Dishwasher Troubleshooting

Depending on the model, your washing machine is equipped with various automatic safety functions. This enables faults to be detected in good time and the safety system can then react appropriately. These faults are frequently so minor that they can be resolved within a few minutes. 

The washing machine will not start, no screen are off  
• the mains plug is inserted into the socket and Choose the desired programmme to start the machine. 
• the wall socket is functioning correctly (use a table lamp or similar appliance to test it). 

The washing machine will not start, and the screen flashes 
• the door is properly closed (child safety); 
• the “Start/Pause” button has been pressed; 
• Check If the water tap Is closed. Open the water tap and press the “Start/Pause” button. 

The appliance stops during the programme (varies depending on model) 
• the ”Rinse Hold” indicator lamp lights up; terminate this option by pressing the “Start/Pause” button or by choosing and starting the “Drain” programme; 
• the screen is flashing. Press the ‘Start/Pause” button. 
• the door has been opened and the screen is flashing. Close the door and press the ‘Start/Pause’ button again. 
• Check if there is too much foam inside. machine enters kill-foam routine. The machine will run again automatically after a period. 
• the washing machine’s safety system has been activated. 

Machine vibrates during spin cycle 
• the washing machine is level and standing firmly on all four feet; 
• the transport belts have been removed. Before using the machine, it is imperative that the transport bolts are removed. 

Final spin results are poor. 
• If the laundry is still too wet at the end of the cycle, remove some articles of laundry and repeat the spin cycle. 
• Excessive foam formation may prevent spinning. Use the correct amount of detergent. 
• Check that the spin speed selector has not been set to ”0”.

Range Troubleshooting

Bake Element 
When the bake element is heating properly, it glows red hot. If the element does not glow red, this indicates that the element is not heating. Often, if the heating element has burned out, it will be visibly damaged. Inspect the heating element for holes or blisters. To determine if the bake element has burned out, use a multimeter to test the element for continuity. If the bake element does not have continuity, replace it.

Igniter 
The igniter is the most commonly defective part of a gas oven that won't turn on. The igniter has two main functions. First, the igniter draws electrical current through the oven safety valve to open it. Second, the igniter gets hot enough to glow and ignite the gas in the burner assembly. If the igniter gets weak, it will fail to open the safety valve correctly. If the valve does not open, the oven will not heat. To determine if the igniter is defective, observe the igniter when the oven is on. If the igniter glows for more than 90 seconds without igniting the gas flame, this indicates that the igniter is too weak to open the valve. If the igniter is weak, replace it. If the igniter does not glow at all, use a multimeter to test the igniter for continuity. If the igniter does not have continuity, replace it.

Bake or Broil Spark Electrode 
For bake & broil burner ignition an oven burner spark electrode is used to ignite the gas. The electrode is a device that sits right next to the burner. It functions like a spark plug. As power is applied to it a spark jumps from the spark electrode tip to the electrode shield, igniting the gas. If the electrode is broken or worn out the spark may not occur. Visually inspect the electrode assembly for cracks in the porcelain housing or damage to the electrode tip itself. Be aware that a proper ground and the correct polarity of the incoming voltage to the range are necessary for the electrode control to sense the presence of a flame once the burner is ignited. If the burner goes off after ignition check for proper ground and the correct polarity at the wall outlet.

Broil Element 
When the broil element is heating properly, it glows red hot. If the element does not glow red, this indicates that the element is not heating. Often, if the broil element has burned out, it will be visibly damaged. Inspect the broil element for holes or blisters. To determine if the broil element has burned out, use a multimeter to test the element for continuity. If the broil element does not have continuity, replace it.

Incoming Power Problem 
Electric ovens require 240 volts of alternating current. Gas ovens require 120 volts. If an oven won't turn on there could be an incoming power problem. To determine if the electrical outlet is providing sufficient voltage, use a multimeter to test the incoming power at the wall socket.

Thermal Fuse 
The thermal fuse trips if the oven overheats. If the thermal fuse has blown, the oven will not turn on. However, this is not a common occurrence. To determine if the thermal fuse is at fault, use a multimeter to test the fuse for continuity. If the thermal fuse does not have continuity, replace it. The thermal fuse cannot be reset—if the fuse has blown, you must replace it.

Loose or Burnt Wire Connection 
One of the wires that supply power to the oven element or igniter might be burnt out. These wires commonly burn out near the heat source. To determine if a wire has burned out, inspect the wires leading to the element or igniter. If a wire is burned out, it will often be visibly burnt.

Oven Control Board 
The oven control board has relays that send voltage to the bake and broil circuits according to the user settings and sensor input. If the control board is defective, it may not send voltage to the heating components. However, this is rarely the case. Before replacing the control board, first test all of the heating components. If you determine that all of the heating components are working properly, replace the oven control board. Since it’s not easy to test the oven control board, you will have to replace the control board if you suspect it is defective.

Relay Board 
Some ovens are equipped with a relay board. The relay board has several relays which control the voltage to the heating element. If one or more of the relays on the relay board fails, the oven won’t heat. However, this rarely occurs. Before replacing the relay board, first, check all of the heating components in the oven. If none of the heating components are defective, the relay board might be at fault. If the relay board is defective, replace it. 


Refrigerator Troubleshooting

Refrigerator can’t start  
Is the power cord connecting well? 
Is the power voltage too low? 
Is the sensor irrational setting? 
Is the ambient temperature too low? 
Is the circuit on power? 
Is there some default in compressor 
Is the refrigeration system blocked by ice or dirty, please stop the unit and restart after 10 minutes to see if the compressor can start. 

Weak cooling effects  
Is there any heat source around the refrigerator? 
Is there enough space around the refrigerator for rejection of heat? 
Is the setting of the temperature appropriate? 
Is there too much food or overheating food in it? 
Does there open the door frequently? 
Is the door completely closed? 
Does the gasket destroyed or distort? 
Does the gas leak? 

The unit can not stop running  
Is there any heat source around the refrigerator? 
Is there enough space around the refrigerator for rejection of heat? 
Is the setting of the temperature appropriate? 
Is there too much food or overheating food in it? 
Does there open the door frequently? 
Is the door completely closed? 
Does the gasket destroyed or distort? 
Is the thermostat good operation? 
Does the gas leak? 

Ice up in the freezing chamber  
Is the setting of the temperature appropriate? 
Is there multi-moisture food and too close to the back wall of the refrigerator? 
Is the ambient temperature too low? 
Is the electric parts on good condition, specially the thermostat which will cause the unit non-stopping. 

Abnormal noise  
Is the refrigerator stably placed? 
Does the refrigerator bump other objects? 
Whether the internal accessory of the refrigerator is in the right place. 
Whether the water plate of compressor is fall from the unit. 
Does the tube of the refrigeration system bump each other? 
The noise sound likes Water flow inside the refrigerator ,in fact ,it is normal, which is caused both when refrigerator start and shut-down; in addition, frost-dissolving causes this sound, too, which is a normal phenomenon. 
There will be a cracking sound in the cabinet ,when the cabinet or cabinet accessory contracting or expanding, this sound will be made, which is normal. 
The motor operation sound in the compressor is appears to be louder at night or begin starting. which is a normal phenomenon; also the uneven placing would lead to too much running noise. 

There is a peculiar smell in the units  
Is the food with special smell sealed tight? 
Does it have long time storing food or degenerated food? 
Whether the internal cabinet needs cleaning. 

The forefront or the middle cabinet heats  
As fridge Anti-condensation tube is placed here and caused the above phenomenon, which is normal. 

Refrigerator’s two sides or the back heat  
As condensation tube is placed here and caused the above phenomenon, which is normal. 

The cabinet surface condensation  
Air humidity is too large.

Television Troubleshooting

Hisense Smart TV won’t turn on
If your Hisense Smart TV won’t turn on, the first thing is to check whether it has a power problem. The power supply may be faulty, and you need to fix it.
To do this, try plugging it into a different AC outlet.
You can fix this issue in different ways. Some of these methods include:
Unplug the TV from the power source or wall plug.
Wait for about 60 seconds.
After 60 seconds, plug it back in.
Unplugging and then plugging back the hardware will reset it. But if it does not solve the problem, consider the following fix.
Remove batteries from the remote control.
Hold down the power button for 15 seconds.
Reinsert the batteries in the remote control.
Use the remote control to turn on the TV.
If the above solves the problem, but it reoccurs a day or a week later, you will need to factory reset your Hisense Smart TV. Here is how:
Go to Settings.
Select System.
Choose Advanced System Settings.
Select Factory Reset.
The procedure above will reset all the settings on your TV and fix many other issues with it.

Hisense Smart TV screen keeps flickering
Flickering is one of the many screen problems you will encounter with the Hisense TV. You can try to fix it by turning the device OFF and ON.
But sometimes that may not happen, especially if an attached component on the device is at fault.
Also, unsecured cables and other features on your TV could be causing the issue. In other cases, it can occur as a result of incorrect TV settings, signal interferences, and electronic interference.
The following Hisense Smart TV troubleshooting steps can help you to identify the problem and fix it.
Check whether you have an interfering source nearby. Possible sources are appliances, electric tools, mobile phones, or even the fan. Try to move them away from the TV and see whether it helps correct the issue.
Insert the TV’s power plug into a different outlet to prevent interference.
Another troubleshooting step you can take is to turn off the Energy Saving feature of the TV. Here is how:
Using your remote control, go to Settings.
Select Picture.
Under Picture Mode, you will see the TV set to Energy Saving.
Select Picture Mode.
A list of seven options will display.
From this point, you can play around with any of those seven options to find one that will fix the flickering. Alternatively, perform a hard reset on your TV and see whether it offers a solution.
Also, some flickering problems occur because of a failed mainboard. You can fix it under warranty or contact a professional to do it for you. But if you have the know-how, consider replacing it.

Troubleshooting the brightness problem
Depending on the content you are watching, you may want to adjust your TV’s picture settings manually. On specific models, do the following:
Press the Settings button on your remote control.
A side menu will open up.
Press the right directional key to bring up the full menu options.
Select Picture Mode.

In Picture Mode, you need to adjust various settings to determine the right brightness level and fix the problem. But in general, you can optimize picture settings by ensuring you have the following values:
Picture Mode – Theatre Night
Backlight – 52
Brightness – 51
Colour – 49
Colour Space – Auto
Contrast – 47
Colour Temperature – Low
Gamma – 2
HDMI 2.0 format – Enhanced
HDMI Dynamic Range – Auto (not adjustable)
Local Dimming – High
Sharpness – 0
Tint – 0
Also, ensure that you set all other settings not listed above to OFF or Zero. For individual RGB color sub controls, let them have their default settings. Another thing to note is that most of these devices have preset brightness and color settings.
You can tweak the settings to how you want an image to appear on the screen. When you switch between presets, this can help you to control the brightness of your TV depending on the content you are watching.
If the above does not work, reset your TV to factory settings.

Hisense Smart TV screen went black
When your Hisense Smart TV goes black, you will not see any visible picture or background. But you will hear what is playing when you change the channel.
Here is how you can troubleshoot the problem.
Unplug the TV’s power cord.
Press and hold the power button for 20 seconds.
Let the TV remain unplugged for about two minutes.
Plug back the power cord.
Turn on the TV and try again.
Understand that the above procedure is necessary to confirm whether you can clear the problem with a simple reset. If that does not work, you are facing an internal issue with the hardware.
Your mainboard, power board, or LEDs could be defective. In that case, contact a professional or the Hisense customer support team to help you fix it.

Hisense Smart TV shows pictures with no sound
If you are getting this issue, you can fix it in two ways:
Check the volume settings to ensure it is not zero.
Check if you have set ON the Mute mode.
Once you troubleshoot the cause, fix it accordingly. If it does not work, reset your TV by doing a power cycle.
The TV turns on and then off immediately
Sometimes the Hisense Smart TV turns on but doesn’t show pictures and then it turns off immediately. Such an issue can have different causes and fixes. You can do the following to try and fix it:
Take the batteries out of the remote control or hide them. A damaged remote control could be pressing keys without your knowledge. Once done, check whether it offers a solution.
Try doing a hard reset by unplugging the device from the main supply. Wait for about 15 minutes then plug it back in. Once done, power on your TV and see whether it fixes the problem.
If the above does not work, the power supply could be the culprit. That can happen if there is an interim connection.
Check whether this is true and fix it. Also, check for loose plugs and try a different power cable or wall outlet.

Backlight not working
When the backlight is not working on your device, you will not see any image after powering it on. But you will hear sound when changing a channel. The problem is in your LED strips or the board that controls the LED strips.
Since it is a hardware issue, you will have to replace them from the back of your TV. You can have this replaced or fixed under warranty. If you do not have a warranty, contact a professional to help you with the repairs.

I put a ear on the panel, the voice level sounds less than a mosquito. it is really incredible. I put a thermometer in the fridge and freezer, as default setup, 4C in the fridge, -19 in the freezer. I do like it.

You never really think that about a dishwasher but this one is. It’s sleek and would go with any decor. The cleaning power is awesome and QUIET compared to others. It also has a lot of different ways to wash, from heavy to light. I also really like the electronic buttons too. It also opens itself when it’s done so whatever water is left will dry out. I didn’t think I’d ever be excited about a dishwasher but here we are. I received this dishwasher in exchange for reviewing the appliance. If I was going to buy one, this would be it.

Quality seems good and stainless finish is nice and looks upscale, modern, and sleek. Interior stainless tub is an added bonus. The racks function fine allowing for plenty of storage and keep utensils and plates/bowls separated well. Tall tub has plenty of room on top or bottom rack. The unit is quiet with different wash cycles including a 20 min quick cycle and sanitize option. The drying function works well and my dishes come out clean without any residue.

I absolutely love my Hisense Dishwasher! I was in the market for one since my old one died. This opportunity came at the right time. I love that the dishwasher is energy star certified, electric, LED Touch, self cleaning with 5 wash cycles. Oh and theres a setting to automatically open the door when the cycle is complete plus you have the option to sanitize as well. I am extremely happy with my dishwasher and I love the huge space inside. I am a mom of three boys and you can only guess how many dishes we go through daily and weekly. The ease of placing dishes in the dishwasher and knowing that they will be ready in a short amount of time works wonders for my busy life. The kids had no problems learning how to quickly program their wash cycle on their dish duty day. Nothing has touched our TV and it hasn't been moved since. Apparently it's not covered under manufacturer's warranty. So basically I'm screwed on the money I spent because they refuse to repair or replace this brand new TV. I'm not very happy about the situation and will never buy from them again. Been looking for the best reviews since we can't shop IRL right now... and I was going to buy a very expensive oven (to avoid problems) until we found this one (didnt but on this site) A bit noisy ventilation and buffering on corners isnt perfect, but for the rest, just wow. Looks like a quality glasstop too. Sturdy door. Quite easy to use and childproof (was a concern for me, most of these dont even have a lock for oven). As with any stainless, marks quite easily.. but looks like better quality stainless than my other appliances (which were quite expensive..)

He listened to what I told him was the problem. He told me he would have to send it to level 2 and it would take 24 to 48 hours for them to send me a fix. Later that night I got an email from Hisense with detailed instructions that even I could follow. It worked and the TV was rebooted and is working great again. Hisense responded quickly with instructions that any ordinary person could easily follow. Great TV and great customer service.

We purchased this oven a few months ago, and it took 4 deliveries to receive one that wasn’t damaged. FOUR. (It also took 3 deliveries of a fridge from Hisense as well, but that is for another review). We don’t know what is with this brand, but they do not package their items well and they arrive in a perfectly undamaged box, but inside have dents, large scrapes or long scratches. Save yourself time of repeated disappointing deliveries and buy another brand.

The top rack has a designed spot for stemmed wine glasses! The silverware containers are able to be separated so make more room! The washer has 5 programs auto, intense, normal, quick, and rinse. With extras! It has sanitation mode, it can eliminate 99.999% of bacteria! "I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest opinion" I must say I truly love this dishwasher I was a little worried after reading some reviews but I have had nothing but positive things out of this dishwasher it’s very quiet and washes my dishes great. I like that it has a speed wash so I can wash a small load fast. I love that the door pops open when done so it allows for extra drying of dishes. The stainless steel looks very sleek and modern it is a great dishwasher for the price I highly recommend this product. Also was very easy to install as we installed it ourselves.

I would like to give a shout-out to Mathew, the Hisense Customer Support agent assigned to my bizarre case. The new 2021 Android TV worked fine -- except for the fact that I could not install a critical app. The latest software Hisense promptly sent me didn't fix the problem. We were both stumped, until Andrew suggested that one of my old (forgotten) accounts might be an obstacle. He was right! I would never have figured this out on my own.
