We bought this 36”, 6 burner stove new From a local appliance store. We have had multiple calls to have repairs made. 4 times for gas leaks, not a great experience, 4 different occasions. We have had to have two igniters replaced. I also had to have some control unit replaced after a pot boiled over and shorted out this element. That cost us $849. Now with the oven never heating to the desired temperature, and servicemen saying there is nothing they could do, the oven just won’t work at all. The parts to repair it are$2650 without the service call and installation. We paid over $5,000 for this piece of crap. After contacting Thermador, they offered me $ 200 off on parts. A range is suppose to turn on heat up and bake, cook as needed. What a waste of money and terrible customer service! Don’t buy one!

Built a new home 5 years ago and paid the price to install Thermador major appliances. The oven failed twice during warranty and was out of service about 10% of the first year of operation. Most recently the main circuit board in the refrigerator failed. The fridge is 5 years old and Thermador doesnt make or keep any spare parts. My options are to try to find someone who can rebuild the board or buy a new refrigerator. We are trying to get the board repaired by a free lance computer jock. Well see how that goes. Dont buy Thermador.

Two and a half months ago my CIT365DS induction cook-top displayed an F0 error code. Two burners are out. I repeatedly called tech support and they couldnt find an authorized repair tech in my area. After 2 months I finally got a call from South Carolina telling me that I am on my own in finding someone to service my cook-top. I have the name of the Thermador service technician in Huntington Beach, Ca who for three weeks failed to call the one person left who is qualified to repair this thing. I even spoke with this Thermador technician last week and he assured me that he would call the service company in Port Angeles and arrange a service call. He failed miserably in making that call. I have never run across a company that holds customer satisfaction in such little regard. Yes, I am angry.

36 pro range dual fuel 6 burner stainless - In the last 4 years we had 2 very serious situations with regards to Thermador ovens. The first incident was in a former home of ours where we decided to use the self-clean mode which we have had a lot experience with other brands in how to use a self-clean mode. After about 25 minutes the glass exploded sending glass throughout our kitchen. Had we not been at home, the oven would have continued to operate with the high risk of a fire. We moved to a new condo which had another Thermador oven. We put the oven on to preheat and again after 25 minutes a fire started in our oven caused by the heat sensor incorrectly reading the temperature. Thermadors response to this leaves us with the impression that they dont care about issues with their ovens even if it means that a dangerous situation could occur.

We purchased Thermador double ovens for a brand new custom kitchen about 13 yr ago. We called Eatontown appliance of Eatontown NJ for service since we purchased the ovens there. It was $100 service call to inform us 2 days later that they cant get the parts as Thermador no longer carries them. So I called Thermador itself and they were very polite but totally unapologetic. You might be able to get them for a parts store on Internet (did not work). So unless you plan to throw out your ovens if you have a or any Thermador product I recommend you buy some other product. Eatontown wasnt much help either unless you want new ovens. Definitely not from them.

I purchased a $6000 Thermador range, the leg covers were wrong size. I called the non-existent customer service, after waits of 45 min or more I talked to the installation hotline which is actually an ignorant whose only purpose is to transfer the call customer service. Once with customer service, you realized they are as ignorant about their product as the previous person, they decide to send a technician who came to my house a week later and could not install the leg covers. Of course no follow up, so after several calls and long period of waiting on hold, Thermador finally said I had to buy new covers because the unit I bought was a floor model and they are not responsible for missing or wrong parts on floor models. Stay away from Thermador.

My very expensive Thermador wall oven has been giving me an F-34 error code. When going online, I see we are one of many consumers experiencing the poor quality of this companys product. As frustrating as it is to need to call out a repairman, even more frustrating is that with so many of us having the issue, the parts are no longer available (or were ever available?) to fix the error. I expect a couple hundred dollar oven to be considered disposable but when you spend several thousand on what is suppose to be commercial quality, you dont expect to have to replace them in a few short years.

Bought and professionally installed 48 dual fuel Pro Grand Thermador Range.
Bought and professionally installed 48 dual fuel Pro Grand Thermador Range. Oven temperatures are 40 to over 100 degrees low. Serviced by certified Thermador repair THREE times and they report no problems but my oven still wont bake. Thermador sent sales rep on third repair visit to bake cookies to show me how oven works... However per recipe, 350 degrees 11-15 minutes resulting in pale underbaked cookies over 30 minutes later. He documented the facts but after 10 days, I havent heard a word... Weve had range 4 months and still problematic! Thermador Rep doesnt want to believe anything is wrong with range even after witnessing failure to bake... with all my written documentation and ruined food. Ive even gone as far to bring identical dishes to bake at local Thermador Appliance Store with positive results, so I know baking is possible in a Thermador oven... just not MINE.

Thermador KBUDT4850A10 - We purchased this $7,000 refrigerator for a kitchen remodel. It came with a 10 year warranty. After a couple of months of use we noticed that the ice in the ice maker bin was melting and freezing back together in a large clump. We placed a service call only to be told that this refrigerator does that and there is nothing to fix- it is a design flaw. We have put up with this flaw for the 6 years we have owned this lemon having to dump the ice maker every couple of weeks. Now we have a dent in one of the stainless steel doors. I purchased a replacement door skin for over $700 and placed a call to the support line for help with the install. I was told the only help they could give me was a rate of $129 for the service call and $129 per hour for the repair. I asked for a schematic for the door so I could do it myself and they again refused to help or supply the schematic or repair instructions. I am sure I can figure out how to install this part without their help but it would have went a long way to show a little customer service.

I remodeled my kitchen in July 2015. I was so excited when my Thermador Range arrived and was put into place. My daughter and I couldnt wait to use it! She started by baking cookies. She is an amazing baker. The cookies she baked in the Thermador came out very different. They were done on the outside and raw on the inside. Same thing every time she baked after that. She really thought she was losing her touch. Yesterday was Thanksgiving and I had 8 people coming for dinner. I couldnt wait to show off my new range! I put the Turkey in the oven at 11:30 on 325. At 5:30 it looked done on the outside but was raw on the inside. It was thoroughly thawed when I put it in the oven. As a matter of fact everything took twice as long to cook as it should have. After everyone went home and I was cleaning the kitchen I decided to put the self cleaning on. About 20 minutes later there was a big crash and shattered glass all over my kitchen floor!! The interior glass exploded!! I was so scared and in such shock! I started researching and realized there are so many problems with Thermador! I dont want to fix it. I just want it out of my house. I contacted an attorney and Im hoping I can give it back. I called the appliance place I bought it from and asked them to take it back. I told customer service I would purchase a Wolf and pay the difference. She laughed and said What are we supposed to do with the Thermador? Why Thermador is still in business I dont understand! I will never make a big purchase again without seeing the reviews first. I hope this saves someone else from making the big mistake I did.

The ovens were installed in August, 2019. On November 26, 2019, the ovens would not turn off. I had 4 service calls related to that issue and failure of the ovens to preheat. The motherboard was replaced twice. I did not have ovens for Christmas or New Years. Thermador finally gave me new ovens after 8 weeks. The new ovens have a software issue according to Thermador and do not accurately show the preheat temperature of the ovens. The software fix timeframe is not yet known. Dont buy this oven.

Its the same problem that I have read about over and over and over again. My 10 year old Thermador 27 double oven has had most of the problems described in previous reviews. The incessant beeping where you have to shut down breaker for it to stop, the default codes that pop up because of the erratic sensors, and finally the control board going on the fritz and finding out that there is no way to purchase anew or even rebuilt one because it has been discontinued. So, basically I have to spend $5,000 for a new oven when I only need a $300 replacement part. However, the good news is that I wont have to put up with this nonsense any longer.

We are now two months without a working freezer. I cannot stress enough how bad our experience has been. My wife is on the phone nearly everyday with customer service reps, but nothing gets done. They have sent the same incompetent repair people four times to no avail. They cancel appointments and reschedule without informing us. The corporate headquarters are in Germany, so there is no one else to talk to. At the same time, they have wanted to charge us $1,500 in labor costs. Can you imagine paying $1,500 for a job not done? I might add we have seven Thermador appliances in our kitchen! I would not recommend Thermador to anyone.Updated on 08/01/2016: We have now entered our fourth month without a freezer. It is very clear to us that Thermadors game plan is to frustrate the customer so that he/she will eventually give up. To recapsulate: we had repairmen out four or five times unable to fix the problem. On four occasions, the company cancelled the appointment without informing us and we had to reschedule. This caused additional delays. Without exaggerating, I would say my wife has been on the phone with customer service more than 30 times. Now they have offered us a new freezer at a discount, but will not provide any kind of installation or delivery into the house; nor will they remove the old, non-working freezer. The installers they recommend refuse to remove the old unit for insurance reasons. They also refuse to bring the new unit into the house from the curb. So here we are: it will cost us nearly the price of the freezer to have the new one installed if we could find someone to do it.My wife is in tears with frustration and anger. We have not been able to speak with anyone outside of customer service. It is a German company with apparently no executives here. I want to restate that our unit remains under warranty. I cant think of a worse example of customer service in my 55 years. Next step: New York State attorney general.

Tech came and replaced broiler unit and left. Now oven did not work! Called and was told two weeks until tech could come back. Two weeks and tech returned with more parts. Oven does not work still. Thermador said they would send another tech in two weeks. Was informed that tech was injured and rescheduled for another two weeks. Still waiting for my oven to be repaired after three months!

I have owned a Thermador oven for 5 years that came new with our apartment. Since the beginning, the door looks like it doesnt close tightly. It turns out that when the oven heats up. The door opens up even more causing the light to come on, and the heat cooks the computer. We replaced one computer for $800 and then two years later, we made the connection that it was cooking its computer as it started to fail, so we replaced the hinges ($200). That was six months ago and the door is still slightly open and cooking its own computer. The repairman came three times and tweaked something but the door is still open.

We spent $20,000 on Thermador appliances in Aug. 2015, and our $8000.00 freezer continuously fails to produce ice or when it does the entire bin freezes into a solid block. Weve had the ice maker replaced once already and this one has stopped as well. Now only 7 months old we are informed that we will have to buy a replacement filter for $50.00 for it every 6 months!!! (And no doubt will have to pay an exorbitant service charge every time once the warranty runs out.) I have had a very disappointing experience with Thermador and apart from keeping an induction cooktop since my granite was already cut! I returned all of my other Thermador items. The dishwasher (included in a buy +2 appliance package) independently measured as high as 70dBA vs. the advertised 48dBA. The 30 micro/oven wall combination came (twice) with a misaligned oven door. It was confirmed to me, after the fact, by a Thermador customer service person that Thermador is actually shipping ovens with a known defect that supposedly has an easy fix of replacement hinges. The issue is that NO ONE seems to know this! Not the Tech nor the appliance store. So +7 hours and 3 technician visits later (with minimum of 2 weeks between visits as I as told there are ONLY 2 techs that service the entire Austin, TX metro area). I am done with Thermador. I live in fear that should I have ever have a maintenance issue with the induction cooktop I have a 50% chance of getting the technician that was rude, condescending to me, my contractor, my designer and carpenter. So let me get this straight -- THERMADOR, you want me to pay top $$$ for your appliances. Chances are they may arrive defective. No one will know how to fix them (who wants a new $5000 appliance to need to be fixed anyway?) and on yeah, have to wait +2 weeks for a technician to come into my home and insult me. It doesnt get any worse than that. Thermador if you are reading this - shame on you!!! Perhaps you need to take a page from the KitchenAid playbook on how to treat your customers that are spending a ton of money on your over-hyped products.

I purchased a suite of Thermador appliances for my kitchen 6 years ago. You get a better deal when you buy an entire brand. Even though I knew every brand has its strengths and weaknesses I gave into the salesman’s pressure and the better pricing. Never again! A rookie mistake. The only appliance from Thermador that has performed well is the dishwasher. The ovens take forever to get to preheat and even when the alarm sounds that it has reached temperature it’s not even close to the set temp. I had to buy a thermometer to put inside the oven to gauge when it was truly at the desired temp. The fridge door has never closed properly and it leaks on my wood floor. After install Thermador customer service said my concerns were “customer preference” and nothing faulty with the fridge or freezer. The ice maker makes weird ice and it takes forever. Now the entire freezer quit freezing and the repairman suggested I replace it with a Sub Zero. I paid $8k for this fridge/freezer and my less expensive built in was twice the appliance of this one. Word to the wise....don’t buy a suite. Buy each appliance in the brand that they are known for and have strong reviews. If misery loves company I am not lonely on the topic of Thermador! Never again.

I purchased a whole kitchen of appliances in 2019. My pride purchase was a Thermador 36 inch gas 4 burner with a grill in the middle. 7149.99 stove alone. The meat probe from the oven was never used until that Thanksgiving when I was going to cook my first turkey with my Thermador stove probe kit. Seems simple right? Put the probe in the turkey, set it and wait for the probe to chirp. Right from the start it gave me a defective code with the probe in. It couldnt be used. Since the fall of 2019 until today Thermadors qualified service techs have been to the house 5 times and are unable to fix it. One and one half years later no resolution. They just decided that they would replace my stove. The replacement is the stove prg366wh which is 1000.00 dollars less. They refuse to reimburse even a fraction of the amount claiming Ive had the stove over a year, even though my call for service was less than 6 months after owning the stove. Ive declined, Im off to court. Somethings are a matter of principle. Bottom line, Thermador is no longer able to support their past reputation. One last thing I discovered during this problem. The parts are made in China, so how do they claim the quality when everything is being made for all at the same sweatshop. Stay away from Thermador. Worst purchase Ive made in 20 years.

We recently purchased a home that has a Thermador range in it. I love to cook and believed this unit was a high end range, just waiting, waiting for an opportunity to use it. Well, the first time I turned it on, the igniter did not work. That was replaced however, the oven door does not close all the way. In reading the numerous reviews, it seems the hinges are faulty. This confirms that Thermador is not all that it thinks it is. I also attempted via email to contact the CEO of Thermador. I have wrote several emails/letter to Customer Service and its like I dont exist. My Freezer/Fridge unit was purchased 2017 and within a month I has calling for a repair and it has been ongoing issue. I have to treat my $10,000 freezer as if owned a 1920 ice box freezer and manually remove everything and chip out the built up ice. This is the sacrifice I need to do so that I can maybe enjoy ice when it decides to produce some. Thermador has decide to abandoned their customers so we can make sure that we can share our experience with as many Thermador potential customers and save them from also being mislead. Bought a new Thermador refrigerator from Ferguson’s in May 2014. This being Hawaii, had to wait for delivery. You learn patience in Hawaii, so I was ok with that. But I had to pay full price plus shipping upfront. Not too happy about that. Finally got the refrigerator installed in July 2014. Loved it. Didnt care that it was $10,000, since it worked great and ease of use. Icemaker was efficient and made plentiful ice. Then, in late October, the icemaker just stopped working. Only one repair shop would come to our side of the island (20 min drive). I had to wait a month for the appointment. Still, I have learned patience, so I waited. Repairman was great. He found that there was a factory defect - a short in the electrical wiring inside the wall of the freezer unit. Cant be repaired, so he called Thermador and told them (actually he insisted) that they needed to replace the refrigerator. He told me they would be contacting me. I wait another month. Today I get a call from Thermador (message on my phone) that they cannot replace the refrigerator, as they cannot be expected to ship it to Hawaii. WHAT?? They will give a credit for the unit to Ferguson’s. Excuse me? I paid for the refrigerator, I called for the repair. This does not bode well. Is this just another way of forcing me to pay for shipping and installation again? I dont really want to deal with Ferguson’s again, as once the sale is made, its like a personality change on the salesmen. This credit thing should be interesting..... I know Im screwed. Ah well, the refrigerator still works, as does the freezer. I just buy bags of ice at the grocery and dump them in the ice bin. A previous complainant mentioned a class action lawsuit. Im in. I anticipate a major run-around on this. Customer service is terrible and they dont back up their product. And everyone on this website paid a lot more than was needed for the appliance that has failed them.

I am an experienced baker of 35 years. We finally finished building our dream house and purchased a Thermador double oven in 2015. It has done nothing but ruin everything Ive baked. Had the service repairman out and was told I wasnt using the settings right. After using the times and settings according to the manual, baked goods turned out worse!I have wasted countless hours and ingredients trying to make something turn out right, adjusting temperatures, times, settings and rack placements. What a huge waste of money and disappointment with this oven. If I could afford to replace it, I would. No help from store we bought it from or Thermador manufacturing. Do not buy a Thermador oven. I would never recommend any products from this company after this experience. For many years, I baked in cheap ovens with great results. This $1,800 appliance has ruined my baking ability since we are now unable to replace it with something that works and unfortunately, it is built into the wall in an expensive cabinet.

Every single time you have to use the microwave you have to endure a 2-second ‘boot-up’ process that flashes “Thermador” accompanied by a loud tinny tune. WHY??Then it takes 3 steps to select a simple microwave setting to finally get it going. But, if you start the unit and step away to do anything else (which is what you do all the time!) it will hammer you with a loud alert jingle that it is done - not once or twice, but again, and again, and again and again and again and AGAIN… a total of FIFTEEN TIMES! WHY?? And there’s no way to silence this “feature”. For $3,000 all we bought ourselves was a dose of daily aggravation. Similarly the Dishwasher DWHD650WPR/13. Once it completes the wash cycle, it too announces repeatedly - SIX loud beeps which repeat over and over SIX times, even in the dead of night.. and the only way to stop that madness is to go and open the unit’s door! It makes us wonder if these products are designed to impose upon the user rather than to do their job and sort of disappear in the background? For instance if a user starts the dishwasher at night, does Thermador expect her to stand by until the cycle is complete and they can kill the alerts so that a guest sleeping in an adjacent room doesn’t get disturbed? Or if a user starts the microwave, are they expected to physically stand by so that a string of unending alerts don’t wake up a sleeping baby? It is as if the people who designed the products never used them themselves. Otherwise it is hard to understand how anyone, especially a company like Bosch / Thermador, would let this stuff fly. We’ve never been so disappointed with appliances in all our lives, certainly not ones that are so expensive.

Multiple issues with a fridge, freezer and range. Spent close to $25,000 and not worth the money. They do provide a 2 year warranty and we had over 20 service calls between the 3 appliances. Theyre beautiful appliances but would never recommend Thermador and will never buy again. We have no faith in the products and were forced to buy an extended warranty that cost over $1,000.00 when the warranty expired. Youve been warned and hopefully you did you due diligence before buying these appliances - regretfully I did not.

I purchased $8000 Thermador oven that is worthless. The broiler function has never worked, and it does not heat evenly. The top igniter unit does not work. I have spent over $1500 in repairmen claiming they fixed the problem when in reality they never fixed anything. With a gas oven, how does one know if it is truly fixed? Do not buy Thermador. The company, the appliance center where we purchased the oven, and the repairmen were all of no help. Now we are stuck with this expensive oven that we cant even use. All items come out burnt on the bottom and completely raw on top.

Works well, no problems - it works fine. Price is okay. The color is nice. It was a long time before I had to clean it and I like it. The price was higher but it looks nice and classy and works well enough that I am satisfied with the product that I will not call to complain about the product. It was more expensive than most but I liked the style and thought it would work well because it is good enough to spend the few extra dollars. The size fits well in my kitchen. It could be lighter but obviously you dont pick up w/ stove that much so it doesnt play into effect at all and its a nice stove.

Bought all products (wall oven, range, refrigerator) from Best Buy. Sale items packaged together. Biggest mistake of my life. Fridge did not work from get go. Got no response from either company until I hit their web pages and blasted them. Now, less than four years later, ice maker does not work. Over $500 to fix with a one year warranty. I do not need $500 worth of ice for one year. Wall oven: less than four years old. Close to $600 to replace heating board, again with only one year warranty. Range: sold to me not explaining it was for a center island. Didnt work. Shut down completely when turned on. Had to pull away from wall to get it to work. Ive seen several complaints similar to mine with products from Best Buy. I think we should start a class action lawsuit.

I purchased the side by side fridge and freezer in 2011. The ice maker immediately stopped working so it was replaced. The new ice maker would then jam up and cause me to take the drawer out and manually break up the ice. Ive spent over $500 in repair costs to try to get this fixed and nobody has an answer. Now, 8 years after I bought it, I still have to pull the drawer out and manually break up the ice every couple of days. Thats hundreds of times now since I bought it. I get more annoyed each time I have to do it as you could imagine. Ive contacted Thermador support multiple times on this matter. Each time they deny my request for action on their end. Ive spent well over $25k on Thermador appliances. ILL NEVER GIVE ANOTHER DOLLAR TO THIS COMPANY. Highly overrated and overpriced. Good riddance.

The oven stopped heating and the repair company said we need a new control board. Guess what, Thermador no longer makes the part so the oven needs to be replaced. After talking Thermador customer support guy, I was told that I need to replace the three piece combo even the microwave and warmer are still working. Can you imagine the quality and service they provide for such a high end appliance? My old oven kept working for 30 years. They just assuming we can throw everything out and get new ones every few years? I just dont trust them. Does anyone on this board have gone through similar ordeal? Is it possible to only replace the broken oven? It seems to me these have separate controls and why we have to replace all of them when just one thing breaks. Thanks in advance for any help or suggestion.

We purchased a group of Thermador appliances in 2016 when renovating our kitchen. We thought that we were purchasing high quality reliable appliances and we could not have been more wrong. Our double wall ovens have malfunctioned since 2017. Every year these ovens stop working and we have to pay out between $450-$900 each time even after these ovens were supposedly repaired before the warranty ran out. This year we had service on August 24 and paid $927.00 for a new relay panel. Now on November 18, 2021, within three months, we have to have both fans replaced at a cost of $864.00. The fans have already been replaced multiple times and contact with Thermador, the local rep and the retailer have produced either no response or sorry we dont deal with service issues. On top of this the Thermador dishwasher purchased at the same time requires a new motor. We have been careful with these appliances, do not put the self clean on too frequently and try to be mindful of usage. I would run for the hills before purchasing Thermador or any products under the same manufacturer-I feel we were sold a very expensive bill of goods-abominable!

I guess Im lucky. I havent had a disaster with our convection double oven. We bought ours, used about 6 years ago, from a house that was being gutted and remodeled. It was a 95 model and I was thrilled to be getting an updated, and convection oven. Now, Im nervous about keeping it and having something disastrous happen from all of these other posts. I was only trying to find a replacement knob and was frustrated at not being able to find one since they are no longer manufactured. Our oven was very difficult to install. My husband and father were able to cut the holes into the attic and vent it properly, but it has never cooked evenly, even using convection, and it always takes 30-45 minutes longer to cook anything like casseroles or meatloaf, anything denser.

Weve owned our oven for over 10 years. Ive loved using this Thermador oven. Two years ago, the oven would beep continuously after its turned off. The only way to sop it was to literally pull the electric switch to the oven on the outside of the house. Weve had many repairs... new control panel, oven hinges, new seals, more tech repair visits, you name it. Nothing has stopped this beeping. Evidentially, the oven heats up and hit the panel sensors somehow and the beeping begins! Im frustrated and disappointed in Thermador. Customer service acts as though Im the only person this is happening to. Shame on them! As much as I loved this ovens capabilities, I have to say that Ill never purchase a Thermador again!

As with others, we spent a lot of money on this over/under oven. Looks nice but the internal design is awful. Its been 4 years now and we have had to replace the control boards 3 times already... and it died again a week ago. There is NO support for Thermador appliances in the Dallas area. Parts cost as much as the original unit almost if you can find them. I have replaced the faulty boards 3 times so far, but Im too tired to deal with this anymore. The analog & digital boards run about $600... 3 sets are enough for a new oven. Its a giant rip-off. Where is the quality design & service... missing totally. Were going to purchase a new oven now and it wont be Thermador. In 50 years, I have never experienced such poor design and support. I cant believe Thermador is still in business!

Thermador 48 double oven ,4 burner, grill and griddle - We remodeled our kitchen in 2005, and I purchased what I thought was the best cooking appliance available. I was sadly mistaken. The small left side oven no longer works properly and can only be used as a warming drawer. The temperature will no longer go above 120 degrees. The part needed to repair this I am told is $900 plus labor. I doubt if I have used this oven more than 25 times since it was installed. I’m very dissatisfied since the oven we replaced (not Thermador) had worked perfectly since 1986.

This combination steam oven unit is a wonderful idea with a terrible implementation. We have now had a repair person (from Mr. Appliance, who is AMAZING!!) come out 5 times; 4 times to do something about the leaking steam oven. They even had him replace the water bottle because the original design was faulty, but it still leaks. After using the unit about 20 minutes, water leaks out the bottom of the oven and drips onto the control panel of the warming drawer, which then shorts out. They have had to replace the control panel on the warming drawer twice. I called Thermador again to get the unit replaced. I had to send my original sales receipt (even though they already have it because I registered the product right after it was installed) and technician invoices from the repairs (even though the repair technician calls them every time to get their help to resolve the problem). After a couple of days, I get an email back saying they have made a decision, but they cannot relay the results of their decision via phone or email, so I call customer service and have to wait in the regular queue...after finally getting someone, I am told there is nothing in the file. I read her the email that was sent, she put me on hold again for probably at least 5 minutes and came back saying they made a decision that the unit works properly; even after I submitted the diagnosis from the repair tech showing that the unit is not working. The technician was out again today and took pictures and sent them to Thermador to hopefully get this unit replaced. After spending 28 minutes on the phone, I learned that they were not going to honor their warranty based on my request and now that the technician sent them pictures, it was being escalated to management for a review. The customer service person told me it would be another 24-48 hours until they make a decision. Will update when we hear.

We have a broken Wall unit (combo of microwave+oven+hot drawer) that is ~2.5 years old. We got the unit from Karls Appliances in Fairfield NJ and Wendy ** was the sales rep. We have had number of issues with several appliances that we ordered from Thermador. First, the double drawer fridge stopped working in 1.5 years or less and had to be completely replaced. Then, the second most expensive appliance of wall unit (combo of microwave+oven+hot drawer) developed a problem just a few months past 2 years of purchase. The microwave stopped working and started giving errors. We didn’t expect this kind of quality of appliances from Thermador. Thermador provides warranty for 2 years and having the appliances fail just a little more than 2 years makes their quality inferior compared to the other brands out there. We used Thermador website to call George appliances and the person they send had no clue about the error nor how to even handle the trim of the microwave. We ended up paying the service call but with nothing in return. On top of that, we got quoted by George’s appliance for $1000 just to fix the microwave. This is a complete rip off by Thermador and their registered appliance repair shops. Thermador quality of appliances has been suspect in the last few years that we have used their appliances and even after buying expensive products, their products fail just as soon as the warranty expire. I wouldn’t recommend buying from Thermador or Karls appliances and definitely not calling George appliances.

We are in the middle of installing a new kitchen with all new Thermador appliances. We bought Miele for the dishwasher instead of the free Thermador. At this point, we wish we went all Miele for everything and here is why. Nothing has been used yet since we are awaiting countertops and water but we have electricity to the appliances. Right out of the box, one of the Thermador ovens has a defective main circuit board. The drawer microwave has a defective control panel. What is Thermadors response? Call a repair shop. Which we did, waited a week, tech shows up and yup its defective. Now we are waiting 4 weeks for the parts and then a week later, maybe they will repair our brand-new, never used, just installed Thermador appliances.Thermador is a brand name owned and managed by the same folks that make Bosch which is sold at Home Depot, etc. Thermador has splashy ads in high-end magazines, etc. but it is all hype. The product quality and service is abysmal. We were flabbergasted that Thermador would not let our kitchen designer/dealer replace the defective units. If you are considering premium appliances we would recommend Miele. Check out the information online before you buy. Miele is a private, family-owned company that is uncompromising in their focus on quality. They cost more than Thermador but they are worth it. We have three Miele dishwashers at other properties. Previously, we had a Thermador cooktop downdraft that the blower motor died after two years.

Our home came w/a Thermador three piece microwave, warming drawer, and wall oven. The home is now 10 years old and the microwave has stopped working on the three piece unit. I was shocked to learn that you have to replace the entire unit for nearly $6,000 because they no longer make replacement parts. The rep on the phone was nice but explained that in order to keep up w/ technology they dont make replacement parts for things like microwaves. I guess when you buy a Thermador you should remember that it is unlikely you will get replacement parts and if you buy a three piece unit you will need to replace the entire thing if one component breaks. The rep seemed surprised that I would be upset about this... I guess they really only expect their products to last up to 10 years. That isnt very long for such an expensive high-end product. I am the not so proud owner of a Thermador 302 series double wall oven with a malfunctioning right side door hinge and hinge receiver. Thermador no longer manufactures the parts and refused to assist me in locating them. The parts are difficult to find because the same parts are made for different companies using different part numbers and they are not returnable, so if you buy the wrong part youre stuck with it. In my case, the parts amount to about $400 (for stamped metal pieces) and Im neither willing nor able to take that risk. The oven is only 10 years old, which according to Thermadors customer support (or lack thereof) is beyond its life expectancy, and absolves them of any responsibility to support their product. They dont even have a technical support department, who could have told me not to bother spending $100 on a service call because the parts are no longer available. So there you have it folks, if you want a $2,000.00 metal planter, then go with Thermador. Otherwise STAY AWAY! DO NOT BUY THERMADOR PRODUCTS, YOU WILL BE SORRY!!!

Dont buy Thermador ranges. A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY AND A LOT OF IT. Weve had the ProGrand garbage for 1 year. Excluding previous problems, the most recent is the oven lights no longer function. Called Thermador for assistance. They stated that while still under warranty, the oven bulbs (2 of them) are a routine consumer maintenance issue and a tech would not be assigned. So, I spent $40 for a bulb. Despite I specified that no lights function in the oven, Thermador sent me only 1 light. With much difficulty, I replaced the defective bulb in the lower right of the oven. Powered the oven back up, AND NOTHING. Removed the new bulb and placed it into the upper left socket. After powering back up, AND NOTHING.Frankly, Ive never had to replace an oven bulb in a 10 year old oven, you know, the far cheaper commonly found brand names of Kenmore, Amana, Frigidaire or other LOW END ovens. But for $10,000 you can buy a Pro Grand and have all kinds of fun calling for support, technicians, and an oven that is pure, bonafide garbage. Get this, in preheating mode, the oven will on occasion never reach set point. Rebooting the power supply seems to help. The racks are a dream too. They are extremely difficult to interchange to a new height setting. And they DONT CARE.On a prior occasion speaking with Thermador support, I asked if I could convey my dissatisfaction with their quality group. Specifically, they have some serious quality control issues. I was told that was not possible. This oven, and the lack of Thermadors concern is all the reason a consumer needs to know that this product is garbage and very expensive at that, relatively to conventional offerings. I purchased $20K in Thermador kitchen and BBQ appliances in 2012. Products are attractive and appear well built and have generally performed OK, but Customer Care has been consistently terrible. The cooktop hood collects oil in a tray which leaked oil and stained our granite backsplash. After two service calls we fixed it ourselves, but too late for our backsplash - see a similar earlier posting also on this site (This is a simple design fix which any design engineering student could identify and remedy). Refrig unit failed recently after six years, and is still under warranty for parts. However, Thermador has no authorized refrig service provider covering this area (where we purchased from their dealer) and will not provide warranty parts to a non-authorized servicer. The BBQ unit does not distribute gas evenly and one side is always much hotter than the other. The Bosch dishwasher works well but retains a residual food odor - its stainless steel but plastic parts seem hold the odor. We havent bothered to approach Thermador on this. Thermador quality is way under part, and the company is very poorly run with respect to customer experience and satisfaction.I live in one of the fastest growing upscale communities in Southern California - one would think service availability for this area would be a priority. Nope. I have always been polite and respectful in my calls to Thermador - the first level staff is polite and tries to be helpful, but supervision and management has been curt and annoyed with my requests for help. Got a new thermostat knob yet the oven does not heat up accurately. Smaller oven to this day still does not work properly. Bake means broil!! We can never get a correct temp. And for the first 5 mins it broils no matter what temp you are on. Fridge/freezer side by side was delivered with broken wheels. Ice machine has broken twice - Went months without ice. Drawers have broken. Now our dishwasher on the outside panel has RUSTED. How does stainless steel rust? The whole front is brown. We sent pics in and complained. Oh but you only have 30 days on cosmetics. Buy this cleaner... Customer Service is disgraceful. They dont care at all - I want a Thermador sales rep in my house NOW! Shame on you Thermador. You have no customer service loyalty. You took my money and wont help anyone by the looks of things, not just me. Be warned. Dont buy Thermador, I am sick over this...

It was a good size for me because I live alone, but if you have family members I recommend a bigger one. However I found it useful and very spacious for my personal needs. It worked fine like any other freezer. The ice machine worked just fine as well and I never had any issues with it. Overall it was perfect for me. I do not care much for the way a freezer looks. The freezer though went perfectly with my kitchen and fit just right with the counter tops. I believe I paid a fair price for it. I also thought that for how long it lasted that it was worth the price and the time it took to install it.

And the freezer part still doesn’t work. Customer service rep is rude. Tells me. I should keep getting the tech out and until he tries more than 5 times. They can’t with anything more. Each time you schedule an appointment it’s 2-3 months away. Waiting on my 4th visit now.

We have purchased a house with 5-year old all Thermador top of the line appliances. The refrigerator had a chronic problem with the ice and water dispenser leaking and not working adequately on any level. I called Thermador, and they recommended their local factory certified technician. He has made one repair with no results. The second repair involved replacing the door on the dispensers, as well as the optical sensors, with no change in results. I called Thermador and received a rude and uncooperative attendant, who refused to transfer me to a supervisor or give me information as to how to contact the service manager. I say, if you are in the luxury item market, you need to have that level of customer service. I think either a class action suit or a social media storm should get Thermador’s attention. Also, remember to research a company service record before purchasing anything.

I bought all new kitchen appliances 3 1/2 years ago when my fridge died but wasnt ready to install the rest because of a kitchen remodel that was planned in the near future. Went to install last week and the oven knob broke the first time I turned on the oven. Called customer service and offered to provide pictures of new stove that anyone would understand has never been used and pictures of the box that is still on my porch and they said they would not help. I would hope a company that sells a 7500.00 stove would provide some help. I will look for a company next time that cared about what they sell. I will never buy another Thermador again and I would suggest you find a brand that cares about what they sell.

Thermador SC302T Double built-in ovens. - There have to be the worst appliances for parts availability, reliability and service. You pay Cadillac prices and end up with Yugo reliability. Although the oven is now 12 years old, during this time, it has been nothing but trouble. After the first year, the display started to fade until it was gone. Clearly, someone decided to save 1/10 of a cent per oven by using poor tolerance capacitors in a hot environment. Hey, they made an extra cent, and the customer had to pay 125 dollars for the part and a couple of hundred for a service call. Fast forward two years, same story. The second unit died a couple of years later. By this time, there were no replacements, so I sat with a dark screen for a couple of years. Some time, Thermador changed hands and BSH started making the displays, AND control panel as a unit for 450 dollars. The upper oven temperature was failing, due to the temperature control module. I purchased the board and control, and made the replacement myself. Im sure that in another 2 years, it will need to be replaced again by which time I suspect the parts will be obsolete and unavailable.

If the other 300+ poor reviews dont deter you, perhaps this one will. I purchased a 6 burner range top from Pacific Sales along with a double convection oven. Out of the box, one of the burner keeps clicking and sparking. I phoned Thermador customer service immediately, they gave me an authorized tech. I called, he came and determined it must be a spark module problem. He returned to basically disassemble the entire stove, replacing not only the spark module, but wires as well. Took over 2 hours of trying to figure out the problem That didnt work. I felt I had the right as a customer to not have my new kitchen torn apart to figure a problem that lies with the manufacturer. I called and wrote to supervisors to evoke lemon law. No, they tell me that I needed to allow them 3 to 4 times to willy-nilly take apart the range and not figure out the issue. I rejected this. After 2 weeks of letter writing, emailing, and phone conversations, I agreed to let them do another repair. The tech they sent has been here for over an hour as I write this review, still trying to figure out the issue as if my stove is some sort of test for the tech. Really Thermador? Im just waiting for them to make good on their promise of replacing the range. Oh the tech they sent just knocked over a part and scratched up my brand new cabinet.

We got an error message on our Thermador range (Product Number PRL486JDG) today. A circuit breaker was flipped by accident and this caused the error message. We called Thermador for help, and the solution they offered did not work. Service is scheduled for 12/2, so I dont have my oven for Thanksgiving! I purchased a $6250 (current retail price) 30 inch freezer column in 2009 when we built our home. 18 months after installation, the ice maker ceased working. No warranty. The freezer failed to cool 6 weeks ago. The part necessary to rectify the problem was also not covered -- just like the ice maker. We opted not to replace the ice maker, which would have resulted in a $700 charge and we paid approximately $350 to repair the current issue. It is unacceptable, and really borders on criminal, to incur these types of failures on a unit this new at a high end price point. I have an old GE fridge/freezer in the garage that was only several hundred dollars that is still working after 25 years. Shame on Thermador. I have several other Thermador appliances that are suboptimal. The Bosch washer died last Christmas after six service calls. Dont purchase Thermador or Bosch. You will be sorry!

I had purchased Thermador double ovens in 2015 for a kitchen renovation & it was excellent. Moved & purchased Thermador double ovens for a kitchen renovation in 2017 & the NEW DESIGN is HORRIBLE! A fan constantly blows hot air into the kitchen until the oven is turned off & completely cooled down. There are alerts during cooking but the explanation disappears in a split second so if you are not right in front of it, you have no idea what the alert is! The oven timer bings low at its highest setting & ONLY ONCE! The baking mode bakes unevenly so everything needs to be rotated! I’m so incredibly disappointed! Customer service is as disappointing as the double ovens!

When we built this house in 1975, we built a space for the Thermador with a single oven, a microwave and a warming drawer. I dont recall when it died or what killed it, but while it required repairs from time to time, it gave us good service for a number of years. Since we had the hole in the wall to fill and were satisfied with Thermador, we bought a modern version of our first Thermador for about $5000.00!! Another way to say that is that we bought a piece of CRAP from a company that doesnt give a rats ass about their stuckees. Our microwave failed. I called Thermador. Not only could they not sell me a replacement, the customer service rep would not even tell me where or how to get one. We finally found out from other Thermador stuckees, that there are number of name brand replacements that cost only a few hundred dollars. All that is required is a replacement the same size. We had a professional do it and I watched him work with some metal tape to seal the exhaust duct. But there is no electrical work required. It just plugs in to a receptacle inside the cavity which houses it. We ended up with a Whirlpool we got from Lowes. It fits like a glove! We were not so lucky with our main oven. They never got it fixed! The main oven gave us no problem until one evening we had guests over. I set the steaks to broil and a few minutes later, I opened the door to determine that they were cold and uncooked. Our outdoor grill saved the day. Although the oven worked on all other settings I failed on the height setting. Recommended for broiling steak and hamburger. It also failed on sausage. The oven operated on high broil for about 5-6 minutes and then cut itself off. When the door was opened, a huge amount of smoke poured out. A Thermador authorized repairman came out. Mind you this was the first time anyone had been into the oven circuitry since we bought it. He found a clearly amateurish setup where wires were tied together with friction tape. Was that done at the Thermador factory? We were, as I recall beyond the warranty cutoff date. He replaced a circuit board for a couple hundred bucks. That did no good! Then he replaced a Thermocouple for over a hundred bucks. That did no good. This poor guy came at least a half dozen times. Each time he consulted with the Thermador experts on the phone - all to no avail. Then he retired! The authorized repair company sent another guy out. He played with it for a couple hour and finally concluded that the owners manual was wrong in their instructions on where to put the meat. He noted that the steaks could be placed on a lower rack, like rack 4 instead of 6 and the steaks would do just as well. And that contrary to what the manual said and contrary to the fact that it worked fine using the recommended settings prior to the first failure - that was the way this clown insisted the oven was supposed to work. With that he came up with a $250 bill for his time. That was about a year ago. I hope hes still holding his breath. Each failure was accompanied by a tremendous amount of smoke. There is no internal exhaust system, but the experts couldnt explain the smoke accompanying the failure. I dont have the answer but we have found that while we get a failure and a lot of smoke and a failure with the rack at level 6. Hi Broil. We get no failure and less smoke (of course) with the rack set at level 6 Hi Convection Broil. So through no fault of Thermador, we can broil steaks almost like the user manual recommends.

We purchased a suite of Thermador appliances when we built our new home in Autumn of 2011. This is the THIRD ignition we have had to repair. We were told not to use the self-cleaning option because it causes burnout to the ignition. We have not used it but again the ignitor will not light the convection oven, which is the large side. We bought the oven because we like to entertain and nothing is worse than having a house full of people for dinner and the oven just wont light. The store where we purchased the range says go back to Thermador. Thermador says it is not longer under warranty. Very unsatisfied to have spent such a large amount on an appliance to have it unreliable. Will never buy another Bosch product nor will I recommend to anyone.

We purchased a Thermador Pro Harmony 36 range in 2010 and have been disappointed with it ever since. It was purchased as part of a kitchen remodel package and all 3 Thermador appliances purchased have been replaced over the 7 years we had them, except our oven which only performs sporadically. The griddle stopped working after a year, the circuit board has been replaced, the burner ignitors have been replaced, the broiler function no longer works and the oven door hinges no longer work to keep the door shut. We literally have to push a stool up against the door when we use the oven to keep the door closed. Thermador says they no longer make hinges since the oven is discontinued. And, they couldnt even provide me the name of a parts company to order new hinges. Apparently the hinges are no longer available, anywhere! They are worthless! DO NOT BUY THERMADOR!

Thermador Dual Supply Range - PD484GGEBS-4 burnerOur Thermador Oven stopped working (oven) due to what they called a control board short issue. Thermador has no record for this issue and we were routed to a local repair (Gourmet Appliances). This was after 4 years of use. The control board materials to replace it was about $800 and installation just over $1000.Now after 5 years after a normal cleaning mode, the oven switched to automatically release the door after cleaning and was stuck. We are really concerned over the quality of this product; a professional series product. I have saved the original control board if you wish to pursue. I also urge action against Thermador for their quality problems and lack of quality service.

My 2-year-old $2,700 glass Thermador cooktop has begun to look like an old wall mirror. The black continues to spread and mar the meticulously maintained surface. It was not an easy decision to buy such an expensive appliance, but I had just remodeled my kitchen and love to cook; so, I splurged. Big mistake with Thermador. It was a process of over a month with continued correspondence. Finally, they agreed to replace the glass, but not to pay for the installation. How absurd! It was no fault of mine that they produced a defective cooktop. I already paid to have it installed when I purchased it! I guess I am keeping my fingers crossed that this one will not need to be replaced and installed again in another two years; furthermore, it took over a month to convince them to at least pay for the glass.I also purchased two Wolf ovens and a Liebherr refrigerator. I had problems with both of them as well, but unlike Thermador, their customer service departments were amazing. The warranties were out of coverage as well, but they stood behind their name and all was immediately replaced and installed at no charge! Stay away from Thermador!!!

We recently purchased a Thermador oven and paid over $10k for it. It has been cooking very unevenly - undercooked on one side, burnt on the other. The burners also function unevenly. The process of getting it serviced has been a nightmare. Thermador, through Bosch, has been unresponsive, inflexible, and unwilling to resolve quickly. We bought a thermador 48 dual fuel oven 6 years ago. Every year we have had major problems and spent thousands repairing the oven to no avail. We have had the main board replaced twice, fan switches, heating elements, and a variety of other things. We have not been able to cook one holiday meal in the oven, we have had to resort to the BBQ and the toaster. It looks like this year is the same, code 43 is blinking which means I need to spend another 700$ on the oven. Thermador has been terrible to deal with, they really dont care. This time I am not spending the money to repair it. I am throwing this thing in the trash and getting a different brand. This is a terrible product made by a horrible company with third rate engineers and an insensitive work force. I can only hope that other good hardworking people dont spend their money on anything that comes from the thermador company.

I bought a suite of Thermador appliances a year and a half ago. Had issue with the oven and did NOT like their repairman. Recently our microwave handle began to peel. The foil covered a plastic handle which attaches to the front of the door. I actually cut my pinky opening the door from the foil. I found that I cannot get a warranty for it as it is over 9 months old. This will definitely happen again from stove heat and steam from the burner. It took over two months for the part to come in. I did not pay as this was under the 2 year warranty that came with it but I will pay next time probably almost 200$ to replace it. Should I just buy a new Microwave? Pathetic

Just read about the experience of another consumer of thermador oven appliance. I had the same experience about 6 years ago with my relatively new thermador wall oven (MEDES/01). During a cleaning cycle, the bottom oven glass completely shattered. Could have been dangerous if I had been nearby. Shame on Thermador for not fixing this problem! Otherwise the oven has been good, even if a bit confusing at times to use due to the electronic panel (which also had to be replaced early on). Now after about 6 years, the lower oven heating element has stopped working, so I have called a local repair company. No problems with my Thermador warming oven! I love it!

I purchased a 48 dual fuel Thermador range on July 20th 2016. It is now September 22nd and it still does not work. The first problem after setting up making connections and checking for gas leaks I found the third valve from the left had a gas leak at the main manifold. So the process of repair begins. What a mess.I call the authorized service facility four times trying to communicate with the repair technician so he would be able to order parts prior to traveling 110 mile to look at problem then return waiting 7-10 shipping days, two weeks, to get the part then make a return trip. After the fourth call I was told I had to call between 8:00 and 8:30 to be able to talk with the repairman. FINE! So I call the next day and explain where the leak is. He orders parts. After two and a half weeks he makes the trip. Upon removal and disassembly he sees, Yep I was correct. Then he opens box at job site. I remind you Im a 110 miles from the service station. So WRONG PART! Back to plan B.I chew on them and they promise to expedite the correct part and open the box prior to leaving the shop. I receive a call after one and a half weeks. They have the part and the box was opened and its correct. I am scheduled for the following Tuesday. So Monday arrives and I receive a call stating my parts will be on Thursday and Im scheduled for the following Tuesday. NO NO NO! Im scheduled for tomorrow. Nothing can be done no part! The serviceman arrives a week late and makes the repair. Before he leaves we have troubles with the two XLO burners on the two outsides of the stove top. He says I have a power problem and it was up to me to fix. Im an electrician and told him I didnt believe that. He returns to the shop. I pull the range back out and test. NO power problem! I try the small left-hand oven and I get ERROR TEMP PROBE, call some 1-800 number so I do. Yep Im in need of service. So back to the service station I go. Ive received a call stating the part is in. However the serviceman is on vacation until October 2nd and Im scheduled for the 4th.Ive tried several calls direct to Thermador. The last call I was told I would receive a call back on what they plan to do about this problem. This is the fourth day and no return call. I just want this thing out of my house and Im done with it! Outside of an attorney Im not sure what I am able to do. Im going to call consumer reports next. DONT ever buy one of these! Terrible quality control and even worse service network!

ProGrand oven and range - My wife and I bought this range that was a dream
ProGrand oven and range - My wife and I bought this range that was a dream of my wifes, which now has turned out to be her worst NIGHTMARE!!!!!!!!! We had it installed in our remodeled kitchen. Looks really nice, but for the most part so does a bookend. The range part works well but the oven is a joke. The only thing it cooks good is our bank account...! The wonderful people at Thermador thought they had better way to light a oven, putting a delay of so many seconds on the gas valve, before it lights... Thus filling your oven full of gas and when it lights, which you have a 50/50 chance that it might, the door on the oven jumps out a bit as it is now lit... For how long it stays going is a crapshoot. If you are cooking a roast that will take over a hour, forget it. It wont relight to keep at temp. But the fun part of it is the temp on the dial shows whatever the temp you set it at! Open the oven and its around 100 degrees. NICE! It is what it is and thats JUNK!We had a company who was great repairing the Wonderful PRO-Grand, new name should be PRO Crap, but anyway the repairman found a missing part in the oven. Called the Company and got the repair tech on the phone, who stated, We do not sell that Part... Now three weeks later the repair company going to bat for me, got the people at Thermador to send us the part. Which in fact they forgot to install at the so-called Factory! Wonderful the problem fixed right?????? NOPE! Installed that part and the oven is still doing the same thing...! Anyway not wanting to see the Nice repairman again for awhile we started using the barbecue as our new oven!Works great keeps the temp right and it only cost $300.00. Pro Grand $6000.00 Plus.... Is there something wrong with this picture????? Now we are getting close to the end of this Saga.....! Bit the bullet and called the Nice Repairman. Was like old home week for the first three minutes, but he got the Pro Grand apart could not figure it out and call the Factory Tech. His name is Mr. Confused. Was told what was happening and he could not figure it out either.....! So the Nice Repairman asked, Why do we need this delay on the gas and light it like the broiler lights? which is right now... Doesnt figure does it.....! DA. Okay, now one great-minded repairman and one confused Factory Tech tells the Nice Repairman, You mean like the Older Pro Grands? Yes, the OLD ONE!!!!!!! Yes!!!! Factory Tech the Old tried and true Lights every time system. Okay, the Confused Factory Tech says... Now we wait!!!!!!! Nice repairman leaves to find out what he needs as far as parts and if he really is right... Yes he was!!!!! Mr. Nice Repairman got all the new stuff ordered and now I have to Open my wallet again to pay the Nice Repair Company...! The cost of this repair was Only $475.80 thus bring up the total cost of repairs to $1065.71 Pro Grands final repair total. Dont waste your time with Thermador thinking they will stand behind the product. The Fact is they wont....! For those of you who dont know this Thermador is owned by Bosch...... !

I build my kitchen around Thermador appliances... I received my range in December. It kept turning off after 10 min could not use self clean etc. Tech came out to fix...but after coming 3 times with no success my place of purchase decided to replace the whole range. I received a new 60 inch range 2017 model. They dropped it off without installing the unit...so I had someone come who I paid to do install. After install I was getting a cooling fan error. I had tech come again and he arrived after his second visit. He arrived with wrong part. A week later arrived again with wrong part...then called to say he would have to come back because he wasnt able to move unit by himself. Now another appointment a week later. He arrived with a pump to lift oven but wasnt strong enough to lift it...so lucky I was there. I helped him move the oven to install cooling fan. While oven was out I asked if he can pls raise the legs in the back about an inch so unit can be flush with tile. His response was its not my job. After all this and to say its not my job was very annoying...so now he installs fan but Im still receiving same error. I called again. They are sending same the same guy out with a helper. The day of repairs I get a call saying his helper could not get out of his driveway due to snow...really...but I was able to leave house with the same area snow. Now its end of March still no oven. 4 months without an oven to use and taking my wifes taken 10 days off work for them to come and fix. Horrible service. People whatever you do stay away from Thermador. Im am now going to place of purchase and asking them to remove all Thermador stuff from my home. I will be buying Wolf and Sub-Zero. Not sure of the issues I will be having if any with them but it cant be worse than Thermador...worst customer service I have ever come across. Also I paid like 20k for this range. My old oven I believe was a Miele. Ive had for 15 years without an issue. All I can say is stay far away.

It buckles under the weight and the rollers come off the track. Also the cycle times are extremely long. I called Thermador and the customer rep told me they have received calls about the bottom rack problem. But the company has not bothered to correct the problem by redesigning the basket. Do not buy this dishwasher.

We bought a high-end double wall oven because my wife loves to bake. Within the first year, it started having problems and Thermador sent out multiple repairmen to fix it. All claimed it was fixed but the same problems returned. The door will not close and the motherboard is fried. This thing is a piece of garbage and any appliance store that sells it such as Spencers TV and Appliance should be questioned for having such garbage in their store.

I have a Thermador Professional Oven purchased in 1995. It still looks like new but the broiler and the cleaning functions failed because of the failure of a 5 button switch on the stove front. This switch is no longer made. Thermador says they are not legally responsible to carry the part after 10 years. The fix seems simple but cant be done and Thermador has washed its hands of finding a fix. This seems to me inexcusable. Dont buy Thermador.

I purchased a top of the line Thermador microwave, oven and warming drawer
I purchased a top of the line Thermador microwave, oven and warming drawer at the end of January 2019. The microwave did not work from installation. The repair man couldnt fix it after 2 months of working with him and Thermador. In the meantime, the repair man reinstalled the oven door poorly and it does not completely close. The warming drawer also does not heat evenly. After 2 plus months working with Thermador management, which never responds or finds resolution, and their certified repair companies, I am still without a microwave, oven and warming drawer that work properly.I have asked for my money back and they insist that I continually waste my time on the phone and at home waiting for someone to figure out how to repair the problem. I have a full time job and cannot spend endless days on trial and error. The management does not reach out to me with a better solution. I have to chase them. Each time there is a new person/manager with no follow up. When you pay that much money for quality, you would expect top notch products and customer service. Stay away from Thermador. You can find much better for a lesser price and better quality.

Let me count the ways I am fed up with Thermador. I purchased a package of expensive thermador appliances. The oven has not worked since the day I bought it—2 years ago. The service is next to non existent. Was supposed to have a service call today and when I called the service # (after being on hold over half an hour) and asked to speak to the supervisor, the rep hung up. Can’t speak with anyone with authority to do something. Can’t believe I will actually have to purchase a new oven

I purchased a french door refrigerator & paid over 6k for it. I have to call the one & only repair man (who is authorized to fix it) every year since Ive gotten it. It has not cost me over 10k for this refrigerator. The customer service is also horrible. The technician has to come in to diagnose the issue, order the part (which takes a week or so) then come back again to install. Usually a 3 week fix. How do you expect your customer to be without a working refrigerator for 3 weeks! The only authorized technician also dont want to come & fit it because he said it is just a huge hassle to fix. It has so many issues: ie. Ice maker had to be replaced twice at a cost of $500.00 for the parts, twice, the sensor panel went bad & totally froze the entire cooling unit. Now my freezer section does not freeze causing me to throw out hundreds of dollar of food! Dont buy it!

We remodeled our kitchen and purchased Thermador appliances to the tune of $18,000. I cant remember being more disappointed. The $8000 refrigerator arrived with rust on the handles. The local service contractor sent by Thermador to replace the handles scratched the panel necessitating service visits 2 and 3 within our first few weeks of ownership. Not long after the panels were replaced, the ice maker stopped working. Three additional service visits later, we still dont have ice. Weve owned the appliances for a little over two months, have had six service calls, each requiring that we give a three hour window. The ice maker has worked a grand total of about 10 days in those two months. Calls to Thermadors customer service department prove to be most unsatisfactory as they dont return promised phone calls. Who knows if well ever get ice. Im thanking my lucky stars that we purchased the retailers extended service agreement for all our appliances. I would recommend that you look elsewhere for your premium appliances as Thermadors customer service is undoubtedly not up to par for appliances in this price range.

Been having trouble with my Thermador PRL304EG ever since I have had it sin
Been having trouble with my Thermador PRL304EG ever since I have had it since 2006. Main electronic board after board, repair man cant put the finger on the issue. Maybe if parts were not made in China... They could make better ranges. Oven stops heating, or decides what it wants to do. I got a lemon in Thermador, or did I?? Probably all then same little cheap ranges... wont put their pants on and just replace unit. Repair cost for a Thermador is like 600.00 to $1000 a year (at least 2 services a year). If you want my advice, stay away from Thermador, because they sure do! Run Thermador run. Range should be giving me repair codes, but never in 10 years did it give any codes, not even once.

I have to say that I purchased this range with great expectations thinking
I have to say that I purchased this range with great expectations thinking that Thermador had such a wonderful reputation; however, I am extremely disappointed in the performance of the larger oven. We had a small dinner party catered, and it would not hold the heat to finish preparing the dinner on her large sheet pans. Ive had problems with the lights not working intermittently, so I decided to replace the bulbs (which the manual states is a DIY maintenance item). This is not a DIY job because you have to crawl into the oven to reach them (there are 2 of them in the larger oven), and in order to do it properly, you pretty much have to remove the oven door. Suffice it to say that I now have to call a repairman to put the door back on. The first and only time I tried to clean the oven. The amperage on the circuit is exactly that specified by Thermador.

We have purchased a full range of new Thermador appliances from Howard’s.
We have purchased a full range of new Thermador appliances from Howard’s. We were instructed to make full payment for everything in July to ensure we get all our appliances in time for installation by end August. We are still waiting for our oven and microwave which we are told is on backorder for end October. They blame it on Thermador slow production. Why take our money if they can’t deliver? Calling Thermador to complain is the most horrific experience to go through. They keep you on hold for more than an hour and then cut you off. Twice!!! We have made a terrible mistake going with this brand, I can just imagine how their after sales experience is going to be if this is still pre-installation?!
