We purchased a home with a Bosch dishwasher. The previous owner did not leave any paperwork on any appliance. The electronics in dishwasher door started a kitchen fire. The insurance company will take care of the kitchen damage, but will not replace the dishwasher. The dishwasher replacement is completely our responsibility. When I called Bosch to see if they would at the very least give me a partial credit toward the purchase of a new Bosch I was told by Representative Kayla, and not very sympathetically, that since I didnt have any paperwork on the original purchase they would not do anything for me. Basically too bad, so sad. Well guess who will not purchase another Bosch product.

Purchased new Bosch dishwasher from Lowes. Took 2 weeks to be delivered from the Lowes warehouse. When installed by the Lowes plumbers, the panel showed electrical errors. The installers called Bosch Service, service person could only say it must be installed incorrectly. Lowes replaced. Did not know you had to clean the dishes before loading the dishwasher. After the first load, water stands in the bottom of the dishwasher and stinks. Cleaned as recommended by the owners manual. I did not know you would have to wipe the insides down also. Water still stands and stinks. We thought Bosch was an excellent product until now.

I have been the owner of Kenmore dishwashers since 1978. Today I had to have one service for technical issues the door latch for the first time ever. It was purchased in July 2015, not two years old. It is a Bosch by Kenmore, the door latch keeps popping during the wash cycle, and you have to keep closing it. Very irritating. Of course there is only a one year warranty on it, and they refuse to cover expenses. I called Bosch and they really dont care. Poor attitude. Don’t buy Bosch products. THIS IS THE ONLY TIME FOR ME. WE LEARN BY OUR MISTAKES. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.

My husband and I had to replace our Dishwasher 3 times due to the lock not staying locked. We are now looking at Dishwasher # 4. I am not happy. It is time to do recall on this model. We bought a high-end Bosch dishwasher from a big box store three years ago and have recommended it to everyone we know. We always loved how quiet it worked, how clean our dishes were, and the cool features Bosch has like the third rack for silverware. However, last week it just quit working out of the blue. Upon further inspection, the Bosch-supplied junction box had MELTED, along with the wiring. A quick Google search indicated that Bosch dishwashers develop mysterious and dangerous problems after three years... when they are out of warranty. As a matter of fact, check their recall record: my dishwasher SHOULD be part of the massive recall since the power box melted (the very problem they were seeking to remedy with the recall), but Bosch Customer Service says it is not. They (falsely) told me they would cover the problem anyway, but then the day the repairman came out, told me they would not only not cover it, they would not even ORDER the part I needed until I could provide proof of ownership. When I did, then they said they would not order the part until a written diagnosis was provided by the tech (who has other house calls to make?). I shudder to think how many more hoops I will have to jump through JUST TO GET THE PART, let alone who is going to pay for it. Ive worked my way up the Bosch customer service personnel list just to get to the same dead end. Bottom line: They have a neat product, when it works. But I wish I had known at the time that its not well-made, it will not last, and they will not stand by it. Oh, and it just might burn your house down as it almost did mine. BEWARE!!!

Wed just purchased and installed a Bosch Ascenta (top marks from CR) when my husband got transferred. It was pricey but worth, so we opted to move our new appliance with us. No issues for a couple of years, then it stopped draining, wasnt under warranty etc. Since we werent sure how long wed be in our house we opted for less expensive brands - went through three before our big kitchen remodel. Went back to Bosch - unit was as outstanding as our first until we had to unhook it make so adjustments during the remodel. Since being reinstalled, it doesnt drain. We get an E25 error and have to run rinse cycles to force it to drain. It smells - like celery? Maple syrup? And the filters which I clean after every cycle are loaded with debris - and we pre-rinse!? Still under warranty I called Bosch. Since we dont live in a metropolitan area, they referred me to an approved Bosch service provider in lieu of sending a Bosch tech. Called their suggested provider and was advised that Id have to pay $100 for them just to come out even though this is a Bosch warranty call. Seriously? I already dropped $800 and now I have to shell out for something that should be fully covered by the warranty? Next washer wont be a Bosch.Updated on 05/07/2018: The grimy clean dishes and the awful stench had me biting the bullet and accepting the ridiculous service call charge. Service tech was at our house for less than half an hour and had to call Bosch Tech Line for help - between the two they decide its a defective wash pump. $490 to fix + $100 to diagnose = more than we paid for the unit (was a sweet Black Friday deal). Figured wed just buy a new unit until I was flipping through the owners manual and noted that this unit carried the Good Housekeeping Seal which guaranteed to refund or replace any defective product within the first two years of ownership. When I was finally able to get an answer from GH I was told that Bosch no longer carried the GH Seal but that theyd forwarded my info on to Bosch. I was surprised when Bosch contacted me, and upon my supplying proof of purchase and the service techs invoice, agreed to repair the washer at no charge to me and refund the $100 service call charge. I had such high hopes. Two weeks later, with a new genuine Bosch replacement part in hand, Mr. Service Tech installed the new wash pump and leaves telling me its all good. I run a cycle with no dishes and what do you know - E25! Mr. Service Tech comes back out and is on the phone with the Bosch Tech department again. Actually overheard him getting pointers on how to spin this to being our fault i.e., we installed the dishwasher incorrectly!?! Our dishwasher is routed directly into the waste water line in the basement, not into the kitchen sink (which drains in to the same waste water line) - so heres his analysis of the situation: Modern dishwashers dont have enough power to expel water down (to the pipe below the unit) and are made to push the water to the sink (through tubing fed through the nearby cabinets and UP into the disposal). So they can defy gravity, despite being low energy? He doesnt know why were only getting the error sometimes but thinks maybe theres an air bubble and the reason were able force drain is that enough water pressure builds up that its finally able to clear. Maybe theres something stuck in the drain pump - couldnt explain why he didnt check that the first time he came out - and didnt do it this time either!? Cant explain why the dishwasher worked for six months. Tells us to disconnect the dishwasher drain hose from the waste water line and set it up to drain into a 5 gallon bucket. Run a cycle and if the water drains into the bucket there should be no E25 error and proof that it wasnt correctly installed. Call him if that doesnt work.SO...we do it and we ran every conceivable cycle on after the other - no breaks - drained every time, but 50% of the time there was significant water left in the washer and the E25 error. Called Mr. Service Tech this morning. Was told that either hed call us back or the service company would call once they determined what to do. My bet is nothing. But, were not out anything, and we wont be buying a Bosch again!

We bought a new home about a year ago and we were happy that it came with a Bosch dishwasher. We had no idea that the dishwasher was on recall and about 6 months after we moved in, the dishwasher caught fire while we were in the living room. The only compensation that Bosch would offer us is 40% off another dishwasher if we order it through their website. Believe me, if your dishwasher bursts into flames in your kitchen and you have to have the fire department remove it from your home, you wont want to put the exact same product back in your house! I am very frustrated with a company that I thought was a high end brand leaving me to pay to replace their defective product. Id pick a different company if I were you!

I purchased a Bosch dishwasher in April 2012 and have had nothing but trouble with it, even having the repairman out. Thank heavens I purchased the extended warranty. It doesnt dry at all. When the repairman came, he said that I had to open the door to let out the steam so that it would dry. What? You want me to get up in the middle of the night to open the door? I use the dishwasher soap that was supplied with the washer, so thats not it. It has the rinse agent in. I have to wash my silverware by hand as I would never let anyone eat off them like they are when I take them out of the washer. They are good stainless steel. When you pull out the bottom rack, it falls off the track. Silverware container takes up too much space. My other one was in the door, it was a less expensive washer and I had it for 13 years and was still working, but I thought that I would get new appliances. Well good thing that I didnt buy all Bosch. I am not going to recommend this washer to anyone. I am very disappointed with this product.

HORRIBLE customer service, the microwave panel stopped working and when try to get a hold on bosch customer service was almost impossible. And when finally after and hours and a half they send me with a repair dealer which they were efficient. They ordered the part which arrive to their warehouse delivered from Bosch. A month after and when the technician came to install the part he found out was USED! And when the technician call to report that the REPRESENTATIVE FROM BOSCH was very RUDE which I experience that previously...Now my $5,000 dollars refrigerator it is starting to fail! After extensive research on the best dishwasher on the market we found that it was Bosch. We purchased one on 1/30/16 from Sears. Upon delivery they told us that the fact that we were told and there was a sign on the dishwasher we bought that we would get a supply of Finish dishwasher tablets that it was a mistake. I was told to call and deal with Bosch on it did not get anywhere with it. Sears had to come back because it was not hooked up properly before I could actually use it. After getting it hooked up it worked good for the few months we used it. We are only in the property it was installed in a maximum of 5 months. The dishwasher began giving us an E20 code and when we looked it up online it said pump or motor problem. I called for service first at Sears and was told it would be 2 weeks at least before service. Called Bosch and they gave us a number and was told the same thing 2 weeks at least. Went online to chat with Sears and was told that the pump and motor had at least a 2 year warranty. Today repairman came said the pump is bad and that the warranty would not cover. They told us to call Bosch directly to talk to them and have been trying all day but cannot get anyone to answer. I am put on hold saying I will be helped by next available person and stay on hold but eventually I am cut off. Frustrating. This dishwasher cost way more than others but we were willing to do it thinking it would be the last one we buy. After hardly using it we are told repair will be between $400 and $500. It is not acceptable. Hopefully eventually someone at Bosch will answer and take care of us but cannot continue calling week after week. It is already going on 3 weeks without the dishwasher we only use a few months anyway.

For example, my mountains are not blue on my Coors Light. Now the fridge is making all kinds of loud noises. I am waiting for a tech to come out to look at it. Took a week because they will only come out on a day when theyre in that area... Pissed me off. My BOSCH DISHWASHER is a lemon. The customer service department is incompetent and their repairman broke the bracket on our handle and said to call and get a new bracket to fix it and left. When we called to get replacement piece we were told we wouldve to pay to fix it because they had no record of it being broken by their repairman. We mailed them our proof with a letter and they offered to pay for the bracket but not the repairman! We purchased a high end Bosch Dishwasher for our new home. Since then we have made over 6 complaints to their inept customer service department. There was also was a recall on this unit after we paid to replace the cord that was defective. On each call they create a new claim number and they act ignorant to the prior complaints. They are masters at avoidance and running the warranty on their appliances. When you do get them to agree to send a repair crew they send incompetent repair personnel. As to the dishwasher it doesnt clean the dishes. The glasses are always spotted and its not the water. If you want your plates clean you must rinse and wipe them before they go into the DW. The utensils have to be washed again after they come out as they have food particles on them. We have a family of 7 and the DW is run all the time. We did not have ours for a month when we called for the first service as it would not drain and the dishes were dirty. This continued to happen and they would always walk you through a series of fixes before they agree to send out the repairman. Their defect product caused a recall on the part that was causing this issue but they did not tell us until we complained after the second service call. During the 3rd or fourth service call the repairman snapped the bracket on the door handle. He said we would need to call and order the part and could not fix it after he broke it. Since then we have made complaints and sent letters to BOSCH about the bracket and the failure of the DW to clean the dishes, glasses and utensils. Their customer service department puts you thru the ringer. After requesting supervisors and no calls back when promised several times it escalated up the ladder only to be told that they would pay for the new bracket - but we had to pay for the repairman time!!! THEY BROKE IT!!! It is unbelievable to me the amount of wasted time (and money) that has been spent. They do not stand by their product... they are awful. BTW, we have owned many Bosch DWs and always recommended them - this is the first time with an issues, and its been awful!!! I will never buy Bosch again due to this!

We purchased a Bosch Dual Fuel Range and it worked great for about the first year. Then error code 118 began showing up when trying to preheat the oven. It would happen occasionally but after the 4th year it would not preheat on Bake at all. We researched the problem and found the parts we needed to fix the problem were not available. Bosch no longer makes these parts and there is no updated part to resolve the issue so we are stuck with a 4 year old range that cant be repaired. I purchased a Bosch gas stove and dishwasher 18 months ago as part of a home remodeling project. Within weeks of installation the symbols on the stove knobs indicating what burner they corresponded to had virtually worn away. I had the plate replaced and within a few months they had worn away again. I have used no cleaning product on the stove other than stainless steel cleaner - now I just live with the fact that people have to figure out what burner theyre turning on by trial and error. Within months the electrical components of the oven also began to malfunction. The oven would preheat but if it were left on for a while (while cooking Thanksgiving dinner, for instance - yes, that happened) the oven would spontaneously go dead - the digital display as well as the heating element. Switching off the circuit breaker and turning it back on again did nothing. I had the circuit board replaced (it was still under warranty) and a few weeks later the same thing happened (again, during a party when I was doing a lot of cooking). Long story short, it took 6 months and several service calls to resolve the problem. Now the oven works but the clock loses hours almost daily - I have to constantly re-set it. (Again, I just live with this - apparently having a stove clock that works is too much to ask.) The dishwasher has been just as bad. A wine glass apparently broke during a washing cycle and a 1 shard of glass got through the filter and into the pump. (Like this has never happened before in anyones kitchen? The filter system underneath the dish rack should be designed to prevent hard objects like a piece of glass from getting into the pump.) The dishwasher is 18 months old. I just spent $250 dollars for a new pump. I will never, ever buy a Bosch appliance again. I had a Frigidaire dishwasher in my old house and never had a service call in 10 years. For supposedly higher-end appliances, Boschs engineering and attention to detail is absolutely pathetic. I would give them a 0 for reliability. The local appliance outlet I bought these from has been extremely prompt about coming to my home for service calls, and very apologetic about my complaints. I dont blame them - I place the blame entirely on the poor quality of the appliances themselves.

Purchased a dishwasher and oven in 2007. The DW was rated #1 and environmentally friendly... Its not ... It requires expensive rinse agents and it doesnt clean the dishes. The heating elemental either never worked or broke just outside of the 1-year-warranty. We had purchased the extended warranty so at least they fixed it.... But it still cost that added $150 bucks. The convection oven was also $1000 and doesnt cook several trays of cookies perfectly as advertised...not worth the money. Two years ago the main computer module fell off the back... The glue dried out that held it in place. Thankfully we jerry-rigged it back. Now the oven door wont close properly, so the oven turns itself off. We called for service and they said the part is $240 plus $150 for labor. I called customer service to see if they could help out... Nope... They blame me... I must have set something too heavy on the door.

I purchased an Bosch 800 series dishwasher late 2018. This is my second Bosch dishwasher, I loved my first one. It was super quiet and cleaned beautifully. I cant say the same for this one. Last week it stopped working giving me an error message. I tried to troubleshoot myself. It makes a loud grinding noise, sounds like the drain pump. I called the 800 number, the call center tried troubleshoot to no avail. Scheduled service, the dishwasher is still under warranty.I requested the the latest appt in the day, to accommodate my work schedule and long story short the service department is very unaccommodating for customers that cant sit at home all day waiting to a tech. I was told they would send a list of other service vendors to who do Bosch warranty work in my community (Orlando, FL). After 2 requests for the list, still not received. I found that some micro and macro cracks have appeared in the top front plate of the set. As I am a specialist and a lecturer in the university, I found that these cracks are a result of humidity and low quality of the top plate of the set. I purchased a Bosch dishwasher in August of 2012. Model number SHX33RF5UC/64. It has the hidden integrated control panel. It worked well until a few days ago when it stopped draining. I called a local appliance repair company, which has fixed our appliances for 19 years. The repair person who came looked at the dishwasher and then decided they that they werent familiar enough Bosch dishwashers to work on it. I called Bosch, they agreed to pay for a diagnostic visit from one of their approved providers. The repair person took off the front of the dishwasher and drained it. They told me that they could not diagnose it without taking it back to their store. They werent sure if it was the pump, the control panel, or both. I asked how much it might cost and they advised me that it probably would be around 300.00. I asked if he thought I should buy a new dishwasher, because the repairs were so expensive and they only warranted the repairs for 90 days. He recommended buying a new dishwasher. So now I have a dishwasher that fills up, washes but doesnt drain. I hate to get rid of it, but if I get it repaired and breaks then Ill still need a new dishwasher. Shortly, after purchasing the dishwasher I bought the same one for my dad, because initially it worked well. Its really disappointing because I grew up with a KitchenAid dishwasher that worked for 23 years. In my experience todays KitchenAid products arent any better than any other major brands.

I have a very small dishwasher because of my space. This model is the latest model and works really well. I like the fact that there is a separate cutlery section. I am satisfied with the performance. Dishes are cleaned well if the temperature is high. The bottom and top rack dont fit tall dishes. So I would prefer a bigger dishwasher.

I had a Bosch refrigerator for many years and was very happy. I recently had to renew the fridge and opted to buy Bosch again, however I am very disappointed in the new design. Shelves are not the right distance apart (not allowing the stacking of such things as 2 yogurt pots) thus wasting lots of space, putting a huge draw in place of a door shelf, door shelves with a cover, the freezer is much smaller than the previous even though the external dimensions are the same. The new fridge makes lots of squeaking noises. Your designers are IDIOTS. I will be looking at another manufacturer when I change this fridge.

800 Series dishwasher is great when it comes to cleaning. Issue is with the bottom rack. The tapered wheels dont stay on the tracks. Particularly when fully loaded the bottom rack wont stay in the track and falls into the tub. We just had Abt Appliance out since the dishwasher is only a month old. Tech said that this is a common complaint and Bosch has not done anything to address it. Very frustrating since it forces you to have to only partially load the lower rack. Will contact Bosch directly and see what they say. If there is no fix we will be replacing with a KitchenAid!

We purchased a Bosch Dishwasher on 4-27-2014 from Sears; at which time Bosch had a rebate (Offer # 781-34) of $150.00 Install Reward. We sent the rebate in on the following day. It said that we would received rebate within 8 to 10 weeks. We waited until about 7 weeks and then called the 800# on the form to check on the status of the rebate and were told that they didnt have any record of it yet and should call back in 2 weeks. Called back 2 weeks later and talked to a man that said for some odd reason it must have been lost. We asked him if that meant that we lost out on our $150.00 rebate and he said, No, just resend it, but that we would just have to wait another 8 to 10 weeks. Now we received a postcard stating that the request was not postmarked within the time frame stated on the rebate form. We called the rebate center and explained the situation and they said that the 2 times that we called there were never reported so they were sorry but we lost our rebate. This we feel is totally not our fault. We sent the rebate on time. They should have created an account on us the first time we called. The rebate offer is what made us buy the Bosch in the first place. It was to pay for the installation fee. We talked to a supervisor at the rebate center and she told us that the man that told us to resend the papers to them should have given us a different address to send them to. I asked her for that different address and that I would resend them for the 3rd time and she said that it was too late now because the rebate was over. This is really ridiculous. We have searched on line and found that we are not the only ones this has happened to. What is actually happening with these rebates that people like us are suppose to be getting but arent? We are very disgusted in this whole situation and in the way the rebate center for Bosch is run. They need to train the people hired there to do their jobs. We are not upset with the actual people that are answering the phone but the ones that are higher up doing the hiring and training. Went higher up and talked to a person from Bosch and they said that the rebates are all handled by the rebate center and that this was out of their hands.

I purchased a Bosch dishwasher in 2006 from a reputable dealer. Over the past 7 years, I have had the dishwasher serviced for a malfunctioning handle, leaking all over the floor, and excessive build up. I have spent approximately $573 on repairs and now it is leaking again with the build up. I have contacted Bosch and they will not help me unless I pay for the repair dealer to come out again for an official diagnosis. To get this diagnosis, it will cost me another $150. The best Bosch will commit to is pay for parts. This is ridiculous!

First technician who visited my house told me that I need to rewire power cables and they (Bosch) dont do it. I had it done but machine still didnt work. I called again.Second person who came to fix my machine replaced few electronic parts but machine still didnt work. I was promised another appointment that was scheduled in a couple of weeks. First technician came again, replaced more parts but machine still didnt work. Once again I was promised an appointment. At this point, something went wrong in appointment scheduling process as I was never notified. Overall the stove is a good unit. However, cleaning it completely is difficult because it does not allow you to remove the power knobs to perform a complete cleaning. In addition, the heat elements are not consistently on, regardless of what setting you place them on. They will stay on for a short period and then turn off for a few minutes until such time that it feels it should come back on to that setting. The unit is a little pricey, around $800 for a cooktop. There are no frills extras on the unit, very basic in fact. You need to be careful as to what you use to clean the top or surface; very easy to remove the black coating if done with a wrong cleaner.

I am a plumber in Sydney. I always recommended Bosch or Smeg dishwashers to customers when doing kitchen renovations I used to have a Smeg dishwasher which was very user friendly then I changed to Bosch which is my biggest downfall in appliance selection & recommendations, since having it I have found: #1. It not washes soap off properly & we were told not to use the finish tablets. #2. Racking system bottom rack loses wheels all the time & top & bottom racks folds & doesnt hold dishes properly. #3. Faults with drainage system always happening & I always need to reset system holding start button down 10 sec #4. Now it has a fault E15 flashing & drain continues to drain - I even payed for extended warranty which doesnt cover much not happy. I thought Bosch had a much much much better quality dishwasher than this.

Purchased Bosch dishwasher (Dishwasher SHX68T55uc/01) from Lowe’s - came without plug to connect to power. Was told several times by Bosch customer service that the power cord was an option. The power cord has a special plug associated with it so it cannot be connected to power without the special cord. Also the rubber gasket on the side of the unit was pinched in the door and had taken an improper set which interfered with the door seal. Bosch said since this was a floor model that it was purchased as is. I also received a sound deadening device with the unit that Bosch denies belongs to them. For decades now I have used and preferred Bosch products. Recently I have had an ongoing bad experience with a Bosch dishwasher that I bought last June from Sears. Last January it abruptly stopped working. It was under warranty so I contacted Bosch as Sears does not handle warranty issues. I was told to contact a local service provider. To my regret I called Appliance Marshall repair in Cary Illinois. The idiot they sent made 2 trips and was not able to figure out how to make the warranty repairs. Instead he claimed that water leaking from the brand new custom made to accommodate my new dishwasher had somehow leaked water that damaged the dishwasher, and that it was not covered by warranty. I told him that there was never any such event, and there was no water leak anywhere. The only source of water in that location was the dishwasher. I have pictures that show the floor discolorations and that the leak came from the dishwasher itself. There is no discolouration or drip line on the floor aside from the perimeter of the unit. But since this guy used up my 2 service calls I have to pay for some 3rd party to come out and fix my dishwasher. This has been going on for over 2 months now and I still cannot use my VERY expensive Bosch dishwasher. I should add that during both visits this creep made to my home he made me very uncomfortable by asking irrelevant questions, suggesting friends for repairs to the new home I am remodeling, and really strange behaviour. I hope these guys are subject to a successful criminal background check prior to being sent into peoples homes. Anyway, prior to his deciding and informing Bosch that he could not accomplish the warranty repairs, I called and emailed Appliance Marshall repair that he never be sent to my home again since he made me so uncomfortable. Since an accurate and verifiable diagnosis of this unit was never made I feel that I have a Bosch product in my kitchen that is a fire and electrocution hazard. I just want to express my extreme dissatisfaction with Bosch.

When she determined that they didnt have a provider in our area, she said I should look in the phone book for someone to repair the oven. She did, after I asked her, provide me with a service provider in the nearest large city to us, but she left me with the impression that she could care less about providing good customer service. Bosch 500 Series HBE5451UC - From installation forward the oven would not heat up to temperature. We bought it through Sears. I called Sears Repair twice. They just gave me the runaround wanting me to bake various things and keep track of how long they took to bake. Sears was not interested in my problem. Called the Bosch Service line. They gave me the name of and excellent repair service that would drive 60 miles to my home in the mountains. The repair technician evaluated the oven and found it had a bad board, I suppose circuit board. It took 3 visits from the repair tech. The wrong board was first sent. Once the correct board was installed the oven is reaching temperature. However it continues to not bake good evenly. It bakes things faster in the back of the oven than at the front. I have to watch or bread or cake will be burned in the back of the oven while still pale at the front. The baking rails are a real danger. There is only one pair of rails with the oven. I tried to buy a second pair so I could bake 2 pans at a time and they are not available. So, I tried inserting a pan without the rails. It is very dangerous!! You have to be very careful or the pan falls out and would dump its contents on the floor. So, the oven has very limited use with only one usable rack for a pan limiting how much one can back at a time. This is the 3rd wall oven we have had in this cabinet in the 40 years we have lived in the house. It is 34 inches up from the floor. Every time I open the oven it blows hot air into my face fogging my glasses. I have to step back and wait for my glasses to clear before I can check or remove whatever is baking. As a Public Health Nurse I am concerned this oven has too many safety issues and is a menace to the consumer.

I had some issues with the fridge, it wouldn’t cool and also the water dispenser stopped working. The technician came on a number of occasions to figure out what the issue was, of course all at a cost to me. He thought he figured out why it wasn’t cooling and replaced the fan. He told me to purchase a triple valve from Bosch and that should fix my water dispensing issue. So I ordered online straight away. After a few days the item arrived, but I had also noticed that the internal temp inside the fridge didn’t go below 20 degrees Celsius. I decided enough was enough, spent so much on this technician and yet nothing, so I went out and purchased a new fridge. I contacted Bosch and explained the situation, and seek a refund on this triple Valve, technician labor cost as well as the cost for the new fan he had installed because the fridge clearly isn’t going to work. Till now it is still under review. As for the triple valve I sent it back to Bosch at their request (after again explaining to sales why I no longer want the item) at my own expense and yet they still charged me a ‘restocking fee’. I told them I only purchased it at the advice of the technician but because he couldn’t resolve my main issue, I didn’t need it anymore. They wouldn’t budge. I will recommend anyone that is thinking about purchasing a Bosch appliance to reconsider. Their customer service is awful and their technicians don’t seem to know the product too well either.

It could be that they changed the shelves recently and the store model didnt have the brace across the front of each shelf. Its almost impossible to seein the photos. A tall drink bottle wont fit without angling it and even worse, the upper shelves are only 3 1/4” high instead of 4” high if it didn’t have that weird brace across the front. It make it so that only ver short items can go on that shelf. The bottom shelf in 10’ tall because of the brace, Hill without it, it would be 11 1/8” high. If I can find shelves without the brace, it would be worth it to me to replace these shelves at my own expense because Best Buy won’t do anything about it.

We purchased a Bosch dishwasher after research for top brands. To make a long story short, just after 3 months, we had problems with the bottom rack staying on the track. All the wheels eventually came off one by one, we put them back on but they still kept falling off. So we bought new wheels, still, the rack never glided or stayed on its tracks. We now have to lift the full bottom rack and place it inside the washer. The wand (attachment for water) comes off during the cycle EVERY time no matter if anything scrapes or touches it during the cycles. The third rack (silverware) rarely cleans anything unless they’ve been hand cleaned before going in. Never ever have I spent so much money on an appliance to have it fall apart and dysfunction after 3 months. Customer service was so unwilling to handle the first wheel issues, that attempting a refund was daunting. I’m not sure if Bosch cares if the appliance works at all, or if maybe they just sell “pretty” appliances to people who don’t cook.

This is one of the items that exemplifies the saying, you get what you pay for. I could never bring myself to pay more than $400 to $450 for a dishwasher. When we remodeled our kitchen, we decided to research and upgrade to higher end appliances. The Bosch was highly rated. Its so quiet, we have to make a serious effort to hear if its running when we are standing right next to it. Looks great and appears very well made.

Bought a Bosch SMV46G00G dishwasher, thinking Bosch would be good. My previous cheaper SMEG dishwasher, could be switched to ECO setting and left to run its long cycle whilst I went off to bed. Result? Clean dry dishes in the morning. So I did the same with my expensive Bosch washer. Result? Soaking wet dishes and machine in the morning. Ah! but it saves you energy costs, say Bosch. Thats no good to me if it doesnt do the job, is it? I could take it all down to the local stream and save even more energy and money. I expected a machine that was capable of switch and forget. Instead I have to wait until its finished before I can open the door and let it dry overnight. Poor, stupid design. Why not have a mechanism to open the door automatically after a drying time? Too difficult? I think not, it was standard design on USA machines. Recommendation? Dont buy.

Purchased our Bosch Dishwasher in January 2020 and now, 6 1/2 months later it needs repair. Contacted Bosch Customer service to have an approved company come in for repairs and was given three local contacts. One did not service my area. The other told me it would take 4 weeks for someone to come out and service our dishwasher. I notified customer service of this poor response but was told that they could nothing do about this. They blamed it on Covid. Called my Bosch authorized dealer, who is not a Bosch authorized repair service, but who installed my dishwasher and they were able to put me on the schedule within 24 hours. The drawback: I got to pay and my warranty is no longer in effect. So warning to all: Bosch does not take care of their customers and their attitude towards their customers was borderline rude, extremely dismissive and smug. An all-around horrible experience.

DO NOT BUY BOSCH APPLIANCES. Lousy quality, terrible, unethical and helpless customer service, supervision and management policies. I currently own several thousand dollars of expensive Bosch appliances that are in my judgement and based on experience, poorly designed, poorly engineered, poorly fabricated with deficient materials & components and assembled with lousy craftsmanship Poorly made products indeed, contrary to other high quality Bosch tools, equipment and electronic components used in German made cars. The microwave oven [HMB5050/01] is sitting there for more than six months waiting for Bosch to authorize me to take it to a local dealer at no charge for their required service inspection. It is unacceptable, unreasonable and unethical that the microwave oven is totally useless after only a year+ and should have to be replaced under warranty even if it had expired a few months prior. Now, for whatever reason the SS refrigerator doors are rusting!!! badly [B26FT70SNS/04]. It is unreasonable and unacceptable for any 300 series quality ASME SS to rust in this day and age, it is terrible that your customer service rep argued on the 10 yr warranty first that it was the cleaning product we use [none-my wife will not use any chemicals] and then that warranty only covers rusted perforations!!! I understand manufacturing quality problems that escape inspection or lousy purchasing specifications for defective austenitic steels [industry wide problem] but expect for the manufacturer as reputable as Bosch [was] to back its products ethically and accordingly to the nameplate they carry. The ice maker doesnt work, the shelving pops out, and it cracks easily. The dishwasher’s [800 SERIES SHE68R55UC] text by the buttons has faded away and sometimes it doesn’t dry completely and to top it all, I did not get my full $1500 rebate from Bosch when I purchased all the appliances under a ridiculous excuse on some of the appliances [“we don’t recognize the serial numbers”]. Reading throughout the enormous quantity of negative internet posts it looks like this should be a recall issue. I was hopeful that Bosch would come through as you all have with other customers but they didn’t. Their policies are not applied in a consistent manner; A reviewer at Amazon said I was very pleased that Bosh arranged to have my microwave fixed, even though it was 3 years out of warranty. I encourage anyone with similar problems to contact them rather than rant and rave about the problem, give them a chance to make it right.” Well, not to me regrettably.

Dishwasher control panel markings have all worn off after two years. So you no longer can see power buttons or different cycles. Filed a claim with Bosch like many other consumers have done. Bosch says that they will not cover it and claims it is cosmetic issue not a operating issue. It is an operating issue since you have to take out the manual to know which area to push to run the dishwasher since all of the print has worn off the control panel. I have noticed a lot of other consumers have had the same issue.

The worst dishwasher ever made. My father went through Consumer Reports for the best model of dishwasher to get — the Bosch one was in the top 5. This dishwasher was made for international living not for the American ways of life - busy schedules and raising a family. This dishwasher as with all Bosch dishwashers have a smell that rivals rotting meat. You can’t get rid of the odor it comes back time and time again. It also is extremely difficult to navigate. Dishwashers are to be user friendly. Not hard to figure out. I am not alone in this review. Many others feel the same way.

It has happened twice so far and I cannot find any instructions that would tell me I am not loading it correctly or something is blocking the detergent dispenser from getting sufficient water to empty its contents into the water at the bottom of the washer and be used during the wash cycle!!!

A brand new dishwasher bought from a local major appliance store installed
A brand new dishwasher bought from a local major appliance store installed by a licensed contractor in a kitchen remodel project malfunctioned just outside the regular warranty period from Bosch. Bosch solicited me through email and regular mail of an extended warranty which I accepted. Prior to signing up, I actually spoke directly to a real person/sales representative of the company about the eligibility for repairs under the extended warranty. I was told yes very affirmatively. They took my money and then advised that I could not call in my first repair service for the first month. So I waited patiently and finally called in for repairs. They denied the warranty service by citing pre-existing condition. Im mad. I tried to explain that it is a condition which had deteriorated over time (washing cycle not completing in different stages) which I had explained to the sales rep from the beginning. Bosch misled me, took my money and made me wait a month to make the first claim only to deny it. Im so disgusted with the whole process that I just want my money back and take my business elsewhere or buy a new dishwasher from another manufacturer. They are not giving my money back so Im venting my frustration. Im so upset that I have to deal with dirty dishes for a month when I could have just go out and buy a new dishwasher. The dishwasher is an expensive model: SHP65TL5UC. I regretted that I also purchased other major kitchen appliances from this company. Dont buy Bosch!!!

We purchased the dishwasher last July. It will not get the dishes clean unless they are basically clean before you put them in. And it will not get them dry -- ever. Within a month, we could not get it to start because the door would not close. The tech said it needed to be leveled. Two months later, the door wont close. Tech has to order a bracket for the door. Two months later, same problems -- tech removes some of the parts of the top rack. Two months later, same problems. I have asked for a replacement and no one got back to me. Today, same problem. I think they are just trying to put me off until the warranty runs out.

Bought the above dishwasher (Model SHV878WD3N/10) and had it installed 10/15/18. It did not work from the 1st day. A repair technician checked it on 11/2/18 and told us the dishwasher had a factory defect and was not repairable. He contacted Bosch and told me they were going to exchange the dishwasher and I should check back with them in 3-4 days. I called on 11/6 in the morning and was told the exchange had been approved and I would have to wait 5-7 business days for that to be arranged. In the afternoon on 11/6 a customer service rep called me and advised me the exchange was approved and I would have to wait 7-10 business days.On 11/14/18 I called because I had not heard from them and was told that the approval had not been sent to the exchange department and was assured it was sent through that day. Now they tell me I will have to wait another 7-14 days to find out what model the exchange is approved for and when that may take place. Customer service reps are rude and do not provide their name. This was a $884 custom front unit and they are not even telling me I can get the same unit. The customer service at Bosch is terrible!!

I love my new very quiet Bosch dishwasher, but since I bought the lowest priced model I thought that was why I wasnt getting the best clean glasses and dishes. I contacted Bosch and they sent out a local repair guy. He discovered that water had been pooling under my dishwasher which could have been very damaging to my home. He ordered a complete replacement from Bosch. That was almost a month ago, and since then I have had to initiate all phone calls to see when my new dishwasher will come. Yesterday I spoke with a supervisor who was very condescending and with a sickly sweet tone told me it will be at least another 10 days before any action is taken because that is just their process, and then she cut off the conversation. I dont really know if I will get the new dishwasher after the way she abruptly cut me off.

My experience with a Bosch dishwasher was having it hang up during a cycle
My experience with a Bosch dishwasher was having it hang up during a cycle and not shut off. This was the first month I used it. Turns out it was under recall for a control board failure that had caused fires. Unfortunately only a licenced Bosch repair company could do the warranty work. Closest and only (?) one in OR is 90 mins away. Control board costs half of what a good competitor brand machine costs. Since having it fixed, if the machine gets interrupted by power bump, door open, off button pressed, or anything, then it loses its place and is a nightmare to reset. Try googling how to reset one. Note the multiple ways given and question how or why there are so many. If I can just get it to drain this time, I have a Maytag waiting in the kitchen to take its place.

Bosch dishwashers have a circuit board that according to all the repair persons Ive talked to simply go out after a certain number of loads. A circuit board manufacturing engineer told me after looking at the part that the Bosch cost is about $17 to build it. The repairmen want between $250 to $350 to replace the board that Bosch sells to them for $150. 5 cycle, all the bells and whistles. Deep floor, thin walled, big as you can fit in std space. Bosch make beautiful stainless fronts. Negotiate a 2nd circuit board with your purchase, you will need it soon. Its precisely designed to fail at 3 yrs normal use.

Purchased a new Bosch French door refrigerator. Two weeks later the ice maker stopped working. Called for service. Noticed the vegetable and deli drawers had frozen everything solid. Noticed all the food in the rear of the device was partly frozen. Rep came out and announced the ice maker was defective, needed to be replaced. Ordered new one. He also explained that the ice maker regulates the temp for the refrigerator. Replaced the ice maker. The ice maker constantly drips all over the refrigerator. The water and ice dispensers do not work well. Ice either comes out at a breakneck speed or not at all. Water sprays out all over the place. Very poor engineering.I still have occasional freezing in the veg drawers. Spoke to the Bosh consumer agent, she was arrogant, rude and generally unhelpful. Suggested to me I not put vegetables in the veg drawers, as they tend to freeze! I asked her if she was planning to send another device out for purpose of cooling the verges. She became even nastier. My opinion, run in another direction if you see Bosch while shopping for appliances. Also, my daughter apparently bought a Bosch side by side and hates it. Rues the day. Wish I had spoken to her first.

Bought a Bosch Dishwasher from Currys; after a few weeks I felt it was not washing properly. I rang company sent out a repairman. He said its heating and the arms are turning so its fine. I showed him a stained mug which he took for examination. A few months later it still wasnt washing properly, rang again sent out another Bosch guy. He advised I should have bought elsewhere. Many phone calls to the UK followed. Finally UK said get onto Currys. I went into Currys and explained my situation: dishwasher doesnt wash properly and I cant used dishwasher tablets have to use powder. They were very helpful in the beginning but finally told me that Bosch UK said that their Engineer said it was fine. I have never dealt with such terrible Customer Services as in Bosch UK. They really dont have a clue but dont really want to know your problem. Sadly I have a Bosch washing machine and a Neff oven from the same house. I dread to think how they are going to pan out. It seems to me that Bosch will string you along until your warranty is gone. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM BOSCH OR NEFF AGAIN AND I WOULD STRONGLY ADVISE PEOPLE TO DO THE SAME. They are operating under a good name which they achieved and their stuff is now very poor quality. My advice: do as my sister did, buy the cheapest out there it really cant be any worse.

When researching new appliances, all the reviews seemed to be negative, regardless of manufacturer. It seemed that nobody posted positive reviews. I bought all four Bosch appliances in March 2017 and had a problem with the refrigerator dripping water inside the box which had pooled under the pull-out chiller drawer. I called the Bosch people and they immediately set up an appointment with an independent local appliance repair service. The tech came out the next day, took everything inside the refrigerator apart and contacted Bosch Techs by phone to determine the required fix. After he was done and had put everything back together, I asked what if that didnt solve the problem and he replied that I would probably get a new refrigerator. The next day it was clear the leaking wasnt fixed. I called the repair guy and he immediately started a Claim, and gave me the claim number they would send to Bosch, and a phone number for me to contact Bosch. I talked with a very nice Customer Service lady at Bosch and they emailed me a claim form to complete. I was not able to complete it immediately but took the form to the local post office to mail about five days later. When I got home from the post office, the phone rang and it was the Bosch representative confirming that they had already ordered a new refrigerator and a local installer would contact me once the unit was received. About a week later, their installers came out, removed the old refrigerator and totally set up the new one. When they left there wasnt a trace they had been there and the refrigerator was completely set up. So, I may be in the minority on these Reviews but my Bosch appliances work just fine, the Customer Service people are absolutely delightful to work with and they stood behind their product 100%. I couldnt be happier and think potential customers who study the reviews need to see a positive experience among all the negative reviews.
