Responsive, conscientious service. I highly recommend Portable Rental Solutions.
We have the 700 model. I have a small room that doesn't have air condition. I ordered this and it works perfect. I set it in the hallway and it pulls the air condition from the living room to the small room. Add ice and it cools even better. It rolls very well on the casters so moving it is no problem. My only complaint is that it is big but lightweight. It is also quiet. About the sound of a regular fan running.
Real numbers here folks, this unit cools my boat storage 15' x 25' so I can work in there. Houston Texas, thermometer on car and phone shows 100, rip the door open on the storage unit, thermometer in there says 106. Fire up the AC 700 cfm, and 30-45 min later, Outside 100, in shop 94, laser shows the 700 to be throwing out 84 degree air. I know a bunch of Yankees just had a heat stroke, but I think it is great for Houston....
A picture paints a thousand words. As you can see it was almost 108 degrees outside and 79 degrees inside my house. I have it by my sliding door as you can see. PROS: 1. It is very well built and does not look cheap. 2. The swinging vents distributes the air around. 3. The fan blows very strong and isn't noisy. 4. You can set the timer to turn it off. 5. You can use the remote control. 6. Add ice if you need more cooling. 7. It can lower temperatures significantly depending on the relative humidity of the air going into the cooler. The air going in is dry and hot. The air going out is cool and humid. The humidity will build up after only a short time and make the temperature feel hotter. So you will need to have an exhaust fan to blow out the humid air so you get the cooling effect without the high humidity. I use a Bionaire window fan blowing outward on low fan. As you can see the humidity in my house is a steady 50%.
I called this place a couple weeks ago looking for cooling options for our building for an event. Our air conditioning units weren't installed and we had to cool a 4,800 square foot space for a music night that we were having at our club. The gentleman on the phone was very knowledgeable and very helpful. I know nothing about cooling spaces except for how to turn an air conditioning unit on. He gave me the best options and combination of options and all the specifics on the units. I learned more than I probably will ever need to know about cooling large spaces but, I appreciate the knowledge! We were able to get our air conditioning crew to rig up our units in the space so we didn't end up needing to rent from them but, I have no doubt the rental would have gone off without a hitch. I still wanted to give them koodos for the thorough information and honest answers! They really went out of their way to help!
