Stove came with a twelve-month warranty, and the oven failed to heat at thirteen months. It cost more for repairs than the stove originally cost - but at least we had home warranty coverage. Still had the $100 deductible.

I purchased a Frigidaire stove oven combo from Lowe’s. Within 3 weeks, we realized with the oven set at only $350, it made the top front of the unit so hot it would burn. Upon calling Lowe’s, they suggested we call the service number for the manufacturer. I was on hold for so long. When I finally got help, they told me it was normal that the oven vented there. The other vent is back by the left burner. However, that area never got hot. So she said the warmer top front was within the manufacturing guidelines. I asked if they would just send out a repair man to verify nothing was wrong. She refused and said I would have to pay for any call myself. If I had little children, having this unit in their home would have been considered abuse. Here I am only two years later and last night when setting the oven at 425 it began burning and smoked out the entire kitchen. Never buy Electrolux products either as they own Frigidaire. And yes I tried to contact their customer service for help and that number was disconnected!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANYS BRANDS! I have a Frigidaire french door refrigerator that I bought new four years ago. I did not purchase the extended warranty and during the first year, I had at least two service calls for the unit not cooling. After the warranty period, the freezer would frost over and actually had ice build up inside the drawer that required I do a manual defrost.I came home from a trip and the temp in the refrigerator was at 67 degrees but the freezer was still working. The appliance repair tech that came to evaluate the unit said that both computers on the unit were not functioning and the repair was going to be ~ $500. He ordered the computers and when he came back, he pulled out the unit to check the freon and the back of the refrigerator was rusted. Its a known issue with Frigidaire and he called them to explain the issue so I filed a ticket to see what they would do for me. The options were that they would possibly replace it or pay a reasonable amount to me based on depreciation. I was told by the rep at the call center that the refrigerator was under a do not repair order so it should be repaired. After 10 days of waiting for the company to evaluate the unit, their final offer was a 25% rebate on another model. Ive been out several hundred dollars and am going to be out another $500 for computers on a unit that they know is defective or $1300 to replace the refrigerator. Im just going to bite the bullet and repair the thing vs. buying another piece of crap Frigidaire and be out approximately $1300 with the rebate that they offered. Really not good customer service that you admit the unit is defective and issue a do not repair order but dont back up your appliances. The builder put Frigidaire in my home, Stove, Microwave, Dishwasher but I guarantee you that as they fail, it wont be Frigidaire or any GE brand that will replace them. SHAME on YOU.

I purchased a new Frigidaire Gallery refrigerator and had it delivered in January of 2016. I bought it through Best Buy and the delivery was an absolute nightmare. Right away there were issues. I ordered a model with black exterior and received one that was grey and was told that the model I purchased was no longer offered in black. I agreed to keep the model that had been shipped. From the beginning the unit made a lot of unusual noise. Within the first year the water and cubed ice indicator lights quit working and the ice maker would freeze up so much in the back that the auger couldn’t turn to dispense the ice. Every couple of months I would shut the ice maker off and the ice would thaw and water would run out and down the front of the refrigerator door. It seemed to function better through the warmer months of the year. In December of 2017 the ice maker stopped working altogether. I recently called a local repair company to come out and take a look at it. I was told by the repairman that the problems that I am having stem from a flaw in the design of this particular model and that Frigidaire is well aware of that. They build a moisture barrier kit to replace the design flaw in the back of the unit. This flaw causes moisture to continuously build around the water lines, the fan, and the ice maker and it freezes causing the ice build up and malfunction of the cooling fan for the ice maker. This inevitably led to the electronic panels failing. I have been quoted by him at just over 800.00 to repair all items with no guarantee that it won’t happen again. I paid nearly 2500.00 for the refrigerator with two years of use and I’m facing an 800.00 repair with no guarantee of a repeat problem. I contacted Frigidaire to ask if they would at least be willing to assist in offsetting some of the repair cost. I asked them why, knowing that a problem existed so much so to create a repair kit, did they not contact consumers to offer this repair kit before problems like mine came about? They had no good answer for me. They have offered to send me the sweat kit that they claim fixes the moisture build up but are not willing to assist me with any further parts or repairs. So, here I sit stuck with a 2500.00 two year old refrigerator that requires 800.00 in repairs with no guarantee that it won’t happen again. Quality product and customer satisfaction is clearly a thing of the past.

Bought this in July 2017. Tho is is the style that has the freezer in the bottom. The first thing that broke was the visual temp lights. They just quit working one day. Next, the freezer handle is falling off. Next, it states the water filter last so many gallons or replace every 6 months. We are retired, no children, no one but us two. We must spend $72.00 every 4 months. This is pure junk. I wish I had my old Kitchen Aide back.

Brand new Frigidaire Gallery Dishwasher that retails in 2021 for $719 went bad after only 3 months in brand new home! After 3 months whole computer motherboard had to be replaced as well as new pump! This was clearly a lemon and it was only under warranty for 1 year. During the 2nd year, continual problems with pump mechanism and computer motherboard that had to be fixed and wasnt cheap. Today I called Frigidaire (03/16/2021) and spoke to agent Ethan 3:40 PM ET who told me there was nothing that could be done by Frigidaire, that Id have to call my own repairman at my expense. This appliance is clearly a lemon. In fact, when the Frigidaire service repairman came to fix the motherboard and pump when it was under warranty, he said hed never buy one! My advice: DONT EVER BUY A FRIGIDAIRE APPLIANCE!!!

In May of this year I purchased one of this refrigerators for use in my own home. It arrived with a cracked fruit/vegetable drawer, and I called to have a new one shipped over. I had to do this twice before I received a drawer that was not cracked before arriving at my home. Recently, one of the 1/2 gallon door bins developed another large crack. This time, calling their customer service I was told that such an issue was outside their warranty terms (since it was not akin to a failed motor, leaking coolant system, etc.). Things like bins, trays, & handles are only covered by a 30-day policy. I was informed that I could order a new bin from them for $42 (plus shipping, I assume).Overall, I have mixed feelings regarding my experience with this refrigerator & with Frigidaire. The fridge keeps a stable temperature and so does its basic job, but many of the components (drawers, bins) appear to be of poor construction quality as they are made of plastic that is too thin and are therefore brittle. Their warranty policy seems to be specifically designed with this in mind, so as to minimize the companys responsibility for their own penny-pinching.

I would prefer no stars but unfortunately I was not given that option! I will never again purchase anything made by Frigidaire or their partners. I bought a stop top from them when we built our house 12 years ago. After 7 or 8 years, one of the switches broke. There was no problem with this. But when we called to get the replacement part ($123 plus S&H), what they sent us was not the original part. It had been replaced by a very poor quality universal part. I called to tell them that this part would not last and that I was sure it would break again. Their customer service department gave us no options! Well, a couple of years later, the part did indeed break again. We called CS again and was told that they would be glad to sell us another switch and that a repair technician would have to come and replace it. We would have to pay for that charge as well. After much hassle on the phone, they finally agreed to have him come out at no charge to us, because they thought we were not placing the switch in correctly and that was surely the reason it broke! Well, once again, the switch has broken. Our only recourse is to buy a 3rd switch for another $123 plus S&H. I have several issues with Frigidaire in regards to this issue! First, only one person that I spoke to today even tried to be helpful. I was transferred to multiple people and all of them seemed to be confused as to what they were supposed to be doing. They obviously do not understand what customer service really is. They kept asking me what I wanted from them. I told them the problem again and again and asked for a permanent solution to a very expensive problem! After replacing this switch 3 or 4 times, I could buy a new stop top! Not one person offered to send a new part out for free because of this being an on-going problem! Now, that would have gotten a raving fans review! I understand that they dont want to sell me replacement parts. They want to sell me a new stove top! But that is not what I expect from a company that advertises their products as top of the line and high in performance etc. Secondly, it is a crying shame for them to charge $123 for a small switch that probably cost them $5 or $10 to make! That is price gouging if I have ever heard of it. And the last time I checked, price gouging is illegal! I am so disappointed in this company and it is very unfortunate, because overall, I love the stovetop. When it has to be replaced however, it will definitely not be replaced with another Frigidaire product! I am curious to know if other people have had problems with this replacement switch (part no. 318078200)! This is the first time I have ever rated an experience with such negativity, but this has been the most frustrating situation! By the way, I found the switch on www.knobshopper.com for $29. Now what does that tell you?

He said that Frigidaire should cover THIS repair. but with the same part number as what just failed? So in 9 months it will be another $400? I bought the Professional line of Frigidaire products in February 2012. They are poorly constructed. The seal around the door shredded apart; it had to be replaced. When you push the ice button, the ice doesnt stop coming out when you take the cup away, and the ice ends up on the floor. The ice maker is very loud. When you pull out the vegetable bin on the bottom, it hits the door. The cooktop is made with poor quality stainless steel and scratches easily. I use a soft sponge or paper towel and it scratches. The center high boil burner shuts down when you try to lower the flame. The dishwasher doesnt work too well either. The dishes are always wet and sometimes not clean. The door is very flimsy. The wall oven is terrible. When the heat is at 400 degrees, smoke comes out of it. I hope it doesnt cause a fire. What I didnt know when I bought the products is that they subcontract repairs to an appliance repair place. They do not have their own servicemen. Consequences are that I am stuck with these awful products. This is garbage and shame on Frigidaire for selling this product. Dont buy it.

I purchased this unit in May 2016. Immediately, the dryer started with a screeching noise when it heated up. I have had 3 repair companies out 8 times since May and replaced everything possible in the dryer part and it still has the same noise when heated. When talking to anyone in the corporate office whether it be the person answering the phone or a supervisor, they have approached the concerns with apathy. I was even told by one repair company that Frigidaire would just stall until I give up.Basically, the consumer is at the mercy of the manufacturer and how they interpret the necessity of replacing a unit. I even have the noise issue on video and it doesnt seem to create any concerns to them. This company has no integrity at all. If they treat their employees like they treat the people that are purchasing their crappy products, its no wonder they are apathetic. Consumer protection agency should take note of sketchy companies like this and shut them down. Warranties arent worth the paper they are written on.

Purchased Frigidaire gas wall oven model FFGW2415QS Serial AF71303898 on 4/24/2017 at Home Depot. Oven stopped working 4/30/2018. Have contract with our gas co, they installed igniter. Stopped working 5/15/2019, another igniter installed 5/19, 2 months later stopped again, this time they installed Frigidaire igniter. Oven stopped working 6/30/20 another igniter installed 8/20, stopped again, installed a valve, 2 weeks later stopped again, another igniter. Stopped working 12/25 while cooking Xmas dinner. Had repair here today, they ordered wire & new panel. Advised if this doesn’t work contact mfg. I have called at least 15 times, sent 4 emails, only response I received was to purchase a new service contract! Today I chatted with a Christa, she wants service records which I called for already, however, I asked to chat with a manager. Brandi came on, she is manager of Digital Team, wants records of service calls. Understand, but to get sarcastic on chat. Seven (7) service calls in less than 3 years. Five during pandemic, that was reason why I tried to wait for service. The oven is not used every day, never in summer as grill is used for everything. Reason why calls are so high per Brandi not fully staffed due to covid. Meanwhile consumer has difficulty trying to address our problems.

My husband and I purchased all new Frigidaire Gallery Appliances on 3-22-2014. On August 5, 2018 the compressor went out on the refrigerator with no warning at all. It had not been running warm, it was not making any noises, the freezer just shot up to 34 degrees and the next morning the refrigerator was at 59 degrees. This is at minimum an $800.00 repair. We did not purchase the extended warranty, it would have been past the time of use anyway. In speaking to customer service at Frigidaire their only response was they will make note of my dissatisfaction with the product she also commented had I purchased the warranty this would have been covered since you have up to 13 years after you buy a product from Frigidaire to get one. Clearly, this company does not care about customer service or making a top notch appliance. The dishwasher died after months requiring a $275.00 repair. We will never purchase another Frigidaire appliance!

If I could give them a negative star I definitely would. I began replacing the appliances in my kitchen with Frigidaire about 5 years ago. I had problems with the refrigerator. Thank goodness it was covered under warranty, the condenser or something had to be replaced. I also had problems with the water in the door of the freezer. The paddle broke twice. The first time they sent me a new one to replace it.The real issue is the Frigidaire stove. This past Saturday night My husband woke me up about 12:30 am. The house was full of thick white smoke that burned our lungs and eyes. My 83 year old mother lives with us. We determined there was no fire just smoke. We began clearing the smoke out of the house. We then noticed a skillet on the stovetop smoking. The knobs were all turned to off but the stove had cooked that skillet. Its a wonder it didnt catch my house on fire.I contacted Frigidaire this morning. At first they told me it was not on the recall list and they could send me to an authorized repair person. After insisting to talk to someone else, I got Tiffany a corporate representative. She also advised it was not on the recall list. She did offer me 50% off repair. I actually laughed. I said your appliance came on by itself, almost killed me, my husband and my mother, could have burned my house down and you are going to offer me 50% off fixing it? I will never buy another Frigidaire and will do as much as possible to keep anyone else from buying Frigidaire. The offer to fix my problem was definitely not even close to what they should have done.

I purchased all new appliances for our kitchen 3 years ago. We bought the professional series 2 door refrigerator with the bottom freezer, the professional dishwasher, the professional cooktop, the professional double oven and the gallery convection/microwave with the ventless hood.. We have had continual issues with the double oven model number fpet3077rfa. Initial install the motherboard and fans burned and almost caught our house on fire. Then we used the self cleaning mode a few months later and the upper oven had several failures and took over 2 months to get it properly repaired. Now both ovens do not cook food evenly. The back half will be burned and the front half will not be fully cooked. Two weeks ago our convection/microwave model number fgmv154clfa completely stopped working. It is not the breaker and there is power to the unit. We have called a service company but they are two weeks out before they can make it here. Our refrigerator is making strange noises and with all we have had to deal with it is overwhelming. We spent a lot of money getting what we thought was quality, top of the line appliances that would last us 10 years plus and they have been problems since day 1. We will not purchase Frigidaire products again.C.

Six months ago, I purchased a complete Frigidaire kitchen from Comeaux Furniture in New Orleans. Early last week, the freezer went out and the temperature rose to 77 degrees before the authorized service repairman arrived. Four days later, the refrigerator side went out also and the temperature rose to 70 degrees. The authorized service repairman said the mother board went out, and it would take a week for the new part to arrive. Its now been two weeks without a working refrigerator or freezer in my house with four kids. And the only thing Frigidaire is willing to offer me is $50 for food, and an additional six months of warranty. I lost about $500 in food and have to eat out every night because of their defective product. I believe that the proper thing to do would be to allow the dealer to pick up this defective unit and replace it with another one. This could have been done in one day instead of two plus weeks. Frigidaire or Comeaux Furniture will not stand behind their products. I would never recommend either one of them.

The Frigidaire FFGC3626SS 5 pilot gas range is very pretty and I like everything about it - EXCEPT - The knobs started breaking within a month of installation and all 5 knobs broke 3X within the first year. I was given two free sets, but now, since it is a few weeks past 1yr from purchase (but within 1 year of actual installation & use). I am being offered new knobs at $17.00 each (the full price is $75.00 each for PLASTIC knobs). There is no warranty on the new knobs. The Frigidaire website is FULL of 1 star reviews due to these knobs breaking. Apparently, the heat from the range makes the stems on the knobs brittle & the stems snap & making the knobs completely useless. I did not buy the extended warranty - One reviewer stated that the knobs are not covered by it anyway, but I havent confirmed that. I am down to 1 working knob on a 14 month old gas range. BTW, the size is unique & hard to fit with universal knobs from other makers. Run Away from Frigidaire Range Tops!!!

Had to take off work again to meet repairman and to have him tell me he needs more parts and needs to come out again on 7/11/2015 to then tell me he cant fix it after 3 1/2 hours. The whole time that I talked to Frigidaire they did not care that I lost everything in my refrigerator (approx $200) or that I didnt have a refrigerator at all for the last 10 days. They still have to review whether they are even going to replace it. $1000 refrigerator lasted 7 1/2 months? What has happened to FRIGIDAIRE? They used to be the brand I sought out to buy.

Frigidaire gas range - One of the burners burns way too high and hot. The manual says it can be adjusted. I had 2 service calls for this issue. Both servicemen said it was by design and there was nothing wrong with it. What??? It does not have a low setting, I cannot use this burner and it is the largest one! Frigidaire uses a third party service, AE Factory Service in Texas. Im Im Maine, they have no idea who they are sending and they dont care. Also bought was a refrigerator, and the if maker is a nightmare. The service man said, I should never buy a refrigerator with an ice maker, they never work right. He didnt bother to try to fix it. I have had this appliance for nearly a year, Dec. 30, 2015. Due to illness have not got around to voicing my complaints. This unit was highly praised by the sales man at Coast Appliances, Langley. As there are only the 2 of us to wash for I believed this unit would be ideal for space & efficiency. We cleaned & replaced any of the dryer venting before installation. I think I have given the unit a fair run & can say I am totally dissatisfied with its performance. The dryer will only dry a load on high heavy duty & then it must be full. I cannot dry a smaller load on any setting. Sometimes a small load will take 2 hours to dry. The washer tears clothing, I use tide pods & cleaner as recommended & find that wet clothes often come out with lint stuck to them even a load of delicates that do not contain lint, so I have to sponge lint of many items before I dry them. I also clean the washer & dryer after each load as recommended in the user manual. I am totally disenchanted with this unit that was to be my last washer dryer after 50 plus years of doing laundry. I would not recommend this brand to my friends. Thank you for your attention to, my concerns.

We purchased a Frigidaire kitchen package brand new from Menards. Frigidaire warranty doesnt cover anything purchased after the first year. Right out of the box we had a crack in our first dishwasher but didnt notice until we ran a few loads and it leaked water all over our flooring and sub flooring. Frigidaire did ship us a new dishwasher, but we had to pay for the additional installation charge. Fast forward a year and the inside glass on our oven door exploded for no apparent reason. We were baking potatoes in the oven when the inside glass exploded. We bake maybe once a month. This oven has barely been used when this happened. Appliance repair companies are quoting $300-$400 for this repair. Two of our four appliances failed in under 2 years. Very unsatisfied. The lady over the phone had the nerve to tell me thats what extended warranties are for. She was rude and condescending. Im definitely never buying frigidaire again.

While our Frigidaire FGID2474QF built in dishwasher never cleaned well from the beginning (purchased February 2015), during Christmas week of 2019 it produced an error code i30 and would not stop running until my husband pulled the plug. In checking online we found this is a common complaint the company has not addressed. Based on other owners feedback and our experience that it never cleaned well, we feel it is not worth trying to repair. I will never purchase a Frigidaire product again. Wish it were possible to give it zero stars!!

I purchased a Frigidaire refrigerator in Oct 14 for my man cave. The reason was for the ice. The ice maker has frozen up on me 3 times, April 15 (under warranty), April 16 and the last time December 16. I paid to have it repaired in April 16. So after the third time I thought I would try the factory again, yea right. Was just told that it is not unusual for this to happen and as far as they were concerned, the product is out of warranty. We have a GE Profile at the house that is approximately 9 years old and have never had a problem. I need the ice so I think I will go get another GE refrigerator and set this one on the curb with a FREE sign on it. I will also start telling everyone I know or dont know, as I walk down the aisle at Lowes, that you really dont want to be purchasing this product because if you read the other reviews, Frigidaire should be recalling this model of refrigerator.

We purchased over $4,000 of new appliances when we remodeled our kitchen in 2010. At the time, Frigidaire was the only company that produced a smudge proof stainless counter depth refrigerator. This is by far the worst buying decision I have ever made after buying appliances for 40 years. The dishwasher racks and the stainless front panel began to rust at 3 years old. The refrigerator never ever cooled properly causing to lose produce to freeze and spoil. The temperature constantly fluctuates, consequently, your temperature control does absolutely no good. If you lower the temperature to keep products like milk, butter, jellies, etc., at 37 degrees the produce compartments go below 32 degrees. We just paid a $430 repair bill for a new control board and we still have the same cooling issues. There is most definitely a design flaw with this refrigerator! The microwave had to be replaced due to failure. It simply stopped at 4 years old. The slide in stove has not caused any problems except for cleaning the glass top surface which requires more work than the floors. Everyone that reads this review should believe every word and please take my advice... STAY AWAY FROM FRIGIDAIRE!!!

In late November 2015, we remodeled our kitchen and purchased a complete suite of Frigidaire Gallery appliances. We couldnt install the dishwasher until the granite countertops had been fitted so the dishwasher went in last, a few days before Christmas. As soon as it had been plumbed in (at a cost of $120 by our Lowes kitchen fitter), a 15 minutes rinse cycle lasted three hours. I switched it off and reset the machine. Another 25 minutes cycle last four and a half hours. I called Frigidaire and they said that they couldnt get anyone out until January 2016! I called HHGregg who said that its not their normal policy but they would order us a new one, but we had to pay for it over the phone, return the old one to the store (a 64 mile round trip), and then we would get a refund on the original one. So 64 miles later, we had another dishwasher, which my husband had to install, since the kitchen fitter wouldnt come back without another charge. In February, I noticed that the side-by-side refrigerator was dropping temperature on the fridge side. It went from 38F to 14F, up and down wildly, then it would settle back at 38F, then the freezer would start to defrost. In the middle of this, we lost endless amounts of food as it completely froze in the refrigerator and defrosted food in the freezer. Customer service at Frigidaire was dreadful and they would not even guarantee that someone would call you to make an appointment for a further two business days. By this time the fridge went back to its normal temperature. I eventually got them to give me the local Frigidaire repair man and I dealt with him directly. Over period of a month or so, every time he was scheduled to come the fridge worked correctly, then froze everything in sight. Finally, we got it fixed. The damper hadnt been installed correctly and we were a filter missing. Were now holding our breath waiting for the stove or microwave to break down. I will never buy Frigidaire appliances nor will I recommend them.

Beware Frigidaire Gallery 22.6 Cu. Ft. French door counter-depth - I purchased this fridge on March 15, 2012. It took delivery a week or two later. It is a beautiful fridge, which does not leave fingerprints on the front except on the handles. The counter depth is nice. However, the fridge stopped cooling properly on September 5th, not quite to the 6 months’ mark. The thermostat and possibly the compressor both failed. Fortunately, still under warranty. Unfortunately, Frigidaire does not contract with the larger, easier to get appointments and faster repair companies. I live in a large metro area and had 4 choices. Two of which are several counties away from me. So now 12 days after the repairman was finally able to come to diagnose, they are waiting on parts and I am now 16 days into no fridge and taking my family out for all meals. First visit, they diagnosed the fan unit and the thermostat. It took 7 days to get parts. When they installed those, they found that the door sensor is faulty. Now waiting on more parts. I also bought the matching dishwasher, hopefully not the same issues. I would recommend you purchase an extended warranty, which I will, but through a third party sufficiently able to provide proper service in your area. Im most annoyed that my Kenmore/Whirlpool fridge that this replaced never once had an issue in the 11 years I used it. It was just no longer a good fit in the remodeled kitchen. My favorite part of this entire thing - On Frigidaires website, they allow you to rate their products and post them. They send you an email asking you to click a link to confirm your review, only the link doesnt work! Funny. I wonder if I rated it 5 stars if the link would magically work.

The appliance store had a special if you bought all Frigidaire appliances. Big mistake!! Within 1 year the dryer, washer, and dishwasher all broke. Frigidaire fixed them under warranty. Within the second year the dryer, washer, and dishwasher all broke again. This time the repair bill was going to be on us and not cheap. We decided to replace all 3 appliances with Maytag and Kitchenaid. We have never had a problem with these brands.Fast forward to 4.5 years later and our Frigidaire refrigerator caught fire! Had to call fire department. The compressor caught fire and all the electrical is burned up. We have on order a new refrigerator from GE. Never will I ever buy a Frigidaire appliance again!!! Only 2 appliances havent broken, Oven and microwave. I cant wait for the micro to break because the hood vent sounds like a jet airplane when using it. Has from day one but it does work.

We purchased a top of the line Frigidaire Microwave 6 months ago. A few weeks ago I put the timer on and was out of the room for about 10 minutes. I was not using any heating component of the unit. When I returned to the kitchen it was smoking and all the plastic parts inside had melted. I had to unplug it to turn it off. Ok bad but the house didnt burn down. So contact Frigidaire and they will replace it, right? Nope. Sent out a repair person about a week later who would not accommodate our work schedule to say we can fix it. Ok, that was 2 weeks ago and they called to say we will be there Thursday between 10 am and 1 pm to fix it. Called them to say I could not be here then, I am a teacher in the middle of exams!!! Not deserting my students for a microwave I didnt break! So anyway the woman was very rude and said to call Frigidaire and tell them how I refused to accommodate them... My husband called the repair service and asked them to please find a time that works and they said no. He called Frigidaire back and they said, Oh they dont have the parts yet, please tell me why they were going to come last Thursday if they Dont have the parts... Anyway microwave still broken, no end in sight and a terrible experience.

My microwave at home is an OTR from Frigidaire. 1 month out of mfg warranty
My microwave at home is an OTR from Frigidaire. 1 month out of mfg warranty, it stopped working in the middle of cooking some steam-fresh veggies on July 23rd. I called the service dept and they had me purchase a 1 year extended warranty for about $30 and then created a service tech visit for me. A few days later, I got an email saying the service visit was scheduled for August 27th (more than 30 days!). I called and asked if there would be anything shorter than 30+ days and was reassured that Frigidaire would find a new date that wasnt so far out as they agreed it was a very long wait time. I never got a call back on that and never got a new service window or scheduled time.So Aug 27th came and I called Frigidaire again to make sure this was still scheduled in the system because I never got any confirmation call in the week leading up to the appointment. I was assured this service visit was still scheduled, so my husband stayed home from work all day to wait for the technician. The service tech never showed up (I called them every hour during their 8 AM - 5 PM window and they never answered or returned my voicemails). So I called Frigidaire back and they said they would try to get another service tech scheduled. The next day, I got a call back and was told they couldnt find a service tech, so they would do a product exchange and I would get the details within 2 days.So this morning, it had been 2 days and I still hadnt heard about the exchange details, so I called Frigidaire back. They told me that they will have the ticket for review for 6-8 business days and they will let me know on September 10th if they are able to find a new service tech or if they will do the exchange AND they said that if they do the exchange, I will now be responsible to pay the delivery and installation fees. So it will be 49 days from my initial issue before I find out what the (hopefully) final resolution will be. I was told by the supervisor on this last call that she firmly believes this is a good customer service practice.

About 18 months ago, we purchased a Frigidaire Professional Double Convection Oven, a matching Microwave/Hoodfan and a matching Warming Drawer from Sears. Total cost was about $6000 as I recall. All four of the (no name) bulbs in the ovens failed within three months of very limited use, suggesting to me that Frigidaire/Electrolux were using cheap and nasty bulbs of unspecified make which were not fit for the intended purpose. I replaced them all with bulbs from Noma and not one of the four Noma ones has failed since.About 10 months ago, we carried out the recommended self-clean cycle, following which the top oven would not come up to temperature. Sears service was called, took up my time removing the oven from its cabinet and replaced the thermal trip/breaker which is located in an absurdly inaccessible place at the back and behind the oven for a (resettable!) trip. Sears wisely decided to fit a new trip rather than just resetting the original one. Then, about three weeks ago, we noticed that the enamel is failing on the bottom of the top oven casing, clearly the result of faulty manufacturing. It has fallen off in several places. I contacted Sears and they claimed that this was cosmetic and not covered by the extended warranty which I had purchased. At my insistence, their service man came out and inspected it and clearly told me that me his view is that this was not cosmetic but is a manufacturing fault. I was party to his end of the telecon he then had with his supervisor, and it was clear that his supervisor was telling him (from 2000 miles away, never having seen the problem at first hand) that as far as Sears was concerned, it was cosmetic and not covered by warranty. Sears made no reference to Frigidaire on the issue. It was clear that the dishonest Sears supervisor was telling his service technician that he was to tell me that the issue was cosmetic, and appeared to be instructing him that that was what he was to write in his report. I spoke to Sears customer Service (a misnomer if ever there was one) and they told me that the service guy had stated in his report that is was a cosmetic issue, not covered. They then told me that they had ordered a replacement casing (in effect recognizing that it needed replacing) and that I would be charged for it. Well, at some point, theyll be asking me for my credit card Number and no way will I ever be giving them that! We carried out another self-cleaning cycle a couple of weeks ago and the top oven once again will not reach the set temperature. Looks like the issue is not the trip at all, but a more fundamental problem. So, but for the fact that we have the second oven, wed have been ovenless again for some weeks. This week, I phoned Sears and told them that after all these issues over 18 months of very limited and very careful usage, I wanted a replacement oven, as I was unprepared to tolerate such an unreliable and poorly-manufactured product and could not devote yet more of my valuable time to dealing with yet more service calls. They have declined to agree to that.Today, I contacted Frigidaire/Electrolux in Misssauga and spoke to some creature whose English was barely understandable and who basically told me that the whole matter was one for Sears, not Electrolux. I found him obstructive, unhelpful and unworthy of a customer service position. There was no recognition that any of these issues were in any way the responsibility of Frigidaire/Electrolux as the manufacturer of the appliance! So, both Sears and Electrolux will now find that they are having to deal with a Scotsman who doesnt tolerate fools gladly, doesnt tolerate so-called customer service as appalling and unreasonable as this and doesnt tolerate being *** to.I am truly appalled at the obstructive, dishonest and unreasonable attitudes of both Sears and Electrolux and currently await a visit from a senior Sears technician, which is being arranged at my insistence. Neither Sears nor Electrolux give a *** for the fact that a customer has spent several thousand dollars on a major name product branded professional (suggesting superior quality and reliability) which is of unmerchantable and unsatisfactory quality. I wouldnt touch another Frigidaire/Electrolux appliance with a bargepole but this issue is far from over. Watch this space!

They will not replace it. Theyve spent way more in parts and service than a new refrigerator would cost. My experience with my Frigidaire Gallery has not been a good one. I purchase a set and paid for extended warranty in 2011. Within my first year of my purchase I have had issues with the refrigerator and stove. The first refrigerator had a recall and I was given another one. Once I received the new one I had to call a tech through ACH a company that was referred by the insurance for any problems with the product. I was paying a monthly fee for the service that only resolved the issue temporarily. After paying for service that wasnt beneficial cost-wise, I canceled. The appliances are not good and doesnt withhold the value at all. I refuse to constantly pay for service on a product that is always in need of repair. As of now my ice maker is NOT working, the dishwasher is NOT working, two of the five burners are NOT working, and last but not least the microwave doesnt get warmer or cook. It just go through the motions of coming on.Im clearly NOT satisfied with the products and know there is nothing that can be done without paying a large amount of money to fix. I would probably come out better buying a whole new set and a different brand. This brand is NOT what it use to be! I am overwhelmed by the reviews. Never thought that this many people had problems and I wish I would have seen this before my purchase. What is even worse is no one had a good experience and the company dont care. What a RIPOFF!!! I cant even submit unless I check one star that I dont want to give. WOW.

I read a lot of reviews before purchasing all new appliances for my kitchen.....Ive been a Frigidaire user in the past and loved the quality of the appliances. I was concerned about some comments on this site, so I investigated other sites and stores. I am extremely happy with the new smudge-proof stainless Professional Series appliances. With 9 grandchildren and a house at the beach these appliances take a beating. Ice maker is amazing....constant ice and quick too!..Range looks and works great...perfect temp rate. Dishwasher is quiet and cleans very well...I got the plastic tub as I always had a problem with wet tub and wet dishes with the stainless interior and I am happy with the choice. Finally, the micro....did have to have service out as soon as we installed...It was due to a loose interior part.....Fixed in 5 minutes by a very professional looking/acting repairman. So, I would recommend the Frigidaire products.....Price is great, products look stylish, and work very well. I did get extended warranty...just in case. Compared with my kids Sub Zero and GE Profile products.......I got the best deal!

I had my Frigidaire appliances installed 1.5 years ago. I bought the four-appliance deal for $1,700 after rebate. Just recently, my oven just stopped working from one day to the next. I literally used it once about 6 months ago. The control panel just went out. I thought it was off because of a power surge in the neighborhood. But I realized that if that was the case, the clock would have turned back on eventually by itself. But it never did. The gas burners work fine. When I called Frigidaire, they said, Sorry, youre no longer under warranty. I asked them to send a tech out at their expense since the stove was only 2.5 years old and this was obviously a defective appliance. They said no. Whats more upsetting is that I had just thrown out my old stove which I held on to for a while because I was worried about buying new appliances. And boy was I right. They just dont make anything like they used to. My old one was over 10 years old and it worked fine. Frigidaire has terrible quality and I would never purchase it again. Oh and my dishwasher doesnt work right either. Thats about $900 down the drain for those two items. Thanks, Frigidaire! Im not even going to bother trying to fix it. Maybe, I can sell it for parts.

My Frigidaire Professional series dishwasher model PLD4375RFC0 started flashing the ER error code this month, exactly 4 years after it was installed new in 2007. It is now unusable and I have to leave the door open slightly because if it is closed, it will turn itself on at random. I have searched the internet and seen others with the same model have the same problem. I researched the parts affected and along with labor, it will be about half the cost of the dishwasher when it was new. I have a Frigidaire microwave, stove, and fridge also and now I am waiting for those to start failing. I will be replacing the dishwasher with another brand in the hope that I can squeeze more than 4 years out of it, but from the way things are made today, who knows.

We purchased our slide-in oven in 2010. Its functioning OK. The faceplate on the control panel is de-laminating and looks unsightly. Unfortunately the faceplate comes only as part of the control panel assembly which costs $378. I contacted Frigidaire online and requested if the face plate could be obtained separately and/or if there was any financial assistance they could provide. Their email declined any financial assistance towards the repair due to the stove being out of warranty and ignored my question about obtaining only the needed faceplate. They suggested I contact customer service which I did and they reiterated that nothing could be done to assist with my issue other than purchase the control panel for $378. Also, the phone number for customer service provided in the email was an automated system that directs you to repair shop based on your zip code. We remodeled a year ago & I deeply regret not reading these reviews prior to buying the complete set of Frigidaire Gallery appliances. Refrigerator - French door - side by side: Ice maker has not worked properly since we have had the Refrigerator. Completely stopped making ice - technician has been out twice - extended delay time in getting parts. Noisiest Refrigerator we have ever had. Now the replacement water filter ($45) will not click into place & neither will the old one. Dishwasher: Again very noisy. Stays stuck in cycle - technician out twice. Doesnt clean as well as previous dishwashers. Serious quality issues. I will not buy Frigidaire products again.

The oven had not been on for over 16 hours. I was across the room when the door exploded (not fell and broke). Small pieces of glass (most about the size of large ice cream salt) covered the floor. I was standing at the cabinet about 4 feet away and it hit my feet and legs. If I had been at home alone, I would have not been able to move since this glass covered the floor. If there had been a small child there, it could have hit them in the face. I realized it is 10 months out of warranty and your company is not going to accept responsibility for the defect in the glass door. Of course, I would like for this to happen since an exploding glass door is obviously a defect. At least, I would ask that you recall this model before someone is seriously injured. How many complaints have you had about this?

Ive never written or voiced a complaint about a product before... but this is the worst company and product that I have ever had the displeasure of experiencing and I feel compelled to warn anyone about to spend thousands of dollars on junk. We upgraded our kitchen with perfectly good functioning appliances and replaced with Frigidaire professional series stainless appliances thinking that the look and functionality would be be an upgrade. We are sad to say that we have had a revolving door with repair-people on ALL appliances... especially poor are the dishwasher and microwave with multi-failures. We purchased our first extended warranty only due to the fact that we know that we are going to need it to manage their poor performing products. (FPHD2491KFO, KPBM189KFC, PHB2899LFB).We thought at first we had a bad luck but in two years the repairman that has repeatedly been to our house replacing two magnetrons in the microwave, pumps in the dishwasher, motherboard in dishwasher, motherboard in stove, not sure what was done to our warm, non-freezing freezer. The repairman said that we unfortunately bought junk and the 8 or so repair visits taught us how to manage our appliances. Examples of how I can better manage my new professional appliances: Dont boil a lot of water on stove. That will eat at the electronics of the motherboard of stove and over the counter microwave both of which have been replaced. Dont use rack in microwave as they are known to fry magnetrons... No advice given after second blown magnetron and no rack in microwave. Dont use liquid dish soap in dishwasher (wont clean dishes). Clean your dishes before putting in dishwasher (to avoid plugging of pump). Only use 1 tablespoon of dry soap in dishwasher... That is all that is needed to clean dishes. Avoid using heat dry in dishwasher to avoid motherboard from frying.Need I say more? These are perfect appliances for you if like to spend thousands of dollars in appliances only to have multi-repair visits, a $700 microwave currently busted, missed work for multi-days to fix new appliances, spend hundreds on warranties to manage faulty products, And have fun dealing with customer service and the warranty division too. Every time you call, it is like you have never called for a warranty claim ever. Youll have to ask them to dig deep to find your appliance issues and they always seem surprised.

I would caution anyone any one who is considering purchasing a Frigidaire product. We purchased a complete Frigidaire Gallery stainless steel set of appliances for our kitchen. In 10 months, we have had issues with every single appliance. It first started with our fridge. The compressor was bad right when we received it. Our appliance vendor replaced it. Afterwards, it also started leaking water on our hardwood floors in our newly built custom house and spoiled all of our groceries. We called Frigidaire to file a complaint and also asked for a food credit to replace the $700 Costco trip we had just put in there. The response was basically, We dont really care and we dont do food credits anymore - read line 22 of your warranty.”When our appliance vendor finally replaced the fridge (what a battle this was), they gave us a free upgrade to a Frigidaire Professional series. Days after delivery, the fridge leaked a ton of water on the floors again. The repairman came and discovered a bad water valve and repaired it. A couple of months later, our microwave started arching. Talk about a scary and dangerous situation. We had yet another repairman out and he fixed it. While fixing it, he shared with us the philosophy of many appliance companies. They basically make cheap stuff and it needs to be fixed often. It’s a sad realization after you spend thousands on appliances. Just recently, we have had our gas range have a gas valve go bad and then our dishwasher flooded our kitchen due to a bad gasket. I have had to fight with the appliance vendor to get them to take our appliances back and allow us to get another line of them. It has been extremely frustrating. I dont even want to see the Frigidaire logo at this point and will never buy anything from them again. I would caution anyone who is considering Frigidaire. I wouldnt take something of theirs even if it was free.

I purchased a front loading Frigidaire washing machine approximately 18 months ago. It came with a one year warranty. Several weeks ago it ceased spinning properly and then not at all. The repairs cost me $348 on a machine that had cost approximately $600 new. It has had no heavy use in the intervening period. I see online that this problem is not uncommon and recommend that anyone considering buying Frigidaire appliances think twice before doing so.

Bought all new Frigidaire appliances for new house in Coeur dAlene, Idaho. Right away the refrigerator broke, making the freezer side super cold and the refrigerator side hot. Model number is FGHC2345LF. Freds Appliance (supplier we bought from) fixed it. This is a vacation home, so we are not there very much. Next time we came out, the same problem. Freds fixed it again (allegedly). This happened 3 more times, for a total of 5 repairs for the same thing, under warranty. They claim they replaced mechanical parts, electrical wiring, circuit boards, etc.Of course, as soon as the warranty expired, the same problem reoccurred and both Frigidaire and Freds Appliance told us to start paying if we wanted it fixed. Paid $583 to repair it. A year later, its broken again. Now they are saying its my fault because we dont use it enough! Seriously! They say it has electrolysis because Im not there with it. We leave the house at 55 degrees in the winter when were not there, and never over 80 in the summer. These are not extreme operating temperatures. Why doesnt the state attorney generals step in? I am going to request assistance from the Idaho BBB and State Attorney General.

After 9 months of frustration and three failed attempts to repair our fridge, Frigidaire replaced our unit with an identical unit. I had to request a supervisor multiple times, but the supervisor was understanding. Immediately when we plugged in the replacement we noticed a difference in the operation making even clearer that our initial unit was a lemon. I also complained on Electrolux and Frigidaires Facebook pages and they sent a $100 gift card to help cover food spoilage. Lowes protection plan also covered $130 for food loss. Since Frigidaire did give us a warranty replacement I updated my rating to 3 stars from 1, but since the process and experience were not what I expected from spending hard earned money we will not be buying another Frigidaire or Electrolux product.

2 years ago I purchased a Frigidaire refrigerator and paid 850.00. I understood it was inexpensive but it was a small apartment sized refrigerator and had no bells, no whistles and so one would assume that the price was right for what you were getting, WRONG. This fridge may as well be a polished **. Just 1 month out of warranty the control board failed, so the freezer and the fridge compartments were warm and the control board just flashed. I paid to replace the control board with a new OEM from the manufacturer board, and this part cost me 200.00 But now just yesterday 7 months later the control board stopped working again and did exactly what the original one did. We are 5 days to Christmas and me without and once again without our Frigidaire fridge. 1,050.00 invested now in a small fridge and its just a stainless steel polish on a **.

Purchased a new Frigidaire Gallery Dishwasher. Leaked from Day 1. Frigidaire sent a serviceman to replace the door gaskets. Still leaks. Notified them that it was still leaking. Volunteer Appliance Service who was sent by Frigidaire gave us the run around for weeks then got rude when we could not be available when they wanted to come back to replace the same parts they had already replaced. So Volunteer refused to do the repair and called Frigidaire. So Frigidaire called us to let us know they had VOIDED the warranty on the month old dishwasher and said it would be another 3 weeks or month to have it repaired. They offered NO customer service to us - their customer and defended the rude and inefficient behavior of the repair company. We will never purchase a Frigidaire appliance again and would advise others to choose another brand.

Jeff Lynch took same attitude. The tech said he can touch up burn marks. We had Maytag Microwave for over fifteen years and it had rack and turn rack. Used it exactly same way. Never arch. They sent in a technician, he ordered the part. Ten days later he came and put the part. Everything is well so far then I start receiving calls from the company that fixed the range, they didnt get paid. I called Frigidaire extended warranty and what a surprise they want me to pay $25 more for them to honor the warranty. They said that they didnt charge enough in the beginning of the contract, and the contractor will keep calling me at work and on my cell until I paid them. All my attempts to explain to them that we paid what they want us to pay and that I still have the invoice, to no avail. The contractor was calling sometimes six to seven times a day at work mostly until we paid them the $25. These people acted like the mob, you pay us or else, even we have a contract that paid fully. The way we have been treated is shameful. I will never buy any Frigidaire product ever.

My appliance repairman came out (on a Saturday) and let me know that a short had occurred in a wire associated with the igniter. He told me to call Frigidaire. I did so. Simply put, the technicians the company hires to do the repairs only work 8-5, Monday thru Friday. Not convenient for people that work full time. There are plenty of technicians in the area that work after hours and weekends. Frigidaire as a company chooses not to pay the technicians that will work convenient hours. Frigidaire Gallery Series purchased in October 2013 are bad. Purchased Dishwasher, Microwave and slide in Oven cost approximately $4300. Today, March 28th, not three months since installed, My Microwave has been pulled off the wall as it has per the service Person a bad magnetron and there are probably more issues. My dishwasher has a bad sprayer arm which doesnt drain before cycle complete causing all the lower clean dry dishes to be soaked all over again. This issue had two service calls and an order for a replacement sprayer arm but still the same issue. As per the service folks, the engineering team has been advised they are looking to correct the issue. The oven grates have rubber tips that melt and now there is constant vibration. A kit is available but it doesnt address the issue. I am now out a microwave. Have to be real careful whenever I am emptying the dishwasher and the stove grates vibrate whenever I turn on the oven. Looking for productive comments. No trash talk. I can do that myself. Yes, I have contacted the Frigidaire website with my warranty issues.

I purchased a Frigidaire 22.2 cu. ft. side by side refrigerator from Best Buy. I have no real complaint with Best Buy or the refrigerator. My issue is with the Frigidaire Parts Department. I called them to obtain the correct part # for the water filter as the time to order light was on. The woman in the Parts Department gave me the part #. As I ordered the water filter from Best Buy. When it arrived I followed the instructions: remove and dispose of old water filter, install new water filter. After the old water filter was thrown away, I attempted to install the new one and it did not fit.I called the Frigidaire Parts Department and spoke with Ashley. I explained what had happened and asked that they comp me a water filter being that they gave me the wrong part # to begin with. Ashley explained to me that because I did not buy it from them they can not comp me the item. As well, as it is a special order item it will not be available for 10-14 days. This I found strange, because after I got the correct part # (hopefully) from Ashley, I ordered it from Amazon for next day delivery. HORRIBLE Customer Service.

I contacted Frigidaire Customer Service and received what looked like a form letter telling me Frigidaire offers very comprehensive warranties with each product to guard against parts that may be defective at the time of manufacture. Needless to say, since it was older than 12 months, there was nothing they were willing to do for me. I am waiting for Frigidaire to deliver a serial tag to me - Im supposed to attach it to a rebate email. I have never received the tag.My belief is that Frigidaire is attempting to get out of replacing the product which has never worked by delaying until it is no longer in warranty. I purchased this microwave to match the Gallery range that I purchased while remodeling my kitchen. Big mistake. Within a few weeks of installation, we noticed that the preset cooking options were not properly calibrated - popcorn didnt pop, oatmeal didnt completely cook, meat wouldnt defrost properly based on the presets. It seemed like the unit was running at about 60-70% of the efficiency it should have. I called Frigidaire numerous times and they said that this is normal, try a different container to cook in, etc. Eventually, I was able to get someone that supposedly was in customer service that dealt with the engineering end of things. They said that a little variation in efficiency is not a big deal. I asked if their acceptable range would allow a microwave to perform at 60-70% of designed efficiency. There was a long pause and a lot of excuse making. They ultimately said that what I was experiencing was within the acceptable range of performance and they said that they would not send out a tech to evaluate the microwave. I called the local rep company and they said that a service call was going to be as much as $125 to troubleshoot the microwave. I called Frigidaire back a few weeks later and the same story. I called Lowes and they refused to help saying it is something that falls on the manufacturer and they refused to make a phone call on my behalf but offered the Frigidaire customer service number. Yesterday - 16 months after installation - 4 months after the warranty expired, it no longer heats anything up.

I have never been so disappointed and angry over a purchase. I recently built my dream home and was very excited. All my appliances are Frigidaire and had always thought it was a solid product. My one yr warranty had come to an end this past May. For several weeks now my dishwasher had not been getting the dishes clean but it would work well enough when run on heavy mode. I do not use it that often so it was more of a bother than anything until I noticed several pieces of wood flooring popping up and realized I had a leak of sorts. The builder came to take a look and we saw that water was pouring out from under the dishwasher. There was mold growing. As luck would have it my ice maker in my Frigidaire freezer stopped working as well. I called Frigidaire and was told I would have to pay for the repairs myself as it 6 months out of warranty. I have such concerns as all my other appliances are made by Frigidaire as well. So now not only are my relatively new appliances not working but I have damage to my new home. All of which I have to pay for because this company did not make a quality product. It is just myself and my daughter who is 7 that live in my home so how much wear and tear can 2 people do in a little over a year. My builder who is one of the largest in this area in NC was disgusted as well by the response from Frigidaire and told me its not the first time he has heard this and will no longer be recommending using them in the homes he builds as he wants to keep his reputation of quality homes. I can only tell people I know to NOT buy products by this company and if you do dont expect them to do the right thing. I had a Kenmore for over 15 years without any problems and I will be replacing my Frigidaire. I understand that things break but when something is so new and has very little wear and tear it is robbery. Now I am left with the repair cost of both as well as the cost of the damage to my new home.

Customer service nightmare. I purchased all new kitchen appliances from Frigidaire back in October. My microwave has broken twice. That is not the good part though. They sent someone out to reinstall the new one and they told me that the screws didnt match up so they could not install it. This was 5 weeks ago. They gave me numbers to call. No one calls me back. I have had to contact Frigidaire who also offers no advice. The truth is that the nuts on top of the microwave are not attached and rolling around loose in the machine. So there is nothing for the bolts to screw into. I have explained this again and again and nobody there understands what nuts are or the purpose of them. Frigidaire cannot wrap their brains around that and keep telling me there is nothing more that they can do. I have had a defective microwave in my kitchen since. Now the imbeciles refuse to call or email me back. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN AND I WILL MAKE A POINT OF TELLING EVERYONE TO BEWARE.

The ice maker has not worked right since we purchased the refrigerator (#FGHB2844LF Model, Serial#4A03006967). We have had 3 repairs, going onto 4 repairs for the ice maker. It continues to breakdown and ultimately water leaks out onto my hardwood floor causing damage to the wood. This is a lemon and Frigidaire will not take this back. So fix my floor damage please and I am very dissatisfied with this model, seems repairmen cant fix it.

I purchased a side by side refrig last year. Purchase date was 9/9/13. I reported the refrig was freezing everything on both sides on 9/8/14. One day before the warranty expired. They informed me since it was reported before the expiration date that all was covered. They scheduled a repairman to come 9/15/14. Today I called to check why the repairman did not come. I was told that they would not pay since the warranty has expired, but would sell me a extended warranty for 95.00 dollars that would pay for parts only. The refrig broke while it was covered, it was reported before it expired, how can they not honor the warranty? Now they say they have no record of it being registered. The first lady I spoke to one Sept 8th found it, why cant they find it now? Frigidaire warranties are worthless. I will not have another product of theirs in my home!

I just want to let you know about Frigidaire products! I purchased an entire kitchen suite one year ago, the Frigidaire Professional Series. Within four months, the refrigerator broke. When the repairman came, he said he couldnt fix it, and I was issued a new refrigerator. However, since they had to get it from the original place I purchased them, I had to wait about a week for the replacement. Oh, and no, they did not replace any of my food, which I lost. They told me that is not covered! Less than a year after the purchase, the dishwasher began to leak all over my pergo floor, so I had the repairman come, which luckily, it was still under warranty. Less than one month later, on Christmas eve, when I had all of my Christmas eve dinner plates in the dishwasher ready to wash, once again, the floor flooded, leaving me with a bunch of dirty dishes, and a flooded floor. Nice, right? Its just what everyone wants to do for the holidays! I called the repairman, but I also contacted Frigidaire to see if they were going to stand behind their products, and they told me they couldnt pay for the labor, because the warranty was over by about three weeks! Really, are you kidding me? They finally agreed, after I threw a fit, that they would cover the repair of the dishwasher. I had, for 11 years previous to this, Sears Kenmore products, and never had the repairman at my house for them! I am so surprised that Electrolux would even be connected with such terrible products! I wouldnt purchase a toaster if it had Frigidaire on it! I have sent an email to their corporate office, and hopefully one of them will have the decency to call me, regarding their products.

I received a defective refrigerator (loud noise, ice maker doesn’t work, doors don’t line up correctly). Was on phone 45 minutes with customer service, got disconnected twice, had to go back through voicemail, re-enter all my information. What happened to this brand?

We were deceived, as consumers, in purchasing a Frigidaire Professional (fridge) in June 2013. In less than 3 years of normal use, the appliance broke down. Many parts associated with the low-pressure header to the heat exchanger, as well as the heat exchanger, had to be replaced. The cost of the appliance was expensive and not of quality. The cost of repair was also expensive, close to $700 CAD since it was no longer covered by the ridiculously short 1-year warranty of the manufacturer. We are taking the battle using legal action against Electrolux as we could not get any decent level of service from them or their accredited repair company (South Shore of Montreal). Not-so-professional. Be careful!

Frigidaire makes the crappiest appliances on the planet. I have had Frigidaire refrigerators, stoves, and dishwashers in homes and apartments where I have lived over the years. They have all been substandard, cheap appliances that are inferior when working, and prone to frequent breakdowns. I have had to replace many a Frigidaire product over the years. DO NOT BUY A FRIGIDAIRE ANYTHING!!!

I bought a new home in Sept. 2013. In November I happily purchased a full set of Frigidaire kitchen appliances from Home Depot. It is now less than three years later. My fridge has gone out. Something in the back of the freezer has started making a horrible sound until it is unplugged. My mother had Frigidaire years ago and swore by the company. There are two adults in our household. I do not believe the appliance was abused or overused. I will never buy another Frigidaire appliance if this is now the quality of their products. I now have to worry about the remaining products doing the same.
