We have a freezer that we purchased new and has not worked properly since installed. Have gotten NOWHERE with customer service. In fact they are absolutely rude! Our repairman after 4 service calls recommended the appliance be replaced and Thermador denied request. They were obnoxious in telling us why they denied the replacement. Upper management refuses to explain determination. Would never purchase anything from Bosch/Thermador. Wish there was more action I could take against them.

We purchased both of these units. Thought we would not have to worry about buying appliances for awhile...wrong!! The panel on the oven, even if you are cooking, turns off... starts beeping with a code f24. Thermador is fully aware of this problem. There is also a recall. If you try using the self-clean feature, the oven can catch fire. I did an online search for this oven. There is a recall -- An 800 number is listed on line for the owner to call. This is to set up a repairman to come out. This site claims they are open to take callers 24/7. I have heard a recorded message that has said, Thank you for calling, a customer service person will be with you shortly. I have heard this message 178 times as of this minute. As for the propane cook top, with the built in BBQ, the flames are so low, I stopped using the cook top, called out a repairman. He said, No way can I increase the flame size. Cost to me -- over $9,000.00, PLUS INSTALLATION. So, if you still want to purchase anything Thermador, you have a problem...it will be on you. You have been warned.

I purchased this Thermador oven in Dec. 2005. On Thursday, Nov. 20th, my oven just stopped working. Wording in Red flashed across the panel F-24 Refer to Manual. My Thermador manual shows the reason for F-24/25 appearing means someone leaned against this panel for over sixty seconds. Ive never seen this before. We followed the directions to correct. Nothing happened. I called the Thermador Service ph#. Thermador sent a Technician Monday, Nov. 24th. This Thermador Technician said my manual is wrong, and the problem is the Cooling Fan broke. Then, Im informed it will be Dec. 11th, before this part is in. This is a part Thermador makes! I have a turkey in the fridge for Thanksgiving this week. I called Thermador today, and the person sounded she didnt want to speak to anyone. Very rude.

I bought the hood 30 days ago and since the day I receive it it didn’t work. Yes it’s 10,000$ defective range. They sent me a technician 3 times trying to fix it and he disassemble the range piece by piece and put it back together and still not working. This is a scam. This appliance didn’t pass quality check before selling it for the big $$. Stay away from Thermador. Stay away from Thermador. I can’t say it enough. Scammers and thiefs!!

NEGATIVE STAR RATING!!!! We spent almost $6K for a double-oven that is BARELY USED. After 4 years, the top oven burnt food and blew up Pyrex baking dishes within just a few minutes at 325 degrees. Thermador customer service informed us that we would have to absorb any diagnostic and repair costs since the 2-yr. manufacturers warranty has expired. This is unacceptable!!!!

Microwave wave generator broke for no apparent reason after 3 years of mode
Microwave wave generator broke for no apparent reason after 3 years of moderate to low use. It cannot be fixed so the microwave unit is worthless now. According to Thermador there is no way to replace just the microwave. What?????? So they want me to spend another $6,500 to replace the whole unit????? Total BS. I will never buy another thing from Thermador even again. This is pure extortion.Just FYI - you can buy the current built-in microwave ($900) alone and rig it to fit in the space of the old microwave in the tower. The faceplate (another $350) is different and were still working on getting to look as good as the original, but at least we dont have a big unfinished hole in the wall over the oven. It still cost us $1,400 total by the time we were done which is also a huge amount just for a microwave. The whole experience was total crap. Never again.

Found out Thermador doesnt make replacement parts for appliances over 7 years old. Self clean lock device isnt working and $160 service call to find this out. 13 year old range paid $2,600! I will NEVER recommend or purchase Thermador again. This range looks brand new. I ran the self clean twice a year. This is HORRIBLE customer service.

We spent a lot of money on a 6-burner, double oven range about $5,000, 15 years ago. One of the burners doesnt work and the oven on indicator light will not go off. When we called for service, we were told that parts would be difficult to find. The technician will charge $100 to come out and tell us that there arent any parts for this appliance because it is so old. Really, the customer service rep (and supervisor) think that this is completely acceptable since the lifetime of the appliance is about 14 years. Why pay so much money for something that will be replaced in that period of time? I have a Maytag washing machine that is 25 years old and the couple of times it needed repairs, I was never told that its so old, parts may not be available. Im writing to advise people that you may as well go with a cheaper brand that supports their product rather than a Thermador that considers their own brand disposable. Service is a disgrace. Save your money.

Buy any other brand other than Thermador for refrigeration! Fortunately we only purchased the under counter drawers but 2 motherboards have been replaced and it still is pinging 3 times every time the compressor goes on. First problem- the drawers just stopped cooling - first motherboard replacement after 4 months of waiting for them. Second problem- the pinging that happens when you accidentally leave the doors ajar, once it went off, it would not stop even though closed. Motherboard #2 replaced and the control panel after 3 weeks of waiting. Repair guy left, and now it is still pinging 3 times when the compressor goes on. What a friggin nightmare for $6000 bucks. Should have bought a sub zero or any other brand. This thing is a lemon, and going out of warranty soon- would never buy a Thermador again! A company that does not understand how to do refrigeration has no business selling them.

I too have had a most unsatisfactory experience with my double wall ovens from Thermador. I am now on my 4th replacement heating coil. The electronic control panel went out in year 2 and Thermador advised me that I would have to replace the entire electronic motherboard. The temperature does not stay on consistently throughout the baking process. Their customer service is non-existent. I am so disappointed in the lack of quality in this expensive product. I will never buy another Thermador product and I want to warn anyone out there to stay away. I would rate my experience as no or negative stars.

I have a Thermador Professional Oven purchased in 1995. It still looks like new but the broiler and the cleaning functions failed because of the failure of a 5 button switch on the stove front. This switch is no longer made. Thermador says they are not legally responsible to carry the part after 10 years. The fix seems simple but cant be done and Thermador has washed its hands of finding a fix. This seems to me inexcusable. Dont buy Thermador.

It’s a horrible oven and the worst customer service - poor controls, unreliable and poor response from customer service. The bottom line: no, I would not recommend this to a friend. This Thermador ME301E[S] wall oven is the bane of our lives. The interface panel had been replaced and still the oven did not work. The call to the Thermador supervisor took a week to get back to me. They would not take the $250.00 memory panel back even though that was not the cause of the self-clean operation as suggested by their authorized repair person. The oven would cease heating without notification on the display. Customer Service for Thermador is worse than anyone I have ever dealt with. The oven was serviced a number of times for other parts. Stay clear of their products, as they do not stand behind the appliance!

Many functions for the fridge and love the stainless steel. Has nice drawers that are interchangeable and a new modern design. Have purchased and would recommend to anyone looking for a new fridge. The refrigerator has a nice variety of settings to adjust the temperature. It also runs excellent and make lettuce and meats always stay crisp. The refrigerator has beautiful stainless steel door with a movable compartments so you can put a cake in there. The amount of room really helps because I can pack a fridge. Made it easier to have a lot of more storage and flexible cooling settings. Ever since my old refrigerator, Ive been looking to replace it since the late 90s. My old one was horribly outdated and didnt seem to hold my valuable food anymore. Purchasing this new one has changed my life for me and my family. This product was so high quality my aunt went and purchased one from one of the retailers. Amazing drawer spaces and high end LED lighting along with French doors. Perfect for my huge home gatherings and keeps beer cold.

When choosing a built-in refrigerator, we considered the Sub-Zero and Thermador. We went with the Thermador because the design was similar to Sub-Zero and it was less expensive. I find the Thermador terribly noisy. In the kitchen, I feel like I am in a giant fish tank and turn on music as often as possible to drown out the sound. Its been a huge quality of life downgrade. As soon as we can afford to replace it, we will!

I purchased a whole kitchen of appliances in 2019. My pride purchase was a Thermador 36 inch gas 4 burner with a grill in the middle. 7149.99 stove alone. The meat probe from the oven was never used until that Thanksgiving when I was going to cook my first turkey with my Thermador stove probe kit. Seems simple right? Put the probe in the turkey, set it and wait for the probe to chirp. Right from the start it gave me a defective code with the probe in. It couldnt be used. Since the fall of 2019 until today Thermadors qualified service techs have been to the house 5 times and are unable to fix it. One and one half years later no resolution. They just decided that they would replace my stove. The replacement is the stove prg366wh which is 1000.00 dollars less. They refuse to reimburse even a fraction of the amount claiming Ive had the stove over a year, even though my call for service was less than 6 months after owning the stove. Ive declined, Im off to court. Somethings are a matter of principle. Bottom line, Thermador is no longer able to support their past reputation. One last thing I discovered during this problem. The parts are made in China, so how do they claim the quality when everything is being made for all at the same sweatshop. Stay away from Thermador. Worst purchase Ive made in 20 years.

We had a Thermador double oven in our old house, dont remember the model number, purchased in about 2000. About 4 years into ownership we began to get fault codes. Cycling the power would restore operation but the problem became more frequent. Thermador were non-responsive to be polite about it. Im an electronics hobbyist so I pulled the circuit boards out myself. I found that they used a significant number of electrolytic capacitors. These are heat sensitive devices with a specified lifetime. I checked and found that 80% of the electrolytic capacitors were at end of life, displaying either a high esr or low capacitance or both. I replaced the capacitors with higher temperature rated and higher quality ones at a total cost of $15. Problems solved and unit was working well when we sold the house about 5 years ago. The local appliance repair shop wanted north of $500 to visit and replace the boards, no prizes for guessing what I told them.We purchased, maybe regretfully, a new model double oven Thermador for our new house that we moved into 5 years ago. Yeah, I know doing the same thing and expecting different results etc. It is now Christmas Eve and the oven has had to be re-started twice so far. Hopefully it will hang on and produce Christmas dinner before totally crapping out. I will then get into the guts and Ill bet every Christmas cracker in the house that I find the same issue as the previous model.I will not even bother contacting Thermador. What gets my goat is that if Thermador were to install higher temperature rated and better quality capacitors in the first place then a ten year life would be likely achievable. The cost, with their bulk purchasing power, would be probably less than $5 per oven. Ill lay another bet that their cost accountants are a part of the problem, shaving cents here and there and seriously compromising what, for the price, should be a rolls Royce oven.Tip for all, if the oven starts to exhibit strange behavior find a friend who is competent with electronics. He can probably fix it for you for a bottle of his favorite tipple and a few electrolytic capacitors at a cost of less than $20. Thermador, shame on you. Cheap electrolytic capacitors, poor thermal design and a ‘couldnt care less’ service attitude. I know I have the receipt for the current oven somewhere in my files, purchased from Trail appliances along with a five ring Wolf gas range top, Wolf wok burner, Wolf 60 inch external fan hood and a Bosch dishwasher. Just not going to go looking for it right now.

We purchased the Thermador refrigerator (Model T42BD820NS) in June 2014, yes, 2 months ago, and we are already experiencing problems. The ice maker completely broke and we had to wait a WEEK to get a service rep out to tell us they have to order a part and will come back in another week to fix it. So, not only does the product suck, because it broke after 2 months. (this is a $10K model by the way, would expect better performance) But, the service package is AWFUL too. We have always had GE Appliances in our past houses and have NEVER had a problem. This is completely unacceptable. Buyers beware of this very expensive piece of crap. I hope this helps someone make an informed decision because this has been a very disappointing experience. (I do like their dishwasher and cooktop, though, have to admit)

We purchased Thermador double ovens for a brand new custom kitchen about 13 yr ago. We called Eatontown appliance of Eatontown NJ for service since we purchased the ovens there. It was $100 service call to inform us 2 days later that they cant get the parts as Thermador no longer carries them. So I called Thermador itself and they were very polite but totally unapologetic. You might be able to get them for a parts store on Internet (did not work). So unless you plan to throw out your ovens if you have a or any Thermador product I recommend you buy some other product. We are really impressed with our new dishwasher! It is well designed in many ways. Our old DW had a small third top rack, like this one, but the rack in the old one was too shallow to hold things like our frying pan spatula and was fairly useless. This rack holds those utensils nicely and has a super silverware holder built in, so we removed the silverware holder from the lower rack, which makes more room in the lowest rack. Which brings me to another impressive feature. This dishwasher holds a LOT of dishes! The slots are very close together, which made me wonder if there was enough room for the dishes to get clean, but it does a great job of cleaning, even though I follow their recommendation and do NOT rinse my dishes. If you worry about odors like I did, when you shut the door, it REALLY closes tight, so the dirty dishes do not smell up the kitchen. As a final note, the cycle is quick, and the default energy-saving drying works so well that even the bottoms of my coffee mugs, which always used to have a small amount of water that I had to dry by hand , come out completely dry.

To make this short, we have had 8 repair visits. The electronic display boards had to be replaced 4 times, the heating elements two times each oven, wire terminals to the elements, and broken door hinges on one oven. When we last experienced having the oven fail to heat, there were no replacement parts (in December), and then the 2nd oven stopped heating just last week (Jan). I have called and written but no one at Thermador at BSH Home Appliances, 1901 Main St. #608, Irvine, Ca. will respond nor have they ever cared. This is a Thermador, built-in, French-door fridge/freezer (Model #T36IT800NP), only 2 yrs. old that cost approx. $8500, uninstalled, pre panels. The design is very poor to begin with. The shelves span all the way across the interior. Having split shelves that allow different height items (like most French door refrigerators) would allow far more versatility in storage. As it is, all tall items must go in the door which means condiments clutter up the only three shelves. Within the first year, the seal on the left door started to fail. Next was the ice maker (made by Samsung!). The water filter needs to be changed every 6 mos. The first change was fine, the second change was not recognized by the computer and the change filter display was constantly illuminated. I had a service tech out who suggested I try another filter, perhaps my replacement was defective. I could ignore the display, but it quit making ice. Then it started making ice again sporadically. At this point, the tech suggested I order a new ice making unit and filter valve. Before I could even place the order, the machine went hyper and made so much ice it overflowed (supposed to have a sensor to prevent that) blocking the back of the freezer drawer so that it could not close. After removing the ice blockage, the flimsy top freezer shelf (which holds the ice bin) would not close and small piece of plastic that kept it in place fell off. Upshot, had to turn off the erratic ice maker, permanently remove the top shelf and bin, and we now have no ice mid-summer.I did my research and had ordered a KitchenAid, problem with stocking and time crunch so ended up with this very expensive and disappointing model on the recommendation of the sales person. Massive mistake! Top of the line machines should NOT be made with cheap parts. It also appears that the warranty will not cover any of the parts or labor to replace. Ive built many kitchens, but this is the first appliance that Ive ever regretted purchasing. Caveat emptor!

I was saddened when I finally went to look at the reviews on Thermador; THE REVIEWS ON ALL PRODUCTS ARE ALL POOR. DO NOT BUY ANY THERMADOR PRODUCT, YOU WILL REGRET IT. I bought a dual fuel range Model #PRD486EDHU/01 with a dishwasher. I could go on for some time about the many shortcomings of this equipment, here is the short list: expensive electronics are UNDER THE BURNERS, WHERE SPILLS LEAK ONTO, then it takes weeks and $1000s to repair. When one part fails, the whole system is out of commission. There are blowers that blow a strong stream of air away from the front of the stove. This blows all the smoke from inside the ovens out into the room where it cannot be removed by the hood. The Burner design extremely difficult to clean up spills.

TO say I am disappointed in the Thermador Freezer and Fridge would be a understatement. This is a unit that is supposed to be on the same quality level as Sub-Zero and Wolf.... IT IS NOT!! The freezer is 50% icemaker. Meaning that unlike any other, the freezer space is 50% consumed by the Icemaker unit. The ice maker unit is the poorest, worse functioning that I have ever experienced! It clogs most every time used. It produces ice at such a slow rate. Most days by 2 pm it is out of ice. The quality of this very expensive built in is below what you would expect from even a Kenmore, (by this I mean I have never experienced problems with any other past owned freezers) like the failures and design flaws of this overpriced poor performing unit. I have had the service department out 4 times in 11 months. Even the logo fell off the door within 6 months of installation! Stick with wolf or sub-zero. If budget minded... GE Monogram would easily be better that this Thermador.

We are in the middle of installing a new kitchen with all new Thermador appliances. We bought Miele for the dishwasher instead of the free Thermador. At this point, we wish we went all Miele for everything and here is why. Nothing has been used yet since we are awaiting countertops and water but we have electricity to the appliances. Right out of the box, one of the Thermador ovens has a defective main circuit board. The drawer microwave has a defective control panel. What is Thermadors response? Call a repair shop. Which we did, waited a week, tech shows up and yup its defective. Now we are waiting 4 weeks for the parts and then a week later, maybe they will repair our brand-new, never used, just installed Thermador appliances.Thermador is a brand name owned and managed by the same folks that make Bosch which is sold at Home Depot, etc. Thermador has splashy ads in high-end magazines, etc. but it is all hype. The product quality and service is abysmal. We were flabbergasted that Thermador would not let our kitchen designer/dealer replace the defective units. If you are considering premium appliances we would recommend Miele. Check out the information online before you buy. Miele is a private, family-owned company that is uncompromising in their focus on quality. They cost more than Thermador but they are worth it. We have three Miele dishwashers at other properties. Previously, we had a Thermador cooktop downdraft that the blower motor died after two years.

I guess Im lucky. I havent had a disaster with our convection double oven. We bought ours, used about 6 years ago, from a house that was being gutted and remodeled. It was a 95 model and I was thrilled to be getting an updated, and convection oven. Now, Im nervous about keeping it and having something disastrous happen from all of these other posts. I was only trying to find a replacement knob and was frustrated at not being able to find one since they are no longer manufactured. Our oven was very difficult to install. My husband and father were able to cut the holes into the attic and vent it properly, but it has never cooked evenly, even using convection, and it always takes 30-45 minutes longer to cook anything like casseroles or meatloaf, anything denser.

Seven years ago we remodeled our kitchen. Sadly the only location we had for a refrigerator was a wide, but shallow space. Our appliance contractor recommended this Thermador refrigerator Model # KBUDT4875E01, which cost over $14K! Recently the evaporator coil began leaking. We called the Thermador service department who referred us to a local repair company (Alltex Parker) in the DFW area. The service man told us our refrigerator was old, although is has a 12 year warranty. The good news is the $300.00 for parts was covered by our warranty. The bad news is the service call costs us $1500.00 for 4 hours to replace the coil! The service man informed us he sees many issues with Thermador appliances and it is not uncommon for these refrigerator coils to leak. He said he would be surprised if our refrigerator lasted the length of our warranty. This experience has taught me to do more appliance research upfront and to rely on customer reviews!

We remodeled our kitchen and purchased Thermador appliances to the tune of $18,000. I cant remember being more disappointed. The $8000 refrigerator arrived with rust on the handles. The local service contractor sent by Thermador to replace the handles scratched the panel necessitating service visits 2 and 3 within our first few weeks of ownership. Not long after the panels were replaced, the ice maker stopped working. Three additional service visits later, we still dont have ice. Weve owned the appliances for a little over two months, have had six service calls, each requiring that we give a three hour window. The ice maker has worked a grand total of about 10 days in those two months. Calls to Thermadors customer service department prove to be most unsatisfactory as they dont return promised phone calls. Who knows if well ever get ice. Im thanking my lucky stars that we purchased the retailers extended service agreement for all our appliances. I would recommend that you look elsewhere for your premium appliances as Thermadors customer service is undoubtedly not up to par for appliances in this price range.

My contact at Thermador alleviated the cost of the new thermostat that was legal without mercury. Yes, I gave up my self-cleaning forever, a bummer. My local contractor came out several times to get it right. I wasnt the nicest about it as I was so frustrated to spend around $8000 for an appliance and hood and just 9 years in, they said it was obsolete and had no warranty. End of the day, in 2011, after the repair before Thanksgiving, it didnt get to temperature again. Turkey was ruined. The local service came and did one more fix after reconnecting with Thermador and discovered they sent the wrong repair information, final repair was in December 2011. Ever since then, cooking is going great. Knowing I could put in my turkey last Thursday and knowing it would be perfect, which it was, was awesome. I feel like I got my 75% of original purchase back(!) less the self-cleaning. Thanks for monitoring mean customer service reps and being pro active! Please forward this to my local repair company. I think it was All-Service in Bellevue. Thanks.

I purchased $8000 Thermador oven that is worthless. The broiler function has never worked, and it does not heat evenly. The top igniter unit does not work. I have spent over $1500 in repairmen claiming they fixed the problem when in reality they never fixed anything. With a gas oven, how does one know if it is truly fixed? Do not buy Thermador. The company, the appliance center where we purchased the oven, and the repairmen were all of no help. Now we are stuck with this expensive oven that we cant even use. All items come out burnt on the bottom and completely raw on top.

Purchased new for $7500 and has been nothing but a nightmare since. Bake element blew up 3 days after delivery. Control board shorted out 2 weeks after that. All of those 2 problems were manufactures warranted. Bake element has consistently burned out at least once every year since. All costing $128.00 each time. Less than 5 months ago the 2 fuses blew along with the bake element and the control board. That cost over $1200. Turned on the oven yesterday and the bake element blew up again with a loud electrical shorting noise. This time, the back side of the range caught on fire. I have burn damage to my hardwood flooring and wet plaster wall behind the stove. If I had been some regular consumer that did not have the knowledge on how to kill the power to the stove, it would have burned my house down. The stove is now a total loss. All of the wiring has burned up, along with considerable smoke damage to my home. I am thoroughly disgusted with Thermador. I plan to take civil action against Bosch, and file a class action lawsuit. This is a problem that has the potential to kill someone. Bosch and Thermador are fully aware of the problem and have chose to ignore it for many years. They will no longer ignore me. Please feel to free to respond to my posting if you desire to join the class action lawsuit.

Spent over $27,125.00 on Thermador appliances. 48 range knobs were very loose and oven temp was not working. It was on 350 but the oven would only slightly warm. Got a new thermostat knob yet the oven does not heat up accurately. Smaller oven to this day still does not work properly. Bake means broil!! We can never get a correct temp. And for the first 5 mins it broils no matter what temp you are on. Fridge/freezer side by side was delivered with broken wheels. Ice machine has broken twice - Went months without ice. Drawers have broken. Now our dishwasher on the outside panel has RUSTED. How does stainless steel rust? The whole front is brown. We sent pics in and complained. Oh but you only have 30 days on cosmetics. Buy this cleaner... Customer Service is disgraceful. They dont care at all - I want a Thermador sales rep in my house NOW! Shame on you Thermador. You have no customer service loyalty. You took my money and wont help anyone by the looks of things, not just me. Be warned. Dont buy Thermador, I am sick over this...

We purchased all Thermador Equipment for a kitchen remodel. After two weeks the refrigerator handle fell off our $9,000 column refrigerator/Freezer, then a couple weeks later the freezer handle fell off too. I contacted Setzers (who I bought the equipment from here in Jacksonville FL) who contacted the repair center. This was in Mid February, and after several emails and calls it is now Mid May and still nothing! I also call Thermador who really didnt seem to care that their equipment is falling apart. I spent over $20,000 on Thermador Equipment, you would think they would have been somewhat concerned! Im still working on getting these handles put on but I would not recommend getting Thermador. I will never use them or Setzers again!

Its the same problem that I have read about over and over and over again. My 10 year old Thermador 27 double oven has had most of the problems described in previous reviews. The incessant beeping where you have to shut down breaker for it to stop, the default codes that pop up because of the erratic sensors, and finally the control board going on the fritz and finding out that there is no way to purchase anew or even rebuilt one because it has been discontinued. So, basically I have to spend $5,000 for a new oven when I only need a $300 replacement part. However, the good news is that I wont have to put up with this nonsense any longer.

Thermador 48 double oven ,4 burner, grill and griddle - We remodeled our kitchen in 2005, and I purchased what I thought was the best cooking appliance available. I was sadly mistaken. The small left side oven no longer works properly and can only be used as a warming drawer. The temperature will no longer go above 120 degrees. The part needed to repair this I am told is $900 plus labor. I doubt if I have used this oven more than 25 times since it was installed. I’m very dissatisfied since the oven we replaced (not Thermador) had worked perfectly since 1986.

My brand new $4000 Thermador double oven does not operate; I must flip my homes electrical breaker to turn it off; and I have waited 20 days to have it repaired or replaced. It is noon on December 23, 2016 and both the Thermador customer service line and the Bosch Home offices are closed. The product does not function; the repair person they sent was not helpful and wants me to wait until January 3, 2017 for a repair, and I cannot talk to anyone but an after hours messaging center about my non-functioning oven a day before Christmas. On December 3, 2016, my family tried to use its new Thermador double oven (Model ME302JS/04) and received an error code (118). We called to the customer service line for help and they failed to send a technician. We called again, but could not get a technician until December 23. When the technician came, he did not have the necessary parts - despite contacting the company weeks earlier and giving them the exact error code for the problem. The next available repair slot is January 3, 2017. The product does not fulfill the warranty of merchantability, fitness, or any general warranties; the customer service is ineffective; and the Bosch-employed repair organization is slow, unprepared, disorganized, and unhelpful. This company has no sense of urgency about a major household investment.

I was led into buying a complete Thermador kitchen when I remodeled. I got top of the line Thermador Freedom tower fridge/freezer at $6000, 40 double oven at $3000, stainless dishwasher, forget price, and a range top. The stove top is the only one still functioning after three years. Every other unit has failed multiple times, both in and out of warranty. None of the issues were ever addressed by Thermador. The oven was so broken I got a credit card refund after a long dispute over 18 months after the purchase date. As a software engineer, I can tell that all these problems are from poorly written software. The behavior is characteristic of inexperienced developers and poor error handling. I contacted the Western US distributor director and suggested that he contact me if he wanted some objective feedback on the oven problems.I had a conference call with Thermador engineers and they truly had no idea how an oven controller is supposed to work. They claimed that the oven knew better what temperature to use than the user and as such it never got hot enough. Apparently, it second-guesses the cook and decides on some other temperature based on a combination of sensor readings. The freezer failed after about 14 months when the ice maker unit self destructed and was going to cost 40% of a new freezer to fix. I declared time of death on the fridge when the main controller ceased communicating with any of the peripherals. I had been diligently replacing them as they failed but once the brain died, it was over, too much money to replace. The dishwasher, well, who ever thought a dishwasher needed an on/off button? With Thermador, you need one so you can reboot it frequently when it locks up. I guess this is the least problematic unit. All the plastic gizmos for flip up trays, etc. have all broken off in the the first six months. OK, I lied, this ones still working. 1 out of 3, after a > $10K outlay. Never again.

Thermador double oven ME302JS, Refrigerator T36BB810SS - We purchased a suite of appliances including a fridge, range top, double oven, and dishwasher. The double ovens function just fine. However they buzz very, very loudly. Service has been to our house four times to either diagnose or attempt a repair to no avail. The service techs have been pleasant to work with and I appreciate their efforts as they have expressed genuine frustration. They have also expressed frustration with Bosch as they havent been helpful to find a solution. The fridge suffers from a slow ice maker. After 24 hrs, the bin is only about two inches deep of ice. The motor was replaced, no success. Bosch told the techs to lower the temp from zero to -4. That didnt work either. The techs have asked for further help from a Bosch area rep on both issues but they havent been forthcoming. Ive also sought help from the store who sold us the appliances. They forwarded my video of the noise to Bosch personnel, but they havent responded either. My patience has run out. If Bosch was responsive and helpful with a solution, this review would be more positive.

However, this was NOT the problem and the temp gauge was still broken. They argued this was not the original issue I called in about (it was). I even have the pictures I took when I initially called them that highlighted the broken temp gauge. Now they want to charge me $500 for the repair. I absolutely hate them. ProGrand oven and range - My wife and I bought this range that was a dream
ProGrand oven and range - My wife and I bought this range that was a dream of my wifes, which now has turned out to be her worst NIGHTMARE!!!!!!!!! We had it installed in our remodeled kitchen. Looks really nice, but for the most part so does a bookend. The range part works well but the oven is a joke. The only thing it cooks good is our bank account...! The wonderful people at Thermador thought they had better way to light a oven, putting a delay of so many seconds on the gas valve, before it lights... Thus filling your oven full of gas and when it lights, which you have a 50/50 chance that it might, the door on the oven jumps out a bit as it is now lit... For how long it stays going is a crapshoot. If you are cooking a roast that will take over a hour, forget it. It wont relight to keep at temp. But the fun part of it is the temp on the dial shows whatever the temp you set it at! Open the oven and its around 100 degrees. NICE! It is what it is and thats JUNK!We had a company who was great repairing the Wonderful PRO-Grand, new name should be PRO Crap, but anyway the repairman found a missing part in the oven. Called the Company and got the repair tech on the phone, who stated, We do not sell that Part... Now three weeks later the repair company going to bat for me, got the people at Thermador to send us the part. Which in fact they forgot to install at the so-called Factory! Wonderful the problem fixed right?????? NOPE! Installed that part and the oven is still doing the same thing...! Anyway not wanting to see the Nice repairman again for awhile we started using the barbecue as our new oven!Works great keeps the temp right and it only cost $300.00. Pro Grand $6000.00 Plus.... Is there something wrong with this picture????? Now we are getting close to the end of this Saga.....! Bit the bullet and called the Nice Repairman. Was like old home week for the first three minutes, but he got the Pro Grand apart could not figure it out and call the Factory Tech. His name is Mr. Confused. Was told what was happening and he could not figure it out either.....! So the Nice Repairman asked, Why do we need this delay on the gas and light it like the broiler lights? which is right now... Doesnt figure does it.....! DA. Okay, now one great-minded repairman and one confused Factory Tech tells the Nice Repairman, You mean like the Older Pro Grands? Yes, the OLD ONE!!!!!!! Yes!!!! Factory Tech the Old tried and true Lights every time system. Okay, the Confused Factory Tech says... Now we wait!!!!!!! Nice repairman leaves to find out what he needs as far as parts and if he really is right... Yes he was!!!!! Mr. Nice Repairman got all the new stuff ordered and now I have to Open my wallet again to pay the Nice Repair Company...! The cost of this repair was Only $475.80 thus bring up the total cost of repairs to $1065.71 Pro Grands final repair total. Dont waste your time with Thermador thinking they will stand behind the product. The Fact is they wont....! For those of you who dont know this Thermador is owned by Bosch...... !

Purchased 7 Thermador appliances and installed them in Jan 2008. Freezer column quit in Mar 2013. Thermador had me call a repair service. 4 trips to my home and he was unable to determine what failed. Thermador said I needed a 2nd opinion and gave me 2 services to call. 1 did not even service Thermador and the other did not service my area. They have no one else to call so deemed my freezer unrepairable and offered me a $1000 discount on a new one. It is just over 5 years old and they have no one to fix it so they want to charge me for a new one?I emailed the regional manager for the NE and that has gone nowhere. 3+ months and no freezer, no support, no repair service, and they want $2100 to replace what they cant service. If the luxury items they sell are not going to last, then they should at least have repair service to support their poorly manufactured products.

Yes, its been 12 years, but, for what we paid for this oven, to have the horrible response from Thermador. And, to have a piece of scrap metal after paying $480 in repairs...well, just unthinkable. Customer service was dismissive, at best. Condescending at worst. My story begins. Purchased 12 years ago, several repairs along the way, but she was well used. Then, about 4 years ago, the self cleaning went. I had only used it twice, so it was not worth putting up with or paying for repairs (which are quite expensive and require a Thermador Tech to come out). No error code, it just wouldnt work. Then, the broiler started to give me trouble. All of a sudden, we had the power go out and BOOM! We have no oven with 1 error code indicating the main circuit board is out. While the board was $250 -ish, with the service calls and labor, the cost was about $480. Which, I would have been fine with, if the oven worked. The tech put the oven on, it went on, went to about 275, and he determined it was fixed. That evening, in preparation of dinner, I turned the oven on and it would not go beyond 325 before shutting down. I called back. We are on service call 3 at this point. He cant figure out the problem, maybe a faulty circuit board, he will have to contact Thermador and get back with me. Service call 4. Wow, big problem, it is NOW the blow motor. And, they no longer manufacture Blow Motors for this model. (Used to be a $100-ish part, pretty inexpensive). Well, sorry, but the main circuit board is not refundable, basically, ** you. I called Thermador, initially, to ask about the Blow Motor.I was told, Well, these arent like automobiles where we manufacture parts forever. My response, Well, you charged me as much as my first automobile, so I would think there should be an alternative. Sorry, check online, see if anyone has old parts...basically, ** you. So, I begin the search for a new oven, and yes, I have EXCLUDED Thermador from my search. I begin to think, how do I verify the tech didnt break this blow motor in his install? I do not think I should have paid for this repair if that is the case. Or, did he misdiagnose and there were 2 issues he should have seen, basically saving me the payment on the board. So, I call Thermador again, to verify if there are multiple issues, should I have seen multiple error codes? Seems like a reasonable question. Well, customer service cant answer this. Only a technician can. Ok, transfer me to a technician, please. Well, they are on the road. Well, can I leave a message. Well, no. Well, can someone else answer this? Well, of course not. But, I will be happy to get you another outside technician to come in. But, you see, I know the error code, I know the part is not available, why would I pay for ANOTHER visit to tell me my oven is a 400# piece of trash? Maybe I should be happy I had 12 years of reasonable happiness with her, but, I would hope that when you pay this much for an appliance the Co would stand behind her. Well, just to let you know, that will only last for a few years, until they stop manufacturing parts for it.

We bought a thermador 48 dual fuel oven 6 years ago. Every year we have had major problems and spent thousands repairing the oven to no avail. We have had the main board replaced twice, fan switches, heating elements, and a variety of other things. We have not been able to cook one holiday meal in the oven, we have had to resort to the BBQ and the toaster. It looks like this year is the same, code 43 is blinking which means I need to spend another 700$ on the oven. Thermador has been terrible to deal with, they really dont care. This time I am not spending the money to repair it. I am throwing this thing in the trash and getting a different brand. This is a terrible product made by a horrible company with third rate engineers and an insensitive work force. My new Thermador dishwasher was installed on 6-12-06. When the original warranty was about to expire I decided to purchase an extended warranty, something I have continued to renew every year. Why? Because every single year Ive had this dishwasher, Ive had problems with it (wouldnt fill with water, water wouldnt drain, machine wouldnt shut off, etc). At the present time Ive been without a dishwasher for over a week because the machine isnt cleaning at all. I Purchased Thermador Appliances for my Kitchen (Microwave, Refrigerator, Stove, Oven, Dishwasher) for a second home that I live in two times a year for a short period of time. Microwave died, repairing it would cost over $600. No option to replace it because it is discontinued and no other microwave will fit the built in space in my kitchen. Customer services pretty much gave me the only option of remodeling my kitchen as a solution, or to spend another $1000 in the same old microwave purchased from a distributor that still has it on stock.I asked if they were really advising me to purchase a microwave they obviously discontinued because it was defective....they said yes! Grace, the manager I spoke with was absolutely the worst employer at Thermador. She hang up on me. Barret a customer service representative was nice initially but after speaking to his supervisor (Grace) came back to me lying and telling me I had no alternatives but to remodel. Barret I feel for you for having a boss like that.Aside from the microwave, the dishwasher door also broke.... The parts I ordered to fix it dont match my old parts. I contacted Thermador for this as well and again....no solution. They dont know what is going on and nothing they can do. I do advice to stay away from this company. Your appliances will break with very very little use and they will wash their hands. Sadly Thermador is the same as Bosch. I should have spend a bit more money and stick to WOLF. We bought a 48-inch Thermador range hood which is the worst that weve ever used. If you look at my backsplash pictures, you would understand why I am complaining - it is almost useless. We contacted the customer service and they stopped by. While their assessment was the range hood was just fine, the oily backsplash was just that we cooked too much. They refused to fix it.

The Thermador dishwasher was installed in the summer of 2012 (7 years ago). I have had to replace the computer as the lighting wasnt working (within 2 years). Shortly after replacing the same problem re-occurred. Now the dishwasher does not turn off and it runs and runs with no water. Thermador stated that I should get it serviced - no concern whatsoever that this product was costly to purchase and costly to repair. Thermador DWHD630IFM. No more products from Thermador.

I purchased a blower with a broken internal motor and Thermador is unwilling to address the problem in a logical manner that would reflect what one would expect from a premium brand. As part of a kitchen remodel, I chose a Thermador cooktop and hood insert. Their blower motor was faulty from the moment I first tried to use it to provide ventilation to my stove. This is mandatory functionality in my state, so it needs to be addressed. It took a while to diagnose it because thermador does not have enough techs in the San Francisco area. They finally (after months) diagnosed the problem as a faulty blower motor. I am still covered under the warranty period. The hood insert is inside a decorative hood. The custom hood was created prior to inserting the Thermador hood insert and blower so that the hood is easily removed and replaced, if needed. However, Thermadors techs are not comfortable with anything that is not standard. I was told by Thermador that I would need to hire an installer to remove the blower, so that their tech could then come and replace the blower motor specifically, and then I would need the installer to return in order to re-install the blower. Crazy! This results in my having to set aside 8-12 hours minimum across three separate days (because of service windows. Thermador alone has a 4-5 hour service window) AND having to pay 3 times what I would need to IF Thermador (a) could have done the whole job themselves OR (b) IF Thermador would have allowed the installer to do an a simple warranty exchange of the entire blower (as opposed to just the internal blower motor mechanism). I am using an installer who is authorized to do Thermador warranty exchanges. Thermador would rather their customer spend tons of money and time remedying a situation that they could have prevented with proper quality control processes than standing behind their product. I would expect much more from a premium brand. To me, this is not premium and I would recommend that others spend those premium dollars on true premium brands, such as Miele.

We purchased a brand new Thermador Range based on the fact that weve owned one in the past and loved it. Since we moved into our brand new house, the oven has not worked. They have sent a tech out four times to repair it and it has been three months and we still do not have a working oven. They have finally agreed to replace the oven but cant tell us when we will receive it. This company has horrible customer service and could not simply apologize and offer any sort of compensation for the inconvenience. We will never again purchase Thermador products based on their inadequate customer service skills. I finally spoke with a supervisor named Marie who said that she could send me a cutting board for my inconvenience. Do yourself a favor and purchase a Wolf Range rather than Thermador. We have a Subzero refrigerator and that company called to review how we like our fridge, what was our experience like and is there anything they could do to improve their service. Thats a company who truly cares and understands how to be successful. From now on I will only purchase Wolf/Subzero appliances.

One week later 2 burners not working, small oven not working. Large oven not heating evenly. Where I bought it said call Thermador customer service and request a new stove. Called Thermador, got a case number, supplied all info, received an email saying I need a tech to diagnose that it is not operating properly -- da dude! No techs in Vermont are even returning calls, the store I brought it from says Thermador responds to customers. Not them. Wow $12 --!3,000.00 for a new stove that is 3 months old and this is the service one receives. !!!Dont Do It. Buy Something Else!!! Terrible! Works great and well. I have enjoyed using this product every chance I get. I do want to try something else though to experience more. Value was good for what I got. The product works well and provides what I need to feed my family. That is what I need in equipment. Good price and works wonders. Appearance is great. Looks strong and sturdy and I like the modern look that it provides my kitchen. Makes it stand out more than the past stove I had in there. Fits in the little spot where my stove goes, not too big nor too small in size. Perfect oven size for what I need to cook in there also.

I remodeled my kitchen in July 2015. I was so excited when my Thermador Range arrived and was put into place. My daughter and I couldnt wait to use it! She started by baking cookies. She is an amazing baker. The cookies she baked in the Thermador came out very different. They were done on the outside and raw on the inside. Same thing every time she baked after that. She really thought she was losing her touch. Yesterday was Thanksgiving and I had 8 people coming for dinner. I couldnt wait to show off my new range! I put the Turkey in the oven at 11:30 on 325. At 5:30 it looked done on the outside but was raw on the inside. It was thoroughly thawed when I put it in the oven. As a matter of fact everything took twice as long to cook as it should have. After everyone went home and I was cleaning the kitchen I decided to put the self cleaning on. About 20 minutes later there was a big crash and shattered glass all over my kitchen floor!! The interior glass exploded!! I was so scared and in such shock! I started researching and realized there are so many problems with Thermador! I dont want to fix it. I just want it out of my house. I contacted an attorney and Im hoping I can give it back. I called the appliance place I bought it from and asked them to take it back. I told customer service I would purchase a Wolf and pay the difference. She laughed and said What are we supposed to do with the Thermador? Why Thermador is still in business I dont understand! I will never make a big purchase again without seeing the reviews first. I hope this saves someone else from making the big mistake I did.

I purchased my Thermador side by side refrigerator in 2010 (along with an oven and microwave wall unit). Recently, my refrigerator has started to malfunction. I called their customer service center and had them give me numbers (at least 8) for authorized repair centers. This proved useless as not even a Thermador certified technician will come to work on my unit. After several phone calls to the Thermador customer service number and reminding them that they guarantee after-warranty service anywhere in Canada, they asked me to provide photos proving that I, in fact, owned a Thermador fridge. This ludicrous request being met (who would waste time and energy calling a Thermador 1-800 number if they owned another brand), they now say that I actually need to call Whirlpool because it is Whirlpool that makes this Thermador fridge. This company is not even willing to take ownership and responsibility of their very own branded product. A product for which they put their stamp on and charge big money. They have passed the problem onto someone else!!

Our Thermador range needed parts and now we are finding out Thermador does not keep parts past 7 years. Apparently they dont expect their products to last more than 7 years or they just force their customers to have to buy another expensive item to replace it. Thermador Professional Pro-Guard Model PRL486EDG/02 - After reading many of the reviews on this website, it is fitting that we share our negative experience as well. Many of the issues posted by other owners are the same we have experienced - small oven explosion, XLO burners not working, replacement of both oven controls and most recently, ovens not operating. The stove is 5 years old and was purchased new. The first issues began shortly after moving in to our new home. The local authorized service representative really didnt know much about the equipment. We have since found a local repair rep who has tried to repair each issue and has gotten timely tech support but for the most part, it has been to replace a part. Currently, every feature is working; however, we do not recommend buying a Thermador product due to lack of meaningful warranty, customer support, and the cost of ownership. We will replace it rather than invest any more money in life support. Had we discovered this forum before we purchased the stove, we would have chosen another manufacturer.

We had a Thermador double oven installed (built in) in 1999. We have had two major issues in that time. First was the control panel replacement - the electric panel needed to be switched out with a new one (2006). Now the convection feature for both ovens is not working (the bake, broil, self-clean are working properly - thats the good news!). So I called Customer Service and did you know the life of a Thermador oven is roughly 13 years? My message is, dont be fooled by Thermador!

We were instructed to make full payment for everything in July to ensure we get all our appliances in time for installation by end August. We are still waiting for our oven and microwave which we are told is on backorder for end October. They blame it on Thermador slow production. Why take our money if they can’t deliver? Calling Thermador to complain is the most horrific experience to go through. They keep you on hold for more than an hour and then cut you off. Twice!!! After talking Thermador customer support guy, I was told that I need to replace the three piece combo even the microwave and warmer are still working. Can you imagine the quality and service they provide for such a high end appliance? My old oven kept working for 30 years. They just assuming we can throw everything out and get new ones every few years? I just dont trust them. Does anyone on this board have gone through similar ordeal? Is it possible to only replace the broken oven? It seems to me these have separate controls and why we have to replace all of them when just one thing breaks. Given that we are good clients, we proposed they offer the parts for free we will pay the labor. After 2 calls, they asked for a written request which we did. After waiting 3 weeks for an answer, we called back to be told that the decision had been given the following week, but they are too busy to call their clients back. Thermador -Unless you enjoying seeing F-34 codes on the panel, do not buy! Their products are suppose to be a higher end brand of appliances and the cost goes right along with that. I have a Thermador built in double wall oven. I cannot tell you how many control panels I have had replaced at $486 each plus labor! Tack on the relay and touch panel replacements, Ive clearly spent more on the repairs than the outrageously priced oven. I had an authorized Thermador service company here. After following the advice of THERMADOR tech. (who was on speaker phone,) they decided to replace the control panel. That was done but it did not fix the problem. So now trying a display panel BUT once an electronic part is opened it cannot be returned. So $486 down the drain. When panel was connected something happened with electric and everything went out. Now they say I need relay, control and display! NO THANK YOU!!I have never written a negative comment on any appliance before and probably would not have bothered with this, but the poor customer service was worse than the actual horrible oven. When I called customer service, I can tell that she was not interested in what I had to say. All service call copies were emailed to the email address given with a case number she gave me. I followed up 3 days later and of course they said customer service gave me the wrong email address. Back to square 1. No working oven, in the middle of a pandemic with a family of 6 and only a cooktop and microwave. Thank goodness my cooktop is a Viking. Never had a service call on it. I am purchasing a new wall oven. I would love to drop this off at Thermadors doorstep. Purchasing a new oven. Needless to say it will not be a Thermador.

I recently purchased a Thermador double wall oven. Since I was replacing an existing Thermador double wall oven and needed the same size, I did not check the reviews. My mistake. The ovens do not properly heat, so I contacted the store where I purchased the ovens and they came and checked them out. According to Yale Electric where I purchased the ovens, I should not expect the ovens to be at temp when the ovens register that they are at temp. I was told to preheat for a half an hour before using. Even when I do this, the ovens do not properly heat. Second issue is with the door venting system. The vents are just above the window, and while you cook, splattering can seep into the space leaving you with streaks and food on the inside of the glass. There is no way to clean it. I would not recommend purchasing a Thermador and regret my decision to do so.

I purchased a 48 steam/range in 2013. I have experienced trouble with the gasket around the steam oven. While it was under warranty it was repaired several times. Each time within a short amount of time the rubber gasket came loose. Now they will not stand behind it. Earlier this year, they agreed to pay for the part but not the labor to install it. They know this is an issue. I went to Pacific Sales and looked at the new like range and the new unused one already had a loose gasket. This is very disappointing as I have close to $16,000 into the cost of this range. I am very surprised that there is no class action lawsuit regarding this problem. It is amazing these oven units cost so much, considering they are so poorly made. However, my biggest problem with Thermador appliances is that the authorized repair people are laughably inadequate. Guy came to fix our oven and was beyond insulting to me. I requested a second guy, who fixed the first problem but then did something that incapacitated 3 out of 6 of our burners, which had worked perfectly when he walked in the door. We purchased a Thermador oven 2 years ago and it hasnt been working properly from the very beginning. We have gotten gas smell coming from the oven. Thermador has either come out to fix it or sent a subcontractor to fix it now 3 times. Each time the technicians instruments register an of gas. The technicians suggestions range from altering the settings inside to replacing parts to replacing the oven door. It originally took 3 attempts to install it properly. When first being installed, the hood was attached partially to my ceiling but the installers informed me that it wasnt their job to install the exhaust hood. Why would I need to contact Thermador specifically to have the hood installed, when I obviously purchased both? Last week I noticed the gas smell again as I was cooking bacon in the oven. I took the bacon out and clearly half the bacon was cooked and the other half was very underdone. The next day was Thanksgiving and the same happened with the turkey. I took photos, one leg was still bloody and rawish looking while the other leg was completely done. Plus there was a strong gas odor so I know something wasnt igniting in the oven again. This has been going on since we purchased the oven. I called technical support and they informed me they couldnt get a repair person out until January, and its November right now. The thing has never worked properly, they have some nerve telling me they cant come out and fix it until January. So they gave me the number of the subcontractor they refer people to and I called them several days ago. I had to leave a message. The next day I received a call that my information would be sent to the technician who would call me to schedule and I have not as of yet heard back, 3 days later. I will absolutely never deal with this company again.

Based on our experience, changing the one-year warranty to five years would be the only way we would recommend Thermador. You will read in my post what was under the one-year warranty, which is not sufficient. We purchased a refrigerator, stove and vent hood, dishwasher, under the counter double drawer refrigerator, and double drawer refrigerator top/freezer bottom, all purchased between 2017 - 2019. The vent hood motor, installed in 2017, has been replaced twice—one under warranty and one we just bought last week (11/2020) for $400++. The refrigerator replacement parts are drawer rollers, freezer drawer latch (not warrantied), and icemaker sensor was replaced under warranty. The double drawer refrigerator/freezer ice maker was not working when delivered in September of 2019, replaced under warranty. Currently, the dishwasher has a high pitch sound when you start it and only runs on the auto setting. All other wash settings do not run. Due to COVID, income loss, and out of warranty, we havent addressed this issue. Vent hood labels have all worn off, and if liquid splatters on the stovetop while cooking, mostly burn on the surface. Yes, a removable cover would be great, as mentioned in another post. How about one for the oven? Remember, all issues happen between 2017 and 2020; three years!

The following information is based on MY observations pertaining to the new Thermador kitchen appliance product line (range, microwave, oven and dishwasher) that we purchased in March 2019 and had installed in our home in May 2019. The six burner range with a grill is beautiful and works as designed to work. The microwave has a timer function that you cannot use because the panel light times out thereby cancelling the timer you set for cooking needs (I’m told this is a design function that cannot be changed due to energy-savings guidelines). You have to press six (6) button options before it’s set and starts to warm up a cup of water or other warming/heating needs. There is no distinction in the sound coming out of it whether set at the lowest (1) or the highest (5). The volume control, while set at its lowest setting (1), is so very loud and can be heard throughout the entire house (I’m told this is a design function that cannot be changed). The oven works as designed to work, however, the volume control is similar to the microwave except in REVERSE; the sound is barely audible while set at the highest setting (5) which means you must remain in the kitchen to hear the timer go off indicating your food is ready to be checked and come out of the oven (I’m told that they’re working on a design fix due to consumer feedback and it could take several months to correct). The dishwasher manual encourages you NOT to rinse your dishes but to scrape the food off and allow the sensor to regulate the cleaning mode.Since it uses a condensation heat mode to dry your dishes it never seems to completely cool down and dry out inside the unit so the remaining food on the plate starts to decay and smell foul when you open the door. I had to purchase an old fashioned timer to set on the kitchen counter for cooking timing purposes, and warming up a midnight snack or a cup of water for tea in the morning are a thing of the past unless I want to wake everyone in the house up.

Got a lemon. Simple as that. Brand new $6,500.00 stove not functioning properly, on broil or bake, intense amount of heat and smoke coming from stove after it is heated. I do have a good vent system and must have it on, otherwise I would have the alarm go off for all the smoke that builds up and seeps out of oven. After 2 technicians I am told the blower element needs to be replaced. Brand new stove and parts need to be replaced??? Unacceptable!!! Newly installed and after a few uses with manufacturing defects it should not be considered safe to use. Thermador is only willing to replace parts and not replace.

After being a happy Wolf user for many years, I purchased Thermador appliances looking to save some money. Big Mistake. The equipment didnt work since installation and was told I have to wait 3-4 weeks for a replacement to get to Puerto Rico from Miami. I called yesterday for an update and was told the replacement will travel from Germany to Miami, and then Miami to Puerto Rico. Who knows how long this will take?! I can still not review the range because I cant use it without the vent hood. Very disappointed and mad at myself for purchasing this brand.

Ive had a Thermador refrigerator and oven. These appliances are very expensive ($10,000 each), and within 2 1/2 years, I began having problems with them. First, one of the ovens doesnt light. Then, the other stopped lighting. They are very unreliable. My refrigerator doesnt dispense ice. So now, I have to pay somebody to come out and fix these very expensive and unreliable appliances. I would not own another Thermador product.

I have 6 burner Thermador range and called for repairs for two burners, oven door and broiler. They said that they ordered the parts and made appt for repairs a couple of weeks later. I took the day off and the 1st visit was just to see the range. Then I had to take another day off for the real repairs and when they came, somehow after they finished another two burners did not work. No explanation. I was told I was responsible financially. 3rd visit and day taken off they came with the wrong parts. I called to complain and have them accommodate my time so that I dont take time off, in addition not be responsible for the two extra burners because it was the techs fault, and they refused both.

When our old Thermador oven gave up the ghost, we looked at Thermador plus two other competitive top-end brands. Picking another Thermador was not a hard decision after twenty plus years of great experience with our old oven. We were really sold by the way Thermador has improved their already beautiful stove top. The new unique simmer feature where the burner actually turns off and on automatically is amazing.

We bought a very high end Thermador dishwasher, DWHD630GCM, about 20 months ago. Four weeks ago, its lower pan completely broke so we called their repair service. The repairman told us that its not reparable, but Thermador should replace it because the hinge is not broken and hence the pan could not have been broken by us. We called Thermador to replace this dishwasher, but they flatly refused by saying that there is no manufacturing defect in this dishwasher. It is patently absurd that the bottom pan can break by abnormal use but the corresponding hinge on the door does not break.
