Im on my 3rd Thermador full package in my 3rd house. Same pkg 3 times w/ some upgrades: Pro Harmony range, Pro fridge, Top of the line Sapphire dishwasher, microwave drawer, hood. $25k+. The 1st pkg was good. The 2nd pkg had issues w/ the range. Spark units were intermittently working. Repaired, worked fine. Dishwasher recalled electrical shocks or leaks. Dont remember. Microwave/dishwasher made by Bosch worked well. Now 3rd pkg. Fridge auto door assist mostly doesnt work. Replaced parts-still doesnt work. Gave up. The range is THE WORST! Ive had 12 repair calls.. 4 of 6 burners are blasting like blow torches since day 1. Theyre super loud. The repairman said tech support told him Its supposed to be like that. I appealed because my last one didnt do that. Thermador told me to convince the boss to help even tho she agreed that theres something wrong with it. This is ridiculous! After replacing almost every part in the range w/ 12 service calls. Countless phone calls! 4 burners still blast like blowtorches. I memorized the model # PRG366, $6300. Replaced regulator twice. Gas company checked pressure twice. I need a replacement, but Thermador isnt helping. The PRG366 at my last house on the same street didnt do this.

I have a refrigerator and freezer combo, everything works fine but there is a clicking noise that recently started that my dog is reacting to. It happens twice a day for about 30 minutes and there is one click about every 5 minutes, seems like it is coming from the bottom. Had a repairman to the house, said everything is fine and I cant diagnose it since I dont hear it and of course it happened again the second he left. I dont care but my dog freaks out every time this happens. Anyone out there have any clue what this could be and how to stop it? No warning lights or error messages at all. Thanks!

The size was ok, enough for my family. We had used it for three and a half years but we have to buy another one as we changed our apartment. The products performance was very good. We were happy to use it. It did not use much electricity which is extremely important for my family. The product appearance was nice. It looked very expensive and stylish. My friends always told me that they also like how it looks. I liked this refrigerator because of its value. We were happy to use it.

The ovens in my 48 Thermador Range are garbage. For years I have had problems with the larger oven not heating to the proper temperature (getting up to 250 degrees regardless of where the temperature is set). The motherboard had to be replaced but it still hasnt worked properly. Its hit or miss when I turn it on to see if it will get past 250 degrees. Recently the smaller oven went out completely. Over eight hundred dollars in repairs later, the small oven now acts like the large oven and it is hit or miss to see if it will get up to the proper temperature. It seems to work better if I turn the larger oven on at the same time. Its absolutely unacceptable that there are so many complaints with this company. I will NEVER again purchase anything from Thermador. Now my dilemma is whether to continue to invest money in repairs or just chuck the whole thing and go with another brand. It makes me sick to think about it.

We spent $20,000 on Thermador appliances in Aug. 2015, and our $8000.00 freezer continuously fails to produce ice or when it does the entire bin freezes into a solid block. Weve had the ice maker replaced once already and this one has stopped as well. Now only 7 months old we are informed that we will have to buy a replacement filter for $50.00 for it every 6 months!!! (And no doubt will have to pay an exorbitant service charge every time once the warranty runs out.) We bought a used Kitchen Aid for $200.00 twenty three years ago to use in our basement and have never had to spend an additional cent on it!!! I will never buy another Thermador appliance.

I purchased a complete set of Thermador appliances, double oven, microwave oven, dishwasher and refrigerator three years ago for my kitchen remodel. Every appliance has stopped working at least once. This Thanksgiving 2011, while cooking dinner for 25 family members, the ovens went out again. The oven and refrigerator has quit three times. They were repaired once under warranty and I have paid over 1600.00 for the other repairs. This stuff is junk. The service hotline was unhelpful and kept giving me service companies that would not work on their product anymore. I will never recommend or purchase anything from this manufacturer again.

We purchased Thermador appliances in 2007 thinking we were getting top of the line units. Instead, we have had unbelievable problems with the electronic oven, model ME301/ES. Every time there is even a slight momentary pause in power, the control panel must be reset. This is a lengthy process calling for the month, day, year, time, etc. Often, the reset process does not work and the power supply breaker switch must be flipped and reactivated in order to reset the oven panel. There is also a message which travels across the electronic screen providing a number to call. When called, you reach a travel agency! We paid very high dollar for this unit and Thermadors response is totally inadequate. There is obviously something faulty with the design of this unit and it should be the response of the manufacturer to correct it! Im very angry about this!

Thermador Professional 36 Dual Fuel (PD366BS-06). The range blows an expensive circuit board when there is a power outage. The Thermador representative said that it is not Thermadors fault and that I should talk to the power company. I have no other appliances or electronics, including televisions that have any problems after a power outage. This is a $7,000 oven that doesnt work. Someone should bring a significant lawsuit before this company.

We got an error message on our Thermador range (Product Number PRL486JDG) today. A circuit breaker was flipped by accident and this caused the error message. We called Thermador for help, and the solution they offered did not work. Service is scheduled for 12/2, so I dont have my oven for Thanksgiving! We have had nothing but trouble with this range since we bought it. Its a terrible product, unreliable and service is hard to come by. I regret this purchase.

Its the same problem that I have read about over and over and over again. My 10 year old Thermador 27 double oven has had most of the problems described in previous reviews. The incessant beeping where you have to shut down breaker for it to stop, the default codes that pop up because of the erratic sensors, and finally the control board going on the fritz and finding out that there is no way to purchase anew or even rebuilt one because it has been discontinued. So, basically I have to spend $5,000 for a new oven when I only need a $300 replacement part. However, the good news is that I wont have to put up with this nonsense any longer.

We had a large Thermador freezer that was not new. The connection to the water/ice line failed, leaked and created significant damage to our floor, subfloor, related drywall and painted surfaces below the freezer. My husband and I purchased a very expensive double wall oven, warming drawer and microwave/convection combo 2 years ago. We truly thought that for the extra money we would get a worry free appliance to last us several years. We were so wrong. It was problem after problem. Thermador customer service is rude and, frankly, couldnt care less. I even wrote to the CEO of Thermador, who also responded briefly, rudely and offered no solution, other than, Oh well, you are past your 1-year warranty. The company I purchased the ovens from has offered to buy out our warranty, as they cannot find anyone to repair these so-called high-end ovens. But I am still stuck with a costly oven that does not work and is less than 5 years old. The old saying that you get what you pay for is not true. I should have stayed with the builders cheap GE that was 15 years old and worked fine. What an expensive mistake!

We remodeled our kitchen in 2016 and spent a small fortune on what we believed to be high end appliances with Thermador. The Thermador range/steam oven combo is a piece of junk! Thermador replaced the first one within a year because we had so many problems and now the current one we are on our 6th major repair in 5 years! The current repair - replacing the convention motor for the second time - has taken us over 2 months to get completed...and we are still waiting (theyve cancelled our appointment twice by not showing up). Thermador customer service is pretty much non-existent. Do yourself a favor and buy another brand!

I purchased $8000 Thermador oven that is worthless. The broiler function has never worked, and it does not heat evenly. The top igniter unit does not work. I have spent over $1500 in repairmen claiming they fixed the problem when in reality they never fixed anything. With a gas oven, how does one know if it is truly fixed? Do not buy Thermador. The company, the appliance center where we purchased the oven, and the repairmen were all of no help. Now we are stuck with this expensive oven that we cant even use. All items come out burnt on the bottom and completely raw on top.

When we renovated our kitchen 6 years ago we got all Thermador appliances. The dishwasher has since been replaced (after 4 years and over $1,500 in repairs that lead to nothing), the double ovens work but I cannot read the digital display that shows the time or timer. This has never worked since day one and no matter what the technician tried to do, it didnt fix the problem that area just flashes. My favorite (tongue in check) appliance by far is the fridge. After about 8 months the left door suddenly wouldnt close. We discovered the plastic sleeve that rolls in when closing and out when opening kept buckling and we would have to smooth it over with our hands in order to close the door. Try having anyone under 5 feet do that every time they open the fridge door. This has been repaired 4 times. Presently, the door does not shut again, the fridge turns off every night so we wake to a warm fridge and turns itself back on once we start opening the doors in the morning. The ice maker also stopped working last week. Technician is coming today. I cannot tell you how excited I am to hear what will need to be done and the cost to start the process to fix the problems. If history repeats itself, I will spend a few thousand dollars trying to repair what is wrong, only to discover that I will need to spend more money to try other fixes... since the ones we have done are not working. If you are thinking about buying a Thermador... DO NOT DO IT. Unless you are the kind of person that enjoys throwing money out the window and dealing with a service department that loses interest in you the second you buy their product.

I purchased the side by side fridge and freezer in 2011. The ice maker immediately stopped working so it was replaced. The new ice maker would then jam up and cause me to take the drawer out and manually break up the ice. Ive spent over $500 in repair costs to try to get this fixed and nobody has an answer. Now, 8 years after I bought it, I still have to pull the drawer out and manually break up the ice every couple of days. Thats hundreds of times now since I bought it. I get more annoyed each time I have to do it as you could imagine. Ive contacted Thermador support multiple times on this matter. Each time they deny my request for action on their end. Ive spent well over $25k on Thermador appliances. ILL NEVER GIVE ANOTHER DOLLAR TO THIS COMPANY. Highly overrated and overpriced. Good riddance.

As part of a SF Bay Area remodel last year, we were excited to replace all appliances with Thermador top-line products. We spent about $30,000, anticipating a great kitchen experience with their products. Instead, we were utterly disappointed and left wishing that we had picked almost any other appliance brand! The Thermador Convection Oven Microwave MC30WS/01 is a nightmare. Every single time you have to use the microwave you have to endure a 2-second ‘boot-up’ process that flashes “Thermador” accompanied by a loud tinny tune. WHY??Then it takes 3 steps to select a simple microwave setting to finally get it going. But, if you start the unit and step away to do anything else (which is what you do all the time!) it will hammer you with a loud alert jingle that it is done - not once or twice, but again, and again, and again and again and again and AGAIN… a total of FIFTEEN TIMES! WHY?? And there’s no way to silence this “feature”. For $3,000 all we bought ourselves was a dose of daily aggravation. Similarly the Dishwasher DWHD650WPR/13. Once it completes the wash cycle, it too announces repeatedly - SIX loud beeps which repeat over and over SIX times, even in the dead of night.. and the only way to stop that madness is to go and open the unit’s door! It makes us wonder if these products are designed to impose upon the user rather than to do their job and sort of disappear in the background? For instance if a user starts the dishwasher at night, does Thermador expect her to stand by until the cycle is complete and they can kill the alerts so that a guest sleeping in an adjacent room doesn’t get disturbed? Or if a user starts the microwave, are they expected to physically stand by so that a string of unending alerts don’t wake up a sleeping baby? It is as if the people who designed the products never used them themselves. Otherwise it is hard to understand how anyone, especially a company like Bosch / Thermador, would let this stuff fly. We’ve never been so disappointed with appliances in all our lives, certainly not ones that are so expensive.

We purchased a Thermador Pro Harmony 36 range in 2010 and have been disappointed with it ever since. It was purchased as part of a kitchen remodel package and all 3 Thermador appliances purchased have been replaced over the 7 years we had them, except our oven which only performs sporadically. The griddle stopped working after a year, the circuit board has been replaced, the burner ignitors have been replaced, the broiler function no longer works and the oven door hinges no longer work to keep the door shut. We literally have to push a stool up against the door when we use the oven to keep the door closed. Thermador says they no longer make hinges since the oven is discontinued. And, they couldnt even provide me the name of a parts company to order new hinges. Apparently the hinges are no longer available, anywhere! They are worthless! DO NOT BUY THERMADOR!

We never used the probe in any cooking process. An authorized tech for Thermador came and narrowed down the problem to be the probe element of the motherboard needs to be replaced. The cost range is between $525-775 to repair both. Thermadors response, It is not under warranty! The tech made an interesting observation when he opened the oven door. Thermador said I needed a 2nd opinion and gave me 2 services to call. 1 did not even service Thermador and the other did not service my area. They have no one else to call so deemed my freezer unrepairable and offered me a $1000 discount on a new one. It is just over 5 years old and they have no one to fix it so they want to charge me for a new one?I emailed the regional manager for the NE and that has gone nowhere. 3+ months and no freezer, no support, no repair service, and they want $2100 to replace what they cant service. We purchased a suite of Thermador appliances when we built our new home in Autumn of 2011. This is the THIRD ignition we have had to repair. We were told not to use the self-cleaning option because it causes burnout to the ignition. We have not used it but again the ignitor will not light the convection oven, which is the large side. We bought the oven because we like to entertain and nothing is worse than having a house full of people for dinner and the oven just wont light. The store where we purchased the range says go back to Thermador. Thermador says it is not longer under warranty. Leaking Brand New Thermador 36-Inch Built-In Refrigerator (KI KBM36US). Model Number: T361B900SP/09. FD: 9812. Serial Number: 100481. We moved into a new condominium in September 2020 with brand new high-end Thermador appliances which we paid a high premium for. We adored the brand and its sleek design. Unfortunately, the Thermador refrigerator has been nothing but a nightmare for us. January 2021: It stopped cooling and became warm inside after barely 4 months of use. Feb 2, 2021: We created a ticket with our building management and the breaker was reset. Feb 9, 2021: The refrigerator was still not cooling so a service call was placed with Thermador. We were told that they are not on-site so we have to wait for an ETA but no one followed up. Feb 16, 2021: An urgent service call to Thermador. Feb 24, 2021: We were informed that a Thermador technician won’t be able to come until March 11 since they were so backed up. March 18, 2021: A Thermador technician finally came. He replaced the inverter board then quickly fled by saying “it’s fixed but takes a few hours to lower the temperature....” He never returned for follow up.April 2021: It is still not cooling. May 5, 2021: Second Thermador technician came and we were told that a new compressor is needed after he inspected the unit. We have to wait for the replacement part to arrive before they return. May 17, 2021: Third Thermador technician came back with a new compressor but he noticed a complete leak of refrigerant, which he determined to be the culprit (which probably makes sense since this refrigerator never worked in 2021 despite having reset and changed parts). We were told that we will likely be without a refrigerator for three months and repairing the fridge would take even longer till September. The technician did put in a request that the refrigerator be replaced as the leak is apparently in a difficult area to try to fix so no guarantee of functionality even after the repair in September. Both I and my wife have complex medical conditions requiring a modified diet but without a functional refrigerator for the last five months, we have largely relied on take-out three meals daily. As a result, our blood pressure and blood sugar have been significantly elevated during our last medical check-up. I am also on injectable insulin requiring refrigeration. I have relied on a small old refrigerator I borrowed since the Thermador malfunctioned in January and I am so worried that it will fail and ruin all my medications. We understand the delay related to the pandemic and we have been more than patient through the long daunting process. However, the service from Thermador has been completely incompetent and neglective, resulting in much hardship for our daily life, medical and mental health. It is absolutely unacceptable at this point and we request Thermador to replace the refrigerator as soon as possible!

Repair Issue#4 - 3/9/21• Warming drawer display module failed. Still not repaired. Repair Issue #5 – 4/15/21• Rear fans making growling noise. Still not addressed. All warranty work to date has been conducted by Huff Appliance, 1314 Woodland Street, Nashville, TN 37206. Phone (615) 226-2080. On 4/15/21 Huff Appliance stated, “This unit has so many issues that in my opinion this unit is unrepairable.” On 4/26/21 Thermador requested additional information of Huff Appliance on all issues to decide on if they will replace the unit. This process has grown increasingly frustrating, given Thermador has a detailed service record of the repairs which they (Thermador) authorized to date. Our warranty (2 years) has now officially expired, and it appears Thermador is attempting to wash their hands of this issue. We purchased this appliance for daily use and entertaining. Parts have taken weeks and months to arrive. During much of our ownership over two years it has been non-operational (and still is). We understand that given COVID, parts may take longer. Given this was a new unit we should have not been put in this situation. We have zero confidence this unit will not break down again due to its performance history. My wife had double hip replacement surgery 10 days ago and Thermador called this morning telling us they want to send another service agent to our home. Unfortunately we are at a point where we will need to get attorneys involved. Avoid this company at all costs, their customer service is terrible.

Model #PDMW301J-USA. We just had this unit installed on Jan 31, 2014, turned on the self-cleaning mode for the first time yesterday, and the glass between the interior and exterior glass on the oven door shattered into tiny pieces approximately 1/2 hour into the cycle. The dealer has been very helpful in expediting a resolution, and the local repair guy recommended by the dealer has already ordered replacement glass and feels they wont have a problem with processing the warranty request. We dont know yet how long it will take to get the replacement part, but very disappointed about the defect and worried that the next piece of glass will also be defective, rendering our new oven useless in the meantime. We were very pleased, however, about how well our first turkey turned out and the cooktop we purchased at the same times is performing nicely so far. The higher end dishwasher that came with the package is perfection (we paid extra for the upgrade on the dishwasher). I recommend that buyers of any Thermador oven unit have the installation technician run it through the self-clean mode before signing off on the install. Better yet, have the dealer do it before they deliver!

Works well, no problems - it works fine. Price is okay. The color is nice. It was a long time before I had to clean it and I like it. The price was higher but it looks nice and classy and works well enough that I am satisfied with the product that I will not call to complain about the product. It was more expensive than most but I liked the style and thought it would work well because it is good enough to spend the few extra dollars. The size fits well in my kitchen. It could be lighter but obviously you dont pick up w/ stove that much so it doesnt play into effect at all and its a nice stove.

$14k oven external temp gauge broke a few weeks after short warranty. After multiple phone calls the company agreed to fix it. They replaced the whole computer panel. However, this was NOT the problem and the temp gauge was still broken. They argued this was not the original issue I called in about (it was). I even have the pictures I took when I initially called them that highlighted the broken temp gauge. Now they want to charge me $500 for the repair. I absolutely hate them. Will go back to less expensive appliances in the future or companies that back their products and services. Thermador was a HUGE waste of money.

We just replaced a 15 year old Thermador Professional gas range and oven with a new 36” Thermador Professional 366 range and oven. About $10,000 invested with installation. Most disappointed on delivery to find new oven door quite dirty in between the glass windows. Also oven temperature about 60-70 degrees hotter than the dial setting. The worst, however, is that a new oven rack that was soaked in water for about 6-7 hours to remove some baked on cheese has started to rust. Obviously there is no quality control at factory and cheap materials are used for components. We have had two Wolf range/ovens and have been most happy with them. I would strongly recommend anyone looking for a top of line range/oven forget about the Thermador line.

Do not buy Thermador! I own a 48 oven/range that was installed in 2007. I have rarely used it because it is a vacation home. Parts are no longer available (really?) and it looks like many people are looking for the same part...front wiring harness. This is a top of the line range that almost burnt the house down! I have spent $300 on service reps getting it diagnosed and hours looking for the part online because the service reps can only sell me Thermador parts which are no longer made! REALLY?? And, Thermador customer service...can only say sorry, we no longer make the part. Do they really think that I will buy another $12,500 appliance from them? Anybody know of any class action suits? I own 2 of these units and I am ready to take them down!

My Thermador Professional double oven bought for $12,000 in 2004. I have had 5 different repair man coming to my home to repair it, each visit about $70. Couple didnt call me back even. Last 2 repair professionals told me that there is no more parts for my high end oven. I called today Thermador myself. Customer service told me that after 7 years they dont make parts anymore??!! Technicians removed few parts here and there, to buy new, never got old ones back, dont know their parts numbers. Next week Feb. 28th 2017, Thermador own technician is coming to assess, $120 plus $30. Made in 2004, so expensive but not repairable. WHAT AM I SUPPOSE TO DO NOW??? P.S. I have 2 burners working only, other 4 burners, grill and both ovens are not.

That’s how this oven works. If the oven is used for long time the temperature drops. I was told to do the biscuits test. When I send them the picture they told me that I used the wrong rack... The device is a decent size and fit the area we had for it. It didnt take much to get it in the right position for it to fit snugly. Very good performance of the device. We have had no issues with how it runs and we use it constantly. Only once have we had to unplug but that was during a power outage. Very nice looking machine with some nice trim details. This looks like a quality appliance and would help the looks of most any kitchen. I have enjoyed this refrigerator immensely and really like the brand and functions. Thermador Oven ME ll0: I just ruined an expensive coffee cake that I was making for company that is arriving tomorrow. After increasing the temperature by 25 degree and baking an extra 15 minutes, it appeared to be done by testing with a toothpick. After wanting 10 minutes to turn the cake out the middle was raw. We purchased the oven October 2014 and experienced problems with the temperature. The service man came out in November and replaced the motherboard but this did not fix the problem. It is sad to say that if I could afford a new oven, this oven would be the trash tomorrow. We owned a Thermador Oven from 2005 until we moved in 2013 and it was a wonderful oven. Not so with this one and will advising everyone I know not to buy any Thermador appliances.

We purchased the 36 professional range, with 4 burners and griddle in the middle, about 2 years ago and are fairly content. But the reason for the 2 stars is that for nearly $10,000 we should be completely satisfied. The light inside went out within about a year, weve had a few issues with the bake function (which Thermador took care of), but have also been dealing with a loud noise in the back for about a year.Upon looking at the back, up top, right inside the vent area, its apparent that the sheet metal they used wasnt installed flat. So basically theres a bulge that rattles, since it doesnt sit flush, and they used far too few rivets to secure it. For this amount of money it just doesnt seem right. Dont even get me started on the dishwasher, if you dont pre-clean dishes very very thoroughly, it will start giving you problems. My last GE dishwasher, which was just a few hundred dollars, ran like a champ without a problem - ever.

After reading all the reviews of others who were also misinformed as I in thinking that buying an overpriced Thermador appliance would be providing me with at least a reliable product and some form of customer service. This confirms that Thermador is not all that it thinks it is. I also attempted via email to contact the CEO of Thermador. I have wrote several emails/letter to Customer Service and its like I dont exist. My Freezer/Fridge unit was purchased 2017 and within a month I has calling for a repair and it has been ongoing issue. I have to treat my $10,000 freezer as if owned a 1920 ice box freezer and manually remove everything and chip out the built up ice. This is the sacrifice I need to do so that I can maybe enjoy ice when it decides to produce some. Thermador has decide to abandoned their customers so we can make sure that we can share our experience with as many Thermador potential customers and save them from also being mislead. Word of mouth (internet/social media) is very effective. I am very interested in starting a Class Act Suit against Thermador. **

Ive now taken multiple days off of work to wait for the repair man who never shows up. The indifference is astounding and Im still without a working freezer.

My brand new $4000 Thermador double oven does not operate; I must flip my homes electrical breaker to turn it off; and I have waited 20 days to have it repaired or replaced. It is noon on December 23, 2016 and both the Thermador customer service line and the Bosch Home offices are closed. The product does not function; the repair person they sent was not helpful and wants me to wait until January 3, 2017 for a repair, and I cannot talk to anyone but an after hours messaging center about my non-functioning oven a day before Christmas. On December 3, 2016, my family tried to use its new Thermador double oven (Model ME302JS/04) and received an error code (118). We called to the customer service line for help and they failed to send a technician. We called again, but could not get a technician until December 23. When the technician came, he did not have the necessary parts - despite contacting the company weeks earlier and giving them the exact error code for the problem. The next available repair slot is January 3, 2017. The product does not fulfill the warranty of merchantability, fitness, or any general warranties; the customer service is ineffective; and the Bosch-employed repair organization is slow, unprepared, disorganized, and unhelpful. This company has no sense of urgency about a major household investment.

We moved into our home in 2007. Previous owner had just redone kitchen, went high end on appliances not knowing they were going to have job transfer. Recently Thermador downdraft fan stopped working properly. Figured it was out of warranty by now, I took a look to see if it was a switch I could replace - discovered it had a circuit board. I was shocked to see that the circuit board had started to melt along with the wires leading to it. I called Thermador, said I knew it must be out of warranty by now - but it seemed like a defect in manufacturing or design flaw and a fire hazard. After many calls, Thermador reluctantly agreed to send someone at their expense to diagnose. The technician informed me it happens all the time.I maintain for the amount of money spent on this type of product one should expect it to last longer than five or six years, and of all the appliances I have ever owned, it is the only one that has ever had a part that melted and posed a fire hazard. Thermador refuses to make good - it is out of warranty and it is normal wear and tear. I recorded my last conversation with Thermador. The audio, as well as pictures of the melted circuit board and wires and a video of it sparking and smoking can be found on you tube under the user **. I now have a stove in the middle of the kitchen with no ventilation. I want others - who own one of these or are contemplating the purchase of one - to understand the risk and I would like the Thermador to remedy the situation. I have not yet explored whether I am limited to a Thermador brand based on the dimensions of the hole in the granite countertop.

We remodeled our kitchen before moving into our, new to us, but older home, back in 2014. When it was time to choose appliances, I was extremely excited, being a baker especially wanting to enjoy our new oven. The existing gas stove in the home was a Thermador so I thought I would get the same brand for the oven. The salesman wasnt very helpful so I just chose the double convection oven. Surprisingly, the convection aspect was not useful in controlling odors emanating from the oven, as I was told it would.Recently, the control panel went out, affecting many functions of the oven, the main one being only ONE oven would turn on at a time. The repair person explained the two year warranty and although this was a very expensive repair; upwards of $600, Thermador would not reimburse me for that reason. The oven also heats food is quite unevenly. Additionally we paid for the upgraded glider shelves, which do not glide appropriately. Then I discovered part of the shelf is bent, which explains the poor function, yet also indicates poor quality control. Overall, I am not impressed with this brand and would not recommend them.

I Purchased Thermador Appliances for my Kitchen (Microwave, Refrigerator, Stove, Oven, Dishwasher) for a second home that I live in two times a year for a short period of time. Microwave died, repairing it would cost over $600. No option to replace it because it is discontinued and no other microwave will fit the built in space in my kitchen. Customer services pretty much gave me the only option of remodeling my kitchen as a solution, or to spend another $1000 in the same old microwave purchased from a distributor that still has it on stock.I asked if they were really advising me to purchase a microwave they obviously discontinued because it was defective....they said yes! Grace, the manager I spoke with was absolutely the worst employer at Thermador. She hang up on me. Barret a customer service representative was nice initially but after speaking to his supervisor (Grace) came back to me lying and telling me I had no alternatives but to remodel. Barret I feel for you for having a boss like that.Aside from the microwave, the dishwasher door also broke.... The parts I ordered to fix it dont match my old parts. I contacted Thermador for this as well and again....no solution. They dont know what is going on and nothing they can do. I do advice to stay away from this company. Your appliances will break with very very little use and they will wash their hands. Sadly Thermador is the same as Bosch. I should have spend a bit more money and stick to WOLF. I purchased a 48 steam/range in 2013. I have experienced trouble with the gasket around the steam oven. While it was under warranty it was repaired several times. Each time within a short amount of time the rubber gasket came loose. Now they will not stand behind it. Earlier this year, they agreed to pay for the part but not the labor to install it. They know this is an issue. I went to Pacific Sales and looked at the new like range and the new unused one already had a loose gasket. This is very disappointing as I have close to $16,000 into the cost of this range. I am very surprised that there is no class action lawsuit regarding this problem. As I see it the oven is stainless steel and the gasket is rubber of some sort and there is no way of adhering the two together. I would not recommend this steam/oven combo!

Since installing my new kitchen two months ago with the Thermador package of appliances I have had TWO major problems.1. After having the appliance taken out of the box and install (plugging in) my refrigerator, neither the fridge or freezer got colder than 70 degrees. I called Thermador and they walked me through steps to resolve the problem but to no avail. Thermador proceeded to refer me to two contracted repair services on Oahu. In the meantime I called the Authorized distributor (Servco Appliance Company) and informed them of the problem. They were able to expedite the service (and that was a week later). The service people came out and pushed the same buttons as well as read the manual, coming to the conclusion that my refrigerator was not working and would have to order parts...not having any idea what part! The next morning I got a call from the service company and was told the same thing and was told they would have the parts expedited and it would take 5 days to come in. In the meantime I called Servco and demanded that they get me a new (in the box) refrigerator. FIVE weeks later while waiting for my New refrigerator I received a call from ACE Appliance repair service saying they had just received the parts. I told them to forget it and contacted Servco for and update on my new refrigerator. Eight weeks after the service call, I finally got my new appliance. Now I have noticed a condensation problem on the side of the freezer door.2. Two and one half weeks ago my newly purchased Thermador built in oven stopped working. Error code E118. I must have used the oven 6 times since installing it, the same time as the original frig. I called Thermador again and was walked through the reset procedure (turn the 220 breaker switch off for 5 minutes then turn back on). This had no effect on the problem... it took 10 days to get a service man out here. Again we went through the whole thing again. He called Thermador and he was told E1108 meant a problem with the fan and it had to be replaced. I new that even before he walked in the door. Just google it!!!!!! I am told that NO PARTS are stocked in Hawaii and at a minimum it will take another 2 weeks before he comes out again....That is over a month without an oven and the clock is ticking on the warranty. I would not recommend this brand as they have no credibility.

Well I guess the management felt sorry for me since it took over a month to get a Technician out here. Then I finally order the 4th part which is the power supply. My oven is still not working! For the fourth time of replacing this parts. This oven is totally curse. This is beyond me. After much research we purchased a higher end stove which at the time we paid over $6000 for. We remodeled an old farmhouse and built the kitchen around the stove. Soon after we had it we had to have a few service calls but that was no big deal. Now only four of the burners work and we called out a Thermador service tech who informed us they no longer make parts to fix it. I called the Thermador factory and talked with customer service who also stated they no longer made parts and told us we were out of luck and the stove is 19 years old. That is unacceptable to me. The attitude I received was shameful. Just because an appliance is nineteen years old should not make it obsolete. I assure you I will never purchase any Thermador product in my lifetime and I will ensure any family member will NOT purchase one either. It is hard for me to believe that that just quit making parts and it is not only for my model either, it is for numerous models they misrepresented when they sold them.

Thermador 48 double oven ,4 burner, grill and griddle - We remodeled our kitchen in 2005, and I purchased what I thought was the best cooking appliance available. I was sadly mistaken. The small left side oven no longer works properly and can only be used as a warming drawer. The temperature will no longer go above 120 degrees. The part needed to repair this I am told is $900 plus labor. I doubt if I have used this oven more than 25 times since it was installed. I’m very dissatisfied since the oven we replaced (not Thermador) had worked perfectly since 1986.

If the other 300+ poor reviews dont deter you, perhaps this one will. I purchased a 6 burner range top from Pacific Sales along with a double convection oven. Out of the box, one of the burner keeps clicking and sparking. I phoned Thermador customer service immediately, they gave me an authorized tech. I called, he came and determined it must be a spark module problem. He returned to basically disassemble the entire stove, replacing not only the spark module, but wires as well. Took over 2 hours of trying to figure out the problem That didnt work. I felt I had the right as a customer to not have my new kitchen torn apart to figure a problem that lies with the manufacturer. I called and wrote to supervisors to evoke lemon law. No, they tell me that I needed to allow them 3 to 4 times to willy-nilly take apart the range and not figure out the issue. I rejected this. After 2 weeks of letter writing, emailing, and phone conversations, I agreed to let them do another repair. The tech they sent has been here for over an hour as I write this review, still trying to figure out the issue as if my stove is some sort of test for the tech. Really Thermador? Im just waiting for them to make good on their promise of replacing the range. Oh the tech they sent just knocked over a part and scratched up my brand new cabinet.

Bought Thermador gas oven, hood and dishwasher last December. I will never ever again buy Thermador and sister brands (Bosch, Wolf) nor will I recommend to anyone. Totally junk quality appliances. In the first week, they had to come back to service the dishwasher as all the settings were on max and melted a bunch of plastic containers. Then the oven - the paint started chipping off the burner tray. Tech came and replaced that. Then the exhaust fan in the hood started making very loud noises and the tech came again, said the fan has to be replaced (luckily under warranty) but no sign of the fan in six weeks. Called them again and again and it is backordered! For a supposedly top of the line appliances, their customer service is atrocious - very indifferent attitude. They are not allowed to make follow-up calls so you have to keep checking. By the way, their parts are outsourced as is their technical service. Pure garbage. Thermador is made by Bosch so I imagine that Thermador, Bosch and Wolf are all equally crappy. Bought the entire set up late December and still everything not functional! Unreal! Too bad in NJ there is no lemon law for pricey appliances. Sorry there is nothing less than one star in the review category.

I have a double wall oven (SCD302ZS) that is a piece of junk. I bought this thing brand new and paid a substantial amount for it. We have nothing but problems; the control panel has been replaced three times (at $300 per panel) and it still doesnt work. You cant read the numbers on it (i.e., the clock, the temperature). If you set the panel flush on the wall like its supposed to be, it doesnt work so you have to leave the panel hanging off the wall about 1/4 in order for the buttons to work. The elements have been replaced once, but the bottom oven still wont work. Today, the convection fan and light will come on in both the upper and bottom ovens but it wont heat up. Piece of junk! Dont bother calling Thermador, they will do nothing. We fought with them over the control panels, wrote letters to the headquarters and got nowhere. They dont care. Do not buy Thermador. I have one more brand new control panel for this piece of junk. If anyone is interested in buying it, Ill sell it for less than it cost me.

I purchased a $6250 (current retail price) 30 inch freezer column in 2009 when we built our home. 18 months after installation, the ice maker ceased working. No warranty. The freezer failed to cool 6 weeks ago. The part necessary to rectify the problem was also not covered -- just like the ice maker. We opted not to replace the ice maker, which would have resulted in a $700 charge and we paid approximately $350 to repair the current issue. It is unacceptable, and really borders on criminal, to incur these types of failures on a unit this new at a high end price point. I have an old GE fridge/freezer in the garage that was only several hundred dollars that is still working after 25 years. Shame on Thermador. I have several other Thermador appliances that are suboptimal. The Bosch washer died last Christmas after six service calls. Dont purchase Thermador or Bosch. You will be sorry!

These stoves are expensive. They’re supposed to work. There is supposed to be rapid customer service. The griddle is calibrated on both sides. It’s not. The stove goes up to high temps or can’t keep the temp. The range and wall ovens reset. It is supposed to be a motherboard issue. I’m very frustrated as we can’t cook. There was a problem since day 1, they sent me technician after technician after technician and still I cant cook for my family. The range never worked correctly and each technician has changed parts and still nothing. My extended warranty only has 1 company that can service a Thermador appliance and they cant fix it. What is the use to buy something thats supposed to be top of the line if it doesnt work and there isnt a lot of repair companies that are Certified to fix it - because its a top of the line appliance.Dont buy Thermador!!! I have owned a Thermador oven for 5 years that came new with our apartment. Since the beginning, the door looks like it doesnt close tightly. It turns out that when the oven heats up. The door opens up even more causing the light to come on, and the heat cooks the computer. We replaced one computer for $800 and then two years later, we made the connection that it was cooking its computer as it started to fail, so we replaced the hinges ($200). That was six months ago and the door is still slightly open and cooking its own computer. The repairman came three times and tweaked something but the door is still open.

We had our kitchen completely renovated in 2007. We installed a complete spectrum of Thermador products: Pro Grand Dual fuel range, dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, warming drawer and wall oven. This week, we will have our eighth repair visit. The range (4x) has been worst but the MW and the refrigerator have also failed. The failures have been the same as the other ones listed below, including the side oven heating element explosion. Do not buy Thermador. Interestingly, my detailed email complaint bounced back to me today as undeliverable, yet I got the regional managers name and address on the Thermador website an hour earlier.

Apparently they dont expect their products to last more than 7 years or they just force their customers to have to buy another expensive item to replace it. Once you turn the oven to a certain temperature you cannot adjust it, no turning down that pie thats been in for 15 minutes. You have to turn the oven off and let it cool down. And you cant leave the oven door open or else youll burn out the board that sits at the top of the opening. BIG PROBLEM for me. Cant believe that my $7000 stove doesnt have this feature. 12 years ago we redid our kitchen and installed premium appliances including the Thermador double wall oven C302. In that time the oven has performed well but required 3 expensive service calls to replace the relay board to a tune of $500 per repair. Recently, the part needed replacing and I used Thermadors official repair company, booked on the Thermador website. The initial estimate was $646.00, dismayed but determined to repair it (after careful consideration of replacement cost), I forged on. At the end of the service call another $21.00 part was needed, another service call. $181.00 in labor costs to install a $21.00 part. Multiple convos with company, no willingness at all to reduce cost.

It is impossible to cook with. Thermador was no help. In fact they stated that I would have to replace the whole unit as they are not separate units. So, instead of spending $1600 to replace the oven, I would have to spend $6500 to replace the whole unit even though the micro & warming drawer do work. Well, I will not replace it with Thermador and will never buy any of their products ever again. Awful customer service.

Thermador CM302 - We loved this oven for 10 years, then it started beeping for no reason and shutting down. We replaced the control panel twice because it was overheating and burning out due to a design flaw in this oven. We figured out that the cooling fan controls were not programmed to stay on after the oven turned off so the hot oven was burning out the adjacent panel. We tried limping along for a few years by turning the oven on to 100 degrees with the cook timer set to turn off in two hours in order to help the oven cool. This worked for awhile until we needed to heat both ovens above 400 for Thanksgiving. The oven died completely with fifteen guests waiting for turkey. I give thanks that my BBQ wasnt made by Thermador, which has been extremely useless, not even willing to pay for a service call in the event that the repair person was unable to fix the oven. This is an irresponsible company. Once you are out of warranty they do not stand behind their appliances, even if the problem is a design flaw. We will be buying our next oven elsewhere.

Purchased new for $7500 and has been nothing but a nightmare since. Bake element blew up 3 days after delivery. Control board shorted out 2 weeks after that. All of those 2 problems were manufactures warranted. Bake element has consistently burned out at least once every year since. All costing $128.00 each time. Less than 5 months ago the 2 fuses blew along with the bake element and the control board. That cost over $1200. Turned on the oven yesterday and the bake element blew up again with a loud electrical shorting noise. This time, the back side of the range caught on fire. I have burn damage to my hardwood flooring and wet plaster wall behind the stove. If I had been some regular consumer that did not have the knowledge on how to kill the power to the stove, it would have burned my house down. The stove is now a total loss. All of the wiring has burned up, along with considerable smoke damage to my home. I am thoroughly disgusted with Thermador. I plan to take civil action against Bosch, and file a class action lawsuit. This is a problem that has the potential to kill someone. Bosch and Thermador are fully aware of the problem and have chose to ignore it for many years. They will no longer ignore me. Please feel to free to respond to my posting if you desire to join the class action lawsuit.

We purchased 2 Thermador gas ranges in 2005, one smaller wall unit and a larger free standing 6 burner model PG3668s/05. I hardly have used the larger oven, only for holiday turkeys and meals in the past 12 years, as it has continually needed servicing! I am very disappointed in this model as it was expensive, and larger yet not at all efficient as I had hoped with larger meals. I wish we had purchased 2 of the SEC301 type wall units instead of this deluxe gas range. The problems we continually have had with this range are mostly concerning the heat of the oven. It does not heat to the desired temperature! We have had North Town service this issue so many times, with the fan and the controls, and the starter, and it never seems to solve the heating up problem. Then the large door fell off! It is a heavy door and the hinges on one side broke. I have stopped trusting it to fully cook the food after half cooked casseroles and turkeys. I depend on the smaller unit for all my baking and cooking because of these issues. I trusted the Thermador brand and at first, was excited to have purchased this large, convection/gas range... however, the oven has been out of commission much more than it has been functioning! Repairs have cost us more than we have expected since the oven consistently doesnt heat up beyond 250 degrees, and the warranty for repairs is only 6 months! I will not purchase another large Thermador professional gas range again because of all the problems I have encountered with this model.

My very expensive Thermador wall oven has been giving me an F-34 error code. When going online, I see we are one of many consumers experiencing the poor quality of this companys product. As frustrating as it is to need to call out a repairman, even more frustrating is that with so many of us having the issue, the parts are no longer available (or were ever available?) to fix the error. I expect a couple hundred dollar oven to be considered disposable but when you spend several thousand on what is suppose to be commercial quality, you dont expect to have to replace them in a few short years.

It was a 95 model and I was thrilled to be getting an updated, and convection oven. Now, Im nervous about keeping it and having something disastrous happen from all of these other posts. I was only trying to find a replacement knob and was frustrated at not being able to find one since they are no longer manufactured. Our oven was very difficult to install. My husband and father were able to cut the holes into the attic and vent it properly, but it has never cooked evenly, even using convection, and it always takes 30-45 minutes longer to cook anything like casseroles or meatloaf, anything denser.

I have had a very disappointing experience with Thermador and apart from keeping an induction cooktop since my granite was already cut! I returned all of my other Thermador items. The dishwasher (included in a buy +2 appliance package) independently measured as high as 70dBA vs. the advertised 48dBA. The 30 micro/oven wall combination came (twice) with a misaligned oven door. It was confirmed to me, after the fact, by a Thermador customer service person that Thermador is actually shipping ovens with a known defect that supposedly has an easy fix of replacement hinges. The issue is that NO ONE seems to know this! Not the Tech nor the appliance store. So +7 hours and 3 technician visits later (with minimum of 2 weeks between visits as I as told there are ONLY 2 techs that service the entire Austin, TX metro area). I am done with Thermador. I live in fear that should I have ever have a maintenance issue with the induction cooktop I have a 50% chance of getting the technician that was rude, condescending to me, my contractor, my designer and carpenter. So let me get this straight -- THERMADOR, you want me to pay top $$$ for your appliances. Chances are they may arrive defective. No one will know how to fix them (who wants a new $5000 appliance to need to be fixed anyway?) and on yeah, have to wait +2 weeks for a technician to come into my home and insult me. It doesnt get any worse than that. Thermador if you are reading this - shame on you!!! Perhaps you need to take a page from the KitchenAid playbook on how to treat your customers that are spending a ton of money on your over-hyped products.

Seven years ago we remodeled our kitchen. Sadly the only location we had for a refrigerator was a wide, but shallow space. Our appliance contractor recommended this Thermador refrigerator Model # KBUDT4875E01, which cost over $14K! Recently the evaporator coil began leaking. We called the Thermador service department who referred us to a local repair company (Alltex Parker) in the DFW area. The service man told us our refrigerator was old, although is has a 12 year warranty. The good news is the $300.00 for parts was covered by our warranty. The bad news is the service call costs us $1500.00 for 4 hours to replace the coil! The service man informed us he sees many issues with Thermador appliances and it is not uncommon for these refrigerator coils to leak. He said he would be surprised if our refrigerator lasted the length of our warranty. This experience has taught me to do more appliance research upfront and to rely on customer reviews!

Bought a full kitchen suite of commercial grade Thermador products in 2013. Got the one-two-free promotion so a great price point and other leading brands had equal pro/con review. Have had continual problems since day one; oven has been repaired 4 times for motherboard, temp dial, heating consistency, burners not igniting; freezer ice maker repaired 3 times for clogging ice buildup which shuts down the ice maker and needs to be re-set. Still clogs and quits but I have stopped calling for expensive repair visits and now turn off the freezer for 10 minutes to re-boot the ice maker every time it clogs (about every other month); refr has salad makings consistently condense and rot with water after two days.Read all the manuals, following instructions. Today needed to change out a bulb in the oven and find the lamp housing installed backwards in the very back of the oven, making it almost impossible to get a screwdriver in to pry the glass lens off (well, actually havent got this accomplished yet so maybe it is impossible). The auto-shut off for warming drawer (as part of range) has never worked. Repairman said he could replace drawer for $1,000 - think I will place a $.01 post it note on it for turn-off reminder. Products all look great - but look for other brands! I would not buy Thermador again and as an architect I have my clients look at any other brand first.

Its been 4 years now and we have had to replace the control boards 3 times already... and it died again a week ago. There is NO support for Thermador appliances in the Dallas area. Parts cost as much as the original unit almost if you can find them. I have replaced the faulty boards 3 times so far, but Im too tired to deal with this anymore. The analog & digital boards run about $600... 3 sets are enough for a new oven. Its a giant rip-off. Where is the quality design & service... missing totally. Were going to purchase a new oven now and it wont be Thermador. In 50 years, I have never experienced such poor design and support. I cant believe Thermador is still in business!

Thermador double oven ME302JS, Refrigerator T36BB810SS - We purchased a sui
Thermador double oven ME302JS, Refrigerator T36BB810SS - We purchased a suite of appliances including a fridge, range top, double oven, and dishwasher. The double ovens function just fine. However they buzz very, very loudly. Service has been to our house four times to either diagnose or attempt a repair to no avail. The service techs have been pleasant to work with and I appreciate their efforts as they have expressed genuine frustration. They have also expressed frustration with Bosch as they havent been helpful to find a solution. The fridge suffers from a slow ice maker. After 24 hrs, the bin is only about two inches deep of ice. The motor was replaced, no success. Bosch told the techs to lower the temp from zero to -4. That didnt work either. The techs have asked for further help from a Bosch area rep on both issues but they havent been forthcoming. Ive also sought help from the store who sold us the appliances. They forwarded my video of the noise to Bosch personnel, but they havent responded either. My patience has run out. If Bosch was responsive and helpful with a solution, this review would be more positive.
