Dishwasher leaving crud on all my dishes
I'd never owned a dishwasher before so a few months ago I splurged and got a Bosch 300 series.
It was all great for a month or two but now all my dishes come out with this crud on them.
I rinse my dishes before loading so they're actually coming out dirtier than when I put them in!.
Any help is appreciated.

Answer:
I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your dishwasher. There are several possible reasons why your dishwasher might be leaving crud or residue on your dishes. Here are some common causes and solutions you can try:
-
Improper loading: Make sure you're loading the dishes properly, allowing water and detergent to reach all surfaces. Avoid overcrowding the dishwasher, as it can prevent proper water circulation.
-
Pre-rinsing dishes: If you're pre-rinsing your dishes too thoroughly before placing them in the dishwasher, it can result in insufficient food particles for the dishwasher detergent to target. Try scraping off excess food but leave some residue on the dishes for the detergent to work effectively.
-
Clogged spray arms: The spray arms in your dishwasher can become clogged with debris over time, inhibiting their ability to spray water evenly. Check the spray arms and clean out any blockages, such as food particles or mineral deposits.
-
Hard water issues: Hard water can leave mineral deposits on your dishes, giving them a cloudy or gritty appearance. Consider using a dishwasher cleaner or adding a water softener to your dishwasher to help reduce mineral buildup.
-
Insufficient detergent or improper detergent use: Ensure you're using the right type and amount of dishwasher detergent recommended for your dishwasher and water hardness. Using too little detergent or using the wrong detergent can lead to poor cleaning results.
-
Filter and drain cleaning: Check the dishwasher's filter and drain for any obstructions or debris. Clean them regularly to maintain proper water circulation and drainage.
-
Malfunctioning dishwasher: If you've tried the above solutions and the problem persists, there may be an issue with your dishwasher. It could be a problem with the pump, spray arms, or other components. In this case, you may need to call a professional technician to diagnose and repair the dishwasher.
Remember to consult your dishwasher's manual for specific instructions and guidelines. If you're unsure or uncomfortable performing any maintenance tasks, it's always best to seek assistance from a professional.
