Bosch Washer Model WMZPW2XW Error Codes

CODE: Er:01
PROBLEM: Door is open
FIX: Unplug the washer and reconnect any loose wires on the door lock assembly wire harness. Replace the wire harness if damaged. If the wire connections are okay, replace the door lock assembly.

CODE: Er:04
PROBLEM: Door lock relay won't activate
FIX: Unplug the washer for 3 minutes to reset the control module. If the code returns after you plug it back in, replace the control module.

CODE: Er:05 and Er:06
PROBLEM: Water temperature sensor is defective
FIX: Unplug the washer and reconnect any loose wires on the water temperature sensor (also called the negative temperature coefficient, or NTC). Replace the wire harness if damaged. If the wire connections are okay, replace the water temperature sensor.

CODE: Er:07
PROBLEM: Unexpected heating (water heats up without the control module activating the heater)
FIX: Unplug the washer and check the heater for visible damage. A damaged heater could be shorting out to the metal cabinet, causing the element to heat constantly. Replace the heater if damaged. If the heater is okay, replace the control module because the relay that controls the heater is likely stuck in the On position.

CODE: Er:08
PROBLEM: Heating time exceeded (heater doesn't turn off)
FIX: Unplug the washer and check the heater for visible damage. A damaged heater could be shorting out to the metal cabinet, causing the element to heat constantly. Replace the heater if damaged. If the heater is okay, replace the control module because the relay that controls the heater is likely stuck in the On position.

CODE: Er:09
PROBLEM: No communication between control module and motor control module
FIX: Unplug the washer and reconnect any loose wires on the control module and the motor control module. If the connections are okay, replace the wire harness. If the problem persists, replace the motor control module. In some cases, the main control module also must be replaced.

CODE: Er:11 and Er:12
PROBLEM: Water fill time exceeded
FIX: Make sure that both water supply valves behind the washer are fully open. In winter, check the fill lines for freezing. Check the drain system for a siphon problem. If the water inlet valve assembly is defective, replace it.

CODE: Er:13
PROBLEM: Drain time exceeded
FIX: Remove any clogs from the house drain for the washer. Remove any clogs or kinks from the washer drain hose. Unplug the washer and check the large-item filter in the drain pump for a clog. If the drain pump is defective, replace it.

CODE: Er:14
PROBLEM: Overfill level reached
FIX: If the washer is not overfilled, the water level pressure switch is likely defective and will need to be replaced. If the washer is overfilled, shut off the water supply faucets behind the washer. The drain pump runs continuously when this code is displayed and should pump out the water. Unplug the washer and open the water supply valves. If the washer fills when the electrical power is disconnected, replace the water inlet valve assembly.

CODE: Er:17
PROBLEM: Aquastop error
FIX: The Aquastop float switch in the base of the washer cabinet trips if water leaks into the base of the washer cabinet. Unplug the washer and check for water in the base of the cabinet. If water is present, repair the source of the leaking. If the base of the cabinet is dry, check for a foreign object stuck under the float switch. If the Aquastop float switch is defective, replace it.

CODE: Er:20
PROBLEM: Spin cycle terminated
FIX: Either the spin cycle ended because of a severely unbalanced load or communication was lost between the motor control module and the main control module. If the load was unbalanced, manually balance the load and remove some items to reduce the size of the load. If the washer still won't spin, unplug the washer and reconnect any loose wires on the control module and the motor control module. Replace the wire harness if damaged. If the wire harness connections are okay, replace the motor control module. If the problem persists, replace the control module.

CODE: Er:21
PROBLEM: Excessive foam detected
FIX: Use the proper amount of high-efficiency (HE) detergent in the washer. Most loads need only 1 tablespoon of HE detergent due to the reduced water level in this front-load washer.

CODE: Er:22
PROBLEM: Electrical power supply problem
FIX: Make sure the power cord for the washer is plugged in. If so, test the electrical outlet by plugging in a lamp or small appliance. If the electrical outlet doesn't work, have an electrician repair the outlet. If the outlet works, unplug the washer and reconnect any loose wires on the control module. If the power cord or outlet plug is damaged, replace it.

CODE: Er:25
PROBLEM: Door lock is blocked
FIX: The door lock coil overheated because of repeated attempts to lock or unlock the door. Check the door lock assembly for damage or a foreign object stuck in the locking mechanism. If the door lock assembly is damaged, replace it.

As my wife and I are empty nesters and owners of a new home three years ago we splurged and bought what we thought would be our last washer and dryer. Next 700 series. They were highly recommended almost everywhere we looked. Total farce. These machines are worthless. Ditto to almost all of the prior listings and complaints. Bosch totally unresponsive to requests for help. They should be restricted from selling future appliances until they get quality under control.

The panel on front that serves as the only handle - you pull to open the dishwasher - has cracked. It clearly will not last much longer. Very bad design. The dishwasher has been installed for about three years. So far the control buttons havent popped off, but I gather that is next. I bought a Bosch because a Swedish friend had one some years ago that was wonderful. Apparently, Bosch did not travel well.

If you want a company that honorably stands behind its products, and has caring customer service, then DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT!!!! purchase a Bosch product. Dishwasher malfunctioning and you are just out of warranty? They dont care. Paid $1500? Oh well... too bad. I purchased a $1500 Bosch dishwasher. 3 repairs to the malfunctioning salt indicator in first 22 months of ownership. Bosch would do NOTHING for us. BTW, paying more for a dishwasher does not in itself shield you from malfunctions. Moreover, our old $500 Maytag worked flawlessly for 12 years. BOSCH = Bad Overall Service Customers Have.

Let me start by saying I have lived in 2 apartments with a combined total of 6 Bosch appliances, 3 of which have failed. In my old apartment, we had the Axxis Washer and Dryer (top/bottom) units. The dryer never dried. After numerous service calls which my landlord paid for, it finally worked. The washer also leaked water extensively, causing the hardwood floor boards to come up.In my new apartment, we have the exact same washer and dryer which have worked fine. Problem? The cooktop and oven. Both failed the same exact month. The cooktop igniter would not stop clicking and the electric oven would not heat, even though it was receiving power and all else functioned. I had a technician from Bosch who came to diagnose. He knew less about ovens than he did English. Could not understand a word he said. He fussed around with the cooktop for an hour and proclaimed some part to be broken. Cost? $800. Are you for real? The cooktop NEW is $700. As for the oven, he claimed the element needed replacement. Cost? $1000. I kicked him out of my house and they still billed me $160 for the service call. Bosch, you are the absolute worst. I will never buy an appliance from you again.

Installed 12/5/2018. Unlike my friends Bosch DW, this one had a top drawer that was diabolically designed to prevent efficient loading with flatware. We called William who told us there was another drawer, and gave us a part # and price, but no free exchange. The next day we called back and ordered this “other drawer”. It arrived Friday 12/28/18. It was the exact same drawer we did not like. We called 12/31/18, and were on hold/ignore for 25 minutes, after which the CSA told us to call back on 1/2/2019. We called back and spoke with Kay **, Customer Support Representative (US/MA-CSCN9), who said there was no “other drawer” and could I get a part number from my friend? Within two days, I did get my friend’s part number, but found out from https://www.bosch-home.com/us/store/accessories/dishwashing/accessories/baskets-and-holders/... That that part is not compatible with my new dishwasher.Since there was apparently nothing BOSCH could or would do for me, I called to return the redundant part today 1/8/19. “Monica” gave me all sorts of flak about how all of this was MY fault, and that they would make no exceptions, and I could return it at my expense, and pay a 25% restocking fee on the wrong part, and even that I would have to wait 48 hours to get a return label sent to my e-mail account. Needless to say, while some lucky people have had good luck with their machines, and some may even have gotten good customer service, I was treated like trash. I now humbly vow I will NEVER willingly buy a BOSCH anything ever again.

12 year old double oven needed electronics replaced 6 or 7 years ago. Now two different companies have sent technicians out six or seven times and no one can repair it. Pretty much all electronic boards and touch pads replaced multiple times to no avail. lt resets itself spontaneously for date & time randomly for no reason we can figure out. What seems to be happening is the following: if we are in a cooking mode, such as sabbath mode, and the date and time resets while the oven is on, it becomes impossible to turn the oven off. When the reset screen is on pushing the off button does not change the display, and appears to do nothing. When the date and time has been reset even though the Sabbath mode is still on, the screen does not show it. Pushing the off button also does not change the display and nothing happens. It seems that we need to reset the date and time first and then turn the same sabbath mode on again and once it is on again then it will shut off.The odds of this happening during sabbath mode operation is the greatest as that mode is on for 24 hours at a minimum at a time. Although I suppose the clock could reset itself during any cooking mode. This is potentially dangerous as the oven may inadvertently be left on, and I cannot actually determine that it remains at exactly the same temperature and mode it was in before the reset happened. In fact, earlier the oven we just continue to get hotter and hotter heating up the wall around it until we turned off the main circuit breaker. We paid almost $1,000 for service. What do we do now?

Bought a very expensive Bosch slide in range and we are extremely disappointed! First of all, the oven takes FOREVER to heat, the oven door has something happening in between the glass panels that slightly obstructs the view (happened just a year after the purchase), replaced the electrical panel which cost us $450 and now none of the burners are igniting, so well endure another repair! This is all within a five year period! Dont buy Bosch - its junk! We never had to repair our cheap Kenmores - EVER!

3-4 years ago my husband and I bought a Bosch dishwasher. My husband knew he was dying and he didnt want me dealing with new appliances after he died. He insisted Bosch had the best ratings. We bought this at Lowes in Saint Joseph, Mo. It was not a cheap model. I see ads about their dishwashers being the best and I say what a joke. This never worked good like I expected. I have had one man work on it and he said they make these to work thru balance of the bottom with the water. It didnt work better after he tried to fix it. This am the dishes were dirty, soap container didnt even open. I use very hot water and the steam probably helps a little but never really clean. No I never called the company. I was dealing with a dying husband. I knew they would simply say out of warranty after my husband died 9 months ago. I dont know what I will buy next but do know what it wont be... Bosch.

I purchased a Bosch dishwasher model SHE45M05UC that was delivered in Augus
I purchased a Bosch dishwasher model SHE45M05UC that was delivered in August 2009 from Freidmans Appliance in Pleasant Hill, CA. I had my last dishwasher, a Whirlpool for over 20 years without a single problem. Freidmans told me they were out of stock of the model that I originally ordered and substituted in the SHE45M05UC. I ordered the model just below this one. I noticed after I began using it that the rack continually got stuck even when I pushed it in very carefully. This caused many of my dishes to break when they clashed against each other as the rack jammed. I have a stack of cracked and chipped dishes, and have suffered a lot of damages. Freidmans did nothing to help me when I reported it to them. I didnt live in my house or use the dishwasher in 2010, I am the only one who uses it and I only run it about once a week or so. I also reported the problem to Purcell Murrays showroom in Brisbane and talked directly to one of the owners about it and he failed to replace the dishwasher. About a month ago towards the end of June, all of a sudden a huge amount of suds came poring out of the dishwasher as it was running. When I opened the dishwasher it was full of suds and full of water at the bottom of the dishwasher. I called Freidmans and spoke to Shannon who told me she would call Bosch service center to see what could be done and she would call me the following day. She never called me. I left several messages for her yet she failed to return my calls. I recall back in 2009 when I talked to Steve, the man who sold me the faulty dishwasher - he never would return my calls and he refused to exchange the dishwasher when I reported the fault with the rack that always sticks. I went into Freidmans yesterday to follow up because Shannon had failed to call me as she said she would and had not returned my calls. The salesman Steve had a little smile on his face as I discussed the issue with Shannon. Shannon again said shed call me the next day which was Monday, yet she didnt call the next day. Today I called for Mathew **, the store manager, just as I did back in 2009. Mathew does not ever return calls. I was told by Shannon that Mathew would call me in a few minutes and now one hour later he has not called me. I called a couple of times asking for Mathew and he would not come to the phone. I have used the dishwasher no more than 200 times in the past years and most of the time it is only half full and I run it on light. Now it does not work at all!! You dont want to do business with Freidmans in Pleasant Hill, CA and definitely dont want to purchase Bosch appliances. I know there is a class action lawsuit against Bosch for their washer dryers and I bet there are enough consumers with dishwasher problems to support a suit for the dishwasher defects. Bosch does not support or stand behind their products and Freidmans doesnt either. In fact I have never experienced such inconsideration for customers as I have at Freidmans. They are just about making a fast buck and could care less if their customer is ripped off. What do you say?

I recently purchased a home that came with a 2015 Bosch dishwasher. I had Miele dishwashers for the past 20 years and a always extremely satisfied. Always cleaned well and never had any bad odor. I assumed Bosch would be similar quality. I was sadly MISTAKEN! From day 1 I noticed it did not clean nearly as well. First we started making sure all dishware was put in perfectly aligned. Never overlapping, then we began rinsing the dishes more than we ever had in the past, then we tried changing detergent, then we put the machine to the heavy and sanitize settings, still every time we unload... I have to scrub, rinse or polish the dishes, glassware or cutlery. What a pain. My sister in law complained a few years ago that she found her Bosch appliances awful, I figured she wasn’t “treating“ them properly. Now I understands what she means. In the end it is not a good product and can never be compared to Miele.

Purchased a dishwasher and oven in 2007. The DW was rated #1 and environmentally friendly... Its not ... It requires expensive rinse agents and it doesnt clean the dishes. The heating elemental either never worked or broke just outside of the 1-year-warranty. We had purchased the extended warranty so at least they fixed it.... But it still cost that added $150 bucks. The convection oven was also $1000 and doesnt cook several trays of cookies perfectly as advertised...not worth the money. Two years ago the main computer module fell off the back... The glue dried out that held it in place. Thankfully we jerry-rigged it back. Now the oven door wont close properly, so the oven turns itself off. We called for service and they said the part is $240 plus $150 for labor. I called customer service to see if they could help out... Nope... They blame me... I must have set something too heavy on the door.

I bought my 800 series Bosch dishwasher a year and a half ago and while there were some bumps because I bought a used one from the Sears Discount Center the representatives were very prompt about repairing and then replacing my defective machine. Now that I have a functioning dishwasher it is not only my very favorite appliance of my house, it is one of my most beloved possessions. There are 10 people in my family and we are able to stack in a huge amount of dishes because the spacing of the racks are so well designed and the additional 3rd rack is able to accommodate all of the silverware. I have never had such clean dishes with so little pre-cleansing before I put the dishes in. There are times that still needs servicing due to the hard water in Arizona but once it is cleaned I am once again left with immaculately clean dishes every time, including my Bosch mixer which I can put in encrusted with dried bread dough and pots and pans. I am very disappointed to hear all of these awful reviews when truly it is the best appliance I have ever owned. All of my friends who have Bosch dishwashers feel the same way I do. There is no reason to buy any other brand. Do not let these bad experiences scare you away from a truly miraculous piece of equipment.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND BOSCH!! Poor customer service and bad products. I installed all new Bosch products for my remodeled kitchen 3 years ago. I noticed rust stains on my dishwasher about 2 years ago, and they became worse and worse to the point that friends who came over asked me why my dishwasher looked like that. Bosch customer service told me that they can only give me 50% off a new panel (and charge me additional for tax and freight), and I would have to pay $129 for the cost of their installer. I bought an oven, microwave, dishwasher and stove from them, and this is all they could do for me! They said to use a rust stain remover, and implied it was the kind of products I was using that caused the rust! I told them I never saw stainless steel rust, and this was the only appliance that was rusting. If you google other sites, many customers indicate that the materials in their stainless steel was not good. In addition, my cooktop had to be returned because the stainless steel near the burners were turning brown from the flames. Another product defect, and they had to replace my cooktop. Very disappointed in their customer service - the company does not support their products or their customers! BEWARE!

April 25th 2017 we took our new refrigerator home. Everything was fine until August 21 it stopped cooling. Called Factory Direct Appliance because I bought the extended warranty and they said to call Bosch. So I called Bosch and they set me up with a ticket and recommended a repair place that services their appliances. That company is called At Your Service repair and they are as bad or worse than Bosch. They couldnt come out for a week. So a week without a fridge and when he shows up tells me that they have to order the part. A circuit board that tells the compressor to kick on. Tells me it will be a week and a half before they get it and sets a time to come back out. That day approaches, the Friday after Labor Day, and I hadnt heard from anyone so I called them. They proceed to tell me that the part is on backorder and they have no idea when it will get here. So I waited a week or two and decided to call Bosch again. They tell me that it is on backorder until December. So I said no problem, replace my refrigerator. They said send us proof of purchase and the diagnostic from the repair shop so I did. Another week goes by and I hear nothing. So I call Bosch again, and now they miraculously found the part from Appliance Parts Depot. Meanwhile the repair place has closed the ticket because they were told it would be replaced. So Bosch says that they are sending the part to At Your Service. I call at At Your Service and they know nothing of it. Keep in mind here who is doing all the calling. Neither of these outfits called or cared how I was doing, if I was taken care of or if I was happy or satisfied. So now when I call one they send me to the other and vice versa. So now they do not want to replace my refrigerator and in fact are putting an aftermarket part in it. In a week it will be 2 months without a refrigerator and I am still the one calling trying to get answers and just get my appliance replaced. Bosch sucks. I was looking at buying a Bosch table saw, cordless drills etc. because I liked the way they perform but I will never buy anything Bosch because they dont stand behind their product and they definitely dont care about their consumers.

It gets the dishes clean. Thats all it does... cleans dishes. Im very happy with the results. Third (top) rack for utensils or silverware -- no more bending to load the silver, its waist height and sooo easy to load then transfer to drawers when cleaned. Besides the absolute quiet of the machine the silverware rack is my favorite feature! Its 24 wide -- standard full size under counter DW. Clean lines, Stainless steel finish, Control panel is hidden. There are a couple of options for handle/no handle. I paid slightly more than most major brands -- and it was money well spent. This dishwasher is so much better, quieter, more convenient than my previous two.

Purchased 2 dishwashers from Sears. One went to daughter. Hers broke down in first month of having it. Customer service gave us two repair companies to call. Repairman came out and had to call Bosch to have them walk through what to do in finding out what is wrong. Finally after a couple of calls, parts had to be ordered. I called customer service when I found out part was on backorder for 2 or more weeks. They explained part had just come in that day but would not go out to repair service for at least 10 days or so. I explained that she had the machine for about a month and now it is going to be out of service for that long. Customer service said they would expedite it. They would call and let us know it was on way. I had to call again because now a second or third part I didnt know about is on backorder. Has been 2 weeks and no one has let us know how things are going. Will not buy Bosch again. Customer service is pitiful. I worry my machine will break down now. Thought Bosch was a good company. I talked to so many customer service people and they didnt know what was going on. Talked to a manager and she was condescending and no help. No thanks, Bosch is worthless.

I have a Bosch Evolution Gas Range that we have had for about 4 years. I have been quite happy with the range for the most part, except for the ongoing problem with the oven door not closing. I have done some research and it appears to be a very common problem that has been going on for years! I am extremely unhappy that such a well known company with such a good reputation would risk losing satisfied customers by ignoring this issue! Dont you understand that poor customer service can destroy that wonderful reputation? How can I, in good conscience, recommend a company that will not take responsibility for a chronic and common problem with their product? The answer is, I cant! Im very disappointed. The fridge broke in less than a year and when I reached out to Bosch to get a repair they sent me to a third party company that sent out a person who evaluated the fridge and said we needed parts to fix it. They ordered parts, after 2 weeks they told me the parts on back order. I called Bosch directly and they said the parts were being ordered directly from them and they are not on back order. So they suggested to send their own technician to come and fix the fridge with the parts. The technician they sent a week later had no idea why he was there and had no parts. They needed to send a different technician the following week. When he finally arrived he said the fridge is broken and needed to be replaced that it cannot be repaired. Bosch a week later after their process said that fridge is discontinued and they needed to order a different model that is also the same size and cost. We waited another 2 weeks for that fridge and when that finally came it was the wrong size. My 73 year old parents have been without a properly working fridge for over a month. They lost money on spoiled food and having to eat out and had to buy another small fridge to be able to live. The customer representatives seem extremely unorganized, unprofessional. I have never had such a terrible experience. This company is a nightmare to deal with. Im not sure how this will be resolved but we have lost money and lots of time and stress and still dont have the right fridge in place.

We had a long power cut yesterday. My washing machine was working at the time of the power cut. When the power came back on again the machine showed a warning light that indicated there was a problem with the motor. I tried the Bosch website and found a section about self-help and put in the model number - it was not recognised so I contacted Bosch customer service. I explained the problem. They were supremely UNHELPFUL; said I needed an engineer and offered to book one with a £95 call out. I searched online how to reset my Bosch washing machine after a power cut. The instructions were simple and took about 20 seconds to complete. SHAME ON YOU YET AGAIN BOSCH. Previously I had tried to buy new baskets for my Bosch dishwasher but at £126 EACH I did not!!! They are OUTRAGEOUS.

We purchased our 800 Series from Lowes. I wish I had returned it. The wheels on the lower rack were poorly designed (product manager should be fired). If there are any dishes in the lower rack, you cannot pull the rack out. Its frustrating to struggle with this everyday, and with the price we paid, I really expected a better dishwasher. I have called customer service three times. They have been no help - instead, they wanted to send out a service person. (Can you fix bad design?) The last agent said, Oh, we have a fix for that now - has anyone offered to send you the fat wheels. The wheels were not wider, and they were not a fix. The rack constantly gets rolls off track and gets stuck inside the dishwasher. So - if youre going to purchase any Bosch at all - you might want to try putting a few plates into the bottom rack and see if it pulls out. This one bad design feature overshadows the third rack for silverware and any other nifty features. If you cannot get the most important design right, the rest do not matter. Oh, and you must thoroughly prewash your dishes as this 800 Series cannot do the job on its own.

I bought a Bosch SHE3AR7UC Ascenta dishwasher about 6 months ago after my previous low end unit got too noisy after 9 years of service to me and more to the previous homeowner). Given the price and ratings, I expected a trouble free appliance. Yes, it is quiet. But it arrived with internal damage and when I called them, they said they could replace the bent up tray. I said I was uncomfortable with that, as I didnt know what other damage may have been caused. I was not given a choice so accepted their offer. Months later, it has failed about 6 times, and is now unusable. Error 15, 24, and sometimes wont reset or power off. The repairman comes in a few days, meanwhile I am handwashing dishes after spending 800 bucks! And they wont replace it, despite having shipped me a damaged unit. Customer service on the phone is also poor, unless you get past the front line folks. I will never buy Bosch again.

Particularly when fully loaded the bottom rack wont stay in the track and falls into the tub. We just had Abt Appliance out since the dishwasher is only a month old. Tech said that this is a common complaint and Bosch has not done anything to address it. Very frustrating since it forces you to have to only partially load the lower rack. I ordered a $3,300 Bosch double wall oven through Lowes in Feb. 2012 in preparation for our new kitchen in our new house. The oven was installed in May 2012 and I immediately noticed a defect in the surface of the interior panel of the door of the lower oven. I called Bosch for a service tech. They gave me the name of the closest person. He and his grandson came out on May 31st and said they had never seen an oven like that before. I told them not to work on it if they did not know how. They said they could put the new part on, but they didnt even know how to take the door off the lower oven. They ended up dropping it and shattering the layers of glass in the door all over my kitchen floor. I called Bosch and they said they would send the parts for a new door and have a tech from San Antonio come out to put the new door parts together. I was without an oven door for nine (9) weeks. Parts were sent separately in about six boxes. The tech from San Antonio came and got the boxes, and we took some in too. Finally, a teenage looking boy came with the so-called newly put together door. It rattled, had a sharp edge and a gap between the interior metal panel and the glass. I told him it was not right, but he insisted it was. We had to go out of town for three months, but I called the corporate secretary and told her about the poorly put together door and she said she would make sure we got a new door when we got back home in Dec. 2012. We have called repeatedly only to be told someone would be in touch with us very soon to make the necessary repairs. They now say they wont replace the door with a new one as they have been promising. They are terrible to work with and nothing is getting done. I will never buy another Bosch product and will tell anyone I meet not to buy their products.

Purchased new in 2004. Main range burner (right front) never did feel right, rough to turn and if you put it to the wrong spot (nice light simmer), it would go out, but the gas would still run. New Years Eve 2007, the oven burner quit at about 3:00 in the afternoon, part way thru cooking a massive prime rib roast. The electric starter came on and glowed, the gas valve opened but the oven burner wouldnt light. Phoned the dealer (Midland Appliances) and asked them for help, they told me that they could have someone out in about two weeks. Since I was in the middle of preparing a dinner for 10, I finished the roast on the BBQ. It didnt turn out that well, since its hard to cook outside at -20C. Took it all apart the next day and determined that the orifice was plugged/blocked so I cleaned it out with a needle file. About once or twice per year, ever since, same problem. Orifice fouled, and the gas doesnt flow. Eventually the electric starter failed, so I replaced it. Had to order from an outside vendor, as per manufacturer website. Part was delivered, oven back in operation, regular orifice cleanings (and failed meals) continued. In 2011, the main range burner finally failed. It was on and when I tried to turn it down, something broke internally on the shaft. Had to shut the gas off to the entire unit, because the valve wouldnt close. So we are without oven or range. No parts available in our city, again, so I had to order from the outside vendor and have shipped. Five days total without an oven or range top. Many meals outside of the home and many take out meals delivered. New valve installed and the same rough feeling as the original valve. I am probably going to have to replace it again in a few years.November 29, 2013 my wife calls me at work, oven not coming on again. Okay, have to pull the oven out again and clean the orifice, I guess?? Well not this time, now the valve for the baking half of the oven has failed. Electric starter comes on, voltage changes to the valve, but the valve doesnt open. Order the valve ($161) from the outside vendor, four days later it arrives, two hours to install and the oven is back in operation.December 21, 2013 (yesterday) and were having family for early Christmas dinner. About 1:00PM, I turned the oven on to start our turkey and the electric starter glows but the gas valve doesnt open. I hear the solenoid for the starter click and it glows and about a minute later I should hear the valve for the gas open but I dont. Turkey is back in fridge, called the local Chinese take out place for ($185) worth of food. I will pull it apart again on Wednesday (Christmas day) but I suspect that the (new) valve is defective. And on, and on, it goes.Other observations: Well the fit and finish on the visible parts of the oven are quite nice, the guts of it are a mess. Screws dont line up with hole, many are stripped or over tightened. The sheet metal is of the lightest gauge possible and often wires are installed and poorly secured. The adjustable legs dont secure very well and as a result every-time you move the unit, it has to be re-leveled. The unit appears to be made in Mexico, and the range valve was also Mexican made, so I guess its goodbye to German quality.Long and short, this range has been very problematic and I will NEVER buy another Bosch appliance, small or large. And since I am a vengeful sort, I will probably not buy/install Bosch vehicle (starters, alternators) parts either.

Have had the refrigerator two months and am happy with it. It's so quiet I almost don't notice when it's running even when I'm in the kitchen. The lighting is good on the interior, adequate in the freezer although the bottom drawer is a little dim. Love the layout of the upper space and flexibility with retractable shelves. Items are easy to see and accessible. The depth of door shelves are great with the exception of the two bottom shelves which are so narrow that they will only accommodate small items, (like hot sauce). As other reviewers have noted, the ice maker is painfully slow so plan ahead. I find the ice maker has a very high pitched hum that is annoying so I make ice then turn the ice maker off until needing ice again which works for us. Love the controls, very easy to use and read and the refrigerator responds quickly to a change in temperature. I'm really picky, did my research before buying, and am really happy with this refrigerator.

Do not buy Bosch if you expect a good experience with any customer service
Do not buy Bosch if you expect a good experience with any customer service needs. At the end of 2017 I renovated my kitchen and purchased all Bosch appliances. In May 2019 the magnetron of my microwave failed. Granted, it was now out of warranty, but why the magnetron should have failed so soon was unimaginable. The Sharp microwave I replaced had worked seamlessly for 30 years. The repair cost me almost $400 (the microwave was $1200). I contacted Bosch by email and by phone and was told there was nothing they could do in consideration of this premature (my word) need for such a repair. Perhaps it might have been different if I had reported this prior to authorizing the repair (I did use the preferred repair service on the Bosch website). How was I to know that?! I told the supervisor I spoke with, as well as the customer service rep that emailed me, that they could expect poor reviews posted on as many websites as I could find. No one seemed to care. Buy these appliances at your own peril.

I purchased a dishwasher from Sears about three years ago. It worked well for a few months, then began shutting off after a few minutes. It worked sometimes and sometimes not. I contacted Bosch who said they needed the original receipt. I always keep my receipts but of course.... So Sears printed me up a copy with all of the information on it. Of course Bosch would not accept this receipt as proof of purchase. I had spoken with someone from Bosch several times both by phone and email. They told me who to contact to repair. No one would return my calls or even want to travel to repair this expensive dish drainer. I even contacted people who repaired appliances and when I said Bosch - they didnt want to work on it. Of course last week I found the original receipt, and since I know they didnt care then, they wouldnt now - I am sure. I thought it was good to try to keep your customers happy, but I guess they dont mind bad product reviews. I will never purchase a Bosch again. You would think they would read these reviews and do what they could to change peoples minds. Good customer service goes a long way.

Purchased Bosch dishwasher (Dishwasher SHX68T55uc/01) from Lowe’s - came without plug to connect to power. Was told several times by Bosch customer service that the power cord was an option. The power cord has a special plug associated with it so it cannot be connected to power without the special cord. Also the rubber gasket on the side of the unit was pinched in the door and had taken an improper set which interfered with the door seal. Bosch said since this was a floor model that it was purchased as is. I also received a sound deadening device with the unit that Bosch denies belongs to them. I have had so many clothes ruined by this Bosch 500 Series washer and dryer
I have had so many clothes ruined by this Bosch 500 Series washer and dryer. I had purchased this set from Lowe’s as a second set for the upper level of my home so I would not have to walk down to the basement. I have an 8-year-old LG Tromm set down there. This set seemed to have lots of positive reviews, and I got a great deal on the display model, so I thought I got a good deal. White clothes come out grey and dingy even with bleach. All my family’s jeans have permanent crumple creases down the legs from where the dye faded. Bed sheets turn into long twisted ropes, which would work out well if I was trying to make an escape from my prison window. And everything smells moldy. The dryer does not have a heat setting and shuts off before the clothes are dry, leaving the moldy clothes even more time to get even moldier. The steam setting does not steam but rather drips moldy water onto clothes, leaving them with wet spots. Settings are weird: like you have a choice of damp dry, regular dry, extra dry, and my favorite, xxxtraxtra dry? And not one of the settings gets the clothes dry because you have to line dry the clothes to finish the drying once they are done. And the washer is the same; weird settings like comforters, jeans, and babycare, but not white, brights, or colors? Then if you really want to get aggravated, you can select an eco-smart function that uses less water, making the dinginess of the dirty water even more concentrated, and it takes 3 hours for it to cycle. One nice thing is that it is quiet while it runs, but when it’s all done with the load, it will beep loudly all night every 2 minutes, and you can’t shut it off until you get up and open the door, then the light stays on all night. So why this machine won energy saver awards is puzzling. Anyways, after buying every kind of laundry detergent made to man, testing out all the silly stupid settings, replacing filters, hoses, and gaskets, and stacking and unstacking the machines, I have given up and am listing this machine on craigslist for free for whoever wants to ruin their clothes. Oh, my old LG cleans circles around this hunkajunk, plus it is used at least 5 times a day to clean towels from a hair salon. I had to replace a pump that went out on it; LG just charged me shipping and sent me the part free even though it’s out of warranty for 6 yrs. So, my advice to someone who wants to buy this machine? Don’t waste your money when you can come get mine for free!

We bought a washer dryer for £599 just a little over 2 years ago. It broke down in the 1st year, and it has been repaired by a Bosch engineer, as it was still under the manufacturer warranty. 1 month after the 2 years warranty has expired, it broke down again. Each time the problem was a broken drum. I called Bosch customer service complaining about the fact that an appliance I paid that amount of money for, has only lasted for 2 years. I was told that since the washing machine is out of the warranty, theres nothing they can do. I would have to pick up the fee for repairs. Id rather buy a new washing machine, instead of paying for the repair of one which obviously is very low quality. That is not something I was expecting from a brand like Bosch, but certainly they dont care about their reputation. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM BOSCH BRAND AGAIN as their products are really bad and their customer service is even worse. I do not recommend Bosch. Many phone calls to the UK followed. Finally UK said get onto Currys. I went into Currys and explained my situation: dishwasher doesnt wash properly and I cant used dishwasher tablets have to use powder. They were very helpful in the beginning but finally told me that Bosch UK said that their Engineer said it was fine. I have never dealt with such terrible Customer Services as in Bosch UK. The drum that houses the dishwasher and holds the water in was pierced in manufacture. It took us one month and many phone calls to get a Bosch technician out to tell us it was not repairable and authorize replacement. It then took Bosch 8 weeks to find a new replacement dishwasher and someone to install it. We live in Philadelphia, you could trip over plumbers in our neighborhood. Now it is less than a year since we have the brand new replacement and it no longer works. Waited 2 weeks to get a technician out to tell us that the pump, mother board and one other part have gone bad. Problem is they are not in stock so now we are one month into no working dishwasher (again) and still waiting for repair. Each call to Bosch is at least a 20 minute wait on hold (apparently they have a slew of problems to deal with) and it takes at least 3 phone calls to get anyone out to your house. Just dont do it. Save yourself the hassle.

I have always thought Bosch as being a company that makes high quality products and I have purchased and used many without issue. However I feel that they have either lowered their quality to make more money or are trying to reach a different type of consumer either way it equals some disappointing details on many of their products. I do find that the stove is very nice and solid and seems to work well so far. Just need to see their products in person. Sometimes when you think its metal its actually plastic.

This is one of the items that exemplifies the saying, you get what you pay for. I could never bring myself to pay more than $400 to $450 for a dishwasher. When we remodeled our kitchen, we decided to research and upgrade to higher end appliances. The Bosch was highly rated. Its so quiet, we have to make a serious effort to hear if its running when we are standing right next to it. Looks great and appears very well made.

My new Bosch dishwasher is simply the best I’ve ever had. The fact that it looks nice in my kitchen makes it nice, but the way the loading space is utilized makes it the best. I no longer have to worry about glasses or cups knocking together due to the deep ridges in that area. The size of the appliance is carefully organized to hold a large load easily. I like it’s quiet statement!

The clothes are coming out dirty and my clothes are getting damaged. I have called the customer service several times, but they have been of no help. Also, I dont like the front load washer because you have to keep the door open. Otherwise, mold starts growing and it starts smelling.

My father purchased a Bosch tankless water heater about 18 months ago. He had a professional plumber install the tank to the specifications that the factory mandates. The unit never did work properly. After hours on the phone with tech support listening to every reason in the book why it wasn't "their" fault , and hundreds if not thousands of dollars spent on a plumber they still will not honor their warranty and replace the unit. The problem with the unit is that whenever you turn on the cold water to make the water warm instead of scalding, the heater shuts off completely leaving you with ice cold water. The factory techs tell us that there is not enough water coming into the unit. Ok easy fix right "just tell us how much water is required". O wait the "tech" isn't allowed to suggest anything like that. My father is so frustrated he wants to take the unit outside and shoot it with a rifle. If there is a class action we want in!!!!!! Our experience with Bosch appliances has been mixed but disappointing. First, the first cooktop delivered during a remodel would not function as soon as installed. This resulted in a multi-week delay in the remodel. Next, the microwave failed within a year of installation and then again within another year. We have paid more than $300 in repairs so far. Finally, with regard to business, we were promised a substantial rebate if we installed 3 or more appliances. We installed 4 but have not yet received the rebate. We have been pestering the dealer repeatedly for about 2 years now with no satisfaction. I will never again purchase a Bosch product.

In 2012 we purchased a Bosch dishwasher based on Consumer Reports Magazine. We bought the top of the line spending a lot of money for what we thought to be a good unit. Since installation we have had it fixed 3 times the first being for a power cord that failed but was a recall that Bosch covered. That part again failed 2 years later and had to be repaired again for the same failure as the first but at my cost. The latest was for a power control circuit board. The dishwasher would start appear to be running but after only 2 cycles would stop and indicate the dishes were clean. However no water ever entered. A search on the internet revealed that other models had the same problem and was involved in a recall. A workaround was to open and close the door after the 2nd cycle and the unit would then fill. I tried the workaround and it worked, indicating the same problem and was later confirmed by a repairman. I contacted Bosch, provided all requested documentation and was eventually told that our unit was not included in that recall and the best they could do was 20% of the replacement board cost which equated to $24.00, but wed have to pay for shipping and taxes which was $17.00. I thought we had bought a well built appliance from a reputable manufacturer but have been proven wrong. Their customer service is terrible and does nothing to HELP you. In the 7 years weve owned it half of the original purchase price has been in repairs. I would not recommend any Bosch appliance to anyone again nor would I buy one.

I bought a Bosch stainless steel dishwasher in December 2012. Today, 12/2017 my dishwasher has rusted down the front. Bosch says it has not rusted through (water coming out) so it will not be repaired unless I want to pay the cost of a new front. I will never buy another Bosch product - my dishwasher that was replaced by this one was over 20 years old and had not rusted. I wish I had it back!

I purchased an Bosch 800 series dishwasher late 2018. This is my second Bosch dishwasher, I loved my first one. It was super quiet and cleaned beautifully. I cant say the same for this one. Last week it stopped working giving me an error message. I tried to troubleshoot myself. It makes a loud grinding noise, sounds like the drain pump. I called the 800 number, the call center tried troubleshoot to no avail. Scheduled service, the dishwasher is still under warranty.I requested the the latest appt in the day, to accommodate my work schedule and long story short the service department is very unaccommodating for customers that cant sit at home all day waiting to a tech. I was told they would send a list of other service vendors to who do Bosch warranty work in my community (Orlando, FL). After 2 requests for the list, still not received. My dishwasher is still not functional almost a week later. Extremely disappointed in the product and the lack of service for what is supposed to be a superior product.

When you open the door it smells up the whole kitchen. My husband has called about this & been given instructions which have not stopped the smell. Now the dishwashing liquid dispenser does not open during cleaning. He has also called about this. They said to just put it in bottom! I purchased a Bosch dishwasher in January of 2014. Three months later my stainless steel silverware began to rust and glasses became cloudy. I read the manual and made some adjustment to the Jet Dry dispenser, but it made no difference. Lowes sent out two different repairmen and they could find nothing wrong. I showed them the silverware and glasses and they called Bosch. Bosch made recommendations that did not work.I contacted Bosch and they told me in order to return the dishwasher I needed the original receipt. I couldnt find it and Lowes eventually found it in their records and sent it on to Bosch. It took about 6 months working with Bosch to get to this point. It also involved several store managers. Once all the paperwork had been turned in I heard nothing from Bosch. Several weeks passed and I finally called. They told me the dishwasher would not be replaced. Instead, Lowes replaced the dishwasher. Thank you Lowes!I found the company EXTREMELY difficult to work with. I think they knew from the beginning they were not going to replace the dishwasher, but they had Lowes and me jump all kinds of hoops anyhow. I do not recommend purchasing a Bosch dishwasher. The only thing I could figure out was that something had been left inside the dishwasher causing the problem. Bosch denied this and said it couldnt happen. I replaced the Bosch with a KitchenAid. It works great and is made in America.

We purchased in 2013 a top-of-the-line Bosch dishwasher and it is worked well until about two weeks ago, when it just died. My complaint is not the unit but with the complete lack of service that Bosch offers. The unit broke and we called for service and were told at the earliest date they can give us was some 13 days in the future. However that was not to fix the unit only to diagnose the problem. Fixing the unit would take ordering the part and then coming back to reinstall it. We circumvented this problem by calling Sears who diagnosed the problem over the phone ordered the part and was able to schedule us two days before the Bosch service team with would be coming out.As I was outraged at how long this is going to take I called Bosch to complain and they basically told me that they simply do not have enough service people in the area to take care of the products that they sell. I told customer service that this was completely unacceptable and that I would write this review. Avoid Bosch products at all costs. There are others that offer much better service.Updated on 2/14/2015:13 months into owning the unit the control panel went out. We called Bosch to fix it, they told us three weeks hence a repairman would arrive to repair the unit. Instead of waiting we called Sears with whom we have an extended warranty program to cover the unit and they came out 2 1/2 weeks after we called. During the call to analyze the problem and told us they were sending us a new control unit. The day before the visit we realized that no unit had arrived at our house so we called Sears. They told us that the request for the item was denied and they would come out and analyze the problem and order the correct parts. The repair man told us that this is ridiculous, the part shouldve been ordered and waiting for him to install it. He then analyzed the problem, decided that that was exactly the correct part and ordered it and he would be there to put it in a couple of days after it arrived. Upon returning to install the part, Bosch had only sent the cover with none of the control unit inside. The second order was placed this time for the control unit, whose arrival we are still waiting for, now 3 months since the unit broke. The moral of the story is do not buy a Bosch dishwasher unless you can afford two of them, one to keep on reserve while the first one is being fixed.

We replaced our 20 yr old Maytag with a Bosch... it arrived the first week of Jan. 2015. I never liked how my dishes fit in it.... glasses tipped over and it was hard to fit in mugs and bowls. I noticed that there was an orange greasy residue near the door hinge after each cycle. I made it a practice to clean that area every time I emptied the machine. We used the Finish Powerballs and rinse agent. Our water heater is new and the water is very hot. Then I noticed a smell when drinking from a glass. This morning there was an odor from the machine when I went to empty it... nothing in the filter... Smelled like a wet dog. Returning machine.

I purchased 3 Bosch appliances less than six years ago - 2 ovens and a 5-burner cooktop. When deciding on the purchase, my appliance dealer assured me that Bosch produces high end appliances. We went ahead with the purchase and paid high end prices too. Now, less than six years after we bought them, all 3 appliances are malfunctioning. Its so strange - almost like they have a pre-ordained life span from the manufacturer, because they all broke within the same 4 - 6 weeks. We have been trying to get them repaired through Bosch service for over a month and they are dragging their feet and giving us a horrible runaround. What a shame! I dont think I shall ever purchase another Bosch appliance nor recommend them to any of my friends or relatives. The customer service reps are lying to us, changing their minds, changing their strategies, not calling back, making offers then going back on their word... Its all horrible. The dishes simply do not get clean. Even simple things like coffee cups come out still stained. I end up pre-treating the dishes or handwashing especially stained items. Waste of money. I purchased the Bosch model that was around $500 because of their reputation. They sell machines in the $5000 range. These perhaps could be worth the money. This lower priced model was made to appeal to the average consumer and is very disappointing. It is a quiet machine but that wasnt necessarily important to me. I was especially impressed with the 3rd tray at the top for laying silverware horizontally. This allowed the basket on the bottom tier to be removed and seemed to provide more space. Instead, you find that the silverware simply doesnt get cleaned on the top tray. Furthermore, removal of the basket does not truly allow for that much more room. None of my saucepan lids can fit in the bottom tier unless they are loosely placed on the rim of the basket. Standard size, stainless steel and non-descript, but there are other brands just as elegant that actually clean the dishes. This dishwasher was sold with free packets of Finish. The packets never truly dissolve and you are wondering if you just washed your dishes with hot water. When speaking to a maintenance expert he explained the water doesnt get hot enough to melt the plastic and that is where you realize your energy savings. So why does Bosch promote the Finish packets? Are they that clueless about their own product?

I bought this elsewhere about three years ago, and have to say at first I really didn't know what to make of it. It's definitely different from a conventional dryer. The drying cycle takes a little longer, and your clothes aren't bone dry when they come out. They aren't damp either. It's like they're on the edge of dry and they dry when you take them out of the machine. After getting used to it, I couldn't live without this dryer - love it. It's perfect for my situation, I happened to have a washer hookup and dryer outlet in my condo, but no vent. This is perfect. The little bit of water that comes out of your clothes will be pumped out of the machine and go down the drainage hose, or if you don't have that option I believe you can sponge it out. Give it a try, it's a great machine.

The first time we had Bosch out for a recall issue with the door. They repaired it and re installed the dishwasher crooked and out of level. I called and was told they can schedule it for a few days later. I DID not want to take another day off work so I dealt with it myself. It was a pain! I called them a week ago re draining issues and had to wait a week for them to come out. I received an e mail from them telling me they would call the day before or the morning of the service call to narrow the time slot down a bit. This made me happy. No call yesterday or early this morning. I called them and they said they would check into it and call back. They called back and told me the service guy hurt himself and was not coming. They said not to worry, they can have someone out in a few days. This would be a second day I would have to take off work, I could have purchased another new dishwasher for the 2 days I need to take off. Do not buy Bosch appliances, terrible appliances and worse service.UPDATED ON 11/02/2015: On Oct 6th I sent in a review about how bad Bosch dishwashers are and the service was even worse. Since then they sent a service tech from an outside organization out and the service person said the line was clogged, not a dishwasher problem. I asked why the dishwasher just stopped mid cycle and would not go any further including pumping water out. He said to get rid of the air gap loop the hose up and connect it directly to the disposal and all will be fine. I did as he said and not only is it against the national code, but all is not fine. Big Mistake!!! Read the reviews, all have the same issue. Total failure between 2-3 years. Inverter board/magnetron. Repair cost $600!! So many reviews with the same issue, Bosch should have recalled this item. Instead just discontinued it. No help from customer service, although they did have me go through the trouble of sending them a bunch of stuff. In the end they offered me $25 towards a new inverter board. She assured me that there would be no charge for the diagnosis. The repairman came and found that the electrical connection to the unit had shorted.
