My wife and I purchased a 2012 Chevy Equinox new, now it has 58,000 miles on it and it uses oil up to 2 quarts before a scheduled oil change. There is a extended warranty but they only rebuild the cylinder affected by the oil usage and they do not take care of any problems. After that...its been in the shop twice for the engine light on which ended up being low on oil... Im sick of having this Chevy. I wish I could get all our money back on this Chevy product... Never buy a Chevy again.

In 2013 weve purchased 2011 Chevy Traverse with 30,000 miles and ever since we had so many issues with it!!! From engine to traction control issues, engine leak. The car has 90,000 miles and the AC wasnt working - just on the side note we live in Wisconsin and we use AC 3 months out of the year. After check up we were told that the motor in a front fan needed to be replaced. After we paid $300 for that the AC still wasnt working, so we took it back to the shop and we were told that there is a leak in the AC system which will cost $650 to get it fixed!!! 2 weeks later the cars engine breaks down. We contacted General Motors and we were told that the warranty has expired and they cant do anything for us!!! Can someone please advise me what can be done for the General Motor to step up their game and take responsibility for this crap???

Purchased new 2017 Chevy Volt with 24 miles on it 5/25/16. Drove from dealer 4 miles to home and into garage. Plug car in and did not use for 3 days. Returned to car and it was DEAD. Had towed to dealer and learned bad battery which was replaced and informed all was good. Drove two days while overnight charging. Then it sat for 4 days, no drive and plugged in. Car battery died again and is being towed to dealer a second time (100 miles & less than 15 days since taking delivery). Not pleased at all.

GMC Terrain - Other family members had this model car and I was impressed with the smooth ride. They seemed happy with the performance so when I was ready to trade cars this is the model that I searched for. Great looking car, gets good gas mileage. Have had no mechanical problems at all. Transports five comfortably with plenty of cargo room. Great all-around vehicle and continually receive compliments on how attractive the car is. But I have had trouble with the WiFi and phone charger outlet. Not sure if it is only with my vehicle but have tried to get it fixed and was told I would have to take it to the manufacturers dealership. I havent done that because it was quite a bit of trouble and I didnt purchase it there. Also, since purchasing the car I have had some physical problems with my shoulders and lifting the back cargo door is a little difficult because it is so heavy. I am thinking about trading for a slightly smaller car that would be easier for me to handle.

I went to this dealer to order a 2015 GMC 3500HD Sierra 6.0 gas engine, 2-wheel drive, emerald green metallic paint for me to use as my business truck. After waiting 8 weeks, I received a call that the truck was in. The truck the dealer ordered was not a dually. I had already sold the truck I was using for work and now desperately needed a new one. We found one at another dealer 350 miles away and needless to say it was $10,000 more -- white with 4 wheel drive and a diesel engine. Not to mention I had a custom built cap made to order and painted emerald green, which I had to pay an additional $525 to now have painted white. When we finally sat down to sign the contract I pointed out that they made a mistake and had the truck down as a personal loan not a business. They in turn said that was my fault, even though in my file they had copies that they made of all my incorporation papers. For financing, the manager had me sign 3 different contracts for this truck at 3 different rates. He said because he wasnt sure which rate he could get. I have been driving this truck for 2 months now and I’m on the second set of temp plates because the dealer said they arent sure what’s going on with the financing. Needless to say, I havent even gotten a copy of the contract. They said they felt bad and gave me side steps and floor mats that were about $1000 worth. Then on the last visit to see what the holdup was on the plates. They had me sign a business rebate for $1000 thinking I was getting money back they assured me no, that would be going towards the steps and mats. Tomorrow I will be going back to the dealer because now they informed me that my payment is late, on a loan I didnt know they secured. What I do know is that every time I go to Mahwah GMC it costs me $. And this will be my last GM product. It’s a shame because I do like the truck but can’t deal with the snakes! I think GM really needs to take a closer look at who they let represent their product.

I bought a late model 2006 Chevrolet Duramax with the LBZ engine. A local Kwik Stop got flood water in their diesel. I didnt find that out until after my Chevy dealer replaced two injectors under warranty. They had a hard time finding them --some national hold. Now, three or maybe four injectors have failed. I emailed GM Customer Service. They responded quickly and called me but according to the lady who called this morning, GM is on backorder status with Bosch. Not only that, she indicated that Bosch may not even be making the injector! Some guys have been waiting all summer for theirs. So my $43k truck is sitting on the dealers lot collecting dust in the sun. A truck with the same engine from New York is sitting there also, waiting. The GM Customer Service lady told me no one else I could talk to would have any other information. I had called Bosch earlier and they also responded quickly, but the guy I talked to couldnt even cross reference the OEM part number for the injector. He said Bosch is the exclusive manufacturer for GM. Go figure.

Own a 2011 Chevy Malibu and it started acting weird in late February 2016. Finally it just about stopped on the road so I called the dealership. He looked up my car (because I had been there before for service and a recall) and informed me my PowerTrain warranty was already expired. Mind you this wasnt even what I was asking about - I wanted to know if I could bring the car in to be looked at. So immediately it was off-putting. After he told me it was expired, he said they were extremely busy and I could try to bring it in but no guarantees. Well, since he was such a gentleman I obviously said no thanks and hung up. If my warranty is expired, its common knowledge that dealerships are more expensive so I figured I would take it to a local mechanic instead. Turns out the transmission needed a rebuild. It was completely shot. We are already living paycheck to paycheck so I immediately started to panic.Googling how much a repair like this costs and I was terrified... thousands of dollars. Either way, it had to be done because that is my only form of transportation. After a couple different mechanics looking at it, we settled on a mechanic in our town that specializes in transmissions. Got it fixed and it was a little over $3000. Not sure what possessed me to log in to the General Motors website, but I decided to just to see if there was anything out there as far as the transmissions on these particular cars. I had been reading up online and apparently transmission issues are very common in the model I have. After I entered my VIN, I saw that my Powertrain had NOT been expired as of the day I called for an appointment. It actually still had a full 24 hours on it! Cutting it close, but nonetheless! Either the service rep LIED because they were busy and he didnt want to deal with me or he just couldnt read a calendar. Either way, I have been screwed by GM and Paul Masse Chevrolet in East Providence, Rhode Island. Have been battling with GM Customer Service and all they can tell me is that dealerships are privately owned and they would like to offer me a year of SiriusXM or OnStar for my troubles. Im not giving up... The rep I spoke to was so slow to respond to me. Every time she said she would call the next day, and 2-3 days later shed finally call to say she was still working on it and trying to talk to the dealership. So basically I had to pay for their error, and they wont claim responsibility for their employees. It is disgusting.

Took tahoe in for running badly. Told it needed a tune up. Ha. Platinum tip plugs on their Monroney sticker on windshield states platinum tip plugs good for 100k. They cleaned the throttle body. Replaced the platinum tip plugs with of course platinum tip plugs and after 300 dollars still runs rough. Mind u this tahoe has less than 80k miles. Then was told it had a broken motor mount on drivers side. Another 550 to replace. Called GM, no help at all. Give us a 100 back on the 300 dollars already spent for original problem that still isnt fixed. I have been in the car business for 20 plus years. Was a GM and manager for several dealerships. Pigs poor service from GM. Would never buy another GM product!! Terrible customer service!! Talked to Natalie originally and was told they would get involved if the local dealer didnt do anything. After I talked to her, asked for her boss and was told the same bs. Asked for her supervisor and was told couldnt give me that info. This is how gm takes care of their customers??

I am a former executive of GM. While employed, I cautioned management via the PEP Program that for years GM has not fixed a problem with their driving lights on many of their vehicles. After a few years, at least one or both white driving lights burns out usually from a hot socket, Im told. Ive owned several GM vehicles and presently drive a Yukon among them. For years knowing my years with GM, my friends and acquaintances often tell me, You can most always tell/bet the GM vehicle approaching you with at least one driving light out is a GM truck, crossover, etc. at least 90%+ of the time. I have no answer as to why for years this kind of on-going negative on-road advertising has been allowed to exist, do you? If its a supplier wiring harness issue, lets fix it as no amount of TV and other media positive advertising can overcome a day and night visible problem that gets most peoples constant attention and commentary. (In short, would any of us re-buy vehicles that after a few years, long before their lifetime runs their course, visibly advertise that they have a rather simple visible fix that seems to be an endemic GM problem? I think not!) Like Forrest Gump is noted as saying, Stupid is as stupid does. For all our GM families sake, investigate and fix as appropriate this seemingly forever on the road negative adverting. I received an alert from On-Star through email (from General Motors) indicating that I need to have my engine/transmission checked. A few days later the engine light appeared. I didnt notice any malfunction of the car, at least yet. I contacted the dealer & was told that the car should be checked, but I would be responsible for the $150 diagnostics fee if the repair didnt fall under the warranty. I checked the manual & my car is still covered under the transmission/engine warranty, but there are certain engine/transmission repairs that arent covered. I thought what is the reason to have this On-Star alert system. Shouldnt they know the details already? I think this is a ploy to get a customer in & make them pay. Unfortunately, the car is beginning to sputter as Im driving. It doesnt happen during acceleration. Has anyone had this same issue & what was their resolution?

My timing chain needs replacing on My 2009 CTS. The code indicated the failure at 93,000.00. The car was properly maintained so I was surprised at this. In researching this I found it is a common known problem with the 3.6 for many models and years. GM refused to have a recall and chose a warranty extension on a few vehicles by VIN number, but left the majority of their customers stuck with $1,000.00 to $1,800.00 bill depending on where it is repaired. I have always supported GM with half of my family having worked for them. I will NEVER buy another GM vehicle, and will discourage all my clients, (approx 1000) and social media followers, another 1200 from trusting GM again. They are unethical.

I have had nothing but problems when I purchased my 2007 Malibu with the dealership. They fight you on anything that needs repaired. I have a rust coming on the back of my trunk by the metal piece and they now say it has to be rusted all the way through for GM to cover it. They conveniently made it where I would not be able to get it fixed by the time the warranty is over. I have the 100,000 miles. Ive had a part fixed on my front tire portion of my car that is broken again and is no longer under warranty. I will never ever purchase a GM car again. They make it impossible to get any help.

I have a 2010 Chevy Malibu that I bought in October 2014. It only had a little over 14,000 miles at time of purchase. No problems until it reached 73,000 miles about a month ago (as you can see, I dont even put normal annual mileage on my car), when it started having transmission issues. It started when I couldnt back my car out of my garage and then it wouldnt even go into Drive without screeching and jerking. Got it to our local GM dealer, by driving back roads, because my husband couldnt get it to shift out of 1st and 2nd gear. Found out it needed a new transmission already and was encouraged by the shop manager to contact GM, because with this mileage, it wasnt normal, even though all the warranties were expired. I paid $3200 for my transmission. Now my car sounds abnormal and my husband took in to the same GM dealer and was told that my Timing Change would need to eventually be changed ($1500). I contacted GM, spoke with Renee and was told, Due to the age of your car, theres nothing we can do. All this despite the low mileage on my car. Ive been a long-standing GM buyer and will no longer buy any GM product. Since she wouldnt even listen to what I had to say, all she said was that, I will report it, but theres nothing we can do.

From the day we took delivery of this new Hummer H2, it has been nothing short of a nightmare of repairs. The roof seam leaked from day 1 and it took at least a dozen trips to the dealer to fix. The check engine light was next and 2 trips to the dealer fixed that, a new fuel filler neck assembly. Next the speedometer quit working and we had to drive the truck for a year with no idea what the speed was before the parts were available at the dealer to fix. At the same time, the ignition switch failed and was replaced with 1 trip to the dealer. After that the climate control system quit working correctly, blows heat out of one side and A/C out of the other when in the A/C mode. A part called an actuator fixed the passenger side but now the drivers side is blowing heat out like the passenger side. The climate control system has never worked right and never will. Theres nothing like a family summer vacation with the heat on in a $52,000 truck. We have had to just roll the windows down and suck it up until you get home. I have lost tens of thousands of dollars in lost work time taking this truck to be repaired. Would I buy another GM product? I would not take it if you gave it to me. I cant afford the time off work or the repair bills. This truck is a 2004 with 54,000 miles on it and is garage kept, never been off road. It still has the original tires on it and they are only about 70% worn. The customer service dept stated that GM would buy the truck back during the dozen roof repair attempts, but the amount they wanted to give us back should have been a criminal offense after what we paid for this truck.

I have a 2014 GMC Terrain. I was heading to Cooperstown NY with my 15 year old son for a baseball tournament. I was driving at 70 mph on I87 in the passing lane in a driving rainstorm. I put my wipers on high and they quit working! I got myself to the breakdown lane (SCARY). I tried a couple things to fix the situation but it didnt work so the rain let up and I followed a friend 5 miles to the nearest GMC dealer. There they told me the wiper transmission broke and it would cost 450.00. so I am vulnerable position so I had to paid and had to move on! Now when I got back from my trip I researched my issue and went to dealer that I bought my car and no one could help me (no recalls and my mileage was too high (67000)). I didnt realize that I had my wipers on for 67000 miles?? This part is not a serviceable part and also how many miles have I really used those wipers?I am more disappointed in GM CUSTOMER SERVICE in how they are handling this. They do not understand the magnitude of the situation! I researched this and in 2013 GM recalled the same things and in Canada GM recalled 2010-2017 Terrain for the same part number and issue. And also my Terrain was mfg in CANADA but once it is driving in the US it is not covered under the recall of Canada! I was looking for complete payment of 450.00. GM CUSTOMER SERVICE DOES NOT REALIZE THAT A LIFE COULD OF BEEN LOST AND 450.00 IS NOTHING COMPARED TO THAT!!!

We had to take our Buick in due to a leak in the sun roof. GM informed us that that is not covered under warranty. They stated the sun roof is not water tight. It is designed to have some water penetrate where it is collected in a channel and drained. The problem with our leak was that the drains were plugged by the material that landed on the roof and flowed into the drain channels with the water. Since it was foreign material clogging the drain and not a manufacturing defect it is not a warranty item on our car with 13,000 miles. Who knew that a roof was not water tight and cannot be allowed to get dirt or seed pods on it or it might leak. My dealer has stepped up to handle it but not GM as of yet. I have call my 2nd level customer service rep 12 times over 24 hrs and just get voicemail saying my call is important and they will call me back asap. GM has 2 things broken, 1 is obviously a poorly designed sun roof, the other is something you can only laughably call customer service.

This has been going on for years (back to 07) with Sierra, Escalade, Tahoe. Electrical problems (techs call it gremlins) that cause door locks to go up and down, gauges to go crazy, trans downshifting, StabiliTrak, left day time running light will be out (every 2007-2018 GM truck has a DTRL out on one side) because of a bad ground. Dealers say its battery cables or ECU programming. It is a faulty wiring harness and ground connections. Remember the faulty (death) ignition? Nope. It just happened and has already disappeared. GM trucks are garbage. I know, I had three and now am down to two. I also have a Ford (great truck no problems), and Infinity 5.6V8 (which is Nissan - 2000% better truck than any of my GMs). The only decent GM truck out of 20 GM trucks Ive owned over the last 20 years has been the 3500 Dually 7.4L gas (remove CC and replace with performance RV exhaust). I have to strip grounds on my Escalade every other week just to keep it from shutting off. The ground strap from block to firewall near the power brake booster was green and falling apart. Im in FL, with no salt or corrosion. These trucks are slapped together with the lowest bidder supplying the parts. With the way Nissan and Toyota are coming on with the full size (and diesels) I cant see GM having any future in the truck business. They need to stick with competing against Tesla with their Volt (which is twice the car as a Model 3 - and Im an Elon fan). Dodge is coming on REAL strong with their interior. Never thought Id look at a Dodge product until I saw their new RAM products. But GM... as soon as the rest of my GM fleet are done, Ill never buy another GM truck. Nope. They took the bailout. Ford didnt. They have problems and deny them. Other companies admit, fix, pay fine, fire people, and move on (Volkswagen and others). But not GM. Its the old school Detroit thinking... deny deny deny. Thats why they are losing market share and their stock is garbage like their trucks. Ick, I cant wait to get rid of all mine.

I love my GMC Envoy. Very enjoyable ride and mo mechanical problems at all. Im enjoying the multiple CD player and the deep bucket seats. I love the leather interior, the moonroof and the dual closure. I also like the door and window locks, the automatic seats and that they remember which driver you are. I like the interior design and the colors of both interior and exterior. The seats are very comfortable as well. I dislike however how far back the seat belts are attached. Also the center console takes up a lot of space but the way its designed it doesnt hold much so its wasting space.

In May 2019 my son purchased a New 2019 1500 Silverado Trail Boss. He graduated college, got a great job and needed a pickup. He actually purchased the truck 1 month before he graduated because of Chevy Truck Month. Last month we noticed that light passed through the bed of the truck into the wheel well. Looking into the wheel well we saw a 3 split in the wheel well that went through the bed liner. We took it to the dealership and they suggested a patch to weld the steel of the truck and a patch for the factory bedliner because General Motors will not do anything else under warranty. A 6 month old Truck with 8,000 miles that he paid $48k has a defect and General Motors will patch it. Patch the wheel well, the bed and the bedliner?I called General Motors after a complaint/claim was filed and spoke to, a Senior Advisor of Customer assistance. She claimed even though they came to that resolution they have no idea how the body shop is going to fix it, they dont know how or even if they are going to fix the bed liner. I was told nobody at customer service knows anything about the construction of the vehicle because they do not have the technical training for that. I asked to give me to someone who did have that technical training to answer my questions regarding the bed material, the patch if its a weld, etc and I was told there is no one that could help me. I was also told there was no management above the Senior Advisor, my response was you dont have a boss to which she replied, yes I have a boss so I asked to speak with him/her and apparently her boss, the head of the customer assistance branch of General Motors does not talk to customers. The Senior Advisor said GM only will replace the bed if it has multiple defects. When I said It is going to look like it has been patched and then this was the last straw she actually said Well, like I told your son if it doesnt look good, he could replace the truck bed and pay for it on his own. THE TRUCK WAS $48,000, IT IS 6 MONTHS OLD, HAS 8,000 MILES AND GM SUGGESTS THE CUSTOMER SHOULD PAY FOR A REPLACEMENT OF A GENERAL MOTORS DEFECT?? At the end of the conversation GMs final resolution was a patch and that the work would be under warranty for 12 month and if it didnt look like new the customer could pay for the replacement. My questions are: 1. What about the bed and wheel well that have be exposed to rain since it was manufactured will there be corrosion? 2. What about the fact that he now has a less than Excellent Carfax report showing body work making the car less valuable to sell or trade in? 3. What about he has a patched bedliner and sheet steel weld patch on a New truck? Are they going to cover any problems stemming from this fix?4. Why would it ever be acceptable for your a Senior Advisor in customer service to suggest more than once that if the patch for a factory defect decreases value or negatively affects the aesthetics of the new vehicle then the customer could pay for it.I have owned 10 General Motors vehicles in my life some trucks, some cars, suv. I guarantee you I will NEVER buy another GM product, my kids and family will never buy a gm product, I am disgusted they will not stand behind their product or the quality of their product. We asked GM replace the bed not the vehicle and they wont even replace the FACTORY installed liner. General Motors is a disgrace to Made in the USA products.

I purchased a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado in February 2017 with only 26 test drive mileage. Fast forward to August 2019 the vehicle wouldnt go into drive or reverse so I had it towed to Bomnin Chevrolet in Dadeland service department. I have always kept up with my OnStar diagnosis report which never had any major concerns just alerts when we need oil change or minor stuff i.e. tire needs air. The vehicle had no accidents or major repairs ever done to it so Im not understanding how the service department tells me I need to pay $4,600 for new transmission. I called GM customer relations and advised them of this but 2 weeks after all the back and forth no one to this day has resolved anything. Im still being asked to pay my normal monthly truck payment and no one is even hearing my main concern which is if such a new vehicle (2017) needs a transmission it has to be a faulty transmission in the vehicle all along. I kept up with my oil changes, the vehicle never had any accidents or off the market parts placed on it.

NEVER Buy from GM!!! I purchased a 2019 Silverado 3500 and reported transmission issues and funky dash issues from the first week I owned it. The truck was in the shop 9-11 times in 8 months. Corporate case manager was useless and did nothing but say, sorry!!! Truck would surge when in regen mode.. radio would be stuck on full blast. Clock wouldnt hold correct time or sometimes go backwards! GM was happy to take my money but fixing the truck... NOPE! After it ran into my camp trailer twice and putting a hole in the back of my garage wall it was a safety issue for my family! Dealership did everything they could - no issues with them! They even submitted a request for GM to buy the truck back. GM said no and they wanted to waste more time working on it. I ended up trading it in before it ran someone over. Now GM says you dont own it any more so we wont help with any cost... GM DID NOTHING during the 8 months it was in the shop. Why start now. I was told every step GM is here for you. NOPE! all I got was, were sorry, and we will get back to you. 1 week, 2 weeks later nothing!!! We will get you free oil changes. Nope! Never completed a thing they said they would. If I could give -1 star I would!

Coolant leaks gradually from the waterpump until engine overheats. GM knows this is an issue with this car. This car was bought brand new and was sold to my father-in-law, a WWII veteran who was 87 years old when he bought the car. Car was brought back to the dealership multiple times soon after it was purchased. The issue was never fixed properly and car overheated again and again and again.Ownership was transferred to us when my father-in-law was diagnosed with dementia and could no longer drive. As second owners we were never informed there is a special warranty covering this exact issue. The car has overheated for us multiple times. Weve spent over $1,000 trying to get this issue fixed. GM refuses to reimburse us and cannot seem to give a reasonable explanation as to why the dealership (Muzi Chevy in Needham, MA) never notified us of this special warranty even though we brought the car back there ourselves for this very issue - GM never notified us of this special warranty either. Terrible experience - terrible car. We will NEVER buy another GM vehicle.

Bought brand New in 2011, my wife LOVES it. 2016, Exhaust Manifold & Catalytic Converter cracked. My wife brought it in. Dealer, Goldstein Buick GMC; Albany, NY; was going to charge $3000+ to replace. They Told her there was NO recall with this fix. A third party garage did the work for $1500. I called GMC and was told would NOT be reimbursed because work was done at third party garage. The Rep told me, Wait a Minute, the garage is not Warranted. THE TRUCK is Warranted! Plus, we just saved you Half the Price for the job! Goldstein Buick GMC was going to charge us over $3000! I looked up online and found 10 recalls with the Terrain. My wife found a letter claim form in her glove box. We filled it out and sent it in with the receipt. Still waiting for a refund. One week later; The Transmission & Transfer Case catastrophic, Mechanical Breakdown. Manufacture Defect. 55,000 miles!! GMC-JUNK. Fighting again.

This is terrible. I had my 2019 GMC Denali 2500HD in for an accident repair since August 23rd. Have use my one month insurance rental up and have been without a truck which I use to pull my boat to make a living. I have used and exhausted all remedies which include calling my insurance company to get extension, Going to the dealer and calling GMC to get something to drive with a no from each of them. They cant give me a timeline for a part to come in. Its not my fault GM is on strike and Im being held hostage for this part. I have bought 3 trucks in 3 years and will never buy a GM again. Another note hit a concrete pole doing around 40 mph. Broke the windshield with my head and the airbag didnt deploy. 18k in damages which includes frame damage. Anyone have any suggestions on what to do.

I am writing in regards to my recent Service on my truck at Woodlands Hills Ca. GMC. I have a couple things that needs to be addressed. In reviewing the details on my receipt it indicated that they put 9 quarts of oil in my truck. That cant be the case as the truck only holds 6 quarts. In doing a comparison of my 2-15-17 and yesterday’s receipts, I noticed in the inspection of the Brakes Pads does not make any sense. 2-15-17 Brake Inspection noted the front brakes at 6mm and the rear brakes at 5mm. 7-27-17 Brake inspection has the front brakes at 8mm and the rear brakes at 9mm. I have not had my brakes done and the pads cannot have gotten better. They should be more worn. This leads me to believe that the brakes were not check at all. Which further leads me to believe if any work was been done on my vehicle. I was advised I would be give a refund of the 3 extra quarts of oil by the Service Manager. This borders on fraud if not outright fraud.

I have taken it to the dealership here WHILE IT WAS DOING IT!!! And they still couldnt diagnose it! Are you kidding? This has been going on for months now. So I call GM for assistance. UNBELIEVABLE how they will NOT help... at ALL! I will NEVER buy another GM product as long as I live! It is the absolute worst customer service to deal with. They do not care whatsoever. Once you are out of warranty, THATS IT! I have read so many complaints here and elsewhere. They are so true!! BUYERS BEWARE OF BUYING ANYTHING GM. I purchased a 2013 GMC Sierra new and always had the truck serviced at the selling dealer. Last Oct. my drivers side door handle came off in my hand. This has never happened to me with any vehicle I ever owned, and I have owned many. Colonial GMC in Charlottesville, Va. was my selling dealer so I went there and requested it be replaced under the extended warranty that I purchased good for 100,000 miles. Was told it wasnt covered under that warranty and had to pay to have it replaced. Bill was in excess of $300. Ok, paid and moved on.4 months later another door handle broke off on the rear door and was even being used much. Thinking this was an unusual I researched this problem and to my surprise realized these door handles have been breaking on Silverados and Sierras routinely, but to date GM has not had a recall or a TSP for this problem. Contacted GM and they told me I would receive a callback to resolve the issue. 3 days later I got a call from the dealer telling me I was out of luck, they would not do anything unless I paid the full price. Ok, I thought, I paid $63000 for a truck and they wont help with a door handle. I bought and $40 to install it. Bottom line is I will go back to buying a Ford or Dodge, had good service from them. Done with GM for a $17 door handle.

PLEASE USE CAUTION WHEN PURCHASING A 2020 GENERAL MOTORS PRODUCT. GM has no available parts to fix them, should you have an accident or something breaks. My 2020 GMC Terrain has been sitting in an auto body repair shop waiting on a rear left door since June 1st of 2020. My rental car insurance coverage has met the policy maximum as of June 26th, and now Im having to pay an additional $200 a Week for a rental, while my car sits waiting on a GM part. Their response to me was we have no parts available with no date of when parts will be available. I was informed by the repair shop it could be next week it could be 6 months, could be a year from now. GM is unable to provide a date when they expect to manufacture parts. GM is costing $800 of my monthly net income and has provided no customer service of any type. Ive called GM directly with no response other than the parts are on backorder. Ive filed a Customer Complaint with GM and with the Federal Trade Commission. - Hope this helps save someone a good deal of expense and aggravation. Thank you and take care.

2014 Chevy Captiva key stuck in ignition. My key cannot be removed from the ignition of my car when it is in park due to the same engineering defect addressed by GMs special coverage adjustment which covers millions and millions of cars - not including mine. It is costing me $1100.00 in parts and labor to fix this issue which has drained my battery and left me stranded on many occasions. I should not have to pay for GMs ignition design defect. GM should be held accountable for ANY of its vehicles exhibiting ignition and shifting defects, as it is already well known for causing deadly accidents due to engineering oversights. I am hoping to receive cash assistance from Chevy to cover the labor.

As an owner of a 2011 Chevrolet Traverse, a GMC Sierra, and having previously owned a 2010 Buick Enclave, I know I will never choose to purchase another GM Vehicle. I have had almost identical problems with the two SUVs. Both had major problems with steering, where the steering wheel locks up and will not turn quickly (almost as if the power steering goes out). This is extremely scary when you are making a turn while yielding to oncoming traffic. I had this repaired in my Enclave and it required removing the motor to repair $$$. The Traverse has had very similar problems with the timing chain which needs to be replaced (just as it happened with the Enclave). I just had the AC blower and a tire sensor replaced and was told by the mechanic that the timing chain would still be covered under warranty since the car has less than 120K miles so I went ahead and let them do the other repairs ($600 worth) only to find out that the timing chain ($3500) would not be covered under the warranty. The car is now losing power so Im sure it wont last much longer. These cars are junk after a few years and each time I called Chevrolet Cares and they would do absolutely nothing to help.

2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 Z71. Since the vehicle was picked up at the dealer, the truck was pulling to the right. Not drifting, it was pulling. Wasted time out of my day and brought it back to the dealer. They aligned the front end. When picked up it was still pulling to the right. I decided to bring it to a dealer closer to my office and they aligned the front end again and rotated the tires. Lo and behold, still pulling. I dropped it off again and they adjusted the steering sensor and rotated the tires from left to right. Still pulling. I called GM and after being on hold for over 45 minutes they told me they would look into it. 4 days later they called me and said it might be the tires and they are not covered under warranty that I would have to contact Goodyear. I have no idea what to do next. My advice: STAY AWAY FROM GM PRODUCTS. THEY DONT CARE ONE BIT ABOUT THEIR PRODUCTS OR CUSTOMERS.

Found out GM KNEW the injectors were deficient, so they extended the warranty time and mileage to 200,000 miles and then changed the design on future models. My truck had 179,900 miles but was beyond the warranty time limit, so I asked GM Customer Care if they would just cover the bad injectors and I would pay for all other parts and labor. I am an upset customer and relative of an upset customer. My mother purchased a 2018 GMC Terrain in January 2018 and this car has had nothing but problems. On May 4th 2018 the car was taken to Jim Causley GMC for repairs which to us seems to be severe. The car stopped in the middle of a busy intersection and an error message came across the dashboard which read, This car is unsafe to drive, and the car stop working and was driving erratic. After the vehicle was towed back to Jim Causley GMC they kept the vehicle for approximately one week and I asked the service adviser the extent of the damage and he stated that he was informed by the service manager that he was not at liberty to disclose this information and they released the vehicle to me. I proceeded to drive the vehicle a few miles and the vehicle stopped on me in the middle of a busy intersection and once again I received the same error message which read that, This vehicle is unsafe to drive. I cannot believe that the technicians at Jim Causley GMC worked on this vehicle for a week and claimed that it was safe and road ready and yet again I am having the same mechanical issues.

GM customer service and appreciation is so poor, I’ll never again purchase a GM product, after my husband and I have been loyal GM owners all our lives. On October 13th, we were in an unfortunate vehicle accident where my vehicle has been in the repair shop since October 17th. Since this time, parts for my vehicle repair are still in an “Unknown” status. The dealership escalated parts with GM as unavailable on October 31st, however after not being able to receive an ETA, I reached out to GM directly to escalate this concern on December 3rd. December 5th was able to speak to my case worker who reached out to the dealership on the same day. December 10th, I was finally provided an update from my case worker but only confirming all the details I already knew; My parts are unavailable, escalation has been file by dealership, and they would be sent when they are available (no ETA). The only detail he provided me that I wasn’t aware of was GM wasn’t the point of contact, my dealership was and there was nothing more GM could do. My case worker was unsympathetic in every conversation we’ve had, only re-iterating the whole country has been impacted by the GM strike. I then emailed the CEO of Chevrolet, Mary Barra, on December 10th, in which I received another case work. After patiently waiting, finally received a call December 15th from my new case worker. This one was worst than the last in regards to customer service. Saying the same thing as the last case worker about the GM strike and parts not available, only worse, she kept insisting my case first escalated on December 10th. I’m sure you can imagine how far my frustration had gone by this point. I requested to speak to her manager since it was obvious she was only performing the same actions as the last case worker, only more poorly. I was given a 24-48 hour turn around. Finally, December 22, got a call from her manager and again got nowhere, no update. Today is December 29 and GM still has no update on parts for my vehicle yet they are still pushing the same vehicles to production.

Got a 2017 GMC Sierra and the chrome wheels started peeling. Warranty had me give them 500.00 to replace the wheels which I did. Got new wheels on, got home from dealership and looked the wheels over. To say the least they looked like **. I could see sand scratches all through the chrome and pit marks everywhere. I took them back to the dealership the next day and they said there was nothing they could do. Fast forward a year and 7 days and the chrome is peeling, and the tires wont hold air. I took them to a tire shop and they pull me into the garage to show me that the chrome is peeling off and corroding underneath where the tire seals. Clearly these wheels were refurbished and not prepped correctly. I contacted GMC multiple times and since I was 7 days out of warranty there was nothing they could do. Needless to say, Ill never purchase another GMC product again. Its sad when you spend so much on these trucks that they wont replace something so simple and go back on the company that refurbished the wheels.

In Oct 2013, my wife and I purchased a new 2013 Sonic sedan. A few months later it developed a creaking noise in the steering at low speeds as well as a scrunching noise in the rear when sitting in the car each time. The dealer tried unsuccessfully to fix it on several occasions in which the car spent about 6 weeks at the dealership. They swapped out parts from other cars, replaced new parts; all unsuccessful. After owning the car for 6 months I had had enough so I traded it on a 2014 Sonic (what a mistake). The scrunching noise in the rear started soon after. But as winter set in 7 months after buying it, the creaking noise started in the newest car. Again the dealer attempted to fix it, telling me it was cured. But when I picked up the car the noise was still present. Again this car spent several weeks at the dealership - finally my car was dropped back off for the last time; creaking still there. GM customer service had been following the issue. I called the dealership and GM, told them the noise was still there. A few weeks went by and today GM call center called and explained that they could not fix the issue and that the creaking noise was a normal characteristic of the car and they would no longer try to fix this issue. I have never been so frustrated.

Driving 42 Years I have always owned a GM Vehicle. After I finish paying off this 2016 Lacrosse I will never purchase another GM Vehicle again. I took it to a independent service provider DK Automotive 712 E 18th St Antioch, CA 94509 and they listened and found the issue an internal problem with the transmission but they couldnt do the work because its still under the powertrain warranty but they did get in contact with a Chevrolet in Concord CA and I had the car transferred to them and they Concurred With DK after doing their own testing. Spoke with the Dealership today and they wont have the Car ready until Tuesday. Oh I also had to pay DK $150.00 to do the work that Elk Grove Buick should have done. I also was working with ** of GM PH# 866-790-5600 EXT ** who was going along with Elk Grove Buick and was willing to be a go between but wasnt pushing the envelope then had the nerve to tell me today that at least we found the issue. No (I) with my persistence, Footwork, and money found the issue. She also told me the rental Im forced to drive is not covered because its not a GM vehicle and they only cover three days of rental even though its taking more than three days to fix the vehicle. So Im done with GM. They just Kicked a long time customer to the curb.

I purchased a 2011 GMC Yukon with 82K miles from Carmax. I paid $29K for this vehicle. This had the 5.3L engine & 4WD which is needed here in MI. At 125K miles the transmission gave out - no prolonged degradation, just failure over 1-2 days. I purchased a remanufactured transmission costing $3K (including installation). Adding more injury, GM charged me $200 to flash the transmission. Then at 140K miles, StabiliTrak and Traction Control codes appear along with the check engine light. The engine started running rough at idle with slightly reduced gas mileage. I changed the plugs, plug wires and coil to no avail. Analytics would show random misfire for cylinder 8. Compression check showed the cylinder was 60 psi low. Leak-down test showed the problem was either the camshaft or a lifter, meaning engine replacement. Ive taken good care of this vehicle with regular service and am extremely disappointed I couldnt get more mileage out of the engine. BTW, this is the 2nd GMC where both the engine and transmission had to be replaced at similar mileage (a 1985 GMC Jimmy). GMC is not the Professional Grade they claim to be, but the opposite. I will never purchase another GMC vehicle.

Own 3 Chevy Sonics. 2014 I bought mine, loved it so much we bought our 2 children one each in 11/16. In Jan of this year (2018) our sons car burnt up while it was parked and ignition was off for at least an hour. No modifications were made to this car. Fire department, and insurance company both said that the fire started under the hood. We called GM immediately. It took over 3 1/2 months for GM to even send anyone to look at it and it was after the insurance company had to threaten them. I went back to dealership, and was told that the car was still under factory warranty and they should have investigated it as soon as it happened. The GM investigator that did speak to me was rude and told me (3 months after the fire), I am sure the car has been scrapped for metal by now...which it had not been. He also said Well we dont know that the car catching on fire was fault due to the motor...and I replied You wouldnt know cause you sent no one out. On April 3, 2018 I emailed our insurance company and they said that GM would have a decision in 2 weeks. I have requested a status regularly and it has been 7 months with no response as in no call, email or letter from GM. All I asked was that they stand by their warranty. I understand that to GM this is a game of corporate bullying. They have no interest in providing a valid service to their customers. Their mission statement We at GM make a strong commitment to our customers, employees, partners, and other important stakeholders. They continue to promote that they are guided by five principles including Safety and Quality first...Create Lifelong Customers. 9/15/17- Purchased 2014 Chevy Equinox, also paid $2500 for an extended warranty with CNA National. 7/18/18 - Vehicle just shut off while driving for maybe 10 minutes. It felt as if the battery had died. Please note I had no other issues prior to this with the vehicle. Tried to start it, and it sounded as if someone was playing the drums under my hood. Pushed car to safe location, and went home for the evening.7/19/18 – I got a ride to the vehicle with hopes of it starting. Same thing happened. So, I reached out to my warranty company (CNAN) and was told that I can have the vehicle towed through their Roadside Assistance to a repair shop of my choice, and once an estimate was prepared, they would pay over the phone with a credit card. I had the vehicle towed to Quality Buick GMC in Alton, IL. 7/20/18 - Received a call from Quality that timing chain was busted, along with several other items, and engine was full of sludge. They stated I was still covered under GM Powertrain warranty and they submitted all of the information to GM, and got me a rental through Enterprise.7/24/18 - Received a call from Quality stating that GM declined repairs, and now extended warranty company would not pay for the rental I had for days. I contacted GM and requested a supervisor to discuss options. Supervisor stated that they would review case and contact me within 2 days. With the vehicle having under 100,000 miles, she didn’t see any reason why they wouldn’t cover it. She asked where the vehicle was located and I started Quality Buick GM in Alton, after searching their database, she said they were not certified to do the repairs, and the vehicle would have to be towed to another location. She reached out to Jack ** in Wood River, and also as a courtesy, reached out to Chevy Roadside assistance to do a Dealer to Dealer transfer at no cost to me. I was very grateful for that. She said the roadside assistance company would reach out to me within 20 minutes, and gave me a number to call if they did not. 45 minutes went by and I called Chevy Roadside Assistance to follow up on the transfer. Of course, they had no information, and was not eligible for the transfer. I contacted GM Warranty again, and they said she was not allowed to do that, and there was nothing they could do at that moment, and case was re-opened and pending investigation. Reached out to CNAC (extended warranty company) and Roadside Assistance wasn’t available with them either until 7 days from last time used. Frustrated, I hang up, and look for other options online. I received a call from Allstate Ins. that they were attempting to pick up the vehicle, but there was a $300 balance with Quality Pontiac before vehicle could be transferred. They stated they were called out by Chevy Roadside Assistance, who just told me they had no information for transfer. So, I reached out to Quality for information on balance owed. They stated $100+ for opening up the engine, and the remaining balance was for the rental. Also, vehicle would not be released until balance was paid. I explained to them that GM Warranty needed a Certified Dealer to estimate repairs, and they informed me they are a certified dealer. I called GM Warranty back to let them know what was going on, and they said the other person I talked to must be new, or not know what she is doing, because Quality is a certified dealer. I would only be getting charged more money by having another dealer open up the engine to do the estimate. I explained to them I would be leaving the vehicle at Quality, and gave them the contact info for the service department for investigation on repairs.7/26/18 - Received a call from GM Warranty that repairs would not be covered due to it not being a manufacturer defect. That was their final answer. I spoke with 2 different service departments, Quality, and Jack ** and they stated there is no way the sludge in the engine could have been caused in the 10 months I’ve had the vehicle. Oil changes were always done on time, and I have proof of that. So, how it is that I now have a car with $6000+ damages, and a 14,000 balance on, $600 balance for rental + Quality doing estimate, and I’m responsible. I drive my car to make a living, and not only am I without a car, I’m now also without a job. I am beyond frustrated, and any advice on what to do would be greatly appreciated.

I have owned a 2002 Astro van for the past 15 years, which I purchased use with 150,00 miles on it. It was in need of a rear differential overhaul which I did myself. This vehicle now has 308000 miles on it, and has only required normal maint and repairs the entire time I have owned it. The engine has only had the timing chain replace at 280000 miles. Still gets 20 mpg on highway, 17 around town, interior is still in good shape and body is tight & rust free. Although I have other newer vehicles I use this as my go to vehicle for daily use because I enjoy driving it. Just thought I would say something positive when it is deserved. From day one this car has had nothing but problems. We brought it to the dealers attention that the rear driver tail light needed replacing while ON their lot to purchase it. Was brushed off (should have been the 1st clue). Continued problems with Navigation unit, Radio, Heater, A/C, Infotainment issues; drive train and/or transmission, door handles constantly breaking and the dealership here in Tallahassee could care less. Have 2 open tickets with GMC and STILL not getting anywhere. Being dyslexic and fully disabled/handicapped; my husband bought this car specific to help me. NOT happy!!

After buying my 3rd truck from GM at this point I’m potentially done with them. 2 year old Sierra needed the radiator replaced because of a faulty design which had a hole in the radiator. Dealership told me in exact words that this should not happen on a 2 year old vehicle. GM took over a week to review my case then to call me and explain that no reimbursement would happen because I didn’t leave my vehicle at the dealership until they had a answer. No coverage for the repairs would be happening. So if I had been without a vehicle for over a week waiting for GM they would just of potential offered to cover the repairs.GM customer service called me 4x during the week asking the same questions that were given to them from the initial complaint. I am not someone to expect or ask for assistance but felt it was only right after their only dealership stated this was something that should not be needing to be replaced. I’ve kept up on all maintenance and consistent service records through their dealership. I will be taking my business elsewhere as this company has gotten enough of my business buying 3 trucks over 60k each and they can’t even show any loyalty to a routine repeated customer.

I was driving on Oregon coast on a vacation. Just bought this truck with 39000 miles and all of the sudden the steering locking up and took everything I could do to turn to a safe stop. Had the vehicle repaired at a Chevrolet dealership in Newport who were great to work with. I called GM and this truck has been out of warranty for 4 thousand miles, and they only wanted to pay half, and give me credit for accessories. This could have cause me to get into a bad accident with my family in it. The steering gear failed all of a sudden with no warning. I have had paint issues with this truck and now safety problems. They will not stand up for craftsmanship of truck and is still worth around 48000 dollars. I have owned these trucks my whole life and now it will be the last.

I purchased 2011 Equinox Dec. 2010 new with 65 miles on it. It has been in the shop for repairs ten times from Feb. 2011 to Mar 2014. Engine problems (twice) same thing, transmission, air conditioning, seat belts. All was under warranty. Recently, my Equinox was hit by another car. It was hit on the driver side, front wheel and front. The body shop quoted a price of $8,400 for repairs. It ended up $9,633. The body shop had my vehicle for almost a month to repair. The second day, after I picked it up from the shop, the engine light came on. I took it back to the body shop. They had to take it to a GM shop to run a diagnostic test which they charged $97.00 which I paid. The #2 coil needed replacing. They said this was not covered under my 100,000 mile power train. They are saying this was not related to the accident. NOT A HAPPY PERSON HERE. I have bought 3 other GM cars. No problems. I thought that if you bought a vehicle new, you would have only basic minor problems. I have 76,425 miles on my vehicle and it should be worth about $14,000 to $17,000. Once this vehicle is repaired, Im trading it.. I WILL NOT BUY ANOTHER GM CAR. I WILL BUY NISSAN, FORD, OR TOYOTA. YOU JUST LOST ANOTHER CUSTOMER.

After 83,000 miles on my Hummer 3 the head went out. The head has the same issue I was told by the dealer that the recalled 5 cylinder canyon head was having when GM recalled it. The cost for repair was $2705. GM made me believe that they would help me out but after the bill was paid 3 days later I received a phone call informing me that they would not help in this matter. At the GM dealer they did say that a head should not go bad after 83,0000 and thought the main office would do something. My Saturn Ion has a recall on it due to ignition problems. I was assured by the GM customer service people that I would get a loaner vehicle while my car is being serviced. I called the dealership to make an appt as instructed only to be told I would not get a loaner but instead a shuttle would be provided to and from home..which does not work for me since we only have one vehicle for a family of 5 and I have tons to do on a daily basis. I depend on my vehicle. Yesterday afternoon the ignition on my car completely locked and therefore could not drive anywhere. This happened late afternoon so I called GM. I was able to get an appt set up but was told the part needed would not be available until a week later. I called customer service and I was told not to worry about it since I would be able to get a loaner car. By the end of the day I got a call from the dealership telling me they had a part and my car could be fixed in an hour however since my car would not turn on I had to call Roadside assistance. I was told they had to tow it to the nearest dealership which turned out wasnt the place I had been in contact with. So I called GM customer service back. I was told not to worry my car would be towed and I could go either that afternoon or early next morning to pick up a loaner car. Turns out that afternoon the service manager from the dealership was gone therefore I could not get a loaner car but I was assured by the customer service rep to call in the morning and everything would be taken care of . I called early morning and after 45 minutes of being given the run around, I was told I should get a call back within 24 hours..wow..I said well by then it will be too late..I need a car now since I have several appts today . One of them being a long awaited appt (4 months wait) at my sons Autism clinic.. Customer service rep said okay I will call you back as soon as I get something resolved for you. An hour later I called the dealership to see what was going on...I was transferred to the general manager who was extremely rude. He advised me that GM never provided loaner cars and that if they did they have to pay and send him an email authorizing. I was told the night before by customer service that the email had been sent. So I called GM customer service back after an hour I was told Sorry maam but whoever gave you that information gave you incorrect information. We do not lend out loaner cars. The dealership has to do it at their own discretion. I am beyond angry at this point... I dont understand why we have to have our lives disrupted and turned upside down because GM couldnt get it together and put in the right parts. So now here I am years later paying the price for their incompetence. What really makes me mad is all that flip flopping that I got from customer service... You either do or you dont. There shouldnt be any maybes or I thinks from such a big company. In the meantime because of that, my husband lost a days pay which is a lot for someone living paycheck to paycheck and my sons autism therapy has been pushed back two and half months. Thanks a lot GM.

My father is 87 years old and leased a 2015 Buick Lacrosse as he had faithfully either purchased or leased General Motors cars for decades. Unfortunately, he has been diagnosed with cancer, was hospitalized and is now living in an assisted living facility in Cleveland, Ohio. His physician has recommended that he no longer drives due to him being a fall risk and just his overall decrease in acute motor skills, thus, enabling him to have the needed precision and rapid flexibility needed to drive effectively. As a result, my father turned his car in to General Motors only to be told, cancer or no cancer, unable to drive or not at now 87 years old, he still owes roughly $8,000 on the remainder of his lease and mind you the car has been sold or re-leased. To that end, General Motors will now receive double payment for a car my father can no longer drive. As his daughter, I think this is awful without regard for the plight of senior citizens. I think this is nothing less than highway robbery and greed on the part of General Motors. Why are they leasing cars to 87 year olds anyway without a clause that addresses acute illness or inability to drive by virtue of a doctors orders??? I believe General Motors should be ashamed of themselves for taking undue advantage of the elderly...but then again why should they care when the CEOs and CFOs responsible for making and executing leasing policy and procedures have been raking in money and reaping the benefits of million dollar bonuses forever... Bet you will not see one of them standing in a Walgreens line choosing between medication, food or assisted living rent while simultaneously paying for a sold, leased vehicle they no longer own... Way to go General Motors. Rape the elderly all the way to the bank!

Tale of woe with my Chevy Silverado. If you dont want to read this entire t
Tale of woe with my Chevy Silverado. If you dont want to read this entire tale of woe then let me sum it up here. Your Chevy truck may rust out to the point of being pulled off the road because of rust in as little as 84,000 miles making it a loss for resale or trade in. Ive had a Chevrolet Silverado since 2003. I purchased it new. It is an automatic V8 Z71. The off road sport model. This story isnt about the multitude of issues that it has had regarding brakes, brake lines, rotors, wheel hubs, and bearings. No, thats another story. Back in 2003 I worked out a price, with trade in of about $23,000. Since then, and as of this writing 2014, Ive put in about $7000 of non-maintenance work and parts into it. Yes, its going on 11 years old now but its only got 84,000 miles on it and it pretty much looks near new from about ten feet away. The other day I took it to my service station for an oil change and inspection. It seems that the frame is rusted out so much that an inspection sticker is impossible. The recommendation is to get rid of it as repair of the frame would be expensive as the rust is widespread and affects cross members that are pivot points. So, Im stuck with a truck that looks great on the outside but has a rusted frame that makes it junk status in a trade-in and unsellable privately as its not inspected. The vehicle has what I figure as half of its mileage. Id expect to get at least 160,000 miles instead of the 84,000 it currently has. Why? Because even though I do live in the snow belt in Maine where road salt is used, I have a Tahoe that is 14 years old, has 164,000 miles on it (double the mileage), has been driven in the same area and housed in the same garage and has a frame that has a few years left in it.I called GM. All Ill say is that I got a case number and promise of being called back. That never happened. I called and got another case number as there was no record of the first with the promise of a call back. That didnt happen. I took it to a chevy dealer, on my own, who lifted it and documented the issue. They called GM and I was promised a call from them. That didnt happen. I called again. My case number was classified as issue resolved. My last tussle with GM was a flat youre over warranty so theres nothing we can do. Two weeks to get that final answer. So what was I hoping for? A deal on a new vehicle? Some repair funding? An apology? Anything would have been okay. In looking for a new truck last week I did find out that Toyota had a horrendous frame rusting issue in some trucks from 2001-2004. What did they do about it? Up until 2012 they volunteered owners of these vehicles a new frame installed at Toyotas expense or 150% blue book value of the vehicle. Thousands of truck owners were contacted and restitution was made. What about after 2012? They will still come to some restitution on a case by case basis as long as you own the vehicle. So, a warning. If youve got a GM vehicle and have been happy with it like I have with my older tahoe, well thats wonderful. But, the next GM vehicle you purchase could be great or it could be a disaster that will drain your bank account and cause you to have to purchase a new vehicle before youre ready. With GM, its a crap shoot.Other notes: Notice driving/headlights out on cars as they pass. Most are GM. (my truck loses them all the time). Look for used trucks on Craigslist. You’ll see a bunch. 2/3 of them a Chevys. When I see someone in a parking lot with a Silverado truck that is about the same year as mine I ask about it. I hear the same tale of woe.

I purchased a new 2019 Chevy Blazer in June 2019. In October 2019 another driver ran a red light and hit me. My car had front end damage that I have now been waiting over 4 months for repair on. GM cannot tell the dealership or the repair shop when the parts will be in and will not assist in putting me in a replacement vehicle in the interim. I started a claim within their customer service department at corporate and cannot get anyone to assist me or return my calls. I have been waiting over a month to speak to an actual person to help me. In the interim I have no vehicle and am out of pocket almost $5,000 in rental car fees. GM has forgotten the customer in customer service and as someone whose last 4 vehicles were GM, it is disappointing to see. I own a 2012 GMC Terrain that is covered by a GMPP. The vehicle is 5 years old and has 28K miles on it. I noticed some mold growing in the carpet. I have a 2018 Chevy Trax awd. On 8/4/21 my engine died. We assume as they really havent told us yet what is wrong. We had the car towed to our dealer Outten Chevy in Hamburg PA. Immediately they started coming up with reasons to void the 5 year, 60,000 mile power train warranty. They have used several excuses from wrong oil filter installed even though according to websites it was the right one, to low oil even though it was fine until the incident and then started leaking oil on way to dealer on a flatbed. It is now 11/15/21. More than 3 months and my car is sitting at the dealership and we are yet to hear from GMAC. We have sent them a certified letter, when we call we leave voicemails and cannot get ahold of anyone. The dealership told us the tube to the turbo melted but would not say if that caused the engine issue. They offered to replace it at a cost to us but said may not fix the issue. Sounds like a flaw to me but GMAC is not recognizing this or covering under their warranty. How can a 3.5 year old car engine blow when we maintained it and was driven with care. I cannot believe that we are having this much trouble for a company to stand behind their product. Not only is the dealership doing nothing but GMAC doesnt seem to want to do anything either. I work two jobs and have had to rely on friends and family to borrow cars as they could not even provide a loaner car to me. I am still paying payments and insurance on a vehicle that has been sitting on a dealers lot still waiting to be diagnosed because they are not looking into it since they cant seem to get it covered under the warranty. What is wrong with this world with businesses not standing behind their products and doing the right thing. We come from a long list of Chevy/gmac owned vehicles from a 41 chevy coupe to a 2020 Gmac Denali and numerous in between and never ever have had an issue like this. I simply cannot believe it, but it is causing us to rethink about buy Chevy/gmac. I know I read reviews and I hope that this may help someone else in the future when considering to buy a Chevy/gmac be careful cause they may not stand behind their product. As for me, I will be continuing my fight for them to do whats right and fix my car.

I purchased a 2006 Impala with 160,000 miles in 2011. Recently, I have been getting a Service Traction Control on my dash, as well as a Reduced Speed/Low Oil pressure message. When this happens, my car will not increase speed and it has little to no power at all. When this happened the first time, I drove directly to Bale Chevrolet here in Little Rock, Arkansas. I left my vehicle and warranty information with the service department. I received a call a day later telling me it isnt covered under warranty and isnt a recall issue. Mind you, I have read hundreds of post with Impala drivers saying the exact same thing; just something out of the blue happened on their car. The representative told me my car would cost over $400.00. I agreed to pay it. At that time, I felt good about Bale Chevrolet being able to fix the issue. Why not? I bought a 20003 Impala from them in 2004. I went and paid for it. Mind you that this was on 4/25/13; I am writing this on 5/16/13. So, I get in my car on lunch yesterday and my check engine light is on. Then later, when I had got off the Service Traction Control light error, the Low Oil pressure lights are right back on; and my car is doing the exact same thing it had done in April before it had been alleged to have been repaired. When this happened again this morning, my child was riding with me. I made a left turn and was almost side swiped because my car wouldnt accelerate at all. I called the Service Department at Bale and was told they will look at it and it may be a multiple issue problem. I had my car fully diagnosed back in April, so if it was a multiple issues thing, those multiple issues shouldve been addressed before allowing me to leave with a patched up car. He also told me I would be responsible for any new parts pertaining to the Service Traction/Low Oil Pressure issues. Also, I was told that I will have to wait until Monday before anybody can look at the car. Ive already paid for the repairs which werent done properly and now I have to wait 2 days before it can even be looked at. It is sad (me and my family are long time Chevy buyers) to be treated like this at a lot where Ive bought more than one car; to be told get in line and wait after my car when it wasnt fixed properly the first time. I am 100% sure that I, nor my immediate family, will ever purchase another Chevy car or truck as long as I live. This is from a company that my tax dollars helped to bail out. I still purchased from them to now be treated like a number. I almost had my car totaled out because of issues that should be a recall in the first place. Second, I paid to have it fixed. I know this email won’t be responded to, but I hope others will read and strongly consider not purchasing a GM vehicle at all. I will be trading my poor Impala for a Honda as soon as I have money to pay Bale Chevrolet a second time to fix what shouldve been fixed in April. Google Bale and you will see all the complaints about them having to fix the same problems two to three times, with the customer ending up paying more and more just to get something that shouldve been correctly diagnosed and fixed the first time.

Brand new 2021 Chevy Silverado 2500 Carhartt Edition. Broke down 2 months later in the middle of nowhere, could have died. Had to have truck towed to nearest Chevy dealer over 6 hours away. No one paid for the tow even though I had it covered in my warranty. I had to pay out of pocket and 20 days later my truck still sits in the shop at the Chevy dealer. My wife and I paid for the truck cash with all the money we saved up. Please save yourself and do not buy Chevy. They do not care and give you the run around with no answers.

Chevy Corsa 1.4i, vehicle not repaired properly - I bought a brand new vehicle. Three days later, I contacted the dealer and reported a faulty air con. I straightaway asked for a new car and was told that it has to be repaired and that it was the air con unit box in the dashboard. After a month and a half, I was told my car is ready for collection. On inspection, my fuse box cover was damaged and was replaced by a demo vehicle. The front of my bumper was damaged and had to go to the panel beaters for a re-spray after one of the workshop guys (unprofessional) try to touch it up with paint, causing more damage. After I received it back, I returned it within 24 hours complaining my left mirror cover is not lining up like the right hand side. One of the guys tried to repair it (not the same guy who assembled the job) after I received it back, they broke the right hand side leaving it out of its bracket and a big gap. I was told then, that I must return the vehicle in two weeks when the guy who assembled my car will be back from leave. When I try and put my car in reverse, the gears are scratching badly before it goes in. I feel that my car was not worked on by professional and my life is in danger with the gears scratching believing it might jam while I am driving or leave me stranded.

I recently ordered and Purchased a Camaro. Unfortunately I was in car accident, therefore I had to have my new camaro repaired. I took it to a chevy dealership to have all the repairs done. Three weeks ago the dealership ordered black rally stripe decals to go on the hood of the Camaro. The dealership still has not had an expected date of arrival from GM on when the stripes will arrive. I could have had my car back three weeks ago all completed. I do not understand why it takes this long to make black rally stripes that goes on the hood of a Camaro and have them shipped to the proper place in a timely manner.

Purchased my car in late 2011. Battery went bad December 2012. They replaced the battery - supposedly with a new 48-month A/C delco battery. This morning I come out to a dead battery. I called to find out if they will replace it since obviously its not even 24 months and this thing is dead. No. The manager will not honor the warranty on the battery because it was installed during my warranty under the bumper to bumper. How convenient. Upon closer inspection, the battery does not have a date, which leads me to believe that they installed either an old battery or just did not even install one at all. Manager told me that if you have a battery installed UNDER THE BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY, it voids the batterys warranty. Does this make sense to anyone????? Sure doesnt to me. Like I said, I have a feeling they put an old used battery in my car.

My check engine light is on in my 2015 Chevy Malibu. After paying $125 to run a check I was told on September 5 that I need part #12633613 A valve Asm Rocker Arm Oil Control. But the part was not available so it was put on back order. Now 4 months later I am still being told the same thing. I have not been able to get my car to pass inspection because of this so I can’t register my plates which means I am driving on expired plates. When I needed to be towed last night AAA wouldn’t tow me because I had expired plates and I had to pay $80. When I check online several parts websites say the part has been discontinued. This car is only 4 years old. I will still be making payments for 2 more years and I can’t get it fixed. The part generally costs around $100 but since it is unavailable it is now selling for $600 on EBay. Come on GM. Get your act together and honor your products. Please tell me how to solve my dilemma.

I own a 2 year old Buick Envision. I heard a noise coming from under the vehicle at only 7k miles. The dealership and GM continually told me nothing was wrong. I did not give up. It took months but they finally determined there was a loose baffle in the exhaust. They finally replaced the exhaust. Dealing with them was extremely difficult. Very recently when leaving for vacation with bikes mounted on the back of the vehicle the car battery was dead. Nothing was left on and the vehicle is supposed to be protected from accessories remaining on and draining the battery. Again, GM is not standing behind the vehicle. The dealerships have prepared or canned answers for everything as to avoid making good on the warranty. As a professional buyer and car enthusiast I cannot recommend anyone buy a GM vehicle. You will not have the warranty you think you have and the vehicles experience more problems than other cars.

Bought a very expensive GMC Yukon Denali in Sep 2017 and almost a year from that, car started with engine malfunction and shaking while we are driving putting us on risk. We tried to take the car to the dealership 3 times for the same issue and nothing has been fixed. I scheduled the 4th visit this week on Wednesday but not sure if worthless. I do not trust anymore GM, GMC, the dealership and the customer relationship care. Definitely, the car maker do not take care of customers.

Sign said Free engine code light analysis, so I did. They read the code then told me it would be $50 to diagnose it. I thought that was what they did. I gave them the money, then I was told $300 more for repair. I made the appointment, they reread codes again, and it was a different problem. But it would fix the first problem according to a bulletin. It was the same $300, but they charged $80 more for the part than GM online parts and somehow got the time to total 1.5 hr after a .5 credit for the first reading. And still, they had my vehicle in and out of the shop in 1 hr and 15 minutes. GM told me this is not within their control and when your warranty runs out, so does your luck and their responsibility for faulty builds.

I bought a new 2006 Chevy Express Van. It had all the features that I needed for selling at the flea market. After a few years the paint on the front started to peel. My friend had a 2008 and his did also that is on the hood. I went to the dealer in Punta Gorda and he said they could do nothing. On the way to see them I saw a 3rd one with the same problem. Since this time I have seen at least 150 Vans (different years) with the same problem. I was told dirt got under the paint causing the paint to bubble then peel. This is what the dealer said. I have peeling on the back and side also. I notice that it bubbles first then the bubble breaks and then it starts to peel. I had an item fall against my fender and chip the paint. It has not peeled nor bubble in that area.

When you complain about this inferior product, GM does nothing but throws you a bone to buy another GM product!! Not back up their product by extending the warranty you already paid for.. Shame on you GM. You waved the flag of a America built product. After being a loyal customer all my 60 years, standing by you while others put out a good product, this is how I get treated. I purchased a 2010 GMC Terrain 3 years ago and have had nothing but problem
I purchased a 2010 GMC Terrain 3 years ago and have had nothing but problems with it. I have had to take it to the dealer numerous times to get the engine repaired as well as the transmission. I found the car to be unreliable and because of the frequent break downs, I have had to miss work and deal with the inconvenience of renting a vehicle. The last time I was there, they recommend that I speak to someone regarding the vehicle exchange program. They assured me that they would be able to help me get out of this vehicle and into something more reliable. I knew going in that I would probably have to extend the duration of my current loan. Unfortunately when I spoke to the sales manager, their way of helping me was to get me into a new Terrain with a brand new loan of 6 years and an interest rate of 3.6%. How is this helping me? The only reason why I was even considering the exchange was because the car that they sold me is not reliable - AKA lemon! I am sure that the dealership has better incentives than what they were trying to offer me. I do not believe GMC cares about their customers. I was willing to purchase the car with the same payment I have now, but I only wanted a 4 year loan. They were unwilling to help. Why would I want to purchase a car from GMC ever again after the kind of service I got? If I am going to start from scratch, I might as well go to another brand of car. The sales staff at GMC Cerritos were not understanding of my situation and were very condescending. Thank you.

I am a GM retiree. I visited David Stanley Chevrolet in Norman back 3 month
I am a GM retiree. I visited David Stanley Chevrolet in Norman back 3 months ago. I was interested in leasing a vehicle like a Malibu, talked to the salesman and told him what I was looking for and he said he would locate a vehicle and give me some information. Well that never happened. Never heard a word. So last month went back to the same dealership and talked to another salesman, drove a Malibu and told him what I was looking for a lease, I was a GM employee. He said that he was busy with a client but would get back to me later that day. 3 weeks later, I received a call from the dealership saying he was sorry he forgot about me but had worked up something and I could come in and see what he had. Well I figured if he does not have time for me then I would go somewhere else.Christmas Eve day, I stepped into Jackie Cooper Cadillac in Norman. The salesman said he only had 9 months experience but would get me a great deal. Found a SUV on the showroom floor and asked how much would the lease would be on that vehicle. He told me that I could get the lease payment for $350.00 a month. Well I questioned him again and asked how much do I have to put down on the vehicle and was told $0. I asked him again if he was sure I could get that vehicle for $350.00 a month lease with no money down? Was assured again that I could, so I said lets do the paperwork and I will take delivery today. He told me great and got me in the Finance Dept. to do the paperwork. After going through the paperwork and signing everything, I was informed that the lease payment would be $550.00 a month. I looked at the finance manager and asked, What about the $350 lease that I was told by your salesman? He said that there was no way I could get a lease for that amount unless I was ready to put down almost $4000.00. I informed the finance manager that I was told I could get this lease for $350.00 a month. After being informed that there was no way I could get the vehicle, I informed the Manager that they had some training to do with their staff because they gave me the wrong information and I was very upset after wasting 2 to 3 hours dealing with new cars sales people. I walked out, never I am sorry, please come back and see what we can work on. So now I go to Ferguson GMC in Norman and inquire about a truck. They had advertised a truck in the paper for $25999.00. So I went out to take a look to see what they had to offer. Jeff the new cars sales Manager told me that since I was a GM employee I could pick out anything I wanted and that I would get a better price then what was advertised because of all the rebates and GM discounts that I was entitled to. So this salesman takes me out and asked what I was looking for and I told him I would like to have 4 wheel drive and towing package. Found a vehicle and went to the finance dept. to see what they could do. Well after spending a couple of hours doing paperwork, my payment would be $550.00 a month. I told them that I wanted the truck that they advertised and was told that I could not get that deal with 4 wheel drive. I said, Ok, lets see what you can do, so I told them that I had an appointment that I had to go to so find a truck and give me a call. So a few hours later, I get a call from Daniel from finance and he asked me if I could come in and see what they found for me. I told him that I had to go to a performance that evening and he asked if I could come in on Saturday around 10:30am. I said fine. I was feeling bad because it was 10 minutes to 11am and I do not like to have people waiting for me. So I go to the showroom floor and asked for Daniel, and after about 20 minutes I was informed that Daniel does not start working till noon. I told the manager that I was asked to be there at 10:30am to look at this truck that Daniel wanted me to see. Again I was told that Daniel does not come to work till noon. So they asked if someone else could help, I said no because apparently no one knows what Daniel had put aside for me, so I told him to have them call me when they think they can get their act together. About 4pm, I receive a call from the salesman that helped me out the 1st time I came to the store. He informed me that they had a truck for me to look at and could I come in... I said I would see. The following Monday, I get a call from Jeff the new car Manager, he said please come out and look at a truck that he had set aside for me. I told him I would be right there. He said make sure you ask for Jeff because he would treat me right. I asked Jeff if these trucks that they were advertising had fog lamps, he said, I am looking at them and they all have fog lamps. I asked, How many do you have left at that sales price? and he said 7 or 8. So again I go out to the store and Jeff told me he was with a customer and just give him a few minutes, I said no problem. A few minutes later, Jeff came back out and said it was taking longer than he expected, I said no problem. About 10 minutes later, Jeff came back and said, Would it be all right if I hand you off to a salesman? I said all right, so the salesman said he would go get the truck and pull it up for me. The truck that they brought out did not have fog lamps. So I asked about the advertised special with fog lamps, and the salesman said he had no idea what the advertisement had. So I went back to Jeff and asked about the fog lamps and he said, No problem, I will put fog lamps on that for you... I said, You told me that you had all kinds of trucks with fog lamps on it, and he said, I guess I was mistaken. So I asked, How many trucks do you have for the advertise special? and he said, I guess you are looking at it. Well I was again upset and told them that they were wasting my time when you tell me you a lot of trucks with the fog lamps and you had 7 or 8 vehicles that I could look at, and he said what you see is all that they have. So I walked out of the 3rd facility that sells GM vehicles. I really did not know that GM was doing that good and could afford to lose customers but seems to me that they could care less if I bought a vehicle from them or not. So I guess I will have to go to look at a competitor since GM does not know how to treat their customers.

I purchased a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu LS in 2011. l loved the car at first sight. A few weeks after purchase, notice that the transmission would jerk at certain miles per hour, and fluctuate at certain speeds and when the cruise control is engaged, it fluctuates also hmmmm... So I called GM in April of 2012, had them look up my warranty and they said I was in luck. My power train was still in effect WOW. Was so happy to hear that so I took my car to the local Saturn Cadillac hummer dealership which also was owned by GM back then. They kept my car overnight and have me a rental. I was so happy.Called them up the next afternoon, car wasnt ready. Called them the next morning, they told me they didnt see anything wrong and said I can come and pick up the car. They told me the car is running as design hmm.. I wasnt satisfied with that answer so I took it to Ed Morse Chevrolet, a next dealership that doesnt know whats wrong with my car. First they told me it was the solenoid. They have me a rental that happens to have the same engine and transmission and that car drove perfectly, so a few days later I picked the car up. That next day, I notice the car was still doing the same thing. I misunderstood my warranty statement, also it said 100k or September 14 2013. Silly me, I thought it was my option lol, so before all of that occurred I was back and forth with this dealership.GM and GM customer service specialist who in my opinion is a waste of time, it took them after my warranty expires to diagnose my car with a bad torque converter which GM would split the bill with me. OK that was $850 dollars. Wow. I was furious it took me and GM 2 weeks to come to a conclusion that I would have to pay half so I saved up my portion, took the car over there and they didnt want to give me a rental and I just had a baby girl. I was furious and still am. OK I left the car over there for three days, picked it up and the car was still doing the same thing and just three weeks ago they told me they want to keep the car for another 24 hours, thats 3 working days. Ive had enough. I talked to another GM dealership. They told me that Ed Morse should of had recommended the new transmission since they dont repair they replace the issue should have been corrected. They quoted me over $3500 for a new transmission with installation, but according to them if I can get GM to give me a deductible cost for over $1400, that sounds good but I thought about it. Why should I pay when I was trying to get them to fix my car for 2 years? Im gonna sue this dealership in a few weeks, wish me luck. Going to the judge, will see things my way and see the incompetence and lack of respect that has for their customer! Cant put order number, dont know which one to put got like three of them.

My Disappointing Experience with General Motors and Leith Buick GMC of Wend
My Disappointing Experience with General Motors and Leith Buick GMC of Wendell NC. November 10, 2018, my vehicle began to misfire. I had the code pulled and contacted Ryan **, Service Advisor at Leith Buick GMC of Wendell NC, on November 12, 2018 to bring my vehicle for repair of cylinder 2 and 4 on November 17, 2018. By November 15, 2018, driving conditions worsened and I had to take the vehicle earlier than expected to Leith Buick GMC on November 16, 2018. They gave me a loaner to drive while they had my vehicle for service and repair. By November 20, 2018, Ryan ** confirmed the misfire was on cylinder 2 and 4, along with other mechanical issues found. Ryan ** gave me pricing for all of the repairs and we discussed options for a possible trade. He forwarded my information to a sales representative, which whom I met with on November 23, 2018.After deep thought and discussion, I declined to trade down to a 4 door sedan with higher payment and authorized cylinder 2 and 4 to be repaired only. November 28, 2018 the repairs authorized was implemented and paid in full. March 3, 2019 my vehicle began to misfire again. I had the code pulled and found that the misfire was on cylinder 2; one of the same cylinders that Leith repaired November 28, 2018. March 4, 2019 I contacted Ryan ** to discuss the issue and to find out if the parts were refurbished that was put on the cylinders because it did not last.Ryan ** stated they were not refurbished parts, but that they could have been bad. He stated that I could bring the vehicle back to them and they would repair it. I refused to put the vehicle under additional stress to drive over an hour and a half for to have the repairs done again. Ryan stated being that the repairs were under warranty; I could go to any GM dealership to have it repaired that was closest to me. I called three GM dealerships in my area: David Westcott Buick/GMC in Burlington, NC; Flow Buick GMC of Greensboro, NC; and Bill Black Chevrolet of Greensboro, NC. All were busy and stated that they would have to keep the vehicle for at least three days and did not have a loaner available for me to drive to get back and forth to work. So, my only other option was to purchase the parts and have the vehicle repaired by another mechanic.March 7, 2019, I purchased the parts and instructed the mechanic to save the engine ignition coil and spark plug on cylinder 2 so that I could take it back to the dealership. The mechanic repaired what I asked and gave me back the coil and spark plug. To my surprise it was not a Bosch coil. It was an aftermarket part that did not match the invoice. April 10, 2019 I changed cylinder 4 coil and spark plug. I asked the mechanic to again give me back the coil and spark plug. To my surprise cylinder 4 coil was aftermarket as well.April 19, 2019, I took the parts back to Leith Buick GMC. I spoke with Ryan ** about the issue. Ryan ** denied that that they put the parts on the vehicle. He stated that I did not know and they could have come off of cylinder 3 and 5. He berated me with questions on what side of the engine it came off of, left or right. He said the parts they use are Bosch and showed me one as an example, pointing out the difference in the part. That the parts they use have part numbers and the part that I brought back did not. He would not listen to me at all. He kept saying that because I took the vehicle to someone else for repair there was nothing that they could do. I reminded him of our conversation March 4, 2019 and that I tried to do what he said and enlightened him of the outcome from it. He also stated that maybe I brought the parts to him. I told him that I did not bring the parts to them and the only parts that I took to them that they did not put on was the intake cover gasket.Ryan was still not willing to listen to me. He claimed I hollered at him, which I did not. My voice became firmer because he was still insinuating sublimely that I was lying about the parts. I was merely trying to get my point across to him and was getting frustrated because he was not listening to me and insinuating that I was telling an untruth. I told him that I was not a mechanic but I knew what I purchased and had repaired. I told him that I was not going to drive over and hour and a half for a lie. I told him that those were the parts they put on that was taken off and that I wanted a refund. At this point, Ryan ** took the parts from his desk and placed them outside his door onto the sidewalk and told me to get out of his office. I told him that I would leave his office, and he sat back down in his chair. I told him before leaving that he knew they put those parts on my car and that they were no good. He then got up and walked away. I told him that I was going to have an investigation in their place of business to look at their records as he was walking away and then went outside to retrieve the parts placed on the sidewalk. I went back inside the dealership to find Ryan **. He was standing at a window to the billing office. I let him know that I was going to send the parts to the CEO of GM. 4/26/2019, Mailed failed equipment taken off of cylinder #2 and #4 to CEO, Mary Barr of GM. 5/6/2019, Spoke to Matt with GM Executive Office. He confirmed receipt of packaging and letter. He took down all details.5/8/2019, Spoke to Matt again with GM Executive Office. He stated he spoke with the service manager at Leith and the service manager assured him that they only use GM approved parts. The service manager stated that I was shown the parts they use. He stated because I did not take the vehicle back to them it could not be verified by GM that that they actually did it. He stated due to the age and mileage of the vehicle a loaner would not have been made available to me to drive. He stated that because the vehicle had previous owners that the parts could have been put on by them. So from all of the facts Leith Buick GMC of Wendell NC was not going to refund my money. I was told that if I had called the 800 number that maybe they could have worked something out. Matt also stated that they would have everything on file if it something more should come of this and that he would now consider the case closed.Matt with GM Executive Office, sided with Leith, their authorized dealership and basically said in not too many words that I was telling an untruth as well. Leith billed me for parts they claim they put on but never did. The parts that came off did not have the part numbers stated on the invoice. In closing, I am highly upset regarding the way I was treated and for the blatant disrespect shown by Ryan **. I feel if I had been a man of any race or a ** woman, he would have shown more respect, patience and listened to me. He would not have insinuated sublimely that I was lying. He would have immediately taken action to resolve the issue and apologized for the error. But because I am a ** woman, he felt he could disrespect me, talk to me any kind of way and sublimely call me a liar. As much as I like my Buick, I have decided to trade it for another make and model, namely their competition. I will not patronize a company that treats their consumers that way and call them liars sublimely.

Avalanche (08) door locks - The four door locks on my Avalanche have failed. The 1st was repaired at a cost of $150ish. The 2nd repair was free and we were told Chevy was having lots of problems with the looks so there would be no charge. The other two door locks failed but today I was charged $350ish for the repairs. Four locks failing on the same vehicle has to be a quality issue that should be subject to a recall. I know other owners that are having the same issue with their door locks. This just seems like a quality problem that Chevy should recognize and address.

Dart motors are american made. We used Chevy Crate motors for power, 454 cu. in. V8 Big-Blocks, but as all things Chevy it was recast differently to save monies, thinner casting. Then the blocks started to crack, vertical lines in the cylinders after approx. 100 hours use. No junk. Time to move on now to 350 CID v8, burns oil out the box on fire up. Use approx. one qt. oil every 20 to 30 minutes. Called Victory Chevy in Ft. Myers, FL for warranty: No you need to call GM at ** This was a joke. Was told it is my intake gasket. I have been building same products, same parts for 25 plus years. Said needed to pull intake and take photos of intake gasket on motor. Pulled intake, no oil in intake runners, gasket perfect so I pulled heads, oil on top of #s 3-5 and 7. Piston #7 the worst, so pulled piston meat on, piston between ring lands, broke out 3 inch piece. This has happened on two of the last 4 motors. We now use only Dart Motors, no more problems. Other problems to watch for, rings hammered into cylinder, no bolts in cam timing, gear lifters come apart. 100 hrs. no impeller in water pump or impeller spins on shaft. This is poor quality control. Have now learned what GMC stands for: General Mexican Crap. Good bye Chevy!!! Captain Mitch.

I bought this truck at Hampton Chevy. I went there to get it fixed on October 10, 2021, it is February 23, 2022, now and the problem has not been resolved. Ive been there over four times and they are completely stumped, one mechanics looked at me as if I should have bought me a Ford. At this time, I would agree. I have a iPhone 12 which cannot connect to my truck and the mechanic and the GMC representative are telling me its my phone but the same phone can connect to another Silverado same year and my brother phone which is the same model as my phone cannot connect to my truck. Under the same breath they say its my phone fault but dont recognize that two iPhone 12 cannot connect to that Silverado and the same 2 hour phone 12 cant connect to another Silverado. And now they basically are asking me to accept the condition of the truck 2020 truck because they dont know what to do to fix it.

I purchased a new 2018 Chevy Traverse in July of 2018 from Hendrick Chevrolet in Cary, NC. It has now been in the shop for the third time, this time for 6 weeks because the part is not available. I find it hard to believe that a large manufacturer like GM does not have the part needed to fix my car. I am in the second loaner from the dealership and they are trying to switch me out again. I really dont think customer service is GMs specialty.

We bought a 2017 Chevy Silverado new. We drove it off the lot and on our way home it started stuttering. We took it back several times to the dealership. We were told things such as: GM knew there was a problem but couldnt fix it, it needed to get used to the way we drive, it needs broke in. Two years down the road it continues to have problems and they are only getting bigger. GM will not stand behind the fact that there is something wrong with this truck and make it right. We drove our last Chevy truck for 12 years and now are hesitant to continue to drive GM products. They advertise as the working mans truck but wont stand behind it when there is a problem.

After driving my 2010 Equinox purchased new for 18000 mi. with mostly highway driving at 55-60, the best I get is 22mpg. That is a far cry from the22/29 which was highly advertised for a 4 cylinder awd. It was the main selling point for me. The service manager at Richard Chev. told me that I will not see those numbers and he didnt know how they came up with them. After 45 yrs., this will be my last GM purchase. Just once, it would be nice if a company meant what they said and said what they meant.

Ive had my (purchased brand new in 2016) 2015 GMC Sierra held hostage at the local dealership for a total of 38 days so far while GMC makes up their mind to replace or completely rebuild the transmission. The decision has been made to rebuild so I can expect it to be in at least another couple weeks while parts are ordered. Huge inconvenience for my family as we had to cancel a family vacation which required the truck to tow our travel trailer. So far the truck has had 4-5 recalls and warranty replacement of the A/C unit and a radiator. The dealership Shop Manager told me GMC does not care about their customers if they can save themselves a few dollars. This will be the last GM product myself and my business will be purchasing. Go with Toyota if you want a quality product and service. I should never have made the switch. Shame on you GMC...
