My wife and I purchased new Maytag dishwasher in 2011. Worked well for 9 months and then control panel went out. We bought a Sears with 1 year warranty. Sears fixed but then 2 more repairs followed with blown fuse and pump motor went out. We knew this was a lemon so we purchased an extended 3-year warranty through Maytag. Well the unit only works for a month or two then we are constantly calling for repairs. We just had the pump replaced a 3rd time and yep you guessed it the unit is loud again so here comes repair 15. The warranty contract states that if the same part fails 3 times, Maytag will replace the unit new one time and voids any further repairs. My wife and I are very frustrated and lost all confidence with the Maytag company. Our old one lasted 14 years and this new one is a piece of junk. The company reviewed my request of unit replacement but was denied for whatever stupid reason. This unit has over 5000 dollars worth of repairs not counting the lost time of appointments waiting for the repair. My wife has had to stay home and wait for 4 to 8 hours an appointment. She has many other obligations to do with her time. Its sad that Maytag does not stand behind their product. Its my conclusion that this company does not want to sell good product, they only want to sell extended warranties. Your products are not reliable if you have to offer warranties. I would like to see if I can get to repair 30 before my warranty expires by March of 2015. Maybe I could then see if 30 repairs would make the Guinness Book of Records on the most repairs done on a dishwasher with extended warranty. That would be something the company could be proud of dont ya think.

Purchased model MBF1958XEB4 September 2012. The unit is provided with a bottom freezer. About 2 month age water was forming and freezing on the bottom of the freezer compartment and leaking on the floor. It appears that this is a common design flaw recognized by Maytag with an updated part available that is intended to correct this problem.Contacting the extended warranty company I was informed that this is normal maintenance and not covered under the plan. Liars!! One does not remove a car engine to change the oil. To correct this problem the refrigerator is required to be pulled from the wall, disconnected from power, remove the back lower cover, disconnect two wire cables, replace the drain tube and reverse the process. Normal maintenance - give me a break. The company promoting this phony plan is Federal Warranty Service Corporation in Atlanta, GA. Do not buy a plan from them and if you have one cancel and receive a refund if possible. Maytag get into another business because your product is junk.

Maytag AquaLift Oven #YMER8880BW - The aqualift technology does not clean the oven. It is sorely inadequate. I bought Maytag because of its reputation. This range should be recalled as should all their ranges with this useless technology. Buyers BEWARE! Do not purchase any range from Maytag which advertises Aqua Lift technology. This purchase has soured your reputation Maytag. I also purchased a fridge with the stove. I will NEVER buy a Maytag product again. I also would like to ask frustrated and disenchanted readers how they are getting their ovens cleaned. What product(s) can be used. Maytag - complete FAIL!!

A pure piece of junk this wash machine is. It is more of a merry go round than a wash machine. I do not understand how it can be called energy efficient. All it does is spin and spin and clothes come out as beautifully dirty as they were loaded. If you make the mistake of putting a few extra clothes (machine calls itself a large capacity), clothes bunch up and one has to pull them apart. The bleach dispenser was used as one would use a bleach dispenser. However it is all rusted. I had bought extended warranty from Lowes but Lowes did not honor the warranty saying rust was a cosmetic issue. Yet when Lowes sold the extended warranty, they did not specify cosmetics were not covered. It is not even cosmetic. It simply is cheap enamel paint.I have used 200 dollar wash machines but never have I experienced such a horrible and annoying product. I will try one more time to see if Maytag will help out with the rust issue. If not, I will simply cut my losses and buy a regular cheap machine. Maytag should be ashamed of itself. I bought a Maytag because I thought they made the best machines!!! Oh! Well, maybe they did at one time.

Our oven is 3 years old and the last time I used the self clean option caused the control panel to malfunction. Now we have to buy a new panel. The repair guy online advises people not to use the self clean as this is a common problem!!! What? I cant use that feature? That is so ridiculous!!! Now we have to pay $300. Whatever happened to the Maytag claim to quality and you would never see a Maytag repair man? Something needs to be done about the problem of appliances and electronics being so poorly made and basically disposable.

No matter what we we do we still have soap residue left on clothes, even when we do the 2nd rinse cycle (what a waste of water). We use the correct amount of HE detergent and we use the detergent dispenser but it doesnt helps. The machine just doesnt use enough water. We have removed items that still have DRY SPOTS on them when the cycle is done. Areas that have never gotten wet after a 45 minute cycle. Never once had this happen with an agitator machine. I thought I was safe in buying Maytag for all of my appliances in my new kitchen. I bought a double wall oven Maytag MEW6630DDS. I bought it in late 2010 and have had no issues until August of 2018. I rarely use the bottom but used it in August of this year to cook cupcakes. After baking them and leaving the kitchen for a short while I heard a loud explosive, shattering sound. I walked to the kitchen to see that the bottom oven door had shattered into a million pieces. Thank the good Lord that I was not near it. I contacted Maytag to see if there was a reason it would have done this. They said that there had not been a recall. They sent a repairman at no cost to look at it. He came, took it apart and had no reason for why it would have done this. He left it in pieces and said that he was ordering the replacement door. Maytag advised us to turn off the breaker to the oven. After a month without ovens, the repairman called and said that the part had been discontinued. HA! You think?!? It has the potential to explode. It should have been recalled, not just discontinued. Maytag offered us 20% off a new set of $3000 wall ovens or $150 to pick ours up for disposal. Talk about saving the company money and screwing over the unlucky recipient of a defective product. They ought to be ashamed. I am going to have to replace the broken glass with aftermarket glass. What is going to happen when I use the self cleaning option? What happens when the top door explodes. I am scared to use my very expensive wall ovens that I thought would last at least 10 years. Shaneka at Whirlpool said that people have appliances fail all the time and just have to buy replacements. Do all of them have to replace ovens because doors explode for no reason? I am not the only one this has happened to. I have found several other complaints of this on the internet. Why did they discontinue these door? I wonder.

We purchased the washing machine (MVWB400VQO) on July 9, 2009. Now we must buy a new washing machine as this one is apparently beyond repair, or else the repair costs will far exceed what it would cost to purchase a new machine. We are completely disgusted with its failure, as we paid $822.36, with the delivery fee and the tax. We expected that this machine would last for years, but here we are, 42 months later, having to again invest in a washer. Now that we have a computer and are able to browse your performance reports, we wish we had been able to read them before, in which case we never ever would have bought it at all.Yesterday it spewed water all over our basement, flooding things that should not get wet, providing an atmosphere for encouragement of mold and rust. The motor is gone as the housing is cracked, which was caused by debris getting into it, something that we could not have known or prevented. This is very poor design by your company, in our opinion. We called some repairmen, all useless as apparently the whole machine would have had to be completely dismantled at a rate of $84.00 per hour, and he could not tell us how many hours that would take, to say nothing of finding a new motor for the thing.We will never again buy a Maytag product as they are expensive with a too-short shelf life and there’s nobody who cares when you need help for something that should not have happened at all. I understand Maytag is really not the good old dependable Maytag we used to know and love at all, but rather is now owned by the Whirlpool Corporation, whose products we will never purchase either.I know why that lovable old Maytag repairman we used to see on TV is retired. Its because he could no longer stand the quality (or lack thereof) of the appliances that you are now producing. He is probably home, hiding his head somewhere and hoping nobody will recognize him. I wish we would have never bought this brand and model. Within a month there was a loud banging and the serviceman came out and changed a valve out but it just got a little quieter but never went away. 2nd issue is cloths ball up when your doing bedding. Not sure if they are really clean or not. 3rd when we take the cloths out of the washer we are still seeing soap spots where they were not rinsed very well. We are using the right soap Gain but we cannot wash cloths in the bedding setting. We have to use the extra rinse setting to get all the soap out which defeats the whole savings issue of this machine. It says when you do your monthly machine cleaning it resets the water level but there never seems to be enough water in the tub. Also if your doing sheets in the washer and when the spin cycle starts you have to hold your breath to see if its going to get out of balance which it does 50% of the time so you stop and move things around. Also we cannot put a whole lot of cloths into this big drum because they dont wash correctly. Worst purchase we ever made. With all the negative reviews you would think that Maytag would come out with some fixes but I dont think they really care anymore.

My Neptune dryer purchased in November 2005 had the drum crack at about three years old. I complained so much that they finally agreed to send a replacement drum for free. Now, two years later, the drum has cracked again and tore through the housing on the front of the dryer. The repairman said it would be too expensive to repair. Consumers, beware.

We bought a brand new Maytag refrigerator online model # MSD2660KES and it arrived dead. The first Maytag tech that was sent said he does not recommend us fixing the problem because refrigerant leaking will happen every few years. We were not able to return the refrigerator, so we opted to let Maytag fix it. Here we are 2 years later and sure enough, the refrigerator has stopped cooling. We are out of warranty period, so the service call cost us $65.00. The tech told us this time its the compressor and replacement would cost $650.00 to fix. We are not wasting any more money on this piece of junk.

I bought a Maytag Bravo washer 11 months ago, and I have had nothing but trouble with it. I have had it worked on twice, and now, Sears is sending me a new one, because it is broken again. I would rather have my money back, go somewhere else, and get a new washer. I will never buy anything from Sears again. They could not send a person out for other repairs for 1 week. Then they would have to send out for parts, because the drum is peeling on the tops. So that means more time to wait for parts to come in, and the machine is not spinning out. The cycles are not washing right; sometimes, they wash a cycle 2 times.Sears does nothing but give you a runaround. And the Morrisville Vt. store manager is so rude. He was talking to me like I was stupid. Now, I have to wait 3 more days before a washer comes in from the warehouse after Sears told me it was coming on 4/24 between 9:45-11:45. Then the manager told me I could take the floor model if I want it today, which has scratches on it. I was hoping someday to buy the dryer to match the washer. But now, I do not want anything to do with the brand. I bought a Maytag refrigerator also last year. Its beautiful. Everything is in my kitchen, and I have been working on getting everything to match. I am raising my 2 grandchildren and am on a fixed income. They treat people awfully at Sears, and it is too bad Maytag works with them.

Three years ago, we purchased a gas Maytag double oven, it worked fine for three years, then it blew the breaker. When we turned the power back on, we could not turn the oven off. The control panel had to be replaced, dinner too. We had bought the extended warranty, so that was covered. Last week, after four months, it happened again. We placed an oven thermometer inside the oven and it is was higher than the maximum temperature of 600 which the thermometer could measure. We are currently awaiting a new control panel. Maytag used to be a good name, but recommend you to buy something else.

I am so sorry to see so many people having the same problem. Maytag Dishwasher Model #MDB7749AWM2 purchased 12-10-11. Control Panel needs replaced (260.00...service call, part and labor). Writing this as Ive spent the last 20 mins on hold with Maytag. Im demanding them to make this right. I am extremely dissatisfied with the Maytag Gas stove and oven. The setting are too high and you cannot simmer something, it burns. I tried the oven cleaner and my oven is still dirty. The burner knobs do not have a click feature. I came home to a house filled with gas. I was not using the top burners, so I must have brushed up against the burner knob while using the oven. I was only gone an hour, imagine if I had been gone longer and walked in the door and created a spark on the rug.

This washer came with the home we recently purchased. I used the machine and OMG the spin cycle is NOT quiet.. I posted a video of it on FB. A friend of mine who owns and operates an appliance center watched it.. messaged me back and said Do not call repair man as it is cheaper to buy a new machine... Model MMV4205FZ3 microwave hood combination. No problems with open door signal yet. However, light over the stove burnt out. When removing, it exploded.No didnt unplug first. Previous microwave didnt have a problem with this. Instructions are useless. Didnt say to unplug and doesnt provide a model number for the bulb. Consequently, we have now purchased 5 different bulbs and they dont work. Tested socket and power is going to it. Rep at Ace Hardware said he had heard about this happening several times and provided what was to be the correct bulb -- didnt work.

I purchased a floor model Maytag Dishwasher from Abt electronics about a year and a half ago. 2 months ago, various light started flashing. Somehow I managed to get it going. Some blogs reported it might be a drainage problem. Others suggested pressing a certain sequence of buttons. After Each time I got it to work, it became harder the next. I bought Maytag because my old dishwasher lasted 13 years. What is interesting is that a company whose name Ive forgotten sent me bimonthly requests to purchase a warranty from them. Now they have stopped. I am a single mom of 3 with an unemployed ex. I work and support my family without any assistance. I count every penny. I cannot afford repairs nor a replacement now or any time soon. This is a travesty.My door says 10-year limited warranty and the delineates stainless steel tub and racks and chopper blade, but not the panel. I do not understand how Maytags denial of the problem and their unwillingness to correct the problem can improve their image. I will never purchase from Maytag or its associated companies ever again. First of all, I had a Maytag for many years and could not have been happier. When it came time to replace, I did not even consider other brands. I have had my dryer for less than a month and the interior already looks dirty. I contacted Home Depot where I purchased it and reported the problem I was having and would like to return this model and purchase a higher end model assuming that it would not have the same problems. Home Depot said all appliances are special orders and can not be returned. I could contact Maytag and have someone come out and look at it for no charge. I contacted Maytag and they told me that they could have someone come out but if they decided it was just cosmetic, there would be nothing that could be done and I would be charged. I said, I am telling you it is cosmetic! Why would I pay someone to tell me that? The guy suggested I take a damp rag to clean it. I said think about all clothes that are being dried are damp!! I purchased a Maytag Bravo washing machine item # 26 23872 for $617.69 on 11-23-11 and it was delivered and set up on 12-02-11. My problem is if you have dirty sweaty clothes, you cannot get them clean with such little water. I used the HE detergent as directed. I talked to a woman at the local Sears Appliance store this morning, 7-11-12, about it. She said I need to use Affresh. So I did clean my washer but with a similar brand and my clothes are still stinky. I have even washed an empty load or two with bleach and hot water. I make sure I wash with hot water and completely dry my clothes.When you take a bath and dry yourself off with a towel, it smells like a musty basement. I am allergic to mold. I cant even take a wash cloth, get it wet and wash my face without wanting to throw up from the smell. I have had guest comment on the towels as well. Its embarrassing. The problem is you cannot clean something with an inch of water in the machine. I am 58 years old and now have to do the wash. I went to the store and asked if we could return it for an exchange or anything like a discount on a new one and she would not budge. She said it had to be within 90 days but 90 days was in the middle of winter and I was not having dirty sweaty clothes from doing outdoor yard work.Now that summer is here, 7 months later, my clothes have been smelly for a few months. I cant take it anymore. I showed the woman that I had been to Lowes and had an estimate of 10% off with free delivery, set up and haul away. She said she could do 15% but when you add on the delivery fee, it was higher than Lowes. I purchased my whole upgraded kitchen stainless steel appliances for about $7,000 and this set of washer/dryer but Sears could not help me out? What a disappointment that a loyal customer such as me could not at least get free delivery on a new washer. I went right back to Lowes and ordered the same machine I wanted Sears to sell me matching Lowes price.So now, I am stuck with a 7- to 8-month-old machine still in the one year warranty that is like new but is a worthless piece of junk as my clothes all stink. I just started searching the web for information on this item due to the problem I am having. My Neptune Front Loader Model MAH55FLBWW washer makes horrible noises when on spin cycle, and is out of alignment so that the hard plastic bit around the opening is being scraped off. Some of my more delicate items have been ruined or damaged due to this. I bought the Neptune washer/dryer set with stands probably 10 years ago from Home Depot. I am sure the warranty has long since expired, and I have not contacted anyone about possible repairs. At this time, I am not financially able to do much about this. I have never had much of an issue about mold, no issues at all with the dryer, and no motherboards needing to be replaced. From reading what others have had to deal with on this site, I consider myself lucky.

Prior to purchase, I did my due diligence and read reviews about this washing machine. Apparently, they were written by Maytag employees, because this washing machine has been a major disappointment. Yes, it tangles clothes and sheets, but I feel that is to be expected since it is HE and uses less water. I will give it that and I dont have to dry nearly as long. But that is where my positivity ends. Clothes dont always come out totally clean. And then there is the issue with the horrific grinding noise. The machine has been making a progressively louder, angry, grinding noise with a high-pitch end note. And as of today, a horn type noise has started. Lovely.I anticipate the machine is on its last legs and I have only had it a few years. I spent too much money on this and feel like I have been misguided and, quite honestly, ripped off by Maytag.

I purchased this washer in January 2017 at our local Home Depot here in Mexico. It was a washer/dryer combo. Now, in July, a mere 6 months and only a few wash loads later, it has gone from the worst machine I have ever owned to what I consider to be garbage material. First of all, it boasts about not using much water. This is true... Only 1/4 of your load is in the 3 inches of water at the bottom of the machine and the top 3/4 never even gets wet. I couldnt believe it. Now, I put 2 sheets in this morning and it fills almost to the point of spilling out, though I have to give it credit for shutting off the water before it actually did so. This is a NEW washing machine!!! I, along with a lot of other folks from what I am now discovering, are all in the same boat. I remember Maytag being a mark of excellence way back in the day... This is no longer the case. Stay away from this company... I know I will.

Shortly after having this appliance custom wired and installed into the kitchen cabinets above our gas range, we found that the microwave no longer worked. The window where the digital clock shows the time instead Showed SE. I hit the clear button and the microwave once again worked. This happened again on many occasions and the clear button corrected this malfunction. Now this has happened once again but nothing Ive attempted clears the System Error or reboots the microwaves brain. Ive contacted many appliance repairmen but as soon as I mention Maytag they inform me not to repair the microwave as it costs more to repair than to replace. Ive attempted to purchase a new circuit board and repair it myself but no one has the part available. This appliance was purchased in April, 2009. Can anyone recommend a Microwave Brand as a replacement for this disappointment?

Bought mdb7609aww2 dishwasher in 2010. Now I cant use it as it will not start even though the panel lights of my selected wash cycle work. I looked up on internet how to reset it, but I only get a half cycle. Called customer service and for $269, I can get it fixed and get a one-year warranty. Wow, what a deal. Might as well get a new dishwasher. Joining the lawsuit. It is about time corporations take responsibility for defective merchandise, not make money to correct their mistakes by charging customers for overpriced parts and stupid worthless warranties. Purchased a Bravo set 5 years ago. Paid $730. For the washer. 4 repairs in 5 years. It is now has a bearing out and that will cost $450. MAYTAG used to be the best... buyer beware!

1 year 4 month old fridge went out. Waited a month for part/repair. No help from customer service. $1200 fridge, $700, lots of angry calls, no luck. Customer service is horrible. This is the most horrible washer ever. Within 3 months it would not go beyond sensing mode and never fill or wash. Tech came and fixed it... 3 times. It still happens and I have to jiggle it all around to activate it. Clothes are never clean, dog hair is never washed out... My broken old agitator machine was taken to the dump & I wish I had it back! How do the stores give this machine a good rating?? I cant do light quick washes, I have to wait forever... Our water bill is 2x higher than ever because if I dont fill the tub with deep water, the clothes dont even all get wet. Hate, hate, hate this thing.

My Maytag over the range microwave has given me nothing but troubles since my purchase. The turntable off feature never worked, and now the side control panel is barely hanging on because of broken plastic connectors. The handle is now broken in half. I will never purchase another Maytag product. Buyer beware.

Yesterday, the main compartment of the refrigerator is not cooling. The freezer still is working. This unit is 2.5 years old! I have never bought an extended warranty before, but on day one, this unit hardly ever shut off. It didnt seem like the electric bill was any higher but never felt good about the unit. Plus, I hated the ice cubes all over the floor when I pulled out the lower drawer. The monitoring device is in the roof of the fridge and takes up a lot of square footage. Nope, will never buy another Maytag. If their products cant last more the at least eight years, then it is such a waste of our money. Do better! Im writing Consumer Report and the President of the company. Who replaces all the food loss?

I purchased a Maytag quiet series dishwasher (Model Number: MDB6759AWW) for $500.00 in May 2009. Three months later, I started experiencing difficulty with the control panel. One light would continue to blink and it would not do anything else. I called to have it repaired but by the time he was to come out, it started working again only to stop working again the next week. On 7 Oct 09, the repairman came out and replaced the panel. Then, about six months later, it stopped working again. I called again but canceled the appointment because it started working again. Then, after having it for one year, it stopped working again and I called only to be told that it was no longer under warranty. Now, we cant get the control panel to do anything. From all the other similar complaints I have read, it seems like there is a defect with the control panel. A dishwasher should last for more than one to two years. This is very frustrating.

We had perfectly working 20 year old top loading white Whirlpools w/ an agitator, when we remodeled our home and wanted new pretty grey appliances and decided to donate our machines to the church. I chose Maytag top loading due to their former reputation we experienced with dishwashers, etc. It had an agitator, deep fill option, extra rinse, etc. The sales person at Home Depot stated, the agitator is because people like you still want the agitator, and the deep fill will give you the water you have been used to. Not so at all!!Clothes get wound up together, even with filling the wash tub in bundles, there is almost NO water to thoroughly clean & the rinse cycle is a joke. Clothes do NOT come out clean. Im 58 yrs. old and have been doing laundry since I was 13 so I know what I am doing. Its just my husband and I now, and he is so upset that his clothes are pilling probably from rubbing together, even though I occasionally use laundry bags. I seriously wish I would have saved my money and kept the 2 perfectly working whirlpool units I had. This has been such a disappointment. I sincerely would not buy these.P.S. Weve had service out at least 5 times in the last year, and all they do is test the washer and tell us its working as intended... The last thing that is going to happen is we are going to get refunded for a different set, even though we were educated over and over what it would do by Home Depot associates. We are heartbroken. Maytag is going to lose their former reputation on these washers a dryers :( There is simply not enough water to clean or rinse things!

I have had this machine for 15 years and never spent a penny on any maintenance, I love it. Some things are worth it and it still has a stylish look and cleans great. The only thing I would change is if it didn't have any the middle washer paddle so it would have more space like the newer models.

We have had our Maytag dishwasher for more than two years. Heres how it stacks up: Energy Star rated-Yes; Noise-Almost inaudible except when water runs; Length of Cycles-long except for quick wash 59 minutes; Interior design and loading - 10 out of 10. This is the easiest dishwasher to load and it holds an enormous amount of dishes of all sizes and shapes. Adjustable and removable racks-Yes both. Everything fits including my barbecue and oven racks! Amazing. Stainless interior-Yes including silverware rack. Cleaning- 10 out of 10. Even on a quick wash (59 min) cycle this dishwasher cleans everything! I run a longer cycle just to sanitize if we have sickness in the house. Otherwise it is 59 minutes to finish. Drying-Like most dishwashers this one is only so-so in the drying department, especially on the short cycle. Without plastic containers or utensils the machine dries more completely. However, the amount of moisture remaining after a quick or regular cycle is minimal. The water tends to pool on bottoms of glasses and plastics mostly. Easy to dry by laying a cloth across top rack. Dries in just a few minutes.My only suggestion to Maytag is to work on drying technology to make the machines more efficient and effective. However, that being said, I wouldnt trade this machine for any other. It has every feature I love and a 10-year warranty on parts as well! My machine cost around $600.00. It was neither the top nor the bottom of the line.

Maytag/Whirlpool dishwasher control panel FAILURE MDB7749SAM - Just like all the above comments about this dishwasher... I too have been a victim. Control panel stopped working after 1 1/2 years. Turned on by itself like other have commented and will not let you push any buttons. Maytag/Whirlpool refuses to do anything about this at all and will cost me over $250 to fix an appliance I purchased at $499. How disgraceful of a company to not stand by their product... A huge shame on you Maytag/Whirlpool for not standing behind your product. If anyone knows of a way to get involved with a class action suit against this company I would like to get in on it.

Washer has plenty of functions for me to was even my work clothes. These saves me money and time. Washer leaves clothes clean and you can even wash your blankets.

My front load Kenmore just fell apart. I guess Im lucky I have had it for 8 years and now its broke. I could fix it but thought it would be better to get a new one. I looked at all the reviews for front load washer and could not find one that had positive reviews. So I went with a top load. After reading all the complaints I might have made a mistake, but its too late now as it was delivered yesterday and now doing the clean cycle. Oh my…what junk they all produce now - a true throwaway society. My refrigerator is still working after 24 years what a gem of a product. Happy days.

Maytag Top Loading Washer-We bought this machine a little over a year ago and it is one of the worst products weve ever purchased. More often than not clothes barely get wet and then wad up into a twisted mess which stops the machine. Ive had to restart a load over and over. And, the clothes are not as clean as they were from our former Maytag washer which lasted 14 years. The new washer has to be cleaned at least once a month or it smells. We purchased this washer from HHGregg and they are no longer in business or I would complain to them about selling faulty products. I dont know why the manufacturer decided to remove the agitator from new models. What a mistake! We have decided to get rid of this washer and buy another brand. No more Maytag (or Whirlpool) products... ever!

We paid for a brand new washer and dryer from Maytag/Whirlpool. Right on the machines it has stamped in a metal plate 10 year warranty. So at 4 years when my washer started screeching and smoking I called for service. Yes, there had been a leak that burned out something in the engine and the bearings were shot etc etc. But they have been back 3 times. Each time they lack some part. I first called them on July 29, 2020. Today is October 13, 2020. They have still not got the washer repaired. I need to do wash every day. We are a family. We also have a senior in her 80s. And dogs. I need to do wash every day. So for weeks I went to the laundromat. That cost a fortune. Then a couple of weeks ago I impulse bought a new washing machine. A Samsung. On sale. Doesnt match the Maytag dryer. And the old washing machine got moved out to the garage. Its the pandemic. I cant keep going to the laundromat. What good is a warranty if Maytag/Whirlpool always has excuses for why they dont have parts. Its the motor. The very basis of the machine. It took them 2 weeks just to look for one. You wouldnt believe the excuses they make when we talk. But I am really unhappy with the way it all worked out. What good is a repaired machine 3 months later than I needed it. I had to buy a new machine. Why didnt they just tell me to do that on day 1 so I could avoid the laundromat. Why are they spending so much money to basically repair everything in that washer when they could have just bought me the new machine. When is a warranty not a warranty at all, but just a big lie?

Eight years ago we bought all new top-of-the-line, stainless steel refrigerator, double oven range, dishwasher and microwave. All began malfunctioning within the first year: *The refrigerator began to make a loud rattle and the digital control pad needed to be replaced -twice within the first year. Within the next year the compressor had to be replace. *Dishwasher electronic control board was replaced twice, broke again and is still broken. *Microwave door handle broke off, and turntable motor broke.*Range burner ignition system only works on two burners and the shelf for the top oven does not fit -*Maytag refused to replace. Also, after using self-cleaning feature the lower oven still fills the room with smoke so it has been used very little. So, how much worse could it be? I had faith in Maytag-thats why we bought the brand.

It was alright for a while. Then it started ripping up my clothes. The machine is not overloaded, enough water has been added but, when I take the clothes out they are torn. Not a good experience. I have seen several reviews on the Centennials, none of them good. What is the problem. I am hoping my experience gets resolved.

Maytag dishwasher model #MDB7609AWB2 - The control panel on this dishwasher has just gone out for the fifth time since 12/10. Last time I also had to replace the control board also.

I, like SO many other people, am experiencing problems with a relatively new Maytag dishwasher. Mine is Model MDBH979SAB1. I have owned the dishwasher for 4 years but use it 6 months of the year and, because I live alone, maybe twice a week. In effect, it has the equivalent of less than a year of normal use. My problem is the same as countless other people. I can tell from how it behaves that it needs a new control board. I find little comfort in the fact that I one of several thousand people experiencing a problem with a newer Maytag appliance. What concerns me, after reading many negative reviews and seeing Maytags response, is that Maytag does not seem to care. We need to get the word out. We need a massive boycott of Maytag. We need to hit them where it hurts: in their bottom line. Since they seem to be content to continue to put out defective products, the only way to protect consumers is to put Maytag out of business.

I purchased a Maytag Bravos washer and dryer combo 2.5 years ago. Six months in, I noticed that the washer would always stop halfway through the cycle. We had a repairman come out because it was under warranty and he said it just had to be reset. I then started to become weary of the product. The washer, that is larger than most, is still a problem today. The dryer, the last couple of months, has not dried clothes completely. Today the dryer just stopped. Maytag will rip you off when called for service because the warranty is expired. I have owned old dryers for several years and I am so disappointed with the Maytag product that I will make sure that anyone I know thinking about purchasing a Maytag will buy another brand. The worst washer and dryer I have ever owned.

My Neptune washing machine does not drain or spin. It keeps going unbalanced. I am told that I used the wrong detergent. The machine takes a whole day to wash a small load of clothes and then never finishes. Clothes and towels are constantly being ripped and torn. This Maytag product is inferior and we have paid a lot of money for this product that does not work. Repairs to this product are not advised, we have been told that we just need to buy a new one again. This is poor service and poor advice.

Called to schedule service for letters on door to be replaced ice and water completely rubbed off until you didnt know which one you were getting. Refrigerator is less than 10 months old. Also freezer door was hung lower than refrigerator door. Was told nothing could be done. It was a cosmetic issue. Very rude customer service dept and I talked to two separate people and they were both rude and unwilling to help. I can promise you I will never buy any of their appliances again.

Bought the Maytag model MFI2670XEM and within 6 weeks freezer wasnt making ice. Repairman came and fixed it, within a couple weeks same problem again. It was fixed and within a couple months same problem. Fixed, but makes very little ice. Now 18 months later after purchase freezer is leaking water onto the floor. Very disappointed!!! After reading other Maytag reviews I am worried I will have to dump this relatively new refrigerator and buy another (wont be a Maytag) and our upgraded dishwasher from Maytag is terrible! I hand wash all my dishes before putting them into the dishwasher. The smallest bit of ketchup or sauce is not washed away in the wash cycle. Our Maytag stove/oven seems to not heat correctly, as well. Internal temperature gauge reads 5-15 degrees off all the time. Thumbs down Maytag! Extremely disappointed with Maytag products! Will never buy again!

Maytag French door Bottom Mount Model # MFT2976AEW02 - Purchased this model refrigerator in late 2013. Had minor problems with ice maker for last 6 months, not have freezer problems, as the bottom freezer is not keeping food frozen. Called repairman today. He ran 64 checks on refrigerator, said to keep eye on problem and he will re check in 24 hours. Called private company, Maytag in Latrobe. They referred us to the Maytag repairman. We will keep you posted. We moved all of our frozen food to a downstairs older freezer for safekeeping. Keep checking, we will update.

A refrigerator has to keep your food at constant temperature. The first Maytag refrigerator I purchased from Home Depot could not get cold. I mean the refrigerator never got below 65 degrees. I called Maytag and they played dumb. Just wait weeks for a repairman to check a brand new product that is not working. Home Depot replaced it in few days with another refrigerator of the same model. It runs but doesnt get really cold (it only has a fan in the freezer and the air comes down from the freezer to cool the refrigerator). I live with it because all you will get out of Maytag/Whirlpool is to turn the dial to a colder temp. A little over a year passes and the fan in the freezer just stops running. I called a local certified service person. He looks at the fan and says that its running but barely. I had to replace the motor at cost with labor of around 200 dollars. I kept the motor. Turns out the motor is made by Panasonic. The current replacement motor is made in Mexico. Now the refrigerator runs cold. Since I had two of these refrigerators that failed to get/stay cold, I think they got a bad batch of motors. Maytag response was to refuse to pay a dime, it is outside of the warranty - even though I had called about the refrigerator not getting real cold on the second refrigerator. So basically I lived with food being kept at a way too high of temp causing spoilage for a year and Maytag/Whirlpool could care less, they are only worried about their bottom line.That is not the only problem with their product. The drain pan grows a mold that looks like pudding. The only way to clean it is to pull the refrigerator out, take off the motor area cover (which is really cheap cardboard) and clean it out with a rag. There is no way to remove the pan. The compressor is mounted so low that it heats up the floor. I have concrete floors thus I have no fire risk but if you have wood floors, I would check the heat level. It is nearly impossible to clean the dust off the fins on the refrigerator coolant lines. The back of the freezer door shelves are metal and very sharp on the back. Thus if you stick your hand in to pick something up, you will get a nasty cut.I have owned only Maytag, Whirlpool and Amana products my entire life. I will never purchase their products again. They may pretend that you are buying an American product (they use the American flag) but this product is nothing but OEM garbage made by the lowest bidder. They try to sell you an extended warranty for around 300 bucks for an addition 3 years. I figured if the fridge went bad after 3 years, I would just buy a new one. I never expected a motor to fail less than a year (I would say it started going bad about 6 months into ownership as started making ice at a lower rate). Maytag refuses to stand behind their products. When I told them I had the motor that failed, they had no interest in even looking at it. Do not waste your money on their products. I also own a Maytag washer that is the worst washer I have ever owned.

1998 MAH4000 - I got this unit (used) in 2004 for $400, and it has pretty much kinda been a lemon ever since. I have babied it through until now, though it had the wax motor repaired twice (Im glad I bought an extended warranty from Maytag, but that added $400). Now the motor control has gone out. I like the concept of the front-loader, but my folks Maytags (and my grandparents) have run for 30+ years without any of the hassles Ive had.Granted, I like bleach, so the mold thing has been less of an issue for me, but wow. I have to say I wont ever purchase another Maytag appliance again. Im about to drop the $185 for a new motor (the motor control board went out, and apparently I need to get the new motor and control). Im pretty sure I lost a phase based on the burnt components on the board. Im glad I know a bit about electronics, or else Id really have been in for some money. Boo on this model!!

My husband bought me a Maytag washer as a surprise gift. I was so excited to get a Maytag. I will never purchase a Maytag again. I am so tired of washing, rewashing and rerinsing my clothes and still not getting the soap out. I have used every different kind of detergent and used with and without fabric softener. I have also tried cold, warm and hot water. I would rather use more water and get the soap out instead of using more electricity to keep rewashing my clothes and then in the end having to take a wet cloth to get the soap out. Never had to do this with any other washer I owned. Very disappointed as I always thought Maytag was the best.

These are the issues, Water level is ridiculous, clothes often have dry spots, I use only the high water level which is a joke. The tub bottom is very hard to reach because it is too deep even for a man with a long reach. The tub itself is about 16” deep but never fills more than 4” of water on the high water setting. Why such a deep wide tub when you can only put 4” of water? Cleaning is poor, the machine is very noisy, very. The worst machines we have ever purchased with ridiculous sensors, bells and whistles. The dryer takes forever to dry clothes and again the sensors are a joke. The high efficiency of the units means you work much longer for clothes that are wrinkled, spotted, less clean looking and sometimes damaged. Where is the savings? And don’t say hydro and water as the washer cleaner cost, wipes that out and more. We gave our 26 year old machines to Habitat, neither machine was ever serviced and were in perfect condition, they were Maytag. They have destroyed their name. So sorry we decided to modernize our laundry room.

MHW60X - I experienced a problem in May of 2015, and the repairman told me it was the master board, and he has seen this many times. He said that the MCU board goes out after 3.0 - 3.5 years!! This is exactly how old my machine was! The cost to repair this was almost what the machine cost, and this is unacceptable. I have had Maytag washers my entire adult life, and my prior one lasted approximately 20 years, but after this I am not sure I will consider another one in the future. To have a major part burn out soon after the warranty expires should not happen. I contacted customer service to find out the experience and reported problems on this model, but could not obtain any information, other than they have received calls about this model. I asked Maytag to reimburse me for the part - at a minimum, and they refused stating it was out of warranty and they could do nothing. Apparently they do not care about their reputation anymore, which is sad, since they used to be so well regarded!

Purchased a Maytag MBF2256HEW bottom freezer in 2005. About fours ago, I had to replace the control board to the tune of $140.00. Today the fridge quit working and this time it appears to be the compressor, so tomorrow we will be shopping for a new unit. It will not be a Maytag.

Purchased the Maytag Bravos washer and dryer at Home Depot. Previously had a Maytag set that was 25 plus years old that still ran well but was rusting out due flooding. Figured Maytag had great products. Have had mine for 4 years now and had nothing but trouble. Paid countless service calls, mainly on washer, will work for a short while and then stop again. Cant put more than 4 towels, or 3 pairs of pants or basically anything or the codes start popping up. I am so angry that a product I paid a lot of money for is such a piece of crap. Maytag Company has been no help and I see with all the complaints on this site I am not the only one who feels this way. A class action suit would be great!

This dishwasher was here when we bought our home. It has been heating up way too much on the drying cycle. I turn it off and air dry the dishes but today I noticed it melted my plastic measuring cup. I had the heat turned off and opened it as soon as it started the drying cycle.

About 6 years ago we purchased a new french door style refrigerator. It lasted one year and one month then needed over $700 in repairs. First you need to know I am into electronics, DeVry graduate with 30+ years experience in repairing electronic devices. The Maytag basically frosted over in the freezer and was warm in the upper part of the fridge. I called a friend who had experience fixing fridges and lo and behold we found something really unusual.The way this machine operates is by blowing the cold air from the freezer up into the fridge. There is a fan located in the back of the freezer wall that does this. We found the fan, which was mounted in a grey box, spinning at about 2 revolutions a minute. My friend took me to the wholesale parts distributor he uses and we gave them the brand (Maytag) model (MFD2561HES) and they gave us a fan... just a fan with two wires. No grey box with fan inside... At this point I got curious, I mean WTF?!?The grey box was made not to be opened and I had to get clever so as to not damage whatever was inside it. After getting it open I discovered the fan inside was wired to a circuit board which upon inspection was a timing circuit. This is why the fan still turned only too slow to function. The new fan was installed and my only problem with the fridge now is the ice maker, which I disconnected.Conclusion: Maytag actually designed this fridge to break down and require hundreds of dollars of repairs AFTER the warranty expired by installing a timing circuit that disables the fan that drives the cool air to the upper part of the fridge to keep your food cold and your freezer frost free. Replace the grey box with a normal fan and youll get years of good use out of your French Door Maytag! As long as you clean the seals regularly and dont mind buying ice to fill the tray with... The repair cost me $39 and a six pack of beer for my friend.

Dishwasher MDB7749SBM - Have the same problem as everyone else, panel board (2nd one, 1st was under warranty). This panel W10475787 is 2 years old. Keeps lighting up doing what it wants to do. Dishwasher is 3 years old. Cant find out if there is a recall on this part (there should be).

I had a stroke last year in August and my children got together and bought me a washer. And after the third use this thing started messing up and I had to call in someone. Now the warranty is up and I am sitting here with a new broken down machine.

Bought Maytag Neptune Washer/Dryer set and had trouble with the washer from the beginning. It seemed gentle, but ATE my finer clothing, even on the gentle cycle. But the biggest issue was with the Dryer. I had it a little over 6 months & when I turned it on it made a noise, like an earthquake or the rapture was upon us. Got nowhere with the rep & warranty info, & based on the other reviews on here & the fact I really needed my dryer I called a serviceman from my area & thought Id just bite the bullet since its a set and hopefully this was just a fluke. After two house calls, I ended up paying over $500 for a new drum, & was furious. Ive had the cheapest, crappiest washer/dryers from when I was a poor college student that held up YEARS better than this!!! Didnt have the money or means to buy and transport a new or new(er) set & get rid of this JUNK in my laundry room, so, I just hoped I could buy some time. Hmmmph. You know, its almost as if Maytag actually WORKED to make these foul up! And they care NOTHING about customer service or fixing THEIR MESS either. My washer eats many of my items, but the WORST is the Dryer. It comes on when it feels like it, and when it doesnt - well, it will take a break and determine on its own accord whenever siesta time is over --- could be a day, but has been up to three or four days before it suddenly starts working again. This was the worst purchase Ive made in a while. Guess when the next time I purchase anything labelled Maytag will be. Yep the rapture will be sooner.

Maytag french door 2015 refrigerator. Not happy at all. Freezer gets rim frost on sides of pull drawers and the smell is like dirty socks when motor is running! The whole kitchen stinks???

I just purchased this Maytag Commercial Technology Washer and Dryer on August 31st, 2018 and We hooked it up today Sept 4th 2018. I put a small load of towels in this machine and it said it would take an hour and thirty seven minutes to wash. I added my detergent and pressed all of the necessary buttons and started the load. the machine started spinning and testing and adjusting. I waited to hear the water start to come into the washer but nothing. I then checked my water lines thinking they are not on but they were. Through the smokey glass on the washing machine, I could see water dripping as if it is hooked up to a slow drip IV Machine.I am taking this thing back ASAP!!! First thing in the morning on Sept 5th 2018 I do not need to call Maytag Customer Service because they know it is a piece of junk, so I do not need to waste a moment with this crap on my property. I see Maytag does not believe in a QUALITY ASSURANCE DEPARTMENT because that department would put a stamp of approval on this Junk for distribution.No Washing machine should take more than 30 minutes (40 mins max) to wash no clothes. I will have to invest in an old school scrub board and rocks, then I can understand an hour and thirty minutes worth of wash time. I have set the timer on my phone when I started this load and My towels have been in the washer for an hour so far and I can still hear the slow IV DRIP OF WATER going. I just checked the machine and the digital reading is saying it has an hour and thirty three minutes to go. there is no water in the tub of this washing machine. The towels are wet from the IV drip and the machine is now pretending to agitate the dirty towels but it is only going in one direction. It is truly a sad state of affairs, your hard earned money gets you nothing but junk and a runaround.

We purchased Bravos series Maytag washer and dryer. These are a match pair, the top loader, extra large capacity, very top of the line, $$$$$. The washer has already been replaced after many repairs, but the replacement new Maytag leaves a powdered gray residue on all the clothes because of the small amount of water it puts in the washer tub. Even on the deep water cycle, if I put in a blanket it will come out of the washer half dry where water has never reached it. This washer is the worst I have ever seen and cost top dollar. Maytag says nothing wrong but when I show them the powdered residue on the clothes they refuse to answer. This is the worst engineered washer ever, tangles the clothes terribly, does not clean the clothes and usually forces you to wash them twice to removed the soap residue left on them. I have tried every soap on the market, stacked clothing as Maytag suggested, tried various tricks Maytag has suggested, but nothing stops the grey soap residue. This washer cost almost a $1,000 for just the washer, it is a disaster. I have asked Maytag to refund my money but they refuse. If anyone else has their washer - we need to join in a class action lawsuit to force Whirlpool, maker of Maytag to replace this piece of garbage!!!

Purchased Maytag dishwasher July 2013, installed August 2013. Stopped working Oct 2, 2014. Called Maytag and they offered to let me buy a service pan for around $300. No thanks, stupid Im not. I also sent an email. Have not heard back but Im sure Im still out of luck. According to the California class action suit regarding the Maytag control panels, Maytag is saying there are no problems with them. Wish we all had some power to make them see otherwise. Will I ever buy a Maytag product again. No. They would be much better off keeping their customers happy rather than spending tons of money on ads trying to get new customers. Since Maytag is owned by Whirlpool, they will not get my money either.

Maytag Bravo Washer - I recently purchase a fairly expensive washer built by Maytag. In my opinion it is the worst washing machine I have ever owned. Again in my opinion their advertising about being such a reliable company should be considered false advertising, and near criminal. If you had a lower rating I would use it. Absolutely you should never use the word Bravo in a description of this washer. I will never purchase a Maytag appliance again. Check the internet for reviews before you purchase. I had just came out of surgery and in a wheelchair and trying to move back home and didnt do my homework.

I purchased this gas range from Home Depot in 2011. From the beginning I had problems with the cooking racks slipping off the oven wall. In some instances hot liquids poured on the oven floor. I had bought a service contract on this product and when I asked that this be repaired I was told that it was not covered as it was a design flaw. The condition has slowly worsened and now I cannot cook anything in the oven for fear of the racks falling down. This is a safety feature and the oven should be replaced my Maytag.

Maytag dishwasher #MDB 9750AWQ - I am now on the fourth control panel and in less than one year, the present one is starting to fail. The third one failed in less than a year also! I have read the reports of others and apparently, this is not just my dishwasher. Maytag owes its customers a recall of this inferior machine.

I purchased the Bravos Washer and Dryer from an elderly couple who didnt have it more than 6 months. About a year went by and the washer started making a noise when the water extracted and finally flooded my laundry room. I found that a penny had gotten into the plastic housing that extracts the water. This has happened on 2 different occasions. I have replaced the extraction unit 2 times and it now cracked again. Then I started getting F1 error codes and having to restart as much as 6 times so it would start the cycle. This washer has been a royal pain. It is frustrating when you think you are getting a quality product and have nothing but problems. I previously had a Kenmore washer and dryer that lasted me 15 years and was still functioning when we sold the set after buying the Maytag Monster. We only ever replaced the heating element in the dryer once. That was it. I will not consider a Maytag again and possibly not another HE at all. Glad I did not buy them new!

If I could give this a 0-Star rating, I would! I cant believe Maytag would make such an awful washing machine! Within the first 2 weeks I called their service department because (in my opinion) the washer wasnt washing properly. It took over a month and several calls to get someone out to look at the washer & dryer. According to the technician, both machines were operating properly. Apparently the washer is designed to destroy clothing and bedding! The gentle cycle set on deep fill will add just enough water to get the clothing wet, then agitates for about 10 minutes, then it fills up, agitates for 3 more minutes and drains. During the 10 minute dry-run, I watch my clothes get destroyed! I have never seen anything like this! My sweaters are shredded, my tops are pilled up & in a garment bag this thing managed to destroy a sports bra! This machine has ripped my mattress cover in several places and pulled my sheets from excessive rubbing due to not enough water. And what is up with the slow fill? The technician informed me that the trickling water is also normal. If I could return this washer, I would! I will never buy another Maytag because my Bravos washer died after only 4 years, and this one is brutal!

Replaced a Maytag Bravos xl washer and dryer in 2015. First year was fine but almost right after the warranty period, the spinning cycle was loud. You cant even have a conversation near the washer. I put up with it after calling the repair department. Because I was told that it will cost as much to repair than buy a new washer. Now the washer does not drain when a small amount of cloth are in the washer. Dont buy this washer and dryer. Maytag is not as good as it once claim.

We had a $1700 French Door refrigerator delivered in January, the ice maker worked for 4 days. 4 service calls by 2 different companies and still not making ice. After fighting tooth and nail, we finally got a new fridge.. upon installation the water in the door spewed everywhere and would not shut off, so yet another new fridge was ordered and delivered last Friday. So, after countless hours, missed worked wages and having strangers in and out of our home 7 times, they offered us a lousy $50 prepaid gift card for our trouble. After a little long drawn out fight, they increased it to $130 and said that was their maximum compensation: Shame on you Maytag, that values our time and hourly wage at about $1.00 an hour. NEVER AGAIN!!

My Maytag model MDB7749AWWI was purchased from Home Depot on March 10, 2011. On July 12, 2012, my dishwasher would not start. I had out of town guests and then the repair person was out of town, so I did not get anyone out to look at it until July 31. He stated that we had bad controls. The parts would be approximately $420.61. He could not get any parts because everyone was out of this part. Does that mean that all the dishwashers of this model number are broken? Is there a recall? This is unreal. When I was asked if I wanted extended warranty, I said no. If I needed an extended warranty, the equipment must be junk. Well, I needed the extended warranty. It is junk! I will never, never, never purchase another Maytag appliance as long as I live!

We purchased a Maytag front-load washer and dryer in October 2010. In March 2011, all bearings and the drum needed replacement. In July 2011, the pump needed service and now in Sept 2011, we were told a new drum and bearings are needed again. The washer is still under warranty by Maytag. We contacted Maytag to ask for an exchange or a refund but we were told that it wasnt possible.

We inherited this Maytag (Model MGR7662WW) when we bought our house this year. I love this unit. It cooks accurately, its easy to clean and its just rock solid in its performance. I never worry that the cook times are going to be off either. The oven racks are solid and the overall look is nice. Our friends and family love the center grill as much as we do. If I need to pull something off the burner I dont worry that Ill scratch the stove top with this feature. The oven heat is also pretty contained. Our old oven radiated lots of heat through the top. This one doesnt and thats a huge plus. The only reason Im not giving it 5 stars is that the grills are cracking (not the center one). However, I have no way of knowing if the original buyer damaged them or if its a defect in materials. They still work fine but I will need to replace them at some point. Given the cost of replacing them Ill wait as long as I can.

Maytag dishwasher, MDB4651AWW was purchased on 15/02/2010. Touch panel was replaced under warranty on 16/08/2010. Touch panel became defective on 04/07/2012. It was $103 for the service call: panel was not replaced (too costly, > $200). My 2-year old dishwasher is now useless. The touch panel on this model has failed twice in two years and is obviously a design failure. I would ask for a free replacement panel.

I purchased the washer and dryer approx 6 or 7 years ago. Out of the gate about a year the pump had to be replaced on the washer- 2010. 1/2012 the tub needed to be replaced, 6/2012 the PUMP needed to be replaced again! Then 2013 the dryer need a new board at the tune of $391.00. And today, yes - yet once again I need a new pump! Over $2,000 in repairs on these awful machines. I called Maytag because I thought maybe they would care - not so much. The rep told me that the Bravos models were discontinued (shocker) but that she could give me a discount on a new comparable version at ONLY $600. How nice! I will use these until they fail again - which according to history - that wont take long and then I will NEVER EVER EVER purchase a Maytag product again. We work hard for our money and continually giving it to a company (for parts) for a product that they failed to make a quality product is not going to happen again! DO NOT BUY MAYTAG. Do your research and give your money to companies that care. MAYTAG should be held accountable and a class action suit should be filed. They need to GET IT and they never will if we sit back and let them take advantage of consumers.

We purchased both a new Maytag washer & dryer in 2011. Our dryer, Model #7000XG1 all of the sudden started thumping when we were drying our laundry. After we called a technician to come out, he stated we had a crack in our drum. How in the heck does that happen in 4 years time and only laundering for 2 people? Of course this steel drum should not wear out before the other parts, but it did. Since there is a backorder on the replacement drum, it makes you wonder if this problem is wider than it seems. Also, Maytag would do nothing for us other than offer us the purchase of a new dryer at a discounted rate good for only 7 days of their offer. Seriously, how about standing behind your product? And, then again, why would we be enticed to spend that kind of money on the same type of product that has flaws? Uh, duh Maytag or Whirlpool. Silly fools you are.

Purchased Maytag Jetclean Dishwasher Model # MDB7749SBM3 on March 19, 2014 and on June 10, 2017 the washer would not go through the cycles properly. So I got on the internet to check out the problem. Maytag has very flimsy wiring circuit on the back of the control panel that rusts out due to being close to high-temperature water. Obviously a design flaw. The only way to fix it is to replace the control panel for $150 dollars with another flawed part. Do not buy Maytag dishwasher.

I have to rewash many load of dark clothing because pale white smears appear on the clothing most times. Ive tried various cleaning methods to try to remove any residue that might be in the walls of the tub. Unfortunately, I cant afford to replace the Maytag white elephant model 500XWZ, serial C31430894. I no longer have the receipt. Buyer, beware. No Maytags in my future.

In October of 2012 we bought a Maytag Refrigerator Model MFF2258VEM. In the spring and summer of 2014, we noticed puddling on our kitchen floor. We thought it was our dishwasher or sink since the $1800+ fridge was new, but couldnt find the problem. We travel a lot and are gone for extended periods. When we returned in winter of 2014, we discovered that there was substantial puddling and found a sheet of ice in the bottom of the freezer compartment. We did research and found that this is a common problem with all the bottom-freezer Maytag models, which then leak. We discovered that the leak had seeped into our kitchen sub-floor and was destroying all of our kitchen floor tile, causing cracking and breaking, a renovation of just a few years previous that cost a lot of money. There was NO problem with the floor until we put in this Maytag refrigerator. The remedy for the leaking is constant maintenance and a lot of work, totally ridiculous for a product that costs so much. I want to sue Maytag for both replacement of the refrigerator and the cost of replacement of my tile floor. Can someone please advise? Thank you.

I bought my maytag stove model MGR7662WS on January 30, 2011 and have had it serviced 3 times... same problem. I set oven to 350 degrees, put food in oven and later check on food only to find the temperature reads 350 but the oven is cold. Food is not cooked and it smells like gas. I turn it off and turn it back on and it does not turn on most of the time. Service guy keeps replacing parts and says he will replace the same part he just replaced last week. He says sometimes the part comes out defective. I think the stove is defective and I have thrown away so much food because it does not finish cooking and smells like gas. Its so frustrating because my Thanksgiving was ruined two years in a row due to turkey not cooking.

My Maytag dishwasher MDB7749SAM is not quite 5 years old. At the end of December 2016 a bubble appeared on my vinyl floor. The plumber could not find any broken pipes or reason for any moisture to have gotten under the flooring. A flooring company did not know what was causing the bubble, moisture or the vinyl glue had failed. The floor got worse and worse, more bubbles.Called the flooring company again. Raised the register cover and could see all the moisture under the vinyl and underlayment. Plumber discovered the dishwasher fill valve had failed but because there was so much insulation on the kick plate, at the bottom of the dishwasher, it forced the water, which was in a pan under the dishwasher, to push the water to the back by the wall and under the flooring. Plumber said, the insulation acted like a dam to keep the water from showing in the front of the dishwasher. The first and subsequent bubbles, in vinyl were 3 feet away from the dishwasher. No way to tell the dishwasher had the problem. Has anyone experienced this problem? If not, take care to remove the kickplate and check your dishwasher for water problems.

I bought this range Nov 2019, beautiful range that’s it. Stove top scratches very easily and hard to clean. Oven racks rust, got them replaced on the guaranty they still rust. Oven dirty never gets clean, If I could afford it I would on the curbside. I wouldn’t even give it away. 3 oven in 48 years of marriage, worst oven ever.... Sure would like a full refund, I mean 1500. What a ripoff.

We have a bottom freezer Maytag refrigerator and after 2 years normal use it started leaking water onto the floor every day. After researching this problem I see that it is a widespread issue originating from an engineering mistake. I spent a weekend afternoon taking apart the freezer, clearing the frozen drain line, and putting it all back together. Im assuming this will keep happening every so often since it is a Design Flaw! Do yourself a favor and avoid Maytag!

We bought our front load washer and dryer about 5 years ago and have had no problems with either. We also purchased a Maytag French door refrigerator 2 months ago to replace our Sears Elite brand when its compressor went out after 27 months (Ill never buy another Sears appliance).

Bought a nice looking Maytag fridge 2 years ago. For the past 6 months it has been leaking all over the kitchen floor. Most recently it has started leaking every 2 days. It is so frustrating as well as extremely dangerous! Both my younger kids have slipped and fell because of the slippery floor. We now have to keep a towel there all the time.Please let me know if there is a product recall. Not the Maytag we used to have. My parents bought all their Maytag appliances when they got married and they lasted over 30 years! This is why I bought the Maytag fridge... not sure of the quality now.

Disturbing that this product made it into production. I have the matching dryer too, and its just as bad. First the washer rolls up clothes into a tight ball better than I could do if I did it by hand. Then it spins, setting the wrinkles in thoroughly. Then, even though I shake out the clothes before putting in dryer, after the clothes come out of the dryer (without letting them sit in there) - the clothes look like someone drove over them with a car while they were rolled up in a ball. Bonus: the clothes dont even get dried. Ive watched the clothes in the dryer, the drum is designed so the clothes stick to the outside of it and go around, they never actually tumble or get any air circulation. What a disastrous product.

Our brand new Maytag front loader has a optimum (LOL) soap dispenser that can supposedly wash several loads before refilling. BUT, the dispenser fills with water after one load and dilutes whatever soap is left! We talked to a authorized tech who said it was a poor design. That the unit wasnt sealed from water or it would be under vacuum. We called Maytag and they said something like, Um well it has sensors!! Did they explain how it would sense the diluted soap concentration? Nope. It should be replaced by MAYTAG! Knowing it is something that they sell that is defective. Right out of the gate!! The engineer should be fired, the quality department heads fired too!

Brand New 2019 Model 465 Washer and like others are saying is a piece of junk as they do not fill the drum with enough water even on the Deep Water fill option. The laundry does not circulate and nothing gets clean. Maytag is really poorly designed and manufactured these days and a complete Rip Off!

Bravo XL - I purchased this dryer in June 2012. In October, the first thermostat was replaced, again in February 2013 and two within a week from March 8th and March 12th. I was told it was my vent. However, the appliance continually showed venting good. I was told to have it cleaned. I did and it is documented that there was great air flow before and after and only a handful of lint collected. I have spoken with Whirlpool and no one will have the integrity or courage to say it may be a faulty unit. I will never purchase another Whirlpool product. I had spent nearly $5,000.00 in Whirlpool appliances in June of 2012. I feel they will cover any issues until the warranty is completed, and then the problems are mine and at my expense.

So I get the matching set washer and dryer when I moved into my new house. I thought I was getting a nice set. I paid around $1600 for them with the sale they had going on. From day one the washer wouldnt get a full size comforter wet on the bulky cycle or heavy duty cycle. I even tried the extra rinse cycle on both as well. I would have stop it mid wash and rotate the comforter. Clothes wouldnt settle sometimes and would leave the top dry and bottom soaking wet. In the first year the lid latch started going bad. So sometimes you would go back to realize the load hadnt even started. Clothes dont get clean no matter what setting you use. It is the worst purchase Ive ever made. The dryer was ok until its almost second year. It just stopped drying it seemed. I cleaned EVERYTHING! No effect. It takes 3 full cycles at minimum to dry clothes. I cant understand why these machines arent pulled from the market or recalled because they are junk.

Ive had my Maytag (above range model) for about 4 months. The same as everyone else with open/close door error. Faulty door switch. When the interior light doesnt come on, I know I will get the error. You would think Maytag would have already repaired or replaced this door switch part.

In the last 6 years, Ive had a Whirlpool dishwasher that the motor seized due to poor design and overseas Asian motor builder (3 years of normal service). I cleaned the motor and it seems to barely work another couple of months but the design and manufacture process was garbage at best. Thinking I would go with the best produce MAYTAG (Old commercial about repairman having no calls), only to find out that it too was bought out by CRAPPY WHIRLPOOL and it too lasted a couple of years with cheap MADE IN CHINA electronics!!! Thats why we are the laughing stock in the world as far as products.I remember the days of where built in the USA was the best of the best, now with selling our great nation down the toilet so some Wall Street Commie can make his/her biz-zillion dollars and sell this nation down the toilet. Maybe they need to go down to Arlington and see who really has paid the price for their luxurious life-style!!!

I agree with everyone one else and their experience with these washers. I took advantage of a credit for those replacing old washers with new HE washers. IF I COULD ONLY GET MY OLD WASHER BACK!!! Its only 2 years old and it sounds like - what others have said, like a B52 taking off (during the spin cycle). I dont have rust spots inside of the machine or out so Im not sure what the issue is but I really dont want to invest in a couple hundred of dollars to this thing. It stinks, doesnt clean well and now this! VERY disappointed...VERY. As a single mom, the thought of finding money to replace something that is new just disgusts me! Nothing like the old washers that last for 18+ years. Nice Maytag I will never purchase another product of yours and will spread the word!

We have had and used this washing machine for over 25 years and only had one small problem and that was to replace the lid switch and the machine is working today as good as the day we bought it, it has went through raising four kids and many grandkids.

The dishwasher is only one and a half years old and like many others are having trouble with the control panel. The model is MDB89495AWO which cost nearly $800. The dishwasher does not shutdown after an operating cycle. On contacting Maytag with the symptoms they advised that they have never heard of a similar problem. On reading the comments/experience of other Maytag owners I am undecided whether to scrap this unit and buy another make!

I purchased the top load Maytag Commercial Residential washer with an agitator last month. I wanted a basic washer with Hot/Warm/Cold settings, Delicate/Normal/Heavy Duty cycles, Small/Medium/Large loads. I paid over $800 for this washer and I cannot wash my whites or rags in hot water! The hot water setting dispenses hot water, then cold water, back and forth. The end result is cool water. Ive called Maytag, Ive been told that there is nothing that can be done about it, thats how theyre made to be considered HE. I asked them why they even put a hot or warm water setting on the washer.You have no control over the water level, all cycles except for normal run in a deep water setting (full drum of water), I dont know why delicates are in a deep water setting. I only wash a couple pieces of delicates together. I end up using a lot more water and detergent with this washer. I hope we dont have to conserve water in the next few years! So though this washer uses less hot water energy, it wastes a lot of water, my water bill goes up and my detergent is used up much quicker! I cannot add time to my wash cycle, (the actual washing/agitation cycle is very short - 10 minutes) it has to drain all of the water and re-start the cycle with more water! $800 is a lot of money for a washer that doesnt wash like my old cheap washer. The local store cant do anything about it and Maytag brushed me off.

The washer gets mildew all the time no matter how much I use the tablets and yes keep door open. It still has so much. I scrub it and it keeps growing. Sometimes my clothes come out ripped also which is another frustration. Please help these two issues.

My Maytag washer and dryer (5000 Series) is about 2 years old. Just as soon as the warranty ran out, I started getting F35 and suds error messages. Information found on the internet tells me that many Maytag customers have experienced the same problem. Whats up with this Maytag? Since many of your customers have experienced the same problems, are you willing to meet the consumer in the middle by repairing the product at no cost or are you building the appliances to last as long as the warranty?
