I, like many of the already listed complaints, purchased a KitchenAid Microwave (Model KHMS155LSS-4) as part of a complete appliance purchase in 2006. I had the same issue last year that others have listed about the unit randomly turning itself on. After contacting Customer Service, they escalated my issue and immediately had it handled by the Safety Department that ordered a new control panel and sent out A & E to repair. The unit seemed to be working fine until this past week when it stopped heating food. Everything seems to run as normal but it no longer heats anything. I contacted Customer Service today and nobody seems to care about the long repair history and lack of quality product they are producing. Im concerned that the current issue is somehow related to the prior issue, but they will not acknowledge that to be the case. It has to be bad on a microwave that runs without anything in it for long periods of time, even though Customer Service says their biggest concern when it runs without anything in it is damage to the inside cook chamber. If I decide to repair this microwave again, it will be the third time this unit has been repaired since I purchased in 2006. I am disappointed with the constant problems I have had with this microwave.

In Nov. 2017 we installed KitchenAid double ovens, model KODE500EBS02. The ovens look very nice, but they are not for bakers. They take 10 to 15 minutes to preheat, they do not brown bake goods on the bottom, and they take longer to bake an item. The baked item is never done by the suggested time on a recipe. The ovens also bake hotter in the back. These were very expensive, so I am stuck with them, however, I would not recommend them to anyone else.

After 4, (four) lengthy phone conversations with the contact number provided by KitchenAid, in every case, I was told that even though their product was “inferior”, (can you believe that)?; their own rep acknowledged that their product was substandard, they, KitchenAid, still refused to remedy their own and admitted manufacture’s defects. While they admitted their failures regarding their failure to remedy excessive rusting at the ice dispenser, clearly (in daylight) two distinct hues on the freezer vs., refrigerator door and in spite of multiple attempts to level their product, both doors still remain out of alignment. I am so tired of fighting this company, Whirlpool on down. Regrettably my next apartment kitchen purchase of 347 units will NOT ever consider any product under this label.

I hate my noisy oven. Why is there no option to turn off that very very very annoying fan? I hate that whining sound so much, I just stopped baking altogether. Cant wait to replace my new KitchenAid range with a quieter brand. Its driving me crazy. Today I have to use it. It is NOT a pleasure.

The machine is about 15 years old, with three shelves. It was one of the more expensive dishwashers on the market when purchased. At about about 4 years, due to abusive use (seriously soiled and grease laden everything) the machine progressively clogged. Over a weekend I tore it apart and cleaned it. It has performed admirably in cleaning since then due to reasonably use. Just recently a door spring has broken, meaning the door must be lowered manually with care until I have an opportunity to repair it. When the machine finally wears out, I will buy a KitchenAid replacement as close as is available to this machine.

We purchased a top-of-the-line Kitchenaid dishwasher 2 years ago. In the first year, we had 4 service calls for various problems. The last problem was for poor draining and residual soap in the bottom of the unit. Things were replaced and the door was taken apart, then reassembled. The problem persisted. I went online and did my own research and found the solution. Each repair person was sure to remind me to keep the rinse agent full. Turns out that when you have a water softener, the rinse agent is unnecessary. Now the entire door is showing rashes of rust.We called today and were questioned how the door was being cleaned. It is cleaned with a weak soap solution and immediately dried with a very soft microfiber cloth. Okay, so its not a maintenance issue. It is a very low grade of stainless steel. Magnets stick in the door readily, but not on the stainless handle, which is obviously a higher quality of stainless. After speaking to a manager, we are being sent a cleaning solution and a polishing solution. Sadly, had we researched before paying so much, we would have been informed that this is a chronic problem with Kitchenaid and they refuse to acknowledge the problem, nor will they offer any satisfactory solution. This dishwasher was bought to replace a 27-year-old Kenmore unit that just wasnt getting the dishes as clean as it used to. When it was taken to the junk yard, it looked like it did the day it was bought. The stainless parts were flawless. Dont make the same mistake we did. Take a magnet shopping with you and avoid Kitchenaid.

We bought the dishwasher about 2 months ago, I have had Sears service out to check it out and the tech basically said it was all my fault. The dishwasher doesnt clean, it doesnt dry, you cant interrupt the cycle (add a dish) without starting over. I have to make sure the dishes are spotless before putting them in the washer. Many times the detergent door wont open and when it does the packet just sits in the holder and never gets into the washing area. I feel that I have wasted close to $850.00 which is something I can not afford. I would never buy anything they manufactured again.

So disappointed in my 6 yo KitchenAid French door refrigerator model # KFIS29PBMS00. Ice accumulates in the back which impacts the refrigerator’s ability to stay cold. It’s 53 degrees now!! We have had it repaired at least once a year for every year we have owned it. We always renewed our extended warranty plan because it was cheaper than paying out of pocket for the repairs. Our factory certified repairman told us it was a defect in manufacturing! Well we are done with this refrigerator!

We purchased a KitchenAid dishwasher on 10/6/13; it was installed 10/9. Within 3 months the blue dirty indicator light no longer worked. And within the last month (after ~5 months of use), the green clean light no longer resets automatically like it is supposed to when the door is opened after removing clean dishes. All kinds of bells and whistles that are really cool but they failed so quickly? And lights arent covered by the warranty?!?! Really!?!?

Last year I remodeled my kitchen & all new KitchenAid appliances were installed - to the tune of over $16,000. The 36 single wall oven alone cost over $3000. After I used the clean function (for the first time) - the oven wouldnt heat. They sent out a repairman who fixed it. A few months later, I used the clean function again (for the 2nd time) - same thing happened. And now, 1 month after the warranty expired, its happened again. Same problem all three times & yet after a long call to them today, KitchenAid refused to do anything! In a year, I probably used that oven less than a dozen times. Needless to say, I wont be recommending them to anyone. And btw, the repair service they sent obviously didnt know what they were doing, because as I now know, the problem was never solved.

I purchased a KitchenAid dishwasher (Model: KUD301XBL0) in 25 Oct 10. This is an absolute lemon! This is the third repair for this piece of junk. Now, they are going to put in a new motor. I purchased a four-year extended warranty so does the machine qualify for a five-year warranty now? I had purchased a Samsung for my sons home in July 2010. It works perfectly, no problems, plus a great design! I should never have listened to the sales person at Lowes who said that I couldnt go wrong with KitchenAid! How far off base he was! I am now stuck with a dishwasher that I hate and from my experience, it will break down again and again!

I have a kitchenaid side-by-side refrigerator with an ice maker and water dispenser on the door. This was not a cheap appliance at $2500.00. The ice maker has only worked on and off for a month out of the 11 months I have had this appliance. After four visits for repair and two door replacements at a cost of $1700.00 a door x 2 $3400.00 for door replacement alone not including a water valve replacement and labor for four trips, my ice maker still does not work. I asked a supervisor for a refund for my defective product. Was told they had to go through repair process. It would have been more cost effective to refund my money!! Still no resolution! No one wants to help! Totally frustrated, WILL NEVER BUY THIS BRAND AGAIN!!!!

I have had this fridge for three years. We have been seeing issues with every feature on it. The lights won’t come on, the ice maker is malfunctioning, it won’t dispense water or ice. The fridge will turn off completely for hours and sometime days. My only saving grace is to unplug the fridge, wait ten minutes and plug it in. When I do this, the fridge goes back to normal for about a week.I reached out to Kitchenaid and they sent a tech to my house. The technician told me that there is a common error with the circuitry stemming from the deli drawer. If you read all the negative reviews you will see I am not the only one experiencing the issue. The technician did all his diagnostics and found nothing. He called the tech hotline for Kitchenaid and they told him this is a common issue with this model. The deli circuit and wiring needs to be replaced. They have done it to hundreds of this model. (READ ALL THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS.) The technician told me that even though there are many models that have gone through this, it is not covered under warranty. The parts start at $600 not including labour. When I called Kitchenaid back and told them of the issues and how this is a common issue, they did not deny this. They did say that yes there are a lot of negative reviews on here about this problem, as there are a lot of negative reviews about any product on the internet. They advised that even though it could be a manufacturer defect, the warranty is one year on this and they will do nothing for me. Marie from the Whirlpool Hotline was very adamant that regardless how many people are experiencing this issue, the warranty is one year. Kitchenaid will not repair the fridge, and I am on the hook for what should be considered a recall due to manufacturer defect.I have since reported the issue to the consumer protection act, and advised them that Kitchenaid is aware of the defect, even acknowledges it, but won’t repair or replace. I am not asking for cash back for the food that was spoiled, nor am I asking for a new fridge. I just want the defect repaired, but that is too much to ask outside of one year.

Model # KUDL021RBS4 - As two retired old folks, we use a lot of paper plates and have used our expensive all stainless dishwasher no more than three times a month. It was purchased from Lowes 2007. A month ago, the LEDs on the control panel started flashing. Wife called KA and they connected us to a tech. No problem, he says, change the circuit board. No problem, I say. I build computer up from parts. Ill change out the part from Whirlpool. The washer worked once and the lights started flashing again. Washer wont run. The internet chat line person knew nothing about that. He sent me a copy of what was included with the owners manual that doesnt reflect the actual model. Question is, do I waste another $250 with further service calls and parts or do I buy a disposable one for only $247 and give up on those pretty premium expensive disposable appliances? Samsung did me wrong, now Kitchen Dis-Aid. Why pay more? Whats the point?

I own a KitchenAid refrigerator, range, over the range microwave and dishwasher. Overall I am not dissatisfied with these machines. They have electronic controls and I have become accustom to phantom beeps from these machines. What I hate is this microwave. I put something in there to warm it up. Once the cycle is over this microwave sounds an annoying tone that never stops until the door is opened. You turn off the tone though the programming but the change is only good until my homes power cycles off and on. Thank you power company. Even the seat belt alarm in my car shuts up after a brief time. I can fall asleep after I put a bag of popcorn in this microwave and it sounds off all night! Please!

Whirlpool owns KitchenAid. BUYER BEWARE!! The dishwasher does a good job but God help you if you ever need to use the warranty. Mine has a door leak. The repairman came out 5 times and replaced the tub twice, the door liner, the door, the hinges and the latching mechanism. There is still a 50/50 chance it will leak depending on how hard you slam the door and I do mean SLAM. They have taken up almost 15 hours of my time. The warranty says they will repair or replace the washer. THEY WILL NOT. You are dealing with dishonest people with no integrity. They are like an insurance company and they will do whatever they can to wear you down and not honor their obligations. Do yourself a favor. When looking at products, pass up the KitchenAid items.

We purchased a Kitchenaid model KUDS301XBL4 dishwasher about 2 years ago. It appears that the plastic inside the tub is deteriorating and the pegs that hold the rollers for the top rack have broken. I have found this is a common complaint among Kitchenaid dishwasher owners. The parts cost for the repair is about $28 per side plus shipping costs. I did send an e-mail to Kitchenaid explaining the problem and asking them what their solution is regarding the defective parts. No reply at this time. I dont expect them to acknowledge defects or offer a solution based on other complaints I have read . So, I took to finding a solution myself.I examined the mechanism and figured out how it works and had an idea that if I could find the right nylon and stainless steel parts at my hardware store, I could re-install the rollers on a different spot on the sides of the rack. I found all the parts for the four rollers for a total of $7.89 and proceeded with installing them. I had to use a Dremel tool to cut the broken roller pegs off and sand a small plastic ridge flat. I drilled holes and assembled my parts and attached them successfully to each side of the rack (see picture). For each roller, I used a stainless steel screw, washer and lock nut along with a nylon finish washer and a nylon bushing. It works great! It is too bad that Kitchenaid wont stand behind their product, as evident in other, similar complaints. I am not an engineer, but I engineered a solution in one-hour that will last longer than the rest of the original plastic parts in the tub.

It takes longer to run a cycle and has lower pressure than my previous Inglis model. Items on the top shelf sometimes are not thoroughly cleaned. Saniclean and pro scrub need to be activated to get a thorough cleaning. Normal wash is not adequate. Deep tub, and it has 3 racks, so lots of room to place items. Wish the third rack had an impeller to clean items in it. Stainless steel front with controls on the top of the door hidden. Very nice packaging. Take extended warranty, run the cleaner through once every couple of months to get rid of the scum build up. Clean the internal filter every couple of months also. The Steam venting port damages your wooden cabinets next to the dishwasher. I had to put a plastic liner on the inside of the cabinet (facing the dishwasher) to stop the moisture from damaging the cabinet.

Purchased a KitchenAid dishwasher July, 2011 from ABT model# KUDS30IXBL (manufactured 2010). Beginning January, 2015 it would occasionally drain and shut down, mid wash cycle. I thought I had done something wrong. But it continued and finally did it every time it was used. The dishwasher is only used twice a week. On 4/18/2015 ABT serviced replacing the Electronic Control Panel (under warranty). Service call labor cost $164.00. On 4/8/16 while the dishwasher was in use, loud sounds like fireworks (identified as electrical arcing) came from the dishwasher and clouds of black smoke came from the top of the door, with strong burning plastic choking fumes. We turned the circuit breaker off, to prevent any further risk of damage to the kitchen or house.Called ABT for service and found out since the Electrical Control Panel had already been replaced once there would be a charge of $186.09 for a replacement of the Panel plus $164.00 for the service call/labor cost, plus charges for any other parts needed. We then called a local service company, that we know and trust. Their service call charge is $60.00 and they took the front door off and there was the burnt control panel and the wire harness. The service tech was astonished at the damage. His quote of $450.00 which included replacement of the wire harness and electronic control panel (which we were told the only electronic control panels available were refurbished).Im writing this so others can be aware of the fire hazard this dishwasher is. Very scary! If you have this model you may be better off getting rid of it. Fortunately, we never run our appliance while we are out of the house or while we are sleeping, but there may oQ2thers that do. I never had an appliance do this before and I have had a 4 houses over 47 years.

Our microwave was bought in 2007 and it is terrible. The door is cracked where they put the screw in too tight. The biggest concern is that it turns on by itself. We have already had it repaired once because it would not heat correctly, of course, not under warranty! Now, like many others, we get an F2 locked message and have to unplug it or the microwave runs by itself. What a terrible product. We bought all our KitchenAid products--microwave, oven, refrigerator and dishwasher--at Lowes and they have only lasted five years. Even the refrigerator was cheaply made!

I echo what others have posted about Kitchenaids KFIS29 french door refrigerator - a total disappointment, buyers remorse, and Whirlpool must spend a lot of time and money making sure the people who answer the phone at their Customer experience Center are extremely polite while offering no solutions. From date of installation, Aug. 2013, the fridge never kept beverages and food in the upper unit cold, regardless of temp setting, the freezer simply could not keep items frozen, and the unit is loud. I chalked this off to the ill effects of being energy efficient. In the summer of 2014 I placed my first service call because the ice maker stopped making ice (never made much to begin with), the already high noise levels had increased, and the upper unit would not get below 43 degrees. When the repairman arrived, there was nothing I could tell him about the unit that he was not already very aware of. I was told I needed the kit and naturally the kit had to be ordered and I was told I had to call a special number at Whirlpool and order the kit. What an ordeal that was. In the mean time, the fridge started making a very loud sound like an impact hammer. Repairman can back out and found a huge amount of ice build up on the evaporator. The fan blades were hitting the ice causing the noise. Ice removed, problem solved, at least for a while. A few days later the the freezer was frosting up so another call to the repairman. The freezer door gasket was faulty and had to be corrected. Finally, the parts needed to fix the ice maker situation arrived. The kit was to correct the issue with low ice production, frost build up between ice maker and rear of the fridge, and to correct the problem with water dripping down and onto the evaporator coils and freezing. The control panel and a couple of other parts were also replaced. All good? Not exactly. The fridge still was not cooling, water was leaking from ice bin, and the noise level was still very high. Trying to get this thing fixed within warranty period, I call for service once again. The repairman and Whirlpool tech center ran tests and determined I needed a new evaporator and several other parts related to the cooling system. I called the Customer experience Center and requested a new unit. I was politely told that I had not had enough problems to warrant a replacement and that as long as the unit was + or - 5 degrees of the recommended temp settings (37 upper / 0 freezer) it was considered acceptable. Do not know about you but 43 or higher degree milk is not good and ice cream is suppose to melt after you take it out of the freezer. I was told by a Supervisor that since I had experienced some problems with the unit they would extend my factory warranty for six months. I was told if the parts on order did not correct the issues we could talk about a replacement then. OK, all the parts came in and were installed. Things appeared to be good for about two months except for the fact that around 37 degrees is as cold as the upper unit appears to be able to do, 34 would be my preference. In mid Oct 2014 I noticed low ice production, the noise level increasing, water dripping from the ice bin again, and there is frost building up again between the ice maker and back of the fridge again. I called the Customer experience Center to discuss replacement. I was told that since it had been more than 30 days since the repairs I would have to have a repairmen come out and and get on a call with tech support and diagnose the problem and oh, by the way, the unit is no longer under factory warranty. I advised that I had been told and assured that my factory warranty had been extended for 6 months. I was basically told that I was not told that and it would be impossible for that to occur. When I provided the name and date that I was told the warranty was extended I was told there was no one there by that name. It should be noted that only two people live in the house and thus it is not like the fridge is in a constant state of opening and closing and so on. To sum up, I have had to take off work 7 times for the fridge to be looked at and actual repairs to be made. I have absolutely no confidence that any further repairs will produce long lasting results. Looking at the dates of comments about the KFIS29, it appears no changes have been made to the fridge since people are reporting the same problems on units recently purchased as people who purchased them a year or more ago have experienced. If you are looking for a french door fridge you might want to not have this one on your short list.

We bought a brand new KitchenAid refrigerator in April 2006 ($4300) and the main control board went out and they do not make the replacement part. We have been without a refrigerator for 3 weeks and still have no idea when we will have it fixed. The repair company says they have to find a circuit board to have it overhauled. It is unbelievable that Kitchenaid stopped making a major part that control the entire refrigerator.

KitchenAid double gas range (model KGRS505XSS01) burner failed on arrival; knob failed after six months, not covered by warranty. (We tried to force the knob and bent the pin.) That cost $185. Another knob failed one month after warranty ran out. Estimate for same repair is $230. Stainless steel surface is stained, scratched, and discolored. I had trouble on the phone with Sears service company, A&E Services. I was on hold for an extended time as they were having technical difficulty, and eventually I got cut off. Parts available from Sears and from Whirlpool for $59 vs. $80 quoted by A&E Services.

I had this KitchenAid stovetop for 13 years KDRP407HSS4. Suddenly, without warning the broiler went on. I turned off the electricity at the fuse box. I turned it back on and this time the clean cycle went on while the knob was in the reset position. It created a fire. I was there to put it out. This is scary when a stove can turn itself on without a person doing it. If anyone else had this issue, please reply. I see some people had explosions. If you have a KitchenAid I would make sure it does not start on its own.

It is exactly only 2 wks. since we purchased a KitchenAid French door fridge. Last night clicking sounds were emitting from the fridge to which we could not find the source. This morning to our shock and horror all of the frozen food were thawing out, the refrigerator section did not feel as cold as it should be as well. Knowing we are under warranty we called KitchenAid to try and get service. However, their customer service is also horrible. Was put on hold listening to idiotic music for over 15 minutes with no one coming to answer the call. That is totally unacceptable. In the meantime, we read the internet information saying that clicking noises signify a faulty compressor. This is really astounding considering that the fridge is just a couple of weeks in our possession. We have never had any major appliance fail badly like this and so quickly too. To conclude, we are returning to that major big box store where we purchased this defective appliance from and will have it returned. And we will NOT purchase another KitchenAid product ever again, not even to replace this damaged, useless fridge! Also we do not recommend anyone to waste good money and precious time on considering purchasing any KitchenAid product. Ironically we were told by the delivery person that KitchenAid is a durable, high end brand. It definitely isnt!!

I have had KitchenAid dishwasher for a few years. I have not been, and am not happy with this product. We have had trouble with it almost constantly. The control panel has been replaced more than once, we have had to replace several parts on it, and the general service I have had from it is not satisfactory. Now the heating element is not working. We paid a lot for this appliance thinking we would get excellent service because of the KitchenAid reputation. This unit has been pulled out and apart and repaired more than I think is acceptable. When this unit gets replaced, I am thinking I will be going to another brand. It is aggravating to open this unit and find it has not drained, the dishes are not dry, or some other problem has become obvious. Perhaps a lot of people like this dishwasher, but I for one do not.

After the first 2 years, I had to purchase the silverware caddy because the PLASTIC in the bottom of the silverware caddy had pieces broken and silverware was falling through. Then about a year later, PLASTIC brackets on the top rack broke. Replaced those. Now, the PLASTIC door is broken where the screw should be, and the touch panel is not working. JUNK! Last summer, my KitchenAid Refrigerator (not a year old) stopped working. After two months of repairmen being sent by KitchenAid (A and E Services) and numerous ordering of wrong parts, the refrigerator was repaired (or so I thought). Now this week, the control board does not work. A repairman came, and after two hours, the refrigerator still is not fixed. The required parts are supposed to come and be installed next Saturday. I paid over $2,500.00 for my KitchenAid refrigerator/freezer, and I have been totally dissatisfied with this appliance. I will never buy a KitchenAid product again. I have tried to be patient, but a week after an oven fire, that had it happened when we were gone, would have started a kitchen/house fire. As it is I had to call the fire department because I could not turn off the oven. A malfunction allowed the igniter to heat and by the time I woke up (4 am), the house was filled with acrid smoke smell. I went out and thought I had finally canceled the igniter (the cancel button seemed to turn things off after several attempts). Then my husband woke up and wondered what was going on and why, after 1/2 hour the smell was still very strong. Come to find out when I went back in that the igniter was still on and the cover plate over the heating element was bright red with flames shooting out of the sides (of the plate). It was self-contained in the oven, but so hot that when the fire fighters came, they couldnt touch it. They had to turn off the gas and unplug the cord.As I said, its been a week and there has been no call back after the initial phone call to send out a technician (The technician was great and found where there was a short on the board). What is most sobering to me is that my husband is disabled. Had the oven fire started on a day when I was gone volunteering, he could have been trapped by a house fire. I explained this and still no response. I would highly recommend not buying anything from KitchenAid/Whirlpool until they have a better service record.

We bought a new Kitchenaid refrigerator French door bottom freezer model # KFIS29BBWH03. The Fan noise is horrible. Sounds like an Ambulance coming down the road. Very unacceptable. We also have ice on the back of the unit inside the refrigerator part which the latest service man, whom we have had four come, said it was a problem with the indoor ice. It also causes the shelves to be wet all the time. The service man has ordered a new computer board for that issue but says the fan noise is normal even though we can hear it throughout the house. Just want to throw this refrigerator in the trash but it was very expensive and if they could fix the noise problem I would be happy. But the noise is driving me up the wall. During a dinner party the week before Christmas, the oven door exploded in my 2 month old, second use of Superba model #KEB-277, which original cost is nearly $2,500. It took me being a proactive consumer, spending about 1/2 hour a day for 6 weeks for the final repair to take place. The first warranty repair company just did not show up for an appointment. Finally, it took to making two appointments with different companies just to make sure someone showed up to look at the problem. Second company was wonderful - however, it still took me being involved with KitchenAid Safety Division”, their customer service and HHGregg (who told me it wasnt their problem since the 30 day warranty had expired! ), to finally get pieces to repair the door.Since neither KitchenAid nor HHGregg saw any need to replace a defective product, I insisted on all 2 new pieces of glass, a new steel shell that had been dented with the explosion, and all new racks. The problem is behind me, but I will never purchase another KitchenAid appliance nor buy any product at HHGregg.

Our Kitchen Aid Model KFIS29PBMS00 is about 16 months old. We purchased a higher end appliance thinking it would last. It is the loudest (grinding noises) refrigerator I have ever had/heard, but we have dealt with that. When the unit recently stopped cooling we found it was under warranty. When the service technician saw which model it was, he said I knew what the problem would be. It needs a new compressor and evaporation unit. Unfortunately, the fastest it can be repaired is 5 days. Having children and no refrigerator is quite a problem when it comes to eating. Everything in the unit is a total loss. And despite being under warranty, there is nothing Kitchen Aid does to help you during this time with no way to cool food. No loaner and they wont just replace this faulty unit. This is really not customer service. Do not buy this model and if you can help it, do not purchase from KitchenAid because if you have a problem, despite a warranty, it will be a loss.

Bought a high end KitchenAid dishwasher at a cost of almost 1600.00. The very first time I used it, it leaked large amounts of water onto my new hardwood floor. It arrived with a dent in the front panel. KitchenAid refuses to replace the dishwasher even though it is within their 1-year warranty period. They want to send a new tub then have the repair technician disassemble this one and rebuild it from the old and new parts. And, because we didnt install it within 30 days of purchase (because our kitchen reno took longer than expected), their cosmetic warranty has expired and they wont replace the door without a charge to me. The dent in the door seems to indicate damage to the unit before I ever received it. The leak of this brand new dishwasher is in no way my fault yet they refuse to replace the unit. If I had known this was their policy, I would have NEVER purchased a KitchenAid. I have a Samsung refrigerator. The delivery people scratched the outside cabinet - Samsung replaced the entire refrigerator with a new one. We purchased a KitchenAid dishwasher (model # KUDS30IXSS4) about 3 1/2 years ago when we remodeled the kitchen. The plastic clips that held the upper rack in place broke 2 different times... This was shortly after the warranty expired so I paid both times for the repair. KitchenAid did finally replace this plastic clip with a metal clip on all of their dishwashers but they called it an upgrade and not a recall so they did not reimburse me for the almost $300.00 I had spent on previously repairing the faulty clips. Shortly after the plastic clips had broken the second time the dishwasher made a funny noise. I shut the washer off and then restarted it... Upon restarting it...it seemed fine... However, shortly after this it stopped cleaning the dishes...This was right in the interim when KitchenAid replaced the plastic clip and went to the metal. What we did not realize is that pieces of the broken plastic went down into the chopper/grinder and broke that section of the dishwasher. When the repair man finally realized what had happened we called KitchenAid. I asked KitchenAid to step up and take responsibility for the faulty design and they declined saying that there was not enough evidence/proof that it was faulty design. Needless to say I will never purchase another KitchenAid/Whirlpool product only because they will not step up and take responsibility for their product. Final note...this new repair will cost another $300.00.

Model KUDS301XBL - This dishwasher was purchased in May 2011 at a total cost of almost $1,000. Since having it installed, it has required service and the motor has been replaced twice - in 2012 and again in 2013. The wheels and rollers have repeatedly broken off. Now, after less than four years, it has failed again and the motor will need to be replaced for the third time. Each time services required, it is a minimum of one week - and typically 2 to 3 weeks - that our family of six is without the use of a dishwasher. In addition to its lack of reliability, this high-end dishwasher has never adequately done a good job of washing dishes. Even the service technician has said, I dont care what the salesperson told you, if you want your dishes to be clean, you will have to pre-wash them. Perhaps we just got a lemon, but the manufacturer has done nothing to correct our situation.

But the company that does the maintenance contract were total jerks. We remodeled our kitchen in 2014 and purchased a KFIS29PBMS03. It immediately started frosting up in the freezer on the left side and ice and water would form below the ice maker and drip into main fridge. After three service visits the dealer replaced the unit. Again the same process happened again with multiple services and updates. Our dealer, Fergurson had another unit shipped out and installed that supposedly had been updated and fixed of these two issues. The third unit is actually worse with the frosting up and the drips and icing is about the same under the ice machine as the two others. Whats disturbing is the last service guy did order a new freezer door and gaskets but stated all these units do this and yours is not bad enough to fix as of now, but they do have another update to the top of fridge. I have ask just to refund my money and come get this jewel of design. The many days of scheduling services and deliveries and exchanges has become extremely time consuming and expensive.

I purchased an expensive refrigerator based on previous experience with KitchenAid. In 2003 I purchased a refrigerator, stove and dishwasher. No calls ever to the customer service for any problems. They lasted 14 years. Thats why I went with them again. BIG BIG MISTAKE. This refrigerator Model#KRMF706ESS has been a problem since I plugged it in. I have missed almost two weeks of work waiting for technicians. I have had many service calls for the same issue and Im still not sure if its resolved. The last technician came out last week and within days my refrigerator is broken again. We started seeing puddles on the floor. The ice was melting in the container. We emptied container and now it doesnt make ice. I called KitchenAid, nothing they can do, when is enough, enough with these people. There was nothing wrong with the money I gave them for the refrigerator. I purchased a new appliance and its been nothing but a pain. They have replaced the same part three times. It still wont fix the problem. I am beyond frustrated. If I could give negative stars I would. When I contact the customer service department its like I am bothering them and wasting their time. They are wasting mine. Customer Service is a thing of the past with their rude customer service people and they dont care now that they have my money. It wasnt working right from the start and it continues to be a problem. I have lost faith in my refrigerator. I dont know if I could go on holidays and leave this appliance on. I wonder if anyone else is having a problem with this refrigerator. The service guy said that they have had nothing but problems with this model. They didnt test it long enough. I guess whoever buys it is a guinea pig. I would never ever ever recommend anyone to buy KitchenAid again. This is the absolute worst service. Since Day 1 it hasnt worked properly. They tell me in order for it to be replaced it has to not be cooling. A technician has to report to them that it is unrepairable and then after he does that, they send it to their engineers and then they see if they can come up with a solution. They could care less how many days of work I miss. They are waiting for my warranty to expire so they can take me to the cleaners for the continued work I know will have to be done once it is out of warranty. Thats the day they are waiting for... class action... thats the day I am waiting for. I know its only $5000.00 but it has cost me more than that now with all the time off work. What happened to the days where companies actually cared about the customer??? I was told the first time I bought the KitchenAid back in 2003 was when it was KitchenAid KitchenAid, now it is KitchenAid Whirlpool and now it sucks!!!!

This machine was at least $200 more than the other machines. We bought it from Best Buy. We wanted a top-of-the-line washer that was a minimal fuss. This machine already broke once, but was covered by warranty. Thats not the worst of it, however. IT WILL NOT CLEAN YOUR DISHES! If you like hand washing dishes before you put them in the dishwasher, or scrubbing them after they come out, this machine is for you. In September I purchased a KitchenAid suite of appliances as part of a total kitchen remodel. Less than four months after purchase the refrigerator stopped cooling. I called KitchenAid “Customer Care”, who in reality do not care at all, was put on hold. Call dropped two times. When I finally was able to speak to someone, the soonest appointment for service available was in ten days, meaning no refrigerator for ten days, not to mention loss of all of my food. I am furious.

I have replaced my stainless steel Kitchen Aid dishwasher twice in the past 9 years. The first time there were issues with the motor/electrical. My current one continues to have problems: electrical issues, wheels falling off, top basket not aligned ever. The product quality is so low. I cant believe I replaced it with another Kitchen Aid. The only reason is that I wanted to match my other appliances. I do not recommend Kitchen Aid dishwasher as their longevity is about 4 years max. Thats a lot of money to invest for just 4 years.

I always wanted to own a KitchenAid appliances Because they’re supposed to be on a higher brand. We finally renovated my dream kitchen and I bought all KitchenAid appliances except for dishwasher which I got a Fisher & Paykel 2 drawer one. Anyway after 8 mos since I bought the Counter depth refrigerator KRFC704FSS It started having a problem with the ice maker. Called in for a service and said they will replace it and in a week the cooling system started to have problems. I called again for service and the guy said it’s a thermostat and they have to order the parts. I called customer service to follow up on the order and they said that it needs to be replaced because they been having problems with the cooling and that the model 704 Is being pulled out and being discontinued so I need to find another model. There’s so much inconvenience on this considering it’s a KitchenAid brand name. I was heartbroken because I really love the fridge and the platinum interiors and its counter depth feature.

I own a Kitchenaid dishwasher model # KUDS301XSS9. We bought it from Sears less than 3 years ago with the service warranty package. Ive had to have a service guy out 3 TIMES IN LESS THAN 3 YEARS to fix 3 separate issues. The lower racks wheels have been falling off and melting, causing damage obviously. They, Kitchenaid, wont send me replacement wheels unless I pay $30 a piece for a pennyworth of plastic. They make their products so poorly that its basically guaranteed to fall apart in no time flat so youll be bound to pay their grossly inflated prices for replacement parts. Do yourself a favor and buy parts elsewhere online for a fraction of the cost. This company is such a joke and refuses to stand behind their products. Lost us and my family as customers for life.

Bought Kitchen Aid mod-kuds35fxssi dishwasher. The control board failed 10 months after bought along with the top rack wheels and the jet spot dispenser leaked. Good thing I bought it from a local appliance store. They are authorized repair for what they sell, very good to deal with. Fixed the 3 issues .100 days later the control board failed again its only covered 90days after a repair so we called Kitchen Aid. They wouldnt do anything so we bought service plan. Meantime the top rack wheels broke. 90 days after bought service plan, we got control board repaired. The rack not covered we paid for rack repair. Now about 16 months after buying the dishwasher 4th set of rack wheels broke. We called Kitchen Aid, argued for some help. A free replacement part only was offered, we accepted. I installed it. Now the bottom wheel on right of the bottom rack falls off. Not what you expect from a Kitchen Aid dishwasher.

I bought this KitchenAid dishwasher thinking maybe it would last more than 6 or 7 years like the other brands Ive had. This one actually needed a repair before it hit the 4 year mark! Needed a new computer - of course the part was under warranty (five year) but the service call and labor were not. Spent $155.00 to have the part replaced. I also had to replace the upper rack after approx. 1 1/2 years. Ive had cheaper brands that have lasted longer without repair so next time I know better - Ill stick to the lower end brands as there seems to be no difference in the quality anymore. Disappointed!!!

Stay away from the Steam Oven. We purchased this double wall oven which is a high-end Steam Oven on October 9, 2014. I cleaned it for the first time last week. The door does not seal between the panes. They are now streaked. There are big stains in the floor of each oven from the steam cooking. This is not able to be cleaned. I called Kitchen Aid, 800-422-1230. I was told the staining is normal. It is considered cosmetic and not covered under warranty. The doors are also cosmetic, even though I would need a repair man to disassemble the doors in order to clean them. I would not purchase this high-end item again, EVER. Although it cooks wonderfully, I want it to look clean. I am going to pull out the oven and purchase a different unit because having a double wall oven that cannot be cleaned is out of the picture in my house, as I am sure it is in yours.

When I re-did my kitchen I went with all Kitchen-Aid Appliances based on reputation. I included the Kitchen-Aid 25.8 CF French Door, 5-drawer refrigerator. I purchased all of this in 10/1/16. I am now on my second repair. About 2 years ago the fridge part stopped working and a technician had to replace a coil. Today my freezer stopped working. It is very disheartening to know how much was spent on the this product just to have it break down every two years. I called Kitchen-Aid directly who stated they can send out a service guy out of warranty. That is also, in my opinion, bad customer service. This is a higher end product that they are not willing to work with me on. I will rely on my home warranty for this repair but be mindful if you are thinking of buying this refrigerator.

Ok, here we go! I am writing this review in the midst of having to repair an only 2-year old KitchenAid KRFF507ESS01 refrigerator. I wish I had seen these consumer report reviews prior to purchase!! Please take my review seriously so that I can prevent someone else from making the same mistake!! The major issues started about 3 months ago!! First, we noticed a noise (maybe fan) coming from back of fridge... louder at some times than others. I also didn’t realize at time that water leaking from ice dispenser when in use had preceded the noise! I just previously ‘chalked’ that issue up because it didn’t occur all the time! After about a couple of weeks of the noise getting louder and softer, it went away! The bigger issue a couple of weeks later became that the fridge was not cooling properly... Supposed to be 37* in fridge. And at this point the ice maker was not working well; making a handful of ice cubes that were not fully formed! My husband and I ran through the manuals extensive list of troubleshooting advice but could not find the issue! We cleaned the front vent from dust thinking this may be the cause... This seemed to resolved issue or so we thought!! 2 days later the fridge and ice maker were malfunctioning again with same issues except the noise!! I also purchased a thermometer for fridge and freezer to see what internal temps were... 50* in fridge and 30* in freezer! I purchased these because there is no other way that fridge indicates internal temps??? Only set temperature is accessible from LCD panel!I called a repairman who walked in and immediately knowing the (common) issue from a bottom freezer fridge, pulled out the deli drawer which revealed ice formed completely covering condenser cover. He proceeded to tell me these are the worst refrigerators (bottom freezer) and also that they are not built to last more than a year before needing repairs! He said he recommends anybody purchasing one to get the extended warranty because the manufacturer warranty is EXTREMELY limited beyond 1 year as stated in manual. He then ordered a fan, wire and harness and cover (I imagine because he may break existing cover removing it). Boom! $169. For service call. He wasn’t sure what parts will cost yet because his iPad was not working and had to place order on phone through his employer. He then gave me instruction to empty fridge and freezer and leave doors open to defrost ice for 2 days! Thanks KitchenAid once again!! I had to throw out over $500 worth of food from fridge and freezer!! He then said that it will get down to proper temps and that I could use again but that buildup of ice will start again but hopefully be resolved with replacement parts. Hopefully doesn’t sound promising!!Unfortunately, I didn’t purchase an extended warranty but that isn’t the point I’m trying to make! The fact of the matter is that KitchenAid builds a crappy fridge!! Unfortunately, I purchased matching dishwasher and wall oven/microwave combo at same time so now I’m just waiting for issues with these (As a side note, the handle on freezer drawer loosens all the time for which I have to tighten with allen wrench every few days!)!! Well that’s my story as I wait for replacement parts and looking forward to that bill! Sincerely FRUSTRATED KitchenAid customer!

After a few months of use, the side of the maple cabinet next to the dishwasher began to turn black and we noticed it getting hot when the dishwasher was being used. We uninstalled the dishwasher and noticed the panel was delaminating opposite the vent on the dishwasher. We called for service and they looked at the problem. And after they called KitchenAid, they said there was nothing wrong with the dishwasher and the vent could not leak steam because it was only open when the water was filling to vent the pressure and because of the weight of the small plastic door, it could not let steam out. We contacted Hhgregg where we purchased and not much help. This product is under warranty; definitely a design problem and a company who is not willing to look into or correct it.

I purchased a full set of Kitchenaid appliances 2 years ago. My purchase included a refrigerator, range, dishwasher, and microwave. Close to $10,000 worth of appliances. My experience with the refrigerator and Kitchenaids support had been a nightmare. (For clarification, Im middle aged, this is the 5th home I have owned and remodeled in my lifetime, and I consider myself reasonably intelligent with reasonable expectations.) I have had issues with the refrigerator within the first month of installation. - The water dispenser was and is incredibly loud. You can hear it on the other side of house. The authorized Kitchenaid repair person told me that it was a fault in the design and nothing could be done - The ice maker would randomly defrost and leak all over the floor: The authorized Kitchenaid repair person told me that it was a fault in the design and nothing could be done. If the left door was left slightly ajar, the alarm would not go off: The authorized Kitchenaid repair person told me that it was the design, and that one particular door is impacted and there was nothing wrong with the unit. - The lights on the inside of the unit would randomly not work, but then work 1 hour to 2 days later: The authorized Kitchenaid repair person told me that it was a head-scratcher, But because it was functioning when he looked at it, nothing to be done.I decided to purchase an extended warranty because I was already nervous about the longevity of the unit. During that extended warranty time, the previously mentioned items continued. Three weeks after the warranty expired, the unit basically died. It would randomly defrost the entire freezer and only come back on by flipping the breaker several times. The interior lights would not work about 30% of the time and the water dispenser would randomly stop working. When the freezer would start to thaw, so would the ice in the icemaker... and leak all over the floor. I had a different repair person come out. I was not going to have the same useless waste of time company come out if it was going to be out of my pocket. They replaced the entire motor. It worked for two days, and started the process again. They then replaced one of the primary computer boards. $1100 later, it worked for 3 weeks and then started thawing, defrosting, lights off, etc again. The thing is either possessed or a total lemon.

I bought a KitchenAid dishwasher May 2013. HORRIBLE. Within weeks, problems showed up. Wine glasses exploded in top rack, their shards damaging the engine. Food sticks and dries on dishes, requiring hand washing of ALL items first. Plastic mixing bowls melt in top rack. And that top rack, so flimsy, falls off its track at will. When I complained to KA, they said it was my tough luck and, because they dont replace their faulty products, that I should shell out more money for extended service. I did that. And wow, what a nightmare thats become! Horrible and rude technicians come out, late and almost always accusatory: dont use right detergent, dont use right amount of detergent. Today, the guy summarized, Youre having trouble because you dont know how to use a dishwasher. Time to cut my losses and frustrations and look for a reliable appliance, NOT KITCHENAID.

Kitchenaid Duel Fuel Range Oven Problem Model KDRP407HSS10 - While baking oven door locked and went into cleaning cycle, food in oven was smoking and could not cancel cycle. Husband had to turn breaker off and let oven cool down and then turn breaker back on so electronics would unlock door and then was able to get food out. Tried to use oven again and did the same thing. Called Kitchenaid and they would not admit or even acknowledge they were aware of the problem. I told them they had to be aware of the problem because I have seen postings of the same exact problem going all the way back to 2005. Had to ask twice to talk to supervisors at next level to try and get their explanation of what it would take to repair the range. I explained I wanted to talk to someone who had knowledge of what it was required to fix the problem. Someone at KA has to know what is wrong. I am now waiting for the third supervisor to call us back. One posting I read said that in the state of NY there was a class action lawsuit filed against KA. This is an extremely dangerous situation and could cause a serious fire. Do not understand why this problem has not been addressed. The ovens should have been recalled.

Three years ago I upgraded my entire kitchen with stainless KitchenAid appliances, after much research - with a hefty price tag. I liked that the products were made in the USA and that they were considered high-end appliances. I even replaced a Bosch dishwasher (it did not live up to its reputation). The oven cost $1500 and change at the time of purchase, and the model is now over $1900. Two and a half years later my oven started having problems - it turns off during cooking and will not come back on. I had repair people out several times but they could not fix it. Turns out it needs a whole new keyboard, which is over $800 just for the part. I tried to contact KitchenAid customer service - yes, this was out of the 1 year warranty but I felt that it should not be having such problems after only 2.5-3 years (the oven that I replaced was 15 years old and was in perfect working order - and was a much lower-end appliance).Anyway, I have tried in vain to get KitchenAid to help me but they will not. My dishwasher has also had several pieces fall off that have had to be replaced. You would think this company would help their customers but no, they ignored my letter. All I wanted was to purchase a new oven at a discount - which they would normally allow but they will not let me do so because I have a home warranty plan (which I had not used to help in any way other than to diagnose the issue). Shame on KitchenAid for such horrible customer service, and for selling overpriced appliances that do not last and definitely are NOT worth the high prices. We purchased a new refrigerator 2 weeks ago. The first one that was delivered was defective and after sending out a repair crew that could not fix it, it was replaced with a second defective refrigerator. After spending hours on the phone, KitchenAid sent out a repair company that stated the entire compressor and coils needed to be replaced and compared it to a new car needing a brand new engine and suggested having KitchenAid deliver us a new refrigerator. We requested that KitchenAid either deliver a brand new working refrigerator or pick up the defective one and refund us our money so we can buy another refrigerator elsewhere. KitchenAid refused and told us they just cant help us even though the refrigerator never worked from day 1 and is under warranty for 30 days. We spent a lot of money for a brand new refrigerator and do not want a rebuilt model when we paid for a new one. We have been without a refrigerator for 2 weeks now, have spent numerous hours taking off from work waiting for delivery and repair people and KitchenAid is not willing to assist us or even offered us any kind of concessions to make this situation right. We are extremely disappointed with this company, their customer service and how they conduct their business.

First, I had to exchange this stove, because of the computer problems it had (exchanged it two times). Unfortunately it was over 30 days so I could not return it. Second, it takes over 30 minutes to preheat the oven! Third, after a month of using it two light bulbs went off!! At the same time!!!Last, but not least their service team checked and stated that the temperature in the oven is right, but to roast or bake it takes twice as long! Not to mention that the glass top is made from some horrible material and it is very difficult to clean! And one area of glass is already chipped off!! I bought it in June 2016 four month ago! After several experiences with our KitchenAid Dishwasher (Model KUDE60HXSS, purchased 4/17/12) including flooding, pump failure, control board failure etc. starting less than a year after purchase, I can only say that our voice has joined the chorus. I discovered this website and upon reading a recent entry seriously thought my husband had already gone on this website and written a review. There were many that were practically identical/very similar to our horrific experiences with our KitchenAid dishwasher and the accompanying atrocious customer service. At this very minute I am typing to the sound of 3 industrial size fans in my kitchen drying out my wood flooring and kitchen cabinetry for the third time in 2 years. My guesstimate for all this is in the realm of a year of college tuition (private, liberal arts) as we have now had 3 replacements of flooring, cabinetry, and plumbing. So I definitely hope my daughter is cramming in those college classes, because she is going to have to hurry up and graduate in 3 years as KitchenAid has burned up one year of her tuition!

Spent $3200+ on a KitchenAid Refrigerator model KRMF606ESS00 about a year a
Spent $3200+ on a KitchenAid Refrigerator model KRMF606ESS00 about a year ago. Weve had nothing but problems since we got it. The ice/water dispenser would stick open and wed end up with water and ice on the floor. The tech that came out to fix it said that theres a known delay between the ice/water paddle dispenser and the computer that tells the refrigerator to dispense the water. He did replace the unit because it was sticking as well as the delay. This helped. Would have been nice to know this before ordering the refrigerator. Shortly after that was fixed we noticed that our food was spoiling prematurely and the refrigerator seemed warm. I bought a thermometer and found out that the inside of the refrigerator was around 46-48 degrees when it was set to 33. This time the tech that came out said that the paddles werent opening to allow cold air into the refrigerator. Fine. Ordered a part that came in in a few days and installed it. The tech cleaned out pounds of ice that had built up in the back of the unit between the fridge and the freezer when he installed this part. Because of this, all seemed well for a week or 2 until the thermometer started climbing up again. However, this did not fix the problem. This time the tech that came out said it was a gas solenoid that needed to be ordered - something about the coolant not distributing properly between the freezer and fridge. He said it would be a few days to order the part. Five days later I call the repair people again and they said they had to order the part from the manufacturer and it would still be another week or 2. Um HELLO we have spoiled food here and it is the week before Christmas. Nothing we can do maam. We can overnight the part for $100. Call the manufacturer to see if they can do anything. Called the manufacturer WHIRLPOOL who proceeded tell me that theres nothing they could do - they got the order for the part - it IS IN STOCK but they havent shipped it yet. Well, can you overnight it? That is not our policy maam. What? Why not? Can I talk to your supervisor? No maam, that is not our policy. I can email my supervisor and they will get back to you in 24-48 hours. Are you kidding me?? You dont have a supervisor? That is not our policy maam. If he called me maam one more time I would have jumped through the phone. So basically, screw you, customer. Were not helping you and dont care if your food is spoiling. Oh, but were happy to take your $100+ per year to extend your warranty on this piece of crap. DONT BUY KITCHENAID IF YOU WANT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. THEY ARE THE WORST.

My Kitchen Aid Dishwasher Model KUDS3o1XSS4 Bought for $753.14 is three yea
My Kitchen Aid Dishwasher Model KUDS3o1XSS4 Bought for $753.14 is three years old. It was working fine until the wheel to the top rack broke in October. I called the warranty department as I have a warranty bought for $127.37 just to discover that the warranty would not cover this kind of part even though I cant use the machine without it.I ordered the part through Marcon company for about $46 including shipping. I was told the part is in backorder (it is being manufactured). They had no idea when it will be there and I am in line because many customers have ordered that part. It took me hours on the phone with many customer service people - some were careless and some were sympathetic. Finally I got the part after more than a month after talking and begging the supervisor to help. Three weeks after the the other wheel broke today. I placed the order for another $44 dollars. This machine is a piece of junk. I am totally disappointed with Kitchen Aid. I had one before and lasted me nine years without real problems. Based on that experience I bought Kitchen aid again. But not any more. The parts are made of cheap plastic that will break all the time. Not sturdy enough to hold cups and glasses, the service is bad, the warranty does not cover any of the interior parts not the racks or the wheels or knobs or grates or shelves. They call them non functional parts, though without the wheel you cant use the top rack as it will fall.I tried to call the manufacturer to complain but I was waiting on the phone forever and no one answered the phone. I cannot afford losing time on top of losing money.

Refrigerator doors are uneven despite repair visit to adjust. Oven fan doesnt turn off. Within first year dishwasher delay start function stopped working. Total junk. Purchased cabriolet laundry appliances (KitchenAid is parent company) and tub of drier cracked and had to replace in 13th month. They let me buy a one year extended warranty for $200+. Whoopee.

We have had a KitchenAid dishwasher (model # KUDI01FLBL3) for over six year
We have had a KitchenAid dishwasher (model # KUDI01FLBL3) for over six years now. We purchased this dishwasher so we could mount a cabinet panel on the front to match the kitchen cabinets. After just one year, the plastic parts in the door spring assembly broke and the door came crashing down. Customer service told me that the parts would not be under warranty. After several hours of talking to different departments, I finally received the parts at no cost. Less than two years later, the same parts broke again and the door came crashing down. I talked to several technicians at KitchenAid stating that this was a design flaw. They said it was more than likely due to the panel I had installed on the front of the dishwasher being too heavy. I removed it and took it back to the cabinet shop. It was one pound under the recommended weight. I paid $100 to remove another two pounds of wood from it before reinstalling it along with new plastic door parts (which I had to pay for this time). The same parts have broken two more times in the past three years. I have had the cabinet company install removable panels in the cabinets on both sides of the dishwasher for easier access to replace the broken plastic parts. Now, the door latch will not hold the door closed. I called customer service for replacement parts. It was going to be over $100 for parts and shipping! They stated that there was nothing wrong with the original design but they now have redesigned the original parts. This was the same story I got for the plastic door spring assembly parts! Between the door parts, cabinet work and now the latch, Im now going to buy another dishwasher. It will not be a KitchenAid ever!
