I purchase my Maytag electric glass top stove 9 years ago. 2 years ago, one of the burners went out and had to be replaced. Now, in the past 2 days, my oven is taking FOREVER to preheat from 0 to 455 degrees. So far, its been 78 minutes waiting for it to go from 0 degrees to 425! Apparently the heating element is defective. As far as the self cleaning oven, it is absolutely worthless, and does NOT work! Needless to say that Im very disappointed, and looking at another repair expense!

A refrigerator we have had for just two years has been leaking water from the freezer and damaged our hardwood floor. We thought it was someone dropping ice or leaving the freezer drawer open but no, there is an admitted problem with the mechanism. No coverage from Maytag for the cost of fixing THEIR MISTAKE. The company doesnt seem to care. Got the run around from their management.

Purchased 4 Maytag kitchen appliances - stove, double oven, fridge, dishwasher - was told that they were all made in the USA. WRONG. The microwave comes from China - not sure why Maytag is not being honest. Not happy with my purchases - even though we spent $4000 to buy American. Warranty service is awful - even extended warranty is a joke. Would never purchase Maytag again.

On Nov 1, 2018 - 14 months after purchasing this top of the line refrigerator - the compressor broke and the freezer stopped functioning. I called Maytag Service who said the soonest they could repair it was Nov 12 - 12 days after it broke. Also they said my 10 year warranty didnt apply unless I had proof of purchase. I said I registered my product online when I bought it but they said they had no record. So they had to charge me full cost of service and parts which would be $1000-$1500.I then called LOWES SERVICE ADVANTAGE - I really like Lowes by the way - and they verified my proof of purchase and that in addition to the appliance warranty I have a 5 YEAR mechanical parts repair warranty through LOWES. Thank goodness I purchased the service warranty from LOWES because Maytag was NOT honoring theirs! So then a repair person from FAST APPLIANCE REPAIR INC came to fix the refrigerator and said because it was the compressor he couldnt repair it so I had to wait a few days later for the COMPRESSOR SPECIALIST to come out. The compressor specialist came and said he didnt have any in stock so had to order one.Six days later - Nov 19 - the compressor arrived at my house. I called FAST APPLIANCE REPAIR and asked for someone to schedule an installation. I said Im RETIRED and can do it any time. They said the soonest they could install it is NOVEMBER 28 - ONE MONTH AFTER IT BROKE. So now Ive lost two large drawers of frozen food that spoiled. I have no refrigerator this week for my birthday and for Thanksgiving. I have to wait another 9 days to get it fixed. I am NOT HAPPY. I am sharing this experience so anyone considering buying this or any other MAYTAG product will think very carefully before making their purchase. Also, be sure to buy from Lowes and get the Lowes service plan for any appliance. Ill try to update this if and when my refrigerator gets repaired.

I bought a Maytag Washer in October of 2012. So far we have had to have repairs to it (4) times. The motor falls out. We are very dissatisfied with the product. We have always purchased Maytag products and fee we should get a new washer. The warranty is up in one month. If there is anything you can do to help it would be appreciated. A $1,000.00 for a washer is a lot of money for something that does not work and takes a week to get a repairman. Thanks.

Purchased a Maytag Bravos XL less than 3 years ago Model MVWB725BW0. We have had several repair calls. From reading complaints from others, I have the same: clothes balloon, clothes rip, dark clothes have a scum on them, even a blanket goes off balance and it is hard to start the cycle. It goes off balance all the time, makes a squeaky sound when agitating and the housekeeper can never figure out what cycle to run the clothes on because they always go off balance, there is a loud vibration, etc. The last repair call was for an actual leak on the floor! The appliance company charged us $95 for the service call, did nothing, and told us the parts would be more expensive than a new washing machine. Went to Home Depot today and purchased an LG washer and dryer for over $1500. I am not even going to try to recoup anything from Maytag because this is the second Maytag that I have had a bad experience with and didnt learn a lesson in the first place. Junk. :(

My refrigerator stopped working less than two weeks after purchase. The ice maker failed to produce ice. I feel they sold me a lemon. Yes, I do!

Maytag, you left me disillusioned and disappointed. I used to believe you, trust you. How am I going to feed my kids without a fridge? I bought our side-by-side French door refrigerator a few years ago and even bought the extended warranty (which no longer is in effect, unfortunately). Yesterday, the refrigerator failed, We called a small local repair person who could be at my home in a couple of hours. He listened and said my compressor was out, a leak was probably in there too, and that it would cost about 900 dollars or more to repair. When I called Maytag to see what they thought, they said that because I called a non-Maytag assigned repair person (even though this small-business repair guy didnt even take apart the refrigerator), I could no longer get their repair plus one year warranty offer which runs 400 dollars. But there is nothing I see on their warranty page that says this. Here I was trying to help our local economy by calling a small mom-and-pop repair person who is known in our town and has a good reputation, but I guess that by doing that minor well-intentioned act, it goes against Maytag corporate policy. Wow, how foolish do I feel now? I feel ashamed to admit this, but I actually started crying when I was on the phone with their customer help rep and asked, Isnt there something that can be done? I was thinking to myself that two months after Christmas with three kids is a tough time to replace a 1300-dollar refrigerator. I offered to pay the 400 dollars to get the refrigerator fixed by a sanctioned Maytag official with their warranty, but that I didnt know that I wasnt supposed to call anyone else besides Maytag if my appliances broke down. I would have never called our small local guy if I had known that Maytag corporate had such a policy. She said that no, there was nothing that she could do, and that is what happens to customers who call a non-Maytag assigned repair person. I guess when this happens to your fridge, you ask your neighbors if they can keep some milk, lunch meat and cheese for you, at least until you can save up for another fridge. Thank goodness that dried pasta and Ragu sauce dont have to be refrigerated. There are also cans of peas and corn and dry cereal, so it should be okay.I cant express how absolutely disappointed I am with myself and with my purchase, and how this has soured me on everything Maytag. I feel like an idiot. Can you believe that I had actually scrimped and saved up for months to buy this Maytag refrigerator and the extended warranty (hah, just to be safe)? I had bought it because I thought Maytag was a reputable company and because it was supposed to help the environment with its energy saving technology. But dont you think that a $1300 refrigerator should last more than 7 years (Believe it or not, this newer Maytag fridge was replacing a 20-year-old fridge that I gave to my cousins and which is still running to this day!)? And to add insult to injury, I already had a major repair done 4 years ago on this same French door Maytag fridge when it was only 3 years old. Maytag should offer to come out and fix their mess, but all I received when I called Robin, the supervisor, at their Tennessee call center was a, Sorry, there is nothing that I can do and there is no one else that you can speak to, and Nope, there is no one at corporate that you can call for help either and I have no advice to offer you. I can give you a mailing address though, if you like. I think I did hear pity in her voice, so that was some comfort. Pity from a call center supervisor, think about that! How awful it must be for her if that is all that she can offer to the desperate people who look to her for guidance! I actually felt sorry for her after I hung up the phone. It must be terrible to know that the company that you work for is probably mistreating its customers and all that you can offer is an Im sorry. I wonder how often someone says a rosary for her and her workers taking on those endless calls for help. How often does she cry herself to sleep after a day of that?I really dont like complaining online and I rarely do it, but this experience was just so awful and hopeless that I feel I had to say something to save other people pain and money. I hope that everyone learns from my miserable Maytag mistakes and please pass on my experiences to all of your friends and family. Those big tax refund checks will be coming soon, and I know that a lot of people upgrade their appliances with that money. Please, please think twice before you buy anything Maytag. I would feel better if I knew that people could learn from my stupidity. Remarkably, I was once gullible enough to trust and believe in American-made Maytag - goodness, was I wrong to do that. I am considering Facebooking my friends and family to let them know what happened and save them the heartache too. I hope that everyone who reads this can learn from my own mistakes and misguided trust in a company. 2011 model MVWC2oox W1- spin dry failure - We purchased above top loader in 2011 and have had no issues until now. Currently constant failures on spinning and drying. Spin cycle stops without getting up to speed and appears to be an unbalanced load sensor problem. Also draining is not completed (possible pump going bad). Area tech came out within a week as promise and ran the diagnostics and found no faults. Problem has continued. We do a load a week. Looking for better answers or a new washer.

I purchased a washer in July and its already off track. When I seen it I know it was junk but the sales person assured me it was a good product. 3 months later its off track. No spinning. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

3 year old Maytag Washer model MVWX600XW broke. Paid $345.55 for extended warranty. I had to wait 10 days for Appliances Unlimited to fix the washer in Sept. then the washer broke again in November needing 3 more parts including a motor. It took almost 2 weeks for Appliances Unlimited to come to the house, then I have to wait 5 weeks for a new motor to be in stock.

148013 Stan & Pauls Dartmouth MA - 3 yrs ago we remodeled the kitchen... I went with Maytag appliances because I was always told they were good. I should have stayed with GE. Dishwasher touch pad is gone again... 2nd time in 3 yrs. Last one cost us 265.00. We are senior and thought these appliances would outlast us. We only use it about twice a week. Our freezer door tracks and door needed to be replace 6 mo after purchase. WE lost all the food that had defrosted. Our oven coil burned out already also... that was expensive to replace. Only thing that we have not had to repair (knocking on wood) is the microwave. STAY AWAY FROM MAYTAG, FOLKS!!

I just bought this piece of junk... Like everyone else I guess I didnt do enough research! I have had this washer for less than 3 weeks and just like everyone else I am so disappointed in how it tries to wash without water! I too have tried different settings. I had to wash a load 3 times... pausing it while trying to get the rest of the items wet. Its ridiculous... of course now to try and see if I can return it! Yah right... Home Depot does not have a good return policy and Im afraid I will be out 800+ with this washer. This is ridiculous! It really is.

We purchased a Maytag MDB7749SBWO Maytag dishwasher. Suddenly the control panel does not work. Trying to find out why I found that there are thousands of complaints about this known defect with water and steam getting in and corroding the control panel. Shame on Maytag for continuing to sell these without fixing the problem. I expected my dishwasher to last many years based on the Maytag reputation instead I need to replace it. I am not going to spend the money on a repair with a machine that will have the same problem again according to other consumers.

Bought a Maytag Bravo washer, suppose to be the best of its kind from Home Depot. Should of known I was in trouble when it took them over four months to deliver it. It lasted two years before the bearing went on the machine. Whirlpool/Maytag was of no help. Ironically, the machine Im using today is my old Maytag I bought 17 years ago. The repair cost for the new machine was about 50% of the cost of the machine purchase.

After one year of service from our Maytag Jetclean Plus Dishwasher with Toughscrub the circuit board went out. I have been seeing and hearing other people complaining about this problem. We purchased this device based in large part on Maytags reputation for reliability. I am not happy with this machine. I will complain to the company and write another review based on the results. I suggest Maytag goes back to the old knobs until they can assemble and protect the circuit board, which I believe was damaged by heat and moisture.

Bought new washer and dryer from Home Depot. The worst washer and dryer I ever bought. Own 11 house all have washer and dryers. Bought Maytag on brand reputation. Washer does not rinse close at all. They come out full of lint and soap. It rips sheets up. Takes like 70-90 minutes to wash and close have to be washed over cause they dont rinse out. Dryer takes (2) runs to dry. Depot said they couldnt take them back. $300 Roper washer and dryer work much better than these units I paid like $1100.00 for. Maytag reputation is **. I have Amana front loads in another house that wash in 29 minutes and they come out perfect. Amana dryer works great also. DONT BUY MAYTAG ON THEIR ** REPUTATION AND CONSUMER SERVICE WONT DO ANYTHING!!! I would add the receipt but it just a waste of time.

I purchased this new a year and 4 months ago and have had nothing but issues. We thought it cooked slow or cooked high/low but couldnt be sure if we were just imagining it until we had family come down at Christmas and complain about how slow the top burners are and why is it taking so long to boil water. Then again family for Easter where they cooked three days in a row and they complained that our top oven either burns or under-cooks the food which we had noticed but presumed we just mistimed a lot of food. Just recently the bottom oven wont heat past 350 and just constantly says preheating. The top oven followed suit shortly after. Nothing past 350.

First off I dont usually spend my time writing complaints; however, I feel Maytag is deserving of my complaint. Purchased dishwasher Model #mdbh979sab1 in 2013 and days before the 1-year warranty was up the front control panel quit responding, rendering the appliance useless. Got that fixed under warranty. Now about 1 year later guess what... Its got the same problem. Began to read others post on this site and found that this is a common issue. One person posted that her dishwasher began to smoke and nearly caught her home on fire. Maytag was kind enough to offer a paid service call and enrollment into their extended warranty program. I think Ill cut the umbilical cord on this one and go get something more reliable and doesnt pose a potential fire hazard.

I purchased a Maytag slide in range from Costco online in April 2020. Within three months a discolouration on the stainless top part of the range has happened. Costco has a ninety day period for repairs, or return on appliances. Pictures were provided to Costco at the request of Maytag. Upon review, Maytag’s response was, This is a cosmetic issue and nothing we will repair. I am an extremely disappointed consumer who will NEVER purchase a Maytag product again.

I purchased this $857 dishwasher from Lowes in May, 2021. It broke in June, 2021. S&S Repair was sent by Maytag to repair. It took 3 weeks for them to come, then they discovered the motor and pump assembly had gone out. Parts were on backorder. It is now August, 13, 2021 and I still have no dishwasher. Lowes would not replace this dishwasher. Maytag will not authorize a return. This is disgusting.

Shortly after purchasing my Maytag refrigerator had to pay for a new motor in the ice maker. The cover for the lower large food tray broke. Now approx. 4 years later am getting ice build-up on the bottom of the lower freezer unit, about one-half inch thick. It is enough so the freezer door wont seal when it closes and the inside builds up with frost. Not happy with Maytag or this refrigerator.

My fridge and freezer got warm and compressor is not running. It is not even 8 years old. I replaced start relay and start capacitor. It cost me $75, from Maytag store. I worked two days the bam! It’s broke again. It’s a Maytag junk, now what? I have two kids in college. It will cost me $100 for a service call. Our food is ruined.

This will be the third repair of this refrigerator in one year, the same issue of the refrigerator warming up. Water all over the floor due to ice thaw. Also food spoilage. I want another refrigerator at this point. The Maytag repairman is definitely not lonely. He has more business than he can handle with this defective refrigerator. Terrible. Do Not Buy!!

I bought a Maytag washer and dryer with Commercial Technology, front loader in April 2012. Since then, the repair guy has been at my house three times in six months. This last repair is going to be just $800 in parts, not including any labor yet. So, I called Customer Service, and told them I was not satisfied with the repair job again, because I obviously have a lemon of a machine. Needless to say, I lost, and was told the warranty is only for repair, and not replacement. Well what happened to customer service? Its more like customer bend over, shut up and take it. So, I will get my repair at a cost of at least 1,200 bucks paid for by Maytag. Im not a business person, but if I were the company, I would think replacement of the unit would be a lot cheaper in the long run for this company and a happy customer for the future of me buying brands. Needless to say, I will never buy a Maytag or Whirlpool product again, and you can thank your useless Customer Service department in Canada for that. P.S. I work for a company with over 10,000 employees. I might accidentally send out a little free publicity how this company treats loyal customers. I actually bought this brand because in the past, I was led to believe they were great . Wow, was I wrong!

I purchased the Maytag Bravos top load washer and the matching dryer at Home Depot back in 2009 after giving my son my very old Maytag washer and dryer that was running just fine. I liked the top load energy efficiency idea of the new Bravos and the large capacity of both the washer and dryer. Also, the Maytag name sold me, gave me confidence I was purchasing a quality product... WRONG. When it was delivered, there was damage to the dryer door, so a new one was ordered and mailed directly to me. Once it came in, I called to have someone come put it on. First issue, not a really big deal but disappointing.About one month into using the dryer, the top of it became so hot it could literally burn your hand. There was also an error message. I had purchased a one-year warranty, even though technically there is a manufacturers warranty on the product. A part had to be replaced in the panel. This happened twice. We then moved out of state for one year and the washer and dryer stayed in storage unused during that time.Fast forward to 2014 and the washer will not complete any cycle except the spin cycle. I keep getting an error message of OL which means overload. The machine is NOT overloaded. It literally takes me hours to get through one cycle of washing clothes. And they dont even come out clean. I called Maytag repair and they offered me a one-year warranty for $363.75 since the washer is having issues. They explained to me if its the control panel the cost alone for that is $383.00 not including labor. Also, the dryer take forever to dry. I have to run each load through a cycle twice to dry everything. So much for the energy efficiency of these machines. At this point, I am considering just buying another washer, something cheaper without all the fancy bells and whistles. I am terribly disappointed in Maytag.

Side by side refrigerator model #msd255oveu01. I bought this refrigerator Apr. 2011... The 1st year, the ice kept sticking in machine or freezing up. Now they have had to replace the modules 3 times. Once fall of 2012 and and again yesterday, 3/19/14 and they had to come back today to replace that one. I have called Maytag and they wont stand behind it since the warranty is over. I have told them that this is an ongoing thing with the ice maker and I have had to have it serviced ever since I have bought it. I told them from the git go that the ice maker needed replace. The ice dispenser also drops an ice cube on the floor on occasion and if I use crushed ice it jams up. This product is defective and is not a good product.

I purchased this machine (MVWB765FW0) because I had a good experiences with Maytag in the past. There is a manufacture defect in this particular machine. If I were you, I would not buy it. I’ve lost two sets of bedsheets and my wife had a dress that she loved that got ripped up at the bottom between the agitator and the base of the machine. Maytag knows about the problem and does not have a solution.

I bought a Maytag Bravo without an agitator. Regretted from the 1st load. Some of my clothes do not even get wet and I bought the commercial grade. My 20 year washer that was on its last leg washes better than my brand new Maytag. Please do not waste your money, your clothes will not come out clean.

I have bought a new Home Depot Maytag Impeller HE washer. After 6 repeat washings of 2 items that are lightweight dark brown it was obvious after drying they had soap and lint and lot hairs on it. I reached with no he detergent. The last 4 times the water level filled to 1 depth even for high level water setting to extra rinse or power wash settings. I went to Home Depot and they suggested I call Maytag repair center on Tuesday after the labor day holiday to have them check it out. I will also call the supervisor at Home Depot as I do not feel paying $600 for a faulty machine is acceptable.

Purchased model MBF1958XEB4 September 2012. The unit is provided with a bottom freezer. About 2 month age water was forming and freezing on the bottom of the freezer compartment and leaking on the floor. It appears that this is a common design flaw recognized by Maytag with an updated part available that is intended to correct this problem.Contacting the extended warranty company I was informed that this is normal maintenance and not covered under the plan. Liars!! One does not remove a car engine to change the oil. To correct this problem the refrigerator is required to be pulled from the wall, disconnected from power, remove the back lower cover, disconnect two wire cables, replace the drain tube and reverse the process. Normal maintenance - give me a break. The company promoting this phony plan is Federal Warranty Service Corporation in Atlanta, GA. Do not buy a plan from them and if you have one cancel and receive a refund if possible. Maytag get into another business because your product is junk.

I bought the Bravos glass top washer. It was always loud. I have a friend who had a cheaper model and his was loud too. My washer barely lasted two years before tearing up. It cost $85 to tell me it would be over $500 to fix it. I paid over $600 so it wasn’t worth fixing. Lid lock went out and gear went bad.

Bought this machine with the intention of having at LEAST 10 problem free years with it. Its a Maytag after all. Not an unreasonable expectation. Within the first 2 years, the machine sounded like the bearings were going out (heavy, grinding noises when it shifted gears). Repairman came, replaced the entire drum (only way to get to the gears, I guess). Didnt fix a thing. Then the rinse and spin cycle on ANY wash cycle randomly quits. Just stops. Full load of wet, soapy clothes, sitting in the tub while an LD error code quietly flashes.Its not uncommon for it to take two full days of screwing around with this machine to get one load of clothes done. Have to UNPLUG the machine, let it sit for about an hour, and try again. It is the biggest waste of money ever and I will NEVER buy another Maytag nothing. Contacted Maytag and they recommended I call a repairman...REALLY? REALLY? Gee, I wish I had thought of that. Repair guy has been to my house so damn many times for this machine, we are now friends on Facebook. Dont waste your money on this machine.

Bought our washer dryer set from Sears in the fall of 2010. I had reservations from the start as the machines were new and the salesman was really pushing this set (on sale), with all the customers, even offering extra discounts on these models only, if customers bought that day. Apparently, they had overstock and were trying to sell them all ASAP. That was a warning to me but my husband convinced me that I was being overly suspicious. We had previously owned Maytag machines for 20 years and loved them. So I agreed. Well, I have been cursing that decision ever since. You have to hand wash/prescrub any stain on clothing, even a little make-up like blush or a little mud. Then you have to put up with an inflexible system that wont allow you manual options regarding spins and temperature or times, etc. Its all programmed. Then you put up with clanging spin cycle as it bangs against the wall. Then you pull out very wrinkled and not always cleaned clothes only to begin the most frustrating dryer experience ever. It has a mind of its own. It can actually keep spinning as it keeps adding dry time and the clothes never dry! God help you if you have a regular load. All your clothes will get stuck on the little ledge. They stay there in a heap as the machine spins and spins.The solution? You have to add a bunch of dry towels to create a lot of mass so that it keeps your laundry from getting stuck on the side. Then you have to repeat this several times cause it doesnt dry well. I will never ever shop at Sears and I will never buy Whirlpool or Maytag again. I am now saving to buy another set.

MDB7749SBW - Purchased a new dishwasher from Home Depot & had them install it. It worked for 6 1/2 months & the control panel blinked & went dead. I did some research & found there were a lot of problems with the control panels & even a class action lawsuit. I went to Home Depot & they said contact Maytag & brushed me off. I set up a repair per warranty & all was fine for 10 months & same problem has happened again. I told them at Home Depot to replace the unit since nearly every repair job on the control panels prematurely fail again every time. I am going back to the Home Depot again. I do have older Maytag appliances that perform as required & I do know Lowes would have replaced the defective dishwasher.

The Maytag Bravos XL Gas Dryer I purchased less than a year ago has stopped working three times. The dryer stops producing heat. I am now about to call Maytag repair again and waste time and energy setting up a warranty service call. I spent a lot of money in order to go to the Laundromat on a Sunday. Do not purchase this dryer if you would like to be able to dry clothes at home with any type of consistency or confidence. Arrrggg!

We spent over $1,200 on a Maytag washer on 12/2015 and it did not work properly. The door got locked, had a couple loads moldy because we could not get it open. Didnt drain either. Maytag had someone come look at it 3 times and it still didnt work. Called Maytag and now they told me that they cant do anything about it because is not under their 1 year guarantee. And of course they are very sorry for my unfortunate inconvenience. I thought they had a good honest reputation but... Im just disappointed!

Bravos XL - This machine purchased in 2014 at Home Depot service plan, needed major repairs just over a year old. Tech working on this machine replaced the whole tub assy after Maytag want to just do the cheap repair and just do a bearing kit. Reading online all the hundreds and hundreds of the same complains Maytag has done nothing in good faith to replace these junk washers!! My washer is now leaking under the washer less than a year after the last repair!! My good friend purchased the same machine and has had the same issues and his has been down for weeks because the poor service person from Maytag service broke some of the new parts! Now the washer is leaking again. WHAT can be done. This not right!!! Public needs to be warned about these flawed machines and Home Depot is still promoting these Junk machines!!!

I suppose I am the lucky one in that the Maytag Bravos was given to me free. I took out a perfectly good Maytag standard agitator washing machine and replaced it with this several years old unit. What a mistake! I read the other reviews and see that I share the same problems. I always get a the oL fault as soon as it goes to do the final spin. So I have to reset and try again. Also I have seen the same kind of dirt on the clothing as others report. I dont know that I will waste my time contacting anyone about the fault code. I may just put the old one back in and scrap this thing!

I bought this washer three years ago. It is the worst washer I have ever owned. Washing a load of clothes, it goes off balance constantly, large load, small load...it doesnt matter. The smell because of low water usage is awful, and the clothes dont come out clean. I have to buy a new one and that really stinks. Maytag youre off my list for purchases. These days its quality that will keep you in business. We are too smart for this garbage.

I thought it was just my machine that sounded like an airplane taking off in my laundry room. Upon reading these reviews I see there is a real problem with this machine. My parents and grandparents trusted and swore by Maytag products. Maybe then, but certainly not now. Maytag for me stands for landfill. I have had 2 Maytag certified service companies come to repair my washer that is only 6 years old and its the same part both times which I am told by these service providers has been a problem and Maytag knows about it. But when I call Maytag all I get is some sound bite advising me there has been no recall and since I have an extended warranty I will have to take it up with them since that is who my contract is with. Of course they are only obligated to make a repair and cannot replace a defective unit. Of course not.Far be it for Maytag to step up and really stand behind the promises they are making all over our television channels with the new Maytag man. The top of the washer is also all rusted out around the soap, bleach, and softener openings. It is a poorly made machine with known issues by a manufacturer that I will never buy from again. Its a sad day that manufacturers are not held accountable for inferior products and even sadder that this Maytag manufacturer boasts its made in the USA for this machine. So is it back to China we go??? If you want America back you better support your product to your buyers.

I have had 2 Geminis. The first one was fine, this second one is a mess. I have had at least half a dozen parts replaced. I have insurance to have this oven repaired but have paid to have the window seal replaced on at least 3 occasions. The top of the oven is so hot that when I have used the burners to cook on top I have received 2nd degree burns. I have received burns on several occasions. I asked dealer if I could trade this in but said I would have to sell it on my own. I would not subject this oven to another person as I feel it is very dangerous.

Like many I have never wasted my time writing a review, this time I have had it. Purchased all new appliances from Maytag, biggest mistake I have made in the last 10 years. Front loading washer is the main culprit. Doesnt clean clothes, have had to replace the rubber boot on the inside twice now, machine is only 3 years old. Maytag basically treats you like youre stupid, resend instructions like that will fix their broken P.O.S machine. I will never buy another Maytag and will be sure to let everyone know what a piece of garbage, from machine to company! Sad that the overall reviews on my machine are 1.3/5 stars on Maytags own website. Oddly, I cannot write any review on their site, Maytag must have realized what a POS theyve been selling and now block reviews. Im thinking that we should get enough owners together and file a class action lawsuit, maybe that would change their tune??? Never BUY MAYTAG, PLEASE keep in mind THEY are UNDER AN UMBRELLA with WHIRLPOOL and MANY OTHER MAJOR PLAYERS... Do not let them scam you the way they did me! Never had a Maytag before I bought my house. So far the only complaint is there’s a broken piece that prevents the drawer from functioning. Otherwise, pretty good stove/range for the price. Do wish it was easier to clean without scraping anything up.

This dishwasher product has a design defect. It should be recalled.

Has anyone talked to an attorney to see if a class action can be filed? My fridge is leaking, sheets of ice on floor of freezer, and ice maker doesn’t work. Looks like it’s the norm for these. Please post if you have spoken with an attorney. If no one has, I am going to.

Maytag MFD2561 - The metal piece between our French doors is also rusting. It is a design flaw. We also have a GE French door refrigerator and that piece on it is not metal!

Maytag model mfd2561hes French door stainless steel purchased in June 2005 has been the worst appliance purchase ever. After 1 year warranty expired, icemaker and water dispenser stopped working. Was told by repairman to thaw the tube for water dispensing with a hair dryer. Are you kidding me? Why should I have to pull a huge refrigerator out from wall and put the hair dryer to it to thaw out the water line when I need water? What is the convenience to that? Cant buy fresh vegetables as it will freeze before I can use it. This is the worst appliance ever. Dont buy Maytag products. Maytag doesnt back products like the old days when they would last 20 + years. Cant last even a year anymore. Sad!

We paid over $800 (more with installation) for this quality dishwasher. Within one year we began to experience problems with this unit. The top control panel easily becomes water logged causing the device to fail.

We bought this washing machine 2 years ago and I was never really satisfied with how it cleaned the clothes. Darker pants would come out with white soap/water lines on them. The worst part, 2 years in, the washer basket seal failed and the bearings rusted. The washer sounds like a tornado every time it runs. I got a quote for $350 to repair it!

I have always thought of Maytag being the quality manufacturer of appliance products. We purchased a Maytag microwave (MMV4205DH-1) and after just two years it has begun to give us grief (we are in our early 70s, no family at home, so appliance receives medium usage). We constantly get the open/door message when we are trying to set the timer for operation. We open and close, open and close, etc. Just yesterday my wife noticed a slight crack on the door just below the handle, most likely due to frequent open and closing. Went online and read a number of reviews and found many others have had same or similar issues. Done with Maytag.

This is Maytag model: MVWB765FWO-Top loader. HE rated. It handles mixed loads without balance issues but I cannot yet address reliability. The new machine averages 7+ loads weekly and is in the 8th week of use. The overall performance is clearly superior to the Kenmore Elite it replaced.

My Maytag Refrigerator Freezer model MFI2569VEM4 started leaking water into base under bottom freezer door. It then fills up and freezes into solid sheet of ice and overflows and leaks into floor. Ruins Hardwood Floor. BEWARE!!!!! I have now seen several similar complaints online. Mine started doing this less than 2 years old!!!!!

At first the Maytag Bravos XL top load washing machine met all me expectations. After 3 yrs. the top where you load bleach and fabric softener began to rust. This is not covered under warranty. My last washer was a Whirlpool and had it 15 year and never had that issue. So it cant be from the water, just poor workmanship. Very disappointed. Now my lid came loose and is ready to fall off. Would not recommend.

We bought a Maytag refrigerator about 3 years and have had so much trouble. The freezer section which is on the bottom half leaks water periodically on the floor unless, we take the bottom rack out and pry the ice from the shelf about every week. It started doing this about 6 months ago and well need to get a repair man out here. The doors on the refrigerator are also a problem. They often dont close properly, so one is partially open, but unless you look directly at it, it isnt noticeable.

We purchased a Maytag Bravos washer & dryer in September 2012 and 2 1/2 years later March 2015, no heat. We called a repairman and he said heat element went out. When researching this problem online I was shocked how many people had the same problem as we have. It cost over $300 to fix and I am concerned that it will just break again and again after reading these reviews. I think that a class action lawsuit may be needed so that this unfortunate situation does not continue to happen to other consumers.

I had a stroke last year in August and my children got together and bought me a washer. And after the third use this thing started messing up and I had to call in someone. Now the warranty is up and I am sitting here with a new broken down machine.

My Maytag Series 300 Dishwasher would not start. I read the reviews and took the door off (easy if you have the right tool), removed the control panel box (one screw), and cleaned the ribbon with electronic cleaner as per someones suggestion. It started right up. This is a bad design. Would I buy another Maytag? - No way! We will see how long this lasts. There is no seal on the door to keep out humidity. Do we really need a new control panel? When this is done...I am done with Maytag!

Freezer leaks water all over the kitchen floor in front of this $1900 piece of garbage. My husband disconnected the water line (for in-door water and ice cube dispenser) and it STILL leaks water. I can vaguely remember a time when the purchase of a refrigerator (manufactured in the USA) wasnt necessary more than once or twice in the average persons lifetime. This Maytag refrigerator is our second french door fridge in 5 years. The last one was an LG that had a shoddily designed and manufactured compressor that sounded like a diesel engine idling in our kitchen. Of the two, this one is equally defective but doesnt wake the dead when the compressor starts.It has become glaringly apparent the Chinese practice something I refer to as Cargo Cult manufacturing. Google Cargo Cult and youll understand what I mean. Briefly, they manufacture products that APPEAR to be refrigerators, washing machines, ranges, etc. However, lack of quality control and zero competition from companies that provide a well-made, quality product that lasts more than a year or two allows and encourages these slobs to continue pumping out what appear to be appliances until the consumer plugs them in. Thats when the fun begins.

We purchased a Maytag dishwasher & installed Aug 15 2012. After installation the control panel wasnt working & Lowes replaced the dishwasher with the same model. After the years warranty was up I started having trouble with the second dishwasher panel. I limped along with it for months until I could not get it to work at all. A repairman came and said that the touchpad & board was damaged. He said it wasnt hooked up properly. After an estimate of over three hundred dollars we decided to rid ourselves of it and purchased another, cheaper brand. Was out 79 dollars for the repair estimate & over 500.00 for the Maytag dishwasher. Plus a new one installed for 700.00. Had the use of this appliance less than two years.

The big problem is Lowes and Home Dopey, I mean Depot. I am an appliance repairman for 30 years. Their machines are built to a lower spec. Buying same machine from mom n pop store will help! Will cost you more but it will last longer with less repairs! P.S., While Maytag does make some of their own appliances, when Whirlpool bought Maytag years ago they shut down the Newton, Iowa plant. Whirlpool builds that washer and puts Maytags name on it. If you want a good washer buy a Speed Queen, go online and check their reviews! One more thing, LG and Samsung build terrible appliances. Do yourself a favor and stay away from them, just saying!

I wish I would have read reviews before I purchased this washer, but I was in a hurry to get a new machine. Maytag has a great reputation and we went on that!! My Bravos is 2 months old and we have been away for a month! What a disappointment so far. What Ive noticed is all my dark items have residue on them, and today some of my light clothes came out looking like there is grease on them. Im afraid its going to wreck more clothes! Does anyone know if theres been recalls on the Bravos XL washing machines?

Problems with Maytag dishwasher, purchased at Sears Canada Model MDB7749S is only a couple of years old, and as such is no longer under warranty. This Dishwasher is less than 3 years old! Both the interior and exterior is stainless steel and looks virtually new. Cost of parts and labour to repair amount to more than a new dishwasher--this is unacceptable. Poor design. Little value compared to cost. First issue: bottom rack wheels fall off because the plastic pin holding the plastic wheels on the rack become fall out, leaving no way to hold the wheels onto the rack. Second issue: faulty design of the integrated door handle and control panel on the exterior door face. The control panel pops out of the front cover panel when door is pulled open. With some struggle it can be popped back in.I agree with another reviewer who wrote: The design of the faceplate is defective in that too much force is applied to the faceplate when opening the unit. The handle is integrated in to the faceplate. The plastic used becomes brittle over time and breaks. The panel unit (W10811169) must be replaced in entirety rather than just its housing increasing the cost of repair. To have this failure occur within the first 3 years of use is very premature. I can only assume if I repair the dishwasher I will have the same problem again. I am considering buying a new model that is designed better and comes with a longer warranty on such parts.

I bought a Maytag MDB7809AWW2 dishwasher two years ago. The control panel just started doing free-games. Lights would come on and off during the cleaning cycle. When selecting a cleaning cycle, some functions would be automatically selected without the capability to deselect them. It is our second and last Maytag dishwasher. Stay away from them!

Like in a previous posting I also have a Maytag dishwasher, model MDB7749. Just this weekend we had our third control panel go up in flames. Thankfully the breaker hit and it burned itself out quickly. We had previously had one go out where it would just restart in the middle or near the end of a cycle. One other time, we heard the popping and saw the small black smoke come out from under the panel covering. This last time we were in the other room and heard the popping, and then smelled the burning. Aside from the panel issues, this has been a decent dishwasher. But at this point with a third repair I could have bought a new one. This is the only appliance I havent bought the extended warranty on and I regret it. Hopefully Maytag will add this to their previous recall.

I am at my wits end, as I try to get some satisfaction for the fact that this stoves cleaning system does not work! We purchased this stove at Home Depot in Hadley Massachusetts on February 2, 2014, and it was installed in a seasonal cottage that we were having renovated. When we arrived at our cottage in May, I was delighted with the stove. The cook top performed well and the oven size was great. During the summer, we tend to grill outside so the oven didn’t get much use, but it perform perfectly every time I used it. I always remove any debris that may have spilled immediately, and didn’t see any need to user the AQUA Clean feature until we were getting ready to leave in October. When I ran the cleaning system as recommended in the manual, there was a stain on the bottom of the oven. I then ran it eight (8) more times with the same result.I called the service number and they scheduled a service technician to come for a visit. He said that the stove was working the way it was designed to and unfortunately since it really didn’t get hot enough to do the job, the stain (and with more use, more stains) would remain. He also noted that should I try oven cleaning products, my warranty would be voided. This was not the answer I was hoping for, but since his visit was on the day before we were heading South for the winter there was not much I could do.Have called the service number several time since then, asking what could be done to rectify this problem with no positive responses. One did say that they could send the service tech again and went so far as to schedule an appointment for January, which she suggested I postpone with the technician until we return in May. The reasoning being is that since the warranty is only for a year, and the cottage won’t be opened until May, the fact that the original appointment was within the warranty period would cover the cost of the visit. When the technician called a few days later, the scheduler said that it made no since to go again, unless Maytag came out with a fix for the cleaning system. Since it’s not broken, but just does not work. I again spoke with a service rep and asked if anything could be done or if I could speak to a supervisor, she said that one would call.. That was weeks ago and still no call.We purchased this stove with the hope that it would last for many years, especially since it is only used for five months of the year. Ease of cleaning the oven is important. Home Depot no longer sells this model, and after some searching the internet I have found that I am not alone with this issue. Apparently it is quite common. We will not be able to access the cabin until May 2015, but would appreciate anything you can do to expedite a replacement of this stove, with one that actually self-cleans or a refund.

I would bought a Maytag Aqualift self clean oven. I just ran the clean cycle and it is just as dirty as it was before I ran the cycle. Absolutely nothing happened. Now I have the 2 cups of water at the bottom of my oven they said to put in prior to clean cycle, that I have to get in and clean out. This is absolutely unacceptable. Friends, Romans, Countrymen, At first I was skeptical and I once thought that I was the only one whose wife complained about the terrible soap stains and un-rinsed clothes. And finally my rinse and spin cycle stopped spinning and rinsing! However, after reading several reviews and complaints about the famous Bravo X He washer by Maytag and taking into consideration that there are over 650 complaints, making mine # 651. I now find I have lost all skeptical-ability and feel that we all may be comrades in this venture of purchasing the new trademark of the trade-mark Maytag. As almost all of us say our previous experience with Maytag was great. My parents had a Maytag since I was knee-high to a grasshopper and we were a family of eight. First we had the one with the rubber rollers, that was a work of mechanical genius. I even remember getting my arm caught in the rollers. Then my dad bought the spin dry model and that lasted a good 20 years. When I say the Bravo X at Sears it looked like the state of the art washer. However, and unfortunately I will have to agree with all of you. It is a piece of scrap metal and Maytag will not recall or recognize their mistake and make good on a recall or something. The least they should do is give us an old machine that does wash and spin to replace the new one that is less than 2 years old and does not work. I sure hope this letter does not fall on blind eyes. First off. Maytag customer service is horrible. I purchased a Maytag washer & used it 8 time. It now doesnt rinse the soap out of my clothing or even clean anything. The washer isnt broken because thousands of other people with the same exact washer have written negative reviews everywhere online. The washer needs to be recalled & never sold again. Maytag is making people SICK and they dont care. My whole family had skin irritation because we didnt realize our new washer wasnt rinsing.

Our oven is 3 years old and the last time I used the self clean option caused the control panel to malfunction. Now we have to buy a new panel. The repair guy online advises people not to use the self clean as this is a common problem!!! What? I cant use that feature? That is so ridiculous!!! Now we have to pay $300. Whatever happened to the Maytag claim to quality and you would never see a Maytag repair man? Something needs to be done about the problem of appliances and electronics being so poorly made and basically disposable.

Seven years ago when we bought a new house, we bought all new appliances, Maytag Washer and Dryer, because they were suppose to be extra good and sturdy, what a joke. For the past four or five years, I have had to replace the lock on the door of the washer, which means Im without a washer for a week. Since no one stocks the parts because it is such a joke, some repair places wont even consider repairing a Neptune. Seems like since the company stopped making them because of the problems they have, as a minimum they should replace all Neptune washers that have been sold with a reliable washer, front loading in the same price range. I will never buy another Maytag product and will be sure to tell everyone I know not to buy them either.

I have a Maytag purchased about a year ago. My old Maytag lasted 16 years. The salesman told us that they are now built to last 8 years. It’s pretty noisy, so much so that I have to close the door to the utility room. I guess it gets the clothes clean but it used very little water. Fortunately my model has an agitator but nothing like the old kind. After looking at many models, I feel this was the best choice for the value. It is top loading which I like.

When purchasing a microwave for our kitchen the Maytag MMV4203DB00 had all the functions I wanted. Just after a year its quite cooking. The fan would still run but not heat anything. I called Maytag and was told basically, tough luck. I said something about Maytag, that it was supposed to be a great brand and should last longer than 1 year. The part to fix it plus labor was going to cost nearly as much as a new microwave to replace it. Now, the microwave has started to turn on by itself. Customer service was very rude and came off with a we dont really care attitude. I will never buy Maytag again.

My model has 2 ovens which I love. A smaller one & a regular sized one. It also has a cooktop. The cooktop always has “marks” on it from the pots & pans. No matter how careful we are, the pots leave marks. We even bought new pots & they leave marks. Something that we do like is that 2 of the burners have “select a size” so these burners can be used for small or larger pots.

I purchased a Maytag Bravos in October 2015 and a month and a half later the machine began to make a tweeting sound and the clothes were coming out incredibly wrinkled no matter what spin cycle I put it on. There were also times when the clothes came out totally dripping wet like they hadnt spun at all. I called Maytag and they sent out a technician from a local store which was not a Maytag store. When I told him what was going on, his response to the machine turning out very wrinkly clothes was, Well, why dont you just chose no spin. I said to him, So the clothes wont spin and I have to take out my clothes dripping wet? Doesnt that defeat the purpose of having a washing machine that spins? He didnt say anything to me.It turned out the machine needed a new gasket motor... after two and a half months... and it would take a week - minimum - before he would come back. Maytag sent me a survey which I filled out and they called a day later. They offered me a six month extended warranty for free. I explained to them that I didnt understand why something mechanical would break after two and a half months but the woman just kept apologizing.

I bought a new Maytag refrigerator on July 2, 2011. The ice continues to drop after removing your glass. Now you must pick the ice from the floor. Maytag said it has a 10 second delay and will continue to drop ice. Im tired of picking up ice and wiping water from the floor. Who wants a product that leaves a mess?

Havent even used the range yet and the paint is peeling off of the top. I have had the repair guy out. The new top piece of the range arrived with peeling paint also. I put in a claim to have the range replaced and was told they would contact me in 24 to 48 hours. That never happened and so I called again. They said that they would call and, of course, it didnt happen. I paid $1,300 for a stove that looks horrible with the paint is peeling off of it. What kind of ** is Sears selling? Maytag is owned by Whirlpool and nobody wants to make this right.

Have 2 fridges (one regular and the other is a side-by-side, both were bought in 2006 at Future Shop. The small one is not freezing and the side-by-side ($2,200) is busted too (compressor wont start....). How can Maytag say that their product are reliable on TV??? A Fridges compressor should last at least 15 years !! Maytag, you should at least have the decency to pay for the compressor!

I purchased a Maytag French door refrigerator (model MF12569) two years ago. The bottom drawer freezer does not work well. Apparently, the inner tubing of the freezer clogs and it creates huge puddles of water. My floor got damaged and I keep calling Maytag and all I get is their apologies. I purchased an extra warranty which will expire on the third year. I am really disappointed with their product. I see why there are so many complaints filed and what makes matter worse is that they dont seem to acknowledge the problem. Apologies do not cut it. They need to do something to reestablish customer satisfaction.

My husband and I purchased this Maytag bravo washer in May 2014. It is not even three years old and the bearings went out. Call the repair man and it would cost over $300 to have it fixed. I paid a lot of money for this washer, expected it to last more than less than a little than three years and I think its terrible. Purchased 4-2010, used maybe once a week, it stopped working 11-2013. They sent someone out to replace the faulty recall, which the recall says there is an electrical wiring failure that can cause a fire, so they replaced part. It did nothing, the dishwasher still would not wash, just fill up with water and drain, but would never go into wash, so we call and argue. First girl said that recall has been known to burn out the control panel so we have to pay for a service person to come out and diagnose it, if that is it, they will pay to repair it. Then when he does diagnose it, we call back, the next person says no, the recall has nothing to do with the control panel, that it is just a bracket that holds up the heating element... REALLY. Well then the Consumer Protection Agency has the wrong info because I just looked on there and the recall says, Electrical failure with the heating element that is not related to a bracket, I can read and I am not stupid, so we were out the $50 service call, so we finally got them to agree and pay for the part, but we would have to pay to put it on...HHHHHH NO, I am not spending another dime on service calls, I could spend the same amount and go and get a scratch and dent dishwasher for the same or just a little more. We are calling back tomorrow to argue more with them, then I am emailing the local TV station that handles these kind of issues. MAYTAG is a piece of nothing, I will never buy this or anything with their name on it again....

Barbara ** purchased a Maytag Bravos X washer. The washer did not perform anywhere near the advertised and EXPECTED performance. A letter was written to the Maytag Customer Center on July 12, 2014 complaining about the washers inability to clean or rinse clothes effectively. As of this date we have had NO direct contact from Maytag. After reading many reviews and noting that I have seen over 700 people which had issues with this machine, I wish that I had never purchased from Maytag. I have had to purchase a new machine to replace this useless Maytag. When I ask a used appliance dealer if he would be interested in purchasing my Maytag Bravos, his reply was, I dont want any Maytag Bravos in my store.I have made an effort to obtain some type of satisfaction from Maytag, but to no avail. I would like 100% refund for this purchase. If Maytag does not meet the expectations of its customers, then I feel that a class action law suit should be started through consumer affairs. When you cant even get a used appliance dealer to purchase a used Maytag Bravos, then there is a real problem with the product. The purchase price was $616.55. A total waste!!

Weve only had the machines for about a year, but so far they operate perfectly. However, the washing machine seems to take much longer to operate than my prior machine and is much noisier. But, the cleanliness of our clothes is great!

As with most other owners I am dissatisfied with the cleaning action of the machine. I suspect, that in an attempt to garner green bonus points, the engineers have tweaked the cleaning water amount to the absolute minimum that may do the job and lengthened the wash cycle to the point that laundry for two average adults is an all day affair. Only get a decent washing job if you make very small loads. If you put a set of king cotton sheet in the machine, you will find that the machine manipulates them into the shape of your compact spare tire, and when you take them out... you will find many sections where the water did not reach... bone dry! Reload, rewash, ground hog day with each load. Cant wait for it to throw a bearing so I can get something else.

I have the model with a smaller oven on top. I use it about 98% of the time so Im not wasting energy having to heat a larger oven space. I also like the fact that I can clean one oven. The larger oven is used when I cook turkeys. I can cook many dishes at a time, by using the smaller oven for dressing or cakes.

We purchased our Maytag Neptune Washer and Dryer approximately 5 years ago. Over the past year or so, Ive noticed an odor coming from our washer and it’s becoming stronger. Water is staying in the drum and there is mold growing on the rubber seal when you open the door.

My Maytag dishwasher is a nightmare. I purchased it in February 2013, started having problems with it turning off a week ago. I spoke with Scott, customer service representative (manager) and he told me that I was sent an email with confirmation. ANOTHER LIE!!!! I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY EMAIL FROM MAYTAG. I would never buy another Maytag appliance.... They DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS. LOUSY CUSTOMER SERVICE... SUB PAR TO SAY THE LEAST!!! Very dissatisfied customer - wasted my time and are not willing to make it right.

We purchased the Maytag MDB8959SAS0 dishwasher about 2.5 years ago. A couple of days ago, the lights on the control panel started blinking and beeping erratically. I contacted Maytag and they said the control board likely needs to be replaced to the tune of around $250, not including labor! We spent $800 on this dishwasher and it cant even last 3 years?? Ridiculous. The only other advice the service rep. had was that we should have bought the extended warranty. Gee, thanks. I guess with Maytag, you really DO need that extended warranty because their products are junk. I think I will just scrap this dishwasher and go with a Bosch. We also have a Maytag range that needed servicing after owning it for only 18 mos. And a Maytag dryer that needed servicing after a month (at least that was under warranty). I will NEVER buy a Maytag product again... they are complete junk.

I love my Maytag washing machine. It have different settings for the wash, also a size load for your washing, and I love the rain cycle. You could do single runs with Downy or extra runs which is great. Especially great if you’re doing blankets and towels you need that extra rains. Great reliable machine. Highly recommended.

Disappointing that a Maytag would be a problem machine. Constantly out of balance when spinning and mediocre cleaning. Now it is spitting oil underneath. Am on my way to buy new machine with agitator.

The fridge is very loud, leaks water from ice maker, runs all the time. I have had two repairman out to try and fix it but still not fixed. It is one year old now. If I could get my $2100.00 back I would take it and run. It so loud we have to turn up the TV so we can hear it. Drives us crazy.

I had a problem with my 1 year old oven. I scheduled an appointment and no one showed up. So I fixed it myself. A week later they called to schedule an appointment and I told them that they were scheduled for last week. So their response was OK, I dont need them anymore - goodbye. The parts are under warranty so I send them the part I replaced myself and the invoice for the cost. I didnt get a response. So 3 months later I send a second letter. Three more months and still no response. I can remember when Maytag had commercials showing their repair sleeping because they had no work to do. Now, their products are failing and their entire service depart is asleep.

I bought a Maytag dishwasher in April 2012. The electronic control panel failed in October 2013. Repair quote was $250, and there is no guarantee that the new control panel will not suffer the same consequences. My research has revealed that this is a very common problem with the dishwasher experienced by a large amount of owners, all about at the 18-month mark. I contacted the company and was chastised for not purchasing the extended warranty and was basically told, Too bad so sad. Buyer beware, do your research before you purchase this appliance. I will never buy a Maytag appliance, or any brand associated with the Maytag name.

I bought this machine about a yr ago. My clothes come out so dirty white spots all over my clothes. Now my bills are higher. Because I cannot afford another washing machine I have to bring them to the laundromat. I saved my money a long time to buy a washer and now I am without one and still paying for this piece of tin that does not work... If I ever get a chance to buy another one it will not be a Maytag. Trust me never never never again!!!!!!!!

We just had the same problem as most of you have posted. The control panel malfunction. Model MDB7749SBM. Our issue started after only 18 months when the dishwasher would start on its own and/or cancel a wash on its own. I think this is a major issue if a home appliance can start on its own from the off position and run through multiple cycles. I think this could be dangerous if you are out of town. Our cost to replace the panel was more than 1/2 of the original purchase price. This is a major defect and should be handled by Maytag if they are a company with any integrity.

This is a Bravos MTC machine. It is a top load and has an energy star rating. Made in the United States. Impressed by its low water usage and Its ability to clean clothes. This particular model comes with a 10 year limited parts warranty, drive motor and washbasket.

I bought a Maytag front load washing machine. We paid $1,100 for this machine. About a month ago, it was making a loud noise. I called them and they said were going to come out and fix it. However, our washing machine did not have a serial number. It had the model number/purchase date, etc, but no serial number. Our drier had it, but not our washing machine. All Appliances stated they could not help us until we had a serial number. We spent around 3 hours on the phone with Maytag, trying to get a serial number. Melinda informed us that we were out of luck, and that there was nothing they could do for us. She stated to call Nebraska Furniture Mart, to get the serial number. We did. NFM does not keep serial numbers. They keep model numbers, and purchase dates, but not the serial number. I called Maytag back, and spoke with Arthur. Within 10 minutes, he gave me a serial number to use. Interesting. In the meantime, I have been without a washing machine for 2 days. I have a load of wash in the machine, because now the wash machine has gotten so bad it is shorting the breaker, and not allowing electricity to the machine. This caused the front door to lock and shut down. Inside the washing machine is a load of clothes. All Appliances now has the serial number to order the parts. The parts were supposed to be here yesterday, Jan. 9th. Surprise, they are on back order until Jan. 13th. I called Maytag to see what they could do regarding me without a washing machine for over 5 days, which could turn into 2 weeks. They simply replied that it takes time to order parts, and there is nothing they can do and apologized. I asked what about me having to go to a laundromat and sit for hours, doing laundry. What about sending me out a loaner, to do laundry until you can get the parts. They again replied; there is nothing they can do.I also stated I spent $1,100 for this front load top of the line, Maytag washing machine, because of its name, and supposedly good quality. They again said there was nothing they could do. They did tell me that the washing tub, the part that we needed, was on back order until January 28th. This puts me at about a month without a washing machine. They stated they would try and locate the part, and have it sent out to my house, not the appliance company that is supposed to fix it, but my house, so that once I did receive it, I could call All Appliances, and set up the time/fixing of the machine. This has been pure hell! Maytag is a joke. I paid a good price for a supposedly good company/machine. They are doing nothing to expedite the parts. They are doing nothing to back their products. They are not even offering compensation for my inconvenience of having to go to a laundromat, or being without a washing machine for over a week, and potentially up to a month.I have been without a washing machine for over a week. I have had a load of laundry locked in the washing machine. I have had to drive to a laundromat to do laundry, which includes time and mileage. I have been informed that the parts are on back order, and now could be up to a month without a washing machine. Maytag is not offering any compensation, no loaner machine, no replacement. Instead, they are just saying, sorry, you have to wait for the parts. I would really like the VPs. and Presidents of Maytag to go without a washing machine for a week, or their families to go without a washing machine for a week, possibly a month, and see what they have to say about that company.
