We bought this 36”, 6 burner stove new From a local appliance store. We have had multiple calls to have repairs made. 4 times for gas leaks, not a great experience, 4 different occasions. We have had to have two igniters replaced. I also had to have some control unit replaced after a pot boiled over and shorted out this element. That cost us $849. Now with the oven never heating to the desired temperature, and servicemen saying there is nothing they could do, the oven just won’t work at all. The parts to repair it are$2650 without the service call and installation. We paid over $5,000 for this piece of crap. After contacting Thermador, they offered me $ 200 off on parts. A range is suppose to turn on heat up and bake, cook as needed. What a waste of money and terrible customer service! Don’t buy one!

My husband and I had been planning on renovating our kitchen for three years before beginning construction. We finally made the big move and gutted from floor to ceiling redoing lighting, flooring, sheetrock, every part of the kitchen. We chose Thermador appliances after visiting many appliance stores and talking to friends that have Thermador. Also, when you are purchasing all new appliances the appliance package is hard to pass up. We debated on getting Sub Zero/Wolf because it was only $3,000 more but in the end decided on Thermador 2018 Freedom Refrigerator and Freezer much to our dismay. We got our refrigerator first because both were on back order. Within the first 24 hours our refrigerator lights were not working properly and the unit switched off and on. We had to contact a repair person within the first day of having it. They replaced the main board at this time. We then finally received our freezer and again issues. Both appliances (2018 Freedom Refrigerator and Freezer) completely quit working within the first week. We are beyond frustrated and disappointed. The customer service at Thermador is terrible!!! I am wondering if anyone is having these issues and for anyone considering new appliances dont buy Thermador!!

Bought a large 60-inch dual range from Thermador. Very sleek and fits right in with the other appliances. Easy to clean and can handle any type of meal that you want to prepare. Pricier than your typical range but it very much well worth it. Can handle any job that you may have. Much more powerful than your typical range. Larger than your typical range so you have to take that into consideration. Can handle any type of meal that you are willing to cook. From slow cooking stews to faster cooking pizzas it can handle them just as well.

I purchased my complete set of Thermador appliances back in 2006 and installed them in my new kitchen in 2007. In August of this year 2014 the fridge/freezer stopped working and after 2 months of dealing with their customer support and technicians it still doesnt work. I had to purchase a used one off of Craigslist as a temporary just to get by. After several phone calls and much complaining they finally offered to replace it but only if I could show my original receipt/proof of purchase, which of course I can’t find and the dealer is out of business. To add insult to injury I had to pay them just under $900 for labor to have their unqualified technicians come out 4 times. If I ever see the salesperson that talked me into this stuff I think I will punch him in the nose.

Puchased my second set of Thermador appliances for a new apartment. The 36 Inch fridge with bottom freezer, came with a door does not close fridge overheats - so its turned off. This is NEW. Instead of giving me a new fridge, they have to repair. Also, after spending $26,000 on appliances you would think that the stainless steel used would match. Dishwasher stainless is glossy and rest of appliance stainless without shine; and it look pretty obvious. Customer service has nothing to say - they manufacture with different providers. What a waste of my money. I do not recommend this brand. Spend your money elsewhere.

Thermador SC302T Double built-in ovens. - There have to be the worst appliances for parts availability, reliability and service. You pay Cadillac prices and end up with Yugo reliability. Although the oven is now 12 years old, during this time, it has been nothing but trouble. After the first year, the display started to fade until it was gone. Clearly, someone decided to save 1/10 of a cent per oven by using poor tolerance capacitors in a hot environment. Hey, they made an extra cent, and the customer had to pay 125 dollars for the part and a couple of hundred for a service call. Fast forward two years, same story. The second unit died a couple of years later. By this time, there were no replacements, so I sat with a dark screen for a couple of years. Some time, Thermador changed hands and BSH started making the displays, AND control panel as a unit for 450 dollars. The upper oven temperature was failing, due to the temperature control module. I purchased the board and control, and made the replacement myself. Im sure that in another 2 years, it will need to be replaced again by which time I suspect the parts will be obsolete and unavailable.

We have repeated failures of the blower motors on our oven. If the oven senses that either fan isnt spinning at nominal speed, the oven shuts down. Its a $500 bill every time one of the motors goes out ($300 service plus $200 for the part). The first went out barely a year after we bought the oven. The next went out later the same year. Barely a year later and one of the replacements is failing. Replacing the fan involves pulling the oven from the wall, no easy feat for the do-it-yourselfer.Note that sometimes a reset will work, at least temporarily. Thermador doesnt make the reset easy. You have to cut off power at the circuit breakers, turn power back on, then do the programming for date and time. Very frustrating if you have to do this several times hoping that fan will spin a bit faster on the next go around.

After reading all the reviews of others who were also misinformed as I in thinking that buying an overpriced Thermador appliance would be providing me with at least a reliable product and some form of customer service. This confirms that Thermador is not all that it thinks it is. I also attempted via email to contact the CEO of Thermador. I have wrote several emails/letter to Customer Service and its like I dont exist. My Freezer/Fridge unit was purchased 2017 and within a month I has calling for a repair and it has been ongoing issue. I have to treat my $10,000 freezer as if owned a 1920 ice box freezer and manually remove everything and chip out the built up ice. This is the sacrifice I need to do so that I can maybe enjoy ice when it decides to produce some. Thermador has decide to abandoned their customers so we can make sure that we can share our experience with as many Thermador potential customers and save them from also being mislead. Word of mouth (internet/social media) is very effective. I am very interested in starting a Class Act Suit against Thermador. **

Buy any other brand other than Thermador for refrigeration! Fortunately we only purchased the under counter drawers but 2 motherboards have been replaced and it still is pinging 3 times every time the compressor goes on. First problem- the drawers just stopped cooling - first motherboard replacement after 4 months of waiting for them. Second problem- the pinging that happens when you accidentally leave the doors ajar, once it went off, it would not stop even though closed. Motherboard #2 replaced and the control panel after 3 weeks of waiting. Repair guy left, and now it is still pinging 3 times when the compressor goes on. What a friggin nightmare for $6000 bucks. Should have bought a sub zero or any other brand. This thing is a lemon, and going out of warranty soon- would never buy a Thermador again! A company that does not understand how to do refrigeration has no business selling them.

Thermador 48 double oven ,4 burner, grill and griddle - We remodeled our kitchen in 2005, and I purchased what I thought was the best cooking appliance available. I was sadly mistaken. The small left side oven no longer works properly and can only be used as a warming drawer. The temperature will no longer go above 120 degrees. The part needed to repair this I am told is $900 plus labor. I doubt if I have used this oven more than 25 times since it was installed. I’m very dissatisfied since the oven we replaced (not Thermador) had worked perfectly since 1986.

We purchased Thermador thinking it was a high-end model. After 10 years, over the last 6 months our Cooktop and Convection oven (Model SC302TS) have gone bad. In both cases we have been told the replacement parts are no longer available. I would definitely not recommend Thermador products. When I spoke to their customer support, this seemed to be consistent with their strategy/philosophy, to not carry replacement parts for greater than 5-10 years.

This combination steam oven unit is a wonderful idea with a terrible implementation. We have now had a repair person (from Mr. Appliance, who is AMAZING!!) come out 5 times; 4 times to do something about the leaking steam oven. They even had him replace the water bottle because the original design was faulty, but it still leaks. After using the unit about 20 minutes, water leaks out the bottom of the oven and drips onto the control panel of the warming drawer, which then shorts out. They have had to replace the control panel on the warming drawer twice. I called Thermador again to get the unit replaced. I had to send my original sales receipt (even though they already have it because I registered the product right after it was installed) and technician invoices from the repairs (even though the repair technician calls them every time to get their help to resolve the problem). After a couple of days, I get an email back saying they have made a decision, but they cannot relay the results of their decision via phone or email, so I call customer service and have to wait in the regular queue...after finally getting someone, I am told there is nothing in the file. I read her the email that was sent, she put me on hold again for probably at least 5 minutes and came back saying they made a decision that the unit works properly; even after I submitted the diagnosis from the repair tech showing that the unit is not working. The technician was out again today and took pictures and sent them to Thermador to hopefully get this unit replaced. After spending 28 minutes on the phone, I learned that they were not going to honor their warranty based on my request and now that the technician sent them pictures, it was being escalated to management for a review. The customer service person told me it would be another 24-48 hours until they make a decision. Will update when we hear.

We have purchased a house with 5-year old all Thermador top of the line appliances. The refrigerator had a chronic problem with the ice and water dispenser leaking and not working adequately on any level. I called Thermador, and they recommended their local factory certified technician. He has made one repair with no results. The second repair involved replacing the door on the dispensers, as well as the optical sensors, with no change in results. I called Thermador and received a rude and uncooperative attendant, who refused to transfer me to a supervisor or give me information as to how to contact the service manager. I say, if you are in the luxury item market, you need to have that level of customer service. I think either a class action suit or a social media storm should get Thermador’s attention. Also, remember to research a company service record before purchasing anything.

When we renovated our kitchen 6 years ago we got all Thermador appliances. The dishwasher has since been replaced (after 4 years and over $1,500 in repairs that lead to nothing), the double ovens work but I cannot read the digital display that shows the time or timer. This has never worked since day one and no matter what the technician tried to do, it didnt fix the problem that area just flashes. My favorite (tongue in check) appliance by far is the fridge. After about 8 months the left door suddenly wouldnt close. We discovered the plastic sleeve that rolls in when closing and out when opening kept buckling and we would have to smooth it over with our hands in order to close the door. Try having anyone under 5 feet do that every time they open the fridge door. This has been repaired 4 times. Presently, the door does not shut again, the fridge turns off every night so we wake to a warm fridge and turns itself back on once we start opening the doors in the morning. The ice maker also stopped working last week. Technician is coming today. I cannot tell you how excited I am to hear what will need to be done and the cost to start the process to fix the problems. If history repeats itself, I will spend a few thousand dollars trying to repair what is wrong, only to discover that I will need to spend more money to try other fixes... since the ones we have done are not working. If you are thinking about buying a Thermador... DO NOT DO IT. Unless you are the kind of person that enjoys throwing money out the window and dealing with a service department that loses interest in you the second you buy their product.

This oven has malfunctioned since the day it was installed. It doesn’t heat to the right temperature, it doesn’t maintain the right temperature and nothing ever cooks inside. When using the top oven simultaneously with the bottom oven, the bottom oven automatically cools down. It was finally replaced with a new one and the new one does the same thing. I have had a very disappointing experience with Thermador and apart from keeping an induction cooktop since my granite was already cut! I returned all of my other Thermador items. The dishwasher (included in a buy +2 appliance package) independently measured as high as 70dBA vs. the advertised 48dBA. The 30 micro/oven wall combination came (twice) with a misaligned oven door. It was confirmed to me, after the fact, by a Thermador customer service person that Thermador is actually shipping ovens with a known defect that supposedly has an easy fix of replacement hinges. The issue is that NO ONE seems to know this! Not the Tech nor the appliance store. So +7 hours and 3 technician visits later (with minimum of 2 weeks between visits as I as told there are ONLY 2 techs that service the entire Austin, TX metro area). I am done with Thermador. I live in fear that should I have ever have a maintenance issue with the induction cooktop I have a 50% chance of getting the technician that was rude, condescending to me, my contractor, my designer and carpenter. So let me get this straight -- THERMADOR, you want me to pay top $$$ for your appliances. Chances are they may arrive defective. No one will know how to fix them (who wants a new $5000 appliance to need to be fixed anyway?) and on yeah, have to wait +2 weeks for a technician to come into my home and insult me. It doesnt get any worse than that. Thermador if you are reading this - shame on you!!! Perhaps you need to take a page from the KitchenAid playbook on how to treat your customers that are spending a ton of money on your over-hyped products.

We just replaced a 15 year old Thermador Professional gas range and oven with a new 36” Thermador Professional 366 range and oven. About $10,000 invested with installation. Most disappointed on delivery to find new oven door quite dirty in between the glass windows. Also oven temperature about 60-70 degrees hotter than the dial setting. The worst, however, is that a new oven rack that was soaked in water for about 6-7 hours to remove some baked on cheese has started to rust. Obviously there is no quality control at factory and cheap materials are used for components. We have had two Wolf range/ovens and have been most happy with them. I would strongly recommend anyone looking for a top of line range/oven forget about the Thermador line.

I bought a $4000 professional 36 oven/stove. The power outage just fried the circuit board. This was the only time a power outage has ever damaged anything we own. Their response was to call service department if power cycling for 15 minutes doesnt do anything. Then to talk to the power company about fixing the issue with power (like they can control weather). Replacement part of oven sensor no longer available which makes the double ovens non-operational when it senses a problem that usually does not exist. All other parts of the oven work and it is poor customer service to leave a total replacement as the only option. Built-in oven replacements amount to thousands of dollars. We purchased a Thermador freezer expecting it to be an outstanding product. We have had nothing but problems with it and it finally completely shut down at the beginning of August. It is now October first and weve literally waited eight weeks and the freezer is still not repaired. We used an approved repair company and frankly weve heard everything from the part was on back-order to the wrong part has been sent. Ive now taken multiple days off of work to wait for the repair man who never shows up. The indifference is astounding and Im still without a working freezer.

I purchased this Thermador oven in Dec. 2005. On Thursday, Nov. 20th, my oven just stopped working. Wording in Red flashed across the panel F-24 Refer to Manual. My Thermador manual shows the reason for F-24/25 appearing means someone leaned against this panel for over sixty seconds. Ive never seen this before. We followed the directions to correct. Nothing happened. I called the Thermador Service ph#. Thermador sent a Technician Monday, Nov. 24th. This Thermador Technician said my manual is wrong, and the problem is the Cooling Fan broke. Then, Im informed it will be Dec. 11th, before this part is in. This is a part Thermador makes! I have a turkey in the fridge for Thanksgiving this week. I called Thermador today, and the person sounded she didnt want to speak to anyone. Very rude.

I purchased a pro style Thermador range/oven in 2008. It worked 2 years. Beginning in 2010, Ive replaced the ignitor every year, at a cost of almost $400. I expected this range to work since I paid about 10 times more than I would have for an average range. I will never buy another Thermador ANYTHING. The company that services the oven does excellent work. Its not them. Its THERMADOR.

I have a Thermador double oven and warmer. In the past year, I have replaced the display, hinges, seal for over $1500. The oven display keeps losing the time. When my repair company, Complete Appliance, call customer service, they get no satisfactory answer as to why this is happening. They are frustrated and I am frustrated. I am building a new home and will not be using Thermador! If I were told from the beginning this cannot be fixed, I would have gotten a new oven. Instead I was told, Just replace this and the problem would be fixed. Thermador does not care about their customers once their product has been purchased. Shame on Thermador!

Spent over $27,125.00 on Thermador appliances. 48 range knobs were very loose and oven temp was not working. It was on 350 but the oven would only slightly warm. Got a new thermostat knob yet the oven does not heat up accurately. Smaller oven to this day still does not work properly. Bake means broil!! We can never get a correct temp. And for the first 5 mins it broils no matter what temp you are on. Fridge/freezer side by side was delivered with broken wheels. Ice machine has broken twice - Went months without ice. Drawers have broken. Now our dishwasher on the outside panel has RUSTED. How does stainless steel rust? The whole front is brown. We sent pics in and complained. Oh but you only have 30 days on cosmetics. Buy this cleaner... Customer Service is disgraceful. They dont care at all - I want a Thermador sales rep in my house NOW! Shame on you Thermador. You have no customer service loyalty. You took my money and wont help anyone by the looks of things, not just me. Be warned. Dont buy Thermador, I am sick over this...

Almost immediately after buying our Thermador double wall oven, the top unit stopped working. We insisted on replacement rather than repair. A year later, again the top unit stopped working. It would not hold the temperature. Eventually we replaced the motherboard--very costly. Within a year, BOTH units stopped working. Sometimes a unit will heat but not hold the heat. Sometimes it will not heat at all.

We have a broken Wall unit (combo of microwave+oven+hot drawer) that is ~2.5 years old. We got the unit from Karls Appliances in Fairfield NJ and Wendy ** was the sales rep. We have had number of issues with several appliances that we ordered from Thermador. First, the double drawer fridge stopped working in 1.5 years or less and had to be completely replaced. Then, the second most expensive appliance of wall unit (combo of microwave+oven+hot drawer) developed a problem just a few months past 2 years of purchase. The microwave stopped working and started giving errors. We didn’t expect this kind of quality of appliances from Thermador. Thermador provides warranty for 2 years and having the appliances fail just a little more than 2 years makes their quality inferior compared to the other brands out there. We used Thermador website to call George appliances and the person they send had no clue about the error nor how to even handle the trim of the microwave. We ended up paying the service call but with nothing in return. On top of that, we got quoted by George’s appliance for $1000 just to fix the microwave. This is a complete rip off by Thermador and their registered appliance repair shops. Thermador quality of appliances has been suspect in the last few years that we have used their appliances and even after buying expensive products, their products fail just as soon as the warranty expire. I wouldn’t recommend buying from Thermador or Karls appliances and definitely not calling George appliances.

No techs in Vermont are even returning calls, the store I brought it from says Thermador responds to customers. Not them. We purchased a suite of Thermador appliances when we built our new home in Autumn of 2011. This is the THIRD ignition we have had to repair. We were told not to use the self-cleaning option because it causes burnout to the ignition. We have not used it but again the ignitor will not light the convection oven, which is the large side. We bought the oven because we like to entertain and nothing is worse than having a house full of people for dinner and the oven just wont light. The store where we purchased the range says go back to Thermador. Thermador says it is not longer under warranty. Very unsatisfied to have spent such a large amount on an appliance to have it unreliable. Will never buy another Bosch product nor will I recommend to anyone.

We are really impressed with our new dishwasher! It is well designed in many ways. Our old DW had a small third top rack, like this one, but the rack in the old one was too shallow to hold things like our frying pan spatula and was fairly useless. This rack holds those utensils nicely and has a super silverware holder built in, so we removed the silverware holder from the lower rack, which makes more room in the lowest rack. Which brings me to another impressive feature. This dishwasher holds a LOT of dishes! The slots are very close together, which made me wonder if there was enough room for the dishes to get clean, but it does a great job of cleaning, even though I follow their recommendation and do NOT rinse my dishes. If you worry about odors like I did, when you shut the door, it REALLY closes tight, so the dirty dishes do not smell up the kitchen. As a final note, the cycle is quick, and the default energy-saving drying works so well that even the bottoms of my coffee mugs, which always used to have a small amount of water that I had to dry by hand , come out completely dry.

Just read about the experience of another consumer of thermador oven appliance. I had the same experience about 6 years ago with my relatively new thermador wall oven (MEDES/01). During a cleaning cycle, the bottom oven glass completely shattered. Could have been dangerous if I had been nearby. Shame on Thermador for not fixing this problem! Otherwise the oven has been good, even if a bit confusing at times to use due to the electronic panel (which also had to be replaced early on). Now after about 6 years, the lower oven heating element has stopped working, so I have called a local repair company. No problems with my Thermador warming oven! I love it!

This is an amazing refrigerator! We have had it for about 15 months now and absolutely love it. One caveat: You must defrost the automatic ice maker periodically or it will freeze up and stop working. It is very easy. My thermostat went out in my larger oven and I struggled to get it fixed as the self-cleaning feature was based on a mercury-based system and that was determined illegal prior to my range malfunction. So, no one initially wanted to help me in Customer Service. My original guy was super rude. My local contractor was frustrated as the parts sent were wrong two times.Ironically, after Mister rude customer service man and a follow up call by me, I got a lot of support from Thermador as I guess they do listen to the customer service calls. My contact at Thermador alleviated the cost of the new thermostat that was legal without mercury. Yes, I gave up my self-cleaning forever, a bummer. My local contractor came out several times to get it right. I wasnt the nicest about it as I was so frustrated to spend around $8000 for an appliance and hood and just 9 years in, they said it was obsolete and had no warranty. End of the day, in 2011, after the repair before Thanksgiving, it didnt get to temperature again. Turkey was ruined. The local service came and did one more fix after reconnecting with Thermador and discovered they sent the wrong repair information, final repair was in December 2011. Ever since then, cooking is going great. Knowing I could put in my turkey last Thursday and knowing it would be perfect, which it was, was awesome. I feel like I got my 75% of original purchase back(!) less the self-cleaning. Thanks for monitoring mean customer service reps and being pro active! Please forward this to my local repair company. I think it was All-Service in Bellevue. Thanks.

It is impossible to cook with. Thermador was no help. In fact they stated that I would have to replace the whole unit as they are not separate units. So, instead of spending $1600 to replace the oven, I would have to spend $6500 to replace the whole unit even though the micro & warming drawer do work. Bought Thermador gas oven, hood and dishwasher last December. I will never ever again buy Thermador and sister brands (Bosch, Wolf) nor will I recommend to anyone. Totally junk quality appliances. In the first week, they had to come back to service the dishwasher as all the settings were on max and melted a bunch of plastic containers. Then the oven - the paint started chipping off the burner tray. Tech came and replaced that. Then the exhaust fan in the hood started making very loud noises and the tech came again, said the fan has to be replaced (luckily under warranty) but no sign of the fan in six weeks. Called them again and again and it is backordered! For a supposedly top of the line appliances, their customer service is atrocious - very indifferent attitude. They are not allowed to make follow-up calls so you have to keep checking. By the way, their parts are outsourced as is their technical service. Pure garbage. Thermador is made by Bosch so I imagine that Thermador, Bosch and Wolf are all equally crappy. Bought the entire set up late December and still everything not functional! Unreal! Too bad in NJ there is no lemon law for pricey appliances. Sorry there is nothing less than one star in the review category.

Thermador double oven ME302JS, Refrigerator T36BB810SS - We purchased a suite of appliances including a fridge, range top, double oven, and dishwasher. The double ovens function just fine. However they buzz very, very loudly. Service has been to our house four times to either diagnose or attempt a repair to no avail. The service techs have been pleasant to work with and I appreciate their efforts as they have expressed genuine frustration. They have also expressed frustration with Bosch as they havent been helpful to find a solution. The fridge suffers from a slow ice maker. After 24 hrs, the bin is only about two inches deep of ice. The motor was replaced, no success. Bosch told the techs to lower the temp from zero to -4. That didnt work either. The techs have asked for further help from a Bosch area rep on both issues but they havent been forthcoming. Ive also sought help from the store who sold us the appliances. They forwarded my video of the noise to Bosch personnel, but they havent responded either. My patience has run out. If Bosch was responsive and helpful with a solution, this review would be more positive.

We had a Thermador double oven in our old house, dont remember the model number, purchased in about 2000. About 4 years into ownership we began to get fault codes. Cycling the power would restore operation but the problem became more frequent. Thermador were non-responsive to be polite about it. Im an electronics hobbyist so I pulled the circuit boards out myself. I found that they used a significant number of electrolytic capacitors. These are heat sensitive devices with a specified lifetime. I checked and found that 80% of the electrolytic capacitors were at end of life, displaying either a high esr or low capacitance or both. I replaced the capacitors with higher temperature rated and higher quality ones at a total cost of $15. Problems solved and unit was working well when we sold the house about 5 years ago. The local appliance repair shop wanted north of $500 to visit and replace the boards, no prizes for guessing what I told them.We purchased, maybe regretfully, a new model double oven Thermador for our new house that we moved into 5 years ago. Yeah, I know doing the same thing and expecting different results etc. It is now Christmas Eve and the oven has had to be re-started twice so far. Hopefully it will hang on and produce Christmas dinner before totally crapping out. I will then get into the guts and Ill bet every Christmas cracker in the house that I find the same issue as the previous model.I will not even bother contacting Thermador. What gets my goat is that if Thermador were to install higher temperature rated and better quality capacitors in the first place then a ten year life would be likely achievable. The cost, with their bulk purchasing power, would be probably less than $5 per oven. Ill lay another bet that their cost accountants are a part of the problem, shaving cents here and there and seriously compromising what, for the price, should be a rolls Royce oven.Tip for all, if the oven starts to exhibit strange behavior find a friend who is competent with electronics. He can probably fix it for you for a bottle of his favorite tipple and a few electrolytic capacitors at a cost of less than $20. Thermador, shame on you. Cheap electrolytic capacitors, poor thermal design and a ‘couldnt care less’ service attitude. I know I have the receipt for the current oven somewhere in my files, purchased from Trail appliances along with a five ring Wolf gas range top, Wolf wok burner, Wolf 60 inch external fan hood and a Bosch dishwasher. Just not going to go looking for it right now.

Leaking Brand New Thermador 36-Inch Built-In Refrigerator (KI KBM36US). Model Number: T361B900SP/09. FD: 9812. Serial Number: 100481. We moved into a new condominium in September 2020 with brand new high-end Thermador appliances which we paid a high premium for. We adored the brand and its sleek design. Unfortunately, the Thermador refrigerator has been nothing but a nightmare for us. January 2021: It stopped cooling and became warm inside after barely 4 months of use. Feb 2, 2021: We created a ticket with our building management and the breaker was reset. Feb 9, 2021: The refrigerator was still not cooling so a service call was placed with Thermador. We were told that they are not on-site so we have to wait for an ETA but no one followed up. Feb 16, 2021: An urgent service call to Thermador. Feb 24, 2021: We were informed that a Thermador technician won’t be able to come until March 11 since they were so backed up. March 18, 2021: A Thermador technician finally came. He replaced the inverter board then quickly fled by saying “it’s fixed but takes a few hours to lower the temperature....” He never returned for follow up.April 2021: It is still not cooling. May 5, 2021: Second Thermador technician came and we were told that a new compressor is needed after he inspected the unit. We have to wait for the replacement part to arrive before they return. May 17, 2021: Third Thermador technician came back with a new compressor but he noticed a complete leak of refrigerant, which he determined to be the culprit (which probably makes sense since this refrigerator never worked in 2021 despite having reset and changed parts). We were told that we will likely be without a refrigerator for three months and repairing the fridge would take even longer till September. The technician did put in a request that the refrigerator be replaced as the leak is apparently in a difficult area to try to fix so no guarantee of functionality even after the repair in September. Both I and my wife have complex medical conditions requiring a modified diet but without a functional refrigerator for the last five months, we have largely relied on take-out three meals daily. As a result, our blood pressure and blood sugar have been significantly elevated during our last medical check-up. I am also on injectable insulin requiring refrigeration. I have relied on a small old refrigerator I borrowed since the Thermador malfunctioned in January and I am so worried that it will fail and ruin all my medications. We understand the delay related to the pandemic and we have been more than patient through the long daunting process. However, the service from Thermador has been completely incompetent and neglective, resulting in much hardship for our daily life, medical and mental health. It is absolutely unacceptable at this point and we request Thermador to replace the refrigerator as soon as possible!

We purchased a Thermador oven 2 years ago and it hasnt been working properly from the very beginning. We have gotten gas smell coming from the oven. Thermador has either come out to fix it or sent a subcontractor to fix it now 3 times. Each time the technicians instruments register an of gas. The technicians suggestions range from altering the settings inside to replacing parts to replacing the oven door. It originally took 3 attempts to install it properly. When first being installed, the hood was attached partially to my ceiling but the installers informed me that it wasnt their job to install the exhaust hood. Why would I need to contact Thermador specifically to have the hood installed, when I obviously purchased both? Last week I noticed the gas smell again as I was cooking bacon in the oven. I took the bacon out and clearly half the bacon was cooked and the other half was very underdone. The next day was Thanksgiving and the same happened with the turkey. I took photos, one leg was still bloody and rawish looking while the other leg was completely done. Plus there was a strong gas odor so I know something wasnt igniting in the oven again. This has been going on since we purchased the oven. I called technical support and they informed me they couldnt get a repair person out until January, and its November right now. The thing has never worked properly, they have some nerve telling me they cant come out and fix it until January. So they gave me the number of the subcontractor they refer people to and I called them several days ago. I had to leave a message. The next day I received a call that my information would be sent to the technician who would call me to schedule and I have not as of yet heard back, 3 days later. I will absolutely never deal with this company again.

We have no faith in the products and were forced to buy an extended warranty that cost over $1,000.00 when the warranty expired. Youve been warned and hopefully you did you due diligence before buying these appliances - regretfully I did not.

Biggest mistake ever. I bought a Thermador 38 range for $8,000.00 in 2002 and have been repairing it ever since. First the overhead lights quit working. Then the knobs starting falling off. The main oven has never held even heating and now Thermador tells me they have discontinued the parts I need to repair the oven. Thermador, Bosch, Gaggenau are all the same company. Avoid them at all costs. Get a Wolfe. My parents Wolfe is still working perfectly after 40 years. Thermador: biggest mistake ever.

We purchased a Thermador Pro Grand 60 Range on 4/25/2019 from Ferguson Appliance, 3201 Powell Ave, Nashville, TN 37204. We experienced our first service issue within 6 months and the problems have persisted. Thermador refuses replace the range and continues to put us through misery to maintain this $20,000 appliance. Repair Issue #1 – 10/17/19• Door Gasket on Steam Oven Failed Repair Issue #2– 4/20/20• Stainless steel borders (sides and front) became discolored and pitted. Thermador replaced. Repair Issue #3 – 1/12/21 through 1/26/21 • Complete failure of internal electronic components. • All electronic boards had to be replaced over multiple service calls.• Top griddle warped and had to be replaced. Repair Issue#4 - 3/9/21• Warming drawer display module failed. Still not repaired. Repair Issue #5 – 4/15/21• Rear fans making growling noise. Still not addressed. All warranty work to date has been conducted by Huff Appliance, 1314 Woodland Street, Nashville, TN 37206. Phone (615) 226-2080. On 4/15/21 Huff Appliance stated, “This unit has so many issues that in my opinion this unit is unrepairable.” On 4/26/21 Thermador requested additional information of Huff Appliance on all issues to decide on if they will replace the unit. This process has grown increasingly frustrating, given Thermador has a detailed service record of the repairs which they (Thermador) authorized to date. Our warranty (2 years) has now officially expired, and it appears Thermador is attempting to wash their hands of this issue. We purchased this appliance for daily use and entertaining. Parts have taken weeks and months to arrive. During much of our ownership over two years it has been non-operational (and still is). We understand that given COVID, parts may take longer. Given this was a new unit we should have not been put in this situation. We have zero confidence this unit will not break down again due to its performance history. My wife had double hip replacement surgery 10 days ago and Thermador called this morning telling us they want to send another service agent to our home. Unfortunately we are at a point where we will need to get attorneys involved. Avoid this company at all costs, their customer service is terrible.

We purchased Thermador appliances in 2007 thinking we were getting top of the line units. Instead, we have had unbelievable problems with the electronic oven, model ME301/ES. Every time there is even a slight momentary pause in power, the control panel must be reset. This is a lengthy process calling for the month, day, year, time, etc. Often, the reset process does not work and the power supply breaker switch must be flipped and reactivated in order to reset the oven panel. There is also a message which travels across the electronic screen providing a number to call. When called, you reach a travel agency! We paid very high dollar for this unit and Thermadors response is totally inadequate. There is obviously something faulty with the design of this unit and it should be the response of the manufacturer to correct it! Im very angry about this!

Were on our second Thermador. The first one died several Thanksgivings ago, after several repairs in its first year. After much complaining to Thermador corporate, they agreed to sell us a new oven at a steep discount. I was sick of dealing with this thing, so I went for it. The discount was not steep enough, as now the new one isnt working either. The oven wont turn on. The fan comes on, we smell gas, but no heat (oh, and the light has been stuck on since a few weeks after purchase and the stove top burners have a habit of randomly firing the igniters, even when the stove is off). Absolute piece of crap! We were fooled by the neat looking speedometer thermometer, but you shouldnt be. These stoves suck, steer clear!

Weve owned our oven for over 10 years. Ive loved using this Thermador oven. Two years ago, the oven would beep continuously after its turned off. The only way to sop it was to literally pull the electric switch to the oven on the outside of the house. Weve had many repairs... new control panel, oven hinges, new seals, more tech repair visits, you name it. Nothing has stopped this beeping. Evidentially, the oven heats up and hit the panel sensors somehow and the beeping begins! Im frustrated and disappointed in Thermador. Customer service acts as though Im the only person this is happening to. Shame on them! As much as I loved this ovens capabilities, I have to say that Ill never purchase a Thermador again!

The Freezer, the Ice maker never work, they replaced parts still didnt work. Thermador was reluctant to replace or to fix. The dishwasher the cycle times are extremely long. I called Thermador and the customer rep came and told us that the company has not bothered to correct the. Do not buy dishwasher, freezer and microwave. I purchased a Thermador fridge/freezer double gas oven, cooktop and dishwasher. At the 4 yr mark the double oven fried the circ board. I replaced it with another brand. The refrigerator lost the freezer part at 5 yrs. I paid the service company they sent out to replace compressor, lines. Took 3 weeks to fix. 3 months later it goes again. 1 week out for a service. He comes today and says theres a contaminate? Or blocked line? I said, Well lets evacuate and recharge it?? He did and the door wouldnt close. I mentioned it and was told oh when the freezer reaches temp the door will suction close?? Ok the door doesnt close and the light is on. I called service again. No clue if its going to reach temp because the door doesnt close. Ive lost all the food in the freezer twice now. And waiting a week for a tech is absurd. No clue if its fixed but now the door doesnt work.

I don’t think I have ever written a review until now. I am just heartbroken. We spent $30k on a Thermador appliance package two years ago and have had so many issues! I am an avid cook and baker and also teach cooking classes in my home kitchen. I was so excited to install these gorgeous appliances into my kitchen even though it was a huge sacrifice for our budget. We bought the 4 burner with electric griddle cooktop, the built-in fridge and freezer, the double ovens, dishwasher and range hood. Our kitchen is gorgeous but that’s where the excitement stops. We have had multiple repairman to our house to try and fix our appliances with no results. Our burners on the cooktop don’t get very hot so it takes over 20 minutes to boil a pot of water. I can not can or even sear meat on on my stovetop which is a huge letdown. I have had two repairman and the gas company all out to look at it and they are perplexed and say there is nothing wrong with the installation or the gas line, that’s just how the stove cooks. Meanwhile our crazy expensive freezer has stopped producing ice and water and is leaking from somewhere and completely ruining our hardwood floors we installed during our remodel. They are built-in so you can’t just pull them out and find the problem, you have to wait for a professional. I live near a big city and there are only 2 repair places in our area. We have been waiting for over a month and the problem is still not fixed. The part is on backorder so meanwhile, our floor continues to warp and is now sleeping into our cabinetry. I just want to cry. I had such high expectations for these beautiful appliances and to say we have been “let down” is a complete understatement. Please spare yourself the frustration and disappointment and look elsewhere for your professional appliances.

Great if they work-HORRIBLE SERVICE IF THEY DONT. I recently purchased 33k worth of Thermador appliances from Ferguson. I took delivery of the appliances and just had the 12k+ range installed. I am in the middle of my move and eager to be settled. It is defective and I tried calling your service line. After being on hold over 25 minutes Teresa answered the line and was brusque in manner. She informed me that I could wait until September 22 for service. That is quite a distance away, so I asked for an alternative. She said I could call one other authorized service technician in the Los Angeles area that is permitted to service your brand. I am unfamiliar with this process so I asked if it is I that would call, and if your company would be taking care of the payment, and she replied “if you would let me finish I would tell you”. I was merely asking about the process. SO rude. I thought you were meant to be a luxury brand.Certainly your call center missed the service piece of that experience. I said that I was “trying to get clear about the process and that she needn’t be rude about it- that I was unfamiliar with this process as I had not done it before”. Teresa curtly answered that if I didn’t like her manner that she would turn me over to another agent and before I could protest she promptly hung up on me. I am frankly appalled and I plan on putting this company on blast all over the internet for the lack of service, and ridiculous treatment.I have an expensive product that is defective, am in the middle of a move, and am merely trying to get something fixed. Now I have to spend additional hours chasing this down while working full time and attending to various other obligations. I would hope to get some assistance. Our home came w/a Thermador three piece microwave, warming drawer, and wall oven. The home is now 10 years old and the microwave has stopped working on the three piece unit. I was shocked to learn that you have to replace the entire unit for nearly $6,000 because they no longer make replacement parts. The rep on the phone was nice but explained that in order to keep up w/ technology they dont make replacement parts for things like microwaves. I guess when you buy a Thermador you should remember that it is unlikely you will get replacement parts and if you buy a three piece unit you will need to replace the entire thing if one component breaks. The rep seemed surprised that I would be upset about this... I guess they really only expect their products to last up to 10 years. That isnt very long for such an expensive high-end product. No more Thermadors for me or the new home I am building. Will call the appliance store and change my order stat!

Since Thanksgiving Eve our 7 year old wall oven SDC302ZS has been showing error codes and dying at all the inopportune times. I dont use the oven all that frequently, maybe twice a week, so its very disappointing to think it may be dying after 7 years of light usage. When it was working in the past, I was very satisfied with its options and convection performances. I would like to ask Michael who wrote a Dec. 24, 2014 review, where he purchased the electronic part that failed, since his description of what failed on his oven sounds exactly like what were going through. I cant afford a $500 repair bill for a $5 part, but think my handyman could handle the repair if I provide the part.

The large oven kept shutting off and the door doesnt shut. Resetting the breaker appeared to fix it, but didnt. Repairman came out and replaced the main board and relay board for $600. Now the large oven works, but the light does not go off in the large oven, and the fan runs continuously after using the small oven until you shut off the breaker. The repairman does not know why. He also informed me that Thermador no longer makes hinges for the large door, so I need to replace the entire door for $1200. Also charged $200 to replace the switch panel on the vent hood, which he was certain would fix the halogen lights. It didnt. Is anyone aware of a class action suit? The process of getting it serviced has been a nightmare. Thermador, through Bosch, has been unresponsive, inflexible, and unwilling to resolve quickly. I purchased more than $20,000 worth of Thermador appliances in 2007 for a whole kitchen remodel. Fortunately, I also purchased an extended warranty as well. The oven was installed in June 2007. The first problem within the first week was when the ignitor for large oven was not working properly, and nearly made the oven explode. Since that time, I have had over 10 service calls for the same problem. The large and small ovens are not working, and the x-lo burners are not working, or not cycling off and on as well. I have had ignitors replaced, and control boards replaced, numerous times (ignitor gap adjustments, etc.), all to no avail. It works for two or three months, then stops working altogether. This was my third ruined Thanksgiving dinner. I told Maytag (the extended warranty company) that I wanted a replacement oven. They pretty much laughed at me. Unless the same item has been replaced three times within a calendar year, they will not replace it,and theyll only fix it. At this point, after reading all of these complaints, I dont think it would do me much good to get a new one, because they apparently only make junk, which will obviously not work anyway. Not what I had hoped for, out of an $8,000.00 stove. I placed a complaint with the BBB, but there were already four on there that had not been responded to by Thermador. What a surprise. I can not believe that this company is getting away with this. Isnt there a law against knowingly selling faulty equipment? Buyers beware! Now, I am stuck with an oven that cost as much as a used car, and I will have to continue to pay for an extended warranty, just so I dont get stuck with the bi-monthly repair bills.

The ovens in my 48 Thermador Range are garbage. For years I have had problems with the larger oven not heating to the proper temperature (getting up to 250 degrees regardless of where the temperature is set). The motherboard had to be replaced but it still hasnt worked properly. Its hit or miss when I turn it on to see if it will get past 250 degrees. Recently the smaller oven went out completely. Over eight hundred dollars in repairs later, the small oven now acts like the large oven and it is hit or miss to see if it will get up to the proper temperature. It seems to work better if I turn the larger oven on at the same time. Its absolutely unacceptable that there are so many complaints with this company. I will NEVER again purchase anything from Thermador. Now my dilemma is whether to continue to invest money in repairs or just chuck the whole thing and go with another brand. We purchased a Thermador built-in refrigerator in 2006. Last month it stopped working and we were told the heat exchange had given out. After waiting 3 weeks for parts from Thermador, the service man found while repairing it that water had gotten into the heat exchange. When he called Thermador and spoke with Bart, he was told the only thing to do was to attempt to blow the water out with nitrogen. When the repairman said this wouldnt work, he was told there was no other option. Since neither Thermador nor the repair service will guarantee this will work for longer than a year at most, there is no point in getting it repaired. ProGrand oven and range - My wife and I bought this range that was a dream
ProGrand oven and range - My wife and I bought this range that was a dream of my wifes, which now has turned out to be her worst NIGHTMARE!!!!!!!!! We had it installed in our remodeled kitchen. Looks really nice, but for the most part so does a bookend. The range part works well but the oven is a joke. The only thing it cooks good is our bank account...! The wonderful people at Thermador thought they had better way to light a oven, putting a delay of so many seconds on the gas valve, before it lights... Thus filling your oven full of gas and when it lights, which you have a 50/50 chance that it might, the door on the oven jumps out a bit as it is now lit... For how long it stays going is a crapshoot. If you are cooking a roast that will take over a hour, forget it. It wont relight to keep at temp. But the fun part of it is the temp on the dial shows whatever the temp you set it at! Open the oven and its around 100 degrees. NICE! It is what it is and thats JUNK!We had a company who was great repairing the Wonderful PRO-Grand, new name should be PRO Crap, but anyway the repairman found a missing part in the oven. Called the Company and got the repair tech on the phone, who stated, We do not sell that Part... Now three weeks later the repair company going to bat for me, got the people at Thermador to send us the part. Which in fact they forgot to install at the so-called Factory! Wonderful the problem fixed right?????? NOPE! Installed that part and the oven is still doing the same thing...! Anyway not wanting to see the Nice repairman again for awhile we started using the barbecue as our new oven!Works great keeps the temp right and it only cost $300.00. Pro Grand $6000.00 Plus.... Is there something wrong with this picture????? Now we are getting close to the end of this Saga.....! Bit the bullet and called the Nice Repairman. Was like old home week for the first three minutes, but he got the Pro Grand apart could not figure it out and call the Factory Tech. His name is Mr. Confused. Was told what was happening and he could not figure it out either.....! So the Nice Repairman asked, Why do we need this delay on the gas and light it like the broiler lights? which is right now... Doesnt figure does it.....! DA. Okay, now one great-minded repairman and one confused Factory Tech tells the Nice Repairman, You mean like the Older Pro Grands? Yes, the OLD ONE!!!!!!! Yes!!!! Factory Tech the Old tried and true Lights every time system. Okay, the Confused Factory Tech says... Now we wait!!!!!!! Nice repairman leaves to find out what he needs as far as parts and if he really is right... Yes he was!!!!! Mr. Nice Repairman got all the new stuff ordered and now I have to Open my wallet again to pay the Nice Repair Company...! The cost of this repair was Only $475.80 thus bring up the total cost of repairs to $1065.71 Pro Grands final repair total. Dont waste your time with Thermador thinking they will stand behind the product. The Fact is they wont....! For those of you who dont know this Thermador is owned by Bosch...... !

We purchased the Thermador refrigerator (Model T42BD820NS) in June 2014, yes, 2 months ago, and we are already experiencing problems. The ice maker completely broke and we had to wait a WEEK to get a service rep out to tell us they have to order a part and will come back in another week to fix it. So, not only does the product suck, because it broke after 2 months. (this is a $10K model by the way, would expect better performance) But, the service package is AWFUL too. We have always had GE Appliances in our past houses and have NEVER had a problem. This is completely unacceptable. Buyers beware of this very expensive piece of crap. I hope this helps someone make an informed decision because this has been a very disappointing experience. (I do like their dishwasher and cooktop, though, have to admit)

My very expensive Thermador wall oven has been giving me an F-34 error code. When going online, I see we are one of many consumers experiencing the poor quality of this companys product. As frustrating as it is to need to call out a repairman, even more frustrating is that with so many of us having the issue, the parts are no longer available (or were ever available?) to fix the error. I expect a couple hundred dollar oven to be considered disposable but when you spend several thousand on what is suppose to be commercial quality, you dont expect to have to replace them in a few short years.

We bought Thermador appliances for our kitchen when we remodeled at the year 2010. We expect these luxury appliances can last long long time because they are all built-in units. First, we received damage refrigerator aluminum panel at the beginning that we need to hold the installation to wait for replacement. It took almost all day to install the refrigerator. Three years ago, the motors need to be replaced. It took half day to replace because you need special tool and only have very limited space to work. Now, we have the 2nd failure of microwave in last two years and We were told the microwave is not repairable. It is almost $6,000 because it is one unit with the oven. As an owner experience of Thermador, the quality is not you can trust. Do not be fooled by their pictures or promotion. Their quality is very LOW.

The device is a decent size and fit the area we had for it. It didnt take much to get it in the right position for it to fit snugly. Very good performance of the device. We have had no issues with how it runs and we use it constantly. Only once have we had to unplug but that was during a power outage. Very nice looking machine with some nice trim details. This looks like a quality appliance and would help the looks of most any kitchen. I have enjoyed this refrigerator immensely and really like the brand and functions. If youre in the market you wont go wrong with this one.

Thermador Professional GAS range with Non-functioning grill is NOT supported by Thermador, nor do local-Detroit, Michigan, professional appliance repair people know how to repair nor source parts for this range. Speaking with Thermador design engineers in Calif. does NOT provide a solution to: Grill VALVE not functioning, Thermador does not offer a replacement valve, they do not manufacture the valves anymore. This is a $10,000 range. Thermador has told me to scrap this 6 foot wide stainless steel, double oven, 6 burner range and purchase a new one versus simply offering to REPAIR this unit. Do NOT buy Thermador, go commercial.

We have purchased a full range of new Thermador appliances from Howard’s. We were instructed to make full payment for everything in July to ensure we get all our appliances in time for installation by end August. We are still waiting for our oven and microwave which we are told is on backorder for end October. They blame it on Thermador slow production. Why take our money if they can’t deliver? Calling Thermador to complain is the most horrific experience to go through. They keep you on hold for more than an hour and then cut you off. Twice!!! We have made a terrible mistake going with this brand, I can just imagine how their after sales experience is going to be if this is still pre-installation?!

Ive had Thermador appliances in my last two homes. Loved them. Didnt have any problems. We just moved and bought a new 48 all gas range (first time to have such a large range). So far so good. Only problem is the display panel light wont go off. Im hoping this is not a big deal. I have always enjoyed my appliances from Thermador. Ive had the range, microwave, dishwasher, wall oven, and warming drawer. Dont let me down this time!!!
