Lifetime Appliance Repair

Lifetime has come a long way since their beginning. It all started as an idea in a garage in Riverdale, Utah. As a dedicated father and fan of basketball, Lifetime Products' founder simply wanted to build a better basketball hoop for his family. His passion for innovation quickly expanded beyond his initial project, and he created a company in March of 1986 called Lifetime Products. The philosophy for the name, as well as the goal of the company, was to build durable lasting products for consumers and their families. Lifetime Products became a world-wide trusted brand as it quickly broadened from basketball hoops to picnic tables, then folding tables and chairs. Now our sheds, kayaks, and more, are leaders in their markets. From those first years in Lifetime's history, the company has grown from 15 employees in a partial warehouse to over 1500 employees — all over the globe.

Gas Grill Repair

The Grill Won’t Turn On
Whether your grill has a push-start igniter or is battery powered, there might come a time when your grill isn’t turning on or heating up like it used to. A grill that is battery operated sometimes needs a simple battery replacement. However, those with push-start igniters that won’t generate an initial spark could either mean that the igniter is clogged, it has a faulty button, or it needs a wiring repair. If it’s just a clog, you can easily find the affected igniter by removing the cooking grates to inspect the burners and clean them if needed. If it seems that the problem is button or wiring related, then you might need to contact a service technician to get these parts replaced.

The Flame Won’t Stay Lit
If your grill is turning on but the flames repeatedly extinguish, it could be caused from one of three common issues. First check and make sure that the grill is preheated properly and ready for a flame. Then, ensure that the tubes that connect the burner to the control valve are positioned directly over the valve orifice. Finally, make sure those tubes are clean, clear, and free of blockage. If the flame still remains in its stubborn ways, the igniter itself might need repaired or replaced by a service technician.

The Grill Produces Black Smoke
When your grill is producing a massive amount of smoke, especially black smoke, this usually means that it’s time for a cleaning. Excessive build-up of grease on your grill will not only smog out your kitchen, but it can also create a toxic black coating on your food. If black smoke is what’s holding back your grilling efforts, give it a good cleaning beforehand then preheat the grill for 15 minutes. This will help burn off any unwanted residue from previous use. If you are still seeing that ugly black smoke after cleaning, check and clean the venturi tubes and air shutters to make sure that it is producing a proper gas-to-air mixture.

The Grill Is Making Strange Noises
It’s common to hear a strange humming noise come from your grill. This sound is usually a result of environmental factors, such as air temperature, pressure or humidity. Sometimes humming noises can even mean that the gas tank is low or too full. If you are noticing that your grill is making unusual sounds, it’s important to first check your grill for any leaks. If the grill is leak-free, it could just mean that an air bubble is trapped in the gas hose. Your owner’s manual will most likely contain instructions on how to purge the hose. If the humming noise accompanies the alarming smell of propane, it’s time to turn the grill off completely and call a service technician for a professional inspection.

The Flame is Yellow or Orange
This problem is similar to that of black smoke, as it’s usually a result of a clogged venture tube. It would be beneficial to check the control valve and the tubes for any obstructions that might disturb the flow of the fuel. If you find that the tubes are just misaligned, you can easily adjust them by following the instructions in your owner’s manual.

The Grill Cooks Food Unevenly
The main culprit for a grill that cooks unevenly is a blocked burner. It’s very common for excess drippings to clog the ports along the sides of the burners. Check around the burners to ensure that they are producing a flame and use a wire brush to remove any deposits and promote a normal gas flow.
As with all commercial cooking appliances, it’s important to make sure that you are always practicing safe habits when troubleshooting a malfunctioning grill. Before inspecting any of these common issues, be sure that the tank valve is turned off, the grill is disconnected, and completely cooled down.

For people will small decks this is the perfect solution because you get a smoker and a gas grill all in one unit. Both perform great! I like that I can check what’s going on with the grill from the app. I monitored a pork loin from work so I knew when to come and take it off. I really could’ve waited till I got home because it will automatically go into a warming mode once the probe in the meat gets to the temperature I set.

Let me just sat... thank you lifetime. They identified a problem with their displays, sent out an email identifying the problem, and offered a solution. Emailed back and forth with pictures of the problem I had, and they ordered a new part and came out to my home and installed the new display. All this within two weeks. No down time for me. Exceptional service lifetime. And, the smoker/grill is amazing. Two in one. Best fathers day gift ever. Thanks Lifetime for being proactive and so easy to work with and for making great products.

I am very happy with the performance of the Lifetime Smoker Grill. As part of the team that works with the mobile apps for the Smoker Grill, I had not personally done any cooking during the development of it. Other teams did hundreds of hours of "test cooks" which had great results overall and helped to refine the innovative design. Since getting a Smoker Grill at home, my family and I have been pleasantly surprised by the ease of grilling and the variety of having added smoke flavors for the meats and veggies that we have cooked. We have mostly just used the pellet smoker for cooking, however, grilling at higher temps with the added smoke flavors has turned out really well. Personally, when grilling, I recommend using the gas to get the temp right and then turning on the HS (high smoke) mode about 5 minutes before putting the meats on. This produces a nice amount of smoke while grilling and really adds to the flavor. My favorite has been to just use the pellet smoker - Low and slow - to get the best results. Tonight I smoked chicken breasts without even flipping them. On another note - I never used my BBQ during the winter before getting the Lifetime Smoker Grill. With the mobile app and digital meat probes - I can monitor the progress of the cook from the warmth of the living room. Outdoor cooking is now year-round! Outdoor cooking has been changed forever for our family. I highly recommend this BBQ upgrade.

I’d never smoked before and this grill made it so simple to start and monitor it. The app allows you to see what’s currently going on and will notify you when you’ve reached your temperature for smoking and when your meat has reached your set finished temperature and then go into “warming mode”. I smoked a whole frozen chicken and pork ribs. Both were moist and delicious. This couldn’t have been an easier first time smoking experience. Once the ribs were done I turned two of the propane burners on and reversed seared them. I love that I have a smoker and propane grill all in one. Saves so much space without compromising The quality of either the smoker or the grill.

I've been a grill guy for decades and this is my first time into smoking. The Lifetime smoker grill combo is perfect for both! This is my first time smoking and I love it! Super easy to set the temps, the app works great so you don't have to babysit the smoker. The temps stay right in line even on a hot summer day or smoking in the cool evening. What's nice for me is I only need 1 appliance on my patio. No need for a smoker and separate grill. Highly recommend this!
