TEC Appliance Error Codes
When they invented the infrared grill forty years ago, TEC Grills was in a league of its own. No other grill could get as hot as theirs for that perfect sear. But people grill more than steaks and burgers, so their engineers went back to the drawing board to fine tune their burners. Today, they’re in a league of our own for the opposite reason: no other infrared grill on the market is capable of turning down to an ultra-low 200°, the perfect temp for slow cooking a pork shoulder or smoking ribs. And they still hit that high high that drew you to infrared in the first place.
Gas Grill Error Codes
TEC (Infrared Grills) is a brand of gas grills that use infrared technology to cook food. Like many appliances, TEC grills may display error codes if there is a problem with the device. Some common TEC grill error codes include:
"E1". This error code typically indicates that the grill's temperature probe is not functioning properly.
"E2". This error code usually indicates that there is a problem with the grill's flame or gas supply.
"E3". This error code often indicates that the grill's internal temperature is too high.
"E4". This error code typically indicates that there is a problem with the grill's electronic control board.
"E5". This error code often indicates that the grill's thermocouple is not functioning properly.
It's worth to note that these codes may vary by model and region. Therefore, it is always recommended to check the user manual for the specific TEC grill model or contact TEC's customer service for more information. Also, please be aware that error codes are not a definitive diagnostic tool, it's possible that more than one cause could trigger the same code, therefore it's necessary to follow the manufacturer's instructions and troubleshoot the problem.

Guys, I have bought many small grills ranging from electric, propane, to charcoal. So far I would rate this grill No. 1. Easy to assemble, easy to use, well built, and most important to me - it allows just enough flareup to give burgers, steaks, etc. that delicious open grill taste without burning. If you are looking to grill a turkey or feed twenty people, this is not the grill you want. This is a very portable, small grill that does a wonderful job. If the small propane bottles turn you off, you can buy an adapter hose that will connect the grill to your regular propane bottle. Does it have any drawbacks? I'm a clean freak and I find this grill to be a little difficult to fully clean. However, having said that, it is important to recognize that all grill work best when they are "seasoned".
Perfect size and heat distribution. Cleans up easily. Down sized from the big grills years ago-too much hassle cleaning and taking up space. This grill looks shape too. Definitely recommend it.
This is a surprisingly great product in its ease of use, quality of materials, and nice extras like a visible temperature gauge prominently mounted on the cover. The ignition does not work consistently, but a a long probe lighter is always near by. My biggest gripe is with the product identification extra large sticker placed on the top of the grill. It can’t be left on because it would make a complete mess of the whole thing. It took my wife and me a good 25 minutes to get it off. Smoke Hollow has their head up their ass on sticker materials, glue thresholds, and where to put their stickers. Now that I vented, I want to close by saying that they make an awesome grill and that it’s an incredible value. They should lose the stickers
This grill works like a dream! It may be a tabletop grill but it cooks like a full-size grill. It heats evenly and the all stainless steel design makes for easy clean up. With it sitting on our folding, roll-out steel camping table, it is the perfect height for cooking with no risk of fire like you'd expect on a picnic table.
I have used this grill approximately 30 times now, and it's been more than great. The constitution is solid, it's lightweight, it gets hot very quickly, the temp control works flawlessly, and the heat distribution is very thorough. I'm very excited to plop it into the hatchback and take it on a weekend camping trip. Oh, and it cools down quite rapidly, so it can be stowed away within 15 minutes. The ONLY drawback I'm aware of is the ignitor. It is useless, and I do not recommend using it unless you enjoy burning the hair off your arms. Fortunately, there's a hole in the lower left hand side that allows you to stick a torch lighter in and ignite the grill that way. I think that's a very small flaw for such a great product. I am actually considering buying another in case this model is ever discontinued. Can't beat the price!
