I have had my Maytag Bravo for 5 years now. I originally paid 1800.00 for the set. And yes that is without the tax. Well I also got a warranty. Three years after I purchased my set my dryer stopped drying my clothes. I called the warranty company for a repair man and lo and behold my warranty is over. The repairman came and said that my lint was backed up. He stated that it was a good thing that I called when I did because they have been known to catch on fire. I asked him how is this possible? I check my lint screen and clean it after every load. He stated that the lint falls off the screen and just settles at the bottom of the dryer. And sometimes the dryer will get so hot that it will actually set the lint on fire. He fixed it but now it is back to doing the same thing two short years later. Im thinking that Maytag must know about this now and I am wondering why they havent did a recall on these before someone gets hurt or even worse by trying to do laundry.

I have always used Maytag products at home and work. I have never had a problem like this one. The front load washers have a manufacture default with the boot that allows mold to grow even when it is wiped out as instructed. I have contacted other people and they have the same problem. I will not or ever buy a front load Maytag again and could never recommend this product to anyone. I feel that the Maytag company should replace the boot with a different design; at no cost to the consumer! This machine was only a year old. I have no problem with the company I bought it from. They replaced the boot with a bill of $358.65.

Ice maker stopped making ice within first month. Repair man came out next day. Said ice maker only makes 7 cubes at a time 8 times a day. REALLY? A $2000 refrigerator only makes 50 ice cubes a day??? Why would I need a refrigerator that size if there was only one of me? Obviously, Ill be keeping a bag of ice nearby.

We have owned a number of dishwashers, some cost a great deal and some were inexpensive. Our current dishwasher is a Maytag and it has proven itself to be the best dishwasher we have ever owned, not only is it quiet, it cost less to operate and cleans all dishes and utensils excellently.

My Maytag dishwasher Model No. MDB7759AWS1 caught on fire last night, inside the control panel on the top of the door. This was very alarming as it filled the house with smoke and caused some fire damage on the bottom of the countertop also. This could have easily caused a house fire and is very disturbing. When I called Maytag, they say this model is not recalled. In my opinion it needs to be. This is a huge accident waiting to happen in other peoples homes. Please beware. If the countertop would have caught on fire entirely, the house would have gone up in flames.

Purchased new Maytag MF 2558 VEM5 for over $1000 and have had nothing but problems. Water constantly leaking on floor, ruining kitchen wall trim. Now ice maker doesnt work. Bought in 2011 and started leaking after 2012 on out of Warranty. Now in 2014 ice maker stopped working. Bought at Home Depot who refused to fix. The worse fridge I have ever had.

I called customer service to ask if there was some way that Maytag could assist me with repair of this like new dishwasher. When I said it was out of warranty and I had no additional warranty, I was told that a repairman could come out for $110 and diagnose the problem and that parts and labor would be extra. I explained that I had purchased Maytag because I saw commercials, for years, showing that Maytag repairmen had no work. She was very unhelpful and kept droning the same mantra, that a repairman could come out for the above charge. I was very angry and asked for the name and address of the President of Maytag so I could send a letter of complaint. I composed a letter, however: it is Thanksgiving time and I need my dishwasher so I made an appointment to have it repaired. I was told he would be out Mon. between 8 and 5. I asked for a more specific time and was told that I would get a call on Sat. with the time. Thankfully, no call came, because on Sunday, I read the reviews on this site and realized that Maytag was no longer a reliable nor a responsible company and I decided to save myself money and time and stress and just go out and buy a GE. So we will hand wash the dishes on Thanksgiving and buy a GE on Black Friday. This does not mean that I am letting Maytag off the hook. I intend to send my letter to Jeff Fettig at Maytag and also join in the class action suit. How very sad that the name Maytag has become just a name used to shill for defective and shoddy merchandise.

MFI2568AES - Last night we woke up because of a noise coming due to continuous snapping of the waterline against the walls of the refrigerator as well as a wall of the house structure itself. Very loud noise. I pulled the refrigerator, went behind it, and shut off the waterline. That stopped the noise and allowed me to go back to sleep. However, need your help to resolve this issue. I will appreciate if you can offer me pointers and guidance.

The stove functions are excellent and the temperature of the burners and oven causes the food to cook even. However after about 6 months the heat from the burners causes the coating on the stovetop to burn like its baking and it cant be cleaned. Now the coating around the burners is horrible and burnt.

Im extremely disappointed in this machine. I bought this machine after having my Kitchen Aid for 12 yrs. Just last month, the UL message came on. Had someone looked at it and noticed the bearing was loose. He fixed it, just today, it started doing the same thing again!!!!! Now it might be a suspension problem. Of course my warranty expired because I bought it in November 2012. Im never ever going to buy a Maytag washer again!!! Can someone help me to take my complaint to higher up?Thank you..

I bought a high capacity Maytag Bravos washing machine, thinking it would be better than the ones that shred your clothes around the center post. Wrong. You still have to wrap your clothes around the edges as if there were a post, and even then the machine will become unbalanced (after much thumping and crashing), causing it to stop, which forces you to redistribute the weight, sometimes several times in one load of wash! I called the company and got nowhere -- I wont say nowhere fast because it took forever to get nowhere. I do not recommend this machine.

After purchasing this washer in 2007, the washer started to smell like sewage. At first we werent sure it was the washer and had a company come out to check the pipes. After this and calling Maytag complaining without any luck. We were told to buy affresh tablets and run it through the washer once a month. This last only so long and the smell comes back. Now when the washer goes into the spin cycle it sounds horrible. Again called Maytag without getting any resolve. I will never buy a Maytag again!

Nice refrigerator, but cheaply made. I paid 1800 with tax for my french door Maytag and expected higher durability. It operates well but one worries about breaking drawers made of such thin plastic.

I also bought a Maytag Neptune MAH5500BWW and matching dryer model #MDG5500AWW in 2001 and within a month, I called Sears and Maytag. I told them about the terrible odor and mold growing. The repairman said it is normal and told me to use Tide detergent once every two weeks. The dryer had a major breakdown and I had to buy a whole header with all the electrical components. I too bought the brand name Maytag due to a good reputation that Maytag had. I never received a recall notice or anything from Maytag. I will never buy Maytag products again. I found out from a salesperson at Sears that Maytag was sold to Whirlpool. The salesperson said the reviews are terrible for Maytag products especially for my models. I will never buy from Sears, etc. What can you do for me? Maytag and Whirlpool need to take their responsibility for their products! I am truly lucky I did not buy a plane from them. I and a lot of people would be dead.

I have to rewash many load of dark clothing because pale white smears appear on the clothing most times. Ive tried various cleaning methods to try to remove any residue that might be in the walls of the tub. Unfortunately, I cant afford to replace the Maytag white elephant model 500XWZ, serial C31430894. I no longer have the receipt. Buyer, beware. No Maytags in my future.

Purchased less than a year ago, Machine stopped working. Approved service company says no error codes visible must be ok. Machine still does not work month later, service again does not show up for call, following month same. Its still in warranty but they claim it is fine. Error code disappear right after popping-up no storage of error codes.. I had to buy small washer to manage home. Really bad choice of product. Will not use this brand again.

I purchased a Maytag Bravos HE top load washing machine from Sears in 2011. In January 2015, the machine stops at the spin cycle and wont continue the full process. The lid light comes on and blinks red. The machine made a loud grinding noise. A technician from Sears has been to my home 4 times in a month but unable to fix the problem. I have to take my clothes to the outside laundry. I have a protection warranty but it ends in a week. Im frustrated. Maytag Bravos sucks.

Our Maytag Bravo washer provided so little water, that our clothes were rarely clean. My husbands jeans gradually developed stains around the knees that never came out, and his white underwear & socks didnt come clean either. After about 3 years, the spin cycle developed a loud sound, like a jet taking off, which was so loud and forceful, it sounded like it was literally going to spin out of the machine. We got rid of the Maytag Bravo after 6-7 years, and Darryls jeans and underwear were clean after two washings. All heavy items, such as blankets, have to be watched over because they always get out of balance several times a wash. We kept the Maytag Bravo, although it wasnt great, and didnt dry clothes completely. These are not machines that you can put clothes in, and just walk away. You have to babysit your laundry.

Purchased a Maytag front loader and matching dryer in Sears and have had nothing but problems with both since the beginning. Now that the warranty has run out we have even more problems and doing laundry has become stressful. Big lemons. Wish I had kept my Kenmore units. Now looking into reviews for other brands, may go back to the Kenmore brand too. NOTHING can be as bad as Maytag.

I bought my fridge (Maytag French Door Fridge MFF2258VEW) in September 2009. It took forever to get it and when it was delivered, the door was dented so I had to wait for a new door to be replaced. The fridge stopped cooling just before Thanksgiving 2011. I had to throw out a lot of food. It was the circuit board and that was covered under the warranty. I noticed a couple of months later that the freezer was freezing up again and was worried that the fridge would go out again and in February 2012, they came out again and it turned out that the freezer had been put back incorrectly and the freezer gasket didnt fit right and thus, the freezing up on the circuit board. Now it is May 21, 2012, and I came home for lunch to find the fridge not working again! I cant get anyone out to fix it until Wednesday, the 23rd. Now we are in warm weather and I just went to the store and had a full fridge. I still have the warranty and will for another 14 months. I think if this continues to happen and when the warranty is up, we will have to replace this fridge. I can tell you for sure that it will not be another Maytag! What a piece of junk!

Add me to the long list of disgruntled buyers of a Maytag Dishwasher. Just like the other 488 people that similarly filed an unsatisfactory rating on this site I too am now on that list. And no surprise - the control panel ceased to function 13 months after I purchased the unit and one month after the manufacturers warranty expired. After brief inspection the problem was obviously a design error leading to premature wear of the electric ribbon in the handle. Phoned Maytag and they advised me it was the first theyd heard of this problem with the model. Only subsequently did I search to discover that the problem was so common it might be characterised as routine. Replace part was 8 weeks and Cdn $153, about 2x the US price. However they wouldnt ship it to me from the US. The repair isnt too difficult: 11 screws and a little patience if youre so inclined. Before installing take a few minutes to trim the plastic where the electronic ribbon strip passes from through the handle without clearance. Save yourself the same repair in another 13 months. Lesson learned - no more Maytag/Whirlpool dishwashers for us.

My less then 6 month old washer presented an error code and stopped working in mid November 2021, so I contacted Maytag and they sent a service man out to my house. The service man was distraught and said it the washing machine had catastrophic failure - they would order the parts and get it repaired. Early January I still had heard nothing, So I again contacted Maytag and they had no answer.On January 26th I finally received an email saying due to parts on backorder I had been approved a new washer and JB Hunt would be handling the delivery and disposal of the original washer. On Feb. 07 - I contact Maytag, yet again, due to not hearing anything for almost 2 weeks - They stated that the request was not submitted properly and it would be another 5 days before a representative would be in contact with me. I am currently still paying on this brand new washer that does not work on top of 4 + months of laundromat fees due to not having a functioning washing machine and I am nowhere closer than I was mid November to a solution for this washing machine. I would NEVER recommend Maytag to anyone!!

Called Maytag. Was part of 2005 recall with Neptune Maytag washer. We did not realize it and now Maytag will not do anything. Now having dryer issues with a cracked drum. Called and there was no resolution or attempt to resolve.

I purchased this Maytag washer/dryer set in February 2017 and I am very, very happy with it. This is a brand that has proven dependable for more than 80+ years. This is a low water washer that saves money on energy bills. I love the extra large capacity and was very concerned how well it would clean without an agitator. But having confidence in the name, which is why I purchased this set, I was very pleased with the cleaning power. The only disadvantage I see is with the soak cycle which is timed. I would like to have an option to soak indefinitely. So if you are trying to remove blood stains, you may have to use the soak cycle a few times before all the blood is removed. (Assuming that you are only using cold water and no additives.)

Purchased a maytag washer last yr. and I feel it is the worst washer I have ever dealt with. I hate that every time I wash somethings they come out with lint all over them and they are the same things I have washed before and never had the problem, plus I hate the cover locks so you cant put water in before you put soap in.

Purchased Maytag dishwasher model # MDBH979SAM1 on February 8, 2014. 6 months in paint came off door. Added 5 year extended warranty on 4/21/2015. Dishwasher started not working properly on 9/24/2015. Hit one button but a different would light up until finally on 10/2/2015 it quit working. Called for service On 10/2/2015 10:30 pm no answer. Tried again on 10/3/15 same answer. Tried again on 10-5-15 finally answered and they called repairman. No answer but they gave me his number so I could call him if he didnt call. Finally called him and He told me he was busy and could not come repair my dishwasher. I called MaytagNed they said he would come. When I called he said he was not coming. He had truck trouble. 10-12-15 Called Maytag back and they said they would find another repairman. They would call me back. Into 2 weeks waiting on appointment. I will never buy Maytag again. It didnt clean dishes good when it did work!

My daughter purchased this washer and matching dryer as a set from Lowes about 4 years ago. It was one of the few with an agitator and that is what she wanted. After using the washer for the first time she was very disappointed to find that the shortest cycle took over an hour and that the locking lid feature couldnt be bypassed. A few weeks ago the washer began gushing water onto the floor which flooded the basement below. She had purchased an extended warranty which was due to expire the following week.She called Lowes and scheduled a repairman. He finally came 2 weeks later and used the Internet to help him diagnose the problem!!! We could have done that. He decided that the control panel was only allowing the agitator to turn in one direction during the wash cycle. So essentially it was spinning a tub full of clothes and water causing lots of water to overflow the tub onto the floor. Needless-to-say he had to order a part and cant return for over 2 weeks to install it. IF this is even the problem! He also said he couldnt disable the locking lid feature! If my daughter had been able to open the lid when the problem started she would have known more about it.We are thankful her machine was under warranty but she will have been without a machine for almost 2 months when and if it is fixed. This is completely unsatisfactory for a gently used 4 year old washer. The dryer takes forever to dry also. If you are buying Maytag based on how long your grandmothers machine lasted, you will be disappointed! This washer caused so much damage we had to file a homeowners insurance claim!

Nineteen months in a home of empty nesters and the darn thing is a game of trying to outwit its electronics. We live a long way from town, which makes service calls a high dollar thing. I have spent considerable time this weekend trying to cipher its moods and order parts. This washer was purchased on an invalid reputation. Others beware.

We bought this Maytag Bravos XL machine in Sept 2016. It has never cleaned the clothes properly, you cant even tell they have been washed! It also shakes a lot. In January it shook so much it knocked a hose off, flooded my kitchen and downstairs bedroom. Home insurance had to pay to replace the kitchen floor and downstairs ceiling. We contacted Maytag. They said they dont have a repair person in our area. Home Depot wont take it back. We are stuck with no workable machine. We have to go to the laundromat and pay 70 a week for laundry, plus the time, and we are out all the money. We paid Home Depot (thousands) for a washer and matching dryer. Plus all the takeout we had to order while they repaired the kitchen, but the strain of this whole thing is ridiculous.

Bought Maytag Electronic Washer and Dryer on Feb. 7th 2020. On July 10th control board went out in dryer. 3 weeks without a dryer and hanging clothes in 112-118 degree weather in Arizona. I am 77 years old and too old for this. Dont buy Maytag!!. Had Whirlpool Washer and Dryer for 22 years. Never a problem, regret buying a Maytag.

Maytag Bravos quiet series 300 - We have had this washing machine for approx. 2 years and there is rust marking around the opening of the spout where the bleach is poured into. We also find that we have to do the clean cycle quite often. And it bounces and make a loud noise if there is not enough clothing in it… even on the bulky cycle. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT TO ANYONE! And we have been loyal purchasers for 40 plus years!

My husband and I bought a Maytag dishwasher, Stove and Fridge. We were very reluctant because at our prior home we had Maytag appliances and they kept going out. Against our better judgement when we moved into our new home we decided to go with Maytag once again. First the dishwasher front panel stopped working. We had it replaced and it cost over 250.00 with replacement part and labor. Not a week later went by when our Fridge went out, that cost us another 300.00 plus to fix. Keep in mind we had only had these appliances for about 14 months. Less than a year of replacing the dishwasher panel it has gone out again. This is very frustrating and expensive. I dont usually write comments, but felt the public needed to know that Maytag has poorly made appliances. I recommend you spend the extra couple of hundred bucks and buy the better brands and warranties. Thank you.

After everything posted here why would anyone take a chance buying any Whirlpool product including all subsidiaries. I made the mistake of buying a Maytag washer and dryer less than 3 yrs ago. There are only 2 people in the household and we only wash linens, towels and undergarments- the rest goes for dry cleaning. The washer stopped filling with water, similar to what was posted by another customer. Maytag customer service was 2 weeks out.When the service tech arrived he diagnosed the problem as a faulty water value but didn’t have the part- another week. I asked the tech why it takes 2 weeks to get someone out for a service call- he told me that there were 4 techs working the area but 2 quit and they were never replaced. The tech went on to say that he was leaving because of the misdirected grief he gets from customers because “the Whirlpool brand is crap”, it takes to long to get service and usually the cost is more than the appliance is worth- and they take it out on him. That is not hard to understand.Bottom line- IF THE SERVICE TECH IS TELLING YOU THE BRAND IS “CRAP” what else do you need to know. FYI- Maytag repairman quoted a new water valve at $70, labor $150 for a total of $230. I paid $600 for the machine- is this a joke? The exact same part was available on Amazon for $43 and was delivered in a day. With the help of a YouTube video I replaced the part in 10mins. On top of the fact that the appliance is crap, it would have taken 3 weeks to get fixed- Maytag is also screwing customers with overpriced parts that shouldn’t have to be replaced in the first place- fair warning, STAY AWAY.

Dryer doesn’t dry any size load in one cycle regardless of settings. Mysteriously, it triggers a message to check the lint filter and line when running a small load with nothing blocking the venting system. It never happens on large loads which would block more of the air flow. You could get a comparably sized dryer for much less. This not the premium product that you pay for.

My Maytag dishwasher (MDB7749AWM) stopped working at only 15 months. I had a technician check it and he said its the control panel not responding after he opened the door panel. Its when I searched online for replacement part I learned about the defective control panel. So I decided to forgo repair and bought a new dishwasher. I feel the manufacturer should be held responsible and called the number found on the internet, 858-646-8500, about a class action lawsuit filed in California federal court. The lawyer handling the case called me back that day explaining to me its a long road before the case qualifies for class lawsuit. Because I live in Texas, he will need someone to represent Texas plaintiffs in order to include Texas in the national settlement down the road. I said, I dont expect anything but would like to see a class action. Since I have no use of the defective dishwasher, he asked if I am willing to send the machine to him at his expense. I said yes. For all of you complaining about the defective dishwasher, I suggest you to call the number to join the lawsuit. Even though we may not see a penny for long, long time, its the only way to punish the deceptive business.

Barbara ** purchased a Maytag Bravos X washer. The washer did not perform anywhere near the advertised and EXPECTED performance. A letter was written to the Maytag Customer Center on July 12, 2014 complaining about the washers inability to clean or rinse clothes effectively. As of this date we have had NO direct contact from Maytag. After reading many reviews and noting that I have seen over 700 people which had issues with this machine, I wish that I had never purchased from Maytag. I have had to purchase a new machine to replace this useless Maytag. When I ask a used appliance dealer if he would be interested in purchasing my Maytag Bravos, his reply was, I dont want any Maytag Bravos in my store.I have made an effort to obtain some type of satisfaction from Maytag, but to no avail. I would like 100% refund for this purchase. If Maytag does not meet the expectations of its customers, then I feel that a class action law suit should be started through consumer affairs. When you cant even get a used appliance dealer to purchase a used Maytag Bravos, then there is a real problem with the product. The purchase price was $616.55. A total waste!!

I purchased a topload washer two years ago and the plastic lid has been replaced 4 times because it cracks at the hinges. It is obviously a manufacturers defect that Maytag refuses to admit. They come up with excuses blaming the consumer instead of their bad design.

Our Maytag lint trap started falling apart a few months after we received it. Call Customer Service to get a replacement due to the product being faulty. The answer that I got from Customer Service: We sell you a new one. Poor customer service, faulty product. Dont buy dryer from Maytag.

I installed a new Maytag Wall Oven Microwave Combo 18 months ago. I had not used the microwave in over a week. Last night, we heard a loud pop and realized the beauty glass front on the microwave had shattered. No one had closed the door too hard, in fact, we had not used it. I see where others have had this problem.

We purchased a Maytag Centennial washing machine from a local business here in Knoxville in 2013. My previous Maytag lasted seven+ years and I was very happy with it. It began to leak water and after two times of having water on the floor, we decided it had worn out and purchased another washer. We immediately wanted another Maytag since our previous one has lasted for quite a while. We bought the new Maytag Centennial washing machine in the Spring of 2011. This is May of 2013 and we have had to purchase another washing machine since the electrical board in ours went out. The replacement part is listed at $300+ and that is without labor to install. Needless to say, I am very unhappy that I have had to purchase another washer so soon... and did not buy a Maytag this time.

After 30 months of light use.... two adults in the house, the top of the machine at the ports that allow adding fabric softener and bleach have rusted in a severe way. The machine is rusting away and Maytag customer service will say nothing except, it is out of warranty. I am very sad that I purchased a $719 washer that is falling apart with scant use.... Maytag no longer stands behind the product and I will never buy another one of their appliances again!

We purchased a 3K Maytag refrigerator/freezer and purchased an extended warranty as well. 5 months later the ice machine stopped working. We called Maytag to get it repaired since its under the 1 yr factory warranty and they sent an appliance service company they contract with to repair it. 6 service calls and two months later its still not repaired. I called Maytag back to say if you cant fix it please replace it. They say it needs to be deemed not repairable to even consider replacement and that they would send out a different repair company. As of yesterday (9/(9/14) another month and a half and 5 trips from the second repair company and it still does not work, so I call Maytag again to complain and they give me the same line ....needs to be deemed unrepairable... How long and how many service calls does it take to fix a ice maker? How much work and how many hours do I need to miss to get what I paid for? I went to their website and it talks about how their mission statement is customer service etc, etc, etc..... Thats just a bunch of lip service and judging by the HUNDREDS of complaints I have read this is their standard method of operation.... I for one will not let this go and will be filing a claim in small claims court to get what I paid for..... BE WARNED if you are looking to purchase a appliance.

I purchased this washer January 2020. Bravos XL model# MVWB830DW5 is the worst washing machine ever. Does not clean your clothes, leaves soap residue on your clothes. Clothes aren’t fully submerged in water for the wash or rinse cycles. Do not waste your money. You will be highly disappointed.

I had purchased a Maytag Front Load Washer Model no. MHWE300VW00 in 2009. Now the rear tub, basket, and belt are gone. I will never purchase another Maytag product and would not recommend them to anyone.

My Maytag model MDB7749AWWI was purchased from Home Depot on March 10, 2011. On July 12, 2012, my dishwasher would not start. I had out of town guests and then the repair person was out of town, so I did not get anyone out to look at it until July 31. He stated that we had bad controls. The parts would be approximately $420.61. He could not get any parts because everyone was out of this part. Does that mean that all the dishwashers of this model number are broken? Is there a recall? This is unreal. When I was asked if I wanted extended warranty, I said no. If I needed an extended warranty, the equipment must be junk. Well, I needed the extended warranty. It is junk! I will never, never, never purchase another Maytag appliance as long as I live!

MDB77495852 - I purchased a brand new Maytag dishwasher 2 years ago from Sears. A year later it broke down with what was apparent moisture in the control panel. Thankfully it was covered under warranty. Well guess what... it broke down again a year later and now just missed a year. But not it matters, the retailer (Sears) said it was not covered so Im supposed to pay about $300.00 to get it repaired. And figure I will have to do so next year also. I was told there is a Lemon Law for appliances but it does not kick in for 4 years. So after $900 in repairs I could get a replacement... REALLY? I think a recall is in order!

Please let me know if there is a class action suit. This refrigerator leaks water all my floor every three days or so. I have to chip the ice off the bottom of freezer every three or four days. Storage is also a joke. Poor design.

Oven door glass shatters after 6 years of having this oven and the company refuses to cover it. According to them it is not a safety concern. It is actually designed to shatter this way. Wow, thats comforting. Should be 0 stars not 1 star.

Bought this Maytag Bravos Washer online from Lowe’s in the holiday season of December 2017 because my previous Maytag HE washer broke after 17 years. I have had nothing but issues with this washer right from the start. The clothes do not come clean as I find myself putting them through the wash cycle two or three times to have them washed and come somewhat clean. The clothes come out soaking wet that I have to put them through the rinse and spin cycle at least one or two more times. I called Lowe’s to complain about this washer and they said they only have a 30 day return policy and they would be happy to call for service for me. I told them it didn’t work from the start but they didn’t care. So now, sadly, I have a repairman coming this week to fix my new washer, And hopefully he can fix it that I can use it and it can properly wash clothes. I wish I would have her read the reviews on Consumer Affairs about this washer before purchasing this Maytag. Not happy with Maytag. I would have never bought it and bought a different brand. Codes appear on the face of the washer better. Nowhere in the manual that I had to personally download myself because it didn’t come with one. And oh did I mention that I need a step ladder to reach into the bottom of the tub? This washer should come yellow because it is definitely a lemon!

I bought a Maytag Bravo washer 11 months ago, and I have had nothing but trouble with it. I have had it worked on twice, and now, Sears is sending me a new one, because it is broken again. I would rather have my money back, go somewhere else, and get a new washer. I will never buy anything from Sears again. They could not send a person out for other repairs for 1 week. Then they would have to send out for parts, because the drum is peeling on the tops. So that means more time to wait for parts to come in, and the machine is not spinning out. The cycles are not washing right; sometimes, they wash a cycle 2 times.Sears does nothing but give you a runaround. And the Morrisville Vt. store manager is so rude. He was talking to me like I was stupid. Now, I have to wait 3 more days before a washer comes in from the warehouse after Sears told me it was coming on 4/24 between 9:45-11:45. Then the manager told me I could take the floor model if I want it today, which has scratches on it. I was hoping someday to buy the dryer to match the washer. But now, I do not want anything to do with the brand. I bought a Maytag refrigerator also last year. Its beautiful. Everything is in my kitchen, and I have been working on getting everything to match. I am raising my 2 grandchildren and am on a fixed income. They treat people awfully at Sears, and it is too bad Maytag works with them.

I purchased this new Maytag washer (Model # MVWC300XW, Serial # 12621033) from Hahn Appliance Warehouse in Oklahoma City, OK 73107 on November 23, 2011. It is less than six months old, and the transmission has gone out. Hahn advised me that they had to go through Maytag Service, and they would only replace the part. I contacted Maytag/Whirlpool Service Corp. directly and spoke with a manager named David, who informed me he was sorry but would not authorize a refund or exchange for a better product because this was the first service call. I am very dissatisfied with this product and with the service standards that Whirlpool/Maytag offers on their products. If I were to sell a product that I knew has had numerous complaints, I would pull that product from my line offering and make either a full refund or replace with a higher level service product.

The lonely salesman in the Maytag commercial for their washing machines says it all. The first Maytag washer we owned we used for 20 years and during that time had only a belt break one time which we replaced and used for a few more years. We then moved to a new home in 2006 and decided to purchase a new Maytag.

Worst Washer ever...hated it from day one of receiving it (but couldnt return because moving into new place, took awhile to get it installed, and by then the 30 day return window had lapsed, so now stuck with this piece of garbage!). Is ALWAYS off balance whenever you wash anything of weight (i.e.: towels, sheets, blankets etc.). It takes me close to 2 hrs to get these items washed because I have to keep starting and stopping it to try to get it to spin dry because it ALWAYS throws the items so is off bal. and wont spin. Then when you hit pause, adj. bal., & start it again, it starts REWASHING the items (instead of continuing on from where you left off), and sometimes when it cant balance in the spinning cycle it just shuts down making you think the full cycle is complete, only to open up the lid to find your clothes all sopping wet. Also, NONE of the cycles will get any of my clothes clean...it just uses so little water your clothes come out feeling grungy and still dirty. I have had to resort to ONLY using the BULKY cycle because it is the ONLY cycle that will use a higher water level (mainly because bulky items like towels will absorb the water so it needs to add more). With this cycle at least my clothes dont FEEL dirty when they are done washing!There is no way of knowing how much time is left on any of the cycles, which is a real problem when you have to start and stop it, because you really have no idea how far back it goes to start itself up all over again. There is just no way to time it, because it keeps messing up where you have to keep stopping/starting it, and then you have no idea of time frame. Never saw a machine built so UNUSER friendly!I will NEVER buy a MAYTAG washer again, and NEVER will I buy a washer unless it HAS the center agitator, and a control for water level. These HE washers are the worst, and unfortunately they are now the only washers being made, but without water, clothes just DO NOT ever get clean anymore no matter which fancy and expensive detergent you use. HE washers are HORRIFIC. I may just buy an old style used washer with the agitator... at least I wont be wasting energy to only wind up with STILL dirty clothes when using HE washers! FINAL NOTE: AVOID Maytag HE Washers at ALL COST! You will be sorry if you decide to purchase one!

We bought a Bravos washer 13 months ago and its been problem after problem. We had 6 service calls and the problems continue. From bearings being replaced to sensors to error codes, and now the washer drips water. This is the worst washer I ever owned.

We bought our beautiful Maytag refrigerator model MFI2568AES at our local Home Depot approx. 4 to 5 years ago. The refrigerator stopped cooling last week and we had just renewed the warranty for 3 years. The service repair stated that the problem was not covered (internal corrosion) and they could not do anything for us. Is this how long Maytag refrigerators last? Home Depot was also not willing to do anything for us. Were very upset and disappointed and using ice chests for now.

This is a Maytag Neptune MAH8700AWW. This machine has been repaired a couple of times already and it has a will of its own. When it goes into that fast spin cycle that will kicks in and it starts moving. I wonder if someday its going to attack me. So, last Friday night we put a load in and it went into that fast spin cycle. It was making a noise like an elephant in labor so I looked in the laundry room.... Clouds of smoke were billowing out of the top of the machine. Our house will filling up with washing machine smoke! My husband stopped it, but I think it was a gnats hair close to bursting into flames. He looked into the front of the machine when the smoke dissipated and the entire gasket was in shreds. No more Maytag. Never. Im done.

I started hearing the Maytag Microwave MMV4203DW00 beeping this morning after breakfast. I had not used it since the night before to heat up soup in a Corning Ware bowl. Its doing that 5E thing and nothing on the control panel works. Ive unplugged it, waited, plugged it back in and the same thing. It starts off saying Select Clock and 5E and then stops on the 5E. I bought this in Aug. 2010 and it is vented out the wall. Of course, that doesnt work now. The metal rack has never been put in it. Im single and the only one who uses it and I dont use it very much either. And this model only got the one 40-watt regular bulb over the range - lousy. And it doesnt work now either. And the control panel lights up orange. Had I known that, I would have never bought it in the first place. Of course, the stupid orange 5E lights up. Im unplugging it for good. Its not worth fixing. Do not buy this microwave!

I purchased the Maytag Bravo model MGDB950YG on April 22, 2012. It worked great for a while then stopped heating and drying the clothes. After going through the Maytag procedure, a repair person assessed the problem, had to order the part then came back to repair it. But the same thing just happened again! Both Maytag and HHGregg need to go through the appropriate procedures, which leaves me without a dryer for who knows how long this time. Maytag will not do next day service probably because it costs them a little more. I think Maytag should have enough common sense to sometimes make exception to this. Today is Thursday and I cant get an appointment until Monday! I have owned two dryers prior to this which each lasted 10 years plus. I would be much more understanding if I had my appliance for more than 4 months (out of commission 2-3 weeks of the 4 months). Ive never been so disappointed in an appliance!

I purchased this Atlantis dryer several years ago. To this day, I have replaced the rollers and drum three times. What a piece of junk! This will be the last Maytag I ever own.

What a disappointment. I guess this is why we no longer see that commercial about the Maytag repairman being bored. Because now, he is out fixing these pieces of shirt. Maytag washer Model #: MVWX655DW - I purchased this machine at Lowes in May of 2016. Always was a loud machine but seemed to work ok. In April 2018 the machine stopped working correctly. The spin cycle would lock up and not finish leaving clothes soaked. Called Lowes and waited for their repairman. He came and said it was the clutch and drive motor. Repair is over $400. Machine is worthless. Huge mistake. Never buy a Maytag. I called Maytag to see if they would warranty it. They basically said, Sorry only a one-year warranty on it. I told them the reason I bought it was it had 10-year warranty on it. They said only certain parts but its the drive motor that is clearly marked on the machine that has the 10-year warranty. I was told, No sorry. What huge waste of money. I am out close to $600 and Lowes only give you a store credit with their protection plan.The credit is not enough to purchase another machine without more out of pocket expenses. I will never buy another Maytag and I would not recommend anyone else does. Their warranty is a huge joke. Their customer service is terrible. Maytag should not even bother sticking the 10-year drive motor warranty on their machines. They do not honor it. My advice do not even consider buying one. You will be out the money and be purchasing a new machine within two years.

I purchased a dishwasher and stove from Home Depot. Stove has already been replaced twice because of faulty manufacturing and now the dishwasher, after 1 1/2 years no longer works due to the control panel. I called a repair representative of Whirlpool/Maytag and explained the circumstances. Their own customer service people indicate that it is cheaper to replace a product then it is to repair it. Shame on Maytag and Whirlpool that they move their companies to countries outside of the United States and they no longer stand behind their product. Shame on them that what use to be the best product around is no longer worth paper you print on. I will no longer purchase any product from Maytag, Whirlpool or Home Depot since they all seem to line their pockets from products they know wont last. One mouth is worth a thousand complaints and I plan on screaming from the rooftops!

Our Maytag refrigerator that is two years old has been nothing but issues just after the warranty expired. Ice maker is broken and it started having the temp alarm go off every few weeks and now every few days. It was a 1800 dollar purchase and no one has been helpful where we bought it nor has Maytag. I bought my Maytag Dishwasher (mdbh979aww3) about two years ago and just last week, the control buttons on the right stopped working. I see on this site that someone else had the same problem and explained that the wires got corroded, so now Im not sure I even want to replace the part when it only worked for 2 years. Now Im stuck buying a new dishwasher.

Every appliance in my kitchen is Maytag. I went with Maytag because its made in America and now Im annoyed. The microwave died after about 5 years and since I had a spare, I have yet to repair it. I am just now removing the panel to see whats going on in the inside so I can replace whatever broken part is broken. The double oven I have Ive had to repair twice. Once I had to replace a capacitor on the board because it blew. It cost me zero to replace it as I have an old home theater system I part out. The next item was the control pad itself which I tried to repair but had to replace for $200. The dishwasher died after 6 years of use and after replacing the control pad (couldnt be repaired), it still didnt work. And I got a replacement from my wifes dad who was moving and had to get rid of his. Ultimate timing. I purchased a Maytag refrigerator instead of a Samsung like an idiot (which I suppose I am at this point). The fridge leaks water because the drain plug is jammed and it will take a lot of work to get back there to unjam it. I think Maytag wants to sell you expensive parts that are doomed to break after a couple years of normal use. They want to send repair guys out to your house to charge you to fix their junk. I cant wait to move and buy all Samsung products and do away with this Maytag relationship once and for all.

Duck bill valve for defrost water from freezer malfunctions, water flows into freezer freezes, then eventually overflows onto floor. Huge problem for folks with wood floors. Also a slip/fall danger especially for the elderly. When the repair line is contacted, they deny the problem and say you are the only one. But if you do your research, you find there are hundreds of complaints and in November 2013 they issue a service bulletin, but its internal, not meant for consumers to find out. So if you have this problem, go to the Consumer Product Safety Commission and fill out a complaint. Maybe then something may come of it.

I am very dissatisfied with this Maytag Gemini oven Ive had it for 4yrs. It has been in the shop twice for the same problem. Temperature control. It is down again for the same thing temperature control. The repairman, who I had to look at it, says the bill will be over $500.00. I paid $1300.00 for this stove. I cant afford to put any more money in this stove. I had to pay $100.00 for repairman to tell me this. The model # met8665xw02 serial#D30522404. Is there a recall on this stove? There should be. I sold Maytag products for several years at Circuit City. I always pushed Maytag instead of another brand. I believed in Maytag. The repairman hasnt been lonely to me.

This oven has been used so very seldom that I didnt feel I could rate it until now. We use the oven 1-2 times a week since purchasing it in March of 2018. There hadnt been any reason to use the Self Cleaning part of the oven until last week. I have had a oven with self-cleaning for 20 years and the oven went out so we purchased this one because of its sleek look and features. However last week I decided to use the self-cleaning setting on it and came home after being gone all day to find that the house smelled like it had a fire burning in it. I ran to the oven to find the whole inside cover in a white powdery substance. It looked like a snow blizzard had gone on inside of it. I was use to a small amount of white residue being inside the oven after it finished and it just wiped right up. We spent hours vacuuming it out then scrubbing it down with vinegar water and a sponge with a scouring pad on it. The casserole spill was still on the bottom, most of the enamel is gone and the glass will not clean off. I did not use any chemicals in the oven prior to turning it to the self-clean mode, I believe that it overheated and burnt the enamel off and distorted the glass. Whirlpool offered to send me a cleaning kit. I told them that would do no good. I had already scrubbed and used a razor blade to try and clean the bottom and the glass and them sending me different cleaning supplies would not fix the fact that 80% of the inside protective coating on the oven is gone. Now it is a porous surface. A Serviceman was scheduled and he called prior to arrival today and asked me to explain what was going on with my oven. I explained and he said I can almost guarantee that Whirlpool will say that it is cosmetic and they only cover cosmetic for 3 months and that I will have to pay for a $100.00 service call. This is a load of crap. This coating is part of the oven to keep it clean and protect the metal from the high heat of baking in it. This is not cosmetic feature like the outside stainless steel finish or the black trim decor. The inside doesnt look pretty. It is a function. See the photos below. Whirlpool Range Item # 805150. I bought my Maytag in 2013. It worked fine at first but for the last year it isnt getting clothes clean. In fact, some look like theyve never been washed. I have to run the rinse cycle 2-3 times and they still seem somewhat soapy. The washer still leaves clothes drippy after running the spin cycle. It takes 2-3 hours to complete a small load. I wish I had my old Kenmore back. It worked fine for nearly 20 years!

After only 2 years my microwave stopped working. Now I can purchase a new warranty which is just as much as a new microwave, have somebody come out and fix it, or pay a service charge which is just under $100 and does not include labor and parts. I figured out now why nobody calls the Maytag repairman. We cant afford it!

I have written to Whirlpool about complaints with this range and was very dissatisfied with response. The following were complaints on above range: Range does not have a light on it as the past ranges had. It is very much needed. Grates on burner are to high, therefore it takes longer for items in pot to heat up. Type of steel used on range is very thin and tiny, in other words very poor quality. This is what has happened since Whirlpool bought out Maytag. Quality of Steel that Maytag used is no longer since Whirlpool took over their products. This is true of All their Appliances (Refrigerators, Washers, Dryers, and Ranges). All meaning appliances manufactured by Whirlpool.Manual knobs for turning on oven have been replaced by touch screens, these eventually wear out and are very costly to replace. If it works why change it. Drawers on bottom of range used to be larger, now they are narrow and smaller height wise. Residue on base of burner appears quite frequently and has to be cleaned even if no overspills occur. And why cant Whirlpool make quality merchandise as good as Maytag use to make. Regarding the physical appearance of Range it is very attractive in looks, however Looking good and functioning poorly with inadequate materials used in construction of Appliances outweighs benefits of looking good. My wife and I regret not returning this appliance within 90 days of purchase. In the future we will not purchase Whirlpool or any other appliances manufactured by them if that is possible. Kenmore, LG and perhaps other appliances parts are made by Whirlpool. I received a response from Jake **, Whirlpool Corporation, Executive Office. The Comment from Jake that did not impress me was this: While we regret you are dissatisfied with the current design of your Maytag Range, this is the model that you selected. His comment says too bad better luck next time. This washing machine just sprinkles water on your clothes then ties them up in knots. And to add insult to injury, needs repairing every year or so. Horrible! It does have a couple of redeeming qualities, but they definitely dont outweigh the cons. It spins the clothes quite dry and has a large capacity. I have dogs and kids who play football and a husband who does construction, and its not unusual to find lumps of dirt and fur trapped in an article of clothing or blanket. All my bras and sweaters get ruined, it twists them up horribly. The blankets and sheets end up in a mushroom shape. Sad to say, NOT good. I like Maytag, but not BRAVOS.

Maytag washer not draining properly. Called Aug 15 for help. First tech in on August 23, makes a diagnosis, orders part; no news, I call, am given Sep 15 as next date. Come 9/15, I take off from work, only to find out tech cannot come that day, to reschedule. Next tech comes 9/25 with a different diagnosis and different part to order. By October 3, an announcement that part came in, to make an appointment. By now, its been a month and a half, I am so angry. I call a friend, who fixes it in 15 minutes by simply clearing a clogged drain filter. This is unacceptable: the inordinate wait, incompetent techs, unresponsiveness from customer service. I cancelled my contract with Maytag Warranty/AIG.

Maytag 2000 series front load washer - f you are looking for a front load washer DO NOT buy a Maytag! I purchased a new front load washer dryer set late 2013 and have regretted to washer ever since. Continual electrical problems, door gasket needed replaced almost immediately AND the worst part is that it has ruined over $1000 worth of clothing due to it trapping cloth between the drum and door and wearing holes in them. No matter how I load the clothes or sort them it continues. I have contacted Maytag and was told I have no recourse as the warranty is over. I was very disappointed because I have had Maytag products in the past and had no problems. Please, think twice before buying this washer! It will cost much more than just the ticket price!!!

The freezer will frost up and the shelves will not move. Repairman has been out three times, once to clean the drain. The second time he installed new tracks for 250.00. Two hours later they still wont move. The third time out he said it was repaired, but two hours later they didnt move again. We are very disappointed with Maytag.

We purchased a Maytag bottom-freezer refrigerator MBL2258XES1 from Home Depot on 12/30/2011. Other than being a bit noisy, it functioned without problem for a little over two years after which we noticed water pooling on the floor, just below the left-front corner of the bottom-freezer door. It was shortly thereafter we noticed the large sheet of ice that covered the entire floor of the freezer. Over the past several months I pull out the large towel, my spatula, my meat tenderizer and break up and lift out the ice onto the towel around every two weeks. Thanks Whirlpool/Maytag! At least that Maytag repairman isnt lonely anymore.UPDATED ON 03/18/2015: I called Maytag Customer Service, (800) 344-1274 to discuss remedies for my Maytag/Whirlpool bottom-freezer refrigerator which has a perpetual layer of ice on the floor of the freezer which leaks onto my floor. I was offered a product called Repair Plus One which includes parts and service for this repair and they throw in a 1-year warranty. The cost: $359.95. The representative informed me I only had 24 hours to make up my mind as the offer was time limited. I asked if there were any other remedies available to me and she said none other than a service call.

I have owned this washer for three years and the smell in the entire area of my home is getting unbearable. I have used vinegar, clorox, and washer cleaner and I always leave the door open when the washer is not in use. My other complaint is that even a small amount of bleach cannot be used on clothes without causing bleach stains because it runs directly on the clothes before enough water is in the washer. The receptacle for softener also does not dispense the softener properly. I am very disappointed in this machine.

Very disappointed with my 2014 purchase of model MDB8959SBS3 dishwasher. In fact it is no longer in service. We used the dishwasher approximately twice a day. The wheels on the pull out racks starting falling apart in the first 6 months. Then the soap dispenser failed. It would not shut. We replaced both the wheels and the dispenser only to find ourselves with the exact same problems in a matter of months. My hubby got really good at fixing both of these items. The final straw was earlier this year as when we turned it on the motor/water pump started making a screeching sound. Never had to replace an appliance that was only four years old in my lifetime. Just very disappointed with the quality of Maytags dishwasher.

The Maytag Bravos washing machine (Model No. MVWB75OWQ1 Type 580) is the worst Ive ever owned. The low water level obviously is not sufficient to clean the clothes as the clothes come out still dirty. I pre-treat stains carefully and follow all of the directions and 9 times out of 10, my clothes come out with the stain still there. The clothes never smell clean. In fact, they have an odor. My t-shirts still have a smell of BO under the arms and some of my clothes still smell like my perfume. They just arent clean. I feel like we put our dirty clothes in this machine and they agitate around in a little pool of water for an hour and they come out still dirty. The machine frequently gets off balance and shuts down too. If I had the money to trash this one and go buy another one - Id do it in a heartbeat. Unfortunately - Im stuck with this piece of junk until I can afford to buy a new one. This was a total waste of money and Maytag should be ashamed that they have not recalled it and given its customers a replacement option.

We purchased the Maytag double oven 30 inch 5 burner, stainless steel, model MGT8885XS. Oven worked good for six weeks. The igniter broke in the bottom oven and when the third party non-Maytag repairman came out to fix it, he was unable to remove the bottom oven door. It is not flush and heat escapes when the bottom oven is on and it causes the top oven to get condensation. The repair man was directed from a technician from Whirlpool that he had to order a new seal and hinges. I dont want it fixed. I want a new one. I have called Customer Service for Whirlpool and the third party and the store in which I bought it from and everyone is pushing it off onto someone else. Customer service is poor and stated they will only fix the oven and will not send us a new oven. We sent our rebate in the mail which was to arrive within 8 weeks and we have yet to receive it. Very poor customer service. Glad I purchased the 4 year warranty. I will never buy Maytag again.

I PURCHASED A WALL OVEN ABOUT 4 months ago. Used the self cleaning, oven blew fuse and some other part, had to wait for almost 2 weeks for repair because of self cleaning liner is now peeling and leaving fine particles. Maytag said it was ok, they would not replace, the liner doesnt have a replacement part so Im going to have to buy a new oven to feel safe for my family meal.

I purchased a Maytag Microwave Oven MMV5208 WS 1 from Home Depot less than two years ago. Mine was actually manufactured in April 2013 according to the ID tag. A couple of months ago it started acting up because a switch when the door closes began to malfunction and you had to open and close the door several times to get the microwave started. Then all of a sudden when you set the timer and pushed the start button it would flash on and immediately shut off. This is extremely frustrating because I paid more than $400.00 and purchased it less than two years ago. I am disappointed because Maytag advertises its reliability and this microwave is anything but reliable.

Maytag Bravos Quite Series 300 - We purchased this washer from Lowes on 9-20-11. Weve had trouble with the spin cycle on this machine since we purchased and in December 2014 the washer stopped working and showed the symbol F:51-no part, to be found waited a month for the part; repair fixed and the machine stopped working in FEBRUARY AGAIN same part-still not fixed. Ive always purchased a Maytag but the new washer Im in the market for will not be a Maytag.

I have a Bravos washer model # mvwb45owqo and matching dryer. The price for the pair was $1347.00 plus tax. The washer and dryer were bought Jan 14 2010. 10-10-13 the pump went bad and was replaced. I paid $ 221.00 to have it replaced. 10-31-2013 I was washing a load of cloths and it was very noisy. I call the local dealer and they come out and said that it needs a drive shaft tub part #w10193886. I would be about $300.00 to replace the part. Also they charge $75.00 for a service call. I called Maytag and talked to Ashley (**) from customer service and she said they could not give me any help that the washer was too old. I might also add that my last washer was 3 years old and the motor needed to be replaced. It was also a Maytag. I always thought if you paid more money for quality it was worth it. I am sorry I did not buy a cheap machine from Sears or somewhere else. It would of been 1/2 of the cost and I could of replaced it after 3 years or so if necessary and still been money ahead. We also have 4 rental homes that have all Maytag in it. I will be holding my breath that they are not junk also. I will tell everyone I know not to buy Maytag and I will never own anything that has the Maytag name on it again.

I bought a full Maytag kitchen in 2010 because like many others, I trusted the brand. However, before I knew it, the dishwasher broke down. I live in Canada so I get Whirlpool (owns Maytag) 2 year limited warranty. Thank God for that because I have had the repair guy come 7 times. Each time for the same problem (control board) and they have replaced a listed of parts with no success. I have asked them to honor their no lemon policy but am given excuses as to why someone has to come see it first before they can give me a new one. Once the service guy arrived he obviously has no idea about anything and just goes for the repair. Its so frustrating.I am fed up. It is completely unacceptable because now Im losing money staying home waiting for the repair guy. Maytag is the biggest piece of junk I have ever bought. I only hope you see this before buying a Maytag product. Like many others here I use my dishwashers once a week. Now Im faced with a dilemma where I might have to purchase a new dishwasher as soon as my 2 year warranty runs out. My $700 went down the drain.

Maytag Bravo washer and dryer delivered 2 days ago.My complaint is with the washer. I didnt know it was HE and that it requires special detergent! I didnt know the lid locks! I didnt know when I push the hot water button, the machine mixes in cold water! Complicated, delicate machine and not user-friendly. I dont expect the washer to last long.

I bought this after having a Frigidaire for 40 years and was immediately disappointed upon installation. This OVEN, not a range, was smaller inside and a lot of new pans would not fit! I have replaced the burners and the bulb wiring several times. Would not buy another one!

Maytag bravo - thought it would be a good brand/buy/new technology. Absolutely nothing to like. Complete junk. Bought it in June 2013. Doesnt get things clean and takes a long time to not do that. We thought a good reputation from a major brand would mean a durable efficient washer with a reasonable capacity and good features. Unfortunately we didnt know when we bought it what a bad design/investment it was. It has destroyed numerous garments with fraying and doesnt rinse soap or dirt out because it doesnt use any water.The bravo from Maytag is supposed to be low water efficient. Unfortunately, it doesnt use enough water to wash clothes, no matter how little or how much HE soap you use. It frays clothes, leaves soap residue, wont wash jackets or blankets or bulky things, takes forever to NOT get things clean, doesnt get heavy stains or mud out, the list goes on and on.... oh, and its expensive, and breaks down a lot. I cannot believe that there has not been a government recall where the people who were unfortunate enough to buy one have been given a large amount of money back.

I have a Maytag refrigerator that is about 6 years old. I like the fridge, but the icemaker no longer works and water constantly drips from the door. They will not fix it, even though we have an extended warranty that they have provided. I have waited for months and I am told an icemaker is not important and the fridge is still working, so why am I complaining? When you pay for a fridge with an icemaker and water dispenser, I believe it is part of the refrigerator I paid for and it should be fixed, but Maytag doesnt seem to think so.

I purchased a Maytag Dishwasher April 6th, 2011. Its only 3 years old and now the control panel isnt working properly. Specifically, the start button. Contacted Maytag Customer Care service and they could not help me other than charging $80.00 for the Maytag Man.. which by the way, we arent suppose to see because of their superb quality in appliances. So I have a repairman scheduled for next week. I am an highly dissatisfied customer because the dishwasher is used once a week for the 3 years Ive owned it. Purchased a stackable washer and dryer (Maytag) for our new condo in Feb 2015. After it was installed a few months later the problems began. The washer wasnt removing the water from the clothes. We contacted Maytag and they informed us that they subcontract out to a company called Appliance Service of Central Florida (727-462-0394). Contacted Appliance Service and set up a date to be serviced. Since then, we have had Appliance Service out to our place over 8 times. They found fault in our control panel, our door lock, replaced our motor and have replace several other parts. It has been over 4 months since they started repairs on our machine and have informed me that they have a right to try and fix the problem. I have no problem with this but when and how long do I have to put up with this? They dont seem to care that my wife and I havent had a working washer in over 4 months.The people doing the repairs stated that this machine should have been replaced because it had or has several problems with it and after replacing the motor, electric panel etc it still isnt working. When I contacted Maytag they stated that as long as Appliance Service is working on the problem, it out of their hands. Is there anything I can do besides contacting a lawyer and spending more money?

My Maytag Front Load Washer Model MHWE200XW purchased from Sears had a malfunctioning spin cycle. The authorized Maytag repairman from Landers, with support from a Maytag technician by phone, did not know how to repair it. The machine had light use over the past 15 months, and hence was not covered under warranty. So I am out $650 for the machine and $200 for the repair that resulted in continued and even worse malfunctioning. Unfortunately for me, the tests did not show any errors and the machine did not state any error. It just would not spin and then would not allow the door to open. It is a lemon and I do not recommend its purchase.

I bought the washer/dryer a few years ago. I did not realize how they do not own up to their reputation. Rather expensive. My clothes are always twisted together when finished washing. Parts of them feel dry. My dryer seems to be ok. Comforters are a pain as the load always gets unbalanced. Lately it wont finish a load. I get LD all the time. Have to unplug the washer and wait for it to cut off before cutting it back on. Then I cannot just rinse or spin. It fills back up with water and I get the same LD again. If I had seen all these reviews before I bought this set I WOULD NOT have bought them in the first place.

I purchased this washing machine from Home Depot in 2012. I am amazed that it lasted this long after reading the reviews on here. It will not drain water, it will not spin. I see many customers bought the same washer and are having multiple issues. When will Maytag recall these machines? Overpriced and unfair to consumers to sell something that is broken or not reliable.

I purchased my Maytag dishwasher thru Costco. I did so because I got a 2 year warranty if I bought thru them. The washer was approximately 6 months old and they replaced the pump. Approximately 3 months later they replaced the heater. Approximately 4 months after that they replaced the entire operating/electronic board located in the door. Approximately 6 weeks before the warranty was up they had to rebuild the middle dish tray. Now that the warranty is expired by 2 months the door is leaking like a sieve. Unlike most families we use our dishwasher at least twice daily. In summation I would not recommend this brand of appliances to anyone. I will not pay to have this one repaired.

Washer has plenty of functions for me to was even my work clothes. These saves me money and time. Washer leaves clothes clean and you can even wash your blankets.

In 2003, I purchased a brand new Maytag washer and dryer set, I chose Maytag because of their reputation. Within the first 6 months, I had a bearing go bad on it and that had to be fixed. It has become noisier and noisier throughout the years and now it is leaking all over the floor when I do a load. I am single, I live alone, I do laundry very seldom and do not do large loads. I am so disappointed with Maytag. When the repairman came out initially to fix it, he said that the brand he fixes most often is Maytag. Expensive lesson learned, Ill never buy any type of Maytag product again.

I have a Maytag dishwasher and the rollers for the racks are failing due to heat: plastic wheels breaking up. $35 each to buy and replace. There are eight total. So $280 because of poor testing and quality of materials. Manufacturers should test to ensure the parts last a reasonable period of time and are designed for the environment in which they are being used.

My washer is less than 3 years old when I noticed the bleach dispenser has filled with water. I soaked the water out with a towel only to have it fill again the next time I washed. This in addition to the feeling I have that too much soap is left in clothes and spot removal is pretty consistently negligible.
