Purchased Kenmore Pro Elite and did not work on delivery with door sensor and icemaker then would not work. That was fixed. Then compressor broke and 2 months waiting for Sears repairman and parts... They replaced it which was under warranty but 330 in labor. I paid and failed in 2 days. Now another month wait. I called and called. They hung up and never sent reimbursement. I had to buy a new refrigerator after 3 months without a refrigerator.
Its a really great fridge. It works well and is easy to wipe down when it gets messy. Its the best fridge Ive owned so far. I would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a good reliable fridge. It has a sleek look and is also easy to wipe now and the ice machine works great. The size of the fridge is great. Theres lot of room to put everything with space left over and lots of little spots for things like cheese and sauces. The fridge is very very nice on the outside. It looks modern. I love the stainless steel look. Its very classic and nice. Great for any kitchen. The value of the fridge is great. It has a good look so what else are you looking for. Its built very well. I like it very much so its worth the price I think.
We purchased a Kenmore Elite Refrigerator along with a Master Protection Warranty from Sears and paid close to $3000.00. After 14 months our refrigerator stopped working so I called Sears Home Services to set up an appointment on Oct.3, 1019. They said they had no availability until Oct. 22. I was not happy that we had to wait almost three weeks to have someone come out to look at so they said I could have a licensed professional look at and they would approve but anything over $300 they would have to get an approval. Mr. Appliance came on Oct. 12 and determined that the compressor was out and two of the evaporator coils - the cost would be $723.00 but Sears would not approve. So I waited until Oct 22nd 8-5 but at 11am they cancelled my appointment due to the technician having a family emergency. The next available appointment would be Nov. 7th but on Nov. 5th they sent me a text cancelling the appointment without even talking to me. I called once again for the 20th time - not kidding!!! Now Im scheduled for Nov.14 but they wont have the parts - thats just to have them evaluate! So, I called Kenmore today to ask them if they could help me and they pretty much said nothing I could do but wait! Really!?! How wrong is this???
Plenty of shelf room. Nice size freezer. Very good with energy. It is very quite running nice. Large door shelfs, place to put your eggs. Vegetables on the bottom to put all your produce in a meat holder to hold your and keep it fresher longer. Very large to me. I put sandwich meat, all the condiments that I use. I have room to put a whole turkey in it, a gallon of milk, a gallon of tea, still have room for a whole lot more and yes I can fit everything in it I buy. My refrigerator is white and it matches my walls but white goes good with everything. It is easy to clean. No scratches on it. It still looks new since the day I bought. Like they say you pay for what you get and it was a great value. It doesnt break down. It pays for itself in the long run. It was worth the money I paid and I am very happy with my purchase.
Its sleek and very classy and modern. The color is very beautiful and it coordinates with any kitchen or dinette decor. The size is just right to fit in tight areas and is very energy efficient. The size is very good for an apartment size kitchen or for house size kitchen. It is not too big or not to small. Compact and accentuates with any color kitchen or dinette decor. Appearance is very beautiful and very up to date. It will look great in any kitchen or dining room. It will be a conversation piece for many years to come. People will be asking you about it for years. The value of this beautiful refrigerator is a wonderful price for such an awesome item. I would definitely tell my family and friends to purchase it because of the value and the beauty of it.
One morning when we woke up, we smelled something burning. Our 9 year old Kenmore Elite fridge was smoking and smelled like burned plastic/wire. After I pulled out the fridge, I could see an electrical arc which caused the smoke when it was going through its refrigeration cycle. One of the components actually had a hole burned through the side of its plastic case. Every couple of minutes, you could see an electrical arc. I unplugged the the unit and contacted Sears. They didnt seem concerned, so I just ordered a new part. To me, this could have been much worse if we werent home.
Ive had it for a years with no issues. It has a dial to set the temp. It keeps everything cold and frozen in the freezer. It works great! Its a fantastic size! Not huge but definitely a good size. We have no space issues what so ever. It fits everything with no problems and we buy a lot of food. Were a family of 5! Its really just your typical fridge, nothing special. Its white, top is the freezer. Bottom is the fridge. It has 2 handles one for the fridge one for the freezer. The inside is huge - drawers a good size. It was a few years ago. But it still works great! Id say the value probably went down and its probably one of the cheaper ones out there now, since theres so many models that do so much more. This is pretty basic.
Only issue Ive ever had is that ice maker takes up a lot of space in the freezer. Sometimes you have to move things around so door will close. But we have more than enough room for everything. Its a standard issue chrome surfaced appliance... Nothing wrong with it, nothing special about it. We like the way it looks. It came with the house when we bought it. It came with the house when we bought it... Best I can say is that weve never had any problems with it, and it looks fine in our kitchen.
My parents used Kenmore and I found a good deal on mine. The refrigerator has met my expectations of it. I like the space that I have in it and the freezer is spacious. The shelves are far enough apart to store things. I can store a good bit of stuff in it. But I should have went with a bigger one. If I have too much stuff on the top shelf then sometimes things will freeze in it. I probably will buy another Kenmore when I have to buy another refrigerator but I hope it is not too soon because refrigerator can be very expensive to buy.
It was amazing. The best fridge Ive ever had. Reliable, never had any problems and the style I really enjoyed especially that it blends well with my house. The size was perfectly fit to go with my kitchen. Inside was huge and had space for everything I have. All my drinks, all my foods and even the freezer there was plenty of room. The appearance was so cool looking. It was nice and shiny. Wow, I mean just taking a look was so cool. It made me happy. How nice it look especially with the water and ice machine. Never seen anything like it. The value is what it supposed to be. Cant expected to have a cheap fridge that will hold all your grocery and cook food. If you want quality then you must pay for the best. Thats just how the world works so to me I would pay whatever I had for me to be happy and know my food is well taken care of.
Works great. Keeps food perfect! The freezer keeps everything ice cold. Love the space. Does not take up a bunch of unnecessary energy. Very economical and convenient. One of the best refrigerators I have ever had. Worked well with all my food being in there, a lot of room for my snacks as well for the people who eat them. I also put drinks in there. Very huge and fit everything in there like I even have room left over for more food for the next day I want to shop for food. Very big refrigerator. I like the stainless look of the refrigerator and was a very good fit with my other appliances. The size of my refrigerator fit perfect and fit into the space I had for it. It was not too overly large but inside space was very good to fit all food product of ours we buy into. The appearance was very pleasing to the eye and I got a lot of compliments from family and friends and relatives about it. The inside looked very nice and the drawers also were nice to the eye. I love Kenmore products. They are very high quality and a brand you can count on. My refrigerator works great, has the right temperatures and plenty of room. I would definitely buy another in the future.
Do not buy Kenmore 60214. Previous to this model we had a Kenmore that lasted from 2000-2016 until the compressor died. This unit is 1 yr + 2 months and both freezer and fridge are suddenly not cold enough even with both dials are at the coldest. Will NEVER buy Kenmore brand again after being a loyal fan for over 30 years. Piece of junk.
It is efficient. Cooling is very good. Keeps vegetables and perishable fresh for reasonable long period. Sufficient place to store things. Freezer chest is spacious and maintains excellent temperature. It is 18 cu ft. space is sufficient for a family of four. Can store vegetables, meat, chicken, turkey, beer, soda, and many other items. Plenty of shelf space. It is an attractive looking unit. Has gray color and has freezer compartment and larger regular cooling compartment. It is not too tall so we can store light things on top of it. It has excellent value. After a careful use of even five to ten years it commands a very good resale value. I never had any part go bad even after prolonged use.
I chose and always use Kenmore because it has always worked for me for a really long time and has always met my standard. Its very reliable and I love how big and spacious it is. But the thing I disliked about it was that the freezer and the bottoms drawers are kinda small. Could have been a little bigger. And I wish there were more colors to choose from. Other than that, its the best refrigerator brand Ive ever owned.
The Kenmore refrigerator keeps things very cool, and you dont even have to turn the thermostat up very much. It has been a very dependable and worry free fridge, and the freezer works wonderful. The inside of the refrigerator is roomy. You have your shelves to store items and you have the side of the doors to store condiments. The drawers on the bottom inside the fridge has plenty of room to store your fruits and veggies. My fridge is white and it has the freezer on top. It doesnt look all fancy, but the plain white fridge has that simple country look to it. You can use it with any color scheme. The value for the fridge with the freezer built in up top is pretty reasonable, especially if you are on a budget, to purchase. The price is about midway of what you would pay for a different model.
I like how fast it dries clothing and the overall look in my house. I got this brand on a good deal also and I would recommend it and I will always buy it because it is so good. Its a high-quality brand that I trust. I also own a washer and a fridge from the same brand.
Its wonderful. The ice comes out well and its always nice and cool. Best fridge ever. I would recommend it to anyone and probably everyone. Its huge and has enough space. I can fit a lot of groceries in each side.. And it never looks full. Its amazing. Just a lot of room. I have black and it fits well with all my kitchen interior. Its very very black and glossy. I love it. The value is good, I think its definitely worth its price.. Maybe could be a bit cheaper for reasons so people can afford it but Ive had it for years.
When we first got our fridge it was very decently priced and affordable. We have had it for 3 years and it still works great and I havent had any major problems with it. My family always goes with this same brand and have for years.
I bought my Kenmore/LG fridge back in 2013. The fridge has been running great until last week. We noticed the ice maker stopped working then realized the freezer was not freezing and the fridge was not staying cold. I did research over the past couple days and found out the compressors are made by LG and they are not just faulty but have a class action law suit about the compressors. I have scheduled Sears repair to come out to repair the fridge but they are telling me that the compressor is free to replace but not the labor. That is ridiculous. The labor can cost as much as $800. How can you charge labor on a product you know is faulty, have a class action law suit and not have told buyers with a recall? If you are buying LG or Kenmore refrigerator ask questions first about the compressor and do your research first. 1 of 3 fail from what I have read.
I couldnt be more pleased with my refrigerator. The ice machine keeps up very well and it has never gave me a minutes trouble. It produces very clean water with its filter system! It is very roomy for my family of five! It holds a lot of meat in the freezer and still has plenty of room for ice cream and popsicles. The refrigerator part holds milk tea and the crisper is very roomy and we still have room for canned drinks and leftovers. I love the looks of it and how it makes our kitchen shine! So many people has came to our house and complimented on how good it looks. When we brought it in the first day you could tell a difference right away. It was so worth the money I paid for it. Also the water filters are easy to change and the price is reasonable on them too.
It lasts a very long time. I love the ice maker in the refrigerators left door. Another cool thing about the fridge is that it has a lot of space for any groceries you buy. The size is very amazing. When I first got it, it surprised me. The best part about it, it keeps everything nice and cool inside the fridge. The Kenmore 50023 has a very nice appearance. It just pops out in my kitchen. When a family member, or a friend comes over, he/she asks me how did I get it. The value on the Kenmore 50023 isnt that good but it definitely beats other refrigerator prices. I would give it a 5/10 on value and price.
Purchased Kenmore Elite refrigerator Model 795.71033.10 in May 2013 and had problems with the water/ice dispenser (it stuck and water or ice continued to flow with the cup/glass removed) within one month. Had several service calls and parts replacement over the next 6 months; was given a new refrigerator in March 2014 because of the lengthy delay in receiving the new part (for the 2nd time). In less than one year, the same problem re-surfaced with the new fridge (same model). In addition to the flawed dispenser system, I have had multiple issues with scheduling/rescheduling repair appointments. I will not purchase another Kenmore Elite/LG again.
It was more than what I expected and delivered on every aspect. Many people told me good things about it but I never expected. It was very cool and clean. All of my beverages in pristine condition. Down to the innovative edges and every inch and every parameter in just a structure of it was magnificent. Its very boldly made. I like it. The perceived value of the fridge is beyond measure and without boundary and you will not find another product that will live up to the expectations of this. I was very satisfied overall. I would definitely recommend to friends.
It had the features that I was looking for and it also allows me to store more food with all of the extra capacity space. It has many innovative features and great features which greatly serve my food purposes. I like all of the extra freezer space as well as extra door bins and the two side by side refrigerator doors. I also like the way it cools at different settings. It also has a well-lit interior design and it is very easy to clean the glass shelves and allows me to separate fruits and vegetables.
Kenmore is a good brand name. It was very easy to purchase and its a big fridge. It was all clean and brand new, too. I like the top and bottom freezer parts and the look if it. It looks more modern. Its in the color that I wanted. I wished it wouldve came in black or stainless steel but white is good for me. I feel like the fridge keeps everything at the right temperature. It also has a lot of room in freezer. Lots of storage space for sauces and veggies. However, I would make the freezer part a little bigger. There is not much room to make ice. I feel like it may leak a little as well. I hope it works for the next 10 years because the fridge was expensive.
Had a Kenmore fridge for 10 years. Worked great. Never let me down, even worked very well in the hot summers of 100 degrees a lot. Never froze up or needed to be defrosted. Always kept food fresh. Was very easy to clean and they dont cost a lot to run year round.
My refrigerator has retained our food in a reliable way. Even with our frequent power outages, our refrigerator retains it consistent temperature. We love the side by side refrigerator with the built in water dispenser. The stainless steel finish is easy to maintain and stands up to our daily wear and tear. The size of our refrigerator has always been large enough to maintain our family of four needs. The side by side doors make it easy to reach our food and the large bottom doors keep our vegetables fresh and our deli meats and cheese fresh. Kenmore products have always been reliable and offered at a reasonable cost. We were lucky enough to find our refrigerator on sale at the time we were shopping for it.
It does what its supposed to and has been working for many years. I have had few difficulties to it other than the fact the inside trays have broken however, it is still usable. The fridge has plenty enough room for our needs. Rarely do we run out of room in the fridge. The freezer however is not big enough for the food that we store. Its nothing special, just a white fridge that is useful. Nothing more, nothing less of its intended use. I guess it is a nice size but other than that its just a fridge. The value of the fridge is great because we have had it for years now and there hasnt been a major technical problem other than the interior is breaking.
It has a low life capacity and usually, the bulb burns out decently quick which is not a huge problem and should be fixed. Also, I never had room to do what I needed to do and the unreasonable size made it even harder. Its just a hard to handle fridge. But it is still a nice fridge and just my style.
Refrigerator is very expensive. There is some value to it, but there needs to be more value in terms of discounts and losing of the percentages that make for bigger discounts. Meaning I would like 50% off instead of 25% off of the value. The appearance has a good design and color. But from the outside it looks like a rundown appliance that needs work. But when you get to use it, it works really well and has the features and benefits that any appliance should have. My food is kept cold and fresh for when I need to eat it again. I have enough capacity to put my food inside. It holds everything with enough durability that the shelves will not break. The size also is convenient for bottles and big items that need to be kept fresh.
It works really well. Its a good fridge - I would recommend it. If you need a simple good fridge then the Kenmore is the fridge for everyone to use. I love it. I have had it for 23 years now. And it still works like it is brand new! I can fit big cakes, watermelons, apples, and lots of other REALLY big items in it. I have held 2 bowling balls in it before. (Dont ask why.) o_o If you were to get the white fridges then you need to clean it a lot. But a black one not so much. But white ones are still good fridges. I got my fridge for $59.99 dollars at the store but I clean it a lot since its white and my kids are really messy people. Cause kids are kids.
This refrigerator is quiet, stays at the temperature you set it at, makes ice cubes perfectly, keeps food at the right temperature, keeps frozen food frozen. Even though it is a side by side refrigerator, there is a lot of room in the refrigerator and plenty of room in the freezer. I have no problem storing everything I need. We have the no fingerprint finish and we love it. The refrigerator is 12 years old and it still is a very attractive addition to our kitchen. It looks as if it is still brand new. I dont remember what we paid for this refrigerator, but I know it was worth every penny considering how it is still working and the fact that we havent had any problems with it.
It was one of the best refrigerator and it would freeze good in the freezer and run and kept thing cold. It lasted so long before it went out. It kept the food from ruining. It look good and the size was good.
I own a Kenmore Elite Trio French door refrigerator and the large glass shelve shattered in little pieces when I went to clean it under water. This is the second same type of fridge I owned and the problem is that the freezer keeps freezing up and then defrosting to the point that even the food gets defrosted. The ice maker freezes up and stops making ice. The ice melts down, then freezes up to one block of ice. This is a $2,000 purchase and it is the second one that I have owned. The first one was left behind when I sold my home and I only experienced it for five months as I had to move.My freezer has frozen up and the tracks were frozen. When I went to pull on the freezer handle to try to open it, the door hinge came off and the door is hanging on by one hinge. It is Saturday and I had to put a trash can up against the door to try to keep the freezer from defrosting until Monday, when a service man can come out to fix the door. I am reading all of these complaints and I am not a happy camper. I will be calling Sears Monday morning with all these complaints to back up my complaint and I will get back to you to let you know how it goes. I bought this fridge last September 2009.Updated on 05/06/2012:I followed up on my service call. Well, it has been one week, and today, I finally have my Kenmore Elite Trio bottom freezer made by LG working again. Never buy Sears appliances. I spoke to the corporate office, and you cannot speak to anyone above the so-called customer service executive office people. I spoke to a Lana, and she would not tell me her supervisors name. She said it is for security reasons. Ha! The service man came out on Monday, ordered the part, and came back Thursday to install. Well, it was the wrong part for the freezer door. I ordered it again, and the appointment was made for Saturday. The service man came out, and it was a different man who came out to service the fridge. He did not charge me! I am sure they made a mistake, because I was told I would not be reimbursed for food and I would only get maybe a 10 to 15 percent discount. Its not acceptable to me, since I lost over $300.00 worth of food. Lana was not helpful; she was very rude and would not let me speak to anyone else in corporate nor would she gave me any name of who was above her.So I called another number, thinking I would get someone else. And lo and behold, I ended up being transferred to Lana again. I told her that I wanted to speak to the CEO. She said I could not speak to a higher authority. I said I will be writing a letter to the CEO, and she said it will just go to her. I also stated in our conversations that I will be standing out in front of Sears appliance entrance, telling and showing everyone about these complaints that are out on the internet about Kenmore appliances and the lousy service you get now. She said to not threaten her. So I said it was a promise, not a threat. Hmm, I wonder if she had second thoughts and really did authorize the service for free.Well, we will find out if they contact me. I will be telling them Too bad! And I will not be paying for anything, except the service call. Stay tuned. Remember my freezer door got stuck, then I tried to open it and the door fell off the hinge. That is my story. Spread the word. Do not buy appliances at Sears. Oh, I also told her I was a realtor, and I was going to tell everyone in the industry not to buy Sears appliances. Hopefully, she came to realize I was not joking.
Kenmore Elite model 795-77573600 - Spent good money on top of the line (so we thought) refrigerator from Sears. Bought it in 2006 and in 2010 experience the same problem many people had with the light staying on and melting food, etc... Was very hot inside. Went through hoops to get Sears to pay for it after intensive research on internet let me know this was not a rare problem! But at first they wanted me to pay for it all... Okay, then in 2013 found out it was leaky on our hardwood floor. Similar to another complaint I saw, the lines leading up to ice maker were absolute brittle and cracked... We saved repair costs and handled the repairs ourselves. Fast forward to present time, April 2014... More leaks.. Can see drips underneath refrigerator, has warped our hardwood floor & its 10pm fri night... Not optimistic on getting answers this weekend.... Very upset and will never buy from Sears/Kenmore again....
Kenmore 596 fridge now close to five years old. Within year one, ice maker broke (repaired twice and then replaced). Year two, water leaking on the floor caused by automatic defrost clogged drain plug. Replaced drain plug, defrosted ice dam and fixed ice maker - Sears repair bill = $225. Ice maker stopped working two weeks later. Year 4 - compressor dies. Sears repairman here 3 times over 3 weeks - freon leak - unrepairable. Repairman had to request approval for new fridge. We need to wait 36 hours for answer. 20 days without fridge. Unacceptable.
Fits just about anything. Very adjustable and runs quiet. Doesnt use too much energy. Frozen pizzas dont always fit. Temperature stays constant, no need to adjust. Ive stored pretty much every possible grocery item in mine, from bottles of various sizes to large pizza boxes to holiday leftovers. The freezer side is a bit compact but will hold most boxed or wrapped items. Nothing shouts modern and sleek like a stainless steel finish. Easy to clean, shiny, and nearly futuristic. Looks like a restaurant quality unit. Very great deal. Even though I got mine while it was on sale, I would gladly have paid full price for mine. Worth every penny I spent on it. Once this unit eventually gives out, Ill have more than gotten my moneys worth.
I can say its a great product. My family bought it for me and I was quite surprised. It can fit my needs since I live alone. I love how it works... how it keeps the food cold and freezes whats necessary. I highly say Im quite pleased and I wouldnt have it any other way. I would truly recommend the product. The company is quite good. No matter what Ill still buy the product. It took me years to find good product and thats what I love. The value is good and I said to my family trust me. I cant stress. Its a great product. Im a big fan. Contrary to everyone Im going to buy quite a lot of products for my family and friends.
I purchased a refrigerator from Sears in 2013, everything seemed fine until the we noticed that the ice maker was beginning to jam regularly. I finally called to get a repair technician out to address the issue. We were still covered under our warranty so there were not costs incurred. Upon the completion of the repair I asked the technician what would happen if the problem persists. I know that our warranty would soon be expiring and was unsure if a renewal would be necessary. The technician informed me that if the same problem persists that Sears would cover the re-repair for one year. Seeing that we didnt have any other issues with the refrigerator aside from the ice maker we decided not to extend our warranty. Five months later the same problem with the ice maker has returned. I called in this morning to schedule a technician to visit and was told that it would not be a covered service. Although I was told by the visiting technician that the repair was covered for a year, a Sears rep told me that it was only covered for 90 days.Needless to say I am very disappointed with this. The issue that we are having is the same issue that was supposedly fixed. If the problem persists, then the problem was clearly not fixed, and a re-repair should be covered. I have all Kenmore appliances throughout my home and have been very pleased with their quality and performance. Its disappointing to know that a loyal customer can only depend on a 90-day repair service when we have willingly paid thousands in purchases and warranties over the years. Its disappointing to know that Sears does not support their repairs and will not offer a remedy for a repair that has not properly addressed. They dont trust their technicians enough to warranty their repair work, nor do they stand behind their loyal customers. Very, very disappointed. The refrigerator is not even 2 years old and our ice maker no longer functions.
Worked great! Never had any problems with it at all. With a family of seven, it could have been roomier. Maybe more shelving or deeper shelving. More compartments maybe as well. Seemed like I always needed more room for bottles and jugs, etc.. My refrigerator looked great! It really wasnt anything too fancy but yet it had a clean sleek design to it. It was white in color rather plain but it matched and has very clean looking. I believe it was a fantastic value including style, design, price and especially dependability. I would most definitely recommend it for sure.
Soon after I bought the refrigerator 2 years ago, the door switch failed intermittently and the fridge lights didnt work properly, but the fridge ran OK. When the switch broke totally, I ordered a new one, but after 2 days, I noticed the fridge wasnt cooling properly. I was lucky to get a service man to install a new switch, but then I found out that the defroster fan wasnt working. And due to ice buildup on the fins, I had to unplug the fridge for 2 days so that the ice would melt. Otherwise, the fridge would break and would cost a lot to repair. I found out on the internet that one man replaced his door switch 5 times. The product engineer at LG said the switches are OK for the purpose. This seems ridiculous denial to me. The repair guy said that I would be lucky if the fridge didnt have serious problems than the switch more than twice a year and sold me a warranty in case that happens. According to consumer reports Kenmore is the most reliable brand of fridge on the market of all the bottom freezer drawer models. I am not buying it. My previous fridge had no service calls in the 20 years that I owned it. I wanted a more energy efficient model, and now I am sorry..
This refrigerator is manufactured by LG. It looks great however don’t let that fool you. It’s a piece of junk! After just 3 years the compress, and cooling fan failed. The internet is full of complaints about this refrigerator and LG about the compressors failing. It’s a major issues and very costly to repair. The compressor is covered. You see the warranty however expect the labor to cost about $500 bucks for the repair. I complained to Sears to no avail. A relative of mine has the same refrigerator in the LG brand and the compressor has gone out 4 times in two years. So it is common for them to go out numerous times. LG should step up and recall these refrigerators and offer replacements. I definitely see a class action lawsuit coming. This is a major design flaw! Do not buy Kenmore elite or LG you will regret it!
Kenmore is a well-known brand. We have always heard that Kenmore is a great product and even when I was a child, my parents bought Kenmore appliances. We have a very small kitchen and Kenmore was one of only a few products that had the right size that we needed. We couldnt beat the price at the time and my parents had a Kenmore refrigerator too. Our Kenmore refrigerator lasted 10 years with 2 kids and a husband that were constantly opening and closing it. It was also very spacious to keep a lot of food and it never leaked like the refrigerator that I have now. But we would have liked an ice maker instead of having to make ice cubes on a daily basis since theres 4 people in my house. Nevertheless, we would buy a Kenmore again.
Kenmore is such a great brand. I also have a vacuum cleaner from this brand. They make high-quality products and services that are durable and long lasting and extremely innovative and technologically advanced. You really get what you pay for with Kenmore products. The Kenmore refrigerator is very spacious and what I love most about it is it is energy efficient. It keeps my food fresh and is very easy to clean. It has enough shelves for all of my products and it is very quiet and stylish as well. I would highly recommend Kenmore refrigerator as well as other products and they also have great after sales service and good customer service.
I have owned this refrigerator for 5 years and 8 months and it completely stopped working. The repairman said it cant be fixed and that this model was actually re-called and Sears stood behind it for 5 years... Anyone have any advice on this? For Sears to come out to inspect it, it is $100... I spent about $1,800.
We had the Kenmore refrigerator for 7 years. It worked really great and never had any issues with it. The only reason we went with a different one was because we remodeled the kitchen. A family member got the Kenmore and still runs wonderfully. Would recommend this brand to people.
My refrigerator defrost for no reason. The drain pan is not removable!!!! There is blood in the drain pan and you cannot remove or reach to clean it. The smell is disgusting! The user manual mention automatic defrost but I cant figure out when and why it will happen. I lost the content of my refrigerator and with this smell might lose the whole appliance. It is only 2 years old!!! I will never buy Kenmore again. I tried to phone but with the automated service couldnt get any help!
We purchased Kenmore Elite refrigerator on September 5, 2012, thinking it was an Elite brand. It worked fine until 2 days ago October 25, 2017, 7 years later. We came home and found the freezer food are thawed, soggy, the refrigerator inside was warm and food were starting to smell. It seems to be the same problem most owners have, I realized, after reading all the complaints about this Kenmore Elite refrigerator. The electronics on the door lights up and there is still the same noise the refrigerator makes, as if it is still working, but, inside it is warm and food are spoiled. I called the number that is posted inside the door that is posted: Sears repair 1-800-367-6010. I was told because I did not buy a warranty that he will transfer me to the sales department. The sales person was able to give me the details as far as when I purchased the refrigerator, however, the warranty is good only for 1 year but the parts are good up to ten years. For $139 she can send someone to my house to check but it will be on November 5, which is 10 days later. I found there was a recall on LG and Kenmore Elite in 2004 for the same problems. Obviously the problem has not been fixed and Kenmore Elite models all should be recalled again.
I really like Kenmore. We have had our refrigerator for over 10 years and it has not given us any trouble. But, because it is getting old it is starting to leak a little. So it might be about time to start looking into purchasing another refrigerator and I think we might purchase another Kenmore.
Holds food, aesthetically pleasing. Pretty cold on the inside. One side cools and one side freezes. Does what it is supposed to. Its so big I routinely lose food I place inside of it. Its square. Looks like all the other brands I have seen. Made out of some shiny type of metal. I put 4 dents in the door trying to get it inside. Works just as good as the one in my shop that I picked up at a local scrap yard. In short, it works.
Our Kenmore side by side fridge is excellent. Plenty of room and the lighting in it is superb! I can see what I need too and everything is laid out very nicely inside. Makes plenty of ice, easy to clean and very easy to change the water filter inside. We probably looked at 10 different refrigerators and as soon as we saw this one, we knew we had to have it.
I too spent my hard earned dollars to purchase a Kenmore bottom mount refrigerator. Within two years of purchase it began leaking water onto my kitchen floor. Not only is this problematic in terms of actually having cold storage for our food but a hazard. Having been unaware of the problem, I took a major dive on the kitchen floor when I slid in the puddle of water. One more reason to BEWARE of purchasing from Sears. Seems like Sears will not change their irresponsible practices until a law suit forces them to do so.
The refrigerator was given to us by my mother-in-law who had it in her home for at least 2 years. She moved out of her home and it still worked fine so we replaced our refrigerator which was newer and already on its way out. That Kenmore was a very dependable refrigerator that gave us 12 more years of service w/o needing any repairs. When we finally purchase a new refrigerator it was for the purpose of replacing a very scratched up Kenmore (dogs/kids inflicted damage) but amazingly enough it was still working so we donated it and we would not be surprised if it is still giving the new owners good service today. Would purchase another without hesitation.
Keeps food cold, have plenty of shelves, drawers and compartments, does not cost much to run. My electric bill has reduced a little bit. I would recommend this product. The size of the refrigerator is the perfect size for me and my little one, but I also have a 14 cubic foot freezer for stocking up when things I use go on sale. The price was right, crisper drawer works well. The refrigerator looks like a regular refrigerator. The surface is easy to keep clean even with the finger prints left by the toddler. It is easy to move to clean behind so dust doesnt build up. I think it was a good value for the money I paid for it, on sale of course. I try never to pay full price unless absolutely necessary, friend and family days are usually the best time to buy.
Our 16 month old refrigerator has been down for over a month. Sears does not stand behind its products. It does not stand behind it parts guarantee. Sears does not care about customer satisfaction or inconvenience. Its help desk of of no value. The parts we need are made by LG for Kenmore and have been out of stock since at least 6 July. Our most recent possible date to repair is 8 August if the parts happen to be delivered. We are beyond frustrated and disappointed in Sears -- if it did care we would have expected Sears to have offered a loaner for our 3000 dollar investment.
Our Kenmore Elite Fridge that is a year old broke the week before Thanksgiving. The board went out, we lost our food. Sears replaced the board and then 3 days later the fan went out (lost our food again). Over the course of a month, they sent the WRONG part two times (meanwhile we had no fridge for Thanksgiving or Christmas). We have been waiting for the new fan to come (it’s now NYE) and the Freezer just went out too (lost that food). It’s absolutely unbelievable how horrible these appliances are. PLEASE do not buy a Kenmore! I so regret not doing my research before I bought this $2500 refrigerator! Horrible decision! If I could give no stars I would.
I could purchase it thru Sears Outlet for reasonable price and I could adjust temperature for maximization for freshness. I also like how the shelves were spaced for easy access and the ice maker was quiet. I like the size of the refrigerator for a single person. I liked the size of the drawers and the freezer was roomy. But I would improve on the stainless steel finish so that it does not leave smudges and drips so easily and I would also improve on the humidity feature on the drawers.
I purchased a 4 door Kenmore fridge a year ago. I was excited to get it home and begin using it. They offered a 1-year warranty and we declined (Didnt think a $3000.00 fridge would give out in a year). However we were told information on extended warranty would get sent once it was close to our year ending. Well about a month and a half ago, we started to notice that the ice maker wasnt making enough ice. Then noticed the water was not as cold as it usually is. But we brushed this off as using it more than usual. Fast forward to a few days ago, our fridge completely stopped working. I immediately called Sears and was told that our warranty expired 3 days ago. We had mentioned that this seemed to have gone on for some time and just never caught it (Im not a fridge repair person). They said we would have to pay someone to come out and pay for labor and parts. We decided to call a local repair person, and he came out and told us that the computer board in the fridge is damaged and we would be looking at a minimum of $500.00 to replace just that part! So as of now, we arent sure exactly what is wrong it and Sears said they would come out to look at it in October (today is Sep. 9th). This is so frustrating, and we werent able to get any assistance from either company. If the computer part is damaged or broken, isnt that considered a defective part?
Generally the Kenmore 795.76209.900 fridge has worked fine for the 3 years Ive had it. Complaints include I can put up with a few dents from the ultra thin sheet metal cabinet (Does it really have to be that thin??!! Can almost dent it with fingernail!!!), but the cheap plastic freezer compartment guide rail takes the cake. It broke, now I feel like Ive BEEN HAD paying $75.00 with shipping for the replacement part. Am worried the other side will break as well, so trying not to use the upper freezer rack for a week until the part arrives. Otherwise I would REALLY FEEL CHEATED for way over a hundred dollars for $2 worth of molded plastic that should have been made more durable in the first place.
We were happy with the Kenmore. We just recently purchased a GE refrigerator because of the storage space it gave us the option of having. When we had issues with the refrigerator the customer service with Kenmore was very accommodating and helpful.
Very efficient and quiet and also very easy to use with little or no help at all. Its great. I will/wish all of your appliances worked as quietly as that brings to memory when my fridge went kaput. You can fit pots and pans and skillets and soil washers. It also will allow you to put in coolers if theyre not of great size and does get those clean especially after camping and fishing. It has a really Sleek look. Very small in size and fits in the smallest Corner in my kitchen but still is very easy to access. It was the best one that we saw for sale at the time especially for the small size. Besides having a very Sleek look and being small enough to fit in the corner of my kitchen the value seems fantastic as it has a really new look although it is not too old. I really do love it.
Large with lots of storage! Keeps food cold and frozen. Need good pressure water line for ice and water to work properly. Fits perfectly with our lifestyle and amount of food we buy. Fits everything you need for a large family. Plenty of shelving and drawers, inside and in doors, fridge and freezer. Shelves are spaced well for milk and soda. Deep meat and vegetable drawers. Its lovely. We chose black over chrome, the layout is appealing. Side by side doors looks very nice. The shelves and drawers are spacious and good looking. Good price. Black also cheaper than chrome. Fits so much its worth it to be able to plan so far ahead for meals and holidays. Makes entertainment easy.
Today came home to a new refrigerator not working! Lost food in both the freezer and refrigerator. Called Sears/Kenmore, told it would take a WEEK before a tech could come out! They put in an emergency order and am waiting. Incredibly disappointed as I bought the entire Kenmore Pro series for my brand new kitchen!!
Its your pretty basic fridge, no bells and whistles such as ice makers. But in the 8 years or so Ive had it, there have rarely been any problems that needed addressing. It does the job well and doesnt affect my electric bill in a noticeable way. And on those occasions of power outages, it manages to keep things cool/cold until the situation is sorted, so I dont have to clean it out and start over.
On February 6, 2017 I bought this product, Kenmore Elite French doors, bottom freezer with grab and go door for $2.648.00. I loved it. Everything seemed to work fine. On February 6, 2019 the extended warranty ran out. On May 1, 2019 the refrigerator just stopped working. There was water on the floor, the freezer was also affected. All the food was thawing out. I called a repair guy. He came out twice. Had no idea what was wrong with it. So now a week later I am waiting for a guy to come this Monday. Thank goodness I have a 20 year old Whirlpool Refrigerator in the garage. It isnt pretty but at least it works. I do NOT recommend this product.
My Kenmore lasted 15 years. It had plenty of door space as well as freezer space, kept food at a constant temperature. Mine was a 15 cubic foot single door with top freezer. I would personally recommend a Kenmore to anyone.
It was pretty good. They used to make great stuff but they got cheap later on. Now I dont like the brand as much anymore. I will probably buy another brand. I like a fridge that is easy to put everything into. Companies are cheap. The bars on the door break easy. Racks are hard to adjust and they are cheap. It was fine to look at. But companies make cheap crap products anymore and wonder why we dont like them. Cheap crap is stupid. Make good quality stuff please! The stuff made these days is junk shipped from China and you want people to think there is quality? That is just stupid. Get over it and realize it is junk!
We bought this fridge new at a scratch and dent appliance center. It was delivered on September 23 and by January 7 it stopped working efficiently after 115 days. The service tech says it is a bad/leaking evaporator, so we are awaiting news of what will happen next. A Major inconvenience to say the least. We have gone to the dealer once already today and will need to return to negotiate what happens next. The warranty was only for 90 days, so hopefully we can work something out.
After reporting the glass in my year old Kenmore Elite refrigerator exploded. This is a serious safety concern. Buyer beware!! The only thing they would say is warranty is up really??? This is a hazardous product to have in your home. Customer service was terrible. I have many pictures. I will no longer purchase Kenmore appliances.
After shopping around, I chose Kenmore, because it was offered at a good price, and was the size, and color that I wanted. I also liked it, because Kenmore has been a well known brand for a very long time. I like that it keeps beverages in the refrigerator very cold. Moreover, I like all the features, and aesthetic aspects of this refrigerator. I have been very happy with this refrigerator.
Model #596.72213200 - On Wednesday, December 3rd my 84 year old mother opened the refrigerator door only to have it fall off and pull her down to the floor. Everything fell on the floor and broken glass was everywhere. I had her dial 911 for emergency help. She is bruised and sore from the fall. We had our appliance man, Paul Long Appliances come to fix the door and he has applied loctite to the screw that came loose at the bottom. He assured her that the screw will not come out again. He stated that this is a design flaw that allows the screw to come undone by opening the door to the right. My mother, myself and the appliance man feel that this model is a danger and should be recalled.
We have basic Kenmore refrigerators with no water connections and a self-defrosting top freezer. It performs very well, spacious and for all the years we had it, there has been no service calls.
The initial reason we choose Kenmore was first because they received really good reviews, second their price was really good for the features they offered and third the overall durability. The refrigerator we bought is a side by side refrigerator freezer combo and it looks very good. It came with a built in water filter and ice machine. The water filter is a very big deal for me since I drink a lot of water. If it had a couple more cool features it would be nice but I am very impressed with it.
My beautiful Kenmore Elite Bottom drawer refrigerator died suddenly a week and a half ago. It was 5 1/2 years old and I came home from shopping to find the freezer had turned into a pool of water. Two repairmen and dozens of hours shopping around, reading reviews, talking to repairmen on the phone and salesmen at various stores Ive come to realize that no average priced refrigerator made today is expected to last more than 7-12 years at best and though 5 years is a little short, its not all that uncommon. Kenmore refrigerators are made by various other companies... Whirlpool mostly, though mine was made by Amana. Weve looked at the wonderfully rated LGs and Samsungs only to back off when reading other reviews full of complaints about electronic failures and shoddy workmanship. For me as a consumer, ITS ALL ABOUT RELIABILITY AND SERVICE, not fancy bells and whistles. Having both would be nice, but I dont know if thats an option anymore. Ice makers seem to cause a lot of problems too, from what Ive read. Seems like buying SIMPLE would be best. The less money you pay, the less you stand to lose. Sad statement on the quality of products out there today. Maybe we should all buy cheap since the stuff is basically built to be disposable, and send a message to the manufacturers. Hit them in the pocketbook. We all need refrigerators, but we just cant expect a good product it seems. Or anyone at that end who cares. WE still havent decided what to buy... Our stuff is crammed into our old 15 year old GE extra out in the game room. Our neighbor offered us use of their old 35 year old in their garage. Pathetic, isnt it?
Have a 5 1/2 yr. old Kenmore Elite bottom freezer fridge. The unit developed a leak in the cooling system. Of course the warranty is expired (5 yr.). Have been without a working fridge for 6 weeks and counting. Service dept. is terrible. Have been here 6 times. Bought that extended warranty at the time of the first call to Sears to try and offset the repair cost. Have a whole different problem with that. The leak ended up burning up the compressor (which the tech. said wouldnt happen) which lead to another call to service to get the compressor fixed, which ended up being another call to service because the replacement compressor is bad too. Have to wait days and days between appointments, with the last one originally being 13 days until my constant complaining got it lowered to a mere 7 days. Problem has escalated to sears Executive Complaint Dept. which is helping but is too little too late. I will never buy anything that has a Kenmore or Craftsman name on it again. My days of shopping at Sears is also over. Do yourself a favor and avoid Sears and their service dept. at all costs.
Refrigerator has a noisy compressor, I like the LED lights, its very brightly lit and well organized. Door opens a little too fast but probably needs adjusting. I went with simplicity in that usually comes with the fewest problems. Replacement filters are reasonable too and very easy to replace, unlike my last Samsung fridge.
I had a Kenmore refrigerator many years ago that outlasted itself by many years. My family and I loved it. When it came time to be replaced, there were no models at that time that would fit in the assigned space since I had my kitchen remodeled.
Its attractive as far as appliance can go. I would recommend it to anyone. I will most definitely buy more Kenmore appliances in the future. It is plenty big it holds plenty food for my family of three. The freezer is awesome. He keeps everything frozen and things last for a long time when theyre in it. It looks good. It matches all of my other stainless steel clients is. I would most definitely have another in the future. As far as price goes it was definitely affordable. Its a lot cheaper than some of these other list fancy refrigerators. It has a great warranty and I absolutely love it.
I like it because its built in with ice maker and water. Good shape and nice color and its good for the house. So satisfied the model. Good size to the house and its fit for the goods on it. The size is enough and fit to the household and more stuff to out on it and very satisfied to put in the house. The overall appearance is really good and I really like it. So satisfied the shape brand and built in all in all very nice for me. My family like it too so thats why I choose this. The value is good... in all refrigerator this is the brand, shape, and color that I like and very good model and Im sure my family like it and use it.
The experience we had with our Kenmore Refrigerator was very positive. The appliance was very durable as it lasted more than 15 years. That was the second longest tenure of any of our refrigerators since we moved into this home in 1967. It had to withstand opening and closing the appliance dozens of times on a daily basis as there was always great traffic around our Kenmore. Its like many of the Sears products that we have owned: tremendously sturdy and dependable. I would heartily endorse the Kenmore fridge.
Kenmore is a trusted household name that is worth the money you pay for it. With the Kenmore name, you are truly guaranteed a product that goes above industry standards and delivers a quality product. All Kenmore refrigerators are perfect in size, in my opinion. They are big enough to hold the right amount of food, but not terribly too bulky. If room is an issue, you can trust Kenmore to minimize the amount of space their fridges use.All Kenmore cosmetic appearances are on point. They have many different neutral colors to match your kitchen decor. With their price, overall, it is a company that offers flexibility to fit your household needs. You get what you pay for is a motto I live by. Without anything further ado, this company delivers a quality product thats above industry standards for lower the price. Regardless, it is still a price that may not be in your budget immediately, but its well worth every penny.
Receive it about 10 years ago for mothers day. The best gift. It is black with the freezer on top. Easy to clean cause the shelves pull out. A very good size for us. At one time all of 5 kids lived here so a lot of opening and closing.
On purchased a Kenmore top-freezer refrigerator in Jan. of 2021 through sears.com for $955.88. Five months after the purchase the fridge started emitting a burning-like odor. I contacted Sears Home Services more than 10 times over the course of a week to schedule warranty service, but each time I was told that their system was down, and that I should expect a call from them within 2-4 hours. It is now a week later, and I still have not been given an appointment.
Big dollars for blown compressor just 2 years old - Oh well sorry. Salespeople should be required to tell you that according to customer service and tech support at Sears They just dont make them like they used to and that seems to be ok. You spend a few thousand dollars for a year of refrigeration so two years later your appliance will cost another $700. No one cares. Just want to warn you.
I like that the freezer and cooler work good and the drawers in the refrigerator part are placed in convenient places. I love the freezer but wish it were bigger. I think the fridge is fine overall. I love how big the refrigerator part is and how big the drawers are for meat, veggies, and other food. I think the freezer is too small though. It is white and plain on the outside and is nicer on the inside. I think the drawers are pretty cool but nothing fancy. I am cheap and thought that this was a pretty good deal for a basic refrigerator. It is doing what it needs to do and for the price I dont expect more.
We had Kenmore refrigerators when I was a child and I still like the brand. I wanted to continue to purchase Kenmore refrigerators since I knew from experience that they were good and reliable for my family. I am very glad that I purchased this refrigerator. I really liked the ice maker and water dispensary features that were offered on this model. But, I disliked the lack of space there was inside of the freezer. With a growing family, space needed for storing breast milk for my newborn, and doing meal prep, I need more space to store meals and other items. The freezer was large however not large enough for what my family needed.
The fridge got it use out of it. It was worth the money for at what I paid for it. If I had a choice I would buy another one. The fridge also kept everything fresh and cold. The size was perfect. Fit just well in the spot it was designed for. Was a little bit heavy. The freezer could have been bigger. Couldnt store too much meats in there because they would fall out when you open it. The rate of the overall appearance I give it 6 out of a 10. The color was just plain white. Looked very old. Wasnt up to date with the other brands of refrigerators. The rate of the perceived value was better than the other brands of refrigerators. The cost was one of the most affordable for us. The other brands were really high priced.
Quality refrigerator. Keeps food cold. Works well. Little noise. Has no breakdown. The inside is well positioned, easy to get at food, right height. It is appropriate for my needs. Children have no problem getting what they want. Has a stainless steel exterior and makes a nice design for my kitchen. Fits in with other appliances so all add a great look. Value is ok for a 12-year old refrigerator and it has stayed consistent and worth the investment. But need more room in the refrigerator as I tend to buy in bulk so I have a second refrigerator, smaller but has my overflow especially for coming holiday. Will be looking for a larger Kenmore but with same design. Nevertheless, Sears stands behind their Kenmore product. Good support if needed and I get updates as needed.
The performance is good. It work seamlessly. I like the service it is providing. Keep the fruits and vegetable fresh for long time. It is better than other refrigerators available in the market. It have a good size. It have enough space to accommodate my vegetables, food items. We can keep lot of curries inside it. Still we will have space for more items. And the freezer box is also quite big. The look is great. The color is light black, but it does not fade with time. I like this color and it matches with my kitchen. This color was not available with other brands. That was one of the reason I selected this model. It provides a good value. Size is big. Keep the food cool. It have large box for ice and the freezer keeps it quite cold. We can keep food for long duration and it will not get destroyed or rotten.
It is cooling, very ease to use, performance good, really realistic. Happy with the cooling system, helps to keep fresh fruits and vegetables, maintains temperature in summer, powerful freezing system.
The performance is beyond expectations. It has outlasted any other refrigerator I have ever had. It keeps everything very cold and I dont have any problems with it freezing up. My refrigerator is the perfect size. It meets my familys needs well and it has enough room for everything we need to fit in it. In the past I have had issues with having enough room. I love the appearance of my refrigerator. Its not too dull and its not too flashy. Its right in between and it doesnt get scratched up. The refrigerator had a very good value. I paid a good price for it. It wasnt too expensive and wasnt too cheap. I would recommend others to buy it.
I needed a refrigerator that stays cold for a long time and Kenmore seem to be a great brand. It gets cold so fast and keeps food cold. It also have plenty of room for my food. It is also customizable, I could add an ice maker or switch the sides of the door if I wanted to do so. But the engine is so loud, I heard it through the walls and sometimes I could hear it while Im asleep in my room. I also want a freezer that carry a lot of food and the freezer part could be a bit bigger. Other than that, my expectations were met and I would get this product and brand again if I so wish.
We purchased a Kenmore Elite refrigerator and it stopped cooling and we called Sears/Kenmore and they sent multiple people on 4 different occasions to check it out and all said that it was the compressor and we still have warranty on it. To add insult to injury one of their affiliates by name Intelfix paid $100 deductible to them and still they have not fixed my appliance nor replace and whenever we call they will give us a run around. I cant believe we have all of our appliances from the scam of a company called Sears/Kenmore.
I bought brand new appliances from Sears.com in May 2017. The refrigerator broke down already. I called Sears. They sent a repair guy. Ice had formed in the freezer and caused the motor to shut down. He melted the ice with hot water and left... Fridge started making noise. I called back and was advised to wait a few days. The noise stopped came back and the ice formed again. Guy came back. Has to place parts on a 5 mo old refrigerator... Customer service is terrible. I spoke to 5 people. No resolution... They just want to replace parts and not the refrigerator.
On 21 August 2011, we returned home from after a weekend away and noticed that our Sears Kenmore refrigerator (Model: 71309) was not working at all. We have purchased this appliance in June of 2009 with a three year extended warranty. We assumed that since the manufacturer warranties the appliance for the first year, our protection would begin once that ended. Clearly, we were misinformed at the time of our purchase. The entire contents of the freezer/refrigerator were lost. We placed a call to 1-800-4MY-HOME and were informed that our protection agreement expired on 30 June 2011 (not quite two months prior). We were told at that time that a technician could not even come to look at the refrigerator until 09 September 2011. When asked if there was any way someone could come and, at least, look at it before then to determine what was wrong, we were told no. On 22 August 2011, I called 1-800-4MY-HOME again to try to discuss any possible options since we buy all of our appliances from Sears. Meanwhile, I had to have another company come out to look at the unit for $89.00 to, at least, find out what was wrong. They came on on 24 August 2011 and determined that the mother board fuse was blown and a whole new mother board must be installed. On 22 August 2011, I spoke with Ella after calling the 1-800 number. Ella was helpful. She informed me that we could purchase a one year extension for our appliance for $163.98. I asked if we could possibly have a courtesy extension to help move the service request along and perhaps avoid the $89.00 fee for someone else to come and look at the refrigerator, she advised no. Once we paid the one year extension of $163.98, we could schedule an emergency service call where someone would come out within five days. I asked why we were not notified that our warranty was going to expire, and was told that no notification was being sent out. Only as a courtesy, we were given the option of extending for the $163.98. I then asked if we could schedule the emergency service first and then my fiance would just call back to give our credit card information. She said no and that we must call back and pay the extension first before we could schedule. My fiance called back that same day and was given an extremely hard time. At first, they told him that the amount to pay was $251.00. He said that I had just called an hour or so ago and was told $163.98. He was told again that it was $251.00. He called me to ask who I spoke with and I advised him that it was Ella. Finally, after being transferred three times, the amount of $163.98 was found to be the amount to pay. Then, when tried to activate the Emergency Service call, they told him that no one could come out until 07 September. He said that there should be a note saying that we are requesting an emergency service because we had been without the refrigerator since 21 August 11. Reluctantly, a call was scheduled for 29 August 2011 between 1 - 4. We asked that a note be put on the account stating that this could not be cancelled. On 29 August 2011, after taking the afternoon off from work, we received a call at 3:30 saying that the technician had called out sick and they had to cancel the appointment. (Why wait until 3:30?) Then, we asked, Does it say that this appointment cannot be cancelled? The reply was, Yes, but there was no technician available to come. They could reschedule for 30 August 2011 between 1 - 4 again. We were not happy but we agreed. I also called to inquire about the food we lost and was told to give the list to the technician. He would have to call the food loss department and verify a few things. On 30 August 2011, at about 3:45, we received the call that the technician was running much too late to get there, asking if could they reschedule. My fiance had been home since 1:00 p.m. After he informed me of this, I called the escalated customer solutions phone number and was treated with no respect stating that we were given the option of cancelling. This was done if your customers had to go back to work or had other plans. I said that the technician wanted to cancel the appointment again. It was already too late to return to work and we had taken two half days already. This was unacceptable. I advised that I didnt care how late they were going to be. I would be there and I wanted a technician to arrive, prepared to fix my refrigerator. The lady on the phone reluctantly checked with scheduling and I was told that someone would be there that day. She could not give me a time, though.I left work and headed home. Half way home, my fiance called to say that the technician arrived at 4:20 and was there for 9 minutes. The technician determined that the mother board was blown, had to order a part, and no one could come back until 14 September to install it (This was Karl from the Blue team). Karl then proceeded to tell my fiance that if he was handy with a screwdriver (since the part was being mailed to our home), my fiance could open up the back of the refrigerator and install the part himself. Wouldnt this void my warranty that I just purchased? He then said that the part would arrive Thursday to our home. My fiance stated that he was not going to install it himself and when he said that he had the food list to give to the technician to call the food loss department, Karl said that he couldnt take that list. It wouldnt be covered anyway, and there was nothing he could do. We would have to wait until the unit was repaired to even attempt to call it in. My fiance was at a loss of words. Karl left after being there for a total of 9 minutes. My fiance called me as I was still on my way home so I attempted to call Sears again and tried to explain that I was extremely dissatisfied with the events that took place. I was told to hold and the line got disconnected. (It was 4:45 when I called). When I called back, I was told that the offices were closed until 8:00 a.m. the next morning. Needless to say, I was not very happy. When I arrived home, I was shocked to find in the mail a renew your warranty letter. The worst part? It said that I had until 03 October 2011 to renew. The cost? $130.00, which was $35.00 cheaper than what we had paid. I am finding all of this to be a huge game being played by Sears. The notice led me to believe that I was covered until 03 October, and to renew, all I had to do was reply and pay $130.00. But I had been disconnected earlier. At 8:00 a.m. on 31 August 2011, I was calling the escalated number once again. The person who answered, after asking for my phone number, did not even let me talk. She said, I see here that there is an emergency part ordered for you and it will be delivered tomorrow. I asked about the 14 September 2011 installation and why was I disconnected last night. She said, Hold on. No, we can have someone there Saturday. I dont know what 14 September you are talking about. I tried to explain what had happened but she said, I can read it all right here, no need. Is Saturday okay for you? Between 9 - 11? I said yes, but... She interrupted me and promptly said, Have a nice day, thank you for calling Sears, and hung up. I have never been so insulted by this entire process. At this point, if the technician does not arrive on Saturday, I would like my refrigerator replaced with a three year warranty. As a bright note, I called the food loss department myself on 1 September 2011. I spoke with Ashley, who was, I must say, amazing. I told her the whole story and asked if the department would be open on Saturday so the technician could call-in the food loss as I was instructed. She said, No, but I can see what a problem you have been having. She proceeded to process the food loss claim without any problems. She was absolutely amazing, nice and helpful. If my whole experience was like this, I would not have been so angry. On Friday, 02 September 2011, we received a call confirming our appointment for Saturday 03 September between 8 - 12. So, by 12:05, when no one had arrived, called or anything, I called the escalated number that I had been calling all week. They informed me that my account was locked and it had been referred to corporate with a case manager. They could not help me other than to pass my number along and have someone call me back within two hours. I expressed my extreme displeasure and the representative informed me that she understood and would have the corporate case manager call me.I decided to call the number that had confirmed our appointment just to ask why no one had appeared at our house. After holding for 17 minutes, the representative informed me that my appointment was cancelled. I said, What? Who cancelled it? You confirmed it yesterday. She said, Well that is an automated call. I said that I didnt care if it was automated or not. It was confirmed, and this is an emergency call that has been an emergency for a long time. I asked to speak to the person who decided to cancel this without letting us know and after holding for a considerable amount of time, my call was disconnected.I called the escalated number and after holding for 15 minutes, I was informed again that my account was locked and referred to corporate. The representative assured me that she would take my number to her manager (who would get in touch with the case manager) and someone would call me back shortly. I had been at home waiting since 8:00 a.m. and it was now 2 p.m.Then, I received a call from case manager Edwins assistant**. She stated that she reviewed my case and that she understood my frustration. Edwin would contact me today. I explained that I would have never known the appointment had been cancelled had I not called them several times. I informed her that I was completely aggravated and that I could no longer afford to take any time from work. It has been 17 days without a refrigerator, I have been hung up on, given more excuses that I can count and lost time from work. I wanted either someone to come on my time to install the part or I wanted the refrigerator picked up and have my money refunded. At this point, I dont want anything from Sears in my home since its nearly impossible to get it fixed or get any help on an emergency situation. Ive had to eat out for three weeks, which I cannot afford. I cant go another day without a refrigerator. As I am typing this email, I received a call from a technician that he was at our home to install a part. I am flabbergasted. I informed him that someone was supposed to be there on Saturday but no one showed up. There was no one home today. He said, So, you are telling me that I cant install this? I said, That is what I am telling you. No one showed up on Saturday and we found out that it was cancelled after six hours of waiting. He said, I just install parts. I dont know anything else. I said, Well, there is no one home. No one knew you were coming. I know that its not your fault but this has been escalated to corporate. No one can get there because we had no idea you were coming. At 9:45, Rowland in routing just called me apologizing. He informed me that someone cancelled the appointment for Saturday, set it up for today without letting anyone know and that should not have happened. He doesnt understand why but he realizes that this was the wrong thing to do. He said that he can have someone come first appointment on Wednesday, 07 September 2011. Meanwhile, I still have no phone call from the case manager or corporate offices. This is completely unacceptable!Today, 07 September 2011, I just got off the phone with 1-800-469-4663 since Rowland informed me that we would be first on the appointment. But now, they informed me that I am on the schedule for tomorrow between 8 - 12. How much longer is this going to go on? I still have not received satisfaction/ resolution from the case manager. I still do not have a working refrigerator (this is Day 19) and again, we are being pushed off until another day. I feel like this is being treated as a joke. This is still completely unacceptable. I am tired of hearing we are sorry, this is beyond being sorry.
I really love my refrigerator from Kenmore because of their selection and pricing. Also Ive never had any problems with it and I like the styles of the refrigerators come in the colors and styles are convenient and the compartments the way they are built are great.
I purchased a Kenmore refrigerator in 2008. A couple of weeks ago, I noticed that the ice was taking days to freeze and the ice cream was defrosting. I called service and was told that my 1-year warranty had expired and I had two options: purchase an extended 1-yr warranty for $298.00 and the repair would be free, or call service which would cost $109 to diagnose the problem and approx $300+ to repair (based loosely on the symptoms I described).Neither of these options is acceptable for the following reasons: 1. I purchased this refrigerator for about $490. 2. If the average lifespan of a refrigerator is 15-18 years, my EXPECTATION is that this unit will last the average lifetime without major repairs. Had Sears advertised that this unit may only last 4 years before needing major repair, of course I would not have bought it. 3. The estimated cost for repairing this appliance is between 60% and 100% of the purchase price. This is ridiculous. Why would I have bought a unit that would need this type of repair after 4 years.I contacted Sears and they offered me 15% off repair or 15% off the purchase of a new refrigerator. Neither of these options are acceptable. The unit is obviously defective so why would I invest that kind of money in repairing it. If this is the level of confidence they have in their own product, why should I buy another Kenmore refrigerator. Right now, I am out of $500 because I have to purchase another refrigerator, and Sears has basically benefited by selling a full-priced defective product.
Kept everything fresh. No problems with leaking or breaking. Lots of room in freezer! Convenient size and held up to weather conditions in a garage. Perfect size to fit lots of stuff without being bulky. Top freezer gives a lot of freezer space. Much more than a pullout drawer freezer. Clean-looking outside. Neutral white color, clean-looking glass and drawers inside fridge. Sleek-looking. No complaints! Great fridge for reasonable cost. Not much change in electric bill adding this as a secondary garage fridge. I got it with a coupon too so it was a great value.
I recently bought a Kenmore refrigerator to be exact 5 months ago and its already not working! How is this possible? How can you spend your hard earned money on a product that will break down on you in less than 5 months? I called for repairs and was told why I didnt add a protection plan. WHY should I! I shouldnt have to worry about something so expensive breakdown on me so fast. After throwing away all the food that went bad I had to wait 4 days for a technician. I was greeted with a very smelly, rude and ignorant man that did nothing but tell me that he needed to order a motor and left.I called Sears Repair and was told I had to wait another 3-5 days for the motor to come in and then... Make an appointment for another technician to come in. So what do I do for food? Eat out a can for a week? Will I be reimburse for all the breakfast, lunch and dinners I have to pay for until they fix my broken down expensive new refrigerator? I am beyond disappointed with this issue. I will gladly forward my receipt if requested but at this time I do not have it. Item was bought at Sears (Cottman Plaza) in Northeast Philadelphia PA on 8/7/2016.
When is a warranty not a warranty. We have a Kenmore French Door Bottom Freezer Model # 253.7034341d. With 2 weeks of purchase the ice maker failed and Yep service showed up to repair it. They also showed up to repair it the next 5 times it failed. They have replaced all the components, stuffed in insulation and today they applied caulking around all the joints because they didnt have a solution. If were down to applying caulking doesnt it stand to reason that seals and the design are flawed? I want this unit replaced but no, here comes the Sears runaround: Ive been told you have to have 7 service calls first, you have to have parts replaced 4 times and you have to have 3 service calls in 90 days. WHICH IS IT? The repair people say none of that is true. If after 10 months of repairs and it still is flawed is the warranty real? I think its past time to replace this unit. If this is how Sears treats customers who have been with them for 40 years then its no wonder their stores are closing.
