stacked washer - dryer that uses plenty of water
Posted On: October 25, 2023

Looking for stacked washer/dryer that uses plenty of water, enough that clothes actually swish around in the water like in old-school machines.(I am not and will not be convinced that low-water machines work just as well for *my needs*).

Question from user Altruistic_Squash_97 at Appliances at reddit.com.

Answer:

Unless your needs are clothes that come out less clean, Im not sure what you want here.

All front loaders these days will use significantly less water than a toploader, and the enzymes in detergent work better when the clothes are repeatedly pulled through a smaller amount of water, rather than just being sloshed around in a big bucket of water.

If you really want to use more water for no benefit, you can try avoiding any ECO mode.

This is kind of like asking for a car that uses more petrol per KM. No benefit, just more expensive and worse for the environment.
