Our 7 year old built in fridge stopped keeping its temperature. A Thermador vetted tech found 2 gas leaks that were not repairable but explained that Thermador should provide us with a credit towards a new one. Customer service was nonexistent, they refused to provide a contact person and various agents kept asking for the same documents for over a month and a half (which were provided on day 1 with a confirmation of receipt) and not addressing our file. When we got tired of sending the same documents repetitively and getting the run around, we got angry and pushed for an answer. They offered us an insulting discount on the new model of our fridge. I expect some repairs to appliances but dont expect a 15k with tax fridge to not be repairable after 7 years and to have such a poor customer service experience from a luxury appliance company. Horrible experience and I wont be buying any other thermador products.

Thermador Professional GAS range with Non-functioning grill is NOT supported by Thermador, nor do local-Detroit, Michigan, professional appliance repair people know how to repair nor source parts for this range. Speaking with Thermador design engineers in Calif. does NOT provide a solution to: Grill VALVE not functioning, Thermador does not offer a replacement valve, they do not manufacture the valves anymore. This is a $10,000 range. Thermador has told me to scrap this 6 foot wide stainless steel, double oven, 6 burner range and purchase a new one versus simply offering to REPAIR this unit. Do NOT buy Thermador, go commercial.

We got an error message on our Thermador range (Product Number PRL486JDG) today. A circuit breaker was flipped by accident and this caused the error message. We called Thermador for help, and the solution they offered did not work. Service is scheduled for 12/2, so I dont have my oven for Thanksgiving! We have had nothing but trouble with this range since we bought it. Its a terrible product, unreliable and service is hard to come by. I regret this purchase.

My husband and I purchase a stove and a hood from Thermador. We had been remodeling our home for the past two months. In the process we ordered a hood which in turn needed a motor. The motor was shipped to us, which seemed in good condition. It was not until we installed the motor it was not working properly. I called Thermador and spoke to Kayla who in turn told me if we did not have a technician install the product then they would not refund the motor. The motor was obviously defective and or broken before - how would we have known unless installing the unit. Now she stated her manager could do nothing for us. This was very upsetting after spending thousands on a stove and now this motor doesn’t work for the hood - its setting us back another $350 dollars. The customer service I received is poor! Inexcusable when Thermadors product was defective. And they do not want to reimburse or exchange the product. Fan motor **.

Let me count the ways I am fed up with Thermador. I purchased a package of expensive thermador appliances. The oven has not worked since the day I bought it—2 years ago. The service is next to non existent. Was supposed to have a service call today and when I called the service # (after being on hold over half an hour) and asked to speak to the supervisor, the rep hung up. Can’t speak with anyone with authority to do something. Can’t believe I will actually have to purchase a new oven

We had a Thermador double oven in our old house, dont remember the model number, purchased in about 2000. About 4 years into ownership we began to get fault codes. Cycling the power would restore operation but the problem became more frequent. Thermador were non-responsive to be polite about it. Im an electronics hobbyist so I pulled the circuit boards out myself. I found that they used a significant number of electrolytic capacitors. These are heat sensitive devices with a specified lifetime. I checked and found that 80% of the electrolytic capacitors were at end of life, displaying either a high esr or low capacitance or both. I replaced the capacitors with higher temperature rated and higher quality ones at a total cost of $15. Problems solved and unit was working well when we sold the house about 5 years ago. The local appliance repair shop wanted north of $500 to visit and replace the boards, no prizes for guessing what I told them.We purchased, maybe regretfully, a new model double oven Thermador for our new house that we moved into 5 years ago. Yeah, I know doing the same thing and expecting different results etc. It is now Christmas Eve and the oven has had to be re-started twice so far. Hopefully it will hang on and produce Christmas dinner before totally crapping out. I will then get into the guts and Ill bet every Christmas cracker in the house that I find the same issue as the previous model.I will not even bother contacting Thermador. What gets my goat is that if Thermador were to install higher temperature rated and better quality capacitors in the first place then a ten year life would be likely achievable. The cost, with their bulk purchasing power, would be probably less than $5 per oven. Ill lay another bet that their cost accountants are a part of the problem, shaving cents here and there and seriously compromising what, for the price, should be a rolls Royce oven.Tip for all, if the oven starts to exhibit strange behavior find a friend who is competent with electronics. He can probably fix it for you for a bottle of his favorite tipple and a few electrolytic capacitors at a cost of less than $20. Thermador, shame on you. Cheap electrolytic capacitors, poor thermal design and a ‘couldnt care less’ service attitude. I know I have the receipt for the current oven somewhere in my files, purchased from Trail appliances along with a five ring Wolf gas range top, Wolf wok burner, Wolf 60 inch external fan hood and a Bosch dishwasher. Just not going to go looking for it right now.

Spent a lot of money on a built in ref/freezer from Thermador. Now that summer is here I have come to learn the ice maker only makes between 100-125 ice cubes/24hr. I find myself running to buy more ice as everyone wants ice in their summer drinks. This was never an issue with the Whirlpool freezer I basically wore out after 20 years. ALWAYS had plenty of ice as the maker would make ice when the lever was down signaling low ice. If I had known this I probably would have bought something else... cheaper worked well. I called customer service and they said that this was the feature and nothing more could be done.

Use gas range daily, no problem. Rarely used oven, maybe 20 times the most before it stopped working. Replaced electronic module located between oven and range. How stupid! Used the oven less than 15 times within 3 years and it failed again. The last visit cost $700. After reading all the negative comments about Thermador, I am buying an electric oven and the hell with this piece of junk! Frustrating to spend 2 hours baking and the meatloaf was cooked only on the surface. That darn thing quit half way without warning!

Works well, no problems - it works fine. Price is okay. The color is nice. It was a long time before I had to clean it and I like it. The price was higher but it looks nice and classy and works well enough that I am satisfied with the product that I will not call to complain about the product. It was more expensive than most but I liked the style and thought it would work well because it is good enough to spend the few extra dollars. The size fits well in my kitchen. It could be lighter but obviously you dont pick up w/ stove that much so it doesnt play into effect at all and its a nice stove.

We updated all of our appliances except our ovens, Thermador double wall oven, since they were still working well when we redid our kitchen. They have since failed intermittently, however they are 16 years old. We attempted to service them for repair without a result, and customer service Chris was incredible at understanding the issue and helping to expedite the next step of aiding with a new oven given we are 35 weeks pregnant and need a solution ASAP. They were understanding to our situation and went above and beyond to be helpful and empathetic. I am impressed at the professionalism and promptness of Chris with thermador, and will continue to love their products.

We purchased Thermador thinking it was a high-end model. After 10 years, over the last 6 months our Cooktop and Convection oven (Model SC302TS) have gone bad. In both cases we have been told the replacement parts are no longer available. I would definitely not recommend Thermador products. When I spoke to their customer support, this seemed to be consistent with their strategy/philosophy, to not carry replacement parts for greater than 5-10 years.

Thermador Commercial Grade Stove with 6 Burner Gas Range - We have had nothing but problems with this unit since we bought it many years ago. I originally spent around $8,000 for the unit with the overhead hood and fan. Since then I have invested a minimum of another $6,000 in what appears to be bi-annual service calls. The main issues are: 1. Thermador does NOT support their units. They push you to factory authorized service shops. Okay not a big deal - makes sense. 2. My local service rep knows less about the unit than I do (sad statement). The typical response is something on the order of I think its the ???? part. I have to order one - cant guarantee it will fix the problem until I install it. That will be $150 plus $400 for the parts - see you when the part comes in. 3. I have to go to the dealer in the next region and pay him extra travel time to get decent service. Typically he is so busy servicing other Thermador units that he cant get to me for 3-4 weeks. 4. I have replaced the same gas burner control 5 times - thats a $1,000 in parts only. They have now discontinued the part (dont know why, they were making a killing selling them). So the next time it fails I cant use the stove. 5. My most recent event deals with gas leaks at the burners. Im told they no longer make replacements. They dont even know if it can be upgraded. The service shop wont check to see if it is something simple like a valve stem nut or tightening or packing issue. They told me to call Thermador to see what can be done. Nice receptionist at Thermador but no information - cant get to the engineering department to ask intelligent questions.6. Its a shame because the electric oven has worked flawlessly.I think a class action lawsuit is a great idea.

In 2013 I bought my dream kitchen appliances, paying close to $18,000.00 with a $2,000.00 install. I have had nothing but multiple problems with them. First, I called Thermador for a repairman. They gave me a number to a company that had closed their doors. It took several calls before I could find another repair dealer that was actually open. Repairs became constant. Microwave: Interlock switch replace, adjusted, again and again. It now blows my fuse. Freezer/Fridge: Freezer went out losing all food. Double oven: Replaced element and control panel and had to have it calibrated. Downdraft Vent Hood: Replaced motor (cost more than it is worth). Dishwasher: Grinding and error codes, leak, replaced sump. Some of these problems occurred over and over, costing us an amazing sum because Thermador only stands behind their products for two years. They claimed I only had called them for the microwave; but I registered all my products with them and called them multiple times, as did the repair dealer. They will do nothing to help make it right. Also, the company I bought them from, Orson Gygi in Utah, will not do anything either. They just feel sorry for you...tough luck. Don’t pay for expensive ‘dream’ kitchen appliances. You will have a great looking kitchen that is non-functional and cost you a lot of money. **The only appliance I have not had problems with is the magnetic cooktop that is glass. While I have a small chip in it, it is super easy to clean and so far, so good. It is beautiful. The ONLY product I am impressed with.

We recently purchased a Thermador oven and paid over $10k for it. It has been cooking very unevenly - undercooked on one side, burnt on the other. The burners also function unevenly. The process of getting it serviced has been a nightmare. Thermador, through Bosch, has been unresponsive, inflexible, and unwilling to resolve quickly. Weve had three service calls and the oven has gotten worse. Charles ** is our rep at Bosch and had been ineffective, and Ferguson appliances in Dallas was the showroom and has been unresponsive. I purchased more than $20,000 worth of Thermador appliances in 2007 for a whole kitchen remodel. Fortunately, I also purchased an extended warranty as well. The oven was installed in June 2007. The first problem within the first week was when the ignitor for large oven was not working properly, and nearly made the oven explode. Since that time, I have had over 10 service calls for the same problem. The large and small ovens are not working, and the x-lo burners are not working, or not cycling off and on as well. I have had ignitors replaced, and control boards replaced, numerous times (ignitor gap adjustments, etc.), all to no avail. It works for two or three months, then stops working altogether. This was my third ruined Thanksgiving dinner. I told Maytag (the extended warranty company) that I wanted a replacement oven. They pretty much laughed at me. Unless the same item has been replaced three times within a calendar year, they will not replace it,and theyll only fix it. At this point, after reading all of these complaints, I dont think it would do me much good to get a new one, because they apparently only make junk, which will obviously not work anyway. Not what I had hoped for, out of an $8,000.00 stove. I placed a complaint with the BBB, but there were already four on there that had not been responded to by Thermador. What a surprise. I can not believe that this company is getting away with this. Isnt there a law against knowingly selling faulty equipment? Buyers beware! Now, I am stuck with an oven that cost as much as a used car, and I will have to continue to pay for an extended warranty, just so I dont get stuck with the bi-monthly repair bills.

We remodeled our kitchen and purchased Thermador appliances to the tune of $18,000. I cant remember being more disappointed. The $8000 refrigerator arrived with rust on the handles. The local service contractor sent by Thermador to replace the handles scratched the panel necessitating service visits 2 and 3 within our first few weeks of ownership. Not long after the panels were replaced, the ice maker stopped working. Three additional service visits later, we still dont have ice. Weve owned the appliances for a little over two months, have had six service calls, each requiring that we give a three hour window. The ice maker has worked a grand total of about 10 days in those two months. Calls to Thermadors customer service department prove to be most unsatisfactory as they dont return promised phone calls. Who knows if well ever get ice. Im thanking my lucky stars that we purchased the retailers extended service agreement for all our appliances. I would recommend that you look elsewhere for your premium appliances as Thermadors customer service is undoubtedly not up to par for appliances in this price range.

We purchased a Thermador built-in refrigerator in 2006. Last month it stopped working and we were told the heat exchange had given out. After waiting 3 weeks for parts from Thermador, the service man found while repairing it that water had gotten into the heat exchange. When he called Thermador and spoke with Bart, he was told the only thing to do was to attempt to blow the water out with nitrogen. When the repairman said this wouldnt work, he was told there was no other option. Since neither Thermador nor the repair service will guarantee this will work for longer than a year at most, there is no point in getting it repaired. Since Thermador will do nothing about it, I can only determine to never purchase another KitchenAid or Thermador product. And of course, to tell all my friends to avoid them as well.

The flame is high on all burners which means you cannot cook on low or simmer without your pot boiling. The oven also cooks unevenly, burns in back and not on front portion of oven. I was told I needed to let oven preheat. I do that thank you very much. I have had 2 separate repair companies out and the last was told the Thermador said everything was fine.I have since contacted Thermador again many time, they do not return calls or emails and will NOT allow you to speak to anyone in management. I purchased $20K in Thermador kitchen and BBQ appliances in 2012. Products are attractive and appear well built and have generally performed OK, but Customer Care has been consistently terrible. The cooktop hood collects oil in a tray which leaked oil and stained our granite backsplash. After two service calls we fixed it ourselves, but too late for our backsplash - see a similar earlier posting also on this site (This is a simple design fix which any design engineering student could identify and remedy). Refrig unit failed recently after six years, and is still under warranty for parts. However, Thermador has no authorized refrig service provider covering this area (where we purchased from their dealer) and will not provide warranty parts to a non-authorized servicer. The BBQ unit does not distribute gas evenly and one side is always much hotter than the other. The Bosch dishwasher works well but retains a residual food odor - its stainless steel but plastic parts seem hold the odor. We havent bothered to approach Thermador on this. Thermador quality is way under part, and the company is very poorly run with respect to customer experience and satisfaction.I live in one of the fastest growing upscale communities in Southern California - one would think service availability for this area would be a priority. Nope. I have always been polite and respectful in my calls to Thermador - the first level staff is polite and tries to be helpful, but supervision and management has been curt and annoyed with my requests for help. Wish I had found this site prior to our purchase - we surely would have gone elsewhere, and you should too.

I recently purchased a Thermador double wall oven. Since I was replacing an existing Thermador double wall oven and needed the same size, I did not check the reviews. My mistake. The ovens do not properly heat, so I contacted the store where I purchased the ovens and they came and checked them out. According to Yale Electric where I purchased the ovens, I should not expect the ovens to be at temp when the ovens register that they are at temp. I was told to preheat for a half an hour before using. Even when I do this, the ovens do not properly heat. Second issue is with the door venting system. The vents are just above the window, and while you cook, splattering can seep into the space leaving you with streaks and food on the inside of the glass. There is no way to clean it. I would not recommend purchasing a Thermador and regret my decision to do so.

Buy any other brand other than Thermador for refrigeration! Fortunately we only purchased the under counter drawers but 2 motherboards have been replaced and it still is pinging 3 times every time the compressor goes on. First problem- the drawers just stopped cooling - first motherboard replacement after 4 months of waiting for them. Second problem- the pinging that happens when you accidentally leave the doors ajar, once it went off, it would not stop even though closed. Motherboard #2 replaced and the control panel after 3 weeks of waiting. Repair guy left, and now it is still pinging 3 times when the compressor goes on. What a friggin nightmare for $6000 bucks. Should have bought a sub zero or any other brand. This thing is a lemon, and going out of warranty soon- would never buy a Thermador again! A company that does not understand how to do refrigeration has no business selling them.

Purchased new for $7500 and has been nothing but a nightmare since. Bake element blew up 3 days after delivery. Control board shorted out 2 weeks after that. All of those 2 problems were manufactures warranted. Bake element has consistently burned out at least once every year since. All costing $128.00 each time. Less than 5 months ago the 2 fuses blew along with the bake element and the control board. That cost over $1200. Turned on the oven yesterday and the bake element blew up again with a loud electrical shorting noise. This time, the back side of the range caught on fire. I have burn damage to my hardwood flooring and wet plaster wall behind the stove. If I had been some regular consumer that did not have the knowledge on how to kill the power to the stove, it would have burned my house down. The stove is now a total loss. All of the wiring has burned up, along with considerable smoke damage to my home. I am thoroughly disgusted with Thermador. I plan to take civil action against Bosch, and file a class action lawsuit. This is a problem that has the potential to kill someone. Bosch and Thermador are fully aware of the problem and have chose to ignore it for many years. They will no longer ignore me. Please feel to free to respond to my posting if you desire to join the class action lawsuit.

When we built this house in 1975, we built a space for the Thermador with a single oven, a microwave and a warming drawer. I dont recall when it died or what killed it, but while it required repairs from time to time, it gave us good service for a number of years. Since we had the hole in the wall to fill and were satisfied with Thermador, we bought a modern version of our first Thermador for about $5000.00!! Another way to say that is that we bought a piece of CRAP from a company that doesnt give a rats ass about their stuckees. Our microwave failed. I called Thermador. Not only could they not sell me a replacement, the customer service rep would not even tell me where or how to get one. We finally found out from other Thermador stuckees, that there are number of name brand replacements that cost only a few hundred dollars. All that is required is a replacement the same size. We had a professional do it and I watched him work with some metal tape to seal the exhaust duct. But there is no electrical work required. It just plugs in to a receptacle inside the cavity which houses it. We ended up with a Whirlpool we got from Lowes. It fits like a glove! We were not so lucky with our main oven. They never got it fixed! The main oven gave us no problem until one evening we had guests over. I set the steaks to broil and a few minutes later, I opened the door to determine that they were cold and uncooked. Our outdoor grill saved the day. Although the oven worked on all other settings I failed on the height setting. Recommended for broiling steak and hamburger. It also failed on sausage. The oven operated on high broil for about 5-6 minutes and then cut itself off. When the door was opened, a huge amount of smoke poured out. A Thermador authorized repairman came out. Mind you this was the first time anyone had been into the oven circuitry since we bought it. He found a clearly amateurish setup where wires were tied together with friction tape. Was that done at the Thermador factory? We were, as I recall beyond the warranty cutoff date. He replaced a circuit board for a couple hundred bucks. That did no good! Then he replaced a Thermocouple for over a hundred bucks. That did no good. This poor guy came at least a half dozen times. Each time he consulted with the Thermador experts on the phone - all to no avail. Then he retired! The authorized repair company sent another guy out. He played with it for a couple hour and finally concluded that the owners manual was wrong in their instructions on where to put the meat. He noted that the steaks could be placed on a lower rack, like rack 4 instead of 6 and the steaks would do just as well. And that contrary to what the manual said and contrary to the fact that it worked fine using the recommended settings prior to the first failure - that was the way this clown insisted the oven was supposed to work. With that he came up with a $250 bill for his time. That was about a year ago. I hope hes still holding his breath. Each failure was accompanied by a tremendous amount of smoke. There is no internal exhaust system, but the experts couldnt explain the smoke accompanying the failure. I dont have the answer but we have found that while we get a failure and a lot of smoke and a failure with the rack at level 6. Hi Broil. We get no failure and less smoke (of course) with the rack set at level 6 Hi Convection Broil. So through no fault of Thermador, we can broil steaks almost like the user manual recommends.

We have a brand new Thermador freezer unit and the ice maker is a piece of junk. It is SLOW and when it does decide to make ice cubes, they end up as one giant block, or it doesnt work at all. I really expected more from a refrig/freezer this expensive. The solution is to connect up the old garage refrig since it works fine and Thermador is NO HELP since their unit works within specifications.

We moved into our home in 2007. Previous owner had just redone kitchen, went high end on appliances not knowing they were going to have job transfer. Recently Thermador downdraft fan stopped working properly. Figured it was out of warranty by now, I took a look to see if it was a switch I could replace - discovered it had a circuit board. I was shocked to see that the circuit board had started to melt along with the wires leading to it. I called Thermador, said I knew it must be out of warranty by now - but it seemed like a defect in manufacturing or design flaw and a fire hazard. After many calls, Thermador reluctantly agreed to send someone at their expense to diagnose. The technician informed me it happens all the time.I maintain for the amount of money spent on this type of product one should expect it to last longer than five or six years, and of all the appliances I have ever owned, it is the only one that has ever had a part that melted and posed a fire hazard. Thermador refuses to make good - it is out of warranty and it is normal wear and tear. I recorded my last conversation with Thermador. The audio, as well as pictures of the melted circuit board and wires and a video of it sparking and smoking can be found on you tube under the user **. I now have a stove in the middle of the kitchen with no ventilation. I want others - who own one of these or are contemplating the purchase of one - to understand the risk and I would like the Thermador to remedy the situation. I have not yet explored whether I am limited to a Thermador brand based on the dimensions of the hole in the granite countertop.

Purchased a stove, dishwasher and refrigerator a few years ago for my principal residence. Do they look nice? Sure. It stops there. For my rental properties, they are too expensive to justify so I went with GE Profile. So far, all of my calls have been to repair the three Thermador products. No calls for the GE Profiles. Whats wrong with this picture???? Limited Warranty is for two years and most issues are after the two-year period. To top it off, Thermadors are only serviced by a few service companies who have you over a barrel. My advice would be to stay away from their products.

I thought I would pay more and receive a better quality oven. I purchased double ovens - Thermador and am extremely unhappy. They both stopped working after about 10 uses. Thermador customer service was useless, telling me I had to get a repair company here before they’d consider paying. These ovens were installed late August 2019! Cannot get anyone here for a week. Do not buy Thermador both because of poor quality and nonexistent customer service.

Its been over 5 months with no ability to even talk to a supervisor or get any positive action from the company. Its the worst customer service Ive ever experienced.

I purchased a complete kitchen, stove, double oven, refrigerator, wine cooler, beer fridge and dishwasher 2 years ago, close to $ 40,000. I wish I never did it, this company is a complete joke: Beer fridge never worked properly from the 2nd month, hasnt been on at all in last 6 months, customer service is non-existent, thats the kindest way I can state it. They tell me every month or so to unplug it and let it re set (pull the brand new fridge out of the cabinet and unplug it!!) Horrible. Regular fridge had ice problems in freezer from day 1 and water condensation issues in fridge. No solution offered by their service dept, they tell me its sophisticated software and has to be allowed to work these problems out over time!!Cant use double oven, it actually works but it loudly blows hot air into kitchen raising house temp 5 degrees. So you cant use it and entertain in the kitchen at the same time. Cant stress enough for the same money or less, try the other big brands, this one you will definitely regret. They will not help you with the repair, they take your call, tell you someone will contact you, no one does, then they get agitated with you when you follow up. It pretty amazing, cant believe there isnt more negative comments about the product quality and service.

I too have had a most unsatisfactory experience with my double wall ovens from Thermador. I am now on my 4th replacement heating coil. The electronic control panel went out in year 2 and Thermador advised me that I would have to replace the entire electronic motherboard. The temperature does not stay on consistently throughout the baking process. Their customer service is non-existent. I am so disappointed in the lack of quality in this expensive product. I will never buy another Thermador product and I want to warn anyone out there to stay away. I would rate my experience as no or negative stars.

My thermostat went out in my larger oven and I struggled to get it fixed as the self-cleaning feature was based on a mercury-based system and that was determined illegal prior to my range malfunction. So, no one initially wanted to help me in Customer Service. My original guy was super rude. My local contractor was frustrated as the parts sent were wrong two times.Ironically, after Mister rude customer service man and a follow up call by me, I got a lot of support from Thermador as I guess they do listen to the customer service calls. My contact at Thermador alleviated the cost of the new thermostat that was legal without mercury. Yes, I gave up my self-cleaning forever, a bummer. My local contractor came out several times to get it right. I wasnt the nicest about it as I was so frustrated to spend around $8000 for an appliance and hood and just 9 years in, they said it was obsolete and had no warranty. End of the day, in 2011, after the repair before Thanksgiving, it didnt get to temperature again. Turkey was ruined. The local service came and did one more fix after reconnecting with Thermador and discovered they sent the wrong repair information, final repair was in December 2011. Ever since then, cooking is going great. Knowing I could put in my turkey last Thursday and knowing it would be perfect, which it was, was awesome. I feel like I got my 75% of original purchase back(!) less the self-cleaning. Thanks for monitoring mean customer service reps and being pro active! Please forward this to my local repair company. I think it was All-Service in Bellevue. Thanks.

I just bought Thermador appliances (Refrigerator, Stovetop, Microwave Oven, Dishwasher, Exhaust fan for stovetop) from Best Buy and they delivered the appliances on Feb 06, 2016 for my newly refurbished kitchen. When they delivered the appliances to my house and I opened the boxes, I noticed the Refrigerator had a dent on the door and the Microwave Oven had permanent marker markings on the sides of the appliance. The Stovetop that was installed started making noises the first day it was installed. Every time I turn the stove on, there is a ticking noise that does not go away and stays on until I turn off the stove. All five burners make this noise. Along with the ticking noise, the stainless steel stove turned dirty yellow upon first use. If I cook anything for 5 minutes, the cooktop turns gets a dirty yellow stain which does not go away. I complained to Best Buy, however, no one helped me. I used a normal sized pan to cook my food and the entire stovetop around that burner turned dirty yellow! The color does not come off! Since I noticed all these problems I called Best Buy that I want to return the appliances because they are horrible quality and also I received damaged goods upon receiving the appliances whereas I paid for brand new items. I spend about $10,000 dollars on these appliances. I called Best Buy again on the 10th day of my purchase and said I want to return the appliances. I talked to several people from Best Buy, Sam, Stan, Richard, & Jason and they kept putting me on hold but no one was able to help me still. Eventually, they said they would call me back and no one ever did. Finally, after five days of continuously trying to contact Best Buy, I finally got to the manager and he said it has been more than 14 days to return the appliances because the 14 days return policy had been over. Just to mention, upon purchase, no one had told me there was a 14-day return policy. However, I was trying to reach Best Buy since day 10 and they kept pushing me off. Now I am stuck with appliances I don’t want because they came damaged upon arrival. Best buy manager said that he can change the refrigerator door but I do not want it anymore. I am trying to get in touch with Thermador but no one is able to help me. I am extremely upset! My Sales Number is ** and **. I need someone from Thermador to contact me so I can get things cleared up and I want to return the appliances back as soon as possible. Some of the appliances seem like they may have been previously used and returned by other people. I really appreciate the corporate office if they take notice of the used items and help me. I have not used any of the appliances besides the cooktop; the rest are still sitting there waiting to be installed. Can someone please help me for God sake?

A bunch of other times, the oven had to be repaired costing $100s of dollars each time. Now the top oven is not working at all. Cost me $350 just for the repairman to try to fix it. We built our custom home in 2007 which was completed January 2008. We were living in California and spent five months out of the year in our future retirement home in Washington State. In 2014 we sold everything in California and moved permanently to Washington. In 2014 and 2015 we spent nine months of the year in Washington and the rest traveling and in Portland. My control panel went out on my double Thermador oven three weeks ago. I contacted Thermador and requested that they give us a discount on our oven part as we were not here using it as we lived in California and were not retired yet. The management told us that it was too long since it was installed. This doesnt sit well with my husband and I at all. We have had Thermador products for the past 35 years with a double oven and single in California as well as a stove top. We WILL NEVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN. This oven cost almost $4,000. The appliance people who diagnosed the problem had a terrible time finding this part. This is not acceptable either. Thermador is not a company that we will recommend to anyone with the outcome of this problem. Their management SUCKS.

Bought the Freedom Induction Cooktop 7 years ago. First broke down two months out of 3 year warranty then again at seven year mark. Customer support was extremely poor. Thermador Serviceman said he had never been trained on the stove and didn’t know what to do. Both times it was the main module that went. First repair was over $600 and this repair would have been Over $1400. Customer service would not tell me whether a new part would have been modified to fix the obvious problem (as written up all over the internet). We chosen to pursue our FREEDOM from THERMACRAP and choose to INDUCT them into the Hall of Poor Quality and Customer Support. We have had much better success with KitchenAid.

Bought Thermador gas oven, hood and dishwasher last December. I will never ever again buy Thermador and sister brands (Bosch, Wolf) nor will I recommend to anyone. Totally junk quality appliances. In the first week, they had to come back to service the dishwasher as all the settings were on max and melted a bunch of plastic containers. Then the oven - the paint started chipping off the burner tray. Tech came and replaced that. Then the exhaust fan in the hood started making very loud noises and the tech came again, said the fan has to be replaced (luckily under warranty) but no sign of the fan in six weeks. Called them again and again and it is backordered! For a supposedly top of the line appliances, their customer service is atrocious - very indifferent attitude. They are not allowed to make follow-up calls so you have to keep checking. By the way, their parts are outsourced as is their technical service. Pure garbage. Thermador is made by Bosch so I imagine that Thermador, Bosch and Wolf are all equally crappy. Bought the entire set up late December and still everything not functional! Unreal! Too bad in NJ there is no lemon law for pricey appliances. Sorry there is nothing less than one star in the review category.

We purchased a new Thermador range 1 1/2 yrs ago and have had serious problems from the very first time we used it. The major problem is Thermador has a Help number to call but it is staffed by many young girls who know NOTHING about the range. I asked over and over again to speak with a tech to describe the problems and it was not allowed. (My husband and daughter are Engineers.) One of these Help girls actually told me she did not think 2 hrs to warm an oven was excessive and also there is no reason why this range would not last us 4 or 5 years! The oven would not warm up beyond 100 degrees and I ruined many meals. The repairman finally came and had to replace a couple of parts. He had to replace the computer again (which is located under the griddle and on top of the oven/broiler). Common sense tells me that is not good. Six months later problems again, the computer had to be replaced a second time along with many other parts. This week when we tried to self-clean the oven for the first time the mechanism worked for about 30 minutes and stopped. The repairman came again. Cant find anything wrong, didnt fix the problem. For the $11,000 range I would not even think of purchasing a Thermador product again. As I said the biggest problem with the company is when the oven would not work and there were 12 people in my dining room waiting for a Christmas Brunch there was no one to call who knew anything about anything (morons answering the phone)! It is extremely important to have a Help number with a competent tech person on the other end every day all day because youll need it and Thermador doesnt have it!!!The CEOs name is not to be found anywhere so no letters to write either. This unit has too many functions operated by the computer which is located in an area between a HOT oven and a HOT griddle. A computer that does not work because of being excessive heat bound. Fighting a faulty computer in a $10,440 oven while trying to make dinner isnt worth it. My advice buy another brand without computers.

We purchased our unit Thermador Pro Grand 48in stove around 2009. Have had nothing but problems with the unit. The biggest being the big oven is undependable. I complained constantly that my food was not cooking properly and everyone thought I was nuts. When I start the oven, I can hear the gas come on, then it shuts off again immediately. Today, July 21st, 2014, after replacing parts in Feb. 2014, I have to call someone again because it is broken again. We average 2 service calls a year with parts and labor. This unit also has a design flaw. The electronics sit under one of the burners and if you have a boil over you are in trouble. I am so hugely disappointed in this product and would not recommend Thermador to anyone.

We have purchased a Thermador Professional gas range, electric wall oven and warming drawer. The range and wall oven have given us many issues, particularly the Professional gas range. Seems comical to us that it is referred to as a Professional Series. We very rarely use the range and yet it is the most likely to break down when we do utilize. We have had most (close to all) of the electronics replaced; the ignitors several times! We have just had service once again performed for a measly cost of just under $1,200 and after the first use, the range once again does not work! The faceplate (another $350) is different and were still working on getting to look as good as the original, but at least we dont have a big unfinished hole in the wall over the oven. I too have a Thermador hood range PSE36US which we purchased in 2005. I also spent an additional $650 for the powerful blower to go along with the hood. I bought this product, thinking I was making a permanent purchase to install into my custom kitchen. I was sadly wrong. The buttons quit working for the lights along with some of the speed buttons for the fan. Then the housing that contained the circuit board with the buttons broke. The local appliance parts store I use told me that Thermador was the absolute worst company for parts, and in many cases, he refuses to deal with them because of their customer service. After some ordeal, I finally got to order both of these items. The circuit board was shipped and the housing is on backorder. Its going on three months, and all I can get is that the part is on backorder with no due date for the housing. I even wrote to the headquarters company in France with no response. Im going to have to somehow jerry rig the housing in order to close the filtering area. My advice to potential purchasers is to do your homework and research the company you are about to do business with. This will, no doubt, be the last Thermador product I will ever own. Dont be fooled by how pretty the product looks if you want something that can last. Its all about longevity, repair and service.

I remodeled my kitchen in July 2015. I was so excited when my Thermador Range arrived and was put into place. My daughter and I couldnt wait to use it! She started by baking cookies. She is an amazing baker. The cookies she baked in the Thermador came out very different. They were done on the outside and raw on the inside. Same thing every time she baked after that. She really thought she was losing her touch. Yesterday was Thanksgiving and I had 8 people coming for dinner. I couldnt wait to show off my new range! I put the Turkey in the oven at 11:30 on 325. At 5:30 it looked done on the outside but was raw on the inside. It was thoroughly thawed when I put it in the oven. As a matter of fact everything took twice as long to cook as it should have. After everyone went home and I was cleaning the kitchen I decided to put the self cleaning on. About 20 minutes later there was a big crash and shattered glass all over my kitchen floor!! The interior glass exploded!! I was so scared and in such shock! I started researching and realized there are so many problems with Thermador! I dont want to fix it. I just want it out of my house. I contacted an attorney and Im hoping I can give it back. I called the appliance place I bought it from and asked them to take it back. I told customer service I would purchase a Wolf and pay the difference. She laughed and said What are we supposed to do with the Thermador? Why Thermador is still in business I dont understand! I will never make a big purchase again without seeing the reviews first. This Thanksgiving my oven would heat but not hold a temperature. We had a repair tech come out and it is the thermometer. It shuts off the heating element when it reaches the desired temp. This part is discontinued by Bosch/Thermador rendering our perfectly good oven useless. The one part has made this oven and range obsolete. The companys customer service rep was awful and basically had nothing to say but that we should get a new one. I will NEVER buy a Thermador, Gagganau or Bosch product again. We purchased both of these units. Thought we would not have to worry about buying appliances for awhile...wrong!! The panel on the oven, even if you are cooking, turns off... starts beeping with a code f24. Thermador is fully aware of this problem. There is also a recall. If you try using the self-clean feature, the oven can catch fire. I did an online search for this oven. There is a recall -- An 800 number is listed on line for the owner to call. This is to set up a repairman to come out. This site claims they are open to take callers 24/7. I have heard a recorded message that has said, Thank you for calling, a customer service person will be with you shortly. I have heard this message 178 times as of this minute. As for the propane cook top, with the built in BBQ, the flames are so low, I stopped using the cook top, called out a repairman. He said, No way can I increase the flame size. Cost to me -- over $9,000.00, PLUS INSTALLATION. So, if you still want to purchase anything Thermador, you have a problem...it will be on you. You have been warned.

We purchased all Thermador Equipment for a kitchen remodel. After two weeks the refrigerator handle fell off our $9,000 column refrigerator/Freezer, then a couple weeks later the freezer handle fell off too. I contacted Setzers (who I bought the equipment from here in Jacksonville FL) who contacted the repair center. This was in Mid February, and after several emails and calls it is now Mid May and still nothing! I also call Thermador who really didnt seem to care that their equipment is falling apart. I spent over $20,000 on Thermador Equipment, you would think they would have been somewhat concerned! Im still working on getting these handles put on but I would not recommend getting Thermador. I will never use them or Setzers again!

I bought all new kitchen appliances 3 1/2 years ago when my fridge died but wasnt ready to install the rest because of a kitchen remodel that was planned in the near future. Went to install last week and the oven knob broke the first time I turned on the oven. Called customer service and offered to provide pictures of new stove that anyone would understand has never been used and pictures of the box that is still on my porch and they said they would not help. I would hope a company that sells a 7500.00 stove would provide some help. I will look for a company next time that cared about what they sell. I will never buy another Thermador again and I would suggest you find a brand that cares about what they sell.

If the other 300+ poor reviews dont deter you, perhaps this one will. I purchased a 6 burner range top from Pacific Sales along with a double convection oven. Out of the box, one of the burner keeps clicking and sparking. I phoned Thermador customer service immediately, they gave me an authorized tech. I called, he came and determined it must be a spark module problem. He returned to basically disassemble the entire stove, replacing not only the spark module, but wires as well. Took over 2 hours of trying to figure out the problem That didnt work. I felt I had the right as a customer to not have my new kitchen torn apart to figure a problem that lies with the manufacturer. I called and wrote to supervisors to evoke lemon law. No, they tell me that I needed to allow them 3 to 4 times to willy-nilly take apart the range and not figure out the issue. I rejected this. After 2 weeks of letter writing, emailing, and phone conversations, I agreed to let them do another repair. The tech they sent has been here for over an hour as I write this review, still trying to figure out the issue as if my stove is some sort of test for the tech. Really Thermador? Im just waiting for them to make good on their promise of replacing the range. Oh the tech they sent just knocked over a part and scratched up my brand new cabinet.

We purchased a group of Thermador appliances in 2016 when renovating our kitchen. We thought that we were purchasing high quality reliable appliances and we could not have been more wrong. Our double wall ovens have malfunctioned since 2017. Every year these ovens stop working and we have to pay out between $450-$900 each time even after these ovens were supposedly repaired before the warranty ran out. This year we had service on August 24 and paid $927.00 for a new relay panel. Now on November 18, 2021, within three months, we have to have both fans replaced at a cost of $864.00. The fans have already been replaced multiple times and contact with Thermador, the local rep and the retailer have produced either no response or sorry we dont deal with service issues. On top of this the Thermador dishwasher purchased at the same time requires a new motor. We have been careful with these appliances, do not put the self clean on too frequently and try to be mindful of usage. I would run for the hills before purchasing Thermador or any products under the same manufacturer-I feel we were sold a very expensive bill of goods-abominable!

Model CM302 - Lovely double oven with all the bells and whistles. Shortly after purchase the oven would turn off during use for no apparent reason. Then after several minutes it would turn back on. As time passed it would turn off more frequently and stay off longer before turning back on. Sometimes we would push the control panel and it would turn back on. Finally it turned off and stayed off just as we were preparing Thanksgiving dinner. I have no plans on getting it serviced but if someone has had similar problems and has come up with an easy fix, I would like to know.

Shortly after replacing the same problem re-occurred. Now the dishwasher does not turn off and it runs and runs with no water. We purchased a brand new Thermador Range based on the fact that weve owned one in the past and loved it. Since we moved into our brand new house, the oven has not worked. They have sent a tech out four times to repair it and it has been three months and we still do not have a working oven. They have finally agreed to replace the oven but cant tell us when we will receive it. This company has horrible customer service and could not simply apologize and offer any sort of compensation for the inconvenience. We will never again purchase Thermador products based on their inadequate customer service skills. I finally spoke with a supervisor named Marie who said that she could send me a cutting board for my inconvenience. Do yourself a favor and purchase a Wolf Range rather than Thermador. We have a Subzero refrigerator and that company called to review how we like our fridge, what was our experience like and is there anything they could do to improve their service. Thats a company who truly cares and understands how to be successful. From now on I will only purchase Wolf/Subzero appliances.

My Thermador double oven is not working after three visits and several repairs from an appliance company this past week. The temperature reaches 250 and then it turns off. The broilers do not ignite; the griddle does not work and et cetera. I have been told that this model has been very problematic, and after reading many of the dismayed comments from others, I am wondering what recourse the consumers have. The reports are terrible. This company is not reputable, and the consumers are being ripped off.

When my repair company, Complete Appliance, call customer service, they get no satisfactory answer as to why this is happening. They are frustrated and I am frustrated. I am building a new home and will not be using Thermador! If I were told from the beginning this cannot be fixed, I would have gotten a new oven. Instead I was told, Just replace this and the problem would be fixed. Thermador does not care about their customers once their product has been purchased. Shame on Thermador!

We bought Thermador appliances throughout four years ago when re-modeling our kitchen. Never again. Thermador is junk, its priced two or three times what a normal appliances cost, and they dont last as long as a typical Hotpoint. Our double wall ovens, model PODC302, ($5,700) have had temperature-accuracy problems after a year of use. Weve had thermostats replaced. We will likely need the control panel to be replaced (thats $1,500). The ovens currently either heat to 500+ degrees when set to 250-300 or they dont heat at all, ruining another holiday dinner. Our microwave, model MBES, ($1,500) has a door-open button made out of taffy -- replaced twice so far and failing again. The dishwasher works, and the $11,000 built-in fridge/freezer only required two service calls to work properly. So far. So thats 50% of the stuff that doesnt work. Never, ever buy Thermador. Their products are astronomically-priced trash, their support is nonexistent, and their replacement part costs are straight out of the Porsche parts-pricing school. Live and learn.

I called Thermador, and the best they would do for me is send out a tech to patch the crack with epoxy. Now, a year later, the crack is wide open again and getting bigger. Terrible, flimsy product. Buyer beware - if you need support, you won’t get it easily from Thermador based on my experience. They charged me about $750 for a replacement part for a fridge. The part arrived in approx. Sept. 2021. For two months they have been unable to coordinate two techs (the number needed) to come install the part for my fridge. On the first visit, despite my reminding them in advance that we needed two techs, only one came and couldn’t do the job. He rescheduled for a month later. On the day, no one came (not a typo). Instead, Theramdor claims I cancelled the appointment… Why would I do that? Now it’s the third visit —11/29/2021. Despite advising them again that we needed two techs, they coordinated only one. I called today (11/28) to confirm they would get two out here, and there was literally nothing they could do to confirm one way or another. I’ve asked to speak with supervisors on multiple occasions. I keep being told a supervisor would “call me back.” No one has ever called me back. For a company selling high end (ie, very expensive) appliances, you would think they could treat their customers with a smidgen of respect. Definitely the last time we buy a Thermador product. It’s just not worth the headache in my opinion, particular with an appliance that is only about 5 years old.

I have a 48 inch professional Thermador Range. Model # PG486GEBS/12. It came with the house when we purchased it. The house was new construction in 2007. Since the first year that we have had it, it has broken 14 different times and we have spent nearly $8,000 repairing it. The burners have broken a number of times. They wouldnt light at all. Ive replaced the simmer kits at least 5 times. The oven has also broken at least 5 times. Needed spark modules. Then there was the oven door latch that locked itself 4 times. Ive needed control board kits at least 2 times as well. Its a dual oven. It would turn itself off and not heat or it would not ignite at all. The burners on top would short out all of the time. I work full time and if we use the burners or the oven twice a week, that would be a lot. I finally got wise and called Thermador and they were awful and unhelpful. Last year, they did replace the parts for the burners for free but it took months for me to get them to actually send the parts. I had to provide more documentation than the Warren Commission had on JFKs assassination. This time around, the oven is broken again and needs an $800 repair. They offered to send me replacement parts for 50% of the cost, even though we have had nothing but problems. I declined their offer and am ripping this piece of garbage out of my house. They do not stand behind their products and the people that repair this appliance have stopped selling Thermador products completely. They look nice but are garbage. Do not spend the money on their ranges.

This is a Thermador, built-in, French-door fridge/freezer (Model #T36IT800NP), only 2 yrs. old that cost approx. $8500, uninstalled, pre panels. The design is very poor to begin with. The shelves span all the way across the interior. Having split shelves that allow different height items (like most French door refrigerators) would allow far more versatility in storage. As it is, all tall items must go in the door which means condiments clutter up the only three shelves. Within the first year, the seal on the left door started to fail. Next was the ice maker (made by Samsung!). The water filter needs to be changed every 6 mos. The first change was fine, the second change was not recognized by the computer and the change filter display was constantly illuminated. I had a service tech out who suggested I try another filter, perhaps my replacement was defective. I could ignore the display, but it quit making ice. Then it started making ice again sporadically. At this point, the tech suggested I order a new ice making unit and filter valve. Before I could even place the order, the machine went hyper and made so much ice it overflowed (supposed to have a sensor to prevent that) blocking the back of the freezer drawer so that it could not close. After removing the ice blockage, the flimsy top freezer shelf (which holds the ice bin) would not close and small piece of plastic that kept it in place fell off. Upshot, had to turn off the erratic ice maker, permanently remove the top shelf and bin, and we now have no ice mid-summer.I did my research and had ordered a KitchenAid, problem with stocking and time crunch so ended up with this very expensive and disappointing model on the recommendation of the sales person. Massive mistake! Top of the line machines should NOT be made with cheap parts. It also appears that the warranty will not cover any of the parts or labor to replace. Ive built many kitchens, but this is the first appliance that Ive ever regretted purchasing. Caveat emptor!

This combination steam oven unit is a wonderful idea with a terrible implementation. We have now had a repair person (from Mr. Appliance, who is AMAZING!!) come out 5 times; 4 times to do something about the leaking steam oven. They even had him replace the water bottle because the original design was faulty, but it still leaks. After using the unit about 20 minutes, water leaks out the bottom of the oven and drips onto the control panel of the warming drawer, which then shorts out. They have had to replace the control panel on the warming drawer twice. I called Thermador again to get the unit replaced. I had to send my original sales receipt (even though they already have it because I registered the product right after it was installed) and technician invoices from the repairs (even though the repair technician calls them every time to get their help to resolve the problem). After a couple of days, I get an email back saying they have made a decision, but they cannot relay the results of their decision via phone or email, so I call customer service and have to wait in the regular queue...after finally getting someone, I am told there is nothing in the file. I read her the email that was sent, she put me on hold again for probably at least 5 minutes and came back saying they made a decision that the unit works properly; even after I submitted the diagnosis from the repair tech showing that the unit is not working. The technician was out again today and took pictures and sent them to Thermador to hopefully get this unit replaced. After spending 28 minutes on the phone, I learned that they were not going to honor their warranty based on my request and now that the technician sent them pictures, it was being escalated to management for a review. The customer service person told me it would be another 24-48 hours until they make a decision. Will update when we hear.

Thermador double oven ME302JS, Refrigerator T36BB810SS - We purchased a suite of appliances including a fridge, range top, double oven, and dishwasher. The double ovens function just fine. However they buzz very, very loudly. Service has been to our house four times to either diagnose or attempt a repair to no avail. The service techs have been pleasant to work with and I appreciate their efforts as they have expressed genuine frustration. They have also expressed frustration with Bosch as they havent been helpful to find a solution. The fridge suffers from a slow ice maker. After 24 hrs, the bin is only about two inches deep of ice. The motor was replaced, no success. Bosch told the techs to lower the temp from zero to -4. That didnt work either. The techs have asked for further help from a Bosch area rep on both issues but they havent been forthcoming. Ive also sought help from the store who sold us the appliances. They forwarded my video of the noise to Bosch personnel, but they havent responded either. My patience has run out. If Bosch was responsive and helpful with a solution, this review would be more positive.

Thermador KBUDT4850A10 - We purchased this $7,000 refrigerator for a kitchen remodel. It came with a 10 year warranty. After a couple of months of use we noticed that the ice in the ice maker bin was melting and freezing back together in a large clump. We placed a service call only to be told that this refrigerator does that and there is nothing to fix- it is a design flaw. We have put up with this flaw for the 6 years we have owned this lemon having to dump the ice maker every couple of weeks. Now we have a dent in one of the stainless steel doors. I purchased a replacement door skin for over $700 and placed a call to the support line for help with the install. I was told the only help they could give me was a rate of $129 for the service call and $129 per hour for the repair. I asked for a schematic for the door so I could do it myself and they again refused to help or supply the schematic or repair instructions. I am sure I can figure out how to install this part without their help but it would have went a long way to show a little customer service.

Great if they work-HORRIBLE SERVICE IF THEY DONT. I recently purchased 33k worth of Thermador appliances from Ferguson. I took delivery of the appliances and just had the 12k+ range installed. I am in the middle of my move and eager to be settled. It is defective and I tried calling your service line. After being on hold over 25 minutes Teresa answered the line and was brusque in manner. She informed me that I could wait until September 22 for service. That is quite a distance away, so I asked for an alternative. She said I could call one other authorized service technician in the Los Angeles area that is permitted to service your brand. I am unfamiliar with this process so I asked if it is I that would call, and if your company would be taking care of the payment, and she replied “if you would let me finish I would tell you”. I was merely asking about the process. SO rude. I thought you were meant to be a luxury brand.Certainly your call center missed the service piece of that experience. I said that I was “trying to get clear about the process and that she needn’t be rude about it- that I was unfamiliar with this process as I had not done it before”. Teresa curtly answered that if I didn’t like her manner that she would turn me over to another agent and before I could protest she promptly hung up on me. I am frankly appalled and I plan on putting this company on blast all over the internet for the lack of service, and ridiculous treatment.I have an expensive product that is defective, am in the middle of a move, and am merely trying to get something fixed. Now I have to spend additional hours chasing this down while working full time and attending to various other obligations. I would hope to get some assistance. This confirms that Thermador is not all that it thinks it is. I also attempted via email to contact the CEO of Thermador. I have wrote several emails/letter to Customer Service and its like I dont exist. My Freezer/Fridge unit was purchased 2017 and within a month I has calling for a repair and it has been ongoing issue. I have to treat my $10,000 freezer as if owned a 1920 ice box freezer and manually remove everything and chip out the built up ice. This is the sacrifice I need to do so that I can maybe enjoy ice when it decides to produce some. Thermador has decide to abandoned their customers so we can make sure that we can share our experience with as many Thermador potential customers and save them from also being mislead. Word of mouth (internet/social media) is very effective. I am very interested in starting a Class Act Suit against Thermador. **

Bought and professionally installed 48 dual fuel Pro Grand Thermador Range.
Bought and professionally installed 48 dual fuel Pro Grand Thermador Range. Oven temperatures are 40 to over 100 degrees low. Serviced by certified Thermador repair THREE times and they report no problems but my oven still wont bake. Thermador sent sales rep on third repair visit to bake cookies to show me how oven works... However per recipe, 350 degrees 11-15 minutes resulting in pale underbaked cookies over 30 minutes later. He documented the facts but after 10 days, I havent heard a word... Weve had range 4 months and still problematic! Thermador Rep doesnt want to believe anything is wrong with range even after witnessing failure to bake... with all my written documentation and ruined food. Ive even gone as far to bring identical dishes to bake at local Thermador Appliance Store with positive results, so I know baking is possible in a Thermador oven... just not MINE.

I purchased a suite of Thermador appliances for my kitchen 6 years ago. You get a better deal when you buy an entire brand. Even though I knew every brand has its strengths and weaknesses I gave into the salesman’s pressure and the better pricing. Never again! A rookie mistake. The only appliance from Thermador that has performed well is the dishwasher. The ovens take forever to get to preheat and even when the alarm sounds that it has reached temperature it’s not even close to the set temp. I had to buy a thermometer to put inside the oven to gauge when it was truly at the desired temp. The fridge door has never closed properly and it leaks on my wood floor. After install Thermador customer service said my concerns were “customer preference” and nothing faulty with the fridge or freezer. The ice maker makes weird ice and it takes forever. Now the entire freezer quit freezing and the repairman suggested I replace it with a Sub Zero. I paid $8k for this fridge/freezer and my less expensive built in was twice the appliance of this one. Word to the wise....don’t buy a suite. Buy each appliance in the brand that they are known for and have strong reviews. If misery loves company I am not lonely on the topic of Thermador! Never again.

My husband and I had been planning on renovating our kitchen for three years before beginning construction. We finally made the big move and gutted from floor to ceiling redoing lighting, flooring, sheetrock, every part of the kitchen. We chose Thermador appliances after visiting many appliance stores and talking to friends that have Thermador. Also, when you are purchasing all new appliances the appliance package is hard to pass up. We debated on getting Sub Zero/Wolf because it was only $3,000 more but in the end decided on Thermador 2018 Freedom Refrigerator and Freezer much to our dismay. We got our refrigerator first because both were on back order. Within the first 24 hours our refrigerator lights were not working properly and the unit switched off and on. We had to contact a repair person within the first day of having it. They replaced the main board at this time. We then finally received our freezer and again issues. Both appliances (2018 Freedom Refrigerator and Freezer) completely quit working within the first week. We are beyond frustrated and disappointed. The customer service at Thermador is terrible!!! I am wondering if anyone is having these issues and for anyone considering new appliances dont buy Thermador!!

These stoves are expensive. They’re supposed to work. There is supposed to be rapid customer service. The griddle is calibrated on both sides. It’s not. The stove goes up to high temps or can’t keep the temp. The range and wall ovens reset. It is supposed to be a motherboard issue. I’m very frustrated as we can’t cook. Family of six and we can’t cook. The stove turn off in the middle of the bake or resets or can’t keep the temp. If it does t lock up and you can’t open the door.

We just replaced a 15 year old Thermador Professional gas range and oven with a new 36” Thermador Professional 366 range and oven. About $10,000 invested with installation. Most disappointed on delivery to find new oven door quite dirty in between the glass windows. Also oven temperature about 60-70 degrees hotter than the dial setting. The worst, however, is that a new oven rack that was soaked in water for about 6-7 hours to remove some baked on cheese has started to rust. Obviously there is no quality control at factory and cheap materials are used for components. We have had two Wolf range/ovens and have been most happy with them. I would strongly recommend anyone looking for a top of line range/oven forget about the Thermador line.

ProGrand oven and range - My wife and I bought this range that was a dream
ProGrand oven and range - My wife and I bought this range that was a dream of my wifes, which now has turned out to be her worst NIGHTMARE!!!!!!!!! We had it installed in our remodeled kitchen. Looks really nice, but for the most part so does a bookend. The range part works well but the oven is a joke. The only thing it cooks good is our bank account...! The wonderful people at Thermador thought they had better way to light a oven, putting a delay of so many seconds on the gas valve, before it lights... Thus filling your oven full of gas and when it lights, which you have a 50/50 chance that it might, the door on the oven jumps out a bit as it is now lit... For how long it stays going is a crapshoot. If you are cooking a roast that will take over a hour, forget it. It wont relight to keep at temp. But the fun part of it is the temp on the dial shows whatever the temp you set it at! Open the oven and its around 100 degrees. NICE! It is what it is and thats JUNK!We had a company who was great repairing the Wonderful PRO-Grand, new name should be PRO Crap, but anyway the repairman found a missing part in the oven. Called the Company and got the repair tech on the phone, who stated, We do not sell that Part... Now three weeks later the repair company going to bat for me, got the people at Thermador to send us the part. Which in fact they forgot to install at the so-called Factory! Wonderful the problem fixed right?????? NOPE! Installed that part and the oven is still doing the same thing...! Anyway not wanting to see the Nice repairman again for awhile we started using the barbecue as our new oven!Works great keeps the temp right and it only cost $300.00. Pro Grand $6000.00 Plus.... Is there something wrong with this picture????? Now we are getting close to the end of this Saga.....! Bit the bullet and called the Nice Repairman. Was like old home week for the first three minutes, but he got the Pro Grand apart could not figure it out and call the Factory Tech. His name is Mr. Confused. Was told what was happening and he could not figure it out either.....! So the Nice Repairman asked, Why do we need this delay on the gas and light it like the broiler lights? which is right now... Doesnt figure does it.....! DA. Okay, now one great-minded repairman and one confused Factory Tech tells the Nice Repairman, You mean like the Older Pro Grands? Yes, the OLD ONE!!!!!!! Yes!!!! Factory Tech the Old tried and true Lights every time system. Okay, the Confused Factory Tech says... Now we wait!!!!!!! Nice repairman leaves to find out what he needs as far as parts and if he really is right... Yes he was!!!!! Mr. Nice Repairman got all the new stuff ordered and now I have to Open my wallet again to pay the Nice Repair Company...! The cost of this repair was Only $475.80 thus bring up the total cost of repairs to $1065.71 Pro Grands final repair total. Dont waste your time with Thermador thinking they will stand behind the product. The Fact is they wont....! For those of you who dont know this Thermador is owned by Bosch...... !
