Product Reviews:

We have already spent at least 20 hours following every Electrolux procedur
We have already spent at least 20 hours following every Electrolux procedure to the letter, regardless of how inane the reasoning only to finally be denied a solution. It is the same story about the defective ice makers they designed and installed in thousands of refrigerators a few years back. Bottom line - We would pay for parts but since the ice maker cant be fixed there is nothing we can do for you. Yes we bought $6000 worth of Electrolux products when remodeled our kitchen and they made a defective product but its on us. Thank you very much. They said they dont care about negative Internet reviews because only unhappy people post - not happy ones. Brilliant! So, we vote with our wallet and words. Never buy an Electrolux or any brand by that company and tell as many people as possible. So, when they hire a consultant to find out why the stock is down maybe they will discover these communications and determine that it does matter to try to protect rational consumer relationships.

Purchased high end (what a joke) Electrolux appliances. Turned out to be thinly disguised Frigidaire appliances. What a mistake. Fridge ice maker kept failing. Service guy told me Electrolux would send him out 3-5 times then would replace the fridge believe it was 4 times, but even then it took a couple of hours discussing the issue with Frigidaire warranty department. They tried to pull the its out of warranty excuse because it was just over a year. The new fridge has a different ice maker but still periodically must be defrosted and the milk self broke. The microwave needed a new display board, then 6 months later shorted out because it had been improperly painted which allowed it to arc. Even though it was out of warranty by about 6 months they finally agree to replace, but not install a new unit. The plastic impeller on the dishwasher failed. The service tech advised me to wash the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. The stove has failed and needed a $600 controlled board. It has now failed again. Junk.

The gas burns do not all reliably ignite when turned on. The heat range is also not adequate with 3 of the 4 burns having too much flame when turned to low setting. The largest burner sometimes does not light for up to 5 attempts and has been explosive when it finally does ignite. This has pretty well been the case from the time we first used this stove. We have two Electrolux dishwashers as we do a lot of entertaining. They do not always thoroughly clean the dishes and we have to do a secondary sink wash which was not the case with previous dishwashers we have owned.Lately our Electrolux refrigerator door light switch has been failing intermittently. All of these Electrolux appliances are now 2 years old. The dishwashers and stove have not been right since they were new. They were all bought as a suite when our house was new. We are dissatisfied with the appliances and the dealer who sold them to us and falsely advertised them to be reliable.

Never buy an Electrolux side-by-side refrigerator with a water dispenser and ice maker. We bought one in 2011. After the first year, the water dispenser began to function erratically (the water wouldnt stop running). Over time, this problem cascaded into a myriad of problems that caused the entire unit to fail. We had paid for the extended warranty, so Electrolux replaced it. But now, the replacement unit has the same problems! Were reluctant to start the repair process, fearing this unit may also self-destruct. Our only option is to again pay $800 for the extended warranty but a good product should not require customers to endlessly invest in warranties. This product seems to have an inherent defect that the company has failed to fix. Save yourself this grief and buy some other brand of refrigerator besides an Electrolux.

Our experience with Electrolux has been terrible to say the least. We purchased a home that was remodeled with all brand new Electrolux appliances. The total bill was almost $11,000 for the Electrolux appliances. Since our purchase of the home, (1.5 years) we have had to replace the Electrolux dishwasher that originally cost $999 before tax, because the unit stopped working and the repair person told us that this particular model EIDW6105GS had a lot of issues. When I tried to contact Electrolux they refused to do anything for us. Thus we had to buy a new Kitchen Aid.Now our refrigerators ice maker has gone out (Model Number EW28BS70IS). Again we had a repair person out to fix it; and he alluded that this particular Icemaker by Electrolux has had many issues with the IceMaker and it cannot be repaired. The whole refrigerator would have to be replaced. And the repair person said Electrolux should replace it. However, Electrolux would not replace it. Even though they recognized it has been a problem, they will not replace it because we purchased the home with the appliance already there. It doesnt really matter who owns the house, the refrigerator has not moved, it is less than 5 years old, it cost $3,500; you would think it should last longer than 5-years. And you would think that Electrolux would be more interested in making it right with their customers when they know that this is a manufacturing issue. Everyone, just save yourself from frustration, do not purchase any Electrolux products to avoid the heartbreak of having to deal with such an inferior product and customer service. Thank you for reading my post.

We upgraded our kitchen appliances to what we thought were top end appliances - Electrolux. Firstly the dishwasher. Turbidity module went at 14 months and door leaked at 18 months. Module was replaced and door seal replaced. It still leaked. After reviewing similar experiences and complaints we cut our losses, scrapped it, and bought a Kitchenaid. Beware of the razor sharp metal edges when you try to remove it. The quality of the oven is no better. The oven door does not close tightly causing the light to stay on. Apparently it needs new hinges or possibly door. Needless to say, based on our experiences we will not purchase any more Electrolux appliances.

I have an Electrolux Wave Touch Electric Range model # EW30EF65GSH, purchased in January 2011 for $3,000. My thought was that, spending that much, we would be receiving a quality product. Yesterday my range starting beeping and showed an E11 error code. Repair man came and informed me that the part to fix this problem would cost almost $600 and it would be $200 for him to do the repair. This is a range that is very gently used - dont cook at home that much. Customer Service offered to discount the part by 20% after much time on the phone with them. So, my $3000 range is now costing me $750 to repair and I have no oven or stove top for a week. There is no way I would ever spend the money on an Electrolux again.

The stove never did work right, but the gas company said that they did not know what was wrong with it. 2 burners blow up at you with a poof of fire when turning it on. The store we bought the appliances from were no help. Now 7 years later and our dishwasher rack has rusted out. Of course, Electrolux service is terrible. These were all paid for by Electrolux. After 18 months, the dishwasher is now giving the error 1 code, which appears to very problematic and difficult to diagnose/repair, and one burner on the stove smells like gas, even when it is on, rendering it unusable. At the prices that these appliances cost, one would expect them to run when new, and to last more than 18 months.

Your product broke in less than 1 year and your warranty and replacement policies are a joke. They are designed to rip the consumer off. Its nearly 1 month since it broke down and after 3 techs visits and 3 orders for possible broke new parts, Im still without a washer and Electrolux are sending yes, a 4th tech out with more parts. If this washer ever gets repaired, its probably going to die immediately after those repairs cause the previous repair guys have torn it apart. They even pulled wires out and somehow managed to get them back into the boards.I saw this with my own eyes and I would bet 1 million dollars that those techs damaged those other boards and wired. And of course who will have to pay for those techs mistakes. Yes, thatll be me the customer. Cause they are in the business of selling horrible products without honoring repairs or replacements as they promise. Electrolux and Frigidaire are 2 names that should not be in business. My Electrolux refrigerator came with my new builders home - I wanted GE Profile, but settled for Electrolux. The refrigerator has been nothing but a problem. The freezer side and the water dispenser, have been worked on many times. The freezer freezes up with crystals, water continues to drip from the dispenser and they have repaired it four (4) times without success. I have asked for a more seasoned professional to come and handle the repair however I just keep getting the same old, same old person who always comes (yes, the one who put the door heater in upside down!!!). Be cautious when you are considering purchasing an Electrolux product - GE Profile cant be beat, even though it might cost a little more. The Electrolux customer service treats people like they are the judge and we are the condemned. Their service times is ancient - 8AM-5PM of all things. Who does that anymore??? Ive spend five days home waiting for them and Im tired of it now. I urge you to look around, check on the customer service, read reviews, do your homework before purchasing.

A small and simple to replace part (the latch for the dispenser drawer) broke on my EIFLW55HIW0 model washing machine. I contacted Electrolux expecting to be able to order the part. They referred me to their parts manual (which required going to the Frigidaire website). Unfortunately the part was not shown and I was told I would have to purchase the entire assembly. When I told the support person that I had no assembly that even looked like their parts diagram, they essentially said, well that is the parts diagram. There is a clearly labelled part number on the drawer assembly, but it does not match their parts diagram. In other words, although the model number is the same, the design has clearly been changed so that matching parts are no longer available. There is no part number for the part that is broken so apparently that was not considered a separate part.

The product is the french door refrigerator. The ice maker does not work after doing the quick fix reported on the net. I shut down the ice maker and turn it back on for a good year. There are so many reports on this. In addition to it not working, the ice maker leaks and makes a puddle by the water dispenser. Everyone complains about the ice maker. This being the case, it is probably a bad engineering design. You would think the company would be ethical and back the product and do a recall and fix the problem but no recalls! There should be. I would like to see a class action suit against Electrolux to force them to do a recall and pay to fix the problem. I would love to talk to anyone willing to do this.

Nothing ever came out sparkling clean from the first day I used it. I dropped the extended warranty and prayed and hoped it would break down and sure enough 6 years later it did just that. It was the happiest day of my dishwashing life. We purchased 4 Electrolux kitchen appliances, a refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and range 10 years ago. Wanted all my appliances to match. The range worked except the oven panel on the bottom started to bubble. I called to get it replaced and they told me it wasnt made anymore so I had to live with it. After 2 years the microwave broke and had to replace it, 3 years later the microwave broke again and had to buy another. Then 4 years went by, and the refrigerator broke down completely! Of course, I kept saying - I want them to all match so we bought a new refrigerator. Well about 6 months later, you guessed it, the microwave broke. That was our third one. When I called to see if it could be fixed or replace the panel found out it was so expensive had to buy another. When speaking to customer support I happen to mention about my oven panel. Said yes, they did have a replacement so I ordered it in February. About a month ago it started to bubble just like the last one. Last week I called them and said had to pay for another. Which I will not do. Have not mentioned my dishwasher because I dont use it!! Sure it would break if I did. Hope you were able to read this long experience. I purchased a Frigidaire freezer in 2007 and, three years later, I purchased an Electrolux Extended Warranty (service contract). During the life of the Extended Warranty I called for service because my freezer was not getting as cold as it should and it was accumulating a lot of frost (not a frost free model). Electrolux sent out a, so-called, service technician who looked at it and told me that there was too much food in it and freezers should not be loaded over 50% of their capacity. I found other accommodations for the excess food, ensuring that the freezer was not loaded more than 50% but this did not fix the problem. I called for service again and Electrolux sent out a, so-called, service technician from the same company who had a different story this time, telling me that the drawers at the bottom of the freezer were not going all of the way back, impeding the sealing of the door.I couldnt see that the drawers were impeding the closing and sealing of the door but I defrosted the freezer anyway and discovered that the door seal was still not sealing and I could feel the cold air escaping from the bottom door seal when the door was closed. I called for service again and requested another appliance repair company to do the inspection/repairs because all I was getting from the company that they were sending was a lot of busy work for me which was not fixing the problem. They did send another inspector who took several pictures of the door and bottom seal and left with the comment that the door was misaligned.Several days later I received a call from Electrolux stating that their findings were that the misalignment was the result of consumer abuse of the door and they would not repair the door. I informed them that was absurd and an examination of the pictures that the technician took would show that the door was not damaged and there was no consumer abuse. They informed me that there were NO pictures accompanying the report and Electrolux was standing by their decision NOT to cover the repair of the door. How very convenient that the pictures that were taken which would make my case and refute their claim had just vanished into thin air!?!? I have filed a complaint with the BBB but Electrolux is sticking by their decision NOT to perform on its contractual obligations and they are doing it through deceit. I have also filed a complaint with the California Department of Consumer Affairs and the results of that one are pending. BUYER BEWARE when dealing with Electrolux Extended Service Warranties! Like me, you might pay perfectly good money for a perfectly worthless piece of paper.

Just recently in the freezer and ice unit we have had a rust issue. If you have this problem dont worry about any help from Electrolux. Even though this is the top of the line they WILL NOT be there for you. We bought this beautiful refrigerator last year. My husband was taken with the lighting and didnt mind that it was a bit pricey ($3,500). The problem is... it doesnt make enough ice. The ice maker itself is in the top refrigerator area, its a little 7 x 7 box so if I fill a glass with ice, it empties it and it takes 90 minutes to put out another tray. I empty it into zip lock bags during the day as a back up because my husband goes insane every night when he tries to get ice and its empty. We had the ice maker replaced, and the filters changed. Its just too small to keep up. It would be great if you purchase a separate under counter ice maker (at $2,000). We thought because it was an Electrolux, it would be great, we were wrong. We purchased our Washer Dryer set less than a year ago. Already it has broken down twice. Both times, a bolt that holds the pulley to the back of the drum has loosened itself causing the pulley to cut into the drum housing and cause leakage. When contacting Electrolux the first time, the repair company they sent made 4 trips out to repair the unit, and we were without a working washer for several weeks. This time they dispatched a company that came out to assess the problem and then returned several days later to make the repair. They showed up at 8:00 pm on a Sunday night, and it is now 11:23 pm and it still isnt back together. To top it off, the repair person just informed me that a wire inside the machine was damaged and he will have to order a new one and return again. Electrolux has told us they will not replace the machine as long as their technician says it is repairable. I am very disappointed. For what we pay for these high end appliances, customer service is a joke. I live 35 miles from the nearest laundromat, and this is a total pain in the ** for my family of four... We have had to resort to hand washing my childrens school uniforms daily to get by and Electrolux seems to feel we arent entitled to a product that performs as advertised. I hope someone files a class action suit. I will never purchase Electrolux products again. Frigidaire has destroyed what was once the best brand name in the business.

In September of 2011 we purchased an Electrolux Wall Oven (EW30MC65JS1) as a part of a total kitchen rehab. This appliance also contains a microwave oven and is installed as a single unit: microwave above, convection oven below. Because of construction delays, the unit was not installed until summer of 2012 when it was put into residential service. Within months of the install, the microwave cooling fan would not stop running. Even after constantly cleaning the inside and leaving the door open for 30 min or more, the only way to stop the fan was to throw the breaker switch at the panel in the basement. Finally, after several weeks of this nonsense and a visit from a repairman, the microwave began to act normal. That is until April, 2014: the magnetron went, a $591.35 repair bill. I contacted Electrolux and they sent us a $99 debit card (!?). Yesterday evening I could not get the oven to turn off. About 4 hours after dinner, I went through the kitchen and noticed that the oven was still on. The control panel was showing only the time, nothing else. I turned the oven back on, then I turned it off and waited 30 min. The oven was still on pumping out heat as if it were still warming dinner. I threw the breaker switch at the panel downstairs. I waited overnight and threw the switch back this morning. The oven is now off and we do not intend to use it again. We have kept our designer current with all of the Electrolux problems and she has stopped advising clients to purchase Electrolux products. The unit cost about $3300 in 2011 and has cost at least another $750 to keep going. Given the dangerousness of the last problem with the oven not turning off Ill probably scrap it.

We purchased the oven from Lowes in 2012. It did not work from the start. Lowes refused to cover it and so did Electrolux claiming it was a 2008 model so not covered. After a hassle, they replaced the circuit board under an extended warranty plan. It then turned on but the temperature is totally random. It shuts off and on at will. According to the service people if the repairman says it cant be fixed we will get our money refunded. They seem confused about why no one will repair it. Based on our dealings so far and a little inside info about our local Lowes, I suspect it was already returned as not repairable and Lowes sold it to us anyway as a floor model. Do floor models usually not work? It is the worst appliance of any brand or any type that I have ever owned in forty years of buying appliances. Even if it did work, it is not user friendly or intuitive. You have to touch about six different buttons in the correct order just to bake at 350. My first scratch and dent with two knobs worked better. We bought it because it was supposed to replace all those appliances sitting on the counter, slow cooker, bread machine, etc. but it wont even just bake a freaking pot pie. I am grouchy because I have been trying for two hours and my blood sugar is really low.

Again no oven for 2 weeks until he replaced the control panel and within days the problem started again. So another parts replacement and no oven for weeks. Now the problem started within hours and another replacement, so 3 repairs and still not working. I purchased four Electrolux appliances in July of 2011. The appliances were delivered in July, but they were not in use until September or October. The appliances are infrequently used and no children live in the household. Since I started using the appliances, I have already had three service calls. First, back in November for the microwave; then in January for all four appliances. The third service call was on March 16 for the same appliances for the same problems, except for the microwave oven. This is rather shocking to me since I was under the impression that Electrolux appliances were supposedly better and higher performing kitchen appliances than many of the other brands. I previously owned a KitchenAid dishwasher and a low-end Kenmore range and refrigerator. Over a 10-15 year period, I had approximately two service calls for the range and refrigerator and dishwasher. All service calls were after the appliances were at least 5 years old. These appliances were exposed to high usage since there were children and more people living my home.On March 18, I noticed after baking a potato that condensation formed inside of the door of the microwave. Also, as I was cleaning the microwave, the outside stainless steel top panel over the door of the microwave is loose. It moves from side to side. I now have a fourth service call in to address this. It’s hard to believe that I am having so much trouble with all four of my Electrolux appliances that I purchased. I am very disappointed and unhappy that I spent extra money for such lousy performing appliances. The service calls are very time consuming and quite annoying. I have to take off considerable time from work to accommodate the service calls, not to mention how frustrating it is to deal with malfunctioning key appliances. I can only hope that my case is an exception and I hope that I have not been sold four lemons. Attached is a summary of my service calls.Microwave: Stopped working for several days. Service person could not find anything wrong, perhaps it’s an electrical surge issue. There’s a loose panel outside the top over the door. It will be addressed on next service call. I can’t remove stains on inside of stainless—no solution. Condensation buildup in door: this is not addressed yet. You have to press too hard on menu button.Range: Rubber gaskets on metal grates keep coming off. I was told that they sometimes melt. The gaskets are there, I believe, to keep the metal from rubbing against other metal. It was not fully addressed. It scratches easily—no solution. The gasket around menu panel came a part. Gasket was replaced.Refrigerator: Ice maker is not working and there is a knocking sound, condensation buildup, and the ice maker continues to make ice when full. Problem solved on first service call. The same problem reoccurred. Problem will be addressed on next service call. There is also loose screw found in refrigerator. That will be addressed on next service call.Dishwasher: It doesn’t clean dishes. What do I need it for? Solution: add dish detergent, add Rinse Aid, add Glass Magic and prime water leading to dishwasher. Most dishes are lightly soiled and they still don’t come clean, particularly the silver utensils. The stains are washed in rather than washed out. Top rack bottom joint keeps coming out of place. Problem addressed once by replacing the top rack. I’m not sure what will be done to address this problem again. I will discuss with the service rep when he comes on Monday, March 26. It takes a long time to get started. I sometimes have to press buttons several times to start the wash cycle—problem was not fully addressed.

My husband and I own a small business. Our employee scratched our customers brand new stainless steel refrigerator door. I called to order a replacement door panel. Upon receiving the part we installed it and noticed it had a light colored stripe running down the middle of the door that looks different than the rest of the refrigerator. I called customer service back right away. I sent them a picture and they tried to tell me it was like a piece of wood. That no two pieces of wood are alike. Really? How is a piece of wood and a piece of stainless steel the same? This door panel was less than quality and no one would purchase a refrigerator like that in the store. They tried to downplay and undermine the situation, making me feel like I was being unreasonable. All I wanted was to make my customer happy and her to have her refrigerator looking new again. I finally got them to agree to refund the door but they wouldnt send a new panel without receiving the other part back, so I agreed to pay for another one to be shipped. That way our customer wasnt without a fridge door in the meantime. I was told they would contact us in a few days to pick up the defective door. I also asked them to call me directly to handle the return. Instead, they called our customer the very next day and scheduled the pick up for Monday. We hadnt received the second door panel yet so I told them we werent ready to swap them out yet. They proceeded to tell me it was too late to stop the request since they had already sent it through but that UPS would leave us a shipping label. Yesterday was Monday and no shipping label. Today I called them again and they informed me to call UPS. UPS is not even aware of any labels and advised me to contact them again. I have now been told that I will have to pay the shipping plus a restocking fee for a piece of ugly metal that is below what the standard should be for a door on a refrigerator that cost close to $3K. Every single person I have spoken to has given me a different answer. The manager I spoke to tonight was rude and insensitive. They do not care about making the customer happy. They will just take your money and blow you off. It is looking like I may be out the money for the other door panel. I am afraid even if I pay the money to ship it back, they will just come up with another story as to why they cant refund me. Unbelievable! Stay far away from this company!!

Almost from the beginning this refrigerator has had problems. The ice maker continues to be non functioning as well as the interior lights. Customer Service is good at one thing saying Im sorry. I have put more money into this appliance than any other I have purchased over the past 30+ years. I purchased a new switch hoping that would resolve the lights not working, however it looks as though the board is defective. In order to fix the ice maker and the circuit board, we are looking at approximately 1500.00.At this point, I am better off to purchase another refrigerator, obviously not this brand. You spend more money on quality products and this has been one time where this wasnt the case. If you look at all the reviews, Electrolux obviously needs to go back to the drawing board because consumers arent happy and the issues seem to be the same i.e. ice maker. This refrigerator is only about 6 years old and when you spend 3500 you expect it be in good working condition for many years to come.

I purchased a refrigerator from home depot on the 23rd and it was delivered to me on March 2. Before the delivery guy brought the fridge in he informed me that the fridge was dented and if I wanted a new one I would have to wait another week without a fridge and with a small child that was out of the question. So I decided to call Electrolux to see if I could be compensated for the fridge. I talked with ** and she told me without pictures I could have $40 off the fridge, I took pictures of both sides of the fridge and did not hear back from her. I called the next day and spoke with ** and he said I guess we can give you $60 off. I was upset with the rude comment and said that I was still unhappy and he said well what are you expecting? I was not expecting anything but would have liked to be acknowledged that what I bought was not what I received. He told me he would talk to a manager and call me back the next day, I called and spoke with him again and he said I guess we can give you the $100 off. I was very upset by the way I was being treated and said that I would just prefer to have a new fridge sent since that is what I paid for. His response was oh so now youve changed your mind, we will deliver, then hung up on me. I got no apology for the situation or any details about when the new fridge would be delivered. I am astounded by the horrible customer service this company hires. I called back after being rudely hung up on and he refused to pass me on to a manager. I called back several times after this trying to speak with a manager and not one person would help me. It is now March 20 and after going to home depot in person I got the first apology for my situation and the man working there was amazing and threatened to call head office if my issue was not resolved. Turns out ** did not give my phone number to the delivery company. Appalling, dont use this company, its not worth it

Can only wonder if the GE acquisition is a factor in the terrible cust service from this once prestigious company! Previous service calls were handled professionally and never had an issue until Sept 15 when I called cust service and ordered replacement part which covers the motor, etc on back of refrig. Unit arrived approx 10 days later damaged beyond use due to improper packaging of unit (modified box broke open, packing material missing, and unit was crushed). Called cust service back and a replacement unit was shipped out and arrived 4 days later but it was the wrong part. There are only two parts on the backside of a refrig -- the metal plate covering 90% of the unit and the cardboard panel covering the motor, etc! Called cust service again and was advised even though Electrolux rep ordered the wrong part, they would only waive restock fee and I was financially responsible for return shipment for a 35 x 13 x 5 box. Lastly, submitted online complaint to cust service expressing my disagreement with the shipping issue. Next day received email reply stating Saw you called in and matter was resolved by waiving of restock fee.I seriously question if there is some type of learning/listening disability issue (such as Attention Deficit Disorder) with the Electrolux service staff. Or perhaps they just dont care -- put in their hours and collect a paycheck and go home. Three out of four reps failed to listen/absorb what was being said and merely mouthed platitudes and repeated errors. While I was very polite to all of the cust service reps, I am thoroughly disgusted with the corporation and would not recommend Electrolux products.

Horrible... My wife and I purchased a brand new Electrolux front load washer Dec. 2016 and just shy of a year the main bearing has failed! We are not heavy users of wash. We had a Kenmore Elite H4 for 13 years with no issues, until the main board died! We purchased based on reviews etc. and now regretting not going with another brand. Electrolux used to have a solid rep but now I will never recommend or purchase an appliance from them again.

Bought a front load washer and dryer 2 years ago. Within the first month our washer was beeping and displaying an error code. Called and told it would cost $125 for one of their authorized repairmen to take a look. Fast forward to 6 months old, it started leaving oil/grease stains on our clothing. Destroying these articles of clothing. Fast forward to 9 months in and out dryer wouldnt stay on for longer than 5 minutes at a time. Called and was told it was the heat element and it was not covered. ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?! So we paid out of pocket to repair and purchase the part. Now not even two years old the washer is leaking water everywhere causing extensive damage to our floor and wall. They are willing to cover the part as now suddenly parts ARE covered up to two years (so our heat element should have been covered!) but are still going to be responsible for the cost of labor. I have never seen such junk! What company does not stand behind their products?! I know and understand warranties. However with units that have had as many problems as these, it is inexcusable to shrug shoulders and say Oh well. Plagued with issues and no assistance. What a joke!!!

I gave Electrolux the error code so they knew the faulty part, but still waited 1 week for them to tell me what I already told them. I have a new Electrolux microwave that was 1 year old at the time I sent in my first complaint. The Microwave/convection oven is now 1 1/2 years old and still unusable. The door is cracked, it dangles on 2 hinges instead of 4. The original complaint was a foggy door. The first Electrolux authorized repairman claimed door was dirty. Not true. The foggy door turned out to be a warning sign that the door was faulty. A few months later the microwave door bubbled up and melted itself onto the stainless steel body of the unit. 4 authorized repairmen later with repairmen taking photos and writing reports, the melted door was replaced by an authorized Electrolux repairman attempted to mount the replacement door. He didnt tell me but I saw that the door was cracked. Did Electrolux send a cracked door or did he drop it before he mounted it? Dont know. I do know he didnt tell me about the crack. He was unable to hang the door properly. He said the door was too heavy. He gouged the unit itself by trying to hang the door. He crudely marked the unit as he attempted to scratch off the melted door parts from the main unit. He left with the door dangling by 2 hinges, leaving 2 hinges floating. By pushing and pulling the door and the hinges he pulled out the inside clips so far that they push out from the inside of the unit, making the unit look swollen. He crudely took a metal tool to scratch off the melted plastic. He left me with a scratched and protruding stainless steel inside to look at. The door flips open on its own, turning on the light. The door dangles. He said not to use the unit.6 months and 6 repairmen later, Electrolux wants to send another repairman out. They do not want to replace the unit. Instead they send guys to take pics and write up reports that are far from truthful. The unit is unusable as it has been since it first melted 4 months prior, 5 months prior with the first warning of a problem and 6 repairmen later in total. All have yielded a microwave that doesnt work, many days waiting for repairmen, many photos taken by repairmen and many calls to Electrolux in Augusta, Georgia and to Sweden.Their behavior tells me they do not intend to listen to logic, take responsibility for their manufactured goods or stand by the truth. I just want what I paid for: a microwave that works and with no physical damage caused by their authorized repairmen. I am willing to let them have their flammable and damaged microwave in exchange for my money back. It seems like that would be good business practice and the right thing to do but is that their intention?

I purchased a Frigidaire Fridge through Sears in August of 2015. I chose Sears because we have one locally and I heard they had excellent customer service. Within a few months of purchasing the fridge the door handles were loose and the water/ice system was not working. I called Sears but was directed to Transglobal. A technician was called and the problem was fixed. A few months later... another issue. At this point I asked if I could have fridge replaced as I felt it was a lemon. Transglobal said I needed 3 documented repairs within my warranty period. Lo and behold last week (20 months into owning the fridge) the compressor stopped working. My family is stranded with no fridge. I had to pay for a service call directed by Transglobal for the technician to tell me the compressor part alone costs 700$ plus 2 hours of labour. Transglobal contacted Electrolux to see if they would replace the cost of the part at the very least and possibly the whole unit as it has been a lemon. Electrolux denied me any support with repair or replacement. I called into Electrolux and asked to speak to a supervisor. I was told that I had to call back at 5:30 pm. Basically, he told me I could call back and send an email but he couldnt do anything for me. I said goodbye, and called back. This time I got a new person who was surprisingly helpful. He asked my name and said that Transglobal had not sent in the service reports for my fridge. He then requested the service reports and said he would get back to me. I am still waiting and Im hopeful this can be resolved. There are so many issues here... Firstly, the product, secondly the sideways way of getting support, thirdly the various skill levels in customer support. I have spoken to 8 people at both Electrolux and Transglobal and 3 have been helpful. Thats less than 40% success in dealing with customers.

We bought a Frigidaire self cleaning ceramic glass cooktop range in June of 2018, one month after the warranty period my wife turned on oven to preheat it. After about 3 min, she heard a loud popping sound and the breaker in the house tripped! She opened the oven and after the smoke cleared she saw a quarter sized melted hole in bottom of the oven. We knew the warranty was over so we called an appliance repairman to look at the stove. He found that the bottom element shorted and burned a hole in bottom pan and the convection fan was burned out! All the parts that needed to be replaced could not be located in Canada! These are very dangerous appliances! Stay away! The model number of the stove is CGEF3037TFC.

The refrigerator basically died - cardiac arrest - A repair not under the 5 yr category and nearly half the cost of the $3,600 we invested in the appliance. The only remedy Electrolux offered were discount on parts, but cannot find repairman to work with this arrangement. Weve had these appliances for about five years now. Weve had major service on the refrigerator at least four times. The ice maker has been replaced twice and is currently not working, the drawer guides on the main drawer in the refrigerator area have had to be replaced and the temp sensor had to be replaced. The spring on the dishwasher door broke off its mounting plate, the door handle broke off of the microwave, and a year later the entire door assembly has fallen apart. They look pretty nice and the dishwasher is quiet, so Ill give them one star but these are just not well-built appliances. Save yourself expense and frustration. Look elsewhere...

We purchased a side by side Electrolux fridge around 6 years ago. In less than a year the front display conked out which we reported to the dealership where we bought the unit, however Electrolux does not have the parts on hand. After repeated demands and expiration of the warranty no parts were delivered. Just last year almost 5 years after purchase, after a dismal customer service experience, the referred sub-contractor advised us that the motherboard gave in and lo and behold they even advised us to replace the front display, of course for a considerable fee. After repair and less than a year our fridge gave out again, less than a year mind you. Now the customer service personnel are as bad as usual, sending us unexperienced repairmen. After waiting for a month for the results of the test we were informed that the unit is beyond repair since there was a leak in the cooling lining. Is this how poor Electrolux products are? That your products can stand the test of time... Never will I buy nor recommend, and I would in fact discourage other consumers in buying your very, very, very poor products.

Electrolux Washer Model EIFLS55IIW1 - Washing machine delivered 1/25/2014.
Electrolux Washer Model EIFLS55IIW1 - Washing machine delivered 1/25/2014. Purchased matching dryer 6/1/14. Dryer control panel dies after three months. Repaired under warranty. Just short of 22 months of delivery washer does not spin out clothes. $100 for repairman to come out. Says, Broken belt. Comes back a week later with belt. But NO, not the belt, the pulley, and the pulley ate into the drum, destroying that as well. 22 months old and washer is considered totaled by repairman. However, can be fixed for $1,200 for parts and labor. Wait, I only bought this 22 months ago for $899. Now the fun, Electrolux says that it will warranty parts and that I can pay for the labor. Again, top of the line machine should of lasted at least 5 years, not 22 months!! Frigidaire washer made by Electrolux stood the test of four teenagers, dog blankets, horse blankets, etc., but the more expensive top of the line model could not stand up to two senior citizens doing normal washes, with the wife doing all the appropriate cleanings on machine. Bottom line, if I did not have the stackable set I would of not replaced it with this piece of junk. Even wife says the first machine did not clean the clothes properly, not enough water, and ran far beyond time for a load of wash. Recommendation: Stay away from the Electrolux line. Read the other comments about water, service, etc. They are not going to help and the new machine to replace was even more than the first one. No discounts, no credits. Nothing from Electrolux. Dont buy is our recommendation!

We purchased new front loading washer and dryer this winter for our new home. 6 months of use and the washer stopped draining. Warranty service tech came out and found the drain line plugged deep inside the machine. To fix he had to remove the top and front of the machine to get to a plastic inline bowl that he said is prone to becoming plugged. We have a lab and he said we need to shake out everything before washing as the dogs hair will clog the machine. This repair is not for the amateur and if it wasn’t under warranty it would have been about $240. Can’t believe the poor design and difficult accessibility to do routine cleaning. Our dog is 8 years old and we’ve never had a problem like this. Will think twice about buying another one when the time comes.

In April of 2015 we purchased a new home from a builder. The builder had Electrolux appliances installed so we went with what they had not knowing what a nightmare that would be! The first visit from a repair company happened within 60 days of being in our home. They ended up removing the refrigerator and giving us a new one because the fridge had a bent frame! The second refrigerator is still in our home and I have had to call and have 2 more service calls. Now, we are dealing with an ice maker that isnt working properly so we have ice building up on the back wall of our refrigerator which pushes the drawers out of their slides. We are now waiting for parts that are on backorder so our repair can be done. No worries, I can keep chipping ice off of the back of my brand new fridge! When you call Electrolux for a repair you end up speaking to people who never give you the same information about how or when the service appointment will happen. Their customer service is a mess and the real joke is that they ask you when you are finished setting up another appointment if you would like to take a survey to tell them how they are doing! Ha! Electrolux products, service and service providers stink and as a company they should be ashamed of themselves for making such crap products and charging so much for them! Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for appliances. I mean really, how many days do you want to sit home from 8am-1pm or 1pm to 5pm waiting for repair work to be done? Lifes too short for that!

We purchased a new home from a builder and moved in January of 2015. The home had new stainless steel Electrolux kitchen appliances, including the 30 built-in microwave (EW30SO60QSA). The appliances came with a 1 year manufacturers warranty. Later that year we noticed the handle on the door was becoming unstable & loose. I called the 800 warranty number & a local repair technician came to repair the handle. After an hour or more of trying to find a way to access the handle screws he gave up and just ordered a new door. In a few days the new door was delivered & he installed it. I dont have exact dates because it was done under warranty & I didnt get a bill. Now the 2nd door has the same problem & cant be repaired. I paid a technician who tried to repair the handle & he couldnt. He said the only option is to pay $460 plus shipping & installation for a new door. I called the Electrolux customer service number to see if they could make some sort of allowance for the what seems to a product design defect. I was told by a supervisor that they dont acknowledge the problem & I should have bought the extended warranty for the microwave. So,I dont recommend Electrolux or their appliances.

We redid our kitchen on 2012, installing a full suite of Electrolux products. The refrigerator was an odd size, so we spend a fair amount of money building cabinetry around it to make it fit. The refrigerator worked for about four and a half years and then needed the computer replaced. Since then, there have been three additional repairs needed, replacing the fan, heating coil and thermostat. The last repair was two months ago. We have spend approx. $1,200 on these repairs. The unit is now not working again. I called Electrolux to explain the situation and ask if they would be willing to assist us with the purchase of a new refrigerator, given the issues with this one. I really dont want a new one, but dont want to incur the cabinetry bills for another refrigerator as I dont know that I can find one of the same size. They said they were not willing to offer any assistance. Their products are expensive, dont last and they dont stand behind it. All good reasons to never buy any of their products.

We purchased this model (EI23BC35KS4) about 8 months ago and have had no issues with it. I think that unfortunately many of the other reviews here are referring to older models. This particular model has LED lighting, which I assume must have solved the issue of the incandescent bulbs 'blistering' the plastic because ours doesn't seem to have that problem. I also think the design of the upper ice machine has been improved because ours works just fine. However a few seconds after you dispense ice, there is a flap that must close to keep the ice maker cool, and if you open the door too soon the machine will beep until you close the door and the flap can shut. It is a very minor annoyance. Overall we are very happy with our purchase and would recommend this fridge, and would also recommend that people stop expressing their hatred of other models through reviews of this model!

I moved into my new home last year. It was furnished with various Electrolux appliances, refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave. We decided to utilize the self-cleaning feature of our Electrolux oven model #EW30DS65GS. Well the self-cleaning feature worked fine but then the upper oven wouldnt work. It only stayed at 100 degrees. So I researched the issue and found that its a problem common to your dual ovens, they overheat and blow a fuse, blow the thermal control and may only need the reset the button. The button I understand is located in the back of the oven and were unable to get to it since its built-in and glided onto our Kitchen counters. This has been so frustrating! The manual doesnt warn you that there would be a problem with the oven when the self-cleaning feature is utilized. Had we known, we would have never used the self-cleaning feature. Now I have a nice Electrolux dual oven but the upper oven doesnt work. I think that Electrolux should provide concessions to people that have these products and cover the cost of the repair. It doesnt seem right that a common feature as self-cleaning would result in disastrous consequences when used. It appears that this is a manufacturing defect with the oven. I implored the company to assist me with this repair so I can take full advantage of my oven. It really is a nice oven and its a shame that it cant be fully utilized as intended. I spoke to customer assistance several times and emailed them with no avail.

Two stars is too high but Im past angry, just very dissatisfied with my Electrolux appliances. Ive had major problems with my dishwasher. Within several months and after numerous replacements of the control panel, I was already on my third dishwasher. Its working now but it does a questionable job of cleaning. Some of the dishes come out dirtier than they went it. My inexpensive GE did a better job and in ten years I never had a repair issue. The dishwasher now just sits there looking pretty as Im no longer using it. I love my induction range... when it works. At 23 months not one, but two control panels went out. Electolux agreed to cover parts which Im told would have been a couple thousand. I paid a few hundred for the service technician. Repairs took approximately six weeks. Before and after the replacement I find myself making frequent visits to the electric control box to flip the switch and wait while the range reboots. This is extra irritating when I think food prep is almost done only to find the range top or oven is not working. Between the dishwasher and range I estimate Ive had 18 service calls. Each one of them forcing me to take anywhere from two to four hours of uncompensated time away from work. Ive not had any major problems with the refrigerator except that its poorly designed. When you close the freezer drawer, ice slides over the back of the container preventing the drawer from closing. We keep a yardstick nearby to slide the ice out as the opening is too tight to reach our arms in. Guests have needlessly apologized for closing the drawer too hard. Please! The filters need frequent replacement and are expensive. Our salesperson made no mention of this foreseeable cost. And the darn alarm doesnt work when the drawer is open (because of ice thats slid where its not suppose to) and the ice cream is melting; but it goes off in the middle of the night, screaming for me to come turn it off, when all that happened is the electricity went out for a few seconds. The range hood works okay but its noticeably louder now than when we first installed it. Through all of this Electrolux has been more concerned with the performance of the contracted technicians than with the performance of their appliances. Im at an age where lots of friends are doing kitchen remodels. I tell them all, dont buy Electrolux. Spend your $7K+ elsewhere; And they are.

In January, 2017 we purchased the top of the line Electrolux Washer and Gas Dryer. Shortly after the washing machine was installed, water started to leak from under the unit. It flooded our laundry room. A week later a tech showed up and diagnosed that a pump was installed incorrectly at the factory. Two weeks later it was replaced. Guess what? It continued to leak. This time I asked for a different tech to come out to ensure he knew what he was doing. He determined it was a different pump that was cracked so another part had to be ordered. By this time I was so upset that I demanded a new machine. After much negotiation, Electrolux agreed to replace the washer. Now last week, our dryer stopped working. We started to notice about a month ago that it was taking longer to dry clothes. Finally on Jan. 5th exactly one year from when we took delivery, the machine stopped working. I called Electrolux Jan. 8th and they said the one year warranty is up so I have to pay for a service call. The customer service at this company is terrible and they forget who is paying their salaries. I will never buy another Electrolux appliance and I urge others to avoid them like the plague!

We bought a counter depth french door refrigerator with the ice maker in the door. From the very beginning we have had trouble with the ice maker. They repaired it twice and it still did not work. The last time my husband called, they said they needed to order a part and we never heard from them again. We finally unhooked the water to the fridge. When Sears sent their extended warranty offer, I wrote them a letter and told them that I would not buy their warranty due to the fact that the refrigerator was not repaired by Electrolux, and Sears did not assist us in any form, so why would I purchase an extended warranty. Now, the seal on the freezer failed. We have never gotten any satisfaction from Electrolux or Sears concerning our refrigerator. So today when I went out to buy my new cooking range, I absolutely ruled out Electrolux. I will never do business or buy an electrolux product again.

I purchased a brand new home with all Electrolux appliances. After just my 3rd load of clothes that I did it turns out that the brand new Electrolux washing machine started to overrun and continue to fill without stopping! I’m so glad I was home otherwise the whole house would of been flooded. I got somewhat lucky that I was able to turn it off in time and the damage was a few hundred dollars. After I had the builder and service person take all the necessary pictures to prove the defect Electrolux didn’t care and refused to reimburse me for my losses. This is why I’m writing this because they should know people are a lot smarter than they think and this will cause people to look elsewhere. They also own Frigidaire so another brand that they will lose on, all it take is word of mouth and the truth will eventually come out. All they care about is money and deception.

We bought the Electrolux washer and dryer that said it had fast wash and fast dry. We were planning to buy Samsung as we had this brand before and it worked great. We went to Bad Boys and they persuaded us to buy this brand mainly because of the fast wash and dry features. The washer was fine but the dryers fast dry feature does not work at all. Garbage. We told Bad Boys that we were not happy and they sent someone to take a look. They said that there was nothing wrong with it and that that is how it was. Neither Electrolux or Bad boys did anything further to help us. We spent over $6000 in appliances and no help at all regarding this issue. Terrible customer services on both parts. We will NEVER ever buy this brand again.

They stonewall, and will not do anything; wont replace, nor will they authorize repair. We have been without a washer for over a week since repair estimate was submitted, by their repairman. Have lost all confidence in their product and their support. The support people are not helpful at all, every time you get on the phone you need to start from the beginning, incorrect information is put into the system. It is just really bad. I was heating up food in the microwave and a spark started to flare in the corner where the metal rack was held up by the plastic hook. It was a good thing that I didnt walk away from the microwave or who knows how large the fire could have gotten. I called the customer care number and because I didnt buy the extended warranty, they could not help me but provide me repair numbers which I would have to pay for. I asked if this kind of thing happens a lot with their products but they said no. Has anyone out there experienced the same thing I have? My appliance model is EI30MH55GSA.I just feel they should cover something like this because its a quality assurance problem that could definitely have led to a bigger problem (house/electrical fire). Why would I pay to repair this microwave when my confidence in their product has definitely wavered? I would prefer to put my money in a different manufacturer and have peace of mind. I regret buying all of their different appliances because most of them have a problem (oven time display doesnt work and refrigerator ice dispenser spits and continue to serve ice after release). We were really excited to buy their products when we bought our house believing we would receive a high end product associated with their costs, but instead we are greatly disappointed with what it really is. Beware and be wise. Do not purchase Electrolux!!!

Im on my 3rd replacement Electrolux refrigerator. This replacement is an Electrolux French Door refrigerator. It has been seen by two different Electrolux appointed certified repair shops. The problem is the interior casing is melting near the top 2 bulbs. Both repairmen from different repair shops said that they have been seeing this problem, and that some have heated to the point of serious damages. I was told by both Electrolux repairmen, that the problem was irreparable, and reported it as so to Electrolux. Electrolux disagreed with both repair shops. Electrolux continues to try to send a repair shop, to agree to do the repair their way. Electrolux continues to evade the big problem of fire, and continues to be inconsistent with its responses to me. Last week, they said it is absolutely irreparable, and this week, left a message on my machine, that denied the replacement, in lieu of some Epoxy to do a cosmetic repair. What about the high heat from the bulbs? What about the repair shops that deny this resolution? Is this a fire hazard or not? I still have warranty.

French door refrigerator - This has been the worst appliance ever created.
French door refrigerator - This has been the worst appliance ever created. We purchased in the late Fall of 2011. Very soon the plastic grey trim popped off the freezer door for no reason. Just two adults live here so no wear and tear. Not happy about it but taped it on until finally giving up on tape holding. Customer services response was lame and we were not willing to pay for their ridiculous fix so I would have to live with this aesthetic. Then we began having issue after issue with the ice maker. Grinding noise, not making ice or it all freezing together -- on and on and it never got fixed. Repairman has been out 3 times in past 2 months. He was back yesterday and we pulled the fridge from the wall and we were horrified. The back had a big block of ice protruding. It had sweated and rusted out the entire back panel. The insulation was shot. This is nothing more than a boat anchor now. We paid a lot of $ for an appliance that didnt even last 6 years and weve hated it since about a month after purchasing. We have lawyers in the family and were planning on initiating a class action suit. I would use an Igloo cooler before I would ever consider an Electrolux refrigerator or anything! They dont stand by their product and they shouldnt be allowed to get away with these continued issues. The fridge should be banned from further production and the company should close its door if they cannot remediate the problems and compensate customers for these losses. We now have to buy a new fridge after spending approx $4000 less than 6 years ago.

Our new home came with Electrolux appliances, which I thought was great. Not so much. My dishwasher buttons are smearing off (Model EI24ID81SS) and the button board requires unplug and replugging when the button board freezes. My wall oven has (EW30EW55PS) has a temperature probe that worked for the two times I used it, and does not work. My microwave (EW30SO60QS) creates steam on the buttons, which have already malfunctioned for 4 months where the time or timer just didnt work. I have to leave my microwave open to make sure the steam for using the microwave does not break the buttons. The gas stove top (EW36GC55PS) didnt ignite one of the burners after 1 month of use so I had to manually grab a lighter & ignite the burner for use. Ive never had so many issues from one brand. The only 1 star is for their aesthetic appearance.

Over 3 years ago, we replaced our kitchen with all new Electrolux appliances. Since then the bottom freezer, French door refrigerator has had the ice maker replaced 3 times and repaired many more. For the first 6 months we owned it, the ice maker did not work. Electrolux kept sending incomplete/incorrect parts to the repairman and they still would not give us a new refrigerator. After the warranty expired, we purchased the extended warranty for $350+ per year, for two years, then we stopped. The ice maker has broken again; we spent $450 for a repair this week and it still doesnt work and now they want another $250 for another part.We are beyond angry; we are exhausted by this refrigerator, process, company. We have decided No More! and for now will make ice in trays while I go out to every store in town and begin researching the products, companies and service records to buy a new refrigerator. It is a very sad day in America when American companies treat their citizens this way and we will absolutely never purchase another Electrolux or Frigidaire product. They should be zapped with a fine, like automakers, etc.

Microwave (Model # EI30BM60MSA / Serial # KG42833822) I purchased a newly constructed home on 03/04/2015. I paid an upgrade charge to have Electrolux appliances installed in my kitchen. I received a one year warranty. Six months after owning the microwave the door handle broke off upon opening it. There are two non-body building adults and no children in the house. It was covered under warranty. A technician was dispatched. He was unable to replace the door handle and had to replace the entire door (destroying my wall in the process). Six months after that, the same thing happened with the door handle breaking off. No coverage as warranty expired eleven (11) days prior. I called Electrolux customer service and spoke with a supervisor. Although polite, she definitely was reading from a memorized script (really frustrating). She was unable to assist with my issue beyond just sending a replacement door handle. I explained to her my disappointment with Electrolux products and she stated she would make note of my complaint. Amazing.I will reiterate my extreme dissatisfaction with Electrolux products and its customer support. This issue is clearly an ongoing one as it has happened twice within a year. At the very least, Electrolux should dispatch and pay for a technician to replace the door handle ESPECIALLY since the last technician found it impossible to perform. If a technician found it impossible, what makes Electrolux think that a customer can replace the handle? Stand by your products Electrolux.

We bought our Zen vacuum cleaner in fall 2016, the main selling point being that it was claimed to be the most silent vacuum cleaner in the world. Well, it was silent for the first weeks. Then, there was this loud squeaky noise when vacuuming carpets. Turned out there was an air leak around the fitting of the tube in the handle due to cheap plastic that wears out in no time. Also turned out that the two year warranty did not cover the tube, which was only covered by 6 months. Within these 6 months we had the tube replaced three times, but to what use? The construction itself is wrong in combination with poor material, and it will wear out again no matter how many times you replace the part. This flaw also applies to the built-in nozzle holders that are too weak to hold the nozzle/tube in place. It keeps falling out making noise and waking up the children. Zen is anything but the most silent vacuum cleaner. One more thing while I am at it, the buttons! They are designed for the sake of design, but are absolute useless. Lets just say that the power button of Zen combines the versatility of traditional buttons, and the tactility of a touch screen. Press it and behold, nothing happens! In short, vacuum cleaners from Electrolux may look (and sound) good at a first glance, but the quality is a disgrace for Swedish engineering.

Wow where do I start. Purchased for almost $3800 in 8/09. Less then a yr old, all the door hinges had to be replaced with a upgraded hinge. Three months later the door catches broke and had to be replaced. Six months later the ice maker was making very loud popping noises. It had to be replaced, not once but twice with again upgraded unit. The ice makers still makes lots of strange noises. Service tech says thats normal? The final straw came the week prior to this past Christmas when the info panel read an error code of SY EF. Called for service and after several days they came out to advise me it was the evaporator fan and control board. The unit ran continuously trying to keep at requested temp, all to no avail. You would think an appliance would last longer than 5 years without a major malfunction. Not so with Electrolux. Still waiting for parts to arrive, 2 weeks later. I would go into additional details about the dishwasher and microwave oven at this time. Junk. Ive learned my very expensive lesson.

Client purchased Microwave range hood model number (ME16H702SES) Serial number (078N7WTJ301913R) approximately 11/25/2015. After approximately 20 hours of use over the period of a year or so the keyboard on the door was nonresponsive. Flashed 12:00 repeatedly but touchpad would not respond. Electrolux Frigidaire, through their automated response system, supplied the name of a appliance repair company, Best Aid Appliances Service (760-494-6444). A few weeks went by and we agreed on a appointment. They said they are free would be $150. And we had to charge us $75 for a diagnosis fee and $75 upon the repair of the microwave. Over the course of a month or so they arrived three times. Each time they were sent a defective part. After the third time they said they would order a new one and they would contact us in two weeks. We never heard from them. We called Frigidaire. They apologized and referred us to another appliance repair company. This company was Michaels Appliance Corporation. Phone number 818-609-0912. Michaels Appliance Repair tech came over. He was very professional and a well informed gentleman. He made three visits, each time Electrolux Frigidaire concessions sent him a defective part. He suggested I need to contact Electrolux Frigidaire and inform them about once again a defective part. He asked me to contact him when Electrolux Frigidaire sent me a new door. The new door arrived. The gentleman came back. We installed the door and once again the touch controls for a non-responsive. Once again we received a defective product or part. After speaking on the phone with Frigidaire Electrolux tech-support they informed me that the product now is out of warranty and they would not take responsibility for any defective parts they sent me prior and they could no longer assist me with the repair of their product. I explained, You have been sending me defective parts for nine months. So we have a product we paid $602 for plus a $75 diagnostic fee and still we do not have a functioning product???

When reading the following please keep in mind that all of it occurs from 1
When reading the following please keep in mind that all of it occurs from 1/13/16 through 1/3/17 - a period of less than 1 year. During this period, service technicians were at our house 13 times! In addition to that time, we also spent HUNDREDS of hours on the phone with Electrolux, Frigidaire and appliance repair companies. We purchased from Sears a Frigidaire standalone freezer. The freezer was less than 1 year old when problems started which didnt bode well for the future so we purchased a 3-year extended warranty from Electrolux which handles the warranties for Frigidaire. The freezer continually developed icicles inside the door, the drain continued to freeze and condensation had nowhere to go, so thick sheets of ice then formed and built up on the bottom of the freezer to the extent that the slide-out drawer was frozen solid and could not be utilized until the frost-free freezer was defrosted to release the drawer. This required that we find a place for all of the food that was in the freezer while it defrosted. At one point the freezer stopped (while we were out of town) and we came home to more than $1,000 of food loss and a smell that still is not completely gone. Of course, that loss was not covered by Electrolux or Frigidaire. The extended warranty covers replacement of the appliance as a lemon if a part fails at least 3 times AND a repair tech says it cant be fixed. Electrolux was able to string us along for more than a year because each time a tech came out for the SAME PROBLEM, they tried to fix it by replacing a different PART and the lemon protection only applies if the SAME PART fails 3 times. (Several parts were replaced 2 times.) So they kept replacing different parts to fix the same problem and none of it worked. The first repair company finally told Electrolux, they couldnt correct the problem and were not going to keep coming out, so Electrolux assigned another company to pursue the problem. That was equally unsuccessful so they tried a third repair company. That third company also told Electrolux the freezer was not able to be fixed. Most service calls required multiple visits because the tech would come out, decide what part needed to be replaced but NEVER had the part in their vehicle so they had to go back and the part had to be ordered requiring another visit for the same service call. The parts almost never came in when expected and the repair companies rarely called to say the parts were in - so we always had to do the follow-up. Several times a single service call required 3, 4 and once even 5 trips to our house because the tech needed a different part, or there were supposed to be 2 parts but the tech showed up with only one, etc. Each trip required us to be at home and therefore we had to arrange our schedules to accommodate the technician. And we had to be available for a minimum of 4 hours because they only give you a window during which a tech will arrive and it was not unusual that the tech was running behind and wouldnt make it during the 4 hour window. On one occasion, the appointment was supposed to be between 8:00 and 12:00 and the tech finally showed up at 7:30 pm - almost 12 hours after the start of the 4-hour window. We eventually contacted state agencies, which then contacted Electrolux/Frigidaire on our behalf. Electrolux made the following offer: For a delivery/removal charge of $150, they would replace the lemon freezer with the EXACT SAME MODEL and, OUR WARRANTY WAS NOT VALID FOR THE NEW FREEZER even though there were still 2 years on the warranty we had already purchased. WE WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER PRODUCT FROM SEARS. We will never purchase an Electrolux or Frigidaire appliance. Choose your appliance carefully!

As in other reviews we had problems with the ice maker on our Electrolux fridge. It was also repaired twice and now it works intermittently, plus we get some gray mold like contamination in some of the cubes. Our microwave window was replaced once because of a foggy deposit on the inside of the glass, the fog is back again! The display is fine for everyday use but if you try doing some programming the display is illegible. Our dishwasher has a plethora of wash choices of which none do as good a job as our much cheaper GE Profile in Florida. Unless you basically hand wash the plates, pans, and silverware, you will end up with some food residue on some of the items. The flat top range does not have a exhaust vent only a cooling fan for the electronics which blows out the front. If some dripping end up smoking in the oven, the smoke stays there until you open the door and the smoke sets off the alarms in the house! To top it off, one has to buy every few months an expensive water filter for the fridge, and when putting the range in clean mode, you have to remove all the racks and side bars for it to work so you end up with a clean oven but dirty racks! When we first purchased the trio it was promised that we would get a $300 rebate, which we never received because we submitted the paperwork incorrectly! We received no help from the store because it was a strictly Electrolux deal, and none from Electrolux themselves. In spite of the fact they had proof of purchase, which should have been enough to qualify us for the rebate, they never made any effort to satisfy us. As mentioned earlier, I would have been a lot more satisfied with a GE or LG product for at least half the price!

I contacted Electrolux because a bad smell was coming from the drain pan, since this was the first time I ever had this problem. When I tried to pull the drain pan out to empty, it was to my surprise that the pan would not coming without taking the fridge apart. Since this was a manufacturing defect I would think they would offer to take care of the problem. But I got an e-mail from customer service to tell me to lay on the floor and stick a rag into the pan to empty or use a turkey baster. Since I am 66 years old and a stroke victim that is not an option for me they refuse to do anything. I contacted Lowe’s where it came from, their customer service offer no help. Sorry I have vision problems so caps are the only way I can see what I write.

My husband and I are very disappointed with our Electrolux French Door Refrigerator! We purchased one in 2009 and paid $4,300. I thought with that price, it should last at least 10 years. Well, after a year and a half, the ice maker broke. Good thing we purchased the extended service warranty for 5 years. Repair man came and replaced the ice maker. Couple months later, it broke again. Called again. Broke again, and again. So finally in 2012, Electrolux gave us a new refrigerator (same model) for a replacement. It worked until late 2015 when the ice maker started acting up again. Water started leaking behind the ice maker, on the back wall of the fridge. And after a while, the water freezes up. I knew my warranty is over so I thought Id live with it. I always had a towel where it leaks so it wont get all over the fridge. Its terrible and embarrassing. Everyone would ask me why I have a frozen towel in the fridge and I would always reply DO NOT BUY ELECTROLUX. About 2 weeks ago, a piece of hard plastic and styrofoam came out of the ice maker while I was dispensing ice. Like, what the heck is it and where did it come from?? Then last Friday, the fridge totally died! I called every technician in town but unfortunately, nobody couldnt make it until today, Monday (weve had no fridge for 4 days!) Diagnosis: the control board is burnt out and it melted! Cost of repair: $522! This expensive fridge is a piece of junk! I am pissed and Im trying to get Electrolux pay for at least the parts. Lets see what happens next. But I will never buy Electrolux again.

We love our new dishwasher! The various configurations all work well and the spray heads and the delicate wine glass holders are very special. We are even washing our precious Steuben glasses in the new washer. Not a streak in sight!

Electrolux FFHT2117LWO over-under refrigerator: This was a replacement for our old one under a utility company energy program. It has run OK, but you cant turn the defrost off, and it seems to run a lot. The handles are our biggest problem. We had to remove the bottom door handle because we hit our heads on it a lot-- opening from the left. It seems to be in just exactly the wrong place. Then, when youre rummaging in the main frig cabinet and straighten back up, POW you hit your head on the freezer handle, very painful and the handles have sharp edges, too. I have thought about removing their awful handles and making my own which curve up, from the bottom of the freezer door. They are not reversible. Emails to Electrolux customer service have gone without response.

I purchased a Front loader Electrolux brand washer and dryer on February 19 from Home Depot for a Presidents Day sale. I was given a delivery date on March 3. Four days before they were supposed to deliver, Electrolux called me and asked if they could deliver on March 31, because my dryer was back ordered and they would only deliver them together. I told them that was very inconvenient because I had no other washer and dryer and I had a 6 month old baby. I asked them what I should do. They told me to call Home Depot. Home Depot was helpful, they said they would reimburse me $300 the cost it would be for laundry service. On March 28, I called Electrolux to make sure they were delivering my washer/dryer on the 31st. They told me that again my dryer was backordered and they would not be delivering it until May 16. They said there was nothing they could do that I would have to contact Home Depot for any help. I asked if they were planning on just not calling me and letting me sit around all day waiting for my delivery to not happen and she said, Well, we try and contact our customers but we dont always get to everyone. Needless to say, Im fuming angry and I am going to try and cancel my order and find something else.

I purchased a Frigidaire refrigerator and stove in July, 2014. I thought I was purchasing a reputable brand, so I didnt need to purchase an extended warranty agreement. In January 1, 2017, the refrigerator stopped cooling. I lost items in the freezer as well as the lower refrigerator section. I called a service technician referred by Lowes. He told me the diagnosis and the repair would be as much as a new refrigerator. I called Frigidaire Customer Service. They told me the only thing they could do was offer a discount on the replacement part. I still would need to pay for the labor and the part. I recently retired and cannot afford to do this nor purchase a new refrigerator. I have now been without a refrigerator since January 1, 2017. I had to begin 2 jobs to save up to hopefully purchase a refrigerator. As it stands I will not be able to do that for at least 2 months. I am very disappointed in Frigidaire/Electrolux. In the great scheme of things I may only be one consumer, but even one should matter. I had to use a computer at a school since I cannot afford internet. I left the paperwork at home so I dont have the receipt with me to add to this.

The refrigerator stopped cooling. I registered a complaint (ref no PTNA 2210110036, dated 8 Oct 2011). The delay in attending to the complaint resulted in leakage of oil. I was later advised to get the compressor changed as oil change cannot be done. Even after compressor change, the refrigerator was not working and was taken to ASC and returned the unit with drilling in the back to do the work. How and with whose permission the drilling is being done? Is this the standard of repairing the refrigerator? Why should I go for legal proceeding against Electrolux under Indian Penal Court Section 420, 120B?

This has been the worst product ever to purchase. I bought a Frigidaire Gallery Series refrigerator back in May of 2016 and had problems ever since. It was the refrigerator on top with two doors and a freezer at the bottom. Had I known that these appliances were only going to last 5 to 7 years tops, I would not have purchased such a flawed product. That is the life expectancy of these products and people dont usually know that. I have had 7 repair people come and take a look at it and they say it cant be fixed and not working at all. It wont get cold or make ice and it has been down for 6 weeks. So dont purchase this product.

I called your 1-800-265-8352 number because the dryer I just purchased on December 20, 2021 and tried using for the first time yesterday (there was a delay in using the machines because a plumber was required to hook up the washing machine due to where the drain is in our house) and I discovered that there is no heat in the dryer and its not drying my clothes. I called Canadian Appliance store where I purchased the washer/dryer and they told me to call the number I mentioned. I called, waited 20+ minutes to talk to someone and when they answered there was so much static on the line it was difficult to hear. I have been on the phone for over 2 hours today. I have given the serial number, my name and address multiple times. At first the representative told me it was no longer under warranty, now hes trying to create an account and has given me an account number. Needless to say, this is extremely disappointing customer service. Apparently, a technician will be calling me tomorrow to arrange a time to come, however, given the questionable service so far and extremely poor audible quality I have no confidence that I will actually hear from someone. I tried emailing Electrolux.ca but my email was denied?! There does not seem to be a way of communicating with anyone from customer service. I tried calling again to verify an account had been created and that someone would be calling me tomorrow and that person disconnected the call. I tried calling again to verify and all 3 times it was almost impossible to hear the person on the line because of static and echo. My experience is not good. What are you willing to do to save rectify this?

Purchased a dishwasher for a summer home and it began leaking after a few washes. Because winter came and we didnt use the dishwasher the warranty was up. During each wash water poured over the floor. Had a drain pump fixed for over $400. Customer service was horrible. Now after two years it is doing it again. Another $400. Do not buy Electrolux appliances.

My husband purchased this dishwasher from Home Depot a year ago. From the day it was installed, it has given us nothing but problems. If a dishwasher had the power to ruin a persons day, this is the model that would do that. The electronic display never works. Just never works. Push them all day to try to start a load of dishes and you get nothing but beeps. You cannot simply push the type of load and hit start, as most dishwashers allow you to do. Its all computerized and nothing works. When we finally do hit the buttons enough times to get the machine to start, it runs a cycle and the dishes come out the same as they went in - not cleaned at all.Weve called Home Depot... Weve called Electrolux - all to no avail. Electrolux sent out a serviceman who did nothing. They wouldnt accept a return for this horrible machine, yet charged over $1000 for it. Im just waiting until my husband says we should just start over and buy a new machine. He chose this one himself, so Ill probably be waiting a while. Ugh. So frustrated.

DO NOT BUY Electrolux EI32AR65JS (similar to EI32AR80QS and several other model numbers) OR THE COMPANION FREEZER. The cooling system failed on my unit within 6 months. I have been without a fridge for over a month. This is not just a slight risk, but almost a guarantee based on the amount of feedback on the internet. No coverage for lost food. No time limit on how long the repair can take. No extension of the warranty for the repaired unit. Will not even replaced the already hacked up unit unless it fails two more times. I wish they had categories for customer service and quality in this review form. They would both be 0 stars. I am seeking other customer of this product to form a class to take action against Electrolux.

My very expensive ($1,400) Electrolux dishwasher model EWDW6505 just cost another $311 to fix. This is after replacing the water pump approximately a year ago. It was just over four years old and used only 2-3 times a month. Forget about customer service where they will only tell you that you have to contact one of their service agents in your area. It cost me $75 (trip charge) for a serviceman to come over and make a phone call to Electrolux tech support for the error code which resulted in a needed repair kit. Two weeks later after the repair kit installed, I was charged $118 for the kit, $100 for a second trip charge and $18 for labor. It is not true you get what you pay for in this case. I will never buy another Electrolux appliance.
