Dishwasher Troubleshooting

The dishwasher won’t start 
The door may not be closed properly. Make sure that the door is closed and latched 
The power is off or not connected. Make sure that the power is connected and turned on. 
The delay start option is selected. 
The child lock is activated. 

The dishwasher beeps at the end of the cycle 
This is normal and indicates that the wash cycle is complete. 

The rinse aid light is on  
The rinse aid level is low.  
Add rinse aid. 

The dishwasher runs too long 
The dishwasher is connected to a cold water supply. Make sure that the dishwasher is connected to a hot water supply. If not, change the water supply to a hot water source. 
The cycle time varies, depending on the soil level of the dishes. When heavy soil is detected, the wash times will be longer. 
Depends on the option selected. Some options will add time to the cycle. 

The dishes are not clean enough 
The water pressure is too low. Make sure that the water pressure is above 20 psi (138 kPa). Use your dishwasher when water demand is low.  
The inlet water temperature is too low. Make sure that the dishwasher is connected to a hot water supply. If not, change the water supply to a hot water source. Use your dishwasher when hot water demand is low. 
Dishes are too close together. 
Improper use of detergent. Add detergent depending on the water hardness and washing cycle you choose. Use fresh detergent.  
The selected cycle is not suitable for the soil level on the dishes. Choose a different cycle with a longer washing time. 
The spray arms are blocked. Make sure that the spray arms are not blocked and are free to rotate. 

The dishes are not drying enough 
The rinse aid dispenser is empty or the setting is too low. Fill the rinse aid dispenser. Increase the rinse aid setting. 
Dishes are loaded improperly. 
The cycle you chose did not include drying. Choose a cycle with drying. 

Spots and filming on dishes 
Water hardness is too high. For extremely hard water, install a water softener. 
Dishes are loaded improperly. 
Old or damp rinse aid power is used. Use fresh, liquid rinse aid. 
The rinse aid dispenser is empty or the setting is too low. Fill the rinse aid dispenser. Increase the rinse aid setting. 

The dishwasher leaks 
Excessive suds caused by using improper detergent. Make sure to use only automatic dishwasher detergent. 
The dishwasher is not level. Level the dishwasher. 

Noises 
Detergent cup opening/drain pump. This is normal. 
A hard object has entered the wash module. When the object is ground up the noise will stop. 

The dishwasher won’t fill 
The water valve is turned off. Turn on the water valve. 
The door may not be closed completely. Make sure that the door is closed and latched.

Microwave Troubleshooting

Oven will not start 
a. Electrical cord for oven is not plugged in. 
b. Door is open. 
c. Wrong operation is set.

Arcing or sparking

Range Troubleshooting

Range does not function  
Range is not connected to electrical power. Ask a professional to check power circuit breaker, wiring and fuses.  

Self-dean cycle does not activate  
Door is not shut tight enough for automatic door latch to lock 

Broil does not work  
Temperature control knob is rotated too far past broil position (500° F); PRE HEATING indicator will light intermittently 

Door does not open  
Oven is still in self-clean mode. Door latch will release when safe temperature is reached. 

Oven light does not work 
Light bulb is burned out. Range is not connected to power/ clean is cycle on 

Igniters does not work 
Circuit is tripped. Fuse is blown. Range is not connected to power. 

Igniters sparking taut no flame ignition  
Gas supply valve is in "OFF" position. Gas supply is interrupted. 

igniters spark continuously after flame ignition 
ignition micro-switches remain Incorrectly engaged; call a qualified technician for repair. 

Burner ignites but flame is targe, distorted, or yellow 
Burner ports are clogged. Unit is not set to the appropriate gas type. Call a qualified technician for gas conversion procedure. 

Oven door is locked and will not release, even after cooling 
Turn the oven off at the circuit breaker and wait 5 minutes. Turn breaker back on. The oven should reset itself and will be operable. 

Oven is not heating 
Check the circuit breaker or fuse box to your house. Make sure there is proper electrical power to the oven. Make sure the oven temperature has been selected. 

Oven light is not working properly  
Replace or reinsert the light bulb if loose or defective. 

Oven light stays on  
Check for obstruction in oven door, Check to see if hinge is bent. 

Cannot remove lens cover on light  
There may be soil build-up around the lens cover. Wipe lens cover area with a clean dry towel prior to attempting to remove the lens cover.  

PRE-HEATING indicator lights up intermittently and sound alarm on  
This is a FAULT alarm indicating the failure of the cooling fan/s. Try resetting by turning both selectors to the OFF position. If the error is not repaired, call a qualified technician for diagnosis and repair. If not repaired, this error indicator will appear again within 10 seconds once the oven is activated in any functions for which cooling fans are required to operate, preventing the use of the oven. Set both selectors to OFF position and call a qualified technician for repair.  

HEATING indicator light turned on intermittently and with sound alarm on  
This is a FAULT indicating failure of the oven sensor temperature probe; in this case cooling fans will start automatically. To reset, switch both selector to the OFF position. To stop buzzer and light indicator, disconnect the appliance from the main electrical supply and call a qualified technician for repair.  

CLEAN indicator light on intermittently and sound alarm on  
Electrical power failure happening during cleaning cycle operation, cleaning cycle interrupted; cooling fans remains both activated; the error will be reset by putting two selectors in OFF positron; repeat cleaning cycle if needed after 3-4 hours. 

Refrigerator Troubleshooting

Failed operation 
Check whether the appliance is connected to power of whether the plug is in well contact. 
Check whether the voltage is too low. 
Check whether there is a power failure or partial circuits have tripped. 

Odor 
Odorous foods shall be tightly wrapped. 
Check whether there is any rotten food. 
Clean the inside of the refrigerator. 

Long-time operation of the compressor 
Long operation of the refrigerator is normal in summer when the ambient temperature is high. 
It is not recommended having too much food in the appliance at the same time. 
Food shall get cool before being put into the appliance. 
The doors are opened too frequently. 

Light fails to get lit 
Check whether the refrigerator is connected to power supply and whether the illuminating light is damaged. 

Doors cannot be properly closed 
The door is stuck by food packages. 
The refrigerator is tilted. 

Loud noise  
Check whether the floor is level and whether the refrigerator is placed stably. 
Check whether accessories are placed at proper locations. 

Door seal fails to be tight 
Remove foreign matters on the door seal. 
Heat the door seal and then cool it for restoration (or blow it with an electrical drier or use a hot towel for heating). 

Water pan overflows 
There is too much food in the chamber or food stored contains too much water, resulting in heavy defrosting. 
The doors are not closed properly, resulting in frosting due to entry or air and increased water due to defrosting. 

Hot housing 
Heat dissipation of the built-in condenser via the housing, which is normal. When housing becomes hot due to high ambient temperature and storage of too much food, it is recommended to provide sound ventilation to facilitate heat dissipation. 

Surface condensation 
Condensation on the exterior surface and door seals of the refrigerator is normal when the ambient humidity is too high. Just wipe the condensate with a clean towel. 

Abnormal noise 
Buzz: The compressor may produce buzzes during operation, and the buzzes are loud particularly upon start or stop. This is normal. 
Creak: Refrigerant flowing inside of the appliance may produce creak, which is normal.
