We purchased a home with brand new Dacor appliances. Within 1 year, the relay board had to be replaced. One year later, the relay board has to be replaced again. Its $600 each time for parts and labor... The part alone costs $500. The company does not warranty the relay board. At this point, we should have purchased a new wall oven. They claim these are superior appliances. Our gas stove top works well, but the wall oven and refrigerator have been nothing but problematic. We will never purchase this brand again.

Over ten years of using my Dacor oven, I have spent $1595 in repair bills to keep it going. It cost $1875 originally and I would have purchased a more reliable brand if I had known how much trouble the oven would cause me.

I purchased the Dacor panel ready refrigerator and freezer column 15 months ago. The refrigerator stopped cooling -- in 15 months! These were 8k each!!! It had now been over 2 months without a working refrigerator and no end in sight. I will never ever purchase one of their products again! They replaced the compressor and 3 days later it stopped cooling again. What a joke! DO NOT BUY DACOR!

I am amazed by the sleek look and design of the new Modernist refrigeration Dacor has to offer. The built in column pairing is my favorite with all stainless steel interior, tempered glass, and LED lighting that WOWs anyone who opens the door. The water dispenser is flush against the interior wall of the refrigerator and the freezer can offer two ice makers, one for regular ice and one for your high end cocktail drinks. These units are PURE LUXURY and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

The Dacor (model ER36SCH/NG) burners work, but the oven & the broiler burners will not. The circuit boards were replaced twice 2 times, under warranty, but still fail. I have to un-plug, or turn off then on the breaker to reset the circuit board. Dacor states that they are aware of defective boards, but are working on new replacement boards (no board yet). Its going on now, for over 6 months. Is there any news? I am very frustrated!

This range has never cooked anything well, overlooked and undercooked. Several technician visits, board replaced, thermostat replaced, starts error messages and clicking all on its own. Recently the cooktop has exploded with a big BOOM 3 times. We finally turned off the gas and Im cooking outside with the camping stove and BBQ. I am so upset about the explosions that I am shaking. Today it exploded while all knobs were OFF. Im thinking about getting an attorney. IF my house caught on fire my insurance would not pay unless I do everything in my power to mitigate damages. No gas should work, but I would like to be able to cook in my beautiful kitchen with my granddaughter. Help!

When I pay top-dollars for a supposedly high-end product, I would expect performance and durability. That is not the case with Dacor. This manufacturer charges top-dollars for their appliances but their products do not live up to expectations. I purchased a Dacor gas cooktop range, and within a year several blue-indicator lights on the knobs (which indicate the gas is on) failed. At that time it was covered under warranty, and even then it was a hassle to get the repair technician to come out and take the range out to get to the electronic parts. After replacing two of the lights, the other lights failed as well, and then the replaced lights eventually went out. Now, only one out of the five lights work. After a year, the appliance is no longer under warranty, and it is too expensive to get it serviced. Its not only a cosmetic issue, but a safety one as well. Were in the market for a single wall-oven, and I considered a Dacor for its clean and stylish design. However, after reading the reviews about Dacor, Im veering away from this company. Sadly, as much as I want to support a Made in America company, the pride of workmanship and customer service doesnt live up to this companys branding.

I bought a Dacor Epicure 48 range in 2003. It has never worked correctly. I read many other complaints on this same range. I had the burners replaced and I still have to light them with a match each time I turn them on. The oven temperatures were never correct. Nothing bakes properly even following their directions. It bakes very uneven. The hinges are sprung/broken (as the doors are too heavy for the lightweight hinge they use). I have had numerous service calls over the years and still not a good oven or repair. I too am very disappointed in the fact that this product is a lemon and they will not replace it.

The Dacor dishwasher had problems engaging and activating the cycle. We finally had enough and purchased a Bosch dishwasher even though the rest of our kitchen is Dacor. The new Dacor was $1600+ and the reviews on all their dishwashers since 2007 are one out of five stars. Dacor knows there is a problem and wont rectify it with the consumer. An amiable young man called from Dacor. He stated he would help me on any future problem with the other appliances. Why irritate the ** out of Dacor consumers when your company has had a history of irate consumers, specifically regarding the dishwasher. This certainly doesnt increase sales and only angers the base.

We acquired a $7,500 Dacor refrigerator when we bought a house this year. The fridge was only 5 years old. First of all it made horrendous noise when operating. Secondly the ice maker didnt work. Thirdly the freezer cooling unit died last week. How can a $7,500 refrigerator be designed so badly? I found out through Dacors authorized service company that it was quite likely the freezer could be fixed with a $400 part and some $250 in labor. The technician hinted that this problem was quite common with Dacor refrigerators. I contacted Dacor and suggested that their Internet reviews were terrible and they should help defray the costs of their premature failed unit. I was thinking that for a 5 year old product they should reimburse 50-75% of the total cost to repair. They said they would give me a 25% discount on the retail value of the parts only. In other words - I would be on the hook for at least $600 of the estimated $700 fix. This was a slap in the face. They dont seem to realize that their companys future business is only built on satisfied customers. I cant believe such expensive equipment can be so poorly designed and supported. Mercedes Benz... they are not. Lest anyone think that I am a frothing upset complaining consumer - I will tell you that I am currently retired, and formerly CEO of a $200 million public software company. I know something about building a business and I know something about focusing on customer satisfaction. I would urge anyone reading this review to stay away from all Dacor products. The Company has shown itself to be undeserving of any American consumers business!

On top of that, I have two light bulbs in the freezer that went out from the ordeal. From my review of the complaints here on Consumer Affairs, I see Im not the only one with this issue. This is a yearly problem, and I hope Dacor would step up and resolve this for me since it truly is a poor design issue and no fault of mine.

This fridge is great. We visit warehouse stores for groceries and everything fits perfectly. The shelves can move for tall items or more bulky ones. The freezer is large and can fit so many different items. My 2 other favorite things are the fresh drawer and auto refill water pitcher. The fresh drawer temp can be adjusted and can fit anything from wine to a cake to cheeses and meats. And an auto fill pitcher keeps the water super cold and you never have to worry about someone forgetting to fill it back up.

As an add-on to my original review, I had a a service call to address the LC error code. The service company reconnected my unit, turned it on, ran a couple tests, and declared there was no issue. We ran the dishwasher 1 cycle and it worked just fine. Tried to run it again later that day, and the LC code was back again. To resolve the issue, I worked with the company I bought my appliances through to replace the Dacor dishwasher with a Bosch. That happened today, so it is too early to tell say how the Bosch works, but it is more solidly built, has more capacity and the door fully opens with the panel installed.Dacor did reach out to me to try to resolve this issue, so kudos to their customer support, but the issues were just too many. And as I stated in my original review, love the Dacor range top, double oven and refrigerator.

Dacor dual fuel 30 inch range - First of all the look of the dacor is second to none in my opinion. The digital screen with blue lighting makes this a truly elegant part of any kitchen..... when it works. The range top itself worked flawlessly for me and the main burner was always more than enough. The problem with the range lies in the electronics. The unit has been in my home for over a year and has worked for less than a month total. An error code appeared when ever the oven gets hot. C33, C1, 0000, 1111, C11. Ive seen it all. I have had the main board replaced twice and my local repairman is on first name basis with even my dogs at this point. The final straw for me was when the oven door glass shattered while cooking and when dacor was contacted they said that happens. Im think Ill try Viking.....

I purchased my Dacor range in 07. After running the self clean cycle today, my oven wont heat up using convection or regular bake. Keep in mind, I had the entire electronic guts of the oven replaced in March 2011, 6 months ago after the same full failure. I paid $6,500 for this appliance. I wish I had my old GE oven back. This piece of equipment is only 4 years old. My husband and I dont use the oven often. What a huge disappointment! I will likely spend the next few days on the phone with customer service.

We were incredibly disappointed, not only with the range but with the customer service from Dacor. We purchased this range in January 2016 and here we are in July with what is basically a pan holder sitting uselessly in our kitchen. Problems started immediately. The first time I used the oven, it locked with the cooking food inside. It turned out that the thermostats on both ovens were so out of whack that the oven temperature reached self-cleaning mode levels so the ovens locked with the food inside! We had both thermostats replaced twice and still had the same problem. Eventually, the thermostats were calibrated, but still within a range. In addition, the switch for the convection oven just stopped working. After 6 months of trying to deal with this problem, we will be returning the range and replacing it with a different brand. At no point did Dacor offer to exchange the range, they simply kept sending a repair person.

I purchased entire kitchen of Dacor appliances - $30,000. The 48 refrigerator required 9 service calls to stop freeze up. Wall oven – the digital panel went bad. Stove top exhaust – the circuit is melting. The dishwasher had 17 service calls over 2 years - mid way they replaced the unit because they could not stop it from leaking and damaging our wood floors. The most recent service call was yesterday, 12/20/2011. After waiting since November, it is again not working. Does anyone else understand that spending $1700 on a dishwasher should allow you to use the dishwasher? I called the customer service and was told We are discussing the situation and will get back to you. Are you going to come wash dishes with me over Christmas when we have 25 guests? Were you there on Thanksgiving? If I hadnt been stupid enough to buy all Dacor appliances, I would throw it in the dumpster and buy a GE from Home Depot.

We purchased our home brand new in August 2006. The house was built and the appliances installed (but never used) in 2003. One of the things that sold us on the house was the kitchen being comprised of all high-end Dacor appliances (double convection oven, cooktop, dishwasher, and built-in microwave). Our excitement quickly turned to frustration. The first problems began with the dishwasher, which after several attempts at repair (circuit board) was begrudgingly replaced by Dacor, with “begrudgingly” being the key word. I have always found Dacor customer service to be rude and dismissive - with the only way that I ever received a satisfactory outcome, being via threats of contacting the BBB and Missouri Attorney General.About a year after receiving the replacement dishwasher, the internal racks began rusting badly. Once again, I called customer service who originally wanted to sell me new racks at a discount. Only after another persistent round of explaining that high-end dishwasher racks should be made from a material that doesnt rust, complaining and threatening, did I receive new racks free of charge. I was also informed that they had changed rack manufacturers and that would eliminate the rusting problem. Wrong. It has now been another couple of years, and the new racks are rusted worse than the previous ones. That is just the dishwasher. Our Dacor microwave display began slowly losing its LED display about 2 years ago. Lately, the microwave interior lining is beginning to disintegrate and rust through. One of the burners on our gas cooktop makes a constant popping noise when lit. The top half of our double convection oven no longer heats beyond 250 degrees. I realize that our appliances are now significantly beyond their warranty period, so I am no longer even attempting a resolution through Dacor. I will most likely ride these appliances into their graves and replace them with another brand. I am writing this mainly to alert others about my experiences with what I believe to be Dacors total lack of quality at a premium price. In my opinion, Dacor is all style and no substance.

The glass plate in the bottom of the oven has been a disaster from day one. Anything that drops on it leaves a white mark that is impossible to remove. It finally became so discolored that I had to have it replaced; over$100 for glass and factory-trained repairman charged $285 to install, a ten-minute job. I wish someone had told me of the problems before I spent over $5,000 on a range which should be useable, not just pretty to look at which also doesnt happen when the oven is all stained. Burners are tinny and dont begin to compare with the Thermador I have in my other home. I will never purchase another Dacor product.

Now, I upgraded my whole kitchen with all Dacor products and I am super happy, my 30 inch range top has extra wide grates which allows my wife to cook with extra large pans when she prepares food for donation, my updraft vent catches smoke and grease much better than my downdraft, my refrigeration is very nice looking with french door and middle refrigeration for my cold drinks and my dishwasher is very quiet. As a contractor, we were fortunate enough to build our dream home which was completed in 2005. After much research and many show room visits, we purchased Dacor appliances for our kitchen. As the saying goes, if I knew then what I know now. Our biggest (note I said biggest, not only) issue is with our ESC130 oven. If you own this oven, do not, repeat, do not, use the self-cleaning mechanism. I have had this repaired once and then replaced once (along with a relay board). I seldom use this because I know when I do the lock mechanism will continue to cycle until it is replaced. This means, while I can still use my oven, I have to time when I open the door based on when the lock is cycling in the unlock position. I must also turn the oven off at the circuit breaker or listen to the continuous warning beep that the lock is cycling (as if I didnt know). After repairing this feature once, I next choose to have the mechanism replaced and Dacor offered me a discount on the parts (the oven was and still is out of warranty) at a cost of more than $500.00. This is on top of what I had already paid to have it repaired just 18 months earlier. I feared using this feature again as I didnt want a repeat performance. After cooking macaroni and cheese yesterday, I felt I really needed to clean the oven and made the mistake of using the self-cleaning feature of the oven. I dont know why I was surprised when the locking mechanism refused to stop cycling.I contacted Dacor today only to speak with the rudest customer service representative I have ever encountered, Steven. No last name. He is the only Steven who works there. He refused to listen to me, spoke over me when I did try to talk, and did not allow me to speak with anyone else. There are no supervisors available on Fridays and he could not transfer me anywhere. I left a message for someone else to call me (they did not). I called back later that afternoon and was given the name of a supervisor, Nhi. She was not available and I spoke with another customer service representative. I learned that Dacor is aware they have a problem with this locking mechanism and are trying to correct it. This got my hopes up, thinking that the company would now do the right thing and replace this mechanism at not cost to me, or at least at no cost for the parts. Not so. Even though Dacor knows there is an issue with this mechanism and they are supposedly trying to correct it, all they can offer me is a discount on parts. Really? Wow! A discount for a part that you know doesnt work properly and probably wont work properly because they are still working on the problem? I just really dont know what to say. Is this supposed to make me happy as a customer? Would prospective customers want to buy a Dacor product knowing that Dacor is more than happy to sell me a known defective product at a discounted price and they should expect the same? It is probably needless to say that I would urge all prospective Dacor owners to not waste their money on any Dacor product as they do not care about their customers. I will certainly be doing my part to warn others and hope this serves to warn others as well. Dacor has a lot to learn in terms of building even what could be called a good product and standing behind what they sell as well as becoming a customer service oriented company.

I did a kitchen remodel in 2008 and was convinced by the sales guy at Home Expo to go w/ the Dacor over the Wolf. I bought the dual-fuel 36... Within 2 years I had serious problems. The oven, when not on Convection Roast or Con Bake, just using Bake will consistently turn itself off... Ive ruined many a meals, usually big ones: Turkey, Prime Rib(long cook time items). Dacor Epicure Dual Fuel Range and Microwave - Where to begin? Perhaps at the end is best. Dacor appliances are shoddy, unreliable, outrageously expensive to repair and there is no customer support. That about covers it. We bought the above noted pair during our kitchen renovations 8 years ago. We thought that Dacor was a premium brand that would give us long trouble free service. How wrong we were! The only thing Premium about them is the price. 4 years ago, the microwave door refused to latch. Thanks to YouTube, I found out how to remove the door backing and found that the plastic part that comprised the latch was broken. Dacor was contacted - they no longer had the part. Try the open market I was told. I managed to jury rig a repair by using a wooden shim. 3 years ago, the range packed it in. Another repair - this time I was told it was the circuit board that had failed and which was replaced to the tune of $700 and I was cautioned that the second circuit board was not working very well - the interior light would not illuminate and the blue lights indicating a lit burner didnt work, and I should change it too. The smaller circuit board was costed out at $400. Last week, the door latch motor failed and the range began to beep incessantly. Now the oven cannot be used and repair costs quoted over the phone were in the 1000$ range. Thats it for us. Dacor is junk and belongs where its headed - the junkyard. Dont buy Dacor. Live and learn I guess.

We remodeled, added a very upscale kitchen in 2003, and chose Dacor appliances, 36 inch dual fuel stove, 30 inch wall oven, microwave, and a 30 inch dishwasher, well over $25000 worth. NONE of the appliances has worked properly, but the dishwasher has taken the cake. I have lost count on how many times I was in contact with the customer service. The digital board went bad, the error msgs kept coming for years! The racks/baskets rusted after just a couple of years! After numerous encounters with anybody I could get a hold of they were finally replaced, but not the right racks because they do not fit, falls off the side every time I use this dishwasher. I cannot tell you how frustrating this has been! I was eventually told that I could not complain anymore because I was out of warranty and they would not respond anymore! I am stuck with this $3000+ dishwasher that I cannot afford to replace, because I would have to rebuild that area of counter cabs in the kitchen! The service has been horrible. I completely gutted my kitchen on 2/22/92, and purchased a Dacor CPD230R double oven. Whenever I used the self-cleaning function the next day, F0 would appear. I would have to get a repairman to come to my house. This cost me a fortune. For one year, I just used the bottom oven. I finally called Dacor, and complained. I wrote a letter to Mr. **, and wanted satisfaction. They decided that I could purchase a new, better oven for $1,480.00. This was 1998, so in 6 years, I spent $3,680.00 for 2 ovens. After 5 years, I started having the same problems. Every time I used the self-cleaning function, F0 would appear. I just totaled my bills for the new, better oven, and I have spent $963.00 and it would be more, but I figured out, if I pressed cancel and held it, the F0 would disappear. So every time I used the oven, that is what I did. This would last for 8 months. The oven completely shut down, and I could not use the top or bottom. I just had a repairman here, and he said i need a new membrane assembly, and latch. They were supposed to call me with an estimate. They just called, and said the part is no longer available. This is upsetting. Reading the reviews, I see I am not alone in my dissatisfaction with the Dacor oven. Now, I will be redoing my kitchen.

After a few days they came to our home to review the issue and noted that this was a known design issue with the refrigerator and that our house water pressure maybe too high and they would have to come back out and install a special valve to fix the issue. Later they called and said Dacor will not acknowledge this as their issue and to call a plumber. We purchased this oven/cooktop was installed in February 2020. I have been unhappy with the performance of the smaller oven from the beginning. It takes 20 minutes to pre-heat, a loud fan starts to run partway during the pre-heating process and then warm air starts to flow out the bottom. Plus, it is not either holding the correct temperature or not reaching it completely, nothing I cook in there is done in a appropriate amount of time. Baking a small potato takes an hour and a half at 375, brownies take almost twice the approximate baking time. My attempts to contact them have been less than satisfactory. I wrote for a second time over two weeks ago providing a copy of the invoice and have still heard nothing. I am quite disappointed with this product & company.

We purchased a Dacor Epicure Range for approximately $10,000 and have had one repair after another because the burners leak gas, endangering our family. Weve spent almost $3,000 on repairs and the repairman has told us that hes never seen such a pervasive gas leak. To manage the cost of repairs, weve literally turned the gas and stove off for periods of time to cook on other appliances. While I love the design of the stove and specifically selected it over Wolf and other high end brands, I now wish I had gone with another brand. I have reached out to Dacor about this but they have not been willing to stand behind their product.

Im planning a kitchen remodel and stumbled on this site. I have a Dacor dual fuel range (stove wont light, oven wont hold temp), hood (light wont stay on consistently), microwave (replace once, okay now), wall oven (panel out) and warming drawer. Only the warming drawer is working correctly. I live in rural Kansas and I cant get anyone to do repairs. I really like the design but... its time to move on to a new brand!

ZERO STARS if I could but DISAPPOINTED - if I had to use one word to describe our experience with Dacor with not only our $8K+ 42 Built In Refrigerator that is sitting at 70+ degrees in the freezer and fridge sections but SO DISAPPOINTED with their poor customer service and lack of concern resolution tools for their team to even try to help. They are supposed to have high end luxury products. With that, anyone would expect to have a luxury customer experience. However, our family has been WITHOUT a working unit since January 6th. That is less than a month from when we had it installed but almost a month from today. We followed the proper protocols to get it repaired. Took almost two weeks to even get a technician. Once we did, he confirmed it needed to be replaced. We got approval and now learned we have wait another 2-3 weeks to get a separate decision to be made.Requested if there is any way to escalate our concerns but cant even talk to a supervisor for another 24-48 hours... Apparently they will call when it is convenient to them. Dacor - have some empathy for your customers! Imagine paying for a high end product to have no working fridge or freezer for a family of 6. Not sure how this is an acceptable practice. POOR QUALITY, UNTRUSTWORTHY, DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS.

Dacor EO227SCH - double wall oven. Installed all Dacor appliances when we did a kitchen renovation in 2008. Stove top, Micro Wave and Warming Drawer each have been excellent. Ovens have been a nightmare. Dacor would not honor warranty 7 days after it expired. Had no less than a dozen service calls in first 3 years. Ovens conveniently have problems around holidays. Example: lower oven quit working two days before this Thanksgiving - last week! Paid a high price to get Dacor and have paid thousands and spent countless hours on service calls since. Am totally dissatisfied with Dacor products and the companys refusal to stand behind its product. I tell everyone who is contemplating Dacor not to. Did it today with a couple who signed a contract for a $1M home in N Atlanta. Builder specified Dacor and I strongly advised against it. Homebuilder is now looking at other options.

As I have read in most of the reviews, we have also experienced the control panel on our 30 inch dual range cracking over the years. We were told not to replace it because it would continue to happen. Ok, lived with that... Now something new has started to happen, the plastic handle on the oven door and surrounding area has started to melt. It got so bad after a self clean that it is collapsing. Now there isn’t much of a seal at all when the door closes. The stove isn’t brand new, but this has to be a fire hazard, and consequently, now the oven will not even turn on. I’ve reached out to Dacor with no response yet. I’m done with this company!

We remodeled our kitchen in 2002 and chose the Dacor 36 dual-fuel range. I was preparing a pork roast for a dinner party with the oven on Bake. The roast was just not coming up to temperature, though the display indicated that the oven was at the temperature I set. I wound up slicing the roast and cooking it on the griddle; my hungry guests were getting restless. Then I tracked the oven heat for an entire day with an oven thermometer. The oven would come up to temperature and then cool off. I sent these numbers to Dacor and asked customer service for an explanation. Believe it or not, the conversation was--Dacor: The temperature is going down because the fan is coming on. Youre not supposed to use the Bake setting, but only the Convection Bake or Pure Convection. Me: Why is the Bake button there, then? Dacor: Were taking it out in the next production run. (This hasnt happened. My sister-in-law bought a Dacor last year before I could warn her and the button is still there.) Also, after using the self-clean one time, I noticed a crack on the inside of the oven door, starting in the corner of the window. The inside of the window is now permanently spotted with baked-on grease. Now my oven does not work at all. The repairman says that the circuit board needs to be replaced, and if Im lucky, it will work for a couple of years. The repair will cost around $700 including labor. The repairman told me that some repairmen in our area will not even work on Dacors because there are so many problems. Im considering replacing the stove... a very expensive mistake. Beware of Dacor products.

This is a follow-up comment from my last post dated June 21st 2011. My local appliance company, where I purchased this oven, seems to have helped with their recent fix. I was able to bake a white cake, following the box directions, that was not burned on one side and raw on the other; it was okay. With fall arriving, I will be back in my kitchen and will be using my oven. I will keep you posted. I still would not recommend this oven to anyone, and will not purchase any future Dacor products.

Dacor Distinctive Series Range model DR30D - One week after the appliance warranty expired, the oven stopped heating. The repair man replaced the circuit board. We still got a code 33 when we try to get the oven to heat to 400 degrees. Called customer service, they said to flip the breaker to the unit off for a few minutes. Seemed to help but we do not use the oven much, as we also have a Meile microwave/oven that we love and use that more. Then I cleaned the oven using only the ovens program. That locked down all of the gas cook top knobs. I called the repair service, it snowed on the Saturday of the appointment. They cancelled. I did not check the stove on Sunday. On Monday the repair service walks in and simply turns it on, no problem. VERY FISHY!!! I have heard the manufacture can control it by computer chips. This appears to be very true. Now the stove does not heat past 250 degrees. After speaking to a few people it appears this is a very common issues. Dacor is a lemon. Do not waste your time and money.

From the beginning, August 1997, 17 years ago, I was not able to use my oven after self-cleaning. The problem was never resolved after countless service calls totaling over $1500. Aside from the cost, I was inconvenienced every time I cleaned my oven, as I was not able to use it until it was serviced, about a two week wait. I contacted Dacor early on and they reluctantly agreed to extend my warranty for a year. They did nothing beyond that, and my oven still shuts down after self-cleaning, which I hesitate to do at all, until it is beyond needing cleaning! The circuit board was replaced and recently the cooling fan was changed, but....no luck. Buying a new oven is not an alternative, as the oven performs well in every other way and I simply cannot afford one. I cannot believe a company of such status is not interested in satisfying its customers.

I purchased a Dacor range hood 3 years ago. I had an intermittent problem from the start, as one of the two lights would intermittently go off. Replacing the bulbs didnt fix it. As one light worked perfectly, it became a tolerable issue. Finally, I was having other electrical work done in our home & I asked my electrician to look at it two weeks ago. He figured out that it was a defective lamp housing that incorrectly held the lamp bulb. Dacor shipped me a replacement lamp housing for me at no charge. I installed it this last weekend and it is running fine. Thanks, Dacor!

We remodeled our kitchen in 2001 and bought a Dacor Epicure 30 dual fuel range. The gas cooktop has never been a problem, unlike the oven which has been a problem from the first week with unpredictable temperature variations. Multiple holiday meals have seen the extended family waiting for dinner for two hours because the oven decided to be cool that day. The advice from Dacor: preheat your oven for several hours before you need it or my favorite from a repairman: you must be slamming your oven door. Not helpful. Several expensive repairs later (over $2100) and one fire in the oven now it wont turn on at all. We are going to try one last time to repair it and then we are done. I do not recommend Dacor to anyone - too expensive to have such terrible quality and service.

I remodeled my kitchen about four years ago with all Dacor appliances. It was the biggest mistake I have ever made. I have since replaced the refrigerator after only two years. After spending over $1000 in repair calls and parts, I purchased a new refrigerator as the freezer motor went out and had water all over my floor countless times even after new parts were installed. The ovens also have been replaced (12 months ago) as the lower heating element went out and had the upper and lower ovens go out with panel failures. I was so stupid to install the 30-inch dishwasher, as well. It also went out after 18 months with a motherboard failure. The upper rack glider also fell apart. Having the 30- inch dishwasher, I would have had to have a carpenter come in and make adjustments to my new cabinets. So I found another 30-inch Dacor dishwasher at an appliance store in Memphis, had it shipped to me and installed. It has been 10 months and I am now having the same problem I had with the previous Dacor dishwasher. It never ends! With the only option left but to have the cabinet remodeled, I will be purchasing a third dishwasher 10 months later. The only good that came out of this is the cooktop is still working (as of this date). All I can say is, if it says Dacor, dont purchase the product! This company shouldnt even be in business! What is even more pathetic is, when you call the Customer Service number, their representatives have such a I could care less attitude. It is a waste of time to even attempt to seek a solution to your problem. I guess they feel that since they have your money now, its the consumers problem, not theirs.GE Profile products are far superior and a lot less money. It goes to show an expensive price tag doesnt mean the product is superior.

I could have written every one of these negative reviews. Ive had all the same issues with my Dacor Epicure oven. Faulty computer panel, failed motor in the downdraft fan, oven not maintaining temperature (meaning NOTHING cooks correctly in this oven), burned out lower element and discolored interior. And let me add that the interior oven fan stays on for about half an hour after you turn off the oven. What purpose could that possibly serve???? Suffice it to say that this is a poorly made product by a company that has no desire for repeat customers. I am currently working with customer service to try to get my oven working for Thanksgiving, but I just dont have much hope after reading all of these similar issues. Our refrigerator is 5 years old and has had a problem with icing up in the freezer area, resulting in a loud noise from the freezer fan. We originally called Dacor for service but they could not get to it for 2 weeks. An appliance repairman installed a new heater for the defroster. This only worked a short time and happened twice with a cost of over $1000. A couple of months ago, it happened again, and we were able to get a hold of ** at Dacor customer service. She knew exactly what was causing the problem. She ordered the parts and directed a factory-approved repairman to install over $800 in parts and we are confident the issue is resolved. Thank you, Dacor, for standing behind your products.

October 2013 we had the Dacor model# EORD230SCH installed. It broke just in time for Thanksgiving! After several attempts of repairs, Dacor replaced this oven model# EORD230SCH with the next newer model at no cost. Not more than one month later the replacement oven doesnt work. Service is painfully slow. We had a 03 year warranty on the original purchase and the clock keeps ticking from the date of the initial installation. WE have asked for and been denied by Dacor, to reinstate the 03 year warranty once the unit is actually working. We bought this unit, spent extra money, thinking we were buying quality. So, two ovens in less than one year, doesnt equate to a quality product to me. Keep getting the standard answer about the warranty - no added time will be assigned.

Dacor Double Oven Model D0230 - I have had my oven since November 2011. I purchased an extended warranty at the time of buying the oven. Right after it was installed, I called and said they needed to come and adjust the temperature control. It was off at least 50 degrees. It never held the correct temperature. Since July, we have had to replace 2 relay boards, two other parts that should take care of erratic temperature. Then I noticed the gasket was turning black in the corner and my glass pack in the window was steaming up and not clearing. The extended warranty would not cover the glass replacement and I was charged $126. They said it was cosmetic, but this was so bad that I couldnt see through half the glass. The steam stained the glass and you could not clean it, because it was inside two pieces of glass. Do not buy a Dacor oven. In 38 months I have so many repairs that I have lost track.

I remodeled a kitchen in a high end house and so wanted nice appliances. I had KitchenAid (which Id had a lot of issues with) for about 16 years. (Since I built the house - the fridge was rebuilt 3 times.) While looking for which appliances to use we were at an open house and a chef was cooking and giving a talk on the Dacor ovens in it. So... I reviewed a lot, liked what I read, and chose Dacor. I love them, the cook quality, the features, all of it. BUT my double oven had issues from the start. An annoyance at first with the built in Android but I didnt complain a lot. Move forward 1.5 years and the Android tablet built into it would freeze and not restart without throwing a jumper on fuse box. I called Dacor and they gave me a number of options, disable the Android because of a known issue and get $500 back, or - return the oven for full credit and theyd pay to have it removed (1.5 years later... cmon thats pretty awesome), or - pay $500 and move to the newest higher end model with steam cooking. Wow, talk about stand by your product! Ive never seen this before with an appliance manufacturer/vendor. Certainly wasnt my experience with KitchenAid. Anyway Im an advocate even though I had a problem and thought they deserved credit here.

Wow! I wish I had read this website before we built our house 3 years ago. I have a 5 burner Dacor cook-top that has been nothing but trouble since day one! I have 5 different appliance brands in my kitchen and the Dacor is the only one that has caused continuous problems. I was so mad at the repair man today I hung up on him (poor guy, I see now Dacor is the problem). The cook-top has exploded three times. ow when I say exploded, I am not joking at all. I mean the explosion blew the cook-top up and burners off, blew the cabinet doors underneath open, flames shot out and the house shook. One of the times, my one year old son was standing next to it. I was so upset I ran into the other room with him and sat on the floor and we both cried. It was terrifying! I have had a repair man here 6 times over the last 5-ish weeks (Yes, I didnt have a stove over Thanksgiving and I was the host; its not looking good for Christmas either and we have 4 kids). They have replaced, cleaned and fixed everything possible. They then pointed the finger numerous times at the propane company (which they now have determined it is not a propane problem for sure). Today the repair company called me (by the way, they have been constant contact with their Decor rep Rob about the problems) and said they are done. My expensive 3 year old cook top is not repairable. They have exhausted every possibility. They have been here 6 times and the propane company three times. I have a hole in my granite counter top cut specifically for the cook-top and am told that every cook-top is a different size so I do not know what I am going to do. I called Dacor today and asked to speak to someone who could help me to no avail. I then asked for someone (anyone) to call me back today. You guessed it. Theres been no call back. This is getting really old. How many weeks does this need to go on (dont answer that)? Another problem that I have just lived with is that the stove continually clicks for quite a while after you are cooking. I was told to clean it a certain way. I did that and it didnt work. The repair man did it; it didnt work. The repair man said something was loose inside and tightened it. It still didnt work. I guess I could live with the click. It is the explosions that I need fixed.

After purchasing what I thought would be ovens of a lifetime I could not be more disappointed, frustrated and angry at a company in my buying history! Since November of 2014 and longer I have been fighting for service or answers or at least honesty! The ovens have never worked properly, they do not keep temperature. The oven temperature drops 60 to 75 degrees while cooking over a couple hours. The control board was replaced. Still the ovens never worked. If you like to cook and cook for the bed and breakfast, which is why you bought an oven like this, you will have your ovens on for a couples hours preparing any multi-dish meal! I was treated rudely on the phone during routine troubleshooting and was never allowed to speak to a manager. Dacor for months or so later is buying back my ovens minus a restocking fee, on ovens that dont work, $1200!

We built a home in 2006 and installed all Dacor appliances. I would never ever purchase these products again. My gas cooktop was the top of the line product from Dacor and I have had nothing but problems with it for 5 years now. I have spent over $1000 fixing the large burner that continues to have leaks with the seal to the point where the flames come out the bottom of the burner. Most of the other burners click when lit even though they are clean and away from a draft. I have had 2 Dacor approved repair companies out and they both recommended against Dacor. In addition, the finish on the cooktop has soaked in my heavy duty cooking juices and foods and the stains will not come out. Apparently, this is due to the new finish they used so that the metal can withstand the high temperatures. If this company were an auto mfg., they would have had to do recalls and face potential class action suits. I would prefer to be cooking on a camp stove rather than my Dacor. When I contacted Dacor, they offered parts at a reduced rate which still cost a fortune. When I asked about replacement, they said they would sell to me at a discounted rate which was still $2400. Bad product, bad company. My cooktop is still giving me issues. it is embarrassing to cook with friends around because of the problems.

Years ago I purchased the Dacor Double Oven over a Thermador because the Thermador had a ridiculously long pre-heat time. The Dacor has performed reasonably well as a oven particularly in convection-bake mode. But over time, components started failing and repair parts were hard to find, unavailable or ridiculously overpriced. I am an an engineer with DIY skills honed from years working with high tech food manufacturing equipment and controls including ovens. In recent years, I have needed to replace a relay board, the main control board, hinges two times, and most recently the hinge receptacles. I have also replaced an inner panel on a door assembly. Just think what such repairs would have cost for an average consumer. I understand the parts can fail, but Dacor has shown little regard for consumers in my opinion. They have done very little to maintain an inventory of repair parts. Basically their message is that the part is now obsolete and unavailable. Thats some answer when the price of a new double oven is multiple thousands. Recently, the hinges on my upper oven failed again. As they failed, their failure caused increased wear on the hinge receptacles. Soon the receptacles failed as well. I was able to find hinges at a ridiculously high price but the receptacles were unavailable anywhere. I contacted a several parts suppliers who told me that they had no idea when the parts would be available. Moreover at least two of the suppliers mentioned that they had a backlog of orders for the receptacles - one had a backlog of over thirty. Yikes!. At that point I contacted Dacor customer service and asked what could I do to get the part. Answer: The part is unavailable and we have no estimate on when it will be available. I tried to escalate my request and got nowhere. Finally after many hours of online searching, I found one set of the hinge receptacles at a price 4X last years price. Lastly as I replaced the receptacles today, I realized that the mounting screws only hold one portion of the U shaped mount. If the screws were longer, the receptacle would be less prone to twisting and wear. Be aware that Dacor was sold to Samsung a few years back. Based on my experience, I could never recommend Dacor. Caveat Emptor!

Our 30in Dacor double ovens are approximately 12 years old. I feel they operate adequately. However, not better than our much lower end appliances we previously owned. My main complaint is the self cleaning function. My old ovens self cleaning worked much better! With our Dacor ovens one must take out the racks and clean them by hand. This is very difficult and time consuming. I used the 3 hr option to clean my oven that was moderately dirty, mainly from cooking a prime rib over the holidays. After the 3 hr cleaning the oven was still very dirty with splatters and grease. Im now cleaning my oven again with a second 3 hr cleaning cycle. I know at the end of this second cycle I will need to do a lot more cleaning by hand! I hope Dacor has improved their inadequate self cleaning feature. If it hasnt been improved, I really cant recommend Dacor ovens.

I purchased DACOR built in 30 separate side by side freezer & refrigerator on Jan. 18th 2019. After installation (Jan. 31st) a few days later the food and shelves in the freezer started getting a build up of ice. I called to have my freezer looked at and they gave me a service call of Feb. 7th the soonest a Dacor Rep could make it. The Dacor Rep determined that the freezer door was not sealing properly. The rep from Dacor adjusted the door and said the freezer should be fine. It was not. The ice continued build up on my food/shelves. I was instructed to call if I had any further problems. I made several calls starting on Feb. 9th to Dacor customer service, and, Dacor Service Rep. No one called me back. I left messages, I even text the service rep as he told me to do if I had any problems. I also sent pictures via text to him. No call back from anyone! It took me several days to get someone on the phone to find out what could be done with the freezer and why it was icing up. On Feb.13th I spoke to a customer service rep in the corporate office. He asked me to email him pictures of the inside of my freezer which I did. I never heard back from him. No call, no return email, they just don’t acknowledge any voicemail, or even emails. March 7th another customer service rep, she said a new door was being ordered to replace the one I have now, as they decided it was damaged during shipment. She also told me that her service rep recommended I push on the top corner of the freezer door each time I closed it and to keep defrosting the freezer. Why after paying this kind of money am I told to “defrost” my freezer?Fast forward to May and my ice maker stopped making ice… Since this purchase most of the food had freezer burn. I had to pushed on the door as Customer Service suggested as a solution while I wait for them to install a new door or fix the one on it.. I had to throw out about $600 worth of food. In the end I returned the Dacor refrigerator and freezer. The customer service from Dacor is beyond poor. I wished I had read other reviews on this company and their products before I made such a larger purchase. Please do your research before you spend money with Dacor. The company, Monarch Premium Appliances I purchased the Dacor appliances through exchanged them for me. I can’t say enough good things about Monarch and their employees. Both the company and my salesperson, ended up taking a loss in order to make the exchange! Dacor would not allow them to return the appliance. That is just unacceptable. Why should the company carrying their brand be made to take a loss??? Shame on Dacor for that!

I submitted a review regarding a repair on this same refrigerator Dacor EF42BDCBSS back on 10/29/12 and 10/31/12. We now have another repair bill in the amount of $486.42 for a drain pan kit and defrost thermostat. I tried to contact Dacor by phone and email to talk about the situation, but have not received a response. I would highly recommend that you think twice about buying a Dacor brand refrigerator.

We have a new (one year old) home with Dacor appliances. The microwave oven went on the blink the first month but was repaired by a factory approved repairman. Something to do with the computer. Now the double oven will not hold a temperature. We set the oven at 420 and it only goes to 360 even though the readout shows 420. We just decided to skip the repair process and bought a new Wolf oven. This is our second Dacor within the past two years and both have had the same problem. Dont waste your money.

Dacor double oven range turns off by itself while baking - Disappointed in Dacor, especially today. Thanksgiving 2016: baking turkey. Sill baking turkey. I dont know when the oven decided to switch off this time, but I have an uncooked turkey and guests waiting. The oven has done this before, but because it was new I thought it was user error. Nope, the damn oven mysteriously turns off on its own. Incredibly irritated with Dacor. The range hood we also purchased is a joke. We remodeled our kitchen 1 year ago and wanted quality appliances. Bad move. Save your money, folks. Save your money.UPDATED ON 03/10/2017: Dacor sent a company out to fix the broken new oven. Oven still cannot hold its temperature (It takes FOREVER to heat then loses its heat while still showing a high temp). This time I have a recording on what happens when the oven automatically switches off. Disappointing when we spent nearly $10,000 in Dacor appliances for a kitchen remodel. DACOR, please have a rep contact me!!! Still waiting to hear back!!!

We are in the process of remodeling our house including an entire new kitchen that we cant wait to finish to invite people over and show. HOWEVER, the cook top already has a light burned and finally the cover of it ended up falling as I was wiping down the stove (very softly by the way because I like to treat my appliances really nice). We have had this stove for less than a year I havent even made the last payment and it is already with a light burned out. REALLY? My husband spent countless hours researching the best appliances and decided to get this one and to come to find out that it is not good it is a complete disappointment. I am sooo upset. DO NOT BUY THIS BRAND!!! Save yourself the hassle that we are now going to go through trying to get a hold of someone on the phone and see what they will do if anything. I bought it from AJ Madison.

Dacor representative has been helpful in responding to my complaint and has sent new oven racks which I greatly appreciate. I was able to send them pictures of the damaged racks. I want to clarify that the warranty that was sold to me by an upscale appliance center was NOT a Dacor extended warranty and I believe that this caused my issues to slip thru the cracks. Nothing can be done about the interior that seems to have a film of sorts on it, short of replacing, but I am grateful that Dacor customer service went out of the way to correct the problem with the racks.

We bought the Dacor Wall Oven (ECS136SCH) in 2006 during a complete kitchen remodel. In 2009, the relay board was replaced twice. The first time, it was over $500 to replace. The second time, it was covered under the parts warranty when a terminal was bad. Now, I need another relay board and a new element which will cost over $700 to replace. For an oven that was originally over $3000, this is not acceptable, but what other choice do I have? The technician told me that Dacor has the worst mark up for replacement parts. I thought I had done my research and found that Dacor had a good product. I guess I was wrong.

We remodeled our kitchen in 2007 and bought the High-end Dacor side by side fridge and oven set. The fridge has been down FIVE times in 8 years and we have replaced elements, etc on the stove at 5 years. Horribly built and product support has been near non-existent, even during warranty period. I would not recommend this product line to anyone. If it was just one appliance or the other OR if the product support was there, I would not be as upset! We spent over $15,000 and have had nothing but headaches and lost $s on repairs and food that was thrown away.

My Dacor (3 years old) oven top burners igniters dont stop after being turned on, although they are burning. Ive tried drying them for many hours and applying rubbing alcohol. The front ones do this all the time when we turn them on. When we turn the left front burner on, the front right ones igniter does it along with the left! The back ones do it occasionally, so are still usable. Apparently this is a common problem with Dacor units. Why havent they fixed it? Weve had them fix the electronic panel at huge expense, and are not going to call them again. When the back burners stop working, well get another unit. Ive had gas stoves for 30 years and have never experienced anything like this poor quality. Its amazing that they are still in business.

Purchased home with installed Dacor double oven. Oven wouldnt reach set temperature, so replaced control board. Doable, but a real hassle to remove oven from wall opening and label, disconnect, and reconnect 20-something wires. Two years later, the clock cannot take the correct time and oven timers do not work. Only fix: replacing the $300 control board again. I cannot recommend that anyone purchase these appliances as the control boards simply do not work for more than a couple of years.

When our installer removed the packing material, he saw that the oven glass was shattered. Dacor said they would fix it, but wouldnt tell me how. I had to call the local repair shop to see what parts were being shipped. Only the glass! Not even the whole door. The idea that they would take apart and reassemble a brand new oven and consider that acceptable service makes me angry. This is supposed to be a high end company. I responded that this was unacceptable since the oven had obviously been dropped (shatter pattern spreads from the lower right corner of the glass) and might be a safety hazard. No response yet. We purchased a Dacor dual fuel oven range in 2008 in conjunction with an extensive kitchen remodel. It was beautiful and expensive. It has had innumerable problems. 2008: One of the igniters broke requiring replacement. 2014: oven stopped working, required new relay board. June 2020: Relay board again broke, oven stopped working. December 2020: Oven stopped working, heating element broke. These were serious problems each resulting in 1-2 months without an oven as the parts had to be special ordered. We have not had an oven since December 2020 (it is now March 2021). We are waiting for a replacement part. In addition, minor problems included a broken indicator light and burner grating. Dacor customer service was only moderately helpful, referring us to local repair companies that had difficulty obtaining parts. Dacor has told us that this should last decades but we are seriously considering replacing it after 12 years because it is very unreliable. I would not recommend a Dacor based on our experience.

I had repairman come twice because of smell and end January 2020 the stove stop working again. We remodeled our kitchen in the fall of 2009 and decided to purchase what we thought were higher end Dacor appliances (stove top, oven and microwave). Well, what a mistake that turned out to be. Considering the price we paid for the appliances, you would not expect problems from all 3. Perhaps a problem with 1 appliance, but problems with all 3 suggest a real quality problem. My first indication should have been when I called and asked how to change the green LED on the microwave to blue to match the nice blue LEDs on the oven mounted right below. I was told that someone else makes the microwave and Dacor just puts their name, and that I should just turn off the LED on the microwave. I dont know if that is true, but that is what I was told. Now when using the microwave/convection feature, the oven makes a noise (sounds like a fan motor) for the first 3-5 minutes then eventually quiets down. A daily reminder of the mistake we made purchasing Dacor. Then those nice blue LEDs on the oven started failing making it impossible to read the clock, timer or temp. Luckily, the oven still works; you just cannot read the LED any longer. This is a constant reminder of the mistake we made buying Dacor as we see the LED every time we walk into the kitchen. Finally, we have the solid surface electric cooktop. Although it works fine, the black paint on the metal trim around the stove top is wearing off. Now, we have some shiny metal and some black trim. This is just an annoyance and honestly, we probably would not have even complained about it. However, with the other problems we have had with Dacor, it just adds to our overall disappointment with Dacor. If I knew then what I know now, I would be a lot happier because I would have GE appliances and not these overpriced low quality Dacor appliances.

We bought this oven and had it installed a month ago. Id love to love it, but unfortunately I dont even like it. Immediately after installation I noticed the touchpad for the bottom oven didnt work. I called Dacor and spent quite a bit of time while someone did the standard is the power on run through. I was told someone would have to call me back in the morning, at 9 am. The next day at 10 am having not heard a word, I called back. I was given the option to be called back (you wont lose your place, and our first rep...) Great! Nope. Four hours later still nothing. I called back again. Someone answered quickly and after a short call arranged for a service person to come out in a few days.Fast forward a few days and the serviceman arrives. Hes clearly never seen this kind of oven. He calls Dacor and talks to their troubleshooting department. They decide the motherboard is bad and reorder. Well, its been 10 days. *crickets*. There is no sense of urgency... In fact nobody even seems to care that my $7500.00 oven doesnt work and the microwave literally cant even pop popcorn. I would expect the company to rush delivery of the part. If need be replace the whole oven and figure out what is wrong with the motherboard on your own time. What I didnt expect is for literally everyone involved in the process of choosing and buying the appliance to not be able to find a solution. I give my new oven 1 star out of 10, because it looks nice. Id rather have an oven that doesnt have a smart feature and actually works. FAIL Dacor.

When my husband and I built our home 11 years ago, I splurged and got a Dacor ERD36 36 dual fuel range. During the process of our build, our builder dropped my range during the installation. Dacor was very quick to send out a servicer to make sure the performance of the range was not compromised. The only thing that needed to be replaced was a bent bullnose in the front and the kickplate. I have had one service call in 11 years, which was last year after a brownout in my neighborhood caused my clock and oven setting to go crazy. It had nothing to do with function and had nothing to do with shoddy manufacturing. I just got it fixed and continue to use my range every day. I am looking to expand my island because I need another oven and I am very excited to add a Dacor oven to my home with zero hesitation. I am looking at a DO130S. I would buy Dacor over and over again!

We purchased the Model MOH130S in 2006 from a very reputable distributor of high-end appliances. In 2009 we required a service call to deal with temperature control. The oven was out by more than 40 degrees Fahrenheit. This resulted in a relay board, item 101559, to be replaced. Dacor was nice enough to cover the cost of the board, but not the cost of the $152.00 service call. In 2013, guess what? Relay board, this time out by more than 50 degrees, item # 101559 required replacement again only this time it was not covered and cost of $628.00. Here we are, 2016 waiting for the service provider again as temperature is out by over 60 degrees. Roasts, Turkeys, Chickens and everything else have been dying slow deaths in this unit and are awaiting yet another bill to deal with temperature control. Dacor will do nothing until another $150 service call confirms the problem. Hmmm! What to do?

Warning: Warning, safety hazzard for all, adults and children. Recommendation: The knobs should be set on the top of the stove, not the front where children can reach. Control knobs should click when fire and gas is turned off, and highest flame setting should be at the end of the turn just like a clock. I inherited this range as new owner of the house. Today I used the high flame option of the gas stove. When I was done with cooking, I turned off the gas according to the knob position, front of the turn. Later I discovered the range was not exactly off. It was still hot but no flame could be seen.I checked by sight the control knob position, it was set incorrectly in off. Then I touched it and realized the knob actually has a bit more to go to the end, slightly before the off position. Therefore it continues to release gas with unobservable flame. This knob does not click when user turns it to the off position. It is just a silent knob with an inaccurate cue of a heavier black line for off and on indication. Besides, high flame setting comes at the beginning of the turn of the knob rather than the end, it is counter intuitive to our mind of increase heat by turning the knob further on, like our clock. Oven racks are hard to put back after cleaning. Once a rack almost tumble out while food was sitting on it.

The technician has done everything they can and it has been four months and Dacor is not responding to fix the issue as its a Dacor problem not a technician problem. (Its a control interface issue, the relay board communicating with machine is not working properly.) I have done my own investigation and they do not reply to customer service e-mails, there is no phone number to talk to someone who could help, just a receptionist who says after 7 years we dont fix Dacor. Also installed two under the counter warming drawers - nothing but problems and repair expense. Now we need a small $25 part - a cooling fan with motor that is faulty. Was informed the part is no longer available - customer service told me well, it is 10 years old. Really? I have a Dacor 27 inch wall (model EOR) oven which I bought 2 years ago, along with a micro and a warming drawer. Since then, the control panel has been replaced twice. Both times because, after using the timer mode, the beeper would come on at all hours of the day and night. In both instances, I had to cut the power to the oven until the replacement part arrived. I am presently waiting for the third panel to arrive. Today I needed to bake something, so I turned the power to the oven back on. Now it will only function at 350 degrees and only in the bake mode. No other numbers can be put in and nothing happens when I select convection. So far Dacor has absorbed the cost of the parts and repairs, but that does not mitigate the hassle of having to wait upwards of 2 months for a part each time this happens.

My wife and I purchased a new Dacor dishwasher, new Dacor range and new Dacor microwave oven. Unfortunately, the dishwasher never worked and were now going through the process of getting the unit repaired. A repair technician was sent out and discovered a new CPU was needed. Then once the CPU was installed, a new circulatory pump was needed. And finally, once the circulatory pump can in, the unit still doesnt work. Weve had the technician in four separate times (installation, tech inspection, CPU install, and circulatory install) and each visit is approximately one week between visits. Yes, were now going on four weeks without a dishwasher that we paid for. Beyond that, someone needs to be home each time they visit. So now Im without a dishwasher for four weeks and I have to take four days off of work so a technician cannot fix my dishwasher. When I called Dacor customer service and asked for a temporary unit until mine is fixed, they simply stated we dont do that. Dacor may be a premium appliance manufacturer but they do not have a premium customer service department. So buyer beware, if your unit has any problems Dacor will not rush, hurry or try to accommodate you. Now, we just had it fixed and our new clock that was installed into the oven is running fast. After just being fixed, it takes 20 minutes to heat up to 400. Honestly, it always has been that way. We’re not happy with it at all. We bought a Sears brand oven for our church, and it works great, and the cost was only a third of what we paid for the Dacor oven. I purchased my first Dacor appliances in 1991, built a second house in 2005 and again purchased Dacor double ovens and a cooktop. Loved them! Remodeled my current home and again purchased the double ovens and a cooktop. The double oven, DTO230FS, which was installed in November 2015, 4 years ago, stopped working. I was roasting asparagus and we smelled what seemed to be burning plastic. The oven is used about 4 times a month, I have never used the self cleaning feature therefore it is surprising that it broke. The repairman said that the relay board was bad and will need to order the part. He estimates that it will be $600 to fix it. Sad that I need to incur the repair cost of an oven that is only 4 years old.

When I bought my house, the previous owners told me that theyd been having problems with the Dacor oven. They had purchased a replacement burner and prepaid the Dacor authorized service technician to install it for us. We have worked for three years now to get Dacors authorized service representative to install the part for which he has already been paid, and have been using a toaster oven to prepare meals for a family of four the entire time. The oven will heat to 135 degrees, then either shut off completely or immediately switch to broiling mode and burn whatever is inside it. When I called Dacor to see if they could help with the service issue since the technician was authorized by them, they told me it was my problem, not theirs. Although if the product they manufactured wasnt faulty in the first place, it wouldnt be anyones problem!

I bought DCM24S DACOR 1.5 CU CONVECTION MICROWAVE-SS and after few months of using this product its banded on the back wall of the microwave that supposedly resulted from improper turntable placement which caused the turntable tray to make contact with the back of the oven. The quality of the product is very poorly, dont buy Dacor product!
