The washer is nice sized and cleans clothes efficiently. I just set and go. The dryer dries really well. Most of my past experience with dryers I need to go down to the basement 2 times to dry a load. Very satisfied with my set.
Our Kenmore Washer is 20 years old and has never caused us an issue. Its reliability convinced us to buy a second Kenmore dryer when the first one shut down. The first dryer was very good but I think dryers, in general, dont last as long.
I grew up in a Kenmore household. The parents swore by the brand. In the few times we needed to replace an appliance, Sears was there with a new Kenmore unit. My parents house is still occupied by a number of older Kenmore appliances, some have to be pushing 25 years. So when the builder grade appliances started dying in my house after 13+ years, I naturally choose Kenmore as a replacement and dropped over $1,600 for a new washer and dryer. Sears showed up on time, installed the washer and dryer, neat and clean and were gone. All they left was the boxes the washer and dryer came in and the neighborhood kids loved playing in them just as I did when I was young. That was four (4) years ago. Sears no longer stands behind you (or for that matter beside you) after your one year warranty expires. We developed gunk in our washing machine despite the monthly cleanouts (BTW anyone ever remember having to clean a washing machine except if a crayon went through it?). It just showed up in a load one day and will not go away. I started looking to find the cause and came across rust around the bleach dispenser. Apparently the quality today is not as it once was. My parents have an older Kenmore that presents no rust at all. I do not know how old it is, but I can tell you it came in avocado green (late 70s maybe?). I hope the pictures I attached show the gunk (picture taken after 5 cleaning cycles), rust in the area of the dispenser (with dispenser removed), some debris that ended up in the lint filter of the dryer, and black specks that seem to have become stuck on the dryer. If you look closely at the specks you can see bare metal, this is what happened to the finish as I tried to remove the black specs with my fingernail - THE FINISH CAME OFF! Mind you, these units are only 4 years old even though they have enormous capacity, they only service two adults and one child. So I called Sears Home Services to see what would be involved with replacing the washer top panel. I gave them the model and serial number per their request and was informed that the only way Sears Home Services could determine how much it would be to replace the part would be for me to spend $79 for them to come out and take a look. I informed them that outside the rusted part, the unit seemed to be operating fine, dirty, but fine. Again I was informed of the $79 fee and Sears started to make an appointment. I hesitated and asked if the part I needed replaced was available, I was told that they had no way of determining if the part was available unless the service tech came out for a fee of $79 - only the techs can order parts. So I asked, just to confirm, The only way I can find out even if the part is available is to pay the $79 and have someone come out and look at it. I was told, Yes and that if I proceeded with the repair the estimate fee would be returned to me (Ill get to more on that in a little bit). I then asked if the part was not available, and I could not proceed with the repair, would I still be responsible for the $79. Again, I was told, Yes and that if I proceeded with the repair the $79 would be refunded. When I asked how they would proceed with the repair if the parts were not available I was told that would be up to the tech to determine. THAT MY FRIENDS IS SOME FINE QUALITY CUSTOMER SERVICE RIGHT THERE! Unbelievable. So I said, No thanks, and hung up the phone.I proceeded to search the net for the part and I found it at Sears Parts Direct and it showed available and that it took an average of 1hr and 45min to install. After hitting the chat button and providing my model and serial number again, I soon found that I could have the part delivered to my house in a couple days for a little over $100 and it was guaranteed to fit. I was stunned. Not 10 minutes prior to this I was told by Sears Home Services that there was no way to know if the part was available and only techs could order it. Hmmmm...Armed with new knowledge, I called back Sears Home Services and asked what the rate ($/hr) or cost would be make the repair based on the information provided by Sears Parts Direct. They again stated that the only way they could determine how much it would cost would be to pay the $79 and have someone provide an estimate and that the $79 would be deducted if I proceeded with the repairs. I again informed them that I knew the part was available, I knew how much it cost, I knew how long it took to put in (according to Sears Parts Direct). Again, Sears Home Services informed me The only way we can tell you how much it costs is to pay the $79 and have someone come out, keep in mind that the $79 fee is removed if you proceed with the repair. Then it dawned on me, how would I ever know if it was removed or not? By paying the $79 and authorizing Sear Home Services to come out. I just signed up for some unknown cost, but I knew I would be out at least $79. I know the part cost and how long it takes to put in. But is that labor rate $50/hr? $100/hr? $350/hr? At some point the $79 is irrelevant and the process is preposterous.Let me apply the same process to something a little more familiar. You want to get something to eat. You go into a restaurant that advertises cheeseburgers (among other things), you ask how much a cheeseburger is and are told that the only way to find out how much a cheeseburger costs is to pay $20 and then a waiter will come over and tell you how much the cheeseburger is. If you buy the cheeseburger they will deduct the $20 waiter fee from the final bill. If you are there to offer them a chance to redeem themselves for a subpar meal you had there some time ago and you only went there because a few of your friends still say it is the great restaurant from many years past, that begs the question, would you drop the $20 to see how much a cheeseburger is?In checking with Sears Parts Direct, apparently Sears does not sell a service manual so that people can service their own appliances. It really is not that hard to do if you know how, the question is the know how. I guess by not providing this information Sears Home Services can keep the $79 racket going. Sears Parts Direct did suggest I try the Ask an Expert section of their website. I did and was unable to post a question/request there. I kept getting messages to try again later or that my search criteria was not found. So far I would say this is not Sears Parts Directs problem but rather an issue from some other Sears subsidiary that handles IT and is suppose to keep these sites going.I did email in my request for either a how to or a service manual. They again asked for the model and serial number, I responded and am awaiting a response. I will see what they come up with. I hope they can do better. I will update with their response. From my go around, so far Sears / Kenmore is not even close to what they used to be. A life expectancy of only 4 years for a $1,600 washer and dryer. Really? Sears has passed on providing quality service and quality products in the name of... oh jeez. I am not sure what they are getting in return besides a bad reputation. I was going to say higher profits, but reading the news - that is not the case. Corporate survival? That is questionable, again reading the news. If Sears is going to sell junk and not stand behind their own brand, there is simply no reason to continue to do business there.Relationships are salvageable, but it takes efforts on both sides. I am willing to my part, hey Sears - you game? I can only hope that Sears spins off Craftsman and Kenmore early enough that those two entities can stage a turn around and not suffer the image blow that Diehard has recently suffered. Buyer beware. Nothing is Elite about Kenmore Elite or Sears Home Services.
My Kenmore washer and dryer have been great. Theyre about 18 years old and electronic controls and I havent had a lick of trouble with them. I grew up with Maytag and they were every dependable but also every costly. So go with Kenmore and get the dependability you want without the higher cost.
I have a Kenmore Washer and Dryer that I bought together about 3 years ago. The dryer has worked perfectly without any mishaps. The washer on the other hand has leaked and had the pipe burst about 3 times now. The first year it was great and then the second year is when everything went bad. I would recommend getting a Kenmore dryer because its amazing and fast. If you like wet laundry rooms, then buy the washer too.
We have had the dryer for a little over a year and recently the tumbler has been making a lot of noise and other movements while on cycle. Have had to take the back off and replace some parts on the new dryer because they wouldnt cover it in the warranty.
Our Kenmore washer and dryer are quiet and reliable. We have been so satisfied with all of our Kenmore products that we have owned. They carry a great and dependable warranty and offer quick friendly service if needed. The service reps that delivered our appliances were friendly and appeared to be very knowledgeable on their products. They took their time to explain the operation of their product and answer any questions we had. Sears will be the first place we look for any household product we may need.
The washer and dryer by Kenmore were amazing. Easy to use and really did a great job washing my familys clothes. The washer machine has every setting you need for all the different fabrics of your clothes. The dryer was also amazing. Never had a problem with my clothes not being dried all the way.
Poor quality on Model 1105072012 Kenmore washer. We bought this washer, and a dryer on 3/17/2015. The washer was so noisy, we took it back. Second washer had a broken pump, and flooded the house. This is the 3rd one, and after 1 year it simply stopped, with the lid lock light flashing. Couldnt get it to self diagnose, so I bought a new lid lock ($56), and after running for part of a cycle it did it, again. Called the store... And SURPRISE!!! They have no record of the sale OR the extended warranty!! Same type of problems with the toaster, and coffee maker, so we will NEVER buy ANYTHING from Sears/Kmart, again!! Since we cant find the receipt, its a lost cause.
I love this dryer and all the different settings it has. I have had it for about a year and I am completely satisfied with its performance. Whether I am drying heavy duty clothing such as jeans or sweatshirts, the performance is right on. Lightweight items such as delicate blouse also get the same treatment. I love the appearance of my Kenmore dryer. It is piggy backed with a front loading Kenmore washing machine and they make an impressive looking team. You cannot beat the prices of Kenmore products. The value is incredibly good as they are hard working and durable appliances. I would definitely recommend this product.
It was very simple and easy to use. Put it on what time you wanted it to run (or by type) and hit the start button. It also would sound when it was drying. It was nice knowing it was time to get my clothes out. I hate wrinkles. When I had my Kenmore dryer it was constantly being used. I had 4 kids and 2 adults to do laundry for. The only time it didnt dry the way I wanted is when the lint trap was full. Sometimes I would have to dry towels twice; I have thick towels. My Kenmore was white all over. Front loading, easy open and easy close. The control panel was on top extension. It made a clicking noise as you turned the knob. Writing on the panel was black and if I remember correctly brown. It did show dirt easily, so I was constantly having to wipe it down. I honestly dont remember what I paid for it. I know that it was the best value at the time. I know that I never did regret getting it or the price I paid.
I thought I was going to get better performance from the cleaner. It was average. The dryer was ok. But expecting the cleaner to do above average of its function. It did clean the clothes but not in a above average kind of way. It lasted me for few years, except the washer had a problem in the second year of purchasing it. Good thing I had a warranty so the washer was replaced but the hassle of customer service people it was a nightmare but eventually I got a washer. Personally I like newer digital models, and the washers with doors opening from the side but those were too expensive but for my budget and my choice within my budget I was ok with the appearance of the washer and dryer. I wasnt happy with price tag for both washer and dryer, but I needed a washer and a dryer for the house. The price was steep when I purchased it but it seemed really steep when the washer broke down after two years of purchasing it.
I always get the most powerful wash even on the delicate cycle. My clothes always come out clean and after the wash they seem almost dry because the washer sucks up so much water. Its wonderful. It cuts down dryer time which saves money. I have been able to overload the washer, even though I shouldnt in a rush. I was able to wash two queen comforters with pillow cases and sheets from two beds. Yes thats bad to do but somehow they still came out very clean even with little run to move. Its very neat looking. Fits any laundry room from basement rooms to the most high end laundry rooms. Is it the sleekest Ive seen? No but its very simple but shows you care (If that makes sense). I have buy the washer though many tough washers (from overloading) and all the clothes still come out clean and the washer doesnt wobble like others might.
My Washer and Dryer worked great with just the right functions, with a big family and busy schedule, needed a great working washer and dryer that was very reliable and great performance. Im a short person and this machines were just the right height for me, so my laundry was always so easy to do. I bought both washer and dryer at a great value, from the appliance store, these machines lasted me a good 8 years with constant use, normal wear and tear. These machines are very durable. I recommend this product to all families.
Kenmore is a brand you can trust. Dries and washes faster than most of the washers and dryers in that category. I am very happy with my washer and dryer choice. Best value for your money for this class of washer and dryer combo. The appearance of my washer and dryer combo looks great in the laundry room. Would highly recommend this combo pack. Thank you.
It is fast and very reliable. It is good for the environment and always dries quickly without wrinkles. Works well in the space with my washer and has a sleek finish. I can always count on it to work whenever I need clothes dried fast! It has never broken once, and it has outlived my washer which was more expensive. A sleek very professional look that fits in well, doesnt take up too much space and has great coloring! The buttons are nice and easy to use always! It is well worth the price! Will last for a long time and I would definitely get one if you are looking for a good priced dryer that will last a long time.
May 2016, we purchased a washer and a dryer and 6 months later the dryer started making a horrible humming sound. So, we called the customer service and repair person comes out says, These products are not really the Kenmore used to be. They are made by Whirlpool just the name Kenmore goes on it. He tried to find the problem and said, Sorry the metal casing of the machine is very thin and does not absorb the sound so it produces this humming. I have called 2nd time because when the dryer is on we cannot be around in the house, once my friends were visiting and they all were uneasy. I am so sorry that last year we sold our 33 years old Kenmore washer and dryer with the house and regret doing it. All I want is to exchange with a better product even if we have to pay a little more from our pocket. For almost 35 years I have not bought any other but Kenmore and seems like this will be my last and I am determined to tell all my family and friends to stay away from these electronics. My washer and dryer are still in warranty and I am to the point where I might go to a legal route. The washer has started the showing some problems such as locking the lid, leaving soap on clothes etc. After my first service call they want me to buy warranty on both items??? Amazing, instead of improving their products they want to make more money by selling the service contract so you feel being looted twice.
It worked well. High efficiency, fairly quiet and durable. It lasted a long time with little repair needed. That is what I have for today. We had to replace a part but I dont remember which one it was. It was very reliable. You will like it. Everyone should get one and be happy with it. It was a nice white color, very appealing and clean looking and it had aggressive styling, better than most boxy washer and dryer. Its a freaking dryer. Very good value. We paid cash and received a discount. We didnt do financing because we dont want to be locked into a payment plan when we dont need to.
We have a Kenmore Elite Smart Wash Quietpak 4 model 11049962603 that we bought in 08/2009 with a 2-year warranty. It is now 11/2011. The machine was replacing a 30 yr. old Maytag that still worked. Our 30 yr. old dryer had died and we thought we would buy a new energy saving set. We were sorry we did. The Maytag would probably still be working. The washer just stopped working the other day. We called Sears Repair to fix it (thats where we got it from). The repair guy came out and said the motor board needed to be replaced. He quoted us $671.13 to repair it. We paid $863.99 plus taxes for the machine (see the problem here?). We refused service at this time, because we wanted to see if something could be done about the costs. In my opinion, we would be better off getting another new machine that doesnt have 2 years of wear and tear on it (we are out $129 for the service call already).I called their 800 number to see if anything could be done. Yes, this is outsourced. I wish they would give the jobs to Americans. We need all the jobs we can get. Well, as with many others, I was told there was absolutely nothing they could do except sell me a 1-year extended warranty for $319.99. It would cover the cost of the repair guy, any parts and labor up to $500. If we take this route, we will be out $129 for the original service call, $319.99 for the warranty, and $171.13 for the costs above $500. The grand total is $620.12 (not much savings here). I called the Escalation Department at 800-376-0557 (at least, I got an American this time). Again, I was told there was nothing they could do since the warranty expired 3 months ago on my 2-year-old machine. The entire time I questioned them all on the price of the part to fix our machine. The repair guy wanted to charge us $503 for the part. On the Sears website, the part is going for $372.70. I asked everyone why such a big difference in the price to no avail. I was told, I dont know anything about the website.” Or, I was told, The repair people and the website each charge their own prices.” I was told by the repair guy that if we picked up the part ourselves, he would install it for another $129 for the call. The grand total here is $501.70 plus the $129 for the original service call. Well, if you are going to gouge customers for not only the service call but also on the parts, I am taking my business elsewhere because of the principle of it all. My husband searched the part out at other places online and we found we could pick the part up starting at $142 for a refurbish and around $225ish for new (we may fix it ourselves).
We purchased this in April 2016. We used it about 5 times before troubles began. The machine would stop mid cycle, would not drain. Unless I stood there and watched it, there was no telling when it had stopped. A Sears repairman came out to fix it. He did a reset on it, suggested I unplug it after every wash in case a power outage happened, and told me he would definitely be back for future repairs. Now it is January 2017. We use the machine for maybe three washes a week, since its a second home. The washer stops mid cycle. Doesnt drain. The sensor clicks on and off. Its super fun. I start it, optimistically, on a normal cycle. I hear it stop working, find it full of water. I do a drain/spin. Seems logical - its full of water! It doesnt usually work. I unplug/restart again, do a rinse/spin. Works! But my clothes havent been washed. Unplug/restart express wash a few times. Tonight I actually handwashes my kids clothes. Thank god the dryer works every time. I dont think we will even waste the $75 on the repairman. Never again, Kenmore. Hard to believe this machine hasnt been recalled.
After washing my dark clothing (no towels or other fuzzy items) they continue to be left with lint, soap or some other residue. Upon instructions from an authorized Kenmore repairman I was told to cut my detergent down to 1 Tsp (small) to 1 Tbl (large). My loads are of medium size but I still only used ONE TEASPOON of HE detergent. No change. Still showing signs of lint/soap on my dark clothes. Again, upon instructions from authorized Kenmore repairman I ran a complete load of darks only WITHOUT ANY DETERGENT AT ALL. The dark clothes from that load again show sign of lint, soap or something else remaining. When now reading reviews for Kenmore washers this seems to be a recurring problem. Wish I had read them first or I never would have purchased this Sears Kenmore Washer Model 25132411. Will someone take responsibility and find out why my new washer is not cleaning my clothes properly?
I love the timed sensors for the clothing being dried. Most dryers have the times setting (which this one does) but it is also very easy to over dry your clothes and then a burnt smell could happen. Delicates setting is perfect with the sensor. I love it. I have actually bought another one for my friend who had a terrible old dryer. Her clothes are no longer a burnt smell. The reliability of this dryer is just simply fantastic. It doesnt overheat. It runs very quiet. I love the front facing dryers. Its easier for me being short to grab and put items in the dryer. I love the circle look to it as well. Having top for some laundry folding space is wonderful too. The value of this product I too believe couldnt be any better. I am simply satisfied and wouldnt go with another dryer. Hopefully the quality and value pay off in the long run.
I have purchased a Kenmore double stacked washer and dryer that has never failed me. I loved to use this for all my washing need. Its quiet and really gets my clothes clean. It has great reliability. It has never broke down. Its smart washer and dryer to have. I love the big cycles that it can capacitate. I have a good size one. It is silver. It is a kind of chrome style. Its very shiny. It is very appealing. I like this clover because it is great. It has a large drum for maximum use. It is a washer and dryer that I would recommend. Im not really sure what else you want me to say about it. I think that this is a great value for what I got. It is very durable. I have had it for quite a couple of years. I love the way it performs and could not ever see myself with it.
I bought the washer and dryer set with the pedestals when I had my house built 8 years ago and spent over $2,500. I will never, ever again buy such an expensive set and will never, ever again buy anything from Sears. The dryer went out last year (year 7) and had more error codes than I knew what to do with. The cost for a technician to come out and just look is approximately $300 and that cost only includes them coming out - nothing is yet fixed. So, I went on the internet and read that the problem I was having was likely a control board. I called Sears to get a new one (approximately $300) and was told (after I specifically asked) if I could return the board if it turned out not to be the problem. I was told that I could. The board they sent me was reconditioned (RECONDITIONED!) and didnt work either. I called Sears to get a return part and was told since it came from their overseas supplier, I could not return it. So, I spent a ridiculous amount of money for a simple dryer that doesnt last and then spent more ridiculous amounts of money trying to fix it only to learn that not only does Sears not stand behind their products, but they also dont stand by their return policy. I bought a new dryer through Home Depot -- a holiday sale and military discount provided me with a new dryer for UNDER $300. Now the washer is gone. No error messages, nothing. Ive learned not to call a technician and not to order replacement parts from Sears. Im simply buying a new washer, which will no doubt be much cheaper than trying to fix the joke that Sears put out. I highly recommend buying from another company (Sears cannot be trusted with the parts, service, or guarantees). They suckered me but good.
The washer and dryer were priced well. I have saved money on water bills and electric. They work efficiently. I trust the Kenmore brand over the competition.
Have had my washer and dryer for over 15 years and have never had any problems with either machine. They work great. Large capacity washer holds lots of clothes and large capacity dryer dries lots of clothes. This cuts down on the time I have to spend doing laundry.
I received my washer and dryer last year and I love everything about them. Drying time is quick, washing is a breeze. I love these products and I would recommend to family and friends. My washer and dryer are very reliable, I have no complaints about either of them. The dryer dries perfectly and the washer washes beautifully. My washer and dryer are both white, the knobs are at the top on the washer, the dryer is a front loading machine. They complement my laundry room very well, and I love these products. It was a great purchase. The perceived value is 600 for the pair, it was a good deal for the pair and I havent had any complaints about them. Its a great value for the money. I would recommend to anyone looking to purchase these items.
Both the washer and dryer perform well. We had few problems with them. They lasted a long time. I would be happy to purchase a Kenmore again. I only have good things to say about them.
I purchased my Kenmore Heavy-Duty washer and dryer set the next week available after I got married in Feb 1976 (seventy-six). That makes it about mid-March 1976. Here now in Jan 2020 I can truthfully say that I never had one speck of trouble from the set until now when the washer stopped draining. Having a Sears repairman respond to fix the problem revealed that it cannot be repaired. I must now try to find another Kenmore Washer. Admittedly, I did not use it on any routine regularity and once not used at all when in an apartment without a hookup for a couple years. But, I suspect I won't need it to last as many as 44 more years since I'm now 73 years old. It worked just great for me!
I am very satisfied with their products. They never fail me. They always get my stuff extra clean. My stuff always come out like brand new thats why I love my washer and dryer. My husband has never had a problem either. Were thinking about getting a newer version.
The dryer performed as expected, and generally got all of the clothes dry. Occasionally if there was more than a standard load or a heavy item, I had to put some things back for 10 or 15 minutes. I bought scratch and dent at an outlet, but it didnt affect performance and really looked good too as the dents werent readily visible. I was happy with the purchase. Most of the time, it fit everything I needed it to. I found it to be very reliable. I never had any problems with it as there were no maintenance issues. I would recommend it to others. Considering it was scratch and dent, it looked very good and would have looked good if bought at the regular store too. The dents were located where you wouldnt notice them unless you were specifically looking for them. It had the appearance of a normal dryer. While it didnt have all the bells and whistles, I felt that its performance was at least as good as the higher end machines. It was a great value as it got the clothes dry, but didnt cost an arm and a leg.
This thing moans and groans. Washes really slow and takes your laundry hostage for quite some time, set it on hot and cold water comes out???? The dryer has flashing lights that dont mean a thing???? Kenmore has no customer service you can talk to???? Basically INFERIOR JUNK.
Several years ago when we first purchased Kenmore devices they were reliable and the service was great. The past few years the devices have not been as good quality wise or service wise. The last dryer we purchased was just dumped off and not properly installed. We had to go back to the store and complain before the job was done correctly.
Kenmore is a brand well spoken for. I was able to purchase the washer and dryer. The washer is an exceptional washer of clothes. The machines are easy to clean. If parts have to be replaced easy to find. I love the brand and the name is dependable and reliable. The representatives are knowledgeable and attentive to your needs in what type of appliance will work for you.
My dryer is quick, efficient, has energy saver features. I like the style of it and the size of loads it can do. I have put many different sized loads in it and the clothes come out wrinkle free. I like that I can change the settings for delicate clothing. One of the reasons I bought this dryer was the design. I needed a front loading washer and dryer for the design of my laundry room/bathroom. I have had many compliments on how they look. I paid a little more than I wanted to on this, but It has all the latest features and it is front loading like my washer. I have owned it for over 2 years and have had no maintenance issues with it.
Kenmore washer model 110.27102310. Purchased washer and dryer two months ago. Since day one, it has been loud, walks the floor and now its leaking oil. I have bought Kenmore appliances for over thirty years with great results. This washer is NOT KENMORE QUALITY! I have a Sears serviceman coming in two days. He will hear my wrath.... along with everyone else. Sadly disappointed in Kenmore and even more disappointed in Sears for selling this crap. It WILL catch up with them.
I bought the washer dryer set a year ago and I have never had any problems and dont anticipate any problems. Most of the washers I have owned in the past my t-shirts have ended up with holes in them after owning the washer after a month. My idea of my current washer and dryer is they are the best so that I have owned. After a year I still dont have holes in my clothes from the washer or dryer. The machines are well built and there were many colors to choose from. They are sturdy and made to American quality. They are quiet operating and very energy efficient. The quality and workmanship of the machines are well worth the price. When you can wash your clothes without having to replace them before the clothes should need replacing.
This dryer has AMAZING performance. I have very large comforters and had to always bring them to laundromats because of the size, until I bought this. It is very efficient on energy and spacious enough to wash some of the largest items. The reliability of this unit is SPECTACULAR! I have never had a single issue with it, not one. Others I have owned I have had issues with a few years into owning it. The appearance of this is great! Its attractive and elegant. It was a little more expensive than others in its class but with the savings in the energy usage and the physical size of the washer as far as what can fit in it, it is WELL worth the extra cost than others in its class! Value wise I HIGHLY recommend it!
The dryer works well, for the most part. We did have to have it serviced once and it only needed a new dryer belt. It continues to work fine but it does make a squeaky noise. It has enough settings for my needs and I dont have any major complaints with the reliability of this dryer. I like the appearance of this dryer. It looks nice and the control panel isnt overwhelming with too many buttons and knobs to look at. I feel that this dryer was a good price and a good value. I am happy with the value of this dryer and would buy another one in the future.
Its great. The dryer makes everything clean. This dryer is one of the best Kenmore machines weve ever had! I enjoy using the machine. The clothes come out clean and refreshed and reliable. This is my favorite dryer. I would recommend to all thinking about buying. Its very large and hard to move. It has very nice buttons that are reliable. The appearance is classy. It has large qualities that make it great. The value was not bad at all. It is efficient and the price is worth it. Go buy one now. This has to be the top of the line washer and dryer around.
I have the set and the washer is fantastic. A part went out years ago and replaced it with no issues since. The dryer has had the thermostat and heating element changed and now something else has gone out and it will not run. But it ran great when it did. Other than my washer and dryer being clean in appearance, the overall shape, size and construct doesnt phase me and looks pretty consistent from one brands product to the other. I received mine as a gift from my mother, so in terms of value from the standpoint that it was a gift, the washer and dryer are badass.
My last washer/dryer set was Maytag. Had it 13 yrs, never a service call. Left it in our house when we sold it. Went & bought new Kenmore set. After reading some of these reviews about Kenmore...always reliable, run forever etc. Thats what I thought. Had Kenmore in past & was happy. Well...times have changed!! Im not a top of the line person...paying for bells & whistles Im not even going to use. This model 25132 is mid-line but doesnt have the big agitator, but 4.3 capacity for BIG loads.1st mth I hated it...noisy, walking all over when it spun. Called them out. Serviceman said nothing wrong with it...was I using proper detergent. HE!! What!!! Detergent makes it vibrate. I think not. Married 50 yrs. Have never had a new washer do this. BTW was using proper detergent. 3 yr mark agitator plate went out...stripped. Replaced that. Im sure all the shaking & vibrating had something to do with that. Now 3 mths later, vibrating sooo BAD hits the walls, turns sideways etc. Called out service again. Drum is bent again, Im sure from all the banging around. Costly repair. So am just going to take repair money & buy new washer. But reading reviews, seems like every brand has some of the same issues. Repairman said Whirlpool has bought Maytag & other brands therefore everything has gone downhill. Really disappointing!!!
I have had this machine for 3 years now and hate it every time I do laundry. The only function I can use is the timed dry. When I use the other functions, the machine doesnt dry the clothes or takes all day to dry one load. I called a technician to come and look over my dryer. This technician told me that the dry clothes are coming in contact with the sensor inside the machine next to the lint holder and left. I started putting smaller loads in the dryer and did not help. So I tried the timed dry to see if this would work and it does. But why spend money on a machine if you can only use one function? Useless is what I tell ya.
Model 25370313211 - I purchased this refrigerator November 22, 2012. Ten and 1/2 months later my freezer temperature started fluctuating from 0 to 18 degrees causing my food to thaw and partially refreeze. I contacted Sears within the first year of purchase and after several house calls and $1700 dollars worth of repairs they told me that any other problem would not be covered under the manufacture warranty. During the last few visits of repairs to my freezer my ice maker and water dispenser stopped working. Since this problem was not in the original complaint I had to pay for the repair. I was told by the repairman that it was a design flaw in the refrigerator and I would have that problem again which I did 3 months later. He showed me how to take the panel out of the inside and thaw the water line with a hair dryer. I have to thaw the waterline every eight weeks. This problem was not mentioned on the website when I purchased the refrigerator!!Less than a year after the last repair freezer temperature is fluctuating from 0 to 20 degrees (UNSAFE!) and Kenmore says they are no longer responsible. I spoke to 2 of the Kenmore service reps and they both agreed that the refrigerator I purchased was a lemon. One suggested that I speak to the store manager to see if he could help me. I spoke to him about my situation and he promised to call me in 3 days. He never returned my phone call. I went to the store and spoke to the assistant manager. He said that the products that they sell are not meant to last and that it was out of the stores hands since I had their Kenmore repairman work on my refrigerator. He again gave me their number and all they said is that they would offer me a 20% discount on my service. I told them that I did not have $1500 to spend on their defective product. Shame on you Sears!
This dryer may cost some money but it is worth it. I havent had a problem with it in 3 years and I got it second hand so its even older than 3 years. We use this dryer every day and it is reliable. It still works wonders for drying my familys clothes and I havent had any complications thus far. We have the white one and it looks very classy. It is also quiet and a very nice size dryer. You can fit lots of clothes in one load.
Washer works very well and the dryer works very quickly and efficiently. Would like to get a bigger capacity dryer though but the washing machine works really well. The washer could be a larger so we could wash bigger loads and the dryer could be larger for big blankets and quilts. I could use a more efficient washing machine. Both the washer and dryer look all right but could be more rugged and sturdy. Maybe taller and less wider so they can fit in smaller spaces. The washer and dryer are worth the amount we paid for them. Just think we need to spend more money for a bigger capacity washer and dryer.
It lasted a long time and it even washed my neighbors clothes too. It provided a big wash basin for my familys jeans. I love the way it handled comforters and blankets. The dryer got nice and hot.
The value of my machines is worth a million bucks. My clothes are clean and smell good and I only have to fill and empty the machines. Nothing easier than that. Washer handles big loads with ease. Whites are whites and colored maintain their color. Both washer and dryer are reliable. Have used the dryer for years and its still going strong. But washer is new and Im planning to have it for years. They last forever. Always buy Kenmore.
We purchased a Kenmore Elite washer and dryer front loader and after 7 years, the control panel went out on dryer. We called for service and the Tech said it would be cheaper to purchase a new dryer than to fix the one we have! I do not recommend this product.
Kenmore Series 500, top loader washer with automatic load sensing - Ordered online, everything went wrong (multiple order numbers) from beginning to end. But, my biggest complaint is the actual washer. It has an automatic water sensor that doesnt give you enough water to completely wash the load. Even after two rinses, the clothes still come out with lint on my black capris (washed separately). They are not thoroughly washed and result in a big tight knot in my washer upon completion. I have tried deep wash, but theres no way to get additional water in it. The water sensor barely gives you enough water to get the clothes damp. I hate it. Give me the old fashioned one with a knob to select water level, and an agitator would be nice too. Not sure what genius decided washing clothes with no agitator and no water would be a great idea!!!
Kenmore appliances are very reliable and economical to operate. I would recommend them to everyone. I had a washer and dryer (Kenmore) years ago and wish I had of bought them again. They last a very very long time.
We have purchased the Kenmore Elite in July 2011 at Sears. First, the clothes were washed okay. Then I started to notice that the clothes do not look clean and doesnt smell fresh. I decided to rinse them with my hands before putting them into a dryer. The results were astonishing! The water is dirty, soupy and brownish in color. I have to rinse clothes three to four times until the water gets clean. My elbows and shoulders started to ache.
Kenmore appliances are excellent. Ive had my Kenmore dryer for 15 years and its still running fine. Never had any problems with it. I also had a Kenmore washer that lasted for 12 years and it was running fine when we decided to replace it for a newer model with more features.
Sometimes I wish I had a little bigger washing tub but it is a brand I never had a problem with. So I would always purchase this brand because of its reputation. The brand appearance is fine, I dont need all the bells and whistles like some people. Regular washer and dryer are fine for me. It has all the recommended settings that are really reliable as well as having a wonderful warranty. Kenmore has been around for a really long time and it is a great brand at a great price so I would recommend it to everyone.
I purchased this washing machine and it needed servicing within the first few months. So did the matching dryer. The washing machine is a top load model which I thought would be like the old models and clean the clothes better. I was very wrong. It doesnt even agitate the clothes, they just sit in the wash bin and dont even move. There is nothing in the centre of the drum to move the clothes during the wash cycle. The drum moves slightly during the wash cycel but there isnt enough movement to move the clothing. The bin doesnt fill up with enough water to properly clean the clothes and as a result, the clothes dont get rinsed properly either. A normal load takes over 100 minutes to go through the cycle. Shame on you Samsung for selling such a poor quality product. Did I mention that this is the washing machine that was exploding during the spin cycle? We contacted Samsung numerous times over a two year period to get a service person to come out but they did nothing.
I have been very happy with my Kenmore washer and dryer. I havent had any major problems with them and they have held up well. I have had them for years and they still work great even after washing clothes for 4 people everyday. Im very impressed with this brand. Its the best brand Ive had.
I would recommend this washer and dryer to anyone who is looking to buy one. It always works and it can hold a heavy load! Mine is a little old but it still works as if it were yesterday that I found it in the house that I bought. You can put anything in this washer and dryer and it will not harm it in any way. It is an old pair but it works efficiently every single time. The overall appearance is excellent especially considering it is old. It does not matter what the washer or dryer looks like as far as I am concerned. The important thing is that it works. It is really hard for me to say the value of these two. One I bought a long time ago and the other came with the house but I would estimate about $400 for each one. They work very well.
I purchased a Kenmore Elite top load washing machine. Luckily, I did purchase the warranty at that time. Shortly after the purchase, the control board went out and needed to be replaced. If I hadnt had the warranty, it would have cost me which is seriously ridiculous, that a new washer should only last a few weeks. The machine continued to have this error code to come up. We would turn it off and restart it. It would work for a little while, then the code would appear again. I finally ordered another control board in December 2011. This one worked for a month or so, then it again started having the error again. The Washer at this time continues to get an error code, although now it will not go into the spin mode no matter how many times we turn it off and on, or unplug it.This has been a learning experience for me. This washer has been the worst major purchase I have ever made. I will not buy another Kenmore product. Its sad, because I thought they were a good name. I actually had purchased the washer, dryer, and the refrigerator at the same time. I havent had a problem with my dryer but had a major water problem with the water line to the refrigerator. I had to replace the water line twice to the refrigerator. It had leaked and flooded through the floor to the ceiling below.Needless to say, I havent been back to Sears in a a number of years, other than to buy the filters for my refrigerator. At this point, I cannot wait for them to get back to me regarding this stupid washing machine. I feel that if you spend that much money on a machine, it should last for more than 5 years without needing major repairs.
You cannot go wrong with this purchase. Never have had to call for maintenance. Uses minimal detergent and water, easy to use for anybody, even my 12-year-old son. These are some of the most reliable washer and dryer sets I have ever owned. The buttons are easy to push and the writing on the front is easy to see. They are very sleek and smooth. The fronts are easy to read and operate. There are no knobs that you will have to try to turn and it is self-explanatory on how to run these two fantastic machines. They are a little more expensive than what you can find on the market, but when you take into consideration the costs of repair they are worth it in the long run.
We have had this dryer somewhere around a year or so and I have never had a problem with it. This dryer works great, it is easy to clean and it runs like a charm. It is a great dryer for the price and it does the job well. It is white or maybe an egg shell type color with blue or grayish knobs things. We like it a lot and it looks clean. Most people need a little help with basics these days and this dryer helps foot that bill. I would let a friend know about it sure.
I have had the same wash dryer for almost 10 years, they both still work great! I also grew up using the same name of appliances. The Kenmore products have always been used in my home. And I would recommend Kenmore any day.
This model was the best one Sears had under the Kenmore label. It has a matching dryer which I also purchased. It is one of the newer low water washers which took some getting used to. Over time I have learned a lot in regard to what and what not to do in order to operate this machine as a high efficiency washer. When I mastered a few of the "mystery tricks" then this seemingly "monster washer" became my friendly servant. I learned by the various "wish-wash" sounds when the wash cycle needed a bit more water, and by redistributing the clothes up around the sides of the rim, more water would be added by the machine. Also, though it is a super heavy-duty washer, I've learned not to load it too full or it will keep going back to the rinse cycle (over and over) and never go forward to spin.
I probably paid more than I should have for the washer & dryer. We have relatives who bought LG washer & dryer similar to our Kenmore that cost about $500.00 less. We bought Kenmore because I thought if we ever needed parts or service we wouldnt have any problems getting them.
I have never had a problem. I load the clothes in, add laundry products, walk away and come back to very clean clothes. I never worry if my washer or matching dryer will do their jobs. Highly recommend to others. My washer holds large loads and gets them clean. This saves me time, money and on laundry products. But if you have a small load or delicate the washer is able to handle it as well. A sleek modern design you would be happy to own. Even though I choose classic white there are other color options available. It will make your laundry room look great and you may even look toward to doing laundry. For what you receive a stylish dependable washer and dryer its a very reasonable price. Especially when you consider it will last you for years to come.
Kenmore Series 700 HE washer/dryer - Horrible experience starting from day one - delivery was a nightmare. After using washer for less than 60 days I confirmed that washer doesnt put enough water in tub to get clothes clean - detergent remains undissolved. I tried several different cycle settings - had to use heavy bedding for all loads to get enough water in tub - still doesnt clean sheets or blankets - they are dry at the end of the cycle. The washer doesnt agitate vigorously enough to ever get the clothing or bedding submerged in water. Sears would not consider doing any kind of exchange for a different machine and said there is nothing we can do as it is beyond 30 days. Said to sell it on Craigs list.
I absolutely love it. It works great. I use it a couple of times a day and we havent had any issue with it so far. Some dryers tend to not dry as much when used a lot. Mine is still working great. The Kenmore dryer is also fast and keeps wrinkles out. It makes clothes soft and fluffy. It also doesnt get overheated and make clothes smell burnt. It has plenty of room for the bigger loads. I also loved the price. I couldnt find a better deal. It’s an energy saver, so now I dont have to worry about light bill jumping through the roof. The appearance is very plain and boring though. It needs some color maybe giving the option to choose for a color. That way you can match it up the decor in your home.
It heats really well. Ive had it for over 12 years now. It is fairly quiet. I love the value of the dryer. It was very affordable. Capacity and energy efficiency is what I will look for when this dryer plays out. Id like to purchase something that is really energy efficient and very compact and nice looking with all the bells and whistles. I would not buy another dryer that requires regular repairs. Any dryer that I purchase must be of high quality even if it is without the bells and whistles. It really heats well. It is fairly quiet and it was an excellent price. It is a full size model - very basic looking nothing fancy to look at but it is a workhorse. The light has gone out in it but it still works as if it was new. Ive only had it cleaned once since I had it.
Very efficient drying clothes no matter how much clothes are inside. Lint was easy to remove after drying clothes also. It also had plenty of space for clothes. Very durable, never had heating element go out or any other issues. I had a warranty on the dryer but never had to use it. I think it was very good at drying clothes. Dryer was white in color and front loading for adding clothes to it. It has a see through door which you can watch your clothes dry. It has also a metal frame For the price of the dryer I feel it has had great value and last a very long time. I feel its a great dryer with nice features for anyone to use.
We have had the washer since 2003. It has been quite reliable and fits the needs of a family of four. I had it when my son, who was in sports and Naval Sea Cadet Corp, was living with us and it handled large amounts of VERY dirty laundry. While it washes very well, the spin cycle is awful. It leaves the clothes VERY wet and we often have to run the spin cycle several times before putting the clothes into the dryer. Also, the washer is very dated, plain and boring and has a cheap appearance. It does not have any redeeming qualities with regard to the aesthetics of the washer. But I believe that the washer is a good value for the price. It is a below base model – purely to perform a function.
Both washer and dryer are large capacity loaders, energy efficient, they have multiple heat settings, affordable priced. I would recommend them. I can load this washing machine and dryer to the max and the clothes come out clean and bright, they dont take long to dry. I can dry on low as efficiently as if it were on regular and save money. Plain white enamel, they have simple knobs with 3-4 different laundry and dry settings. They both hold large capacity laundry batches. They are valuable to me as they were not expensive and they keep the cost down per load because they are both energy efficient. They both have special features as far as bleach dispenser and fabric softener dispensers go.
It was the first washer I bought and used it for many years. In the market to buy another one. Great product. Bought a different brand that didnt hold up as well. Definitely prefer the Kenmore brand to the last washer I had. My Kenmore dryer is very old but it still works. May have to get a set.
I bought my Kenmore washer and dryer set at a low price on Black Friday one year. It was a matching set both were white with gray knobs which added a nice touch to my gray laundry room. The washer was a top loader and the dryer was a front loader. Also, the set was very reliable. The washer cleaned clothes thoroughly and the dryer dried my clothes in barely any time at all. In fact, I used the set for 5 years and after all that time, it still worked just as good as the first day I bought it. I feel like I could have sold them at 5 years old for the same price. It was definitely worth the money! I loved my Kenmore washer and dryer set.
I had this brand for about 7 years. They worked very well up until the washer knob stopped working unless I put a fork behind the knob to hold it in place. Also when I opened the lid, it would not stop spinning which is dangerous. The dryer did fine until the motor stopped spinning and it wasnt worth fixing. Good reasonably priced brand.
My husband purchased me a new Sears Kenmore Elite washer and dryer combination 2 years ago and I am very dissatisfied. Even he has become dissatisfied with the washer. With a full or 1/2 load the washer continues to go off track (UE) and when I reset the washer and think that its about finished, it replenishes with water. This is the worst washer machine ever. I will not purchase another.
Even though the washer worked well, it developed a leak after a few months that would frustrate us because we had just invested in a new washer. Not counting on the leak, the washer worked well and was somewhat reliable. We liked the easy the washer cleaned the clothes. This was upsetting because of the bad experience we had with the leak. This washer looks like a very modern and functional machine. The appearance led us to keep the machine on the main floor of the house instead of hiding it on the basement. The dryer was expensive but not overly expensive. The repair costs to fix the leak made the machine not have as good a value as it would have. Not the withstanding the leak the value was good.
Works great. Keeps food perfect! The freezer keeps everything ice cold. Love the space. Does not take up a bunch of unnecessary energy. Very economical and convenient. One of the best refrigerators I have ever had. I highly recommend this brand. It does not take space although it is quite large from the inside which make it very special. I can put everything in the refrigerator cause I have enough space to put all the food in there. The refrigerator is amazing and I like the way it looks. I chose the grey color since it fits with my kitchen and I with any other color. It is also very easy to clean because of the good material used to manufacture it. Does not attract hardly any dust or lint. Has sturdy door handles. Because its energy efficient I save on my monthly electric bill. Also my food stay fresher longer. All drinks get cool quick and stay cool so my grocery bill is manageable.
Before I bought these Kenmore Elite Front Loaders, I had the Maytag Neptunes. Best washer & dryer Ive ever owned. Now with these Kenmores, quite a different story. No matter the type of products you use, your clothes still come out looking dingy & dirty.
Dryer has been dependable for years. Gets clothes dry in a reasonable amount of time and we have never had any issues with it. I would definitely buy a Kenmore again. Our Kenmore dryer has been completely reliable. We have not had one issue with it. Weve taken it on two cross country moves and it still works flawlessly. The appearance of our dryer is fine. Its not a showpiece but its pleasant enough. It is white and has clean lines, with blue accents on the dials. I am very happy with the value of our Kenmore dryer. We bought it starting out in our first house without a lot of money, but it has been dependable and we have not had any reason to upgrade even though we could now.
I had the washer and dryer for about 10 years. No problems with dryer but I had to have the washer repaired a few times. Overall like the Kenmore brand. Very reliable for the dryer. I have a family of 5 so I used them daily. The washer broke a belt and was very loud at times. I can not remember all the repairs but I had at least 7 calls for repairs over 10 days. I bought the basic model with no frills. The washer and dryer are both white and easy to keep clean. They look very good in my utility room next to each other. I purchased the base model with no special options. I have been very happy with the washer and dryer, and with the price I had to pay for them. I used the washer and dryer daily, and they were dependable.
Our Kenmore washer is less than five years old, and weve been having problems with it not agitating and/or spinning. It makes all the sounds like its doing something, but when you open the door, nothing is happening. Its hit or miss, too. Sometimes, Ill open the door after a cycle to put the wash into the dryer, and everything on the bottom is sopping wet. Ive tried adjusting the clothes thinking it didnt spin because its unbalanced, but even empty it wont spin. Then, two hours later, it might decide to spin. When I emailed Sears, I was sent a generic email response to the effect of, Your washer only has a one year warranty, unless you purchased extended warranty... I hope this information has been helpful. You are important to us so we hope that you will continue to make Sears your first choice for future purchases. Never again!
We bought a Kenmore Connect washer and dryer almost 2 years ago. The washing machine is pure awful. Stains remain, odors continue even after washing. I would absolutely not advise this washing machine. Ive cleaned the drain compartment and the machine more often than recommended. These dirty clothes continue to come out of this waste of money washing machine. Ive tried different HE formulated detergents. No effect. Ive used the prewash and extra rinse cycles with the heavy duty cycle with no improvement. The flip-flop motion used to clean the clothes is a waste of electricity, water and the 2, yes, two-hour cycle. Weve replaced this useless washing machine with a Speed Queen washer. 25 minute long heavy duty cycle pumps out the truly clean clothes. Please do not waste your money on a Kenmore Connect, unless of course you like stains and stink on your clean clothes.
My washer and dryer have both been very good to us. Weve had them about 4 years now, and the only issue weve had is the dryer quit heating one day and we needed to replace a tiny, cheap part. No problems since then. Thanks Kenmore!
Very quiet, dries quickly and low on wrinkles. Uses less electricity than my previous dryer. Lint trap is easy to put in and out. Easy to read dials. Ending buzzer is loud enough to hear. Very reliable. I have not had one single problem. I would recommend it. Not a bad price but I find many things at Sears can be overpriced. I guess I could have bought a dryer at a lower price but, I live in an area where you cant shop around.
The dryer has adequately provided for the course of 6 years to date. It has proper drying levels which allow for delicates and towels and has served its purpose for a growing family. The dryer is particularly reliable. It has handled a family of seven as well as many other guests over the course of the years and has handled all imaginable load sizes. The appearance is nothing special and we dont expect much from clothes dryers really. We simply expect versatility, quick drying and the ease of load and remove especially when having children doing the bulk of the laundry. The value speaks for itself. Any dryer that can withstand the usage of a growing family of seven over the course of a couple decades is well worth its weight in gold.
I have had my Kenmore washer and dryer for years and they are still going strong! Once these are a few years older I will definitely purchase new ones! Highly recommend the brand!
It is an amazing machine. I love how efficient it is. It always works amazing. I recommend this machine to everyone who is looking for an awesome experience with a new set washer and dryer. I love mine and I wouldnt change it. It fits a very large load of clothing and towels. It doesnt take very long to dry at all and it always works amazingly.
Weve had our Kenmore electric washer (top-loader) and dryer for approx. 15 years and have had excellent results with both, having had to have the dryer repaired once and the washer twice; none of the service calls were expensive or life-threatening for the appliances. We use them about 5 times a week and are so satisfied we recently purchased new ones to go in a new laundry room. This time to save money we got a front-loading washer and gas dryer. The old pair, still working perfectly, we gifted to a grandchild.
Just works great. Load after load the washer gets my clothes cleaned. Just doesnt seem to wear and tear like others. It will eventually wear and tear but I feel this will last me the value I paid for it. My clothes are getting clean the same way as my very first load. Kenmore has reliability in its name and it shows in their products namely the washer. I feel Im gonna wash at least 1 million loads and each one will be like 1st wash. I am the type to enjoy fashion and this washer just doesnt have a sleek look. I know that people dont want to look at my washer and dryer but if it has a sleek, personal look, I would gladly show it off. I paid about $600 and it is well worth it.
I absolutely love the see thru top.In all my years I have not owned a washer that works so good ever. Im so glad I bought it. Best ever. Ive owned it now for almost 2 years and it runs like it did the first time I used it. I have 2 grown daughters that bring their laundry over (1 has a 4-year-old and her boyfriend. The other is her and her husband) to use it and both were tickled with it. I LOVE the see-through lid! Its the first thing that drew me in to consider it. When I saw it was a Kenmore, I was sold. Ive owned several Kenmore in the past and they have always outlasted other brands. I bought mine from Lowes and it was on a good sale. The price was a little high for me but the sale helped a lot. I also bought the matching dryer. The set was on sale.
The Kenmore devices I had was a washer and dryer. The machines were very reliable and dependable up until the day they did not work anymore. I had my Kenmore washer and dryer for more than 20 years. I was able to wash clothes several times a week. This was one experience in a washer and dryer that I would recommend to other users.
When I moved into my house the Kenmore dryer had some years on it. The dryer is still performing well. I would recommend Kenmore products as one of the best out there on the market. It keeps on going drying clothes year after year with no complaints. Kenmore is known for their reliability or to say you get your money worth. It gives the Maytag guy a run for the money. Its yesterdays style and pretty basic in its look. I find it just fine for my taste as long as it gets the job done. Some folks like basic and some like the real high tech. The beauty is in the eye of the beholder. When its all said and done Kenmore give you a bang for your buck. The builders and engineers were thoughtful in the design and assembly to add value.
I have a stackable washer and dryer from Kenmore and just love it. Both the washer and dryer work perfectly every time. I have had no problems in 4 years of owning them. I trust the quality that Kenmore puts into their products. The dials on the machines are very straightforward and not confusing. I am very pleased with the product.
I loved the washer. It was a front loader. We have had it for over 10 years. Does a very good job of washing the laundry. It is very quick at washing the clothes and very quiet. Could not even tell if it was on and running, thats how quiet it is. Also has many settings on the washer but I only need a few like delicate and normal. Now the dryer you can tell it is on as you hear the cloth tumble inside but still it is a great dryer. It does its job good and we are happy with both the washer and dryer.
Now considering replacement as continued use over 8 years necessitates a new unit. Washer leaks through the front door, have to keep a towel on floor. Lint in dryer builds up too fast and is hard to clean. Sears now closed doors, no manufacturing agent available.
My first washer/dryer set was a Kenmore. They lasted me 28+ years before the washer died. I bought a new Kenmore Elite set that has a large enough capacity for all types of bedding, mattress covers, quilts, etc. It uses HE soap, doesnt require much. Takes longer to wash, but saves on water. I was told that washers lasting anywhere near what the older ones did are a thing of the past. The new ones, if youre lucky, will last 8 years. Mine is currently 2.5 years old, so Ill have to wait and see. Definitely would recommend Kenmore.
Efficient and nice design. Washer is really great, and dryer leaves clothes nicely dried and soft. Doesnt consume most of my time so I can freely do other things around the house. Quick to wash.
Very efficient and it saves money on my electric bill, but sometimes the drying sensor will stop the dryer before everything is completely dry. My dryer can hold a large load of towels with ease, which is very convenient so I can do fewer loads of laundry each week. Plus all the options on the dryer make drying anything easy. While most people hide their laundry room because of the clunky-looking machine that look decades out of date, my laundry room looks clean and up to date. While many would say the newer front loaders are too expensive, l find in the long run that its worth every penny because of how much I am able to save of water and electricity.
Very reliable and good looking. We have always used Kenmore washers and dryers. They seem to use less energy and weve never had to call a technician. The washer is for large capacity and the clothes seem rotate in the tub better than other models Ive seen. Our clothes come out cleaner with less detergent and less wrinkles. The dryer removes lint very nicely and the permanent press cycle works great for wrinkle free dry clothes.
Bought a stacking front load Kenmore washer and dryer from Sears about 6 years ago and discovered DISTURBING issues! Extreme MOLD not only around the rubber door but throughout the washing device! So outraged because it is excessive black mold that could be harming my small children!
Has enough settings for all different materials I wash and dry. The wrinkle guard actually works despite my initial disbelief. Comes with a good warranty in case it ever breaks down or needs repairs or replacement. The container part is big enough for most loads, but may not dry properly if it is overloaded. Front loading door does make things a bit awkward. It looks like a dryer. It fits in the space where you would expect a dryer to go. The white color is typical for a dryer. Its mostly a no frills dryer, so probably is overpriced for what it can do. The wrinkle guard is nice but is not worth the extra charge.
