Thermador Cooktop & Custom Insert Advice
I am building a new kitchen and decided to go with the Thermador Mastepiece collection. .
However, we are struggling to pair a Thermador vent with our new cooktop.
Thermador's guide says the 36'' Custom Insert with 300CFM is the "perfect fit" for the cooktop for below. However, when you research CFM and all the calculations on the Internet. it seems underpowered?.
Thermador says it is fine for normal cooking, but offers a 600CFM version. If I do 600CFM local code involves expensive changes to the HVAC and install, which will cost almost $4000. .
Anybody have experience with this cooktop and the 300CFM hood? Here is all the items referenced:.
My Cooktop: SGSXP365TS Gas Cooktop | THERMADOR US.
300CFM Hood 36'' Hood (not 32'' the site has an error): VCI3B36ZS Custom insert | THERMADOR US .
Pairing Guide Showing 300CFM Insert of 600CFM Insert is compatible with the cooktop:.
MCDOC03053146_thermador-ventilation-pairing-guide-2019.pdf (bsh-group.com) .
However, their guide contradicts most recommendations you find on the internet.
Thank you for the help!.
