Bertazzoni Range Troubleshooting

The oven will not operate

Is there power to the range? Are the igniters or burner holes blocked? Are the burner rings and burner caps seated firmly? Check the switch fuse or circuit breaker. Check that the igniter is clean and the burner holes are open and clean of any residue.
The burner ignites but switches off when the knob is released
The burners have flame failure devices fitted as standard. Therefore, after lighting the burner, keep the knob pressed for a few seconds to deactivate the flame failure device.
The ignition candles are sparking continuously
Is the cooktop wet from cleaning or a boil over? Turn off the electricity supply and thoroughly dry the burner components and igniters.
The control knob are getting too hot
Are you cooking with the oven door open? Keep the oven door shut when not in use or when grilling/broiling.
A control knob is loose on its shaft
The knob retaining spring clip may have been damaged. Call our service department for advice and a replacement if necessary.
Food is cooking too quickly
Are you using a convection mode? When using a fan-assisted oven cooking mode, it is recommended to reduce the cooking temperature by 70°F (20°C) compared to conventional cooking.
Food is not cooking evenly
Are you cooking large amount of food or are you using large bakeware? Air needs to circulate through the oven for even cooking. Remove the grill pan from the oven when not in use and always allow a gap on all four sides of dishes. You may need to turn your bakeware during the cooking cycle. Oversized baking sheets, roasting pans and cakeware will act as a baffl e and prevent hot air from moving evenly around the cavity. Choose cooking equipment that allows a minimum of 1 inch ( 2,5 cm) space on all sides to allow the free movement of heat inside the cavity.
Grilling in the oven is slow
Have you selected the correct function?
The fan continues to run after the oven is switched off
This is normal. The cooling fan may run on and off for up to 30 minutes after the oven is switched off to keep the controls cool.

I have had my Ferrai Red 30 Pro-Style Gas Range for two years now and I am still in love with it. I cook everyday, and 3 of my twenty-something children also cook on it. Everyone loves everything about the Bertazzoni. It is both beautiful "form" and wonderful "function." The standing joke in my house is" "When Mom dies, who will get the Bertazzoni!" I could not be happier with this appliance.
I have been using a Bertazzoni MAS30 4 GAS XT stove since July of 2010 and have had no problems with it whatsoever. A couple of tips: The oven door must be ajar to ignite the oven. The oven temperature in normal mode takes about 10 minutes to balance to the right temperature. Mine is dead on. Turning the burner knob all the way to the left will Not give you the lowest temperature. Watching the flame and turning it to the right to close to the off position will.
We have had a Bertazzoni oven for, it must be, a quarter of a century and never needed servicing. Today the oven light went out consistently after 30 seconds beyond ignition and release after the prescribed safety period of 10-15 seconds. I called the service department and talked to Tracy and she said: "Unscrew the two Phillips screws on the front of the bottom shelf, push the shelf forward and then pull it out, and clean off the thermo-coupler behind the ignition." I did what she said, even though the thermo-coupler didn't seem dirty, and - hey presto - it now works fine. Thanks, Tracy. The number I called was 866-905-0010.
This is an elite stove and oven. It works perfectly & looks better than any appliance I have ever seen! There is NO leakage whatsoever and the fan, both in regular usage as well as convection use is perfect. The oven temperature goes to the set temperature in about 15 minutes and is pinpoint accurate. The dual burner is a Godsend and yes, it cooks better than any stove in either the commercial or residential world. Well worth the money! If you are serious about cooking, this is the stove to purchase.
the Bertazzoni cooktop/range is fabulous. Four burners each of which has a totally different output. Once calibrated the adjustment screws on the control valve, we can really use each burner differently. Two very LOW simmer burners...and the double burner can make a wok really smoke!. Most complaints will be because the burner levels aren't properly adjusted. Quite easy to do if one reads the installation/user guide, but if not done, then will get a LOT of unhappy people. My wife misses a self clean oven...but once calibrated, it holds its temperature well
