ASKO is inspired by Scandinavia. Part of this inspiration comes from their heritage, the landscapes and conditions we come from, and the region's historical reputation for functional design and long lasting, reliable equipment. they have also inspired by modern Scandinavian values, like caring for the environment: which is why they aim to make all of our appliances as sustainable as possible, both in terms of how they're made and how they work.

My top and bottom racks in my Asko dishwasher are rusting and the pegs are breaking off. It is 7-1/2 years old and was supposed to be a top of the line dishwasher. It will cost $300 to replace the racks! My GE dishwasher in my old house was still there when I sold the house 17 years later, without repairs to the DW. Currently, there is an ad from my local dealer offering an $849 Bosch dishwasher for $499. Why would I ever replace the Asko racks when I can get the new Bosch? Why would I even consider buying or recommending an Asko to anyone if Asko doesnt stand behind their product? What is this company thinking? As a business owner, I understand the importance of customer satisfaction and word of mouth advertising.

Terrible experience with Asko D5233. So disappointed in this dishwasher. We purchased it due to salesperson recommendation and a general appreciation for Swedish-made products. Our dishwasher needed multiple repairs within the first year - the only Asko-approved repair company came out and claimed there was nothing wrong, but we could see that there was food left on plates and major spotting. Repair person blamed it on the fact that the hot water took too long to get to the washer. Ridiculous, but we ran the hot water at the sink until it was hot, then ran the dishwasher and we got the same results. Next the repair company suggested we had to first wash the dishes by hand and then put them in the dishwasher for a full cleaning. Complaints to Asko went absolutely nowhere. Asko refused to offer any solution. We spent over $800 on multiple repair visits and essentially gave up. We no longer use the dishwasher except as an overflow dish drainer to get our dishes dry.

Expensive and until now reliable 5 year old Asko W6444 front loading washing machine (purchased Oct. 2012). In May 2017 the gap seal burst out of machine door while machine was on. Contacted Asko to request a technician to come out. I explained what had happened. Person on phone said we know about that problem. He said there is a Youtube video that we can watch explaining how to replace the seal ourselves and that way save a technician coming out. I asked if perhaps the seal had now stretched and might come off again. He said it is a bit of a design fault. We watched the video and couldnt do it. Rang them again. The woman said we would have to pay for a technician to come out. I said Thats unfair because I was told it was a design fault. She repeated that we would have to pay. We needed the machine fixed and so I said Alright, well pay in the first instance but I will take it further. I then contacted Consumer Affairs. They said we shouldnt have to pay if its a design fault. After it was fixed I wrote to Asko saying I wanted a refund for the technician. I received a reply which said the problem was my fault because either I had 1. an unbalanced load (my husband and I were standing next to the machine which sounded normal when suddenly the seal burst through the door). 2. Tried to clean the cabinet or seal area and rubbed it too hard (I hadnt cleaned it recently at all). 3. There was a water leakage because I had not pushed back the detergent dispenser properly (rubbish). She said it was certainly not a manufacturing defect and was a purely cosmetic part that can come off due to just normal wear and tear. She said that we were definitely obliged to pay. She said I am sorry I cannot assist with refunding any costs AT THIS STAGE (my capitals). Does this imply if I continue to argue she might... Pathetic. This problem is obviously VERY common for them to go to the expense and trouble of making a Youtube video on how to fix it yourself. Rubbish response.

We bought an Asko dishwasher 2 years ago and it has failed to wash dishes properly since new. We have been trying to seek a resolution for this problem for years and have been fobbed off with a list of reasons for why the problems exist. On the first callout, the technician altered the water level. They have said that Asko deliberately set water levels low so Asko can get a better water efficiency rating. We have been told that Asko is not made for Australian conditions, they have suggested that we use too little or too much powder, there may be blockages or twists in hoses. Apparently they found fault in the motherboard which was changed, now they say it is the heating module. NONE of these fixes have solved the problem and the service department are difficult to get hold of and one was actually rude. At this point, we would definitely not recommend buying an Asko dishwasher.

W6221 - Bought the washer in 12/2001 for the internal heater and temp settings. In 5/2007 it stopped working, did not spin. Ended up replaced, level switch Board Control and Motor for a cost of $653.00. 2/2015 it stopped working on every cycle. Push the start button and only hear a click, nothing else happens except the door lock releases when pushed. This model does not have a led display so no error codes are displayed.

I bought the Asko 3251 model dishwasher when I had my house built. Ive had to make more service calls on it than the $200 Kenmore dishwasher in my very first home. There have been constant problems with water not draining, water leaking under the machine, main board failure. The latest problem is the need to replace the diverter value. When I called Asko to complain about the large number of problems, they simply acted as if it wasnt their problem. No offer to help in any way.

I bought what I thought was supposed to be a top of the line dishwasher. It cleans sometimes. The glasses come out dirtier than they went in. Food sticks on the dishes, etc. Asko does not care about the client. The water is not hot enough. The pipe is the problem, they always find a reason to blame the client instead of the product. I had a 15 year old dishwasher and then a Maytag that lasted many years without a problem. I will never buy another Asko item.

The asko appliances are inherited from the rich guy we bought the house from. We thought we were very lucky to get a house full of high end stuff but in all honest the performance is not anything special at all. If that were the only problem and the green story is where they hung their hat. Maybe we would be fans but the dishwasher does not do a good job of cleaning compared with other dishwashers I have had in my life that are more typical brands and the main problem is that when they are serviced the parts take forever to be received. The fix doesnt last very long and now at 8 years old the parts have been discontinued and are no longer available. The company was bought out by sub zero/wolf parent who thinks high end appliances are a good thing but not a good enough thing to keep going with parts. I will never again buy anything with the name asko, sub zero or wolf on it. Their idea of customer service is telling you politely to stick it in your ear.

After only two years of minimal use, our Asko dishwasher is no longer functional. It has stopped pumping water. Ive learned that it is a common problem that the pump stops working. It was supposed to be an expensive, high-end machine and we paid a great deal for what we thought was a well-made dishwasher. In comparison, we have previously purchased a Bosch dishwasher for the same price and after 15 years, it is still working perfectly.

We purchased our first Asko dishwasher 10 years ago. We burned out 2 circuit boards and a pump motor. It also leaked and wrecked the wood flooring in front of unit. We called dealer, they offered $100 toward a new one. We called Roth our area distributor. They offered 500 off a new one, which is not half but thought better than wrecking our new floor. So now we are at 6 years on second washer. We had a service tech out and this one has $850 worth of work needed. It leaked and took out pump motor and main circuit board again. It is very disappointing. 1150 for 2 dishwashers not to last more than 5 years each.

Some time later the surrounds around the dials showed rust. Sent photos to Asko who said it was from using harsh abrasives, which was rubbish. This month, after very little use over the 7 years (in fact, wasnt used much at all) it began leaking from the front bottom corner. Repairman said the seam was split and was unrepairable. We were talked into buying an Asko dishwasher by the salesman at the Good Guys. NEVER AGAIN!! Despite being one of the dearest I’ve had nothing but trouble with it. First the dishes were coming out as dirty as they went in, and used to have to put rinse aid in every few days. Technician came and fiddled around. Apparently I have to wash the dishes before they go in - my mistake I thought this was the job of the machine. Then instead of putting the tablet in the tablet compartment, this machine seems to work better when you throw the tablet straight into the machine. Anyway. Told to use only the ‘hygiene’ setting which I have been doing and now seems to work better. Still doesn’t dry plastic but hey… It’s cleaning at least. Now, the dishwasher does not turn on at all. On the phone with ‘service’ department - in POSITION 20!!!! Will never again touch an Asko product with a 20 foot pole!!!!

Asko dishwasher model D3250 - I have read the poor reviews for the Asko dishwasher and I am so empathetic, but my experience is totally different. I loved the Asko washer and dryer my sister owned, so when we purchased a 2 year old home (1999), we upgraded all of the appliances. We chose Asko for the washer, dryer and dishwasher. We did not have experienced service in the Ann Arbor MI area, so this was frustrating for the problems encountered with the washer, dryer. The belt on the dryer needed replacing once - still works.

We replaced our old ~10 yr dishwasher because some rust was beginning in it, with a new ~1000 dollar Asko dishwasher... if I could get the old dishwasher back, I would. The Asko dishwasher will probably rank high in all categories except for one, it does not wash the dishes very good. Yes, it is quiet; yes it uses less water; but it does not clean your dishes very well * AND * it takes a LONG time doing a bad dish washing job too (2.5 to 3.5 hours). Unless you are the type that pre-washes your dishes good before you put them in the dishwasher, then this dishwasher is not for you.

We purchased an Asko dishwasher in August 2009, thinking that we had a 3-year warranty. Today, March 2012, the dishwasher is in need of repair for standing water, and when I called for company service, they told me that my unit is not under warranty. The company requires that you register your appliance within 90 days in order to receive the third year of coverage. Because I did not register within the 90-day period, I will have to pay for a service call. The supervisor at customer service said that this is their policy and there was nothing she can do about it. I would like to know-- why does this policy exist? The warranty should be determined by the purchase date and not on an arbitrary designation based on sending in a postcard. Secondly, many customers, including my self, are resistant to sending their information to a company when there is no apparent need for it. I perceive this 90-day registration to be an excuse to collect marketing information, and I resent that Asko is putting this policy above the principle of taking care of their customers.

It does not clean dishes/glasses on top or bottom racks... silverware is spotty. What makes it worse, was Asko customer service. It died 2 weeks after it ran out of warranty. It was back and forth between ACCC and Asko for 6 weeks. I was without a washing machine for the long before they repaired it under warranty. 1 year after that, it died again for a different reason. This time, it was going to cost $1430 to repair. Not good enough for a $2300 washing machine. Terrible after sales service. Takes ages to get through on the phone, then theyre nice to you but nothing gets achieved.

Two weeks ago, we ordered a small part for our Asko dishwasher. We were told it would be in our home in NJ in 4 business days, which would have the part to us on Friday. The price to ship the small part was $18! Why? Because Asko claims to have a special deal with UPS. On Friday, the part did not arrive. We called but the parts department was already closed - an hour earlier than its posted hours. On Monday, no part came. We called again. They stated that the part would be with us no later than Tuesday, end of the day. Can we get a tracking number? No, Asko responded, We dont give out that information. Tuesday comes and goes. Wednesday, still no part came. Thursday morning, we called again. They put me on hold to contact UPS and discovered that the part went to New Mexico. At this point, my dishwasher has been broken for weeks. Their response was, Sorry for your frustration. I state that the mistake was made on their part and that I want the part shipped overnight. At $18 for shipping, its ridiculous not to have the part in two days! They could have shipped it through priority mail and given better service for a fraction of the cost. Their response was, Asko will let UPS know that that is what youd like. I stated back, No, I wanted Asko to direct them to ship the part overnight or ship a new part directly from the warehouse overnight. This was their mistake. Again, their response was that they contacted UPS in New Mexico and had let them know that we want the part overnight. At this point, I asked to speak to a supervisor, the person said, She isnt here, but Ill take your number and shell call you back. I received no phone call. This isnt the first experience Ive had with Asko. It will be the last. I wouldnt recommend them at all. Their level of customer care is horrible.

Just had my Asko D55254 dishwasher installed. It took a month to order it - the type where you install the wood panel over the door. My appliance store assured me it would be very quiet. Imagine my dismay when he installed it and started it up and its almost as loud as the 12 year old dishwasher I replaced. My daughters Kenmore makes no sound. I thought a $1300 Asko would be just as quiet. Big mistake. Now Im told if I want to spend another $600 I can upgrade to a Miele. I will never buy an Asko again and if I know of anyone who is thinking of getting one I will invite them to my house to listen to the loud noise it makes. Its a shame stores dont have appliances hooked up so you can actually hear them before you purchase them.

I bought an ASKO dishwasher and it broke after three or four wash loads. The entire microprocessor went out. I wanted a refund. They refuse and say that they dont have to take the dishwasher back because the warranty states that they can repair it. It seems to me that if a company sells a defective product, they should be willing to take it back for a refund. Their customer relations person was condescending and treated me horribly. Ugh.

I bought a washer and dryer, that was bought second hand from a reputable Asko dealer. It was still within its warranty period. After 5 days of usage, the washer quit working. I called Asko, and for two days, they asked for sales receipts, had the installer go out and check and make sure it was all hooked up, and verify it was not a user or install problem. It took 2-3 days to re-register the product. Then when it came time to actually do the work, they said it was not under warranty, because the original purchaser had not registered it within 90 days of purchase. I talked with a supervisor as well, and all they did was say it was policy, policy, policy, like they were robots. If this was the problem, why did they waste 2-3 days of our time, and have people go out and check things out? Would I ever buy Asko again? Absolutely not. They treat their customers like dirt, and talked down to me, because the original purchaser did not register on time, and I should have checked this out before purchase. For as expensive as their product is, you think you would get better customer service. For them, it was all about being registered, the numbers, nothing about the human on the other end. The story does have a happy ending though. The appliance dealer took back the Asko appliances, apologized, and brought out a new pair of Electrolux, and did not charge for the delivery. Hamiltons Appliance in Gladstone Oregon rocks! They have awesome service. Asko customer service needs to have more humanity, and not waste peoples time, and then in the end, deny them service. It’s not a good way of keeping your customers.

I am a backyard tech so do my own repairs on most things. Bought Asko D3122 Dishwasher 3.5 Years ago. Within 18 months drain hose had split. Drain hose from Asko twice the price of non-genuine Bunnings knockoff. Replaced Hose. Now at 3.5 years the power cord fried at the plug. Replaced plug - fixed it. 5 days later no power at all. Checked wiring behind kickplate and found float switch plug burnt out (after research I believe this seems to be a common problem that will eventually take out the main board in most instances in this model). When attempting to get the machine fixed at ASKO HEAD OFFICE AUSTRALIA my dealings have left me less than satisfied. Poor call back from customer service when contacted by phone though very pleasant to talk with. Extremely Poor face to face customer service at their HEAD OFFICE in AUSTRALIA. After reading other peoples experiences and now experiencing this same DISRESPECT OF TRUE CUSTOMER SERVICE I urge ANYBODY thinking of buying an ASKO APPLIANCE to STAY AWAY.

We bought an ASKO W6884 ECO washing machine which worked well until just over two years old and out of warranty, it started making slits in clothing amid a loud squeaking noise. I contacted ASKO who sent a service man costing $100, he telling me that the machine needed a new drive belt which would take a few days and cost $200. When he rang to return with this part, he asked me to disconnect the machine and have it ready for him, out from the cabinetry where Id paid ASKO to install it when we bought it. I declined, politely telling him that it was his job. When he arrived, he requested some towels which I assumed were to absorb any leaking water, but was surprised a short time later to find the kitchen floor and adjacent cabinetry awash, with him having rolled the towels up under his knees. A short time later, I heard a loud banging coming from the kitchen, and on walking in, found him kneeling on our towels, vigorously banging a claw hammer onto a shifting spanner to undo the lock nut at the back of the drum. He told me that the lock nuts on ASKO machines were always difficult to undo, that often these were sealed in with Loctite.I told him to stop, to use a ring spanner as he was stripping the lock nut to which he replied that he didnt have one which very much surprised me. I told him to stop work and rang ASKOs service manager, an extremely rude, arrogant woman called Varni to whom I related what had happened and that I was very unhappy. The repairman appears to have been a backyarder contracted by ASKO, he having come without towels or proper tools, leaving the place with the floor and cabinetry still awash. I shall never buy or recommend ASKO to anyone, and hope for ASKOs sake that I never change my sales job to selling household appliances.

I bought an Asko W6884 washing machine approximately 1 year, 1.5 years ago. The first one was leaking water, the door did not close properly. Asko sent the technician twice then changed it. No drama. The second started to do a squeaky noise and sounded like a spring inside just broke after a couple of months. The technician came again, few months later same story. After 4 technicians visits, Asko replaced it with a new one. No drama. The new one started to do the same squeaky noise, the technician came once, few weeks later same noise.I have asked Asko to give me the money back as I bought their product to have a reliable machine as I did not want to deal with repairs. The washing machine does a good job is totally programmable which is the reason I bought it in first place but I think there is something wrong with the spring system. Like a design defect. I dont believe I have been sooo unlucky to get 3 defected machines. I am disappointed because I bought Asko to have a quality product, reliable and energy wise machine.

I have had nothing but problems with my new ASKO dishwasher. It was only 3 years old when F11 kept showing up, which indicates a drainage issue. we had a repairman come in and their was no blockage, we changed the pump still did not fix the problem. After spending hours on hold to the call center, number of times being hanged up on and no call back, purchased a new computer board for the dishwasher, which only worked for 5 months, after calling another 3 times, 2 of which I was disconnected from after over 20min on hold, was told the part is no longer under warranty and the only way to fix it is to get their service people out and replace the part which could cost up to $400. Best decision I have made through all this is to throw it out and NEVER BUY ASKO AGAIN!!!

We bought the stainless steel Dishwasher in November 2010. The first days use had us with a leak of water on the floor and in the electronics compartment. ASKO wanted me to buy a Torx screwdriver and do the repairs. It is a machine with a guarantee, ergo, I said no. The service organization wanted me to pay for service, and I said no. Eventually, the machine dried up and the electronics began working again. Now in the third year, the machine has failed. The control board has failed. I phoned and wrote ASKO USA for a diagram of the machine. They did send one for the front door, but not the diagram of the location of the control board (which has failed). Their product is no longer sold in Montreal. We have no distributor and all parts have to come from afar (USA, Sweden, etc.). The machine is quiet, and when it worked, washed well, and was at a premium so that we could/would not have a noisy washing machine. There is no service for the product. There is a very polite telephone answering service, but no follow up. This company acts as if it is bankrupt. Lack of product support is why I would never recommend or buy another ASKO product.

The washer would stop spinning. I booked a services, the guy took over 2 hours to fix it. Paid over $200 for the service. When he leaves the spinning is fixed and washer starts making noises. I call him up and he tells me the noise will go in a few days when whatever it is inside will go down the coin whole. Well the noise didnt go and guess what my washer isnt spinning any more less than two months after the service. So I call him up wanting to know answers and how typical it is of him to say I need to book another service.

This is my 6th Asko washer since our original purchase. Thank goodness we have an awesome additional insurance. After last replacement, Asko offered us 3 days to give us $400.00 to get rid of us for our $1500.00 machine, which we refused. Yes, they replaced the machines that many times. But why did these machines not hold up? Shouldn’t they be required to continue coverage? We should still have 4 years on the recent Asko washer. We have no company backup. The service for the additional warranty is covering for another 6 months. The bearing is going now. Every time I need service, I’m without a machine for a month. Its always disheartening when you buy something and it doesnt perform to its expected level. But even when 3 different repairmen tell you all they do is fix these kind of products repeatedly in different customers homes and their product is not up to the standards of standard dishwashers then you know youve made a mistake buying it. In our case our dishwasher has never since day one clean the dishes thoroughly and has never ever dried the dishes and weve had 4 service calls well over $1200. Still have not had satisfaction. I guess its our fault buying a dishwasher from a country that is not known to produce products of this level or at all would highly want anybody to buy a local dishwasher from their appliance store or even Home depot with a name they know and trust like GE that has been a standard in the industry for years opposed to higher end appliances that dont perform at all.

I have a washer (W6903) and the control panel stopped working properly. I called ASKO back in April to have it fixed. That started a series of frustrating events that has me here today in August, with my machine still not working. They had me set an appointment with a local repair service (American Home Products - Los Angeles). They came out and confirmed that the panel needed to be replaced and then tried to extract non-warranty payments for knobs. I complained and they backed off from that, but said they may need to replace knobs when they replaced the panel but that would be on them. They finally go the part, replaced it and then broke the knob.Do you think they had the knob in question? No. Then they told me it was on back order and I had to wait more than a month before they go the part. Once they got the part, they scheduled an appointment and just didnt show up. They did not call to reschedule or apologize for not showing up. I have since been going around in circles with ASKO to have them set up a new company. ASKOs repair service has to be the worst Ive ever encountered.

Bought a gorgeous stackable titanium ASKO washer/dryer in May of 2013. By December the dryer was whistling a high pitched squeal. Turns out the belt was already a problem. We took the time to hunt down the proper warranty repair folks. They didnt have a replacement belt. They told us it would be at least three weeks for the belt to arrive. The washer is amazing and does a great job. We like the dryer as well - except for the whistle from the bad belt and the very loud performance altogether. Part of the reason we bought this model is that it is supposedly made for small spaces. But why would they design a product that floods its space with what sounds like a gigantic hair dryer? We have to leave the house to dry clothes because the dryer is SO loud. And the bad belt/whistle? Unbearable! Like so many European products, it is made of quality materials, is deeply thought through - but fail to work reliably. So frustrating!!!!! I hate to say it, but the repair folks are eventually going to come back and replace the practically new belt that doesnt work (already) - and I dont trust that the replacement wont have the same problem! I want ASKO to do well as I like the Swedes and the design is beautiful and I love beauty - but...

A technician came by to diagnose the issue February 03. He said it would be a week to get the parts. The part arrived a few months later and he came by again on April 17 and told me he needed more parts and it would be about a week to get in. It’s now May 12 and nothing yet. I purchased an Asko washer/dryer combo on 11/26/10, registered warranty on 1/20/11. Unit needed repair within 1 year. I called service tech (after getting approval from Asko). No problem. Within days, it needed another repair. It took over 2 months as Asko had to send the part. Now, we are on #3 repair. Its been almost 3 months and I have no working unit. Today, Asko says our warranty is not valid, yet our initial call (3 or so months ago!) involved a repair person coming out, Asko telling us and the tech they were sending the parts, and an offer to basically rebuild the unit. No repairs have happened. By the way, 3 years from 11/26/10 is 11/26/13. Its Dec. 21, 2012. My husband has had many phone calls and emails with various people. Finally, Chris ** agreed to refund us $550 for the unit. I am more skeptical and called again for more information and was told it will be $550 toward the purchase of another Asko washer. I was also told they do not make washer/dryer combo units. Well! Whats the point? Asko made one before. We have the WCAM 1812. We purchased a supposedly top-of-the-line product that doesnt work. Why would I buy anything else from this company? Asko hasnt honored this warranty. Why would I expect them to honor any of their warranties on any of their products?I can go online, enter our serial and model # and pull up a page that says its a 3-year, Bumper to Bumper, No Worry Parts and Labor Warranty. Yet, I still have a useless piece of junk sitting in my home purchased from a company that continues to lie to me. Their customer service reps just seem depressed and are virtually useless. This machine was looked after by myself, and very much so, and had Asko dealers come and do the services on it. Hence my disappointment when it died around November 2020, after only purchasing it in May 2015. I had the Asko repair man out twice during 2020 as something was amiss, to be told the cost to repair would be staggering, as they would need to order and replace the main box before they could even attempt to find the issue with it, the decision not to repair was simple, it would then cost more than half the price I paid for it in the first place, and that was without the service calls already paid for to fix it !! So I have an amazing looking Asko Heat Pump Dryer, that still looks brand new, sitting on top of my Asko Washer unable to do it's job. I will never buy an Asko dryer again, even if it's on SALE, as mine was, as for the price $$$$, definitely not worth the value for money the length of time it lasted when knowing how well the machine was looked after in the first place.

The technician reset my dishwasher (never opened the control Panel) then worked for a further 6 weeks. 4th April Due to Control Panel not working (never opened the control Panel). Regional Appliance technician visited my home and the panel work immediately for him.On the 4th April was told via phone call Sharon from Regional Appliances if their technician is to come out again and the control panel is working that I would be charged for this visit. A control panel was ordered by Regional Appliances but sent back to Asko supplier 3 months later. Between 4th April and 15th November 2016 last visit from regional Appliances. I have been turning my dishwasher off at the wall for a day or days until the dishwasher (control Panel) happens to come on. As I was reluctant to call Regional Appliances, I didnt want to be charged if it works for the Technician. The last visit from the RA Technician I explained to him that it created an unsafe environment with a huge, loud noise early in the unawaken morning with smoke and smell. He then proceeded to try and take the door off with no luck. He then proceeded to try and take the front panel off with screwdrivers and a lot of hard pulling and damage to the inside of door. I then left him to himself as my husband is a tradesman and says he hates people watching him. Within seconds he had his bag and told me it had cockroach damage.
