It cleans OK but lacks a good drying feature. I had a lower model previously and it worked much better than this higher end one. Silverware is still dirty at times, pans and glasses still wet. I love the light at the bottom showing its on because it is so quiet. It has a 3rd shelf, a variety of ways to arrange dishes by either leaving the tines up or down. It seems to be smaller than the older models. Very sleek, hidden controls. The light at the bottom showing it is on almost bleeds across the floor. The lower end model I had before didnt do this, just a red dot. Ive had this one exchanged and it still bleeds all over the floor. Just not up to snuff, like the older, less expensive model was.

SuperSilence 42 dBA (Model SHX7ER55UC/50) - We have had this dishwasher about 2-1/2 years, so it is beyond warranty for this problem. The dishwasher has performed well despite a recall to replace the power cord. Now, however, the plastic caps at the ends of the door handle are cracking and breaking off. Their authorized dealer/rep wants a $90 service charge to replace in $20 parts. They knew exactly what we were talking about, so I suspect this is a well known Bosch problem. Bosch customer service is stonewalling us. Its a small thing compared to most of the other complaints on this website, but Bosch should understand that it is enough to make us go elsewhere for our next dishwasher.

Bosch 500 series 44-decibel - I purchased the Bosch model SHP65T52UC in January 2015. I love the 3rd drawer for silverware, and that it has a 30 minute wash cycle if I want to use it. What I dont like is that I find it hard to place my dishes and have to be careful with tall glasses or they will hit against the 3rd shelf. Also, I noticed that it harbors moisture because there is no drying element inside and after a day there is a bad order like rotting garbage so I have to wipe down the sides and back or leave the door open so it dries. At the time, Bosch offered free installation so I got a refund in the form of a prepaid Visa card. It worries me about all the negative reviews, but so far so good. I purchased through Lowes which has great customer service and installation people.

I recently purchased a home that came with a 2015 Bosch dishwasher. I had Miele dishwashers for the past 20 years and a always extremely satisfied. Always cleaned well and never had any bad odor. I assumed Bosch would be similar quality. I was sadly MISTAKEN! From day 1 I noticed it did not clean nearly as well. First we started making sure all dishware was put in perfectly aligned. Never overlapping, then we began rinsing the dishes more than we ever had in the past, then we tried changing detergent, then we put the machine to the heavy and sanitize settings, still every time we unload... I have to scrub, rinse or polish the dishes, glassware or cutlery. What a pain. My sister in law complained a few years ago that she found her Bosch appliances awful, I figured she wasn’t “treating“ them properly. Now I understands what she means. In the end it is not a good product and can never be compared to Miele.

Absolutely love this stove. I use the convection more than anything because it seems to cook more quickly and food tastes better on this function. The stove top definitely heats up even on low knobs so be careful! Always start stovetop on lower settings especially if you have expensive pots and pans! When you are cooking in oven, be sure to press Kitchen Timer and not Oven Timer or the oven will automatically turn off after your done cooking which is nice but I always use Kitchen Timer button so that I don’t have to keep reheating the oven if I am cooking more than one dish or if I need to continue to time items on stove top. The depth for dishes is larger than my last stove but not as wide no complaints but just depends on what size pans your using. I love it!

We upgraded our kitchen 5 years ago and went with Bosch because they were supposedly high quality appliances. We bought a Bosch built in oven/microwave appliance and did a custom rock wall around it. The appliance failed with 1 1/2 years. Bosch was not easy to deal with. We could not get a Bosch repair person because they refused to travel into the county side. Bosch did replace it with a slightly different size unit, so we had to adjust our wall. Now 3 years later this unit has failed. I have been put on hold for over 2 hours with no one answering the phone. I have emailed and received no response. We have wasted our money and time dealing with this company.

Nine months ago, we renovated our kitchen which included purchase of a Bosch dishwasher, SHX4AT75UC/14. I read about this dishwasher on the Consumer Report website. I couldnt disagree any more with CR. This dishwasher does a terrible job in cleaning dishes. There is almost always food residue on cups and silverware. I use a brand name soap and regularly fill the rinse agent reservoir. Bosch advertises this machine as a quiet. Its no more quiet than any dishwasher Ive ever had. Steer clear of Bosch - I will never purchase anything from this company again.

Reading thru the posts is nightmarish as we are in remodeling the kitchen. One thing positive I can say if it can help is that weve had a Bosch dishwasher for over 8 years and its held its ground. Were a family of 5 and two are top athletes (i.e: eat a lot etc...) and one issue I cant remember exactly what it was about but must have been minor. Tray design would need fine tuning as they are a bit awkward to fill but, yup its been loaded tightly and then we dont expect miracles. Works silently so we start it up before going to bed - model SHU53E. Maybe newer generation of appliances is skittish and should be help on to till totally done...

We purchased a Bosch dishwasher 2 years ago. We have had nothing but trouble with it. It had an interior odor from the very beginning and the smell continues to get worse, unbearable actually. We clean it regularly, wash the filters, use store bought cleaners, have tried vinegar, everything imaginable that I could find on the net. A couple weeks ago I decided to call Bosch. They sent a a service tech to the house who was there a total of 5 minutes. He looked in the dishwasher, checked the filter and the wash wand. He confirmed that the machine has an odor, confirmed that it is installed correctly and that the machine was in fact clean and well maintained. I followed up with Customer Service and was told the problem had been escalated. I was told they would respond within a 24-48 hour window. They didnt. I followed up once again and was told they would do nothing about the situation. When they said a service tech would come by, I assumed that meant they would be able to help. Sadly, it was all a waste of time. There has been nothing done to eliminate the odor and no explanation as to why the odor exists. We are currently renovating and will be replacing the dishwasher. We will NEVER EVER purchase a Bosch appliance again. This was an expensive mistake.

We purchased 3 Bosch appliances when we built our house 6 years ago. The dishwasher and microwave are up to par. All appliances are working. However, our 30 BOSCH gas range is experiencing rust spots on the lower drawer and around the main door. The enamel has come off part of the top of the range. I know from past experience with another dishwasher in my previous custom home, which Sears stood behind, that had rust spots on the door panel. The repairman actually said its a knock off from China and this is not stainless steel. I will say that my opinion is this is the same problem with the Bosch oven. Most people know that magnets do not stick to stainless steel. Well, start testing! Magnet sticks to my stainless steel dishwasher, microwave, range door and range lower drawer which means the appliances are NOT stainless steel. The magnet does not stick to my LG refrigerator which is 10 years old so it is true stainless steel. Since BOSCH and the store I purchase it from advertised these products are stainless steel, I paid for stainless steel. Customer service is not up to par. The customer service rep and a supervisor talked about my business to my cleaning lady as she called them to defend her use of cleaning products as BOSCH tech said my cleaning products must contain bleach. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB, Attorney General as I feel this is false advertisement. and to BOSCH, I am glad you recorded the conversation with my cleaning lady as you had no right to speak with her about my business and to make her an offer on my range of 20% off. Total violation of my business. Diane ** in NH

I bought a Bosch washer & dryer set several years ago. I was frustrated because if I didnt want the pressed wood (cardboard) exterior so I had to pay more for the plastic model. I had the dryer for about a year and I notice what I thought was the dryer not drying the clothes and turning itself off. But when I turned the dial the light would come on. What is happening is the dial connection is loose or bad. If I push down on the dial the dryer sometimes works. I have resorted to putting a full bottle of detergent balanced on the dial so it will hopefully stay on long enough to dry anything. It rarely does. Drying clothes in my Bosch Nexxt Premium Dryer is a nightmare and can take HOURS for even one small load. (It all depends how often I am willing to run back downstairs to restart/reset the dial.) What a disappointment. Dryers are such simple things how can they mess it up? But they did. This has been going on for years! Not sure which is stupider. Me buying the Bosch in the first place or me putting up with it this long. My experience with Bosch is they are overpriced and poorly made. Who designs anything made out of pressed wood sandings or plastic for a laundry area? They do know there is water in a laundry room? It should have been a sign.

My Bosch oven developed a crack in the glass door. Contacted customer services to explain the problem. They arranged for an engineer to call 4 days later between 8 & 5 pm. The engineer did not turn up till after 4.30 pm. He then confirmed a fault but said he could not fix it as he had no part. Checked on his laptop to discover the wrong part had been ordered anyway & was not booked out to any engineer. Proceeded to contact Bosch & was told a repair could not be arranged for another week. This meant I had no oven for two weeks. Really not on. In our sixties & I also provide meals for my elderly neighbour who suffers from Alzheimers. The worst dishwasher ever made. My father went through Consumer Reports for the best model of dishwasher to get — the Bosch one was in the top 5. This dishwasher was made for international living not for the American ways of life - busy schedules and raising a family. This dishwasher as with all Bosch dishwashers have a smell that rivals rotting meat. You can’t get rid of the odor it comes back time and time again. It also is extremely difficult to navigate. I was purchased washing machine Bosch 8 kg- fully automatic- front load (WAT24463IN) from Amazon in 14 April 19 and installed in 27 April 19. First, I start from installation, at the time of installation water inlet pipe connector to tap worth Rs. 350 charged by Bosch service eng. and water tap also changed. Machine installation delayed due to shortage of length of wire plug to attach electric board from machine, purchase 350 Rs extension box due to shortage of length in plug wire. During first usage outlet water washed away in whole room, due to shortage of water outlet pipe, again purchased 250 Rs additional pipe. After usage within 04 month on dated 17 Jul 19 the power control board of machine got worse (fuse) & machine stop working. Within 04-month machine got damaged & covered the same in warranty usage, means there is no guarantee of product after warranty period of 2 years. After asking to service eng. of Bosch he is telling you want to purchase stabilizer for same, again purchased stabilizer of Rs 4000 from Bosch service eng. The compatibility of product not good, after purchase again you want to pay extra more than 5000+ for other unnecessary things. After call to Amazon customer care for extended warranty they were telling within 90 days you want purchase extended warranty for product from booking date. It means they knows the product quality to aware for providing 90 days for extended warranty period, 2 years warranty for cover & after that usage of customer for profit. This is the asset for customer by investing 30 to 40 thousand, they played after 2 years by taking much more charges for part replacement & breakdowns, this is worst strategy of Bosch to deal with customers.

Bosch delays all service calls for multiple weeks before coming and when the product broke 2 days after being fixed (supposedly), We had to wait again. They conveniently wont replace and then want no responsibility. This is the only review I have ever written and sadly I am unable to use my oven at all. This is very difficult as I have a family. 3,000 dollars is a lot of money to have a decorative storage unit. Please go with another company that will respect the consumer. I honestly dont know how this company is in business as we were dealing with the senior customer service representative, Courtney **, who completely disregarded the fact that this product was dysfunctional since day one. This company needs to reevaluate customer service and acknowledge that sometimes a product is faulty and you as a business need to stand behind your product.

We purchased our 800 Series from Lowes. I wish I had returned it. The wheels on the lower rack were poorly designed (product manager should be fired). If there are any dishes in the lower rack, you cannot pull the rack out. Its frustrating to struggle with this everyday, and with the price we paid, I really expected a better dishwasher. I have called customer service three times. They have been no help - instead, they wanted to send out a service person. (Can you fix bad design?) The last agent said, Oh, we have a fix for that now - has anyone offered to send you the fat wheels. The wheels were not wider, and they were not a fix. The rack constantly gets rolls off track and gets stuck inside the dishwasher. So - if youre going to purchase any Bosch at all - you might want to try putting a few plates into the bottom rack and see if it pulls out. This one bad design feature overshadows the third rack for silverware and any other nifty features. If you cannot get the most important design right, the rest do not matter. Oh, and you must thoroughly prewash your dishes as this 800 Series cannot do the job on its own.

Purchased a new Bosch French door refrigerator. Two weeks later the ice maker stopped working. Called for service. Noticed the vegetable and deli drawers had frozen everything solid. Noticed all the food in the rear of the device was partly frozen. Rep came out and announced the ice maker was defective, needed to be replaced. Ordered new one. He also explained that the ice maker regulates the temp for the refrigerator. Replaced the ice maker. The ice maker constantly drips all over the refrigerator. The water and ice dispensers do not work well. Ice either comes out at a breakneck speed or not at all. Water sprays out all over the place. Very poor engineering.I still have occasional freezing in the veg drawers. Spoke to the Bosh consumer agent, she was arrogant, rude and generally unhelpful. Suggested to me I not put vegetables in the veg drawers, as they tend to freeze! I asked her if she was planning to send another device out for purpose of cooling the verges. She became even nastier. My opinion, run in another direction if you see Bosch while shopping for appliances. Also, my daughter apparently bought a Bosch side by side and hates it. Rues the day. I remodeled my kitchen in July of 2011. I got a gas stovetop and the vent is the Bosch 10282541 downdraft system. This is approx. $1,200 and has never worked for more than a month at a time. Currently, its not working, and Bosch will not repair it. I contacted Bosch in October of 2011 and they gave me a name of a company to work with. They came out, assessed the problem and after 6 weeks of no contact, no update, no fix, I had to contact Bosch and get another name of a company to fix the problem. Again, after weeks of delay, they came out and fixed it.And after 2 months, the vent broke again. They were in the process of fixing this, and again, it was delayed due to a back problem with the repairman. They did a partial fix, but then needed more repairs - and Bosch said the time was out for the year of in-warranty repair. During the first year this was installed, it was not working more than it was working. On Thanksgiving and every major holiday, I was without a fan. I contacted Bosch several times, and they promised to have a supervisor call me back, but that never happened. I have resolved to not buy Bosch appliances ever again as my fix.

I purchased a dishwasher from Sears about three years ago. It worked well for a few months, then began shutting off after a few minutes. It worked sometimes and sometimes not. I contacted Bosch who said they needed the original receipt. I always keep my receipts but of course.... So Sears printed me up a copy with all of the information on it. Of course Bosch would not accept this receipt as proof of purchase. I had spoken with someone from Bosch several times both by phone and email. They told me who to contact to repair. No one would return my calls or even want to travel to repair this expensive dish drainer. I even contacted people who repaired appliances and when I said Bosch - they didnt want to work on it. Of course last week I found the original receipt, and since I know they didnt care then, they wouldnt now - I am sure. I thought it was good to try to keep your customers happy, but I guess they dont mind bad product reviews. I will never purchase a Bosch again. You would think they would read these reviews and do what they could to change peoples minds. Good customer service goes a long way.

I was also dismayed by the extremely small amount of dishes that could be loaded due to the small spaces between the tines and the direction of them. I could not get anywhere near the same load in as my great whirlpool prior to this. I usually do one load a week or less. Bosch washing machine. Plenty of washing programmes. Good value for money. Quick wash is excellent. I have had the machine over ten years and would buy the same make again. Energy efficiency, brand reputation and price. Dryer would be a different purchase. I would look around and see the best one on the market so do not dry as well as others. A product that does not start to rust within the first twelve months, and no paint chipping and find out cost of spares. Some makes are expensive to repair. Very pleased with Bosch washing machine. I always get a clean wash. The one thing that does annoy me is the powder tray. This gets so black and over the years I have found weak bleach solution will clean the tray (when removed), but even this fails to stop the holes above the dispenser, becoming blocked with the black slime (caused by washing powder and plastic). I have had the unit replaced twice. I would like all manufacturers to try and resolve this problem. Rather expensive over ten years, but so far no other problems.

Advice for anyone looking for appliances: DO NOT BUY FROM BOSCH.. We got a microwave from them because it was supposed to be the best of the best. About 16 months after purchasing, the microwave needed fixing so we did it the way Bosch said we had to do it for the parts to be covered. This happened 3 times in a matter of 3 years. The third time, it was deemed unrepairable. After a month of going back and forth with them, not having a microwave, the best offer they could give me was that I had to pay $300 for a replacement microwave. Mind you, it was a $1200 microwave to begin with. So with the original cost upfront, the service costs and what they now want me to pay for a replacement microwave, I’m looking at roughly $2100 dollars on this microwave. And they claim this to be a “more than fair” offer. The customer service will throw you around from one guarded person to the next. They’ll forward you to their “manager” and when you ask for their name and title after finishing a conversation with them, you’ll find out that it’s not the manager and they’ll REFUSE to give you their last name or an email or anything to contact them. Then, when you’ve had enough and you name all the people you’ve spoken with and that you want to speak to the actual manager, they put you on a lengthy hold that conveniently dies on several occasions. https://www.facebook.com/BoschAppliances/

It is so quiet! Very roomy & configured to get a lot of dishes in at one time. We have the stainless steel. The look of the dishwasher is very sleek, no buttons at all on the outside. Inside the dishwasher is roomy and configured to load glasses, plates and pots and pans after a family dinner with no problems. We use cascade and a dishwasher liquid for glass spots. Our plates, glasses, everything comes out gleaming! The best feature? The dishwasher is so Quiet! Seriously! There is a small red light that shines on your floor while your dishwasher is in use. That is how I know it is on. Love It!

The platforms that the feet of the cast iron grates sit on are ridiculously small and unstable. Causing the grate to slide off the platform and toward the center of the cooktop and then any pot on top of the cooktop to also be unstable. Worst cooktop design I have ever seen. This is a simple and very basic function. I cannot believe this would be an issue. Very unsafe and unsettling. Wish I could upload a photo!

When I asked about sending the cord overnight, no one had any answers and told me to call back in two days.

I purchased the Bosch Axxis stackable washer and dryer in late 2008 to fit in my kitchen closet. June 2014, started to have problems with it making noises while spinning and then it got louder and finally stopped spinning. I contacted Bosch Customer Service who referred me to service repair but did not offer me a good explanation or offer to refund anything for the unit to be broken after approximately 6 years of use and I am the only person using it.The stackable unit cost me over $2,000 and now the washer needs to be replaced because the repair costs are over $900.00. This is disgraceful! Now, I have to figure out how to find a new 24-inch washer that will fit my Bosch dryer on top because I will never buy another Bosch anything! It is a piece of garbage.

We bought a washer dryer for £599 just a little over 2 years ago. It broke down in the 1st year, and it has been repaired by a Bosch engineer, as it was still under the manufacturer warranty. 1 month after the 2 years warranty has expired, it broke down again. Each time the problem was a broken drum. I called Bosch customer service complaining about the fact that an appliance I paid that amount of money for, has only lasted for 2 years. I was told that since the washing machine is out of the warranty, theres nothing they can do. I would have to pick up the fee for repairs. Id rather buy a new washing machine, instead of paying for the repair of one which obviously is very low quality. That is not something I was expecting from a brand like Bosch, but certainly they dont care about their reputation. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM BOSCH BRAND AGAIN as their products are really bad and their customer service is even worse. I do not recommend Bosch. Stay well away from the Bosch brand, as their products are not worth the money you have to pay for it.

I used to be a happy Bosch customer. I had a Bosch dishwasher for 10 years and liked it so much that I even recommended Bosch to my friends. Last year I bought a 500 DLX model. From the beginning I could see that the new machine did not clean my dishes as well as the old one. I have done everything the manual suggests and I am still dissatisfied with the performance. When I called Customer Service today the woman was not at all helpful, especially when she saw that I am two months past my 1-year warranty. I strongly object to the warranty starting when I purchased it. It was installed on Jan. 22, 2015, so it has been in use less than a year. It looks like I am stuck with an inferior appliance and I will not recommend this brand to anyone ever again.

Purchased the Bosch Dishwasher SilencePlus 44 dBA model during a full kitchen remodel. After using the dishwasher for 30-days, it was returned in exchange for a Kitchen Aid model. Chief complaint (for us) is the dishwasher remains wet inside after washing dishes and never dries out. Dishes remain damp and not fully dry. Tired of leaving the door open overnight to let the dishwasher dry. During the time we had it, because of the inside not drying, a musty odor is becoming noticeable. With this wet condition and closed, we are concern about it developing mold. Absolutely would not recommend this model or manufacturer. In speaking to the appliance representative where the dishwasher was purchased, the rep indicated that this remaining wet issue about Bosch dishwashers is very common and others have voiced the same complaint.

Dishwasher is three years old. The door does not latch. If is held shut by a magnet. If the machine vibrates at all, the door opens and the machine stops. You have to go in and push the door shut, again. Sometimes, it goes through the entire cycle down to 1 minute, and then runs forever, constantly reheating the water. I cannot leave the house when the machine is on. I have had the serviceman out 4 times, and he refuses to come out any more. Boschs solution to my problem? Use less soap. Never again. The tumble dryer was not working properly, not drying the container button kept flashing even though the container was not even a quarter full, and then the handle broke. We call Bosch with the same problem (under warranty) months ago and the engineer said that he could find a fault - he admitted that the handle (top) was broken but did nothing about both problems. Today, we had an engineer coming and all he wanted first was his call charge. He refused to look at it and did not have a spare handle to change despite our phone call to make sure we wont waste time on this. We refused to pay because when weve spoken to Bosch we said that this was an existing problem, and of course now our warranty had run out. Weve spoken to a Supervisor and said they could not do anything and could not find our previous call and existing problem. Very angry with them. All our appliances are from Bosch. WE WILL NOT BE BUYING FROM BOSCH ANYMORE AND WILL PASS ON THE BAD EXPERIENCE WE HAD TO EVERYBODY. Do not buy from Bosch, they will try to rip you off like us once a problem arises. They wait until the warranty runs out to make you pay whatever they can.

A repair technician checked it on 11/2/18 and told us the dishwasher had a factory defect and was not repairable. He contacted Bosch and told me they were going to exchange the dishwasher and I should check back with them in 3-4 days. Now they tell me I will have to wait another 7-14 days to find out what model the exchange is approved for and when that may take place. Customer service reps are rude and do not provide their name. I had a Bosch Dishwasher go out on us while still under warranty. This happened in March, it is now mid September. In order to have warranty work done, you have to go through one of Boschs certified repair facilities. A gomer from the worst appliance service firm in town came out 3 times at over $75.00 a crack. They ordered parts, which Bosch was out of. Our problem was so rare according to the wonderfully inept anti-customer service rep that I spoke to, that actually drew out a long sigh on the phone like I was interrupting a wonderful game of spider solitaire. Fast forward, 3 more service calls and we still have a wonderfully designed German paperweight. Gomer Senior from the Authorized Service Company let us slide on the last service call because he flooded my basement. Yes, a dishwasher repairman forgot about the water that could be in a dishwasher. I called Bosch and said no more, enough, just stop. I sent them 8 pages of documentation with the time line of our torture and heard nothing from them. Fast forward, several e-mails and placed calls to Pam, the Manager. I am starting to think that Pam is paid a piece rate by LG or Whirlpool to see how many customers she can send away from Bosch. Pam never returned my e-mails, or phone calls. Mind you, in her defense the one area she has trained her wonderful, rude, and inept staff in is to avoid forwarding anything to her. Then, just the guy making $8.00 per hour can get blamed. I was just told today that 3 weeks ago, she denied that Bosch was responsible for anything. Is this for real? are you sure you want to take that road Pam?

The Bosch model SHV99A03/UC 14 is fabulous! It is quiet, a major advantage. Only a door spring pulley has broken in 12 years. The racks are large and easy to load. They fit all sizes of dishes and utensils. This will hold a very full load of dishes. We have the option for wood paneling that matches the oak cabinets. The door springs are strong, but the plastic pulleys are what broke. Bosch has redesigned them, so get the newer ones. They are a real challenge to replace, but there was some good video on YouTube showing how. Study first before you begin!

While I purchased my Bosch electric range in September of 2014 and am out of warranty, I had expected a better experience when the inner glass door shattered during the self-cleaning cycle, especially as I rarely use the oven and this was only the 3rd time I used the self-clean feature. When I called Bosch, the agent I spoke with seemed to agree with me that there must be a defect of some kind for this to happen, and she made an appointment for a technician to assess the issue at no charge to me. I may have been somewhat naive, but I was led to believe that Bosch would likely review the issue and not charge me for the repair as the damage clearly occurred due to a defect in the appliance and through no fault of mine. The technician they sent was awesome, arrived on time, assessed the problem and told me he would order the glass. As I didnt hear back from Bosch, I assumed that the agent had brought my issue to the attention of her supervisor and, since I didnt hear back, assumed there would be no charge to me. Well the technician is in my kitchen repairing my oven door and asked if Id heard from Bosch as to the charge. When I advised I hadnt, he suggested I call. I was shocked to find out that no one had made an effort to send my issue up their chain of command, nor was I able to speak with a supervisor as there was none available. The best they would offer, as the technician was already doing the repair job, was a 20% discount off the replacement glass.I also had an issue with my Bosch microwave one month out of warranty when the turntable motor stopped working. I was told I would have to pay not only for the replacement piece, but for the technicians visit, but I wasnt told that until the repair guy showed up at my door and told me that I would be seeing lots of him because they dont make appliances the way they used to. I sent him away on principle and hired an appliance repair guy to do the job - it wasnt cheaper but I couldnt get past the guys attitude.Had I known I would also be charged to repair a defective appliance, I would probably have hired the same appliance repair guy to do the job. The only thing that made this experience less horrible was the technician they sent - he was prompt, efficient and clearly knew what he was doing. I bought Bosch Appliances because everything I read indicated they were absolutely top of the line. I am severely disappointed in the product and their poor customer service problem resolution.

HMB5050 Bosch microwave - I remodeled my kitchen 3 years ago. Researched the big Bosch appliances and most received good reviews. The least expensive item, the microwave, I did not research. Big Mistake!!! Read the reviews, all have the same issue. Total failure between 2-3 years. Inverter board/magnetron. Repair cost $600!! So many reviews with the same issue, Bosch should have recalled this item. Instead just discontinued it. No help from customer service, although they did have me go through the trouble of sending them a bunch of stuff. In the end they offered me $25 towards a new inverter board. Im considering a small claims court option. I have enough info about the item to at least warrant a try. All my other Bosch appliances: warming drawer, double wall ovens, dishwasher, 5-burner gas cooktop, have held up well. I cook a lot! Just such a disappointing experience with the darn microwave! I wish they would help me out with a credit towards a new one! They know this thing has serious issues! Ill keep you posted!

Since I purchased my W&D nearly 3 years ago Ive had repair people called out at my expense twice. Then a couple of weeks ago my washer started leaking at the front-loading door-seal. I called Bosch to see if they would pick up the tab for this third unfortunate event. They would not. The major cost is, of course, the house call. The Bosch Customer Service (joke) rep told me that, at most, they would provide another door seal after I paid a repair person to come and look at the washer and state that it leaked, -- THEN, I must call the repair person back again (my fee, again) to install the seal that BOSCH so generously provided to me (after proof). Only then would I have a washer that twisted my clothes into a knot and annoyed me with constant beeps that I cannot turn off. What is wrong with these companies? Where is customer service? I bought their high end products and put my faith in them to help the environment by using less water and electricity, to the tune of 3X what a regular ol W&D cost. German engineering notwithstanding, I will never buy another Bosch product. I will wash clothes on a rock first!! And ya know what the really sad part is? The nice little Appliance Plus repairman in Surfside said on one of this visits that this was still the best washer and dryer made :(

Purchased a Bosch 500 dishwasher from Lowes in June 2020, after a few weeks something in the door broke and door when opened made a pop sound and the door fell completely to the floor! Instead of returning it to Lowes I pursued calling Bosch warranty services for in home repair. They came and replaced a rope inside the dishwasher that lowered the door. A few weeks later it broke again! Repairman came out, ordered another rope and said he would be back when part came in. Weeks later they returned and repaired it again. A couple weeks later it broke again! Repairman came and said company said to replace the rope with a roller? A couple weeks later, you guessed it, it broke again! I called Bosch and told them I wanted them to replace the dishwasher that it was ridiculously unusable! I had to wait for them to approve replacement of the dishwasher which was a few more weeks, in fact I had to call them numerous times, each time waiting an hour or more on line, then was asked to email proof of purchase which I did. Two weeks later still no response, I called again waiting over an hour on line, to be told they didnt see my email, so I made them stay on line while I resent it to them, I said I wanted to speak to management and they said no one was in the building, then I was told I would be transferred to management on the phone. After about an hour on the phone, they found my email and said I needed to wait on management to approve replacement, I said, I thought you were management, she said yes but it has to be reviewed! To try to shorten this complaint it was back I believe in October when I first called to replace this unit, it is now Jan 21 and I am still waiting. I called them today 1/9/21 and was told there was nothing on my account to update me with.

I moved into a brand new building with a Bosch Axxis washer and dryer that had never been used. I am the apartments first occupant. I have always had some issue with these appliances, but what I have dealt with in the past week has taken the cake. My first issues were similar to most peoples on this site: the washer does not fully dry out after use and is left with a mildew smell which then gets on the clothes and the dryer does not fully dry unless run for hours and, again, leaves the clothes with a mildew smell and leaves you with an expensive electric bill. This was hardly energy saving. My most intense grievance is with the cheap latch design on the washer and the customer service I received in response to this issue. I closed the washer after loading it up with clothes and the latch on the washer (not the door) fell into the machine making it not possible to close the washer and therefore not possible to run it. I called my maintenance man in my building who directed me to the Bosch customer service line. We relayed what happened and said we needed a new latch or something needed to be fixed on the latch. Someone came to fix the issue the next day. By fixing the issue, I mean the man just pulled the latch out and put it where it was, leaving it to be able to fall back into the machine, which is what it did immediately when we tried to use it. When we called the service man who came from Bosch, he said no one told him he needed to put a new latch so he basically did not do anything. We called to make a new appointment and they said they could come 1 month later. That is just unacceptable. They finally said a third party person could come in 4 days. I am waiting to see if this third party person will actually fix the latch. This all occurred 4 months after moving in. So 4 months of use on the washer. Thats all. The funniest part is that the service man even admitted he did nothing to fix the issue. These products are cheap and the service is awful. Do not buy from this company.

Our Bosch fridge/freezer is less than four years old, yet the handles both top and bottom developed cracks and then sheared off. Bosch was not interested as they said out of guarantee. Their resolution was to purchase replacements. I thought that one should expect a decent amount of time using an appliance before it broke like a cheap toy. Bosch appliances are not cheap to buy. I have never had this happen before as we keep our white goods for a very long time and they wear out mechanically. One expects an item to be fit for use and this does not come under that category. The people I spoke to said a manager would phone me back within 3 hours. That was two weeks ago and I have heard nothing from them. If they care so little for their customers, I would suggest not buying a Bosch item.

Have a Bosch Refrig./Freezer just over one year since purchase. Call for service as freezer would not keep food frozen. Waited for repairman for 7 days. He came and said we needed new Temp sender and fuse ($100). Labor ($233) in advance. Would be back to fix in ten days. After 24 hours, the freezer does not work and now refrigerator is losing temp. as well. I requested emergency help as wife just had emergency Detached Retina Surgery and now home. We are both 70 years old. I have all Bosch appliances including: DW, WD, STOVE, MICRO. Never had problems before with any. I am going to call my lawyer and write a claim with the BBB. This is the worst Quality Assurance I have ever seen and the technicians do not have the training on this equipment to fix or repair problems.Updated on 08/02/2015: Call Sears to repair 2-year old Bosch unit which was not cool enough. They came and in 5 mins said I needed 2 parts @ $100/10 days to get parts and $250 labor, all in advance. But when they installed, the Bosch Refrig/Freezer did not work. The service people are not trained and Bosch was no help. I would never recommend Bosch to anyone from now on.

We love our Bosch Dishwasher and will buy another one when we move (even though the new house comes with a brand new one). We especially like the 9 minute rinse cycle we can use if the load isnt full. We also like the third rack for spatulas, though that rack doesnt always get cleaned well. Its also extremely quiet. We only wish there was a light to say it was clean vs just rinsed.

We purchased a home with a Bosch dishwasher. The previous owner did not leave any paperwork on any appliance. The electronics in dishwasher door started a kitchen fire. The insurance company will take care of the kitchen damage, but will not replace the dishwasher. The dishwasher replacement is completely our responsibility. When I called Bosch to see if they would at the very least give me a partial credit toward the purchase of a new Bosch I was told by Representative Kayla, and not very sympathetically, that since I didnt have any paperwork on the original purchase they would not do anything for me. Basically too bad, so sad. Well guess who will not purchase another Bosch product.

I would give a negative start if it was possible. My Bosch microwave began turning on by itself. I purchased it with a paid warranty. I called Bosch in early February and they set up a time for someone to fix it in early March. The Bosch repairmen came and said he fixed it, however, the issue reappeared moments after he left. I called back. They set up another appointment and the repairmen did not show up when he was supposed to (of course they never gave me any notice). I called back and set up another appointment. Of course, the repairmen never showed up. I called Bosch and complained to a manager (who was the rudest manager I ever spoke with). He set up another appointment. This time the repairmen actually showed up with the parts but then informed me that the parts they ordered wont fix the issue. So they had to order different parts. So I set up another appointment for today. Surprise surprise, the Bosch repairmen never showed up (again with no notice). In summary, during the past 5 months, I have set up 5 appointments and have had 3 no shows (without any notice). I have complained to Bosch US, Bosch UK, and Lowes. I filed a formal written complaint to Lowes. I have spent over 15 hours calling Bosch. I have complained to 4 managers to no avail. 2 managers were supposed to call me back but they didnt. I am at a loss for what to do. Now all I want is my warranty money back or a new microwave. Can anyone help me????

I loved my Bosch dishwasher (Silence Plus 48 dBA Dishwasher) when I first got it. It was so quiet and did a great job. Two years in and just out of warranty, it needed a $300.00 repair because water was leaking out the bottom. Now, two years after that, it wont stop draining, even with the door open. A repairman confirmed what I thought, water was leaking into the subtray so the float wouldnt drop to allow the machine to function. He found a break in the water valve and told me the problem is a common one. I wont be buying any Bosch appliance again.

I bought a Bosch SHE3AR7UC Ascenta dishwasher about 6 months ago after my previous low end unit got too noisy after 9 years of service to me and more to the previous homeowner). Given the price and ratings, I expected a trouble free appliance. Yes, it is quiet. But it arrived with internal damage and when I called them, they said they could replace the bent up tray. I said I was uncomfortable with that, as I didnt know what other damage may have been caused. I was not given a choice so accepted their offer. Months later, it has failed about 6 times, and is now unusable. Error 15, 24, and sometimes wont reset or power off. The repairman comes in a few days, meanwhile I am handwashing dishes after spending 800 bucks! And they wont replace it, despite having shipped me a damaged unit. Customer service on the phone is also poor, unless you get past the front line folks. I will never buy Bosch again.

I currently use a Bosch SHE4AM dishwasher. The reason the Overall experience is lower than the other ratings is that I have several dishes that just dont fit well in this dishwasher. It cleans well, doesnt leave spots (I do use a rinse agent) and dries the dishes well. And it holds lots of dishes if they are thin. If your dishes are chunky, you will have difficulty loading them and wind up washing more often with fewer dishes in the racks. I would recommend a Bosch dishwasher and will buy another, but I will probably take some dishes to the appliance store with me to see how they fit.

These Bosch Appliances are a piece of garbage. I purchased a washer and dryer for a heck of a lot of money because I believed too much and now they are garbage! They dont drain well, our clothes smell, and they ball your wash. My washer is ready to walk away by itself when it spins. If I could, I would burn them. Who ever heard of taking an hour to do a load of wash and you cant adjust the settings? I have heard from a lot of people that have seen my washer and dryer how nice it looks until I tell them what they are like. I let anyone who asks if I like them and I say no. I dont recommend these appliances to anyone even if they are looking at them in the stores. Now, when I look at all the comments of all your appliances, your company is no good. I will never recommend your company to anyone.

We just remodeled our kitchen. We really liked the Bosch Benchmark oven(s), the standard 30, the speed micro, and the steam oven, along with a warming drawer. We embraced their advertising showing these appliances all lined up along a wall, or lined up as well as one above another. Their literature touts the fact that they are all identical in appearance, backed up by the photos they display. We ordered our ovens (as well as the induction cooktop) last December for January delivery dates. Our cabinet maker had the ovens delivered to their location to be sure they built the cabinets to fit the ovens and warming drawer perfectly. We opted for a horizontal install as well as vertically - the standard oven top left with the speed micro to its right lined up horizontally. Below the standard oven is our warming drawer. Below the speed micro is the steam oven perfectly lined up vertically with the micro and horizontally with the standard oven and warming drawer. Then the electricians came out and wired them in. Immediately I noticed the number displays on the standard oven and the steam oven have large numbers in a very nice font, but the microwave has the old fashioned typical pixelated microwave numbers that I have on my old $85 dollar unit! I also noticed that the stainless steel panel that houses the controls are different in their construction! The microwave version looks cheaper! Bosch has spent a lot of money on the advertising concentrating on the type of install I have - lining your ovens up horizontally and vertically - they proudly state that they are identical! They are not! Through my appliance dealer I contacted Bosch hoping that, perhaps, since my micro was built in February 2014 there might be a later run that matched. There isnt. Their answer was, Well, if you dont like it, just turn off the display on the microwave! I am floored by this attitude! It seems quite reasonable to me to expect this very simple part of the construction of these ovens to match!! Our install arrangement even makes it look worse by putting the odd one between the better ones! Well, I am stuck with them now since we had custom cabinetry built to house them. All I can do is pass on the word. Thank you for reading this.

I purchase 4 appliances from Future Shop less than 2 years ago. The microwave has stopped working. I called Bosch who gave me the number of the approved service person. He refused to fix my appliance because it was not under warranty (although I bought a bundle 3-year warranty at the time from Future Shop which I assumed was for all appliances, turned out all BUT the microwave). The Bosch service person said he only repairs under warranty because Bosch pays him big bucks to do so and really did not service microwaves anyway! I have been in touch with Bosch now 5 times, no help! I have left messages for supervisors, 3 times. No one calls me back! I would NEVER buy Bosch again! I should have bought less expensive appliances and saved myself money and headaches. Now I have a microwave that does not work and no responses from Bosch. What a rip off!

The first dishwasher had burnt up the wires inside washer as well as outside connections. It took a lot of calls for them to agree to replace the first unit. I had read on line that it had happened to others. After second dishwasher was installed on 1/9/09, my wife and I saw that our model number was a recall to possible electrical fires. For about two years, we received letters in the mail of this recall. Fast forward to late August up to early September, the second dishwasher is not working right. Bosch agreed to pay for a tech to diagnose and concluded that the heater assy shut as well as the main PCB, whatever that is. Repair is estimated at $450 to $500 on an almost four year old dishwasher. Bosch said that I am out of luck because warranty is over and that the second dishwasher was a goodwill case, even though the first dishwasher was a recall as a fire hazard. Oh and by the way, it is just my wife and I, so we dont use our dishwasher like a big family does.

Nice but not that nice. My salesman very highly suggested this dishwasher so I bought it for $900. The good? Its very good looking. The bad? I do not find it any better than a $500 dishwasher from GE. Its quiet but not silent. It seems to clean dishes fine but it will not dry them no matter what you try. I live in a very very dry part of the country and no matter how much or how little I load this machine up with... and select Extra Dry when I open the dishwasher in the morning after running at night... not only are the dishes and cups still wet but so is the inside of the dishwasher. So, whats the point of having controls to select dryness? Oh, the (3) not 4 legs are plastic and all 3 of them broke off when I tried to slide the dishwasher. Great huh? Funny, I know steel legs may cost another $5 but I dont remember arguing with the salesperson about $5. so why not raise the price by $5. and get rid of the cheap cheap cheap plastic legs. My brand new $900 dishwasher now sits on wooden blocks... Great idea... Plastic legs.

I bought a washer/dryer from Teds appliance, both are Bosch. I have had nothing but trouble with them. I believe I narrowed it down to the washer. It decolorizes, tears, and leaves oil marks on the laundry. It moves across the floor and smells like a sewer. Brand new items look 10 years old. After roughly 4 years my Bosch dishwasher SHE4AM16UC/03 stopped working. First, the detergent dispenser door stopped opening, then wash cycle would short into a few minutes of activity, no real washing, and going straight to the Clean light. Bosch advertises its warranty for parts as 5 years, which in all practicality is not usable, because to get a faulty part for free you have to have a technician over to diagnose the problem and make repairs. The price is $99 for a visit fee and $120/hour labor afterwards. In my opinion, Bosch does not provide efficient warranty support for its appliances. It should be clearly stated as 1 year, not 5 years for the above reason. The dishwasher is poorly made and is a disappointment. I had units that never required any services or repair in 30 years from different manufacturers. I will not buy another Bosch appliance and hope that my experience with this dishwasher and the company will help other buyers make informed decisions.
