Midea Heat Pump Error Codes
If you're looking for help fixing your Midea Heat Pump, look no further! Our comprehensive Midea Heat Pump error code guide will explain common issues, provide tips, and show you how to read your model's error codes.
Midea heat pumps, like many other HVAC systems, use error codes to help diagnose issues. The specific error codes can vary depending on the model and type of your Midea heat pump. It's crucial to refer to your heat pump's user manual or technical documentation for accurate information about error codes.
Here are some general Midea heat pump error codes and their potential meanings. Keep in mind that these are generic examples, and your specific model may have different codes:
E0: This code may indicate a communication error between the indoor and outdoor units. It could be due to wiring issues or a malfunction in the communication circuit.
E1: This code could be related to a high or low voltage issue. Check the power supply to the heat pump and ensure that it meets the specified requirements.
E2: This code might indicate a temperature sensor fault. The temperature sensor is crucial for the accurate operation of the heat pump.
E3: This code may relate to issues with the fan motor or fan speed control. It could indicate a problem with the indoor or outdoor fan.
E4: This code could point to issues with the refrigerant pressure or a refrigerant leak.
E5: This code may indicate a fault with the outdoor unit's defrosting function.
Again, it's essential to check your specific model's documentation for accurate information about error codes and their meanings.
If you encounter an error code on your Midea heat pump, it's advisable to consult the user manual first. The manual typically includes a troubleshooting guide that may provide steps to address common issues associated with specific error codes. If you're unable to resolve the problem or if the issue persists, it's recommended to contact Midea customer support or a qualified HVAC technician for assistance. They can provide accurate diagnostics and perform any necessary repairs.

This replaced an instantaneous LPGas H.W.S Very quiet, about the noise of a quiet microwave or small external aircon unit on low. I run economy mode (heat pump only) always and i estimate it uses 70% less energy than a non heatpump HWS would use. And it's way cheaper than LPGas A timer allows you to use your solar power energy rather than grid energy (if your on net metering) through the day and also use the hottest parts of the day for heat pump efficiency. However the clock resets (timer settings do not) if power is lost meaning a start through the night using grid power if you forget to reset the clock. I expect a 10 year life like any other HWS or Aircon appliance and time will tell.
I never run out of hot water and its never missed a beat. Yes i have to reset every now and then after power outages but that's no big deal. My bills have also reduced so i'm happy,
Love the price, love the performance, love the hot water, love the efficiency, love the quiet, love everything about this unit. We got this 2 years ago under SA's HWS efficiency rebate scheme, and we couldn't be happier with it. We get nice piping hot water whenever we need it and haven't run out of hot water yet. It sits quietly in the courtyard, doing its thing, and uses minimal electricity. We purchased direct from Chromagen and their customer service was great, and the install was a breeze. What's not to love??
We got our new Heat Pump Hot Water System (170L) installed a few weeks ago, and it is working great, I was a bit worried that we might run out of hot water, but we haven't yet & it has been fine. I would definitely recommend getting some sort of UV protector for the screen, we have a bit of film stuff that the plumber gave us, and that protects it a bit from the UV rays. Just hope it keeps working for several years to come.
Installed 7 years ago and has never missed a beat! Great install. Has never frozen in winter. Is very cheap to run.
