I like that its an electric range and it’s, by far, the best range I have ever owned or used. It meets my needs and expectations. It is very easy to use too, I just plugged it in. The knobs are easily adjusted and the oven knobs are unmistakable from the range knobs. I also like that the oven is spacious. It doesnt take up excess space in my kitchen and the performance is excellent. Its over 10 years old and still works as new. The burners heat up quickly and also cool down quickly. When something drips in the oven, it cleans up very easily as well. I have recommended Hotpoint to many friends and family members.

Ever since my mom has been in her home she has battled with the Hotpoint fridge that came with the home. She has had numerous visits needed for repairs. She recently was going through papers from the previous owners repairs and found that this fridge has needed the same repairs prior to her living there. Her model number was HSS251FMDWW... Prior receipts record 300.00 repairs to a control board and defrost thermostat... Then the buyers warranty replaced for free three more visits under moms ownership... Then her buyers warranty ran out. She has since spent 600.00 on other visits for the same parts, board and defrost thermostat... Moral of story... Read reviews. Never ever buy a Hotpoint... Its time for mom to cut losses and invest in a fridge but her recent repairman said, There is nothing on the market worth investing money into. Youre better keeping what you have... I highly disagree.

I cannot be accurate. All I know is that I bought a $3000 lemon! I have had at least 7 repair visits. They have all had to do with the freezer side and water. Finally, they disconnected the water and we are no longer able to get water. Of the at least 7 repair visits, 3 have to do with the ice maker. Ice maker #2 just stopped working. It is a LEMON. Do not buy a GE Refrigerator. I am not blaming the service, only the manufacturer.

I like that the microwave cooks quickly and large capacity. Like the high wattage too and food gets done relatively evenly. Its lasted a long time and makes relatively little noise. Great for beginning or end of the day meals. But stainless steel might have been better for outside. Glass rotating dish and cavity can be burdensome to clean. Wish it was easier to clean. Would like a more stain resistant, less easily scratchable surface. More intuitive control programming would be a great improvement. White color becomes greasy brown over time. Setting up and using it is simple though. All I had to do was take it out of box, plug it in and plop it down in kitchen. Its a snap. And remove styrofoam and plastic too. Then just add water and pop the food inside.

Love the range and the look of it... The design is wonderful and I enjoy the way it's built. It's easy to clean and works well in my kitchen. It holds its own by itself. It took me a little over an hour to install the range... I love the easy install. Just a simple hookup. But I would improve the cost and the colors of the range. I want to see more of today's colors. The colors need to be brighter and today's fashion. And I would love to see shades and tones that are unique. Work on the colors and I know it will sell more of them. But I would recommend this to everyone who need one.. Great job you guys. Keep it up. I would buy another one.

Needed a freezer in a pinch so chose the Hotpoint Chest freezer from Lowes, shame on me not doing the researcher I normally do. Worked for a few months and is now essentially a refrigerator, looking for the number to call the company to see what they will do. Be aware of this brand, will post the outcome when I have it.

Pretty good stove. It works good. Its just too big for my small apartment. This would be a great stove for gourmet cook or large family. I like it though. Just better off with larger family. Love the inside oven light.

The auger is brittle, breaks into fragments and falls into the ice and then dumps into the dispenser. I got a cup of water and ice and it was full of sharp plastic pieces that had broken off. I did not know and swallowed one of them and it is caught in my throat. This is a very dangerous situation and I am scared. I read that is happened recently to someone else on this website. My double fridge freezer is a 2006 Hotpoint model. Please contact me.

The microwave is an attractive unit that came at a good price with an excellent warranty. The unit is energy saving and features a rotating tray and LED display. I like the fact that it cooks evenly and quickly. Setup and use of the microwave is extremely simple and you can be cooking in minutes. The product exceeded my expectations at an excellent price and is very useful for kids and seniors looking for a quick meal. It works as advertised. The only improvement that I can think of is to make the unit a bit smaller. This takes up quite a bit of overall counter space in a small kitchen.

I like that my microwave has one button push for convenience and it is a powerful microwave. This is a brand I would recommend to anyone. I am satisfied with it just how it is. It is just the right size and fits nicely on my countertop. It was very easy to set up and is simple to use. I enjoy my microwave. It more than meets my needs and expectations, and I am very happy with it. It cooks food very quickly.

We bought the Hotpoint refrigerator/freezer, (freezer is on top,) almost 20 yrs ago and have never had a problem. The only issue we have is that the freezer space is rather small for a family of even just 2 people. The big plus? Its SO easy to clean and light enough to move to get to the back to clean that area as well.

The microwave was very easy to use. I bought it, took it home, and plugged it in. I couldnt believe how easy it was to set up, and how fast I could start using my microwave. However, the microwave that I own at the moment, is not very tall, so I cannot fit anything into it larger than a cereal bowl. That is very involving because I like to heat my food in the microwave in large bowls. But other than that, I highly appreciate the one-touch heat time buttons. I also like how evenly all the food cooks inside the microwave. Also, all of the special feature buttons, such as popcorn, are timed perfectly. I highly recommend the brand.

It is very energy efficient and I like the freezer compartment because I can fit a large pizza in it compared to my old side by side Hotpoint where I could not store large items as the aforementioned, and also the old one was not as energy efficient. But I wish the storage bins on my Hotpoint refrigerator were clear plastic or glass to better view the contents.

I heard so many bad things about this dryer after I had bought it that I was scared. So the first thing I did was put a big load of wet towels and other clothes in it and set it for 50 minutes. Fifty minutes later all the clothes were dried perfectly and I noticed that the machine was really quiet. So for $379.00 I feel I got my money`s worth. A cheaply made dryer that does the job just as it should like any other dryer as far as I can tell. I feel even better because Hotpoint is made by GE and is just low end line of General Electric so it should hold up.

At 23 months after purchase, this Hotpoint top-freezer fridge began to make a loud noise when it was running and emitted an electrical burning odor. It is out of warranty so Hotpoint (GE) repairs quoted on the phone would be $99 for diagnosis plus labor plus parts, likely almost as much as the original cost of the fridge. Clearly, this fridge was poorly made and has proven unreliable. Hotpoint may once have produced a good product but this no longer appears to be the case. I strongly advise everyone against purchasing such unreliable Hotpoint products. The extended warranty, which I did not purchase, is an seems an excuse to make an inferior product.

18 months after buying a Hotpoint refrigerator, it stopped working. I paid half the price of the fridge for repair and the repairman told me this was a known problem with Hotpoint. I asked, and he was replacing the non-working part with a Hotpoint part, because no other companys part would fit. 18 months later the same part failed again. I came home from 3 weeks on vacation and found all my frozen food melted. To have it repaired a second time would make the repairs as expensive as the fridge itself, and guarantee that in 18 months I will again be throwing out all my food. I wont buy anything from Hotpoint ever again.

I bought the fridge 4 months ago and I regret it. Makes very loud noise and recently It has started making some other strange noise. Food goes bad very fast apart from the one in the freezer. Power consumption and appearance is also okay.

My house was built in 2002 and it came with a simple 4 burners Hotpoint gas range, it is white. In 2016, I smell gas so I called the gas company and the guy said it aint them, so it must be the range, so I bought another one from Hotpoint, very similar to the first one. Yesterday I asked the gas company to come and see where the gas leak is coming from, as every time I walked by the stove, I smell gas. He looked and checked and found it was the gas range, so he shut the gas off and suggested I buy a better one. He said there are more problems with this brand than others, and I should buy one which cost over $700. So be warned, I went thru two Hotpoints and they both leaked gas, I am now buying a Samsung. I would not recommend anyone buying Hotpoint, gas leak could kill or burn your house down.

I just used this washer and I absolutely found a gem. The old washer (9 years old) was flooding my floor. So I started some research. I had a list of what I was looking for: 3.5cuft or larger (this is 3.7), top loader, full agitator, must not require HE detergent (irritates my skin), manual water level setting (no automatic sensing), no limit set on hot temperature (must use 115-120F water), must have second rinse, no "cycles" overload, no automatic load balancing (uses too much water and TIME0, must allow for soaking (no auto drain if lid left open over 10 minutes), no lid lock (can add more stuff on the fly). So this Hotpoint came right to the front of the line — hit every requirement. Reaction after hours of joyful use: the machine is orders of magnitude quieter, the spin cycle is really high speed and extracts much more water than the replaced washer and the wash is quick with very clean clothes thanks to the two speed agitator. Some pleasant surprises: during the rinse fill cycle, the agitator pulses to move the clothes around as fresh water enters, spin drying starts slowly and in three steps get to the max (quietly, too). No delicate cycle, but the permanent-press cycle uses gentle cycling (pulses and slower spin speed). Every washer setting worked exactly as expected: hot water, full tub, soak, two rinses. No whistles, no PhD degree for operation settings. Just set a three dials and wait for the clean clothes. Full disclosure: I do not work for Hotpoint or GE. I design computers and did not want one for a washer (ok, there are internal electronic controls, but I think you know what I mean).

Hotpoint Ranges have separate oven and broiler controls but there is no way of doing both at the same time. It has an actual temperature reading but the oven also has alarms/beeps to alert you that it has reached the desirable temperature. Similarly, when the timer reaches the requested time, it will beep at you periodically until you at least open the door. Plus, the adjustable racks let you cook multiple things at one. Dial the temperature you want and hit the bake or broil button one more time to activate it. I wish there is a smart automatic shut off mechanism because I’m afraid that I will leave it on and then leave the house. Also, the insulating gasket wears and needs to be replaced.

This is a decent dishwasher for the price. Won’t clean that well though if you don’t rince them before.

My oven/range works wonderfully. I like how short the range is, it is not too high for me and it does not have any flashing red lights for the oven like my old one did. I turn on the oven and the oven lights up real fast, not that preheat garbage like my old one did. The burners on the of the range turn on real fast - I like that too. But it could have a more wide temperature range and the broiler would be on the top of the range instead of at the bottom.

My range is very old, 27 years, to be exact. I feel it has been a very good stove, the only replacement part I have ever needed is a heating element. That was about 2 years ago, and it was about $100. The stove is an older model, in white, it is a gas stove. It is the original stove put in our home. It does the job and I stand by the Hotpoint label.

I normally don't spend time doing reviews but the washing machine thing became a very sore topic around our house. We used Consumer Reports to guide us (normally they have been good to us in the past) and purchased an expensive, highly recommended, water and energy efficient machine. Within a few months all our towels and cotton clothing were smelling like mold. We tried cleaning with clorox, vinegar, and a number of other tricks. It got so bad, we gave the machine away after a year. We replaced with another fancy, recommended, high efficiency machine. After another year of suffering with the same problem we also got rid of that machine. We went online and saw that many other people were having the same problem, and there are now class action suits against the manufacturers of those machines. Which brings us to this inexpensive, ugly little white box of a washing machine. It is so simple to use, it makes me laugh--it's like the machine my mom used when I was a kid. It won't sing a nifty tune when the clothes are done, and it doesn't have any USB ports or a cappucino maker. But our clothes finally smell clean and fresh. It has worked great for us for the past three months, and we do several loads a day. Saving water and electricity is great, but you know what's even better? Clothes that don't stink the second you put them on! Buyer beware on those fancy chrome machines.

Works great. The only dislike is one of the large burners is in the rear of stove top. The self clean works great. Its all digital control is very easy to use. Has a timer for cooking. And a oven timer that stops automatically.

In 2010 I bought a fridge from Hotpoint and found that after just three years rust started appear on the front and on sides. Never had that problem before with any other make. The fridge in question was supposed to be a replacement for a faulty one!!! I will never buy a fridge from this manufacturer again. I purchased other electrical appliances in the same period of time and no rust has appeared on any of them. I need to point out that I keep my house clean and tidy and look after it with pride therefore this fault would never be the result of neglect or misuse of any sort.This is a warning to anybody considering to get any electrical appliance from Hotpoint in the future. Surprisingly economy & quiet, very simple and budget, from a day one works without any problem, meanwhile its appearance is pretty conservative if not to say primitive without any modern features or else.

Hotpoint is a good manufacture of efficient appliances at a reasonable cost. I have owned other electric ranges in the past but this model is the best I have ever owned. The oven range is simple to use, cooks fast and efficiently. It also heats up rapidly and has very good temperature control. But it is not easy to clean. I wish it had a self-cleaning mode where I could conveniently push a button and it would clean itself.

The oven has a large capacity, great for cooking turkey. The stove top has ample room for cooking many dishes at once. And the self cleaning oven makes for an easy cleanup. The range itself is quite easy to use. It features large, easy to read dials, and the digital screen and control panel are easy to both read and use. The oven preheats quickly, so cooking takes a little less time. But my particular range has an electric coil top. The problem with this is the coil burners pose a problem for cleanup, and they break easily. I am in need of a new range for this particular reason. So the company itself is great, but its older model ranges pose electrical issues.

Integrated fridge freezer, so expensive item. Not working in less than 3 years. Terrible customer service, didnt even get back after numerous calls and emails. Tried to have mended but unsuccessful. Had to buy new one. Now found out 4 out of 10 in customer reviews - expect more from big brand.

My Hotpoint gas range oven was manufactured in May 2017. I replaced it in November 2021. Im a single guy - how often do I really use the oven? And yet after four years, the appliance guy told me I needed a new thermostat. The cost to replace it was almost the cost for a new oven so goodbye Hotpoint!

Bought Hotpoint refrigerator. Model hps18bthmrww June 2019. After few months use, the pocket cracked. We were unable to buy part. Now we must buy a whole new door! This is ridiculous. We can’t afford to buy new doors every time this thing cracks up! Avoid this GE Hotpoint refrigerator... it is a rotten lemon!!!

I've had it for about a week. It does a good job of washing and leaves the clothes ready for the dryer. I find it makes a loud swooshing sound when in washing mode. I previous washer that died after eight years was a Whirlpool.. I loved it and it made very little noise. We bought the extra warranty just in case. I hope I get used to the annoying noise.

My appliance lasted 13 months, 1 month out of warranty. After waiting for two weeks for an appointment to fix my fridge the engineer didnt turn up and I was not informed why. I spent all day trying to find out where he was, each time the call center hung up on me. At the end of the day I eventually got through and was told the engineer would be there the next morning. After taking another day off work the engineer failed to turn up so I spent another day trying to talk to someone with half a brain. After 54 minutes on the phone trying to find out what has happened to my appointment the call center hung up once again. I decided to cut my losses and buy a new appliance that wasnt Hotpoint. I wouldnt buy another Hotpoint appliance if someone paid me, they do not deserve to run a business if customers mean that little to them.

We bought a new Hotpoint refrigerator from Home Depot approximately 5 years ago. In that 5 years, we have had to have a repairman make a service call 4 times, 3 for the ice maker alone, once covered under the warranty. We have totally replaced the ice maker once, which we had to pay for. I am extremely upset that again, tomorrow, we have a service man set up to once again look at the ice maker. It has quit running. No ice, nothing! The service man comes when called and he too has expressed his displeasure with the product - bad, bad design. Im tired of having to pay for service calls and parts. I plan to contact the Better Business Bureau and any other complaint organization to voice my displeasure with the Hotpoint product. In the past, I have had refrigerators for 10-15 years with no problems at all. Why is this product falling apart in less than 5 years? Very, very dissatisfied and do not plan to stay silent about the issues we have had to face. I will do everything I can to spread the word. This is a bad, bad product.

I love the size of my oven. The temperatures are very accurate as well. The only thing I wish is for the broiler to be on top. It sits very low to the ground & with my back issues... But it too, is a nice size & I dont have to worry about cramming any pans/cook sheets inside to fit.

My Hotpoint oven has been calibrated for all these years. Cooking our meals without burning or them turning out raw. The Hotpoint is so sturdy and reliable I only need to replace it when I want a new range. However, I hate cleaning the top of the stove. It should be made of non stick material so it can just be wiped off instead of having to use muscle power. Also, it would be nice to have a rotisserie attachment on it and more storage in the unit for more cooking utensils too. Most of the ranges are the same. The only set up is to remove the rack and position it on the rack needed for baking. The heat setting is always calibrated correctly as I can tell because I dont burn a lot of food. I can trust the setting. I will buy a Hotpoint every time. Keep up the good work.

For the price I would tell everyone to get one. It has a great name, it fits really good with the rest of the kitchen and heats nice. It has great features, its easy for the kids to use, and they can make their own dinner when I dont have the time to do it myself. But it needs to be a little bigger than it is. It can only hold small dishes, not really a lot which I dont like about it. But it works better than the other brands that are out there. It was a good price too. It can be installed by anyone and you dont have to have very many tools to do it. It came with great instructions and was real easy to put in under the stove. I did it all myself. Overall, very satisfied with it.

The oven from Hotpoint Ranges meets my needs. I like the oven light and the automatic timer which helps keep you from overcooking foods. Also, I like that the front burners have powerful settings which allows you to cook faster. The size is good enough for my small kitchen without taking over counter space. The oven is not complicated to use as well. I am a 3 person household and we have no issues. However, changing the time is a bit difficult. The click should be automatic too. I do not like having to reset for daylight savings time. I also wish the power burners were on the back as opposed to front. That way you can boil things without worry about kids running into the oven. I would also like it more if the surface was easier to keep clean. I would like a self-cleaning oven and the broiler should have high medium and low setting.

Hotpoint is the worst brand I have ever used, not enough space and over freezes, bins are too small. Would never buy this brand, no butter dish, and spaces on door are too small to fit bottles in.

I have purchased this Hotpoint gas range by GE in 2009 and have not had any problem with it. It is a basic model, no self cleaning, however I found it easy to keep clean. The oven is apparently not as well insulated compared to more expensive models, and does become hot to the touch when used for a long period of time.

I purchased this dryer two months ago and have been completely pleased with its performance. It dries clothes fast and is much quieter than my previous dryer. I love it and hope it lasts for many many years.

The Hotpoint microwave is very simple to use. I like this microwave and it works great for me. It comes in various colors. I like the minute buttons that are pre-programmed. It's easy to read, use and function. I would like these functions on my next microwave. If I were to replace this I would look into another Hotpoint. Never had any problems with it in 12 yrs and I would recommend this brand to anyone looking for a microwave.

This fridge came with my apartment. It works very well. It has shelves and 2 bottom drawers for veggies/fruit. If I needed to buy another one, I would definitely look at this brand.

My stove heats up really quickly. My food takes no time to cook. When we first received the stove is was used we had it over a year now. The pilot went out once after we replaced it we havent had any problems. Yes I would recommend this brand to other customers because its long lasting.

My Hotpoint oven meets all of my expectations despite its size. I like that there are four different ranges and that the knobs are easy enough to read and set to the correct temperature. It makes it easy to use and helps me out when I am cooking all of the foods that I want to eat. The Hotpoint oven is a fairly good working oven, but needs to be larger. It is extremely small, and makes it difficult to cook large sized food items inside of it. If I could, I would make it a good deal bigger so that I am able to cook larger foods that I want to eat.

I purchased a Hotpoint Fridge Freezer. From early on it made loud strange noises. I never felt it was safe. Eventually it stopped working. All my food was spoiled. Before it broke down it sounded like a jumbo jet taking off. I wrote to CE and my product was replaced. After a year same problem. Again I wrote to CE this time I received a call from an irritating customer service person who couldnt have cared less. They said they would be happy to send out an engineer at a cost to me. Explains I thought it was a product fault and it wasnt fit for purpose possibly dangerous. Not interested. I know longer felt safe with this product so bought a Bush for half the price and so far so good. I love it. Hotpoint and I are to finished forever.

I think that its a good brand...had zero problems...cooks well...cooks evenly...easy to clean...parts are simple to find to replace parts when needed...I just think that it is a really good stove and range all around...

I bought my Hotpoint over range microwave three years from Sears. Now it trip the breaker each we started to use. Beginning I thought it is a bad breaker so, I hired an electrician to replaced that breaker. It is 20 Amp breaker. But after it is replaced, it still trip the new breaker we put in. Then he unplug the microwave from the outlet then plug it to a different outlet, it still trip the breaker. Is this a defected microwave I bought? It is only three years old. According to web report, a microwave support last 9 to 10 years. I dont know. Should I repair it or replace it?

My Hotpoint fridge freezer is 3 years old and the compressor is broken. Firstly Hotpoint isnt really Hotpoint anymore, its Indesit. We thought we were buying a quality fridge, but it turns out we werent. Weve bought the insurance repair or replace policy that Hotpoint sell which they tell you is very popular with our customers. It cost £185 a year. I waited 2 days for an engineer to come and look at our broken fridge. He came this morning. The compressor is broken but the parts are out of stock. The earliest they will be back in is the 30th July, i.e. over a week away, and its perfectly OK, Ive been told by them on the phone, for me to have no working fridge in that time. Its summer and my kids are 2 and 4. We live in a flat and have no back-up fridge. Ill report back with what happens next. The Domestic and General policy they sell is a complete joke when you have a real problem. They tell you theyll refund the policy, but then youre faced with having to buy a new fridge. Im raging!!!

GE has come out with a new heater kit for their GE Hotpoint refrigerators. It is to arrest the water line from freezing. It also appears that their original insulation is inefficient, so they apparently are replacing it. The only problem is that they charge excessive amount for a problem that they created in the same place. They should have done a type of repair free of charge on every faulty unit, which they have not. The freezer had once already frozen behind the cover and a repairman came while we had the extended warranty. I dont believe its fair for GE to charge customers for replacing parts and for labor on a defect of their appliances. My appliance model and serial #s are: HSM25GFTSA and GL256345. My extended warranty expired 5/23/11. So there is no way they will want to touch it without charging an exorbitant amount at this time. My wife has been ill for several months and she is in peril of getting laid off due to her illness. As sick as she is, we are having trouble making ends meet.

I like that I can heat or thaw anything in my microwave. Using it was very simple and I love that I didn't need any help to use it and love the way it has easy to use instructions and love the color. I love all the features mine has and it works great. And my family loves it also.

This is a great fridge freezer if you like spending your time replacing it. Under warranty, it was replaced twice. Then the door broke and I went for the cheaper repair option than buying a different brand. Main problem is that the no freeze system needs outside condensation. When it is hot outside and strangely you would then want things to be kept cold, ice forms in the condensation pipe or air distribution channel. Defrost the freezer for 18 hours with the door open, and about 0.5 l of water spills out. Then it will work again. You may need a new floor too. Bought a matching oven, too: No spare parts available. So stay away from this company: Hotpoint, Ariston and the likes.

Smooth top range works fantastic! Only complaint is top left burner went out within 1st year. It was reported but never fixed. Adapted by using 3 burners instead of the 4 the stove is equipped with. Oven temperatures are even and all meals cook evenly and well.

The Hotpoint microwave is very simple to use and the controls are easy to use. I like that it is touch screen and has many different heating options (such as defrost with varying types of food choices for proper defrost time). It also has a revolving platter to ensure that the food is heated evenly. I am quite satisfied with the features it already has and Im happy with its current configuration.

We purchased a fridge Model 77802 in 2013. A few months later the door handle cracked. This was repaired free as it was under one year old. Once again the new handle has cracked. Seems very poor quality and perhaps a design fault. I have attempted to ring customer services, been held in a queue for so long every time I have tried, I have had to hang up to do chores etc. I am very dissatisfied with the quality of this fridge and as we are a family of just two, I wonder how long these flimsy handles last for a family use.

This microwave have all the features that would possibly want. The controls are very easy to use. The lighted controls are easy on the eyes and respond to a very light touch. I really like the reheat option and the defrost option. The manual is easy to comprehend but as I get older I would like the manuals to have the printing just a tad larger. Other than that, the setup, functions and controls are very easy to understand. The best mico-wave I have ever used.

We have a side by side refrigerator/freezer and it has been with us about 4 years. It was a little taller than the old one and we had to trim the cabinets. I don't know why manufacturers cannot make an icemaker that is reliable though. Ours works but not as good as it should. Filters for the water system are not cheap to buy either. All in all it has been a good brand.

The Hotpoint oven is very very good and full of features. It is a self-cleaning oven with an above area fan, timers and a digital am and pm clock that helps me when I am trying to use it. Also, it is so very simple enough to use that I let my two teenage daughters use it all the time to make supper or to bake desserts for the entire family.

This gas range is over 20 years old and still going strong and if I had to replace it I would wanna replace it with the very same thing. I’ve only had one service call in all this time and it was nothing major and only cost me $125.

The products are of great quality and an inexpensive price. The ovens and ranges are durable as well as chic in design. They come in electric and gas. The elements and wiring doesn’t have to be replaced often because Hotpoint commits to reaching above the standards when choosing its components.

I really dont like this stove is awful! It has stains from the eyes that I cant get out and the oven gets so hot that my granddaughter can burn her hand. I still use it because I can not afford another one!

Temperature tends to get much colder than actual setting, eggs have frozen but that's the only con. I adjust the temperature to warmer and the fridge still keeps everything nice and cold.

As appliances get more complex, I find that they tend to also get more problematic. Since the cost of a repairman can easily run close to the cost of a new basic appliance, I find it more economical to do without the bells, whistles, and buzzers and buy a reasonably priced washer or dryer that gets good ratings and meets my needs. I purchased this Hotpoint washer at a local big box store and since the controls are quite basic, four load levels and the usual three combinations of water/rinse temperatures, there was no need to read the instruction booklet and I just proceeded to finish the laundry left over when my last basic machine died after six years. It has a nice size capacity as well as the expected bleach dispenser and a power rinse cycle for use with fabric softener. One thing that did surprise and please me was how quiet this machine runs. It does a nice job with getting clothes clean, with cycles for whites, permanent press, colors and light or heavy time choices for each of those.

All I had to do was set up time of day on my Hotpoint but I did not know how to reset the factory setting. Wish you could change the factory setting, let people set up their own preset buttons and use the time I wanted. And they should have a better timer and longer beeps to let me know the mac is done. I wish I had gotten the over the oven kind but love the one I have. It works great and cost little. I have had the best luck with Hotpoint, but would like to check out other brand names. I would tell others to buy the big under the counter one.

Bought a new f/f 2 months ago. It told me its frost free. The drawers of freezer have loads of ice all over them. It makes horrendous noise so rang for repair and was told I have to defrost it at least for 24 hours. I said I never would have bought it had I known that... I said it’s meant to be frost free. She said it is but only directly inside the fridge and freezer drawers won’t frost up but it will get iced up inside the pipes. Omg and I should defrost it every time, well the freezer drawers do frost badly and I’m not defrosting every 4 weeks why should I? I asked for a repair date and she kept saying all they will say to me is to defrost it. I said, I’m not happy. 700 pound later I have a rubbish fridge and I want a new one. She said, “Oh I can’t say that to you as I’m not an engineer.” I then said, “Then don’t tell me to defrost it then.” I then said, “I want to speak to a manager” and then she said, “I never said you can’t have an engineer.” Grrrr so I now have one coming in two days. If I was away and it happened again it could be dangerous. So no not happy I should have stuck with Samsung.

The microwave is very simple to use and was not too complicated to set up. It fits into a cabinet so it was a little difficult to get it to fit but other than that there was no problem to setting it up. It meets my needs very well and I have no problems with it. I like the fact that the microwave is large and will accommodate large things. I like the fact that there are different settings for the power so I can use half-power for some things instead of full power. I like the black color which goes with my kitchen appliances. But I dislike the fact that there are no settings geared toward specific things. For instance there are no settings with times for baked potatoes and things of that nature. I like the specifics of how long things need to cook for this specific microwave oven and this one does not have that. I have to guess at how long to zap things.

I am searching for a range and the things that I am most concerned about is the price, durability and customers service. I don’t a bells and whistles stove because I am a senior on disability and just need a reliable one at a very good price.

This fridge is not a good brand! Not quality made. You can buy a good quality fridge with a brand name and reputation for nearly the same price. Mine is turning on and off once about every 3 weeks. Not sure why. I think its over heating. Also the light burned a hole through the plastic. I would not recommend this product ever.

Its a good refrigerator. It was in the house before I bought it and after 19 years, its still going strong. I dont like that the vegetable drawers are on the bottom. The icebox section is small, so its hard to store a lot of items.

It is the best three door fridge I have ever owned - dual freezer doors, no huge doors to open, easy access to produce, a lot of storage areas, equal freezer space to fridge space, perfect size for one or two people.

I own a 30" freestanding white range purchased 14 years ago. Still works as new. I prefer white appliances as they are easiest to clean and maintain appearance best. My only issue is that the broil function is not continuous. My understanding is that this is now customary for safety reasons, however, in the past my stoves had continuous broil and there were no problems associated with this. Stove bakes well and maintains consistent oven temp.

The freezer causes ice to evaporate within a few days, surprising you when you go for ice from trays which were recently filled. The temperature varies from just under freezing to slightly below freezing, making it necessary to check if items are frozen.

I love my Hotpoint double wall oven. It preheats super quick, always provides evenly distributed heat for baking and broiling, and cools down rather quickly once oven is shut off. The only thing I do not like is there is only one oven light switch. It controls both top and bottom oven lights so it cannot be used to turn on only the top or bottom lights. Overall I am happy with this oven.

I love my Hotpoint oven. It is really simple to use. All I do is clean the burner or oven if I need to before I use it, then set the desired heat, and cook to completion periodically changing the heat or position of my cookware. All of the buttons and knobs are clearly marked and easy to turn. The oven is accurate and heats quickly too. It is very responsive to heat changes and does not drive up my electric bill. However, the electric range is not very responsive to heat changes and isnt very sensitive the range of heat its supposed to offer. The heat seems to be the same from settings 1-3, 4-6, 7 and above. Also, I wish there were more color options in my price range. But other than that, it’s a great product!

My landlord installed a Hotpoint fridge and it runs for over 2 hours. Im concerned about its safety and is there anything I can do? The last fridge was so loud that it was running constantly and ice was not freezing properly.

I love my Hotpoint range! I like that my range is made by a reliable brand name...Hotpoint. It's extremely easy to operate and that it's very easy to clean. It has a self-cleaning oven. It also cooks to perfection. I like the style and the color as well. When I was shopping for my Hotpoint, Lowe's had a display range that I fell in love with and was able to get the exact one. They had a display that matched my kitchen perfectly and they were able to accommodate me with the same color.

It Easily operate your range stove without reaching over hot pots and pans. I can quickly clean up spills and remove crumbs from the subtop. What really good its feature a durable construction to help accommodate any size or type of cookware. Smooth surface makes it cleaning by hand easier. Strong and long lasting. Contains spill and remove for easy cleaning. Most important provides a convenient viewing area to check the progress of food when an element is on it. I just wish I could somehow get a new one because the whole part of my oven broke everything. Am only using the top. I was so upset the day it happen. They dropped it. I dont know how but I was out grocery shopping when this happened and they wear fixing the kitchen and whatnot but seriously it be a miracle if I could get a new one a blessing.

I love my oven range. I absolutely love cooking for my family and friends with it. I don't have any complaints. It's easy to use and even easier to clean up. It is fashion appropriate for my kitchen and I am able to get all my cooking done at the same time. I preheat oven or pans and then cook accordingly. My daughter has even been learning how to cook on the stove. It's very nice and great for everything. But if I could do anything I would incorporate an awesome skillet on top or maybe a double oven.

Setting up the Hotpoint microwave was very easy. The packaging was not difficult to remove and the three prong grounded plug is a good feature of safety. The control panel is user-friendly and was easy to figure out even without the manual. Also, the touch sensitive panel is easy to use, and takes little pressure to enter the number or function you are putting in. But I dislike the turntable and the plastic ring with the three rollers is rather flimsy. When you use a large dish the turntable often hesitates instead of turning freely. This can cause uneven cooking of the food in the dish and can lead to boil over on some food items, resulting in a mess to clean up.

The Hotpoint ovens are very basic and does its job without getting fancy. They provide the features that I need to cook my meals. But I dont like how bright white my stove is. Some colors would make it extraordinary. Id still buy this because of the price and how its made but they need to add some designs in their future builds.

This is a much nicer dryer than I'd thought it would be. The inside is much larger than my old one and it dries faster. Good unit. Who needs the big, expensive ones with the glass doors anyway? Honestly, I think the fancier ones are overrated.

I did get my moneys worth, believe it or not its over 40 yrs old and still works but part of the fridge freezes most stuff, it is a frost free but sometimes ice forms in the fridge. It has an upper freezer and the fridge beneath. I truly need shelves like a side by side. I have 3 small veggie bins, even if one bin, larger would be better. It is an energy hog being so old. The reason I have not purchased a new one is due to my health. I cant go to the stores and this is one product I want to see up close and personal. Not purchase online.

I like the range, its a basic range. Does the work its designed to do. The price is within range for a normal range. Mine does have self cleaning. And that is a big help. Otherwise there are no surprises.

I purchased a new dishwasher online. It was a very smooth transaction. It was easy to understand the products, easy to complete the online purchase along with purchasing installation, the product arrived a couple days later, and the installation was quick and done well.

I like that it is an electric range, with four burners, it is over 10 years old but still works well. It is a basic model, very easy to use and I love that it has a self cleaning feature. But I would make it with convection for even cooking, and have a shutoff timer for cooking - actually turning off the oven when the cook time is up. And I would like it to vent outside when the self cleaning feature is used because it usually sets off the smoke alarms. But it is a good range for how old it is.

We have owned our Hotpoint refrigerator since 2007 and it has been making a loud whistling noise and had a technician come out and oil everything and it came right back and now the water went out in the door. Model #HSS25GFTA BB

Low end and Wire shelves sag, but does the job. Love the recessed handles, good ice maker and seems to have an even temperature throughout but takes up a lot of room in the small freezer.

This is a much better quality appliance than you would think being at the entry level of dishwashers

I live in an apartment so I had no choice. It is electric and I am used to gas so I am still getting used to it. There is an oven light but it has an on and off switch. I prefer when the light comes on automatically if the oven door is opened. It seems nice enough. I just need to cook more to get used to electric.

Not too noisy, easy install, gets my dishes clean. Minor issue is drying the dishes, I have it slightly open but the airflow isn't that great so I generally have to set the dishes out on the counter to finish drying.

I have a Hotpoint model #hsh22ifta bb. I too have had the same issues reported by others relative to the freezer/motherboard and water dispenser. I too have limited income and to purchase such an expensive lemon only to have it fail is, to say the least, disconcerting and maddening (I am being polite). Hotpoint should be ashamed and held accountable for the repeated failure of their products.

Being an older model, this stove is not equipped with modern features, however it cooks well, and bakes well. I just wish that it had a see through oven door, with a few more modern features. I will shop for a newer model.

I purchased my Hotpoint model Hss25gfpa www side by side refrigerator new about 8 or 9 years ago. NOT BUILT TO LAST... Front and sides are rusting, water only works from door dispenser for a few weeks a year the rest of the time is inoperable, NOW FOR THE DANGEROUS PART... When the ice maker still was usable unlike the water dispenser I had dispensed a glass of crushed ice into my large plastic cup. As I drank my beverage with the ice i luckily attempted to chew the remainder of ice left in my mouth before swallowing and taking another drink. As I was chewing the crushed ice I bit down on a jagged piece of clear plastic that broke off the clear plastic ice auger in the ice maker... I prob would have had serious or fatal injuries if I had swallowed this piece of plastic that broken off, it was about the size of half a dime. I called to complain to customer service and they told me they would not pay for repair as it was out of warranty and I could file a complaint with their complaint department about almost swallowing the jagged plastic but the complaint department was unreachable at that time... DO NOT BUY A HOTPOINT REFRIGERATOR.

Dishes come out so clean. Not real noisy for a dishwasher

My friends went on a short holiday only to get a phone call to say that their house was on fire. They rushed back home & were told that their Hotpoint fridge freezer of approximately 5 years old had caught Fire. The house now requires extensive repair & will take approximately 6 months to do. Is there a moral to this story. Empty the fridge freezer, have a feast in it, your friends around. Then switch off your appliance.
