The Ecosmart FP Washer was recommended by a designer friend of mine who loved these washers and said she had recommended this to several of her clients. It had a belt driven motor, was low maintenance and easy to repair. So I bought mine in 10/2009. It has worked great for 3 years and btw just last week, I recommended it to a friend because I loved it so much! Anyway, a few days ago I noticed a leak had developed so I had the repairman come out. He said it needed a new part called an Electronic Pump Assembly or a Kit Repair and Fuse at the price of $343.45 with labor at $220 and tax at $29.96 totaling $592.41 (oh, and service fee of $49.95 just to tell me this). What?! I said, That is almost the price of a new washer? He said, Yes, I see this pump go out a lot on these washers but the new part has been improved and should last about 10 years. But darn it, I shouldnt have to pay the cost of a new machine just to get that defective part replaced. I am so disappointed and frustrated because I actually like this unit. Im not sure if I want to risk purchasing another FP Washer (what if it still has that defective part?). It only lasted 3 years!

We purchased a top load washer/dryer set in July 2009. By November 2010, the heating element in the dryer broker and the lint trap was clogged, meaning the dryer was not producing any heat to dry clothes. We had it serviced at that time, replacing the heating element and removing the lint trap to clean it, and now in January 2012, the link trap is clogged again. Also, almost immediately after purchase, the washing machine started leaking whenever a load was more than half full. Additionally, the washer began to (and still) stop wash cycles regularly because the load is not balanced. Sometimes, a wash cycle will stop up to 10 times before it finally runs through, taking almost a full day to wash one load of sheets/blankets. Also, in January 2012, we noticed that the top part of the plastic basket in the washer has begun to shred and tear. We are now weighing the choice of having a repair man out to fix it or not sink any more money into a machine were so unhappy with.We have been extremely disappointed with this set. We purchased this make and model when we built our new home because we wanted a modern, efficient washer/dryer. What we got was almost three years of headaches, service calls, and wasted water and electric.

ERIC ** did some warranty work on my refrigerator. He was on time and explained what he was going to be doing. He cover his feet and was very careful to cover the area he was working in and was very clean. He was polite, neat and efficient. He did a wonderful job of getting everything done right the first time and we were delighted. Obviously knew his job and very customer satisfaction oriented. I would certainly recommend your company and him to all my friends or anybody looking for service.

Tonight is the third time that my washer has stopped working. It does not drain now and will not power on. This washer has been nothing but trouble since purchased. I regret ever getting rid of my old washer. It was dependable. I think this is a sub-standard product and after reading the reviews here, I see that I am not the only person that feels this way. You should not have to have service on such a new product as often as you do on this. I am in good mind to just junk it and go buy a cheap regular washer that I can depend on. I am very frustrated and I am telling everyone that I know to stay away from this product. I have called customer service and left messages, but so far I have not had a return call. The customer service is horrible, too.

After a great deal of research, I learned this refrigerator has the least depth of any other on the market that includes a water dispenser. This is due in part to the fact the ice maker is not contained on the door; the icemaker is contained in the bottom freezer. Yes, you have to scoop out the ice manually, but the depth space savings is worth the trade, and the chilled water dispensed doesn't require ice. Although I initially thought it pricy for a refrigerator, it was my only option for the space in my kitchen. I ordered it on a Sunday evening and it was in my kitchen Wednesday afternoon. I love this stylish and sleek refrigerator!!! While 17 cubic feet may seem small, it is an ideal size for most families. In most cases, the items stored in the back of a refrigerator are forgotten or the space isn't really used anyway. There is so much shelf space that I was able to get more in this refrigerator than my previous larger unit. I was surprised to find that the water filter is not contained within the unit. The filter holder mounts to the wall, or, in my case, an adjacent cabinet, and just the water line attaches to the unit. This perhaps goes with the philosophy of no wasted space in the unit. I opted for a three year extended warranty for just over $100, but I am optimistic I won't need it. I'll update this rating if I have problems with the unit, but so far I have absolutely no regrets.

I used to have a Fisher & Paykel and the reason I was purchasing something is I just remodeled a kitchen in a newer and different house than the one where I had the other one. I got the two-door dishwasher with the tall drawer. Its ugly. I didnt realize it wasnt the same in the front and they ruined the front completely. If I could have sent it back without paying a 25% up charge for returning it, I would have returned it. Im very disappointed. I have the recessed handle, it used to be all stainless steel, now theyve got some junky plastic in the front and thats terrible. I wanted the tall drawer but I assumed it was the same... it looks chintzy. Compared to the rest of my appliances, Im sorry I bought it. I bought it because its great for doing wine glasses although I find that the spot where the wine glasses go is just a slight bit narrower than what I used to have because Im having a little bit more trouble trying to get them into the slot. The dishwasher works just fine. Aesthetically, they ruined it. And I loved my other one. I just think that they didnt do a good job of remodeling it. It doesnt help the people that paid top dollar, I could have had a Bosch which is an equally competent dishwasher or any others and I chose this one because of the fact that I could do a smaller load so theres some wonderful things about it but the look upsets me.

Very dissatisfied with Fisher Paykel. I bought 4 appliances from them totaling over 11,000 dollars. The dishwasher was missing parts and the refrigerator did not work. After 6 weeks of back and forth with the company giving me misinformation and every employee telling me different things to do and making me in charge of lining up appliance service with 4 days needed off of work that resulted in them not replacing a bad refrigerator but saying they would repair. The wheels were also broken with the services which ruined my floor and once they replace the refrigerator they will not guarantee. They do a typical customer service routine, but could care less about the actual customer. My next home would never have their appliances.

We bought a fridge and a gas stove in October 2015. It is a nightmare. The stove does not have a warm temperature, so even at the lowest, everything burns. No clock on the stove to know if the stove has reached the good temperature, or no button either to program cooking time. Nothing, zero, and everything burns. The fridge? Each time you open the freezer door, it makes an awful noise with the plastic roulettes. The service guy said, The noise will go away in time... In time of what??? Very bad service also. PLEASE, DONT BUY FISHER PAYKEL. Waste of money and quality.

I bought a house in the southern part of Virginia and it had old appliances in it and the dishwasher failed. I went to a store that sold all the brands and we were taken by the drawer configuration. We thought that would work well on our kitchen and it has done. I like the fact that I can load pots and pans in the lower drawer and other stuff in the upper drawer and do them all at once. And its just the easier loading feature. I think its a wonderful machine. It washes dishes very well and I have only a few complaints. Its a little awkward getting used to the fact that theres only water coming from below, theres no upper wand so you have to be clever about how you put things in it. And the plastic piece which you grab to open it, both the upper and lower ones have cracked, so theyre just not strong enough for the load that they have to put up with. Daily opening and closing. But outside of that, its been wonderful.

I purchased the washer and dryer I got from Lowe’s. I didn’t particularly want a front load because I had had a bad experience years ago with them. And I also had very limited space in the house. You could not put a front load washer and a front load dryer in the room because there wasn’t enough room to open it. You had to have top load machines to do it. And Fisher & Paykel has the only top load dryer that we could find. It’s more convenient. I would have bought it no matter what because the top load is just easier to load, unload, and everything else. It also emulates commercial ones by rotating into both directions. Considering that I sold the house in Tallahassee and the people who bought it wanted the appliances, I had to buy new ones for my house in Orlando. I’ll buy them again. I think top load dryers, you can’t say the best thing since sliced bread but it’s that type. The top load washer being an eco-efficient approach. We got the rebates on that. And the style in it emulates some very old, standard washing procedures that had been used throughout the centuries. My only problem with the new one we got down here in Orlando, the washer is really sensitive to an unbalanced load. The one in Tallahassee wasn’t as sensitive.

I like the fact that my F&P washer has less parts as a whole, save water due to its sensor technology and efficiency. The best part is it rids of water very well at the spin cycle and save me time in drying. However, in eight years of using the washer, I have to replace two water pumps, and two lids, and now the lid is cracked again. The product might have less parts to be broken down, but the broken parts are always the same ones, do not show this is a product of good quality! I wanted my kitchen redone and they just put it in about a month ago but it’s not done yet, the total kitchen. So I haven’t used it. So I don’t know how it works or anything. There’s a lot of plastic stuff in it and I have a feeling it’s going to break. It’s not made as strong as an ordinary dishwasher is. I would just rate them average because I think one of the little plastic things broke when they put it in. It’s not anything that makes a big difference or anything. That’s not very good.

I purchased a model GWL 15 from Lowes in 2006, along with a top-loading dryer. My wife loves them both, and we have been trouble-free until last evening when the washer would not start and a continuous clicking noise was heard. I found the clicking was caused by the door lock solenoid valve operating, but not holding the locking pin in as it repeatedly energized and then de-energized the solenoid. The door lock light blinked in time with the solenoid. I suspect control board problems, but it is Saturday and I cant get any help. Does anyone know of this problems solution?

In 2008, I purchased a washer/dryer from F&P. The person talked me into an F&P when I really wanted something else. Never hearing about this product, he convinced me it’s the best out there and their biggest seller. Boy, he was wrong! The washer sounds like a jet airplane when it spins. Sometimes, I have to spin them twice to get all the water out. The bearings in the dryer have been replaced 2-3 times, the thermostat, sensor module, and central module. Each time was at least $100 or more for a total of 5-6 times. I contacted a representative and was given a case number. Today, I called because the bearings are going again. I have purchased all these items and they have all malfunctioned just when out of warranty. I believe this is deliberate. The cost of repair is prohibitive to the extent that I have not bothered with the fridge or dryer however the dishdrawer showed an error code saying to call for a technician. I did this only to find that it worked again when the technician came out. I was forced to pay the call out fee for this. Most recently I wanted a new cutlery basket - not of my model but for the most recent one. I called and thought I had ordered the part - what arrived was one piece out of three. I called again and said I had not received all the parts and explained what I needed. I was then sent the same part that I already had again! I then called back and explained the 2 parts (each different) that I needed. I was then sent 2 of the same parts. I then called again and was told they could not work out which part I needed. We agreed I would send a photo and they would call me back when they got the photo. I received no phone call and called back. I was then sent a diagram to look at which I did and I explained which part I needed. I said that my dish drawer was 7 years old and I wanted the basket that came with the new model. I was then told that the part in the photo clipped onto the side of the cutlery basket. I explained that it was actually inserted into the cutlery basket. The man angrily repeated that it clipped onto the side and told me that it was the part I already had and did not need. I said that if read my email he would see that it was actually the part I needed. He then asked me for the serial number of the dish drawer. I said it would not help as the part I wanted actually came with the new model. He repeated angrily that he needed the serial number. I said that it would not help as my serial number was for a seven-year-old model. I said I would like to speak to someone else as he was upsetting me. I was then put on hold for 10 minutes. I then hung up. I rang again and spoke to Customer Care. I explained what had happened and advised that I still needed the part. I was told I would be called back about it. After 3 days I called back to be told that there were notes on the record to say that I had been called back that morning and a message had been left to say that the part would not be provided to me. I was near my phone at the time and there definitely was no call as verified by my phones missed call record. Ive now called again and am on hold - at this stage its been 35:07 minutes... I paid AU $1800 for my dish drawers 7 years ago - hardly a cheap product. My advice to anyone is: dont ever buy this brand. The appliances are designed to break and the after sales customer service is extremely poor. I have been treated with utter disrespect for my time and a complete lack of care for my feelings.

You can feel comfortable setting the temperature, spin cycle, etc. according to the booklet that comes with it and you have TONS of sensors that determine if anything unusual is being laundered. If so, the units automatically reset to take care of things. Both the washer & dryer open on top. These are manufactured in Sweden. While a little pricey, they last without any service calls for a very long time and are extremely reliable. The dryer filter is super easy to remove and clean, so it’s no trouble to clean after each load.

I want to start by saying we are very happy (so far) with the GWL11 Washer. It is 6 years old and 1 year out of extended warranty. I called the local factorys recommended shop on Thursday and Baker Appliance came out the next Monday. He ordered the part for regular delivery. A different repairman returned on Monday, a week later, to replace the electronic control unit. They discovered the wrong part was sent. He said the box had the correct part number on it but the part inside was incorrect. Does this happen a lot?My issue is, he told my wife they would ship the correct part the next day. I called them Tuesday to ask about the part delivery. The girl said she would check and call me back but never did. I left a message on Tuesday night and she called me back Wednesday morning and said she didnt have it yet. I called again and explained what the repairman had said. She asked someone in her office about it. She said they werent told and it would be another $50 for next day shipping. I then gave up.Wouldnt Fisher & Paykel absorb the additional cost if they shipped the wrong part? I spent more than $50 at the laundromat over the last 2 weeks. We have 5 people in our home.

Contacted the Fisher and Paykel Customer Care to repair a 2 year old fridge - no longer working (under warranty). The fridge was removed and taken in for service and a replacement fridge was provided. Our fridge was returned 1.5 weeks later, and we were told it was working. Its not. Contacted the service dept, given the run-around, told it is probably a small repair required and the technician will attend on site - but not for 4 days. Thanks guys. Its 30 degrees out. Love having to deal with a fridge/freezer and 100s of $$ of rotting food.Would have been helpful to at least speak with a manager, or be reassured that given it was their error, or case would be prioritized. Debbie at customer service said nothing can or will be done, was unable to reach a manager, said Josh (the technical supervisor for our area) should get back to us within a day or so. Very reassuring (thats sarcasm). I find it very strange. Dealing with a mistake can be so easy with an apology, acknowledgement, and reassurance. None of which were provided.

We have had a Fisher & Paykel dish drawer for a few years and have been pleased with the dish drawer after we learned some of the nuances of a dish drawer. Recently, we had to replace the rotor. I contacted the company to purchase the rotor and found it was less expensive buying it directly. The company was easy to work with and the item sent quickly. After replacing the rotor, we found there were more problems than we had initially thought. I contacted the authorized repair facility and they also were great to deal with. However, I would like to see other dealers in order to do some price comparisons because we had to pay extra fees on top of the repair bill due to the distance. They also charged quite a lot per hour. The repairman was extremely helpful on teaching me something so I could repair the drawer on my own if I ever had to.The repairman contacted F&P due to some previous poor repairs before we owned the home. F&P offered to pay for the parts, we just had to pay for labor. The repairman repaired the most difficult part that we initially called him about and I was able to order other parts and repair them myself later. The entire experience (although frustrating to be sans a dish drawer) was very easy and in all cases, the parts were cheaper dealing directly with F&P. I will also say it really was great to at least have one drawer to wash dishes while the other was out of commission. The only reason it is 4 stars instead of 5 was due to a shipping error which delayed my order. It would be nice to get an email confirmation regarding what parts are being shipped in order to catch such errors before time is wasted.

We purchased an F&P oven in October 2011. It did not work after installation. Our brand new expensive self-cleaning oven has had constant problems. We have had at least 4 repairs. The oven even failed on Christmas day and ruined our turkey as the oven wouldnt heat up. The techs dont seem to know what was wrong with it but F&P refuses to replace this faulty product. We are now waiting for a new door and F&P review to come out. So we are supposed to lose more work time and use our holiday to wait in for half a day. Customer service is rude and unhelpful. I will never buy F&P again.

We purchased an F&P EcoSmart Washer and Dryer set in 2009. Six months later, the dryer began making high-pitched squeaking noises. We figured it was the design and just covered our ears when drying clothes. The squeaking turned into moaning, and the moaning turned into unbearable metal-on-metal gnashing - its abhorrent. To top it off, the dryer drum has now shifted off of the tracks, meaning that it must be manually forced back onto the tracks and pried open with human hands.Im sick of fighting my dryer for custody of my clothes. I contacted F&P about this last month, and they told me to contact an authorized F&P service company. One hundred dollars an hour to diagnose the problem, plus $100 an hour for repairs, plus parts? No, thanks. Id rather go buy a new Kenmore. Until that lovely day, I ensure everyone who steps foot in my house and hears the travesty in the laundry room knows its a Fisher and Paykel!

I purchased a washer in 2006. It was DOA (dead on arrival) with bad control valve. I replaced it immediately. Since then, we have replaced this valve 3 more times plus pump and control board. The valve went out again today and flooded the laundry room. We are afraid to leave water on since it may never shut off the water flow.

We have been the proud owner of a two-drawer for approximately 9 years. We liked the design so much we bought the dishwasher in another state and transported it to Florida of installation. We have turned a deaf ear on the fact that it is noisy due to the fact that we liked the convenience of it so much. Well, things have started to go wrong with the unit which include losing the backlighting on one of the displays, total breakdown of the plastic trim plates and failure of the drawers to drain. At times, the bottom drawer has in excess of one inch of water after completion of the cycle. The other day, I called the customer service number and spoke to a lovely young lady who attempted to address my concerns, took down all of my identifying information and advised me that she would attempt to obtain some sort of assistance for me toward the purchase of a new dishwasher. My wife and I agreed that based on the age of the unit, it is probably not worth the expense of having a repair person visit, diagnose the problem and obtain all the parts that would be needed to get it running and make it look good again. To my dismay, I called back today, provided all of my identifying information and learned that my call was not on file and therefore, nothing had been done on my issue. What a shame because even though these units do not get great reviews in the United States, my wife and I were willing to take another chance on a new one instead of buying a conventional one. We had had a pretty good experience with our unit and are just hoping we can get some assistance, as these dishwashers are very expensive. I would think that a company with the good reputation of Fisher and Paykel would want to ensure that their customers are satisfied for the life of the appliance. I am getting the feeling that they are really not interested in helping me at all!

I purchased the EcoSmart washing machine from Sears 2.5 years ago. The water pump/drain malfunctioned causing the electronics to short out. After consulting with a repairman, I was informed that the pump will be $200 plus $160 for the electronic portion, add another $50 for taxes and shipping and at least $100 for labor. Of course, the warranty is no longer applicable and apparently this problem is very consistent with other users. After reading the other reviews, I realize how bad this situation is quickly becoming.

I purchased the FP Eco washer and dryer at Lowes on 5-12-09. The washer died yesterday after only 4 years. I was told by the salesman that FP was a superior product and I especially liked the ECO features as I am environmentally conscious. To call a serviceman and pay $100s in repairs is not worth it. I may as well buy a new washer. So much for ECO friendly as my FP washer will now wind up in a dump. FP washer was a total waste of money. This time, Ill buy another Maytag. My last one lasted 10 years.

I own Fisher & Paykel dishdrawers. I recently purchased their laundry. It has one of the best designs out there and its unfortunate that they get a bad rap a lot of times, a lot of people dont know how to use them properly and that explains a lot of negative reviews. But theyre one of the best cleaning ability with the washer, and the dryer is a top load dryer which economically is the best thing out there. I had back surgery so I come from a place of ease and I love it.

I have a Fisher Paykel washer and dryer that’s a little over 3 years old. The washing machine agitator broke, and it wouldnt drain water. Now it is fixed, but it doesnt even really clean the clothes and doesnt spin the water out like advertised. The dryer is junk. We have had a certified Fisher Paykel repair man try to fix it twice. It took a while for the part to come in, and then it didnt fix the problem. I just recently replaced the bearing assembly, and it still sounds like the dryer is going to literally take off through the ceiling. I have contacted customer service, only to have the wrong part sent to me. When I called to let them know they sent the wrong part, I was told that the part I needed would cost me an additional $50 dollars. I cant express how upset I am that I paid the money for this set when the washer and dryer were under warranty; it probably should have just been replaced. The customer service always had some crazy solution or excuse! I will never recommend this brand to anyone. I would rather hand wash and dry my clothes than to have to listen to the loud, ridiculous noises that come from the washer and dryer. I dont understand how a company can sell something and not even bother to warranty or care about their product or their customers! Company failure!

We had the ice maker replaced, then we had sensors replaced. To get parts for a F & P refrigerator it takes FOREVER! This is the worst appliance purchase that I have ever made, and dealing with Lowes lemon laws, etc. has been a nightmare. With everything replaced, the ice maker will make approximately 2 trays of ice every 24 hours. This is not enough for anybody. Additionally we have had problems with the temps in the fridge. Fisher Paykel washer debacle - For the fourth time in seven years, the entire logic control board has gone out. I had a Kenmore washer from Sears for 25 years and never had a hitch. Whats wrong with these foreign engineers? They cant seem to figure out US power. Each time the board went out, we waited at least three months to get parts and repairs! What kind of service is that? Now that it is off warranty, I am throwing it in the dump with all the other Fisher Paykel land fill appliances. What a waste of money, time and energy this has been. I feel like Im saving water because Im not choosing a larger load size unnecessarily. When we went to the store to buy a new unit, the appliance salesman was telling us 6 to 8 years is more typical for newer machines (our previous washing machine lasted 25 years). My husband especially wanted something really high quality that would last. This particular salesman who actually is the owner of the store said he owned a Fisher & Paykel and that it would be the highest quality brand that they carry that would last the longest.

Over the course of three years we have had 6 service calls on the Fisher Paykel dish drawer dishwasher. The hoses crack and water has leaked onto my wood floor causing damage 3 times. Another time, the electric board needed replacing, and just two weeks ago the entire magnet and inner workings on the top drawer need to be replaced. The total cost of this last repair is $600. Before this current dishwasher, we owned the first generation Fisher Paykel dish drawer. It was as horrible as our current one. There is absolutely no customer service or help from Fisher Paykel. They blame every defective part and problem on the water, or detergent, or operator error etc. Do not ever buy a Fisher Paykel unless you have piles of money and time lying around. I cant believe the money we have wasted over the years on these subpar pieces of trash. I refuse to fix it again. I am throwing it out and getting a Bosch.

The other day, my husband was doing laundry and part-way through the load, the washer started beeping and stopped working. He then called the customer support center and got the name of the Fisher Paykel dealer here in town to see how much it would cost to get it serviced. While he was on the phone with the customer support rep, he was told that based on the lights that were showing up it was an error code 346, but was not told what that meant. This morning we called to see what it would cost to have someone come out just to look at the washer and were told he would cost $75! I think that is a large fee, considering we live in the same town less than a mile away. Today, I was looking online and read that the warranty was usually around 2 years. Im sure our washer wasnt 2 years old, so I called the customer support number myself, after taking down the model number, to find out if the washer was still under warranty. The guy on the phone was not able to tell me if the washer was under warranty or not. He didnt even offer to take down the serial number to see when the washer was made, but told me to call the store we purchased it from to see if they still have a record of when the purchase was made. We purchased this washer from Sears and shortly after we bought it, they stopped selling this brand. What should we do if they do not have a copy of the receipt? I dont even think our bank records go back any further than a year online. I have searched to see if I could find the transaction, but have not been able to. I would hate to buy a new washer after only owning this one for less than 2 years, and really dont want to pay $75 just to have someone look at it and then pay for repairs on top of it.

I purchased an AquaSmart washer and AeroSmart dryer by Fisher Paykel about 8 years ago. Out of the box the dryer had issues with the lid rubbing the drum. I called for service from a list of repairmen given to me by FP. Not a single person EVER called me back despite repeated calls and messages. I guess this might have been my first clue that even the repair guys wanted nothing to do with these machines. Finally, my husband shimmed the lid with a screw and this seemed to take care of the issue. Recently a bearing went out and prior to that the heat sensor. This week the washer has water dripping into it which from what I have read has something to do with the valve inlet and is about a $200 fix, if we DIY. I have had scum, I think is the term, on my clothes despite running the cleaning cycle every other month and rigidly measuring my detergent. Needless to say I am currently washer shopping. My husband has threatened to drag the washer behind his truck until its destroyed. He absolutely refuses to put another cent into either of these lemons.

I recently purchased a Fisher & Paykel DishDrawer via the internet. It was delivered via a special trucking company. I paid an additional sum of money for it to be delivered by a special trucking company, unpacked from the box, brought into my kitchen and inspected (as opposed to the unit being drop shipped to my front yard). It arrived in perfect condition. I hired a licensed plumber to install it. While installing the unit, the plumber reported the kick-plate was missing. Then I noticed there were small cracks/marks in the cutlery bins - an obvious product defect. After running the top drawer of the DishDrawer, water started profusely leaking from the bottom of DishDrawer’s top drawer. I had the plumber return to check all the connections, which he confirmed were connected tightly and properly. The leak was coming from the DishDrawer, not from the connections. I called Fisher & Paykel’s customer care and was told that since I purchased my DishDrawer via the internet, they would not honor my warranty! They said the trucking company was responsible for the missing parts and damage (leaking issue). After holding on the phone for 3 hours, I was transferred to the USA supervisor Paul who said if/when an authorized service technician inspects the leaking issue and determines that it is unrelated to delivery, Fisher & Paykel would honor my warranty. Then Paul insisted that I send him a photo of the cracked cutlery bins before even considering replacing them. I emailed him a photo of the damage two days ago and there’s still no response. He said the kick-plate was already being sent to me (but nothing was received yet). I then had a local authorized service technician come to look at the dish and he determined that the leaking was totally unrelated to the delivery of the unit, but it was instead a product defect and that it should be covered under the 100% manufacturer’s warranty. He advised Fisher & Paykel of this. That was two days ago. Today, Fisher & Paykel told the service technician that they are still having issues with honoring my warranty due to the purchase being via the internet. Fisher & Paykel has confirmed that the unit is a genuine Fisher & Paykel unit and the serial number was accepted upon registration, but Fisher & Paykel claims that any internet purchases are questionable and Fisher & Paykel to this date has refused to honor my warranty. I tried to call the USA supervisor Paul this morning and was told he was on the telephone and would return my call in 5 to 10 minutes. That was three hours ago and there’s still no phone call! I am frustrated and very angry. How could Fisher & Paykel refuse to honor the warranty on their unit after confirming the problem is a product defect? They call their customer service line customer care - what care are they speaking of? There is no care whatsoever! They are the absolute worst when it comes to customer service. If Fisher & Paykel refuses to honor my warranty, I plan on reporting them to every possible consumer complaint agency and will seek additional remedies to the full extent of the law.

They came this morning and replaced a water valve but confirmed the bottom draw was in perfect working order. $180 later, valve replaced and told all good. Load the dish draw tonight after dinner and go to turn on. No power to either draw. I think the service tech must have turned off at the power point. No it is on. We connect to another power source. Still no power. I call F and P after hours number. Eventually a very unhelpful and non caring Leah tells me the earliest appointment to attend is Monday next week.We have Christmas at our home this weekend and cannot be without a dishwasher. Surely we would be a priority as it was working before they attended. I was put on hold abruptly for 12 minutes, and then had another staff member say that there would be no refund and I had to have a booking for the new problem. They would try for tomorrow but no guarantee. I now have to take a second day off work, have no dishwasher at all for the Christmas party, and if I am lucky I might not have to pay for them to fix their own mistake. Shame shame shame on you F&P. I purchased a Fisher Paykel dishwasher 6 months ago. I took out a store credit card and paid it off in 6 mo. The last time I turned the dishwasher on it started flashing and did not work, and then turned completely shut off, never to turn on again. I am not on week 7 -without a working dishwasher, I have spent countless hours calling fisher Paykel, at first they sent a repairman out asap, only because they tried to say it would take 1 week, I said that was unacceptable - he came the next day, only to tell me that he needed a part, came back 1 week later. My husband called me and told me the dishwasher could not be fixed and that it would need to be replaced. One week went by, I called the customer service number, on hold for 40 minutes. I was told the new dishwasher request had been denied. It took hours to get the supervisor Richard to call me back. He said he did not know why it had been denied, though I was told he was the person who denied it and he said that he would order me a new dishwasher, that he was a consumer and understood how things went wrong in this day and age. A few days later I heard from the appliance store where I bought the dishwasher and was told it would take 1-2 weeks. It has now been over 2 weeks, so I called this morning, on hold for 40 minutes, spoke w/ Cindy. She said I would be updated today. I called Richard 2 days prior and left him a message the next day too, never returned my call. Today he called me, I missed his call, emailed me he was in meetings and unreachable. Did not hear from Fisher Paykel, so I called the appliance store. They told me Fisher Paykel said the dishwasher was sent to be there on July 23. Today is July 28, and it is not there. We have a problem, not like Fisher Paykel has noticed. I called Fisher Paykel around 4pm, got through immediately, spoke w/ Cindy. She said that I was not speaking to her in a nice way. I explained how frustrating it has been dealing w/ her company and nobody follows through. She said she was going to follow up w/ Richard and get back to me. Never heard from her. This is has been a horrible experience - I have wasted countless hours on this issue. I am still without a dishwasher and am shocked at the horrible customer service. This is a very expensive appliance. I expected so much more. We purchased F&P fridge and stove in November 2009 and have been having issues with both since the very beginning (which is not surprising, judging from this site). The purpose of this review is to give our feedback regarding the service weve been getting from local authorized dealers and support they get from the company. No matter what, do not buy any products from Fisher & Paykel! Trying to get their appliances fixed is even more frustrating than finding out that your appliance broke down after only a few months of service. Prepare to wait for weeks and dont be surprised if the problem reoccurs within days or hours of the fix. Then, wait a few more weeks. There is no urgency, no ownership, no pride. I dont believe the company cares. Did you read their responses to customer complaints? They sound like a broken record. At this point, we are seriously considering throwing both fridge and stove out and buy something else. It cant be worse, can it? What a waste of money.

Before ordering, please check that the delivery company will be able to get the appliance in your kitchen. I ordered an American fridge freezer, but when it arrived they could not get it into my kitchen. The delivery boys were lovely and they said they could probably get it in, if the doors and drawer were removed, but they could not find a way to remove the drawer. I called Fisher and Paykel and they could not help either and suggested that I just took doorstep delivery and work the rest out for myself! Very disappointing, so to avoid disappointment yourselves, please check this out before you order. Incidentally, I live in a detached house with standard size openings.

We have a GWL12 top-loading washer. I will start off by saying my wife and I love the washer and dryer we have, but we are not loving it so much these days. We have had the controller board go out for the third time and its getting very costly. I will say Fisher Paykel did step up to the plate on the first one, but the second was on me, and now I have yet another dead washer. I have been all up and down these forums and had seen nothing but bad reviews when it comes to these controller boards. These boards are $150 a pop. This last one only lasted 2 years. I had to go buy an older, used washer just to keep the washing going. But I still have hopes of fixing this washer one last time. Dont get me wrong, its a really good washer when its running. I have seen bad reviews on the GWL11 and GWL12 for this problem. I hope things are improving over there. These are too expensive of washers to break down like this. Sorry for the rant.

I bought the dryer Model E7027PICAO Aug 2013. Not happy with the front load machine, very pleased with the top load model. The lint trap is useless. Lint adheres to the door and must be removed before you take the laundry from the dryer or lint adheres to clothing. Every time the unit is unplugged or power goes off, it continues to run forever. No heat and the only way to shut it down is to turn off the breaker.

I bought what I thought was a new model, an Aqua Smart WL-37, from the Warehouse Discount Center (WDC) on 5-16-11. I also bought an extended four-year warranty. The WL-37 failed less than three months later (8-10-11). It made a loud noise, and it went dead. No power. I called WDC for help, and they gave us a list of contractors. It turned out none of them travel to our town in Fillmore. This is even though when you first call the contractor, they say,” sure we will go to Fillmore”. However, once they try and locate us on a map, they thought it was “Sylmar”, not Fillmore.Anyway, we finally called P&K customer service. They also gave me a list of contractor folks who would go to Fillmore. I guess the good customer service representatives at Fisher and Paykel’s dont have good English skills, as they also gave us a list of contractors who go to Sylmar, not Fillmore. Finally, I got one who actually came to the house after a ten day delay. When the technician came inside, he asked me for the original sales receipt. The folks at Fisher & Paykel had no proof of sale, and because the WL37 is not the current model. I had a broken ankle and could not go upstairs to pull the receipt, even though I showed the technician the four-year extended warranty with a sale date of June, 2011, it was not good enough. So back to finding contractors who would go to Sylmar… err… Fillmore. Finally, I found one. Again, after another week lag they showed up on August 29. By this time, I was smart, and registered my unit on the Fisher & Paykel website, so the unit was verified under warranty. The technician came in and looked at the washer. He said it needed a new power board. He left his card, and said he would order it that day. Another eleven days have gone by, and I have heard nothing. This is despite leaving several messages to the technician and his store. I just finished contacting Fisher & Paykel customer service via its website customer care inquiry. Hopefully, they will contact me soon.

I have a washer and dryer set that I have had for a few years. It has not been anything but trouble since I have had them. The washer has been worked on twice and once the repairman left off a hose and water filled my floor and messed up some of my flooring. Then the dryer had been worked on two or three times and right now it sounds like the whole drum is about to come out. I am tired of having to call a repairman to take care of problems. I tried to tell the people that I bought it from that I thought it was a lemon from the get go, because I had not had it maybe 1 month when it had to be worked on the first time. I would not recommend anyone to buy your products, because I have been very disappointed with your products. I still say that I have a lemon and that I should have been given another one in the beginning. That is what happens when you buy a lemon automobile. Appliances cost too much these days to have to keep having them repaired, because the average person nowadays have been cut back in their pay checks and are not able to afford repair bills.

Purchased a 8kg Wash Smart washing machine in 2020, leaking water from front of the door, not the seal. Tech assessed and left without fixing the issue, now it is leaking from the drawer and they are saying non warrantable. Poor response, over an hour spent on the phone and now we are getting told it will be another 2 weeks before they will come back out. Advised they will give me tips on washing.... hmm mother of 4, last machine lasted 10 years with no issues. Still in warranty, poor service, unreliable product!

I had just purchased a brand new F&P dish drawer from a local PC Richards store. No less than 3 days, I needed to call for service. I spent quite a bit of money on this unit and was excited to finally be able to experience all of the features this dish drawer had to offer the consumer. Its so sad to say that I was let down by the company. When I called F&P Customer Service line, I had to wait on hold for almost 30 minutes to finally talk to someone. They seemed like it was all my fault which made me even more angrier. Nevertheless, PC Service came and it still is not working 100%. I will probably try and return it and go with a better known brand. I wouldnt recommend this brand to anyone looking for reliable dishwasher.

The Fisher Paykel dual drawer dishwasher is an excellent new example of high quality and performance in a kitchen dish washing appliance. The dual drawer is engineered wonderfully to provide multiple ways to perform, and perform it does! The two drawers provide flexibility beyond a normal/standard design. The loading capabilities are different yet provided with a lot of forethought given to providing space. It utilizes much more of the actual inside space of the two drawer/washers. Once you understand the loading capabilities of the provided inside racks and adjustment capabilities, the loading capabilities are creative and useful. Three simple buttons on the outside of each drawer provide easy execution of functions. The dual washers are extremely easy to start, stop or pause at any time, using the three simple buttons. The system has various wash cycles and times all easily accessed and executed by another single button conveniently located inside either drawers top edge. A small LED lit screen on each drawer face provides a moving icon that lets the user know have knowledge of what stage of a cycle the wash drawer is executing. The LED also shows the cycle time duration working backwards from a start time to the finish of the cycle. The Fisher Paykel system is very quiet working washer. Yes, you can hear some functions executing some times during the cycle, but it is very quiet overall. Most importantly, the Fisher Paykel Dual Washing system cleans and shines dishes, glassware and utensils with precision to a sparkling bright clean. This is especially true if the user does not allow large amounts of food to enter the system. Pre-rinsing is any dishwashers best friend! Use this kitchen appliance/tool correctly, and you will have a great dish washing experience with this product. By far, the Fisher Paykel Dual Dish Washing system is the highest quality, best working, and easy to use dish washing appliance I have ever had in any of my kitchens. I highly recommend the Fisher Paykel Dual Drawer Dish Washing Appliance/System for any kitchen.

We bought a F&P washer and dryer a couple of years ago and have had trouble since day one! We have spent several hundred dollars in repairs with much frustration! The washer went first. Of course, it was my fault because a dime was left in pants pocket by accident and sent the whole machine into a tailspin! With conventional machines, that wouldnt have been an issue! Then, the fins on the rotator broke off and was cutting into my clothes as I washed them! Then, bearings went out on my dryer and ruined 2 loads of clothes with black grease before I realized what it was! Now, 2 weeks ago, element and thermostat had to be repaired after a week of laundry piled up! I still have the bill for over $200. I havent even had a chance to pay yet and now the lint bucket is stuck! Seems like it should be an easy thing to fix but with all of the smarts of the machine, its probably something to do with electronics not releasing it. I am so disappointed in these products. Something big would have to happen to make me ever buy another F&P product! I had a good ole Maytag washer and dryer before and used it for many, many years with no issues. My husband wanted me to upgrade, now I wish I hadnt given my Maytags away as they are still working great for my son who had just bought his first home!

The refrigerator is exceptionally quiet and fits neatly into the cabinetry designed for an apartment sized unit. Like the 100s of complaints I have just read about F&P clothes dryers mine is no different. Actually, compared to others Im feeling lucky that mine has lasted 6 years before a drum bearing has failed. My issue is two fold:1) After contacting customer service they were totally satisfied with six years and considered it a good run. I, however, am not satisfied with six years since my Maytag lasted 28 years and the only reason I gave it up was for styling reasons. I gave the dryer to a young married couple to use. It might still be running for all I know. F&P were more than happy to sell me, at full retail price, a bearing kit.2) After seeing the 100s of complaints and reading the companies stock response (which is not helpful at all), I am left wondering what the results were and how did the company satisfy the complaint.I have ordered the part from the company ($73.30 plus shipping) and hopefully this will solve my squeaking issue. I wished I had seen this complaint board before I purchased an F&P product. It really makes we wonder how F&P can stay in business.

Fisher Paykel is horrible! I paid top dollar and I mean TOP dollar for Fisher and Paykel appliances. The dishwasher is noisy compared to Bosch, the cooktop on the range was defective TWICE and the range had to be replaced. I had a spill on Christmas day and it got between the glass on the oven door and there is no way to clean it. The microwave is no better than the Panasonic Genius if as good. (Not nearly the versatility) but so far the refrigerator seems OK. Stay away from this Premium Product. You are throwing your money away!

I have a dishwasher which is over 20 years old. I paid $142 for technician to come out & he didnt have parts so no repair done on that day. Waited a couple of weeks for parts. Technician returned & broke insert handle while taking off this part. Technician told me as dishwasher was old, it fell to bits but I wouldnt have to pay for these extra parts. I then heard nothing from F&P re further repair, emailed twice, called twice & I finally got a response & was told that F&P had parts but I had to pay for part technician broke.I called Consumer Affairs & they advised that under section 60 F&P could not charge me for extra parts. Bob ** from F&P called today & advised that F&P are not liable & unless I paid, they would not fix my dishwasher. I asked for a refund of initial service fee & was told this would not occur, but they were willing to sell me a new dishwasher & take $142 off cost. I now have to pay an extra $95.49 for extra parts. I would not recommend their service and will not buy an F&P product again, as they are not willing to stand by their products no matter how old they are.

I meant to write you sooner about this but kept putting it off for two yrs. now. First, I had problems with the washer and the control panel. It was fixed over and over all during the warranty phase, but when the warranty ran out, it was suggested I purchase a new one which I did. Its fine now. The Dryer on the other hand is still a problem. It first quit drying. I had it repaired to the tune of $200+. New parts had to be installed. Then it became very noisy, shaking the whole house. I have had someone out twice and here I am again, listening the the noise. Its the ball bearings, I believe. They put in new parts but its still the same thing. Can you please recommend a knowledgeable washer/dryer service out in this area? Thank you.

We are on our second refrigerator from Fisher & Paykel. FP replaced the first one after one year of constant problems, frustrations and technicians repairing it. We had the new one for one week and a part just fell off the interior of the door so it would no longer self close on one side. After 2 years, we got an error code for fan failures which, according to the manual, was highly unlikely to ever happen. Repair man came out and replaced the fans. One month later, I noticed the upper fridge area was not very cold, so I adjusted the setting towards colder. A few days later, my husband opened the freezer and ice had accumulated everywhere. We inspected the door seal and all around the drawers and nothing was blocking or preventing the door from shutting. Repair man came back out, inspected the seals as well and determined it was from a leak somewhere in the back of the unit. FP said we were most likely at fault for leaving the door open. Not true! They said we should unplug the unit, remove all food and let defrost for 24 hours. Repair man said that would be such a huge mess and inconvenience for something that will just recur again. I called FP back and got the usual run around with their terrible customer service people. I have wasted so much of my time dealing with Fisher and Paykel. I just want my money refunded so I can buy a product from a reliable company.

THIS IS THE ONLY DISHWASHER I'LL EVER BUY. A 2 drawer dishwasher is very civilized... 2 completely independent running drawers that clean very well. Next renovation in a $2M condo I put in same dishwasher and a FP Washer and Ventless Dryer. I could not be happier. Never any service problems, cosmetically beautiful, and nice ergonomics. However, the cold water dispenser is not dispensing ice water. The water is at 62.5 degrees Fahrenheit. That is the same temperature of the water from the tap. I bought a new Fisher & Paykel (FP) washer and dryer at Lowes in April 2007. The washer worked well until December 2009. I had the same problem many others had, discharge pump leaked and shorts out the pump, and that in turn shorts out the control board for the washer. To their credit, after I called them, FP took care of the repair of the pump and the control board in December of 2009.Trouble is, it just happened again. A year and a half later the discharge pump and the control board are out again. I called FP and was told they would not fix it again. Well, me neither. Rather than pay $400 to fix it again, I am getting a new washing machine that is not Fisher & Paykel. While shopping at one of the big box stores, I was told by one of the appliance guys that they stopped selling FP washers for a time because of guess what? pump and control board problems.

My washing machine beeped on Tuesday and I followed the directions in the users manual to try to correct the problem. In the meantime the control panel was burnt out because the drain pump was broken. I called the repairman and he came on the following Tuesday and did not have a drain pump to install because they had just used the last one. I am guessing that there have been a lot of problems with Fisher and Paykel drain pumps. If I would not have tried to correct the problem, I possibly would not have burnt out the control panel. It is costing me $352 to repair the machine. I had ordered a brand new one, the same as what I had and I could have had it delivered on New Years Eve. I slept on it and cancelled the order because I thought I would be saving $300. The repairman said that they have replaced many control panels but Fisher & Paykel have corrected the problem by adding a fuse that will not cause the control panel to burn out. I would have hoped this would have been a product recall and saved a lot of people time and money. I really like my Fisher and Paykel machine but I am disappointed with the product not being recalled if you knew it was faulty. I would hope that I could be reimbursed some of the cost for the repair. The repairman was very knowledgeable and helpful.

Horrible, horrible machine. I purchased a washer in 2007. The diverter valve had to be replaced within one year. Next, the pump failed; water leaked everywhere and shorted out the computer. We waited several weeks for replacement part. That pump failed as well. Another new pump was replaced in March 2011, and now the machine is leaking again. The water is coming from the pump. We called F&P customer service, and after discussing our problems with F&P, we were shocked to learn that you cant use bleach in these machines. To me this seems like someone selling a lawn mower that cannot cut grass. I will never buy an F&P product again. Ive read F&Ps responses on this site, and their responses are wholly unsatisfactory. Sure machines will need maintenance and repair, but I think a machine is inherently defective when its cost of repairs exceeds the purchase price within a short period of time.

Refrigerator model #E522BLX - I bought this fridge 4 years ago from SEARS Canada because my 35 year old never repaired Amana fridge suddenly broke down. I had a problem finding a fridge that would fit in the space built around the Amana and wasnt in a position to renovate the kitchen to accommodate a new fridge. I didnt know anything about the Fisher Paykel brand, and unfortunately, relied on the Sears appliance specialists knowledge and honesty.I was advised that the fridge had a very good 5 year warranty and excellent customer service and Sears would also stand behind the brand should anything go wrong. I bought it because it was the only fridge, at the time, that could fit in the space and I paid about $2,000 for it. Well 2 months ago the fridge started to make a noise that sounded similar to the noise I heard when my Amana fridge broke down. That was related to a compressor problem. The noise has steadily worsened and its driving me up a wall.I found out from Sears Canada that they no longer carry the Fisher Paykel brand (I wonder why) and therefore cant provide me with any service. When I contacted the FP customer service # I was directed to someone in New Zealand and I quickly concluded that their so called excellent customer service was totally false. I further learned that the fridge I bought has been discontinued (I wonder why). The extent of their assistance was to provide me with service repair contacts in the U.S. Anyone I contacted in Toronto is unwilling to service the model. It is now Christmas and I am now out of a fridge and $2000. FP doesnt give a damn. Although they did not outwardly admit it but I think they knew that there was an embedded defect with their fridge and therefore discontinued it without advising customers like me.There should have been a recall notice and offer to replace the model or at least make some effort to repair problems without costing the customer big bucks and aggravation. Do not ever buy anything manufactured by Fisher Paykel. And dont buy any appliance from Sears. Their appliance specialists are not specialists and are trained only to make a sale at the customers risk. They will not ensure that: your satisfaction continues long after your initial purchase. This is the statement that they include in their brochure.
