The Buick Enclave is a mid / full-size three-row crossover SUV launched in 2007 for 2008 model year. The Enclave, the Saturn Outlook, the GMC Acadia, and the Chevrolet Traverse all share the GM Lambda platform. The Enclave was previewed at the 2006 North American International Auto Show, officially as a concept car, making it the first Lambda vehicle to be displayed. The Enclave is partially based on the Buick Centieme concept shown at the 2003 Detroit Auto Show. The Enclave is positioned somewhere between mainstream and entry-level luxury brands. That means it's more expensive than models such as the Chevrolet Traverse (which it's related to) and the Honda Pilot but not as expensive as an Acura MDX or Audi Q7. The Enclave replaced both of Buick's SUVs, the minivan-based Rendezvous and the truck based Rainier, as well as the Terraza minivan. In 2014, the Enclave was the top-ranked "Affordable Midsize SUV" in U.S. News and World Report. The second generation Enclave was officially revealed at the 2017 New York Auto Show.

I recently ordered and Purchased a Camaro. Unfortunately I was in car accident, therefore I had to have my new camaro repaired. I took it to a chevy dealership to have all the repairs done. Three weeks ago the dealership ordered black rally stripe decals to go on the hood of the Camaro. The dealership still has not had an expected date of arrival from GM on when the stripes will arrive. I could have had my car back three weeks ago all completed. I do not understand why it takes this long to make black rally stripes that goes on the hood of a Camaro and have them shipped to the proper place in a timely manner.

It is pretty bad when you have been to the service department so many times they know you by name. Started with cam shafts sensor then it was rear main seal then gas leak. Next visit was pistons rods water pump timing chain, and minors between. The service dept at McDaniel Motors have been great. Other than they had my car so long I had to take back my loaner and get another one. I am not happy with this vehicle (2012 Equinox). If someone would have told me this vehicle is known to use a lot of oil I would not have purchased it. I paid a high price for this vehicle I expect it to stand up to its price. Has not happened.

I purchased a 2013 GMC Sierra new and always had the truck serviced at the selling dealer. Last Oct. my drivers side door handle came off in my hand. This has never happened to me with any vehicle I ever owned, and I have owned many. Colonial GMC in Charlottesville, Va. was my selling dealer so I went there and requested it be replaced under the extended warranty that I purchased good for 100,000 miles. Was told it wasnt covered under that warranty and had to pay to have it replaced. Bill was in excess of $300. Ok, paid and moved on.4 months later another door handle broke off on the rear door and was even being used much. Thinking this was an unusual I researched this problem and to my surprise realized these door handles have been breaking on Silverados and Sierras routinely, but to date GM has not had a recall or a TSP for this problem. Contacted GM and they told me I would receive a callback to resolve the issue. 3 days later I got a call from the dealer telling me I was out of luck, they would not do anything unless I paid the full price. Ok, I thought, I paid $63000 for a truck and they wont help with a door handle. I bought and $40 to install it. Bottom line is I will go back to buying a Ford or Dodge, had good service from them. Done with GM for a $17 door handle.

Tried to get GM (Chevy) to take care of rusted cross member. Was told that I am a few years late and that it is on me. This would be close to $1000. Other consumers have complained in regard to the rusting. And Chevy is aware of this issue. Chevrolet issued a bulletin that alerts owners of 1999-2004 model year Chevrolet Trackers of the possibility that some of the front suspension crossmember did not receive adequate corrosion protection. If this occurs, may notice steering looseness, vehicle pulls to one side, front end noises (clunk, bang, rattle, etc) vehicle shaking, or steering wheel rotation when shifting from reverse to drive and drive to reverse.Corrosion may progress over time until the front lower control arm bracket separates from the crossmember.. If this condition occurs on your 1999-2004 Chevrolet Tracker within 10 years of the date that the vehicle was originally placed in service, or 150,000 miles, whichever occurs first, the condition will be repaired at no charge. This should have been a full recall, not a silent one. Shame on you GM or Chevy whatever your name is. I dont give a hoot how old it is, this needs to be corrected. My children will sue GM or Chevy, whatever your name is. If I die in twisted wreckage, thanks for nothing.

I purchased a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu LS in 2011. l loved the car at first sight. A few weeks after purchase, notice that the transmission would jerk at certain miles per hour, and fluctuate at certain speeds and when the cruise control is engaged, it fluctuates also hmmmm... So I called GM in April of 2012, had them look up my warranty and they said I was in luck. My power train was still in effect WOW. Was so happy to hear that so I took my car to the local Saturn Cadillac hummer dealership which also was owned by GM back then. They kept my car overnight and have me a rental. I was so happy.Called them up the next afternoon, car wasnt ready. Called them the next morning, they told me they didnt see anything wrong and said I can come and pick up the car. They told me the car is running as design hmm.. I wasnt satisfied with that answer so I took it to Ed Morse Chevrolet, a next dealership that doesnt know whats wrong with my car. First they told me it was the solenoid. They have me a rental that happens to have the same engine and transmission and that car drove perfectly, so a few days later I picked the car up. That next day, I notice the car was still doing the same thing. I misunderstood my warranty statement, also it said 100k or September 14 2013. Silly me, I thought it was my option lol, so before all of that occurred I was back and forth with this dealership.GM and GM customer service specialist who in my opinion is a waste of time, it took them after my warranty expires to diagnose my car with a bad torque converter which GM would split the bill with me. OK that was $850 dollars. Wow. I was furious it took me and GM 2 weeks to come to a conclusion that I would have to pay half so I saved up my portion, took the car over there and they didnt want to give me a rental and I just had a baby girl. I was furious and still am. OK I left the car over there for three days, picked it up and the car was still doing the same thing and just three weeks ago they told me they want to keep the car for another 24 hours, thats 3 working days. Ive had enough. I talked to another GM dealership. They told me that Ed Morse should of had recommended the new transmission since they dont repair they replace the issue should have been corrected. They quoted me over $3500 for a new transmission with installation, but according to them if I can get GM to give me a deductible cost for over $1400, that sounds good but I thought about it. Why should I pay when I was trying to get them to fix my car for 2 years? Im gonna sue this dealership in a few weeks, wish me luck. Going to the judge, will see things my way and see the incompetence and lack of respect that has for their customer! Cant put order number, dont know which one to put got like three of them.

Highly dissatisfied and frustrated GM and my local dealership, Randy Marion
Highly dissatisfied and frustrated GM and my local dealership, Randy Marion Chevrolet, for attempts to dodge repairing a known problem with my 2012 Chevy Equinox for excessive oil consumption. Ive bought probably a dozen or more GM vehicles over the past 20+ years (3 in my driveway now) and I dont ever want to see the service department at Randy Marion Chevrolet again, or own another GM vehicle. Im that upset. I posted my full complaint at carcomplaints.com (2012 Equinox engine problems -- excessive oil consumption) to warn other people who might want to buy an Equinox or deal with this dealership. Service department as well as GM Customer Service is not to be trusted and uses any excuse to avoid fixing a known problem with this vehicle, despite a letter from GM saying what the problem is and what the fix is.GM seems to communicate with the dealership and back them up in their ridiculousness and go against their own letter stating they know the car has a problem and what the proper fix is. Been going back and forth with them since March over an issue with excessive oil consumption in my car, and still no fix. Ive put another 15,000 miles on my car that is frequently low or not even registering oil. No one should have to repeatedly prove that their car is consuming excessive amounts of oil. Ive had them document it at least 5 or maybe 6 times and because my car needed a new timing chain at the end of this long oil consumption test process they tell me I have to start everything over again.Letter clearly says its a piston ring problem and they know about it. Common sense is out the window here. Very disappointed at their efforts to delay fixing my car when they know its consuming oil. Concerned about how much damage is being done to my engine. Read my story on carcomplaints.com and be warned! GM does not stand behind their vehicles anymore, and I wont support them any longer.

2011 Silverado Duramax Diesel - LTZ. After paying the extreme price for this truck GM threw out to the public with a bad DEF system, among other problems, they should be ashamed. When you complain about this inferior product, GM does nothing but throws you a bone to buy another GM product!! Not back up their product by extending the warranty you already paid for.. Shame on you GM. You waved the flag of a America built product. After being a loyal customer all my 60 years, standing by you while others put out a good product, this is how I get treated. Ive had my (purchased brand new in 2016) 2015 GMC Sierra held hostage at the local dealership for a total of 38 days so far while GMC makes up their mind to replace or completely rebuild the transmission. The decision has been made to rebuild so I can expect it to be in at least another couple weeks while parts are ordered. Huge inconvenience for my family as we had to cancel a family vacation which required the truck to tow our travel trailer. So far the truck has had 4-5 recalls and warranty replacement of the A/C unit and a radiator. The dealership Shop Manager told me GMC does not care about their customers if they can save themselves a few dollars. This will be the last GM product myself and my business will be purchasing. Go with Toyota if you want a quality product and service. I should never have made the switch. Shame on you GMC...

GM customer care and service department are awful. On May 20th, I purchased a 2016 Camaro 2SS with 2700 miles on it. By May 30th it was acting up and in the shop for warranty work. It is now June 16th, and the dealership still has my car. And that is GMs fault. After a week the dealership was stumped and began requesting assistance from GM. After two weeks of still being stumped, the dealership began requesting a field engineer, since they had not been able to diagnose the issue in over two weeks. GM will not give them an answer. Its a less than one year old car with 2700 miles on it and its been in the shop now for three weeks straight and counting, dont you think at this point its an issue worth expediting? Its not an old car. It has very low mileage and should not have any issues. Its an almost $50,000 car for goodness sake. But in GM fashion they wont move until my attorney contacts them about a lemon law suit, and a civil suit for car payments, registration, taxes, loss of use, and being overall terrible to work with. Oh well, I guess GM doesnt care about another lemon on their record and another lawsuit lost.

I purchased a 2015 Silverado from Advantage Chevrolet in Bolingbrook, Il. After a short time I began to notice a vibration in the truck. When traveling between 45 mph and 55 mph and more so when traveling between 65 mph and 75 mph. The vibration is noticeable as the water bottle in the center council shakes and the hood and rear view mirror vibrate. This is a new truck, currently less than 6,000 miles. I am a long time GM owner, have purchased somewhere around 15 new GM vehicles and owned at least another 5 used vehicles. I am 54 years old and consider myself to be a long and faithful GM customer. This very well may change in the near future.I took my vehicle back to the dealer for service, they said it was operating within normal tolerances. I asked how that could be and how they came to that conclusion? I was told they hooked it up to monitors and compared it to another vehicle (same make and model) and they both gave the same results. After much discussion and me expressing my displeasure, I was told that there was a bulletin out from GM dated 6/23/2016 that tells the dealerships to not attempt to fix the issue any longer as they have changed tires, rotated tires, balanced tires and replaced rims with no success at eliminating the problem. The GM bulletin states that they are aware of the issue and trying to come up with a fix.I called a customer service number (800-222-1020) and created a case number (**). I was told by the dealer that this would create a case and it would elevate until it was resolved. I was told by the complaint line that they would contact the dealer and get back to me with their findings within 48 hours. When they got back to me (approximately 51 hours later) I was told that the dealer had done everything they could and the case was closed. I asked to speak with a higher level manager from the organization and was turned over to a senior consultant (Crystal). She reaffirmed that the case was resolved and that I could not speak to anyone else and have no other options. I attempted to call back to other times and speak with someone else, once I spoke with James who assured me that the case would be re-opened and Crystal would not be involved any longer. James also stated that Crystal should have let me speak to another consultant and what she did was wrong. In the end, the case went back to Crystal and she closed the case with no resolution.Needless to say, I am a very dissatisfied GM customer (soon to be a former GM customer) and am finding it very hard to get in contact with anyone at GM and seems to care about the customer. $40,000.00 truck that vibrates, a company that knows they have a problem as they sent out a bulletin but does not want to speak to the customer about the issue. The sad thing is, I just want to know what they are doing to try and identify the issue and fix it. Unfortunately, I will not own the truck much longer, will not buy GM products any longer and will lose money due to their poor customer service and lack of commitment to their customers. GM apparently doesnt need repeat customers. If by chance a GM Representative reads this, please contact me. I would love to discuss this issue and the extremely poor customer service representatives you have fielding your complaints at the 800 number above. I can say some of the representatives were trying to help. The senior rep should be in another line of work.

2014 Silverado LT with 42,000 miles, PO102 Mass Airflow sensor code. Cleared code only to have it come back on in less than 10 miles. Scheduled appointment with dealer to get it repaired only to find out it wasnt covered by factory warranty and there would be a charge of $309.00 to replace it. I called Customer Service while at the dealer and they argued back and forth with each other with the final verdict of NOT COVERED. I just lost 4 hours work @ over $40.00 per hour for this **. I was preparing my vehicle for across country vacation. I went to check on my spare tire, jack and tire tool. To my horror, it didnt have any. In its place, an air compressor. A useless tool in a tire blow out. I called my local St. Louis Bomaritto Chevrolet dealer. I didnt have any problem with them other than they should have provided the equipment or at minimum warned me MY 2013 CHEVROLET MALIBU DIDNT HAVE WHAT I NEEDED TO CHANGE A FLAT. THE VEHICLE I PAID $27,000.00 FOR. My problem is with GM. What a terrible decision. I contacted GM customer service to voice my displeasure. They wouldnt correct the bad policy. Two weeks ago my engine light came on on my 2004 Chevrolet SSR. I took it in for routine maintenance and to have the light checked. About 10 days later, the Dealer contacted me and told me that they were unavailable to obtain the part needed and consequently, the engine light would not go off. The result of the lights staying on is that I am completely unable to use my eight year old vehicle which has fewer than 80,000 miles! I am unable to get the vehicle inspected, unable to sell it and if I were to drive it and something major went wrong I wouldnt know it because the light stays on!General Motors solution was to give me a list of internal websites? in order for me to search for the part myself. I had previously searched approximately twenty sites and a friend who owns a salvage yard is searching salvage yards for me. I have now searched another 29 internet sites GM provided to me and six salvage yards. When I bought this vehicle, I paid between $50,000 and $60,000 for it. It was the first vehicle I had ever bought by myself (following my husbands death). I am wondering if anyone has experience with suing GM over something like this. I consider this vehicle completely unusable and had planned to keep it until passing it down to a child of mine.

Duramax LML injector pump failure - Metal shavings went through the fuel system. I need to replace all fuel lines and injectors along with the pump. Chevy says this is not common but the diagnosis is in their helm service manual. I took the injector pump apart and found that pistons in the pump can rotate, causing the roller bearing to cross the cam. That’s what makes the shavings. Bosch, the manufacturer of the pump, said its a GM design. I just want a better pump. The new pump is made the same as old one. $13,500.00 repair bill; help. Its GM and Bosch’s fault. I find it unacceptable. Someone is going to deal with this because Im going to keep making people aware. Thanks.

I purchased a 2011 GMC Yukon with 82K miles from Carmax. I paid $29K for this vehicle. This had the 5.3L engine & 4WD which is needed here in MI. At 125K miles the transmission gave out - no prolonged degradation, just failure over 1-2 days. I purchased a remanufactured transmission costing $3K (including installation). Adding more injury, GM charged me $200 to flash the transmission. Then at 140K miles, StabiliTrak and Traction Control codes appear along with the check engine light. The engine started running rough at idle with slightly reduced gas mileage. I changed the plugs, plug wires and coil to no avail. Analytics would show random misfire for cylinder 8. Compression check showed the cylinder was 60 psi low. Leak-down test showed the problem was either the camshaft or a lifter, meaning engine replacement. Ive taken good care of this vehicle with regular service and am extremely disappointed I couldnt get more mileage out of the engine. BTW, this is the 2nd GMC where both the engine and transmission had to be replaced at similar mileage (a 1985 GMC Jimmy). GMC is not the Professional Grade they claim to be, but the opposite. I will never purchase another GMC vehicle.

Why is it when the recalls on Pontiac hit the news, oh GM did this and GM did that but the other problems are for people who have these cars financed? You go through KBB or Auto-trader for a quote on what your car is worth and its nowhere near what you owe on the car even with a less than 4% finance rate. Even with your car being in great shape, you still cant get what its worth but then you check the dealerships for the same car and its 4000, 5000, even as much as 6000 more than your KBB and Auto Trader and these cars arent in as good of shape as yours. This is another problem that GM has caused and the dealerships are being paid to fix the cars by GM and then clearing $4000.00 or more on the sales of these cars. Its not right to the persons who have to pay for these cars to never get back what the cars are worth. Come on, GM. Step up and buy these cars back and then you try to sell them and see how quick your mistakes are putting the blue collar man in the hole.

July 22, 2019, we (Fiance and I) purchased a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado from Crew’s Chevrolet in North Charleston, SC. Within the first few week, we heard a constant thump coming from the rear of the cab. We took it in to the dealership not once, not twice but three times in order for the problem corrected. We were informed by the dealership that we could file a claim with GM so, we did. It has been a pain ever since. Once filing the claim with GM, we were assigned to a Senior Advisor. After a few conversations with the initial Senior Advisor, we found out they were no longer with the company and no one knew anything regarding the status of our claims. A week or so later, we received a phone call from another Senior Advisor, Tori, who was now assigned to our case. From here, I can’t even begin to describe the frustration I have felt. I have gone round for round with Tori regarding what to do, what’s going on and what to even think regarding our thumping with the truck. A civil engineer was sent to the dealership, a ton of sealant was applied and it is still thumping! (NO surprise there). Tori calls every 2 to 3 days to tell me that there is no update regarding our claim. There is an “Internal Resource Team” that apparently has not responded to her since the beginning of January. I have even called the service advisor at the local dealership and she seems to know more about our claim than the Senior Advisor assigned to our case. We are extremely frustrated and just want this to be over. We want our money back for the lemon that was manufactured by GM. We want to move on and not have to deal with the constant frustration with GM, Tori and the 2019 Chevy Silverado sitting in our yard. We have to make our payments while we do not feel safe driving this vehicle and have made that extremely clear. When will we get the answers?

Still gets 20 mpg on highway, 17 around town, interior is still in good shape and body is tight & rust free. Although I have other newer vehicles I use this as my go to vehicle for daily use because I enjoy driving it. Just thought I would say something positive when it is deserved. It was the most painful experience. Not only are the representatives unprofessional they are pathetic liars. GM does not stand behind their product. I just had my motor rebuilt due to a manufacturer defect and poor engine design. My car is less than 3 yrs old with less than 50k miles. All scheduled maintenance has been preformed. They should be ashamed at how they treat their loyal customers. They claim that repairs are necessary, well thats an understatement. Nothing but the run around with everyone at GM giving you a different excuse at the horrible quality of their product. Complaints fall on deaf ears & trying to get the senior adviser ** to actually call you back was the icing on the cake. She has to be the utmost unprofessional person I have yet to talk to. Own a 2011 Chevy Malibu and it started acting weird in late February 2016. Finally it just about stopped on the road so I called the dealership. He looked up my car (because I had been there before for service and a recall) and informed me my PowerTrain warranty was already expired. Mind you this wasnt even what I was asking about - I wanted to know if I could bring the car in to be looked at. So immediately it was off-putting. After he told me it was expired, he said they were extremely busy and I could try to bring it in but no guarantees. Well, since he was such a gentleman I obviously said no thanks and hung up. If my warranty is expired, its common knowledge that dealerships are more expensive so I figured I would take it to a local mechanic instead. Turns out the transmission needed a rebuild. It was completely shot. We are already living paycheck to paycheck so I immediately started to panic.Googling how much a repair like this costs and I was terrified... thousands of dollars. Either way, it had to be done because that is my only form of transportation. After a couple different mechanics looking at it, we settled on a mechanic in our town that specializes in transmissions. Got it fixed and it was a little over $3000. Not sure what possessed me to log in to the General Motors website, but I decided to just to see if there was anything out there as far as the transmissions on these particular cars. I had been reading up online and apparently transmission issues are very common in the model I have. After I entered my VIN, I saw that my Powertrain had NOT been expired as of the day I called for an appointment. It actually still had a full 24 hours on it! Cutting it close, but nonetheless! Either the service rep LIED because they were busy and he didnt want to deal with me or he just couldnt read a calendar. Either way, I have been screwed by GM and Paul Masse Chevrolet in East Providence, Rhode Island. Have been battling with GM Customer Service and all they can tell me is that dealerships are privately owned and they would like to offer me a year of SiriusXM or OnStar for my troubles. Im not giving up... The rep I spoke to was so slow to respond to me. Every time she said she would call the next day, and 2-3 days later shed finally call to say she was still working on it and trying to talk to the dealership. So basically I had to pay for their error, and they wont claim responsibility for their employees. It is disgusting.

Cadillac Cue System started going out when vehicle was two years old. Now it is completely dead. Which means my car is essentially brain dead. Any google search of Cadillac Cue will come up forum upon forum of people who have had the same issue, but GM will not recall this component. They want $1600 to replace a $100 touchscreen. Will never buy another GM product, nor will I recommend one to anyone I know for this problem alone. GM does not stand behind their products.

My boyfriend and I drove over 2 hours to a dealership that had the 2016 GM Canyon Diesel in stock. Purchased the vehicle and everything was great. That was on a Tuesday. With less than 500 miles on the truck and being 5 hours away from home on Friday (3 days later), the truck wouldnt start. Completely disabled. GM had the truck towed to the closest dealership to evaluate and repair. That was Friday, February 26, 2016. Today is Tuesday, March 8, 2016 and we are NO closer to having our truck repaired or replaced. Have made dozens of calls to the dealership that is supposed to be fixing the truck, to the dealership that sold us the truck, and finally to GM company. Everyone is very sympathetic and agrees this is terrible but do nothing! We requested a new truck. No, have to go through the warranty channels. We have this truck 3 Days! It died with less than 500 miles on it. They have had the truck now for 12 days. No answers on when the truck will be fixed. The dealership with the truck doesnt sound like they know how to fix it. GM gives a different answer each time we call and get a different person. Asked for higher up, get nowhere. Worse customer service ever!!

I love my GMC Envoy. Very enjoyable ride and mo mechanical problems at all. Im enjoying the multiple CD player and the deep bucket seats. I love the leather interior, the moonroof and the dual closure. I also like the door and window locks, the automatic seats and that they remember which driver you are. I like the interior design and the colors of both interior and exterior. The seats are very comfortable as well. I dislike however how far back the seat belts are attached. Also the center console takes up a lot of space but the way its designed it doesnt hold much so its wasting space.

I wanted a taller vehicle and I like the 2003 GMC Envoy. I am tall and I really enjoy how easy it is to get in and out of. I also liked the price they were asking for it. I also favor GMC automobiles, I know they are dependable. This is the first SUV that have ever owned and I love it! I highly recommend this type of vehicle. I like the way it drives, the color and it isnt bad on gas. I also like the fact my heat blows hot as soon as I start my GMC. But I would make the leather seats heated. I have interior lights on floor in both front and back.

I contacted GM motors complaints department many times regarding a cracked passengers airbag section. The full airbag compartment is cracked perfectly around the bag and my car is showing the sign of service airbag. Clearly this is a manufacturing problem. However, they are refusing to pay the service to check to ensure the airbag is safe. I will hold GM responsible for ANY damage that happens if the airbag inflates for no reason since the compartment is obviously cracked and in a perfect shape around the bag. I am too scared to even have a passenger sit in my car in the front out of fear that it could inflate at anytime with no proper cause. They continually and in writing have refused to pay for the service. They will be paying a whole lot more than $100 if this bag opens up suddenly in my car.ZERO HELP from their staff. You have to contact them multiple times to actually receive a reply. Multiple emails to have someone call you back. They give you their number and extension but NEVER answer their calls. When they call you back if you are not available next to your phone, dont expect them to answer your call back even if its seconds later. NEVER EVER BUYING A GM CAR EVER IN MY LIFE AGAIN. Guaranteed am also telling everyone I know the same. They are great as long as you are signing your cheques over for them, otherwise, NO ONE CARES for your safety or anything else. Am sure this review will also be insignificant to them, but at least if anyone wants to know the truth about them, they can read all the different opinions of real people before deciding.

GM customer service and appreciation is so poor, I’ll never again purchase a GM product, after my husband and I have been loyal GM owners all our lives. On October 13th, we were in an unfortunate vehicle accident where my vehicle has been in the repair shop since October 17th. Since this time, parts for my vehicle repair are still in an “Unknown” status. The dealership escalated parts with GM as unavailable on October 31st, however after not being able to receive an ETA, I reached out to GM directly to escalate this concern on December 3rd. December 5th was able to speak to my case worker who reached out to the dealership on the same day. December 10th, I was finally provided an update from my case worker but only confirming all the details I already knew; My parts are unavailable, escalation has been file by dealership, and they would be sent when they are available (no ETA). The only detail he provided me that I wasn’t aware of was GM wasn’t the point of contact, my dealership was and there was nothing more GM could do. My case worker was unsympathetic in every conversation we’ve had, only re-iterating the whole country has been impacted by the GM strike. I then emailed the CEO of Chevrolet, Mary Barra, on December 10th, in which I received another case work. After patiently waiting, finally received a call December 15th from my new case worker. This one was worst than the last in regards to customer service. Saying the same thing as the last case worker about the GM strike and parts not available, only worse, she kept insisting my case first escalated on December 10th. I’m sure you can imagine how far my frustration had gone by this point. I requested to speak to her manager since it was obvious she was only performing the same actions as the last case worker, only more poorly. I was given a 24-48 hour turn around. Finally, December 22, got a call from her manager and again got nowhere, no update. Today is December 29 and GM still has no update on parts for my vehicle yet they are still pushing the same vehicles to production.

I purchased my 2014 GMC Terrain 2 years ago as a used vehicle with 15,000 miles on it. I have been overall very satisfied with the looks and performance of this vehicle. A few months ago we started having a shudder happen at acceleration. We didnt know what it might be from and it was so intermittent that we didnt immediately have it checked out. As the weather warmed the shudder happened more often and eventually made it to where it was difficult to pull out from an intersection due to no acceleration. We took it to a dealer to have it checked out and were advised that there is problem with several model years of GM transmissions having the torque converter delaminate which causes debris to spread through the transmission and causes it to fail. This is the case with ours and with a $5400 price tag to replace the transmission. We complained that since this is 2019 and its a 2014 with 59,000 miles shouldnt it be covered under the 5 year/100,000 mile powertrain warranty. They advised it was out of the 5 years by 7 months from the in-service date. They did offer a 30% discount but we still felt this was way too much to pay for a transmission. We decided to take to a transmission shop for repair. The price ended up being the same as what the discounted price would be from the dealer. I contacted GM and was told that they wouldnt work with me on this since the repairs werent being done at a dealer. By the time that we discussed, it was too late to stop the repairs at the transmission shop. I was disgusted that GM wouldnt stand behind a vehicle with less than 60,000 miles with transmission failure and only 5 years old. This vehicle has not been abused or neglected in service. I am ready to say that we will no longer consider GM vehicles as possible options when we replace this or any of our other vehicles, even though we have been lifetime GM fans/owners.

I am the sorry owner of a Chevy Impala. I have been a GM customer for over 20 years. I have always tried to support American made cars. My experience with this Impala has been a nightmare. I have taken it to the dealer several times and have gotten treated very poorly. The rear defrost just quit working. Tire system failed, now I am waiting to be seen for the recall and need to have someone check out why my car gives me the message engine power reduced. Once I have these things done, I will be returning this car and I will never purchase an automobile from GM or any of its affiliates. I am so disgusted with this car. I depend on this car (I cant call it an automobile or vehicle) to take my child back and forth and I need to get to work. I cannot afford to jeopardize her safety. I will never recommend GM to anyone.

Just before my 36,000 mile warranty expired my aluminum rims on my company truck were corroding and heavy discoloration and instead of replacing them tho choose to have a 3rd source try to repair them. He got the corrosion off but left rough surfaces on the rims. When I brought it back less than 6 months later because they were corroding again, they gave me the run around. I went there 2 times and finally on the 3rd time the refinishing guy said he only did the edges and blamed it on everyone else. The service manager took me over to some replacement wheels and rims that he would change out on my truck, but of course that never worked even though he said it was cheaper than replacing my wheels. I can buy them on line for $185 each and that was too expensive. Next thing I knew the service manager closed out my complaint. So I went and started a new complaint. They called me days later and offered me $1000 they said, do you need running boards, bug shield, topper? I said, “Just replace my 4 wheels $740”, but would not do that or give me the money to buy them.

I advised the customer service represenative Stephanie that the van was a 2003 with 47,000 miles and i had bought it from a private individual approximately 4 weeks earlier. I advised her that i was driving it and it sounded like something broke in the engine. She advised me i would need to take it to a GM dealer to have it diagnosed, and they would then see if they could provide me some type of finicial assistance. I payed to have my vehicle towed to nearby Chevrolet dealership, where it sat for a week before being looked at. The service manager then advised me they would need authorization either from me or GM, to tear it down, to determine the exact problem. I told the service Manager i would not be able to afford that added expense, not knowing if GM would provide any finicial assistance in their final determination. The next call i received was from Stephanie at GM customer service, she proceeded to advise me that GM would not be able to provide me any finicial assistance, due to the fact that the van was a 2003 and that i had not purchased it from a GM dealer. I then requested a answer as too why she did tell me this during our initial conversation, seeing how she was privy to that information during our first conversation. She did not give me a answer to that question, only replying she was sorry.

We just bought a 5 year old Terrain last month and so far we love it. We chose it based on mileage and condition. Its in great shape, has low mileage and is very clean and runs well. I have not owned a GMC before now but I am pretty impressed so far. We like the backup camera, ability to connect to our phone, CD player. I like the height and style of the SUV. I love the heated bucket seats and the roomy hatch area. There is plenty of leg room which my husband and son appreciate. The seats are nice and comfortable too. But I have trouble using the cruise control. Its awkward to use safely. I have to take my eyes off the road to see what Im doing which is certainly not safe. I also do not like the button on the hatch door instead of a handle. Im worried that it will malfunction quickly and be a pain to use afterwards.

Just wondering if anyone else who had this recall done ran into a situation where the low beam headlights had to be replaced at the owners expense. This situation is ridiculous. Let me first state the I accept partial blame for not taking my car in as soon as I received a recall notice. When my low beam lights went out I took my car to JohnBear to have the HDM recall addressed. I picked up my car after the recall work was done and went in to work for night shift.Leaving work the next day I found I had no low beam headlights and now no dash lights. Took it back to JohnBear where I was informed that both my low beam headlights had burnt out at the exact same time(?) and that had nothing to do with the recall(?). Ive dealt with a service rep at Buick (Sheri) that I must apologize to for letting my frustration get the better of me. I was charged $373.40 for two installed low beam headlights(?). In my mind and 3 or 4 mechanics I have spoken with this is excessive and should have either been tied to the recall or the original work performed at the dealership. Yet no one is taking responsibility.

This problem is being treated different at dealers. Cadillac will repair timing chain on a 1 on 1 case!!! Not the Chevy Equinox 3.6 L same engine. I guess because they pay more for their car. I currently own a 2015 Cadillac Escalade which I have owned since 2015. We recently discovered a water leak on the drivers side second row on the roof where the seams meet by the back door, the water has leaked down the inner panel affecting the seat belt causing it to lock out. The entire carpet from the second row to the third row was wet producing the smell of mold. After taking my vehicle to two different Cadillac dealers they found the leak we had already discovered. General Motors has denied the claim made by the dealership, they are not taking accountability for their faulty vehicle and supporting us the consumer who has trusted them to produce a high quality product worth the large investment we made. I am beyond disappointed in General Motors and the poor customer service we have received from them. This issue is 100% a manufacture defect, we did not cause this issue to occurs and now we are stuck with the cost of the repair and breathing in the mold which is a hazard to myself and 3 young kids health. I am appalled at the lack of support from General Motors. I bought a Cadillac expecting a high quality product and high quality customer service which is not at all what we have received. I am contacting you in reference to my vehicle. Unfortunately the service manager William has showed and made it very clear he does not want to service my vehicle at all. He told me that he did not know 100% what was wrong with my car unless they tear it down and that his techs dont want to do that and he dont want to pay them to do it. I had took my car to a front end specialist and got a second opinion and they suggested struts and strut mounts. He told me that if my warranty cover my struts, he would have them changed and I was going to pay for the strut mounts to be put on, which he said would be an extra $56. He also stated I needed a timing belt which is going bad for the second time around. I know when I bring my vehicle in, the parts that I am told are bad are covered under my warranty. He told me my warranty denied my struts but when I called come to find out, they never mentioned the struts at all being needed to repair. He also made a big deal about my warranty not covering my timing belt and they do, its in black and white and plus I asked them myself. Well, he called my warranty and told them that I dont need any struts and there is nothing wrong with my timing belt so they could block my repairs and he did not have to pay the techs out his pocket to do the work. I always come there for service to my vehicle from oil changes I paid for on up. I have never had to fight and bicker to get my car serviced there before at all. This unprofessional matter and stunt he pulled was uncalled for, all he keeps doing is wanting me to come out my pocket for repairs. Why should I if I have a warranty to pay for the labor and repairs? He tells me if they pull my front end apart, I will have to pay the tech out my pocket to do it. I am past fed up with his attitude and unwillingness to repair my vehicle. On top of that, lying to my warranty company so they can block the repairs so I can pay for them myself and basically, his way to show me that he is not going to fix my car and he is not going to let his tech either. Timing belt is a major repair issue. This is my only mode of transportation and for him to lie about it so he want have to do anything to my car - WOW. I have never seen this type of service before at all. If I know my parts are not under warranty, I would not bring my car in to have techs fix it when I know they have to be paid. Plus, warranty cover labor and parts and all this service manager does is throw in my face about he not going to pay the techs and someone has to pay the techs and he not paying them out his pocket. Customer service should be this service manager main priority and not how much money you can spend for parts that are all ready under warranty, makes no sense at all. Stop throwing temper tantrums when its work that need to be done and you dont want to do it. Its part of your job to work and make sure the customer car does not leave the same way it came in, which mine has every time I took it in to be serviced. This is not the first time I have had to get my front end looked at. One time they charged my warranty people and come to find out when I got the car back same way it went in. No work was done to my vehicle at all. The tech admitted that he never changed anything on my car that he had another car like mine and did that work to it. This service department and service manager are very unprofessional and wants to take the easy way out of things. Then he told me that he can spray some lubrication on the parts and that will take care of the noise as well as how my main concern should not be the noise, it should be the oil leak that I have never seen in my drive way - which is more than likely from my cover gaskets I paid out my pocket to have changed.

Chevy Corsa 1.4i, vehicle not repaired properly - I bought a brand new vehicle. Three days later, I contacted the dealer and reported a faulty air con. I straightaway asked for a new car and was told that it has to be repaired and that it was the air con unit box in the dashboard. After a month and a half, I was told my car is ready for collection. On inspection, my fuse box cover was damaged and was replaced by a demo vehicle. The front of my bumper was damaged and had to go to the panel beaters for a re-spray after one of the workshop guys (unprofessional) try to touch it up with paint, causing more damage. After I received it back, I returned it within 24 hours complaining my left mirror cover is not lining up like the right hand side. One of the guys tried to repair it (not the same guy who assembled the job) after I received it back, they broke the right hand side leaving it out of its bracket and a big gap. I was told then, that I must return the vehicle in two weeks when the guy who assembled my car will be back from leave. When I try and put my car in reverse, the gears are scratching badly before it goes in. I feel that my car was not worked on by professional and my life is in danger with the gears scratching believing it might jam while I am driving or leave me stranded.

My fuel system control module failed at about 90,000 km. Looked up the information on the web and found an outstanding recall for failed FSCM on my truck manufactured from June to August. My truck was made in June. Took the truck to the dealer, and was told my VIN number was 92 trucks before the recall began. Thats made on the same day or the day before, and my part failed the exact same way as described in the recall. My part was not covered, so GM charged me $900 for the repair. This was annoying, but they do have a legal leg to stand on, as theyre the ones who set the beginning of the recall, not us. VIN numbers started for recall when they believed the faulty parts hit the production line, but obviously they were off by at least a hundred. How do we know whether they got it right? I assert they did not. All they offered me in compensation - because Ive been buying GM products for 24 years - was a $200 pre-paid visa card for use at a dealership, and only for regular service, not repairs. Since then Ive also had multiple incidences of a trio of fault codes that shut down all my winter safety systems - four-wheel drive, traction control, and stabilitrak. Every time I take the truck to the dealer they reset the codes and say theres nothing wrong with the truck. Im at $400 for this problem, with no resolution. These systems are vital to driving safely where I work in northern BC, so when these codes are activated I lose the things I need most. The computer will not reset the codes even though nothing is currently wrong with the vehicle, and Im forced to drive around without my main safety components until a dealer can make time to soak me for a repair bill to reset them.GM has built in faults that could reset on their own, but dont, and make you go to the dealer to pay plenty of money and fix what isnt broken. If the codes actually identified which part is intermittently causing them, at least I could have that part changed out and the vehicle would be reliable. To top it all off, the vehicle is much less safe to drive with these features disabled, so my life is at risk until I get there. This is flat out extortion.

It would seem that General Motors doesn’t understand customer satisfactio
It would seem that General Motors doesn’t understand customer satisfaction. Before today, if you would ever ask me what car to buy, I would always recommend a GM vehicle. It will be long time before I do that again. Through my local dealer I ordered a part 2 weeks ago, for which they took my money to order it, the part has shipped to one of the GM warehouses, who doesn’t seem to have any urgency to release to the dealer from which I purchased it.Even the dealer has no luck requesting the release of the part and GM customer service says I have to work through the dealer to get the part released because once it has shipped from GM, GM is no longer responsible for it, even though, according to my local dealer, this warehouse 75 is the GM centralized distribution center. I am now waiting on a supervisor from GM customer service to call me back. 24 to 48 hours although in the meantime I am stuck driving on a cracked GM rim that could go out at any time. Being a GM owner all my adult life, this has me frustrated and has developed a true regret in standing by GM all these years. General Motors, you have lost a long term supporter.

I purchased a 2006 Impala with 160,000 miles in 2011. Recently, I have been getting a Service Traction Control on my dash, as well as a Reduced Speed/Low Oil pressure message. When this happens, my car will not increase speed and it has little to no power at all. When this happened the first time, I drove directly to Bale Chevrolet here in Little Rock, Arkansas. I left my vehicle and warranty information with the service department. I received a call a day later telling me it isnt covered under warranty and isnt a recall issue. Mind you, I have read hundreds of post with Impala drivers saying the exact same thing; just something out of the blue happened on their car. The representative told me my car would cost over $400.00. I agreed to pay it. At that time, I felt good about Bale Chevrolet being able to fix the issue. Why not? I bought a 20003 Impala from them in 2004. I went and paid for it. Mind you that this was on 4/25/13; I am writing this on 5/16/13. So, I get in my car on lunch yesterday and my check engine light is on. Then later, when I had got off the Service Traction Control light error, the Low Oil pressure lights are right back on; and my car is doing the exact same thing it had done in April before it had been alleged to have been repaired. When this happened again this morning, my child was riding with me. I made a left turn and was almost side swiped because my car wouldnt accelerate at all. I called the Service Department at Bale and was told they will look at it and it may be a multiple issue problem. I had my car fully diagnosed back in April, so if it was a multiple issues thing, those multiple issues shouldve been addressed before allowing me to leave with a patched up car. He also told me I would be responsible for any new parts pertaining to the Service Traction/Low Oil Pressure issues. Also, I was told that I will have to wait until Monday before anybody can look at the car. Ive already paid for the repairs which werent done properly and now I have to wait 2 days before it can even be looked at. It is sad (me and my family are long time Chevy buyers) to be treated like this at a lot where Ive bought more than one car; to be told get in line and wait after my car when it wasnt fixed properly the first time. I am 100% sure that I, nor my immediate family, will ever purchase another Chevy car or truck as long as I live. This is from a company that my tax dollars helped to bail out. I still purchased from them to now be treated like a number. I almost had my car totaled out because of issues that should be a recall in the first place. Second, I paid to have it fixed. I know this email won’t be responded to, but I hope others will read and strongly consider not purchasing a GM vehicle at all. I will be trading my poor Impala for a Honda as soon as I have money to pay Bale Chevrolet a second time to fix what shouldve been fixed in April. Google Bale and you will see all the complaints about them having to fix the same problems two to three times, with the customer ending up paying more and more just to get something that shouldve been correctly diagnosed and fixed the first time.

I purchased a new 2014 Chevy Malibu. Have been taking excellent care of it, oil changes regularly, etc. At 50,000 miles the engine locked up... no warning. Just quit while cruising along on my way to work. Now GM is replacing the engine with a reman but said my starter went out too and that isnt covered under the powertrain warranty and will cost $630. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER GM vehicle. Never. Engine replacement at 50K miles and I have to pay $650 and pay for my own car rental!? They should put in a NEW engine, starter and provide a loaner for free!!! Not happy with my lemon at all.

I have been a client of General Motors for 17 years and have bought several of what I believed to be your high-quality vehicles. I purchased an Acadia in 2013. About 2-3 months ago, I noticed that the paint on the hood of the car was bubbling up. I brought it to the dealership, Morrissey GMC, in Rockville Centre, NY. I was told by the service representative that I was no longer covered by the warranty because I had exceeded 36,000 miles, even though I have an extended warranty.I brought the car to 3 other body shops, and I was told that the bubbling was a result of a defect in the paint. GMC should stand by their product, regardless of the car’s mileage, and repair it at no expense to me because regardless of the age or mileage of the car, the issue at hand is that the paint is defective—which is a quality control issue. In addition, I spoke to a customer service representative regarding this issue, and she said that GMC would not pay for the repair in full, they would cover approximately half of the expense. She refused to send an engineer to examine the car, stated that her decision was final, and would not allow me to speak with one of her superiors. Why should a client be responsible for a quality control issue, this is an expense that is normally incurred and covered by any respectable corporation. In addition, refusing to refer a client to a superior to resolve an issue is very unprofessional. Isn’t the client always right? This obviously isn’t the case with GMC. Aside from being a longtime client, I have referred people to GMC and purchases have been made a result of my referrals. I can honestly say that I expected better from a long-standing American Corporation that is supposed to pride itself and represent what used to be considered a corporation that set the standard for other American vehicle companies.Needless to say, I will not be referring GMC to anyone in the future and this letter will also be submitted to the Better Business Bureau as I don’t believe it is in good practice or professional to hold the client responsible for quality control issues, or for a customer service representative to ultimately determine the outcome of any situation when a client asks to speak to their superior.

We bought a 2011 GMC Terrain SLT brand new from the dealer. At 19,000 miles the AC compressor went out, warranty covered that expense. 2 years later the compressor had a leak and the dealer recharged the compressor. This was done without our knowledge while we had the vehicle in for an oil change. At 90,000 miles we had a new transmission installed for $4200. That was our fault for not getting rid of the Terrain. In 2017 the check engine light came on, we were told it was a sensor for the exhaust. 2 days ago the AC compressor went out again. The Terrain was back at the dealer today. We were told the compressor was bad and needed replacing, $1000. The check engine light was really the timing chain needed to be replaced $2000. The vehicle has 115000 miles on it and I cant afford to have it fixed. GMC should step up to the plate and give me and my wife some assistance. We are both retired living off social security!!

As a GM Customer for over 12 years, I leased a Cadillac for 4 years and recently leased a 2021 XT6. As I contact Cadillac Novi, to schedule an appointment for my XT6 to come in for service. Due to hearing an unfamiliar noise when I’m accelerating. I was told by the Service Advisor that they have no vehicles for loaners due to the chip shortage. But furthermore I was told that I can go and rent a vehicle at Enterprise or whatever and then contact GM to see if I could be reimbursed. I asked the Service Advisor how come they can’t set me up with Enterprise or a rental company due to them not having vehicles. To make the matters worse, he tells me that it would take at least 5 days before the vehicle will even be diagnosed. As a frustrated customer I asked the Service Advisor as a customer who has a bumper to bumper warranty what if I don’t have the financial income to be able to rent a vehicle at this time. The Service Advisor had nothing to say.At this point it’s clear that GM - Cadillac has nothing in place for customers. It’s very sad and unacceptable on all levels. I’m very disappointed with GM and will not be going back. Having a Bumper to Bumper Warranty is useless and it shows that GM do not honor their product. Anytime a customer have to come out of pocket when they purchased a new vehicle for a peace of mind is unacceptable. The fact that a customer have to call and go through the process of GM lack of production is this chip it seems as it’s a fallback with them. I’m so disappointed and will not be a continue customer. The Service Advisor gave me a phone number that after the prompts it just rings and rings. Then another number that after you press the prompt to #1 it goes to talk to text.

Ive had a horrible experience with GM customer service. The commercials and information put out by GM/Chevrolet completely contradicts its customer service standard. When my car had an issue I tried emailing and received emails with incorrect grammar from representatives. They asked me to explain what I wanted, when I had detailed a request for a refund and information on the failure in the original email. I then moved on to calling. Their customer service is contracted out and they admit they cant take any action on certain issues. They only provide an address if you ask for a contact at GM. They fully expect you to just give up on the issue by the third phone call. Each tier/level up I went, the person was ruder. I never once raised my voice, but at one point I was trying not to get emotional because the two failures of the part put me in life threatening situations.I had a part installed on my vehicle by a Chevrolet dealership in 2014 after my car lost power on the interstate. In 2017 the part failed AGAIN. In both situations I was traveling at 65/70mph and the loss of power was immediate. Monica, Charlene, Octavia, and Greg were emotionless the entire call. The dealerships said I had to go through GM to get a refund, and it was a nightmare. I am educated in the legal field, the negligence on the part on GM/Chevrolet is appalling. I have documented everything and filed a complaint with the NHTSA. I hope to have some resolution, as I still believe the car is unsafe. I never once felt reassured by the customer service team.

I purchased this rust bucket. See what you think about this brand new 2019 Chevy 2500 LTZ Duramax with 50 miles! The entire undercarriage is covered with rust, GM and the Halls Dealership have both agreed that this is normal! It’s far from normal and is called neglect on behalf of both parties! It’s hard to believe that they dont coordinate and get away with this type of business conduct! A service bulletin related to surface rust gets them out of giving me a truck without rust that wasn’t driven through road treatment! They have a lot of explaining to do! The truck is worthless and don’t let either parties get you like they got me! It’s absurd that they can get away with what they are doing! Just a heads up for anyone purchasing a new GM lookout for the undercarriage rust because the service bulletin is only available to the service department who doesn’t give a darn about anything but the sale and getting over on the consumer! I am not done with these folks!

My 2015 Silverado 1500 broke down with 39,000 Miles on it. I had it towed to a Chevrolet Dealership. When they looked at it they told me it was the Fuel Injector on cylinder 6 that was faulty. Because it was out of the 3 year/36,000 Mile warranty I would have to pay for it myself. I told them I understood and would pay for it since it was out of warranty. They then told me that since the vehicle was apart that I should replace the Fuel Rail and ALL the other Fuel injectors on that side in case they were bad too. I didnt think it sounded right, but since I brought it right to the dealer I figured I should trust their opinion. I replaced everything they said which came out to $1,300. Mind you this is a truck with 39,000 miles on it. It gets worse. Once they put it back together they told me it still wasnt running right. They kept trying to figure out what was wrong with the vehicle because they couldnt figure it out originally. After they replaced the fuel injector they told me it wasnt working again. They then replaced the pushers, still wasnt working properly. After that they decided they needed to call the GM Engineers to figure it out. Once they were called they found out that the entire cylinder needed to be replaced. It took them 3 times putting it back together totaling 2 weeks without me having a vehicle to figure it out. Im not even blaming the dealership because I can understand that things happen. My real problem is with GM themselves because I called them after this all happened to explain the situation. I got in touch with a woman named Sandra. I was explaining to her that I should not be liable for the fuel injectors seeing as they obviously let go due to the issues that happened from the warrantied parts. She took almost two weeks to come to the conclusion that even though I did fuel injector cleaners with all my oil changes that it was still me that should be on the hook for all the repairs, even the fuel injectors that never needed to be replaced at all! I told her that I can even understand replacing the one that was bad, even though that it was done based on a poor diagnostics. In all reality had they fixed the problems in the motor first I would have never paid for the fuel injectors. It seems to me that they brought up the fuel injectors first just so they could charge me for them and then say that there are other problems that need to be addressed. She wanted to give me a $100 Chevrolet service coupon! Really?! I now have a truck with an extensive amount of motor work done on it with 39,000 miles. This is how GM backs their vehicles? Disgusting, that is all I can say about my experience with GM to this point.

I have owned GM products since the early 80s, including 2 Buicks, 2 Corvettes, a Malibu, an Envoy and now a Terrain Denali. This included a full navigation system that listed at over $400. Just over a year after the purchase the navigation system stopped working, but since I did not use it, I did not bring it in to get to get fixed. I did bring it in just past the warranty period of 2 years and they were unable to service it that as the particular service tech that worked on these systems was not in. Finally got it in yesterday, 3 years after purchase and they want $728 to replace a interface control module. Yes its over the 2 year warranty period, so they are correct, but this is just too much. So much for customer loyalty. I have redeemed over $19,000 of the GM Card on new products and now I am cancelling and will never buy another GM product. Currently have over $3k credit on the card and cant use that to fix the navigation system either. This module also runs the ON-STAR system.

I have a 2011 Terrain with the best gas mileage, 26 driving at 60 mph. I drive 120 miles a day to work and back, speed limit 55 mph and I have 63,000 miles on the car. On May 1st, I parked the car at work and when I went move it again, it would not go into gear. I had to get a tow truck and take it to the GMC dealership. They said they didnt have any loaners and I had no way of getting home. So, I found a car rental (only place in town) and all they had was a Chrysler van so I took it. The dealership said it was a bad transmission and replaced it on May 4. When I picked up my car, I asked about covering the cost of the rental. They asked what type of car I rented. I said Chrysler and they said it had to be another GMC. At that time, when they didnt have a loaner, nobody said you had to rent another GMC. When I got the car home, I noticed I had transmission fluid on the floor, so I had to take it back again on May 7 (no car for the weekend). They said they forgot the seal kit and were able to repair it the same day. On 7-20, coming to work, the transmission started to sound funny. Halfway to work, it would go into 1st gear. I had to drive to the dealership doing 35 mph, late for work. I did get a loaner car this time. Out of all the new cars I have bought (Chryslers), I have never had transmission problems and now I have two bad transmissions. Whats the chance of that? This vehicle is costing me time and money. I bought a new vehicle so I wouldnt have these problems. The company I work for supplies parts for this vehicle and you demand 0 defects. Im not sure why you would treat your customer this way!

I am a former executive of GM. While employed, I cautioned management via the PEP Program that for years GM has not fixed a problem with their driving lights on many of their vehicles. After a few years, at least one or both white driving lights burns out usually from a hot socket, Im told. Ive owned several GM vehicles and presently drive a Yukon among them. For years knowing my years with GM, my friends and acquaintances often tell me, You can most always tell/bet the GM vehicle approaching you with at least one driving light out is a GM truck, crossover, etc. at least 90%+ of the time. I have no answer as to why for years this kind of on-going negative on-road advertising has been allowed to exist, do you? If its a supplier wiring harness issue, lets fix it as no amount of TV and other media positive advertising can overcome a day and night visible problem that gets most peoples constant attention and commentary. (In short, would any of us re-buy vehicles that after a few years, long before their lifetime runs their course, visibly advertise that they have a rather simple visible fix that seems to be an endemic GM problem? I think not!) Like Forrest Gump is noted as saying, Stupid is as stupid does. For all our GM families sake, investigate and fix as appropriate this seemingly forever on the road negative adverting. Ive driven plenty of V8 engines with various transmissions and never had this issue. It is NOT SAFE! The fact that GM is just shrugging this off is quite concerning. Our Chevy Volt grew MOLD all over the front and back seats after winter snowstorms! After taking in to find the cause and have it remedied we were told it needed to be detailed before anyone felt safe getting in it to work. They told us we needed to approve the detailing for them to move forward but not to worry because we most likely would not be charged since it leaked. The next day they called saying it that the mold had been cleaned and that we needed to come pick it up and pay $200!!! A car with mold is NOT fixed with a rag! BAIT and SWITCH! This is an attempt to put the responsibility on us. They even had the nerve to suggest we must have left the windows down in the middle of winter in Washington! Or that my husband left his wet swim trunks ??? (again, winter in Washington!) in the backseat of his commuter car! That did not happen. This is the WORST customer service I have ever experienced. We have been loyal GM customers. I own a GMC Yukon and were in the market for a Sierra pickup, but will never buy another vehicle from them and will not be able to recommend in the future like I have in the past. Instead I will tell people our horror story. GM should be ashamed! This is why companies like Amazon are thriving - because they take care of their customers. My husband and I purchased a 2013 Chevy Malibu in Nov 2013. New car. No issues until April 2015. First, my Service Parking Brake light came on now and then. Took it in and they said it was a fuse box. Ordered a new one at our expense. Two days later the engine locked up. Got it towed and dealership ordered a new engine. Replacement engine was knocking after just being installed! Second new engine installed and runs fine. Still had Service Park Brake light on after replacing the fuse box. 250 miles later, engine started knocking! Took it back again and dealership left torque converter bolts loose. They claim to have tightened them and replaced the fuse block.Started a case with GM to get the car bought back because its obviously a lemon. No longer have the light on, but now the car idles rough and shifts terrible. GM will not allow the dealership to work on the car unless there is a code on their computer when they hook it up. Its not throwing any codes and no lights on the dash, so we wait. This is absurd! I have talked to a senior rep at GM several times, and she said we have to go through this and they will probably not ever buy it back. Not happy and never buying Chevy again!

Own 3 Chevy Sonics. 2014 I bought mine, loved it so much we bought our 2 children one each in 11/16. In Jan of this year (2018) our sons car burnt up while it was parked and ignition was off for at least an hour. No modifications were made to this car. Fire department, and insurance company both said that the fire started under the hood. We called GM immediately. It took over 3 1/2 months for GM to even send anyone to look at it and it was after the insurance company had to threaten them. I went back to dealership, and was told that the car was still under factory warranty and they should have investigated it as soon as it happened. The GM investigator that did speak to me was rude and told me (3 months after the fire), I am sure the car has been scrapped for metal by now...which it had not been. He also said Well we dont know that the car catching on fire was fault due to the motor...and I replied You wouldnt know cause you sent no one out. On April 3, 2018 I emailed our insurance company and they said that GM would have a decision in 2 weeks. I have requested a status regularly and it has been 7 months with no response as in no call, email or letter from GM. All I asked was that they stand by their warranty. I understand that to GM this is a game of corporate bullying. They have no interest in providing a valid service to their customers. Their mission statement We at GM make a strong commitment to our customers, employees, partners, and other important stakeholders. They continue to promote that they are guided by five principles including Safety and Quality first...Create Lifelong Customers. GM has demonstrated to me that they do not stand by their product or their mission. GMs only mission is to serve themselves at the expense of their customers. I will never buy a GM vehicle again.

I own a 2013 Chevy Equinox that was part of a class action suit for excessive oil consumption. The suit was settled, but Poage Chevrolet and GM will not honor the warranty. The vehicle was under 120,000 miles when the suit was filed but is over 120,000 by the time the suit was settled. According to the settlement, they should be repairing the engine. However, they are saying that because the vehicle is now over 120,000 miles they will only pay half. I also had a $1,000 repair I paid before this suit was filed. Im not sure how they would expect miles not to be put on during the 5 months of litigation - I still had to drive it. Im disappointed in GM for not honoring the repairs and the dealership, Poage Chevrolet, for not advocating for their customer in this situation.

I have a 2014 GMC Terrain. I was heading to Cooperstown NY with my 15 year old son for a baseball tournament. I was driving at 70 mph on I87 in the passing lane in a driving rainstorm. I put my wipers on high and they quit working! I got myself to the breakdown lane (SCARY). I tried a couple things to fix the situation but it didnt work so the rain let up and I followed a friend 5 miles to the nearest GMC dealer. There they told me the wiper transmission broke and it would cost 450.00. so I am vulnerable position so I had to paid and had to move on! Now when I got back from my trip I researched my issue and went to dealer that I bought my car and no one could help me (no recalls and my mileage was too high (67000)). I didnt realize that I had my wipers on for 67000 miles?? This part is not a serviceable part and also how many miles have I really used those wipers?I am more disappointed in GM CUSTOMER SERVICE in how they are handling this. They do not understand the magnitude of the situation! I researched this and in 2013 GM recalled the same things and in Canada GM recalled 2010-2017 Terrain for the same part number and issue. And also my Terrain was mfg in CANADA but once it is driving in the US it is not covered under the recall of Canada! I was looking for complete payment of 450.00. GM CUSTOMER SERVICE DOES NOT REALIZE THAT A LIFE COULD OF BEEN LOST AND 450.00 IS NOTHING COMPARED TO THAT!!!

I am traumatized to drive that car, and I do not recommend to ANYONE!

First and foremost, GMs service sucks. I took my 1987 Oldsmobile Toronado to Don Gooley Cadillac in Saint Clair Shores. The guy who used to service the Oldsmobile went to a different dealership and the write-up person told me to go to that dealership which is 40 miles away. When I asked if there is anybody else there that could service my car, I was told no. I even had the service booked for the car. So I wrote to the owner of the dealership and the service manager on how unhappy I was. No response and that was over 2 months ago. The next time I buy a car, its going to be a Toyota. I get service on my 30-year old Celica and they dont treat me like crap.

I bought a 2010 Chevy Equinox 2 years ago and in the last 6 months, I have had nothing but issues. In January I had to have my timing belts replaced (under warranty), then in April there was a issue with the motor using too much oil. They had to replace half the motor (which was under a special warranty). Fast forward to last week, the transmission went!!! I took it back to the dealership just to find out that the 5 yr warranty had expired in the beginning of the month (never knew this was only good from the first time it was bought off the lot.) The dealership was able to get GM to cover a portion of it but I would still have to pay $1600 out of pocket. I feel that they should cover more than that stating all the issues I have been having.I called GM and spoke with a Kathy. She pretty much told me that I should be grateful that they are helping me at all and I can either take the offer or leave it. And that I should discuss with my family the best choice for us as the consumer. Appalling customer service, when asked to speak to someone higher up she told me that she was pretty high up and the decision is already made. I will never buy another Chevy. Buyer beware!

I paid thousands for the GM extended warranty protection plan to get denied on a catalytic converter that is shot. The vehicle is 2 years old and under the federal emissions act warranty and even under my extended warranty. Nowhere on that protection plan paperwork states this would not be covered. I called GM direct and got a run around stating the vehicle was used and that is why it’s getting denied. Then their next excuse was in their records I was a third owner of the vehicle which is not fact. Im the only owner of the vehicle. Then I get “We cannot help you due to you exceeded the miles by 6K so sorry.”Now I have a bill in the thousands after shelling thousands out upfront first so I would be protected from incidences like this. My vehicle is a 2014 Chevy Cruze with 86K miles. I purchased it certified used with 8k miles. I have an extended GM warranty that covers up to 108K miles. Instead GM and the GM Extended Warranty Protection Plan denied my case. I am now seeking the attorney general. Also GM refused to give me my case number.

Left the dealership with a brand new 2016 Buick Enclave on 5-14-16 and returned to the dealership with a flat left front tire on 5-16-16. Not complaining about anything on the dealership end, but the roadside assistance is a joke. Have never needed to use it before, THANK GOD, and will never try to use it again. My husband put the donut spare on himself because no one was available anywhere to assist us. Gave the address where we were but no one could find us so they said. What good is having a service available to use if you cant get use out of it? My husband and I would have still been stranded til today 5-16-16 if he didnt put a spare on himself. My suggestion is DO NOT offer ASSISTANCE if you cant follow through when a customer needs it.

My 2011 Traverse has had many service issues and been unreliable. The local dealer has had an unhelpful and cavalier attitude at best. I have had warranty work 4 times and a recall once in 3 years 9 months. It is in its 3rd water pump. I have 85,000 km on the vehicle (52,000 miles). I asked the agent if he used an upgraded water pump since they were prone to failure. He said he did not know and that they were not prone to failure. (It is all over the internet - they leak from the shaft seal. Both mine did. It is unreasonable to expect to have to replace it every 2 years).I have lost many (uncompensated) days use of this vehicle waiting for warranty work. (The last time the pump went on June 26 & the dealer would not even look at it till July 6. I was vehicleless the entire time. The dealer does not provide a replacement until after they confirm warranty work is needed but then do not look to confirm such for many days). The first time I was vehicleless it was for several days too but I cannot confirm for how many. I have had other issues and now I am just frustrated.

I am writing to complain about Ed Morse Buick GMC Mazda Autoplaza 10133 US Highway 19 Port Richey, FL 34668 727-862-5411. My 81-year-old mother purchased her Buick from the dealership and returned for just motor oil and a cabin filter service at 34k miles and was sold more service than the automobile needed completed. The total bill should have come to $107.95 but she was sold and charged $657.06 for work that was not required. My mother trusted the service adviser and was misled the car needed service performed that would not be required until 150k miles based on GM standards. I feel Ed Morses service adviser took advantage of an elderly customer that relied on a trusted source for car service similar to relying on a financial adviser for advice. The company policy seems to be to recommend service to unaware elderly people concerned for their cars care and then not to offer customer coupons on their website for a savings. The 2012 Buick is new with only 34,387 miles and the service attendant sold automatic transmission fluid replacement, brake fluid replacement, induction service repair work and tire rotation on 3/31/2016 that when only an oil change was needed. The service attendant did not offer the customer coupons for free tire rotation with purchase of oil, $10 off cabin filter or the spend and save offer for the service performed for $75.Since I help manage my mother with her monthly bills and when I learned of a motor oil and filter charge of $657.06 I was beside myself and went to confront the Service Manager for taking advantage of an elderly lady just needing an oil and filter change. We discussed that the replacement of automatic transmission fluid, brake fluid and induction service was not required and my mom was misled into purchasing these services for a 34k mile car. The service manager affirmed she would be refunded with a check of $189.86 plus a free oil change. My expectation was to be credited $486.76 for work not required for misleading an elderly lady on service. At this time we have not received credit to resolve this issue and expect $486.76.

I just came from the GM dealer on University and Atlantic Boulevard in Coral Springs. I own a 2016 Chevy Suburban yes a Chevy Suburban. I was having problems with it starting I wasnt sure if it was the battery or something else. Two days in a row I called Chevy in the Winston Park area Lou back row and tried to get service from my vehicle and was told they were too busy. My daughter-in-law Christina suggested I try the GM dealer in Coral Springs which I did. They not only greeted me upon arrival with a smile but they were actually happy to see me as if I was one of their own.Long story short Mr. ** is the gentleman that helped me from beginning to end. A perfect gentleman I will say. My car needed a new battery I just wasnt sure what the problem was until they put it on the diagnostic. I cannot say anything but good about this GM dealership. Mind you I did not purchase my vehicle from them but they treated me as one of their own. They took care of my problem and again treated me as family. In the future I will definitely seek them out first not only for any problems that might arise but also to purchase a new vehicle if need be.

GMC Terrain - Other family members had this model car and I was impressed with the smooth ride. They seemed happy with the performance so when I was ready to trade cars this is the model that I searched for. Great looking car, gets good gas mileage. Have had no mechanical problems at all. Transports five comfortably with plenty of cargo room. Great all-around vehicle and continually receive compliments on how attractive the car is. But I have had trouble with the WiFi and phone charger outlet. Not sure if it is only with my vehicle but have tried to get it fixed and was told I would have to take it to the manufacturers dealership. I havent done that because it was quite a bit of trouble and I didnt purchase it there. Also, since purchasing the car I have had some physical problems with my shoulders and lifting the back cargo door is a little difficult because it is so heavy. I am thinking about trading for a slightly smaller car that would be easier for me to handle.

Found out GM KNEW the injectors were deficient, so they extended the warranty time and mileage to 200,000 miles and then changed the design on future models. My truck had 179,900 miles but was beyond the warranty time limit, so I asked GM Customer Care if they would just cover the bad injectors and I would pay for all other parts and labor. In October of 2016 the engine light came on, and it was discovered to have been caused by the mass airflow system. I had this part replaced but within a few days the light was on again. I brought the car back to the shop and the part was replaced a second time. Upon test drive, the light again came back on. A third part was ordered and replaced. When the light came on for the fourth time, my mechanic ran through the wiring system but did not find anything out of the ordinary. He ran checks on the gas pedal and various other sensors. He then deduced that the problem was not with any of the sensors, nor any of the mechanical systems in the vehicle. He thought it might be the ECM, but advised me to bring the car to Central Chevrolet to have them look deeper into the issue. The Astra was taken to Central Chevrolet, where they subsequently ran diagnostics and discovered that the ECM was, in fact, bad. I inquired about purchasing an ECM from a parts site that I will not name, but was informed that GM would be unable to or would not program the computer unless it was an OEM part. At this point, my hands were tied. I would have to spend $700 on the part if I wanted my car to run properly again. I bit the bullet and told them to go ahead and move forward with the repair.Central Chevrolet received the part and assigned one of their GM technicians to begin the programming. As the process neared completion, the ECM was bricked. A second ECM was purchased and a second, more qualified GM tech was assigned to do the programming. He was on the phone with either a TAC or TISS representative I cant recall which and together they went through the programming process step by step. Again, the programming failed toward the end and bricked the part. It was not until after this second part failed that GM decided to inform the service department at Central Chevrolet that the pre-2009 Saturn software for this part is no longer available. So here I am now, six months after the engine light first came on and at least six weeks without my vehicle. As I was without the car for several days here and there for troubleshooting between October and March, the inconvenience is even greater. How can GM just let software go away for a car that is not even ten years old? Its software, its not like its taking up a bunch of space in a warehouse somewhere. Additionally, how does GM sell a part to a repair shop TWICE without advising that the software required to make it work no longer exists? And then to wait until AFTER the second part bricks?I called GMs customer service line and spoke with Joe, who sent me to Shaneva. Shaneva informed me that she would call Central Chevrolet for more details, and that I would have to wait 24-72 hours before receiving an update. The call came at the 72nd hour. When Shaneva informed me that in lieu of a resolution, I was being offered an Owners Loyalty Certification, I asked to be directed to a supervisor. I was told my call would be returned within 24-48 hours. I received no response within that time frame, and I actually had to call back again.I have since retrieved my car from Central Chevrolet. It is now in much worse condition than it was when I brought it in, and the vehicle is simply not safe to drive. I expected the original issue to still be a problem. I did NOT expect to be left with a car that I can no longer drive AT ALL! I have been a GM customer/vehicle owner for over 20 years, and I have never had a problem, until now. I am extremely disappointed in the way this situation has been unfolding. When I purchase a car, I expect it to get old and to need repairs. I also expect to have the choice of whether to make those repairs. In this situation, not only do I have no choice, but GM has the gall to offer me an Owners Loyalty Certificate with the expectation that I would purchase another GM product.

My check engine light is on in my 2015 Chevy Malibu. After paying $125 to run a check I was told on September 5 that I need part #12633613 A valve Asm Rocker Arm Oil Control. But the part was not available so it was put on back order. Now 4 months later I am still being told the same thing. I have not been able to get my car to pass inspection because of this so I can’t register my plates which means I am driving on expired plates. When I needed to be towed last night AAA wouldn’t tow me because I had expired plates and I had to pay $80. When I check online several parts websites say the part has been discontinued. This car is only 4 years old. I will still be making payments for 2 more years and I can’t get it fixed. The part generally costs around $100 but since it is unavailable it is now selling for $600 on EBay. Come on GM. Get your act together and honor your products. Please tell me how to solve my dilemma.

My 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD, while still covered by GM’s Factory Power Train Warranty, had two frayed injector wire connectors that were repaired/replaced by GM Authorized dealers using Genuine GM Parts (that come a one-year warranty). A couple months later I pulled into Casper Buick GMC Cadillac (“CASPER GMC”) and was told that 2 injectors had failed but they would be covered 100% by my warranty. Therefore, I approved the work. Later when I went to pick up my truck they told me it would not be covered by warranty and that I needed to personally pay them $2,231.04 or they would not give me my keys or release my truck to me.For two months since then, I’ve made repeated unsuccessful attempts to get a satisfactory resolution and have experienced:(i) Repeated broken promises from Matt **, of CASPER GMC and from and Jay from GM Customer Care (“GM”) to get back to me;(ii) CASPER GMC’s and GM’s willful disregard of the promises made to owners like me in GM’s Factory Power Train Warranty;(iii) CASPER GMC’s repeated and unwarranted refusal to file my warranty claim with GM, despite the fact that my truck is still under GM Factory Warranty for both the injectors (GM Factory Power Train Warranty), and the connector wires (GM Genuine Parts Warranty); and(iv) I was told by Jay at GM Customer Care that if I sought guidance from my attorney, even if such guidance did not include my filing suit, he would no longer be able to speak with me about this issue.(v) I was told by Casper GMC to contact GM Customer Care and was told by GM Customer Care to contact Casper GMC.Casper GMC and GM Customer Care do a good job of watching each other’s back but totally ignore the backs of customers like me.If this sounds like fun to you, please go straight to Casper GMC and buy a truck. I am an owner of a 2013 Cadillac XTS. This vehicle is the third Cadillac car/truck I have owned. I am reaching out to you regarding case **. Ive leased the car in November of 2012, during this time I have had a serious safety issue and major concern. The brakes have failed on 4 different times. I have taken it to the shop, different reasonings why, but no complete/real answer. At this time I do not feel safe and confident driving the vehicle. The dealership which has it now, doesnt want to keep the car, stating it may not sell after. I am trying to get in contact with the sale manager at Crown Cadillac in Watchung NJ. As I will guess they would want me to take the vehicle to New Jersey to turn in, not sure what difference it would make. As stated the car isnt safe for my family, myself and possibly causing a crash on the road. After a week, they reached back to me, stating there is nothing they can or will do for me and have a nice day. Customer service for a loyal buyer, I think not. I will never purchase and/or lease a Cadillac vehicle again.

I own a 2 year old Buick Envision. I heard a noise coming from under the vehicle at only 7k miles. The dealership and GM continually told me nothing was wrong. I did not give up. It took months but they finally determined there was a loose baffle in the exhaust. They finally replaced the exhaust. Dealing with them was extremely difficult. Very recently when leaving for vacation with bikes mounted on the back of the vehicle the car battery was dead. Nothing was left on and the vehicle is supposed to be protected from accessories remaining on and draining the battery. Again, GM is not standing behind the vehicle. The dealerships have prepared or canned answers for everything as to avoid making good on the warranty. As a professional buyer and car enthusiast I cannot recommend anyone buy a GM vehicle. You will not have the warranty you think you have and the vehicles experience more problems than other cars.

We walked into one of the dealerships to check out the new Cadillacs and the new Chevys and have an idea about the cars. When I walked into the dealership, I sat in the back of one of their cars and when I tried to get out, I couldnt. After that, the sales person at the Cadillac dealership approached us and I was disgusted by her attitude. We talked about leasing an SRX and she told us she would like to get us into a 2013 SRX. The car that we brought in had less than 8,000 miles on it. She offered to appraise the vehicle, but to our surprise, she came back with a high lease payment with high down payment for a 2013 SRX even when all incentives and discounts were applied to it. I was even more disgusted by her and her attitude. After that, we left. Bought 2019 Trax 2/8/19. Month later recall letter. Called GMC. told vehicle is unsafe but I could drive it, and they didnt know when parts would be in. I just had to wait till GMC figured it out! I told GMC I did not want a vehicle coming out of the gate with wheels issues. They first spoke of buy out, then I was told they are not going to accept the vehicle back! Since then I have gotten 2 invoices one stating VEHICLE NEEDS RE WELDING OF RIGHT AND LEFT ARM. Took vehicle Friday and was told it didnt need a fix. Questioned them about their finding, and their manager said he stood by his mechanics report. Took it back to dealer who said it was needed. They informed me that they had to take vehicle, and that the other dealer called it wrong. Incompetent mechanics/and putting UNSAFE VEHICLES on road, tire issues? Not acceptable. I will be speaking to an Attorney. I dont want this vehicle and I will take measures, No one forces me to take a used car, sold as new, but work already has to be done! This fix will only last till warranty is up, and then all cost to me! I dont trust anything coming from GMC. Mechanic put me back in the road with a false safety report! 2 different invoices!? Wow.

I bought a late model 2006 Chevrolet Duramax with the LBZ engine. A local Kwik Stop got flood water in their diesel. I didnt find that out until after my Chevy dealer replaced two injectors under warranty. They had a hard time finding them --some national hold. Now, three or maybe four injectors have failed. I emailed GM Customer Service. They responded quickly and called me but according to the lady who called this morning, GM is on backorder status with Bosch. Not only that, she indicated that Bosch may not even be making the injector! Some guys have been waiting all summer for theirs. So my $43k truck is sitting on the dealers lot collecting dust in the sun. A truck with the same engine from New York is sitting there also, waiting. The GM Customer Service lady told me no one else I could talk to would have any other information. I had called Bosch earlier and they also responded quickly, but the guy I talked to couldnt even cross reference the OEM part number for the injector. He said Bosch is the exclusive manufacturer for GM. Go figure.
