Any idea what would cause this noise?
Posted On: May 29, 2023

I've had this washer for about 8 months.

Bought it brand new from Lowe's.

It's been making this noise not sure if it's something to be worried about or something very minor.

It only makes the noise when it's spinning counter clockwise.

It's still under warranty should I try to get it fixed?

Question from user Impressive-Ad-2363 at Appliances at reddit.

Answer:

If your washer is still under warranty and you're experiencing a noise issue when it's spinning counter clockwise, it's generally a good idea to reach out to the manufacturer or the retailer from where you purchased it for assistance. Since the washer is relatively new, it's possible that the noise could be indicative of a minor issue that can be easily resolved. However, to ensure the longevity and proper functioning of your appliance, it's best to have it checked by a professional.

Here's what you can do:

  1. Consult the manual: Review the user manual that came with the washer to see if there are any troubleshooting steps or recommendations for addressing noise issues. This may help you identify any simple fixes or adjustments you can try.

  2. Contact the retailer: Reach out to Lowe's, where you purchased the washer, and explain the noise issue you're experiencing. They may be able to guide you through some troubleshooting steps or direct you to the manufacturer's customer service.

  3. Contact the manufacturer: Contact the customer service department of the washer's manufacturer directly. Provide them with the necessary details, including the model number, purchase date, and a description of the noise issue. They will likely be able to offer guidance on what steps to take next.

  4. Schedule a service appointment: If the retailer or manufacturer determines that the issue requires professional attention, they will likely arrange for a technician to inspect and repair the washer. Since your washer is still under warranty, the cost of repairs should be covered.

Remember, it's always better to address potential issues while your appliance is still under warranty, as this can save you from any future expenses and ensure the proper functioning of your washer.
