We have three Bosch appliances so rule our bad luck and rule in crappy production and terrible quality. Panel on our microwave failed after a year. Our Bosch fridge (less than 2 years old) - water spout kept pouring continuously and then the ice crusher would come on intermittently. We could not leave home without putting buckets and towels on the floor. Our dishwasher, our last hope for calm, started leaking at the seal on the sides... DO NOT BUY BOSCH. Service line is non-existent. We recommend you research BOSCH failings before buying. We are never, ever buying BOSCH.

Worst dishwasher weve ever had - does not hold many dishes as the racks are tiny. Forget about putting bowls in the lower rack, if you do you cant add plates as they bump up against each other. The lower rack falls off the track if the bottom rack is fully loaded and then you have to pick it up and try to get it back on track. The SMELL - OMG, since day one we have removed the strainer in the bottom, rinsed it and allowed it to dry in between washings - noticed an inch of water in the well at the bottom - which adds to the smell. Called repair and they simply state, Thats the design. Well let me tell you the design sucks!Never in my many, many years of owning dishwashers have I EVER dealt with a smell like this. It is embarrassing when you have company and open it as the entire kitchen ends up smelling like a TRASH HEAP! So now we buy deodorizers to keep the smell at bay, and rinse agent to help the dishwasher do its job, and detergent, and dishwasher cleaner, 4 products - unreal. Who knows maybe they are in cahoots with the manufacturers of these products (or who knows maybe they are the ones who make them - because their dishwasher SUCKS! Did I say that already?).

I have owned and used our Bosch Dishwasher for over twelve years without a single problem. Ive heard complaints about Bosch lack of cleaning. I have never experienced such a problem. Some of the complaints sound as though they have a poor water supply. Maybe a water filter prior to the dishwasher would help. I read complaints regarding drying. l would need to know what is in the dishwasher first. If there is a lot of plastic I would expect less than quality. Bosch dries the dishes with hot water rinse. The latent heat of the dishes and glassware is used to dry. Plastic does not retain much heat thus the lack of drying. It is my opinion that the complaints are misdirected. The poor customer service should be addressed immediately.

My Bosch 800 series dishwasher was delivered and installed on January 6, 20
My Bosch 800 series dishwasher was delivered and installed on January 6, 2016. Thirty-eight days later, on February 11, 2016, the mid-level spray arm fell off during a cycle, landing among the dishes on the bottom rack. Our first clue that something was amiss: Soap dispenser sprayed soap all over but it was not rinsed off the dishes. Chunks remained in the dispenser as well. Second clue, I could not see the spray arm where it used to be!!! We finagled the drawer out and off, flipped it over and reattached the spray arm to its central anchor spot. It was not as hard as we thought to reattach it, thank goodness, but does this mean it will fall off easily again?Very discouraging for a BRAND NEW APPLIANCE that was not even run on a daily basis. We are only two in this household and we do not fill the DW daily. I am concerned about the LONG running times and about the frequency of having to refill the rinse aid, even after adjusting it to be a lighter amount dispensing each time. Add to this the prospect of inner parts falling off and I have to say I am worried that my $899.99 investment was not a wise move.Additionally, I discovered through a review on another site that the model I chose was a special application. Meaning it is shorter for counters that are below the standard height. I wish the store salesman would have told me that. This explains why the installer had to laboriously jack up the corners to raise the appliance to its highest position in order for it to be hidden under the lip of the kitchen counter, but there is a space at the bottom now.

I bought a Bosch refrigerator because I absolutely LOVE my Bosch dishwasher
I bought a Bosch refrigerator because I absolutely LOVE my Bosch dishwasher. I paid $2000.00 and the icemaker/water dispenser was defective the day it was delivered. That entire unit had to be replaced, which took a month. Less than 3 months later, the icemaker conked out again and had to be repaired. The culprit this time was a frozen fill tube. This was in June 2015. In October/November 2015, the icemaker started overfilling at random times. In December 2015, the icemaker simply quit functioning altogether. I called Bosch on 12/16/15 to report the problem -- third time with the icemaker -- and requested they just replace the refrigerator, as it is obviously defective. Also, Bosch could not even schedule a repair for the refrigerator until 01/04/15, and the warranty expires on 02/15/2015. I have never had any major appliance experience problems within the first year of service, let alone be delivered defective. The rep. told me shed forward the complaint to management and I should get a decision by the end of business. No one called me that day, or the next day, or the next day, either. So I called them back and had to wait more than 30 minutes before getting a live representative, who told me that managements decision -- which had been made the day before -- was that I should just get the unit repaired again for the third time for the same issue, and that if and when it happened AGAIN, THEN theyd consider replacing the refrigerator. As I pointed out, this would MOST LIKELY occur AFTER THE WARRANTY EXPIRED, so I would be on the hook for the cost of repairs by that point. The rep. assured me that Bosch would simply extend the warranty, based on my documented repair history. (Yeah, when pigs fly.) I requested to speak to a supervisor, but none were available. When I said I would file a complaint, the representative threatened to release the line -- hang up on me. This was after I had spent more than 45 minutes just that day on the phone trying to resolve this issue with BOSCH. I would never consider buying another BOSCH refrigerator in my entire life. This is the only refrigerator I have ever bought in the last forty-four years that has EVER given me any problems. Unbelievable. Dont buy one. LEMON.

We purchased our 800 Series from Lowes. I wish I had returned it. The wheels on the lower rack were poorly designed (product manager should be fired). If there are any dishes in the lower rack, you cannot pull the rack out. Its frustrating to struggle with this everyday, and with the price we paid, I really expected a better dishwasher. I have called customer service three times. They have been no help - instead, they wanted to send out a service person. (Can you fix bad design?) The last agent said, Oh, we have a fix for that now - has anyone offered to send you the fat wheels. The wheels were not wider, and they were not a fix. The rack constantly gets rolls off track and gets stuck inside the dishwasher. So - if youre going to purchase any Bosch at all - you might want to try putting a few plates into the bottom rack and see if it pulls out. This one bad design feature overshadows the third rack for silverware and any other nifty features. If you cannot get the most important design right, the rest do not matter. Oh, and you must thoroughly prewash your dishes as this 800 Series cannot do the job on its own.

My Bosch combination microwave/convection oven just stopped working for the 5th time in 5 years, and my extended warranty just expired 5 days ago. I would NEVER recommend this appliance. I thought Bosch was a great brand name, but its been my experience that their ovens are inferior. The control panels went black each time and had to be replaced. Having the extended warranty was so worth the extra expense as I would have paid for this appliance almost twice over the original purchase price in service calls. Save your money and buy another brand.

We purchased a Bosch Dishwasher on 4-27-2014 from Sears; at which time Bosch had a rebate (Offer # 781-34) of $150.00 Install Reward. We sent the rebate in on the following day. It said that we would received rebate within 8 to 10 weeks. We waited until about 7 weeks and then called the 800# on the form to check on the status of the rebate and were told that they didnt have any record of it yet and should call back in 2 weeks. Called back 2 weeks later and talked to a man that said for some odd reason it must have been lost. We asked him if that meant that we lost out on our $150.00 rebate and he said, No, just resend it, but that we would just have to wait another 8 to 10 weeks. Now we received a postcard stating that the request was not postmarked within the time frame stated on the rebate form. We called the rebate center and explained the situation and they said that the 2 times that we called there were never reported so they were sorry but we lost our rebate. This we feel is totally not our fault. We sent the rebate on time. They should have created an account on us the first time we called. The rebate offer is what made us buy the Bosch in the first place. It was to pay for the installation fee. We talked to a supervisor at the rebate center and she told us that the man that told us to resend the papers to them should have given us a different address to send them to. I asked her for that different address and that I would resend them for the 3rd time and she said that it was too late now because the rebate was over. This is really ridiculous. We have searched on line and found that we are not the only ones this has happened to. What is actually happening with these rebates that people like us are suppose to be getting but arent? We are very disgusted in this whole situation and in the way the rebate center for Bosch is run. They need to train the people hired there to do their jobs. We are not upset with the actual people that are answering the phone but the ones that are higher up doing the hiring and training. Went higher up and talked to a person from Bosch and they said that the rebates are all handled by the rebate center and that this was out of their hands.

Our 15 year olds Bosch dishwasher with a custom cabinet to match our cupboa
Our 15 year olds Bosch dishwasher with a custom cabinet to match our cupboards is the best dishwasher we ever had. The adjustable upper rack can hold a 9 and 1/2 in tall wine glass and with adjustable rack tines makes loading the dishwasher a delight. Just recently we had to have the circuit board panel rebuilt since replacement is obsolete but its worth every penny. When this dishwasher goes I will definitely buy another Bosch dishwasher now with a third rack available.

For a kitchen renovation in May 2018 I purchased Bosch oven, stove, dishwasher, hood and refrigerator. The 1st day the on/off button on the range hood broke AND the icemaker fell out of the refrigerator. They were repaired at no cost. 8 months later the refrigerator lost power. Upon calling for service we were informed there were 3 authorized dealers in Westchester, NY and we needed to wait 5 days for a repair person. This is not a rural area. Crazy that there are only 3 contracted repair companies. If we called our own repair person the warranty would become invalid and we would have to pay for the repair/part. The person came and said they needed to order a part (computer board) from out of state which would take 5 days. Whatever happened to overnight service? 10 days later the refrigerator which was 8 months old was repaired. We noticed the oven took 2x longer than a recipe required. Upon buying an in oven thermometer we determined that even after following directions to preheat, the oven did not get to the temperature it was set for even after 1 hour. The icemaker works at a snails pace. It takes 24 hours to spit out 10 cubes. I get the sense it doesnt work right. I would NEVER recommend Bosch appliances and I am VERY disappointed I purchased these products. THE WORST.

Have had the refrigerator two months and am happy with it. It's so quiet I almost don't notice when it's running even when I'm in the kitchen. The lighting is good on the interior, adequate in the freezer although the bottom drawer is a little dim. Love the layout of the upper space and flexibility with retractable shelves. Items are easy to see and accessible. The depth of door shelves are great with the exception of the two bottom shelves which are so narrow that they will only accommodate small items, (like hot sauce). As other reviewers have noted, the ice maker is painfully slow so plan ahead. I find the ice maker has a very high pitched hum that is annoying so I make ice then turn the ice maker off until needing ice again which works for us. Love the controls, very easy to use and read and the refrigerator responds quickly to a change in temperature. I'm really picky, did my research before buying, and am really happy with this refrigerator.

We purchased four Bosch appliances in January 2011 and by November 2011, there was rust on them. Our fridge looked like someone sprayed the rust on it. It is that bad. We contacted Bosch and they sent a service person to look at it and confirmed the problem. He said that the appliances werent 100% Stainless steel because he tested it with a magnet and there was some magnetic attraction. Anyway, he then tried cleaning it per his instructions from Bosch and the rust remained. We contacted Bosch about what the service man said and then was told that the appliance were only warranted for 30 days for cosmetic defects and we should try cleaning it again. We tried cleaning again this time using a very fine steel wool. Some spots were removed but still left a residual stain but many, many spots the rust remained. We then contacted Bosch again. They asked us to send pictures and then they offered to give us 50% off replacement parts as their solution to the defective appliances we paid full price for. This is not the answer we expected from a company who sells what they call top of the line appliances. We were told that the problem of rust was because our condo is on the ocean in FL I cant believe that everyone living on coastal America has had rust problems on their appliances with in a year of purchase. Our Floridian neighbors dont seem to have this problem with other brands. Also we had purchased Bosch appliances for our CT home in 2007and have no rusting problems and we live a block from the sea. I read on rekitchen.com that Bosch warranties against rust on dishwashers. This obviously is not true. From what Ive read here, Bosch does not live up to their reputation!

Purchased new in 2004. Main range burner (right front) never did feel right
Purchased new in 2004. Main range burner (right front) never did feel right, rough to turn and if you put it to the wrong spot (nice light simmer), it would go out, but the gas would still run. New Years Eve 2007, the oven burner quit at about 3:00 in the afternoon, part way thru cooking a massive prime rib roast. The electric starter came on and glowed, the gas valve opened but the oven burner wouldnt light. Phoned the dealer (Midland Appliances) and asked them for help, they told me that they could have someone out in about two weeks. Since I was in the middle of preparing a dinner for 10, I finished the roast on the BBQ. It didnt turn out that well, since its hard to cook outside at -20C. Took it all apart the next day and determined that the orifice was plugged/blocked so I cleaned it out with a needle file. About once or twice per year, ever since, same problem. Orifice fouled, and the gas doesnt flow. Eventually the electric starter failed, so I replaced it. Had to order from an outside vendor, as per manufacturer website. Part was delivered, oven back in operation, regular orifice cleanings (and failed meals) continued. In 2011, the main range burner finally failed. It was on and when I tried to turn it down, something broke internally on the shaft. Had to shut the gas off to the entire unit, because the valve wouldnt close. So we are without oven or range. No parts available in our city, again, so I had to order from the outside vendor and have shipped. Five days total without an oven or range top. Many meals outside of the home and many take out meals delivered. New valve installed and the same rough feeling as the original valve. I am probably going to have to replace it again in a few years.November 29, 2013 my wife calls me at work, oven not coming on again. Okay, have to pull the oven out again and clean the orifice, I guess?? Well not this time, now the valve for the baking half of the oven has failed. Electric starter comes on, voltage changes to the valve, but the valve doesnt open. Order the valve ($161) from the outside vendor, four days later it arrives, two hours to install and the oven is back in operation.December 21, 2013 (yesterday) and were having family for early Christmas dinner. About 1:00PM, I turned the oven on to start our turkey and the electric starter glows but the gas valve doesnt open. I hear the solenoid for the starter click and it glows and about a minute later I should hear the valve for the gas open but I dont. Turkey is back in fridge, called the local Chinese take out place for ($185) worth of food. I will pull it apart again on Wednesday (Christmas day) but I suspect that the (new) valve is defective. And on, and on, it goes.Other observations: Well the fit and finish on the visible parts of the oven are quite nice, the guts of it are a mess. Screws dont line up with hole, many are stripped or over tightened. The sheet metal is of the lightest gauge possible and often wires are installed and poorly secured. The adjustable legs dont secure very well and as a result every-time you move the unit, it has to be re-leveled. The unit appears to be made in Mexico, and the range valve was also Mexican made, so I guess its goodbye to German quality.Long and short, this range has been very problematic and I will NEVER buy another Bosch appliance, small or large. And since I am a vengeful sort, I will probably not buy/install Bosch vehicle (starters, alternators) parts either.

When researching new appliances, all the reviews seemed to be negative, regardless of manufacturer. It seemed that nobody posted positive reviews. I bought all four Bosch appliances in March 2017 and had a problem with the refrigerator dripping water inside the box which had pooled under the pull-out chiller drawer. I called the Bosch people and they immediately set up an appointment with an independent local appliance repair service. The tech came out the next day, took everything inside the refrigerator apart and contacted Bosch Techs by phone to determine the required fix. After he was done and had put everything back together, I asked what if that didnt solve the problem and he replied that I would probably get a new refrigerator. The next day it was clear the leaking wasnt fixed. I called the repair guy and he immediately started a Claim, and gave me the claim number they would send to Bosch, and a phone number for me to contact Bosch. I talked with a very nice Customer Service lady at Bosch and they emailed me a claim form to complete. I was not able to complete it immediately but took the form to the local post office to mail about five days later. When I got home from the post office, the phone rang and it was the Bosch representative confirming that they had already ordered a new refrigerator and a local installer would contact me once the unit was received. About a week later, their installers came out, removed the old refrigerator and totally set up the new one. When they left there wasnt a trace they had been there and the refrigerator was completely set up. So, I may be in the minority on these Reviews but my Bosch appliances work just fine, the Customer Service people are absolutely delightful to work with and they stood behind their product 100%. I couldnt be happier and think potential customers who study the reviews need to see a positive experience among all the negative reviews.

HMB5050 Bosch microwave - I remodeled my kitchen 3 years ago. Researched the big Bosch appliances and most received good reviews. The least expensive item, the microwave, I did not research. Big Mistake!!! Read the reviews, all have the same issue. Total failure between 2-3 years. Inverter board/magnetron. Repair cost $600!! So many reviews with the same issue, Bosch should have recalled this item. Instead just discontinued it. No help from customer service, although they did have me go through the trouble of sending them a bunch of stuff. In the end they offered me $25 towards a new inverter board. Im considering a small claims court option. I have enough info about the item to at least warrant a try. All my other Bosch appliances: warming drawer, double wall ovens, dishwasher, 5-burner gas cooktop, have held up well. I cook a lot! Just such a disappointing experience with the darn microwave! I wish they would help me out with a credit towards a new one! They know this thing has serious issues! Ill keep you posted!

We own a Wall oven and microwave combo - HBLP751UC. The oven part over the years would just freeze that is none of the controls would work till the breaker was switched on and off. Now the microwave switches are broken and parts are not available for 2-3 weeks or longer. So the whole unit is out of action for that long. When purchasing I should have done my due diligence and checked but these are made in China and I was hoping for German reliability. I could have done much better at a cheaper price. Now I am stuck with this without service from Bosch. When I asked Bosch for service they said they do not have service people in my area and to use someone in the market who is certified. The repairman came again, again stated that it could not be repaired and that the needed panel was backordered. It is now December and the needed part is not going to be available until after the first of the year. Bosch refuses to replace the oven and does not stand behind their product. I would never buy Bosch again. You cannot get a manager on the phone and the call center reps are belligerent.

My lower Bosch oven has always been slow to preheat but it wasnt until the oven surface was being cleaned while the oven was on that I realized that the oven was very hot to the touch on the lower outside of the oven door. Three visits by an authorized tech to rule out problems with the door and gaskets resulted in his conclusion that the oven has a defect that it is a fire hazard as heat is going into the surrounding wall. I am asking other consumers who find their ovens are slow to preheat to actually check the outside border of the oven while on to see if it is hot. I am filing complaints with the relevant state and federal consumer product safety organizations in the hope of starting a recall. So check your in the wall Bosch ovens while on.

Bosch is selling cheap Chinese made appliances that are some of the most overpriced and poorest performing of any. Our dishwasher cost $900 and was rated highly by Consumer Reports, which is why we bought it. It is a terrible dishwasher and now, after 18 months, it wont drain the rinse water. Called Bosch customer service and was told to google YouTube to find a fix. So I did and went through the videos of many, many other Bosch owners but in the end, none of their YouTube video solutions worked for my dishwasher. So, I bit the bullet and called an appliance repairman who came and fixed the problem after tearing apart most of the dishwasher. That cost me almost $200 and the repairman told me Bosch appliances are the worst hes ever seen in almost 30 years experience. He recommended that I buy another dishwasher pretty soon.

So... Im standing in the kitchen around 11 pm, watching a soccer game, getting ready to take the dog out. The bottom oven was on Proof at 95 making yogurt. I hear pop! pop!, look over at the 6-year old Bosch double oven. Flame is coming out of the vent at the top left of the oven. I walk over & blow on the flame. It goes out but is still smoking so I get the fire extinguisher & spray the vent a couple times. I spend the next hour or so cleaning up white powder that spread a lot further than I would have expected. Next day I call the local Bosch Certified Technician. We pull the ovens out so we can see the control boards behind the control panel at the top. Main control board has four melted relays as well as a bundle of burnt wires. Tech says he is going to recommend the oven be replaced instead of repaired, that there is probably more damage that will show up later and we will never trust this oven again. Tech takes a picture to send to the Bosch regional rep along with his report & says to call Bosch customer service. CSR says they need a copy of the original sale receipt. Of course, we cannot find it. I send the original packing sheet and call again. Different CSR says she will see if they can find it in their system & gives me the File #. Call again & CSR says they have enough info so it has been submitted to upper management, should have response in a couple days. The response: Bosch will replace the oven with the current equivalent model prorated. That means if we pay them $1649.50 (half the MSRP) they will remove the burnt oven, ship & install a new oven. I say My oven should not start on fire! Bosch should replace it with an oven that wont burn up without cost. CSR says he will submit my request. 2nd response is the same. The oven was part of a Bosch package including stove top, microwave, dishwasher, washer & dryer, refrigerator & tankless hot water heater. The control board burst into flame & apparently Bosch has no interest in finding out why. We rejected Boschs offer & purchased a different brand.

Bosch provided me a the worst service experience of my life! After less than 3 years the ice maker in my refrigerator/freezer stopped working. I contacted customer service and no one answered, so I went online and made a request for service. I got a call back 5 days later at which time I was told they couldn’t make an appointment because there was a systems problem and I should call back. That should have clued me of what was to come. Service was finally sent out after waiting more than a month for an open appointment. When service arrived they checked my water dispenser and told me my ice maker needed to be replaced. So I agreed and was told the new part needed to be ordered by me.I ordered the replacement ice maker and it was not available due to back order for more than 3 months! That’s ridiculous! Finally the part was available and service came out and told me the unit didn’t need replacing. It was just the “fill“ arm needed replacing. THIS WAS THE SAME TECHNICIAN THAT INITIALLY DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM 4 MONTHS EARLIER! After which the service rep said it was fixed. Needless to say it was not fixed and then I rescheduled a service call. When the unit was in fact replaced by a different tech. And I was charge almost $500 for the privilege of waiting 4 months for replacing an ice maker that I suspect, never needed it to begin with. I will never buy a Bosch appliance and I am telling everyone I know to do the same.

We purchased three Bosch products in December 2013: a dishwasher, and combo oven/microwave. (HBL 5750). Both the microwave and oven have malfunctioned to the point of being unusable. $200 later, we have a quote for almost $1000 to fix them, no warranty extension. Attempting to get Bosch’s attention and address what we consider a premature failure of their very expensive products has been an exercise in futility. Their representative asked for—and I provided—original documentation of purchase of these products and quote for repair. They responded by asking for the original receipt and repair quote on letterhead, despite the fact that I sent them the inside product serial tag for each item. The provenance if these products is NOT an issue, yet they continue to disavow responsibility. Contrast this to Grohe products: I called them about a failed soap dispenser and faucet, sent them the original order and my new faucet/dispenser is on their way!! What a pleasure to deal with them!! Bosch is NOT WORTH the price, they don’t stand by their products, they have terrible customer service and they are obstructive in trying to navigate their process. I was so looking forward and very excited to finally have Bosch appliances in my newly remodeled kitchen, however, I am now very disappointed and heartbroken with my first time Bosch appliance experience. Purchased the Bosch kitchen appliance suite and while the refrigerator and range seem to be fine, our installer discovered severe concealed damage to the $1000 dishwasher when unpacking to install. The inside of the dishwasher is crushed in from the top and the upper spray unit was dislodged from its bracket. The box arrived in perfect condition (as did the range and refrigerator) and no damage is noticeable until unpacked AND the felt covering is pulled back to see the damage to the outside of the unit. The response from the Bosch USA customer service team was that, upon review, they were unable (unwilling!) to help. When I asked to speak to the decision making manager I was told We are not allowed to do that. It would appear that the dishwasher was damaged at the Bosch factory and shipped to the distributor who also assumed the unit was undamaged due to the perfect condition of the box. Is this the way a world-renowned brand like Bosch provides excellent customer service and satisfaction?!? Really?!?

That happened in mid-February and it still has not shown (its now August 2021). We have tried to reach out and see what is going on; youre on hold for at least 30 minutes, then you speak with someone who has no idea how to track down the issue. We bought a new home about a year ago and we were happy that it came with a Bosch dishwasher. We had no idea that the dishwasher was on recall and about 6 months after we moved in, the dishwasher caught fire while we were in the living room. The only compensation that Bosch would offer us is 40% off another dishwasher if we order it through their website. Believe me, if your dishwasher bursts into flames in your kitchen and you have to have the fire department remove it from your home, you wont want to put the exact same product back in your house! We purchased a Bosch dishwasher because I liked the 3rd rack feature, the super quiet rating, and seemingly good reputation. This dishwasher does Not clean the cups or glasses. The glasses taste like soap and the cups are still dirty inside. The repair came out twice, changed the soap dispenser, told me not to use rinse aide, to always use the heavy setting and extra dry. The glasses are better, but the cups are not and I have to wash all the cups before they go into the machine. It can be hard to arrange the dishes in the lower rack. I have bent some of the tines to make a 9x13 baking dish fit.We bought this dishwasher and a GE range the same day, it took 2 months for delivery. Apparently, Bosch starts the warranty before the consumer actually has the product. The GE Range is still under warranty, while the Bosch dishwasher is not. GE starts the warranty upon delivery, not purchase, which seems much more fair to the consumer. Bosch warranty and service were both not much help. How a warranty can start before the product is in your home being used is ridiculous and unfair. But it doesn’t change the fact that it isn’t even a good dishwasher. We do Not recommend Bosch. Go GE.

From the start we could not dry dishes in the machine. Asked for service man to look at it to see why it would not dry dishes. We were told by service rep. that it was not designed to dry dishes. Went back to sales department at Lowes and were told that it was too bad but we purchased a dishwasher that didnt dry dishes. No recourse what so ever. If negative stars were possible they have sincerely earned it. We spent nearly 11,000 dollars in appliances and the combination wall oven microwave has never worked correctly. Bosch has tried and failed to fix the appliance three times. I have spent over 12 hours on the phone with Bosch, most of it on hold, trying to rectify this situation. I have asked for assistance to get the appliances replaced to no avail. On 1/3/18 they came and fixed the appliance for the third time. This fix was to replace the touch panel because the second trip to the house the technician replaced it with the wrong touch panel. When that technician was questioned about it he said, “That’s the right one for your oven” instead of holding the two next to each other to determine that it was in fact the wrong one. Then a different technician came to replace that touch panel with the correct one. That one, on the first use came up with fault codes saying that the electrical was too hot. Ten minutes later another code came on that says communication error now the oven won’t come on at all. I called to request that the appliances be taken out of my house and explained to them my concerns of faulty wiring. I also told them of my concerns of fire hazard and having my newly built home burned down. The representative told me that it needed to go to management and that I would be contacted in 24-48 hours. I was not contacted and after 72 hours I called them back to find out the first representative didn’t even send my file to management. I explained the situation and was told that it would have to go to management. I then asked to be transferred to management because I had no faith that I would be contacted. I was finally transferred to an “escalation manager” who was unable to help me and she transferred me to the “escalation supervisor” named Shawn. Shawn then explained to me that they would never refund my money for the appliances and that I was stuck them, but they might be able to replace the oven. I had already been told by two representatives that refunding the appliances was a possibility only to be told by this extremely unprofessional representative named Shawn that was not an option. He then told me it would have to go to management and I would be contacted in 24-48 hours. I cannot stress enough my displeasure with everything about Bosch most of all by their customer service. They are absolutely one hundred percent unprofessional hacks that will never get my business again. I will never buy anything with a Bosch affiliation again. Horrible company, horrible employees, and horrible products. Save yourself from this overpriced trash.

The same day (evening), my wife came the house to try the dishwasher—same problem. I called Bosch again and they sent back the same tech. Why doesn’t he know his own product? He was constantly on the phone with his supervisor. After he said what the problem was and that it cannot be fixed, he left. I called Bosch again and asked them what we planed to do. Rep from Bosch Home said that they switched company that’s making control panels for them and said that they will not be able to help me! I asked him if you are representing Bosch as a company with a big name and said this is not my problem if they change vendors. I cannot buy every 4 years a new dishwasher based on them saving on vendors! Also, I recommended him to just refund my $305 for the job that was never done. Bosch 800 slide in electric range.. 5 burner. There is a major flaw with the self-cleaning feature. After two hours of the four hour cleaning cycle, an error code, E302, appears on the panel. This has happened both times the oven has been cleaned. The instructions from Bosch Help Line (nothing in the manual regarding this problem) are to turn off the electrical breaker when the error message appears for ten to thirty minutes (depending on the representative you are talking with), then turn the breaker back on. The oven will then complete the cleaning process (hopefully). Why would you have to turn the breaker off each time you clean the oven? This range cost $1799.10 + tax. When we moved into a new house in 2009, we bought and installed a Bosch SHE45M05UC/50 dishwasher. It worked fine until about 2012. At that point cups on the top started coming out of the machine with white grit on the inside/outside. The same crud collected in the slides of both racks, along the seal of the door, and on the door where the plastic plate is on the top rack as well as other places. Now dishes on the bottom sometimes also have this gritty crud on them when we pull them out. We have a water softener so it isnt hard water, and the filters have been repeatedly scrubbed and rinsed. I always check to make sure the spray arms are able to rotate freely before I shut the door and turn it on. Ive had a trusted repairman out here twice and he cant figure it out. I read other posts about the circulation pump possibly being an issue but havent had it replaced. Im wondering if others have and if so, did it help? I certainly wouldnt buy another Bosh appliance. Recently I was given a yr-old Bosch dishwasher. The person who gave it to me was re-doing her kitchen and it was white. She was now going SS but she said it never cleaned properly. Knowing she was not one to scrape her dishes, I thought that might be the issue. Over the course of 15 yrs, I have had various Bosch dishwashers and they were notorious for leaving food behind. I figured by this time the problem would be fixed...wrong. The only way I can get clean dishes is to thoroughly wash everything before I put them in the machine and even then it doesnt guarantee anything. Its almost like it makes its own grime. I clean all of the multiple filters between each use. I make sure the spray arms are clean and moving. My hot water is at 140, I use Cascade Complete. It also takes forever to run a cycle 2 hours to get dirty dishes. My $199 Maytag with 1 wash are cleaned better than any of the Bosch Ive had. It is however very quiet.

This resulted in a multi-week delay in the remodel. Next, the microwave failed within a year of installation and then again within another year. We have paid more than $300 in repairs so far. Finally, with regard to business, we were promised a substantial rebate if we installed 3 or more appliances. We installed 4 but have not yet received the rebate. We have been pestering the dealer repeatedly for about 2 years now with no satisfaction. I will never again purchase a Bosch product.

Have had my Bosch front loader clothes washer for over 5 years. Bought it because I wanted to do my part to minimize my foot print in water usage. Yep. A pain the whole time. My saving grace on major repairs is that I bought an extended warranty thru Lowes, although theyve had trouble getting the right part from Bosch. (Certified Bosch repair is expensive and not readily available even in Houston.) Dryer has not been QUITE the pain of the washer. It does dry close really well. Just breaks down once a year and tangles your clothes.Longest wash cycle I have EVER seen... 45-60 minutes. The spin cycle works well enough, but your clothes get all tangled together, so they are more wrinkled. (So the efficiency of the dryer didnt speed up laundry duties. Dryer sits empty while I wait on the washer to finish... the opposite of washers and dryers of the past.) Right off the bat, the washer began to smell and the clothes, too. (Everyone must know this by now. Four years later, Tide comes out with a washing machine cleaner. Now the machine to clean my clothes needs a cleaner!!) Called for warranty work. Of course, they said it was MY fault. Too much detergent. NO. Wrong detergent. NO. Too large a load. NO. Too much fabric softener. NO. Well, then they say, leave it open between washes and run an empty wash with Clorox every few days. Excuse me? THIS is saving water??? Have to use a bleaching scrub and bristled brush to clean the rubber gasket around the door from the mold and mildew every couple of months, and run an empty wash to clean it before washing clothes again. (What do you think it looks like INSIDE where I cant see or reach???) So, we NEVER leave a washed load in for more than an hour, because it will need washing again.) Also run a bleach wash at least once a week (another delay), as a preventative measure, and supplement with small amount of baking soda. AND the clothes often dont smell clean. EVERY spot needs pre-treating. Towels are particularly tough to get smelling clean, and often the hand towels dont come clean in the most used areas.About every fifth wash load, the finished load is soaking wet. Since I cant tell when it malfunctioned, and if it did so with detergent in it (low sudsing detergent), I have to wash the load again. Another hour-long delay. P.S. Front loaders need to be raised, set up on a platform. Extra expense in purchase (and delivery and tax). You STILL have to lean down to drag the wet clothes out, and it locks you out (as it would have to) so you can never add a last minute item of clothing or extra cleaning product. Now, my start button is beginning to be difficult to press to start the process. AHHH! Well, I am off to read other blogs on other washers. Hubbie says GET ANOTHER WASHER! We have struggled long enough. And the Lowes warranty is expired. I will dismantle this one so that no one can ever get stuck with it.

I ordered a $3,300 Bosch double wall oven through Lowes in Feb. 2012 in preparation for our new kitchen in our new house. The oven was installed in May 2012 and I immediately noticed a defect in the surface of the interior panel of the door of the lower oven. I called Bosch for a service tech. They gave me the name of the closest person. He and his grandson came out on May 31st and said they had never seen an oven like that before. I told them not to work on it if they did not know how. They said they could put the new part on, but they didnt even know how to take the door off the lower oven. They ended up dropping it and shattering the layers of glass in the door all over my kitchen floor. I called Bosch and they said they would send the parts for a new door and have a tech from San Antonio come out to put the new door parts together. I was without an oven door for nine (9) weeks. Parts were sent separately in about six boxes. The tech from San Antonio came and got the boxes, and we took some in too. Finally, a teenage looking boy came with the so-called newly put together door. It rattled, had a sharp edge and a gap between the interior metal panel and the glass. I told him it was not right, but he insisted it was. We had to go out of town for three months, but I called the corporate secretary and told her about the poorly put together door and she said she would make sure we got a new door when we got back home in Dec. 2012. We have called repeatedly only to be told someone would be in touch with us very soon to make the necessary repairs. They now say they wont replace the door with a new one as they have been promising. They are terrible to work with and nothing is getting done. I will never buy another Bosch product and will tell anyone I meet not to buy their products.

I bought my Bosch on 3/13/2011. I began to smell an unpleasant odor a day after washing a load of dishes. It smelled like sewer. I called Bosch, they said the drain line was hooked up wrong. My husband checked and it was like they said it should be. I had the repair department from Lowes to come out. He replaced the drain hose, checked everything else and said I was good to go. He said I was using too much detergent. I did what he said about cleaning it and changed detergents and it still is smelling. I have had dishwashers for 40 years and never had this problem with any of them. Can you help me with this? I love the quietness of the Bosch, but cant live with the odor.

We bought a Bosch Silence Plus 44 dishwasher less than 6 months ago (July 15) for $875; counting installation, just shy of a grand. Less than 6 months later, most of the dishes are coming out dirty and the pump sounds anemic. I first registered on the Bosch site, then contacted customer service. They did not have any access to their own database, which meant I had to repeat everything all over again. They then sent me to do my own legwork, giving me the name of one contractor 1.5 hours away. The contractor then told me they did not cover my area. Bosch doubted my word and called that contractor when I called to tell them what happened. When the contractor confirmed, they never apologized, but just gave me the names of two other contractors, and told me they could not help me schedule an appointment but I have to do it myself, and they have no way to know how long the wait may be (Those of you who are posting about 1-wk waits apparently ought to be thankful Bosch at least held your hand. As of January 2016 they are not even extending that courtesy). The first contractor I called said there will be a 3-week wait. My husband is German, and used to swear by Bosch. When we lived in Switzerland, we had Bosch appliances that worked like a charm. We inherited an old Bosch washer when we bought our house that still works quite well. Apparently the company has decided to spend down its reputation. As the Germans would say, schade (shame).

I had a similar Bosch in a home I purchased in 2015 and I love everything about it. I moved in 2017 and of course purchased another Bosch fridge. This one works well, but it has a feature on the shelves that wastes a huge amount of space and makes the actual useable height of the shelves 1” shorter than the actual height. Somehow I didnt notice it in the store despite looking at it a number of times. It could be that they changed the shelves recently and the store model didnt have the brace across the front of each shelf. Its almost impossible to seein the photos. A tall drink bottle wont fit without angling it and even worse, the upper shelves are only 3 1/4” high instead of 4” high if it didn’t have that weird brace across the front. It make it so that only ver short items can go on that shelf. The bottom shelf in 10’ tall because of the brace, Hill without it, it would be 11 1/8” high. If I can find shelves without the brace, it would be worth it to me to replace these shelves at my own expense because Best Buy won’t do anything about it.

I purchased this dryer and washer combo because I needed a compact wd set, I actually purchased 2 sets. I'll number my points of why I like/dislike this dryer. 1) It was annoying to have my electrician had to put in a 4 prong outlet. It costs more money than I wanted to spend 2) I had no idea this thing was going to drain onto my floor (it was my error, I was so eager to dry clothes after hanging it outside all summer to dry, so I just ran the load to dry making my floor wet by simply plugging and playing. 3) THIS TAKES FOREVER TO DRY. But it was SO WORTH IT not ironing or finding all my clothes bone dried and wrinkled. I finally caught on the trick of putting it running a longer time and not overloading it. I actually enjoy doing laundry more because folding wrinkle-free clothes and hanging up wrinkle-free clothes was a godsend in my family of 6. I am just happy I purchased 2. Now I can dry clothes and do all my laundry at once. I strongly dislike dirty laundry so so so much. 4) It's Ventless! COME ON NOW, no hole in your wall that you have to cover with foundation plantings that end up burning up and full of lint? THAT'S AN A+++++ in my book. My last dryer was a vented dryer from Bosch, and that thing was ok not awesome because of the wrinkles but the lint buildup was significant all over the duct. I couldn't sleep at night if I knew the dryer was running because I was terrified of a risk of fire. 5) The clothes come out soft, fluffy and light. Like not hard, crispy and extremely, extremely dry. Its just a perfect dryness. 6) The room is warm because of the vent. I love this feature in the winter. In the summer, I'm not inside enough to care but my electrician is recommending an exhaust fan. Nah, I'll just open a window. It hasn't bothered me yet. 7) Its awesome, compact size allowed me to hook it up temporarily anywhere- my kitchen, my basement etc during the renovation. Get one, you won't regret it. You'll even feel more European in the process.

Bought Bosch dishwasher model shown below in July 2016. After a little over 2 years of normal use, the unit required $295 of repair work. Had to replace the control board (under warranty) and the heat pump (not under warranty). Bosch 800 Series 2434 Tall Tub BuiltIn Dishwasher with StainlessSteel Tub White - Model: SHX68T52UC SKU: 8862445. Called Bosch customer service to see if Bosch would cover the repairs. I was very disappointed with Bosch for not covering all repair work costs. I purchased this unit because of the reviews it got in Consumer Reports. Unfortunately I am one of those that got no help from Bosch. They said there is nothing they can do and that I would have to pay $99 for them to send someone out. And that only covers the first 18 minutes of diagnostics. From there it was $120/hr. This microwave is part of an oven combo unit that cost over $2200 so it is not as simple as just replacing the microwave either. Thought I was getting a high end product but I guess not. I bought an entire Bosch kitchen last summer. I was cleaning last month and noticed rust and pitting on the door of the fridge. I called Bosch and they asked me to send in pictures to file a claim, so I did my best to show the pitting in the pictures but the surface glare made it difficult. About 2 weeks after I sent in my official claim email I get a response (the initial receipt of the email said I would hear back within 5 business days).Bosch informs me that rust is a surface cosmetic issue and not covered under the warranty so I call to ask if they saw that there were holes in the stainless door. They said it all looked like surface rust and could be cleaned off. But they were willing to give me 25% off if I want to replace the door. I spent about 10 minutes talking before asking for a supervisor. Talking with the supervisor I was able to get them to send a technician to diagnose if there are actually holes. May 17th: technician confirms that there is uncleanable pitting in the stainless steel door.Today: May 31st (2weeks since diagnosis) I get a call that they will pay for the parts of the door as a goodwill gesture but not for the labor of the replacement. So they admit that their product is bad but wont actually pay to replace it, instead trying to frame it as they are doing me a favor. Absolutely horrendous service, to admit that the door is flawed and provide a new door but make me pay for the labor to replace it (~200$). This has officially been the worst customer service experience I have ever experienced. The representatives were defensive and unwilling to take responsibility for their faulty product. I will never again buy a Bosch appliance and Ill also be sure that no one else does if I can help it.

My experience with a Bosch dishwasher was having it hang up during a cycle and not shut off. This was the first month I used it. Turns out it was under recall for a control board failure that had caused fires. Unfortunately only a licenced Bosch repair company could do the warranty work. Closest and only (?) one in OR is 90 mins away. Control board costs half of what a good competitor brand machine costs. Since having it fixed, if the machine gets interrupted by power bump, door open, off button pressed, or anything, then it loses its place and is a nightmare to reset. Try googling how to reset one. Note the multiple ways given and question how or why there are so many. If I can just get it to drain this time, I have a Maytag waiting in the kitchen to take its place.

Purchased Bosch dishwasher (Dishwasher SHX68T55uc/01) from Lowe’s - came without plug to connect to power. Was told several times by Bosch customer service that the power cord was an option. The power cord has a special plug associated with it so it cannot be connected to power without the special cord. Also the rubber gasket on the side of the unit was pinched in the door and had taken an improper set which interfered with the door seal. Bosch said since this was a floor model that it was purchased as is. I also received a sound deadening device with the unit that Bosch denies belongs to them. We bought our Bosch dishwasher in 2012 because we heard they were the best from the salesman (I think it was because he got a spiff for selling that brand that month). I am sorry to say that the dishwasher is leaking due to a defective valve. Bosch customer service claimed our dishwasher is “old”. They also state that their dishwasher life expectancy is only 10 years now. Hmm. My last KitchenAid dishwasher turned 15 years old when we sold the house and the owner said it went out finally after 20 years. My GE at our other house is still going strong after 14 years. Bosch is not what it use to be and their customer service manager is rude. When a company has it in the back of their head that their appliances are pretty much done at 10 years that says something about their philosophy behind building them. Just saying.

Does a great job. Very pleased from the towels to the farm clothes grease and grime the machine cleans well. We live on a farm and the water use was a big selling point for me, it was great not having the constant worries thru the drought. The shorter cycles on the machine is what I use most, the more grime the more time for washing. I have had big top loader machines all along when our 4 children were growing up but now with mainly 2 to 4 adults and some times the grandbabies its perfect.A friend recommended the brand, I had people say they werent happy with the front loaders. We bought a Bosch gas range four years ago. I did the research and consumer reports said it was the best. Within the year, the front door wouldnt close completely. We had the company we bought it from come and fix it; it was still under the one-year warranty that time. Life was wonderful, except that the front knobs were a little loose from the heat that had been escaping with the door not closed. When the new hinges failed (again, less than a year after being installed), I called the store again, and had them come back and do it again. They gave me a hefty bill for it, which I disputed, since it was only a matter of months since it had been fixed. The one-year warranty was only from the date of purchase, so I paid it.Last summer, the door started its migration from the frame once again so, being the clever ** that I am, I propped the door shut with a kitchen chair. We really struggled to shut it enough for Thanksgiving dinner, and hadnt used it since. Our Vermont Castings gas grill was our primary cooking device--everything from apple pie to ziti--ever since.I bit the bullet last month and had them come again. They did half the work as they had to order a door repair kit (obviously, we are not the first to experience this). Now, with the new door kit and replacement knobs, we are looking forward to another 10 months (hopefully) of having an oven. Our broiler hasnt worked since it was fixed, but I havent complained about it because I cant afford to.

I called them a week ago re draining issues and had to wait a week for them to come out. I received an e mail from them telling me they would call the day before or the morning of the service call to narrow the time slot down a bit. This made me happy. No call yesterday or early this morning. I called them and they said they would check into it and call back. They called back and told me the service guy hurt himself and was not coming. They said not to worry, they can have someone out in a few days. This would be a second day I would have to take off work, I could have purchased another new dishwasher for the 2 days I need to take off. Do not buy Bosch appliances, terrible appliances and worse service.UPDATED ON 11/02/2015: On Oct 6th I sent in a review about how bad Bosch dishwashers are and the service was even worse. Since then they sent a service tech from an outside organization out and the service person said the line was clogged, not a dishwasher problem. I asked why the dishwasher just stopped mid cycle and would not go any further including pumping water out. He said to get rid of the air gap loop the hose up and connect it directly to the disposal and all will be fine. I did as he said and not only is it against the national code, but all is not fine. This dishwasher does a very good job at getting all of my dishes clean. Even those that have dried food stuck to them. It does everything I need it to do. Although, this dishwasher does not have heated dry option. I am fine with this, as the heat from the wash gets most everything dry. It has basic regular, light, heavy duty settings. Thats all I need! I feel if they were orientated differently I might be able to load easier. Its a nice stainless steel washer! When researching this dishwasher, only negative thing I could find was issues with the door latch. Knowing this, I exercise extra caution in opening and closing. It does open stiffly.

After careful review of the facts Bosch Australia kindly repaired the washing machine and kept in contact with me at each stage. This has restored my faith in the Bosch brand. Overall, they managed the situation with professionalism.

The dryer has been problem free. I have had this dryer for almost three years and have not had any problems. We live in a condo so we purchased this model because of the smaller size. It is fine for two people, but I would not recommend it for a family. The only downside is that it cannot handle large bulky items such as king size blankets.

Purchased our Bosch Dishwasher in January 2020 and now, 6 1/2 months later it needs repair. Contacted Bosch Customer service to have an approved company come in for repairs and was given three local contacts. One did not service my area. The other told me it would take 4 weeks for someone to come out and service our dishwasher. I notified customer service of this poor response but was told that they could nothing do about this. They blamed it on Covid. Called my Bosch authorized dealer, who is not a Bosch authorized repair service, but who installed my dishwasher and they were able to put me on the schedule within 24 hours. The drawback: I got to pay and my warranty is no longer in effect. So warning to all: Bosch does not take care of their customers and their attitude towards their customers was borderline rude, extremely dismissive and smug. An all-around horrible experience.
