Kenmore Washers
Ive used a Kenmore washer as long I can remember, Ive ways found it to be very durable, and will last until its on it last leg, it is always my first choice. When I am looking for a reliable appliance, kenmore is the first to come to mind.
Very happy with overall operation of the washer. Save a lot of water this type of washer. Get my clothes clean. Easy to use and operate. Price was reasonable for this type of washer. It is very reliable. Have no problems with the washer. Everything that told by me through the salesperson was correct. Save a lot of water and on the water bill. Look very much like any other HE washer but the price was reasonable. Easy to use and has a nice appearance in my laundry area. I have the white ones and easy to clean. Energy star rating so it save on electric bills. The washer does take has much water so your water bill is cheaper. You can a great amount of laundry into the washer and they are clean.
I purchased Kenmore Elite washer in 2010 and truly wish I had read these reviews before my purchase. I have always purchased my appliances from Sears and felt that after spending almost $1000, that I had a great washer. Yes, my bleach compartment has rusted and also the machine was leaking. Had to purchase rods. Also, it doesnt wash any better than any less expensive model. Clothes wrinkle as others have commented. Also found out that it is really made by LG and Kenmore just put its name on the product. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS WASHER!
My Kenmore washing machine does an excellent job. It is quiet and very easy to use. My clothes are always clean and I do not require as much soap as the other machines I have had in the past. Although my washing machine is a top loader and I have been told front loaders are better, I have used them in the past and I find the machine I have now is just as good or better than the front loading machines I have used in the past.
Weve had Kenmore washer. For the 21 yrs never had any problems with it. Id recommend it to anyone. Its been rough hard working/ washer better than any Ive had. I think Kenmore is the best.
This washer is large and handles my kids messy clothes easily. It is quiet and uses much less water than my previous washer. It can handle bulky loads with ease. We have had this washer for 5 years and have never had any issues to the need to call for a service repair. Best part is, if you follow the directions, dirty clothes come out clean! It isnt the most modern look, and it has a lot of different buttons, but it is a practical looking washer. The dial might be a bit antiquated looking, but it is easy to use. This washer is a little more expensive than others, but it is eco-friendly and cuts down on water use, which in drought-stricken areas makes it totally worth it. Plus, it is competitively priced with other front loaders.
I purchased this washer years ago. From day one it vibrates heavily while spinning. At lease 2-3 times a year it had to be re-balanced. The machine was installed in a second floor (house) and after years of use, the floor around it is being affected by its strong vibrations. Every year I had to pay out of pocket to maintain the maintenance agreement. This year, after paying 200+ for the agreement, when I called for them to come and balance the machine, they deny the service. I feel cheated, and totally taken by Sears for selling a product and installing it on a second floor, when they knew it was not a good place to put it. I also feel it is unfair that no one warned us about the heavy vibrations the machine does in the spinning mode. Second, I feel cheated by them selling me the service contract by phone and not specifying that it did not cover balancing the machine anymore when they had do so for all the previous years. When I tried to talk to someone in their department, they would not give me any information as to where or who should I contact to complain about the machine. I came about this website on my own and decided to write my experience with Sears and with Kenmore. If anyone knows where I could bring this issue to light, I would appreciate it. I am sure many other customers have had similar experiences with their He3 Elite Washer Machines. Many newer homes do have the laundry room in the upstairs.
The washers appearance is nothing out of the ordinary and is not too complicated to use. It is very reliable and I use probably 3 times a day. It works great. It washes my clothes really well and I havent had any problems with it since I have bought it. I have never had a washer like it before. It is one of the best washers Ive owned and the value of the washer is well beyond the price. It is totally worth the price I paid and would probably buy another one if anything ever happens to my washer.
Purchased a top loading high efficiency low water washer model 110-28133410 from a Sears location with our Sears charge account on 5/17/15 for $900. Never happy with the low water cleaning quality. Had issues with the lid lock which we figured out how to work around. Now in 2020 only five years later transmission is shot (not because of overloading only my husband and myself in the home). Sears service was AWFUL. Finally got an appt. for a service call, took off work, they were suppose to be here by noon, got a text at 11:30 canceling our appt. and rescheduling for 6 DAYS LATER. When I called customer service to say I expect the next initial diagnostic service call to be not charged since now I will have lost two days of work. Would not offer any consideration for their non show. Hired another appliance repair service to be told washer not work fixing. I had believed in supporting businesses that have been around for years, but they were horrible. Canceled my Sears card and will never do business with them or Kenmore again. (Now have a basic Speed Queen. LOVE it!! I have water again!!!)
My Kenmore washer broke down in 1/2017. I paid a Sears technician $99 to come and tell me that a $600 washer required a $1400 repair. I discarded that washer and purchased a new Kenmore washer in 2/2017 for ~$600. In a little over two years, the new washer began to leak water with every wash to the point of flooding the house and making the washer not useful. The washer is getting used by 2 people who use it for usual clothes/sheets washes for a family of two. After another repair person visit, I was told that the tub is torn and will cost $1400 to replace. So my options are to (a) buy a new washer for $600 every two years, (b) buy a new washer for $600 and then buy a so-called appliance protection plan for $600/year to get a protection plan which pays $500 towards the repair or replacement AND pay the $99 technician fee on each repair. So my question is, as a consumer spending $600 on an appliance, am I expected to pay another $600/yr for repairs to this appliance after two years of life or spend $600 every two years because thats the lifespan of a Sears washer?
Turn knobs are easy to use and cant complain about the looks of the washer. I liked the smooth surface look and feel. Its a basic washer and has very good value for what you get, just would never buy one again and I would not recommend buying this washer due to all the issues I had with mine. I had the washer drum break down at least 2x while I owned. Had issues with manufacturers warranty. This washer is not reliable. Stay away. I would purchase a completely different brand. Never good experience with any Kenmore appliances.
I think that the washer is a very good one even compared to the others on the market. It has good speed and quality and is not difficult to set up. I think that it is a very reliable washer. It has never broke on us and weve had it for 3 years. It has never malfunctioned or slowed down or overflowed etc. I would definitely recommend it to others. Its sleek and futuristic and could match in any house. Its a nice size and doesnt take up all the room. I think its the perfect washer and would buy it again. Its the perfect washer for me. I would def recommend it to mothers. Although youre paying a little extra its worth the price because of quality and reliability.
Kenmore washer never with hot water - It does not wash with hot water! Cold only! I turn the dial to hot and its never even warm! That may be why it locks. I want my old washer back!
Only had the washer for 2 years and already broke... Water is leaking from underneath and a very very loud noise on the spin cycle that it sounds like the old wood roller coaster at Cedar Point... My first and last Kenmore product. Went out and got me a Samsung.
Economic on water use and energy efficient, quick, stable, cleans well with good array of different cycles, easy to use, load and unload. Ergonomic design fits well with normal counter heights. Durable with ability to handle recurring and high-frequency heavy loads. No maintenance or repair issues since owned. Reliable timer devices and release of additive like fabric softener. Clean lines and ergonomic design, with color choices, that integrate with laundry room design. Dials and doors are placed in convenient locations and add to look of appliance. Price was higher than some competitors model of similar in function and level in line. Cost higher than lower line machines. Reliability and durability balances cost for a good value for cost.
Do not purchase this Kenmore Elite washer. The washer constantly stops due to uneven loads. Customer service is worse than the washer. Saw several reviews where its obviously a problem and have even had recalls on several models, but more concerned about selling home warranty than fixing the problem. Dryer is great though.
It washes and dries my cloth pretty well. It is very reliable in the sense that it lasts longer than some brands. The appearance of this product looks good but needs to be improved. The quality of this product is great and its a good value for your money.
This is a nice washer. Works well, uses less water and it gets all my clothes clean. Different settings to use, including a short wash. Saves electricity. This washer is really easy to use. Have had it for a while and never had any problems with it. Can not complain about anything. It fits a whole queen bed set, including comforter, sheets and pillow cases. Does a great job cleaning clothes even when loaded fully. Towels are usually heavy so I was worried filling the washer up all the way, but this washer can deal and clean everything. I wash hot. They come out very clean and are soft after drying. I do not need to use extra detergent, just the recommended amount of liquid, or pods. It does look nice. If dust gets on there I can easily wipe it clean with a damp cloths. Color is white but not really bright. Love the front load. I ordered this item online and used a coupon code and a rebate site, so I received a discount on it. I did not overpay and I am happy I got such a good deal on this washer.
I bought the high efficiency washer to save time and water. It takes twice as long to wash the clothes and almost always leaves soap residues on the clothes and I use high efficiency soap. I like the ease of use and wide variety of cycles. I live in a smaller community and the Sears store here does not have a repairman. This brings me to my next big problem. I bought the washer 4 years ago and yesterday it broke! It senses and then fills with water but when it moves to wash or to spin it does not agitate or spin. Water pumped out leaving me with soapy clothes still dripping wet. Apparently, I will have to purchase another machine and it will NOT be a Kenmore!
I really like it. It was a great set. Would recommend to anyone. It was green, it had a position for a small load... It clean my clothes really good. My hubby bought it for me.
I had this washer for about 15 years. It stopped spinning the clothes dry. Instead of spending money for repair, I decided I would just buy another washer. Unbelievable that the washer lasted 15 years. (I use my appliances as directed in instruction manuals and I never allowed my husband to touch my appliances.)
Sears installed new washing machine in August and Sears installer messed up the connection so we had a huge leak (out of plain sight) and lost thousands of gallons of water in California (where we have a drought and are supposed to conserve water). We had over $1000 extra on the water bill and called the specialist from DWP who had discovered this tremendous leak. I called Sears on the 4th of Jan. and they gave me emergency appointments on the 10th while I have a fountain of water gushing out. Sears rep advised not to touch (or fix) it before their technician gets here. Also, they advised me to seek reimbursement from my homeowners insurance (that does not cover damage caused by leaking plumbing) from the home warranty company (Fidelity) that does not want to deal with it either. The actual washing machine (Kenmore Elite) does not function as promised either. It fills out to the top while washing one pair of pants!. On Jan. 7th, I managed to get a Sears technician at my house. He rudely informed me that he couldnt help me as it was a plumbing issue and machine was plumbed in incorrectly (it was delivered, installed and plumbed in by Sears) and I needed to call my plumber. Until then he would not address the washers technical issues. Sears supervisor, Larry, advised me on the phone not to use an outside plumber as the adjuster from Sears, Carly, will contact me and when she sends the inspector, he will evaluate the situation. The time frame for this action is unknown. Meanwhile I am losing 100s of gallons of water in the drought state of CA and 100s of dollars as well. I also cant use the Kenmore Elite machine that costs $900 plus over $1000 in water bill due to incorrect installation by Sears and the bill keeps going up along with wasted water. I need reimbursement for expenses and a new washer properly installed (a simpler cheaper model is okay).Today, Jan. 10th, 2013, I had called the outside plumber to fix the leak as I was losing too much water and the plumber fixed the incorrect installation by Sears and stopped the leak. Sears Technician came to check out the machine, a Kenmore Elite (model #79631512210) that has water settings on Hot, Warm, Eco Warm, Cold, Top Cold. On all of these settings, the water in the machine remains cold, not due to the incorrect connection (it has been corrected by my plumber), but due to the computer board internal setting that regulates how machine would be filled. On Hot setting, it takes about 2 cups of hot water from the Hot hose and follows up with 2-3 gallons of cold water from the Cold hose. As a result, the washing water is cold on the Hot setting! Technician explained to me that in this high efficiency machine, it is normal as it is trying to save my gas-heated water. He said it runs normal and he spent about 5 minutes in my house. The machine could not be normal as it has same cold water temperature on 5 different temperature settings indicated on the panel of this Kenmore machine. I need Sears/Kenmore to change this machine to another one that works as stated on description and instructions. I have no help or response from Sears so far, despite their promise to stand by their promise of quality of product and service.
My washer has been running well for 5 plus years. I washed several loads of laundry and it always got my clothes clean. I try to stick with medium sized loads. I can get four pairs of jeans and several shirts in mine. Also, I like the simplicity of it, theres nothing too confusing. You have a simple knob and controls. White is the traditional color. I am very happy with my washer. It definitely is worth what I paid for it. It gets the job done. I would recommend this type of washer to anyone.
Sears doesnt make a quality product like they used to. (Does anyone?) Why cant they just leave well enough alone? I had an excellent Kenmore washer for 20 years - no problems whatsoever. So I buy this one, and its been THE worst purchase Ive made. It takes about 45 min for a regular load to wash, its very loud and it completely broke within 2 years. The repairman said the sensor pad is made by Whirlpool and its badly designed. This is a very bad washer and Im very disappointed in Sears.
Very good. Works like a charm. Perfect. Recommended to all friends. Truly amazing. Wouldnt trade for the world. Blue and black with silver knobs and five purple light buttons. Great for everyday clothing needs. Absolutely astonishing. It was recommended to me. It works really good. I love it. Friends love it. Everyone loves it. Its fabulous. Very nice value.
It was big, and fit what I would call huge loads. It had a super fast cycle system unlike a lot of others that take for what seems like forever and my clothes came out more clean than with my previous ones. It would fit more than what I needed into it. When I would do a load of laundry it would actually be 2 normal loads, my normal loads. And to my surprise they came out more clean than I would have expected them too. I am in love with them. They arent the newest looking with the clear lid or anything but it definitely gets the job done. Laundry is laundry. As long as the equipment does its job appearance shouldnt matter. Its well worth it in all truthfulness. I would buy it a thousand times over before Id go invest in one of the fancy ones. These are exactly what I needed.
High efficiency top load washer - Absolute garbage. The most stupid and frustrating purchase of my life. Done with Kenmore!!! Kenmore should fire their engineers and go back to the drawing board. My clothes come out more dirty than when I put them in.
The performance is great, not a single problem with it. Everyone should buy this washer. Kenmore washers are amazing. Its reliability is great. Its just perfect. Not a single problem with it. I’m happy with it, so is my mom and soon to be wife loves it too. I love the front loading white washers. They are really dependable and work fine. Beyond that I think that the sound is incredibly quiet and efficient. Id say that it is a very good piece of technology. It is a highly valuable item and I was very happy when I was able to purchase it at a great price!
The very first couple weeks we bought a kenmore front load washer it flooded out the laundry room many times. Floors, walls and basement was damaged. We have called for a appliance tech, to come and see what was happening. The most times this would happen if I used any other setting except normal wash in the beginning. The tech couldnt see anything wrong. He didnt try putting it on wash while he was here. He didnt seem to have any idea about this product. After a couple of months going through the same thing we requested for a new washer while the warranty was still on it. Sears was months looking into the problem for us and every time we go and see them, they said finally we will be getting a new one. We never did get a new one and now the washer is worst than what it ever was. As of this weekend I am draining the water in a bucket so I can get my clothes out of the washer. Very dissatisfied customer...
I have owned my Kenmore top loading washing machine for 10 years. It may not be the most attractive washing machine but it is definitely the most reliable and dependable washing machine that I have ever owned. It has never failed me once and gets all my clothes very clean. I have recommended the Kenmore washer to many of my friends and have never heard of any breakdowns or repairs. I know that someday this machine will quit on me and when that day occurs, I will go right back to the Sears store and buy another Kenmore!
It was fine, got stains out but I wasnt overly impressed. The unit was also very loud during the spin cycle. The unit seemed to be big enough for weekly washing for my husband and I but I had to break up the loads if my daughters clothes were included. The controls were very easy to read and set, no fancy extra or unneeded options. I liked that it was straightforward and didnt have settings that I would never use, just to appear higher quality. The unit looked fine and did the job it was asked to so I guess it was a good value for the money, although I wouldnt say it was superb quality. You get what you pay for and I was satisfied with the purchase.
I want consumers to know that this washer is not worth the money. Mine has been an issue after the first two years of ownership. The washer smells awful even when cleaned weekly as recommended. The seal is moldy even though we always leave the door open. The washer is a maintenance nightmare. It does clean my clothes but I usually have to run the load twice because it stops with an F-20 code. I am just looking for a washer that will clean and last 20 years like my last one. Neither Kenmore nor Sears is my first choice anymore.
It did exactly what I paid for the washer to do. It was able to wash my clothes in a quick and efficient manner. I have absolutely no complaints to report about this washer. I usually have quite a few loads of laundry, as I help raise a good size family. I used to have to wash loads separately. This washer is able to handle much larger loads easier. The washer looked like a typical washer. Absolutely nothing out of the ordinary with this product. I did like the clear door, so I didnt have to open the door to check my wash. I did not have to break the bank for this washer at all. I forget exactly how much I paid for this brand, but I do know I already have it paid off.
This is my second Kenmore washer. The first one I had for 18 years and gave it away, still running well. This new washer I have had now for 7 years, with 2 moves and a family of 6, it’s still running almost like new.
I signed up for ConsumerAffairs to be able to ventilate my frustration about this washing machine. There is nothing wrong with the mechanics of this machine. It turns the front loading drum, like it should, adds water, removes water, etc. But the program-cycles it offers make the whole washing affair completely idiotic. All the cycles are way too short for good cleaning. (None takes longer than 1/2 hour.) Also, there is no cycle without a final spin option. I come from Europe where eco machines turn slow and long, in order to enable good soaking and cleaning. I have to add programs cycles in order to get anything clean with this machine. Meanwhile I cannot put off the spin session, so I end up using a lot of energy to get my wash done with this machine (while ruining my clothes with the spinning). My husband ordered this machine after thoroughly reading consumers reports. Makes no sense to me.
Kenmore gets our clothes clean, offers a Vietnam of cycles, temperatures and I am please. Kids do their own laundry so its easy to use. It stays clean and fresh smelling and cycles are fast. It is definitely reliable. Have had to for a few years and we do several loads a weeks. Have not had any issues with it not operating correctly. We are pleased with its functioning capability. Cant say I have seen a good looking or a bad looking washing machine but this machine is attractive. We have had it for a few years and I honestly do not remember what we paid for it but considering it has worked without issues for this long I would say it was good value.
It uses less water. Has a quiet usage. Its not load. Had never knocked. My clothes get clean with less water and less soap. Its not broken down with excessive usages. Ive only used Kenmore appliances. They rarely break down with excessive usage. Every time Ive needed a Kenmore appliance its always been in good working condition. They are always stylish appliances. Modern and up to date looking. Keeps my laundry room looking modern and up to date. I like the buttons much more than I like knobs. You get what you pay for. Reliability and durability. These machines last for years. Washing machines are major appliances and sometimes its not affordable to just go out and buy one.
It uses less water than a traditional washer and clothes dont sit in dirty water. It always spins out correctly. It has no agitator which is a plus because agitators eat my bras. Ive never had any problem with it. It does exactly what its supposed to do and never has leftover water in the bottom like my last washer. Its simple and sleek. It does not look like the fancy massive washers you see everywhere. Its easy to use and clearly marked. There are many settings to choose from; normal, delicates, bulky (which is perfect for washing my king size comforter), etc. On the inside of the lid, it showed the water levels for each setting which is helpful. I paid only $400! It was on sale when I bought it online from Sears which always saves me tons of money.
I would have to say I love my Kenmore washer as its reliable, dependable and its performance is great. The family gives it a beating but it works great every time for us. Our Kenmore takes quite the abuse from our large family but it cleans reliable every time. I would recommend this brand of washer to any family in need of a durable and consistent washer. Its modern, high efficiency, digital readouts make it an outstanding washer to use. I like that I can see the settings in the dark as Im up all night due to our large family. The reliability and consistency of our Kenmore washer is outstanding. It energy efficiency makes it a great value for our carbon footprint and our wallets too!
After a few weeks our Kenmore Front Loading Automatic Washer Model 796.4027#90# was making very load noise and shaking the laundry room. We tried to adjust everything we could think of. Did not help at all. Then the leaking all over the floor. I drained the hose after every wash. Sometimes it wouldnt leak and then sometimes it would leak everywhere. This is the worst machine we have ever owned. Ive always wanted a front loader, but I was very upset when I bought it. I didnt get the warranty, because Kenmore has been around for so long and a good company. They really messed up on this product. With the amount of money that you have to pay for a front-loading washer, people should not have to deal with all of the problems that this wash comes with. I will never buy a Kenmore product again.
The clothes are washed well and the time isnt too long. It isnt too loud. Theres a lot of space for clothes. The machine is reliable and it washes clothes thoroughly. The sound is loud and clear. The washings leave the clothes damp enough to make the dry cycle quick. The appearance is clean and sleek. Its white but the color makes it look clean. It has a grey stripe and the white makes it get dirty easily. The value of it is satisfying and didnt cost much. It is worth the quality of the machine.
It was fine. I had it when I was a lot younger. Its been a while, but was good when it worked. I might get another one in the future at some point. Good for a big load or a small load. Its important to break up your clothes into lights and darks. Use bleach w/ the whites and use the black colors with other laundry detergent. Good look. I like the feel and overall value of it. It looks like it could achieve a great deal of cleanliness. Id like the price to go down a bit and am willing to buy a used model. Value is important because it shows the overall need of a product. If it performs well and is at a good price, those are the best of both worlds. Very important in the long run if I will buy a product.
Its good services that can provide a good work on all clothes no matter how tough the dirt is on clothes. It always work. Best for me to use around the house. I would not choose another one due to the fact it might not work as well as this washer. It can handle any detergent and it would last for a long time. Its best to use when you have a lot of dirty clothes. It would be a whole lot better to use and then you should be able to upgrade to a newer model.
It did a sufficient job cleaning my clothes and getting dirt out of kids clothes. Would have liked a larger capacity. Worked well with all detergents. Had no problems with my washing machine. It did the job I needed it to do. Was extremely reliable. As expected. Its a normal washing machine. Simple, worked as intended. A washing machine doesnt need to be elegant to do its job. Our landlord purchased it for its value. No complaints from the peanut gallery. Fresh clean clothes.
We were given advice by the local sales agent to purchase this top of the line appliance (Kenmore 800 top loading washer) as it was reliable and one of the very few to require frequent repair. As a long and faithful consumer, we expected the appliance to be of solid construction and give us the type of service we came to associate with the Kenmore reliability. Alas, what a downfall. The product has turned into a constant expense in repairing the never-ending problems. As of this day, I have become wary of any product sold by Sears and Kmart due to our problem. We are retired, living on a fixed income, and cannot afford the extra expense we have burdened by the misrepresentation of the sales agent. Therefore, we may just start shopping elsewhere for any further purchases. I am saddened by the disappointing drop of quality in any of the Sears and/or Kmart consumer products.
Our Kenmore Elite high efficiency top load washer just had a recall and no longer has some of the features we initially paid for. But there are more reasons to avoid this product. There is a rust issue thats now eating into the enamel of the washer at the liquid bleach inlet of our two year old washing machine. Yesterday, based on some other reviews I read while contemplating my two cents, I checked the water temp when the machine was placed on a warm rinse. Guess what? Its cold water. This machine is disappointing and so are the responses given by Sears when you contact them with the concerns. No longer covered by manufacturers warranty. True. Didnt purchase extended warranty. True. But what about product integrity? Product expectation? This washer is disappointing. Ive been a loyal customer for years, but sadly my loyalty has been eroded with inferior products and service.
I have owned some Kenmore washing machines and they are generally pretty good. I have had some trouble on rare occasions over repairs, the service center was reluctant to fix it. Once when I was having trouble, I had to take in my paperwork and practically force them to fix it. They did wind up fixing it, but it was a hassle.
Horrendous customer service. Installation done incorrectly. Salesman only cared about the sale and made guarantees that did not occur. The washing machine is of good quality but is very difficult to clean as parts that are visibly dirty cannot be reached. Would never go Kenmore again.
Satisfied. My clothes are clean and well dried after washing it. Less work. It can load heavy duty - the blankets, sheets, pillow cases. This brand is not expensive but really works well.
Kenmore Dishwasher machine does a great job. Comes from a well respected product line that has been around since my grandmother’s time and has never failed to perform its assigned with efficiency. This product line brings back fond recollections of the machines I used as a child. Handles reasonable loads, simple to use, load & clean. Reliable operation without an overabundance of functions that I neither use or need. Handles all the capacity I need in my day to day life with conservative use of water, soap and power. My main concern with any unit is that it easy to load, and handles the washing with as little trouble as possible. Easy to clean, with a spartan appearance that lends itself to my lifestyle and sensibilities. I especially like the clean lines and simple control features without an attempt at being overly stylish or trendy. Simplicity is my driving concern.
Performance very good... but sometimes make problem if load is full.
I usually do not like to read a long report so I will keep this short and sweet. I have had this washer for nearly 25 years, it has been as reliable as it can be!! I have never had to call for a repair person.
New owner of a Kenmore High Efficiency Top-Loading Washer. Little different than conventional washers so following instructions as always, seems very important. Our issue is that our clothes come out VERY wrinkled. This possibly wouldnt be a problem but my wife hangs our clothes outside on a clothesline. Therefore she has to iron everything. Being under the 30-day warranty a service tech is coming out to determine whether there is a problem with the washer or a correction can be made in doing our laundry which we hope happens. At this point, Im not entirely certain I want a tech determining what course of action needs to be taken. Sticking with the washer or replacing it which is a warranty option.Updated on 03/06/2015Called Sears within 30 days of purchase to address extremely wrinkled clothing and annoyingly loud machine. Part was ordered and replaced but the tech wasnt interested in seeing a video of our machine bouncing in place even though he checked it for balance. Distressing seeing as how the tech has the authority on the next steps taken as to replacing this brand new machine. This is a purchase I deeply regret!
It is adjustable for cold to hot water, fabric settings, large capacity for clothes, and works very well in all situations. I love the way it works and would recommend it to everyone. Kenmore is a great brand and things work the way they should, no problems so far. I can count on Kenmore washers to do the best job for my clothes and I do not need a more expensive brand. The Kenmore washer is very modern model and cleans up very well, has a color that matches any decor you have in mind and looks good too. I just love it. The Kenmore model value is great price, good for heavy and light loads of laundry. You cannot get a better value than this machine. It works great.
I bought this washer in 2005 at a Sears outlet store. Now keep in mind I live alone so I dont do a lot of laundry, much below the average family, yet here I am 10 years later and somehow this thing is now not cycling through a wash load. Way to go Kenmore -- 10 years, thats it. Now I got to pay for a repair or buy ANOTHER one. Before I had this wash I had an old Kenmore washer that was 25 YEARS OLD and not one issue. I can tell you this, never again will I buy your crap. This is disgraceful and you can bet I will also pass my displeasure with Kenmore on social media every chance I get.
This Kenmore Elite Top Loader Washer 29002000 is the most I have ever spent on a washer & is the only one that I have ever owned with so many problems! Takes an 1 1/2 hrs to wash on heavy duty cycle. Will not get the clothes clean on the normal cycle - rust around bleach fill & door hinges. Constantly running water & have to start over with spin & drain to finish. Always goes out of balance - tangles & twist clothes. The detergent, fabric softener, & bleach all fill full of water at end of cycle. Have never wasted this much time babysitting a washer that costs so much! Very disappointed in Kenmore.
Quality product that performed well. No issues that I can complain about. I washed many clothes and then dried many clothes. I then wore them and looked amazing. People would stop me on the street and beg to hear the secret of my look. I would whisper Kenmore then run away.
It was a very good washer that worked great for years without needing to get fixed. Its one of the best washers I have came across so far. It was a very reliable washer, no glitches, no repairs needed and worked for years. I consider it one of the most reliable of washing machines. I suppose it looked nice. It looked like most washing machines. Shiny white with white and grey buttons, the basic setting labeling. It was a nice basic looking washing machine. I think it was a very good value due to the lifespan of the washer, the quality of it, the lack of malfunctions. Its a great value for a washing machine.
Its a very good washer. Very strong and well made. I really like it. Its been a very good one made strong and to last. Id buy another if I needed to. Great service. Its long lasting and does a great job on washing your laundry. It was made by a good company and has last me a while now. Id buy the same brand if I needed to. Very stylish, fits in with my home decor, just the perfect color and design. They make their product nice and appealing. I love the way they make them. Very good value, not real expensive. Its a good price for something that does a great job. I would suggest everyone give them a try. I think I got a fair deal on mine.
Dont overload and use powdered detergent to keep the smells down. A good basic washer that got me through the births of both of my kids. Now my baby is about to graduate from college so that washer is long gone but I have fond memories. It was reliable. Put the clothes in and the detergent and about an hour later, clean clothes came out and I liked the fact that the water would start filling the tub with the lid open so pre-treating was easier. Rather simple and to the point. No flash or extra cycles that never get used, just the basic wash options like what people use on a daily basis. Since its rather basic, the price reflected that and it was very affordable. And since it was a Kenmore, it was a good purchase.
We bought the Kenmore Elite 29272, the day after Thanksgiving in 2010. We are now on the second main control board in ten months. Both times, the part has been back ordered and Sears has called the day before our appointment to reschedule. In both cases, they put the situation in our hands to track the part and then call them once we have the part in hand to not waste their time. What about our time? Each occurrence has lasted a month. This means the washer has only been in use 8 of the 10 months we have had it. I think they were trying to draw out the time so it falls out of warranty. The customer service department term used loosely is extremely rude. This is an outsourcing issue as there is no culpability with the product or support. The customer service person had the gall to indicate that if we feel that strongly about how bad the product is, to write the CEO. This is actually not a bad idea, though it will be intercepted long before reaching the intended source. Once the warranty fails, we are tempted to use the National Tire & Battery plan with Sears. Anyone that has seen the commercial, understands to throw the product through the plate glass window. Then, we will get a new washer that will not be a Kenmore (actually, a re-branded LG). Koreans.
I bought this Kenmore high efficiency washer 4 years ago, in 2017. I noticed clothes did not get as clean as with my old washer (which took 15 years before replacement was needed). There were other conveniences that were missing; for example, there was no way just to spin wet clothes, as there were with other washers. The washer needed frequent attention to adjust off balance loads. Finally, 2 months ago (May 2021), the washer refused to turn on. A service technician came 6/10 and said we needed a new board, which he ordered. The part has been on backorder since then. My only communication with Sears/Kenmore is when I call them. Their customer service reps politely tell me that the part is still on backorder, and they will escalate my request. I still have no working washer, and a service agreement which is not being honored. My advice is to consider another brand of washer.
I have had a Kenmore washer and Dryer for a long time. I would recommend it because it seems to last longer than any other brand that I have had you. May pay a little more for it but you will own it for a lot longer than the other brands I have tried. Kenmore is a well-made brand.
It handles large loads really well. I can put a ton of clothes in it without worry. Ive never had an unbalanced load. I like that I can wash many heavy or big blankets in one wash. It super quiet. If I forget to put something in I can throw it in after its already started without worry. The temperature setting are reliable. Its also durable and quiet, no vibration or rattling problems. I get compliments on its appearance all the time. I love the see through top. You can actually see your clothes being washed. Its really easy to keep clean and the settings and handles are easy to read. Its expensive but worth every penny. The warranty is a great stress reliever... even though Ive never had to use it. Ive had it for 2 years and it looks and works just like I bought yesterday. Its worth the money.
My washer is good and plenty big for large loads. The only thing I dont like is sometimes the fabric softener clogs up and you have to wash it out. Ive had this model for years and I dont think it ever broke. I wash at least 3 loads every week and it does a good job of washing. I would buy Sears again for its reliability. I like this model because the inside is so large for big loads and the enamel is still looking good. It is big but still fits in a small laundry space. This is a good machine that lasts through many wash loads and it definitely is worth its value.
The performance was fine. I never had any problems with the washer and I thought it did a fine job. We never had to have it serviced. We finally sold it when we moved, but overall it was a good washer. The washer was reliable. We had no issues with it for the 6 years we had it. No service was ever necessary. It was a little bit loud at the end but it still worked great. No complaints about the reliability of the washer. It was a very standard washer. It was not flashy or amazing to look at, but it got the job done. The washer was white with no other colors. Pretty bland but again do you really need a washer to look extremely fancy?? I dont think so. Since the washer was so reliable and lasted so long, I feel like I got my moneys worth. I dont know how it compares to other washers but I think it was worth the money I paid. Definitely went through a lot of laundry!
Our Kenmore washer, purchased in 2006, stopped working recently. Error code F22 appeared on the front panel which is a door latch failure. I ordered another latch and installed it myself. When I attempted to operate the washer the latch immediately failed again and gave the F22 code. I then called Sears appliance repair. When they finally showed up, the technician put a new latch assembly in and it too immediately failed. He said the controller was sending a continuous latch signal which destroys the latch and that I would need a new controller and latch. We had purchased an extended warranty for $319.00 which would cover up to $500.00 in repairs but the price he quoted went beyond that by $287.00. I saw no other choice so I authorized the repair. After the technician left, I looked on the Sears parts website to compare the part prices he had quoted us and found that the repair guys price was double the price Sears quoted. I called the technician to ask him why and he said he had no control over pricing and that I would have to complain to Sears. The Sears rep told me that the repair people get their parts from a different source. I told him there was no way I was going to pay double and asked for a refund on the parts and cancelled the warranty. I eventually received my two refunds. As of this writing, I still have no functional washing machine.
This washer consistently performed as expected or above expectations. Clothing always came out smelling clean and feeling fresh when used according to manufacturers standards. Multiple settings made it easy to switch between sheets and blankets to a delicate setting or a normal load. When laundry was done according to a normal schedule, clothing needed to be washed would fit all items needed. Overloading could lead to clothing not feeling as clean or fresh as they should be. Definitely be aware of not overloading. Match setting of washer to type and/or amount that you are loading to best meet the needs of your expectations for the clothing. Sleek appearance. Average fit in laundry room- did not in anyway feel larger or more bulky than any other washer used in the past. Set up made easy to load and remove clothing and other articles. The value of this product is definitely there. Great, reliable brand and household name for years. Compared to other brands, matches or exceeds in the value to get when you purchase this product.
We purchased the 500 series washer a little over 2 years ago, and have regretted it ever since. If I do anything bigger than a half load it becomes unbalanced and sounds like a helicopter landing in my house. When you pause to rebalance it takes a full ten minutes for the lid to open. I’ll never buy a Kenmore again...
The Kenmore washer is very reliable, cleans really well and the machine is very powerful yet quiet at the same time. The value of the Kenmore washer is very good when you consider the great warranty that this washer has and you get a lot for your hard earned money. Also, my Kenmore washer is a beautiful white design, the controls are great looking and the directions on using the washer are very easy and clear to understand. I recommend this Kenmore washer to anyone who wants a stylish and beautiful washer in their home or apartment.
We purchased the Kenmore water/energy efficient washer and we wash on either room temperature or warm water. Laundry most of the time come out not as expected with unclean chocolate stains as an example. Also, we were told by Kenmore that we have to run the express cycle (Very hot water) with vinegar in the detergent pocket to remove residual detergent and to improve the washer ability to clean even normal day to day stains. We are not happy with our purchase. Another aspect that made us unhappy is the annual PM included in a 5 year warranty (paid extra) that often the subcontractor is sending washer-untrained technicians to perform the PM.
Kenmore washer would not turn on. I waited 4 days for a service tech. He ordered a part that took approximately 3 weeks to get. Another service tech showed up 4 days after the part was delivered to my house. He installed the part, we did a load of laundry and the washer flooded two rooms of my basement. I called Kenmore to tell them the issue and they told me they can send out somebody 6 days from now. They also connected me with a claims department that said they cant look at my house for 2 days. Now, I have no washer and my wife and I will spend 3 days cleaning our basement. These were all warranty work. I was offered a 1-year service agreement for my inconvenience.
The washer works very well. Its energy efficient & gets your clothes very clean. Uses less water but still gives you a good clean. It is very quiet as well which I like. It is not reliable. I have had to have multiple repairs in the 2 1/2 years that I had it. The repairs took multiple services to even find the problem. I also had to get the panel repaired because of a shortage. It look very cute. It has a glass window so it look very modern and new age. It has a large look but it fits well in my wash room. I like the white finish on it. The value of the washer is good as long as I can get it to work. I had a warranty so it paid for the repairs but the quality is not very dependable so it takes the value down.
It cleans my clothes amazingly and never makes weird noises. I never had to have it repaired.. As long as this washer is working it will be the one I have and I will always use Kenmore. Theyre absolutely fantastic. Its a nice style washer, very convenient and clean and proper looking. I value this washer so much. Its such a amazing piece of machinery. Hands down the best washer I could ask for.
Where can I sign up for a class action lawsuit. I dont want a $50 gift certificate, I want Kenmore to replace the washing machine (Series 700 washer) with something that works as advertised. Save me some water? How about cleaning my clothing properly??? Ive had this machine for 1 year and 10 months and I am FED UP with this. Kenmore fix your problem or LOSE A CUSTOMER FOREVER!!!
Ive had the Kenmore Elite Oasis Washer for about 5 years. Thought it was a great washer until after 2 years when I kept getting the F1 error code. Had that serviced and did fine for a while, now getting the LD error code (doesnt drain & spin). I have to unplug it and hit POWER... DRAIN & SPIN... START just about every load of wash. Getting serviced tomorrow. Unfortunately extended warranty wasnt purchased.
We bought a Kenmore Series 600 Triple Action Technology High Efficiency washing machine to replace a tiny, old machine left by previous owners. I wish we had kept theirs. This machine is the worst piece of machinery Ive ever owned! It has shredded two sweaters, doesnt get clothes wet, let alone clean and is a complete waste of my time. Even using the Deep Fill option doesnt guarantee your clothes will all get wet. Your clothes will come out of the washer tied in knots and stretched. There is an option of two rinses, that you would think would at least get your clothes wet, but, alas, it does not. So I have to think the high efficiency adjective was a complete lie. Using more water, extra water, having to wash things two and three times doesnt seem very efficient to me. The engineers who designed this washing machine should be fired. Seriously...go to a garage sale and buy someones grandmas old Maytag or even go find a stream and a rock and you will be much better off than buying this machine.
Kenmore 3.8 cu. ft. Top-Load High-Efficiency Washer - This washer is a piece of junk! 2 months after the warranty expires, the washers starts malfunctioning. When it completes a load of wash and the complete light is on and the lid is unlocked, it takes about 3 minutes before it jumps back to the sensing light and tries to start washing a new load all by itself! It seems to wash clothes and spin out fine. But if youre not paying attention its going to wash your clothes all over again! I will never ever buy a Kenmore washer again. Their quality and dependability has become non-existent.
The washer was not the best that I have ever used. It did not clean cups or bowls well and after a year it started leaking. I was satisfied until the leaks started. Then I was very unhappy. I live in a three person household and it was fine. I would not recommend this for a big family. Small households the size is fine though. It was kind of ugly but then again so was my whole kitchen. It got dirty easily and was terrible display. I kind of hated it a lot. The washer was overpriced, undersized, and ugly as sin.
It does not take long to clean what I need to clean. It does not make a lot of noise and is easy to use. I love it. When I bought I was very excited and I most dependently would not buy another washer for a good, good twenty years. It is very, very reliable. I can really count on it to wash every item correctly and in a timely manner every single time I use it. I would never use any brand but this one. It is very, very cute and I love it in my kitchen. It is just so pretty and I really love it. Everyone should buy this washer. It is perfect or anybody house. Washers are really pricey any way so the price I payed was amazing. I even got sweet discount. You really get a lot for your money. You will love it.
Semi-fast could be faster. Wish it could hold a little more. Overall its not a bad washer. Kenmore is a name you can trust and lasts a long time. I wash about 6 loads a day so its not a bad washer! I wish it didnt take me all day to do it. Its a kenmore and not the best one. Once its time to get a new one I will get a more efficient washer. Its pretty plain, white washer with a white tub so the appearance isnt that pretty lol. But overall its nice I guess. We will see the next Kenmores once I am ready for a new one. For the price and how much I wash its value is great and its worth it. I havent had any issues with it. The loads just take a little longer than I would like. When I am in for a new one I will get a better one.
My clothes come out clean and the stains are removed. Its easy to use and is fairly quiet. The knobs come off on the unit and sometimes I need to use pliers to turn the handle. Im pleased with how reliable it is. It just happened to be a problem with the handles and knobs that fall off. Its not overused as there are only two people in this house. Its very stylish as washers go. Equally distributed buttons and knobby. Its easy to keep clean and is appealing. Its very quiet and seems to make very little movement. The value of a washing machine is the way it cleans the clothing. It seems that this units such as this have a great value because they seem to work very well.
It did the job. It agitated properly and got my clothes clean. Really spun them and got the excess water out to make drying them easier. Very reliable and seems like it is really well made. I love get more products. It has enough space capacity to meet my laundry needs of a family of six. Four children under the age of 11 means lots of grass stains and dirty clothes. Looks sleek but also looks just like a lot of other washing machines out there. I like the style is simple and isnt a sight for sore eyes. I feel you get what you pay for when it comes to home appliances. This was a bit more expensive but definitely worth it and the warranty it came with.
The washer does the job well and gets clothes clean but I wish that I had a larger washer. I have a large family and the load size is fairly large most of the time, so I very frequently have to do multiple loads of laundry to get all of it done. But other than the size of the washer capacity, I am very pleased with it. It is just the ordinary plain, white washer. Nothing in particular that is fancy or special about it. It also is in a laundry room, so it isnt out in the open where it is always seen by others. But for the job it does, it was a great bargain and has been well worth the money that was spent for it. It was a very reasonable price because I chose just a basic model.
I purchased the Kenmore Elite top load washer in October 2013. Yes, a little late to complain now but I just finally bought another new washer and it made me think to do a review. DO NOT purchase this washer. Since the day we bought it, it has maybe been in balance no more than 10 times! It usually takes 2 hrs to wash a load. It has become the norm for us to switch it to drain and spin after fixing the out of balance 3 or 4 times per load. This is NOT an exaggeration. We tried everything possible to figure out why. We checked the level with a leveler. We did small loads. We did medium loads. And we did large loads. NOTHING made a difference. Biggest waste of money I have ever spent on an appliance. We cant even sell it cheap to someone because they would be knocking at our door after only 2 loads. Please check others reviews with the same issue before thinking of purchasing this washer.
Sensors decide amounts of water and lots of settings even for delicate things like comforters. Dryer and washing machine are very quiet. Both are energy efficient.
Never a problem with this machine. Does the job as expected. Not the fanciest, but gets the job done without the superfluous and expensive bells and whistles. Reliable machine for normal laundry loads. Never scorches. Gets clothes completely dry in a reasonable amount of time. Has settings for regular, permanent press and delicate. It is not ultra stylish, but then you dont have to pay a designer appliance price. A reliable, competent machine that gets the job done right. It is easy to operate and has a clean, modern appearance. This machine is a good value for the money.
The performance was awesome. It cleaned my clothes really well. It wasnt fancy which made it extremely easy for me to use and to teach my young son how to wash clothes. It was extremely reliable. I never had any issues with it ever. I was able to wash big loads which is a plus for me because I am so busy. The appearance was basic. I prefer the old style appliances compared to the newer ones that are hard to figure out. It was very easy to clean the inside and outside. It is not very pricey and gets the job done easily. It is worth every penny. I would recommend it to anyone who has a tight budget and wants a great product.
Where I pour in the bleach and under the top lip of washing machine is rusting! I run my washer through cleaning cycling but these areas are bad and I feel like it should not be doing this, especially so soon! I would figure they would make it more adaptable for the bleach area! We bought our washer from Sears in Statesboro, GA!
Both worked very well for the first few years but the washer had problems toward the end in getting drained all the way. Had to replace some parts. Units worked good til the end and then they became so unreliable and slow that we ended up replacing them both and are happier now. Dont know why or how but they went bad. Appearance was fine. Dont expect that there is a whole lot of room there to change color and style is changing every day so stay informed and Im so sure you got it. Never got my moneys worth out of any washer. Dryers usually last but these seemed to run faster, harder and wear out quickly. I dont think I will buy again.
It is very effective and powerful. It also is fairly quiet. I absolutely would recommend it! This washer is fantastic! It keeps the clothes clean. It is very reliable because with one wash your clothes come out fresh. The washer itself is great in appearance because it looks very modern. It does not look outdated or out of place. It is it necessarily fancy but it looks nice. It does not stick out like a sore thumb. Washers can be pretty expensive. When it comes to price it is true what they say you get what you pay for. In this case you will not be disappointed. It is absolutely worth the value! It will get your clothes cleaned the first time. In the long run that saves you more money.
I have just spent over 4 hours trying to wash bedding. A new record. I have been told by customer service that I must choose the correct setting for my laundry, cant just use normal. OK, then I am washing bedding, so I choose bedding. I was washing 2 twin sheets and a twin quilt. For some reason, my washer likes to fill with water, spin a little, drain, spin, then fill with water again. For over 4 hours, until I wrung the bedding out and removed it, dripping from the washer. Sometimes the washer is fine, takes a long time compared to other washers I have had, but I can have a load completed in a little over an hour. But other times, it goes into this fill, drain, spin thing for quite some time. The repairman who came out the last time I called told me to unplug the washer and plug it in again, it gets confused sometimes. He couldnt find anything wrong with the washer. So is this normal? Is this the way of washers these days? Sometimes I can do a couple of loads in an evening, sometimes not. Do I choose the wrong settings? Is bedding heavy duty and not really bedding? Or is it the brand?
The washer did a good job washing and cleaning clothes. It was relatively quiet and I was pleased with its performance. I would recommend this washer to anyone looking to buy a new washing machine. The washing machine had a large enough tub to fit a good size load of laundry. It filled with enough water to clean well and I was very satisfied with my clean clothes. I would recommend this washer to anyone looking to purchase a new washer. I was satisfied with the size of my washer. It fit nicely in the space in my laundry room. Its overall look was nice with easily understood controls. I purchased my washer for a reasonable price and very competitive with other washers on the market. I checked many prices while looking for a washer and was pleased with the price and my purchase.
I had a Kenmore which had never have my load cleaned up after even double washing cycle. The model is 402.49032011.
I did my research before purchasing this set and pretty much is what the other reviews said it was. The tub in the washer is super big. I was able to wash a king size comforter in it with no problem. I had to take the time to read the booklet to find out what the buttons are for but it pretty easy to use. It looks good and was a great value, Im glad I bought this set. We bought this washer after our Maytag broke just 18 months after purchase, and a week behind on laundry I just wanted a washer. I figured this was the better value for the money versus the 3.6-cu ft Whirlpool, after reading the reviews maybe not. I dont mind the noise while going through the cycle as it is very comparable to our Maytag, same with cycle time. It is in a closet on our second floor and with the doors shut it did not bother us across the hall or downstairs underneath it. My complaint is that they say it can fit 3 baskets full of laundry and while that is true the spinning value at 660 was a major design error. The larger or heavy the load the more the clothes lack getting water out at the end, that will require a drain and spin cycle. Smaller loads come out as expected when the wash is complete and dry in average time. We plan to keep the washer as I am not usually a week behind in laundry and needing to do extra large loads, and I was pleased with the smaller load I did do. For people who are looking at this for the size of the wash bin and extra large loads are normal I would not recommend this, but for just us two it works fine. Kenmore, in the Whirlpool family, are durable, reliable and high-quality appliances with a long-standing history of satisfied customers. Easily and economically repaired if theres ever an issue, theyre an excellent value for the money. The Kenmores seem to last forever. If you do have a problem at some point, Sears has a great parts and service department.
This washer has had a much larger workload than I intended when I bought it 2 1/2 years ago (7 adults), and it is still as quiet and reliable as the day I hooked it up. And with all the setting levels available, it has always done an outstanding job of actually getting our construction-worker clothes clean as new. Has done an average of eleven loads a week for 2 1/2 years and still runs and cleans like new: even for the three of us construction workers, two car mechanics, and two ladies in the house. Its appearance is modern, but without looking like an airliner cockpit with all those confusing lights and controls that youll never use. After 2 1/2 years of washing for seven adults without a single breakdown, it still performs like new. I think weve already got our moneys worth out of it.
Purchased top load washing machine (Kenmore Elite Washing Machine) with glass top lid Oct 30, 2018. Exploded April 6... then again one week after it was fixed... April 25... Still waiting on a replacement 2 weeks later. Sears warranty tell us they never heard of this, judging by item being back ordered and multiple other reviews I’ve read THIS IS A PROBLEM!!! BUYER BEWARE! MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE!!!
I need more than 8 inches of water & that is the deep fill. Sheets often are partly dry, because they dont get under the water. I have the 600s washer. Thought I could do larger loads. Sorry folks you cant. No water saver here, a second rinse is always necessary & sometimes a third. You guessed it. No water!
I bought a Kenmore Elite Washer from Sears about 5 years ago. I have had it repaired twice and it never cleans my clothes. It has more error messages than anything I have ever seen. It locks, puts error F11 and you cannot get your clothes out of the washer, cannot open the door does not matter if you unplug it or not. Then another error, then another. It is impossible to do laundry. I HATE THIS WASHER. I WOULD NOT BUY A THING FROM SEARS. They lie and tell you they will stand by a product but they do not. They want another 600.00 to walk in the door to fix the washer. I might as well buy a new one. ONE THAT WORKS.
The Washer works really great. Its fast, no noise, and works great. I would really recommend it to everyone. Its worth all the money. No other machine could work great like this. The reliability is really, really good, you have no idea. Its really great, probably the best I have ever had to be honest. The plain white color isnt really my thing. I would probably like it to be more colors option so it could fit my taste a little bit more. Best deal you could have ever. Dont miss out like at all. If you want to live the best life, then buy the best product you could find, and this is one of them.
