Range Error Codes

SYMPTOM: Clock is off and controls do not function. 
POSSIBLE CAUSE: Power is off.  
SOLUTION: Check breaker.

SOLUTION: Call electrician to properly connect wiring. 

SYMPTOM: Oven is not heating. 
POSSIBLE CAUSE: Oven is improperly set. 
SOLUTION: Check oven temperature and mode setting. 

SYMPTOM: Oven is not heating. 
POSSIBLE CAUSE: Opposite oven set on a double oven.  
SOLUTION: Verify that the desired oven has been set for cooking on a double by pressing RIGHT or LEFT as appropriate. 

SYMPTOM: Oven is not heating. 
POSSIBLE CAUSE: DELAY COOK has been set.  
SOLUTION: Check oven display for DELAY icon. 

SYMPTOM: Oven is not heating. 
POSSIBLE CAUSE: TIMED COOK mode has expired.  
SOLUTION: Check oven display for HOLD icon. Oven setting changes to 150° F. 

SYMPTOM: Door will not open. 
POSSIBLE CAUSE: Oven is in SELF CLEAN or SELF CLEAN has completed and oven is cooling. 
SOLUTION: Allow SELF CLEAN cycle to complete and oven to cool. Check oven display for LOCK icon. 

SYMPTOM: SELF CLEAN will not start. 
POSSIBLE CAUSE: Oven is still hot. 
SOLUTION: Allow oven to cool. SELF CLEAN cannot start until oven is below 250° F. 

SYMPTOM: SELF CLEAN will not start. 
POSSIBLE CAUSE: Door is not completely closed.  
SOLUTION: Close oven door tightly to allow door latch to lock door. 

SYMPTOM: SELF CLEAN will not start. 
POSSIBLE CAUSE: Double Oven: Opposite oven is in use. 
SOLUTION: Turn off opposite oven. SELF CLEAN will not function if any other function is on. 

SYMPTOM: Lights will not turn on. 
POSSIBLE CAUSE: Oven is in Sabbath mode.  
SOLUTION: Check oven display for Sab. Press CANCEL to remove Sabbath mode and allow use of lights. 

SYMPTOM: Lights will not turn on. 
POSSIBLE CAUSE: Oven is in SELF CLEAN. 
SOLUTION: Check oven icons for SELF CLEAN display. Lights do not operate in SELF CLEAN. 

SYMPTOM: Lights will not turn on. 
POSSIBLE CAUSE: Control Panel is locked.  
SOLUTION: Check oven display for OFF readout. Press and hold CANCEL button to unlock.

SOLUTION: Check oven display for OFF readout. Press and hold CANCEL button to unlock. 

SYMPTOM: Oven is not heating evenly. 
POSSIBLE CAUSE: Pots or pans may be blocking heat.  
SOLUTION: Center all pots and pans when placing in oven to allow heat to evenly circulate in oven. 

SYMPTOM: Oven is not heating evenly. 
POSSIBLE CAUSE: Oven may require cleaning.  
SOLUTION: When oven is cool, wipe down excess spillage and splatter. SELF CLEAN oven to remove residue. 

SYMPTOM: Oven is not heating evenly. 
POSSIBLE CAUSE: Food is too close to heat.  
SOLUTION: Arrange oven racks to allow even heating. Proximity to top or bottom of oven will increase heat in those areas. 

SYMPTOM: Lots of smoke.  
POSSIBLE CAUSE: Oven has excess spill or splatter.  
SOLUTION: Clean oven. If oven is in SELF CLEAN, smoke is normal. 

SYMPTOM: Racks are hard to move. 
POSSIBLE CAUSE: Rollers or tracks may be dirty.  
SOLUTION: Clean with mild detergent when racks and/or are cool. 

SYMPTOM: Racks are hard to move. 
POSSIBLE CAUSE: Racks may have been left in oven during.  
SOLUTION: SELF CLEAN Rack may require replacement. 

SYMPTOM: Lights do not illuminate well.  
POSSIBLE CAUSE: Light lenses may be dirty. 
SOLUTION: Clean lenses when oven is cool with water and mild detergent. 

SYMPTOM: Lights do not illuminate well.
