LACK OF HEAT GENERATION
A patio heater has multiple components and all of those are required to perform well for heat generation. If you have found your heater is having issues with lack of heat generation, you should start by checking the gas supply and burner. There could be a problem with the burner and you may need to replace it. If you see a spark after it turns off; it could be a gas supply problem. With all of these issues it is best to call a professional. Upon trying to fix it on your own, you could make the problem worse.
PROBLEM WITH GAS CYLINDER
There is also the possibility that the gas cylinder is empty and that is why it does not ignite. You need to fill up the tank otherwise outdoor patio heaters will not work. If there is a problem with the gas cylinder, you can replace it or can ask professionals to repair it.
INSPECT BURNERS
The burners of these heaters are quite easy to assemble. Check the burners and clean them regularly to remove debris and another clogging. Remember to check the burner apertures are set in the right way. Do not forget to check the chamber beneath the burner.
CHECK THE REGULATOR AND GAS PIPE
The regulator takes gas to the burner and if this feature is not working, you need to repair it. You should also monitor the gas pipe as if it is leaking you would also need to fix it as soon as possible.
THE PILOT LIGHT
One common issue with the heaters with the pilot light is a failure of thermocouple. This part has an inverted V shape and is located on the light. The temperature helps to ensure proper gas supply for the thermocouple. So, if the pilot light is not in good condition, it will not work.
A FEW ADDITIONAL TIPS
• Make sure there is no dirt or dust around burner or pilot light. Keep those clean and away from insects.
• The gas cylinder should be full and turned to the ON position. Moreover, check if the regulator is torn or not. If so, change it immediately.
• In winter, try to use propane. It works better in the cold than butane.
• If you have a non-replaceable cylinder, make sure to repair it for leaks.

Heater is awesome looking. Would advise it is for looks more than a heater. Also when putting together be advised you need to put a AAA battery behind the ignition switch to make igniter work. Does take some time to put together.
Pay attention to orientation when assembling because the four posts have a front and a back for securing the door and the tank respectively. Tools to assemble are included, but recommend using a socket and ratchet versus the included wrench to speed up the building. LED system worked initially but soon the remote failed. I haven't tried a new remote battery yet to see if battery went dead after first use. Manual LED switch worked but it's stuck in flashing mode without remote control.
We got this heater to use for cool nights on our deck. We put it together on a Friday and used it for an extended period of perhaps 8 hours on Saturday afternoon - night when the temperature was in the 30s - 40s. It did a great job of heating the space we needed - we even had to turn it down to low at one point because it was too warm. It was easy to assemble and seems to be sturdy. One small issue in assemble is that the instructions indicated there are two different style of screws needed for assembly and there was only one type of screw in the hardware. Also note that, when you put the side panels on in the last step, you do not need additional screws - simply remove the screws used on the lower supports, put the side panels in place and replace the same screws. I contacted Tech Ventures to le them know about the "issues" with the instructions (mostly just my own confusion) - they were very helpful, indicated that they had edited the instructions, and would review them again based on my input. Very nice folks!
I bought this heater to replace a cheap heater which was, literally, falling apart. I read all the reviews about how difficult it was to assemble and I did not have any problems at all. The directions were obvious and all the materials were right there in a handy little labeled blister pack. My one (and only) complaint is that the instructions don't tell you how the base is to be oriented which gives you a 1 in 4 chance of getting it right, otherwise you have to disassemble the base and rebuild it. To save everyone a possible problem, the side with the slots (opposite from the wheels) has to be on the side with the controls! It never says anything about this in the instructions until the very last step. Otherwise this is perfect.
Just be aware these heaters are huge. they are probably almost 10 foot high when assembled but they are very nice. As always the instructions are a little vague, you will not have 2 size screws as they mentioned and you about 5 of my holes were too small for screws so I had to bore them out a little, but all in all, Its beautiful.
