Purchased a new stainless Maytag dishwasher model # MDB4949SDMO ser # F54240259 on 10-20-2015. Installed about three weeks after purchase. This unit is terrible -- has not properly operated or cleaned our dishes since installed. First service came shortly after install. Complaint was unit leaves white film on all dishes. (Soap used is cascade which was recommended by Maytag in owners manual.) Technician installed a new water fill valve because unit wasnt getting enough water. After that unit still no good as unit became noisier and noisier and still leaving white film on all dishes. Second service call: the technician indicated entire noisy pump assembly would have to be replaced and would need to order it. Third service call: the technician arrived and replaced entire pump assembly, taking the old one away with him. The technician said it will be good now. It wasnt, but at least it was quiet. That was in January 2016. This unit still does not clean dishes properly -- continues to leave a white film on everything requiring hand scrubbing to remove. All dishes are hand rinsed with hot water before loading them in dishwasher, but actually dishes are more dirty three hours later after the cleaning cycle has finished than before they were put in. After having to buy new glasses and plastic ware because stubborn white film will not come off and looks disgusting. Tried various different soaps and rinsing products to no avail.Finally contacted service department for the fourth time and today technician arrived and found the unit to be mechanically functioning as it should and can do no more to help. Said to try a product called lemi-shine. Maybe my water is too hard also he said, even though we are on city water! This is our third dishwasher at this home and have never had hard water associated issues. All I want is my full refund for this defective product and I only get the run around from Maytag. Stay away from this machine.

We bought our washer/dryer from Home Depot and felt Maytag was a good bet. Guess again. Washer is running fine for now but after light use (about 3 loads per week) dryer failed. With no warning, I heard a loud pop about 3 min into a cycle and overheating. If I hadnt been home might have caught on fire. Good for us we live close to a coin laundry so in no rush to replace but can bet when I do it wont be Maytag and thats too bad. One of the few makers still building in the USA but thinking Samsung is looking good. This is the Maytag 2000 series btw.

My Neptune Maytag pair have been dependable. Great features. Now at 20 yrs old still kicking. Washer-front loader now has issue with fab softener going into wash correctly. Could be build up? Trying to self-fix. Very gentle with washing fine things. Hope I can keep going with them.

Purchased a new Maytag dishwasher three years ago. After having it for one year the panel box no longer worked. Had to pay $300.00 to repair. Now half way through washing the dishes again no water will go into the machine. Only the first part of the cycle. I am sure it is going to be the panel box after reading other peoples problems with this machine. I will not pay to have it fixed this time. I will have to buy a new dishwasher. I will never purchase a Maytag product ever again. I have lived in my home for 40 years and never had a problem with any appliances. This would have been my third dishwasher in 40 years and as you can see it has not even lasted 4 years. I will inform my friends to stay away from Maytag.

We purchased a Maytag Commercial Technology washer from Lowes. After having the washer for only 3 months, the drum failed, an entire load of clothes was turned black with oil, and my washer was out of service for months. The drum had to be replaced. They did not offer me a replacement. I was just without a washer. They couldnt get the parts because of supply issues created by Covid. I was offered a 2-year additional warranty which should have carried me through 2022. Last week, I called to use the warranty - service was scheduled (and I was told that I did indeed have a warranty by the service team.) I was then told by the repair team that I was out of warranty. Maytags notes show I was only offered a 1 year additional warranty. I talked with Management at Maytag/Whirlpool - they will do nothing for me. Shame on me for not getting that in writing. Shame on Whirlpool/Maytag for lying to me. The washer has been a nightmare! Dont buy one.

Water saver feature is horrible. Never enough water. Doesnt get anything clean, even if you soak it overnight. I am buying a new washer and it wont be a Maytag.

I called customer service to ask if there was some way that Maytag could assist me with repair of this like new dishwasher. When I said it was out of warranty and I had no additional warranty, I was told that a repairman could come out for $110 and diagnose the problem and that parts and labor would be extra. I explained that I had purchased Maytag because I saw commercials, for years, showing that Maytag repairmen had no work. She was very unhelpful and kept droning the same mantra, that a repairman could come out for the above charge. I was very angry and asked for the name and address of the President of Maytag so I could send a letter of complaint. I composed a letter, however: it is Thanksgiving time and I need my dishwasher so I made an appointment to have it repaired. I was told he would be out Mon. between 8 and 5. I asked for a more specific time and was told that I would get a call on Sat. with the time. Thankfully, no call came, because on Sunday, I read the reviews on this site and realized that Maytag was no longer a reliable nor a responsible company and I decided to save myself money and time and stress and just go out and buy a GE. So we will hand wash the dishes on Thanksgiving and buy a GE on Black Friday. This does not mean that I am letting Maytag off the hook. I intend to send my letter to Jeff Fettig at Maytag and also join in the class action suit. How very sad that the name Maytag has become just a name used to shill for defective and shoddy merchandise.

I have been a Maytag customer for many, many years. In November, 2014 we decided to buy a new matching pair. No problems with dryer but the washer has been a nightmare from day one. Have had at least 5 service calls (lost count). The washer constantly smells. Clothes are not clean. Have to buy and run Affresh tablets weekly. Spend more on wash machine cleaner than laundry detergent. Funny thing is Maytag/Whirlpool makes the expensive cleaning tablets. The customer service at Maytag has not been helpful from day one. They recommended I buy an $150.00 extended warranty. Stupidly I agreed and regret doing it. They still have not fix the machine under the one year original warranty. NEVER BUY A MAYTAG BRAVOS WASHER.

Im not sure that the guys who designed this unit ever actually tested it. During the wash cycle, if you have something like a fitted sheet it will actually stuff all of the surrounding wash items into the sheet until it forms one huge, round ball. Then it gets really interesting because the vicious spin cycle sends the machine marching around the laundry room and this happens even if the wash has not balled up. I now try to evenly distribute the wash within the tub prior to starting the wash cycle but it doesnt work. So now I grab a cup of coffee and newspaper and sit with my washer throughout the entire spin cycle to make sure that the hoses dont tear out of the wall.

I bought this machine about a yr ago. My clothes come out so dirty white spots all over my clothes. Now my bills are higher. Because I cannot afford another washing machine I have to bring them to the laundromat. I saved my money a long time to buy a washer and now I am without one and still paying for this piece of tin that does not work... If I ever get a chance to buy another one it will not be a Maytag. Trust me never never never again!!!!!!!!

Ive been a Maytag consumer since 1980. I bought washer, dryer, refrigerator and a smooth top oven. I replaced the washer and dryer with the Bravos series on November 22, 2011. Everything was fine until 6 weeks ago. The bearing went bad under the drum. 2 techs and 2 weeks later, at the cost of $527 and change spent on repair for a $650.00 machine, I started to look into reviews. Not! Can you say class action lawsuit! The fine gentlemen informed me 5 years ago about the Canada buyout, a local retailer that only sold Maytags. He shut his doors due to the fact that he will not work on junk! Oh well, he was right. 13 months worth of use and Im going to spend that kind of money. Now I understand why the repairman in the commercials retired! Shame on you. Love, crazy Mike.

I purchased my Bravo Maytag washer, dryer set May 31, 2015. I spent a little extra because they were suppose to be so reliable and last for MANY years. What a HUGE mistake! The washing machine is rusting. (A friend said, although Maytag’s big promotion was Made in America the inferior metal probably came from China). Buy cheap and to “hell” with the consumer! As many horrible reviews as I have read about the Bravo Series of washers and dryers I am shock there has not been a recall or better yet, a class action lawsuit! Rusting washing machine and have had to replace a part on my dryer...of course all cost came out of my pocket. I will NEVER buy anything Maytag as long as I live. I have told and will continue to tell my friends and family my nightmare Maytag story!!!

Purchased a Bravo set 5 years ago. Paid $730. For the washer. 4 repairs in 5 years. It is now has a bearing out and that will cost $450. MAYTAG used to be the best... buyer beware!

Purchased a Maytag top loader. Hand wash clothes leaves a soap residue on clothes. Called Maytag they sent service out. Service tech said (off the record) the design of the machine does not produce enough water, but reported that machine works. Called Maytag again and they said they would need to send out a Master technician. So I set up another appointment (had to take more time off from work) with the Master technician. It was the same guy that came the week before! He didnt bother coming in to look at it! Called Maytag again and they said they would only be able to schedule a service call and if they come out and there is nothing wrong with machine, I would have to pay for the service call!!! I asked for a supervisor and explained why would I do that and he said they would send out another service technician from another service company and I wouldnt have to pay for it. He also offered me an extended warranty for a year for free. Thats great, but my machine is not fixed. This service technician said (off the record too) top loader machines are no good, do not buy, not enough water. He was there less than 5 minutes. Just got off phone with Maytag again and they can no longer do anything else, that the machine is working. I explained to the gentleman that yes the machine fills with a little bit of water and drains the water but it does NOT clean the items! Not going to let this happen to someone else. Plan on spreading the word to everyone to NOT BUY A MAYTAG TOP LOAD WASHING MACHINE. DOES NOT CLEAN YOUR CLOTHES. CONSTANT RESIDUE LEFT ON CLOTHES!

Like many others, my Maytag Bravo motherboard has stopped working after about 2 years. The clothes do not get particularly clean, it is extremely noisy, and the wash cycles are excessively long. I would not recommend this appliance to anyone.

The Maytag Washer Model # MVWB835DW is the worst I have EVER had!! I have 6 kids, my husband and myself who I do laundry for and this was supposed to be a XL washer so I can do large loads! It does not do anything to stains and all my clothes come out with clumps of powder and if I use liquid it leaves greasy residue on them! Everyone in our home has had rashes from the washing powder not getting rinsed out and my husband who gets grease and oil on his clothes has all stained clothing because of this washer that does NOT clean anything! I used to be able to get every single grease and oil stain out until I purchased this washer! My 9 yr old now has a scalded skin from the washing powder not getting rinsed no matter how much I use!! I even tried using vinegar to make it dissolve and it does not help! No matter what we do it does not fill up nor wash the clothing properly!! This washer needs to be discontinued immediately and anyone who has it have the option of exchanging it with a better washer! It is absolutely ridiculous that they know this washer does this yet keep selling it!

I bought this range Nov 2019, beautiful range that’s it. Stove top scratches very easily and hard to clean. Oven racks rust, got them replaced on the guaranty they still rust. Oven dirty never gets clean, If I could afford it I would on the curbside. I wouldn’t even give it away. 3 oven in 48 years of marriage, worst oven ever.... Sure would like a full refund, I mean 1500. What a ripoff.

Purchased Maytag dishwasher Model Number MDB7749AWM1 in June 2011. With a two person household, we need a new control panel in Sept 2014. Total cost of service call, repair and part is $325. This unit was a poor value for us. I see the trend is to discontinue a model after a short period of time, making it impossible for anyone to get a review of other peoples experiences. I went with Maytag because of this. It was a company with a strong reputation for quality equipment. Not so anymore. I would not purchase another product made by Maytag.

We purchased our Maytag washer and dryer 5 years ago... THE ABSOLUTE WORSE PURCHASE... on average 3 repairs a year after the first 6 months!!! Now the dryer is down. It takes minimum 2 trips out from a repair company to fix even minor issues. We are going to Sears today to replace both units. PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF A HEADACHE AND DO NOT PURCHASE A MAYTAG! I have read all the complaints. I have similar issues with Maytag Bravos. I’m frustrated that modern tech products stink to high heaven, especially when we refer to clean clothes not being cleaned well. The specific issues I keep getting are the following: the LF codes appear and the cold water does not fill so that it wont rinse or drain. I have replaced the defective washers and that helped for one load. I refuse to fix it. Why throw good money out for the same bad product? I’m looking for a no bells and whistles washer or dryer that works. I have issues with the dryer, too. No more Maytag products in the future. Question: Who truly makes a good reliable product nowadays?

I always thought Maytag was the best, maybe because of their ad. Finally, I bought a refrigerator two months ago, which has turned into a nightmare. The company has sent a tech six times and they all say that it is a bad design which makes my vegetable drawer full of water because of moisture. And they refused to do anything about it every time (bad management). They have already spent more money on service than what I paid for the refrigerator. Figure that out.Do not buy Maytag. It was the biggest mistake I made. I also bought a washer and a dryer at the same time. I wish I could send them all back because of the ignorant people they have working for them in their complaint and service office. Anybody out there, if you want to buy an appliance, make sure it is not Maytag.

MDB7749SBW - Purchased a new dishwasher from Home Depot & had them install it. It worked for 6 1/2 months & the control panel blinked & went dead. I did some research & found there were a lot of problems with the control panels & even a class action lawsuit. I went to Home Depot & they said contact Maytag & brushed me off. I set up a repair per warranty & all was fine for 10 months & same problem has happened again. I told them at Home Depot to replace the unit since nearly every repair job on the control panels prematurely fail again every time. I am going back to the Home Depot again. I do have older Maytag appliances that perform as required & I do know Lowes would have replaced the defective dishwasher.

We bought this washing machine 2 years ago and I was never really satisfied with how it cleaned the clothes. Darker pants would come out with white soap/water lines on them. The worst part, 2 years in, the washer basket seal failed and the bearings rusted. The washer sounds like a tornado every time it runs. I got a quote for $350 to repair it!

Not only does the water not drain properly causing an insane amount of stench of moldy water being trapped, but this washer has had nothing but problems since we got it. Error code after error code, problem after problem. So disappointed. My husband wanted an LG and I said it had to be Maytag because Maytag was the best. Thanks for making me a liar Maytag!

My refrigerator is several years old, and I would buy the same brand when I need a new one, although I would hopefully buy a counter depth one because my kitchen is so small, and the one I have now is kind of big for the space.

Maytag Microwave MMV4205DW-1 - This microwave made it one year and one month before the door would no longer latch shut and the control panel stopped working altogether. Called Maytag and was told not under warranty. It was going to cost more to repair than to purchase a new microwave that was a different brand.

This is the worse washing machine ever. Wish Id never have bought it. Clothes come out unclean, washer cleaner cycle doesnt work, water level is almost none, etc etc. I could go on and on, you get the picture. Coming here and seeing 100s of negative reviews and complaints many of which I suffer from as well, just clarifies how bad this machine really is. There has got to be a way to bring a class action lawsuit or arbitrary suit against them. Im pretty confident that there are probably 100s more who are dealing with this shoddy washing machine as we all are.

I purchase my Maytag Side by Side Refrigerator back in 2006 New. I purchase a Maytag based on the supposedly quality of their Products. And I have stove, and dishwasher as well. A week ago, after purchasing groceries, and made it home. The Refrigerator had gone out. I tried calling Maytag without success and broke down and called sears repair to come out. Well they made it today, and I was informed the Compressor had gone out, and would cost me $998.00 to repair. Of course I told him to get out of my home, because at that price I could purchase a new one. And you can bet it want be a Maytag ever again. I am so disappointed in their claims of being the best. The Maytag has nice features but the shelves dont allow much room to adjust them and the freezer could stand to be a bit larger but overall its a good and hard working fridge for the price. Would love if those two things could be fixed without a huge price tag.

Bought a Maytag dishwasher model MDB7749AWM2 on 02 Jan 2012 with no issues whatsoever until three days ago when it stopped working altogether and after doing a series of tests I discovered that Im joining a large and growing list of owners with the same problem. I never have been a fan of digital controls due to their vulnerability to temperature and humidity conditions or high impacts for that matter. Ive owned many dishwashers of various brands for upwards of 10 years on average each. This is the first one not equipped with analog/mechanical controls. Im hoping I can still find more of that type.

I purchased a Maytag dishwasher (model MDB7609AWW1) from Sears on 09/11/2009. Its control panel failed twice in 3 years. In 02/2011, after just 17 months, the dishwasher wouldnt work. Nothing happened when I pressed the start button. I paid $294.39 ($129 for a new control panel plus labor) to have it fixed. Now, 17 months after the control panel was replaced, it has again crapped out with the same problem. I see by all the complaints here that this is a common problem. I wish I had read all these complaints before I had the control panel replaced the first time. Maytag, shame on you! Never again! I called Maytag and Sears, and as you would expect, they said, Sorry, its past the warranty period. When I buy my next dishwasher, it will not be a Maytag and it will not be from Sears.

I was sooo excited to get this very very very expensive washer and dryer only to have the worst disappointment and let down...the washer in particular is horrible!!! It doesn’t wash!!! I thought I was crazy until I started reading all of these other reviews and found that many more people have had the same experience as I have... The tub never fills with water and the clothing never gets clean. I would love to start a class action against Maytag and get my money back or get a replacement.

My Maytag 3000 series washer had to be worked on right after we purchased it. Now it stinks and is leaking. Repairs are going to be over 300 dollars. A part wore out. It should have lasted longer and why does the front loading washer stink. There is no door to open to clean the filter.

Bravos XL Like so many others Ive read, this is a terrible product. Washer constantly goes off on unbalanced load. After 14 months, the plastic tub disintegrated. Maytag tried to sell me the service and extend a warranty for $300 also. Just like all the other reviews. Wow, has Maytag gone downhill.

I bought my Maytag Bravos washer and dryer set about 3.5 years ago when I moved into my home. There was a 20-year old set here that did work, but I wanted something newer and more efficient, so I donated the old set and bought these. Performance of the washer has always seemed mediocre, clothes dont get as clean as I think they should, whites are dingy, despite using hard-water additives and the correct HE products.A few months ago, the washer started a new behavior: stopping during the initial fill cycle and displaying an F1 error. I soon figured out if I hit cancel then start again, it would resume filling and proceed with the cycle. Over time, I had to repeat it more and more. Its now up to ten F1 errors both at the beginning and end of the cycle. I dont have that kind of time to babysit my washer. I already have a full-time job.I have called Maytag/Whirlpool twice now, both times getting unsatisfactory answers. Even after escalating to the customer service supervisor, I was basically told that it is most likely the control board that is the problem and since Im no longer under warranty (that washer ‘is’ almost 4 years old, maam), Id either have to order the part myself from their supplier (total cost $250 + the risk of DIY), or buy their service package for about $350 which included fixing that problem plus one additional years warranty.I pointed out that for a major household appliance that I (over) paid for, I expect a life of more than 4 years, especially since I had a working 20-year old washer when I moved in here. Since when is this acceptable? I could understand if it were a wear-and-tear part, like a rubber seal or something that moved constantly and would eventually need replaced. But this is the electronics module, something that cant (or at least, shouldnt) be worn down or broken by use or even user error. This is an integral part of the machine, and if it has a fault (which it clearly does), the manufacturer needs to stand behind it and help the consumer.What angered me even further is that the customer service manager even admitted that models similar to mine had had similar problems, and a free control board was sent to those customers. But my model was not in that range of production, so clearly they have no fault, in their eyes. Apparently, its not even remotely possible that maybe when they determined the range of models they believed to be faulty, mine hadnt been in use long enough to display the same behavior? Maybe the range they selected is too restrictive and they missed some. From the volume of complaints Ive seen online, Id bet that to be the case.I asked to be transferred to their legal department, and was refused because we just dont transfer customers to the legal department. Well, I just dont buy Maytag or Whirlpool anymore, and Im going to do my best to make sure nobody else does either. Im replacing this ** with a different brand, one Ill be sure has tremendous reviews and a manufacturer that will stand behind it.

My washing machine was noisy from the start. We had recently purchased a new fridge and were told when we questioned its noise thats just the way they are. So we didnt question the noisy washer as we should have. The noise got louder as time went on and at the 18 month mark, it was so bad, we had someone look at it. The washer had never cleaned as well as expected, but again, we were too busy to follow up. The repairman advised that the bearing and tub needed to be replaced! Augh! $450 for parts $300 for labour! I contacted Maytag/Whirlpool and was advised they would go good for the parts, I would have to pay labour. Not being terribly impressed, did a bit of research and was told it was worth fixing. As it was technically out of warranty, I was lucky to have them pay for parts. Took 6 weeks to get part. In that time, had questions about delay, etc... at one point was yelled at on the phone by Melissa from Whirlpool as I asked to speak to a supervisor. So fun :( First part comes and it is defective, luckily there was another one in Vancouver, so only an additional 4 day wait. My machine is now fixed. It is extremely quiet and cleans very well. Suffice to say, it was defective from the start. So, Ive gotten to pay an extra $300 over retail to have a working machine! Lucky me! Repairman also advised that he recommends everyone to purchase the additional 5 year warranty as the manufacturers are now only making machines with a 7 year life expectancy and I was VERY lucky in the beginning to get someone to even talk to me after the 1 year mark.

My husband and I purchased a brand new Maytag dryer in January 2012. Our first issue came when the sensors went out in March; then the belt slipped off the drum in June; then the thermistor was defective in July; and now, the same thermistor code has popped up twice since replacing it. Products spoiling even if set at recommended temperature. Hard to clean bottom freezer. Not happy with this configuration. Had to have repairmen in because of stopped up drain which I could not access to clean myself. Does not close completely at times.

Bought the xl about 14 months ago. NO LIE! Exactly 2 days after the 1-year warranty was up, the xl went down. Drive shaft and bearings. Did Maytag honor the warranty since it was only 48 hours past the expiration? Not just a no but a why are you bothering attitude. My brother and I are above average machine builders. Well fix it ourselves because we could buy a new one to have it repaired. After many hours scouring the web we found the parts. Maytag didnt make a repair kit available to the public. 7 hours plus over $200 to tear it down and to clean the muck trapped at the drain. Then sand-smooth the burnt on metal where the bearings sit. All for a washing machine that sucks at washing clothes in the first place. Never ever again will I buy a Maytag.

Very disappointed with my 2014 purchase of model MDB8959SBS3 dishwasher. In fact it is no longer in service. We used the dishwasher approximately twice a day. The wheels on the pull out racks starting falling apart in the first 6 months. Then the soap dispenser failed. It would not shut. We replaced both the wheels and the dispenser only to find ourselves with the exact same problems in a matter of months. My hubby got really good at fixing both of these items. The final straw was earlier this year as when we turned it on the motor/water pump started making a screeching sound. Never had to replace an appliance that was only four years old in my lifetime. Just very disappointed with the quality of Maytags dishwasher.

We bought the Bravo XL set 11 months ago and the washer leaks all over the place.. Called Maytag and had the repairman show up. Upon arrival he told us these were the worst machines to buy and would never recommend to anyone. He also said that business has been great due to all of this.. He checked the washer and said the water pressure was too high and lowered it. He couldnt find anything wrong with it. After he left I started a load and sure enough it was the same. Called him right back and he said to call Maytag because he was going to another repair job. I called Maytag again and they said to call the repair guy.. Never again will we ever buy Maytag.

I purchased a very expensive set of Maytag washer & dryer (topload washer) and heavy duty larger capacity. Firstly- I purchased this through Home Depot on Labor Day weekend and did not receive this set until December 2020. This set has all the electronics and Im going to tell you NOT to purchase either one. The dryer MUST have a metal solid vent. This sets your dryer out into the walkway of a laundry room. If you use a heavy flexible metal vent; your sensor will be going off constantly telling you your vent is plugged and to clean it. I had a dryer vent company out twice to clean and inspect the wall & roof vents yielding nothing. I also have a dryer vent cleaner which I hook up to my vacuum and I clean the dryer vent monthly. If you lose power. You will need to unplug your dryer and let it reset to be able to use it.The washer is also terrible for the outrageous price. Again; glass heavy duty top load with all the electronics. You cant get the washer to fill even on deep fill. Also; do NOT put a lot of clothes or jeans or blankets in this machine. It will not be able to level and spin. When you try to use the drain and spin cycle; the sensor keeps going off. I swift the contents around and around and finally end up having to take soaking wet cloths out into the garage until I have one sheet in the machine and it will spin out. In addition- the CLEAN with Afresh mess. This forces you to clean your machine- whether you are in the middle of trying to get clothes drained or not.Buy something thats a simple workhorse with one button. Stay away from any bells and whistles because its only going to cause you heartache in the long run. I wish I would have read reviews prior to spending $1,700 on a Maytag Washer Dryer set (ON SALE- for God sakes). This is the biggest piece of garbage I have ever purchased. Buyer beware.

My Maytag refrigerator, french door freezer on bottom MFT2976AEMOO has had problems since I bought it. It is with the icemaker in the refrigerator door and freezer. My icemaker has been leaking since we have gotten it dripping water into the refrigerator. The freezer now is not working and all my frozen food thawed out. I am so tired of having workmen coming out to try to repair it. They even took the refrigerator back to the shop and had it for 3 weeks and said it was repaired and told me it was working fine. NOT frozen food, again thawed.

WOW! I cant believe I bought a Maytag MDB7749AWM1 Dishwasher without reading any reviews. Paid $650 for it a couple of years ago and the control panel is bad. $390 to repair it, unbelievable! Sounds like Maytag has a major customer service problem because I will NEVER BUY A MAYTAG DISHWASHER again! Spent $5000 grand on new Maytag appliances thinking they were the best to replace the outdated ones. Not the same, not sure what youre doing Maytag but youre losing a lot of loyal customers. What a shame! My old dishwasher lasted over 18 years and I didnt have any problems. 2 years? Come on!!! Same problem as the other 5000 people, someone needs a career change!

We purchased a Maytag Bravos Quiet 300 about 8 months ago and it will not clean anything. Not one setting will make this machine clean. You have to wash everything 2 to 3 times. There is no savings of any kind with this machine and I dont know anyone who has the time to wash everything multiple times. Its all about the water; its about as much as you can spit. I ran a hose from the faucet and added 8 gallons about 10 minutes into the wash cycle and was able to clean (float) a set of sheets. I find this energy star machine to be worthless and I would have been better buying an old machine at a garage sale than this Bravos machine. Junk. If you cant float your cloths folks, you might as well be rubbing them on a rock.

After using my GE Profile to death we replaced it with a Maytag; mostly for the cost. Although I hate to admit this, remember the old saying you get what you paid for - Well its true at least in the case of this Maytag oven. I am a constant cook and own a bakery, I often bake many of my products at home. Since getting this oven I have had nothing but failures. The cakes are over done, underdone, cookies burnt, not cooked enough; my time frame for recipes is so off! I wrote a cook book and have baked for years so I know for a fact its not some miraculous mishap that all of a sudden I cant bake. Ive had them come calibrate the oven but still no success.Im going to call them again but I felt compelled to let people know this is the worst oven in history and avoid purchasing it at all cost. I plan on having the service team come out one last time but if this doesnt work I plan on replacing it. Its a Maytag Double Wall Oven-Top Convection-Self Cleaning model no: MEW9630DS-SS. BUYERS BEWARE!

After researching the top-rated washing machine in consumer reports, we decided to spend the extra cash ($930) and buy the top-rated machine. Spending almost double on a high end machine, you would expect this machine to last longer than three years. The motherboard needs to be replaced because it gets stuck on a UL code near the end of the cycle. Now, we have had two people come try to fix it, and they said to trash it and buy a new one. Only three years! If I had paid $300, I wouldnt be so upset, but that was a total waste of money for it to last less than any machine Ive ever had. How is a consumer supposed to know what a good washing machine is if they spend extra cash for the top-rated machine and that one is still bad? The company should replace something like a motherboard that goes faulty when it had nothing to do with use. So unfair and frustrating.

I purchased my 10kg commercial Maytag dryer in March 2015 and started using it in May 2015. Within two months the heater had broken. I contacted the people I bought it off and it turned out I had to contact Whirlpool. It took them 8 weeks to get my dryer going again. The dryer broke down again in November. This time it was a sensor. Again I had to contact Whirlpool, it took them three weeks to get it going again. Being a care home the dryer is essential to our business. We were led to believe when we took out the extended warranty that the dryer would be fixed within a week. I will never purchase a Maytag again or anything to do with Whirlpool.

I have never reviewed anything and feel compelled to chime in. The Maytag Bravos XL is the WORST washer dryer set ever. My 20 year old tiny washer with agitator cleaned a million times better in half the time. In fact this washer doesnt even clean your clothes! The reason is because so little water comes in and you cannot manually control the amount of water. Ive tried deep water wash-total joke. Heavy duty wash and extra rinse, still no better. You can wash it 2-3 times with the same poor results. Who wants to put on dirty underwear! The dryer easily takes 2 cycles to get an average size load dry and forget sheets and towels! They take 2 hours.

I have had my Maytag refrigerator for eight years and it is best one I have had in fifty years. It is dependable, quiet running and easy to maintain. The ice maker is wonderful; it always has ice ready even on the hottest summer day. If and when I ever need to purchase another refrigerator, I wouldnt hesitate to buy another Maytag!

Maytag washer model MVWC416FW1. This is the worst washer ever. I only had this washer for 1 year and 2 months. Oil leaks from the bottom all over my floor. The washer is soooooooo loud you can probably hear it down the street when it is on spin cycle and the start button works when it wants. I called Maytag and they told me if a service man come it may not be covered and I will have to pay out of pocket. The 10 year warranty listed on top of the washer and dryer only covers the parts not the labor. Very disappointed. Its a good thing I purchased an extended warranty but I dont know what will they do. 1 year and may be buying another washer. It DEFINITELY wont be a Maytag. If I could rate this a 0 I would.

We used to own a Neptune Model. After always leaving the door opened and following the recommended monthly cleaning and many extra cleanings with diluted bleach and water, we could not get the smell out. We paid for a new seal, Advice from Washing Machine Repair service even though we paid a lot for an extended warranty. We had to pay for this ourselves. We also had our year to year maintenance. Because we could not fix the issue, nor would MAYTAG, we donated the set to donated it to Salvation Army.We decided to give MAYTAG another chance, so we purchased a brand new FRONT-LOAD WASHER and DRYER in 2014. As I would repeat the same regiment, I would notice little black specks, so I would clean it an extra time with Afresh. I have continued to this date, repeating the same regiment of keeping my washer clean and serviced as we should, I now have the whole tray dispenser spotted with LARGE black goo that smells. So I have continued to clean my Washer.After returning home from the Cleveland Clinic, I was ready to do our laundry from the trip, more black goo and smell coming from my Maytag front-load washer. My sister had stayed with my 86 year old mother and had wash a load of towels while we were gone. She left the door opened also as she was instructed many times, and that is how we found it. So I took the dispenser tray out as usual and bleached it and scrubbed it. As I did this I noticed bigger areas of goo. I looked in the dispenser housing and OMG it was covered with black mold. I am appalled that our $900.00 Washing Machine is like this. This IS BLACK MOLD, There is no way to remove this mold. I have the sides and bottom cleaned with bleach, BUT I cannot get into the multiple crevices.I called Maytag and I was initially told by a Maytag Customer Service Person said that it sounds like BLACK MOLD and MAYTAG COULD DO NOTHING! I asked to speak with a supervisor. At first she seemed a little put off, but as we talked she became more pleasant, I offered to send pictures or a video of the WASHER WITH THE BLACK MOLD and she said no. She told me to pour bleach into each dispensing compartment and the drum. Then run a wash with no clothes on all HOT WATER 2 times, then rinse 2 times and this should get rid of it and to also leave the dispenser drawer open a crack as well as the door after each wash.The Supervisor said ok and thanked her for her help. Then she said good luck and thanks for calling MAYTAG. Ive did and already do everything our Washer manual says to do on cleaning and maintenance of my expensive Maytag Washer and dryer. The manual says nothing about leaving the dispenser drawer open a little so it dries. The bottom of the housing looks great from doing this, along with me scrubbing it until 5:00 am with diluted bleach water. However, in the MANY SEAMS, CREVICES, THE SCHUTE AND POSSIBLY THROUGHOUT THE WASHING MACHINE IS BLACK MOLD that we cannot access without disassembling the machine and voiding our extended warranty.MOLD GROWS RAPIDLY and causes many illness. I already have an ongoing illness since childhood, I take care of my 86 year old mother, my husband just finished cancer treatment in January. We certainly do not need any other health issues. I called my local Appliance repair company and they said that they normally do not handle anything like this, but if my husband couldnt take the outside of the machine off then the top I could pay for a repair person to come out to take it apart then call and have them come back to put it back, pay them again to reassemble our Washer.I believe Whirlpool in its purchase of Maytag has taken a Monkey on its back. Maytag will do nothing, why should they? They already have their money from when we purchased our machines along with money from many other consumers who also have ongoing issues with their WHIRLPOOL/MAYTAG Front-Load washing machines. It is undignified and deceitful how they treat their consumers with such disregard when we have filled their pockets by being loyal customers.Word of mouth is good or bad advertisement for any company. Everyone who has unresolved issues of any kind can write a formal complaint to the CEO and President of Whirlpool/Maytag. The address is on the internet. Shame on Whirlpool/Maytag for taking many consumers hard earned money, when apparently some of Whirlpool/Maytags money is ill gained by developing and manufacturing a consumer product that causes black mold and marketing it to sell to us, the consumer. In August my GE refrigerator of 22 years bit the dust. Went to our local appliance center and purchased this unit for $2100. Have only had it a month and am so dissatisfied with the water dispenser, ice machine and doors, I want to return it. I cant wait for all the other things to go wrong with it. I dont know who the engineer was behind this but he needs to be fired. I really wish I had reviewed this refrigerator before purchasing it as I will never recommend Maytag again after reading all the bad reviews. The name Maytag used to mean something dependable and made well... Rant over.

We purchased this set 6 months ago. The store we purchased it from is unwilling to help us. Maytag insists there is nothing wrong with the washing machine. The machine doesnt clean the clothes. After a wash cycle there is pet fur and lint all over the clothes, even after it comes out of the dryer. The clothes are all twisted in tight knots when the load is done. The washing Machine doesnt dispense enough water to wash. I have taken clothes out of the washer and the items are dry in spots, most times you can smell the mustiness of a dish towel after its been washed.I used the steam clean dryer to fresh in up the curtains and the panels came out different lengths. Not eager to try that feature again. This is our 2nd dryer set purchase, the last set was 10 yrs old. I couldnt find anyone willing to repair it. I was told they dont make machines like they used to and they are all designed to last 10 yrs and you’re lucky if it lasts 15 yrs. Yes, we contacted Maytag and yes, like the many other folks who have shared their stories we also got the run around. Sad to say we are going to do our research and will be looking for a new machine. Im going to shamefully donate the set to a charitable organization and use the receipt as a tax write off. IF you’re doing your research, DO NOT BUY A MAYTAG.

These machines have lots of service problems, although Im not familiar with the newer models. The function and the features are adequate, and typical. And overall, again, I have no complaints other than shortly after purchasing, there was a circuit board recall for these machines, and fortunately, I had a repairman who knew of the issue, and guided me to a cost free fix. Overall, it has served the purpose well of cleaning my clothes in a decent fashion.

Dishwasher worked fine for the first 12.5 months, and lo and behold 1 month after the warranty expired, I had my first repair, a new motor. A few months later, I had my second problem, the thermostat. A few months later, I called Maytag because I thought that the control panel was probably shot (based on my previous Maytag for which I replaced the control panel 4 times, before Maytag finally agreed to get me a new dishwasher). At that point they sold me an extended warranty which for 300 they would make this repair, and any other repairs for the next year. They have been out 7, yes 7 times, in 4 months. They would probably be out more often, but since it has been difficult to get a repair person out here, more time than not Im washing dishes by hand. Their customer service is horrible, their products worse. Still waiting for the dishwasher to be repaired. They wont send out a different company, even though they have been out here 7 times, and keep coming back. Even when it is repaired, they will not cover the cost to replace the soap bin, the racks, the wheels on the rack, and all the little pieces made out of the same quality plastic as the stuff I buy at the Dollar Store (except when that stuff breaks, it doesnt ruin my hardwood floors). Dont buy a Maytag, roll up some $100 bills and light a match, because you can look at a pretty flame and wont raise your blood pressure dealing with their customer service.

I had bought Maytag Dishwasher MDBH979AWW3 in Sep. 2009. Oct 2011, the dishwasher stopped working and the control panel had to be replaced, few days later, it stopped working again and the Thermal fuse had to be replaced. Now two months later, it stopped working again. Till this point, Ive spent a lot of money on the repairs and I wish I had used that money to buy a new dishwasher. Looks like not just the Maytag dishwashers are faulty, but even the parts they have are faulty. I will not recommend any Maytag products to anyone.

This machine (Maytag Bravos XL) was in our new house and is relatively new. It is the worse machine I have ever owned. I am 58 and cant reach the bottom of the tub to get clothes out. It doesnt fill with enough water to clean the clothes, and repeatedly I have my clothes coming out dirty. I have had to rewash clothes to get them clean at all. Or they come out with grime all over them. I had both a LG and Samsung front loaders in the past, if I could afford it I would throw this Maytag out on the curb! Its a piece of junk.

Approximately one week ago, the display on my fridge began to flash and ice door flap continuously opens and closes. Upon researching the issue, it seems to be a very common issue and a known defect. One in which was apparently a recall at one point. I was told by a Maytag representative that the recall was from 2007 to 2009 and has since expired. Expired? Its a known defect and should be the responsibility of Maytag to provide the parts and labor to repair the fridge. I asked for a supervisor and was told that one would contact me within 24 hours. Well, about a week later, I never received that call so I called Maytag again. This time I was told by the maytag representative and a supervisor that there was no recall and that it was a Quality issue. A play with words, in my opinion. Anyhow, regardless of the title the issue was given, I was told I would be responsible for the repairs and costs. I attempted to look up the recall on Maytags website and had seen the last two letters of the serial number to my fridge listed under the recall, but when I tried to investigate further, the site referred me to the 800 phone number I had been calling. Now, had this been an issue that was not a known defect and apparently a recall, I wouldnt be writing on this site right now. But, because it is a known defect that maytag is aware of, I think its Maytags responsibility to pay for the parts and labor for my fridge.

Both my washer and dryer are Maytag. Dryer element shorted out but was still under warranty so was fixed. Washer is very loud and now makes a rattling sound. Every so often it will hang in the middle of a cycle and the lid wont open until I unplug it.

Its just me and my wife. We bought a brand new, top of the line Maytag top loader washing machine 7 1/2 years ago. It quit working last week. We called a reputable appliance repair company in Toledo. It cost $88 for the technician to tell us the Maytag computer system is not worth repairing. It looks great. According to the technician Maytsg is known for selling junk. My wife and I felt we were buying a top of the line washing machine. We were duped. We had a top of the line LG top load washer delivered today. Never will we ever, under any circumstances, buy anything from Maytag.

Oven was purchased and put in May 2014. I have not be able to use. The oven temperature is off. If the oven is used at 500 degrees the temperature is really 900. I thought I had a gas leak because I got a bad headache because of the smell. The gas co told me to get a repair person to look at it. Maytag has been horrible to deal with. I have taken 3 separate days off trying to get it fixed. The last Maytag repair man had the nerve to ask me where the gas line was. He shut the wrong off and had a gas leak in my house. I had to open all windows. He was supposed to come back the next day. He did not and I received no calls. I have paid for an oven that is dangerous that I cannot use. I feel Im being treated this way because I am an older woman. I will never buy another Maytag.

Washer leaves spots on clothes and massive knots in clothes. The serviceman has been here twice since we bought it and was told to use extra wash option and heavy load wash with fabric softener option as well, and to only use about one tablespoon of detergent. So much for the green option! Results, still washing clothes 2 or 3 times per load then into the dryer. Tried an experiment - washed a pair of my daughters white capris and then washed them at a friends house while water was saved in a separate tub. Holy crap, the dirt in the water. Do not buy this machine. Not even if it is offered to you for free.

I have always loved Maytag but this top load washer is a bust. I purchased this higher dollar energy efficient washing machine to hopefully get the value out of it for years to come. Model MVWC565F. 4.2 Cu Ft. I use good quality liquid laundry detergent. I launder adult clothing (including business casual wear), sheets, towels and pet blankets. Occasionally the 20+ something children do their laundry while home. I often have dry spots on my clothes where they never got actually wet. I switched to only using the deep water cycle; however, this does not immerse the load in water. The smaller my load the less likely to get clean. Ive adapted to only have large loads but I still do not feel my clothes are getting clean. I often have to run the load a second time to not only remove ordinary day-of-wearing smells (very noticeable in socks for example) but to get them all wet and free of soapy/linty-like spots left on the clothes from the washer (most notable on black leggings, dress pants, etc). I always do my towels and bedding separate from daily clothing, so this is not coming from having a mixed load. I have also noticed that the load takes much longer (up to 2 hours) for my washing cycle. How is this energy efficient? It uses less water but more electricity? I miss my old fully-immerse-in-water washing machine that washed in under an hour! Love the dry that I bought with this but not the washing machine!! I do not recommend this washing machine!!

We had remodeled our kitchen in 2009. Bought new fridge and stove (Maytag). The oven door came off and cant get it back on. No matter how many times we tried, no way can we get it back on. I had to have my son to come and help us. No sooner did we use the handle to open the door off again. This has been going on for 3 years. **, well fed up. I called Maytag about this issue and they told me they would get a repair at my cost. The fridge freezes all the produce, cant regulate the temperature. Never ever will we buy any Maytag product again. Who knows what’s going to happen next? Oh, and the paint is chipping off of the grates of the gas stove.

We have a model MF12269VEMS. Approx 3 years old. Ice maker and water dispenser work great. Fridge works well. We have experienced over the last 6 months a buildup of ice that forms inside the freezer under the drawers. If we dont catch it every 4-5 days we cannot open the drawers as the ice catches the bottom plastic drawers. I called Maytag directly and the pleasant young lady told me after checking that it did not seem to be an issue...clearly after looking into the internet I am not alone! Maybe someone can email me a fix?

I have never had washing machine that caused this many headaches. The point of a machine is to save you time and energy washing by hand. When the cycle is over, the clothes are tightly spun together that we spend half an hour attempting to untie all the clothes that are woven together. The clothes come back to us in knots, or torn because of the rough nature this machine has created. I have never seen anything like this before and would gladly throw this piece of junk out. We are moving and it would create more headaches to deal with this at the moment. I read that the company had severe money problems and it was due to this very issue. I cant believe a company this well known would allow this to ever hit the market! To openly LIE to people and make money off a product that is faulty deserves the karma they get. Please stay away from this company and their rubbish machines they make and then sell. BUYER BEWARE!

We purchased a Maytag dishwasher, Model #MDB7749, in the belief that it was a quality product. Many initial reviews were positive. Unfortunately, that decision was a mistake. The washer is only three years old and the control panel has failed. We are unable to select wash cycles. It defaults to Auto Clean/Heated Dry only. The washer has been lightly used.An online search found numerous complaints for control panel problems with this Maytag dishwasher. Please check ConsumerAffairs, Amazon, or Maytags own Facebook (Maytag was forced to create the Facebook page in 2010 under a mandate from the Consumer Product Safety Commission after a recall of dishwashers for fire hazards) before making any decision to buy a Maytag/Whirlpool appliance. It would also be wise to purchase an extended warranty.Our Whirlpool clothes washer failed after 5 years (bearings + controls). We cant afford to replace a major appliance every three to five years. The estimated cost to repair the dishwasher is $300 - $400. Maytag/Whirlpool customer service is indifferent to helping its customers. Its disappointing to see a made in America company produce such poor quality products and not support them.

I purchased my first and last Maytag double door bottom freezer in Aug 2018. The ice maker shoots ice out all over the floor, only half make it into the glass. It also sounds as though ice is falling down inside door. I had the ice maker replaced twice, the gasket as well, the back removed to check for water line blockage NO avail. Before the first ice maker replacement it sounded like a freight train. I questioned whether I had received a store second from Home Depot or a return as the stickers inside had been removed but HD couldn’t assist and Maytag didn’t care. Definitely NOT worth the 2000 I paid.

My Maytag washer (model number MVWC400XW3) worked well for 6 months. Suddenly, it started making terrible loud noises when spinning. Repairmen have come out 6 times, and I got second opinions. It was turned over to another repair company. Transmission has been replaced as well as the motor. I have been without a washer for 3 months. Repairmen would come out, replace a part, and leave; and the washer is never fixed. I asked the repairmen to stay for an entire cycle, but they act insulted and left, saying its fixed. When I tried to wash, everything went crazy. I unplugged the washer and plugged it back in to reset it. I turned the dial to spin, and the lights said the washer was sensing. The lights never moved off that. The washer sounded like its trying to wash, but theres a strong grinding noise. When does the repairman decide he cant fix it? My husband is insisting we go buy another washer. The washer was bought in September 2011, so its still in warranty. In addition, we bought a five-year warranty. The repairmen stay 15 minutes, plug in a new part, and leave. They dont come back for two weeks. Will we ever get this washer fixed or get a new one. How do we put pressure on Maytag to fix it or give us a new one?

I also bought a Maytag refrigerator in 2013. Right after the warranty expired it was forming ice on the bottom and back of the freezer and was not making ice. I called Maytag and they told me they have no complaints on this type of refrigerator. It was also always making a lot of noise. Maytag was supposed to be the quiet one. I will never buy another Maytag product and I will do anything to make sure nobody else does either.

Do not buy a Maytag dishwasher with model # MDBH969AWB1. I bought this dishwasher last Dec. 2010. I could not use it for 2 weeks, because the door would not shut. The repair man came & fixed the door. Then when I actually got to use it and after it finished running the cycle, the tub was dripping with water all over--top, sides, door, bottom. I had to dry the dishes on the top rack, and I had to leave the door open for days in order for the inside to eventually get dry. The first thing I noticed about this dishwasher when it was installed was that it was smaller than my other dishwasher. I hate the design because of the way they have made the racks plus because it is smaller--it holds less dishes than my old one did. I could actually get almost twice as many dishes in my old one than I can with this one. Do they not think of asking the consumer about what they want in a dishwasher instead of going ahead and making something that is not functional?I am so frustrated with this thing; it has brought me to tears. I just today went to Sears and looked at their Kenmore dishwasher. It is designed more like my old one than any of the other makes out today. I wish I had checked this out, before I bought this Maytag. Weve always heard how Maytag is at the top of the line with no problems, right? Dont believe it. I will never buy another one. Whoever is designing these dishwashers need to go back to 1990 and take a look at how it was designed and then go back to making them like that. I loved my older dishwasher, and I wish I had never let them take it away. I wish I had taken the money I spent on this ridiculous Maytag and had my old one fixed no matter what the cost. I made a terrible mistake.If you have an older dishwasher and it has given you good service for years, I suggest you have it fixed and keep it, because you will not like the performance of what they are selling today. It does not matter what brand you buy, they are all designed the same. Just take a look and compare them. But if you buy, please check out the Kenmore. I dont know if the performance is better, but the racks are better designed. My old dishwasher was a Hotpoint. It was the cheapest one on the market, and it gave me the most wonderful service ever. The dishes were always very clean, the heating element was fantastic, and it always dried the dishes completely. I cant believe they would make a product like they do today and sell them for what they do. The heating element in them today is not as good or strong as what they used to make. That is why the dishes wont dry properly. You get way less than what you pay for. Thinking a new dishwasher is the way to go, think again. Please, if at all possible, keep your old one and have it fixed over & over again. I hate this dishwasher. What a joke on the unsuspecting buyer.

Below is the message I submitted to Maytag on 5/6/2016 at 10:00 a.m. ET and just received an answer via phone call today 5/9/2016 at 3:30 p.m. ET that Maytag will be doing nothing. Also, my husband has still not received a call about the drum seal and when Maytag can come fix this part that broke in their machine only months after purchase. I will let you read my message to Maytag and you may decide if you would like to buy their dryer after reading what I sent and knowing they will be doing nothing. (Washer works just fine).If this message could be passed onto customer retention and/or management, I would greatly appreciate that action being taken. My husband, and I purchased a Maytag Washer and Dryer Set from Lowes in (Listed Location) on (Listed Date) (Model Number: MGDC555DW2 and Serial Number: **). The dryers drum seal has already gone bad on one side. We had a Maytag servicer come to our home on Monday, May 2, 2016 to confirm this and said he needed to order parts and we would hear back from him on my husbands cell number in a few days, which we still have not received contact. Additionally, due to the drum seal going bad, a whole load of laundry has extreme tears in the material to the point of being ruined. I have pictures of the clothes/sheets and drum seal, however there is not a location on this contact form to upload them. I have three work shirts, worth around $30.00 each and new bed sheets just bought in the amount of $77.39 which have full threads pulled through them due to the dryer going bad in only four and a half months of normal usage. I am writing to request compensation for my items that are now unwearable/unusable and would be glad to provide pictures and receipts for price of items. We of course have not used the dryer since, which has been a huge inconvenience, especially with no update in knowing when the dryer will be fixed and reusable. I purchased the Bravos Washer and Dryer from an elderly couple who didnt have it more than 6 months. About a year went by and the washer started making a noise when the water extracted and finally flooded my laundry room. I found that a penny had gotten into the plastic housing that extracts the water. This has happened on 2 different occasions. I have replaced the extraction unit 2 times and it now cracked again. Then I started getting F1 error codes and having to restart as much as 6 times so it would start the cycle. This washer has been a royal pain. It is frustrating when you think you are getting a quality product and have nothing but problems. I previously had a Kenmore washer and dryer that lasted me 15 years and was still functioning when we sold the set after buying the Maytag Monster. We only ever replaced the heating element in the dryer once. That was it. I will not consider a Maytag again and possibly not another HE at all. Glad I did not buy them new!

My Bravos Washer and Gas dryer are only a few years old, and they have both been problematic to say the least! Neither Home Depot nor Maytag have been helpful. My washer has had the shocks replaced already, because it would constantly go off balance and shut down and they cant grease the bearings because they are sealed. So, now it sounds like an airport is in my laundry room! The gas dryer takes an entire day to half dry a load and its burnt on the inside!

I positively HATE the new BravosXL Maytag washer, which has no decent agitator. It is ruining my clothes, as it spins with little water and leaves soap residue all over the clothes. Additionally it puts large, long wrinkles in my knits, especially disfiguring slacks. Maytag must have known how rough and ruinous this washer was on knits BEFORE selling it to an unsuspecting public! I want my money back in order to purchase an old-style, well-functioning agitator washing machine.A class-action suit should be brought against Maytag. There was no way to know before buying and using that this machine is horrible!!!

Good deal, recommended by dealer friend. Front loaders, high efficiency, 12 years or so. Finally needs new bearings on the washer. Replaced electronic board 5 years ago. High repair costs would be the worst which is related to low-quality construction. I expect my next pair to last as long as the last 1. Full size, not stackable but oversized drums. Relatively low water usage, lots of different settings for different loads for washing and drying, automatic water level and wrinkle guard.

Bought a Maytag microwave model MMV4205DS and I too have had an issue with open/close door display. Just like other reviews Ive read it started out once in a while for the first year then began happening more often til it stopped working by the second year. I also read someone asking why there isnt a class action lawsuit? Good question. Way too many bad reviews on same issue. If I knew how and if we could start one then I would. Thought we could trust a company thats been around for so many years. Wish we had check into it more and I have learned from other products to do just that from now on. Have a backup microwave by GE from WalMart weve had for 10 yrs still working.

I purchased this relatively expensive range and could not have imagined how dissatisfied I would be. The Aqualift cleaning technology does not work. There is no way to clean the oven door. They stress not to use oven cleaner, but as the Aqualift system does nothing to clean the oven door, there is no choice but to use oven cleaner, which they say will ruin the oven coating. Also, the grates are very heavy and it is impractical to clean the range top. I wish I had researched further; this product is a MAJOR disappointment.

I purchased a Maytag dishwasher delivered in dec 2012. We are snowbird Canadians and the dishwasher is only used 5 months per year. Jan 2015 the control panel quit working and the repairman tells me the wires on the control panel have started to melt down. He called Maytag and was told they had extended the warranty on this machine for one more year. Missed it by 2 months. Considering this was only really used one year, I am very disappointed. How can an extended warranty on a safety issue only be for one year? This is my first Maytag product and will be my last. I only purchased it because I was told Whirlpool bought them out and I have never had a problem with Whirlpool.

I have a MGDB850WR0 Maytag Dryer. I have had to replace the thermo sensor/heat sensor three times in the past three years. Dryer takes forever to dry. I spoke to the repairman who told me in confidence that his company receives a lot of calls about this specific dryer for the same reason. He said the part was originally made faulty and thats why it keeps going out. The part being the thermo sensor/heat sensor.

We bought a new Maytag Bravo XL washer in 2015 under the understanding it has a 10 year warranty. Well it’s 2020 and it starting leaking. Called customer service and lost 3hours of my life waiting for a person. Keep in mind I’m pretty handy and work on spa, and pools. And can troubleshoot things like this. I found the problem on our washer looked up the part and number.When I finally got a person on the phone they wanted to send a technician out to verify what is wrong with it. I was all for that but then they said it would cost $100. I said no because I already know what’s wrong and just need the part so I could fix it. I knew the labor would not be covered under warranty so that’s why I didn’t really need the tech to come. After a few minutes Maytag finally says the unit is. It covered under warranty at all. I asked yes it is because it’s literally written all over the washer it has a 10year warranty. So then Maytag goes to say they only cover the drum and motor for 10 years.So now I’m stuck with a washer that leaks that was sold to us under the pretense of a 10year warranty for parts. And now having to buy $280 worth of parts and shipping to fix it. Maytag advertises that they have the best warranty and they never break as their commercials imply. So they represent themselves And their warranty falsely. Buyer beware. Maytag is shady. I’m guessing Whirlpool is part of them so please do your research before you buy. 1. Customer service doesn’t exist with them. (3hrs hold times.) 2. Misleading warranty coverage. 3. Will not call you back.4. Try to extort more money from you. ($100 to send a tech out to confirm what you already know.)DO NOT BUY!!! Learn from our mistake.

We bought this he Maytag washing machine about 3 years ago. I have hated it from the start and should have put a review right away because it is a piece of cr#&. It does not save any energy because I have had to rewash loads because clothes come out still dirty, lint still on them, sometimes even dry spots on clothes. I did a wash today and chunks of HE detergent still in the clothes. I am rewashing a load right now. I now have to do a presoak hoping that will help the load come out cleaner. So dont waste any money on Maytags HE machines as I will never buy another one.Being an environmentally conscious person, I thought HE was the way to go but it doesnt save any energy when you have constantly run a laundry twice to get clothes clean. It also does not do a good job spinning as clothes are still very wet. I hate this machine and I am thinking about junking it even though it still runs. Very bad purchase.

My refrigerator is a lemon! We bought a Maytag bottom freezer French door refrigerator model #MFD2561HEW in May of 2007. Less than a year later, it stopped working and ruined all the food inside. I cant remember the problem that time, but it was fixed by Maytag and we were reimbursed for a portion of the food we lost. Two years later, the temperature got warm in the refrigerator and freezer sections, and we were gone for a couple of days, so when we got home, all of our food was spoiled. This time we had an extended warranty in effect and they replaced a circuit board, but we were out the food. A few months later, the same thing happened. This time we were home and saved most of the food. The compressor was replaced, again under warranty, but it took 2 weeks to get the part. Now, less than a year later, the freezer and refrigerator compartments are getting too warm and frost is forming in the back of the freezer. When it finally does get cool, it freezes the food in the refrigerator section. It also makes loud bumping sounds. I paid $80 to a repairman today to tell me that theres nothing wrong with it, thats just the way it runs! He suggested I put a gallon of milk jugs filled with water in the freezer to hold the temperature when it starts to rise! This piece of junk is just 5 years old! When I complained, I was told to call Maytag and discuss it with them. This refrigerator was not cheap and I see that many others have had similar problems. How do they get away with selling an inferior product?

Worst customer service ever. I ordered my washer and dryer from home depot 2 weeks before a possible delivery day. The day before delivery I receive a call that they dont have them and I must wait 1 more week. After 3 phone calls I am promised a credit to my account. A week after delivery I am wondering where my credit I was promised is so I call. Im told the most I can be given is $100. I state that I feel my time is worth more than that. A supervisor is brought in and Im told we will get $150 credit. Then put on hold. She reviews account (why didnt you do this first) and told because we didnt call within 48 hrs of delivery the most they can give us is $75. So I call back very frustrated. Then Im told its our word against theirs that we were offered that?!? What?!? Well I am sure you record conversations and thats total BS. I explained how you cant offer something then take it back. I was told the week before I was getting a credit and my account already notated. No one said, Call within 48 hrs to dispute again to get it. Why would I have to I mean seriously. So after a total of at least 2hrs on the phone before and after delivery I am forced to settle with $75. I feel very unappreciated. I purchased and paid for $1633 worth of appliances that were a week later than promised. Called less than 24 hrs before expected delivery and told they dont even have them. Then told Im getting a credit of $150 to be told sorry now just $75. The lady proceeds to say that she doesnt think it was because of the phone call not being made. What? Are you serious. WELL THAT WAS THE LAME EXCUSE I WAS GIVEN SO I COULD CARE LESS IF IT WASNT THE REAL REASON. THAT JUST MEANS I WAS LIED TO. I promise I will never buy Maytag Whirlpool again. One customer may not mean much to you but good customer service means everything to me.

I have the Maytag Direct Drive Motor washing & dryer set the is supposed to be “commercial technology.” The washer is supposed to keep wet clothes fresh if they don’t make it to the dryer right away. After 2 years, I disagree in that it offers no better outcome than the much older machine I replaced. Furthermore the dryer cuts off leaving my clothes damp every single time, which I cannot stand. It leaves my clothes to wrinkle terribly and damp to stink if I do not collect them fast. I honestly wish I still had my old set. All the new features simply fail to measure up not to mention over complicate and add expense to repairs.

Dishwasher could do better with washing the dishes better and less recycling time. Also, it would be better if it had a self cleaning unit on it.

We purchased both a new Maytag washer & dryer in 2011. Our dryer, Model #7000XG1 all of the sudden started thumping when we were drying our laundry. After we called a technician to come out, he stated we had a crack in our drum. How in the heck does that happen in 4 years time and only laundering for 2 people? Of course this steel drum should not wear out before the other parts, but it did. Since there is a backorder on the replacement drum, it makes you wonder if this problem is wider than it seems. Also, Maytag would do nothing for us other than offer us the purchase of a new dryer at a discounted rate good for only 7 days of their offer. Seriously, how about standing behind your product? And, then again, why would we be enticed to spend that kind of money on the same type of product that has flaws? Uh, duh Maytag or Whirlpool. Silly fools you are.

In May of 2009, my husband and I bought a new Maytag refrigerator side-by-side, model MSD-2572VEW. The day we bought it, pieces started breaking. The shelves started cracking, and now they are completely falling apart. There are also cracks in the inside walls of the refrigerator. Every single door shelf, inside shelf and wall is falling apart. I have fixed the ice-maker myself several times. I am now going to design and build some new shelves so that we can get as much use out if it as possible before it is unusable. I am angry that a company can make such a horrible product and not have to take responsibility. If my employer ever provided a client anything but the best, we would all be out a job.

We had a house built in 2007 and bought all new Maytag appliances - washer, dryer, oven/range, dishwasher, refrigerator and microwave. Consequently, we spent many thousands of $ and Maytag made much money from our purchases. In the 7.5 years since we have been using these appliances, the dishwasher already had to be replaced, as fixing it would have cost just as much as buying a new one. But its the range that I am so angry about. I have replaced the igniter 3 times since 2007, and last night, it went out again. I have spent $494 so far to keep replacing the igniter and once I make the service call to replace it AGAIN, it means I will have spent approx. $700 to keep fixing an appliance that is only 7.5 years old. Maytag says the warranty on the appliance is only for 1 year and will not budge on giving me a break on cost of parts and/or service. I will NEVER AGAIN purchase anything Maytag or recommend Maytag to anyone.

we have trouble with maytag doublre oven. the oven is over 100 degree off set temp and is not consitant. some times high some times low. we have had ae repair out they relaced control board and circuit board same problem still exists. we had turner repair out they took a reading when it hit desires temp but did not stay to see temp rise above or below set temp. turner repair another tech order a temp probe the turner tech put in probe and jst left didnot even check oven. he was pissed off I quess. same problem still exisits. We bought stove from Nebraka furniture mart the said theyont support repair after 30 days. we hope and pray that the tech will report to Maytag (Whirlpool) that the stove is bad and we can get a new one. So far no repair action has helped. We had a repair person out to repair a leak on a whirlpool washer . he also is qualified on stove but not a whirlpool repair authorized repair person. He checkedd the stove and said it is 100 degees off and we need to get a new one. Washer broke down after one year. The washer stop in the spin cycle. Called many times - got no satisfaction. Still using local laundry mat. Very disappointed. Always thought Maytag was top of the line. I guess I was wrong.

I wrote the below to Maytag on their FaceBook page, of course havent heard anything back from them. Adding this on since I forgot about it, I have dogs and wash their blankets often, not that theyre dirty just for the dog smell. I have to wash them on the sanitize cycle which is an 1.5 hours long because if I use the normal cycle which is only 43 minutes they come out smelling exactly the same way they went in. I saw someone else post that their mothers front loader doesnt put in enough water so Im wondering if thats what happens to mine. So wish I would have checked the reviews before buying, thought I was getting a great washer buying Maytag.This is what I wrote on their FB page: I bought a Maytag front loading washer on 5/10/16 which was delivered and set up on 5/13/16. On Wednesday 10/19/16 it stopped working, so just over 5 months from the day it was installed. I called your company on 10/20/16 for repairs, they couldnt get here until today, 10/24, so 5 days with no washer. The customer service rep had all the details on what happened and Im sure passed them along to the repair company. He ran diagnostics, said it was the drain pump which was obvious even to me, but claimed to not have one with him even though they were in stock. Cant make it back until Wednesday, so two more days with no washer. He then proceeded to tell me that the dryer had to come off (stacked on top since the washer is a front loader) before he got back, that the warranty wouldnt cover two people coming out. So Im supposed to spend more money to hire someone to come out, take off the dryer and then pay them again to come back and put it back on. I called the customer service department again and was told they dont cover installation which stacking is. She said the warranty doesnt cover stacked units, as far as I can find that isnt stated in the warranty so please let me know where that is stated in writing. So I have a just over 5-month-old washer that needs repair already (bodes well for the future doesnt it??), will be without a washer for almost a week because the repairman didnt bring the most obvious part with him (maybe wanted to be paid for two calls?) and have to pay someone else for installation so it can be fixed. So wheres the Maytag man? I am not a happy customer and will be letting as many people know as possible. Ill be in the market for other new appliances soon, will sure as hell make sure theyre not made by Maytag, Whirlpool et all.

My 2.5 year old hood range microwave stopped heating. I called repair guy, he charged $115.00 for barely a half hour and said he tightened a part and it should be fine OR the part would need to be replaced. Guess what!... That night microwave is still not heating anything. Dinos Appliance Repair is responsible to repair but Maytag doesnt stand behind its product. How do I get my money back when a repair doesnt repair anything? I wont buy Maytag again or GE.

I’ve had this new stove just over a week. Used 3 times (I just moved). I have cooked on staying already on the ceramic top. I’ve had a ceramic top stove for over 20 years with barely a mark in it. Terrible. I’ve left a message with the store with no reply.

Maytag Bravo Quiet Series 300 - I purchased the set 2.5 years ago and after 2 years, it started making a rubbing sound. I kept using it with having a family of 5 and this is why I purchased it in the first place; with 3 boys, I do a lot of laundry. It then quit working on me all together and wouldnt spin the clothes. I had a technician come out and it was the barriens that spun the drum so I had them fix it and it cost me $400. Then about a month later, it was flashing code F51 and not spinning. I had them come back out thinking it would be covered since it just got fixed but no, it cost me another $100. Now, 6 months later and here I am again unable to do laundry because its flashing F51 and wont drain or spin. I called Maytag and they tried selling me a warranty and said it wasnt recalled because there wasnt enough complaints. We need to all call and raise a ruckus. This is ridiculous. Sorry to hear everyone going through as I am.

I built a new house in 2006. As part of a builders package, we had all new stainless steel Maytag appliances installed. The side by side refrigerator compressor stopped after 26 months (of course, passed any warranty). No customer support through Maytag and as previously posted very scripted responses. Maytag microwave handle has broken off several times, the glass seal in the oven door was compromised and the inside glass is stained - most recently the on-going issue with my Maytag dishwasher model mdb5601. Ive already replaced the handle /door latch assembly twice and am confronted with the current dilemma if I should replace the control panel that now appears not to be working. It goes without saying that I will never purchase Maytag products again. However, I am not in a position to replace what are fairly new products. That being said, I am reluctant to purchase costly replacement parts given their poor performance and ratings as mentioned in this thread.

The Aqua lift cleaning system is a complete joke. Have had to replace oven light bulb 6 times in 11 months. Control panel is completely discolored. Expected far more from a Maytag product.

I would not recommend the Maytag washer with the large tub. It does not clean your clothes. I called Maytag and they do not care as long as it uses as little water as possible! Not a good value for the money!! That was the first time and last time I buy a Maytag... Thats the last $5000 they will get from us!
