Neptune 4000 washer - Worst washer EVER! Two weeks after we bought it sounded like a jet engine during the spin cycle. They replaced the bearing parts. Only cost us 450 in labor. One year later, again the bearing but this time we insisted on full coverage. 6 months later, here we are again! Most expensive washer in the history of washers and this is a KNOWN issue - yet Maytag gets away with it while consumers foot the bill! Ridiculous! Never again will I purchase their product and make dang sure everyone I know stays away too and everyone that hears my washer is in shock that it hasnt injured something or someone. Its only a matter of time!

I bought a Maytag dishwasher (Model: MDBH949AWS2) from Home Depot on 07 April 11 and it died 24 August 11. I called Maytag to set up an appointment for repair. The repair person showed up and stated that the control panel needed to be replaced. Apparently, if moisture gets into the panel it shorts it out. One would think that when designing an appliance that utilizes water and creates steam, it would be sealed. Anyway, the repairman explained that because the dishwasher was in a residential program, the warranty was null and void. I wish that someone would have explained this before I purchased it. I went online to AppliancePartsPro.com and ordered the part for $100.75 including the shipping cost. Then, I went back online to look up how to install the panel. The repair person said that they are charging $133.00 for the part and $129.00 to install. A small star tip screwdriver and 15 minutes was all it took to fix. From what I have read, this will not be the last control panel but, at least, I know how to fix it. Another thing that I know is that Maytag is off my list of future appliance purchases regardless of where Im using them.

Have 2 fridges (one regular and the other is a side-by-side, both were bought in 2006 at Future Shop. The small one is not freezing and the side-by-side ($2,200) is busted too (compressor wont start....). How can Maytag say that their product are reliable on TV??? A Fridges compressor should last at least 15 years !! Maytag, you should at least have the decency to pay for the compressor!

First off I dont usually spend my time writing complaints; however, I feel Maytag is deserving of my complaint. Purchased dishwasher Model #mdbh979sab1 in 2013 and days before the 1-year warranty was up the front control panel quit responding, rendering the appliance useless. Got that fixed under warranty. Now about 1 year later guess what... Its got the same problem. Began to read others post on this site and found that this is a common issue. One person posted that her dishwasher began to smoke and nearly caught her home on fire. Maytag was kind enough to offer a paid service call and enrollment into their extended warranty program. I think Ill cut the umbilical cord on this one and go get something more reliable and doesnt pose a potential fire hazard.

I agree with other reviewers on this site. This top loading HE model does not get your clothes clean. Ive tried hot water, warm water, cold water. Large loads, small loads. Shirts come back with clods of dirt still on them. Pre-treating stain remover doesnt wash out of clothes. Terrible machine. I wish I hadnt bought it!

I have two major issues with my stove. First is that you have to press enter after setting an oven temperature and it doesn’t even beep to remind you before just cutting off. Older, forgetful people like me have probably prepared countless dishes for the oven only to find that it is not preheated. The second is that if you turn on the timer, it cuts off the oven. You only make that mistake once before writing the timer off as useless. I have a hard time believing that they ran either of these by anyone who cooks! One other mixed feature, the heating element for the oven is below the floor of the oven. This causes it to preheat slower - which compounds problem #1 - but makes cleaning a breeze.

We used to own a Neptune Model. After always leaving the door opened and following the recommended monthly cleaning and many extra cleanings with diluted bleach and water, we could not get the smell out. We paid for a new seal, Advice from Washing Machine Repair service even though we paid a lot for an extended warranty. We had to pay for this ourselves. We also had our year to year maintenance. Because we could not fix the issue, nor would MAYTAG, we donated the set to donated it to Salvation Army.We decided to give MAYTAG another chance, so we purchased a brand new FRONT-LOAD WASHER and DRYER in 2014. As I would repeat the same regiment, I would notice little black specks, so I would clean it an extra time with Afresh. I have continued to this date, repeating the same regiment of keeping my washer clean and serviced as we should, I now have the whole tray dispenser spotted with LARGE black goo that smells. So I have continued to clean my Washer.After returning home from the Cleveland Clinic, I was ready to do our laundry from the trip, more black goo and smell coming from my Maytag front-load washer. My sister had stayed with my 86 year old mother and had wash a load of towels while we were gone. She left the door opened also as she was instructed many times, and that is how we found it. So I took the dispenser tray out as usual and bleached it and scrubbed it. As I did this I noticed bigger areas of goo. I looked in the dispenser housing and OMG it was covered with black mold. I am appalled that our $900.00 Washing Machine is like this. This IS BLACK MOLD, There is no way to remove this mold. I have the sides and bottom cleaned with bleach, BUT I cannot get into the multiple crevices.I called Maytag and I was initially told by a Maytag Customer Service Person said that it sounds like BLACK MOLD and MAYTAG COULD DO NOTHING! I asked to speak with a supervisor. At first she seemed a little put off, but as we talked she became more pleasant, I offered to send pictures or a video of the WASHER WITH THE BLACK MOLD and she said no. She told me to pour bleach into each dispensing compartment and the drum. Then run a wash with no clothes on all HOT WATER 2 times, then rinse 2 times and this should get rid of it and to also leave the dispenser drawer open a crack as well as the door after each wash.The Supervisor said ok and thanked her for her help. Then she said good luck and thanks for calling MAYTAG. Ive did and already do everything our Washer manual says to do on cleaning and maintenance of my expensive Maytag Washer and dryer. The manual says nothing about leaving the dispenser drawer open a little so it dries. The bottom of the housing looks great from doing this, along with me scrubbing it until 5:00 am with diluted bleach water. However, in the MANY SEAMS, CREVICES, THE SCHUTE AND POSSIBLY THROUGHOUT THE WASHING MACHINE IS BLACK MOLD that we cannot access without disassembling the machine and voiding our extended warranty.MOLD GROWS RAPIDLY and causes many illness. I already have an ongoing illness since childhood, I take care of my 86 year old mother, my husband just finished cancer treatment in January. We certainly do not need any other health issues. I called my local Appliance repair company and they said that they normally do not handle anything like this, but if my husband couldnt take the outside of the machine off then the top I could pay for a repair person to come out to take it apart then call and have them come back to put it back, pay them again to reassemble our Washer.I believe Whirlpool in its purchase of Maytag has taken a Monkey on its back. Maytag will do nothing, why should they? They already have their money from when we purchased our machines along with money from many other consumers who also have ongoing issues with their WHIRLPOOL/MAYTAG Front-Load washing machines. It is undignified and deceitful how they treat their consumers with such disregard when we have filled their pockets by being loyal customers.Word of mouth is good or bad advertisement for any company. Everyone who has unresolved issues of any kind can write a formal complaint to the CEO and President of Whirlpool/Maytag. The address is on the internet. Shame on Whirlpool/Maytag for taking many consumers hard earned money, when apparently some of Whirlpool/Maytags money is ill gained by developing and manufacturing a consumer product that causes black mold and marketing it to sell to us, the consumer. THIS IS A SERIOUS ISSUE WHIRLPOOL/MAYTAG. OWN UP!!! My advertisement begins today!!!

We bought this Maytag washer 3 mo. ago and now need work done on it. We were told that they could not find anyone willing to come work in this area. We live in the Mississippi Delta, 30 miles so. of Greenville, 50 miles no. of Vicksburg or 90 miles from Jackson. So I guess the Maytag repairman is not just lonely anymore, he doesnt exist.

Do not buy a Maytag Washer. I had a Maytag for 25 yrs with only 1 repair in its 23rd yr. When it finally retired at age 25, we replaced it with another Maytag assuming it would also last long. No chance. We had only 2 good yrs. Now, at 2 yrs old, it is so so loud during the spin cycle that it sounds like an airplane (757) is flying overhead at 50 ft above the roof... No way can we possibly use the washer if anyone in the house is sleeping. Repairs cost more than the initial price of the washer. Please do yourself a huge favor and buy another brand. There are too many complaints about Maytag to even consider purchasing one. Not worth the aggravation!!

I purchased a top load Maytag washer the spring of 2019. My clothes come out partially dry, with a film/residue, and debris left on them. I was told that they use considerably less water; however there is not sufficient water to wash away small amounts of anything left on clothes. I have contacted Maytag 3 different times. Each time my concerns have been dismissed. The only solid advice they gave me was to use less soap, which hasnt changed anything. They also told me to clean my clothes before I put them in the washer (we have no children at home; Im not talking about really dirty loads). They told me there was nothing they could do, and I was just stuck with the washer. I am completely dissatisfied with this product and the Maytag service. I would not recommend their washer or their service. The dryer works just fine.

Bought a Maytag dishwasher early July. Worked great for 3 months. Drain pump went out. Called customer service, 30 minutes to get a person. 1 week to get a service tech here. Even though we told them pump was out. Sent with no repair parts. So has to come back at our inconvenience, company policy, not service tech fault. Tried to complain on live chat. 30 minutes for them to get with me. Still no satisfaction. Would not recommend the product for the company itself. Sadly thought we upgraded.

I bought this Maytag French door model MFF2258VEW2 in 2010. Within the first year, it was freezing my vegetables. They sent someone out to fix it. Thank goodness it was under warranty. The man laid the bill down and it was over $800 to fix it. Six months later, it froze up. I called and they said they would send someone out, but I would have to pay for it. Im on disability and cant pay that kind of money. I got someone to come out and fix it. Well, guess what? It has started freezing my vegetables again. This is the third time this thing has gone bad. What do these people think they are doing putting things out like this? I had a Maytag for 30 years and never had any problem with it. So I saved and saved to get me a new one but I will never buy another Maytag. The company should have to replace all the refrigerators that are like this one.

I purchased the Maytag Atlantis Washer and dryer in 2004. I had the washer transmission replaced in 2006, I believe. For about a year now, the washer makes an awful screeching noise. I am not sure if its towards the end of the spin cycle or the rinse cycle, or both. In addition (and over the last 3-4 years), the dial sticks or stalls every delicate cycle. It will stop during the initial agitating and all you can hear is a ticking noise, in which you then have to manually give the dial a slight turn for the cycle to continue. It does it once on the light delicate and twice on the normal delicate. It really is a shame that Maytag is not acknowledging all of these problems as it is not feasible for most people to have a spare $1500 kicking around for a new washer and dryer every time they unfortunately buy a lemon. My previous washer and dryer were 25 years old and still working perfectly when I decided to part with them because they were fairly small. I dont even ever recall having any issues with either one of them in the whole 25 years that I had them. To see all of these complaints makes me more irritated with my appliances and my selection!

Maytag Frenchdoor MFX2570AEM3 - Was initially really excited with this brand new fridge. We have not even fully paid it off, as we bought with credit at Home Depot, and it continuously leaks water from freezer! I have taken everything out, defrosted, spent about two hours pushing hot water through the freezer drain with a turkey baster and it was only about four days before I had a puddle on my floor again! We have bought quite a few maytag products before, but after this fridge, probably never again! If there is a recall or a lawsuit pending, please, someone advise me of either.

I bought my washer in 2016 and now it’s broke again. This is the fourth time! I’ve gone everything to take care of this and it’s a lemon! I will never buy Maytag again. I want to buy USA products but four times for repairs in three years is way too many. I guess it doesn’t matter what name is on it. My last washer was a GE and was still running after 15 yrs when I bought this one. Not one repair ever made on it! I’m telling everyone to stay away from maytag.

Maytag msd2650kes refrigerator - I replaced compressor switch three times then compressor went out after only almost four years. We bought all new Maytag when remodeling. Never again will we ever be that stupid again.

My washer has always had an odor, and I clean the gasket. It gets mold on the gasket and smells horrible! Now for my dryer, it has 3 baffles inside that helps turn and fluff the clothes, and 2 of mine have broke off. And that results in clothes that look like they have been in the dryer for weeks. And I take them out as soon as they are done drying.

The Maytag Bravos washing machine (Model No. MVWB75OWQ1 Type 580) is the worst Ive ever owned. The low water level obviously is not sufficient to clean the clothes as the clothes come out still dirty. I pre-treat stains carefully and follow all of the directions and 9 times out of 10, my clothes come out with the stain still there. The clothes never smell clean. In fact, they have an odor. My t-shirts still have a smell of BO under the arms and some of my clothes still smell like my perfume. They just arent clean. I feel like we put our dirty clothes in this machine and they agitate around in a little pool of water for an hour and they come out still dirty. The machine frequently gets off balance and shuts down too. If I had the money to trash this one and go buy another one - Id do it in a heartbeat. Unfortunately - Im stuck with this piece of junk until I can afford to buy a new one. This was a total waste of money and Maytag should be ashamed that they have not recalled it and given its customers a replacement option.

I did not purchase it. This range came with my home. The electric range works great. It is thorough and I dont have to worry about the gas being on and filling the house up. Electric may not be for everyone, but it is the way to go for me. I will look for similar if not the exact same make/model if a replacement is necessary. I dont mind spending a little extra to ensure the product will last. So many products dont last nowadays and it is sad. I am not an avid cooker, actually I tend to mess up a lot of food recipes but the electric range helps me to reduce the number of problems I run across with the durability and accountability of the product. It cooks throughout the entire dish/pan and I have never had a problem with the unit working properly, just the user not working properly. Haha.

Maytag gas range model #MGR8670XS 1 - I would not recommend this range. We bought it new and when I used the self clean oven, it did not work. It took four months to get this resolved. I self cleaned again, and I had to clean the oven by hand. It did not clean very well at all. I wish I had my old oven back.

Maytag dishwasher MDB7749SBM2 - I purchased this unit from Home Depot. It worked fine when working. In less than two years the control panel had issues. Would not let you start cycle, would randomly start on its own, would light up randomly, would only let one cycle work, would not work at all, etc. I received no help from Maytag. After open up the door panel the problem is obvious. The ribbon cable from touch (control) panel to control board had black spots from corrosion. Poorly insulated or poor design. $150 for part and another $100+ for repairman. As Ive seen from several of these posts it appears to be a common problem now to Maytag, which they choose to ignore in spite of class action lawsuits. Obviously last Maytag product Ill ever buy.

This has the aqua cleaning technology, sounds real good. DOES NOT WORK! The cleaning is done by you as you nearly climb into the oven with a plastic scraper which they supply to scrape prior to the cleaning cycle. Then after you have used the distilled water in the bottom of the oven during the cleaning cycle (steam), you climb back in to wipe out the water and use something similar to a magic eraser to SCRUB the oven.Here is the real kicker....during the cleaning process, in between the glass (in the door) you develop water spots that cannot be cleaned unless you pay to have a service technician come out and tear it a part to clean it. According to Maytag THIS IS NORMAL and is proven (by their engineers without any documentation for the customers to be able to see) to be normal?? The consequence is a brand new stove will never be clean and it is the first thing you see when you come into my house. I AM EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!!!!

I have never liked the stove because it is too small (it came with the triplex) and it has porcelain like top. One burner burns to hot, the other three mediocre, there isnt enough space between the burners and the back of the stove. It doesnt cook evenly and it really does not have a low or simmering setting. You cant set a timer for simmering because it cooks too fast. The knobs are stuck and sometimes wont light when you turn them down. The oven is okay, but could be better. Wish it had self cleaning. The broiler in no existence. Food way too close to the flames. We have had this oven since we bought the triplex back in 2011.

I have been the latest victim in purchasing a Maytag Refrigerator. Something needs to be done about the defective products they are putting on the market. I received 9/7/13 (yesterday) a new Model FW: 555 Complaints and Reviews about Maytag Refrigerators bottom freezer refrigerator. After being plugged in for 3 hrs, the temp was 60 degrees.. After 8 hrs same and 24 hrs same. I lost everything because of the defect. I notified the store 3 hrs after purchasing it and because I had it delivered on a Saturday I have to wait till Monday to get this resolved. I want everyone to read before buying a Maytag product.

We purchased a Maytag dishwasher mdb7749sbm1 in 2014 and have had nothing but problems with it since it was delivered. Within a year of owning it, the top jet fell off. We had it replaced and the repairman warned us that it would probably come off again due to a faulty latching system. In the last six months one of the brackets that holds the upper shelf has broken off and the dishwasher leaks every time we use it.My last cycle leaked so bad that essentially it completely soaked the extra large bath towel we place in front of it and travelled halfway through my kitchen. Not to mention that it never washed dishes well, regardless of what cycle we use, which/how little or much detergent/rinse agent and it does not filter at all, as theres debris all over my dishes and glasses. I am now looking to replace it before like other reviewers a control panel fire occurs. Strongly recommend staying away from this brand.

I have a fairly new washer Maytag model #MHWE500VW serial #CSY0303991. I need Part # W10415587 doesnt excist for my washing machine anymore. Its been on backorder since Apr-May 2011. Maytag/GE insists that they are not responsible. As long as they can say backorder technically they are not liable for anything and dont really care that me the customer is having a problem and they Blatantly refuse to even investigate. I spoke with a GE supervisor just today and she basically told me wont help you because my appliance is out of warrenty. And she explained to my that my complaint will go into a file that no one will ever see. I searched the internet only to find hundred of other consumers are waiting for this same part. Ive called distributors & manufactuers. Same answer, backorder. My warrenty people are trying very hard to help me but again Maytag/GE refuse to help. Very dissappointed with this company. Wont be purchasing Maytag/GE products again. Wheres that guy in the commercial with nothing to do when you need him??

Maytag MFD2561 - The metal piece between our French doors is also rusting. It is a design flaw. We also have a GE French door refrigerator and that piece on it is not metal!

I purchased the Maytag 6.5 inch electric convection oven about 2 years ago. I wish I hadnt. The oven temp is way off, it cooks unevenly, the back burners hardly work, and the back burners on the stove top barely work, the knobs get stuck constantly, the self cleaning does not work, and the glass part of the door allows dust to get trapped in the glass. The range is $800+ piece of junk, best used at the scrap yard. Today, I turn my oven on, and the element underneath the oven pan caught on fire. Now its broken in half, and needs to be replaced. I look up the QR code, and come to find out the oven is actually a Whirlpool, with Maytag labels on the outside. I would have never purchased this range if I knew it was a Whirlpool. I have always had issues with Whirlpool appliances. This is a fraudulent product, and deceives the customer. Why sell it as a Maytag, when its really a Whirlpool? It should at least state that fact on the description, and salespeople should advise the customer. Now I know why its a piece of junk, because its a WHIRLPOOL!!! I will never buy a Maytag or Whirlpool product ever again. I have always stuck with Maytag appliances. Every appliance in my house is a Maytag, or are they Whirlpool?

We replaced a 20 year old Kenmore washer with this Centennial washer (MVWC360AW), and after 2 years we are looking for another washer. The machine will not complete the wash cycle, and when we called for service, the factory authorized service tech couldnt figure out what was wrong with it. After 2 service visits in a months time, I tried contacting the company directly with my story to see if they would help resolve the issue. I sent them a letter by mail as well as on their contact us link on the company website. They have not responded to me in any form. We will never purchase another Maytag product, and will tell everyone we can how terrible this machine is and how the company apparently doesnt even care.

Maytag range model mer8875ws - Glass top broke on brand new oven over most used burner then glass spider lined out from there. Wife called Maytag and they told her that it broke from the impact of something dropping on it. I guess the man was psychic because he had no picture of SO CALLED IMPACT SITE. Now they wont replace or fix range, ** Maytag. Paid 699 for range they want to charge me 900 to fix. MMOOORROOONNSS! Like ** thats how big business treats everyone now. Thats how big business treats people these days.

First of all, I had a Maytag for many years and could not have been happier. When it came time to replace, I did not even consider other brands. I have had my dryer for less than a month and the interior already looks dirty. I contacted Home Depot where I purchased it and reported the problem I was having and would like to return this model and purchase a higher end model assuming that it would not have the same problems. Home Depot said all appliances are special orders and can not be returned. I could contact Maytag and have someone come out and look at it for no charge. I contacted Maytag and they told me that they could have someone come out but if they decided it was just cosmetic, there would be nothing that could be done and I would be charged. I said, I am telling you it is cosmetic! Why would I pay someone to tell me that? The guy suggested I take a damp rag to clean it. I said think about all clothes that are being dried are damp!! I will never buy a Maytag again and will not buy any appliances from Home Depot!

I purchased the Maytag Bravos washer and dryer set one year ago, and have asked myself why ever since. The oversized laundry tub is what attracted me to the model, but it sure doesnt deliver for the money it cost. On normal settings, it doesnt use enough water for all the clothes to even get wet. After the load was complete, there were areas of my clothes bone dry, and obviously still dirty. I soon learned that the only way the washer uses enough water to get all the clothes wet and clean, was to set the machine on the bulky setting. This is the only setting I use now, but all of my clothes winds up twisted together, sometimes in one big ball. As for efficiency, that statement folks is a joke! Because I use the bulky setting, it uses much more water than a traditional washer ever did, and when the load is off balanced, it will go through another rinse cycle to try to even it out. This machine uses far more water and electricity than my old school set! I suppose if you dont get your clothes dirty, you may not need to use the bulky setting, but thats the only way I can wash my laundry with this machine. The old style set I had before this was Maytag also, and lasted about 20 years. I was more than happy to purchase Maytag again, but this set has been nothing but a disappointment. I dont plan to buy another energy efficient machine again, nor would I recommend this product to anyone!

I purchased an LG (white) washer last year, but my husband upgraded all appliances to stainless, including Maytag washer and dryer. The washer does not fill with enough water to cover the clothes. It barely agitates them to wash. Some clothes even come out with dry spots on them at times! They smell and are still dirty when done. I have tried every setting hoping that was the issue. Normal, power wash, none work any better! Had to resort to the soak function which does not add fabric softener or drain the water completely. Thankfully I didnt sell or get rid of the LG. Putting the LG back in asap. Nevermind the mixed color finishes of white and stainless between the washer and dryer. Clean clothes most important! Piece of garbage and complete rip off!

I have a Maytag fridge/freezer model number MFF2557 10403089ER. The freezer keeps going out. The repairman replaced the computer board called a jazz board stating that the bulbs in the fridge part are too close to the board and the heat can cause the board to short out. He suggested switching bulbs to 25 watts which cannot be found for fridges. The freezer continues to go out and sometimes restarts itself or by flipping the breaker switch, brings it back. In the meantime, food is ruined. Yesterday, he put a new starter relay on the compressor stating that this series of fridge/ freezer has had a problem with the compressor and Maytag will not take responsibility for this. There is no recall at this time and we are waiting to see if this corrects the problem or if the freezer will continue to go out. Thank you for your help in this matter.

My over-stove microwave is approximately 18 months old. Suddenly, the fan came on and will not turn off. I had to unplug the microwave. This appliance is out of warranty but certainly should last longer than 18 months. I feel that Maytag should certainly be called to task for selling and promoting such a shoddy, unreliable product.

We bought a New Condo, all New Maytag appliances with a 10 yr. warranty, the microwave is a built-in model. I cant believe weve only been here a year and eight months and it just stop working. We use it for heating and short timed cooking like 1 to 2 minutes. I would think a name brand product would last a lot longer than this. I had an off brand microwave for five years before the condo. A couple of times the microwave door didnt close, I thought I forgot to close it. But after reading your reviews I now realize its one of the defects of the product. I called the Maytag company, they informed me that if a serviceman come out to fix it, it will cost me $180 until they can determine if the cause is something covered by their warranty??? The Home Builders bought Maytag junk and passed us the cost, now Maytag wants me to pay to see if their junk can be fixed??? Wow!!! This is unbelievable!

I purchased my Maytag Bravos XL MCT because It could wash King size comforters/bed linen. I needed a machine that was large capacity. Also it was an HE washer that cut my water usage down quite a bit and reduced my water cost. Also this machine did a great job of cleaning my clothes and household items. The features were good. Variety of load type water temp if it was delicate, bedding, denim and more. I have had it for 5 years and so far no problems. It came with a 10 year warranty.

Maytag Gemini - This is a double oven which I purchased in 2010. 2 days ago Apr 13, 2015, the outside glass in the bottom oven simply exploded. The oven was in use at the time. It blew the side brackets off and glass was spread into my dining room as well as a mess in the kitchen. Maytag was supposed to send repairman today. Have waited all day and finally called repair company. They knew nothing of the repair and supposedly will contact Maytag and call me tomorrow. We will see. In the meantime has anyone else had this problem?

Update 3/7/2018. I have been without a working microwave since 1/23/2018. Technician sent from Maytag came out to repair it and said he needed to order a new board and door switches. These items were installed on 2/26/2018 but did not solve the issue. The technician said the microwave needed to be re-wired completely and would schedule for the microwave to be removed and brought to shop where it would be repaired. After I called Maytag and explained the situation they told me they would replace the microwave (with the same model.) I called today to get an update on when the new microwave would be installed and they said not for another 14-21 days!!! After expressing my displeasure at the whole situation I was told by the Maytag representative that I could choose any new microwave model (under $399) from the lines of Maytag, Whirlpool, Armana, or Kitchen Aid. It would take about 14 days for delivery and they would schedule the installation at no additional cost to me. So now I am researching microwaves again!!! Ill update this review once the new microwave is installed.

Maytag Bravos Quite Series 300 - We purchased this washer from Lowes on 9-20-11. Weve had trouble with the spin cycle on this machine since we purchased and in December 2014 the washer stopped working and showed the symbol F:51-no part, to be found waited a month for the part; repair fixed and the machine stopped working in FEBRUARY AGAIN same part-still not fixed. Ive always purchased a Maytag but the new washer Im in the market for will not be a Maytag.

Its frustrating the way the bottom of the dishwasher has curves making wasted space. Second, the tracks for the trays are such that often the tray comes off the track and makes it difficult to get back on without unloading dirty dishes to do so. Finally, I really dont get the lighting system for dishwashing on the outside of the machine.

I have a Maytag Neptune (model number MAH5500BWW and serial number 85981207AE). On February 22, 2012, the washer started smoking and a burn smell was apparent. Fire department was called. They pinpointed issue to the washer. On February 23, 2012, I spoke with Brenda from the Safety Department. She prioritized a diagnosis from a local certified technician. Purchased the Maytag MMV405DS Microwave and matching refrigerator from Best Buy in 2016, they were exactly what we had been looking for. Little did we know of the problems we would have with the microwave. At the one year mark the infamous open/close door problem begin. Luckily we were still within the warranty period since it was repaired at no charge. However six month later the problem re-occurred, we are now out of warranty and have little recourse. Maytag should have by now have come up with a fix. I find it hard to believe they are still manufacturing this microwave and selling this product knowing it will fail. We have little choice but to replace it with another brand which will not match. Suggest anyone looking for appliances stay away from Maytag.

I had a tub failure on my washer Whirlpool Duet, which I bought brand new and it lasted 12 years with no problems. The dryer is still in use at my sons house. However, this failure lead me on a search for a set to replace the duet. I did some research and found the Maytag 6.2 Cu. Ft top loader and huge Dryer to match. The set was not cheap and it did have high marks for a great washer. So, I bought them both and had them delivered on 12/30/16. I have read all the owners manual and watched YouTube videos to see how to use this machine with all its pretty lights and sounds. I will concede that the machines look great, very impressive in my laundry room. I would bet it would even be a plus when I go to sell the house.THAT is all the nice stuff I can say. The machine does not clean clothes and I have done all the settings. I have changed laundry detergents, and even tried to add a little more water with a bucket at the start of the wash. (Saw that one on YouTube.) REALLY. That did not work, nor should I have to do that to get it to clean well. The answer seems to be, set the machine on FULL tub of water. So, I tried that for a couple of times and found that the clothes just float around and since they do not touch the Wear Plate they dont get clean. My wife (yes, I am a man that does most of the laundry) said she hates the washer and I was an idiot for buying this expensive piece of metal that does nothing but take up space and leaves spots on your clothes. Have you heard the term Happy Wife-Happy Life. Well not so much for me now.Spending money even $2,500.00 on a washer and dryer seems a little crazy. But I had the extra money and I have always wanted a MAYTAG. These guys know how to make a washer. Boy was I wrong, this machine must be an embarrassment to Maytag. I know I am really shocked that you would sell this machine as top of the line. I am not sure what Maytag will do, but I thought I would give you a chance to make this right. All of my brand new white wash cloths have black stains on them. They look like mechanics use them to check the oil. And, my white denim capri pants have weird stains on them. This washing machine is a joke. It may be water efficient, but sacrifices cleanliness and stain removal. Maytag should recall this ** Queen.

I have a two year old version of this dishwasher (MDB894995BB3) and now the start and cancel light on the control panel stopped working. I now see that this is a common theme with this model and I feel it is their obligation to repair these units with permanent fix and not the same thing that will fail again. I have 3 different Maytag appliances all bought 2 years ago from Home Depot and they are all broken. I will never buy a Maytag product again. I might replace this dishwasher as I know it will fail again. 2 years on a dishwasher is a complete failure. Unreliable Junk. Do not buy Maytag.

I owned my double oven Maytag Gemini for 14 months and I was absolutely satisfied with it. I was running a cleaning mode on the bottom oven and the lock froze. I have tried everything with it to unfreeze it, including the suggestions offered on the internet. I havent been able to do it on my own and I cannot afford to hire a repairman. I called the help line offered by Maytag (after waiting for 32 minutes), the representative actually laughed at me when he found out it was past the 12-month warranty. Though this laugh may be unusual, I feel it is very indicative of the way Maytag handles any problems; Maytag doesnt stand behind their items, they are now built shoddily and they could really care less about retaining their customer base.

This is a Maytag Neptune MAH8700AWW. This machine has been repaired a couple of times already and it has a will of its own. When it goes into that fast spin cycle that will kicks in and it starts moving. I wonder if someday its going to attack me. So, last Friday night we put a load in and it went into that fast spin cycle. It was making a noise like an elephant in labor so I looked in the laundry room.... Clouds of smoke were billowing out of the top of the machine. Our house will filling up with washing machine smoke! My husband stopped it, but I think it was a gnats hair close to bursting into flames. He looked into the front of the machine when the smoke dissipated and the entire gasket was in shreds. No more Maytag. Never. Im done.

I purchased a Maytag gas dryer in November 2011. This is January 2012. I have got to use mine maybe 2 weeks altogether since I had it. It is to be repaired for the 4th time tomorrow. In the meantime, I have to go to the laundry mat to dry clothes, Maytag refuses to do anything about this. They say they are helping me by getting it repaired each time it breaks down. I want a new dryer. The retailer I bought it from will not stand behind this product either. You see these commercials on TV where the Maytag guy is sitting back and waiting on a call. Thats a bunch of ***! I have never purchased a product from anyone that they would not stand behind it especially for the 4th time in two months. I am writing for your assistance with an ongoing problem that I am having with my Maytag Series 2000 front-loading clothes washing machine. I am, frankly, astonished and frustrated beyond any means of coping with the response I have gotten from Maytag about the lemon washing machine that was sold to me. As I have never before had any sort of reason to complain about any major appliance purchase (nor about any car or house purchase), I’m not yet sure of what avenues are available to me. It seems prudent to inquire of your office before getting a private attorney to help me with this. The following is my situation:First of all, I am asking for a replacement washing machine. I am clearly saddled with a lemon.On or around December 2010, we purchased the Maytag Series 2000 washing machine from Cedar Appliance of Medford, MA. Within the first several months, the washer started ripping, shredding, and putting holes in our clothes. This did not happen during every wash cycle, just sometimes. At the time, we didn’t know if it was the washer or the (also new) Maytag dryer that was causing it. After living with this for some time, we decided to call Cedar Appliance for service. Cedar came out several times to look at the machines and they couldn’t tell what machine was causing the holes. Eventually, I started examining every article coming out of the washer to determine which machine was causing the problem. Over time and many visits later, Cedar Appliance referred us to L.A.R. Service of Wakefield MA, which they called Maytag service.L.A.R. Service came out and looked at it. They said that we were missing a part. They ordered the part and installed it and said everything should be fine. They also sold us an extended service contract. I am still having the exact same problem with the machine. Today I called L.A.R. and they told me that I had to call Cedar to get an authorization for service. I called Cedar and they told me to call Maytag. I called Maytag and after spending an inordinate amount of time recalling the details, the service representative told me that I could pay up front for an extended warranty and they would send someone out. I asked for a supervisor. I got Kitty. Kitty told me that Maytag would not replace my machine, which is clearly a lemon because I hadn’t yet had enough service done on it. I explained that I have spent hours calling for service, scheduling service, waiting for service, supervising service, and paying for service. She explained that on only one service call did they install new parts, so I needed more service. So, I should have demanded new parts on each of these service calls so that I would have earned some credibility for my lemon machine?The fact is that my family and I have lost hundreds of dollars on torn and ruined clothing caused by a new washing machine! After the boot was installed, or replaced (I’m not sure exactly what was done), we are experiencing the exact same problem. When the L.A.R. Service people left last time, they told me the problem was solved. It wasn’t. This is not normal. This is a lemon machine.Its one thing to have clothes destroyed, but what is extra frustrating is that I never know when the machine is going to destroy an article of clothing. This past Friday, we were preparing to go out of town for our daughter’s basketball tournament. I took the clothes out of the washer on Friday evening to discover that one of the blue uniforms was destroyed. There was no time to replace the uniform and my daughter was out of luck. This means that I cannot put an article of clothing into the washer that I absolutely have to have. I can’t live this way. This is a relatively new washer that should last 20 years. Right now, I can’t wash any important article of clothing. I’ve been told before that it was all set. Kitty has L.A.R. coming again this Wednesday to repair the machine. What am I supposed to do when it’s repaired? Put a uniform jersey in it? This is a very brief description of the experience I have had over the past 1.5 years with this new machine. The hours, money, disappointment, and utter frustration is more than I can describe in an email. I have attached three photos of recently destroyed items. Unfortunately, I threw away tens of items several months ago when L.A.R. fixed it.Is this unbelievable? Or are my expectations too high? Is this really what Maytag/Whirlpool has in mind for customer service? Is this really what they mean by standing behind their products? Why wouldn’t or why shouldn’t Maytag replace this machine? How much more time, money, and tears is a customer expected to spend and endure? How do I regain peace of mind and quality of running a household? Am I supposed to toss this machine and buy a new one? Believe me, that’s what I will have to do if I can’t get relief on this problem. I am not complaining at all about my dealer. I am complaining that I also am like the many others with the French door fridge/freezer. The bottom of the freezer freezes up and water pours all over the floor. I thought that Maytag was a good appliance, but also had problems with the pump and drain on my washer. Both of these are only 2 1/2 years old.

Purchased a Bravo set 5 years ago. Paid $730. For the washer. 4 repairs in 5 years. It is now has a bearing out and that will cost $450. MAYTAG used to be the best... buyer beware!

The refrigerator is barely over two years old and the bottom pan fills with water, freezes and leaks out onto floor. Is a very common problem with these refrigerators and Maytag is happy to pay for the new part to fix it, but will not pay for any person to fix it. They have known this is a problem for a while, but will do nothing to fix it. They clearly do not stand behind their product with a known ongoing problem. The Maytag repairman is no longer not busy. Will never buy a Maytag appliance again! Will take the new part and fix it ourselves.

Well I must say I concur with all previous posts. I just replaced my Bravos with a Samsung after my jet plane of a washer died. My repair guy said it was not worth it to fix it. I had already replaced the shocks two years ago but I did have mine for 8 years. I have had the same problems as previous posts - rust, smell, holes, broken, too expensive! Hello to Samsung!!

We got Maytag 2000 series front load washer just over a year ago. The bearings in the drum are already worn out. I will never buy a Maytag again.

Ive had my Maytag (above range model) for about 4 months. The same as everyone else with open/close door error. Faulty door switch. When the interior light doesnt come on, I know I will get the error. You would think Maytag would have already repaired or replaced this door switch part.

Have not had either inspected, but last night the dryer started to rumble and then caught on fire... Fireman suspected bearing bad and caused a spark igniting dryer; washer has started making a shrill loud noise on the spin cycle.

Do not buy one. Maytag is unresponsive to repairs or parts that are needed. They are not even manufacturing the part that breaks. If you are lucky, you will find out there is someone who will fix the defective computer board... But Maytag will not tell you. We were without fridge for 4 months... They did not care.

Fire Danger. We had a power outage and my Maytag gas range/double oven (Model: MGR6875ADS) was dead after the power came back on. We figured it was the control board and braced for the expense to replace it. A few days later, I plugged the oven back in just to see if it would work and it did! The control panel came back on and we were up and running. The good news end there. On Christmas Eve, we came home to a house full of smoke with fire alarms buzzing. A butcher block style cutting board that was on top of the range with Santas cookies on it was on fire. Twenty more minutes and the house would have been gone.

1st service call about 2 years after we got it. Put around $200 in it. Now broke down again. Service tech quoted $475.00 to fix it. So it was basically totaled after around 6 years. Nightmare kept getting LD (long drain) code. After hours of research I finally called service. Would not drain so I had to wring out a whole load of laundry and bail out the water by hand. Miserable experience!

I bought a Maytag Bravos washer and dryer two years ago. A week after the one year warranty was up, my dryer broke. That was in October. It took me until February to get it fixed, but within two months it broke again. It has taken me until now to get it fixed again and they found the same problem; the thermal fuse blew. Both times it has cost me over $100 to get fixed, but I still cant use every part of the top panel; I can only use timed dry cycle. I’m expecting the dryer to go again. The repair man had to re-glue the seal that went around the drum. The vents were all clean and were blowing fine, so we’re not sure why this keeps happening. Our family have always owned Maytags and they have always lasted for 20+ years. I am so disappointed with Maytag at this point and will never buy another again. Go back to the old days, Maytag! By the way, has anyone noticed they dont run the Maytag commercials anymore, because I have!

My dishwasher is 9.5 months old. The computer board needs to be replaced and they cannot find the part. It’s been 2 1/2 weeks since I called in the repair which is under warranty. I was told they have 10 business days to search the country. Really search the country. Does anyone know what will happen if they cannot find the parts I need?

Bought Maytag Dishwasher in 2/2012. 10/2015 dishwasher stopped working. My husband tried to replace the motherboard, however, dishwasher completely done. Called Maytag and they said they would send a repair company at their expense, however, repair service called to verify appointment and told us how much it would cost us! Maytag had no intention of paying the bill even after they said they would. Called Maytag back and said the other customer service person was incorrect. Now, buying another dishwasher only after 3.5 years.

Purchased the Maytag Aqualift self-cleaning oven and this feature doesnt work at all. I would have never have made this purchase if I knew the oven would not self clean. This technology with the water in the bottom to self clean is pathetic! I thought maybe it wasnt working and called for a repair since it was under warranty. The service man told me not to expect it to clean like a regular self-cleaning oven. But I complained that it did nothing at all! So now I have a self-cleaning oven that I have to clean myself!

I purchased a Maytag dryer several years ago, not a fancy one but just a plain simple dryer (model number MDE2706AYW). Thank goodness from the other complaints I have read I didn’t buy one that is computer controlled. The heating element has burned out twice, main thermostat and limit thermostat has burned out, and if you look close, it seems the wires are trying to melt or at least the insulation. Well, the insulation is melting. And the venting system is cleaned regularly so they can’t blame that. The last dryer I had lasted well over ten years with zero problems. I should have just fixed it. I’m sure I wouldn’t have spent as much money on repairs as I have with this one. You remember that lazy Maytag repairman that was on TV for so many years, you know why you don’t see him any longer? He is at my house repairing my ** dryer! You never, never hear me say this but the next dryer I buy will be made overseas. My last appliance purchase with any of these name brands on them: Maytag, Jenn-Air, Amana, Admiral, Crosley, Magic Chef, Performa by Maytag, and Norge.

We bought a Maytag dishwasher March 2012 and the unit wouldnt turn on October 2013 - 6 months after the warranty ended. We called their service department and they told us to unplug the dishwasher or turn off the circuit breaker. We did so and the unit still would not turn on. We called a repairman who advised us that the touch pad was not working. The cost with parts and labor would be close to $300 which was more than half the original price. We repaired it and I sent all the papers with a letter to the consumer department and today I got a call advising us that they would not do anything. Do you think I have any further recourse? If not, I will never buy a Maytag product again and will advise anyone within a listening area as to how we were treated.

In May of 2009, my husband and I bought a new Maytag refrigerator side-by-side, model MSD-2572VEW. The day we bought it, pieces started breaking. The shelves started cracking, and now they are completely falling apart. There are also cracks in the inside walls of the refrigerator. Every single door shelf, inside shelf and wall is falling apart. I have fixed the ice-maker myself several times. I am now going to design and build some new shelves so that we can get as much use out if it as possible before it is unusable. I am angry that a company can make such a horrible product and not have to take responsibility. If my employer ever provided a client anything but the best, we would all be out a job.

I have a 26 cu. ft. side by side Model MZD2665HES, like most folks in my neighborhood (spec homes). The icemaker died and service was called. They looked at solenoid, and replaced the ice maker assembly as a wag that it was the problem.. still no ice, but the water was still able to be called. I replaced filter- still water only, no ice. Little did we know it was the filler tube blocked with ice, and the service man didnt once suggest turning off the water service. SO, every time water was called to either make ice or to fill a cup with, it put intense pressure on the point of assembly where the water line comes into the fridge (water inlet tube). A pin hole developed in the little plastic bit (water inlet tube plate) and every time the water was called to ice, guess what happened - it shot right out the back on drywall.Almost $20,000 dollars worth of damage to wood floor (warped), drywall (jello), and flooring (carpet) ensued. Mold was all over and had to be contained and treated for days to be fixed. Im still duking it out with service repairman and insurance companies. My advise: If you have this fridge or anything like it and the ice maker stops working, IMMEDIATELY shut down the water supply, turn the fridge off and check the filler tube in the back for ice blockage. Probably a good idea to pull the fridge forward once in a while and check the back for water also.

I have a Maytag washing machine (MDBTT53AWW1). The total cost is $524 for machine plus installation. And the cost of yearly repair on this machine is $300.I purchased this machine a year and 10 months ago in January 2010. A few months ago, the control panel started to only light up partially but the washing machine continued to run. A few days ago, when i tried to turn on the machine, it would not work--the control panel was no longer lighting up. I called a repair man recommended by Lowes, and after explaining the problem over the phone, we scheduled a time for him to come (ten days later was his first available opening!).Ten days later with a broken washing machine and doing all the washing by hand, the repair man came late. When I made the appointment, I was told he would come anytime from 8 to 11 a.m., and of course, he did not show up until almost 1:00 pm. When he finally arrived, all he did was look at the model and determined instantly that the reason our control panel was no longer working was due to a faulty design. This dishwasher allows the steam to escape through a small vent placed to the left of the control panel. The steam inevitably causes a short circuit, meaning that this will be a reoccurring problem every year.He did not dismantle anything and was in my home for no more than 5 minutes. I was told the cost of a new control panel would be $141 plus his labor fee of $137. So all in all, if you purchase a Maytag appliance, the initial cost is irrelevant. If you purchase a Maytag appliance, you will spend almost $300 yearly to maintain it--basically the cost of a brand-new washing machine.Something needs to be done; this is unacceptable. The least Maytag could do is provide all of us, fools who believed in their product and thought that they were of quality, with a free10-year warranty for this faulty machine which is pre-determined to break down every year as a result of their poor design planning.Cost aside, what kind of world are we living in that major appliances are made to last just one year and then are to be thrown in the dump? There is no way I will pay $300 for the next ten years to maintain a product that is made to break. That is wasteful and disastrous for the environment. Shame on you, Maytag. You will be filling landfills around the country with your terrible products, and the world will be a worse place for it.

I live alone and bought this unit for long life. After a few short not-used-much years, my washer sounded like a 747 was landing in my laundry room. I am a maintenance person, so I did a bit of troubleshooting and narrowed it down to the bearings installed in plastic on the outer tub that failed. My cost was $600.00 to $750.00, parts alone. It still worked, just very noisy on high spin.I emailed Maytag (now Whirlpool) and was phoned by Lee Ann. I told her I had all Maytag appliances in my home and was laid off and that if after the use this washer has had and it will cost this much if I do the work, I was not impressed with this company. She apologized and told me she will issue me an extended warranty for $299.00 that will cover it. I told her that without a job, I cannot make a decision so fast. She gave me the next business day to decide. I concluded it was cheaper than the part, so I called her back. I was scheduled for a repair, and the man opened the front and looked at it and said it was an outer tub bearing. He went to his laptop in his truck and returned to tell me that they would not authorize that expense and that all they would authorize was $350.00. He put the front of the washer on, then as if he forgot something, took it back off and reached way in the back and did something. Then, he reinstalled the front. I was livid! They charged me $299.00 for a warranty and would not repair! So I called back and was hung up on. Next, I called my credit card and disputed the charge. I tried to use the washer, and it made funny sounds and then filled up my home with smoke and stopped working. I called Maytag again, and he denied the repairman would tell me how much they would authorize to repair it and told me good news that they would issue a $174.00 check. I gave $299.00, and a few days later, they give me $174.00? This is why Whirlpool is destined to fail. I will never buy again, and I will wash in my laundry tub first! This is exactly why imports will rule! So Whirlpool, you got me for the last time!

I purchased this washer because it has a large, stainless steel drum, and a deep wash setting. My laundry comes out very clean, and I do not need to run it through an extra rinse cycle. The sensor determines what size load I put in, so I am not wasting water on small loads. Overall, I am very happy with my washer. I purchased it about six months ago.

I would highly recommend you do some research on the Maytag bravos XL machines and dryer.This thing is about as good as a piece of paperweight thrown in the fire for no good of nothing. Warranty ran out but it has a 10 year warranty so I don’t understand, bought one year ago been broke down three times in that time. Speed queen all the way.

We purchased the Bravos XL in May 2017.. It quit working on April 30, 2019. Maytag sent me a form letter that basically said I was out of luck.. that sometimes things go wrong with a product or manufacturing. The fact that it wasnt 2 years old yet meant nothing to them. I would like to join or start a class action. This washer should not be sold.

BUYER BEWARE!!! We purchased a Maytag Dishwasher mdbh979sab1 on November 23, 2012. It is now July 31, 2014. One year and a half and the control panel is not working. Ive looked at estimates online of $450.00 for parts and labor. Customer service is no help at all, nothing they can do. She actually recommended KitchenAid for our next appliance. Maytag has become a terrible brand. We will never buy from them again. By the way, they also made our Jenn Air Oven, which turned itself on a number of times while we were away. 350 degrees. That was a total loss as well. We are filling up landfills with our Maytag/Whirlpool appliances and you will too.

I purchased a Maytag Centennial MVWC360AW washing machine on July 11, 2013 at The Home Depot. I assumed that I was getting a good product based on my Moms old Maytag washer. This machine is the farthest thing from quality that I have ever experienced. My Mom would roll over in her grave if she knew how CHEAP Whirlpool has built---what is supposed to be a---Maytag! The machine worked fairly well, at first. Even though I didnt like the low water arrangement. I like clothes to be fully immersed in water! That went on for 2 years and 5 months, until NOW the led light goes to Rinse, but it wont agitate. Then the led light goes toSpin, but it wont spin! I called a local appliance repairman and he told me that the control is bad. They cost about $250.00. Its not worth repairing!! So, Im stuck with this piece of junk! Shame on Maytag/Whirlpool for building a PIECE OF JUNK!

We purchased a Maytag Commercial Technology washer from Lowes. After having the washer for only 3 months, the drum failed, an entire load of clothes was turned black with oil, and my washer was out of service for months. The drum had to be replaced. They did not offer me a replacement. I was just without a washer. They couldnt get the parts because of supply issues created by Covid. I was offered a 2-year additional warranty which should have carried me through 2022. Last week, I called to use the warranty - service was scheduled (and I was told that I did indeed have a warranty by the service team.) I was then told by the repair team that I was out of warranty. Maytags notes show I was only offered a 1 year additional warranty. I talked with Management at Maytag/Whirlpool - they will do nothing for me. Shame on me for not getting that in writing. Shame on Whirlpool/Maytag for lying to me. The washer has been a nightmare! Dont buy one.

I purchased this washer approx. 2 years ago. It will not spin. Called 3 repair men, only one would look at it. The cost to repair is more buying a new one. I am buying another washer and it will not be a Maytag. Seems from other post live on this washer is 2 years. My son has one just like it, told him of the problems. He is thinking of selling and getting another one before his quits. There are 5 in his family.

I have the washer. It has a bad sound when changing gears like grinding and there is no way it is putting enough water in it to wash clothes. It is a very loud and noisy washer, serial c42831812.

Our problem started when the control lock button locked itself on. Called Maytag and told it wasnt covered by warranty but they did walk us through resetting the power and it fixed the problem until we ran the next load. Now when you try and set it, the rinse only light comes on. Bought the Maytag because I always believed them to be dependable - wrong!! I had a basic model Whirlpool running for a family of 5 for 25 years prior to this Maytag without ever having to call a repair person. Maytag wont deal with the issue so I would recommend to anyone else having any issues with unreliable appliances to do what I am doing - boycotting Maytag!!

Would need 3rd panel for 8-year dishwasher - Either no lights come on the panel or Load done lights, like now. It has happened so many times over the years from about a year after spending a lot of money on a Quality unit. Many times I was able to operate it after turning the breaker off/on or leaving it to sit for a week or so, multiple times! Also, the rubber on the racks did not do so great - peeled and rusty. I did apply rubber repair multiple times, then got new racks at my expense. Several other brands bought over the years lasted 10+ years with no repairs!

So I get the matching set washer and dryer when I moved into my new house. I thought I was getting a nice set. I paid around $1600 for them with the sale they had going on. From day one the washer wouldnt get a full size comforter wet on the bulky cycle or heavy duty cycle. I even tried the extra rinse cycle on both as well. I would have stop it mid wash and rotate the comforter. Clothes wouldnt settle sometimes and would leave the top dry and bottom soaking wet. In the first year the lid latch started going bad. So sometimes you would go back to realize the load hadnt even started. Clothes dont get clean no matter what setting you use. It is the worst purchase Ive ever made. The dryer was ok until its almost second year. It just stopped drying it seemed. I cleaned EVERYTHING! No effect. It takes 3 full cycles at minimum to dry clothes. I cant understand why these machines arent pulled from the market or recalled because they are junk.

Maytag washer MVWC565FW - Clothes do not wash. They just get pushed around and the soap scum is left on the clothes even with the water at the highest level. I bought the washer override lid switch at a appliance parts store just to observe the washer cycles. The washer did not wash the clothes. I took the washer back. I like Maytag products but this washer has to be engineered.

Maytag has really gone downhill. Had trouble with a factory defect in a new French door Maytag refrigerator within a few months (had it returned) and now the Maytag Centennial EcoConserve Top Load Washer no longer spins after only just barely 2 years of use... I will NEVER buy Maytag again. That is a promise. I will put more money and buy more expensive products from your rivals if it means avoiding Maytag products. That is my advice to anyone reading this review. The washer was used for MAYBE 10 loads of laundry per month... Yes, just for two people who have desk jobs so It was never stressed out. Used HE laundry detergent. Quality is a thing of the past for this company. Your reputation is in the doghouse.

Just purchased a Maytag French Door Refrigerator and am I sorry I did! Very noisy and runs continuously. Maytag says it is because it has high-efficiency compressor and fans? How is running continuously efficient? The continuous noise actually keeps me awake at night. Not sure what to do as I have spent $1700. :(

HORRIBLE. Dont pay more for substandard machines. Had a Maytag washer and dryer delivered on March 27th 2018 and it has been a nightmare to get it to start up. Now I have clothes stuck in there. I called Home Depot, you should never buy any appliances from them, they wash their hands of all responsibility once you sign for it. Called Maytag. On hold for almost 10 minutes, they only have 2 certified repairmen in the area 0f 600,000 people. Will be 5 days until they come to look at it. I told them I wanted to return it for a GE or something else. They said I had to contact Home Depot yet Home Depot told me it was Maytags problem. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! MAYTAG IS NOW AN INFERIOR PRODUCT WITH EXTREMELY INFERIOR SERVICE.

Bought a Maytag microwave model MMV4205DS and I too have had an issue with open/close door display. Just like other reviews Ive read it started out once in a while for the first year then began happening more often til it stopped working by the second year. I also read someone asking why there isnt a class action lawsuit? Good question. Way too many bad reviews on same issue. If I knew how and if we could start one then I would. Thought we could trust a company thats been around for so many years. Wish we had check into it more and I have learned from other products to do just that from now on. Have a backup microwave by GE from WalMart weve had for 10 yrs still working.

I have a Maytag washer and dryer. The washer is a top loader with a metal drum. You can hardly hear the washer while it is running, and I have had no problems whatsoever in the past six years of ownership.

I bought this washer from Home Depot and was told I could load large comforters and even sleeping bags in it because there was no center agitator. There NEVER seems to be enough water to wash and rinse clothes completely. The water saver feature cannot be used as I have to use extra rinse cycle EVERY load to rinse soap out of clothes or I get white residue spots. I have MANY MANY shirts that have small tears in them I believe caused by this washer. I have monitored shirts I put in the washer and again today lost another high quality fabric T shirt. I have saved all of the shirts in hopes that one day there will be a definitive report that this washer design stresses clothes and damages them. I am going to purchase a new washer and it will not be a model like this.

We’ve had our Maytag washing machine for 29 years, and it’s still going strong! We’ve only had it repaired once in all those years. It’s a top loading washing machine. It has a suds saver, and a gentle cycle, too.The agitator’s in the middle of the barrel. Although it’s an old machine & not as energy efficient as the new ones are, we’re planning to keep this one for a while. Too bad newer machines are expensive and aren’t built to last!

I purchased a product less than one year ago. The clothes are getting snagged in seam on interior of the front panel. I went back to the store and felt the same gap in the seam on the panel on a floor model, so I know it is not just my machine. I called Maytag service and a representative acknowledged the problem but also said that if there is no fix for it, I would be charged for a service call even if no part was replaced- quite a contradictory statement. She said she doubles as the Complaint Department. If this is a manufacturing defect, it should be replaced. The front panel should be recalled.

My dog had to be on a special diet to recover from a stomach disorder. I placed 1/3 cup of dog food plus chicken broth and baby food in a bowl. I intended to heat it for seconds. Minutes later, my dog was whining and sneezing. I immediately returned to the kitchen to find the food and bowl were completely charred. The biggest problem however was from the plastic splash guard that melted down. Smoke filled my home. I had to call the fire department. I was coughing and had difficulty breathing. The smell was horrible!The insurance company and I have had thousands of money in restoration cost due to the damage. I was out of my house for weeks and got very sick due to returning to the home that was not remediated properly (allergies and asthma). The microwave was an over the range Maytag MMV4205BA. I would like to find out if the fire was due to a malfunction in the microwave oven. If so, Maytag should be paying for the damages. I still need living room furniture and carpeting replaced due to smoke damage.

Two and a half years ago I bought a Maytag dishwasher thinking it was time to upgrade from my Ge. After a year and a half the control panel went out in in it! So For a little over a $100 I replaced it. Now, a year later, the panel has gone out again!!!! What is this? Every year I have to spend over a $100 to repair this thing!! I think it is time to find a new dishwasher!

We purchased a high-end stainless steel interior/exterior unit in January 15. It is now July 15 and we have not been able to get any use out of it. Day 1 washer leaked. Full day off for service. Guy told us we were using the wrong soap. It leaked on the very next wash. Called again. They forgot to check the soap dispenser. Another service/day off. Leaked again! Another service call/day off. They replace the dispenser & seal. Now washer no longer leaks but the dishes are dirty and wet even days later. Another service call. Another new part. And now we are waiting for our 5th service call. We paid for a new unit and have a refurbished cobbled together piece of junk. Maytag stubbornly refuse to replace this unit.

I bought my Bravos washer (Maytag Bravos Model # MVWX700XL2) back in 2013. Worst mistake ever, First off the clothes never came out clean, regardless of how diligent I was following the directions on how to use this particular type of machine. Secondly, it started going off balance for every load if I put more than 4 pieces of clothing in. 2 months after having it recently repaired AGAIN for not spinning and going off balance, it is doing it again. It is only 4 years old! I bought it for the Maytag reputation, but now I am doubting that reliability.

We had perfectly working 20 year old top loading white Whirlpools w/ an agitator, when we remodeled our home and wanted new pretty grey appliances and decided to donate our machines to the church. I chose Maytag top loading due to their former reputation we experienced with dishwashers, etc. It had an agitator, deep fill option, extra rinse, etc. The sales person at Home Depot stated, the agitator is because people like you still want the agitator, and the deep fill will give you the water you have been used to. Not so at all!!Clothes get wound up together, even with filling the wash tub in bundles, there is almost NO water to thoroughly clean & the rinse cycle is a joke. Clothes do NOT come out clean. Im 58 yrs. old and have been doing laundry since I was 13 so I know what I am doing. Its just my husband and I now, and he is so upset that his clothes are pilling probably from rubbing together, even though I occasionally use laundry bags. I seriously wish I would have saved my money and kept the 2 perfectly working whirlpool units I had. This has been such a disappointment. I sincerely would not buy these.P.S. Weve had service out at least 5 times in the last year, and all they do is test the washer and tell us its working as intended... The last thing that is going to happen is we are going to get refunded for a different set, even though we were educated over and over what it would do by Home Depot associates. We are heartbroken. Maytag is going to lose their former reputation on these washers a dryers :( There is simply not enough water to clean or rinse things!

I own my oven for 10 years. It still looks brand new. The bottom oven went out and they do not sell the replacement parts anymore. I think its terrible that I had to go and buy a new oven when mine still looks brand new.
