Viking Appliance Repair

Being a leader requires confidence. It takes vision to anticipate what's just beyond the horizon. It takes guts to create something in a space where nothing existed before. Leading is exactly what Viking has been doing for almost 40 years. We originated the professional grade range for the home kitchen.

Dishwasher Repair

For the home, kitchen and beyond, Viking manufactures appliances that homeowners have come to trust. Even a trustworthy appliance requires occasional maintenance or repair, however. If you’re in need of Viking appliance repair from experienced professionals, your local Appliance Helper can help.

Dishwasher won’t drain
If your Viking dishwasher is not draining properly,  follow these simple tips below:
Clean the filter from any debris
Make sure the drain hose isn’t kinked or bent
Clean out the air gap
Check the garbage disposal unit for clogs
If you’ve tried all the tips above and your dishwasher still won’t drain properly, the problem is likely due to a fault with the internal components of your dishwasher. It can be:
Faulty drain pump or motor
Broken drain impeller
Faulty drain solenoid kit
Malfunctioning check valve or many more.
In this case, a professional appliance repairman help is required.

Dishwasher won’t clean properly
If you found the dishes came out dirty after the dishwasher cycle is completed, try the following tips to resolve the issue:
Give the spray arms a spin to make sure they can move freely without obstruction
Turn on the hot water faucet nearest the dishwasher and clear the line of cold water.
Add fresh and dry detergent to the dispenser
Load all items so that the force of the water and the detergent reach soiled surfaces
Unfortunately, even after these useful tips, you Viking dishwasher may not clean dishes, as it should because of these faulty  parts:
Worn spray arm bearing ring
Defective water inlet valve
Restricted water supply tube
Cracked wash spinner
Rely on our experienced technicians when you need some faulty parts to replace.

Dishwasher is leaking
When your Viking dishwasher is leaking, try the following before calling the professionals:
Make sure the dishwasher is leveled
Wipe down the condensed water from the underside of the work surface
Check the drain and inlet hoses for tears or damage in the material
If you’ve checked all of these places and your dishwasher is still leaking, it may be time to call in professional help as the following parts might be causing the issue:
Defective water inlet valve
Broken wash arm
Cracked motor shaft seal
Damaged sump seal
Faulty door gasket

Dishwasher won’t start
And finally, when your Viking dishwasher won’t start, you can perform the following:
Make sure that your dishwasher is plugged in and getting power
Check if the dishwasher door is closed properly
Ensure the water supply is turned on to the dishwasher
If your dishwasher won’t start, these parts  can be the culprits of the issue:
Broken door switch
Defective door latch
Blown thermal fuse
Damaged touchpad
Faulty main control board
Faulty timer
If your Viking dishwasher still doesn’t run and you may need assistance of a qualified technician.

Microwave Repair

For the home, kitchen and beyond, Viking manufactures appliances that homeowners have come to trust. Even a trustworthy appliance requires occasional maintenance or repair, however. If you’re in need of Viking appliance repair from experienced professionals, your local Appliance Helper can help.

Preparing for Microwave Oven Repair
Microwave oven repair is sometimes straightforward, but many problems fall outside the scope of casual home "fake it 'til you make it" repairs. A few important points:
Don't attempt a repair if your microwave is still under warranty, because that voids your warranty. Also, why do it yourself when a professional will look after it for you?
Always unplug the microwave before you remove the cover and begin testing.
Capacitors can deliver a nasty and potentially lethal shock, even when the microwave is unplugged. If you can't recognize a capacitor on sight, you should probably leave any board-level troubleshooting to someone more experienced.

Microwave Has no Power
If your microwave has no power at all, that's actually good news because it means some of the simplest fixes may apply. To begin with, if your microwave stopped working in the middle of cooking, it might simply be a breaker (or fuse, in an older home). Check your panel, reset it if necessary and try again. If the breaker promptly blows again, there's an issue with the microwave and you should stop using it.
A second common problem, and easy fix, is that the microwave's main fuse may have blown. It's a cylindrical fuse, usually ceramic and usually rated for 20 or 25 amps. Remove it from the fuse holder, set your meter to its continuity setting if it has one or its ohms/resistance setting if not, and test the fuse. If it shows no continuity, or a resistance of infinity or zero, replace the fuse. It's the simplest microwave oven repair, one that most people are capable of.
Most microwaves also have a thermal cutout or "thermal fuse," to keep it from overheating. Those are a bit harder to spot but quite recognizable if you look up some images online. Disconnect the cutout from the board and test it for continuity. As with a conventional fuse, lack of continuity or a resistance of zero or infinity means the cutout should be replaced. The cutout's temperature rating will be printed on the side, and you should replace it with one of the same rating.

Microwave Won't Start
If your microwave has power but won't cook, it's often a problem with the door. The door's latch contains an interlock switch that keeps it from operating when the door isn't closed. If that fails, the microwave won't work.
To test the switch, unplug it and remove the cabinet. The switch is a "normally open" type, meaning you should only get continuity when its plunger/actuator button is pushed down. With the leads of your meter connected to the terminals (labeled C for common and NO for normally open), press the switch. If you don't get continuity, the switch is your culprit and needs to be replaced.
If the switch is working, the problem may lie with the spring-loaded door hooks, which close the door firmly, and trigger the interlock. If the hooks are worn or the springs have lost tension, they may not trigger the door switch properly. Replacing them requires disassembling and possibly removing the door. It takes some time but isn't especially difficult.

Microwave Won't Cook
If the microwave starts fine but won't actually cook food, the problem is very often with the magnetron. You'll need to unplug and open the microwave, and then discharge the capacitor safely to avoid the risk of shock, according to Authorized Service Appliance Repair. If you aren't confident in your ability to do that safely, you should call in an appliance repair professional.
Once you have access to the magnetron, disconnect its wires and test them for continuity. You should show continuity of 2 to 3 ohms between the terminals. If there's no continuity between the terminals, or if there is continuity between the terminals and the magnetron's outer case, it will need to be replaced.

Range Repair

For the home, kitchen and beyond, Viking manufactures appliances that homeowners have come to trust. Even a trustworthy appliance requires occasional maintenance or repair, however. If you’re in need of Viking appliance repair from experienced professionals, your local Appliance Helper can help.

The Oven Won't Turn On
Your Viking oven won't heat up if it won't even turn on. Whether you have a gas or electric oven, the first step to troubleshoot an oven that won't turn on is to check the breaker box. A power surge, for example, may cause the circuit breaker switch to trip by moving it to the "off" position. When you check the switch that corresponds to your oven, make sure it's in the "on" position and also make sure that your oven is plugged into a 220- to 240-volt outlet to ensure it has an adequate power supply.

The Oven Doesn't Cook Evenly
The bake and broil elements may not be conducting heat as they should. Turn on the broiler and see if the element at the top of your oven is glowing with an even red color. Turn off the broiler and set the oven to a bake setting; check to see if the element at the bottom of your oven has a consistent red color. If you see any breaks in the red color from either element, the faulty element needs to be replaced.

The Oven Door Won't Close
It may be time to replace the door hinge if the oven door doesn't close properly. You may also want to check and see if the oven racks are correctly installed. If you recently moved one of the racks to a different position in the oven to make room for a large roasting pan, for example, the rack may be resting incorrectly on the sidewalls and obstructing the oven door from tightly closing.

The Oven Won't Self-Clean
The self-clean cycle on a Viking oven cannot begin until the door is securely locked. If you're having trouble locking the door, the door switch or the lock itself may be faulty. A burned wire or failed timer may also be the culprit.

he Light Isn't Working
An obvious and easy fix for a light not working in your Viking oven is simply that you need to replace a bad lightbulb. Be sure to use an appliance bulb of proper wattage, according to the recommendation in your user manual. If that doesn't fix the problem, an oven technician will check some electrical issues, including the light switch, the tumbler switch or the control board. Unless you're a certified electrician, calling in an expert is the safest way to diagnose and repair any electrical issues.

Refrigerator Repair

I went around to a lot of different stores, saw the different functionalities and I liked what Viking had to offer. The range has a great quality. I like the burners, the burner heads, and the way that it looks. I like that youre able to proof the dough in the oven. I also love the French door oven option that Viking has. Their team has been great too. I had an issue with my oven and I got it resolved pretty quickly so I was very happy with that as well.

I purchased a Viking range in 2007 and paid almost $5,000 for the unit. In November 2011, the oven stopped working. Mr. Appliance of New York City was recommended by Viking as the authorized service representative. Between November 2011 and June 2012, I have had 8 visits by Mr. Appliance. They replaced a thermostat control (twice), replaced the circuit board and still havent found the problem. Amount paid by that point was $670. At the 8th visit, they said the reason my oven wouldnt work was a broken oven door latch, broken (they said) during the self-clean cycle. Additional expected cost, $460, except I have never once used the self-clean cycle. It was most likely broken by the repairmen in their attempts to find the source of my problem. In dealing with Viking Customer Service, they didnt even bother to be charming. The people I spoke with were defensive, unsympathetic and unpleasant. Maybe they have had too many fed up customers and are tired of all of us. They simply told me to try another authorized service dealer in my area. Frankly, this is outrageous. I had expected more of a company that charges $5,000 for its products. The quality of the unit is low. The customer service was poor and the authorized service dealer (Mr. Appliance) is even worse. I will never ever buy another Viking product again, of any kind, and under no circumstances could I recommend Mr. Appliance of New York City. They do not have even basic competence.

The Viking refrigerator is well-lit and well-designed. The only criticism I have is that when we open up the bottom drawer and let the icebox fill up to the top, as we pull out that drawer that has the icebox, the little metal piece that you flip up and down to turn off or on the icemaker very often grabs a roll of ice cube, shoots them into the back of the refrigerator, and they come flying out underneath the freezer compartment. If I was 30 years old picking up the cubes it wouldn’t bother me as much, but Im 70 years old and having to lean over and pick up the ice cubes when they fly across the floor is not something Im enjoying. What weve been doing is once the icebox is filled, we flip the metal bar up and we leave it off until the box is fairly empty and then put it back up again. I don’t think it has to do with a malfunction and that they could fix that without redesigning the refrigerator. If someone asks about Viking, I would tell them to consider making sure that they look at the design of each of the refrigerators and make sure that this particular design is something theyre gonna be aware of in case they buy this model. This is a problem Im having with this model and maybe another model doesn’t have that problem.

When I went into the store of the multi-product and multi-brand dealer, I had a shortlist of what would fit in my house, and the Viking refrigerator was one of them. Its well-rated. I looked online for reviews and did more of my research outside of the dealer store. The refrigerator that I got from Viking is good. I like it a lot, especially the lighting. However, there are two things that I dont like about it. One is that I wish I had filtered water. The second one is that when you use the ice tray in the automatic ice feature, the little bars that measure whether its full or not usually catch the ice, and then the ice falls back into the freezer and you cant shut the freezer. So then you have to fish up some of the ice. But its hard to get back there because you have to get down on your hands and knees and slide the big tray out. Otherwise, the ref is working well.

Ive known about Viking forever and as a matter of fact, the brother of one of my friends in Iowa used to be a distributor for Viking. I had a GE Profile that broke down after about five years and I was not about to put any money into it, so I thought Id invest in a Viking. Ive dealt with the dealer, Abt, before for other things and I got my Viking refrigerator from them. The guys who installed it were absolutely wonderful and they tried not to scratch floors. They did a good job and it was first class as far as installation. While the water for the GE was hooked up with plastic, the Viking has a nice metal flexible pipe. Howeve, the bottom drawer broke apart when I pulled it out. A gentleman came out, looked at it, and said that theyll send me a new one. They sent another drawer out and so that was no problem. Another thing also is that every time I looked at the temperature on the GE, it was the same temperature on my little thermometer. On the Viking, the temperature jumps around so it does things differently. Still, it runs quite a bit more than my GE ran.

We thought that there was an issue with the range. After speaking with several people, those individuals from customer service didnt know about the product and how it works. So, we had to have two specialists come out to look at it. The first one couldnt give us an answer, and the second one looked at it for about two minutes and said that the issue we were having was completely normal. It took us about a month to feel like we were using it safely before someone said that and we didnt expect people on the phone to know exactly what the product is. We havent used the range to its full potential as of yet but were happy with it.

Every time I open the drawer, theres too much ice in the ice bin and it would spill out all over the floor. Viking is saying that it’s the design flaw and they wont send anybody out to look at it. Im not happy about it at all. I’ve had it for a year now and it was still under the warranty period although it has since expired. We designed the whole cabinetry around the fridge and I don’t wanna just swap it out. That would not be a great result but I am worried. Otherwise, it’s a good fridge and I like it. It has a nice base and it does what it supposed to do. It looks good and it works. There’s a special temperature drawer in the bottom, which is kinda cool, but it’s nothing I really use.

We have had this VDSC548T6G range/oven for about 3 years. The ignitor on the left front burner takes over 1 minute to light and often does not light at all, this is the only burner of the 6 that has this issue (part is a DSI module). Over Thanksgiving the oven knob/electronic module stopped working (part is Electronic control module). We called a service technician who claimed the parts were no longer available. Anyone have any suggestions for purchasing parts? This is so frustrating.

The Viking range is a good range. It has high heat. I selected it because I do a lot of stir-fry and I wanted something that has good heat control. However, it has some rattles that I dont like. I did have somebody come in and look at it. He corrected a few things and said, Because it is a custom kitchen, there are some places that the range touched, which he said normally wouldnt have been the case in a traditional installation. He seemed to have a reason for it. I was pleased when I called. I was smelling gas. They put me on to a service guy in New York. I was able to arrange a visit with him pretty quickly. He came over and corrected the problem very quickly. The pipe where the gas comes in was a little shifted. He was able to crack that. He said it wasnt a serious problem and its been working fine since. I havent smelled gas. He also explained to me what the situation was and the safety features with the Viking. If I was going to do it again, I wouldnt do it so quickly. I’d probably end up with a Viking because of the reputation and because of things Ive heard. But I was kind of rushed when I made the purchase so I might have looked around a little more. But in terms of cooking, Im very satisfied.

Ive always heard that Viking Refrigerators were top-of-the-line. I looked at brands like Samsung but they were kinda new in the market and we preferred going with someone who has been doing it for a while. We have never really gone top-of-the-top but we were doing a remodel. We went to Pacific Sales and it was very good. We started looking at top quality versus the standard ones that they offered and decided we could spend a little more money. The dishwasher was thrown in for free so, that made it a no-brainer. I called in to get everything registered and the gal who answered the phone was great. She helped me because we had to add some zeros to the model number. She was really good because she gave me a heads up when I was doing the refrigerator and hadn’t done the stove. Calling in to get the service was very good too.The layout of the refrigerator was really good as well as the warning system. We liked the shelves and the door. We can pull up the grids on the burners of the stove, take the burners out and there’s a little shelf that you can pull out. It’s great and makes it so much easier to clean the stove. Its also easier to cook and I don’t have to worry about the surface top getting dirty. Also, switching to gas from electric made a huge difference. We heard the oven was good quality, but unfortunately, we used it once and the igniter was not working. So, were waiting for the part and we want to use it.

Viking VMOS200 died after 7 years of very little use - repairs quoted in the $200-$250 range... not worth it. So now had to find exact same size replacement because of its existing Viking Trim Kit ($400+ by itself) and which matches other trim kits in kitchen. Anyway, only new Viking unit that fits our trim kit is the VMOS201 unit - at a fixed price of $689 plus local tax. Took old unit apart and discovered its basically a Sharp 2.0 cubic foot R530ES model... also obsolete. Note that the current Viking VMOS201 is also Sharp inside.Did some research and found that Frigidaire uses the same Sharp box, model FGMO205KF - and its half the cost of the Viking/Sharp VMOS201. All you give up is the heavier Viking stainless steel door and the Viking emblem. And if you must have the Viking emblem to match other appliances, just remove it from your old unit (use a hot hair dryer and saw the adhesive away with dental floss) and swap with the Frigidaire label. Hope this help other folks that dont want to pay $400. Too much for a commodity Sharp microwave.

I’ve owned Viking before, and I like the features they had on this particular model. It’s easy to purchase. But Ive had to contact them multiple times. It’s a piece of garbage. It’s broken multiple times. We have a two oven model. The oven will go into self-cleaning mode and lock, even though we’re not trying to clean, we’re trying to cook. And it’ll take days to get the oven unlocked with food stuck in it. Ovens will just die because they won’t heat properly. We have the electric oven with the gas burners. And so, we’ve had failure to heat multiple times as well, with defective relays, defective elements. It’s also very hard to get a serviceperson to come. And when they come, they dont fix it. One problem has recurred and not been repaired several times, and then, I had another problem as well. They always try to charge me for the call, even though it was under warranty. I would never buy Viking again.

We love our Viking range. Everything is perfect. The dealer, however, told me that we were going to have our Viking stove at a particular date. I called up and they said, “No. Its not here.” And then they said it would be on this date. When I called them up again it still was not there. So, there was a delay action and then when the individual said, “Oh, we don’t get shipments in on this particular day”, in reality, yes, they did.

We bought our Viking oven 4 1/2 years ago because I like to cook and wanted an oven that could stand up to that. Sadly, I have been very disappointed with the oven. From the beginning I noticed that the knobs on the front of the oven would get almost too hot to touch whenever I had the oven on over 400 degrees for a length of time. Two weeks ago the oven broke. We had to replace the DSI control panel at a cost of almost $700. The oven worked for one day and then broke again. Im now told I will have to wait 2 months for another DSI control panel to become available and I cant be certain that is even going to fix the problem. When I told the repairman I would never again buy a Viking, he said I should have bought a Wolf because he repairs about 10x as many Vikings as he does Wolf ovens. Wish I had known...

The Viking range is a little bit different to cook on than a regular range. Things seem to get hotter faster. It’s not that it’s a bad thing. Its just a little bit of a learning curve. I have a little bit of a concern as to how to clean this oven since it’s not a self-cleaning oven. Also, the fan in this range is extremely loud. After I use the oven, it is on for a good hour after I turn the oven off. I had a guy out here and he told me that thats just the way they are. Still, someone should have mentioned that before I bought that big ticket item. But the quality is fine.

We were in the midst of buying a new range and I wanted to see which one was rated the best. We found one that had a good rating and thats what we went in to go look at at PC Richard. But then, my wife saw Viking and the store was running a really good sale on it. My wife liked the way the Viking range looked and she said she always wanted one, so we got one. When we bought it, PC Richard gave my wife a free five-year plan and they also claimed that we can return something within 30 days if we werent happy with it. It wasnt in a day or two when we smelled gas leaking. We called PC Richard and they told us we had to call Viking. Nobody would come out unless we call the gas company to come out. So, the gas company had to come out and they had to sniff on the range to determine that it was leaking and it wasn’t the gas pipe. We called Viking back, they sent a serviceman out, it has been a couple of days and were still waiting for Viking to give the parts to the serviceman so he can come in and install it. It’s been going on a little over a week now. With the amount of money we paid and the range giving us a problem on the first day, my wife wanted to send it back. Then, all of a sudden, PC Richard said, “You cant.” They pointed to this little obscure sign in the back of the counter that says, “No returns on appliances.” My wife wasnt happy with that. We didnt see it at that time and it wasnt brought up when we bought the range that you dont have any options. We researched Viking and found online that people were having problems with them. People complained about the service and the length of time to get parts. We brought that up when we ordered the range because we went to PC Richard to cancel the next day before we even accepted and they kept telling to us how great the range was. It was just a sales pitch. If I had to do it all over again, I would not buy Viking.

I had a Viking Refrigerator in my last house and I liked it. it’s great! The only thing is at my old house, the drain at the bottom plugged real easy but you can’t really move it in and out because it’s built in, so that was a little bit of a drawback. It’s expensive to get that repaired when it plugs so I finally learned how to do it myself. I put towels all over the place but it freezes up. I got a good deal on floor model for my new house. I got the whole suite of products. Its one of the nicest fridges Ive ever had and Im really happy with it.

Transparency is a good thing.Thank you for your response. I have filed formal complaints with BBB as well as this forum of ConsumerAffairs. We complied knowing it would take longer than the stated eta due to the pandemic and unsettled supply chain as well as paid $36k in full at time of order. After 6 months of waiting I started to press for delivery so our contractors could wrap up our kitchen remodel. At the end of Sept (8 months later) I received 6 of the 8 Viking components and three (3) of them were defective or damaged; the built-in oven has a defective exterior cooling fan, the exhaust vent has a defective speed control knob and we forgave the dented side panel on the dishwasher as it is hidden (although it appeared to be damaged before packaging for shipment). The real problem is the non-delivery of the 36 5 series refrigerator and 18 7 series freezer. After many emails and phone calls this past week I spoke with a Viking inside rep (Hannah W) today and she conveyed Viking is unable to source grill kits for their entire 5 series refrigeration line and has no information on availability for the parts needed for the entire 7 series line of refrigeration. This is basically what we suspected since June and had been given vague excuses and phantom etas that came and went every 4 weeks. I have tried to email Kevin ** Vikings president without success so today I left a voicemail for him at ** with my contact information as he needs to hear his customers concerns first hand. How is it that this manufacturer can continue to place orders and demand payment in full on products they know they cannot supply?? Is this not deceit?? I have asked Viking to stop selling their refrigeration until all previous paid orders are completed. I have asked that they suspend their advertising of these units while knowing they do not have materials on hand to complete. I have also asked that they stop requiring 100% upfront payment knowing they cannot fulfill these orders and are basically able to use their customers cash as interest free loans.I have filed a grievance with the BBB and the state of Mississippis Attorney General Lynn Fitchs office stating the above issues. Had Viking been upfront in the beginning and honest about availability, adjusted their payment policies to reflect the uncertain supply capabilities and provided repair parts for defective shipped appliances this would have felt more like a partnership instead of a grab and go sales deal.

I wanted a matching kitchen and since I wanted a Viking Range, I wanted everything else Viking. It was bought for a house that is currently being built and the refrigerator is basic as far as features go. I just have to keep my food cold and so far, the quality seems great. Also, the people that I bought it from were awesome. I’d recommend it.

My choices are limited when I go to 36-inches as far as the manufacturers. Viking was one of them. And at the time, they gave an incentive. When I bought the range, I got a free Viking dishwasher. The quality is good. When the range was delivered, there were some scratches on it. The store that I purchased it from had somebody come out and take care of it. I used the broiler six months after I bought the range and it didnt work. So, the appliance store sent out whoever they use for repairs and service and they were able to fix the problem. The one question I have is why when you go to a 36-inch range, Viking doesnt offer a self-cleaning oven. Also, the 36-inch range is more of a commercial range. Because we pay a good amount for these ranges, Viking should give a tutorial after they install it. How to use it, what to look for, how to clean it. That would be helpful.

We were told that Viking was the second best among appliance companies. We couldnt afford the best, which would be Wolf. Wolf wouldve been probably double the cost. Viking had good reviews and their products look good. We went to Trail Appliances, the distributor, and the salesperson showed the Viking products to us. We liked the products and bought several appliances in the same make, including a gas stove, convection oven, and dishwasher.Trail Appliances tested the refrigerator before they left. There was a problem with it, so they didnt install it. They replaced it immediately. It was really good that they tested it. Other dealers just put the appliance in, then you find out that it doesnt work. So far, the Viking refrigerator that we got is really good, and Im happy with it. We like its looks. Everybodys complimented me on it. It works better than my previous refrigerator. I like the excellent ice maker. Well need that in the summer. The good thing about it is that it keeps fruits and vegetables for a couple of weeks, especially fruits, compared to my previous fridge where Id have to throw it out in three or four days.

The Viking range was so pretty. I got one thats jet black with rose gold accent. Its one of my fancy splurges for the kitchen. My house was being renovated and the designer did all of the ordering. The installation of the range was easy. They had a nice team come in and set everything up and level it. The range works really well. I like the fact that youre not actually sitting the pot on the burner. Youre sitting it on the little metal thing above the burner. Its set up pretty high from the burner. Theres an indentation in the burner so the flame is set down in the indentation, which means that it keeps you further away from the flame. You have to work very hard to burn yourself. Thats a really nice safety feature. The range also works quickly. There are lots of options on how to set the temperature. I like the fact that the knobs light up when a particular burner is being used because its also easy to know if a burner is on. If the pilot light didnt light, you dont have to worry about gas flowing because the light is on will tell you which burner is active.

I do like my range so far. It heats my food which the oven is supposed to do. It feels sturdy, reliable and doesnt have a lot of bells, buttons and whistles. It looks as though it will do what its supposed to do for the next 20 years. My expectation is that because it is expensive, Im going to have it for a long time. It is easy to clean. Im not a big cook, but my understanding from people who do is that its important to have the temperature consistent inside of the oven. Thats one of the things that Viking is known for - even heating. So if ever I take up baking, Ill find that to be true.

Viking refrigerator is very expensive at $13,000 plus tax. However, it was not that great because within a few months it stopped cooling down. On the contrary, it was warming up so it was losing a lot of food a couple of times. Luckily, it was under warranty so they replaced the fan, but that shouldn’t happen with a $13,000 refrigerator. I was not happy with that at all. We chose Viking because when we bought this house, they had used Viking professionals. We just wanted to match it when I replaced the dishwasher and the refrigerator. They have a good brand name that’s supposed to be really good quality, but it isn’t. Im building a house in Malibu and I don’t think Ill get another Viking because of that experience.

I’ve known about Viking for quite some time. The name was pretty strong but they went through some rough patches as of recent. But I liked changes that were made after the company was purchased by Middleby. I liked the BTUs that they offered too. There werent many out there that had higher BTU. I used to have a Viking 16 years ago and the new one works just as good as the old one. We had some growing issues where they, unfortunately, tried to keep up with demand and not necessarily putting as much time and effort into research and development. But it looks like the purchase by the newer company has fixed all those issues. My range is a solid piece of equipment. So far, it’s been working fine and is doing everything I expected it to do. I like the strength of the front three burners. I cook a lot. When finishing off sous vide or doing cordon steaks, you need the high BTU. Typically, I braised pork belly for 10 hours but I like to finish it off with a really good high sear as they caramelize. The range is helpful because it has high heat to it.Also, when I had an issue with one of my knobs, a replacement knob was sent to me immediately. Overall, I had a very good experience with the company. I like the fact that Viking has a local office here in California as well so if I ever have an issue, I could always try and get on to their distribution center or their facility over here.

The Vikings Range was already in my fourth house when I bought it in September 2015. The range, including the oven, gets hot super super fast and that concerns me because it cooks food so fast. When I scramble eggs, the estimated time is half of what it would normally take. Im concerned about burning and fires so I have to watch it. Its almost short of a microwave, and because of that it creates potential danger.

I purchased close to $30,000 of Viking appliances. I bought two under cabinet refrigerators, wine coolers, a cooktop, a built-in microwave, and built-in oven, but never had a problem with them. The main problem was the refrigerator as it constantly broke down. We were very dissatisfied with it. We had to contact their technician three times to come out and fix the problem. But their repair guys were always good. They came with the knowledge of what the problem is and they fixed it. We also had a very bad experience with their dealer Pacific Sales at Best Buy in San Jose. They kept blowing me off even if I purchased extended warranty. They told me I have to contact Viking directly. Why did they sell me the extended warranty if they will not cover the problem?

My Viking range is the second one Ive had and I really like it. It holds temperature well. Its a beautiful piece of equipment. Its the best center point of my kitchen. The one thing I dont like is that if any sort of dirt or debris gets on the pilot or the starter, it can be a bit finicky. Otherwise, I love it. Somebody came to look at that pilot because I thought it might have been broken. The technician came and it needed to be cleaned. That was a good positive experience. I bought brand new Viking Professional line 48 refrigerator and 48 Oven abo
I bought brand new Viking Professional line 48 refrigerator and 48 Oven about 4 years ago. Since this was for a major renovation to our personal home, we decided on what was easily the most expensive appliances weve ever purchased. I liked that they are American Made, and figured that certainly Viking would stand behind their highest end products, and I wouldnt have to wait weeks for replacement parts from overseas (if I ever needed them). What a BAD DECISON! Since installing the Oven, weve had to pay for replacement of the main circuit board in the oven two times. Now for the Refrigerator: DDSB483DS6. This is the most expensive yet, WORST appliance I have ever purchased. (Im a builder, remodeler, and property manager- so believe me, Ive purchased many refrigerators in my career). The Ice Maker has been replaced twice. The chute where the ice drops from the ice maker to the door does not accept the shape of the ice, so it constantly gets stuck- and definitely DO NOT USE the crushed ice feature as it will freeze and clog this chute! The next hour or so the ice in the chute then melts and drips into the small holding tray which does not drain into the pan below the fridge, so it overflows and runs down the front of the fridge and onto the floor. Further, the pan below the fridge has continuously filled up to overflowing since day 1. To address this we had to create a calendar reminder to empty the pan every 3 days. If not, the water overflows onto the floor!Needless to say, my wood floor in front of the fridge is completely ruined. Over multiple service calls by the Viking Factory recommended repair company(s) to address this, weve purchased a recommended $500 heater element designed to evaporate the water from the pan, and multiple other expensive suggested repairs- all to no effect! It got to the point that I had a drain tube installed from the pan that leads the water outside the house! The latest unpleasant experience began in September 2015. The new Viking repair company (exclusive appliance Svce 770-888-9555- they are awesome!) representative came out, saw the issues and determined that there has been a defective gasket within the door. He explained that this is what has been causing the problems all along. We disconnected the water line to the fridge in order to stop the leaking (therefore, no filtered water or ice since September) while we waited for Viking to provide us with the replacement gasket. Furthermore, this representative made a few calls to Viking on our behalf to explain the cause and ultimate damage caused by this defective part. He took and submitted multiple pictures and written explanation of the damaged floor, and filed a claim on our behalf to have Viking pay to repair the damages. While we waited for the claim to process, the Gasket was finally delivered about 6 weeks later, only to discover that the replacement part was DEFECTIVE as well!! We were then told that the entire manufacturing run of these gaskets are defective, so the new expected delivery date for the new gasket will be 8 weeks later. Ironically, the same day we received this information, the Viking Claims Department contacted me to tell me that Viking had determined that the damage to my floor was not caused by the defective appliance!LONG STORY SHORT, Viking Appliances are the WORST I have ever owned, and even worse, Viking could not care less, and is apparently unwilling to stand behind their products at all. This is the first review I have ever written on a public forum, but if it helps even one person from suffering through this very expensive, horrible experience, then it was well worth my time.

The biggest thing that sold me on the Viking was the burners, just being able to turn them on without having to program anything. That was one of the big features. And I have cats, so they walk on top of the stove. Most stove controls are on top but the quality of the Viking, the BTUs, the way it cooks and everything, it’s great and I really enjoy it. We have four different Viking appliances and we love their line. We also love the range. But with the refrigerator that we bought, Im not feeling super great about it. After less than two months of us installing it, the refrigerator died. There was a problem with the fan in the freezer portion that wasnt blowing air up the refrigerator, so everything was spoiled. We called the company where we purchased the Viking Refrigerator from and then they contacted Viking. Then they sent someone under the manufacturer warranty. However, that process took three weeks so we were out of a refrigerator for three weeks. The refrigerator is fixed now, although there is a popping noise that occurs occasionally. There was a Viking Range in the house that we just bought. It exhausted and we bought another Viking Range to replace it and its excellent. It did exactly what it advertises it does and you know its well. It looks good in our kitchen and it works. We have three young kids so for us whats important is the functionality and having no issues. As long as the burners go on and we could cook things and use the oven like we do every day, and as long as its high functioning thats great for us.However, Snyder Diamond did not do a good job of communicating with us. They quoted us a certain time frame where the range would be ready but it wasnt ready then. They had the company that they recommended install the range go pick it up at the factory wherever they were holding the stoves and it wasnt there yet. They miscommunicated so it took longer than it should have and it was Snyder Diamonds fault, not the people who installed it. I thought they quoted me in when it will be installed by and then that was pushed by a weekend into the next week. Also, it was hard to get them on the phone or going through that process. I had an email back and forth with the guy from Snyder Diamond cause I was like, Can you give me a call? and he just wouldnt respond. And then I had to literally track him down. We needed the range and Ive never been frustrated and I dont understand why I cant get a callback about this. We were then about to spend $8,000 or $10,000 on this range and I deserved a callback in a timely way.It was top of the time because my wife was pregnant. We needed a stove for heating milk and everyday things, like for breakfast, and every day that passed was getting tenser for us. Its unfortunate for me that theyre the closest distributor of all these parts or products thats in my house now because Im trapped when it comes to dealing with them. On the other hand, the installers were excellent and they had their stuff together. They called me and they got to the bottom of it. They were problem solvers and Snyder Diamond was not.

Over the years I’ve always wanted to get a Viking range. We moved back to America about five years ago and I went to remodel the kitchen, and that’s when I purchased one. The look is very nice. There’s a couple of quirks on it ‘cause when it came, the knobs were all put in the wrong thing. I didn’t know what was going on when we turned the stove on. I couldn’t understand why we couldn’t turn it smoothly from one adjustment to the other. We came to find out that the back of these knobs were put on wrong. So when the service guy came out, he looked at it and changed the knobs. As far as working with the Viking people, they’ve been very good and the service is top-notch.One of the things Ive noticed is its difficult to see the numbering on the Viking oven on what you want to set it to since its chrome and it is very shiny. When we turn the oven on to 350, we can’t tell when the light goes on or off when it becomes 350. We wait for five minutes and it should be there. We’re trying to get a little external temperature thing to put on there. Other than that, it’s really nice and it gets hot really fast. We like it a lot.

Initially, we had a difficulty with baking, and then the temperature just cut off. It ended up taking an hour and a half to bake one sheet of cookies after it had warmed up for a good 20 and then 40 minutes. It took a long time. Someone came out, and he said nothing was wrong with and it hasnt done it since. But so far, so good.I live in an area that is lower population. We dont have as many service people to service. Initially, I was told I would have to wait a month to a month and a half for someone to come out and look at it. I pleaded with the gal on the phone. “Well, it’s just before Christmas, and I have a four-year old. And were looking forward to baking.” Lo and behold, someone had availability in their schedule. She called me right away and said, “I can get you in right away. Are you available?” I said, “Of course, I am.” I was disappointed in that. I said, “Gosh, if I had any future issues, it would be a bummer to have to wait that long for service.”In addition, I can’t get a pizza pan to go all the way in. Its not the depth of the oven. It just needs to be an inch and a half further in depth, and then a regular pizza pan could fit in. That was shocking to me. We ran into it on the first day of our move. We had the movers here and I thought, “Oh, Ill just pick up pizzas and cook them in the oven.” Because we live a ways out from any pizza place. I had to cut all the pizzas in order for them to fit into the oven, which is a pain in the neck. And then anytime I go to fix a pizza, I cant use the basic pizza pan, which is a bummer. Other than that, Ive enjoyed using the stove top, and the oven has been great since. Ive been happy.

I bought a Viking dishwasher in 11/2009. A year and a half into owning this, the racks rusted and dishwasher needed some major service. Four years into ownership, racks rusted again and the control panel had to be replaced because the dishwasher would not run past 5-10 minutes and would blink fill error according to service person. This happened on Christmas morning with a house full of company. Then in 3/2013, the drain pump failed. Part was ordered. The service person had to pull dishwasher out of its space and then realized it would take at least 3 hours to repair, costing upwards of $300. We had already spent that much in previous repairs. So a $2,000 dishwasher less than 5 years old is going to the junk pile! Also, I contacted Viking customer service with no response from them to provide an explanation or help! Unacceptable from a supposedly big name quality product supplier! Quality rating is zero!

We wanted six burners for any time that we would host the family party so a lot of thought went in for this particular range and hood. My husband made the choices and it had to be electric for the self-cleaning and gas for the cooking part. The reps were knowledgeable and they told us what was available and what we could get. My husband had one picked out and when we found out it was not self-cleaning, the rep steered us in another direction. Now were very happy with the Viking range. Were enjoying how evenly it cooks and I like how the racks slide out. We also have the Viking hood and its been working very well. Its a little noisy sometimes if we dont turn it up all the way so we have to talk to the builder and see if they installed that properly. We hosted Thanksgiving where we had 18 people over, and we pulled it off and everybody was pleased. It was the most beautiful turkey we ever pulled out of the oven! It was so evenly brown and it was just amazing. And all the food came out hot. We were able to boil water quicker than any of the other ranges that weve ever had. It also cleaned off easily by moving the racks off the top and wiping everything down. The range is so wide with those six burners, my husband and I werent bumping into each other when were side by side.

Next, the dishwasher goes. It cost $700 to repair the panel or whatever. I bought a new LG for the cost of repair. I still have not dealt with the microwave because I fear of having a carpenter redo my freaking kitchen. Next to go is the fridge. It just stopped working ... stops. **. I know it will be a fortune since just replacing a broken shelf cost me $250, so I cut my losses and bought a new fridge. And the burner in the stove clicks like it will give out any freaking minute. Oh, by the way, weve lived in a brand new house for two years. Wow Viking, wow! Im on board for class action.

We met with the district sales manager of Viking Refrigerators and it was a great meeting. We switched from Dacor and purchased from them. But when the first appliance that we bought came though, I sent him an email with pictures of the problem and never heard one word. Weve had trouble with the refrigerator and with the oven, and now we’ve got a service call in for the dishwasher, and it hasnt been a great experience. Our interaction with the customer service reps has been a disaster and they handled the situation poorly. I was spending 20,000 bucks and I wanted to get the issues resolved, and I didnt have time to mess with them. So, we went right to the retailer, Abt, and we dealt with them and they responded very promptly. The Viking product is great but getting it here in one piece is the issue. Were very satisfied with the final results, but there was no response from Viking from May until now to get the issues resolved. On the other hand, Abt was great and Id go to them any day of the week. But dont go to Viking.

We purchased a new Viking all refrigeration unit and it has been nothing but trouble. Ice forms on the back wall and around the fan unit. The fan started to make a terrible noise because it was hitting the ice. Hadco (the Viking rep in Florida) has sent repairmen a number of times, but the issue is still not solved. It appears to me to be an engineering problem as there is no positive seal when the door closes. This would allow humidity to build up inside the unit. We have used Sub Zero before, but the Viking unit appeared to be better designed - it is not. I am in the process of trying to arrange for a replacement refrigerator.

I’ve had friends with Viking and I thought it was a really good one. But mine has had a lot of trouble. My range was put together wrong so it burned out wires. It won’t work half of the time. I’ve only had it since November and I probably cooked on it three months out of all these months I’ve had it. It’s not really good. Viking sent someone to look at it and they worked on it one time, replaced some things, and got it going. But something else went wrong and maintenance people were sent to check it but Viking refused to pay for the service. They were supposed to get in touch with me to figure out what Viking is gonna do about my problem. The guys who worked on my unit said Viking just needs to send me a new one because mine never worked. We’ve spent a ton of time and I haven’t been able to use my range. It’s still sitting there. Viking got feedback from me and I’m still waiting on them to call me back. They won’t return my phone calls. I used my unit when it worked but I waited two months to fix it the first time. That’s so unsatisfactory. I need someone to fix my Viking.

Well, in the event that a Viking representative would ever read these reviews, I thought I would add our experience. We have a 48 side by side professional unit which, thank heavens, the previous owners paid for, not us. I would definitely give 1 star if we were the ones out $11,000... The day we moved in there was a puddle of water on the floor under the freezer side. Since that day - 6 months ago - we have had a technician out 4 times for the same problem. He has tried multiple solutions. One day the freezer just quit working. So much ice had built up inside that the fan broke. Now the second fan has broken. The contents of our freezer have just melted for the second time. We eventually said, Forget the ice maker! Who needs ice?! Just disconnect the water from the freezer! And today, again, the freezer is dead and water is puddling on the floor. Its a mystery to us, and obviously the technician. Since we cant afford to replace this beast - and dont really want a gigantic built-in space with a tiny-looking regular fridge in it - we are going to buy a freezer for our garage and just use the fridge side! Maybe I can use the freezer to store extra light bulbs and paper towels...I will never buy Viking!

Oven was purchased 2013, we had to move out of the house for a year after purchasing the range. Now Viking tells us we need a new motherboard to the tune of $657.00. Really? We can buy a different stove for that much. The oven goes on broil no matter what you set the oven on and the circulating fan runs even when the oven is off. Very disappointed in this quality product. Viking tells us the warranty has expired, just not right!

The quality of the Viking Range is fantastic. I already have one and I wanted another one. I like the light above the knobs. Its pretty awesome. I dont have it on my old one, but we just got the new one. The customer service at the designer show has been really good, too. However, we have had a problem with the oven temperature. Ive had a technician come out and it wasnt resolved the first time so Im waiting for them to call me back and see if they can resolve the issue. It would also be nice if there was more information on troubleshooting oven temperature for owners, if thats possible, or just a little bit more explanation on how the ovens work and how theyre a little quirky. Nevertheless, its such a beautifully made stove. The racks didnt slide out. Its a great piece of equipment.

We have a relatively new Viking wall oven that smokes terribly. We have used self-cleaning and then wiped out the residue, and it smokes terribly on the next use. Were not talking cooking odor; we get smoke so thick and fast that our fire alarm (not just smoke alarms) goes off and we are called by the monitoring company. Weve had Miele wall ovens in other houses with none of this trouble at all. The Viking is poorly designed in some manner. Maybe it greatly overheats, but there is no way to tell because there is no temperature gauge and no reliable indication (other than a flaky and useless light) that the oven is maintaining the set temperature. Unless Viking can fix or replace this terrible appliance, we are going to get rid of it and never buy Viking again.

Besides finding out that their side-by-side refrigerator is the biggest disappointment in home appliances, I found out that their customer service is the same! I had some warranty repairs done by Vikings preferred service provider and during the work, they installed an upgrade kit for the refrigerator. Months went by and we would occasionally see water under the unit. Our warranty was up so we had a different service provider come over to estimate what was wrong, a service provider we found out later that Viking had put on their list of preferred repairers. The service person found that while the unit was under warranty and the upgrade was installed, the wiring was preformed incorrectly causing the refrigerator to leak water underneath, damaging the wood flooring in the house. I called Viking on the subject and they first told me that they would not cover the faulty workmanship so I complained that it was their provider that I had used. They gave me a case number and told me that they had 24 hours to research the case and they would call me back. They did not call back and the case was left unsolved. The Viking company does one thing very well, disappoint their customers! This is not the first time that I have had the experience of poor service from Viking. Buyer beware.

Ive had my Viking range for four weeks and I absolutely love it. When I turn on the knobs, it’s very precise. It doesnt have any play in it, especially the oven, so when I set a temperature, I’m confident that that’s the temperature. I like how it’s raised up on the bottom so that I can get a Swiffer and clean up under there instead of just the dust building up. The range has been fabulous and I’m really happy with it. When I called the first time trying to get my Viking appliances registered, their reps were really helpful and told me where to look.

However, there was a problem with the shipping of our Viking Refrigerator, and we had to get another one. The first one got replaced. Even the second one, the freezer door is a little loose. I didnt wanna deal constantly having to send it back. The handle was loose, so I tried adjusting the handle. It doesnt adjust anymore. But, its good. It works. We got it from Best Buy. They were nice enough to accommodate switching out the first one. They wouldve switched out the second one cause I wasnt happy with the freezer door being crooked and the handle being loose. The handle is still loose. We were able to fix the crookedness a little bit, but at that point, we needed a fridge. Our old fridge had crapped out, so I didnt have time. They looked elegant and efficient, and I liked the overall design and workmanship. When the bottom line of the refrigerator was making a noise in the back, the guy came over and fixed it. There was no problem, and it took him one minute. Then, another problem we had was that we were making too much ice. We took it out and all of a sudden, we were not making ice anymore. So, we did everything. What happened was that the ice must have frozen in the line. The guy then took it out and fixed that aspect of it, too. Now, everything is fine. We bought our unit online and it was delivered after a few days. The range is a great purchase and it is a nice addition to the kitchen. Its really dependable, cooks well, and its overall aesthetic is really pleasing. It has PowerPlus so we could boil water quickly and the griddle works really well as well. The ability to be able to cook two different things in the oven has also been a big plus, especially for Thanksgiving.

I had a Viking at my previous home. I just like their product and the commercial aspect of it. The first one I had was the open burner kind of thing and all steel. With the new range, I like the way it cooks and the little LED light thing thats underneath that you can actually see the knobs that illuminate it. Compared to the old range I had that had a softer side and could easily be scratched at the back, this new one has a softer cushion and it doesnt mark like the first. The only shortcoming was my experience with the Viking dealer. I like the range and if I had just gotten it from someone else, it would have been a whole lot better. Everything did not happen like it was supposed to. The salesperson neglected to schedule the installers so I had appliances sitting in my kitchen for three days uninstalled. I went to that store so many times prior to them doing the delivery because I had such a bad feeling it wasn’t going to go right and I was right. But theyre the only game in town and I was trying to buy local instead of ordering it on the internet.

After multiple service calls to repair/replaced the igniters on our Viking Professional Range, we now keep a fire starter on the range top to ignite the burners. Two local service companies will not warranty either the Viking igniters or their repair/replacement because igniter parts are consistently defective if they are even available from Viking Parts. Viking Ranges will not return our calls. Nice range with chronically defective parts that are impossible to repair/replace. My friend has a Viking range and hes had it since the mid 90s. Weve been to his house and used it numerous times. When we bought our house, it had a Thermador stove range and it started to die this year. It was 20 years old and the parts were unavailable anymore and Thermador wouldnt give us anything to help us out to replace it. So we got a Viking range and we have it for a month now. We like that the cooking temperature in the oven is accurate, and that its a professional size. It has six burners which is great on holidays. During the week, I just keep a griddle on the middle too. But for holidays, its perfect for doing all that cooking. The Viking range is made well and theyre made to last, unlike the newer ovens that are out there that last four or five years, and then you have to replace them.We got the range from Gerhards and the guy that we worked with was nice but he didnt have a really good knowledge of all the brands. When the installation guys unpacked the range and put it in, I asked where was the backsplash and they told me that I had to order it extra as it didnt come with this model. I would have bought it initially with the range if I had known that it didn’t come with any backsplash because it comes flat with just a small bump in the back for the heat distribution from the oven. So the guy at the store wasnt a great salesman. We bought a dishwasher from them previously and their installers were terrible, so I was a little leery of going back. But theyre a local company that has been in business for generations. The installers for this range were much nicer than the installer for the dishwasher. So, they did a much better job. But overall, Viking is a wonderful range and Id definitely recommend them to a friend.

We liked the functionality of the Viking Ranges, the induction on one side, gas and griddle. When I was getting my range, it was quick because it was on the floor and they wanted to get it out as soon as possible. So through TA Appliances, I got it within a week or so. Then I had an appliance guy who came in, installed a power cord, and put it in for me. We use our stove quite a bit and in terms of functionality, it’s very good. But I ran into one problem that is currently being looked into. The ignition of my backburner is not coming on and not lighting that well. I called the TA Appliance guy who I got the range from and he set things up so that I was called by whoever the service team is here close to me. They were okay but some better communication as to what the problem was in the process would have been appreciated. I had to call a few times to really understand what the holdup was on getting parts. They said that they couldnt get parts over right away, but that wasnt communicated well.Other than that, my Viking range is fantastic. There are two ovens and theres a small oven on the right side. It would have been nice to get a second rack in there since we often have multiple things in there because of the conduction. There are three positions you can put the racks in but I couldnt find one. Theres none on the website or anywhere you can buy one. Itd be nice to grab some of those kind of accessories. But I managed to get a bamboo cutting board cover for the griddle and that worked out nicely.

On top of that the floor model had a small dent on the door, so it was further discounted. Im have never owned a high end refrigerator... Its amazing in comparison to my last GE Profile. My 36 gas range is 10 years old and the oven has never operated properly. I was told that the gas smell was because our propane was running low. The oven takes forever to come to temp. Now the oven is shot and Viking will not stand behind their product. The gas company came to my house last week and I discovered that two of the ignitors do not work. The heat shield is warped and split on the one side because that ignitor was working so hard on that side. The porcelain is chipped at the back of the oven. There are small holes in the burners, hence the gas leak. And if that is not enough, the springs on the door are not working. I sent pictures to Viking and their reply was, Sorry but here is the name of the repair company in my area (three hours away) and they can fix these problems as long as I pay in advance of their service call. Beware of purchasing Viking Appliances!!! We purchased a Viking Range, double oven and beverage from Macon Appliance Store in Franklin, NC and spent almost $18,000 only to find out that Viking only carries a 2 year warranty. We had Blossom Gas come out to inspect our gas and they discovered there was a leak coming from the gas range. We contacted Macon Appliance and a repairman contacted us and set up a service call. It was discovered that the gas range had a gas leak and parts were ordered. On 10/31/19 the serviceman returned with the parts to repair our gas range. It was at this time that he informed us that we owed $670.00 because the 2 yr warranty had expired. Needless to say I was livid as what company sells such expensive appliances with a 2 yr warranty. The appliances were delivered in Aug 2017 but our home was not completed until the later part of September. I have also read other reviews from customers that had the same problem with a gas leak so this is obviously a problem with Viking gas ranges yet your company wants to gauge customers that are paying high prices for these appliances with a warranty that is worth nothing. Even Lowe’s, Home Depot and other companies offer a 5 yr warranty and much better service. I will NEVER purchase another Viking appliance again and will ensure that I let people know about the terrible quality of service that Viking provides. It is a shame that a company like yours takes people for their money. I contacted your customer service to report this only to speak with a representative that was rude. I asked her to have a supervisor contact me and I never received a callback. I am also contacting the BBB to report this matter!

In fact, I bought pretty much all my appliances through them and theyve been pretty good.I love my Viking refrigerator. Its roomy and holds a lot. So far, its a great product, so Im happy. I like the fact that the lighting is wonderful. You can see everything thats in it. In addition, I like the way that they have the drawers stacked. I have extra room to put other things in that I couldnt do with my other refrigerator because I had a side-by-side refrigerator then. So, if I had a wide tray, I could never fit it in that other refrigerator. But this one holds everything beautifully. The freezer is a little small, though. It holds a little less than my other refrigerator did but thats okay.

Weve had our Viking Range for a few months now and its been awesome. Both ovens work amazing. The griddle is good, its just that its a little difficult to clean at times. But then I can get everything I want out of a 48-inch range and its right in line with other pieces of equipment that are at the same cost.

I am dissatisfied with my Viking Refrigerator. I like its size but its quality is just average. It looks good but its not durable. Ive already had to replace the ice maker after three years. The finish isnt finger proof so I had to clean it nonstop. I have other appliances from them too, like their whole cooking range, two ovens and a dishwasher, and I also got issues with those.

We read a lot of reviews online and researched, and we really like the Viking Refrigerator. Its brand recognition and quality made me choose the brand over their competitors. We ordered the one through Best Buy and when the delivery company damaged our door threshold, Best Buy took care of it. They fixed it and made it right. We found that the refrigerators compressor was louder than others. Still, it didn’t bother us as it was consistent with the reviews online. We like how our refrigerator is working and I favor its drawer freezer.

We built a new home 14 months ago and had Viking appliances put in it. But my Viking range has been broken for 12 of those 14 months. The repair guy would fix one thing and then something else would go bad or he would uncover something else that was already bad. They were out four times before somebody said, We dont ever do this, but we need to replace the range. So, I ended up getting an entirely new range. But theres not been one day that it hasnt been broken and a ticket was open. Also, if I make a call, it takes at least three weeks to get a response and somebody to work on it. At one point, I waited six weeks to get somebody to come. Thats not acceptable. Also, they are are saying, This part is stuck at.... I am so tired of all these ships because of COVID that are stuck in some foreign space station somewhere that nobody knows exists. But the product has been good once they give me the one thats working. I would buy Viking again because of the product. It was the follow-up that I have a problem with. A high-end company did a very big disservice to a good product because of how they acted post-failure.

I researched for a long time which refrigerator I was gonna choose, and I ultimately chose Viking ‘cause I liked how it looks. I’ve always known about Viking and so I bought my Viking refrigerator from where we got our plumbing supplies. The people there were great and I always liked them. I like the refrigerators quality, its size, lighting and the soft closing drawers.

Model VCBB363 Viking Refrigerator - This refrigerator was bought to fit a custom install. There was one recall that was preform for door. Since then we have had nothing but major problem with it in that sometimes it works and then it dont, all the controls at the top that control the cooling etc. Goes haywire and then it defrost itself and wont come back on for hours, and then repeat itself. Have call Viking to repair it after major failure only to find out that technicians they send out call the Viking Refrigerator a bag of worms. Not my words but those of a company that they use to repair them.Kindly Viking send a composer to fix it, however it only work for a week and a half. I have discuss this with Viking and they tell me that they will give me $1100 off a new one. I would think that these people would get their act together. I have another tech that I could that now this product back and forth and he related that it would take three to four warrant item to repair it. I am still waiting on Viking to answer him yes or no.

The Viking Range seems to be fine but when I ran a little bit of problems, Viking didn’t care until the people I bought it from pushed them. It was brand new and I just cleaned off the griddle. That was when I noticed it was damaged. There were two pit marks in it and with the amount of money I spent for it, I didn’t want a damaged griddle. They sent a replacement part and there was a trough and a backplate but they forgot to send the screws. I talked to the people I bought from since they just delivered it and they tried to contact Viking. Viking said they were not replacing it and the rep from the dealership had to push them to get in order to get it replaced. The customer service wasnt that great in order to get something replaced. Other than that, I like the whole thing and it’s a great range.

Appliances were ordered through Ferguson Appliances and I do not have a Viking order number. The number above references the job number for repairs. I was very pleased with the design of my refrigerator and oven. Both required repairs within a few weeks of installation. The oven was overheating and shutting off. The refrigerator cooling drawer wasnt working and the freezer was not maintaining an even temperature. The repair service was efficient but it took quite some time to receive parts. I was very surprised both products began malfunctioning so soon after installation (within 1-2 months).

The refrigerator was packaged well. The wall preparation information for this cabinet depth model was not accurate in that one of the two bolts used for anti-tipping did not reach the block on the wall. Dimensions given were not correct for the block (2x4) installation. The refrigerator holds temperature very precisely and the interior LED lighting is terrific. Shelves adjust nicely and so do the drawer units. All shelves and cubbies in the door adjust nicely. The one objection we have is that the refrigerator is quite noisy as refrigerators go. Even the owners manual mentions the whirring and other sounds that the unit makes. For a product that costs this much, one would think that it could be quieter. We will just have to get used to it!!

Our Viking range has been really good. We did have one small problem with it very shortly after owning it. Two of the burners wouldnt light. But they quickly got us in touch with somebody to come out and replace the igniters. The person who they had come out and service it was awesome and had it fixed really quickly, but he said, “I just dont like how one of these is lighting. Its still lighting fine, but I just dont want to leave here and say it’s fixed. And then in three months, you have another problem.” So, he came out a second time, even though it was working when he left, and replaced that igniter entirely. It was great customer service from them. The only challenge with Viking is totally esthetic. The only frustrating part is that the surface below the grates are very shiny black, and theyre the ultimate dust collector if youre not keeping on top of it.

The range came with our house and the quality is not very good. It is not self-cleaning, which I dont like. It cooks food. But they can upgrade the design. It’s a large oven but its insufficient to put two standard sized cookie trays side by side. So you get this bigger oven but theres no benefit of the oven, only the benefit of the extra burners on top. We had to get an extra oven. Maybe their top-of-the-line models are better. This is an entry level model but its still a $5,000 oven. Its three years old and its already had two service calls. The warranty is only two years. The oven wouldnt light and the burners on top are sporadic in their lighting. Ive had cheaper ovens that are way better. I’d never buy another Viking. The service people were great to a degree. They were responsive. They came out and they charged me for the replacement pieces. They were gonna look into whether they could get a courtesy warranty on another part, but they never followed up. The people at Viking themselves who I contacted because there was a recall on some of these ovens confirmed my recall was not there. Even though I found some other parts that were not adjusted correctly at the factory and I had to pay to have the service guy readjust them, they said, “Thats too bad. It’s out of warranty.”

I got a Viking Refrigerator because I thought it was a better brand and architecturally they look very nice. Their team scheduled delivery very well but when I called to ask about questions, they didnt seem to know as much on the sales department side. I hoped they would have known a little bit more about the refrigerator so I can try to troubleshoot, instead of me trying to call 1-800 number since I had a little trouble at the beginning. It wasnt cooling properly, but I called it in and they came. And its working fine now.
