I purchased the black one. It looks great and works amazingly well. Honestly, for the price, it's far better than I anticipated or expected. It really is commercial grade as described. Initial setup is possible with one person but probably easier with two. Instructions are easy to follow. The base holds WAY more sand, water than The laws of physics would seem to allow. This thing lights first time every time and the heat radiates across my entire patio area.

Worked great and kicks out plenty of heat even on the lower setting. Used it in our screened in porch that has about three feet of clearance from the ceiling and the top of the torch. It was about 40 degrees outside and on the lowest setting it was still enough to keep us warm sitting by it with sweaters, pants, and socks on. Easy to put together despite the directions having not so great pictures to go by, easy to operate, and easy to move. Do keep in mind that if you put it together indoors, the top heat shield, deflector will NOT fit through a standard door, so don't put that on until you're outside!

This stainless steel model costs more but includes an electronic ignition that requires a AAA battery. Also, unlike the less expensive units with painted bodies, this one has a pre weighted bottom and does not need the addition of sand and windshield washer fluid to weight it down. That greatly simplifies the assembly.

Easy to assemble. Seems to be quality metal so hopefully won't see any rust. It throws out a lot of heat and warms you up if you are standing. If you are sitting you don't benefit as much. I cut off 12" of the vertical tube. That helped a lot for those sitting around the heater. I get about 4 hours of use from a 16lb tank. Wish they would fill the propane tanks to 20lbs like they used to. Fairly easy to wheel around.

Too tall for our Pergola no more! When I first put this thing together I didn't realize just how tall it was. Too tall in fact for our large pergola by the lake. It fit underneath but I could have run the risk of a fire if I used it underneath the wooden pergola. So I went ahead and took out the second tube, used brackets to attach the top burner unit to the bottom tube and presto, it is now the perfect size (no more than 6' tall) to use underneath the pergola. It even works better when it is not as tall. Still very tall for any kid to reach and get hurt but lower enough to put out a tremendous amount of heat to all around 9 feet of it. I've posted pics so that if you are having the same problem you can do this as well, it only takes a couple of screws, some nuts and four bolts with washers, a drill and you're on your way. Of course you will need four brackets to make it work. Just look at what I had in my tool box and used as brackets!! This thing is truly awesome and at this height, putting out 46,000 BTUs you can't beat it! You will pay a lot more or the same for a 10,000 BTU table top one if you want this thing underneath a roof so why bother. Just follow the pictures I attached and enjoy!!
