I purchased a Maytag French Door Refrigerator in July 2011 from Lowes online and had it delivered on August 16, 2011. In September 2011, I could not get the ice maker to work. So I called Lowes and they called in a repairman. He came and replaced a part to fix the problem. I dont have any complaint with his work but here it is, October, and the ice maker makes maybe four ice cubes at a time on a good day.I am really disappointed with this product and according to their commercials, I would like to know which of these techs are setting around doing nothing, maybe he could come and fix my fridge once and for all. I would sure find it difficult to recommend any Maytag appliance as a result of this mess. I could call a repairman myself, but I was under the impression thats what a warranty was for. According to Lowes we are required to call them and they will schedule a repairman or the warranty isnt any good. I replaced a GE French Door with this Maytag, I sure am sorry I chose this Maytag.I know an ice maker problem is minor compared to some of the complaints on this appliance, but when you pay good money for a product you have every right to expect everything about it to work. Im just wondering where these appliances are actually made?

Purchased side-by-side with bottom freezer 2009 after Hurricane Ike. Fridge has stopped cooling. Called Maytag Customer Center and was told nothing can be done only to find theres a 10 year warranty on the compressor. This malfunction should not be an issue after 8 years. My GE fridge still works after 25+ years. Horrible!

I purchased my Maytag Bravos washing machine set in July 2007. In May 2011, I had to have the shocks and another part relating to running a balanced load replaced. I spent about $500 on those repairs. The parts to replace the shocks took more than 6 weeks to arrive! Roughly one year later, the plastic water pump has broken and needs replacing - another $100 part plus labor. I always believed Maytag was a reputable company, but I am very sad at the quality of the product I purchased based on their reputation. They should be ashamed! To date, the dryer has been good - knock on wood!

In August my GE refrigerator of 22 years bit the dust. Went to our local appliance center and purchased this unit for $2100. Have only had it a month and am so dissatisfied with the water dispenser, ice machine and doors, I want to return it. I cant wait for all the other things to go wrong with it. I dont know who the engineer was behind this but he needs to be fired. I really wish I had reviewed this refrigerator before purchasing it as I will never recommend Maytag again after reading all the bad reviews. My stainless steel french door refrigerator started to rust 4-5 months after purchase. Upon contacting Maytag/Whirlpool I was advised that this is cosmetic and the cosmetic portion of my warranty is expired. I am so fed up with my Bravos XL washing machine, that I felt compelled to vent and see if others have the same issue. The first two reviews I read complain of the same thing as I am finding. Some kind of scummy residue on my dark clothes, need to rinse, sometimes soak again to get the residue off. Have tried many different detergents. The guy at the store said try cold water! Yeah right. I use half the amount recommended. We have two boys who play baseball. The seller said this would be a great machine. Id almost consider trying to sell it on Craigslist and buy a good used one with an agitator. Spent a lot of money on a fancy looking machine. Definitely overpriced and overrated. I bought a every expensive Maytag Neptune (washer and dryer one unit) and it is now sitting in the carport. The washer broke and I had to have service people come to my house continuously. Over a period of 6 months I had to pay for 3 motor control boards plus service calls. Thats when I had I moved to the carport. In 2012 I bought a Whirlpool Duet washer and dryer so I would be able to stack them. I had to put them at Sears because I had to use layaway. I paid for them over 12 weeks and had to use a laundromat during that time. Last week I got a F01 E02 error code which means replace motor control board. These boards cost over $300 each not counting the cost to install it.I did talk to Sears since the washer was only bought 4 years ago. They were nice to me but could do anything for me. Truly sad when a washer only lasts 4 years for the amount of money I had to pay to purchase it. I bought a new stainless steel Maytag refrigerator last year. It had a one-year warranty. Wouldnt you know, 14 months after my purchase, the icemaker stopped working. Did not take out the extended warranty, as I thought I had purchased a quality appliance. I contacted the store where I purchased it. Was told it would cost $150 to replace. I have a feeling this appliance wont last very long. Suffice it to say, I will never purchase another Maytag appliance.

Approx. 3 year old Maytag Dishwasher Control Panel lights blinking with Dishwasher inoperable. Repair part (new Control Panel) costs approx. $180 plus tax. When you add the cost of a service repairman you are nearly at the price of a new dishwasher. I am completely unhappy with this Maytag Product and will never buy another Maytag Product again.

Maytag washer leaves clothes more wrinkled after a wash than they were in before being cleaned. And these are not full laundry loads. Then using the Maytag dryer is a joke. Need to run double times or extended times on most of the settings to get them completely dry. When it comes to the wrinkle free setting... what a joke. Clothes might be close to dry but wrinkled. Have always had Maytag products since forever. Tried Samsung for the last set-----washer lasted 6 years and then needed a full overhaul. Cheaper to buy a new set. Went back to Maytag. MISTAKE. Samsung did a lot better job of washing and drying. Now stuck with Maytag until... when? Retired and dont have the funds to get new replacements. Just my opinion though.

I purchased a Maytag Bravo washer and dryer in 2008. I had a repair person out today on both units. I was told that it will cost as much to fix the washer as it would be to purchase a new one. As far as the dryer was concerned, I was told to live with the timer issue rather than replace the expensive mother board. I was also told that the drum bearing issue with the washer is fairly common with the Maytag machines. It looks like the Maytag repairman isnt so lonely anymore! I paid a lot of money for these machines and they amount to a hill of garbage after three years. I may be buying a new washer, but you can bet your boots it wont be Maytag/Whirlpool!

My wife told me yesterday she was getting a f51 code... went on you tube and took the top off and the clothes holder out, found 1 quarter and 3 dimes... put it all back together... same thing... took the back off... hoses off, unplugged it and the allen that holds the motor had backed out... no more maytags for me... Tightened the allen, all is fine for now... my opinion, this should never ever happen... No lock washer anything engineering to prevent this from occurring... My grade: replace the engineer...

I have been very disappointed with the 2017 model of Maytag washer and dryer as the washer does not clean the clothes as it should. There is the inner part taken out with no agitator and I believe that is the reason that the clothes comes out not white or cleans as I am use to it being before with my other machines. I think they need to reinstall the agitator to clean the clothing thoroughly. The dryer takes longer to dry the clothing and it uses more hydro which cost a lot more monthly for us to have to pay out. I will never purchase another washer and dryer as this in the future.

Ice maker not making ice, lights on the temperature controller are all flashing, ice/water dispenser door continuously opens and closes, refrigerator and freezer both do not cool/freeze properly. I purchased a new main control and low voltage board at a total cost of $400 and replaced them to no avail. Nothing changed when electronic boards were replaced.

Bought a Maytag front load washer. When it is operating it is very loud. Some parts of the washer are made of cheap plastic. The Optimum detergent dispenser also of cheap plastic failed after 1 month. Disappointed in finding out only the outside metal box was made in America. All inside components are made in China which raised the cost $300 due to recent tariffs.

We purchased a full house of Maytag appliances to support American Made (ourselves). It is very disappointing that our Maytag dishwasher Model # MBD 89595BW3 has completely quit functioning properly. All the lights came on and nothing worked after that. We contacted Maytag and was told to turn off the power and restart after 2 minutes which did absolutely nothing. No problem - try again. Again, nothing. The disappointment is compounded by the fact that this dishwasher is only 2 years 7 months old. It is too bad that an American Made product didnt last long enough to show any wear and tear. Investigation to repair resulted in cost prohibitive investment. So sorry Maytag, we gave it a shot. Moving on to a more reliable rated brand.

Maytag ser5000 washing machine from hell. When called the customer-service stated over the phone there is bearing problem. When the service-man show up, took one look (approx 50 seconds) at the washing machine (which only 4yrs old), stated he is not touching it and not worth to fix it - get this! Due to bearing! Charged me $200 as standard fee. To put salt on the wound, service-name stated: Ive should told the customer-service bearing problem which is very well known by Maytag! Therefore, save my $200. Note, I will NEVER buy Maytag appliances!!!

I bought the Maytag Bravo XL washer and dryer several years ago after reading many reviews. I like the glass top of the washing machine and the front door glass on the dryer. The dryer is fine its the washing machine that does not perform like the old machines. Whoever came up with the bright idea of saving water by cutting down the volume in your machine to about 6 inches for a good size load probably have never used a washing machine in their life. It does not get your clothes clean and does not get the soap out of a clothing to my satisfaction. Who made this suggestion? Could it be the same branch of government that made everybody use those spiral light bulbs years ago? The fluorescence that give off loads of EMF?

I bought a dishwasher from Maytag model #MDB774SBW0, in 2013, last year prior to the year warranty it broke. The control panel had to be replaced. This year its broken again. Control panel not working properly and its starting to rust on the outside in the corner. Per the company unless the repairman damages it out theres nothing they can do. Havent even used the range yet and the paint is peeling off of the top. I have had the repair guy out. The new top piece of the range arrived with peeling paint also. I put in a claim to have the range replaced and was told they would contact me in 24 to 48 hours. That never happened and so I called again. They said that they would call and, of course, it didnt happen. I paid $1,300 for a stove that looks horrible with the paint is peeling off of it. What kind of ** is Sears selling? Maytag is owned by Whirlpool and nobody wants to make this right.

The Maytag MFI2568AES refrigerators ice maker is broken and we cannot get a replacement unit. Whirlpool who now owns Maytag is of no assistance. The unit is two years old. I understand planned obsolescence but this is ridiculous.

We bought the fridge (MFF2258VEW2) about 5 years ago. We have had nothing but problems. First it was the water leaking all over the floor. The repair man said the drain tube in the back was too small. That was replaced. Then the door gaskets were replaced. The doors still do not stay closed. Again water leaking all over the floor. The bottom of freezer had ice all over it. I had to take the back of the fridge and freezer. For 2 days I had a fan blowing on to defrost it. The door shelves are cracked and falling off. I had to pay for the hooks that hold up the bottom shelf 5 times and again they are broken. The long narrow slide out shelf is broken. Food in the back of the fridge are freezing. I have contacted Maytag a lot and they will not fix the problems. At the same time I bought the fridge I bought a Maytag top load HE washer and a drier. I had to throw out the washing machine last year. It would have cost me too much money to fix it. I will never EVER buy Maytag again.

I purchased a Maytag Top Loader Washer MVWX500XL last May 2011 from Home Depot to replaced our 15-year old GE washing machine. Two weeks ago, it started making horrible noise like a jet engine taking off during spin cycle. I called in the Maytag repairman and was told that the bearing is gone and it will cost $ 493.00 to repair it. He claims that the damage is caused by not using HE detergent exclusively and he refused to leave us a written estimate. We are only three adults in our household and we do our laundry once or twice a week. For this machine to be repaired only after 2 1/2 years of light service and for almost the same cost as a new one, I will never buy another Maytag/Whirlpool products ever again and I will encourage everyone the same.

Love, love this washer. Does an amazing job cleaning colors, whites, and bulky bedding. If you like Tide Pods or other liquid pacs, this might not be the washer for you as they tend to end up inside the gasket. Powder-filled pacs are no problem however.

I have been trying to get my refrigerator repaired for over 5 months through the extended service plan I paid for. They sent out a service repairman. He could not repair the refrigerator without some parts so he ordered parts. We waited months to find out he can not get the part anymore that he ordered. So now Maytag Extended Plans and Service Power said they would have to replace the whole refrigerator but every time I call about it, they give me the runaround and say someone will be calling me back within 48 hours.I never get a call back. I give them a few days, then I call back and get the same runaround again. Im getting nowhere with these people. My refrigerator is a $6,500 refrigerator that Im sure they just dont want to replace or offer me anything for that matter. They should abide by the contract I have with them.

I purchased my Maytag and Im not happy. There is agitator in center and it seems to always tangle up my clothes and has torn several garments. And there is no fabric softener compartment but there is the one for bleach. If I had to do over again I would have several compartments for bleach and softener, and no agitator in center. But I made the purchase and it does clean the clothes but they usually in a ball when and tangled when complete.

Have had this set for about three years (was a gift from my parents on having our first child), and its horrible. Clothes come out partially dry, with NEW stains on them, torn or frayed, and twisted into knots. Its supposed to be a high-efficiency washer but we often have to wash things twice to get them clean. We now have two little boys and Im starting to save to buy a different set (no Maytag ever again); disgusted that I cant even sell this set in good conscience. Will either be a donation or an eyesore for the landfill. Worst $1100 ever spent.

We have had this washing machine almost 1 year and the small problems have grown enormous. In addition to the constant soap residue left on the dark clothes (my guess is its on the light clothes too, but you just cant see it) the washer goes out of balance frequently (they are replacing the suspension, after they said its all working great). The repair man said Im not loading the clothes properly, I need to roll each item of clothing into a ball and then place it in the washer. Are you kidding me, my new machine has special needs? And dont put in too large of loads. What!!! Its an XL capacity but I cant do an extra large load, because half the clothes wont get wet or clean. Maytag blew it big time with these models, I could talk about the dryer too. Maybe next time.

I bought a Maytag washing machine, model number MHW6630HW2 in January 2021. It works fine on ordinary loads, but it cannot spin the water out of bulky items, not on any setting. I put my machine-washable winter coat in the washer and it left it full of water. I re-tried on 4 different settings, and though the washer spins, it cant spin out the water. I went to the Maytag support site. The sites said my model doesnt exist. The phone number for support does not allow you to get any support other than a service call. The Chat option doesnt give a lot of support either. They said that if I call for a service appointment and the service technician finds that the machine does do a spin cycle, then the appointment is not covered under warranty.

This Bravos top load was supposed to be energy efficient but after leaking and getting a repair estimate ($79) the technician informed me that the ring and putter tub (all cheap plastic) had several large holes in thin caused by an uneven load. Total cost of repair was $517 for a $900 washer after 3 years. He suggested that the Maytag was junk and that I buy a speed queen...LOL. When I called Maytag of course they lied and said they were not aware of any problems and would not help with the cost of repairs. Can everyone say Class Action Lawsuit...Shame on Maytag! DO NOT BUY THIS washing machine!

I emailed Maytag https://www.maytag.com/contact-us/ about my model number MBL2258XES3 Fridge on Dec 31. They scheduled a local appliance repair company and they came out today, Jan 5 and did the repair and defrosted the compressor and freezer compartment. 45 Mins is all it took. Thanks Maytag.

Nineteen-month-old dishwasher was repaired once while under warranty; 6 months later, same problem. They said they would send me a new part but I would pay for labor. I wasn’t happy but I agreed. I am being forced to use their people and pay first before the part is received and before the work is done. They said this is their procedure. If I must pay labor, I should be allowed to use whom I want. It is absurd asking for payment before job is done when the part is free. I have since checked the complaints, and there are over 200, with one woman on her fourth control panel – I will be on my second one. I feel this machine should be replaced free of charge. Its obviously a lemon!

Maytag Dishwasher Model MDB 7749SAM0 - Bought this dishwasher from Lowes in 2012 for my daughter and son-in-laws new home. Thought I was making a good choice with Maytag. Wrong. Same control board problem that everyone else is having. Wiring ribbon is corroded and shorted. Why is this not a re-call? I will call Maytag and Lowes and complain, but likely will get no justice. Sounds like I should just bring this machine to the dump and take my losses.

Had our house built in 2009 and the builder carry Maytag Appliances. After 3 years every single appliances start giving us problems. First the refrigerator not getting cold, got it fixed. Then the dishwasher panel, then the built-in microwave, then washing machine. Just the other day the refrigerator broke down again and I was told the compressor was bad. Really? I purchased this washer in January 2017 at our local Home Depot here in Mexico. It was a washer/dryer combo. Now, in July, a mere 6 months and only a few wash loads later, it has gone from the worst machine I have ever owned to what I consider to be garbage material. First of all, it boasts about not using much water. This is true... Only 1/4 of your load is in the 3 inches of water at the bottom of the machine and the top 3/4 never even gets wet. I couldnt believe it. Now, I put 2 sheets in this morning and it fills almost to the point of spilling out, though I have to give it credit for shutting off the water before it actually did so. This is a NEW washing machine!!! I, along with a lot of other folks from what I am now discovering, are all in the same boat. I remember Maytag being a mark of excellence way back in the day... This is no longer the case. Stay away from this company... I know I will.

We purchased a Maytag washer model MVWC400XWO almost 2 years ago and it has problems with the bearings and the whole computer board is defective. I was told to buy the extended warranty for $350, which we did. As of today, we were told by extended warranty they are refunding our money because there are so many things wrong with this washer, including the whole computer board, that it would cost them too much to fix or replace it. Im in complete shock. We paid well over $500 and are still making payments on it. I spent the day reading hundreds of reviews from people with these exact same problems and Maytag is aware of it and will not help. They should not be selling these anymore. Im completely sick to my stomach. I cant afford another washer and when I called Maytag, they said it was past the year and we are out of luck. We bought a Maytag Bravos three and a half years ago. We always tried to follow instructions for the machine. Only used he detergent, used the affresh, tried not to overload the machine etc. Had to call a repairman. Our washing machine started leaking water at the bottom. Hoping that it is only a three machine it would be fixable. Bad news the repairs would be over $600.00. It needs a new tub seal and bearings. For a THREE YEAR OLD washing machine! The repairman and I had quite a talk about appliances. He said they just dont make them to last anymore and the companies such as Whirlpool, Maytag, etc. do on purpose and they get away with it. Its the worst experience I have ever had with any product. I grew up watching the Maytag man as a child and thinking that must be a top of the line product. Boy was I wrong. I went out six years ago when I purchased my new home and purchased for 1,550.00 a brand new refrigerator with side by side, and ice maker on the bottom, silver in color. It looked great, the quality was and is terrible. The freezer stopped freezing a couple of days after the first year was up. The Service department at Maytag is terrible, I called them for assistance and they were anything but helpful rude is a better word. Its been a nightmare! Dissatisfied with the poor performance of the Deep Water cycle of Maytag Model #MVWX655DW0. Cycle produces low water thereby resulting in inadequate cleaning of clothes. Choosing another cycle to wash a particular load doesnt match what is recommended.

We just received a Maytag delivered by Home Depot. THe box the diswasher came in was soaking wet. I called within 30 mins of delivery to report this. Home Depot called and Maytag refuses to replace the diswasher stating that it comes wrapped. No it does not, the diswasher and insulation were soaking wet. Maytags response is just let it air out. So Im supposed to air out a 470.00 brand new dishwasher. Home Depot is also getting its one star review for refusing to replace it and letting the third party contractor get away with delivering a damaged unit.

Washer knots clothes into unmanageable tangle. Poor rinse leaves soap scum unless rinse extra, thus not conserving water as appliance is supposed to do. Load easily becomes unbalanced and unable to restart machine if paused to rebalance load. Will never buy another Maytag washer or dryer.

We purchased our Maytag through Sears. We wanted a very basic machine, and thats what we found at Sears, yay! Fast forward eight years and it suddenly quit agitating. We tried fixing it ourselves by replacing a plastic gear part, which, later on our appliance technician said was totally logical, but it still wouldnt work. We got our appliance repairman out here and he took it into the shop and fixed the problem, which turned out to be part of the motor or something like that. The thing that bothers me the most is that he asked if we had bought a refurbished washer, but we hadnt, it was brand new. He gave us a part that was swapped out that wasnt made for the machine and also said the safety guard for the cord was missing. This keeps it from pulling out of the machine in case it gets jerked. I feel deceived and just wanted to vent because there really isnt anything I can do about it now. Buyer beware, yes, but I know we have to be our own technician sleuths to be sure were getting what we paid for?

Purchased new Maytag washing machine July 17, 2011. Have had several problems with it over the past three years. Most of the time it would not complete a load of laundry and would get stuck before the drain and spin cycle. Last week, the spin cycle became extremely loud. Had a repair person come out and was told the motor bearings were bad. Estimated repair cost $700. Purchased this unit new for $569.00. Called Maytag, was told that 10-year warranty on drive motor and wash basket did NOT include the bearings. Asked if they could help out with repair cost, was told no. Will never purchase another Maytag product again as they do not stand behind their products. Household has 4 people in it so use of this machine was light to medium.

I purchased my Maytag Centennial Commercial Technology MVWC200XW in May 2012. This is the second time in almost 3 years that it breaks down. The basket decided to drop today and by the time I realized that it did, my whole bathroom had flooded, the water spread down the hall into my spare bedroom and soaked through the floor, also flooding my basement. I called customer service. They are sending a repair man next week, but as for all my ceramic tiles that are now cracked in my bathroom and my hardwood in the hall and bedroom that is full of water and are lifting off the ground. Its my responsibility to call my insurances to fix it. Yet it was their washing machine that caused the damage in the first place. When I purchased the washer I didnt expect to have to repair it every year. Not impressed! I do not recommend this washer.

Maytag Bravos Quiet Series 300 washer/dryer - Purchased this set nearly 3 years ago from Lowes. The washing machine smells like toxic sewage. The Affresh brand cleaner no longer works. All of our towels and many of our clothing items have had to be replaced due to the stench. I surmise this is because it does not use enough water. The clothes get wrinkled badly, twisted, stretched out and torn. The dryer does not fully dry. Always had to run it again to get the items dry. Finally, it started making a horrible, loud, screeching and grinding sound. Neither the washer or dryer was quiet for long. Putting these out on my curb today for scrap metal pickup.

Worst washer ever. My clothes I have to wash a few times before they all get wet. Not a good washer at all. Has all the bells and whistles. Lets me know when the washer is done or its unbalanced... my washer is crap. Ive had it maybe a year now. I now have to buy another one. Why? I purchased a Maytag washer on 7/23/11 from HHGregg. The salesperson told us they would highly recommend the new (HE) washer and said that everyone will start selling these only. So I bought your Maytag HE washer Centennial commercial brand. My complaint is my clothes dont seem to get clean. I have started putting less clothes in each load to see if that would help and it does not seem to help. When my clothes still come out smelling like my perfume and there are dry spots on my clothes, this tells me my clothes are not getting cleaned. I also have very sensitive skin. If my clothes were not rinsed good enough, I itch very bad. I called the store I bought this at and the salesperson I spoke with also said there were other complaints about HE washers. I wish I would have never bought a (HE) washer.

MHW7100DW Maytag Washer Steam & YMED7100DW Maytag Dryer Steam. Both of them are easy to use. They hold lots of clothing as well as bedding and many different settings. They both do an excellent job. Brand and excellent reputation. Had my last Maytag washer & dryer over 25-years and had no problems with either. Thats why I bought Maytag again. Repairs are very costly when you have to pay technicians. Dont like poor quality construction or enamel chipping when you place items on them. Very easy to clean both of them. Practically no lint dust emitted into the room from the dryer. Had no problems with my previous washer & dryer. Thats why I purchased a full size Maytag washer and dryer again.

The engineering of all these new machines are totally useless. Bring back the old tech. They DRY wash, NO WATER, they take forever to finish, wasting energy, clothing not cleaned. They are very noisy, doing nothing. Time to recall all of these units. They are totally useless.

I purchased the subject Maytag washer (MHWE201YW-3.5 CU FT WHT FRNT LD WSHR) from Home Depot in December of 2012. I got exactly 1 year of use and then the washer stopped working. I called the Home Depot repair person who came and repaired the unit. The repair lasted two weeks and the washer stopped working again. Because the unit was no longer under its 1-yr warranty the Home Depot repair person was not available for repair. Another independent Maytag repair person came and evaluated to problem. He said the computer which is located on the motor was no good and to the tune of over $400.00 (parts and labor) a new motor was purchased and installed. It lasted two months and it quit working again. After several months I was finally able to contact the original Home Depot repair person for one visit. He said he would check the code message and get back to me. I never heard from him again. I have been taking my laundry to the laundromat ever since and it is getting expensive. I dont want to spend another $400 on this machine as it will only break again. What do you recommend?

I wrecked on a bike, had surgery and in a wheelchair. I bought and had a Maytag dishwasher delivered from Beaumont Home Depot and this mdb7749sbw2 model never never worked. Home Depot told me I had to bring it back myself (Im in a wheelchair at the months that was impossible) and I called Maytag warranty. They sent a tech. He replaced a front power panel that didnt work. They sent out two more techs and they said use other soap Lemi Shine and the other guy said use Finish and turn your hot water heater all the way up. That never worked either. I have had this a yr and it just sit there and money in the trash. It makes me sick.

We inherited this Maytag (Model MGR7662WW) when we bought our house this year. I love this unit. It cooks accurately, its easy to clean and its just rock solid in its performance. I never worry that the cook times are going to be off either. The oven racks are solid and the overall look is nice. Our friends and family love the center grill as much as we do. If I need to pull something off the burner I dont worry that Ill scratch the stove top with this feature. The oven heat is also pretty contained. Our old oven radiated lots of heat through the top. This one doesnt and thats a huge plus. The only reason Im not giving it 5 stars is that the grills are cracking (not the center one). However, I have no way of knowing if the original buyer damaged them or if its a defect in materials. They still work fine but I will need to replace them at some point. Given the cost of replacing them Ill wait as long as I can.

I will never buy a Maytag dishwasher again. I purchased it on 05/05/07 for $500.00. It’s quiet series 300 MDB6601AWQ. After 3 years of use, the control panel is completely dead. It was only working on one setting for the last year.

Three-year-old top load Bravos. Started doing the LD/SD tango about one year ago. Intermittent fault, but becoming more prevalent. Can spend an entire day attempting to finish one load; sometimes must be unplugged overnight to clear faults. Washer receives heavy use from extended family of five adults and two children but has never been overloaded. Machine is horribly flimsy and constructed of the cheapest possible materials. I wish I had removed the back prior to purchase.Just because it is possible to attach a processor to a piece of equipment doesnt mean its necessarily a great idea. Any geek can tell you that the three things most despised by a digital device are heat, humidity, and vibration. A washing machine by definition is an epicenter, a breeding ground, for those specific environmental factors. Well done, Maytag. Ive had this Maytag for more than 15 years and it still works well. Its a basic fridge, no special features. Just keeps food cold or frozen. Freezer at top, fruit & veggie bins at bottom, cheese bin. No problems, good performance.

I renovated my kitchen 3 years ago. I decided on purchasing new appliances which included refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, range, washer and dryer, all of which I got from Maytag. Of course they were always known for dependability but apparently they were not! What happened to this American product? In the last 3 years, I have had my refrigerator (**) serviced 4 times for the same problem. Each time servicing has been a nightmare at the hands of AE service, Preway service and of course at the helm of my nightmare Maytag Customer service. The first mistake I made was purchasing Maytag products followed by the second mistake of purchasing Maytag service contracts. I now have a refrigerator that is not working, waiting on parts since end of august. When I called Maytag customer service, they confirmed the parts were not available and recommended I go online and try to find the part! This added insult to injury. Today, Preway service finally came to install my parts and upon technician’s arrival he opens the part box and realizes he ordered an ice tray cover, when he should have ordered an Interface Control Board. Maytag continues to have their products serviced by incompetent companies and appears to have no interest in keeping you as a customer after you purchase, whatever happen to the dependable people?Maytag had built their reputation on reliable products and dependable service, what happened to this American Made appliance? Here is a prime example of what happened, and why companies like LG and Samsung are gaining more and more customers every day. The best advice I can give someone is avoid Maytag. By the way, I forgot to mention I have 2 small children ages 3 and 4 and Maytag is not concerned about how I would provide food for them with a refrigerator that does not work. Shame! Purchased a Maytag refrigerator in July 2011. The compressor failed May of 2013. After many phone calls to Maytag they replaced the parts (compressor) - my cost for labor (aprox $300.00). 30 days later, the service company had to repair a leak and recharge the system. March of 2015 the compressor failed again. Have spoken to Maytag (case # **) - they will provide no help what so ever. I was told I should have purchased an extended warranty.

It’s really quiet and it cleans the dishes, pots, glasses on just 1 cycle and I’ve had it loaded more than one time. I do use rinse aid and I do occasionally use dishwasher cleaner. On May 23, 2009, I purchased a Maytag bottom mount refrigerator even though I knew that Maytag had many problems with this product and others. I innocently thought that by the year 2009, all their problems would have been taken care of - I was wrong. On April 2, 2011, the freezer part of the refrigerator was not defrosting. I had to make a service call to replace the control board. On March 3, 2013, the regular part of the refrigerator was not cooling. I had to make a service call to replace the control board.Complaining to Whirlpool is a waste of time. The best answer I have received is, I am sorry. There is no end to the garbage Whirlpool is manufacturing and by my experience they dont care. Why dont we, the consumers, hire a lawyer and start a class action suit to let Whirlpool know we are fed up with being ripped off?

Maytag dishwasher does not clean dishes. It has hot water and we have had a repairman look at it and he said water jets working. We have to wash all our dishes by hand before loading them into the dishwasher to sanitize.

My washer is 3 years old, it sounds as though an earthquake is rocking my laundry room during the addition of water, rinse, and spin cycles. Cleanliness only when washed twice, along with the washer stopping at 12 minutes because of UL signal (unbalanced) - this happens even when I have a small load. The dryer does dry clothes however along with tons of Lint stuck to my clothes. I empty the lint screen after EVERY dry cycle. Have had repairman who charged me $70.00 and said he could not fix the washer.

OK, Im at wits end. I bought a very expensive Maytag Gemini range four years ago. Since then, I have replaced 10 burner valves. There are only five of them. They have each been replaced twice, and tonight yet another has broken. This time it is broken in the ON position, which means I cant have the range on without that burner on. It means unplugging it when not in use and lighting the burner with a match when I re-plug the stove, until I get it fixed. I had just replaced valve number 10 on Tuesday, and had a fully working range for only 5 days. These valves are under warranty but the labor is not, and it is always close to $200 to have someone come out to replace them. I cant afford a new stove and I cant afford to keep having these defective valves replace.

We purchased this machine (Bravos XL top load washer) in August and its been nothing short of a disaster. It doesnt clean anything. Within two washes my cloth diapers were unusable, loaded with ammonia and stains. Our camping clothes wreaked of smoke. I tried multiple cycles, more detergent, less detergent, larger loads, smaller loads. Doesnt matter. It doesnt clean. I called customer service within a week and waited 6 weeks for a service call. Into third trimester of pregnancy and recovering from an MVA, I was washing soiled clothing by hand in bathtub desperate for help. I only wish Id known about their 30 day money back guarantee. After many calls, no shows and cancelled appointments, the first tech comes. He tells me the machine is fine. They just dont clean well. Hes not surprised. I call the appliance shop, they said the same thing. That they wouldnt have sold me the machine if they knew I had dirty laundry to wash. (Who washes clean laundry?). They wont help us. We call Maytag back. They send another tech. He says the same thing. Tells us to keep complaining to Maytag. I call again and they tell me that if I want a service tech, I have to pay. Theyve deleted all my feedback from their social media site and refuse to provide any assistance. The machine is nice looking and makes big promises but thats where it ends. Save your money. Youll get better results with your grandmas washboard.

We purchased a Maytag Top Load 5.4 cu ft efficiency washing machine. May 2019. It was making a funny noise already mid October and we had 8 parts replaced. After that it completely stopped working. We have been without a working washing machine for 2 months now. The technician has been to our house 4 times. When he came on Dec 31st to replace the mother board, that didnt solve the problem. He says the washing machine can not be repaired. We have been fighting with Maytag Canada and Lowes since the beginning of December. Neither company cares. We will never own another Maytag product. I bought a Maytag dishwasher MDB7749AWM1 in May of 2011. Yesterday, the on button would not work, so I called a serviceman out from Maytag. He said the whole panel needs to be replaced, parts and service will cost me $240.00. What a shame. 2 months out of warranty. I had two previous Maytag dishwashers, lasted for years with no problem. I have had trouble since I bought the Maytag Bravo washer. It first started out with the motherboard putting up crazy numbers. It took 2 different motherboards before that problem was fixed. Then it started with not wanting to drain; that was caused from the washer machine sucking up small clothes items in the drain plug. I had to call the Maytag repairman 4 times until I was told I had to put the small items in a laundry bag for this to stop. Now it is going off level on every wash, even when it has only 2 pieces of clothes in the machine. I am about ready to throw it out. Btw, all of my appliances are Maytag and I will never buy another Maytag appliance again or I will never recommend a Maytag to anyone.

I bought a Neptune Washer in 1999. 6 years later (2005), it started making the 747 landing noise. It was implied that somehow it was our fault, maybe, something from my contractor husbands pocket. After all, it was a Maytag, and surely there could be no design or engineering flaw! (My daughter still has 34-yr.old one.) We were told the repairs would be so expensive. It would be wiser to buy a new one. Foolish me, I bought another Neptune to match my dryer. Of course, now this one has the same bearing problem and again its cheaper to buy a new washer. I am angry and not sure how to proceed. Any washer, but especially a Maytag, should last more than 5 - 6 years. I should not have to buy my 3rd washer in 12 years. And if I do, it certainly wont be a Maytag!

We purchased our French Door, bottom freezer in April 2010 after a renovation. We have loved it besides needing more refrigerated space. This past weekend I noticed the appliance was cutting off and a few seconds later coming back on. It has an outside ice and water dispenser as well and the lights will blink on and off of course when the fridge cut off. Called for a repair and when the repairman called in the parts he was told he needed 2 computer boards. One was available however the other was discontinued and they would not allow him to just replace the one board. The fridge cost us $1798.00 from Home Depot. I cant believe how irresponsible Maytag is in this case. I have a kitchen full of MAYTAG appliances and have loved them all. But this is unacceptable. The Maytag fridge I had before was 16 years old. I gave it to a family member when we bought this one and that one just broke down last year so it was 21 years old! Whats up MAYTAG?

I bought my Maytag Model LA608 washer in 1976. It has very few electronics and a mechanical timer. It has been used every week since then for 2 or 3 people. It has had 3 problems in its lifetime. I replaced the 2 valves that control the hot and cold water entering the machine. I replaced a small plastic sprayer part. And last year I replaced 3 clamps that rusted and started to leak. Thats it in 40 years. I was able to open up the front and back covers to get at the parts quite easily.It is a simple machine with almost no electronics to stop working. Nothing bothers me about the machine. Its simple and wonderful. When it finally breaks, I will try and find a good sized machine that washes permanent press and regular clothes, has a controller to select hot/cold/warm water temperatures, has a regular and gentle cycle, and has 3 load levels for the water to be used. I will try to find one that is good quality with few electronic parts. I will not buy a high efficiency model that uses less water as I am on a well and water shortage is not a problem where I live. I will not buy a front loading model.I would not buy a machine that has options that I do not need. I would hope to find a quality machine similar to what I have now. I would read as many ratings about the various models before making a selection and then I would cross my fingers and hope for the best. If it is possible, try and find a good quality machine that will be dependable over time. Buy a basic machine with only the options that you really need. There will be fewer parts to stop working.

We have had our washing machine for about 6 months, we got the F3 E6 error code. After doing some research, we found out that the control module was what we needed to replace. My husband and I called both Maytag and Lowe’s, (the store we purchased the washer from). We have been given the runaround. After talking with several managers in the Lowe’s warranty department, we were told that we had to contact Maytag directly about that particular problem. Okay, no big deal. We called and every single time we were put on hold for at least 30 minutes before we were hung up on. Not once did we even get to speak to a person. If we don’t get a response and our problem doesn’t get fixed, I will be going to the Better Business Bureau.

Purchased a Maytag Bravos washer in 2009. Was told it was water efficient and electric efficient also. Spin cycle twisted my clothes in a knot and left white blotchy doors on my dark clothes, had to rewash my clothes again!!! March 7th. My refrigerator ice door started flapping and the lights flickering. The next day it quit working. I called Maytag. They said they would have someone come fix it the next week. The repair service people called me back the same day to tell me that the part I needed has been on back order for 2 months. I called Maytag back. They told me to wait a week they put out an all alert for the part. I called back in a week. Now they tell me its 2 months. This is ridiculous and a huge inconvenience. I will not buy anything again from Maytag. $2,800.00 refrigerator should last a minimum of 20 years. This should be a recall. Thousands of people are having this problem.

I bought this Maytag French door model MFF2258VEW2 in 2010. Within the first year, it was freezing my vegetables. They sent someone out to fix it. Thank goodness it was under warranty. The man laid the bill down and it was over $800 to fix it. Six months later, it froze up. I called and they said they would send someone out, but I would have to pay for it. Im on disability and cant pay that kind of money. I got someone to come out and fix it. Well, guess what? It has started freezing my vegetables again. This is the third time this thing has gone bad. What do these people think they are doing putting things out like this? I had a Maytag for 30 years and never had any problem with it. So I saved and saved to get me a new one but I will never buy another Maytag. The company should have to replace all the refrigerators that are like this one.

My husband and I purchased a Maytag stainless steel French door/freezer bottom ice making fridge from Hhgregg in Brown Deer, WI and 8 months later (now), Ive been told that my food that is spoiled, cant be replaced and my service for the fridge wont be done until next week! I have 5 kids and a husband. This has turned our world upside down. I called them and spoke to a Nicole and she said they cant do anything for us, but we can try to contact the diamond repair service at 269-927-2519 to see if they can get us in sooner. I asked for a refund for the fridge and she said no, the 10 warranty only counts for repairs... I am so angry that I didnt research Maytag before now. I gave the Whirlpool fridge to the delivery guys of Hhgregg and I had that for 18 years and it never went out on me. If anyone is reading this and is upset as well, let us get together and start a class action suit!

After a year or so my Maytag fridge is leaking, I followed instructions on how to remove ice clogging the drain pipe and fixed the problem. I see that this problem is going to repeat over and over again for the life of this unit, because of a poor design.The design fix will be to add a small heater (at the location where the ice creates the clog) actuated periodically by the control board, or at least with a manual push button for the user can easily remove press the button to melt the ice clogging the pipe. This is a cheap design which did not go through design validation and qualification.

This unit was a poor value for us. I see the trend is to discontinue a model after a short period of time, making it impossible for anyone to get a review of other peoples experiences. I went with Maytag because of this. It was a company with a strong reputation for quality equipment. Not so anymore. I would not purchase another product made by Maytag.

This model MGR5875QDW range is very difficult to use. When you press broil for instance, the display says set. There is absolutely no indication of how to set. Therefore, no broil. The same thing happens when you try to use the clean function. It is virtually impossible to use the control panel; it is just too difficult. Therefore, most of the functions are not usable.The kicker though is that the handle comes off. During the extended warranty period, a technician came out and fixed it. The toughest part of this job is to get the oven door back on. I tried for 2 hours everything I could think of. Then, I got an idea to use Maytags live chat. They told me that I would have to call for service and pay for a service call to get the door back on. I told them that their clean cycle is too painful to use, so I am assuming I am not the only one who has removed the door to clean the oven. Pay for a service call every time I want to clean my oven or fix their defective handle design because the handle falls off every 2 years? That is not acceptable.

Maytag Bravos MVWB725BW - Purchased this washer last year and have been very unhappy with the way it washes. It is extremely harsh in the way the agitator moves the clothes. Because it has a low water level the clothes take quite a beating in the washing process. This is confirmed when I remove the clothes from the dryer and proceed to clean the lint filter. The filter is constantly full of lint, even after drying clothes that have been washed numerous times before. Additionally, the clothes, even though being put in evenly, end up bunching together.

First off, the drum split apart on the dryer. The drum part was not in this country, so instead of going ahead and replacing the clothes dryer, they told me to hang the clothes outside for six weeks or whenever the part comes in. That was three months after owning the piece of junk. I was having a bad day already, so I basically completely lost it. Im surprised I didnt get arrested for that. I wont ever lose my temper like that again. The clothes always smell bad, and sometimes really bad. Now, I find out that both washer and dryer could cause a fire. They are sending us a couple of really cheap GFCIs to keep them from a liability issue. Maytag is the absolute worst!

This new refrigerator, which was delivered to my house on 9/20/17, is so loud that I cannot have a conversation in my kitchen. It is supposed to be energy efficient. I do not know how that is possible as it runs 50 out of every 60 minutes. I contacted their customer service about this appliance. They repeatedly put me on hold or disconnected me. If I could give lower than one star, I would. Learn from my mistake - dont purchase from this company.

I am submitting this review today to express my disappointment with my Maytag washer. This is the Maytag MVWX655DW (Bravo), with Serial# C61842055. In August of 2016 I lost many treasured items due to a flood in Lafayette, Louisiana. My daughter and I were devastated and displaced because of this event. This is also in addition to completing Cancer treatment 2 days before the flood.I lost my GE washer which was a great product. It was a struggle for a long time, but we were finally get back on our feet. I was able to get another place to live, and it was time to purchase a washer. I was told that Maytag was one of the best products on the market, so I decided to purchase my first Maytag washer. This did not turn out well for me, and it was very disappointing. After 9 months of ownership of this product, it is broken! It is my belief that the product may have been defective.I put in a service call, and had a repairman come to my apartment on June 19th. I was told that my washer needs several parts to repair it, including a pump. I have never had this issue with prior washers. My previous washer before my GE purchase survived for over 10 years before it has had any issues. I called on June 26th to ask about Maytag issuing me a new washer or a full refund, instead of repairing this faulty product. I was told no, and was offered and extended warranty for 6 more months and $75.00. I expressed to her that I would rather have a new washer.The Bravo Washer is a very bad product. Instead of taking advantage of customers, Maytag needs to stand by that 10 year warranty sticker on the washer. Please understand this purchase is a LEMON. This washer did not last a year. After all I have been through, I did not need this financial hardship. In the long run, this product will die again. Unfortunately for me I may not be able to afford to purchase another washer. I am still getting follow-up treatment for my Cancer, and it is very expensive. Can someone please re-evaluate the need for a replacement washer or offer me a full refund? This product should not be broken after only 9 months of service.

I purchased the washer 12 months ago. I liked large tub size and Maytag name. Thought I had made a good purchase. Boy am I am sorry. The washer overflows my large utility sink for drainage on large load setting and clean setting, ruining the flooring in an adjoining room. You cant wash black clothes in it leave white residue spots all over clothing. You cant use pod soap. Doesnt dissolve totally. Just on your clothing so you must wash again. I purchased the Maytag Neptune pair in 2002 and was never informed of the product recall/class action lawsuit for the washing machine which occurred sometime around 2004-2005. We have had many problems with our washing machine over the years and ruined many clothes with what appears to be bleach stains, even though no bleach was used in the cycle of wash. I had to replace the board which controls the latch on the door and the clothes that are washed are not clean and have an undesirable odor to them. I would have been part of this class action; however, I was never informed of the lawsuit. I called Maytag today and they advised I could set up an appointment with a service person; they did not want to honor my complaint as the class action lawsuit has been resolved and they are not handling these types of complaints anymore. My children have started a new school after semester break and their brand new uniforms are now becoming ruined due to this defective machine that Maytag will not take responsibility for. What type of recourse do I have? I will never purchase a Maytag anything if this is how they treat their customers. Problem will not go away by hiding their head in the sand. Now I have to go out and purchase a new washing machine because Maytag didnt inform their customers of the inherent defect in their product and take care of them accordingly.

The refrigerator is not keeping cold. The freezer is full of frost/ice. I had this fridge looked at twice in the past. Its about 6-7 years old.In the past, Maytag was considered a high end product. I wonder where the manufacturing is taking place for most of the parts. Could be it was cheaper to go overseas and now we are all paying for unacceptable products.I will never purchase Maytag. Maytag should be selling products they can stand behind! Products that are made in the USA, where our standards are higher and we expect products that work!

My washer is less than 3 years old when I noticed the bleach dispenser has filled with water. I soaked the water out with a towel only to have it fill again the next time I washed. This in addition to the feeling I have that too much soap is left in clothes and spot removal is pretty consistently negligible.

My Maytag refrigerator was purchased from Home Depot less than 3 years ago. It is a French door, bottom freezer draw model #MFI2569VEA1. Every four days, there is a huge puddle of water at the base of the unit and it is starting to ruin my ceramic tiles. I tried the online video solutions to no avail. Home Depot wont repair it, they told me to contact Maytag. Maytag wants me to purchase a $375 warranty, which is 30% of what I paid for the refrigerator. I will never buy a Maytag refrigerator again, or any Maytag product for that matter. They once stood for solid reliability and peace of mind, now you get a piece of junk instead. I cant even sell it on Craigslist if I wanted to because who would want it? If a class action suit is ever initiated, Ill be on board. I hope Consumer Affairs contacts me.

Good deal, recommended by dealer friend. Front loaders, high efficiency, 12 years or so. Finally needs new bearings on the washer. Replaced electronic board 5 years ago. High repair costs would be the worst which is related to low-quality construction. I expect my next pair to last as long as the last 1. Full size, not stackable but oversized drums. Relatively low water usage, lots of different settings for different loads for washing and drying, automatic water level and wrinkle guard.

I purchased a Maytag Dishwasher, Model MBD7609AWW2 from our local (small) Sears store in late 2011. I purchased Maytag because of reputation and experience with the brand. In June 2014 the control panel failed. I replaced it myself and the dishwasher worked fine for a little over two months. Today, it has stopped working again and the control panel again has gone bad and has to be replaced. Sadly, the dishwasher is great in cleaning dishes. I have only had to rewash maybe one or two items in the time that Ive had it. I purchased Maytag because my previous dishwasher was a Maytag that lasted 20 years. Granted I did have to change the belt twice but it was an easy fix. Ive tried repeatedly to contact Maytag today but they are experiencing extremely high call volume... HA! I wonder why? The dishwasher was warrantied for a year and based on the experiences I have read about online, this model was apparently an absolute failure. No more Maytag anything for me... I guess the Maytag Repairman is bored because Maytag doesnt stand behind their appliances.... anymore...

I bought all new Maytag appliances for a new house built 2 years ago. The oven fan, while in warranty, began coming on in the middle of the night. It would turn on, cancel, began not working, and then the ticking noise began. Maytag sent 5 different service people out, sometimes without the part. We are afraid to use it now and have turned off the breaker for it. Now, it is turning itself back on again. Maytag says we must now pay for any repairs/service calls as it is out of warranty. It was not out of warranty when all these troubles began.I called Maytag customer service today and could not have talked to a less customer friendly person. She didnt care that it was in warranty when the trouble began. It is out now and is our problem. There is no one else but her we can talk to about it. She is the decision maker. What experiences has anyone had with trying to call the president of Whirlpool, or filing a small claims court action? Any help is appreciated. Who is going to cook our Thanksgiving turkey?

A month ago I purchased a 25 cu ft side by side. First the recirculating fan quit. It was repaired. But the water and ice hose in the door froze and cracked the entire freezer door. Must be replaced, unfortunately they dont have any, so I was quoted 6 weeks for a new door, that has turned into 12 weeks and they cant guarantee me a date. I requested a replacement fridge and was told, They cant do that. I purchased the full Maytag package - stove, dishwasher, microwave. I expect better customer service than that, Take a door off the assembly line and ship it to me.
