We purchased a complete, upper-end Maytag kitchen package from Lowes. So far, the MMV5208WS microwave has gone out 3 times; it was the magnetron all 3 times. The last time was a few weeks after the warranty ran out. After a lot of discussions with Lowes management, they then took it back and gave me choice of any brand. We picked a Samsung and have had no problems so far.As for the MDB8859AWS dishwasher, it was just stuck under the counter for the first 6 months of its life, because we were in the middle of a remodel and it wasnt plumbed in yet. Once we got it working, my wife loved it. Weve used it maybe 40-50 times since she was still hand-washing small sink-loads of dishes. A month or so out of warranty, it went out. There were no lights on the keypad and everything was dead. We thought it was the main control board, but it wasnt. Next, I tried the keypad, because Ive read many posts about these 2 things seeming to always go out on these models. I still have the fridge and stove, and hopefully they fare better than the microwave and dishwasher.What kills me is when I look at my old Maytag dishwasher and Samsung counter top microwave in the garage; both 15-20 years old and still worked just fine after getting replaced. It has never had a repair of any kind. I went out and spent $639.00 (it was on sale, the regular price was $799) on a ** dishwasher and it didnt even last a year. The microwave was close to $400, and it was on sale. I think my old Samsung microwave cost $79.99 when I bought it. You used to get what you paid for!

Bravos XL washing machine is the worst washer I have ever used. IT DOESNT GET THE CLOTHES CLEAN! There is not enough water when filling up, and you cant control it. I put a load of dog blankets in the washer and at the end, they were in the same order as I put them in; they hadnt moved! All the stains were still there and there was soap scum everywhere. Also, while I appreciate a large drum, it is so large that I cant even reach down to get the clothes on the bottom, I have to use a stick to get them up. I am so irritated that I spent $1636 for the washer and dryer (dryer works fine but same trouble with the huge drum). I got mine from Sears online after checking the Consumer Reports which put it in the top 5 washers!!! Dont buy this washer. Waste of money. Will probably just have to throw it out and its brand new.

First of all, Whirlpool owns the Maytag brand. Ive seen a few reviewers on here say I will never buy Maytag! Im buying Whirlpool from now on! I picture the executives smiling and nodding, Good. Maytag used to be great - machines lasted 20 years or more. Now they last about three. After one year, the paint on the washer was bubbling and coming off, and now its starting to rust. The warranty doesnt cover cosmetic defects beyond 30 days, and the warranty for the rest of the machine is only one year. Theres a reason for that - the machine will undoubtedly have problems after that. Multiple calls to Maytag/Whirlpool and they do not care. Terrible product, terrible customer service. I tell everyone I know never to buy Maytag or Whirlpool.

Wish I had read the reviews! I have had Maytag before and they were awesome. New purchase is horrible! Doesnt clean the clothes, leaves a residue on clothing and dryer does not dry properly. Called Maytag and they said use Affresh. Spent $10 on a pack of 5, and it did no good. My dark clothing is getting ruined! The washer is also incredibly LOUD! Very disappointed in this company and would never recommend them to anyone! I had purchased at Lowes, but had a delayed delivery, so I cant take them back, or I would.

The freezer leaks water onto the floor in large pools. Had it repaired, two weeks later, still leaks. Very unhappy with the performance of the bottom freezer Maytag refrigerator.

Dont buy their washers. Plain and simple. Will never ever buy Maytag again. This washing machine is garbage and I paid a lot of money for it. 3 months out and it had to have the entire circuit board replaced. I was assured that this was the issue. It has never cleaned our clothing, in fact, they come out twice as dirty and with soap. Weve used the Affresh, weve put as little as 1 tablespoon of detergent, weve triple washed several loads and still ended up having to wash them by hand in the tub. Changing the circuit board did nothing. Weve tried setting it to max fill (which it does) and everything still comes out the same. Its not the water, its not the water hook ups (previous washer worked great but was old, should have kept it). This is the worse product that Ive spent almost a thousand dollars on. Its a paperweight. On top of this, it twists your clothes into a mass. I expect companies to be honest about their products and provide what I paid for. How many times does this washer have to be fixed before you will call it a bad design? Im having to literally do all my laundry by hand for the last 8 months. I want my money back so I can buy a good quality product that works. I could have bought a $300.00 washer that would have done better then this. You want more proof, go read their Facebook replies to all their posts. Its all complaints about their washing machines. It would be nice for once to see a company fess up and say they made a design error. But that wont happen. Their money is more important.

Waste of $1700. Well all I can say is I wish I woulda read these reviews prior to buying but thought Maytag was a good brand. Boy was I wrong. Never again will I purchase Maytag products. I must say I haven’t had any issues with the dryer. Works great. The washer on the other hand is garbage!! It barely cleans the clothes. Some articles only get partially wet. Everything tangles together. The worst part is all my dark clothes ends up full of dust and lint. They look dirtier coming out than when they went in. Very disappointed. If you use deep load it takes about 1 1/2hrs to wash, definitely not energy efficient, and clothes still have lint on both cycles, and unfortunately most of our clothes need to be hung up, so dryer can’t pick up the lint. My old wash was way better. I shoulda went for same old style. Save you money and buy another brand.

I have had my washer and dryer for more than 5 years. As normal, over time, stuff wears out and parts need to be replaced. The manual doesnt list part numbers that are needed. The website doesnt pull up part numbers when you type in the model number. After paying for overnight shipping that isnt guaranteed (and was more than the part itself), it didnt show up until a couple of days later and it was the wrong part. I would have to pay for shipping costs of the return, now tripling the cost of the actual part. Calls to customer service were not at all helpful as all they could say was that I would have to pay for the return shipping and they were sorry there was nothing they could do. I wont be purchasing anything from Maytag ever again.

Nobody seems to know how to replace this part online. I have discovered what a POS this Maytag MGDC700VWO dryer is. The ONLY way to access this part is to beat an access hole in the bottom-left panel. After the repair, you are left with a nice 4 hole??? What an absolute POS! The back panel has screws but after removing them, I discovered the panel is also tack-welded! This is beyond stupid! Maytag used to be a great product before they were obviously sold to the Yugo factory. Time to move on.

I purchased a Maytag dishwasher at Home Depot in October 2009. Recently, it made noises for a few months of laboring, and finally would not start.Maytag said it’s out of warranty and wanted $125 just to diagnose. Took it to my shop for $60 to diagnose and they found a faulty control panel.

Started having problems summer 2017. My dishwasher leaked and tank replaced, followed by drain pump, followed by circuit board in 2017. Didn’t have use of it for months. It has started leaking again as of Sept. 17.

My refrigerator is a lemon! We bought a Maytag bottom freezer French door refrigerator model #MFD2561HEW in May of 2007. Less than a year later, it stopped working and ruined all the food inside. I cant remember the problem that time, but it was fixed by Maytag and we were reimbursed for a portion of the food we lost. Two years later, the temperature got warm in the refrigerator and freezer sections, and we were gone for a couple of days, so when we got home, all of our food was spoiled. This time we had an extended warranty in effect and they replaced a circuit board, but we were out the food. A few months later, the same thing happened. This time we were home and saved most of the food. The compressor was replaced, again under warranty, but it took 2 weeks to get the part. Now, less than a year later, the freezer and refrigerator compartments are getting too warm and frost is forming in the back of the freezer. When it finally does get cool, it freezes the food in the refrigerator section. It also makes loud bumping sounds. I paid $80 to a repairman today to tell me that theres nothing wrong with it, thats just the way it runs! He suggested I put a gallon of milk jugs filled with water in the freezer to hold the temperature when it starts to rise! This piece of junk is just 5 years old! When I complained, I was told to call Maytag and discuss it with them. This refrigerator was not cheap and I see that many others have had similar problems. How do they get away with selling an inferior product?

Bought this machine with the intention of having at LEAST 10 problem free years with it. Its a Maytag after all. Not an unreasonable expectation. Within the first 2 years, the machine sounded like the bearings were going out (heavy, grinding noises when it shifted gears). Repairman came, replaced the entire drum (only way to get to the gears, I guess). Didnt fix a thing. Then the rinse and spin cycle on ANY wash cycle randomly quits. Just stops. Full load of wet, soapy clothes, sitting in the tub while an LD error code quietly flashes.Its not uncommon for it to take two full days of screwing around with this machine to get one load of clothes done. Have to UNPLUG the machine, let it sit for about an hour, and try again. It is the biggest waste of money ever and I will NEVER buy another Maytag nothing. Contacted Maytag and they recommended I call a repairman...REALLY? REALLY? Gee, I wish I had thought of that. Repair guy has been to my house so damn many times for this machine, we are now friends on Facebook. Dont waste your money on this machine.

We purchased a Maytag Dishwasher Model #MDBTT60AWW3. Shortly after manufacturer warranty ran out, the control panel went out. Luckily we had purchased the extended warranty. The repair company came out and put a new control panel in it. Two months later, the control panel goes out again. The warranty firm sends out a different repair company. They replace the control panel again. This time it doesnt work. They replace some of the buttons as according to the repair person they arent registering the correct OHM reading. It works again. Yay!. A week later, its not working again. The repair company is coming back. This is really starting to get old. Between the multiple times it has broken down, waiting for the repair company to come out, diagnose the problem and order parts, we have been without a dishwasher for approx. 2 months the multiple times it has broken down. Im so fed up with this thing. I also will never ever buy another Maytag again. They need to have a major recall on these because of the terrible, terrible control panel. This isnt just me, its a lot of people.

Same as everyone else, ice freezes up on the bottom and water runs out all over the floor, ruining my new floor. Whole kitchen was new including all appliances. Maytag is ruining my floors. Can find no drain pipes so not sure where the water is supposed to do. I think they forgot to install one. But I am getting pretty sick of seeing my floors ruined and stepping in water.

2 major repairs in 8 years, ridiculous! We purchased a washer and electric dryer pair in Feb. 2012, had a repair for the control board (CPU) 4+ years under extended warranty, had another in 2018 for the same thing. I was told power surges could cause it, however I have a WHOLE HOUSE SURGE SUPPRESSOR ON THE INCOMING 200 AMP SERVICE AND KNOW THATS NOT THE PROBLEM!!! Had the same CPU go out again in Nov. 2020 so, rather than pay $370 for the part plus labor, we bought a top loading GE with an extended warranty and factory 10 years on the motor. We will never buy another Maytag product again. We were told that we shouldnt expect to get more than 6-7 years from a washer now, ridiculous. Manufacturers are outsourcing electronic boards overseas to maximize profit and could care less about quality control!!! Junk!!!

Bought a new home in July of 2016 and the builder had included a Maytag Bravos XL washer and dryer. They are THE WORST performing appliances I have ever used! I will replace as soon as I have the means to do so. DO NOT PURCHASE the Maytag Bravos XL appliances. The engineers that designed them should be fired! The washing machine makes an incredibly loud noise (like an old starter grinding in a 50s car). Im told that this is normal for the machine. Does NOT clean well and leaves soap spots on dark clothes... leaves them on light clothes but I cannot see them. Whites come out dingy even with bleach. The tub is so deep that I have to use tongs to get out smaller items, I am 53 tall and have never had this issue before. Soap dispenser drawer wont stay closed during wash cycle. Clothes are so badly tangled during the wash cycle that it is hard to describe the wrinkled mess that has to go into the dryer.Dryer issues: Very loud. Very wobbly and unstable, and yes, it has been leveled 3 times. Bed linens have to be separated at least 3 times during the drying cycles because they twist and wad up into big, wet knots of cloth. Infuriating!!! Dry time is very long unless you wish to cook your clothes. So disappointed in this product. Total rubbish!!

I am in my 24th year of using my Maytag washer and dryer. The set was purchased in 1996, so it has been well worth the money. At this time, it does not spin out as well as it used to, but I just fluff the load and spin it again and then it is ready for the dryer. I have been very pleased with the set and have never had to have a repairman work on them. Cant ask for more than that!

Bought the Maytag top load high efficiency washer (also matching dryer which works perfectly) brand new less than 6 months ago. It is the worst. It leaves swirl marks on my clothes that doesnt come out. Leaves part of clothing dry without being a large load! If I put sheets in there it blows up like a mushroom and leaves that part dry. I use the correct detergent. I had a serviceman, that the manufacturer suggested, check it and determined there is nothing wrong with it which only leads me to the conclusion that it is a poorly designed product. Spoke to a manager at Maytag that said the machine works fine. And because it is in a business setting there is nothing they can do. (What? If it worked fine, I wouldnt be here.) Called to company I bought it from... Theres nothing wrong with the machine plus we are closing the business so its the manufacturer warranty that you need to call them. I would have been happy with a exchange. Poor design, poor customer service.

Bravos mct. Unbelievable, this washing machine is terrible, no water. The water level doesnt even cover 6 items. Have to wash triple the loads of my old washer just to get the clothes clean. I have to go to the laundromat twice a month. I shouldnt have to do that. Almost want to fill the washer with water, but dont know what will happen. Very unsatisfied with this washer.

Purchase a Maytag Bravo XL Washer Model MVWB850YWO from a major Home Improvement store in January 2012 with a 4 year service plan. Since this time I had to replace a motor and 4 (that is right 4) control panels. Although I am covered under a protection plan, the cost of laundry services and an outage of 2 weeks for each event is very costly. This time I call Maytag for support on their product. Looking for someone to say that there is something wrong with this machine. I want to hear that their product should not perform like this. I was told from a supervisor in these words that Mrs. we only care about the machine the 1st year. After that you are on your own. When did Customer Service lose the service part? When did companies stop caring about their products they produce? I never heard I am sorry youre having trouble or even a recommendation. A machine this new should not have 4 control panels replaced. This is the reason no one wants to buy a Made in the USA product anymore because we know the employees working there do not care about keeping customer relations.

We purchased a new Maytag dishwasher for $500 from Home Depot about 1 year ago... it stopped working 4 days ago. I did not get satisfaction from Maytag customer service as they tried to sell me a repair program whilst I was trying to determine if it was under warranty as it is a known problem. I now have a repair person coming out with a price of $189.95 + time. A complete joke of an organization. Lesson? Do NOT purchase any MAYTAG brand. They DO NOT stand by their product. Washer model mvwc200bw1 c43942055 -Worst washing machine ever! The clothes come out all twisted together, I cant even see how the washer works because the lid locks when washing! The sound the washer makes while washing sounds like its barely even washing the clothes! I will never purchase any Maytag products and I wish I could return this one!! So disappointed, Im sticking with Whirlpool!! Plus the clothes dont even get that clean!!

This product was purchased in March. In September, the agitator broke off. Thats a new one on me with a washer. Every other one Ive bought tended to last 10 years or so, then something like a motor wore out. It was an obvious design flaw on a topheavy agitator held on by a flimsy plastic sleeve. To make matters worse, their warranty service seems mostly geared to selling extended warranties, necessitated by the poor quality and bad design of their products. So, for a mere $182, I can have it covered for the next six or seven times the agitator breaks. No thanks, Ill figure out how to fix it myself when its no longer under warranty, or just cut my losses by buying another machine, and never another Maytag or Whirlpool product. I had a similar experience with a Whirlpool refrigerator purchased in April 2017, which had a defective module that went fortunately just before it was out of warranty.

I bought this dryer 3 years ago and the fuse has blown three times. The dryer gets really hot and blows a fuse. The entire back of the dryer is clean and free of lint, the hose on the back, and the ventilation pipe running out of the house are completely clear, but the dryer continues breaking down. The Whirlpool NC folks have been out here three times yet it has broken down once again. I should not have to purchase another dryer after only three years!

Dont buy this machine. Although it is an HE machine and supposed to save on water, it does not give enough water to at least cover the clothes. I had repair come in and they changed the computer but no improvement. The cycles determine the water amounts not the type of clothes you are washing. So if I only a few things I use cold water wash, if I have a half load I use deep water wash and have to add water to it. Its ridiculous. Do yourself a favor and get an LG. I wish I had.

This product is not worth the money or irritation. It does not wash your clothes well and now mine wont spin. I have to completely unplug the machine and start it up to drain and spin. It takes 1 1/2 to wash one load of clothes. Its supposed to be energy efficient. Im pretty sure its not! I waste more time and electric doing a load of clothes than it takes to dry a load of clothes. Im dumping this thing for a real washer, one that works. I do not recommend this washing machine. I purchased the Bravo at Lowes.

Maytag French Door Refrigerator (Counter depth) #MFC2061KES14 which cost over $2,500 dollars is a DUD and the company is EVIL. The freezer leaks all over the floor and the company will not stand by their product. When I called the company they said they have had to upgrade a part called the drain tube kit because of this problem but did not put a recall. They know that this problem will occur just about the time the warranty runs out. I bet the wife of the CEO of this company has a very expensive good brand of refrigerator. Stand by your product and pay for the repairs and labor to get it fixed and put out a recall. LIFE IN AMERICA!!!

This dishwasher is extremely quiet and very attractive in the kitchen. Easy to use and does a great cleaning job. The price was also right. Would definitely buy again.

Our $1,000.00 Maytag Bravos is only 4 years old (also bought the matching dryer at the same time). We have had to purchase two new motherboards for the washer and now the uL, during the spin cycle, comes on and my clothes will not spin out. I have followed the manuals directions to unplug, wait, replug, redistribute, etc... all to NO avail. So very disappointed with this machine. Bought it because it was a Maytag, but will never buy another :( I had this machine repaired with major amount of parts and expense (due to the uL problem), BUT the uL code still keeps coming up. I am one really unhappy customer.

I purchased my home in 2008 at which time I bought all brand new Maytag appliances, well the above the stove microwave Ive had to replace the door handle because it broke off and the oven I can only use the very top or bottom to cook on and I cant move them, otherwise the racks will fall through. I have burned myself numerous times as I cant pull the racks in or out and I found that out cooking dinner and when I pulled it out the rack fell through and my dinner went crashing down and splashed everywhere. Due to this fact I hardly ever use it. I contacted Maytag with no help, told me to buy new racks and those did the same thing so it was a $100. It seems as though the liner cant handle the self clean heat and if you look at my oven, the left side is pushed in. If anyone gets help with this issue please let me know. My model number is MERH865RAS serial # 14348133LX. Oh and my refrigerator is a side by side and I have had to have it repaired twice because my food kept thawing out. That model number is MSD2651KES serial 60869476LV all of these are Maytag products and were purchased brand new from Home Depot.

I bought my Maytag Bravos top load washer from Home Depot. In one year. I had the Maytag warranty people out three or four times. The warranty ran out and I purchased an extended warranty from A&E. I have had them out at least five times.I called Maytag and they told me since that I didn’t get the extended warranty from them, that there was nothing they could do for me. I explained to them that this washer cost me over $900 and that I have had numerous repairs on the washer, in which the warranties cost me over $400 so far.How much do I have to keep paying for this lemon? Maytag will not do anything about it! This goes to show you that paying top dollar for a washer does not guarantee you will have a good product. In this economy we can’t afford for this to happen. This is a very bad product and Maytag will not stand behind their own products, but they are willing to charge the consumer high dollar for them. This is a disgrace!

We were offered a Maytag microwave with our newly built home two years ago. I do not know if it was a good value for the money compared to other brands as I did not price or feature shop for this oven. But the oven has worked well since we moved in.

Maytag MHW3505FW Washer and dryer were purchased 13 months ago. I purchased and spent $2,000 because the Lowes salesperson and the stickers on the machine said they had a 10 year GUARANTEE AND commercial quality/technology. Exactly 2 weeks after 12 months the washer started flashing erratically when I was able to turn it on. Wouldnt react to any of the touch controls and stopped working. Called Lowes who told me because I hadnt bought an extended warranty they would do nothing. When I told them I was told a 10 year warranty was in place they said they only cover a year. I was told to call Maytag. Maytag said the 10 year warranty only covers the steel drum and motor! Nothing else is covered after one year. I was offered an extended warranty for $600. Not something I will be doing. I will replace with non-computer washer and dryer and will NEVER BUY MAYTAG again. They should be sued for false advertising.

This oven has been used so very seldom that I didnt feel I could rate it until now. We use the oven 1-2 times a week since purchasing it in March of 2018. There hadnt been any reason to use the Self Cleaning part of the oven until last week. I have had a oven with self-cleaning for 20 years and the oven went out so we purchased this one because of its sleek look and features. However last week I decided to use the self-cleaning setting on it and came home after being gone all day to find that the house smelled like it had a fire burning in it. I ran to the oven to find the whole inside cover in a white powdery substance. It looked like a snow blizzard had gone on inside of it. I was use to a small amount of white residue being inside the oven after it finished and it just wiped right up. We spent hours vacuuming it out then scrubbing it down with vinegar water and a sponge with a scouring pad on it. The casserole spill was still on the bottom, most of the enamel is gone and the glass will not clean off. I did not use any chemicals in the oven prior to turning it to the self-clean mode, I believe that it overheated and burnt the enamel off and distorted the glass. Whirlpool offered to send me a cleaning kit. I told them that would do no good. I had already scrubbed and used a razor blade to try and clean the bottom and the glass and them sending me different cleaning supplies would not fix the fact that 80% of the inside protective coating on the oven is gone. Now it is a porous surface. A Serviceman was scheduled and he called prior to arrival today and asked me to explain what was going on with my oven. I explained and he said I can almost guarantee that Whirlpool will say that it is cosmetic and they only cover cosmetic for 3 months and that I will have to pay for a $100.00 service call. This is a load of crap. This coating is part of the oven to keep it clean and protect the metal from the high heat of baking in it. This is not cosmetic feature like the outside stainless steel finish or the black trim decor. The inside doesnt look pretty. It is a function. See the photos below. Whirlpool Range Item # 805150. We bought our $600 Maytag dishwasher less than two years ago and have had three separate problems with it, from faulty instillation, to a faulty seal to faulty control panel. The first problem was covered under warranty, the second problem we fixed ourselves and the third problem, nothing can be done except pay an additional fee of $250+ for a new part. Maytag used to be a good name but with three problems in under two years, the only guarantee given is that if you buy one, be prepared for problems. This company does not stand by their products and will only ask for more money to fix their faulty items.

We purchased the Maytag dishwasher model # MDB4949SDZ almost one year ago. Since the beginning there has been a smell to our drinking glasses when we put drink in them...smells like boiled eggs. We have always used Cascade dishwasher pods, but suddenly our dishes were being left with a gritty feeling film on them and I had to run them under water to rinse them after taking them out of the dishwasher. This model showed on Lowes website that it has a food grinder, but it cannot even get rid of a single kernel of corn that might get left on a plate. After a load is completely washed and you open the door, there is a strong smell of detergent. If you run an EMPTY dishwasher with NO soap it creates an abundance of suds like there is still soap all in the tub!!The repairman came out and called Maytag and they ran a diagnostic check on it and it said everything was okay. He said to run a cup of white vinegar through it and I did. It didnt help. Still lots of suds being produced when I run a cycle with NO dishes and NO soap!!! He said the food grinder doesnt actually grind or dispose of small particles of food, just grease!! What?!!!! We had to PAY $92 for the service call even though it is still under warranty just because the repairman and the Maytag guy on the phone couldnt figure out why this dishwasher is a hunk of junk!!!! Also, the top rack has clips on the side to lower and raise the rack. The outer sides of the top rack will only hold smaller glasses because these clips get in the way. I hate this dishwasher so much!!! My 18 year old Kenmore ran like a charm until Hurricane Harvey flooded our house. I will never buy a Maytag appliance again!!!

We have had 2 sets of Maytag washer & dryers. Our first set was a top load. When we bought the Neptune front load machines we gave the top load to our daughter and it still runs great after 14 years! Our front load W&D are 7 years old. We have a dog breeding business and when we have puppies the W&D pretty much run nonstop for 16 hours a day or longer. The blankets and towels come out like new every time!! The only complaint I have is the top of the front load machines seem to be plastic and scratched really easy. But the enamel on the top load still looks new! We plan on shopping for a new set this weekend passing these on to our daughter. We will buy ONLY Maytag for the rest of our lives!!

wW have had this Maytag gas range for twenty years. It has performed well for that length of time (maybe longer). During that period I replaced one burner. Only complaint is that the oven does not heat as quickly as I believe it should.

My stainless steel french door refrigerator started to rust 4-5 months after purchase. Upon contacting Maytag/Whirlpool I was advised that this is cosmetic and the cosmetic portion of my warranty is expired. I think this is a poor grade of stainless steel and should be recalled and/or replaced. I would not recommend.

I purchased a new Maytag microwave from Lowes barely two years ago. The inner door frame is coming apart which makes the handle to open slack which means the microwave does not operate correctly because you have to open & close several times. I called Maytag. They said the one year warranty is over. Furthermore one of their authorize dealers want $200 for labor, parts is separate. I said I can purchase a new microwave for less which I intend to do but never MAYTAG again.

Approx. 3 year old Maytag Dishwasher Control Panel lights blinking with Dishwasher inoperable. Repair part (new Control Panel) costs approx. $180 plus tax. When you add the cost of a service repairman you are nearly at the price of a new dishwasher. I am completely unhappy with this Maytag Product and will never buy another Maytag Product again.

I bought this washer (Maytag HE) almost a year ago, and if I could redo my choice, I would not choose this machine. There is no separate spin cycle. Often items are left with quite a bit of water in at the end of the wash cycle (often literally dripping as you transfer to the dryer), and you cant just rearrange them in the washer and then spin again. The only option on the washer is to both rinse and spin, which almost never helps get out more water. So you then have a heavy load in the dryer, much longer dryer time, and higher utility bills to get some loads dry, especially bath towels, sheets, jeans, etc. The washer is large capacity, but if you fill it more than 1/2 to 2/3 full (depending on the heaviness of your items) the spin cycle definitely will not get nearly enough water out of the clothes. The lid on the washer is SLOPED!The most ridiculous design I have ever seen for a washer, everything you set on top, even for a moment - laundry detergent, folded clothes, wet clothes - ends up on the floor. And the lack of agitator means at the end of the cycle, some loads that contain a sheet or any large flat item (tablecloth, etc.) the rest of the items are captured below the larger flat item that is over them like a mushroom cap. You cant tell how long the items have been like that in the washer, but its hard to imagine they are getting properly cleaned and rinsed. You absolutely cannot use powder stain removers, especially OxiClean, unless you are using the oxi cycle (much longer than regular cycle) because with any other cycle you will have white cloudy patches on all your clothes and items where the powder dissolved in the water but did not rinse out. You have to manually scrub them out, as putting these items through another wash cycle does not remove all the spots.

My dishwasher is one year old. It is very quiet and cleans well. Stainless steel makes it look great too. Efficient, energy saver dishwasher with great capacity and large utensil holder. This is the best dishwasher I have owned.

Brand New 2017 Maytag Dishwasher MOB8959SFZ4 - The first time we used it it leaked from the door. I called the plumber back to make sure it was level and lined up properly and it was. Called the dealer, they sent a technician who sent away for a new latching mechanism. 3 weeks later the parts showed up. Technician installed them ran it through empty and no leaks problem solved? Nope. So I loaded it up and ran it again and it leaked. Called the dealer back but the technician is away on vacation.They suggested that the top rack might be pushing against the door for some reason when it is loaded so I removed everything from the dishwasher and ran it through again but it leaked again.Its something to do with the door not latching properly and it doesnt have a lever that locks like the old ones did. Its such a flimsy product. It baffles me that importers are getting away with bringing this crap into the country. Im now in week 5 with a brand new dishwasher that doesnt work. Maybe thats why its known for being one of the quietest dishwashers on the market.

Just like all the other reviews, the control panel on our 3-year-old dishwasher stopped working. The obvious defect of the product and lack of customer support is unreal. We ended up replacing the Maytag with a Frigidaire. Hopefully it lasts more than three years.

We purchased a high end Maytag Dishwasher from Lowes just 2 years ago. Within a year the machine was turning itself on, beeping for no reason, and eventually the functions on the control panel stopped working. When I called Lowes they gave me a number for a repairman who informed me that the cost of a new control panel would be $514 and its a known issue with moisture getting into the control panel. This is unacceptable. There are hundreds of complaints and a class action lawsuit regarding this issue and yet Maytag has done nothing to remedy this situation. I am forced to purchase a new dishwasher and I will never purchase another Maytag product.

Maytag topwasher 2011 model MVWB300WQ2, SERIAL C11271134 - Im from the old school, expecting to get my money worth. I purchased a Maytag Bravos automatic washer in 2011, now less than 5 years later, it has a very loud knocking noise during the draining and spin cycles.

I purchased a Bravo washer and dryer set about a 2 1/2 years ago and had problems from the start. The dryer control panel went out the first day. No problem, they replace the panel. The washer is a different story. The agitator went out next and the wait time to repair it - 3 WEEKS. The agitator went out again for the second time and the tech stated that it had to be replace. Wait for it. Waiting time - 1 month including parts. To make this story short the agitator will go out every 4 months and the tech stated once its been replace it will work like a new washer. Wait for it. The agitator has been going out ever since and the wait time average 3 WEEKS. Wait for it. This Maytag is trash.

I purchased a Maytag washer and dryer three years ago. They both were taken to recycling and I received eleven dollars for both of them. They were both horrible. The transmission went out on the washer. The repairman said not worth fixing since it would cost $600.00 to repair. He said Maytag appliances are being outsourced and are not what they used to be. Even before the transmission went out it took forever to wash and the clothes smelled when I took them out of the washer. The dryer quit heating a few days after the washer went out. The repairman said it wouldnt be worth repairing it either. I will never buy another Maytag!!

Our Maytag Elite Series dryer is not under warranty but we have had nothing but issues with this dryer since we have had it. However, now I have holes in the heat intake at the back of the drum. This is so very dangerous and could cause a fire. I am certain this is a manufacturing flaw. How on earth does the inside of a dryer have parts that will not hold up to heat? At any rate, I want it fixed. The only way to fix it is to replace the drum. This has to be a flaw in design or manufacturing and this particular model should be recalled.

Just like so many others, our Maytag 300 Quiet Series, just 2 years old, has a malfunctioning control panel. Repairman told us this has been an ongoing problem with Maytag dishwashers. Steam/water gets into the control panel.For a while it worked on and off and now it is dead. I am saving up to do the repair, but in the meantime the dishwasher sits idle.

I wish I had found this website before I bought my new Maytag washer and dryer from Home Depot on March 7, 2018. I replaced a 30 year old Maytag washer that I should have kept. I wash two loads a week so has not been used that much and now it will not drain. I tried everything, canceled the cycle out, checked the circuit breaker, unplugged it, removed the clothing, bucketed out the excess water, tried the drain and spin cycle, etc. Just will not drain or spin. Repairman is coming next week... Still under first year warranty but if it is not the “fault” of Maytag I was told there will be a $90+ minimum service charge.

I bought this washer 2 years ago, it has always been noisy and not cleaned or rinsed my clothes very well. With dark clothes, I have to rinse them twice if not three times. Now it has quit throwing out the water all together and is not rinsing the clothes at all. Paid $72 for a repair man to hook it up to his computer and tell me there was nothing wrong with it. Told me it was how I was loading it. I dont think so. Now I have to replace a two-year old machine. I will buy a basic machine that only washes my clothes this time. Nothing is made to last these days.

Maytag Bravo Washer and Dryer XL Series - This the worst washer and dryer I have ever owned by Maytag. I wish I could give them away. The washer does not clean my clothes and the dryer does not dry my clothes. They are absolutely terrible. Do not buy them, you will be sorry.

This Maytag Centennial is the WORST piece of junk I ever purchased and I received the same uninterested response from Maytag as everyone else. Maytag sent a service man out who said it was functioning as it was intended. Once started, this washing machine cant stop if you forget to add an item. It dumps out all the water and starts the hour-long cycle over. All settings are an hour-long cycle. Unless Bulky or Delicate is selected you only get 2 inches of water -- Even for Heavy Duty. No matter what the setting, the clothes do not come out clean. You must hand wash them first. Maytags are no longer a desired product.

I bought the Maytag Bravo XL washer and dryer at Lowe’s on sale spending almost $2000. Loved both of them until the washer stopped with a load of laundry in it. No power to unit. Called for service. Could not provide serial number as locked in washer. Service company able to order parts without the serial number but part put on back order. Washer needs a master board. After 1 week of wet laundry stuck in the washer called store manager at Lowe’s. I contacted Maytag Service and had a rude customer service clerk who finally listened to me after I got angry with her. She contacted the appliance repair company and got the back ordered part sent to the appliance repair company. We are now 10 days out. Still do not have the part; just talked to appliance repair company supervisor. The appliance repair company supervisor said he would schedule installation as soon as he had the part. It will probably be 14 days when I get the washer fixed. I am dreading opening the washer to get the load out that I will have to throw away. When I called for service at Lowe’s the representative said, We have had a lot of issues with this. A 2 month old new washer should not have the control board go out. Shame on Maytag.

First the dishwasher - Control board no longer works. Seen many people with same problem. Dishwasher sitting there useless since cant afford to replace. Will cost as much as the purchase. Stove has defect between glass on oven door. Aqua clean feature is a farce and I feel vent at bottom of oven is asking for a disaster if any grease should spill in there. Maytag will not honor or admit any defects.

It’s washing day today, so I’m angry, frustrated and livid to do it in my Maytag machines. I’m 72 years old and been doing this for 53 years. It’s not a job you love to do but you do it. I finally get to be able to afford whatever machines I want, so what do I do, buy Maytag. They are beautiful, see through top load, and see through dryer. So finally I get to use them, what a letdown. I don’t understand how they can put these machines on the market. Unbelievable! Also very expensive. The sensor for the water level is way off. It starts washing with hardly no water covering the clothes so this is where I put it on pause and add buckets of water to wet at least the clothing. I did a test to see how the clothes moved inside when washing. It was a load of white towels and I put in a bright green face cloth to see how it moved around in there. Well what a surprise, it stayed on top and moved about 3 inches to the right. That’s all it did. You don’t call that washing, I call that soaking! Terrible washer! I could go on and on but I’m getting too upset. Now for the dryer, the sensors don’t work right so what I do is use the timer and the temperature buttons only. Sometimes clothes gets stuck under the lint basket and by the time the buzzer tells me the load is finished drying, it is so twisted that it’s wrinkled forever. It has ruined a beautiful tablecloth of mine. I can’t sell these machines because I would feel very bad to pass them to someone else…Maytag does but not me. Because of my age I won’t be getting new machines probably, I’m stuck with them, but I would advise anyone shopping for a new washer and dryer, go out there and see what they have, come back home and look for reviews which I did not. Bad mistake! Note: I searched everywhere to write this review to Maytag on their website, none to be found!

Maytag fridge is a overpriced, ticking repair bomb. The fridge had issues with the compressor, control board (motherboard) and relay switch within a 12-month period. Customer service is weak in troubleshooting techniques and try to send the file over to a repairman. The repairman will show up at $80/hr + other fees and parts costing you approx $500, and still uncertainty that this fridge can breakdown at any time. Final advice: DONT BUY.

The range I have works awesome, which is surprising for an electric stove. For being 11 years old I am happy with how it is still holding up. The only thing I would improve is if it was a double oven instead of a single!

My Maytag Refrigerator Freezer model MFI2569VEM4 started leaking water into base under bottom freezer door. It then fills up and freezes into solid sheet of ice and overflows and leaks into floor. Ruins Hardwood Floor. BEWARE!!!!! I have now seen several similar complaints online. Mine started doing this less than 2 years old!!!!!

We have been married 50 yrs. We have never had a Maytag, we bought one 4 days ago, Dec.13, 2017. This is the worst wash machine (Maytag Bravos XL MCT) we have ever had, the clothes come out wet with white soap marks on the dark clothes. Lowes said we can exchange it for another washer, it will not be a Maytag.

We purchased a $500.00 Maytag dishwasher, Model #MDB7749SBW, in August 2013. In December 2014, a little over a year of owning it, the pump failed. We called Maytag and they had a service company come out and replace it. We paid $181.00 for this service call. In July 2015, the control panel failed so we called Maytag to see if they would replace it at their cost. All they are willing to do is to send another service guy out at our expense. The service call is $89.95 and that doesnt include the labor! The total with tax will be close to $200.00 again!!! Now we are getting close to spending $1,000 for this piece of junk! In addition, this dishwasher is only used three times a week because there are only two people living in our household. It is obvious after reading the other complaints that the control panels are defective and I am sure that Maytag is well aware of this issue. So, buyer beware. Dont even consider purchasing a Maytag dishwasher unless you enjoy watching your money flush down the toilet. They dont even deserve a 1 star rating!!!

How many times do we have to go without a washer? We have to wait on service to check/see how many times it has to be fixed. This is since we bought it.

The control panel went bad on our Maytag dishwasher of only 4 years that is only run about once a week, A replacement part would cost more than half of what the dishwasher originally cost, so we have decided to go with a KitchenAid. Not pleased at all with the longevity of the Maytag.

My old washing machine was about 25 years old but still doing a fantastic job getting the laundry done. When the dryer died we decided to replace both machines so theyd match. I had been setting money aside for years in preparation for this purchase. Ive only had them for two weeks and I stay awake at night wondering what GENIUS decided you can get clothes cleaner in a tablespoon of water than you can in an adequate amount of water?! My old washer could wash a load of laundry in about 20 minutes. Again, what GENIUS decided taking over an hour to wash a load of laundry in a tablespoon of water was a better way?! What working woman would choose to double the time needed to do laundry and then not feel confident that the clothes are clean?!!! I am so mad and frustrated and disappointed and I dont know what to do. I wish I could yell at somebody!!!

I bought a Maytag 4452BDW stove, the more button is not working. I did my research and was not happy to see this is a common and reoccurring issue with Maytag Stoves. The expensive of the part that too often fails again along with the cost of the service man to repair it places the Maytag as low quality at a high price. I am hoping to see a company that stands behind its product by addressing this correctly and promptly. It would be a pleasure to have my faith restored as it should be by Maytag.

Bought used and still performs like a champ. It's old. Have the matching dryer but that quit working some time ago so I hang dry clothes.

After using my GE Profile to death we replaced it with a Maytag; mostly for the cost. Although I hate to admit this, remember the old saying you get what you paid for - Well its true at least in the case of this Maytag oven. I am a constant cook and own a bakery, I often bake many of my products at home. Since getting this oven I have had nothing but failures. The cakes are over done, underdone, cookies burnt, not cooked enough; my time frame for recipes is so off! I wrote a cook book and have baked for years so I know for a fact its not some miraculous mishap that all of a sudden I cant bake. Ive had them come calibrate the oven but still no success.Im going to call them again but I felt compelled to let people know this is the worst oven in history and avoid purchasing it at all cost. I plan on having the service team come out one last time but if this doesnt work I plan on replacing it. Its a Maytag Double Wall Oven-Top Convection-Self Cleaning model no: MEW9630DS-SS. BUYERS BEWARE!

We used to own a Neptune Model. After always leaving the door opened and following the recommended monthly cleaning and many extra cleanings with diluted bleach and water, we could not get the smell out. We paid for a new seal, Advice from Washing Machine Repair service even though we paid a lot for an extended warranty. We had to pay for this ourselves. We also had our year to year maintenance. Because we could not fix the issue, nor would MAYTAG, we donated the set to donated it to Salvation Army.We decided to give MAYTAG another chance, so we purchased a brand new FRONT-LOAD WASHER and DRYER in 2014. As I would repeat the same regiment, I would notice little black specks, so I would clean it an extra time with Afresh. I have continued to this date, repeating the same regiment of keeping my washer clean and serviced as we should, I now have the whole tray dispenser spotted with LARGE black goo that smells. So I have continued to clean my Washer.After returning home from the Cleveland Clinic, I was ready to do our laundry from the trip, more black goo and smell coming from my Maytag front-load washer. My sister had stayed with my 86 year old mother and had wash a load of towels while we were gone. She left the door opened also as she was instructed many times, and that is how we found it. So I took the dispenser tray out as usual and bleached it and scrubbed it. As I did this I noticed bigger areas of goo. I looked in the dispenser housing and OMG it was covered with black mold. I am appalled that our $900.00 Washing Machine is like this. This IS BLACK MOLD, There is no way to remove this mold. I have the sides and bottom cleaned with bleach, BUT I cannot get into the multiple crevices.I called Maytag and I was initially told by a Maytag Customer Service Person said that it sounds like BLACK MOLD and MAYTAG COULD DO NOTHING! I asked to speak with a supervisor. At first she seemed a little put off, but as we talked she became more pleasant, I offered to send pictures or a video of the WASHER WITH THE BLACK MOLD and she said no. She told me to pour bleach into each dispensing compartment and the drum. Then run a wash with no clothes on all HOT WATER 2 times, then rinse 2 times and this should get rid of it and to also leave the dispenser drawer open a crack as well as the door after each wash.The Supervisor said ok and thanked her for her help. Then she said good luck and thanks for calling MAYTAG. Ive did and already do everything our Washer manual says to do on cleaning and maintenance of my expensive Maytag Washer and dryer. The manual says nothing about leaving the dispenser drawer open a little so it dries. The bottom of the housing looks great from doing this, along with me scrubbing it until 5:00 am with diluted bleach water. However, in the MANY SEAMS, CREVICES, THE SCHUTE AND POSSIBLY THROUGHOUT THE WASHING MACHINE IS BLACK MOLD that we cannot access without disassembling the machine and voiding our extended warranty.MOLD GROWS RAPIDLY and causes many illness. I already have an ongoing illness since childhood, I take care of my 86 year old mother, my husband just finished cancer treatment in January. We certainly do not need any other health issues. I called my local Appliance repair company and they said that they normally do not handle anything like this, but if my husband couldnt take the outside of the machine off then the top I could pay for a repair person to come out to take it apart then call and have them come back to put it back, pay them again to reassemble our Washer.I believe Whirlpool in its purchase of Maytag has taken a Monkey on its back. Maytag will do nothing, why should they? They already have their money from when we purchased our machines along with money from many other consumers who also have ongoing issues with their WHIRLPOOL/MAYTAG Front-Load washing machines. It is undignified and deceitful how they treat their consumers with such disregard when we have filled their pockets by being loyal customers.Word of mouth is good or bad advertisement for any company. Everyone who has unresolved issues of any kind can write a formal complaint to the CEO and President of Whirlpool/Maytag. The address is on the internet. Shame on Whirlpool/Maytag for taking many consumers hard earned money, when apparently some of Whirlpool/Maytags money is ill gained by developing and manufacturing a consumer product that causes black mold and marketing it to sell to us, the consumer. THIS IS A SERIOUS ISSUE WHIRLPOOL/MAYTAG. OWN UP!!! My advertisement begins today!!!

Bought new Maytag French Door with cooling drawer refrigerator in July, & have had nothing but problems with both product & customer service since. Have already had 2 service calls for the SAME problem. The in-door ice maker/dispenser is a horrendous mess. Place a container below the opening to get ice cubes & ice is sprayed in chunks all over the floor & around the kitchen. To get ice, you have to put the container in direct contact with the opening, & then place a towel over the entire in-door unit to keep ice chunks from spraying all over the floor. The unit has a small flap-door in the ice maker, which must open & close automatically when getting ice, but the flap failed to close, so the ice in the ice maker was melting & the water running into the refrigerator unit & onto the floor. Called warranty repair & they came out & said they fixed the door-flap, but they did not. Ice was still melting & the freezer unit would not even keep ice cream & pastry items frozen solid. Called repair a 2nd time during the first 4 months of ownership, & they came out & replaced the motor to the small door-flap in the in-door ice/water unit. When asked why the freezer would not keep ice cream & pastry items frozen solid, the repairman stated (quote): Freezers dont keep ice cream frozen solid because it has so much sugar in it, its like alcohol. Had no excuse about the pastry issue however. We replaced a 12-year-old Jenn-Air with this piece of junk, but at least the Jenn-Air kept ice & ice cream frozen solid, & the ice maker did not leak & spray ice around the kitchen. Jenn-Air must know something about freezing sugary ice cream, that Maytag/Whirlpool do not understand. Then today we got a notice that Whirlpool had denied payment for the 1st repair visit, even though the unit was only 2 months old then. As such, we expect them to deny payment for this 2nd visit, even though the unit is now only 4 months old. Bad product & sloppy customer service, from a company with ZERO consumer support.

I have a major complaint with the Maytag double oven design. With the smaller oven above, if you spill any liquid while taking something out of the top oven, the liquid drips down between the two panes of glass on the lower oven door. This makes it impossible to clean. Maytags reply - call a service rep and have him make a house call and take the door apart for you and clean it. Not warranty work so I would have to do this every few months. Also, when baking in the upper oven, cakes and cookies tend to overcook on the bottom as the dishes are so close to the element.

There should be a recall. Just look at the number of people complaining about this same exact occurrence about the control panel not activating. Im on my second control panel in 24 months. Some people are on their fourth already. Give me a break. There needs to be a recall and a redesign of this thing, which turned out to be a piece of junk washer.

Like so many other consumers, I was drawn to the Maytag name because of what I thought was the high quality of their products and their stellar reputation. So when our old wall-mount oven failed, I sought out a replacement from the Maytag line. I purchased a model MEW5530WDDB17 in 2011 and had it professionally installed. It worked well for a couple of years. Then, suddenly, three of the numbers on the digital control panel stopped working, making it impossible to set the oven to any temperature that included a 4, a 2 or a 5. When I contacted Maytag, I was informed that the unit was out of warranty, but that I could schedule a service call. I had already researched this issue online and knew that the service person would inform me that I needed a new control board and that one could be installed for around $300, and that the new board would come with a 90 day warranty. When I asked the person to whom I was speaking, she said that she had no further information for me. I know that a lot of others have had this same issue with their Maytag range/ovens, and many of them agree with me that we will never purchase another Maytag product.

I wish I had seen these reviews before purchasing this machine. The plastic tub cracked and leaked all over laundry floor after only 30 loads. Part is unavailable. We will have to wait 3-6 weeks for a repair. Manufacturer will not agree to providing a new machine. Machine is only 3 months old.

I bought a Maytag electric stove steam lift oven 2 years ago, I regret it. I baked a pie, and used the steam cleaning, it didn’t clean, my oven is still dirty. The top of the stove is not easy to clean and scratches very easily. It’s not my first stove, different brand, and I never had problem like I have now. I should have stayed with the brand I had before. My other regret, I should have read the reviews.

The Maytag Maxima XL front load steam washer is awesome. Its reliable and does an amazing job. There are so many features and settings and it makes my life easier when it comes to doing laundry. My favorite feature is the allergen setting which gets rid of allergens in my fabrics.

Maytag washer was bought May 2010 with an extended warranty, which expired May 2014. This machine was used by two people with average wash loads. Five months later the machine computer programming didnt work and the machine sounded like a jet taking off. Whirlpool said a one-year warranty would cost $329! This would have been less expensive than a new machine, but I felt I couldnt trust having it repaired. A repairman very familiar with Maytag products said he had three service calls the same day with similar complaints for the Bravos 300 series. He told me the bearings were bad and the cost to fix was not worth the money and this machine should have been recalled. I bought another brand and will not buy Maytag again. When my new machine was delivered, there was grease on the floor from the Maytag.

Bought mdb7609aww2 dishwasher in 2010. Now I cant use it as it will not start even though the panel lights of my selected wash cycle work. I looked up on internet how to reset it, but I only get a half cycle. Called customer service and for $269, I can get it fixed and get a one-year warranty. Wow, what a deal. Might as well get a new dishwasher. Joining the lawsuit. It is about time corporations take responsibility for defective merchandise, not make money to correct their mistakes by charging customers for overpriced parts and stupid worthless warranties. A pox on them.

We purchased our Maytag Bravo XL in 2012. Over the past year and a half we noticed the inside of the top lid is rusting as well as the bleach dispenser area. I called Maytag about the lid and they said there was nothing they can do and that we could buy a new lid replacement. Really??? My parents had only Maytag in their home for over 50 years with little to no repairs needed ever! We were a family of five back then. Because my parents always bought Maytag products so did we. This is the first time in 40 years that I have ever seen this happen! I was hoping for a recall for these issues but dont find any online. The washer and dryer were not cheap and purchased from a reputable retailer.

Our problem started when the control lock button locked itself on. Called Maytag and told it wasnt covered by warranty but they did walk us through resetting the power and it fixed the problem until we ran the next load. Now when you try and set it, the rinse only light comes on. Bought the Maytag because I always believed them to be dependable - wrong!! I had a basic model Whirlpool running for a family of 5 for 25 years prior to this Maytag without ever having to call a repair person. Maytag wont deal with the issue so I would recommend to anyone else having any issues with unreliable appliances to do what I am doing - boycotting Maytag!!

I just bought this refrigerator a bit more than 2 years ago. I have to change electronic module for $300 CAD including labor. Home Depot advised me to contact directly Maytag and to express my dissatisfaction about this unreliable product.

I have called this company several times. Most of the time, they tell you that you need to call another department...which means you spend even more time on hold. This washing machine is only 3 years old. I will never buy another Maytag/Whirlpool product again!

Maytag washer mvwc565fw: You have heard about how noisy they are & dont fill up enough water unless you set it on deep water wash. I cant get the right water temp. Its cold, cold warm. No hot at all. Sorry I ever bought the piece of junk. Only have had it a month too. The last washer I had it at least lasted 4 years. Wouldnt recommend it to my worst enemy.

When my stackable washer finish its complete cycle, there is water left in the tub. You can manually turn the tub and you can hear water sloshing around.

I innocently purchased cash from BrandsMart a Maytag French refrigerator MF12665XEM 7, serial #K22311026 in 06/30/2012 in Boca Raton, FL. I assumed I had bought the last fridge I would ever need because it was supposed to be a product that never needs servicing, according to the wide advertising of the bored Maytag repairmen. So I did not buy a warranty. This fridge is completely useless 3.5 years later and I do not have a leg to stand on, Maytag assures me. The only part thats still working is the compressor, which is also the only part that is warranted! Coincidence? What do you think? I cannot afford to replace it. Neither can I afford to fix it.It started with water from the lower freezer pouring out on the kitchen floor. The next few days the cooling element in the upper fridge went, followed by the inability of the fridge to make ice. Then the freezer at the bottom went completely. This appliance was well cared for by me, personally, ever since I bought it. In a week, it was totally gone (with the exception of the compressor). It has been inspected by accredited appliance repairmen who have told me it is gone! Gone? $2200 gone? I am a widow living on SS, now with no fridge. I bought this appliance with what I made from the sale of my house, when they couldnt give them away in 2012. I need a fridge! This is South Florida and temps even now are in the 90s F. I demand satisfaction from Maytag. I was told their very best warranty would have only been for 10 years. Nineteen-month-old dishwasher was repaired once while under warranty; 6 months later, same problem. They said they would send me a new part but I would pay for labor. I wasn’t happy but I agreed. I am being forced to use their people and pay first before the part is received and before the work is done. They said this is their procedure. If I must pay labor, I should be allowed to use whom I want. It is absurd asking for payment before job is done when the part is free. I have since checked the complaints, and there are over 200, with one woman on her fourth control panel – I will be on my second one. I feel this machine should be replaced free of charge. Its obviously a lemon!

I purchase the Maytag Bravos washer & dryer set 3 1/2 years ago brand new. I figured being a Maytag it would last for a long time but nope I was wrong??? I will never buy another Maytag product as long as I live and I will tell all my friends and family not to purchase a Maytag product also!

French door always has freezer closing problems. Whenever the freezer is not closed tight, the bottom will form ice block, and freezer doesnt close. I have extended warranty but the repair people do not give quick appointment. I sick of this product.

I purchased a Maytag dishwasher delivered in dec 2012. We are snowbird Canadians and the dishwasher is only used 5 months per year. Jan 2015 the control panel quit working and the repairman tells me the wires on the control panel have started to melt down. He called Maytag and was told they had extended the warranty on this machine for one more year. Missed it by 2 months. Considering this was only really used one year, I am very disappointed. How can an extended warranty on a safety issue only be for one year? This is my first Maytag product and will be my last. I only purchased it because I was told Whirlpool bought them out and I have never had a problem with Whirlpool.

This machine may save water but I spend more time and money getting out the severe wrinkles it creates. I use my dryer and iron much more than with my previous washer. I never thought a new washer would make wash day more difficult.

The washer that always needs repair! My first problem with my Maytag washer was that the sensor needed replacing (wont wash or spin). Since then I have had the sensor replaced and motor replaced. Today, I had to call for a service call, and was told that I have to wait over a week! Bad customer service!

We bought a new Maytag fridge in 2013, french doors, ice maker on the bottom. In 2 years we have replaced the control panel on the front door 3 times. Each time the plastic panel cracks and breaks free. The last time they replaced the entire door, all on warranty. Well 3 months later it does the exact same thing. I call Maytag and they say, fridge is past its warranty period so no coverage. It will cost me about $600 to replace this control panel.

Not yet two years old, my Maytag Bravos dryer stopped working. When I called a technician to see what the problem was, he told me that the circuit board was burned out and it would be $500.00 to replace. I then called Maytag to find out if there was a problem with this machine and was told no. This apparently is a lie as there were numerous complaints when I checked the internet. I have five Maytag appliances and at this point, only one has not caused a problem. Maytag is not the company of the past when if you had a Maytag, you had the best. The repairman no longer sits around with nothing to do.

After two years of light use of Maytag Washer 300 Series (MHWE300VW13), it stopped working. I bought Maytag Repair Plan Plus One on Oct. 8, 2012. I scheduled a service appointment on the 9th of October and was told the broken part needed to be backordered and that I should get the parts on November 5th. I have waited for almost one month. Today is November 6th and I received an email and was told I will have to wait another month! Am I in America? There are so many complaints about Maytag washers online. Can the consumer be protected? Am I complaining to the air here?!

We are on our 2nd Maytag refrigerator in 6 years and both units have failed. Maytag will not stand behind their product and the service company declined to come out to look at the unit because we were upset and contacting the BBB. So we have spent thousands on 2 refrigerator units that have lasted 2.5 to 3 years a piece. If I could give no stars I would and I would advise to look at other companies and models.

We purchased a Maytag Bravo Washer and Dryer in late 2007. We had a one-year warranty on the set. At just over 2 years, we started having problems with the washer. It started making a loud noise when spinning and started beeping all the time during the cycles. We contacted Maytag and they said the only thing they could do for us was to sell us an extended/repair warranty for $320.00. If the cost of fixing the machine was too much, they had the option to replace it with another machine equal to the value of the machine in todays market, or cash, or a gift card equal to that.We were angry about the cost of the warranty and we were unemployed at the time and couldnt afford that so we just had to let it go. The machine progressively got worse where only two of the cycles would work, but not without beeping several times where you had to fix the load, and the sound got so loud it sounded like you had a jet plane just overhead. Just the other day it completely quit working. We have been in contact with Maytag several times but their only answer is their repair warranty. Weve talked to numerous appliance repairman, who all knew exactly what was wrong because they have seen it so many times, and they told us that we have several things going wrong with the machine we would probably need a new drum, a new drain pump and a new control board.We were told that it would cost more to just buy the parts than it would be to buy a new machine. In the course of our phone calls to Maytag, they have continually told us that they are sorry but there is nothing they can do, in fact they only have record of two of our calls (how convenient!). Since experiencing the issues with the machine, we have researched it online and found that scores of consumers are dealing with the exact same problems we are having which shows that there are defects in the manufacturing of these machines. Maytag should be forced to fix these problems. They are well aware of them and they should have to back up their products.There should be a class action lawsuit out against them. We were told by an appliance repairman that Whirlpool (who bought out Maytag) has a washer called Cabrio that is the exact same model as the Bravo and that they do have a class action lawsuit out against this model. Consumers that purchased the Bravo should be included in that lawsuit. I am stuck with a broken down washer, mildewing clothes and dont know where to turn outside of paying out the money for the extended warranty with no guarantee of what we would get out of it, purchasing a used set with no guarantee, or putting out the expense for a new set.This set was an expense set and we went with Maytag because they used to have a good reputation, but we feel like we have been totally cheated. If the appliance companies were forced to offer a longer warranty on their products, they would have to manufacture them at a higher standard. For the cost of these new machines this is exactly what we as consumers should expect. Please help us to know which direction to go. Even with purchasing a new machine we are apprehensive!
