Television Error Codes
CODE: Red Light Flashes 2 Times
Sometimes, it seems your Insignia TV blinking red light twice and then won’t turn on. Flashing light on TV basically is the indication of a diagnosis state that is referred to as protection. TV goes to protection or standby mode due to two root reasons.
One is for internal damage, and the other one is jammed internal circuits. Internal circuits get defective for the supply of wrong voltage on the main chip or accumulating electrostatic charges on capacitors.
When the circuit notifies internal fault due to low voltage, the TV starts flashing lights. Anyway, the problem can be solved by effective methods:
Solutions:
First, shut off your TV and then unplug it from the outlet.
Allow the TV unplugged for a 1 hour to get cool
Now, press the power button and keep holding it for 60 seconds.
Again plug the TV back into the outlet and turn the TV on.
If still the red light flashes, be sure the bap capacitor is the culprit that is creating an internal fault.
Contact the manufacturer and replace the capacitors.
CODE: Red Light Flashes 3 Times
Flashing red light thrice is a bit similar to the problem of flashing the light twice. Basically, blinking code in numbers symbolizes the number of internal faults of the TV.
These internal defects mainly occur on circuit boards. When the TV identifies any breakage in the signal, it flashes red light as alertness. Follow the below steps to fix the problem:
Solutions:
Shut off your TV and then unplug it from the outlet.
Leave it unplugged for about 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, press and hold the power button for a while.
Disconnect the cables and connect them again. Turn on the TV.
If again persists the same issue, be sure there is an electrical fault with the power board.
There is the most possibility of faulty capacitors that are needed to replace.
CODE: Red Light Flashes 4 Times
Many of the users have the query that the TV is not turning on and the light flashes 4 times. This issue is also a bit similar, like 2 or 3 flashes. However the root cause behind the TV red light blinking 4 times is the swollen capacitors.
Also, loose cable connection, failed regulators, dead power supply board, or activated power-saving mode are responsible for this.
Solutions:
First, a power reset your TV by following the above methods.
Disable the power saving mode if it is activated.
Fix the cable problem.
You may need to replace the bad capacitor to get rid of this flash.
CODE: Red Light Flashes 5 Times
Red light flashes 5 times on TV mostly happen due to a faulty circuit section of the unit. Sometimes, activated standby by mode acts as protection and flashes light about 5 times.
Apart from all those, five or six times blinking that there is an issue with the power supply or a fault with your backlight LEDs. But we can’t ignore the exterior issues like loose cable connection and a glitch on HDMI hardware.
Solutions:
As usual, do a hard reset on your TV, which may prove well.
If not, check out the power board and replace the bad capacitors.
Aside from a bad capacitor, don’t forget the black light of the LED.
Finally, change the HDMI cables if they get defective.
CODE: Red Light Flashes 6 Times
Flashing red light 6 times or 6 blinks codes are the indications of the missing voltage in the entire system. Besides this, there create the power set up malfunctions in the TV and flash red light without turning on.
In some cases, faulty cables connection and lack of air in the TV cabinet are the culprits. Outdated firmware might be another reason.
Solutions:
In the fixing period, restart and then power reset your TV.
After that, check out the power supply. Connect your TV to several outlets.
Disconnect all the other devices connected to your TV.
Clean the air vents of the cabinet and manage space for air for fluently passing.
Update the firmware.
Ensure a well-working cable connection with the TV.
CODE: Red Light Flashes 7 Times
When there occurs an overheating issue in the TV, it blinks 7 error codes and flashes red light seven times. The capacitors may wear out due to overheating. Also, it is an indication of the faulty power supply
Solutions:
A hard reset will prove well here to erase all the unresponsive factors.
Check out the capacitor and replace it if needed.
Ensure a proper voltage supply in the TV.
CODE: Red Light Flashes 8 times
If your TV is flashing red light about 8 times, there may have degradation in the power supply. Unstable cable connections are also highly reasonable for this.
Also, if there have faulty wiring connections, it causes the same blink codes. Apply the diagnosis evaluation process to resolve the problem:
Solutions:
At first, unplug the cord from your TV.
Now, leave the TV unplugged for a minimum of 1 hour or more.
Meanwhile, press the power button from the TV’s side panel and keep holding the button for about 60 seconds.
While holding the power button, plug the TV back into the wall outlet.
Don’t connect the TV using power strips or surge protectors.
Now, press and hold the power button again for another 60 seconds.

The video and sound quality are excellent. You just can't find this this kind of quality anywhere else for the low price. I have 2 smaller insignia TVs and bought have insignia for years and will continue to do so.
Insignia TV's are okay if you have another one as well. It has served its purpose for just watching the average television programs. For watching sports, not so much. It tends to blur somewhat with close-up plays and relays. Will get a big screen Sony shortly before OSU football is on.
Very good value for the price. The installation was easy and it worked fine except I added a sound bar Because the TV speakers did not put out enough sound for the room that the TV is in. It Is easy to operate.
INSIGNIA Led TV, Mod: NS-32D20SNA14, screen size diag. 80cm /32". 2 HDMI inputs for home theater connection or a laptop, the sound is great. There is a 720p resolution, great with HD images, picture clarity & color fantastic. There are additional connections for PC, DVI, and a USB port. Would we buy another INSIGNIA, we sure would. :)
Excellent TV for the price. This TV also has the text to speech option which I can use a lot easier than other TVs, this is because I am blind. It also has a voice activated remote that can also be used. You can also set it up with the Amazon echo.
