Thermador PRL366EG Pro Range - This was supposed to be my dream range. Saved forever to buy it. Replaced a GE stove, which we donated to the fire department, with this piece of junk! The FD is still using the GE and Ive had two burners repaired and Im on my 4th oven repair in 6 years. Same problem on the oven; cant seem to get it fixed. The oven heats up but doesnt maintain temperature. Bake a pie at 450 for 15 minutes then reduce the temperature to 350 to finish the baking and the oven turns itself off, though the indicator light says heating. The technician cant seem to replicate the problem. If I turn the oven off, wait five minutes and then turn it back on the oven will come back up to the correct temp. One suggestion made by the service dept was to just turn the oven off and wait and then turn it back on every time I needed to reduce the temp in a recipe. Really? I tried to stay calm and explain why that was not possible and why I should not have to do that with a range that cost me $6000!!! So parts have been ordered (again) but there is no guarantee that this will be the fix. And a phone call to Thermador did no good, either. Keeping my fingers crossed that these parts are the cure since my technician is working diligently to resolve this for me.Would never, ever buy nor recommend a Thermador again. It would be great if when someone does find a fix to a noted problem, they could post the solution. Might help others.

Got a lemon. Simple as that. Brand new $6,500.00 stove not functioning properly, on broil or bake, intense amount of heat and smoke coming from stove after it is heated. I do have a good vent system and must have it on, otherwise I would have the alarm go off for all the smoke that builds up and seeps out of oven. After 2 technicians I am told the blower element needs to be replaced. Brand new stove and parts need to be replaced??? Unacceptable!!! Newly installed and after a few uses with manufacturing defects it should not be considered safe to use. Thermador is only willing to replace parts and not replace.

I purchased 3 Thermador appliances in 2015 when I remodeled my first Thermador kitchen, which I LOVED. First: the new wall oven, model MED271JS, the narrowest oven they make at 27 wide, does not heat properly. It beeps that it has reached the set temp., but actually is 50 degrees (more or less) below the set temp. Baking cookies is a crap shoot as to whether they will be flat, indicating too low an oven temp. and that is what I usually get...flat cookies. I have not been able to consistently correct this problem. Roasting is also unpredictable. I have ruined many of very expensive meals due to the temp problem.I have had our local Thermador repair people out 3-4 times to address the inconsistent heating problem. They were unable to correct the issue and told me that new ovens now take longer (up to 30 minutes) to preheat an oven, and that this oven was operating as it should. Also, the oven cannot be set to start at a later time. It does have a Sabbath mode, but that has to be scheduled the day before I want to start up the oven, which for me is useless. So the oven does not heat properly and has no TIME BAKE setting. I will not purchase a Thermador product for my new house that we are building.Second: the cooktop SGSX365FS, cooks beautifully. Temps are easy to control, but cleaning is a bear. The star shaped burners make cleaning far more difficult than round ones, but the shape does cover the bottom of pots better than round ones. And the glass plate under the knobs is not sealed to the cooktop, and is not removable to clean spills that flow underneath it! Now there is thoughtful engineering. I use a pipe cleaner to sort of clean the under surface. Lastly, the micro-convection microwave-oven combination unit, model MCES, works as expected. We often use it to bake small meals and the temp is far more predictable than in the main oven... It does not bake bakery very well but that is not recommended by Thermador. My first Thermador kitchen was beautiful and fabulous to use. Current Thermador products are sorely lacking. Sad.

I love this Thermador refrigerator; we have previously owned GE, which I did like as much. I like the double door top section versus side by side and the GE did not hold up as well. However, the freezer could be larger. Nevertheless, the unit is easy to clean and easy to store items.

After purchasing our Thermador Range, Model # PRD366GHU in 2011, the oven has stopped working on multiple occasions. Only to finally find out, from the most recent service tech, that there is a design flaw in the range and the heat of the oven when its in self-clean mode, trips a high-temp cut off, leaving the oven inoperable until the cut off is reset. So after spending all of the money that this high-end brand charges, youd expect some sort of resolution from Thermador customer support... not so fast. They have started a file, not approved reimbursement of the service calls and I continue to chase them after being promised callbacks. This seems to be a serious defect in this range, with multiple complaints regarding this very same issue. There appears to be no work around, other than not using the self-clean mode, REALLY? Consumers be aware. Thermador needs to respond and address this issue with their consumers. Ive totally lost all brand loyalty.

We purchased a complete Thermador package in 2015 that included the side by side fridge and freezer unit approximately $8000.00. The first 18 months, no problems. Then water/ice started to run down the inside of the freezer and interfering with the unit fan. Which then resulted in the temperature rising above freezing. The certified Thermador repair folks have been out at least 6 times and have replaced almost all of the components of the freezer unit usually at a cost of $200 per visit. When working on the unit, they were in voice contact with the Thermador technicians doing what they were told. Each repair lasted 3-4 months and then water and ice began to run down the insides of the unit, same old problem. Thank heavens the local, certified tech is nice to work with and he is totally frustrated with the Thermador experts. I would think Thermador would replace such a defective unit at cost or no cost. But not at this date. Working with the local tech we are going to send an itemized cost of repair to Thermador that has occurred over the past years and see what happens. Will keep you posted.

We purchased a Thermador Pro Grand 60 Range on 4/25/2019 from Ferguson Appliance, 3201 Powell Ave, Nashville, TN 37204. We experienced our first service issue within 6 months and the problems have persisted. Thermador refuses replace the range and continues to put us through misery to maintain this $20,000 appliance. Repair Issue #1 – 10/17/19• Door Gasket on Steam Oven Failed Repair Issue #2– 4/20/20• Stainless steel borders (sides and front) became discolored and pitted. Thermador replaced. Repair Issue #3 – 1/12/21 through 1/26/21 • Complete failure of internal electronic components. • All electronic boards had to be replaced over multiple service calls.• Top griddle warped and had to be replaced. Repair Issue#4 - 3/9/21• Warming drawer display module failed. Still not repaired. Repair Issue #5 – 4/15/21• Rear fans making growling noise. Still not addressed. All warranty work to date has been conducted by Huff Appliance, 1314 Woodland Street, Nashville, TN 37206. Phone (615) 226-2080. On 4/15/21 Huff Appliance stated, “This unit has so many issues that in my opinion this unit is unrepairable.” On 4/26/21 Thermador requested additional information of Huff Appliance on all issues to decide on if they will replace the unit. This process has grown increasingly frustrating, given Thermador has a detailed service record of the repairs which they (Thermador) authorized to date. Our warranty (2 years) has now officially expired, and it appears Thermador is attempting to wash their hands of this issue. We purchased this appliance for daily use and entertaining. Parts have taken weeks and months to arrive. During much of our ownership over two years it has been non-operational (and still is). We understand that given COVID, parts may take longer. Given this was a new unit we should have not been put in this situation. We have zero confidence this unit will not break down again due to its performance history. My wife had double hip replacement surgery 10 days ago and Thermador called this morning telling us they want to send another service agent to our home. Unfortunately we are at a point where we will need to get attorneys involved. Avoid this company at all costs, their customer service is terrible.

When choosing a built-in refrigerator, we considered the Sub-Zero and Thermador. We went with the Thermador because the design was similar to Sub-Zero and it was less expensive. I find the Thermador terribly noisy. In the kitchen, I feel like I am in a giant fish tank and turn on music as often as possible to drown out the sound. Its been a huge quality of life downgrade. As soon as we can afford to replace it, we will!

I too have a Thermador hood range PSE36US which we purchased in 2005. I also spent an additional $650 for the powerful blower to go along with the hood. I bought this product, thinking I was making a permanent purchase to install into my custom kitchen. I was sadly wrong. The buttons quit working for the lights along with some of the speed buttons for the fan. Then the housing that contained the circuit board with the buttons broke. The local appliance parts store I use told me that Thermador was the absolute worst company for parts, and in many cases, he refuses to deal with them because of their customer service. After some ordeal, I finally got to order both of these items. The circuit board was shipped and the housing is on backorder. Its going on three months, and all I can get is that the part is on backorder with no due date for the housing. I even wrote to the headquarters company in France with no response. Im going to have to somehow jerry rig the housing in order to close the filtering area. My advice to potential purchasers is to do your homework and research the company you are about to do business with. This will, no doubt, be the last Thermador product I will ever own. Dont be fooled by how pretty the product looks if you want something that can last. Its all about longevity, repair and service.

We had our kitchen completely renovated in 2007. We installed a complete spectrum of Thermador products: Pro Grand Dual fuel range, dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, warming drawer and wall oven. This week, we will have our eighth repair visit. The range (4x) has been worst but the MW and the refrigerator have also failed. The failures have been the same as the other ones listed below, including the side oven heating element explosion. Do not buy Thermador. Interestingly, my detailed email complaint bounced back to me today as undeliverable, yet I got the regional managers name and address on the Thermador website an hour earlier.

I bought these ovens two years ago and two weeks ago they died. I need some kind of panel and a control panel, which will not be available for another 3 weeks. I purchased more than $20,000 worth of Thermador appliances in 2007 for a whole kitchen remodel. Fortunately, I also purchased an extended warranty as well. The oven was installed in June 2007. The first problem within the first week was when the ignitor for large oven was not working properly, and nearly made the oven explode. Since that time, I have had over 10 service calls for the same problem. The large and small ovens are not working, and the x-lo burners are not working, or not cycling off and on as well. I have had ignitors replaced, and control boards replaced, numerous times (ignitor gap adjustments, etc.), all to no avail. It works for two or three months, then stops working altogether. This was my third ruined Thanksgiving dinner. I told Maytag (the extended warranty company) that I wanted a replacement oven. They pretty much laughed at me. Unless the same item has been replaced three times within a calendar year, they will not replace it,and theyll only fix it. At this point, after reading all of these complaints, I dont think it would do me much good to get a new one, because they apparently only make junk, which will obviously not work anyway. Not what I had hoped for, out of an $8,000.00 stove. I placed a complaint with the BBB, but there were already four on there that had not been responded to by Thermador. What a surprise. I can not believe that this company is getting away with this. Isnt there a law against knowingly selling faulty equipment? Buyers beware! Now, I am stuck with an oven that cost as much as a used car, and I will have to continue to pay for an extended warranty, just so I dont get stuck with the bi-monthly repair bills.

Bought a new Thermador refrigerator from Ferguson’s in May 2014. This being Hawaii, had to wait for delivery. You learn patience in Hawaii, so I was ok with that. But I had to pay full price plus shipping upfront. Not too happy about that. Finally got the refrigerator installed in July 2014. Loved it. Didnt care that it was $10,000, since it worked great and ease of use. Icemaker was efficient and made plentiful ice. Then, in late October, the icemaker just stopped working. Only one repair shop would come to our side of the island (20 min drive). I had to wait a month for the appointment. Still, I have learned patience, so I waited. Repairman was great. He found that there was a factory defect - a short in the electrical wiring inside the wall of the freezer unit. Cant be repaired, so he called Thermador and told them (actually he insisted) that they needed to replace the refrigerator. He told me they would be contacting me. I wait another month. Today I get a call from Thermador (message on my phone) that they cannot replace the refrigerator, as they cannot be expected to ship it to Hawaii. WHAT?? They will give a credit for the unit to Ferguson’s. Excuse me? I paid for the refrigerator, I called for the repair. This does not bode well. Is this just another way of forcing me to pay for shipping and installation again? I dont really want to deal with Ferguson’s again, as once the sale is made, its like a personality change on the salesmen. This credit thing should be interesting..... I know Im screwed. Ah well, the refrigerator still works, as does the freezer. I just buy bags of ice at the grocery and dump them in the ice bin. A previous complainant mentioned a class action lawsuit. Im in. I anticipate a major run-around on this. Customer service is terrible and they dont back up their product. And everyone on this website paid a lot more than was needed for the appliance that has failed them.

I have a double wall oven (SCD302ZS) that is a piece of junk. I bought this thing brand new and paid a substantial amount for it. We have nothing but problems; the control panel has been replaced three times (at $300 per panel) and it still doesnt work. You cant read the numbers on it (i.e., the clock, the temperature). If you set the panel flush on the wall like its supposed to be, it doesnt work so you have to leave the panel hanging off the wall about 1/4 in order for the buttons to work. The elements have been replaced once, but the bottom oven still wont work. Today, the convection fan and light will come on in both the upper and bottom ovens but it wont heat up. Piece of junk! Dont bother calling Thermador, they will do nothing. We fought with them over the control panels, wrote letters to the headquarters and got nowhere. They dont care. Do not buy Thermador. I have one more brand new control panel for this piece of junk. If anyone is interested in buying it, Ill sell it for less than it cost me.

We recently purchased a Thermador oven and paid over $10k for it. It has been cooking very unevenly - undercooked on one side, burnt on the other. The burners also function unevenly. The process of getting it serviced has been a nightmare. Thermador, through Bosch, has been unresponsive, inflexible, and unwilling to resolve quickly. Weve had three service calls and the oven has gotten worse. Charles ** is our rep at Bosch and had been ineffective, and Ferguson appliances in Dallas was the showroom and has been unresponsive. Terrible, I would never recommend this to anyone.

We remodeled our home of twenty-plus years and bought a 30 Thermador Pro Harmony gas range. One of the first times we used the oven we accidentally spilled some liquid on the front of it with the oven door open - it shorted out a circuit board that should have been protected. This was fixed very quickly under warranty and had no further problems with it.Sold that house and bought another that needed a whole new kitchen. Bought a 36 Thermador Pro Harmony range and love it, no problems at all so far 1.5 years later. Along with that got the free dishwasher, Thermador though its made by Bosch, works beautifully, quiet. Also have the 36 Thermador French Door, bottom freezer refrigerator with NO in-door water or ice to keep things simple. Its gorgeous, with brilliant LED lighting and lots of storage. With it came the free range hood that is strong and has good lighting, easy to clean grease filters. To finish things off we purchased the Thermador drawer microwave which we were a little leery of, but have grown to love it. No more awkward reaching into a wall-mounted unit, we pluck everything out of the drawer! No turn-table but do not miss it.The 36 range has very flush grates making it easy to move pots around. The burners are very strong with great low simmer capabilities. The oven works well with roller bearing glides on the racks making them a breeze to pull in and out, even with the Thanksgiving turkey. Would definitely recommend Thermador to anyone, given our experience.

I purchased my Thermador side by side refrigerator in 2010 (along with an oven and microwave wall unit). Recently, my refrigerator has started to malfunction. I called their customer service center and had them give me numbers (at least 8) for authorized repair centers. This proved useless as not even a Thermador certified technician will come to work on my unit. After several phone calls to the Thermador customer service number and reminding them that they guarantee after-warranty service anywhere in Canada, they asked me to provide photos proving that I, in fact, owned a Thermador fridge. This ludicrous request being met (who would waste time and energy calling a Thermador 1-800 number if they owned another brand), they now say that I actually need to call Whirlpool because it is Whirlpool that makes this Thermador fridge. This company is not even willing to take ownership and responsibility of their very own branded product. A product for which they put their stamp on and charge big money. They have passed the problem onto someone else!!

I was led into buying a complete Thermador kitchen when I remodeled. I got top of the line Thermador Freedom tower fridge/freezer at $6000, 40 double oven at $3000, stainless dishwasher, forget price, and a range top. The stove top is the only one still functioning after three years. Every other unit has failed multiple times, both in and out of warranty. None of the issues were ever addressed by Thermador. The oven was so broken I got a credit card refund after a long dispute over 18 months after the purchase date. As a software engineer, I can tell that all these problems are from poorly written software. The behavior is characteristic of inexperienced developers and poor error handling. I contacted the Western US distributor director and suggested that he contact me if he wanted some objective feedback on the oven problems.I had a conference call with Thermador engineers and they truly had no idea how an oven controller is supposed to work. They claimed that the oven knew better what temperature to use than the user and as such it never got hot enough. Apparently, it second-guesses the cook and decides on some other temperature based on a combination of sensor readings. The freezer failed after about 14 months when the ice maker unit self destructed and was going to cost 40% of a new freezer to fix. I declared time of death on the fridge when the main controller ceased communicating with any of the peripherals. I had been diligently replacing them as they failed but once the brain died, it was over, too much money to replace. The dishwasher, well, who ever thought a dishwasher needed an on/off button? With Thermador, you need one so you can reboot it frequently when it locks up. I guess this is the least problematic unit. All the plastic gizmos for flip up trays, etc. have all broken off in the the first six months. OK, I lied, this ones still working. 1 out of 3, after a > $10K outlay. Never again.

Thermador SC302T Double built-in ovens. - There have to be the worst appliances for parts availability, reliability and service. You pay Cadillac prices and end up with Yugo reliability. Although the oven is now 12 years old, during this time, it has been nothing but trouble. After the first year, the display started to fade until it was gone. Clearly, someone decided to save 1/10 of a cent per oven by using poor tolerance capacitors in a hot environment. Hey, they made an extra cent, and the customer had to pay 125 dollars for the part and a couple of hundred for a service call. Fast forward two years, same story. The second unit died a couple of years later. By this time, there were no replacements, so I sat with a dark screen for a couple of years. Some time, Thermador changed hands and BSH started making the displays, AND control panel as a unit for 450 dollars. The upper oven temperature was failing, due to the temperature control module. I purchased the board and control, and made the replacement myself. Im sure that in another 2 years, it will need to be replaced again by which time I suspect the parts will be obsolete and unavailable.

I purchased a complete kitchen, stove, double oven, refrigerator, wine cooler, beer fridge and dishwasher 2 years ago, close to $ 40,000. I wish I never did it, this company is a complete joke: Beer fridge never worked properly from the 2nd month, hasnt been on at all in last 6 months, customer service is non-existent, thats the kindest way I can state it. They tell me every month or so to unplug it and let it re set (pull the brand new fridge out of the cabinet and unplug it!!) Horrible. Regular fridge had ice problems in freezer from day 1 and water condensation issues in fridge. No solution offered by their service dept, they tell me its sophisticated software and has to be allowed to work these problems out over time!!Cant use double oven, it actually works but it loudly blows hot air into kitchen raising house temp 5 degrees. So you cant use it and entertain in the kitchen at the same time. Cant stress enough for the same money or less, try the other big brands, this one you will definitely regret. They will not help you with the repair, they take your call, tell you someone will contact you, no one does, then they get agitated with you when you follow up. It pretty amazing, cant believe there isnt more negative comments about the product quality and service.

I purchased the side by side fridge and freezer in 2011. The ice maker immediately stopped working so it was replaced. The new ice maker would then jam up and cause me to take the drawer out and manually break up the ice. Ive spent over $500 in repair costs to try to get this fixed and nobody has an answer. I get more annoyed each time I have to do it as you could imagine. Ive contacted Thermador support multiple times on this matter. Each time they deny my request for action on their end. Ive spent well over $25k on Thermador appliances. ILL NEVER GIVE ANOTHER DOLLAR TO THIS COMPANY. Highly overrated and overpriced. Good riddance.

Bought 6 Thermador appliances 2012 for 20,000$ dollars. Family of 2 retired persons. We had one service on the dishwasher after 2 years. Just called for repair on the fan end the oven. They are asking 800$/parts and 500$/labor for a total of 1300$ +taxes. Find it outrageous, unreliable appliances. Given that we are good clients, we proposed they offer the parts for free we will pay the labor. After 2 calls, they asked for a written request which we did. After waiting 3 weeks for an answer, we called back to be told that the decision had been given the following week, but they are too busy to call their clients back. CONCLUSION: UNRELIABLE APPLIANCES / EXECRABLE SERVICE. CHOOSE SOMETHING ELSE.

I own several Thermador appliances from our newly purchased renovated home. The self standing products such as fridge seems to work fine. But any appliances that are connected to external factors (kitchen hood, stove or dish washer) have all caused problems. To make the situation worse, they have the most unwilling to help customer service only next to the cable companies. It took me a total of 6 full months of calling them every week to finally have them send a real technician that told us what we all knew from the beginning - that our kitchen hood motor is bad. The first few that were sent out had told me that our internal motor is missing when the model itself never had internal motor, or said it was the electricians fault, which I had paid for different electrician only to find out that the wiring was normal and working. I found out that those technicians were fired after a few weeks and they werent able to send a good one until the next month.About warranty policy: I purchased a newly renovated home where no one had lived here before. The operators I spoke to for the first 5 months have consistently told me that I am covered under warranty since I moved to a newly renovated house. By the time the last technician told me finally that I need to get the motor replaced, I called the customer service again. This time the operator lady told me as soon as I mentioned that I need a replacement product as per the warranty, that suddenly I am no longer under warranty and I should pay for my own. She said that I am merely a new purchaser of the renovated home and I am not considered a legitimate warranty receiver. I wish I could retrieve the previous phone conversations I had with the company. When I demanded to speak with a higher manager she simply put me on hold. For a very, very long time. This is my experience with Thermador. If you thought paying for a large sum for this product will save you from customer service misery, think again. I have had better experience with GE and Samsung products.

TO say I am disappointed in the Thermador Freezer and Fridge would be a understatement. This is a unit that is supposed to be on the same quality level as Sub-Zero and Wolf.... IT IS NOT!! The freezer is 50% icemaker. Meaning that unlike any other, the freezer space is 50% consumed by the Icemaker unit. The ice maker unit is the poorest, worse functioning that I have ever experienced! It clogs most every time used. It produces ice at such a slow rate. Most days by 2 pm it is out of ice. The quality of this very expensive built in is below what you would expect from even a Kenmore, (by this I mean I have never experienced problems with any other past owned freezers) like the failures and design flaws of this overpriced poor performing unit. I have had the service department out 4 times in 11 months. Even the logo fell off the door within 6 months of installation! Stick with wolf or sub-zero. If budget minded... GE Monogram would easily be better that this Thermador.

I bought a suite of Thermador appliances a year and a half ago. Had issue with the oven and did NOT like their repairman. Recently our microwave handle began to peel. The foil covered a plastic handle which attaches to the front of the door. I actually cut my pinky opening the door from the foil. I found that I cannot get a warranty for it as it is over 9 months old. This will definitely happen again from stove heat and steam from the burner. It took over two months for the part to come in. I did not pay as this was under the 2 year warranty that came with it but I will pay next time probably almost 200$ to replace it. Should I just buy a new Microwave? Pathetic

I am the not so proud owner of a Thermador 302 series double wall oven with a malfunctioning right side door hinge and hinge receiver. Thermador no longer manufactures the parts and refused to assist me in locating them. The parts are difficult to find because the same parts are made for different companies using different part numbers and they are not returnable, so if you buy the wrong part youre stuck with it. In my case, the parts amount to about $400 (for stamped metal pieces) and Im neither willing nor able to take that risk. The oven is only 10 years old, which according to Thermadors customer support (or lack thereof) is beyond its life expectancy, and absolves them of any responsibility to support their product. They dont even have a technical support department, who could have told me not to bother spending $100 on a service call because the parts are no longer available. So there you have it folks, if you want a $2,000.00 metal planter, then go with Thermador. Otherwise STAY AWAY! DO NOT BUY THERMADOR PRODUCTS, YOU WILL BE SORRY!!!

We bought a very high end Thermador dishwasher, DWHD630GCM, about 20 months ago. Four weeks ago, its lower pan completely broke so we called their repair service. The repairman told us that its not reparable, but Thermador should replace it because the hinge is not broken and hence the pan could not have been broken by us. We called Thermador to replace this dishwasher, but they flatly refused by saying that there is no manufacturing defect in this dishwasher. It is patently absurd that the bottom pan can break by abnormal use but the corresponding hinge on the door does not break.

We bought a thermador 48 dual fuel oven 6 years ago. Every year we have had major problems and spent thousands repairing the oven to no avail. We have had the main board replaced twice, fan switches, heating elements, and a variety of other things. We have not been able to cook one holiday meal in the oven, we have had to resort to the BBQ and the toaster. It looks like this year is the same, code 43 is blinking which means I need to spend another 700$ on the oven. Thermador has been terrible to deal with, they really dont care. This time I am not spending the money to repair it. I am throwing this thing in the trash and getting a different brand. This is a terrible product made by a horrible company with third rate engineers and an insensitive work force. I can only hope that other good hardworking people dont spend their money on anything that comes from the thermador company.

When I called today to confirm, Thermador had not lodged the service order correctly and the service repairman still did not have the part we needed. I took the day off of work again today. I had to reschedule again for over a week for the next service call. I have now been without a working dishwasher for almost two months. We remodeled 12 years ago. Purchased a Thermador cook top which has only had one issue, the igniter. Easy fix, my husband did it himself. The Thermador 30 inch double oven has had the control panel replaced twice. Once in the first few months, and again 2 years later. It was a hassle getting Thermadors attention. Their authorized repair dealer took a long time to get the parts, both times it took many trips to fix the panel properly. The repair guy showed up with either the new part not working or the incorrect part. The door has always been a problem since the first year we purchased it. Didnt pursue the door problem because frankly, Thermador is a big hassle to deal with. After internet searching on how to repair the ourselves, I see that we were not alone with this door and panel issue. As a side note, we have friends that purchased the same oven; and they have had the control panel go out many times as well! Its too bad Thermador is not held to a higher standard of quality for their expensive high-end products. The consumer is left with practically no recourse with a short time frame on the return policy, installation expense, only a 1 year warranty, in-addition its very difficult to rip an appliance out to return it.

We purchased a Thermador double oven and had it installed the day after Thanksgiving. Seemed ok for the first few weeks but then the bottom oven stopped working. Reset the circuit breaker and the bottom oven turned back on. Went to rotisserie a prime rib on Christmas Eve, rotisserie wouldn’t turn. Ended up using the roast option. Called the appliance store where we bought the oven and Thermador to get a technician to come out. While waiting on parts the upper steamer oven stopped working completely. Resetting the circuit breaker didn’t help. We finally got the bottom oven fixed a couple weeks ago but the technician didn’t know anything about the upper oven problem. So now we wait until the parts arrive for the upper oven. Four months and $8000 worth of disappointment.

Our home came w/a Thermador three piece microwave, warming drawer, and wall oven. The home is now 10 years old and the microwave has stopped working on the three piece unit. I was shocked to learn that you have to replace the entire unit for nearly $6,000 because they no longer make replacement parts. The rep on the phone was nice but explained that in order to keep up w/ technology they dont make replacement parts for things like microwaves. I guess when you buy a Thermador you should remember that it is unlikely you will get replacement parts and if you buy a three piece unit you will need to replace the entire thing if one component breaks. The rep seemed surprised that I would be upset about this... I guess they really only expect their products to last up to 10 years. That isnt very long for such an expensive high-end product. No more Thermadors for me or the new home I am building. Will call the appliance store and change my order stat!

Absolutely stunned at the extreme cost of this and the poor quality of the product. Thermador positions their products as being high-end and good quality, but their products including this freezer are the worst quality I have experienced. The freezer was brand new three months ago but wouldnt come out of demo mode which meant we couldnt use it. They had to send their repairman to come out and take it out of demo mode. He did that and then it turned on but the freezer doesnt get cold enough (meaning liquid ice cream), alarm keeps going of even when the doors are closed, and the ice maker and water system dont work. I called customer service again and they sent a repair guy. He tried some things but couldnt get it all to work so he said he had to leave for his next appointment so suggested we try something else ourself and if that didnt work itd have to be replaced. Guess what? Still didnt work. (And him leaving without resolving it should give you some idea of the customer service support you can expect.) Even after numerous repair appointments, its still not functioning and never has. Its brand new and we have a warranty on it and bought the extended warranty too (since they are so expensive.) Their customer service team has literally been zero help continuing to tell me that they will get back to me with a decision from management within 48 hours. A decision on what? --Whether or not they are willing to replace it or if they are going to send another repair person. Ive heard that line every few days for almost two months. Ive been without a working freezer since it was installed three months ago. After calling to check on the decision, they continue to say they will let management know I called and get back to me with a decision in 48 hours. They are a company that has no intention of honoring their warranties or in providing great quality products like they try to position them as. They dont work, their repair team is not knowledgeable and the customer service team will give you the runaround. Absolutely NOT worth the cost. I will never buy one of their products again.

Thermador Commercial Grade Stove with 6 Burner Gas Range - We have had nothing but problems with this unit since we bought it many years ago. I originally spent around $8,000 for the unit with the overhead hood and fan. Since then I have invested a minimum of another $6,000 in what appears to be bi-annual service calls. The main issues are: 1. Thermador does NOT support their units. They push you to factory authorized service shops. Okay not a big deal - makes sense. 2. My local service rep knows less about the unit than I do (sad statement). The typical response is something on the order of I think its the ???? part. I have to order one - cant guarantee it will fix the problem until I install it. That will be $150 plus $400 for the parts - see you when the part comes in. 3. I have to go to the dealer in the next region and pay him extra travel time to get decent service. Typically he is so busy servicing other Thermador units that he cant get to me for 3-4 weeks. 4. I have replaced the same gas burner control 5 times - thats a $1,000 in parts only. They have now discontinued the part (dont know why, they were making a killing selling them). So the next time it fails I cant use the stove. 5. My most recent event deals with gas leaks at the burners. Im told they no longer make replacements. They dont even know if it can be upgraded. The service shop wont check to see if it is something simple like a valve stem nut or tightening or packing issue. They told me to call Thermador to see what can be done. Nice receptionist at Thermador but no information - cant get to the engineering department to ask intelligent questions.6. Its a shame because the electric oven has worked flawlessly.I think a class action lawsuit is a great idea.

We purchased a Thermador Pro Harmony 36 range in 2010 and have been disappointed with it ever since. It was purchased as part of a kitchen remodel package and all 3 Thermador appliances purchased have been replaced over the 7 years we had them, except our oven which only performs sporadically. The griddle stopped working after a year, the circuit board has been replaced, the burner ignitors have been replaced, the broiler function no longer works and the oven door hinges no longer work to keep the door shut. We literally have to push a stool up against the door when we use the oven to keep the door closed. Thermador says they no longer make hinges since the oven is discontinued. And, they couldnt even provide me the name of a parts company to order new hinges. Apparently the hinges are no longer available, anywhere! They are worthless! DO NOT BUY THERMADOR!

Instead of giving me a new fridge, they have to repair. Also, after spending $26,000 on appliances you would think that the stainless steel used would match. We have purchased a Thermador Professional gas range, electric wall oven and warming drawer. The range and wall oven have given us many issues, particularly the Professional gas range. Seems comical to us that it is referred to as a Professional Series. We very rarely use the range and yet it is the most likely to break down when we do utilize. We have had most (close to all) of the electronics replaced; the ignitors several times! We have just had service once again performed for a measly cost of just under $1,200 and after the first use, the range once again does not work! ProGrand oven and range - My wife and I bought this range that was a dream
ProGrand oven and range - My wife and I bought this range that was a dream of my wifes, which now has turned out to be her worst NIGHTMARE!!!!!!!!! We had it installed in our remodeled kitchen. Looks really nice, but for the most part so does a bookend. The range part works well but the oven is a joke. The only thing it cooks good is our bank account...! The wonderful people at Thermador thought they had better way to light a oven, putting a delay of so many seconds on the gas valve, before it lights... Thus filling your oven full of gas and when it lights, which you have a 50/50 chance that it might, the door on the oven jumps out a bit as it is now lit... For how long it stays going is a crapshoot. If you are cooking a roast that will take over a hour, forget it. It wont relight to keep at temp. But the fun part of it is the temp on the dial shows whatever the temp you set it at! Open the oven and its around 100 degrees. NICE! It is what it is and thats JUNK!We had a company who was great repairing the Wonderful PRO-Grand, new name should be PRO Crap, but anyway the repairman found a missing part in the oven. Called the Company and got the repair tech on the phone, who stated, We do not sell that Part... Now three weeks later the repair company going to bat for me, got the people at Thermador to send us the part. Which in fact they forgot to install at the so-called Factory! Wonderful the problem fixed right?????? NOPE! Installed that part and the oven is still doing the same thing...! Anyway not wanting to see the Nice repairman again for awhile we started using the barbecue as our new oven!Works great keeps the temp right and it only cost $300.00. Pro Grand $6000.00 Plus.... Is there something wrong with this picture????? Now we are getting close to the end of this Saga.....! Bit the bullet and called the Nice Repairman. Was like old home week for the first three minutes, but he got the Pro Grand apart could not figure it out and call the Factory Tech. His name is Mr. Confused. Was told what was happening and he could not figure it out either.....! So the Nice Repairman asked, Why do we need this delay on the gas and light it like the broiler lights? which is right now... Doesnt figure does it.....! DA. Okay, now one great-minded repairman and one confused Factory Tech tells the Nice Repairman, You mean like the Older Pro Grands? Yes, the OLD ONE!!!!!!! Yes!!!! Factory Tech the Old tried and true Lights every time system. Okay, the Confused Factory Tech says... Now we wait!!!!!!! Nice repairman leaves to find out what he needs as far as parts and if he really is right... Yes he was!!!!! Mr. Nice Repairman got all the new stuff ordered and now I have to Open my wallet again to pay the Nice Repair Company...! The cost of this repair was Only $475.80 thus bring up the total cost of repairs to $1065.71 Pro Grands final repair total. Dont waste your time with Thermador thinking they will stand behind the product. The Fact is they wont....! For those of you who dont know this Thermador is owned by Bosch...... !

I build my kitchen around Thermador appliances... I received my range in December. It kept turning off after 10 min could not use self clean etc. Tech came out to fix...but after coming 3 times with no success my place of purchase decided to replace the whole range. I received a new 60 inch range 2017 model. They dropped it off without installing the unit...so I had someone come who I paid to do install. After install I was getting a cooling fan error. I had tech come again and he arrived after his second visit. He arrived with wrong part. A week later arrived again with wrong part...then called to say he would have to come back because he wasnt able to move unit by himself. Now another appointment a week later. He arrived with a pump to lift oven but wasnt strong enough to lift it...so lucky I was there. I helped him move the oven to install cooling fan. While oven was out I asked if he can pls raise the legs in the back about an inch so unit can be flush with tile. His response was its not my job. After all this and to say its not my job was very annoying...so now he installs fan but Im still receiving same error. I called again. They are sending same the same guy out with a helper. The day of repairs I get a call saying his helper could not get out of his driveway due to snow...really...but I was able to leave house with the same area snow. Now its end of March still no oven. 4 months without an oven to use and taking my wifes taken 10 days off work for them to come and fix. Horrible service. People whatever you do stay away from Thermador. Im am now going to place of purchase and asking them to remove all Thermador stuff from my home. I will be buying Wolf and Sub-Zero. Not sure of the issues I will be having if any with them but it cant be worse than Thermador...worst customer service I have ever come across. Also I paid like 20k for this range. We remodeled our kitchen and purchased Thermador appliances to the tune of $18,000. I cant remember being more disappointed. The $8000 refrigerator arrived with rust on the handles. The local service contractor sent by Thermador to replace the handles scratched the panel necessitating service visits 2 and 3 within our first few weeks of ownership. Not long after the panels were replaced, the ice maker stopped working. Three additional service visits later, we still dont have ice. Weve owned the appliances for a little over two months, have had six service calls, each requiring that we give a three hour window. The ice maker has worked a grand total of about 10 days in those two months. Calls to Thermadors customer service department prove to be most unsatisfactory as they dont return promised phone calls. Who knows if well ever get ice. Im thanking my lucky stars that we purchased the retailers extended service agreement for all our appliances. The large oven kept shutting off and the door doesnt shut. Resetting the breaker appeared to fix it, but didnt. Repairman came out and replaced the main board and relay board for $600. Now the large oven works, but the light does not go off in the large oven, and the fan runs continuously after using the small oven until you shut off the breaker. The repairman does not know why. He also informed me that Thermador no longer makes hinges for the large door, so I need to replace the entire door for $1200. Also charged $200 to replace the switch panel on the vent hood, which he was certain would fix the halogen lights. It didnt. Is anyone aware of a class action suit? Hundreds or thousands of complaints at $6-12K per range, it seems like there are millions of dollars to be recovered from Thermador.

The motherboard was replaced twice. I did not have ovens for Christmas or New Years. Thermador finally gave me new ovens after 8 weeks. The new ovens have a software issue according to Thermador and do not accurately show the preheat temperature of the ovens. The software fix timeframe is not yet known. Dont buy this oven.

Its the night before Thanksgiving and my Thermador oven has decided once again not to work. I cannot read an error code for it because that has not worked in over a year. When I tried to have that fixed, the technician said Thermador no longer makes that part. This product is 15 years old. The oven my mother used when I was growing up is still working and she has been dead for more than 15 years. Thermador has a racket going.

I purchased $8000 Thermador oven that is worthless. The broiler function has never worked, and it does not heat evenly. The top igniter unit does not work. I have spent over $1500 in repairmen claiming they fixed the problem when in reality they never fixed anything. With a gas oven, how does one know if it is truly fixed? Do not buy Thermador. The company, the appliance center where we purchased the oven, and the repairmen were all of no help. Now we are stuck with this expensive oven that we cant even use. All items come out burnt on the bottom and completely raw on top.

One week later 2 burners not working, small oven not working. Large oven not heating evenly. Where I bought it said call Thermador customer service and request a new stove. Called Thermador, got a case number, supplied all info, received an email saying I need a tech to diagnose that it is not operating properly -- da dude! No techs in Vermont are even returning calls, the store I brought it from says Thermador responds to customers. Not them. Wow $12 --!3,000.00 for a new stove that is 3 months old and this is the service one receives. !!!Dont Do It. Buy Something Else!!! Terrible! We did a home remodel in 2005. I spent approximately $11,000 on my fancy Thermador range (I know, crazy, right?). Anyway, this was supposed to be my once in a lifetime dream kitchen. This range cost more than my first 3 cars put together! Long story short, in 7 years the oven has gone out 3 times and 2 burners once. The cost for these repairs? Over $3,000! The company has exactly zero interaction with customers once theyve purchased, and absolutely zero accountability. I could cry knowing how much money I have wasted on this thing. I cant afford another stove. Can you imagine throwing out a range you have $14k invested in? We had a 4 hundred dollar oven that lasted the first 14 years of our marriage. We then sold it for $200! Thermador is the worst company I have ever dealt with in my entire life. They do not care about or stand behind anything they sell.

We purchased a Thermador built-in refrigerator in 2006. Last month it stopped working and we were told the heat exchange had given out. After waiting 3 weeks for parts from Thermador, the service man found while repairing it that water had gotten into the heat exchange. When he called Thermador and spoke with Bart, he was told the only thing to do was to attempt to blow the water out with nitrogen. When the repairman said this wouldnt work, he was told there was no other option. Since neither Thermador nor the repair service will guarantee this will work for longer than a year at most, there is no point in getting it repaired. Since Thermador will do nothing about it, I can only determine to never purchase another KitchenAid or Thermador product. And of course, to tell all my friends to avoid them as well.

They will not give me the information to correctly diagnose the issue. Dont buy Thermador ranges. A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY AND A LOT OF IT. Weve had the ProGrand garbage for 1 year. Excluding previous problems, the most recent is the oven lights no longer function. Called Thermador for assistance. They stated that while still under warranty, the oven bulbs (2 of them) are a routine consumer maintenance issue and a tech would not be assigned. So, I spent $40 for a bulb. Despite I specified that no lights function in the oven, Thermador sent me only 1 light. With much difficulty, I replaced the defective bulb in the lower right of the oven. Powered the oven back up, AND NOTHING. Removed the new bulb and placed it into the upper left socket. After powering back up, AND NOTHING.Frankly, Ive never had to replace an oven bulb in a 10 year old oven, you know, the far cheaper commonly found brand names of Kenmore, Amana, Frigidaire or other LOW END ovens. But for $10,000 you can buy a Pro Grand and have all kinds of fun calling for support, technicians, and an oven that is pure, bonafide garbage. Get this, in preheating mode, the oven will on occasion never reach set point. Rebooting the power supply seems to help. The racks are a dream too. They are extremely difficult to interchange to a new height setting. And they DONT CARE.On a prior occasion speaking with Thermador support, I asked if I could convey my dissatisfaction with their quality group. Specifically, they have some serious quality control issues. I was told that was not possible. This oven, and the lack of Thermadors concern is all the reason a consumer needs to know that this product is garbage and very expensive at that, relatively to conventional offerings. STAY AWAY, DONT BUY A THERMADOR OVEN.

Since purchasing my Thermador Freezer, I have had an ongoing problem with the ice maker. It just stops working. After being repaired numerous times, Thermador approved having the entire unit replaced, sending me an e-mail confirming this decision on August 7 and promising someone would contact me within 7-10 business days. This greatly eased my general disappointment with Thermador and its customer service department - including all the scheduled appointments that were cancelled (last minute) or no shows. I believed they were trying to correct what was overall a frustrating and negative experience. Unfortunately, I am now even more frustrated as it is September and I still do not have a working ice maker/freezer. I have asked to speak to a supervisor numerous times but they are never available and do not return my calls.

We have repeated failures of the blower motors on our oven. If the oven senses that either fan isnt spinning at nominal speed, the oven shuts down. Its a $500 bill every time one of the motors goes out ($300 service plus $200 for the part). The first went out barely a year after we bought the oven. The next went out later the same year. Barely a year later and one of the replacements is failing. Replacing the fan involves pulling the oven from the wall, no easy feat for the do-it-yourselfer.Note that sometimes a reset will work, at least temporarily. Thermador doesnt make the reset easy. You have to cut off power at the circuit breakers, turn power back on, then do the programming for date and time. Very frustrating if you have to do this several times hoping that fan will spin a bit faster on the next go around.

Seven years ago we remodeled our kitchen. Sadly the only location we had for a refrigerator was a wide, but shallow space. Our appliance contractor recommended this Thermador refrigerator Model # KBUDT4875E01, which cost over $14K! Recently the evaporator coil began leaking. We called the Thermador service department who referred us to a local repair company (Alltex Parker) in the DFW area. The service man told us our refrigerator was old, although is has a 12 year warranty. The good news is the $300.00 for parts was covered by our warranty. The bad news is the service call costs us $1500.00 for 4 hours to replace the coil! The service man informed us he sees many issues with Thermador appliances and it is not uncommon for these refrigerator coils to leak. He said he would be surprised if our refrigerator lasted the length of our warranty. This experience has taught me to do more appliance research upfront and to rely on customer reviews!

We are now two months without a working freezer. I cannot stress enough how bad our experience has been. My wife is on the phone nearly everyday with customer service reps, but nothing gets done. They have sent the same incompetent repair people four times to no avail. They cancel appointments and reschedule without informing us. The corporate headquarters are in Germany, so there is no one else to talk to. At the same time, they have wanted to charge us $1,500 in labor costs. Can you imagine paying $1,500 for a job not done? I might add we have seven Thermador appliances in our kitchen! I would not recommend Thermador to anyone.Updated on 08/01/2016: We have now entered our fourth month without a freezer. It is very clear to us that Thermadors game plan is to frustrate the customer so that he/she will eventually give up. To recapsulate: we had repairmen out four or five times unable to fix the problem. On four occasions, the company cancelled the appointment without informing us and we had to reschedule. This caused additional delays. Without exaggerating, I would say my wife has been on the phone with customer service more than 30 times. Now they have offered us a new freezer at a discount, but will not provide any kind of installation or delivery into the house; nor will they remove the old, non-working freezer. The installers they recommend refuse to remove the old unit for insurance reasons. They also refuse to bring the new unit into the house from the curb. So here we are: it will cost us nearly the price of the freezer to have the new one installed if we could find someone to do it.My wife is in tears with frustration and anger. We have not been able to speak with anyone outside of customer service. It is a German company with apparently no executives here. I want to restate that our unit remains under warranty. I cant think of a worse example of customer service in my 55 years. Next step: New York State attorney general.

We bought a Thermador double wall oven 5 years ago among many other appliances when redoing our kitchen and almost every time we use the self-clean feature, it goes into error mode and breaks the control board, the motor, or something else. We have had multiple repairmen out, including Thermador themselves, and each time it costs between $250-$350 dollars to service. I tried speaking to upper management from Thermador several times and they basically ignored my issue and told me it was too bad and they would not replace the unit. I purchased a 30 Stainless Steel Thermador Range Hood HSB30BS in June of 2008. Within a year and a half and six months out of warranty, the buttons that control the fan and the light began to come off. They are push buttons and are configured in such a way that when you press one to change the fan speed, another will be pushed out and deactivated - similar to an old style car radio with mechanical buttons. The problem is that the sub-assembly that receives the metal buttons is a square plastic peg and the button itself on the inside is round. The proverbial square peg in a round hole. The plastic gets worn and the buttons shoot off when they are pushed. I asked for the repairman to leave the sub-assembly with me after the repair ($350.00) to see exactly what went wrong. The hood cost me $700.00 new. So now that it is broken again, it does not make sense making the same repair again with a poorly designed part. I contacted Thermador the first time it broke and the best they could offer me was 10% off of the cost of the replacement part. I was busy at the time and was not able to write a proper letter to someone at Thermador, but I have to wonder if the results would have been much different. I have a Thermador stove as well that had a cooling fan motor ($300.00) repair just a little over a year and half after purchase. This one was out of warranty too. The stove cost $3,700.00. So I am, for obvious reasons, not a great fan of Thermador. I had two other repair calls on the stove to deal with a faulty ignitor, but they were thankfully covered by the initial warranty. I have never been a complainer, but it is hard for me to believe that I have just had bad luck with this companys products. I am a contractor by trade and like some of BSHs products. Bosch makes good tools and others that are not so good. At a certain price point though, my expectations go way up. Thermador looks nice and thats about the only nice thing I can say.

Yes, its been 12 years, but, for what we paid for this oven, to have the horrible response from Thermador. And, to have a piece of scrap metal after paying $480 in repairs...well, just unthinkable. Customer service was dismissive, at best. Condescending at worst. My story begins. Purchased 12 years ago, several repairs along the way, but she was well used. Then, about 4 years ago, the self cleaning went. I had only used it twice, so it was not worth putting up with or paying for repairs (which are quite expensive and require a Thermador Tech to come out). No error code, it just wouldnt work. Then, the broiler started to give me trouble. All of a sudden, we had the power go out and BOOM! We have no oven with 1 error code indicating the main circuit board is out. While the board was $250 -ish, with the service calls and labor, the cost was about $480. Which, I would have been fine with, if the oven worked. The tech put the oven on, it went on, went to about 275, and he determined it was fixed. That evening, in preparation of dinner, I turned the oven on and it would not go beyond 325 before shutting down. I called back. We are on service call 3 at this point. He cant figure out the problem, maybe a faulty circuit board, he will have to contact Thermador and get back with me. Service call 4. Wow, big problem, it is NOW the blow motor. And, they no longer manufacture Blow Motors for this model. (Used to be a $100-ish part, pretty inexpensive). Well, sorry, but the main circuit board is not refundable, basically, ** you. I called Thermador, initially, to ask about the Blow Motor.I was told, Well, these arent like automobiles where we manufacture parts forever. My response, Well, you charged me as much as my first automobile, so I would think there should be an alternative. Sorry, check online, see if anyone has old parts...basically, ** you. So, I begin the search for a new oven, and yes, I have EXCLUDED Thermador from my search. I begin to think, how do I verify the tech didnt break this blow motor in his install? I do not think I should have paid for this repair if that is the case. Or, did he misdiagnose and there were 2 issues he should have seen, basically saving me the payment on the board. So, I call Thermador again, to verify if there are multiple issues, should I have seen multiple error codes? Seems like a reasonable question. Well, customer service cant answer this. Only a technician can. Ok, transfer me to a technician, please. Well, they are on the road. Well, can I leave a message. Well, no. Well, can someone else answer this? Well, of course not. But, I will be happy to get you another outside technician to come in. But, you see, I know the error code, I know the part is not available, why would I pay for ANOTHER visit to tell me my oven is a 400# piece of trash? Maybe I should be happy I had 12 years of reasonable happiness with her, but, I would hope that when you pay this much for an appliance the Co would stand behind her. Well, just to let you know, that will only last for a few years, until they stop manufacturing parts for it.

Buyer beware - if you need support, you won’t get it easily from Thermador based on my experience. They charged me about $750 for a replacement part for a fridge. The part arrived in approx. Sept. 2021. For two months they have been unable to coordinate two techs (the number needed) to come install the part for my fridge. On the first visit, despite my reminding them in advance that we needed two techs, only one came and couldn’t do the job. He rescheduled for a month later. On the day, no one came (not a typo). Instead, Theramdor claims I cancelled the appointment… Why would I do that? Now it’s the third visit —11/29/2021. Despite advising them again that we needed two techs, they coordinated only one. I called today (11/28) to confirm they would get two out here, and there was literally nothing they could do to confirm one way or another. I’ve asked to speak with supervisors on multiple occasions. I keep being told a supervisor would “call me back.” No one has ever called me back. For a company selling high end (ie, very expensive) appliances, you would think they could treat their customers with a smidgen of respect. Definitely the last time we buy a Thermador product. It’s just not worth the headache in my opinion, particular with an appliance that is only about 5 years old.

This Thanksgiving my oven would heat but not hold a temperature. We had a repair tech come out and it is the thermometer. It shuts off the heating element when it reaches the desired temp. This part is discontinued by Bosch/Thermador rendering our perfectly good oven useless. The one part has made this oven and range obsolete. The companys customer service rep was awful and basically had nothing to say but that we should get a new one. I will NEVER buy a Thermador, Gagganau or Bosch product again. Use gas range daily, no problem. Rarely used oven, maybe 20 times the most before it stopped working. Replaced electronic module located between oven and range. How stupid! Used the oven less than 15 times within 3 years and it failed again. The last visit cost $700. After reading all the negative comments about Thermador, I am buying an electric oven and the hell with this piece of junk! Frustrating to spend 2 hours baking and the meatloaf was cooked only on the surface. That darn thing quit half way without warning!

My range has a two burners with a simmer control function that keep failing. In the past 4 years have had several visits from technician - one dispatched directly by Thermador. Each state the Potentiometer needs replacing. Have had this part replaced 3 times in last 4 years with parts directly supplied by Thermador. Fails every 9 to 12 months - and part has a limited warranty. Have spent hundreds of dollars on repairs. Impossible to get thermador on the phone. Have submitted service request and complaint as directed through their online portal. No response. For such an expensive, high end product - would expect much more. Would not recommend purchasing.

My Thermador Professional double oven bought for $12,000 in 2004. I have had 5 different repair man coming to my home to repair it, each visit about $70. Couple didnt call me back even. Last 2 repair professionals told me that there is no more parts for my high end oven. I called today Thermador myself. Customer service told me that after 7 years they dont make parts anymore??!! Technicians removed few parts here and there, to buy new, never got old ones back, dont know their parts numbers. Next week Feb. 28th 2017, Thermador own technician is coming to assess, $120 plus $30. Made in 2004, so expensive but not repairable. WHAT AM I SUPPOSE TO DO NOW??? P.S. I have 2 burners working only, other 4 burners, grill and both ovens are not.

I purchased a Thermador fridge/freezer double gas oven, cooktop and dishwasher. At the 4 yr mark the double oven fried the circ board. I replaced it with another brand. The refrigerator lost the freezer part at 5 yrs. I paid the service company they sent out to replace compressor, lines. Took 3 weeks to fix. 3 months later it goes again. 1 week out for a service. He comes today and says theres a contaminate? Or blocked line? I said, Well lets evacuate and recharge it?? He did and the door wouldnt close. I mentioned it and was told oh when the freezer reaches temp the door will suction close?? Ok the door doesnt close and the light is on. I called service again. No clue if its going to reach temp because the door doesnt close. Ive lost all the food in the freezer twice now. And waiting a week for a tech is absurd. No clue if its fixed but now the door doesnt work.

When we purchased $18,000+ on Thermador Gas range, Built in oven/Microwave
When we purchased $18,000+ on Thermador Gas range, Built in oven/Microwave and Dishwasher we were never told that we were in a no service area for repairs. Trying to work with Thermador customer support to find an appliance service repair shop to service our under warranty products has been a nightmare! We only live a few miles from Hermann, MO but customer support has to negotiate a service rate with a repair shop and most shops wont comply. Unbelievable!! Thermador products are not worth the price you pay!! We thought buying a better brand name like Thermador would give us good quality for many years. Not so!! We even sent an email to CEO of Thermador with no solution. Our warranties will be up January 2021 and I have no idea how we will get service after that. Im sure we will have to reach deep in the pocket book for that! DONT BUY THERMADOR!

Thermador oven would not ignite. So I called Thermador Los Angeles to schedule a tech visit. The earliest they could come was 10 days later. Technician diagnosed the problem but did not have the part. 4 days later on 2nd visit he could not find the part and told me his company did not order it. 2 weeks later they told me to expect 3rd visit from same Technician. After waiting past schedule hours I decided to call Tech myself. Unfortunately poor guy felt bad because he did not have the part even for 3rd visit about 40 day after initiated service call. After I called company to complain I was told that the back ordered part is expected to arrive on April 1st. This would 3 month and no one told me about back order. Finally after talking with someone in charge I was promised a call back on Monday following week to work out some kind of deal with their partners that had that part. AND NO ONE CALLED, what horrible experience to wait 3 month for a part?? Needless to say I would never recommend the brand that I spend good money for and cant get customer service that is run by incompetent staff.

The Thermador dishwasher was installed in the summer of 2012 (7 years ago). I have had to replace the computer as the lighting wasnt working (within 2 years). Shortly after replacing the same problem re-occurred. Now the dishwasher does not turn off and it runs and runs with no water. Thermador stated that I should get it serviced - no concern whatsoever that this product was costly to purchase and costly to repair. Thermador DWHD630IFM. No more products from Thermador.

The worst service ever! My brand new range had a broken oven glass door and wont heat up to correct temperature. Didnt show up at scheduled time or later that day. Needed to reschedule. Finally came back and technician didnt know how to fix oven temp problem but did install new glass door. As temp problem still existing another appointment made with a request to have a different tech. Although appointment confirmed morning service call no one showed up. Customer support department worthless as only a call desk. Has no way to communicate with technicians nor can provide a COI as required in most apartment buildings in NYC. I will never buy another Thermador product again!

If the other 300+ poor reviews dont deter you, perhaps this one will. I purchased a 6 burner range top from Pacific Sales along with a double convection oven. Out of the box, one of the burner keeps clicking and sparking. I phoned Thermador customer service immediately, they gave me an authorized tech. I called, he came and determined it must be a spark module problem. He returned to basically disassemble the entire stove, replacing not only the spark module, but wires as well. Took over 2 hours of trying to figure out the problem That didnt work. I felt I had the right as a customer to not have my new kitchen torn apart to figure a problem that lies with the manufacturer. I called and wrote to supervisors to evoke lemon law. No, they tell me that I needed to allow them 3 to 4 times to willy-nilly take apart the range and not figure out the issue. I rejected this. After 2 weeks of letter writing, emailing, and phone conversations, I agreed to let them do another repair. The tech they sent has been here for over an hour as I write this review, still trying to figure out the issue as if my stove is some sort of test for the tech. Really Thermador? Im just waiting for them to make good on their promise of replacing the range. Oh the tech they sent just knocked over a part and scratched up my brand new cabinet.

It is amazing these oven units cost so much, considering they are so poorly made. However, my biggest problem with Thermador appliances is that the authorized repair people are laughably inadequate. Guy came to fix our oven and was beyond insulting to me. I requested a second guy, who fixed the first problem but then did something that incapacitated 3 out of 6 of our burners, which had worked perfectly when he walked in the door. He told me it would be another $1000 to fix the burners. Really? In the last house we rented, we had a Thermador microwave which did nothing but turn food into a slimy mess. Popcorn could not be made in the microwave. Really? This brand seems awful all the way around.

I have owned my side by side for 12 years. You will discover that while the unit is under Warranty for 12 years--they do NOT stock parts after 8 years!! The trick is they will offer you money towards sliding into a new fridge--where you will continue to be captive to them. The new unit of what I own now costs $15,000. I made a service appointment THREE WEEKS ago for Monday, October 25, 2021, and was told I couldnt get one sooner because Thermador doesnt have workers. When I called Friday before to see why they had not told me a time, they said I had cancelled the appointment. (I had not). When I complained, the Thermador rep disconnected me. I had waited 20 minutes for her to answer the call. For their price, I could buy a new GE or Frigidaire every three years, and still not be out $15,000. Lets face it----all we need is something to keep our food cold, right?

We recently bought a Thermador cooktop that comes with a downdraft exhaust.
We recently bought a Thermador cooktop that comes with a downdraft exhaust. This was around the end of June 2017. The Range fit in fine, however the exhaust piece was broken and did not work, so they said they would order a replacement for us. We waited for the next piece for more than two months to come in. After which the company would give excuse after excuse about the piece not coming in or the installer not being available. After which the installer finally came, early October. And again the piece was faulty and did not fit nor did it work. Now after talking to customer service multiple times, they keep giving excuses and apologies, telling us to wait a few weeks for the installer to come out. In addition, have not tried to remedy the service by offering us any prompt service and refuse to offer any alternative cooktop/range set. The set cost $2000+ and we have been without the exhaust for three months now.

Bought and professionally installed 48 dual fuel Pro Grand Thermador Range.
Bought and professionally installed 48 dual fuel Pro Grand Thermador Range. Oven temperatures are 40 to over 100 degrees low. Serviced by certified Thermador repair THREE times and they report no problems but my oven still wont bake. Thermador sent sales rep on third repair visit to bake cookies to show me how oven works... However per recipe, 350 degrees 11-15 minutes resulting in pale underbaked cookies over 30 minutes later. He documented the facts but after 10 days, I havent heard a word... Weve had range 4 months and still problematic! Thermador Rep doesnt want to believe anything is wrong with range even after witnessing failure to bake... with all my written documentation and ruined food. Ive even gone as far to bring identical dishes to bake at local Thermador Appliance Store with positive results, so I know baking is possible in a Thermador oven... just not MINE.

I have had a dual fuel range for nine years. I have put two panels, replaced the igniters two times, and I am lighting them with a lighter once again. Ive replaced the door lock for the clean cycle, the bottom element once, and now it is bad again. When is enough? I have to give up investing in this horrible appliance. Thermador does nothing to help.
