Ive never written or voiced a complaint about a product before... but this is the worst company and product that I have ever had the displeasure of experiencing and I feel compelled to warn anyone about to spend thousands of dollars on junk. We upgraded our kitchen with perfectly good functioning appliances and replaced with Frigidaire professional series stainless appliances thinking that the look and functionality would be be an upgrade. We are sad to say that we have had a revolving door with repair-people on ALL appliances... especially poor are the dishwasher and microwave with multi-failures. We purchased our first extended warranty only due to the fact that we know that we are going to need it to manage their poor performing products. (FPHD2491KFO, KPBM189KFC, PHB2899LFB).We thought at first we had a bad luck but in two years the repairman that has repeatedly been to our house replacing two magnetrons in the microwave, pumps in the dishwasher, motherboard in dishwasher, motherboard in stove, not sure what was done to our warm, non-freezing freezer. The repairman said that we unfortunately bought junk and the 8 or so repair visits taught us how to manage our appliances. Examples of how I can better manage my new professional appliances: Dont boil a lot of water on stove. That will eat at the electronics of the motherboard of stove and over the counter microwave both of which have been replaced. Dont use rack in microwave as they are known to fry magnetrons... No advice given after second blown magnetron and no rack in microwave. Dont use liquid dish soap in dishwasher (wont clean dishes). Clean your dishes before putting in dishwasher (to avoid plugging of pump). Only use 1 tablespoon of dry soap in dishwasher... That is all that is needed to clean dishes. Avoid using heat dry in dishwasher to avoid motherboard from frying.Need I say more? These are perfect appliances for you if like to spend thousands of dollars in appliances only to have multi-repair visits, a $700 microwave currently busted, missed work for multi-days to fix new appliances, spend hundreds on warranties to manage faulty products, And have fun dealing with customer service and the warranty division too. Every time you call, it is like you have never called for a warranty claim ever. Youll have to ask them to dig deep to find your appliance issues and they always seem surprised.

We purchased four appliances from Frigidaire when we remodeled our kitchen. We have been a Frigidaire customer for thirty years. These appliances were purchased June 15, 2014. As of today the control panel on the stove died and now the control panel on the dishwasher died. When talking to the rep the only option is to spend another $284 for a extended warranty??? These units are only a little more than a year and a half old. Beware appliance buyers. Never buy Frigidaire appliances. They are junk.

DO NOT BUY FROM FRIGIDAIRE. I bought this refrigerator last year about 4 months before the 1 year warranty expired. My refrigerator got a crack on the floor; Frigidaire send a company to taped, they drill a nasty hole next to the crack without my permission. For whatever reason they did they never got my authorization, then the tape came off a few days later after was applied. That’s when I saw the hole next to the crack, Frigidaire offer to send another company for a second opinion. The company came and told me was unrepairable. I call again and they said that they were sending other companies. They schedule me about 6 times holding my time for 5 hours every time. I called Frigidaire and spent minutes on the phone explain every representative the same issue. They all reschedule me, no one shows up. No one ever fix or replace my fridge. Even one of the companies they sent out told me that Frigidaire was one of the most awful companies to deal while you have an issue, they stated that is just a cosmetic problem and isn’t affecting the function of the refrigerator. Now I stuck here with this suite of appliances from Frigidaire with a hole, a crack and a tape sticking off my Refrigerator. If I ever knew this I WILL NEVER BUY FROM FRIGIDAIRE AND OF COURSE I WILL NEVER BUY AGAIN.

I have Frigidaire microwave, refrigerator, stove and dishwasher that came with a new home in 2014. The dishwasher was the first to stop working due to the touchpad. The dishwasher touch pads cost $130. I had to replace it twice... Then on the third time I called it quits and bought GE dishwasher. Now my stoves touchpad is shorting out and comes on automatically. Thats another $130-200 to fix. Im not wasting my time anymore with Frigidaire. They dont stand by their products and continue to sell their faulty machinery. Dont buy from them!

Purchased in 12/2019 and installed for use 6/2020. In November used self-clean option as recommended by brochure. Shortly after code FO45 appeared every time turned on. Service persons report over heating caused by self-clean caused need to replace Control panel and fan. Service company working for Frigidaire would replace once I pulled out oven from wall to make accessible. Now Frigidaire//Electroluxs own service personnel coming to replace these parts. But I have been advised not to use the self-cleaning since it will happen again. To add to frustration with Frigidaire, the Frigidaire Refrigerator purchased in 4/2020 and installed to be used at same time (6/2020) now has a malfunctioning freezer. Would I purchase another Frigidaire product or recommend? NO!!

Both refrigerator and gas range were delivered April 2018. Refrigerator: By the end of June 2018 I had a warning that the water/refrigerator filters had to be replaced. I was told the filters were good for 6 months!!! Therefore I called Frigidaire dealers in my area to place an order the end of June/1st week July 2018... All of the dealers were out of the filters. Therefore I called Frigidaire. I was told the filters would not be available until October 15th 2018. NOW I HAVE PAID EXTRA MONEY FOR FEATURES ON THIS EXPENSIVE REFRIGERATOR THAT I CANNOT USE. To make a long story short I called Frigidaire for the rest of the year of 2018... In December before Christmas I was told the product would be in and I could pay for the order upfront. I did not received the filters until February 2019. Then, the frame that holds the drawer and shelve intact split. I had to order that in December 2018 as well. Although the refrigerator is not a year old the company would not cover it. I complain about having problems with the frame after delivery... Someone came out but the problem was not resolved. Called Frigidaires customer support. I was told to spray Pam on the drawer in order for it to slide easy!!! Yesterday when I went into my refrigerator I found out theres another break in the plastic frame....in the exact same place the first break was. Here I go again calling Frigidaire again about this lousy product!!!Gas range: I was using my range cooking for the Thanksgiving holidays...and my Carbon Monoxide Alarm went off. I had to get my son, granddaughter and myself out of the house. If I did not have the carbon monoxide alarm it would had been tragic. I called the gas company in my area and they verified it was carbon monoxide... I called Frigidaire and they set up an appointment for someone to come out. Frigidaire gave me the information of the service person and phone number... I took it upon myself to call them a few hours after I spoke with Frigidaire. The service person told me they were no longer doing service calls??? I had to call Frigidaire back to let them know in order for them to reschedule someone else to come out. Within a week a service person came out with new parts for the gas range.

Purchased a home in 2011. New appliances were in the home with the packaging still on - so they were never used. Turned on the oven on Monday to preheat. Came back to check on it. Fire started in oven due to broken heating coil. Have contacted Customer Service and have been informed that there is nothing that they can do for me since I do not have the receipts. It is not like they were left for me. Would think that they would be helpful since this could have burned down my home. Have been asking to speak to a Manager in charge but keep getting the run around. Will be emailing and calling every day until this is cleared up on their expense or I am going to the media and the Better Business Bureau. It is bad to see that there are others that have experienced issues that they do not stand behind their product or take any blame.

There is nothing wrong with Frigidaire products. They make them to last. It is the consumers responsibility to take care of the product. I have all Frigidaire appliances and I havent had any issues. You have to change the water filter out in those fridges every 6 months. I have purchased extended warranties on all of my appliances just in case. These products are machine and man made. Nothing is guaranteed. When you purchase appliances we take risk. So instead of not buying the warranty, go ahead and purchase the warranty. It is only a couple of hundred dollars more and it will protect it. You wouldnt drive a car without insurance.

The customer support is unhelpful and unsympathetic to their expensive yet cheaply made appliances. Brand new Frigidaire electric oven died after we used self cleaning feature for the first time. Had repairman replace the computer board at our expense. Several years later used the self cleaning feature again and the oven died again. So far we have used the self cleaning twice and the oven has died each time. Frigidaire should stop making this junk or replace the Self Cleaning button with Self Destruct button, so customers are aware.

On February of 2019 I bought a refrigerator from Sears. 9 months later it went bad. Less than a year in with barely to no use since I am mostly away for work. I had to wait 8 weeks to get a credit to purchase another which I surely saved myself the grievance and did not. Instead I have purchased a freezer which I will sale before it goes bad. I should have listen to my neighbor who said she couldnt trust this brand anymore. To use the factory warranty prepare for a huge disappointment and tons of hot potato phone calls. It seems to be the only brand that chapter 11 Sears seem to have on the floor and I can see why. Save yourselves the headache, get a South Korean product instead and live a happy life.

I will never purchase another Frigidaire product for the following reasons: 1). After two years, the interior light switches failed, causing the lights to remain on after the doors were closed, resulting in the bulbs burning the top of refrigerator compartment. Repairman couldn’t fix them, due to the fact that there are no cool bulbs to replace with. I still have no lights in fridge. 2). The auto ice maker has no overfill shut-off, until you discover that when door is opened, the ice falls underneath the freezer, and the door won’t close until you remove spilled cubes under the freezer; accessing the spilled cubes is a nightmare, for which I now have a special homemade device for this job. 3). Now that fridge is “old” (2012 purchase), water is leaking to bottom of freezer compartment, the freezer jams if it’s not removed. Every 5-6 days, I must empty the bottom drawer of freezer, get down on hands and knees, chip away 1/2 inch of ice from freezer floor, then re-pack bottom drawer!4). Upon calling Frigidaire about the last issue, representative advised me to “purchase a new one, it’s old”, which I definitely will, however, not from this company or any of its affiliates!

My landlord purchased a Frigidaire refrigerator for me on August 2020. It stopped working in February 2021. After 5 repair visits and 3 months of no refrigerator, I contacted them myself and the customer service was condescending and useless. They seemed to think I should wait indefinitely for this to be fixed. Needless to say, I have had to replace it. I will never deal with this company again. We bought all Frigidaire appliances (gas stove, side by side fridge and microwave) 5 years ago. The refrigerator broke down 4 times since then and then the 5th breakdown, we just replaced it. The convection fan in the stove stopped working within 1 year. The microwave is still working but the door handle keeps coming off. A few months ago, we bought a Frigidaire dishwasher because it matched our existing appliances. We must love the abuse. We started the washer last night before going to bed and woke up to see all the lights flashing and the dishes still dirty. Now, it wont do anything.Maytag, here we come! Weve already replaced the refrigerator with a Maytag. I wouldnt put another Frigidaire in my house even if it was free.

I bought the gallery series Refrigerator, Range, Dishwasher, Microwave on 11/18/2014. On 7/1/2015 the refrigerator (model# FGHS2655PF) quit working completely. I could not get anyone at customer until the next day and my service appointment was not until 7/6/2015 because they only have one service provider for the whole Cincinnati area. I had to leave work early to meet the repairman, only to have him say he needs to order parts and come back on 7/9/2015. Had to take off work again to meet repairman and to have him tell me he needs more parts and needs to come out again on 7/11/2015 to then tell me he cant fix it after 3 1/2 hours. The whole time that I talked to Frigidaire they did not care that I lost everything in my refrigerator (approx $200) or that I didnt have a refrigerator at all for the last 10 days. They still have to review whether they are even going to replace it. $1000 refrigerator lasted 7 1/2 months? What has happened to FRIGIDAIRE? They used to be the brand I sought out to buy.

I had Frigidaire microwave over the range at home. It only lasted 4 year. I had a professional technician over to examine. He found out the product is defective because of control board and magnetrod. These 2 key parts only last 4 years. It showed the poor quality of the product. I had to buy a new one. I used Frigidaire refrigerator for only one year, and one part (timer) got broken. I had to order a new part to replace. It costed me $200+ total for labor and part to fix it. I have to say, I am very biased. I prefer Frigidaire. We have 2 side by side units, one from 2006, and the other one is from 2017. Both have worked very well, and, yes we have had some minor repairs that I always could fix, but, overall, they just do what we expect. I think the key is to not buy all of the fancy electronics. Both of our units just have water / ice in the door, and that is all. On the 2006, other than filters, I just replaced the water control assy in the back of the unit. Part was less than 40.00. So, I guess I have had good ones. I still would buy them again.

I called back a week later and was told by that representative they were waiting for pictures etc before they can process my claim. No one told the repair company or myself this was needed. Now I have to wait for these to be processed again. Repair company emailing today. Each time I called Frigidaire I had a minimum of 20 minutes wait to talk to a representative. Im writing on behalf of my daughter who is due to give birth any day now and who has waited since January for Frigidaire to make right a product that does not work. In the last four weeks, Ive spent nearly 8 hours on hold BEFORE I could actually talk to someone, and though it has been 8 months, the replacement dishwasher which Frigidaire was supposed to deliver has not been delivered. On two occasions, delivery men have brought out a new dishwasher but then, mysteriously, the new machine was deemed broken in delivery and impossible to install. Ive been instructed to send copies of documents to prove our purchase even though they have record of the fact that she owns it. I am waiting for Frigidaire to deliver a serial tag to me - Im supposed to attach it to a rebate email. I have never received the tag.My belief is that Frigidaire is attempting to get out of replacing the product which has never worked by delaying until it is no longer in warranty. They are a dishonest company, run by incompetents or worse, they are criminals and are happy to take money and try to grind consumers down by making their service impossible to get all the while recorded messages assure those of us on hold that Frigidaire is concerned and cares about its customers. RUN, RUN, RUN, but do not buy anything any Frigidaire.

This oven trips the dedicated circuit breaker each time a user opens the door during the cook cycle. Luckily, I have an extended service warranty. I have had a switch replaced 3 times now to get the oven going again. Frigidaire just told me they would not replace the unit because it has not been deemed non-repairable. We have had many Frigidaire products over the years. Not sure what happened to them, but they are certainly not what they used to be. Our latest... a new Frigidaire dishwasher, the master control board failed at 2 years and one month, just past warranty. And their service? Was a huge fail! They did not care. It was clearly a manufacturing quality control problem for that to fail. But the response from Frigidaire was they did not care. And, they had no interest in taking the machine or board back to see what went wrong with it (despite our offer). It was like they knew there was a problem... but they just did not care. So, we replaced it with an American made Whirlpool, and will do the same with the fridge and freezer. And we will never go back to Frigidaire again. For others, I recommend you research your purchases carefully.

Three years ago I had to buy a fridge, stove, microwave, and dishwasher. All were gallery models except the stove which was a professional, 5-burner, convection oven professional. One month after the warranty ended the dishwasher started to have problems. I have had three repair calls on it and two repair calls on the fridge within the three years that I have had them. About a year ago, the control panel on the stove started to act up. Pressing the pads became harder and finally one ring would not work. Then the oven controls started to malfunction. Numbers for the temp and time wont work. Try and enter 450 degrees and all I can get, at present, is 397. Now I am told that I need a new control panel for about $250-350 plus service charge. I purchased a Frigidaire refrigerator in Oct 14 for my man cave. The reason was for the ice. The ice maker has frozen up on me 3 times, April 15 (under warranty), April 16 and the last time December 16. I paid to have it repaired in April 16. So after the third time I thought I would try the factory again, yea right. Was just told that it is not unusual for this to happen and as far as they were concerned, the product is out of warranty. We have a GE Profile at the house that is approximately 9 years old and have never had a problem. I need the ice so I think I will go get another GE refrigerator and set this one on the curb with a FREE sign on it. I will also start telling everyone I know or dont know, as I walk down the aisle at Lowes, that you really dont want to be purchasing this product because if you read the other reviews, Frigidaire should be recalling this model of refrigerator.

I have what I consider a fairly new machine - bought in 2010. It has operated well with minimal use since my children have been grown since its purchase and since we own two homes (both with laundry) and use this less than half time. The last load I washed was fine. As I put a new load in, the error light showed E90 and it beeped. I could not get either to stop, so pulled out all the manuals that came with the washer and dryer that I got from Sears. Spent quite a while reading through all 3 to no avail. So looked online. Still there was nothing to let me know what the problem was. By this time I was feeling very frustrated. So I found an 800 number to call. I was shifted to 4 different people, repeating info several times. By the time I got to a tech, I was very frustrated. Then she could not find the particular Error code - Even with the info on her computer and available from me as to the specific machine! That seems strange. However the tech seemed to be sure that the problem is the computer board. Not sure thats the correct term. My last washing machine lasted over 20 years with no need for repairs. So I am extremely disgusted to find that the board will cost over $200.00 and the service fee will likely be at least $130.00. The tech tried to sell me an extended warranty for $215.00 (to save me money). This washer is only 4 years old! I feel hoodwinked. My washer in my other home is over 20 years old and is fine. Why would I ever buy another Sears product? Which is a shame, because I have gone to Sears for large appliances since 1971.

The positives are that It appears to do what it’s suppose to do, we Love the water and ice, and it looks great BUT we purchased this fridge under a month ago and I have never heard a fridge be so loud in my life! It sounds like it’s making popcorn! Then it knocks, it pings and squeals. It’s actually loud enough that it wakes me up more than a couple times during the night. We asked that a repairman come and take a look to see what they could do and they said this is normal for this brand! I’ve never had a refrigerator make noises like this before!

We purchased a new house and we were thrilled to have all new Frigidaire Professional Appliances installed. We immediately had problems with our refrigerator. The seals in both doors are still not working properly after having been replaced. It has randomly stopped working for no apparent reason. We have had a door replaced on it (as it was dented upon arrival). I have asked for a replacement as it is not reliable but because it is still under warranty they will not replace the unit, just continue to try and fix it. Our dishwasher has also needed replacement parts (we have been in this house around 6 months now) as it was not heating properly. The latch on our microwave was not working so when the service company went to replace it, they broke off some plastic parts and currently it does not work at all. Three appliances all with problems within the first 6 months. I have been a homeowner for years and never had such challenges or problems in the past.

I purchased a Frigidaire washer (FAFS4272LW) and dryer on October 1, 2011. Since purchasing these items I have had a major service on the machine at 15 months when the cement block disintegrated causing the machine to stop spinning. Repair cost me $600.00 - NO WARRANTY. Frigidaire/Electrolux did not want to help me stating I did not get extended warranty for this item. Who would think this front load washer of 15 months would have such an issue? I finally got them to replace the cement block but I was to pay for service. 600.00 later the machine is fixed and I am left cleaning the mess the service man did not clean. Fast forward to August 15, 2015. The washer is not yet 4 years old and again the cement block has cracked and I am left without a machine - since this is not covered as I refused to give Frigidaire another penny and purchase an extended warranty. By the way the customer service person told me this part would not be covered pre-existing problem. I just took the machine and junked it. I did go out and purchase a Samsung Top Load AquaJet machine with a five year warranty - anything happens to my machine they will repair it at no cost or replace it. Customer service thanks to PC Richards at its best unlike Electrolux. I will never purchase another item that has the name is GE/Frigidaire/Electrolux again.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANYS BRANDS! I have a Frigidaire french door refrigerator that I bought new four years ago. I did not purchase the extended warranty and during the first year, I had at least two service calls for the unit not cooling. After the warranty period, the freezer would frost over and actually had ice build up inside the drawer that required I do a manual defrost.I came home from a trip and the temp in the refrigerator was at 67 degrees but the freezer was still working. The appliance repair tech that came to evaluate the unit said that both computers on the unit were not functioning and the repair was going to be ~ $500. He ordered the computers and when he came back, he pulled out the unit to check the freon and the back of the refrigerator was rusted. Its a known issue with Frigidaire and he called them to explain the issue so I filed a ticket to see what they would do for me. The options were that they would possibly replace it or pay a reasonable amount to me based on depreciation. I was told by the rep at the call center that the refrigerator was under a do not repair order so it should be repaired. After 10 days of waiting for the company to evaluate the unit, their final offer was a 25% rebate on another model. Ive been out several hundred dollars and am going to be out another $500 for computers on a unit that they know is defective or $1300 to replace the refrigerator. Im just going to bite the bullet and repair the thing vs. buying another piece of crap Frigidaire and be out approximately $1300 with the rebate that they offered. Really not good customer service that you admit the unit is defective and issue a do not repair order but dont back up your appliances. The builder put Frigidaire in my home, Stove, Microwave, Dishwasher but I guarantee you that as they fail, it wont be Frigidaire or any GE brand that will replace them. SHAME on YOU.

We have purchased two Frigidaire Professional ranges, and neither will work
We have purchased two Frigidaire Professional ranges, and neither will work. The part number is FPEF3081KF. Frigidaire is saying that the problem is the electrical service in this part of the US (Kansas), however, we arent having any problems with the Frigidaire Gallery, GE, Samsung, or Whirlpool appliances in this same small development. Supposedly Frigidaire is replacing one range (with what knows what), and says the other doesnt qualify because its not a manufacturing defect.I cant follow the logic there, since neither one will work. I guess Kansas must be the equivalent of a third world country and we just shouldnt expect to be able to buy appliances and actually have them work. Another Frigidaire representative says that replacement power supplies are being engineered, and they should be available in a few weeks. In the meantime, two military families are living without being able to cook. If you want logical and caring customer service, dont buy a Frigidaire. Frigidaire thinks its okay for people to wait weeks for repairs.

I purchased a French door refrigerator 8 months ago. The bottom door shelf broke off after 5 months. I ordered a new one. It took 6 weeks to get it. It arrived in a book with most of the chef in wrapped in a plastic bags. The end had broken off and was laying on top of the bag. Yes, the obviously dropped and broke the shelf in packaging and shipped the broken shelf anyway. I called to return the shelf. Their policy is that the customer has to buy a 2nd shelf, and they will credit your account for the first. Well, that was 6 weeks ago. I have not received credit for the broken shelf and the new shelf has not been shipped. I’ve made 2 attempts to find out when the shelf will be shipped, and no one seems to know. They were however able to take my money twice. I will be buying the rest of my appliances from a more reputable company.

First of all. How the hell does this company have so many stars when every review on here is horrible?? I bought a Frigidaire dishwasher from Lowe’s and I’m going on over 3 months waiting on a part to fix my BRAND NEW dishwasher. Service technician said I need three or four parts for my brand new dishwasher. I have now had a dishwasher Since September 23rd and have never been able to use it. I have spent hours on the phone with these horrible customer service people who do absolutely nothing help and get and attitude when I explain how ridiculous it is to be waiting over three months for a part for my new dishwasher. Also I called Lowe’s who said I simply need to get a Return Authorization Number from them am they will take the dishwasher back. Frigidaire want me to give them time to see if they can find the part before they will give me the number. Is 3 month not giving them time? I was told today the part is on backorder and they have absolutely no clue when the part will be available. What kind of customer service is that? No ETA. Just sit around for a few months and somebody might make the part I need one day.

4 new Frigidaire professional appliances. Year 2 replaced stoves control panel (over $300) and ice maker in fridge needed repair. Year 3 ice maker repair again, year 4 dishwasher leaking and had to replace. Fridge ice maker and water dispenser repair. Year 7 stove started to smoke (when back was removed the wire assembly for bake was melted into the control panel) so had to replace. So that leaves only 1 appliance (microwave) that remains. Frigidaire customer service has no comment other than to provide you with a contact for repair. Will never buy any frigidaire product again.

5/17/17 Installed window AC (heavy 18,000 btu). Strange sound and smell upon plugging it in. Repair tech said Power Supply Board / Relay Switch not functioning. Frigidaire (Electrolux) wanted to repair the New unit. After arguing it was replaced by retailer not Frigidaire. 6/16/17 Stopped working, retailer would not replace it, Frigidaire sent repair tech a week later, same problem as first unit. Part ordered, repair tech installed, didnt start, etc. 8/1/17 Today 1.5 months of calls speaking Supervisors they are still stating they will find a repair company to fix the unit. Summer will be over before it’s fixed. I have emailed, Chatted, pleaded and cried. Even offered to accept a buyout of the unit (cost $600) at 50% less since I have had to purchase a replacement. Never will buy Frigidaire again! If a negative star was possible that is what I would give them. Will only shop at P.C. Richard, which has amazing customer service and repairs.

ATTENTION CONSUMERS!!!! DONT BUY!! This is an honest warning from one consumer to another! Don’t buy Frigidaire. They don’t last more than 7 years. I replaced my Kenmore fridge and that’s still making ice and water as we speak in the garage just fine. My fridge from Frigidaire cut out on me 3 times and parts were replaced 3 times at my expense and yet again broke down. My gas range seems to auto ghost mode on at 400 degrees or higher so now I have to keep that unplugged. My dryer was worked on several times and $100’s was poured into my dryer for parts and labor. The washer doesn’t spin the water out of clothes anymore. And now the dishwasher just generates random wash times while in a wash cycle.Frigidaire products are garbage and won’t last. I spoke to a corporate supervisor. And it was a slap to the face to offer me 20% off parts after explaining my situation and what has been going on since I purchased these products. All in all if you want cheap buy from Frigidaire. If you want to talked to like an idiot buy Frigidaire. Or if you truly listen to other consumers go elsewhere!!!

Clayton NC. This Frigidaire Electric Range Model FFEF3054TS Serial # VF84808468 was purchased new in December 2018. On October 30, 2019 at 9:30 pm, the range glass door exploded. It sounded like all the kitchen cabinets had fallen off the wall. The range door outer glass exploded nearly 12 feet and was all over everything. The oven was not in use and have not been used frequently.Called Frigidaire the next morning. Technician came the next week. He said this was unusual and would recommend replacement of same glass! I advised this range door glass is a hazard and too dangerous to put back and risk another explosion. If someone had been in front of the door or near it when it exploded, it would have caused serious injuries. Told him to put same glass back was not acceptable. I call Frigidaire customer service and management said they would only replace same glass and give 3 months extended warranty. I would never buy or trust another Frigidaire product. Frigidaire has this problem before, looking at other reviews. Buyer beware.

We bought this Frigidaire model a few years ago when our old one stopped working. I like Frigidaire products, they are normally well-made and reliable and last for years. The fridge itself is performing well, I wish it didnt have glass shelves, and was a bit larger, but it was all we could afford on our budget. My husband and I just bought our first home. We went to home depot and purchased a washer, dryer, and stove. We made our purchase the Saturday before thanksgiving. Unfortunately, our first delivery date was delayed and a week and a half later I received my washer and dryer but the stove was damaged :( they gave us a new delivery date of Dec 16th for our new Frigidaire stove. They came yesterday and installed it, I was so happy to finally have my stove. Well anyway, today I woke up and put my oven on. The troubleshooting directions said you should turn oven on 400 for 30 min to help alleviate any smell and to break the oven in. So I did just that. The morning went on, I took my daughter for a walk and came home and put her for a nap. The next thing I knew my carbon monoxide detector was going off!!! I opened doors and windows, grabbed my daughter and out of the house we went. I called the fire department. They found out it was the oven, not the range. They said, You need to call where you got this and have them come and get it, the stove is faulty. See this machine, and it started to go up and up when he turned on the stove. When I called to have this deathtrap removed from my home and replaced they told me Dec 23rd. Needless to say, I went to a different stove to purchase a stove and also a different brand. I could have died, my daughter could have died. Frigidaire didnt care, didnt help. Im so glad and thankful nothing bad happened but I will tell you, after this experience I will never buy a Frigidaire. I have many years left to make purchases and Im a hairdresser so many people will hear this story. 1 positive experience reaches 1 person whereas a negative experience reaches 10. I sure hope thats enough for them to see the error of their ways.

Purchased a brand new fridge 5 months ago. Unit stop keeping the fridge cool. Called in for a repair which did take some time to get through their stupid automated system and finally got a human to talk to. They scheduled the appt with a local repairman who came out days later... YUP it’s not bad enough you lose all your food. You have to live without a fridge for additional days. Repairman did whatever to the fridge and left. Now its 10 days later and the same issue happened. Throwing all the food out AGAIN. HUNDREDS of dollars in food spoilage for yet another repair. Had to call in again and put up with the stupid automated machine to get a human. Scheduled yet another repair and had to wait for days to arrive...but wait, the repair guy calls and says he can’t get out there and it will be additional days before he can repair the fridge. Called Frigidaire yet again and of course put up with the stupid automated system to get a human on the phone. Now scheduling another appt with another repairman for today (4 days later) waited, waited waited...8-12 goes by and nobody. I called to find out what’s what and believe it or not... the order never got placed with the repairman. On the phone for 1 hour and 15 minutes fighting with reps and managers of Frigidaire to get the fridge fixed to only get I’m sorry for the inconvenience. Got so pissed off I called the repairman who fixed it originally and is coming out tomorrow. BUYER BEWARE! A $500.00 fridge has cost me a ton of aggravation, lost a day off of work, my tenants lost 2 full fridges of food and a half day off of work and had to live out of coolers off and on for 2 weeks. We purchased our stove on 7/29/21 and it was delivered and installed by 8/12/21. Used twice and the control panel shut off when I was using the air fryer! So far two service calls have been made and the stove is still not fixed. First service call was on 9/13. Technician didnt have parts and they needed to be ordered. Second time he came on 10/4, replaced the parts and it still didnt work. He suggested we talk to the electrician that did the wiring. Our electrician came out today and everything was good with the electric to the stove. SOOOO, I had to call Frigidaire again to schedule another service call. Its absolutely impossible to get through to customer service and when I did, I asked to speak with a manager and she hung up on me! So I called back and waited on hold again only to be told that the stove will not be replaced until deemed unrepairable! Again, I asked to speak with management and told, I would get a call back in 1-2 days. My next appointment to have the technician come to the house is 10/14!!! Its 10/5/21 and I still have no resolution for my $1800 oven! We basically got a lemon and Frigidaire isnt willing to step up and honor their commitment to good service.

We manage a few properties and at one point ordered a few Frigidaire refrigerators. Three of them never worked upon arrival. I was thankfully able to get two of them replaced after several calls with the distributor because frigidaire refused. It has been a year and I still cannot get the third one fixed or replaced. I have had numerous calls dropped with their customer service, countless promises to have the item fixed, and even more promises that they would bring the needed parts to fix it the next time. I will NEVER purchase one of their products again for the sheer sake of how atrocious their customer service is. I hope you should never have to call their customer service, because after waiting on hold for a minimum of 30 minutes (there is no call back option), you will likely get someone who you have to re-explain the entire scenario to, they will still not understand, and your problem will still not get resolved. At this point Im likely to just throw away this refrigerator instead of wasting more time trying to get them to fix it. I was just on the phone for over an hour, they refused to give me a manager and the call surprisingly dropped. This has happened a number of times before when I have had issues and I never received a call back. 0/10 would recommend.

2 years ago we purchased 3 Frigidaire appliances, their French doors fridge model FPHB2899PF2, their gas slide in range and their dishwasher all in the Professional series. At the one year mark the dishwasher broke down and required replacement parts that Electrolux was aware of. The oven racks (3) are all approximately 1/4 inch too small. So when you put almost any weight on them they fall to the bottom of the oven. Best yet just shy of the 2 year mark the door ice maker died. We called Electrolux service who directed us to our local repair company who arrived at our house and spent 4 minutes and $100 to tell us that this particular Frigidaire fridge was garbage and that he has repaired or tried to many in his area. He told us ours was non-repairable. Long story short we daughter for numerous emails and calls with Electrolux to only end up with a partial credit towards a new purchase which would cover approximately 35% of the replacement cost. At this point we gave up. We did however reach out to Leons Furniture where we purchased the group only to be totally ignored! Needless to say we spend all of our efforts spreading our message.

The Frigidaire FFGC3626SS 5 pilot gas range is very pretty and I like everything about it - EXCEPT - The knobs started breaking within a month of installation and all 5 knobs broke 3X within the first year. I was given two free sets, but now, since it is a few weeks past 1yr from purchase (but within 1 year of actual installation & use). I am being offered new knobs at $17.00 each (the full price is $75.00 each for PLASTIC knobs). There is no warranty on the new knobs. The Frigidaire website is FULL of 1 star reviews due to these knobs breaking. Apparently, the heat from the range makes the stems on the knobs brittle & the stems snap & making the knobs completely useless. I did not buy the extended warranty - One reviewer stated that the knobs are not covered by it anyway, but I havent confirmed that. I am down to 1 working knob on a 14 month old gas range. BTW, the size is unique & hard to fit with universal knobs from other makers. Run Away from Frigidaire Range Tops!!!

We purchased our Frigidaire glass-top stove in July of 2011 (Model #LGEF3045KFE). Within six months, it started showing symptoms. Whenever we used two burners and the oven at the same time, the entire unit would shut down. After cooling down (and flipping the breaker switches for the stove circuit), the stove would reset and wed be able to use it again (as long as we only used one burner and the oven). This happened a few times the first year; it happened a few more times the second year. I kept thinking I didnt have a large enough circuit breaker for the stove, until it happened again for the last time. The stove would not reset. NONE of the burners, nor the oven, worked. Thats when I went online and found out that there were a lot of people complaining about the same problem. When I contacted Frigidaire, they said it was MY problem since the one-year warranty period had expired, even though my stove had started showing problems DURING the warranty period.Frigidaire has refused to stand by its product (which is TERRIBLE, by the way). As a result, I will NEVER buy anything made by Frigidaire ever again. I am telling all of my friends to stay away from their products because of their shoddy workmanship, lousy customer service, and useless warranty. Appliances should last for 10-20 years before breaking down. Ive been a homeowner for 30 years. I have NEVER had to fix ANY of my appliances - until I bought a Frigidaire. Never again.

My husband laughed at me but found out heavy clothes on the bottom, lighter clothes on the top, has a clean cycle you do once a month. Doesn't show on the panel of the washer but tells you in the book how to access it. Mine is in a basement and has never had a bad odor or any mechanical problem in 3 years. Uses very little water and clothes come out clean and smell great. I open the door when done and pull out the soap and bleach dispenser tray when not in use. My sister says her cleaning woman works for others and has had every front loader break down often. I maintain it's how we treat them. If you load them all carelessly, it makes them off balance and will cause damage. Will buy another set if these ever quit on me.

We have a brand new side-by-side refrigerator, a Frigidaire LFUS2613LEO. Within three weeks, it stopped getting cold in the refrigerator section. Now all our food is spoiling as I write this. This was purchased at Lowes. When we called Lowes, they informed us that there was only a 7-day return policy and that they could not send a repairman for two more days! So here we sit with tons of spoiled food, no fridge for two days and can’t return the piece of junk nor are we compensated for all the lost food. If it breaks down within three weeks, I can only imagine how long it will be before it breaks again. It is obviously a lemon and there is nothing we can do.

So I bought this stove a year ago, a Frigidaire, but made by Electrolux. It is working fine but there are these little rubber feet on the bottom of the cast iron grates that come off (they stick to the enamel surface of the stove) every time you clean under the grates. So after almost a year and having lost eight feet, I decided to call the company and ask that they replace these small rubber feet. So I spoke to Jasmine with customer service and she said these feet are considered cosmetic and she was sorry I would have to buy new ones. Well okay, how much could they be? They are tiny black rubber nipples. Jasmine tells me I can have 8 of them for $29 and they will even give me some glue so they wont come out when you lift the grates. Are you kidding me?! They will give me glue, something that should have been done at the factory. So I asked Jasmine if I could talk to a supervisor. Well it took 28 minutes waiting on the phone for this supervisor. I know they were hoping I would hang up and just forget about it, but this is crazy, the feet probably cost 5 cents to produce. So charge me fifty cents. That’s $4.00 for 8 feet, Ill do it. The supervisor finally comes on. Her name is Jennifer. She can get me 16 rubber feet for the $29 and she wont charge me shipping. By this time I am fuming but remain polite and tell her I will not pay for something that should have been installed properly in the first place and that I believed this was a scam by the manufacturer. I will not let this rest because I told her these little rubber feet will create thousands of dollars of negative publicity for this greedy company that has no customer service whatsoever. I am not an idiot and I will not be cheated.

We purchased all Frigidaire appliances 4 years ago and we have not been happy with any of them! Our ice maker stopped working 3 months ago and our gas range scratched up so easily on the top by the burner grills that we had that replaced after 6 months! We also had to replace the bottom panel in the oven because it scratched with normal cleaning using a scrubby. Now I have a permanent white spot in between the glass on the oven door. Sent an email to Frigidaire with my dissatisfaction for both appliances and heard nothing! We too are retired and we do not abuse our appliances. I’ve had ranges and refrigerators that have lasted for more than 20 years and still looked brand new. Do not buy Frigidaire appliances. Lowe’s doesn’t care and apparently either does Frigidaire. Cheaply made and made to fall apart after 5 years.

Received a damaged refrigerator and reported the damage to the appliance store. The damage is a bent frame behind the bottom kick plate. The appliance store contacted the distributor with no results. I then contacted Frigidaire customer service and they did not stand behind their product with a repair or replacement. Their response was that their warranty only covered manufacturing issues and that a damaged frame (bent) was not a manufacturing defect. They pointed the finger at the appliance store and/or the distributor and left me to resolve the issue. In addition to the bent frame, this is the noisiest refrigerator I have ever owned!.

My Frigidaire Professional series dishwasher model PLD4375RFC0 started flashing the ER error code this month, exactly 4 years after it was installed new in 2007. It is now unusable and I have to leave the door open slightly because if it is closed, it will turn itself on at random. I have searched the internet and seen others with the same model have the same problem. I researched the parts affected and along with labor, it will be about half the cost of the dishwasher when it was new. I have a Frigidaire microwave, stove, and fridge also and now I am waiting for those to start failing. I will be replacing the dishwasher with another brand in the hope that I can squeeze more than 4 years out of it, but from the way things are made today, who knows.

I self cleaned my Frigidaire range and the next day when I went to broil the element made a pop sound and sparks began to fly from the oven. The relay board shorted and the tech from Frigidaire wants 550 with parts and labor to fix this issue. Frigidaire wants no part of the problem and could care less about there consumer. My oven is like new. I live in a warm climate where we grill outdoors and barely use an oven. The expense is huge to put into an oven an whose to say it wont happen again.

I purchased a custom size Frigidaire cook top stove, and paid over 1200.00. After just 4 years of minimal use, the oven heat was measured 110 degrees colder than the usual 350. The repair man had to send it out for repairs and it will cost over 400.00 to fix it. I called and left messages at the customer service department, all to no avail. I dont expect to have it fixed for free since it is 4 years old and not 3, however I thought Frigidaire was a reputable company who would like to stand by their products. The run around I received was unheard of and I maintained civility at all times. I am very disappointed with Frigidaire, will never buy another product or recommend them to anyone.

I purchased the microwave in November 2017. The door was opening with a bit of difficulty but I thought it was normal. Later on, I had to try 3-4 times to open it once. On Feb. 12th I called and they send a repair service company. The repair man wrote down 2 possible reasons: the door per se was damaged or it looked like the bottom door bracket was bent. He said that hell order a new door. If the issue will continue after that, Frigidaire will have to replace the microwave since the bracket cant be replaced.I waited 6 weeks for the door for it was on the backorder. Finally, the repair company received the door but it was broken... I waited another week, until they got another one (from the batch that was now in the Frigidaires stock). He installed the door but the issue persisted. So he said hed call them the next day and ask for the microwave to be replaced. He (and unfortunately I) did not think to try the microwave after installing the door. After he left I called his company because the microwave did not run at all, even with a hard-to-open door. He arrived after a few days and found something else was wrong (besides the door), namely a door switch. He ordered it from Frigidaire and left. After another week he arrived with the switch and installed it. But the microwave still would not work. He decided it was the thermostat. (THIS IS NOT A JOKE) and ordered it. Meanwhile we got to June and I went on vacation. He got the thermostat and came over to install it on August 1st. But the microwave would not work at all. (STILL, NO JOKE). He went to his car to look for some loose pieces. He was hesitant to call the company to order something else (and WHAT? because he had no idea what it was.) I advised him to call a colleague and ask for his/her opinion. Eventually he left saying that he will call Frigidaire the next day. Two days later he arrived with a piece that he said he had gotten from another colleague, familiar with Frigidaire products. He installed it and the microwave started running, still with the initial bottom door bracket bent and the door closing and opening with difficulty. I reminded him that he would have to call Frigidaire and say that the initial issue couldnt be fixed. BUT... SURPRISE: he said that I should be happy that the microwave works now. He said that Frigidaire never replaces appliances and it is practically a lost cause. It was clear to me that he was not at ease, since the whole story would prove that he wasnt a stellar repair man either.I couldnt believe my ears. So I understand that I have two incompetent parties here: one supplying bad products, the other supplying bad service. And I am in between, unhappy and angry as hell. I called the Dial Appliance myself and asked the manager to call since the repair man, Ishmail wont do it. The manager, Eugene, mocked me for even thinking of a replacement. Why dont you try it yourself? And good luck with it, he said. I called Frigidaire and there is not live person answering at all. They have a message, the same message that I heard several times along 2-3 months: In an effort to better serve poi, our agents are currently participating in a company collaboration & training session. We apologize for this inconvenience. One might say that after so much training theyd get better at what they are doing...

We bought a new home in 09/13, we upgraded our appliance package to the tune of 1800.00 dollars above the amount allotted by the builder. We had nothing but problems with the appliances. Dishwasher, stove, and now the fridge. Yes I understand they are just over 5yrs old. But when we bought the appliances we made sure of the warranties on the units. typical warranty 1yr complete, 5yr compressor. Weve had to have the fridge serviced a couple times over the years, and Frigidaire {Electrolux} has been aware that there was a problem with the compressor. So fast forward a couple months, now the unit is completely off warranty. Low and behold they will not warranty the compressor. Sorry of which they have changed their warranties to now only be 1 yr for the complete fridges, no compressor warranties beyond the year. But they would gladly sell me a NEW compressor to the cost of 495.00 canadian, shipped. But I must have a Frigidaire approved installer put it in at the cost of 695.00, bringing the total repair to 1100.00 Well we decided to just scrap the fridge since the repair is so costly, and no guarantee it would last. So why not just buy a new Fridge from another manufacturer. Oh ya did I mention Samsung, Dayco and numerous other manufacturers have increased the warranty periods on their refrigerators. The last time I ever buy a Frigidaire or Electrolux product ever. Also I will make sure as many people know as possible that they do not stand behind their product.

I purchased this refrigerator in April of 2010, now 4 years later it has stopped working. Earlier this year I was concerned about temperature fluctuations but they always went back to normal in a few hours. I have dropped a can of soda in the refrigerator and it cracked the inside. The drawers have been very difficult to maneuver resulting in some breakage there also. Seems like very inferior materials used. The only advice I received was to place some tape over the crack. I have seen this recommendation in other comments regarding these refrigerators. Very unhappy overall with this product, cracking, breaking, temperature fluctuations and now a breakdown (BTW this happened the week before Christmas for which I was going to cook). I was unable to book a repair service during the holidays. I will call on Monday January 5th. Thank You for your time.

In May 2015 we bought a brand new/just built home in RI. We bought 4 Frigidaire appliances for the kitchen (Microwave, Stove, Refrigerator, and dishwasher). In May 2016 I PAID Electrolux/Frigidaire to extend my warranty on the refrigerator. In the last week, Ive received multiple emails from Best Buy offering to extend my warranty on ALL this equipment. I called Electrolux/Frigidaire to clarify the status of the refrigerator, AND I dug into my files to find the 2016 agreement. To my shock, I discovered that the agreement I paid for in 2016 listed a completely different refrigerator, that THEIR records claimed Id bought from Lowes in 2014! Ive NEVER bought any appliance at Lowes, and in 2014 I lived in a completely different town and state than they had listed. This was DEMONSTRABLY THEIR DATA-CAPTURE PROBLEM. I wanted them to honor the warranty I PAID FOR and apply it to the correct appliance, the one that is actually standing in my kitchen now... The one I bought in 2015. THEN, I would have re-upped the contract, which was due to run out a month from now. THEY WOULD NOT DO THAT. Their only offer, return to me the pro-rated amount of my premium, which means probably 2 or 3 dollars. Meanwhile, IF my refrigerator had suffered a problem a month ago, or last year, I would NOT have been covered. In closing the data mistake could NOT have been made by me. It is literally impossible that I could have randomly invented model and serial numbers that match a refrigerator that is a different model, bought in a different year, from a different big box store. So, its demonstrably Electrolux/Frigidaire fault. And WHAT are they willing to do to make it right? NOTHING. ZERO. NADA. I shall never again buy: another Electrolux/Frigidaire product, or an extended warranty from ANY company. They are (Ill use the word again) DEMONSTRABLY a RIP-OFF!

I have never been so disappointed and angry over a purchase. I recently built my dream home and was very excited. All my appliances are Frigidaire and had always thought it was a solid product. My one yr warranty had come to an end this past May. For several weeks now my dishwasher had not been getting the dishes clean but it would work well enough when run on heavy mode. I do not use it that often so it was more of a bother than anything until I noticed several pieces of wood flooring popping up and realized I had a leak of sorts. The builder came to take a look and we saw that water was pouring out from under the dishwasher. There was mold growing. As luck would have it my ice maker in my Frigidaire freezer stopped working as well. I called Frigidaire and was told I would have to pay for the repairs myself as it 6 months out of warranty. I have such concerns as all my other appliances are made by Frigidaire as well. So now not only are my relatively new appliances not working but I have damage to my new home. All of which I have to pay for because this company did not make a quality product. It is just myself and my daughter who is 7 that live in my home so how much wear and tear can 2 people do in a little over a year. My builder who is one of the largest in this area in NC was disgusted as well by the response from Frigidaire and told me its not the first time he has heard this and will no longer be recommending using them in the homes he builds as he wants to keep his reputation of quality homes. I can only tell people I know to NOT buy products by this company and if you do dont expect them to do the right thing. I had a Kenmore for over 15 years without any problems and I will be replacing my Frigidaire. I understand that things break but when something is so new and has very little wear and tear it is robbery. Now I am left with the repair cost of both as well as the cost of the damage to my new home.

Bought French Door fridge in July 2015 Model LFHB2741PF5A. Now out of warranty by 9 months. Started having lights go out on touch screen control then quit delivering ice. Have spent $700.00 dollars for replacing 2 control boards and ice maker motor. Lights now work on screen, ice maker still will not deliver ice even though ice is being made. Might as well be using ice trays. Frigidaire customer support response has been that even if I had the extended warranty they would only replace the parts and if it could not be repaired I would have to buy a new fridge on my own. No more Frigidaire appliances for me and please think twice and research before you buy.

New house came with all new Frigidaire appliances. Within about 4 months, the dishwasher had a pretty serious leak at the base of the door. Repair took a month as the door panels took a long time to get to the repair company. The technician seemed uneasy about the repair but expressed that he was obligated to do it. His parting words were along the lines of, Well, lets see how it goes. A month later, the same leak returned. I called Frigidaire and told them that this time Id like a replacement. They told me that the repair technician would have to make that determination. The repair service said they would gladly come out, but rarely will Frigidaire replace anything, they always end up repairing. I impulsively went out and charged a new machine, which reading this forum makes me feel as if I did the right thing.A month ago, the microwave clock began running about an hour fast or shutting off. The bottom shelf of the refrigerator falls off its track locking the crisper draws in place. I think its criminal that a company is allowed to produce massive amounts of impossible to dispose garbage. I feel horrible that I am sending a less than one-year-old dishwasher to the dump. My last unit was going strong after nine years when I sold my last house. After the washer is paid Ill charge a micro, then eventually the fridge. We all work in this house and cant take the time to have all these repair people to come. This is really aggravating.

We purchased a brand new house in March but the oven has been having issues. The technicians came to our house for several times to replace the motherboard then the wirings. Now we are having issue again on the temperature control. We are asking for replacement the last time we called customer service last month due to several problems arising with the brand new oven for four months but they refused. Our oven is rarely used. We only used it for heating pizza. It is just frustrating because we have all these issues/problems with the brand new oven which was rarely used. There wouldnt be any issues like these if they have thorough quality control. They kept on telling us that they will not replace it because it is still repairable but we are not technicians. DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE BUYING APPLIANCES ESPECIALLY FRIGIDAIRE/ELECTROLUX.

My oven range that was less than a year old started on fire. Thankfully no one was hurt. My appliance repairman came out (on a Saturday) and let me know that a short had occurred in a wire associated with the igniter. He told me to call Frigidaire. I did so. Simply put, the technicians the company hires to do the repairs only work 8-5, Monday thru Friday. Not convenient for people that work full time. There are plenty of technicians in the area that work after hours and weekends. Frigidaire as a company chooses not to pay the technicians that will work convenient hours. The customer service representatives and managers treat you like youre an idiot and just repeat themselves. I never write reviews but I wish I would have known this information before I purchased the product.

I purchased a new double wall oven in Oct. 2012, and was generally happy with it. The first time we tried to use the self-cleaning feature, after several months, after a while running the self clean, the oven showed an error code and then shut down. It worked fine otherwise, but we have not been able to self clean. In the past month, we have started getting the same error code (F43) when using the oven for regular cooking as well. Although we could tolerate the lack of cleaning, we are now trying to fix. Frigidaire initially would not help, as we are out of the 1-year warranty period. Then they offered to pay for parts, provided we use an authorized service technician. They sent me the 3 service technicians in my area, and 2/3 did not return my phone call. The third came out and reported that the labor alone to fix the oven would be over $400, requiring replacing of a fan and a sensor. I contacted Frigidaire again, expressing my dissatisfaction with the oven, and telling them I didnt see a reason that a new oven should require these new parts, as well as being unhappy with being forced to use a particular service company, who seemed to be charging a very large amount. Completely unhappy experience, and I will not be buying a Frigidaire again.

I have had to call them out to adjust the doors. On the second trip I also pointed out the crisper drawers. The wheels are cracking and falling off. Dont buy Frigidaire, Electrolux, and sadly GE appliances (all one company now owned in Sweden). My Frigidaire side by side broke after less than 5 years and the only thing they will offer me after calling twice and speaking with a manager (first supervisors name was ** the second was **) both times is 50% off (not including shipping) a part needed when ordered through them after paying for a diagnostic visit of $78. After doing my research consumers should expect a fridge to last 10-15 years. This company only want to guarantee you that their $1,000-$3,000 product will last a year! After that they believe you should pay more to protect yourself from their poor quality and unreliable product as they will not stand behind and guarantee the quality.I think this is completely unacceptable and disgraceful. And the company could care less. I asked them to allow me a credit of $78 from what I would be paying the repair man quote, towards the part as I felt that would be more fair and they refused. So after paying over $1,000 for their product that failed in less than half its life expectancy they were unwilling to give me a credit of $78 with no remorse. Also while calling for service from local repair people I asked them from their experience who are the best and worst out there for refrigerators and they said best: Maytag and Whirlpool. Worst- Frigidaire/Electrolux /GE. Remember when you shop online and look at reviews- companies pay people to write great reviews but not to write bad ones. So take special note of the poor reviews. Had fridge for three years, broke 5 times. Two different repair places came to fix it. Fresno was bad, Bakersfield was even worse. Bakersfield tech was great but said Frigidaire has a policy that they have to try to fix it even if it cant be fixed, it would take three attempts to try to fix it. The receptionist lost our or forgot our appointments as she chuckled, but thats another review at a later time. Now Frigidaire said it would take 4 attempt to fix it. Same error code on fridge, same parts repaired on fridge 4 times. I have emails from first manager stating 3 times, now today they say 4. Kind of funny, the story keeps changing. Frigidaire claims until cost-prohibitive - it cost me 1500 plus extended warranty 500 plus 300 for food that went bad over a three-week period for each repair to be completed. So Im out 2300 now, not sure what they deem cost-prohibitive.

I purchased my product from Best Buy in 2007. I was pleased with the product for the first few months. Over a period of time, I always smelled something burning when I opened the cooler side door, like plastic; but, I was never able to locate where this was coming from. On January 31, 2012, I opened the door for about 15 minutes to clean out the product and kept smelling burning plastic. I looked up and was in awe at what I found. The (original) light bulb, that rest on the ceiling of the refrigerator (fridge), had burned right into the lining of the ceiling. At that time, I realized this is a faulty product; this product should not be in any home. I have a repair man come out and view the fridge, and he stated this shouldnt be in my home because, this could potentially cause a fire and burn my house down, leaving my family homeless!I went to http://www.frigidaire.com/contactus and filed a complaint through email; the response that I received was a standard response any company would use to not accept responsibility and place the blame on the customer, who bought the product. The response was as follows: Thank you for contacting Frigidaire. We sincerely regret you have experienced difficulties with your refrigerator. Frigidaire provides very comprehensive warranties with each product to guard against any parts that may be defective at the time of manufacture. However, we are sure you can appreciate that a point is eventually reached when the manufacturers responsibility for repairs under the initial warranty must end.Our experience has shown that an original defect in material or workmanship will develop very early in the life of the appliance. After a reasonable period of service, many factors beyond the control of the manufacturer may affect any product. The problem experienced is almost always due to the door being left open for inordinate periods of time or from replacing the bulb with a wattage too high for an appliance application. There is a liner repair kit available that an authorized Frigidaire service provider can install that will repair the damage. Please choose from among the following authorized Frigidaire service providers that serve your area: Major Brands Appliance Service, LLC / Newton, IA / 50208-3226 / (641)831-3840 Appliance Service Center / Des Moines, IA / 50315-5072 / (515)256-3090American TV Appliance Service / Madison, WI / 53713-2346 / (800)854-6659We offer extended service agreements for all customers who register their appliances with us to guard against any unusual problems that may occur outside of warranty beyond usual wear and tear. If you would like to purchase an extended warranty, you may do so after your appliance has been repaired by contacting our Extended Service Agreement Department at 1 (866) 386-5286. Thank you again for contacting Frigidaire, BoThis, is not acceptable. I requested that they repair the default or refund the amount less depreciation, so I am able to purchase a produce that would not place my family in danger. Now, I am filing this claim along with several other regulatory agencies.

I would caution anyone any one who is considering purchasing a Frigidaire product. We purchased a complete Frigidaire Gallery stainless steel set of appliances for our kitchen. In 10 months, we have had issues with every single appliance. It first started with our fridge. The compressor was bad right when we received it. Our appliance vendor replaced it. Afterwards, it also started leaking water on our hardwood floors in our newly built custom house and spoiled all of our groceries. We called Frigidaire to file a complaint and also asked for a food credit to replace the $700 Costco trip we had just put in there. The response was basically, We dont really care and we dont do food credits anymore - read line 22 of your warranty.”When our appliance vendor finally replaced the fridge (what a battle this was), they gave us a free upgrade to a Frigidaire Professional series. Days after delivery, the fridge leaked a ton of water on the floors again. The repairman came and discovered a bad water valve and repaired it. A couple of months later, our microwave started arching. Talk about a scary and dangerous situation. We had yet another repairman out and he fixed it. While fixing it, he shared with us the philosophy of many appliance companies. They basically make cheap stuff and it needs to be fixed often. It’s a sad realization after you spend thousands on appliances. Just recently, we have had our gas range have a gas valve go bad and then our dishwasher flooded our kitchen due to a bad gasket. I have had to fight with the appliance vendor to get them to take our appliances back and allow us to get another line of them. It has been extremely frustrating. I dont even want to see the Frigidaire logo at this point and will never buy anything from them again. I would caution anyone who is considering Frigidaire. I wouldnt take something of theirs even if it was free.

I just bought a fridge on Black Friday that was delivered to my house the Friday after. After the installation, I noticed the fridge beeping, but I thought that it was due to the fact that it hasnt reached the ideal temperature. During the weekend the fridge didnt stop beeping, even though it reached the temperature. We tried different things that we found on the internet, but nothing worked. On Monday I decided to contact the customer service, and they told me to turn the breaker off and on again. At the time that they ended my call, the fridge wasnt beeping just yet. As soon as I hang up the beep starts again. I proceed to call the customer service once again and let the representative know all the previous details and she puts me on hold for a brief moment. She then proceeds to give me the number of different companies around me that could service my brand new fridge. When I ask her for the procedure and if it was cover by the manufacturers warranty, she proceeds to tell me that this was not a functioning issue and that the service should be paid by me. I have gone to hundreds of internet pages looking for a solution to my problem, but instead, I found tons of people with my same fridge having the same issue as me. Frigidaire sells faulty products that they dont even back up. Please dont make the same mistake I did. Purchase another brand. This website rates them 4+ stars, but these reviews must have been purchased. Im sending back my fridge and getting another brand. I WILL NEVER EVER AGAIN BUY ANY FRIGIDAIRE BRANDED APPLIANCES.

These appliances are only 15 months old and Ive had numerous problems with them and Id like to warn others about them and encourage them not to buy them. After being married for 49 years we had all new matching appliances and I was thrilled! But these appliances have been nothing but problems... Before the warranty was up, I had to have 4 or 5 service calls on the refrigerator. The first time I tried to clean my self-cleaning oven, the glass in the door shattered and I was left without an oven for about 2 weeks before they got it fixed, and was told by the service man that it really isnt good to use the self clean feature because it could damage parts in the stove. Now about a month ago my dishwasher just stopped working! Now Frigidaire did agree to cover the cost of the repair since it was only 14 months old, but only because I really put up a fight, but now a month later Im still without a working dishwasher! Service man came out yesterday and it seemed to work because I cleaned it because it had been sitting for 2 weeks and I wanted it clean before I washed dishes. After dinner last night I loaded it up and started it and about 3 hours later, my husband and I were in the living room watching tv, and it started making noises. I checked to see if the dishes were clean and they werent so I called service again and now its going to be another 5 to 7 business days before they can even get the part! Im just thoroughly disgusted and I want to warn others about it..

We purchased a top of the line Frigidaire Microwave 6 months ago. A few weeks ago I put the timer on and was out of the room for about 10 minutes. I was not using any heating component of the unit. When I returned to the kitchen it was smoking and all the plastic parts inside had melted. I had to unplug it to turn it off. Ok bad but the house didnt burn down. So contact Frigidaire and they will replace it, right? Nope. Sent out a repair person about a week later who would not accommodate our work schedule to say we can fix it. Ok, that was 2 weeks ago and they called to say we will be there Thursday between 10 am and 1 pm to fix it. Called them to say I could not be here then, I am a teacher in the middle of exams!!! Not deserting my students for a microwave I didnt break! So anyway the woman was very rude and said to call Frigidaire and tell them how I refused to accommodate them... My husband called the repair service and asked them to please find a time that works and they said no. He called Frigidaire back and they said, Oh they dont have the parts yet, please tell me why they were going to come last Thursday if they Dont have the parts... Anyway microwave still broken, no end in sight and a terrible experience.

They were very rude and waited very very long time and they told me it’s not under warranty anymore. Then I called service and it needs now about $400 to change the board. Please do not buy their product. They are very bad.

Very quiet. Does excellent job of cleaning dishes without rinsing them first. Cleaning cycle is shorter than most other brands. Has 6 different wash cycles and 4 different drying cycles. The silverware tray is easy to fill and keeps them separated. Very reliable. It's approximately 10 years old and never had service on it.

Fridgidaire Gas wall oven model # FGB24T3E - My oven is about 5 years old. The hinges bent. Now door cannot open... Material is thin and part is broken. I called the company and they deny a recall. But, also they will not offer any compensation. Company will not support their product. Many consumers have complained about this oven and the hinge problem. Sears website has many complaints. Will anyone help? If this product is a problem? What can we do?

In 2012, I purchased all Frigidaire appliances (Refrigerator, Oven, Dishwasher and Microwave). I also purchased the Extended Service Agreement and renewed with an expiration date of 3/27/2020 on all the appliances. In November 2017 I noticed a crack on the door of the microwave located at the bottom of the handle. This is probably due to the design of opening and closing. The microwave is Model #FFMV162LW Serial Number KH12401883. Purchase date 9/5/2012 ($199.00). The extended service contract #[protected] (spent $163.93 on this service). When I contacted the 800# to report this, I was told it is not covered, because it is not part of functionality. I have read over the contract. Nowhere does it mention the door not being a significant part of the functionality; it does need to be closed to function. The contract does not mention at all that the door is not part of the extended service.I then went on the Chat Line to further submit my frustration of all the expense I put in to all these extended services I purchased on all the appliances, not to have Frigidaire back up their products and services. These will be the last Frigidaire items I will purchase when I am in need of future products. **Answer received: I appreciated reading you complaint. Im quite heavily involved with the industry and think I might be able to shed some light on the subject. The issue youre referencing is a problem of physical damage versus that of electronic/mechanical problems. Physical damage is something most extended service guarantees do not cover; for example, closing the door too hard and cracking the door. This makes sense whereas theres no way to determine how the crack really occurred. For what its worth, I own several Frigidaire appliances and dont hesitate to recommend them. Admittedly I prefer the Gallery and Professional lines as compared to that of the basic Frigidaire series, but if one knows the line fairly well, they can become a great value. Hopefully this helps clarify the issue.**I replied with: Sorry Shaun, but this seems to be a standard reply you are giving many of the complaints posted here. I still stand by my statement that I will not purchase any more Frigidaire items. After the several conversations with Frigidaire, there has not been one single reply. I asked if all my methods of contact (phone and live chat) had been recorded, to which I was informed they were as I suggested upper management review. When one receives mailers saying you are best to purchase a service agreement (kind of an extended warranty) that pretty much costs more than the unit itself, you are believing the Company will address the problem. In this case, me, the customer, was not satisfied with three issues; 1) Product flaw 2) Misleading extra coverage 3) Level of caring from Company.

My issue isnt as dramatic as some Ive read, but nonetheless I am furious. I have a 5-year-old Frigidaire refrigerator and last night, I was going to clean under the crisper drawers. When I started taking it apart, I noticed the plastic frame was badly cracked. I called Frigidaire because that piece has no weight on it other than bread and other lightweight items, and should never break let alone in 5 years. They refused to do anything about it, and the discounted price they offered me was considerably more than online resellers of this part. I told them that was a ridiculous price since they are the manufacturer. Even worse, customer service said that they werent willing to replace it at no charge. They didnt seem to care. I will never buy another Frigidaire product if this is what they call customer service.

My range was purchased 10 years ago. I had no major issues. But spills penetrate through the seal of the door. There is no access to clean it off. My husband figured out how to undo the hinges and split it open. Even then it doesnt get clean and looks dirty all the time. Also while using recipes the Temperature and time never match. Need to raise it and cook longer than stated. Constantly adjusting.

I bought all Frigidaire Gallery appliances for my kitchen. Since then my refrigerator has broken at least 4. 1st was ice maker $150 then the whole motherboard $350. Now its the water inlet valve $150 and of course all this happens after the 1st year when the warranty expires. So the way I see it I paid for a new fridge in repair. Also bottom freezer door doesnt close right and is chipping away. Stay away from the P.O.S company. I contacted them to see about recalls and such all the recalls are for the model before it. This model has the same problems but no recalls. That is the biggest scheme. Stay away from this junk box.

We purchased a home with Frigidaire Professional Series made by Electrolux.
We purchased a home with Frigidaire Professional Series made by Electrolux. I called Frigidaire to register my products, gave them all the model and serial numbers on a dishwasher, micro/oven, dishwasher, fridge and cooktop in the first day of taking possession. The microwave stopped working 3 weeks after taking possession. Called Frigidaire and was advised we had no warranty. This was a repeated request by me and was told the same thing, no warranty. In the meantime our dishwasher of 4 months leaked out onto the hardwood floor, causing damage. I again called Frigidaire and conveyed my observations on performance and poor quality... Stating the microwave hasnt worked since week 3 of taking possession. The oven spikes in heat or doesnt cook in the allowed time in other ovens and that the dishwasher only worked on one setting and leaked 4 months within use. It leaked on a Saturday and Frigidaire does not provide after hours service. On Feb. 2/2015 I called and asked them to reimburse us for the new dishwasher and the cost of repairing our floor. To which they said No. Finally we were asked for our purchase contact on our home and the receipt for the new dishwasher (we did not purchase their product). We were then asked to produce the purchase agreement, a copy of the service call for the dishwasher and the receipt for the newly purchased dishwasher. Customer service then back dated our warranty to April 11/14. They then, wanted the virtual information that was stuck on the dishwasher. Since we had no warranty as we had it recycled, never to be used for another to suffer damages as we did. Because we could not produce the sticker, we offered the warranty card with all the information and the user manual with the same on it. This was not acceptable to them. We forwarded the service report which clearly states the reasons that this serviceman could not and would not in good conscience repair it as it was poor quality could not guarantee it would not leak again. He told us it would cost us more to try to repair it than it actually cost and we should get a new one. We have not been reimbursed the cost of every appliance, which is all of the Frigidaire Professional Series. When I say all, I mean everything in our kitchen has broken down. Since our dealings with this company and their poor quality products, we have been forced to replace it all. Customer service agents are not diligent in executing customer expectations, nor do they respect you enough to make notations such, as your name and address and simple tasks like registrations. The service company they have hired to do the repair to the micro/oven ordered the wrong part and it has now been almost 3 months and we are still waiting. Have any of you ever figured out how much you pay for your appliances when it gets lumped in with your mortgage? I would never recommend this companies products, nor will I buy them and should I purchase another home, Frigidaire/Electrolux are a deal breaker!
