Dishwasher Issues

(KitchenAid KDTE104ESS1).
Hello everyone. I'm having issues with my dishwasher.
The soap dispenser is opening but it doesn't dispense the soap. I was using pods, and then switched the detergent to see if that would help. It did not.
The pod would still just be sitting there hardly touched, slightly disintegrated. Detergent, somehow, is still just sitting in there shifted down, and starting to harden and crusted, but still a bit powdery. I always make sure the dispenser enclosure is bone dry when I put it in.
I took everything out that could come out without completely dismantling the dishwasher. I used a small rod to make sure each spray nosle is clear. I sprayed water through each arm and piece to make sure water flowed freely. The arms spin freely. The filter is clean of all debris.
Then I ran through an empty wash with two ‘dishwasher cleaning tabs' from Affresh.
I ran another load, small load, to ensure nothing was blocking anything, and same issue.
What else may be the issue?
Question from user yensid87 at Appliances at reddit.com.
Answer:
The pods will stick to the inside of the dispenser and not fall into the bottom to dissolve but you said you switched to regular detergent….
Start a cycle and when it fills and starts to wash open the door to see how much water you have. The water level should be close to the heating element.
Also, align the spray arms pointing to the front, close the door, hit start, let it wash for a minute, open the door to see if the arms moved and if the dishes are covered in water.
If you have enough water on the fill and no movement with your spray arms or no or little water on the dishes then your symptoms point to the circulation pump.
If that's the case you should replace the sump and motor and is not an easy job and I would not recommend it to a DIYer.
