How to Clean My Washing Machine?

Did you know that your washing machine needs to be cleaned regularly? Just like your clothes? And running your washing machine during laundry won’t cut it.
If your washing machine is not cleaned, soap residue and minerals will build up over time. When this happens, you will notice that your clothes will stop cleaning as effectively.
How to Clean your Washing Machine
- Fill your empty washing machine with hot water and add 1 quart of bleach. Let the machine run for 1 minute.
- Open the top of your machine and let it sit for 1 hour.
- After waiting for 1 hour, shut the cover and let the machine run one complete cycle.
After you’re done, repeat this same process but with 1 quart of vinegar instead of bleach.
Once the cycle is complete, spray the gaskets, dispenser and exterior of the machine with a mixture of vinegar and water. Wipe everything down with a clean cloth.
The basin should look and smell clean! You should be able to see a big difference when doing laundry in the future.
