Air Conditioner Troubleshooting

The portable air conditioner does not turn on 
• Restore the power supply 
• Flip the switch / change the fuse / turn the breaker back on. Also note that you may have too many appliances drawing power on one circuit, you may need to move the other appliances to another circuit 
• Move the unit onto another circuit with the correct voltage 
• Call for service. Only authorized personnel should replace damaged power cord or power plug 
• Press the Reset button on the L.C.D.I. power plug 
• Drain water from the air conditioner 
• Possible loose internal connection.  

The unit turns on but the compressor does not turn on (the fan runs but the unit is not cooling) 
• This unit is designed to work in ambient temperatures of 64°F to 90°F 
• Press Mode Control until the Cooling indicator light is shown on the display 
• Give the compressor 3 minutes to turn on after the Cooling mode has been selected 
• Set the air conditioner to a lower temperature. It is recommended to set the temperature to at least 5°F of the ambient temperature 
• Either manually drain the water by removing the drain plug or allow the unit to exhaust the water itself by running the fan only mode. Then cooling will resume 
• Possible loose internal connection.  

The air coming out of the unit is not very cold, or the airflow volume is weak 
• Clean the air filters 
• Make sure there is at least 20" of clearance from the air intake. Make the length of the exhaust hose is as short as possible 
• Set the unit to Cooling mode 
• Set the unit to a higher fan speed 

The unit has worked for a long time, but the room is not cold enough 
• Close all windows and doors 
• You may need additional cooling or another air conditioner 
• Close curtains or blinds and try to minimize the amount of direct sunlight into the room 
• You may need additional cooling or another air conditioner 

The unit is very noisy 
• Make sure the unit is on hard, level and stable surface 
• Move the unit to a location with a level and hard floor 
• Make sure the wall outlet and support the required power consumption of the air conditioner and do not use an extension cord 

The unit leaks water 
• Make use the unit is leveled 
• Drain water from the drain plug at the back of the air conditioner 

Fan speed cannot be changed 
• The fan speed difference is not very noticeable when the compressor is on. Try setting the unit to Fan only mode, you should be able to hear the difference between high and low fan speed settings.

Refrigerator Troubleshooting

The appliance does not operate 
• There is a power failure. 
• The appliance is not plugged in. 
• A house fuse has blown or the circuit breaker is tripped. 
• Ensure the appliance is plugged in and the power outlet has power. 
• Replace the broken fuse or reset the breaker. 

The appliance is not cold enough 
• The appliance is placed too close to a heat source. 
• The door is opened too often. 
• The door is not closed completely. 
• The door gasket does not seal properly. 
• Adjust the temperature. 
• Keep the appliance away from sunshine or other heat sources. 
• Close the door tightly and do not open the door too frequently or for a long period of time. 
• Ensure the door gasket is not loose. 

The appliance turns itself on and off frequently 
• The ambient (room) temperature is too low or high. 
• A large amount of contents has been added to the appliance. 
• The door is opened too often. 
• The door is not closed completely. 
• The door gasket does not seal properly. 
• Decrease or increase the ambient (room) temperature. 
• To minimize internal temperature fluctuation, do not add large amount of contents at once. 
• Close the door tightly and do not open the door too frequently or for a long period of time. 
• Ensure the door gasket is not loose. 
• It is normal for the fan come on and off to circulate the air inside of the unit for even temperature distribution and to save energy. 

The appliance makes too much noise 
• The noise may come from the flow of the refrigerant and expansion of the inside walls may cause popping and crackling noises. 
• Contraction and expansion of the inside walls may cause popping and crackling noises. 
• The appliance is not level. 
• It is normal that as each cooling cycle ends, you may hear rattling or gurgling sounds caused by the flow of refrigerant in the appliance. The high efficiency compressor may make a pulsating or high pitched sound. 
• Some popping or cracking noises are normal. They are caused by expansion and contraction of the inside walls due to temperature changes. 
• Make sure the unit is on a hard and level surface. Do not place the appliance on carpet. 

The door does not close properly 
• The appliance is not level. 
• The door was reversed and not properly installed. 
• The shelves are out of position. 
• Make sure the appliance is on a hard and level surface. Avoid placing the appliance on a carpeted or soft surface. 
• Reinstall door. 
• Correctly install the shelves. 

Condensation builds up on the glass door. 
• Ambient temperature or humidity is high. 
• Lower the room humidity by a dehumidifier or air conditioner.  

The unit is frosting often  
• The door was not closed completely. 
• The door gasket is not sealing. 
• Use a screw driver to loosen the screws to re-position the door/ hinge and tighten the screws. 
• Ambient temperature or humidity is high. 
• Close the door tightly and do not open the door too frequently or for a long period of time. 
• The door may need to be re-positioned. 
• Ensure the door gasket is not loose. 
• Lower the room humidity with a dehumidifier or air conditioner.
