Where do I begin? The refrigerator, ice machine leaked and ruined my beautiful wood floors. The doors dont line up properly. The cook top on my stove needed repair. The clock on my oven stopped working and now the microwave sounds like there are loose parts in the machine. Nice looking appliances, but not worth the money! Do Not Purchase Thermador. There is better out there for the same money.

The ovens in my 48 Thermador Range are garbage. For years I have had problems with the larger oven not heating to the proper temperature (getting up to 250 degrees regardless of where the temperature is set). The motherboard had to be replaced but it still hasnt worked properly. Its hit or miss when I turn it on to see if it will get past 250 degrees. Recently the smaller oven went out completely. Over eight hundred dollars in repairs later, the small oven now acts like the large oven and it is hit or miss to see if it will get up to the proper temperature. It seems to work better if I turn the larger oven on at the same time. Its absolutely unacceptable that there are so many complaints with this company. I will NEVER again purchase anything from Thermador. Now my dilemma is whether to continue to invest money in repairs or just chuck the whole thing and go with another brand. It makes me sick to think about it.

Multiple issues with a fridge, freezer and range. Spent close to $25,000 and not worth the money. They do provide a 2 year warranty and we had over 20 service calls between the 3 appliances. Theyre beautiful appliances but would never recommend Thermador and will never buy again. We have no faith in the products and were forced to buy an extended warranty that cost over $1,000.00 when the warranty expired. Youve been warned and hopefully you did you due diligence before buying these appliances - regretfully I did not.

Were on our second Thermador. The first one died several Thanksgivings ago, after several repairs in its first year. After much complaining to Thermador corporate, they agreed to sell us a new oven at a steep discount. I was sick of dealing with this thing, so I went for it. The discount was not steep enough, as now the new one isnt working either. The oven wont turn on. The fan comes on, we smell gas, but no heat (oh, and the light has been stuck on since a few weeks after purchase and the stove top burners have a habit of randomly firing the igniters, even when the stove is off). Absolute piece of crap! We were fooled by the neat looking speedometer thermometer, but you shouldnt be. These stoves suck, steer clear!

I purchased a whole kitchen of appliances in 2019. My pride purchase was a Thermador 36 inch gas 4 burner with a grill in the middle. 7149.99 stove alone. The meat probe from the oven was never used until that Thanksgiving when I was going to cook my first turkey with my Thermador stove probe kit. Seems simple right? Put the probe in the turkey, set it and wait for the probe to chirp. Right from the start it gave me a defective code with the probe in. It couldnt be used. Since the fall of 2019 until today Thermadors qualified service techs have been to the house 5 times and are unable to fix it. One and one half years later no resolution. They just decided that they would replace my stove. The replacement is the stove prg366wh which is 1000.00 dollars less. They refuse to reimburse even a fraction of the amount claiming Ive had the stove over a year, even though my call for service was less than 6 months after owning the stove. Ive declined, Im off to court. Somethings are a matter of principle. Bottom line, Thermador is no longer able to support their past reputation. One last thing I discovered during this problem. The parts are made in China, so how do they claim the quality when everything is being made for all at the same sweatshop. Stay away from Thermador. Worst purchase Ive made in 20 years.

Since purchasing my Thermador Freezer, I have had an ongoing problem with the ice maker. It just stops working. After being repaired numerous times, Thermador approved having the entire unit replaced, sending me an e-mail confirming this decision on August 7 and promising someone would contact me within 7-10 business days. This greatly eased my general disappointment with Thermador and its customer service department - including all the scheduled appointments that were cancelled (last minute) or no shows. I believed they were trying to correct what was overall a frustrating and negative experience. Unfortunately, I am now even more frustrated as it is September and I still do not have a working ice maker/freezer. I have asked to speak to a supervisor numerous times but they are never available and do not return my calls.

Our drip pan for our indoor grill started bubbling & the paint chipped off. My first impression with the customer service rep was great. Then I received the phone call that Thermador refused to replace the drip pan after owning the stove top/oven barely after 1 year. What a huge disappointment; you spend so much money thinking the product will be high quality and in return they refuse to own up to a defect and provide good customer service. All of our appliances in our new remodeled kitchen are Thermador; I am afraid of what will not work next and what they wont replace!

I purchased 3 Thermador appliances in 2015 when I remodeled my first Thermador kitchen, which I LOVED. First: the new wall oven, model MED271JS, the narrowest oven they make at 27 wide, does not heat properly. It beeps that it has reached the set temp., but actually is 50 degrees (more or less) below the set temp. Baking cookies is a crap shoot as to whether they will be flat, indicating too low an oven temp. and that is what I usually get...flat cookies. I have not been able to consistently correct this problem. Roasting is also unpredictable. I have ruined many of very expensive meals due to the temp problem.I have had our local Thermador repair people out 3-4 times to address the inconsistent heating problem. They were unable to correct the issue and told me that new ovens now take longer (up to 30 minutes) to preheat an oven, and that this oven was operating as it should. Also, the oven cannot be set to start at a later time. It does have a Sabbath mode, but that has to be scheduled the day before I want to start up the oven, which for me is useless. So the oven does not heat properly and has no TIME BAKE setting. I will not purchase a Thermador product for my new house that we are building.Second: the cooktop SGSX365FS, cooks beautifully. Temps are easy to control, but cleaning is a bear. The star shaped burners make cleaning far more difficult than round ones, but the shape does cover the bottom of pots better than round ones. And the glass plate under the knobs is not sealed to the cooktop, and is not removable to clean spills that flow underneath it! Now there is thoughtful engineering. I use a pipe cleaner to sort of clean the under surface. Lastly, the micro-convection microwave-oven combination unit, model MCES, works as expected. We often use it to bake small meals and the temp is far more predictable than in the main oven... It does not bake bakery very well but that is not recommended by Thermador. My first Thermador kitchen was beautiful and fabulous to use. Current Thermador products are sorely lacking. Sad.

Thermador Dual Supply Range - PD484GGEBS-4 burnerOur Thermador Oven stopped working (oven) due to what they called a control board short issue. Thermador has no record for this issue and we were routed to a local repair (Gourmet Appliances). This was after 4 years of use. The control board materials to replace it was about $800 and installation just over $1000.Now after 5 years after a normal cleaning mode, the oven switched to automatically release the door after cleaning and was stuck. We are really concerned over the quality of this product; a professional series product. I have saved the original control board if you wish to pursue. I also urge action against Thermador for their quality problems and lack of quality service.

Our Pro Grand Steam Range leaked from day one. It went through major repairs and now the steam oven will not turn off. We have had major problems and Thermador refuses to replace. Repair is through the warranty is over a week away and we had to turn off the oven from the circuit breaker. Customer service has been awful!! Do not buy Thermador. We remodeled our kitchen and purchased all new expensive Thermador appliances in mid-2013. In mid November, 2014 the door on our dishwasher slammed down, as the hinge/spring/cable had broken. Both my husband and I were hit with the door, in trying to close the dishwasher door. Both times, resulted in our being bruised by the door!We called Thermador Customer Service (800)735-4328 for repair. We were told that the springs were on Quality Alert. Although, we had never heard from Thermador to advise us of this problem and had sent in our Product Registrations. It takes 3 weeks for repair service. The technician was unable to pull the dishwasher out and told us to call our contractor. We thought he may have been inexperienced and arranged for another technician. 3 weeks later, another technician comes out and he is also unable to remove the dishwasher.Another 3 weeks later, we now have our contractor come out to remove the dishwasher and he had absolutely no problem. The dishwasher has a rubber siding on each side of the unit and with a putty knife, he was able to easily slide the dishwasher out. Something a skilled and trained Thermador technician should be aware of and to handle. We live in the San Francisco Bay Area and there is an extreme shortage of qualified technicians, with service calls all seeming to be 3 weeks. It has now been over 2 months later since the problem was reported. Again, not our problem we created, but a Thermador Quality Alert problem! Today the 3rd technician has scheduled to be at our home between 12-4pm and I receive a call from him that he wont be coming because Thermador Parts Center in North Carolina, didnt send all the needed parts! We now have to wait again and since the dishwasher is pulled out, we cant even use it. I called Thermador again to report the problem and was seeking a corporate contact to advise them, but theres no corporate contact name or e-mail address and customer service was going to e-mail them (haha). Buyer beware and be truly informed of the products youre buying and their service (or lack of) records.

We purchased a Thermador convection 30 inch built in microwave double oven
We purchased a Thermador convection 30 inch built in microwave double oven when we did a complete remodel of our home back in 2001. The microwave broke the first day we used it. Broken glass ended up in my food. Service people replaced the glass, which subsequently broke again the second time we used the upper microwave. I was then informed by Thermador that the microwave actually was not meant to cook the food but just to keep it warm. I did not bother to fix the microwave again. The convection oven never worked welI. We tried multiple times and the food did not cook completely. The upper oven door is very heavy due to the combo microwave feature. The doors have broken three times over the years. We have replaced the hinges twice times since 2001: Once in Feb 2008 and again in Jan. 2014. We were informed by an independent service man that the Thermador hinges are defective and that the company has known about this for years but has failed to inform the consumer. The new hinges that I just purchased apparently are the same defective hinges that I purchased prior. The company has made better hinges because the doors are too heavy, but they do not sell these to consumers. All I asked Thermador was to replace the defective hinges with the improved version but they refused. When our oven broke on New Years Eve, we had a house full of guests. Our oven was 350 degrees and would not close would not close, and it was a hazard to our guests. Our neighbors helped us tie up the oven with rope to keep it from burning the children. We feel strongly that the Thermador oven is an inferior product.

I live in British Columbia, Canada. I have a Thermador gas stove PRSG304 which I love when it is working. It is the heart of my house. HOWEVER it requires replacement of switches and the BK igniter about every two years at a cost of about $300. So now we are looking at about $1,000 in repairs since I have had it. I have sucked that up, but now I cant even get service. This year, the local authorized repair guy took three weeks to come out, said hed order the parts and then never came back despite phone calls. The second authorized repair guy could also not get out for three weeks and then did not show up for scheduled appointments twice, also despite calls and confirmation, so I gave up on him. I finally got in touch directly with Thermador Canada. They sent out a guy three weeks ago who said he would provide me with an estimate and order the parts. Still no estimate for the repair. They say hes coming back on November 15th but I have no idea of what its going to cost. I have phoned them 4 times and still nothing even though they commit to getting back to me. I have now been without two burners and my oven for several months. Why on earth would I ever buy Thermador again???? All I have is a beautiful piece of junk in my kitchen.

When we remodeled our kitchen 4 years ago we purchased Thermador appliances
When we remodeled our kitchen 4 years ago we purchased Thermador appliances - 2 ovens, an induction stovetop, and a dishwasher. I called for repairs on the ovens right away. They did not cook to temperature. Sometimes it takes me twice as long to cook a recipe. When making cookies and the recipe say 12 minutes, I set the trimmer for 16. When the repair man got there he told me that I needed to learn to cook again and that the times on recipes were not right. I told him that if an oven cooked to temp, then if they say it is done in 30 minutes, then it should be. I was told that, This is the way German engineers wanted it. I guess they do not want their appliance to work accurately. So we called the factory show room in Burlingame and attended their cooking class. I kept asking them about my problem with the ovens not being on temp. There I was told that I needed to look up on a chart the weight of our food and what type of food it is to determine the cooking time and temp. I was told to never just turn the oven on but to always use the fast preheating setting. This is hog-wash. To this day my ovens do not cook to temp and baking anything is a gamble. I have been very disappointed with my Thermador ovens.

Our 7 year old built in fridge stopped keeping its temperature. A Thermador vetted tech found 2 gas leaks that were not repairable but explained that Thermador should provide us with a credit towards a new one. Customer service was nonexistent, they refused to provide a contact person and various agents kept asking for the same documents for over a month and a half (which were provided on day 1 with a confirmation of receipt) and not addressing our file. When we got tired of sending the same documents repetitively and getting the run around, we got angry and pushed for an answer. They offered us an insulting discount on the new model of our fridge. I expect some repairs to appliances but dont expect a 15k with tax fridge to not be repairable after 7 years and to have such a poor customer service experience from a luxury appliance company. Horrible experience and I wont be buying any other thermador products.

We moved into our home in 2007. Previous owner had just redone kitchen, went high end on appliances not knowing they were going to have job transfer. Recently Thermador downdraft fan stopped working properly. Figured it was out of warranty by now, I took a look to see if it was a switch I could replace - discovered it had a circuit board. I was shocked to see that the circuit board had started to melt along with the wires leading to it. I called Thermador, said I knew it must be out of warranty by now - but it seemed like a defect in manufacturing or design flaw and a fire hazard. After many calls, Thermador reluctantly agreed to send someone at their expense to diagnose. The technician informed me it happens all the time.I maintain for the amount of money spent on this type of product one should expect it to last longer than five or six years, and of all the appliances I have ever owned, it is the only one that has ever had a part that melted and posed a fire hazard. Thermador refuses to make good - it is out of warranty and it is normal wear and tear. I recorded my last conversation with Thermador. The audio, as well as pictures of the melted circuit board and wires and a video of it sparking and smoking can be found on you tube under the user **. I now have a stove in the middle of the kitchen with no ventilation. I want others - who own one of these or are contemplating the purchase of one - to understand the risk and I would like the Thermador to remedy the situation. I have not yet explored whether I am limited to a Thermador brand based on the dimensions of the hole in the granite countertop.

I purchased a 48 dual fuel Thermador range on July 20th 2016. It is now September 22nd and it still does not work. The first problem after setting up making connections and checking for gas leaks I found the third valve from the left had a gas leak at the main manifold. So the process of repair begins. What a mess.I call the authorized service facility four times trying to communicate with the repair technician so he would be able to order parts prior to traveling 110 mile to look at problem then return waiting 7-10 shipping days, two weeks, to get the part then make a return trip. After the fourth call I was told I had to call between 8:00 and 8:30 to be able to talk with the repairman. FINE! So I call the next day and explain where the leak is. He orders parts. After two and a half weeks he makes the trip. Upon removal and disassembly he sees, Yep I was correct. Then he opens box at job site. I remind you Im a 110 miles from the service station. So WRONG PART! Back to plan B.I chew on them and they promise to expedite the correct part and open the box prior to leaving the shop. I receive a call after one and a half weeks. They have the part and the box was opened and its correct. I am scheduled for the following Tuesday. So Monday arrives and I receive a call stating my parts will be on Thursday and Im scheduled for the following Tuesday. NO NO NO! Im scheduled for tomorrow. Nothing can be done no part! The serviceman arrives a week late and makes the repair. Before he leaves we have troubles with the two XLO burners on the two outsides of the stove top. He says I have a power problem and it was up to me to fix. Im an electrician and told him I didnt believe that. He returns to the shop. I pull the range back out and test. NO power problem! I try the small left-hand oven and I get ERROR TEMP PROBE, call some 1-800 number so I do. Yep Im in need of service. So back to the service station I go. Ive received a call stating the part is in. However the serviceman is on vacation until October 2nd and Im scheduled for the 4th.Ive tried several calls direct to Thermador. The last call I was told I would receive a call back on what they plan to do about this problem. This is the fourth day and no return call. I just want this thing out of my house and Im done with it! Outside of an attorney Im not sure what I am able to do. Im going to call consumer reports next. DONT ever buy one of these! Terrible quality control and even worse service network!

We purchased our Thermador gas range and oven when we remodeled our kitchen in 2005. We purchased a 48 professional range because I cook and bake a lot and have a lot of family to accommodate. This Thanksgiving my oven would heat but not hold a temperature. We had a repair tech come out and it is the thermometer. It shuts off the heating element when it reaches the desired temp. This part is discontinued by Bosch/Thermador rendering our perfectly good oven useless. The one part has made this oven and range obsolete. The companys customer service rep was awful and basically had nothing to say but that we should get a new one. I will NEVER buy a Thermador, Gagganau or Bosch product again. An $8000.00-$10,000 item rendered useless by a part and no customer service recourse.

After much research we purchased a higher end stove which at the time we paid over $6000 for. We remodeled an old farmhouse and built the kitchen around the stove. Soon after we had it we had to have a few service calls but that was no big deal. Now only four of the burners work and we called out a Thermador service tech who informed us they no longer make parts to fix it. I called the Thermador factory and talked with customer service who also stated they no longer made parts and told us we were out of luck and the stove is 19 years old. That is unacceptable to me. The attitude I received was shameful. Just because an appliance is nineteen years old should not make it obsolete. I assure you I will never purchase any Thermador product in my lifetime and I will ensure any family member will NOT purchase one either. It is hard for me to believe that that just quit making parts and it is not only for my model either, it is for numerous models they misrepresented when they sold them.

So, not only does the product suck, because it broke after 2 months. (this is a $10K model by the way, would expect better performance) But, the service package is AWFUL too. I purchased a high-end Thermador built in double oven. In total, this appliance was used less than 60 times. The oven would shut off and start beeping-- you would have to turn off main breaker and cross your fingers to restart it. I have had numerous people try to fix it-- to no avail. We live on Maui and the nobody wants to work on Thermadors or our piece of junk Viking refrigerator. We will save our money and buy our appliances at Sears or Lowes. Save your money.

Thermador does not stand behind its products or its service. I had a repair done and a faulty piece of equipment was installed. I know this because THE THERMADOR TECHNICIAN TOLD ME SO when he came out to replace my igniter a year and a half after I had mine replaced. He also told me to apply for a refund, because faulty equipment should not be subject to the one-year limit on the warranty. Thermador refused to stand by this, the technician changed his story, and I will never do business with them again. They are dishonest and horrible to deal with.

I remodeled my kitchen in July 2015. I was so excited when my Thermador Range arrived and was put into place. My daughter and I couldnt wait to use it! She started by baking cookies. She is an amazing baker. The cookies she baked in the Thermador came out very different. They were done on the outside and raw on the inside. Same thing every time she baked after that. She really thought she was losing her touch. Yesterday was Thanksgiving and I had 8 people coming for dinner. I couldnt wait to show off my new range! I put the Turkey in the oven at 11:30 on 325. At 5:30 it looked done on the outside but was raw on the inside. It was thoroughly thawed when I put it in the oven. As a matter of fact everything took twice as long to cook as it should have. After everyone went home and I was cleaning the kitchen I decided to put the self cleaning on. About 20 minutes later there was a big crash and shattered glass all over my kitchen floor!! The interior glass exploded!! I was so scared and in such shock! I started researching and realized there are so many problems with Thermador! I dont want to fix it. I just want it out of my house. I contacted an attorney and Im hoping I can give it back. I called the appliance place I bought it from and asked them to take it back. I told customer service I would purchase a Wolf and pay the difference. She laughed and said What are we supposed to do with the Thermador? Why Thermador is still in business I dont understand! I will never make a big purchase again without seeing the reviews first. I hope this saves someone else from making the big mistake I did.

Bought a full kitchen suite of commercial grade Thermador products in 2013. Got the one-two-free promotion so a great price point and other leading brands had equal pro/con review. Have had continual problems since day one; oven has been repaired 4 times for motherboard, temp dial, heating consistency, burners not igniting; freezer ice maker repaired 3 times for clogging ice buildup which shuts down the ice maker and needs to be re-set. Still clogs and quits but I have stopped calling for expensive repair visits and now turn off the freezer for 10 minutes to re-boot the ice maker every time it clogs (about every other month); refr has salad makings consistently condense and rot with water after two days.Read all the manuals, following instructions. Today needed to change out a bulb in the oven and find the lamp housing installed backwards in the very back of the oven, making it almost impossible to get a screwdriver in to pry the glass lens off (well, actually havent got this accomplished yet so maybe it is impossible). The auto-shut off for warming drawer (as part of range) has never worked. Repairman said he could replace drawer for $1,000 - think I will place a $.01 post it note on it for turn-off reminder. Products all look great - but look for other brands! I would not buy Thermador again and as an architect I have my clients look at any other brand first.

I bought a Pro Series Thermador Dual Fuel 8 years ago. First off, I will say I love the simmer burners. The best feature. However, everything else sucks about this range. The oven is awful, with inconsistent temps. Ive spent $2000 on repairs (3) and Christmas morning after I put breakfast brunch in the oven, it quit working. Ive had it with this piece of junk. I am only thankful that I did not pay the full price of $5800 when I bought it. If you need a high end range, get a Wolf. I am not spending another $800 for another repair on this thing.

I purchased $8000 Thermador oven that is worthless. The broiler function has never worked, and it does not heat evenly. The top igniter unit does not work. I have spent over $1500 in repairmen claiming they fixed the problem when in reality they never fixed anything. With a gas oven, how does one know if it is truly fixed? Do not buy Thermador. The company, the appliance center where we purchased the oven, and the repairmen were all of no help. Now we are stuck with this expensive oven that we cant even use. All items come out burnt on the bottom and completely raw on top.

I have a Thermador stove. The stove was very expensive and is a piece of junk. Never buy Thermador! The convection brain went out in the oven and I contacted service. Service came and told me the brain went out and I would need a new one. I tried to order it but they would never call me back. Does Thermador service even exist? When I am in a store selling Thermador and see people looking at them I run over and tell them what crap they are. When a person puts this kind of money into something they expect it to work. The service guy asked me if I really needed the convection bake system. Really? Buy a different brand. Fortunately only my stove is Thermador. The rest of the stuff is good.

Thermador 48 double oven ,4 burner, grill and griddle - We remodeled our kitchen in 2005, and I purchased what I thought was the best cooking appliance available. I was sadly mistaken. The small left side oven no longer works properly and can only be used as a warming drawer. The temperature will no longer go above 120 degrees. The part needed to repair this I am told is $900 plus labor. I doubt if I have used this oven more than 25 times since it was installed. I’m very dissatisfied since the oven we replaced (not Thermador) had worked perfectly since 1986.

We purchased a group of Thermador appliances in 2016 when renovating our kitchen. We thought that we were purchasing high quality reliable appliances and we could not have been more wrong. Our double wall ovens have malfunctioned since 2017. Every year these ovens stop working and we have to pay out between $450-$900 each time even after these ovens were supposedly repaired before the warranty ran out. This year we had service on August 24 and paid $927.00 for a new relay panel. Now on November 18, 2021, within three months, we have to have both fans replaced at a cost of $864.00. The fans have already been replaced multiple times and contact with Thermador, the local rep and the retailer have produced either no response or sorry we dont deal with service issues. On top of this the Thermador dishwasher purchased at the same time requires a new motor. We have been careful with these appliances, do not put the self clean on too frequently and try to be mindful of usage. I would run for the hills before purchasing Thermador or any products under the same manufacturer-I feel we were sold a very expensive bill of goods-abominable!

Weve owned our oven for over 10 years. Ive loved using this Thermador oven. Two years ago, the oven would beep continuously after its turned off. The only way to sop it was to literally pull the electric switch to the oven on the outside of the house. Weve had many repairs... new control panel, oven hinges, new seals, more tech repair visits, you name it. Nothing has stopped this beeping. Evidentially, the oven heats up and hit the panel sensors somehow and the beeping begins! Im frustrated and disappointed in Thermador. Customer service acts as though Im the only person this is happening to. Shame on them! As much as I loved this ovens capabilities, I have to say that Ill never purchase a Thermador again!

Thermador oven would not ignite. So I called Thermador Los Angeles to schedule a tech visit. The earliest they could come was 10 days later. Technician diagnosed the problem but did not have the part. 4 days later on 2nd visit he could not find the part and told me his company did not order it. 2 weeks later they told me to expect 3rd visit from same Technician. After waiting past schedule hours I decided to call Tech myself. Unfortunately poor guy felt bad because he did not have the part even for 3rd visit about 40 day after initiated service call. After I called company to complain I was told that the back ordered part is expected to arrive on April 1st. This would 3 month and no one told me about back order. Finally after talking with someone in charge I was promised a call back on Monday following week to work out some kind of deal with their partners that had that part. AND NO ONE CALLED, what horrible experience to wait 3 month for a part?? Needless to say I would never recommend the brand that I spend good money for and cant get customer service that is run by incompetent staff.

Remodeled kitchen 3 yrs ago & installed all Thermador appliances. Even though the built-in refrigerator didnt work from the time they installed it they would not replace it until they tried to repair it! So we basically went without a refrigerator for 2 months because it was not repairable and had to order a new one! The microwave went out a month after the warranty expired. Thermador did agree to honor the warranty. Repairman had to order part which took 6 wks. I was out of town when he came to repair. My son was home. When I returned I noticed dark spots & small dents on the front. After trying to clean spots off with no luck, I asked my son if he saw him work on the microwave and if he was rough with it to cause the damage. My son said he brought another microwave in. I called Thermador. After giving the serial # I was informed the unit was a 2008 model. My oven was a 2011. They asked for pictures of damage which was sent. No one from Thermador came to look or call me about complaint. I get a call saying the claim was closed because from the pictures I sent they couldnt see the damage. I asked about the fact that I got a used 2008 damaged unit. They said it was brand new! I told them that was fine but I would be warning others! Finally the Thermador rep called & asked what I wanted. I said, My microwave back and fixed. They did replace it with a new one. However exactly a year later the clock has stopped working which is what quit before the entire unit quit. Soooo, 2 weeks ago our gas oven quit working! I told my husband I refuse to call any of Thermadors licensed repairman and to just rip it out & go buy a Kenmore!!! He got online and chatted with someone that told him what could be the problem & how to repair himself. Ordered the part and tore the oven apart & fixed it himself!

I purchased a $6250 (current retail price) 30 inch freezer column in 2009 when we built our home. 18 months after installation, the ice maker ceased working. No warranty. The freezer failed to cool 6 weeks ago. The part necessary to rectify the problem was also not covered -- just like the ice maker. We opted not to replace the ice maker, which would have resulted in a $700 charge and we paid approximately $350 to repair the current issue. It is unacceptable, and really borders on criminal, to incur these types of failures on a unit this new at a high end price point. I have an old GE fridge/freezer in the garage that was only several hundred dollars that is still working after 25 years. Shame on Thermador. I have several other Thermador appliances that are suboptimal. The Bosch washer died last Christmas after six service calls. Dont purchase Thermador or Bosch. You will be sorry!

We bought Thermador appliances throughout four years ago when re-modeling our kitchen. Never again. Thermador is junk, its priced two or three times what a normal appliances cost, and they dont last as long as a typical Hotpoint. Our double wall ovens, model PODC302, ($5,700) have had temperature-accuracy problems after a year of use. Weve had thermostats replaced. We will likely need the control panel to be replaced (thats $1,500). The ovens currently either heat to 500+ degrees when set to 250-300 or they dont heat at all, ruining another holiday dinner. Our microwave, model MBES, ($1,500) has a door-open button made out of taffy -- replaced twice so far and failing again. The dishwasher works, and the $11,000 built-in fridge/freezer only required two service calls to work properly. So far. So thats 50% of the stuff that doesnt work. Never, ever buy Thermador. Their products are astronomically-priced trash, their support is nonexistent, and their replacement part costs are straight out of the Porsche parts-pricing school. Live and learn.

Spent a lot of money on a built in ref/freezer from Thermador. Now that summer is here I have come to learn the ice maker only makes between 100-125 ice cubes/24hr. I find myself running to buy more ice as everyone wants ice in their summer drinks. This was never an issue with the Whirlpool freezer I basically wore out after 20 years. ALWAYS had plenty of ice as the maker would make ice when the lever was down signaling low ice. If I had known this I probably would have bought something else... cheaper worked well. Absolutely stunned at the extreme cost of this and the poor quality of the product. Thermador positions their products as being high-end and good quality, but their products including this freezer are the worst quality I have experienced. The freezer was brand new three months ago but wouldnt come out of demo mode which meant we couldnt use it. They had to send their repairman to come out and take it out of demo mode. He did that and then it turned on but the freezer doesnt get cold enough (meaning liquid ice cream), alarm keeps going of even when the doors are closed, and the ice maker and water system dont work. I called customer service again and they sent a repair guy. He tried some things but couldnt get it all to work so he said he had to leave for his next appointment so suggested we try something else ourself and if that didnt work itd have to be replaced. Guess what? Still didnt work. (And him leaving without resolving it should give you some idea of the customer service support you can expect.) Even after numerous repair appointments, its still not functioning and never has. Its brand new and we have a warranty on it and bought the extended warranty too (since they are so expensive.) Their customer service team has literally been zero help continuing to tell me that they will get back to me with a decision from management within 48 hours. A decision on what? --Whether or not they are willing to replace it or if they are going to send another repair person. Ive heard that line every few days for almost two months. Ive been without a working freezer since it was installed three months ago. After calling to check on the decision, they continue to say they will let management know I called and get back to me with a decision in 48 hours. They are a company that has no intention of honoring their warranties or in providing great quality products like they try to position them as. They dont work, their repair team is not knowledgeable and the customer service team will give you the runaround. Absolutely NOT worth the cost. I will never buy one of their products again.

When we built this house in 1975, we built a space for the Thermador with a single oven, a microwave and a warming drawer. I dont recall when it died or what killed it, but while it required repairs from time to time, it gave us good service for a number of years. Since we had the hole in the wall to fill and were satisfied with Thermador, we bought a modern version of our first Thermador for about $5000.00!! Another way to say that is that we bought a piece of CRAP from a company that doesnt give a rats ass about their stuckees. Our microwave failed. I called Thermador. Not only could they not sell me a replacement, the customer service rep would not even tell me where or how to get one. We finally found out from other Thermador stuckees, that there are number of name brand replacements that cost only a few hundred dollars. All that is required is a replacement the same size. We had a professional do it and I watched him work with some metal tape to seal the exhaust duct. But there is no electrical work required. It just plugs in to a receptacle inside the cavity which houses it. We ended up with a Whirlpool we got from Lowes. It fits like a glove! We were not so lucky with our main oven. They never got it fixed! The main oven gave us no problem until one evening we had guests over. I set the steaks to broil and a few minutes later, I opened the door to determine that they were cold and uncooked. Our outdoor grill saved the day. Although the oven worked on all other settings I failed on the height setting. Recommended for broiling steak and hamburger. It also failed on sausage. The oven operated on high broil for about 5-6 minutes and then cut itself off. When the door was opened, a huge amount of smoke poured out. A Thermador authorized repairman came out. Mind you this was the first time anyone had been into the oven circuitry since we bought it. He found a clearly amateurish setup where wires were tied together with friction tape. Was that done at the Thermador factory? We were, as I recall beyond the warranty cutoff date. He replaced a circuit board for a couple hundred bucks. That did no good! Then he replaced a Thermocouple for over a hundred bucks. That did no good. This poor guy came at least a half dozen times. Each time he consulted with the Thermador experts on the phone - all to no avail. Then he retired! The authorized repair company sent another guy out. He played with it for a couple hour and finally concluded that the owners manual was wrong in their instructions on where to put the meat. He noted that the steaks could be placed on a lower rack, like rack 4 instead of 6 and the steaks would do just as well. And that contrary to what the manual said and contrary to the fact that it worked fine using the recommended settings prior to the first failure - that was the way this clown insisted the oven was supposed to work. With that he came up with a $250 bill for his time. That was about a year ago. I hope hes still holding his breath. Each failure was accompanied by a tremendous amount of smoke. There is no internal exhaust system, but the experts couldnt explain the smoke accompanying the failure. I dont have the answer but we have found that while we get a failure and a lot of smoke and a failure with the rack at level 6. Hi Broil. We get no failure and less smoke (of course) with the rack set at level 6 Hi Convection Broil. So through no fault of Thermador, we can broil steaks almost like the user manual recommends.

I just purchased Thermador/Bosch appliances for our newly constructed/remodeled home. I regret it already. The refrigerator needed a replacement part at installation. This should have been a blazing red flag. 3 months after installation, the dishwasher stopped functioning. The part is on back order for so long that they are giving me a replacement, but it will take another 3 weeks. I will be out of a dishwasher for approximately 8 weeks. I have an infant meaning that I have to hand wash all bottles/breast pump parts non-stop. The customer service is garbage - the four (yes, count them, four) women I have spoken to are all rude and it appears that their employees take vacation every other day (at least that is what they have been attributing repeated lack of responsiveness). We paid a little over $25K for Thermador appliances and have had this equipment for almost three years. Our experience has been very poor. Given the price point, the equipment is unbelievably terrible. i.e. Our GE Profile appliances in our prior house had ZERO issues in 5 years and the equipment was 4 years old when we moved it. Thermadors customer support is difficult to reach. Theyre techs act like their is not a larger issue at hand even after youve called them 5 - 7 times over the same issue.1. Double Oven (digital version): The double oven is either too hot or too cold (weve called Thermador 5 - 7 times and every time they come out their techs say Our ovens are within tolerance if they are 25 degrees over or under the set temperature! Literally, the $400 Magic Chef oven/stove top that I grew up with had a more accurate and consistent oven temperature than the Thermador.2. Stove top and Fridge: These havent been so bad. The stove top had some issues with flames not burning even, which was resolved with new hardware. The fridge hinge wore into the plastic which was super annoying.3. Dishwasher: Three years into use, this dishwasher stopped working. Weve spend $500 in repairs and the non-Thermador tech said that Thermador appliances are known to have maintenance issues. Dishwasher will not run. First the pump stopped working, but it turned out there was a wire loose. Now we need a new electronic panel--Im throwing this thing out and buying a Miele or Asko.4. Customer Service: No joke there are times that Ive waited for 30 - 50 minutes to reach customer support. Thermador techs tend to be arrogant and believe their equipment is the best (which wouldnt be a big deal if Thermadors appliances backed up it).I would not recommend Thermador--youd be better off buyings anything/something cheap from Lowes or Home Depot.

We bought a Thermador double wall oven 5 years ago among many other appliances when redoing our kitchen and almost every time we use the self-clean feature, it goes into error mode and breaks the control board, the motor, or something else. We have had multiple repairmen out, including Thermador themselves, and each time it costs between $250-$350 dollars to service. I tried speaking to upper management from Thermador several times and they basically ignored my issue and told me it was too bad and they would not replace the unit. It was a good size for me because I live alone, but if you have family members I recommend a bigger one. However I found it useful and very spacious for my personal needs. It worked fine like any other freezer. The ice machine worked just fine as well and I never had any issues with it. Overall it was perfect for me. I do not care much for the way a freezer looks. The freezer though went perfectly with my kitchen and fit just right with the counter tops. I believe I paid a fair price for it. I also thought that for how long it lasted that it was worth the price and the time it took to install it.

The oven self-clean never worked. I am going on my 4th ERC mother board. Ive replaced sensors, cooling fans, thermostats. Thermador refuses to take responsibility for this product that never worked properly. Currently, its not working again and they want me to pay to have it repaired again. Im so disgusted. That oven was $7,000+. If anyone wants to start a class action, I am in!

The oven stopped heating and the repair company said we need a new control board. Guess what, Thermador no longer makes the part so the oven needs to be replaced. After talking Thermador customer support guy, I was told that I need to replace the three piece combo even the microwave and warmer are still working. Can you imagine the quality and service they provide for such a high end appliance? My old oven kept working for 30 years. They just assuming we can throw everything out and get new ones every few years? I just dont trust them. Does anyone on this board have gone through similar ordeal? Is it possible to only replace the broken oven? It seems to me these have separate controls and why we have to replace all of them when just one thing breaks. Thanks in advance for any help or suggestion.

Thermador -Unless you enjoying seeing F-34 codes on the panel, do not buy! Their products are suppose to be a higher end brand of appliances and the cost goes right along with that. I have a Thermador built in double wall oven. I cannot tell you how many control panels I have had replaced at $486 each plus labor! Tack on the relay and touch panel replacements, Ive clearly spent more on the repairs than the outrageously priced oven. I had an authorized Thermador service company here. After following the advice of THERMADOR tech. (who was on speaker phone,) they decided to replace the control panel. That was done but it did not fix the problem. So now trying a display panel BUT once an electronic part is opened it cannot be returned. So $486 down the drain. When panel was connected something happened with electric and everything went out. Now they say I need relay, control and display! NO THANK YOU!!I have never written a negative comment on any appliance before and probably would not have bothered with this, but the poor customer service was worse than the actual horrible oven. When I called customer service, I can tell that she was not interested in what I had to say. All service call copies were emailed to the email address given with a case number she gave me. I followed up 3 days later and of course they said customer service gave me the wrong email address. Back to square 1. No working oven, in the middle of a pandemic with a family of 6 and only a cooktop and microwave. Thank goodness my cooktop is a Viking. Never had a service call on it. I am purchasing a new wall oven. I would love to drop this off at Thermadors doorstep. Purchasing a new oven. Needless to say it will not be a Thermador.

We purchased a Thermador Pro Harmony 36 range in 2010 and have been disappointed with it ever since. It was purchased as part of a kitchen remodel package and all 3 Thermador appliances purchased have been replaced over the 7 years we had them, except our oven which only performs sporadically. The griddle stopped working after a year, the circuit board has been replaced, the burner ignitors have been replaced, the broiler function no longer works and the oven door hinges no longer work to keep the door shut. We literally have to push a stool up against the door when we use the oven to keep the door closed. Thermador says they no longer make hinges since the oven is discontinued. And, they couldnt even provide me the name of a parts company to order new hinges. Apparently the hinges are no longer available, anywhere! They are worthless! DO NOT BUY THERMADOR!

These stoves are expensive. They’re supposed to work. There is supposed to be rapid customer service. The griddle is calibrated on both sides. It’s not. The stove goes up to high temps or can’t keep the temp. The range and wall ovens reset. It is supposed to be a motherboard issue. I’m very frustrated as we can’t cook. Family of six and we can’t cook. The stove turn off in the middle of the bake or resets or can’t keep the temp. If it does t lock up and you can’t open the door.

In 1993 a 30 dual fuel RDSS30 was installed in a custom home. We bought the house in 1998. Within 2 years the front panel would start to blink. This turned into the panel shutting down. We were told back then that we could not get the computer panel. My husband just happened to find a floor model of the same stove so we purchased another RDSS30 not realizing this was a chronic problem with Thermador. Within a year the computer panel would start blinking then the oven would just randomly shut off. We never even used the self clean feature being afraid the extra heat would make it worse. Now it is to the point where the number are so dim you cannot see them unless you are in the dark. The oven will not heat beyond around 300. It shuts off without warning. How can a 5 year old $5000 stove not be able to be fixed? There are outside companies that offer the service to rebuild the boards. So why cant Thermador? I will tell you why. They do not give a damn.

I purchased my Thermador side by side refrigerator in 2010 (along with an oven and microwave wall unit). Recently, my refrigerator has started to malfunction. I called their customer service center and had them give me numbers (at least 8) for authorized repair centers. This proved useless as not even a Thermador certified technician will come to work on my unit. After several phone calls to the Thermador customer service number and reminding them that they guarantee after-warranty service anywhere in Canada, they asked me to provide photos proving that I, in fact, owned a Thermador fridge. This ludicrous request being met (who would waste time and energy calling a Thermador 1-800 number if they owned another brand), they now say that I actually need to call Whirlpool because it is Whirlpool that makes this Thermador fridge. This company is not even willing to take ownership and responsibility of their very own branded product. A product for which they put their stamp on and charge big money. They have passed the problem onto someone else!!

We purchased a Thermador T18IF900SP3 which is a stand alone freezer column
We purchased a Thermador T18IF900SP3 which is a stand alone freezer column in November of 2017. Periodically the high temp alarm would go off with readings around 29-33 degrees. It happened intermittently for several months so I finally called Thermador and connected us with their service representatives in our area, St Louis Appliance Repair. Visit one was exploratory and a new board needed and ordered. A week-ish later part comes in and we schedule a visit in a few days. The tech comes out for visit two but the board did not work properly so the old one was put back in and another one ordered. The freezer continued to work with an occasional high temp warning. Visit three is a mirror image of visit 2. Yes a second board that does not work at all apparently. The old one is put back in (again) and the freezer works as good as before. On visit 4 (Tuesday before Memorial Day) the new board is installed and supposedly works because the tech leaves it in but says the molex connector has a crimped connection. He takes pictures and sends to Mike ** at Thermador which is apparently Bosch or owned by Bosch. The next morning the high temp alarm is ringing away and the freezer is 60 degrees and food melted so we chuck it all out. It is now Friday - 4 days later - and Mike ** has apparently still not gotten back to St. Louis Appliance Repair. I have called both S.T.A.R. and Thermador every day since Wednesday only to get another person saying Im sorry... or Were sorry... but we are awaiting for a decision from the factory, we are awaiting a decision from management on replacement, we are awaiting on a decision from Mike **, we are awaiting a decision for the tech, we dont have your proof of purchase, No we dont need your proof of purchase as St. Louis Appliance Repair will send it, (said Nakia) but they did NOT so I sent it, We dont have the notes from St Louis Appliance Repair says Thermador... What a never-ending run-around of poor customer service and process malfunction. So if you ask me if you should go with Thermador for your new kitchen? I WOULD SAY NO!!! And Bosch? If you own Thermador then how about Bosch for your new kitchen? PLEASE DONT! We spent a fortune on all Thermador appliances. I would NEVER do it again. So here we are about 5 weeks after St Louis Appliance Repairs first visit with the freezer working worse than before I made that fateful call for help. Will it ever get fixed? Not sure. Our family is coming in for Memorial Day Weekend for Moms 90th Birthday and to see the new kitchen. Thermador your broken freezer will be propped open and shut off so it doesnt smell like mildew. Thanks.

I spent $3629 on a Thermador C272ZS double wall oven in October 2003. It has never worked correctly since that time, despite more than a dozen service calls from factory authorized reps, some in warranty and some since warranty ended. Perpetual F33, F34 and, more recently, F24 error codes. It turns off on its own, the interior lights blink on and off on their own, and now this incessant beeping about an hour after cooking has ended. Interior cooking temp is always off by about 30% verified with oven thermometer. The thing frightens me enough that I turn off the breaker when leaving for more than a day. No one seems to be able to fix it. There are countless complaints about this problem on-line and it seems as though the company should compensate owners. My husband has been very ill the last two years and unable to work, so I dont relish the idea of buying a new oven at this time. I would never ever buy Thermador again.

If the other 300+ poor reviews dont deter you, perhaps this one will. I purchased a 6 burner range top from Pacific Sales along with a double convection oven. Out of the box, one of the burner keeps clicking and sparking. I phoned Thermador customer service immediately, they gave me an authorized tech. I called, he came and determined it must be a spark module problem. He returned to basically disassemble the entire stove, replacing not only the spark module, but wires as well. Took over 2 hours of trying to figure out the problem That didnt work. I felt I had the right as a customer to not have my new kitchen torn apart to figure a problem that lies with the manufacturer. I called and wrote to supervisors to evoke lemon law. No, they tell me that I needed to allow them 3 to 4 times to willy-nilly take apart the range and not figure out the issue. I rejected this. After 2 weeks of letter writing, emailing, and phone conversations, I agreed to let them do another repair. The tech they sent has been here for over an hour as I write this review, still trying to figure out the issue as if my stove is some sort of test for the tech. Really Thermador? Im just waiting for them to make good on their promise of replacing the range. Oh the tech they sent just knocked over a part and scratched up my brand new cabinet.

We remodeled our kitchen and purchased Thermador appliances to the tune of $18,000. I cant remember being more disappointed. The $8000 refrigerator arrived with rust on the handles. The local service contractor sent by Thermador to replace the handles scratched the panel necessitating service visits 2 and 3 within our first few weeks of ownership. Not long after the panels were replaced, the ice maker stopped working. Three additional service visits later, we still dont have ice. Weve owned the appliances for a little over two months, have had six service calls, each requiring that we give a three hour window. The ice maker has worked a grand total of about 10 days in those two months. Calls to Thermadors customer service department prove to be most unsatisfactory as they dont return promised phone calls. Who knows if well ever get ice. Im thanking my lucky stars that we purchased the retailers extended service agreement for all our appliances. I would recommend that you look elsewhere for your premium appliances as Thermadors customer service is undoubtedly not up to par for appliances in this price range.

When I preheat the oven, before it reaches desired temp, the really noisy fan comes on and stays on until long after I turn off the oven. I bought quiet DW as well as a quiet washing machine. My very expensive Thermador wall oven has been giving me an F-34 error code. When going online, I see we are one of many consumers experiencing the poor quality of this companys product. As frustrating as it is to need to call out a repairman, even more frustrating is that with so many of us having the issue, the parts are no longer available (or were ever available?) to fix the error. Our home came w/a Thermador three piece microwave, warming drawer, and wall oven. The home is now 10 years old and the microwave has stopped working on the three piece unit. I was shocked to learn that you have to replace the entire unit for nearly $6,000 because they no longer make replacement parts. The rep on the phone was nice but explained that in order to keep up w/ technology they dont make replacement parts for things like microwaves. I guess when you buy a Thermador you should remember that it is unlikely you will get replacement parts and if you buy a three piece unit you will need to replace the entire thing if one component breaks. The rep seemed surprised that I would be upset about this... I guess they really only expect their products to last up to 10 years. That isnt very long for such an expensive high-end product. No more Thermadors for me or the new home I am building. Will call the appliance store and change my order stat!

We purchased a high end Thermador Dishwasher 3 years and 10 months ago. We had a Whirlpool dishwasher that lasted about 12 years, which we replaced with a nice KitchenAid that lasted about 7 years. We then decided to upgrade to a high end Dishwasher in December of 2015. We purchased a Thermador Stainless Steel Dishwasher because we were told it was a much higher quality machine than the Whirlpool or KitchenAid and it would outlast them all. It lasted only 3 years and 10 months before the heating coil quit working last week. Now it only washes with cold water and grease or butter stays on the silverware and plates. I called our local repair service and they said to contact Thermador because many companies will go ahead and cover repairs within a couple years of the warranty expiration. I called Thermador and they will not cover the repair diagnostic visit nor the parts if it is the heat coil, which is what the error code says that it is. I asked the representative to ask the supervisor again and he said we would have to pay for the first repair visit and he may consider covering 50% of the part ($54) only. I was shocked that the Thermador quit working only after 3 years 10 months of light use by only 2 people (1/3 of the time of the Whirlpool that had heavier use at that time) and then that Thermador wouldnt cover the complete repair even when asked nicely twice. I wanted to make sure others were aware and warned before they pay extra for a Thermador Dishwasher that may only last a couple years.

My thermostat went out in my larger oven and I struggled to get it fixed as the self-cleaning feature was based on a mercury-based system and that was determined illegal prior to my range malfunction. So, no one initially wanted to help me in Customer Service. My original guy was super rude. My local contractor was frustrated as the parts sent were wrong two times.Ironically, after Mister rude customer service man and a follow up call by me, I got a lot of support from Thermador as I guess they do listen to the customer service calls. My contact at Thermador alleviated the cost of the new thermostat that was legal without mercury. Yes, I gave up my self-cleaning forever, a bummer. My local contractor came out several times to get it right. I wasnt the nicest about it as I was so frustrated to spend around $8000 for an appliance and hood and just 9 years in, they said it was obsolete and had no warranty. End of the day, in 2011, after the repair before Thanksgiving, it didnt get to temperature again. Turkey was ruined. The local service came and did one more fix after reconnecting with Thermador and discovered they sent the wrong repair information, final repair was in December 2011. Ever since then, cooking is going great. Knowing I could put in my turkey last Thursday and knowing it would be perfect, which it was, was awesome. I feel like I got my 75% of original purchase back(!) less the self-cleaning. Thanks for monitoring mean customer service reps and being pro active! Please forward this to my local repair company. Their response was to call service department if power cycling for 15 minutes doesnt do anything. Then to talk to the power company about fixing the issue with power (like they can control weather). The repair man couldnt fix it after 2 months of working with him and Thermador. In the meantime, the repair man reinstalled the oven door poorly and it does not completely close. The warming drawer also does not heat evenly. After 2 plus months working with Thermador management, which never responds or finds resolution, and their certified repair companies, I am still without a microwave, oven and warming drawer that work properly.I have asked for my money back and they insist that I continually waste my time on the phone and at home waiting for someone to figure out how to repair the problem. I have a full time job and cannot spend endless days on trial and error. The management does not reach out to me with a better solution. I have to chase them. Each time there is a new person/manager with no follow up. When you pay that much money for quality, you would expect top notch products and customer service. Stay away from Thermador. The new ovens have a software issue according to Thermador and do not accurately show the preheat temperature of the ovens. The software fix timeframe is not yet known. Dont buy this oven.

I guess Im lucky. I havent had a disaster with our convection double oven. We bought ours, used about 6 years ago, from a house that was being gutted and remodeled. It was a 95 model and I was thrilled to be getting an updated, and convection oven. Now, Im nervous about keeping it and having something disastrous happen from all of these other posts. I was only trying to find a replacement knob and was frustrated at not being able to find one since they are no longer manufactured. Our oven was very difficult to install. My husband and father were able to cut the holes into the attic and vent it properly, but it has never cooked evenly, even using convection, and it always takes 30-45 minutes longer to cook anything like casseroles or meatloaf, anything denser.

Thermador Professional GAS range with Non-functioning grill is NOT supporte
Thermador Professional GAS range with Non-functioning grill is NOT supported by Thermador, nor do local-Detroit, Michigan, professional appliance repair people know how to repair nor source parts for this range. Speaking with Thermador design engineers in Calif. does NOT provide a solution to: Grill VALVE not functioning, Thermador does not offer a replacement valve, they do not manufacture the valves anymore. This is a $10,000 range. Thermador has told me to scrap this 6 foot wide stainless steel, double oven, 6 burner range and purchase a new one versus simply offering to REPAIR this unit. Do NOT buy Thermador, go commercial.

I have a refrigerator and freezer combo, everything works fine but there is a clicking noise that recently started that my dog is reacting to. It happens twice a day for about 30 minutes and there is one click about every 5 minutes, seems like it is coming from the bottom. Had a repairman to the house, said everything is fine and I cant diagnose it since I dont hear it and of course it happened again the second he left. I dont care but my dog freaks out every time this happens. Anyone out there have any clue what this could be and how to stop it? No warning lights or error messages at all. Thanks!

As with others, we spent a lot of money on this over/under oven. Looks nice but the internal design is awful. Its been 4 years now and we have had to replace the control boards 3 times already... and it died again a week ago. There is NO support for Thermador appliances in the Dallas area. Parts cost as much as the original unit almost if you can find them. I have replaced the faulty boards 3 times so far, but Im too tired to deal with this anymore. The analog & digital boards run about $600... 3 sets are enough for a new oven. Its a giant rip-off. Where is the quality design & service... missing totally. Were going to purchase a new oven now and it wont be Thermador. In 50 years, I have never experienced such poor design and support. I cant believe Thermador is still in business!

I have had a dual fuel range for nine years. I have put two panels, replaced the igniters two times, and I am lighting them with a lighter once again. Ive replaced the door lock for the clean cycle, the bottom element once, and now it is bad again. When is enough? I have to give up investing in this horrible appliance. Thermador does nothing to help.

We had a large Thermador freezer that was not new. The connection to the water/ice line failed, leaked and created significant damage to our floor, subfloor, related drywall and painted surfaces below the freezer. We followed Thermador’s straightforward claim process. The dollars were meaningful. They (their insurance company) were fair, responsive and totally professional. What a pleasant surprise. From now on, we do everything Thermador.

I purchased a $6000 Thermador range, the leg covers were wrong size. I called the non-existent customer service, after waits of 45 min or more I talked to the installation hotline which is actually an ignorant whose only purpose is to transfer the call customer service. Once with customer service, you realized they are as ignorant about their product as the previous person, they decide to send a technician who came to my house a week later and could not install the leg covers. Of course no follow up, so after several calls and long period of waiting on hold, Thermador finally said I had to buy new covers because the unit I bought was a floor model and they are not responsible for missing or wrong parts on floor models. Stay away from Thermador.

I had purchased Thermador double ovens in 2015 for a kitchen renovation & it was excellent. Moved & purchased Thermador double ovens for a kitchen renovation in 2017 & the NEW DESIGN is HORRIBLE! A fan constantly blows hot air into the kitchen until the oven is turned off & completely cooled down. There are alerts during cooking but the explanation disappears in a split second so if you are not right in front of it, you have no idea what the alert is! The oven timer bings low at its highest setting & ONLY ONCE! The baking mode bakes unevenly so everything needs to be rotated! I’m so incredibly disappointed! Customer service is as disappointing as the double ovens!

I bought the stove in late August 2021, first call for service in September
I bought the stove in late August 2021, first call for service in September, November repair replacing 2 burners, gas jets, module, cover, ignition. One week later 2 burners not working, small oven not working. Large oven not heating evenly. Where I bought it said call Thermador customer service and request a new stove. Called Thermador, got a case number, supplied all info, received an email saying I need a tech to diagnose that it is not operating properly -- da dude! No techs in Vermont are even returning calls, the store I brought it from says Thermador responds to customers. Not them. Wow $12 --!3,000.00 for a new stove that is 3 months old and this is the service one receives. !!!Dont Do It. Buy Something Else!!! Terrible! Nothing good to say about this stove, the service and the company.
